Not yet. ‘Cause her list of people — of enemies are just, like, as long as mine. Harder to track down. I knew this was gonna be difficult from the start. I got to know who put me in this wheelchair. You think you can do better than the police? I was a P.I. I’ve done undercover work. And I’m not juggling a dozen cases. I understand that. If I were you, nothing would stop me. Esme, if I thought you were doing the wrong thing, honey, I-I would never have cosigned the lease. Well, maybe that was a really bad decision on your part. I couldn’t be more proud of you, really, that you took a stand to create an independent life for yourself and for your son. Really? No, I did not kill the good doctor. Now, maybe austin didn’t tell you, but I paid for him to go to medical school. I supported him during his residency. And when I got back to maxie’s apartment that night, I thought he was the one inside waiting for me. Because I had no way of knowing it was charlotte. You know? Valentin didn’t tell me. That’s the thing about being director. Only a few people need to know where you actually are at any given time. You can run the wsb as you see fit. Hm. Once I was able to oust frisco jones, the rest was easy. Anyone who might have been an obstacle has been transferred to a very out-of-the-way station, demoted, or left the bureau altogether. I’ll have to fly to london now and then to keep everyone on their toes, but, uh… everything else, I can pretty much do remotely. Speaking of obstacles, who is our priority? Sonny corinthos or anna devane? Both.

I’m — I think most of them would accept me. Unfortunately, my very catholic family absolutely would not. So, what kind of evidence are we talking? Anna told me she had the hard copy of a report from a-a mission, an op that went sideways. It incriminated forsyth. Well, I mean, that shouldn’t be a big deal. The wsb probably has hard copies and digital copies on file. Yeah, but they wanted to bury that report, and anna wanted to keep it, a hard copy of it, so she couldn’t be scapegoated into being the reason why the op went bad. She had it with her the night she shot charlotte. She obviously was distracted with charlotte, so when she went back to check her bag, the report was gone, so was any corroborating documents that went along with it. Then forsyth’s body turns up, and the M.E. Finds a key in his shoe. Okay. So the report’s in the locker. Most likely, but I won’t know until I check. What does anna think? Anna doesn’t know yet. Felicia: Charlotte was stalking you?! Yeah. Victor got in her head, convinced her that I was a threat to her father. A-and so she was trying to drive me away to protect him. And valentin knew? Yeah. He knew from the night that she broke into my hotel suite, and he didn’t tell me. Well, why the hell not? Valentin should have known that you would want to be supportive and that you would want to get charlotte help. He doesn’t trust me. I don’t think he trusts anyone because… he himself is untrustworthy.

[ Sighs ] It’s over. I mean, I-I — that is it for us. This whole thing with charlotte, it just…shattered any illusions that I had about him. I’m so sorry. Okay, well, if he had the resources to get you arrested, then he could have arranged the hit. Do I think he was behind the shooting? I don’t know. Well, it’s worth looking into. Anyone else? Impossible. And even if I did meet him, what would I even say? You know, I-if he is gay… and he came out to my family… he lost them because of it. And I’m not brave enough to risk a loss like that. Revealing your true self, especially to your loved ones, can… it is the scariest decision you can make, but it’s also a necessary one. Also not yet. I don’t know what my approach is gonna be. I mean, if someone’s watching forsyth’s body, I don’t want to lead them to the locker. But why not just tell anna? Well, if you were anna and you found out about this key and the report being in this locker, what are you gonna do? I’m gonna go straight to the train station and open up that locker. Right. Which sounds like a trap. Which could be a trap. Yeah. Yeah. Forsyth was murdered. Whoever killed him… could also be after anna. Right. And I am sure that locker is under surveillance. This whole thing could just be, like, a setup to draw anna out. Ri ght. So why not turn the keyover to the pcpd? Anna: So, years ago, right at the beginning of my career at the wsb, I was involved in this op that got blown. The mission report exonerated me, as it should have, and it placed the blame on the person who had planned and executed the op. As it should have? Well, yeah. My opinion was, yes. And it was the bureau’s position. At least it was at the time. They’ve changed their minds. They did. This agent in question, jameson forsyth, he managed to make himself indispensable to the bureau. So… they buried the report. They did. Yeah. But I kept a copy of it just for insurance, you know? Right. Just in case they tried to pin it on you. Right. But nothing ever came of it. So I kept the report and I just put it away in this trunk that I had full of reports. And I was very fastidious about stuff like that back then. And I put it in storage in england, where it remained for decades. And then a couple of years ago, I brought it out here thinking that I would go through the trunk and… yeah. I just never got ’round to it. Well, you have been kind of busy the past couple of years. I suppose. Anyway, when it was clear that I wasn’t going to ever go through the trunk, I-I put it in storage here in port charles. So when your house burned down, was the trunk still in storage? Yeah. So, after the fire, I thought, “oh, I wonder if there’s something in there that could help me figure out who’s after me.” And so robert helped me bring it to maxie’s apartment, and I went through it. And as soon as I saw forsyth’s name, I just knew it, you know? He would kill to keep that report buried. Hume: I have no preference personally, but, uh, why not eliminate corinthos altogether? Well, that option’s still on the table. But only as a last resort. Corinthos has controlled port charles for decades. Removing him would create a power vacuum. Now, the last thing we need is a bunch of crime families vying for control of port charles and its waterways. Next thing we know, state and federal law enforcement will be nosing around. Exactly the kind of attention pikeman has to avoid to get our merchandise to international buyers. No, we’re much better off securing sonny’s cooperation. Except that hasn’t really worked so far. Well, money hasn’t worked. Sometimes it doesn’T. All that means is we find a different kind… of leverage. You ever heard of pikeman security group? Yeah. Uh, basically corporate mercenaries. And they supply weapons systems. They’ve been in the news once or twice. Well, what hasn’t been in the news is pikeman is in bed, uh, with the wsb. They have some kind of revolving-door arrangement where former wsb agents work for pikeman, and then pikeman personnel work for the bureau. Another connection to anna. And guess what. Pikeman has made overtures to me. I take it you didn’t accept those overtures. Let’s just say it did not live up to pikeman’s satisfaction. So pikeman may have a reason to come gunning for you. Anything’s possible.

I thought about loggingthe key with the pcpd, but… then they’d have access to our files, our records. And this guy was wsb. I mean, they could end up monitoring the case. Oh, they probably are already. And then they’d confiscate the key. Yeah, and if the report is actually in the locker, the wsb is gonna grab it and destroy it forever. Right. Which puts anna in even more danger. Anna devane. Again, professional curiosity. Why is she so important? That’s classified. Understood. That said… I can see how this intel might help you help me. If you think I can be of use.

[ Chuckles ]

[ Knocks table ] Back in the ’80s, anna worked a wsb op that went sideways. Forsyth was the field agent in charge, and he screwed up big-time. And the wsb buried the incident. Of course. But anna was thinking ahead. She kept a copy of the original mission report naming those responsible, including forsyth. And I imagine if this report got out, it would be… embarrassing. Which is why forsyth was supposed to retrieve the report and eliminate anna. Too bad he failed at both. On halloween night, I took the report and a journal that I had supporting it, and I-I took it to show robert. And he agreed with the theory. So then when I returned to maxie’S… …and I saw the door was unlocked, I thought, “oh, no. There’s someone inside my home. Again.” And you thought it was forsyth. Yeah. And if it was him, he was there to…kill me. So I just went through that door with my gun leveled and the safety off. And I saw a figure in the shadow. And… I-I-I yelled, “freeze.” But they didn’T. They turned. And they had what I thought was a weapon in their hand. And…I fired… …thinking it was him. Look, I-I didn’t mean to imply t-that it’s a requirement to come out to your family. It’s just when I decided to come out to my parents, who I know are very different from yours… well, thank you for acknowledging that up front. …I tied myself up in knots over it. And with my mother, you know, it wasn’t so much my sexuality that was the problem. The problem was I was involved with an older woman, which, in hindsight, her concerns were valid.

[ Chuckles ] And if you tell anyone that, I will deny it. Your secret’s safe with me. But… look, you know, with my dad, he is totally old-school and traditional. My dad and i are incredibly close. You know, even at times when I felt like my mom and i weren’t that close, my dad has always been there for me. And… I was afraid, terrified that if I revealed my true self to him… he would reject me. Clearly he didn’T. Did he come around eventually or…? He accepted me right from the beginning. You might not think that a devout catholic and a “legitimate coffee importer” might be that open-minded. But his love and his support for me allowed me to truly explore who I am. All my life, I have bent over backwards for my family, for parents who were never satisfied with anything I ever did! My mother won’t even accept money from me unless it’s funneled through my brother first. Every single cent that has gone toward her care has come from me. As soon as I heard that spencer had been sentenced to pentonville, I went out of my way to be sure that he’d be protected. Not that he ever asked for my help. But because he’s your grandson! That makes him family! And that’s what family does! So you and martin and my mother can continue to treat me like I’m less than dirt, but I know, and, more importantly, god knows, what’s in my heart. And that is more than enough for me.

I’m really happy for you, kristina. I am. But me and mine… we’re not there yet. And I don’t know if we ever will be. I respect that. Really? You don’t think I’m a coward? You? No. Have you met you?

[ Chuckles ] You’re kind of amazing. Yeah, I kind of am, aren’t I?

[ Chuckles ] As far as coming out to your family, if and when that is what you decide to do, that timing is totally your own. But whatever you need from me, you’ve got it. Thank you, kristina. Of course. And for the record… you’re pretty amazing yourself. I am. I’m sorry, cyrus. You’re absolutely right. I have no idea what family means to you. But I do know that — that — I hope that… every single doubt that I’ve had about you is wrong. And thank you for keeping spencer safe. That’S… that’s what we do. And as far as the rest of it goes, could we just — I don’t know — just wait and see? I’ll take that as a down payment on a future apology. I look forward to giving it to you. Alright then.

And maybe that’s why forsyth is dead — because he knew who that someone else was. So the only person who knows about the report is the person who was in on the op. And that person is anna. She’s the only remaining witness. Whoever wants to bury that report wants to bury her, too. Do you think he’s still after you? I think he was. Was? Yeah. Um, when I returned to maxie’s apartment after the shooting… um, someone had been there and they’d been through the trunk and they’d taken everything pertaining to forsyth and the op. It was all gone. And shortly after that, forsyth turned up in the port charles morgue. He was a victim of a hit-and-run. He was found on the side of the road. And there was no indication that the vehicle ever even slowed down. Murdered? Yeah. I mean, that’s what it looks like. I bet you forsyth died because of something that is in that report. Our team went through forsyth’s hotel room, his luggage, his car. We gave you everything we found. The last message from forsyth was that he had the report, so…he either lied about having it or he left it somewhere as insurance, which means that report is still out there somewhere.

[ Hands clap ] Like a ticking bomb. What if you were the intended target and they wanted to lead the investigation away from that assumption? If you’d been hit by a wsb rifle, investigators could claim that that gun was bought on the black market and no one will connect it to pikeman. I’m not ruling anything out. I just — I want to be clear. I don’t know for sure if pikeman tried to kill me, but I don’t see a reason why they would try to kill anna. That we know of. But to find out, I’m gonna have to start back at square one… and see where this trail leads.

I mean, what do you think eddie would have said if michael tried to talk to him about a business deal? That doesn’t matter. Michael wasn’t even working for elq. He’s a shareholder, nothing more. He had no right to go behind my back and close that deal. Well, that makes no sense. I don’t have to do this? That is so not the answer I was hoping for. Please, chase, just stand up. So, I ran into dr. Navarro leaving the hospital, and she’d heard about andrea’s miscarriage. And her reaction was that miscarriage is not uncommon. And she reminded me of all the people who’ve had children through surrogacy who couldn’t otherwise. And it really resonated with me. So I ended up taking that meeting with claire brown, the matching professional, and she presented me with new potential surrogate candidates for us. But then I ran into my mom, and her advice was that whatever we choose to do, it has to be a mutual decision. And I know that she’s right. So after my conversation with my mom, I had a million thoughts running through my brain. So I went for a walk in the park to get some air, and I ran into willow and baby amelia. Did it feel like torture? In a way. But torture of the sweetest kind. I got to hold the baby. And I swear it almost knocked me over with longing to have a baby of our own. Or would you rather go out in a blaze of glory?” So I went out on that stage and I sang my heart out. I got a standing ovation. And from that night on, I was blaze. Whoa. That is amazing. My next boyfriend, trey, was not that much better. Not that he was abusive, but my parents did not like him, and I was in my rebellious phase. So I married him for what felt like five minutes. And then when that failed… …I thought I would try college. And when I was in college, I had an affair with my professor. How old was he?

She was in her mid-30s. What was that like, when kristina found you crying? She was actually really wonderful. She calmed me down, got me out of the park, took me back to her place, and listened while I opened up a vein. And then… kristina offered to be our surrogate again. You know I loved your grandfather. And in many ways, edward was a wonderful man, and I cherish his memory. I feel the same way. But he loved keeping you all in an endless competition. Everybody always jockeying for power. He loved playing you all against each other. You versus your mother, you versus A.J., All the while belittling poor alan, who wanted nothing to do with the family business. I remember when he exiled tracy, and then he let her come home, and then he exiled her all over again. My mother was hardly an innocent. That is true. And look, maybe that made for a very successful business, but it made you all miserable. And edward is gone. Do you really want to carry on his legacy? You at michael’s throat? Michael at yours? That’s just how the quartermaines are, lois.

[ Scoffs ] Really? What about lila? Remember I told you that when ned was out of commission, michael closed a deal between elq and an australian firm? Well, that’s why I’m going. I’m going to finalize the paperwork and probably oversee a few other acquisitions while I’m there. Yeah, but that’s elq, not aurora. I still don’t get why you have to go. Michael was gonna go, but he was reluctant to leave the kids and willow so soon after her leukemia. Well, I think it’s really wonderful of you to offer to go so michael can stay home. I just wish you would have told me, you know? So I could have planned and processed it. It really did come together last minute. I’m gonna miss you. I’m gonna miss you.

You started this by asking about the most important moments of my life. This is definitely one of them. And to my surprise, I’m, like, not even nervous at all. No, it just feels right. It does. Even if we can’t predict the future, at least we know we’ll have each other. Do you remember when we first met? You clocked me over the head with a bottle. Then you arrested me. Mm-hmm. When I tell people about that day, I’ll say it was one of the most important moments in my life, ’cause it was the day that I met my wife. Lila was — she was sweet, angelic, loving. But she was nobody’s pushover. She saw through every one of you, including her husband. And she loved you all anyway. Grandmother was one of a kind. Yeah. You know, I asked her one time what her secret was. And she told me, “I always look for the good in everyone, and I almost always find it.” She was a quartermaine. You could try her way for a change. I mean, look for the good, right? You were incapacitated. You weren’t able to finish the deal. So michael stepped in and he made the deal for you, which was good for elq, it was good for everyone involved in the company, including you. So instead of trying to blow up the deal, why don’t you thank michael for making the deal? And the next time a deal comes around, you can ask michael to collaborate with you. You guys can work together instead of against each other. I mean, I don’t know, maybe the results will surprise you. You really channeled my grandmother right there. I hope you know how proud of you she’d be.

[ Laughs ] Okay, so where are we going? Well, I was thinking café cherie. Order a bottle of wine, maybe two. Mmm. Sounds like a perfect farewell dinner. Okay. I realize that I’m letting you down, carly, but it’s only a week. I know, I know, and I know it’s important to you. ‘Cause if it weren’t, I would tell you to send ned. I couldn’t trust ned to close this deal. No way. The man can’t see past his own ego for the good of the company. You sound like michael. Michael is right. You should have seen ned when he found out michael closed the deal. He turned into a little 4-year-old. Told michael that he wasn’t authorized. He should have been thanking him. I get it. I mean, it sounds like ned. But you’re usually the one to let things go and to move forward. Well, one trip to pentonville is enough for me. Ned is not gonna stab me in the back again. I understand that. Please don’t let it change who you are. I can’t undo what I’ve been through. I know. But we can choose to fill our lives with better things to dwell on, right? Like our dinner. [ Both laugh ] I don’t understand. The last time kristina offered to be our surrogate, you wanted nothing to do with it. No, no, no, we talked about that. And kristina admitted that when she had initially offered, she hadn’t really thought it through. It was just an impulsive idea, and I admitted that I overreacted. I mean, I was just hurt because my sister can carry a child and I can’t, but kristina’s being really sincere about doing it, and she’s in perfect health and she’s kind of the perfect candidate, but only if it’s something you want, too. Look, if this is — if this is what you want, I think we should accept kristina’s offer. Are you sure? I’m as sure as I am of my love for you. Let’s have a baby.

[ Chuckles ] Her name was parker, and it started off as a crush, but, you know, it developed into something much deeper. And that was my first and only relationship with a woman. How did it end? She dumped me for her ex. Ouch. No, I — honestly, I don’t fault her for that because… if not for parker, I might have gone on denying that part of myself for god knows how long. I certainly know what that’s like.

She implied that we’re all in this together, fighting this malpractice suit, and that I could do my part just by answering all her questions. But underneath? The more questions that she asked, the clearer it became that gh’s plan is to sacrifice me and save themselves. That cannot be true. It is. How? Think about it. Whenever we hang out, you always come over to my place, or we meet up at mom’s or sam’s or a restaurant somewhere. Never here. You have never been to my apartment? Wow.

And, you know, it didn’t seem to bother chase all that much. He was being polite. Or maybe he was just seeing gloria for exactly who she is. Yeah, a meddling italian grandmother whose views on modern relationships are stuck in the 1800s. Exactly. Chase and I have never even discussed marriage. We just moved in together. Indicating that marriage is probably the next step. We are nowhere near that step, and that’s a-okay by me. Good to know. It is good. I just said that. Chase and I are perfectly happy the way things are. Lois: You made it!

I put him in a headlock and told him if ava wasn’t found, I’d be back for him. Okay, that could be a problem. Austin was murdered, and if anyone saw you threaten him, they could assume that you did it.

Dante has already been out here to question me. Why? Because of austin? Oh, nina, there is so much you don’t know. Then fill me in. Do you remember when you walked in on sonny and me having a tense conversation? It was a few months ago. Yeah. I asked you what was going on, and neither of you would tell me. I was being blackmailed. Over what?

[ Sighs ] When nikolas went missing… I had every reason to believe that he was dead. Define “every reason”. I thought I killed him. Oh, my god! Ava! It was an accident. He came here. He was in a rage, a-a-and he — he was threatening to disappear and — and take avery with him. I mean, I had to do what I had to do to stop him, and I-I grabbed a statue, and I hit him. I-I just wanted to stop him, that’s all, but he fell, and he stopped moving, and i panicked. I thought he was dead. Well, thank god you were wrong. I was — I was trying to hide his body when austin found me…

[ Exhales sharply ] …And he told me that he would help me cover it up, and then the body disappeared, and it was austin’s cousin, mason. He claimed that he had it, and he said that he would bring it to the police if I didn’t do everything he told me to do. Wait, wait. Wait. So, austin’s cousin mason was blackmailing you because you killed nikolas, but he wasn’t actually dead? Yeah. But mason wasn’t acting alone. It turns out austin was working with him. That was it. After questioning austin about ava, I never went near him again. If the cops decide that you’re a suspect — and that’s a big if — you say you’re not talking to anybody unless my attorney is present, and that includes my son, dante. Understood. I take care of my people. If you get picked up, you’ll have the best representation. I appreciate that. But let’s hope that doesn’t happen because the less attention the cops pay to you, the more valuable you are to me. There you go. Tell me what you think. Don’t spare my feelings. I don’t know anymore, you know? If the muldoons can prove that the hospital knew that somehow I was negligent and they turned a blind eye, the hospital would be liable for damages. So… martin thinks that gh’s best plan is to say that I was negligent, but that I acted without the knowledge of the hospital. But you weren’t negligent, and you’re going to explain that to a jury when you testify. They’ll have to be sympathetic to you.

[ Chuckles ] Really? Have you met me?

Apparently my testimony alone could tank the case. Says who? My lawyer. He said it a bunch of times. Oh, that’s ridiculous. Mm. Is it? If martin grey doesn’t believe in you, fire him. I think he does believe in me, but he’s also a lawyer, and good lawyers, they — they point out the landmines. I mean, this — this case at its core, it’s about a grieving family who are looking for answers. And really, can you blame them? No, of course not. So, it’s possible the jury will feel that way, too. And it’s possible to have empathy for the family and recognize that their loss wasn’t your fault. I don’t know. I just feel like the minute I get on the stand, the jury’s sympathies are going to be with the muldoons, and the only way that I can win them over is to get them to, you know…like me. Well, you did it with me, and I’m a way tougher sell. A bunch of strangers — cakewalk. You see, I know I’m supposed to take that as a pep talk, but all I heard was…you like me.

And so, when — when he tried to convince me that he was being coerced, that he didn’t want to help his cousin, that he was trying to get me out from under the blackmail, I believed him. But nikolas wasn’t dead. And I’m convinced that austin knew it all along. I just don’t get it. What was his end game? Per usual, in this underworld at least, all roads lead back to sonny. Well? Pikeman needs you to facilitate another shipment. I thought I made myself clear. I don’t do anything for pikeman unless you tell me who the shooter was at the metro court. We’re not the police, mr. Corinthos, or the wsb. Pikeman is a manufacturer. One who exports merchandise through my channels. And we’re willing… …to pay double this time.

Did mom try to discourage you from trying again? No. No, she was typical mom. Wants whatever I want. Okay, good. But when I told her I took the meeting without consulting tj.. hey, technically, you did consult tj. You know what I mean. Yes. Okay. Go on. She just said that whatever tj and I choose to do, we have to make that decision together. But I just… I have this sinking feeling that tj might never be ready. So, I went to the park to clear my head and I ran into willow and amelia. Ooh. Not ideal. It was nice, actually. Willow was really sweet, and I got to hold the baby. That wasn’t hard for you? Not at first. It was so amazing to have this tiny little human in my arms. But once I left them, I just — I couldn’t stop thinking about how I might never have a child of my own. I can hear it in her voice and in the way she moves, and as a mother, that’s all I could ask for. For the record, your daughter makes me very happy, too.

Martin thinks the biggest hurdle is the question of why it didn’t screen muldoon for more tests that may have indicated the presence of cancer. But you told me you wanted to. He didn’t want any more tests done. Yes. Yes. No, I know, and… but, you know, they might say something like I didn’t — I didn’t explain it to him fully or maybe he was open to the test and I just didn’t bother. So, you, what, told him he was fine and pushed him out of your office? No, but they might say I got busy with my research or with other patients. Finn, you would never do that. I know that, and you know that. What if the jury doesn’t know that? All this marriage talk — it’s got to be wigging you out. Do I look wigged out? By the way, I’m fairly certain no one says that anymore. My family just really loves weddings, okay? In, like, a really unhealthy, codependent way. Have you been to a lot of them? Of weddings? But from my mother, on the other hand, that’s a completely different story. Not to sound callous, but, uh, I can’t imagine it’s good for business to have a homeless man hanging around out front. Mm. Probably not. I did tell him to come inside, but he didn’t want to. So, I just brought him some food. Well, that’s kind of you. Oh, well, we wrap up all the unused food and we send it over to the homeless shelter. So, I would have been feeding him anyway. At least this time, he’s getting a hot meal. And, you know, even if the cameras were working, I don’t think it would help me. I mean, that’s why I can’t bring the note and the picture to the cops. They’re just going to think that I hired somebody to get rid of austin. I mean, even dead, that man is still making trouble for me. You think I should have taken the deal? I think it’s better to play along than to make yourself an obstacle that needs to be removed. When I was in afghanistan, there were a lot of these private security groups there. Including pikeman. These are powerful people with connections to all the major intelligence ops. Cia, wsb. If they come at you, it’ll be at a level that you may not have seen before. I appreciate your insight. I’ve already considered all that, and I realized my best move right now is to get out. I don’t want pikeman investing any more in me. I’m betting that they think I’m more trouble than I’m worth and move on. It’s like I’ve lost all self-control. Well [Clears throat] I think that’s a good thing. That I’m a human walking waterworks. You’re obviously entitled to your own feelings about your mother, but I don’t want you to be mad at her on my account, because I think she’s awesome. You do? Yeah. I think I know that, somewhere deep down, but I also know I don’t like to be questioned or doubted, and… when I get defensive, I get awkward, and these jurors, they’re not medical professionals and this medical jargon — it’s going to go right over their heads, right, and the only thing that’s going to resonate with them is this man is dead and his family is grieving, and there’s this doctor on the stand, and he’s saying he did everything right. Okay, finn — no. No. What — what if I would have pushed harder for him to get those tests, made him, demanded that he get that colonoscopy? Would muldoon still be alive? No one can answer that question.

[ Sighs ] But what I can tell you is, all we can do as medical professionals is our best, and you did that. I know that. So… so… …we need to teach you how to project that inward kindness outward so the jury will believe you and maybe even like you. Is that even possible? I think… yeah, we got our work cut out for us. I know that you were originally against it when I offered to be your surrogate, and admittedly, I-I hadn’t really thought it through, not fully. Maybe there was a part of me that just wanted to swoop in and be the hero. No, no, kristina, when I said that before, that was my pain talking. I was disappointed and bitter that you could carry a child and I couldn’t, but that was not fair and I’m so sorry. I’m sorry. Molls, I’m sorry that you’re going through this at all, and I’m sorry that you lost your first baby. It isn’t your job to fix it for us. I-I don’t think that it is. Not at all. That’s not the way I see it. Bringing your child into this world is something that I can and truly want to give you, not just for you, but for this baby who is going to be in a family with the most incredible parents. You’re absolutely positive? 100%. No backsies. No backsies.

[ Laughs ] Now I know you mean business. Yeah, I do. Okay. I’ll have to talk to tj about it. We have to be together on this. Of course.
