Sally: Oh, nick. Oh, finally.

Chloe: So, I’ve put together a set of cad drawings from our sketches. I’ve got fabric swatches, paint chips. You know, I just think it’s really important to get lily and devon’s eyes on this asap.

Sally: Chloe–

Chloe: So we can get a sense of what they’re– I know what you’re going to say. That they hired us to define their new style for chancellor-winters, but I just think it’s really smart to involve them early on because then we can help guide them to what we are envisioning. What? What’s wrong?

Nick: I want extra guards stationed here and regular checks of the grounds. You see anything suspicious, you let me know. All right. Thanks. All right. Security’s beefed up just in case cameron tries to do something stupid, like come back to genoa city.

Sharon: Thank you.

Nick: I’ll let my dad know too.

Sharon: Well, that makes me feel better, but I don’t– I don’t wanna overreact.

Nick: Sharon, when cameron kirsten’s involved, there’s no such thing as overreacting.

Sharon: I can’t help thinking about those creepy packages. Now, I’m convinced that was blood that we saw on the champagne bottle. And he is trying to send a message with that motel matchbook.

Nick: Try not to let him get in your head.

Sharon: How could I not? They were hand delivered.

Nick: He could have paid someone to do that.

Sharon: Or it could mean cameron’s already here.

Cameron: You okay?

Tucker: It was. I’m telling you, man, he is a prodigy. And, uh, if our fake engagement becomes in a legit wedding, then I think he– he needs a better gig than ring bearer. He should be, uh, you know, the headliner of the band.

Sally: What if it’s everything?

Chloe: No, no. It’s okay. We’ve got this.

Sally: I know, but it’s just when we landed our first client and there is so much to do. I– if we do not impress chancellor-winters, our company is dead in the water. So, I really hate to put this on you, but I’m really gonna need you to take the lead on this for now.

Chloe: Of course. We’re gonna figure this out. Okay? I’ll– I’ll bring the swatches and the paint chips to you. You’ll sign off on all the samples and, you know, you’ll still be involved. Just– just from here.

Sally: I mean, it’s too much.

Chloe: It’s fine. It’s fine, okay? I– I’ll drive everything. I’ll do the in-person meetings until you get the all clear. I just want you to take care of yourself. I don’t want you to risk anything, okay? And I promise, you can trust me to keep this job on track.

Sally: I’m just terrified.

Faith: I’m sorry. Have we met?

Cameron: No, I– I– I did some work with your dad and newman enterprises years ago. And your mom and I, well, we– we go way back. I’m sorry. I’m being rude. I’m– I’m ck. Nice to meet you.

Faith: You too.

Cameron: So, your mom and dad are good?

Faith: Yep. They’re doing great.

Cameron: That’s great. That’s great. Please give ’em my best. Hey, can you do me a favor? I’m– I’m terrible at directions and my phone is dead. So, uh, I have to do this the old fashioned way. Can you point me to that address?

Tucker: Hold on a second. Wait, wait.

Ashley: Why?

Tucker: Well–

Ashley: She’s clearly in violation of her bail restrictions.

Tucker: No, I understand. It’s very suspicious. But in my experience, it’s best to collect all the facts before you–

Ashley: Okay. All the facts are that she’s supposed to be under house arrest. So what else do we need to know?

Tucker: Just humor me a second and let’s consider the consequences of calling the cops.

Ashley: I call the cops. They come, they take her away, and then we don’t have to live with her under the same roof anymore.

Tucker: Okay. The devil’s advocate here. Will diane really be that foolish and brazen?

Ashley: Yes. She faked her death and disappeared for years. So, yes.

Tucker: Why?

Ashley: I don’t know. Maybe she’s going stir crazy. She couldn’t take it anymore. She knows jack will do anything and everything she wants. She’s a very resourceful person. She could have figured out a way to get rid of her ankle monitor and she wouldn’t get caught.

Tucker: Why don’t we go and see what she has to say for herself? Put the screws to her a little bit before we call the cops.

Ashley: Fine. What the hell are you doing here?

Diane: Oh, I imagine the same thing you are. I’m here to enjoy a good meal.

Tucker: I see you took my advice and figured out how to remove the ankle bracelet. Of course, in my scenario, you were meant to disappear.

Ashley: I told you. She thinks she can get away with anything.

Diane: Oh, no. You caught me. What am I gonna do now?

Ashley: Go back to jail where you belong.

Diane: Are you seriously calling the police? Go ahead.

Jack: Don’t even think about it. Overactive bladder? I’ve been there.

Ashley: What the hell is going on? Have you lost your mind?

Jack: You’re the one who’s lost control, ashley. Let it go.

Diane: Oh, jack, you’re spoiling my fun. I wanted to see ashley trying to explain her outrage when the police arrived.

Tucker: So, what’s the joke?

Jack: Christine has dropped all charges. Diane is a free woman.

Ashley: Oh, okay. So what technicality did michael dig up to get you off?

Diane: No technicality. I’ve been innocent all along.

Tucker: The only way they would let you free is if phyllis’s real killer confessed.

Jack: There was no killer.

Diane: Phyllis is alive.

[ Tucker chuckling ]

Nick: Yeah, it was hand delivered, sharon, but I don’t think even cameron’s bold enough to knock on your door, leave that cigar box with all of us inside here.

Sharon: I wish I could agree, but I remember all too well what that monster is capable of. He’s not easily intimidated, nick.

[ Door clicking open ] Oh, my god, that must be faith. Listen, I don’t wanna alarm her unless we know for sure that there is something to worry about.

Nick: Hey.

Faith: Well, I toured all of my regular spots and I can report that not much has changed in genoa city since I’ve been at college.

Sharon: Well, that’s reassuring.

Faith: I’m gonna go grab a snack. Oh, I ran into an old friend of yours. Like, literally nearly knocked the poor guy over. [ Chuckles ]

Nick: What old friend?

Faith: He recognized me somehow, but I had never met him. Uh, he goes by his initials. C something maybe.

Sharon: Ck?

Faith: Yeah, that’s it. Nice guy.

Chloe: Okay. Well, this is a no stress zone for you starting now.

[ Sally sighing ]

[ Sally scoffing ]

Sally: Thank you.

Chloe: And I know what you’re going through. You know, when I was pregnant the first time with delia, um, I fell off a ladder and I thought I was gonna lose her. And then after we got through all of that… um, my little angel decided to come into this world during a snowstorm so far away from any hospital.

Sally: What’d you do?

Chloe: I did what any mom to be does in a crisis. I fought with everything I had to keep her safe. I did. I did that time. At least I did.

Sally: Look, I’m so sorry. I did not mean to bring up any hard memories. I know that you were an amazing mom to her.

Chloe: And I know that you have the same fight in you. So, you just need to grab onto that inner superhero because I promise you that will not be the only crisis you ever deal with in your little girl’s life.

Sally: I really appreciate your support.

Chloe: You know, I gotta say, I was a little surprised that you called adam instead of nick.

Sally: I did call nick, but he didn’t answer. So i– I just tried adam and he came right away.

Chloe: Well, that doesn’t sound like nick.

Sally: Yeah. No, not at all. And I still haven’t heard from him, so I’m really hoping that everything’s okay.

[ Knocking on door ]

Chloe: Ah. Well, look at that. Right on cue. I’m sure that’s him. Oh.

Adam: I, um, I had to come back. (Wheezing)

Sally: I said I was okay.

Adam: Well, if you’re going to stay put, you’re gonna need some snacks and not any old kind. I, uh, checked in with a doctor friend who recommended salt-free and healthy options and bottled water.

Sally: That’s considerate.

Adam: Not really. It was just an excuse to check back in on you, but I see you are in good hands. How is she doing?

Sally: Well, she’s right here and doing fine.

Chloe: And under strict orders from me. Do not stress and not think about work because I’ve got us covered. Which reminds me, I need to get to that meeting at the office furniture showroom. Um, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but, um, I’m happy that you’re here so I can pass the baton.

Adam: Uh, baton accepted.

Chloe: And I heard you stepped up today. So, um, you know, I’m– I’m glad that you’re doing the right thing.

Adam: I’m– I’m glad sally felt that way.

Chloe: Okay. Um, listen, do not stress out. You call me if you need anything and that is an order.

Sally: Thank you.

Adam: Well, you might change your mind once you try the, uh, salt free options.

Sally: I mean, for coming back.

Sharon: Here. Is this him?

Faith: That’s him. But this article says that he was arrested. What’s going on and why did you call chance when I mentioned his name?

Nick: That man is extremely dangerous, faith.

Sharon: If you see him again, you steer clear. You understand me?

Nick: And then you call us immediately and then chance.

Faith: Now, you’re freaking me out.

[ Knocking on door ]

Nick: Hey, thanks for getting here so quickly.

Chance: Yeah, I got your message. Faith saw this guy? Oh, hey. You wanna tell me exactly what happened?

Sharon: Yeah. Go ahead, sweetheart.

Faith: It was nothing really. It seemed like no big deal. I was texting and walking and bumped into him. We laughed about it. He recognized me, which I guess was weird since we’ve never met.

Chance: Anything else? Or was that it?

Faith: He asked how my mom and dad were. Then he needed directions. Uh, said his phone had died. So, I looked up the address for him and told him how to get there. Some bar. Hold on.

Chance: All right, give me a second. Hey, it’s chancellor. I need you to send an officer over to a bar on the south side of town. I’m gonna text you over a name, address, and a picture of this guy we’re looking for. I think he might be there. All right, thank you.

Sharon: That’s near the motel where–

Nick: There’s no way he’s there. He’s just sending another one of his sick messages.

Sharon: Okay. Well, this time, he used our daughter to do it.

Chance: We’ve gotta follow up on this lead. See if he was there and see if he talked to anybody. It’s the only thing we have to go on right now.

Faith: Will someone please tell me what’s going on?

Jack: And chance was able to prove daniel’s story that he saw phyllis and that she was alive.

Diane: They found a program from phyllis’s memorial at the motel.

Jack: And they pulled dna and fingerprint evidence from it to prove that phyllis was alive after her own memorial.

Diane: Which means that I didn’t kill phyllis the night of the gala, which I’ve been telling everyone all along.

Ashley: Why are you looking at me like that?

Diane: Well, because if I was someone who thought the worst of everyone, like you do, I might think that this was a plan hatched by the coven.

Ashley: The what?

Diane: The coven. You, nikki and phyllis have been out to get me since I came back to town.

Ashley: Okay.

Diane: I wouldn’t have put it past the three of you to try to frame me for phyllis’s murder.

Ashley: Moving on, it’s– it’s a wonderful thing that phyllis is alive. I mean, for daniel, for summer. It’s a miracle, really.

Diane: Yeah. It is. Well, of course, I hate that summer has been thinking the worst of me too when it was her mother that was clearly in on this with jeremy stark. She admitted as much to her son.

Ashley: Right. Well, maybe you can explain why phyllis would be driven to do such a thing since you did the same thing yourself.

Jack: Enough, you have been hurling accusations at her for weeks now. All of it has been proven false. You can’t cut her a break?

Tucker: You know, you really gotta hand it to phyllis. I mean, it was almost the perfect revenge play.

Jack: Oh, phyllis is definitely going to be punished. She’s not getting away with this.

Diane: No, but right now, it’s about celebrating. Would you care to join us for some champagne?

Ashley: No, thank you.

Diane: Oh, well, we can toast at home.

Ashley: This day has just gotten a lot worse.

Tucker: Yeah. Let’s look on the bright side.

Ashley: What bright side?

Tucker: We’re not living with a murderer.

Ashley: Yeah. The way I see it though, this nightmare with diane has just begun. Febreze!

Announcer: The young and the restless will continue.

Sharon: I’m not trying to hide anything from you.

Faith: Okay. Then tell me who ck is.

Sharon: He is a painful part of my past. It’s very difficult to talk about.

Faith: You’re obviously upset and I don’t wanna make you feel worse, but you guys have me worried.

Nick: I’ll tell you what. Let’s give your mom some time. Can you please, for now, just accept the fact that ck is a very dangerous person, and he needs to be avoided at all costs?

Faith: Of course. But I hope that you talk to me about it at some point. I’m not a kid anymore.

[ Footsteps approaching ]

Chance: Okay, I just got a confirmation that cameron is not at the bar. And according to the bartender, he hasn’t been there all day.

Sharon: Then nick was right. It was just another tactic to get to me and it worked.

Nick: Do you have enough now? Clearly, this run-in with our daughter was planned. He’s not hiding out. He is taunting sharon. Can you at least find out where he’s staying?

Chance: Nick. You wanna put this guy away for good, right? Then, we have to play this by the book. I do not have enough to arrest him. I don’t even have enough to question the guy. So, I’m gonna get some units to canvas the hotels and motels in the area. Let’s get some eyes on him, and we’ll go from there.

Nick: All right. I’m gonna get my dad’s security team on this toO. Oh, when did I miss this?

Sharon: What is it?

Nick: Sally’s trying to get ahold of me.

Sharon: Oh, well, I hope everything is okay.

Nick: Hey, it’s, uh– it’s me. Sorry I missed your call. Um, call me back, okay? All right, bye. Went to voicemail.

Sharon: All right, well, maybe, you should go. Uh, we’re fine here, and you have alerted ranch security, chance is here.

Nick: Okay. Okay, I will come back by here after I check in with her, okay?

[ Door clicks closed ]

Ashley: I mean, obviously, I’m thrilled that phyllis is alive. That goes without saying. But I’m worried that it’s gonna make diane think that she’s invincible.

Tucker: She’s not wasting any time rubbing our noses in it, that’s for sure.

Ashley: I was worried about this from the very beginning, because she’s gonna convince jack that she deserves some kind of a reward for everything that she’s gone through.

Tucker: Yeah, and jack is doubling down on his defense of her obviously.

Ashley: Yes, and… she’s gonna use that to get her claws into jabot. I’ve gotta protect my family.

Tucker: How do you plan to do that?

Ashley: You. Yeah, you. If I’m gonna protect my family right from her greedy hands, I need a support system. I need an ally and a partner.

Tucker: Uh-oh. [ Laughs ]

Ashley: What?

Tucker: I can just see that brilliant brain of yours working away.

Ashley: Mm, I gotta do something that just stops diane in her tracks before she marries my brother and has even more power.

Adam: Our little girl’s gonna be strong, fierce. From what I know about the spectra women, uh, our little girl already has a lot going on for her. And my mother, hope, she– she had a lot of strength too. Hardy farm stock, as they used to say in kansas.

Sally: [ Laughs ] I’m sorry. I just still find it hard to believe that you grew up on a farm.

Adam: Says the carnival gypsy?

Sally: Hey, my background makes a lot of sense for who I am. I’m tough, adventurous, itinerant. So, I’m really trying to change that, ’cause I want stability for this child. But you on the other hand, nothing about adam newman says, I grew up shoveling manure.

[ Adam laughing ]

Adam: Hey, I will have you know that I once birthed a calf.

Sally: Get out.

Adam: I will spare you the details, but just suffice it to say I would be a rock in the delivery room.

Sally: Look, I know you’re busy at mccall, so I– I don’t wanna keep you.

Adam: No, I mean… nothing is more important than being here with you.

[ Knocking on the door ]

Nick: Sally, it’s nick. I got your messages.

[ Adam clears throat ] Adam? What’s going on? What happened?

Sally: Thank you for everything. It meant a lot.

Adam: Take care of her.

Nick: Yeah. Always. What’s going on?

Sally: I had a scare. I just felt a little dizzy. Some double vision. Anyway, long story short, the doctor says that I’m at risk for preeclampsia.

[ Nick sighing ] And has ordered me to take it easy.

Nick: I’m so sorry, I– I got your messages. I tried to call back, it went straight to voicemail. I took a chance that you’d be here.

Sally: Yeah. Chloe turned off my phone so I could rest. I’m just really glad you’re here.

Nick: Well, I guess, I owe adam a big thank you.

Sally: He was really great, to be honest.

[ Sally sighing ] And I admit, it was scary. I’m still worried.

Nick: Yeah, well, you just– you gotta do what your doctor said. Sally, you gotta take it easy.

Sally: Yeah, no, I’m– I’m following all the orders, I– chloe put this blanket on me. Adam got me some snacks. I am– I’m doing all the right things.

[ Nick chuckles softly ]

Nick: I feel awful. It’s awful that I wasn’t here for you.

Sally: Yeah, I admit, I was starting to worry. Why did it take you so long to get my messages? You’re normally, really responsive. Is everything okay?

Jack: To you. To your indomitable spirits, to your courage to keep going, to keep fighting when others would’ve given up.

Diane: To you. To the man who gave me that courage. Who kept me going. To the man that I will be forever grateful to and for.

Ashley: Oh, god, I just find them both so nauseating. It just makes me wanna focus that much harder on my plan.

Tucker: Do you care to fill me in?

Ashley: I think that our fake engagement, we could actually use it to our benefit ’cause it’s the perfect distraction to make a move against diane.

Tucker: Uh-huh. What move is that?

Ashley: Okay, well, I– I know that it was billy who told jack, right? I know. But that’s okay, I figured he would, and I can work around him, right? ‘Cause I’ve already reached out to the board, so I know what we can do.

Tucker: Yeah, you– you keep saying “we,” but you’ve only mentioned things you’re doing.

Ashley: I want you to come work with me at jabot.

[ Tucker laughs ] What? Strike the numbers.

Tucker: Oh, honey. I love how your mind works, you know that, but… I think you should consider the possibility that you are taking this whole thing way too seriously and putting way too much energy into it. You are talking about the possibility of alienating both of your brothers. Where’s the rest of the family gonna fall if you– if you draw these battle lines?

Ashley: Well, I have to make them realize that the cost is gonna be huge if we let diane get what she wants.

Tucker: Mm-hmm. What if… you just let jack and diane have their happiness?

Ashley: No. Absolutely not. That would give– that would give diane a stronghold at jabot.

Tucker: What if you let her?

Ashley: Why would I do that?

Tucker: Because you don’t need jabot. Hell, you don’t even need the abbott family, for that matter. You know, you and i could build something that would tower over jabot.

Chelsea: Hey. I’m glad I ran into you. Um, I need to talk to you about connor.

Adam: Um, is– there’s something wrong?

Chelsea: Well, that’s what has me concerned. Have you noticed he’s been on edge lately?

[ Adam clears throat ] I feel like his moods are all over the place.

Adam: Uh, it’s probably– it’s just a phase.

Chelsea: Well, do you think it’s like a pre-teen thing or something we should be concerned about? I just hope he goes back to his normal self before the baby’s born, adam, because it’s gonna be a huge adjustment for him.

Chelsea: Excuse me? Forget it, adam. Forget I said anything.

But I get why it might be confusing for connor. I mean, maybe, that’s what’s going on with him. I know it’s not, uh, an ideal way to bring a baby into a family.

Chelsea: Well, you can’t beat yourself up because of that. From where I’m standing, you’re doing everything you can to support sally, while also not getting into it with nick.

Adam: Mm-hmm.

Chelsea: I mean… what else can you do?

Adam: Well, I’m supposed to be focused on work. Fixing this wreck of a company that victor entrusted me to. And I– I just– I can’t think about mccall at all. All I can think about is sally and the baby.

Nick: It’s nothing to worry about. I was just dealing with some family stuff.

Sally: Well, baby girl and i are a part of that family now, right?

Nick: Of course, you are.

Sally: So tell me.

Nick: It’s just a boring newman business. And you’re not supposed to have any negative thoughts in your head, just positive stuff. So, how about if I put some of those in instead?

Sally: What did you have in mind?

Nick: Come on.

Sally: I am supposed to keep my heart rate down.

Nick: I know. I’m just gonna activate my superhuman spooning skills.

[ Sally chuckling ]

Sally: You are brilliant at making me feel like everything’s gonna be okay.

Nick: Good. I promise you it is. Come on.

[ Sally sighing ]

Tucker: Just think of it. You making all the sound business decisions, laying waste to our competitors. We’d be unstoppable.

Ashley: You make it sound a little enticing.

Tucker: What’s stopping us?

Ashley: Me. Clearly, I’m not as enlightened as you are. I just don’t want diane to win, sorry.

Tucker: Terrible reason.

Ashley: It’s a good reason.

Tucker: Oh, no, no. Look, I got all this cash from the sale of mccall. You can have jack buy you out at jabot. Huh? Think of what we could do. You could pursue all those innovations you dreamed of. No board, no ceo to deal with.

Ashley: Very sexy.

Tucker: Yeah?

Ashley: I’m not sure if this is a pitch or a seduction.

Tucker: Maybe, it’s both, baby.

[ Ashley chuckling ] No, but really. Not only would it be the best business decision you’ve ever made, but it would be a ball. Am I wrong? You and me in sync? We forget all about what’s her name over there?

Ashley: Hm. What’s her name? Maybe, um– maybe, you should, uh, continue to make your case someplace a little bit more private.

Tucker: Now, you see, that’s the kind of million dollar idea that I’m talking about.

Ashley: Okay.

Jack: Okay, why do I get the feeling those two are up to something?

Diane: Oh, who cares? I’m having too much fun with you to let them spoil my mood. In fact… [ Clicks tongue ] Let’s keep the celebration going.

Jack: Oh, I like this idea. So, what’s next?

Diane: Hm.

Chance: Are you sure you’re okay?

Sharon: Um, we’ll be fine. You need to get to work.

Chance: All right, well, I spoke with ranch security. They’re on top of it. I checked all the windows and the back doors. Everything’s sealed shut. I want you to lock this door after I leave and just stay on high alert, okay? And call me if you need anything.

Sharon: We will. Thank you.

[ Sharon sighing ] Okay. I know you have questions.

Faith: A few, but if you’re not ready to talk about it…

Sharon: No. You deserve to know what we’re dealing with. I’ll tell you exactly who this monster is.

Cameron: That depends. See, I live my life the way I do business. A good deal is where everybody gets something… and everybody gives up something. The night that we met in the motel, I thought we were gonna hook it up, but, uh, well, then, you decided to hit me over the head with that bottle.

Sharon: You were trying to rape me.

Cameron: You know what? I– I– I still– I can’t believe how strong you were. The way you could drag me down all those steps. I didn’t think a little girl like you could do that, huh?

Sharon: I thought you were dead.

Cameron: Yeah. Obviously. When I came to a couple hours later behind that dumpster, covered in snow, frozen… I don’t think I have ever been angrier in my life.

Sharon: And that’s when you decided to destroy me.

Cameron: What are you talking about, destroy you? Honey, you’re my dream girl. You just weren’t being that cooperative. So, I need to talk to gabe about frank’s demise. All right. You know what? That’s all in our past. You are here now. I’m here. We’re together. And I love you.

[ Cameron sighing ]

Kyle: It looks like I’ve interrupted something. What are you two talking about?

Summer: Kyle, chance was just here. He told us the news that, um, he found proof that our mom is alive.

Daniel: No more doubts. No more questions. It’s undeniable. Chance is absolutely sure.

Summer: That means that the charges against diane are gonna be dropped. You believed that your mom was innocent this whole time. You were right. I’m sorry that I blamed her for a murder that didn’t even happen.

Kyle: You were racked with grief. I know how hard it is to face a pain like that.

Summer: And you know exactly what it feels like to find out that it was all lie.

Kyle: Of course, I do.

Summer: I’m so sorry. I hope that you can forgive me.

Kyle: Of course, I can. You were in pain and needed answers. All the clues pointed to my mom because that’s what stark wanted. I’m just glad he can never hurt anyone ever again.

Summer: So hasst that happened yet? Has she been formally released?

Kyle: It’s true. My mom is free.

Lucy: Thanks for letting me hang out at your offices today.

Lily: Of course.

Lucy: Those coders were so cool. I mean, it’s a totally different crore than my mom’s office friends.

Lily: Yeah. I know. Well, of course. And they have amazing fashion sense. They definitely keep our offices on trend.

Lucy: I didn’t see a single blue suit, which is basically my mom’s entire office uniform.

Lily: Well, I mean, lawyers are really cool too, in their own way.

Lucy: Um… lily…

Lily: Yeah? Lucy, whatever it is, I promise you can ask me.

Lucy: Is it true that you and my dad were married when you guys were basically kids?

[ Sally sighing ]

[ Sally panting ]

Sally: What is going on? Oh, did you feel that too?

Faith: Mariah, you don’t have to stay to help clean up. I’ve got this.

Mariah: Oh, no, you– you just got home. You can go unpack or hang out with dorm cat.

Faith: His name is borgnine, as you know. And he’s probably still sleeping. So, I’m on cleanup duty. And you know just how much I love washing dirty dishes.

Mariah: I know that. So, I’m gonna let you wash and I will dry.

Mariah: Well, I gave you a chance to escape, but you sort of blew it, so.

Nick: I mean, will you look at these pictures? The greatest collection of women who’ve ever been assembled. The photographer’s obviously very talented. He crushed it.

Faith: Poor dad. You can’t actually take credit for all of our fabulousness. All you did was take the picture.

Nick: That’s a skill, faith. I mean, you can’t just aim and shoot, all right? The framing, the lighting, it’s all perfect. I mean, ask your mom. She’s impressed.

Faith: Mom?

Sharon: Huh? Yeah. Uh, you’re all wonderful and– and talented.

Mariah: Uh, sort of out of nowhere, but I will take it.

Faith: What’s going on? What’s got you so distracted? Ma ma ma ma

[Clears throut]

Nick: You did a great job covering. What was in the box that was delivered?

Sharon: Okay.

Nick: This is the motel where cameron attacked you. The son of a bitch has a twisted sense of humor.

Sharon: Makes me sick to my stomach to think about it. But, he’s in prison, right?

Nick: I mean, he certainly should be. There’s no way this lunatic should be out in the streets ever again.

Sharon: Cameron is up to something. Sending me all of these little packages and gifts. What can he possibly want? What message is he trying to send?

[ Door knocking ]

Chance: Hey.

Nick: Hey.

Chance: I got news about kirsten. It’s not great.

Cameron: Miss? Hey, I– I don’t mean to bother you, but, um, are you okay?

Sally: Yeah, I’m– I’m fine. I just– I had a little double vision. It’s just making me dizzy.

Cameron: Yeah. Well, look in– in your condition that’s– that’s nothing to mess around with, uh. Can I– can I call somebody for you?

Daniel: Well, you must be relieved, kyle. Your mom’s been vindicated. What our mother put you and the rest of your family through was brutal. Still can’t believe she would do such a thing.

Summer: But it wasn’t mom’s fault. You know, it was stark. He was the one that lured her in, manipulated her, threatened to kill her when she didn’t do what he wanted. I mean, that’s what she told you, right?

Daniel: Right. And, you know, I’m sure stark didn’t expect to wind up dead.

Summer: If stark had it his way, then mom would be the one that was dead right now. Both mom and diane are stark’s victim.

Daniel: Exactly. Just let your mom know how happy I am that this part of the nightmare is over for her and I’m sorry that I couldn’t do something to clear her sooner.

Kyle: I’ll certainly pass along your message. And we’ll always owe you a debt of gratitude for coming forward after hearing about phyllis.

Daniel: It was the only right thing to do.

Kyle: Even so, you could have kept phyllis’s secret. I know you wanted to protect her at all costs, but you didn’T. You came forward and set my mom free.

Daniel: Well, I can never stay quiet when someone’s entire future is at stake. I wouldn’t have been able to live with myself otherwise.

Kyle: I– I realize the emotions are complicated for both of you, but the good news is your mother is alive. It’s like a miracle you secretly hope for, but never out loud. I get it. And when phyllis comes forward and explains why she did what she did, christine, the police, they’ll listen. They’ll try to be fair. I know you’re worried about the repercussions, but phyllis is tough as hell. She’ll get through it.

Summer: There shouldn’t be any repercussions. Anything criminal my mom did was in self-defense. She’s not a murderer. She’s just not. The D.A. Is gonna see that. She has to. (Vo) nature valley is committed to protecting our national parks.

Lily: Um, who told you that your dad and I were married?

Lucy: So, it’s true.

Lily: Well, it was a very long time ago.

Lucy: Wow. That’s a yes.

Lily: Okay. Have you talked to your dad about this?

Lucy: No, not– not yet. But– but I can if you’re not comfortable talking about it. I mean, dad will tell me the truth no matter what, even if it’s that awful.

Lily: Well, no, no, no, no. It– it wasn’t awful. I mean, that’s definitely an overstatement.

Lucy: How old were you guys?

Lily: Uh, we were not old enough to be married, that’s for sure.

Lucy: This is crazy. I mean, you’re literally my dad’s ex-wife and you guys just act like your old friends.

Lily: Okay, listen. I do not condone what we did at such a young age. I do not.

Lucy: Okay. Okay. I get it. I won’t run off and marry some kid from homeroom. Tell me everything.

Lily: Oh, gosh. Um…

[ Laughs ] Well, we were married for almost a year, but you know, we were just way too young and, you know, couldn’t handle the responsibility that came our way.

Lucy: I mean, you guys said vows and there– there must have been a marriage license and then a divorce? I mean, just think about all the teasing I can get off of my dad. And wait, doesn’t that make you guys each other’s first loves? Wow. How romantic is that? Now you guys are together again. I mean, that’s a book I’d totally read.

Lily: Okay, hold on.

Lucy: Wait. And if my dad ever tells me that I’m too young to know what love is, I can just point at you guys. I mean, star crossed lovers destined to finally be together.

Lily: Okay, listen.

[ Lily laughing ] We were way too young to handle what was coming our way, okay? The only thing we were destined for was failure. That’s it.

Lucy: Weren’t you guys in love?

Lily: Of course. Yeah, we were very much in love and–

Lucy: Good. Then, you can–

Daniel: Hi.

Lily: Hi.

Daniel: These two little rays of sunshine. What did I miss?

Lucy and lily: Nothing.

[ Lily laughing ]

Sharon: I’m sick to my stomach already.

Nick: What’d you find out?

Chance: So, cameron kirsten was released after serving his original sentence.

Sharon: Oh, no.

Chance: And then he relocated to los angeles.

Sharon: Is he still in L.A.?

Chance: Well, he was arrested there for assaulting his girlfriend.

Nick: That’s his thing. This coward, he goes after women.

Sharon: Same thing he did to me.

Chance: Look at this.

Sharon: That’s his girlfriend?

Chance: Yeah. She looks just like you. I doubt that’s a coincidence.

Nick: Well, do you know where he is now?

Chance: No. He was released six months ago and his whereabouts are unknown.

Nick: Doesn’t he have like a parole officer keeping tabs on him or something?

Chance: I read the report and I’ll admit, it’s kinda sketchy. So, what’s the deal with this guy? I mean, clearly he’s dangerous and outta control. Why don’t you fill me in on what cameron kirsten is capable of?

Cameron: Look, miss, I– I– I don’t wanna crowd you or disturb you or anything like that, but I don’t feel right just leaving you here like this. Are you sure you don’t need medical attention?

Sally: Yeah, I’m– I’m okay. Really. There’s someone else I can call.

[ Sally sighing ]

Adam: Sally?

Sally: Adam, I– I really hate to do this, but can you come get me?

Adam: Um, a– absolutely. What– what’s wrong?

Sally: I– I think I should go see my ob.

Adam: Okay. Um, I’m on my way. Where are you?

Sally: I’m in the park.

Adam: Okay. I– I’ll be there soon and we can get you both looked at, okay? Sally?

Sally: Yeah.

Adam: It’s gonna be okay.

Sally: Right. Yeah. Yeah. It’s– it’s probably nothing.

Adam: Just sit tight.

Sharon: I didn’t want nick to find out what cameron had done to me. I was just going through so much at the time. So, I kept quiet and I never went to the police. I just hid out in denver and waited for my wounds to heal. It was a really hard time in my life. I just wanted to forget that it had ever happened, but I didn’t have a choice when cameron showed up in genoa city. You have to realize that when you saw me in denver, I was a different person.

Cameron: Oh, oh yeah? When– when exactly was that? When you were sitting on that bar stool pretty as a picture slamming tequila shots?

Sharon: I was in a very down, a very down time. I was running away from my own life.

Cameron: But now you’re back.

Sharon: And, um, in a way, you– you did me a favor. Beating me to a pulp like that I realized that I needed my family back.

Cameron: I never beat you. We had a lovely time together.

Sharon: All right. You– you– you believe whatever you wanna believe. I know what my face looked like after you were finished with it.

Nick: If I had known what that bastard had done to you.

Sharon: I was too ashamed. I didn’t want you to know. And cameron exploited that. He blackmailed me into meeting him one night. Made my skin crawl every moment that I was with him. But I just, I still kept telling myself that I can handle this myself. I can handle him. Cameron, I’m begging you. Okay? I’m married. I– I have children. Will you please, please just leave me alone.

Cameron: You were married and you had children when I met you in denver, and you still slept with me.

Sharon: No, no. I– I told you why that happened. Look, I– I was drunk. I– I was horribly depressed and my life was a total disaster.

Cameron: You’re the sexiest woman I’ve ever been with.

Sharon: I was out of my mind, damn it! Do you honestly think that if I had known what I was doing, if I had known what kind of man you are, I would let you take me back to that hotel room?

Cameron: You think I’m a monster? Am I a monster? Look, I don’t know why it happened that way in denver, but I know this. It doesn’t have to be that way this time.

Sharon: Oh, meaning this time you won’t beat me up. Now, there’s an offer I can’t refuse.

Sharon: I would rather die.

[ Grunting ] Ah, you bitch!

Sharon: I thought he was dead. I thought that I killed him. I hid his body. I tried to just move on with my life. I thought that the nightmare was over, but it was only just the beginning.

Adam: Here you are. I’m glad that you called me.

Sally: Oh, thank you for coming.

Adam: Of course. Of course. You can call me anytime. Always. Um, do you think that you’re okay to walk? The car’s just right over there.

Sally: I’m– I’m so sorry for interrupting your day. Really. I feel so silly. I just, I had double vision and it passed after I sat down for a little bit, so.

Adam: Well, that’s good, but I still think that we should go to the doctor anyway. I don’t think it would hurt to get you checked out, okay?

Sally: Yeah, no, you’re probably right.

[ Sally panting ]

Adam: What is it? Did you forget something?

Sally: No. There was a guy that was really helpful and he wouldn’t leave until I was okay. I don’t know. I was gonna thank him, but I guess he’s gone.

Adam: Well, I’m glad that somebody was here for you, but come on. I really wanna get you outta here and I wanna get you to the doctor.

Lucy: Dad, your tech team is on fire. The things they were creating were– were amazing. I mean, I just can’t wait to see the animation when it’s all finished.

Daniel: I’m glad you were so impressed.

Lucy: Princess louisa is gonna slay.

Lily: [ Laughing ] I mean, she was so enthralled she didn’t wanna leave.

Daniel: Oh, sounds like we have a hit in the making.

Lucy: And to think, I inspired it all.

Daniel: Best muse ever. Hey, uh, listen. Best muse ever, why don’t you head over to the bar and order some of that pie that you’re so obsessed with.

Lucy: At the bar?

Daniel: Yes, at the bar.

Lucy: And then I assume I’m supposed to eat it there too, so that you two can talk?

[ Lily laughing ]

Daniel: Well, that’s a great idea.

Lucy: Subtle. Seriously.

Daniel: Thank you. I try.

Lily and daniel: I have news.

Lily: Okay.

Kyle: Well, my parents aren’t upstairs.

Summer: They’re not out back or in the kitchen either.

Kyle: Guess mom couldn’t wait to get back out in the world. So much of rushing home to celebrate. I guess they were in a hurry too.

Summer: Who can blame them? You know, they must be over the moon. Nobody thought that it would happen this quickly. You too. I’m really happy for you.

Kyle: Yeah. Well, the relief is intense and I imagine it will only get better. But to be honest, I was terrified in certain moments, just like I know you are with phyllis right now, but I promise you, summer, we will find her and we will bring her home.

Summer: You’re so loving thinking about me and my worries right now.

Kyle: Hey, what else would I be thinking about? You know, we’re a team. I love you, summer. You’ve gotta know that.

Summer: I love you too. I gotta go.

Kyle: What? Where?

Summer: I, um, I’ve got an errand that I need to run and since nobody’s here to celebrate anyway–

Kyle: You’re leaving now? Just like that? Looking for a smarter way to mop?

Daniel: You go first.

Lily: No, you go first.

Daniel: Okay. Um, well, it’s huge. I mean, chance found proof that mom’s still alive and the charges against diane are being dropped.

Lily: That’s great. That’s amazing. See, wasn’t it worth it coming forward with the news about your mom? You did the right thing and it paid off.

Daniel: It does feel like a big weight’s been lifted.

Lily: So what’s gonna happen to phyllis?

Daniel: I have no idea how things are gonna turn out for her. And I highly doubt that she’s gonna suddenly come out of hiding and face the consequences for what she did.

Lily: Why do you think that?

Daniel: Oh, I don’t know. Maybe ’cause of who she is and what she’s done so far. Honestly, I’m not really sure of anything anymore. Except one thing.

Lily: What?

Daniel: Summer definitely knows where mom is, but she’s not gonna tell me. It’s driving me crazy. You know, thinking that she could be close by somewhere and I can’t see her. I can’t talk to her. I would give anything just to be able to hug her and just tell her that I love her and tell her how much I miss her.

Lily: I’m sorry. I know that’s really hard knowing that she’s close by and you can’t reach her. But listen, no matter what, you set something very important in motion and that’s diane’s freedom. So no matter what happens with your sister, you did the right thing.

Daniel: Summer would disagree, but it was a good thing. It was the right thing. I needed to be reminded of that. What was it you wanted to say?

Lily: Oh, uh, lucy knows that we used to be married.

Daniel: Who told her that?

Lily: I don’t know.

Daniel: Okay. How’d she take the news?

Lily: She was thrilled because she now feels like we’re star-crossed lovers who were destined to be together again.

Nick: If kirsten has a nerve to show his face in this town again after what he did, thinking he could weasel his way back into sharon’s life again–

Sharon: We don’t know that’s the case.

Nick: But he was obsessed with you, sharon, and he clearly still is. He’s deranged. The things he did to you, sharon thought he was dead and gone.

Chance: Meaning what?

Sharon: He made every moment a loving hell for me. He started all of that by haunting me outside of a window, somewhere in the shadows, so I could never get a moment away from my crime or my shame. It’s just all pain. Hold me tight. I was on edge, I was unraveling. And then one day, cameron showed up. He was alive and well. He said that he had been away on some island or something. He was acting as if nothing had ever happened. But this time he didn’t want me, just me. He wanted revenge. He wanted me to suffer.

Nick: He framed sharon for murder, then took her hostage.

Sharon: If it weren’t for nick, I wouldn’t be here right now telling you this. Nick, be careful. You’re gonna kill him.

Cameron: We’re both dead already.

Nick: Just like frank barrett, huh? I got the whole thing on tape. You’re going down, bitch. And this is for frank.

Pilot: Mr. Kirsten, everything all right back there?

Sharon: Nick, we are gonna parachute out of the airplane?

Nick: Babe, this may be our last chance to get out of this alive.

Sharon: God! Have you ever done this before?

Nick: Yeah. A couple times. It’s no sweat. Now listen to me. You jump out of the plane. You count to three, you pull this, all right?

Sharon: Okay.

[ Door opening ]

Cameron: You are so sure that you’ve won.

Cameron: Then, you better kill me now, slick, ’cause if I walk outta here, you are dead.

Sharon: It was supposed to be over then. He was arrested, convicted.

Nick: He still needs to be in a cell.

Chance: Well, unfortunately that’s not the case.

Nick: But you understand what we’re dealing with.

Sharon: He’s relentless, vicious, and I will never let him terrorize me like that again.

Summer: I’m sorry, kyle. I– I’ll be back soon and we’ll all toast to your mom and her freedom. I– I promise you. It’s just– I– I have some things that I need to check on at the office.

Kyle: Now? Can’t you make a few calls and handle it from here?

Summer: I won’t be long. Please understand, okay? I’m not gonna be long. Ladies…

[ Sally sighing ]

Adam: Oh, false alarm. Just like we hoped. You and the baby are gonna be just fine.

Sally: It’s not that simple.

Adam: No, I know. You’re right. But your new medication is gonna be delivered soon. The doc is taking care of things. You’re gonna take the meds, you’re gonna ease up on stress and anxiety. And like she said, smaller, more frequent meals, okay? This is very doable. We got this. Look, everything is going to be alright.

Sally: You can’t be sure of that. I’ve been so careful. I have done everything that the doctor said. I’ve been eating well, I’ve been getting sleep, I’ve been taking my vitamins. How can I be at risk for preeclampsia when I’ve been doing all the right things?

Adam: I don’t know. It’s– it’s one of life’s mysteries. But now we know, so we’re gonna follow the doctor’s orders.

Sally: Yeah, but it’s not we. It’s me.

[ Voice breaks ] And I did something wrong.

Adam: No, you did something very right. That is why you called your ob exactly when you needed to.

[ Sally sniffling ]

Sally: Chloe and i really need to dive in to this assignment for chancellor-winters. Taking it easy is not on the agenda right now.

Adam: I’m sure that chloe would love the chance to shine. I mean, this could be her chance to show everybody how brilliantly talented she is. Why not ease up on the work and let her do more of it? I know that she could dazzle chancellor-winters. She could knock their socks off if she had the chance.

Sally: You really think so?

Adam: As a friend and a colleague, let her show what she’s got. Just– just delegate. That’ll give you more time to rest.

Sally: Since when did you become so calm and reasonable?

Kyle: Summer.

Summer: Kyle. What are you doing here? Did you follow me?

Kyle: Actually, I did. But only because you left the house without your tablet. I figured you would need it since you were going to the office, but I was surprised when you didn’t go to marchetti. What are you doing here?

Chance: I’m sorry to make you go through all that again. This guy is clearly a dirt bag. I appreciate you sharing that with me.

Nick: What good is it gonna do? You can’t do anything until this guy crosses the line and he knows that. He’s smart. He hasn’t made his way to genoa city, but I’m sure it’s on the agenda.

Chance: Look, I– I get it’s frustrating, but know the guy’s on my radar now, all right? He is a known perp contacting a former victim. That’s a dangerous combination. So, here’s what I think we do. If you guys get any more mysterious messages, keep sending them to me. I’m gonna see if I can find out where he’s been since he got outta L.A.

Nick: I do not want this guy anywhere near sharon or the girls.

Chance: I understand that. One step at a time, brother, okay?

Kyle: That’s thoughtful of you, but you could have told me about it.

Summer: I know. I know. It’s just, you know, I’m feeling my way here ’cause things have been so ugly and difficult.

Kyle: Yeah, it has been for everyone. And I appreciate you doing everything you can to try to get past what’s happened. Well, I guess I better get back to the house in case my parents have gone back. Um, don’t forget your tablet for the office.

Summer: Kyle, wait. Hey, we can both go home together.

Kyle: You sure? What about the gift card and the office?

Summer: Well, I can get the gift card online and the office, it can wait ’til tomorrow. I would much rather be with you right now.

Kyle: Well, I’d much rather be with you too.

Summer: Hey, why don’t we pick up some bubbly on the way home so we can celebrate with your folks. And some balloons. Think that harrison might like that?

Kyle: Oh, champagne for the grownups, a balloon for the boy. Now, it’s a party. Come on.

Daniel: Yeah. I really wish you didn’t have to leave so soon.

Lucy: Yeah, I know. I’m meeting mom back in savannah. We have a few parties and some friends we’re meeting up with. I’ve missed them a lot.

Lily: Aw, I’m sure they miss you too. So, back to europe?

Lucy: Yeah. Mom’s got work to go back to. The blue suit gang.

Lily: Ah, the blue suit gang.

Daniel: I’m sorry, the who?

Lucy: Inside joke.

Lily: Yeah, we have those now.

Adam: Me? Calm and reasonable? Hm.

Sally: It’s pretty shocking, huh?

[ Adam laughing ]

Adam: Uh, well if I’m acting that way, it’s only ’cause I’m– I’m putting you and the baby first. And in order to do that, I have to be calm and reasonable, no matter how much it goes against my nature

Sally: And boy, does it ever. But just so you know, I– I really appreciate it.

Adam: Can I tell you something?

Sally: Sure.

Adam: I’m just glad that– that you called me instead of nick. Oh, you– you– you did call nick, didn’t you? You– you– you called him first. Okay. I mean that makes sense. I get it. Um, I’m fine with that.

Sally: Really?

Adam: Really. Really. Uh, but you need to get your rest, so, um, I can, uh, I can stay or I can go. It’s your call.

Sally: Um, actually I would really appreciate it if you stayed. Maybe just for a little longer.

Sharon: Chance will have an update on cameron’s whereabouts as soon as he can.

Nick: Not if cameron doesn’t wanna be found.

Sharon: He’s screaming for attention. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have sent me the champagne and the postcard and the cigar box. Maybe that’s all it will be. Some creepy deliveries. He’s already been in prison twice before. Is he really gonna risk a third?

Nick: Who knows what he’s gonna do? He’s incapable of rational thought. Seriously, what is to stop him from making his way back to genoa city again?

Faith: Oh, my gosh. I’m so sorry. I wasn’t paying attention to where I was going.

Jack: Have you seen your mother?

Kyle: No, but I’m sure she’s around here somewhere. House arrest humor.

Jack: Not funny. And don’t let your mother hear you joking like that.

Kyle: Have you seen summer this morning by chance?

Jack: No. Have you tried texting her?

Kyle: I was hoping I wouldn’t have to. Last night, it felt like we were reconnecting. She apologized for being distant and pulling away, but she’s left without a word to me. Again, I wish it didn’t get to me, but it does.

Jack: Well, we’re all under a pressure cooker. There’s no telling how anyone’s going to react.

Diane: Oh, the conquering hero has returned.

Jack: Well, I don’t know about hero, but I got a book.

Diane: Yes, from a bookstore. So, you spoke to people. Thank you.

Jack: When you are a free woman, I will take you anywhere you want to go.

[ Diane exhaling ]

Diane: You know what? Let’s just go now, okay? Come with me, jack. Let’s just get out of here.

Michael: There she is, my favorite district attorney. Beautiful morning, isn’t it? I assume, since you picked the restaurant, I’m gonna pay.

Christine: Always a pleasure, michael.

Michael: Oh, oh, and you’re gonna offer, um, an insulting plea bargain, I’m gonna let you know right now that my client will most assuredly decline it, in the light of the fact that her supposed victim is, um, wait for it, still alive. Boom.

Christine: No deal.

Michael: And if I’m not paying, then why are you wasting my time?

Christine: There’s been a development.

[ Summer sighing ]

Summer: Getting coffee?

Daniel: No. I’m picking up something for lucy.

Summer: Let me guess, cinnamon bun?

Daniel: How do you know that?

Summer: We’re a family of cinnamon lovers.

Daniel: Must’ve skipped me.

Summer: Like so many other traits.

Daniel: Hm?

Summer: Let’s just skip it.

Daniel: Good idea. How are you doing?

Summer: I don’t know. My mom is in exile, jack and kyle just want to drag her back so she can be arrested and diane is dying to be my bestie, so I’m pretty much living a nightmare.

Daniel: Well, I know one thing that can make all your worries just disappear.

Summer: Magic?

Daniel: Mom comes home. No matter the consequences. Just like that.

Summer: Just like that? I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

Daniel: You know, when I talked this through with lily earlier, she made a lot of good points about accepting responsibility and earning forgiveness.

Summer: You told lily? All of it? Wow. Daniel, are you seriously incapable in keeping a secret? What’s wrong with you?

Daniel: I’m sorry, because I want our mother to come home? Yes, how dare I?

Summer: She’s not home if she’s in a prison cell. That part doesn’t seem to bother you at all, does it? But, there’s still time. Our special guest hasn’t arrived yet.

Nick: I’m gonna stop by later. I’m, uh, really calling about cameron. Have you talked to chance? Does he know anything about cameron’s location?

Sharon: Not yet. But on the bright side, I haven’t received anymore creepy postcards or bloody souvenirs.

Nick: Well, let’s hope it stays that way.

Sharon: You know, maybe this is all a misunderstanding and cameron’s still in prison. The twisted gifts are the last desperate acts of a man who’s locked away from society.

Nick: But why reach out now? You know, after all this time?

Sharon: I’m trying to set this aside for today.

Nick: Yeah, I hear you, sharon, but until we hear from chance though, we have to err on the side of caution. If cameron has been released, you have to protect yourself and you can’t do that until you know for sure.

Nikki: Nicholas?

Nick: I gotta run. Call me if you learn anything, okay?

Sharon: I will. Bye.

[ Footsteps ] Hello?

[ Door opening ]

Faith: That’s how you welcome your daughter? What are you doing?

Sharon: Um, I’m cleaning up. Come in. You’re here. You’re home. You made it.

Faith: Oh, mom. It’s so good to see you.

Sharon: Let me look at you, my sweet girl.

Faith: Wait. I brought someone home from school. He didn’t have anywhere to go. I really hope you don’t mind.

Nick: We should be ready to close that deal once we get the paperwork back from legal.

Nikki: To hell with the paperwork. Cameron’s been released? Where is that monster now?

[ Cameron sighing ]

Cameron: Ah.

[ Cameron sighing ] Oh. Oh.

[ Cameron sighing ] Oh, hey there, you handsome devil. And since no one’s told you yet, welcome back to genoa city. It is been way too long. Febreze!

Nick: We don’t know if cameron’s been released. It’s just speculation at this point.

Nikki: Well, how did this issue even come up?

Nick: It’s just curiosity. Nothing more.

Nikki: Because if he has been released–

Nick: Mom, we will be all over it. I promise you, if anything changes, I will tell you.

Nikki: Please do. Because we can’t have a repeat of that situation. How’s everything else?

Nick: Well, I’m glad you asked. We need to talk.

Nikki: Okay, if it’s about the abu dhabi deal–

Nick: It’s not. It’s about vic and nate. What’s your opinion about that? Actually, let me give you mine first. It is a disaster waiting to happen.

Summer: Do you even… do you even know what loyalty is? Or– or how to keep a secret?

Daniel: Yeah, you might be used to this level of chaos and deception. I am not.

Summer: Right. Your life is perfect and righteous. I forgot.

Daniel: Yeah, I needed one person to talk to. Someone who wasn’t going to condemn me. Someone who could maybe see my side of things. That person happened to be lily and you just can’t accept it. You gotta turn it into this huge betrayal.

Summer: Fine. Have a friend, but you better hope that she is better at keeping a secret than you are. I’m so stupid. Like, why did I even tell you any of this?

Daniel: It doesn’t matter. Mom called me too. She may not have spoken on the phone, but I knew it was her. So, I would’ve figured it out eventually.

Summer: You know what, daniel? You need to be careful. Because if other people start finding out about this. I don’t know, people who… own media companies, then you are putting our mom in serious danger.

Daniel: You seem to be the one with all the knowledge. So, what do you suggest we do?

Summer: She stays hidden. Until we can prove that the situation she was in was kill or be killed. I don’t know, maybe we– we try to find the emt. Stark must’ve paid him off to do what he did.

Daniel: That’s a good point.

Summer: So, we find him, we get him to corroborate mom’s story–

Daniel: We can’t put all our trust in one guy though. Especially when his whereabouts are unknown.

Summer: Well, what else are we gonna do? We can’t just do nothing.

Daniel: What about kyle?

Summer: What about kyle?

Daniel: You know that this is upsetting him. You know he doesn’t like seeing his mother suffer like this.

Summer: Yeah, living in the lap of luxury, surrounded by her family. Poor diane.

Daniel: Mom started this. She’s the one who chose this path.

Summer: People make mistakes, daniel. Chance. Hi.

Chance: Hey.

Daniel: What’s up, man?

Chance: A lot, actually. I have some news.

Summer: How bad is it?

Chance: Depends on how you look at it.

Kyle: Uh, can I get you anything?

Diane: Yeah, yeah. A night at the movies. A day at the park. Feeding the ducks at the pond with harrison.

Jack: We will have all of that if we just show patience and a little bit of faith.

Diane: I’m trying.

Jack: I know.

Kyle: I was worried you were gonna bolt. Set off the alarm bells.

Diane: No. I’m not running anywhere. I have too much to stay for. But phyllis, on the other hand, she’s probably off on some island, sunning herself.

Jack: I know it’s frustrating, but we’re not giving up, are we?

Kyle: Someone will find her, the charges will be dropped, and we’ll all go back to our normal lives.

Diane: But time is running out.

Jack: Wait, why do you say that?

Diane: Because the longer it takes to find her, the farther away she can get. She can change her name. She can meet all the right people who will help her do all the wrong things. Trust me, trust me. I know how easy it is for a motivated person to disappear.

Kyle: They are going to find her.

Diane: I don’t know. By then, I may be rotting away in some prison cell. I think– I think we all just need to come to terms with it. It is what it is.

[ Doorbell ringing ]

Kyle: Hi. Um, come in.

Christine: Sorry to barge in like this.

Michael: But this is one of those times where you, um, don’t wanna kill the messenger.

Jack: Has something happened?

Michael: I wanna see the look on diane’s face when she gets the news.

Christine: We’re dropping the charges.

Diane: What?

Kyle: Yes! I knew it.

Jack: Some prayers are answered. Wow.

Diane: Wait. It– it’s true? This is real? It’s over?

Christine: It’s really over.

Diane: Oh, god. Kayaking is my thing.

Sharon: You– you brought a friend home?

Faith: I hope it’s not a big deal. I told him it wouldn’t be.

Sharon: Well, it’s not moses, is it?

Faith: No, but moses loves him too. I’ll be right back.

Sharon: You know, if you’d told me that you were bringing someone, I would’ve straightened up the guest room.

Faith: He can fall asleep anywhere. You’ll love him. Everybody does. Mom, borgnine. Borgnine, mom. He’s a cat.

Sharon: Yeah. Well, welcome borgnine. As long as you’re here, you’re family.

Faith: Speaking of family, when do I get to meet my new niece? I can’t wait to cuddle something that doesn’t shed on me.

Tessa: Did we hear someone asking about a niece?

Sharon: Hey! Come on in. Come in. Ah, I love having a full house. Everybody please, take a seat.

Mariah: What is going on here?

Sharon: Um, this is a cat.

Mariah: Oh.

Sharon: Who is staying in faith’s room, right now. Just a sec.

Mariah: Wow.

Faith: Is this our bundle of love?

Mariah: Oh, yes. Aria, I’m so glad you’re awake because you are about to meet somebody very important.

Tessa: See, this beautiful young woman is your aunt faith.

Faith: Hello, aria. I’m so happy to finally meet you. I have waited for this moment for such a long time. Normally, I would tell you that I’ll be the one to take you for your first tattoo or concert, but since your moms came pre-loaded with that stuff, I’m pretty sure it won’t be a problem.

Tessa: Well, that will be a long way off.

Mariah: Thank you.

[ Mariah and faith laughing ]

[ Faith sighing ]

Faith: She’s so beautiful. I love her already. Welcome to the family, aria.

Nikki: Well, it’s a shame that elena had to be hurt in this. She’s a lovely young woman. But victoria seems very happy.

Nick: Oh yeah, she was real happy about ashton too. And we know how that turned out.

Nikki: Yes. But, there was no way she could have known that he was the monster he turned out to be and anyway, we all welcomed him into the family.

Nick: No, not all of us.

Nikki: All right. The thing is, victoria does not need a chaperone.

Nick: We’ll agree to disagree on that.

Nikki: What do you have against nate? I mean, we’ve known him forever.

Nick: He was different then. Now, I don’t know. It’s like he can’t operate, so now he’s just stabbing everybody in the back. This isn’t gonna end well. Not for any of us.

Nate: Latte delivery.

Audra: You’re a mind reader. Thanks. Come in. Tell me everything I need to know.

Nate: What? About the streaming deal?

Audra: You said that you had some updated numbers that we can plug in.

Nate: Ah, yes. I meant to bring that printout, but I got distracted by something else.

Audra: Something… important?

Nate: Breakfast with victor.

Audra: What did he want? And how bad did it get?

Nate: Oh, it was going great. And then, we started talking about his daughter. And my future.

Diane: No murder charge? No– no trial? It’s all just wiped away?

Christine: The lead detective found evidence that phyllis was alive at the time of her memorial.

Michael: No body, no murder, no crime.

Diane: This is unbelievable.

Kyle: But how?

Christine: Well, chance followed up on the strand of hair that you found at the motel, which led him to finding a program from phyllis’ memorial.

Michael: Yeah. The lab examined the evidence, they found phyllis’ fingerprints as well as her dna, which proved that she was very much alive after she was declared dead.

Jack: There it is. What did I tell you? The proof we’ve been hoping for.

Kyle: You made it, mom. You’re free.

Christine: So, on behalf of the prosecutor’s office, and myself, I just, want to apologize. These were extraordinary circumstances.

Diane: So, what happens now? Now that you know that phyllis is alive? What happens to phyllis?

Chance: So, the lab ran some tests on evidence I found and they just called me back with the results.

Daniel: Is it a match to our mom?

Chance: You were right to believe your brother. Phyllis is alive. And you did see her, like you said.

Summer: So everything daniel said is true.

Daniel: I would imagine that this means D.A. Will drop the charges against diane.

Chance: Yeah. They’re telling her right now.

Summer: Oh, she must be thrilled. I’m sure you are too, right? Is this what you hoped? Diane is free. But what about my mom? What’s gonna happen to her?

Chance: Look, it’s out of my hands at this point. All I know is that when we find phyllis, she will be facing charges.

Summer: If you find her.

Chance: Oh, we’ll find her. Christine is not gonna let her get away with this. I guarantee, she’ll call a press conference and have a perp walk when we find her.

Summer: Christine has always had a grudge against my mom.

Chance: Well, after the money, the man hours, and the embarrassment, phyllis is now the poster girl for what happens to the rich and powerful when they bend the law. Christine wants her to pay.

[ Summer exhaling ] I won’t let me moderate to severe plaque psoriasis

Faith: Is it possible that aria’s even cuter when she’s asleep?

Tessa: No, that’s what I’ve been saying.

Faith: You can wake her up and do a comparison.

Tessa: Don’t you dare.

Mariah: I will kill you.

Faith: I’m kidding. I would never.

Mariah: We have house rules.

Tessa: You wake her up, you put her back.

[ Faith laughing ]

Faith: I want to know everything. Every time that mom calls, she’s always too busy to asking me about myself to tell me what I’m missing.

Sharon: Well, some things you need to hear about in person.

Mariah: I mean, you know about the gala. And phyllis.

Faith: It’s awful. Poor summer. I’ve called and texted but she never answers.

Sharon: Don’t take that personally. She needs time.

Faith: How’s dad?

Sharon: You will see for yourself soon.

Faith: And how about new motherhood to the world’s cutest baby?

Tessa: It’s the hardest job we’ll ever love.

Faith: I love that. Anything else I’m missing?

Sharon: Um, I’m just happy to have all my ladies here with me. Other than that, um, nothing unusual.

Cameron: Money doesn’t have much of a conscience.

Sharon: Yeah. Well, what about you, mr. Kirsten?

Cameron: Well, my conscience is, um, is kind of like my lawyer, my accountant. I can consult it, but, uh I don’t always follow its advice.

Sharon: If you ever, ever, mention to my husband having met me before, I will make sure that the whole world knows what a sicko you are.

Cameron: Don’t threaten me. Because you know what? I got nothing to hide. Now you, on the other hand, you seem to feel you have quite a bit to lose.

Sharon: My children are young, okay? They need me. Now, what possible pleasure could you get out of harming them? Well, that was a stupid question, wasn’t it?

Cameron: Not at all. I like that you came looking for me. So, we can discuss this privately.

Sharon: Please tell nicholas that you can’t make this dinner.

Cameron: Let me ask you something. Do I get a, uh, a little something in return?

[ Cameron sighing ]

Christine: At the very least, phyllis is guilty of fraud and obstruction of justice. On the other end of the spectrum, we have the murder of jeremy stark.

Michael: Which was reportedly self-defense.

Diane: Yeah.

Christine: Once they can track down how the ambulance crash was staged and how the bodies were switched out, that list is gonna get longer and longer.

Jack: It finally happened. Kyle, what do you think?

Kyle: It’s great. I mean, we can pick back up where we left off, wherever that was.

[ Laughing ] I need to find summer. She has to hear this from me.

Daniel: I’m just glad that diane can be back with her family, for good. We both are.

Summer: Right. Yeah. Of course.

Daniel: I just wish we could do the same for mom.

Chance: Well, look. Everything’s up in the air until we get a statement. I gotta run, but I’ll be in touch with any updates.

Summer: Wait, chance. That can’t be it. You must’ve found something else in the motel. Evidence to prove that it was self-defense?

Chance: The room wasn’t even preserved a crime scene. I was lucky to find what I did. Any sign of struggle, it was long gone somewhere.

Summer: Well, how am I supposed to help my mom?

Chance: You know I can’t advise you on that.

Summer: But she is innocent until proven guilty, right? All I’m asking for is that she’s able to come home without an extended prison stay. Look, any guidance that you can give me.

Chance: I’ll do what I can. Within the bounds of the law, okay?

Summer: Of course. I wouldn’t expect anything else.

Chance: First of all, phyllis needs to come home and she needs to make a statement. We all need to hear this from her lips. (Wheezing)

Audra: You went toe-to-toe with victor newman himself and lived to talk about it.

Nate: It wasn’t toe-to-toe. It was a friendly conversation.

Audra: Does victor do friendly? He was trying to get a read on you, which basically determines your entire future. So, tell me all the details.

Nate: Well first, we started talking about my past as a physician. All the while, I’m trying to figure out what this meeting was about. Then, he brought up victoria.

Audra: Nothing like a little fatherly interference.

Nate: That’s when I knew that the only way out was being totally honest.

Audra: And that’s when you lost your job.

Nate: Will you please let me finish the story? He mentioned a time I did him a favor, that almost led to me losing my job. I was his personal physician for a while, and it almost cost me my medical license. Boy, was I furious, for a while. But, I understand him and his family better now.

Audra: I mean, it sounds like he trusts you. That’s worth a lot to men like him. You impressed an actual legend. That’s pretty huge. And now you’re seeing his daughter, and it sounds like you have his blessing.

Nate: But there’s this one problem.

Audra: Name it.

Nate: Nick.

[ Girls laughing ]

Mariah: Hey.

Nick: There she is.

Faith: Hello.

Nick: Look at that. We sent away a little girl, they sent back a scholar.

Faith: Oh, it’s so good to be home.

Nick: Hey, don’t stay away so long next time. I mean, noah got tired of waiting and he just took off.

Faith: Untrue.

Nick: Okay, that’s probably right.

Faith: It is so not my fault. He opened up a glam club in the uk.

Sharon: He’s back in his old stomping grounds.

Mariah: And it’s safe to travel there now because his ex lives here.

Faith: And allie’s learning the ropes at the jabot lab in paris?

Sharon: Oh, did he tell you? It is the sweetest thing. Each weekend, one of them takes the train to visit the other. Or, they both spend a few days in some other country in europe.

Faith: Poor kids. Their lives are so empty.

Nick: Yeah, their passports are probably junked up with a bunch of stamps from exotic locations.

Tessa: Yeah. Like, why couldn’t they just do something romantic instead?

Mariah: Like come babysit.

Tessa: Yeah.

Faith: As gorgeous and time consuming as aria is, it’s no excuse to put your music on hold, tessa. Next on my road to building my business portfolio? I think I should start guiding your music career.

Tessa: Can we bring the baby on tour?

Mariah: I mean, I can work remotely for jabot.

[ Doorbell ringing ]

Nick: Are you expecting anyone else?

Diane: Right now, I am thinking about the one person who can give me what I want.

Michael: Don’t look at me, I’ve done all the tricks I know.

Christine: Oh, I think I know who she’s looking for. Oh.

Michael: Ah.

Christine: Right on cue.

Chance: Morning.

Diane: Good morning.

Christine: And on that note, my work is done here.

Jack: Christine. Thank you.

Diane: Yes, thank you so much.

Christine: All right, she’s all yours.

Chance: All right.

Diane: And I cannot wait another second.

Chance: It’ll be quick. I promise.

Kyle: Chance, we owe you our thanks, and probably a few apologies.

Jack: Absolutely. I wasn’t always my best self in all of this and I know that.

Chance: Well, work usually starts with the worst day of someone’s life, so I get it. No apologies needed. All right. You are free to go. Or stay here because you live here.

Diane: I am free to come and go.

Kyle: You can live your life again. How do you feel?

Diane: I feel fantastic. Thank you. Thank all of you for everything. You’ve– you’ve given me my life back.

Daniel: I just hope that wherever mom is, she is staying safe.

Summer: You’re the one that put her in danger. Now, you’re worried about her? That’s really rich.

Daniel: I know, it’s all my fault. You did nothing wrong. She did nothing wrong.

Summer: Daniel, I told you that she was alive in confidence. And look at what you’ve done?

Daniel: God, I am so sorry that I have a conscience.

Summer: There’s a full-blown manhunt for our mom.

Daniel: I know.

Summer: All she wanted was to get her ducks in a row. Was that really too much to ask?

Daniel: Diane might disagree.

Summer: Yeah, well diane has her own family that is worried about her. Mom is supposed to be our family. I mean, you heard chance. Christine is out for blood.

Daniel: Do you wanna keep going off on me? Or do you wanna actually try and maybe work together and figure out a way that we can help mom.

[ Summer exhaling ] Okay, look, have you left anymore messages for her on that number that she called you from?

Summer: No.

Daniel: Maybe we need to change tactics. Maybe, I should call her, I leave her a message, tell her that the police are looking for her, beg her to come home.

Summer: Absolutely not. You do that and she’s gonna run and she’s never gonna look back. Not for her own sake, but for us. All she cares about right now is protecting us.

Daniel: Why does it sound like you have inside information? Like you know what’s going on inside mom’s head?

Summer: Because we think alike.

Daniel: Have you been in touch? Have you seen her again? Summer, do you know where she is? We’re done.

Audra: How is nick a problem for you?

Nate: He’s had it out for me at least since victoria gave me sally spectra’s job. And now, he sees I have the chops for this job he didn’t think I deserved. I’ve watched him over the years.

Audra: What’s your read?

Nate: Tenacious. And that’s when he doesn’t even give a damn. But this is about me and his sister. He didn’t trust ashland and he was right to do so, but now he thinks he’s victoria’s noble protector. And he’s not giving up.

Audra: What will you do?

Nate: Handle the problem.

Audra: Well, he’s a newman. Handling him is going to be a delicate operation.

Nate: And that’s where you come in.

Nick: Did that wake up the baby?
