By chance, did Eric ever mention anything to you about me not being fully on board with this? With what, the chef? With you having any involvement at all in my son’s christening. Why is Harris even offering to Ah, I see. He thinks that you alone can take the fall for running drugs, saving your accomplice from the consequences of her own sinful deeds. Ava Vitale is a plague. If she were drowning, I would throw her a barbell. I have zero interest in lifting a finger to help her. Well, you have zero interest in lifting a finger to help me.

I suppose letting you plead guilty to a lesser charge is not as egregious as offering you a deal for shooting an officer. You dropped the charges in exchange for my testimony against Weston. Everybody’s happy. Well, except Zander Cook. He’s being charged with a crime he did not commit, but who cares about him, right?

Well, I can’t have the charges completely dismissed, but what I could do possibly is offer you a sentencing deal. I can live with that.

Let me just be clear here. If I offer you this deal, You are not going to show Detective Michaels that recording. That’s right. You get to keep your precious job as D. A. We both go free. It’s a win win. So what’s the point of this little chess game? Well, you can’t guess.

And I think I know a thing or two about relationships, and if they aren’t meant to be, they’re meant to be.

You I was thinking of running a story on the governor’s latest inflagrante delicto.

That, or covering the crazy prison break with the mysterious unknown accomplices. So you’re joking, right? You’re not seriously going to give oxygen to that bastard, are you? Well, I mean, it’s a pretty newsworthy story, no? Leo, the, the person who escaped prison, Clyde Weston, is also the person who brutally murdered my wife.

The love of my life. The mother of my children. Yeah? Now those children had to be taken out of school because all of their friends keep talking about the bad man who escaped. And now they’re scared out of their minds. That make sense? Chadwick, I That was so callous and insensitive. I am so sorry. I know this must be a very difficult day for you and your family.

Yeah, it’s more than difficult, Leo. You know, they, um My kids and I, we’re, we’re, we’re still grieving. We’re probably always going to grieve. But the, the image of finding my wife that way, in bed, is going to haunt me forever. So yeah, so the idea of this monster roaming free. Amen. Oh, the way I see it, a miracle is a seven letter word. Like, um, Mystery. Victory. Fortune. Believe. Bottom line, I got a second chance. And I plan to make the most of it. I got a victory because of this mysterious miracle. And with the aforementioned love and faith, I believe. We could overcome any to the amazing and formidable Paulina Price, who I am lucky enough to call my mother in law and I am blessed enough to call my wonderful and loving mother.

Makes me think so fondly of when Tate was little. Yeah, I know parenting a teenager can be challenging.

Yeah, that’s putting it mildly. Wait till you hear the latest.

Oh, did Victoria wake you? Oh, no, no, no. I was up anyway. Well, our little Victoria is, uh, not a happy camper this morning, and she’s letting all of us know it, aren’t you, darling? I remember when Katharina was our age, I tried everything in the world to get her to stop crying. Any suggestions? Well, walking around the room and singing to her might help, it usually does.

Might I try that with Victoria? Mmm,

Last night was perfect. Staying here, at home, with you. You mean you don’t miss your super cozy jail bed or the sound of snoring cellmates? No. I don’t miss that at all. I think it’s for the best. And I know they’re still young, but, you know, maybe they’re just not really good for each other. Like how Brady and I weren’t good for each other back in the day. Well, there was a lot of love between you two in the beginning. True. And we did make a really good kid together. Even if he does make some poor choices.

I was so sure she was going to tell the truth, too. But I didn’t give her those drugs that I tried to tell her not to take them. I know. But your family believes you. Well, I guess that tells me now. Still stuck in here with no way out. What are we gonna do, mom?

Well, I think reheated breakfast was really good. I agree. But I am glad that we got a little bit of, uh, extra time under the covers. You were the perfect appetizer. That’s very useful. I know this is gonna sound really corny, but This feels really nice. Oh, clearing dishes? Yeah, clearing dishes. It’s just, it’s us doing the simplest tasks together.

You know, having breakfast in our own home and clearing dishes as a team. Yeah, only one thing can make it better, having our daughter home. Yeah, I’m missing her too. Let’s go get dressed. We’ll go to my mom, we’ll grab her, we’ll deal with this later. Yes!

Mmm, crispy bacon and eggs. You know, this is our first sit down breakfast as husband and wife. This go around, anyway. Yeah, well, this go around, my love, is forever. And beyond. I’m leaving. You know, I’m not actually feeling all that hungry. At least not for breakfast. Yeah, well, I don’t mind. Cold. Eggs and soggy bacon.

Well, that was a way to build up an appetite. The best way, maybe. You know, if we keep this going, we might be able to cancel our gym memberships. That would be an added benefit. Sure.

You know, I keep thinking about How lucky I am to have you as a husband. And you’re not only sexy and handsome, you’re also really just so kind. I keep thinking about how you were there with me in the hospital day and night while I was being there for Mama. Speaking of your mom, and look, I mean, what happened with her, that’s like off the charts.

Amazing, right? Yeah, it’s more than amazing. It’s more than luck. It’s a miracle. And Abe? Getting his memory back at the same time? So was that. I guess call it the power of love, I guess. Your mom. She never gave up on him. Yeah. Just like you and me, we never gave up on each other. I mean, yes, we went through our very dramatic breakup.

Mm-Hmm, , and then seeing other people and all of that, but well, speaking for myself, you are always in my heart and my dreams. Same here. I actually used to dream about you all the time. A lot of my dreams took place in, uh, Italy. After our first wedding, I would look over at you. I’d go, Ti adoro, amore mio.

And you’d look back, and you’d go, Anch’io ti amo. And then I’d wake up, and I’d really wish that it wasn’t a dream. Wow. It’s not a dream anymore. It is so very real. And perfect.

It’s amazing. Isn’t it? How fast a child can grow and change right before your eyes. Oh, yes. I watched my Katharina become an incredibly kind and loving soul. I often try to imagine. What she might have become today. A mother. A wife.

Sarah, darling. Good morning, mom. Constantine. We just got Victoria quieted down. She’s been quite fussy this morning. Sandra! You’re here! Oh my goodness. I am indeed. When did you get released? Uh, last night. And there’s my precious girl. I’ll, uh, take my daughter in there. Thank you. Of course. Oh, my darling girl.

About last night I already know what you’re going to say and I don’t want Actually, no, you don’t. Yes, I had Tate arrested. But I decided not to press charges. What? You didn’t? No, I did not. Oh my god. He’s actually back at the halfway house. Oh, thank God. All I could think about was him sitting alone in some jail cell again.

Well, he’s not alone, and he is not in jail. He’s in a very safe and supportive environment. And Holly, there’s, there’s more that you need to know. What more? Part of the agreement to allow Tate to go back to the halfway house is that he needs to wear an ankle monitor. An ankle monitor? No! And there’s a restraining order that says he can’t come within 100 feet of this property or you.

My God, I can’t believe this! Mom, he didn’t do anything wrong! I know, but honey, it’s for the best. How is it for the best? And why the hell can’t things just go back to normal again? I, I just want to see my friend. Hang out with him. This isn’t fair. I mean, if you only knew. If we only knew what? If If you only knew how sad this makes me.

For Tate. He doesn’t deserve this, EJ. He just doesn’t. Oh,

I couldn’t get her calmed down. And then Constantine sang her this Greek lullaby, and she was so calm and comfortable after that. You know, Maggie, uh, Sarah and I, I think we’d be more comfortable if she was just with you when you babysit. Huh. That’s not fair, Xander. Constantine has been very sweet and kind and gentle with her.

I mean, you’ll have you know that he raised a daughter himself, who died tragically when she was a young woman. Oh my God. Me and her? Yeah, well now you know. And it’s very painful for him to talk about her, obviously. But he opened up to me about that loss. And, and he’s, his tenderness towards Victoria is very touching.

Because of that loss, and he has a way with her, a wonderful way.

I’m texting Lonnie and letting her know that Mama’s going to be released today. She is going to be so thrilled. It’s still so hard to believe. I know it is. Hey, hey, we should throw Mama a welcome home bash. You know how she loves a party. Today? Are you sure we have enough time to pull that off? Well, we can, um, call the market that’s right by the apartment.

They have a really great party section. And then we can, can you call them and just see if they have like a welcome home banner and some streamers and balloons. And then I can call the bakery and order some pastries, of course, a few quiches. And then can you also get some groceries so that we can make sure that the fridge is stocked?

You got the best of me. You beat me over and over until I lost consciousness. Then I heard a gunshot.

I knew the pawn wasn’t supposed to kill Konstantin. So I rushed inside to see what happened. It was hard to see at first. But then, I saw John off to the side. In a trance. He’s holding the gun.

And I, I spotted Konstantin on the floor. Face down. Unconscious. But he was still breathing. Then I saw, a young girl lying next to him. Blood had pooled underneath her. I checked for a pulse. But she was gone.

When I woke up, you were gone. The door was open, my home was a wreck. When I finally could focus, I saw my daughter. My only child, my Katerina, on the floor, shot by you.

I’m back. I brought you chips with your grilled cheese. Polly, honey?

I thought this whole thing was behind us. But then John and I confronted Konstantin about his intentions with Maggie. Turns out to be the same man from Aria.

John’s face was covered when that girl was killed. How could Konstantin know?

I never would have picked up on Wendy’s clue in the hostage video if I hadn’t learned ASL with you all those years ago. I thought you said that there were no clues in that video. Well, we didn’t think so at first. But then I finally figured out that Wendy was making the sign for beer. You’re welcome.

Okay, I had to check online to make sure, to confirm it. For some reason, that was a sign I remembered. I wonder why. Yeah. Well anyway, after I got that Wendy was signing the word for beer, John honed in on the wall behind the kids. The configuration, the materials. And suddenly it clicked that they were in a brew tank.

So we hightailed it out to the old brewery, past the airport. That is crazy. Well, I guess it’s lucky that you remembered sign language. It’s very lucky. I just wish I’d picked up on that clue sooner, so we wouldn’t have come so close to losing those kids. Yeah, but look. Wendy and Tripp are doing great.

They’re safe, and they’re okay. Yeah. Okay, what else? Obviously, you were worried about something else. Weston broke out of Statesville, as you know. Yeah, and it’s awful, but there was nothing that you could do. Okay, what else? I don’t know. It’s just the whole, the whole nightmare. I mean, Ava getting involved with that son of a bitch in the first place and nearly getting her son killed.

And there’s that con man Constantine trying to bilk Maggie out of the Kyriakos fortune. Not to mention Abe still has amnesia. Paulina is in the hospital dying of heart failure. Well, I hate to interrupt your litany of bad news, but um, Paulina is not dying of heart failure. What? Yeah, it’s crazy. I just was talking with Sarah and she said against all odds, Paulina’s heart is functioning normal and she’s just back to normal.

Really? Yeah. How is that possible? I don’t know. But you know, my mom would say, chalk it up to the power of prayer and love. And I, you know, I’m gonna go with that because Paulina certainly has a lot of both of those things. Yeah. Wow. That’s fantastic news. They must be so relieved. Yeah, I would think so. You two can finally go on your honeymoon. Have You know, we actually haven’t even thought about that with everything that’s been going on. Yeah, and I wouldn’t really feel comfortable going too far right now. You, you understand that, right John? Yeah, yeah, of course I do. So, Mama, you said that there was another miracle that we had to celebrate?

Um, well, uh, That is, uh, My Abraham finally has his memory back. What? Dad! Is that true? Yes, yes it is. And I’m very happy to say that I remember everything. And I remember the day I found out that you were my daughter. And even though eventually I found out that You weren’t mine biologically. I still, I still felt so much for you.

And I always will, and I am so proud to be your father.

Wow. I mean, what a relief that must be for Abe, and Paulina, and, and your entire family. Yeah, and you had a lot to do with it. All those hours you worked with him, they really paid off. Well, I think you’re giving me too much credit. Really, you all did an amazing job. You were so supportive and encouraging.

Wow. I mean, for somebody to get their memory back like that’s so sweet. Suddenly and completely? That is very unusual. Yeah. It seems like everything about yesterday was unusual.

You’re spoiling me. That’s what friends are for.

That was really tough to see. I know. Our beloved home in ashes and cinders. It was a blow, a blow to all of us. Well, the blessing is that you all made it out alive. Absolutely. But what kind of a criminal, what kind of a sociopath sets fire to a house with, with innocent people inside? The worst kind. Look, I just really hope that this investigation produces some solid leads.

I’m not holding my breath. But we’re moving forward. Yeah. Gonna restore, repair, rebuild, refurbish. I’m excited about that. So tell me, what’s up with this mysterious time capsule? Oh, the message from my grandparents. It’s great, but we have no idea what the message is. I’m sure they didn’t intend for us to find out by setting the house on fire.

Missing Salem Dr. Tripp Johnson and Salem Police Tech Specialist Wendy Shin rescued at Salem’s Old Brewery on the outskirts of the city. Thank God. Kidnapper identified but nowhere to be found.

An investigation is underway to determine whether the incident is linked to the Statesville prison escape of notorious criminal Clyde Weston. Son of a bitch. Like

So, any news on Tripp and Wendy? Well, I was at the hospital earlier. And? And, they’re doing pretty well, all things considered. You know, we got there just in time, I implied. Leaving them to die, and then that crooked cop. I mean, Goldman fooled everybody. I swear to God, if I ever get my hands on either one of them, I am going Get in line.

What about, what about the manhunt? Any news on, um, where our modern day Bonnie and Clyde might be? Not that anyone’s shared with me. And that escape. I mean, Clyde, he had to have outside help, but I don’t think Goldman could have pulled it off alone. Do you think Stephan had something to do with this?

Stephan? Why would you think that? I mean, we both know Clyde had Stephan under his thumb. Yeah. Um.

I don’t think that, um, Steppen had anything to do with it. I mean, and besides, I mean, what is he going to know about pulling off a prison break, huh?

All right, you know, time to take your pills. Oh, okay. Thank you, Nurse Nightingale. Yeah, wait, wait, wait. Nurse Nightingale, really? Yeah, I had to, uh, read, uh, her biography. I think it was, uh, sixth grade. I don’t know, something just Stuck with me about her story. You know, she was a strong, empowered woman. It was a compliment.

Grandma, I was waiting to tell you this, but I got a promotion. A promotion? A big one. A lot more responsibility. I’ll be working with the FBI and the DOJ. Which means I’ll be doing a lot more traveling, domestically and internationally. Is this something you want? Absolutely. Yes. Oh, my beautiful, brave grandson.

I’m so incredibly proud of you. Thank you. But I’m proud of you. I mean, the way you’ve been handling this house fire, you’re incredibly strong. The way you handle everything, you’re so brave.
