Victor lead his family to believe that he was declining mentally. Nick reminded Victor that he called Adam by Nick’s name. Victor said Adam misremembered. Victor encouraged Nick to return to Newman, citing how happy Victoria was at Newman media and that Adam was happy being Nate’s assistant. Victor also said that Adam and Sally were having a baby – all of which was not true. Victoria was working at Newman Enterprises and beyond furious at being demoted to co-CEO, and Adam was most definitely not enjoying being Nate’s assistant. Sally and Adam’s baby, Ava, passed away before birth months ago. Victor ended the conversation and walked away, but paused to carefully watch Nick’s reaction. Nick began to believe that Victoria may be right that Victor’s mind was slipping. Nick told Victor he made the decision to not put Adam through a wall. He referred to his fury over Adam kissing Sally. Nick blamed Adam for wrecking his relationship with Sally, and vowed he’ll never forgive that. Nick said Adam is laser focused on getting Sally back. Victor said Nick was too good for her and again Victor said Nick belonged in the family company, but Nick said he was happy working with Sharon.

Nikki defended Victor to their daughter, saying everyone has called someone by the wrong name and it’s no reason to overreact. Victoria said maybe the family is not reacting enough.

Adam visited Sally’s room, claiming to check on her. Sally told him to go away. When he did not, Sally let him have it.  She insisted she did not need Adam’s approval, support or declaration of love. She said whenever she is happy, there is Adam, ready to take away her happiness, to make her question herself and doubt her feelings. She told him she is sick of Adam getting into her head. She asked Adam why he could not let her go, but she confessed she could not let him go either. She added that it’s true, but it didn’t matter and she should not have said it. She again told him to go away and leave her alone.

Heather and Daniel discussed her plans to relocate to Genowa city. Daniel later reassured Lily that him reuniting with Heather was not going to be an issue. Lily appeared to think it was. He said that Lily was his future and that they had a solid relationship.

Jack and Diane got married – again, by their son Kyle, who was certified via the internet to perform the wedding. Nikki pointed out the key players in town to her assistant, Claire. Nikki toasted Jack and Diane with a bit of thinly veiled distain, but wished them well with just enough sincerity to convince Jack she was sincere.

Tucker and Audra showed up uninvited. Nikki spotted her as she eyeballed Kyle. Audra lied that Kyle invited her and defiantly told Nikki that she likes being with Kyle and if Nikki cannot accept that, they had a problem. Until Tucker told her to resume her pursuit of Kyle, Audra was going along with Nikki’s order to break it off if Audra wanted to keep her job.

Tucker, with wedding gift in hand, claimed he wanted to make peace with the Abbotts, but Jack and Billy balked. Jack told him to get out and take his unwanted wedding gift with him. Billy wanted to know if the gift box was ticking.

Before Tucker and Audra arrived at the wedding reception, they spoke about Tucker’s plot to get Jabot. While Audra wanted no part of Tucker’s scheme, he told her that his problem was also her problem. He referred to Audra’s part in concealing information that an entertainer employed by Tucker’s record label had illegally cavorted with underaged girls while on tour.

Tucker told Audra his goal was to gain control of Jabot and Audra would run the company. He told her Kyle was a means to that end. Audra was skeptical of Tucker’s plan and his ability to pull it off, but co-operated.

Summer flirted with Chance at the reception, which Sharon spotted and put an end to it when she joined them and lightheartedly praised the party as fun.

Mamie attended the wedding reception, and told Nate and Devon she wanted to help them get past the animosity in the family. She said life is short and the family’s fueding had gone on long enough.

Victor suspected things were going a little too smoothly after the reorganization at Newman Enterprises. Victoria angrily yelled at her father after learning she would no longer be sole CEO and that Victor had returned as CEO. Victoria later spoke calmly with him, and explained she felt hurt and will support Adam as he returned to work, but later fought with Adam.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Victoria planned to retaliate and tried to get Nick to join her, but he declined.                                                                                                                                                            Adam and Nate met to discuss Adam’s role as his assistant. Adam made sure that Victor heard Adam say that he was grateful to have the position working for Nate. Nate informed Adam his tasks would be menial.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Nikki and Audra interviewed and hired an assistant for Nikki.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Nick repeated to Sally that he was falling more in love with her. He mentioned that she had not said it back to him.  She responded that she wasn’t not ready to say she was in love with him but says she does love him very much. Sally had daydreamed about Adam kissing her and could not help but tell Nick that Adam kissed her. She did not admit that she kissed him too.

Recap written by Terry

Tucker paid Phyllis to hack into the accounts of both Jabot and Billy to make it appear as if Billy is stealing money. Phyllis had only agreed beforehand to hack into Billy’s account – she had not agreed to hack into Jabot’s, but Tucker pressured her to do it. Tucker said she should have seen that coming. She hacked the accounts in exchange for Tucker paying off Phyllis’ debt to the life insurance company, relating back to Jeremy Stark’s life insurance policy money and Jeremy Stark’s taking half of Phyllis’ life savings, all in the scheme to frame Diane for Phyllis’ murder. Phyllis wanted to know what Tucker had against Billy. Tucker replied he had nothing against Billy, but Billy is in a position to help Tucker achieve his final objective – which he would not tell Phyllis.

Billy and Jack argued about Billy’s place in Jabot as co-CEO. While Jack said he wanted to work side but side with his brother, Billy maintained Jack would never see him as a true partner and cautioned Jack not to throw overboard Jack’s one true ally. Billy told Jack that Adam came to him to say he had dirt on Tucker, which Adam said he would share for a price. Jack said Billy owed it to Jabot to inform Jack what Tucker is plotting. Billy agreed. Billy added that it’s in his own interest to leverage that information in order to keep his job, since Billy thought Jack was just about to fire Billy because of trust issues. Jack said he was not going to fire Billy, but had said earlier that working together was not working out. Billy said it would be a better idea if Jack spoke directly with Adam, since Billy and Adam don’t get along. Jack then called Adam to schedule a meeting.

Adam saw Sally working on her business plan and offered to look it over when it’s complete. They discussed Adam’s efforts to change in order to establish positive relationships with his siblings and Victor. Adam bemoaned the fact that everyone’s doubting him and laughing at him while he is trying to live a more authentic life. Sally looked directly at him and stated that she was not laughing. He apologized for putting Sally in an awkward position when he walked Sally to her suite the night before and kissed her. He said for a brief moment he thought she enjoyed it too and that he could not stop thinking about the kiss. Adam told Sally the kiss reminded him of how good they were together. Adam said it’s his hope that Sally comes to him one day and says she loves Nick but she is in love with Adam. He told her he was glad they were now in a place where they can talk again.

Sally appeared exasperated when she found a bouquet of flowers in her suite and thought they were from Adam. The flowers were from Nick, with a card that read he missed her and would be home soon. Hurry, Nick, she said to herself.

Recap written by Terry

To signal his return to the CEO position of the company he founded, Victor replaced Victoria’s portrait with his own in his office, and raised a glass to the iconic work of art his ex-wife, Leanna Love, had commissioned years ago. Victoria later noticed her portrait had been replaced with Victor’s and remarked to Nate that Victor did not waste any time.

Victoria claimed she was not angered by her demotion to second in command but rather she was concerned that Victor was making rash, erratic decisions. Nate asked Victoria if she was angry because she was genuinely concerned for Victor or if she was angry and taking revenge. Victoria stated she did not have some master plan to hold onto the CEO position.

Victoria said to her mother she did not know if Victor was capable of running Newman Enterprises anymore. That statement shocked Nikki, who told Victoria she was taking some of her father’s decisions out of context. Victor stated nothing Victoria did or did not do caused the changes Victor made, but when Victor informed Victoria he would assume the role of CEO again, he noted that the company seemed disjointed. Victor stated that he just felt like taking over his company again, but Nikki pointed out that Victoria felt insulted. Victoria blamed Adam for stressing Victor so much that he’s caused Victor to make bad decisions.

Victoria seemed to sense that Nate was trying to navigate the tense situation and that he might no longer be completely behind her without question since Victor is CEO once again and Nate has Victor to also answer to.

Victor asked Nate if he would help Victoria ease into her new role. While Nate said he would do everything he could to help, he did not want to get in the middle between father and daughter.

Nikki suggested to Victor they take a nice long trip before their calendars get too busy after the reorganization, since Victor is set to return as CEO and Nikki will head up Newman Media.

After a day of brainstorming ideas for her fledgling interior design business, Sally decided to get a drink before heading up to her suite at the Athletic club. Adam was at the bar and invited her to have a drink. She suggested they have dinner. Adam revealed he was left completely out of the reorganization of the family company. He added that he and Victor later talked it over, and Victor agreed to let Adam return and to start at the bottom of the company and work his way up.

When Adam and Sally finished their meals, Adam walked her back to her suite where he kissed her and she kissed him back. She did not pull away or get angry. He apologized and left her outside of her door.

Recap written by Terry

After Victor’s restructuring of upper management, the Newmans met in Victor’s office to discuss it. Nikki wanted Nick back in the company, in his former position. She said her idea to make Nick feel more comfortable going back to work would be to return the job Victoria took away from him and gave to Nate, Victoria’s romantic interest and employee. After he discussed it with Sharon, Nick announced he would not return to the family company but planned to join Sharon’s company.

After Victoria and Victor left for a meeting, Nikki asked Nate if he would step aside if Nick wanted to return. Nate turned the question around on her, to which she cooly replied, “I don’t have to.” He claimed he would step aside if Victoria and Victor asked him to do so. Nate asked Nikki what would he have to do to prove he is sincere. She replied that he would step down voluntarily.

Adam asked Victor for a chance to redeem himself after Adam was left out of Victor’s restructuring of the company. Adam admitted to Victor that he had blown all the chances Victor gave him, but if given one more chance, Adam would prove himself by starting at the bottom, if that’s what it took, and work his way up on his own abilities and merits. Adam said that’s how it should have been all along. Victor pointed at him and said he hoped that Adam was serious, because when Adam went to the dark side, he destroyed whatever he accomplished.

When Adam later spoke to Sally about her new business, Sally stated that Adam needed something too. Adam told her he also had a plan, but she did not ask what it was and Adam did not explain.

Last week, while talking to himself, Adam said if it was war that Victor wanted, he’d get war. It remains to be seen if Adam had a vengeful scheme in mind or if Adam had a change of heart and was sincere in redeeming himself.

Sally and Nick had a tense conversation about Adam. Sally observed that the combined loss of Ava, Adam and Sally’s late infant daughter, and being left out of the family business must have been devastating. Nick said maybe Adam had learned some humility. Sally asked Nick if he thought Adam deserved to lose Ava. Nick gazed at her with a look of sadness that she even asked that.

Nick encountered Adam at Chancellor park, where Nick asked Adam if he begged Victor for another chance. Adam said he did. Nick admitted it would be cool to have a brother but whenever he and Adam built a pretty good relationship Adam did something to blow it up. Nick said that in a way, Victor set the stage for Nick and Adam to figure out who they were and what they wanted. Nick wondered if that was Victor’s plan all along.

Sharon and Mariah met to catch up. Mariah said that she may have made a mistake by moving herself and Aria in with Abby and Devon while Tessa was away, but Sharon reassured her that babies are flexible and resilient with change. Mariah admitted she constantly worried about Aria’s inability to hear. She said she knew she was driving herself crazy by worrying so much and confessed she needed a distraction.

Adam’s suggestion that he be CEO of Newman media after it is merged with Sharon’s company was not well received by his business partners, Nick and Sharon, and it wasn’t appealing to Victor, either. Sharon had second thoughts about the whole merger and told Nick she haattorneys who searched for loopholes in the agreement she signed. Adam will scheme and Victor will meddle and she Nick will be pushed to the sidelines, she predicted. Sharon suggested that she and Nick go into business together, without Adam. Sharon vowed to fight both Adam and Victor if she needed to do so.

Adam argued with Victor over Adam’s insistence he should be CEO of the pending merged companies, Newman media and Sharon’s company, formerly known as Kirsten Incorporated.

Adam noted that Victor was against the merger until Nate Hastings spoke in favor of  it. Victor responded that maybe that was so, but later told Adam that the opinion of one man does not sway his decisions. Adam accused Victor of holding against him the blackmail scheme Adam had against Audra Charles. Victor told Adam the problem is not that he is unqualified to be CEO of Newman media again – the problem is Adam’s methods to get what he wants. Nikki asked Victor what he thought about putting Sharon and Nick in control of the merged companies, with Adam in a secondary role. Victor appeared to consider the idea.

Sally’s telling Adam that she will not be joining SNA disappointed Adam. She told him that she will be establishing her own company, financed by Nick. Sally said it’s time she have something of her own.  Adam warned her Nick will not be a hands off investor.

As Sally and Nick spent time together, she told him he’s been wonderful, kind and sensitive during her difficult time. She asked him if his offer to fund her next venture was still good. He readily agreed to fund Sally’s next business. He said he had complete faith and trust in her and told Sally that she will soar. She made it clear she wanted to work on her own, with no oversight. Nick agreed. He was happy to hear Sally turned down Adam’s job offer, and told her she dodged a bullet. Sally explained that something about the offer didn’t feel right.

Victor joined Nick and Sharon as they discussed Adam, his role and how he would behave if he was head of Newman media once it was merged with Sharon’s company. Sharon said Adam would marginalize her and Nick and do whatever he wanted. Nick said he would quit if Adam was made CEO of Newman media.

Doctors delivered news to Tessa and Mariah that baby Aria had a hearing problem. Sharon urged them not to panic. Tessa called Devon, who consoled a worried Mariah because baby Aria had a hearing defect.  Years ago Devon struggled with his hearing deficiencies and got a cochlear implant.

After discovering Connor tried to run away to live with Chelsea’s mother, Adam and Chelsea struggled with Connor’s desire to leave his school, Walnut Grove, and to even leave Genowa city.

Connor explained that he had no friends there, and that kids at school talked about the problems his family faced. He said the kids talked about him behind his back because Adam fought with his family and about Chelsea’s issues. He added the other kids also talked about him since Connor found out he and Johnny are brothers, instead of cousins.

Connor said he wanted to go to a school where other kids would not know about him or his family and would want to be friends. Connor researched online and found a school near Chelsea’s mother, Anita, that helped kids Connor’s age with anxiety and depression. Connor said he does not want to go to that bad place Chelsea was in and Chelsea agreed she did not want that for him, either.

Adam was hesitant to allow Connor to go, reasoning that Connor could change schools and get help where they live right now. He explained that he and Connor need each other and always have fun when they are together, but Chelsea pointed out that Connor comes before either of them and it was a good idea to visit the school to see if it’s the right school for Connor. Adam agreed that Connor’s wellbeing was the most important thing.

Chelsea saw Sharon at the coffee house, told her that Connor wanted to leave his school, the city and to visit a new school near Chelsea’s mother. Sharon replied that the school had a very good reputation for its work with children and teenagers. Sharon told Chelsea it was very mature and self aware of Connor to look for solutions to his problems, and that speaks to good parenting.

At the Athletic Club, Daniel asked Heather if she was avoiding him. Heather admitted she was, and it was because he had a lot going on and that she did not want to complicate his life. Heather said Daniel had come a long way from the person he was after he drove away both Lucy and Heather. Heather stated she was glad Daniel’s relationship with Lucy was on solid ground again.

She said she would in remain in Genowa city for a while longer, since her law firm closes every August for three weeks and she is in no rush to return to Portugal. She admitted she did not share her plans because she was not sure how Daniel would feel. He responded that he would take all the time he could get with Lucy, that he thought it was fantastic they were staying and he took Heather’s hand. Lily returned to the club and appeared concerned after seeing that.

As Daniel left for a work meeting, Lily praised Heather for keeping Phyllis out of jail. Heather said Phyllis deserved all the credit since it was Phyllis who pleaded for leniency and convinced the judge, who decided that an appropriate sentence would be probation and community service. Although Heather said she was happy that Lily and Daniel found each other again, Heather appeared troubled after Lily stepped away to take a work call.

Chance informed Sharon that retired former police chief Paul Williams recommended Chance to be the new police chief. Chance said he felt that a career in police work chose him, but that he wasn’t sure the job of police chief was right for him. Chance said he enjoyed the work he does now, and noted that the chief of police had to oversee every case that’s being investigated, meaning he would not be in the field, actively investigating cases. Sharon indicated she liked Paul’s recommendation, since it would mean less danger.

Recap written by Terry

Ashley and Tucker were married. A doubtful Abby walked her mother down the aisle. Earlier she noticed Ashley looked deep in thought and told Ashley she did not have to go through with the wedding. Ashley chalked it up to a bride’s nerves. Once she and Tucker were married, Jack presented Ashley with documents that returned her own company’s assets back to her. Jack said he wanted to do so to end the war between them.

Tucker appeared eager to marry Ashley again, but earlier Victor told Tucker that Ashley was marrying Tucker to get control of Jabot from Jack and that Tucker was just along for the ride. Tucker responded that Victor may be right or he may be wrong.

Victor said he knew about the company Tucker and Ashley bought in Europe and it could be a foundation for a new business. Tucker remarked that he thought he and Ashley had kept that a well concealed secret.

That evening at the ranch Victor and Nikki discussed the motives of Audra and Nate,  who were both promoting the merger of Newman Media with Adustus. Nikki informed Victor that Audra visited her and Nikki suspected Audra is planning something with Nate. Audra later joined Nikki and Victor at the ranch and said she wanted to explain why she is promoting the merger.  The visit raised suspicion, and Victor later told Nikki that Adam is behind Audra’s and Nate’s desire to have Adustus and Newman Media merge.

Earlier, Audra and Kyle formed a plan to get Audra out from under Adam’s control. Audra told Kyle about the top secret mess she had to clean up for Tucker, but now Adam Newman knew about it and was blackmailing her. Adam wants Newman Media back and even though she would lose her job if the merger was successful, Audra had to do Adam’s bidding.

Recap written by Terry

Tucker, furious at Audra, confronted her and accused her of being incompetent or vengeful in the mishandling of eliminating evidence that a musician Tucker employed was sleeping with underage girls while on tour. The information in an email was left in a junk folder and remained on a server. Audra stated she did not know about it, and after the crime was hidden, she said at the time his hands were clean. He accused Audra of being careless and of putting them both in jeopardy. He told Audra that Adam was in a position to derail his plans for Newman and Adam will not want to coexist with him and Audra both running Newman media companies. Tucker ordered her to get Adam to back off because her future depended on it.

In a later discussion Audra had with Adam, who has the email about the coverup, she said there is no need for anyone to suffer any repercussions. Adam said the real problem is there is no proof that Tucker and Audra were not involved in the coverup. Adam, who had previously made it obvious he wanted Newman media back, said Audra has to convince Victor that merging Newman media with McCall Unlimited is a good idea and lucrative too.

Phyllis opened her door to find Tucker waiting for her in her hotel suite. He told Phyllis he had nothing to do with and no prior knowledge that the musician he employed was sleeping with underage girls while on tour. He said he will produce Carson in exchange for proof that Adam gets rid of all evidence that links Tucker to the scandal. Carson is the paramedic who will testify for a price that he saw Jeremy Stark attack Phyllis, and that she had to kill Stark in self defense.

Summer knocked on the door to talk to Phyllis and was surprised to find Tucker there. He told Summer he was there to check in on Phyllis. Summer, suspicious of Tucker’s visit, told her mother it was too convenient that Carson was the only witness who can exonerate her mother. Summer told Phyllis she must tell her everything.

Daniel mentioned to Summer that DA Christine Williams suggested that Summer may avoid being charged for not telling the police where her mother was while the police were investigating allegations that Diane killed Phyllis. Daniel said the DA’s offer is their mother’s chance to prove her statement that she has changed.

Daniel mentioned to Heather that Christine was thinking of offering Phyllis a deal that stipulates Summer would not be charged if Phyllis pleads guilty and gives up her right to trial. Heather said that is coercion and she will not allow it. Heather said it is her job to protect Phyllis, not Summer’s.

When Christine and Heather met, Heather accused Christine of trying to take advantage of Phyllis’ current situation to settle an old score and Christine’s actions border on prosecutorial misconduct. Heather informed Christine she is going to ask the judge to remove Christine from the case.

Tucker, deflated by the scandal he and Audra face, was having a drink at the Athletic Club when Daniel told him to stay away from Phyllis. Daniel was unaware of his mother’s deal with Tucker.

Nate told Victoria he had dinner with Nikki who asked him about his intentions where Victoria and the company were concerned. He told Nikki although he was not ready for anything serious, he could see it going that way and that in an idea world he would love to run Newman Enterprises with Victoria. Nate told Nikki that the foundation of their relationship was built on a deep friendship. A perfect description, Victoria said, as she and Nate were again snuggling in the Newman suite at the Athletic Club.

Victoria informed Nate that she is not sure she is open to having a serious relationship again and that she liked what they have right now.

Recap written by Terry

Nick and Adam discussed their father’s recent change of plans regarding Augusta, the faltering company Victor bought from Tucker McCall for Adam to revamp and run.  When Victor called his family to the ranch to issue orders about running Newman Enterprises, he directed Nick to work with Adam.  In the same conversation, Victor said he gave his children too much leeway and control, and Victor stated that he himself calls the shots from now on.  Nick hesitantly agreed to work with Adam but Adam walked out when Victor firmly told Adam he could take it or leave Victor’s new approach and plans.  Adam later changed his mind, as Nick predicted he would.

Nick suspected that Adam did something to annoy Victor into later changing the arrangement that would have allowed Nick, Adam and Sharon to run Augusta for three months as they saw fit before Victor would reassess the arrangement.  Adam denied angering Victor into pulling the rug from underneath them, as Nick put it, and eliminating the agreed to three month arrangement.

Nick was suspicious when his father said he had to go to Germany to secure funding for a project.  Nick scoffed and said Victor could get a million dollars’ funding with one phone call.  Nick said Victor lay down the law then slipped into the shadows to see how Nick, Sharon and Adam would react to Victor’s order to do nothing until Victor told them what to do.  Adam said he wanted to call Victor’s bluff and get started working on the company without Victor’s directive.  A frustrated Nick said the whole situation is impossible, because if they begin work on the company without Victor’s orders they look disobedient, but if they wait for Victor they look ineffective.

When Sharon joined Adam and Nick to discuss their approach to running the business, Sharon told Adam he wore his lost cause persona like a medal, and Nick added that he occasionally sees glimpses of a human being in Adam. Adam glibly stated that it’s all positivity from now on and no more chip on his shoulder.

Adam told Nick and Sharon that he offered Phyllis a Web Designer position. Nick rejected that and asked Adam what was he thinking.  After discussing her financial woes with her children, Phyllis called to accept Adam’s offer, but said she needed help with something first.

Prior to that phone call to Adam, Phyllis met with Summer and Daniel and told them she will do whatever it takes to earn their forgiveness. Phyllis stated she is a different person and wants to be a busy, productive citizen as she awaits trial for murdering Jeremy Stark. She told her children she accepted a job offer from Adam. Summer observed that if Phyllis wanted to clean up her image, she might want to do it with someone a little less shady than Adam.

Daniel told Summer he thinks there is more to Phyllis’ involvement with Carson, the paramedic Tucker is hiding. Phyllis has stated prior that Tucker and Carson have her whole life in their hands.

At Sharon’s coffee house, Sharon asked Mariah if she would consider leaving Jabot to work with her at the company she will run with Nick and Adam. Sharon said Mariah knows media relations and image building more than anyone she knows and Mariah could create her own job title, such as Vice President of Marketing. Tessa states it would be an amazing opportunity for Mariah.

Victor lays down the law. After he realizes that he’s given them too much power, freedom and reign over his companies, Victor says it’s time for his adult offspring to fall in line. Victor calls a family meeting and informs them they will do he wants from now on. He calls the shots, he reiterates.

Victor told Nick he will work with Adam on the company formerly called McCall Unlimited. Adam renames the company to a term that means scorched earth. Nick, not happy with his father’s directive, hesitantly agrees.

Victor tells his daughter everyone knows why she pushed Nickolas out of Newman. Victor says he sees potential in acting COO, Nate Hastings, but does not trust him after what Nate did to his own family. Victor is also suspicious of him after seeing Nate scheming with Audra, but Victoria is unaware of their alliance and goals.

Victoria and Nate spend some time at the Newman suite at the Athletic Club and Victoria gloats that once McCall is folded into Newman Enterprises, Adam will be subservient to her and Nate or he’s gone.

Victor directs Adam to reorganize and optimize the company he bought for him to run, and once McCall Unlimited is running well, it will be folded into Newman Enterprises. Adam objects, reminding his father of the prior agreement that Adam would independently run McCall. Victor states he does not care what agreements were made in the past, and if Adam doesn’t like it, Adam can walk out the door. Adam walks out the door. Victor vows that if Adam doesn’t fall in line, he is done with his youngest son.

After leaving his father’s office, Adam goes to Crimson lights, where he unknowingly interrupts Sharon’s first intimate encounter with Chance. Adam tells Sharon merging her newly obtained company with McCall is off. He informs Sharon that Victor pulled a fast one, and he wants nothing to do with his family, including his father. Adam suggests he could work with her to rebuild the company Cameron Kirsen left her.

At the Athletic Club, Tucker, slurring his words a bit, is enjoying a drink when he spots Audra and buys her a glass of wine. Audra happily tells Tucker her future looks promising. She receives a text from Kyle suggesting they meet for some romantic time. Tucker sees the text, scoffs and asks her if Kyle Abbott is what she considers a promising future. Audra countered that she sees potential in him and that she hired him to be her right hand man.

Tucker dismisses it, saying that Kyle is a spoiled rich kid who lucked his way into his high ranking position through no merit of his own. He wagers a trip to Vegas that Kyle will let Audra down. His bride-to-be, Ashley Abbott, was not around to hear that exchange.

Phyllis prepares to come out of hiding while Summer worries that Kyle will never forgive her for keeping secret the fact that Phyllis is alive while Diane sat in prison.  Summer tells Daniel she risked it all to help their mother, that she is very close to losing everything she ever wanted and that she is the one paying Phyllis’ debt.

Phyllis meets with Michael in Chancellor Park to discuss what her next steps should be before she comes out of hiding.  He tells her she has a lot of making up to do and that she should go on an apology tour to atone for her wrongdoings.  While Phyllis says she is ready to tell Michael the whole story involving Jeremy Stark’s plan to fake Phyllis’ death and his attempt to kill her, she says she needs just to sit in the park for a little while to enjoy fresh air and sunshine.  Michael advises she not wait too long to tell him everything. Moments later, Phyllis tells herself it’s time to finish what she started.

Michael meets with Daniel and Summer and advises they brace themselves, because Phyllis is coming out of hiding.  Summer tells Daniel that Chance informed her prior’s that when Phyllis comes out of hiding, the police will come after Summer.  Michael tells Summer that Phyllis feels responsible for the state of her marriage.

Jack complains to Diane and Billy about Ashley’s leaving Jabot with no conversation and no warning to start her own company with Tucker.  Diane says they’d better ensure company employees have signed non disclosure agreements and no compete clauses.  She explains it is imperative to keep employees happy so they don’t quit and go to work for Ashley and Tucker.  Meanwhile Ashley says she wants the best in the business, and if that means getting staff away from Jabot, so be it.

When Billy asks if Ashley could leave with her patents on Jabot products, Jack says the company attorneys are investigating.  Jack worries that the conflict between Jabot and Ashley’s company could get very ugly, but Billy warns Jack not to let the conflict become personal.  Billy believes that whatever Ashley does with her company, Jabot can do bigger and better.

After having a tense exchange of words with Diane at the Abbott residence, Tucker tells Ashley she is too refined and polished to get down in the dirt in her fight with Diane. He insists that’s what it’s going to take.

Recap written by Terry

Adam is pushing everyone away who wants to help him through the grief of losing his infant daughter. Nikki expresses her condolences, stating that she knows what it’s like to lose a child. Years ago when she was married to Jack, Nikki had a miscarriage. Adam finds her concern disingenuous. He also dismisses his father’s concern for him and Sally, to which Adam retorts that Victor never liked Sally.  Victor counters that he would not wish the loss of a child on his worst enemy.

Victor reassures Adam he is there for him and is his biggest supporter, not his enemy. He adds that he’s there to offer his extensive business experience to him to revamp McCall Unlimited. Their conversation turns to Newman Enterprises. Adam states he wants Newman Media back. Since it is under the umbrella of Newman Enterprises, Victor cautions him against going after Newman Media. Adam previously vowed to crush it, which he implied he would do unless he got it back. Victor thinks Adam’s goal stems from the extremely bitter rivalry between Victoria and Adam. Victoria says she plans to destroy McCall Unlimited. Victor notes that Victoria and Adam are headed for a head-on collision.

Victoria does some dismissing of her own when her mother asks if she wants to keep Nickolas away from his job permanently. Victoria claims she will not. Nikki said that forcing Nick to take a leave of absence and dissolving his team is aggressive and unnecessary.

Victoria said that Nick’s warning her about Ashland Locke is continually thrown in her face. Nick issues the same warning about Nate. Victoria claims that while Nick has distractions in his life, Nate, who is meant to be temporarily in Nick’s job, does not.

Victoria and Nate meet to discuss some overseas business. Nate says he’s ready for it. Victoria insists the same when speaking to her mother. Nikki is doubtful that’s the reason Victoria approves of him going away on business. Nikki says Nate is feeding her sense of power.

Kyle and Audra flirt in Chancellor Park, and she plays coy with him, telling him he may put his phone number in her cell phone, but not to expect a call. She mentions that she wants the top spot at Newman Media and is not hesitant to color outside of the lines to get it. In other words, she is willing to perhaps bend a few rules. After she leaves, Kyle orders flowers and diamond earrings to be delivered to her.

Sharon realizes that the ordeal she endured with Cameron is an opportunity to take her pain and anger and turn it into something good. Before Sharon killed him, he left her his company. Sharon says it’s time for a new direction and that maybe the gift in her nightmare was regaining her strength. Everything changes now, she vows.

Recap written by Terry

Sally is wracked with pain and fears for her unborn baby. Adam rushes her to the hospital. Once there, she loses consciousness.  When she wakes up, Sally can tell she’s had a C section and insists Adam tell her if their baby girl is OK.  He lets her know there was a complication and the baby did not survive.

Sally is completely inconsolable, crying that she did everything the doctor advised. She believes if she had been awake, she could have helped the baby survive. Adam promises Sally that she did nothing wrong to cause the baby to pass away, and there was nothing she could have done to save the baby, but she pushes him away when he tries to comfort her.

Sally wants Nick to be with her, but Adam tells her he called Nick, left a voicemail and even contacted Victor to reach Nick. Adam reassures Sally that Nick would be there with Sally if he could. Sally knows there must be something wrong – otherwise Nick would absolutely be there. Adam tells her that once Nick is done dealing with Cameron, that he will be with Sally.

Elena asks to speak to Sally alone, so Adam leaves the room. Sally asks if there was anything Elena could have done to save the baby.  Elena tells her no. She cautions Sally that her raw, searingly painful emotions are going to get worse before they get better and urges Sally to accept whatever help she is offered.

Sally asks how could it not be her fault when it was her job to protect the baby and she failed. Elena reassures Sally that there was nothing she could have done differently to save the baby and the complication put both Sally and the baby in danger. Elena informed Sally that because the complications were so immense, that if it came down to a choice, either she lives or the baby lives. That choice had to be made, and Elena said that there was no time to call next of kin, so Adam had to decide. When Adam returns to Sally’s side, she asks Adam how he could let their baby die.

Meanwhile, down in the sewer, where Cameron took Faith, the teen reveals that Cameron strapped a bomb to her body. Fortunately, Chance had training to disarm bombs and successfully disarms it. Cameron lay dead just feet away, after Sharon stabbed him to death in defense of Faith. Sharon asks Chance if she would face murder charges. He said no because it’s self defense.  Nick, Sharon and Faith leave Chance to process the crime scene and arrange for Cameron’s body to be removed. Once at home, the three decompress, Victor stops by to thank Sharon for saving his granddaughter.
