Days of Our Lives Update

Update written by Joseph

Chanel and Lani join Abe in Paulina’s hospital room where Abe informs them that Paulina is not doing good.

Wendy and Tripp remain locked up as Tripp encourages that Ava and Steve must be looking for them by now. Wendy wonders how they will know they are there and worries about how long they have until running out of oxygen. Tripp points out that the danger is more in the carbon monoxide. Wendy wants to know if there is a chance of them dying.

Steve, John, and Ava wait outside of the prison. John says it’s time to roll while Ava prays that this has to work.

Two men inside the prison dump over barrels of bleach and ammonia as they then take off running.

Clyde lays on his bed in his cell reading a book until the alarms go off which excites him.

Lani asks how Paulina’s breathing is. Abe responds that it’s labored and the doctors were there earlier but there’s no change or update on a possible heart transplant. Lani suggests Abe go get some rest while she and Chanel stay with Paulina. Chanel promises they won’t leave her side. Abe says maybe later. Lani argues that Abe looks exhausted and needs sleep but Abe insists that he’s fine and wants to be there when Paulina wakes up. Abe tells them that the doctors say Paulina is running out of time but points out that thousands of other people are waiting for a heart transplant too. Chanel and Lani agree that they cannot give up hope.

Tripp encourages Wendy to take slow, shallow breaths. Wendy comments on him being so brave. Wendy tries to encourage that they will be okay and says even if they are not, she’ll be okay because she’s with the man she loves as they hug. Wendy then asks if Tripp believes in God.

Steve and John break in to the prison and confront Clyde in his cell.

Paulina wakes up and is greeted by Abe, Lani, and Chanel. Chanel asks how she’s feeling. Paulina asks about her grandbabies. Lani assures her that Eli will bring them tomorrow. Abe shows Paulina drawings that her grandkids made for her. Paulina jokes with Chanel about giving her more grandbabies. Chanel says to give her and Johnny some time as they just got married. Paulina tells Chanel to tell them about her if she doesn’t make it.

Tripp informs Wendy that Ava was run Catholic and it runs pretty deep in her family. Wendy says that she’s asking about him. Tripp talks about having patients at the hospital from all kinds of faith and backgrounds. Tripp says when he’s had to give bad news to someone, it seems the religious one are usually comforted by their belief in the afterlife and that God is watching over them. Wendy asks if Tripp believes that everything happens for a reason and that God is looking out for them right now. Tripp responds that he wants to believe that, especially now. Tripp can’t believe they’ve never talked about this and asks if Wendy is religious at all. Wendy talks about being taught to seek enlightenment through meditation and it was drummed in to her that life is beautiful and mysterious but also full of suffering and uncertainty, like right now. Tripp is sorry that she’s not back in China with her family but Wendy stops him and assures that she’s here because she’s in love with him. Tripp says he wouldn’t trade knowing her for anything. Wendy suggests they should write messages for their families just in case. Tripp says they have nothing to write on or with, so they’ll just have to trust that their families know they are thinking of them and love them. Wendy brings up that her parents already lost Li, so she’s their only child and she’s scared that they won’t be able to deal with it. Wendy points out that Tripp is Ava’s only child too. Tripp acknowledges that Ava has already been through so much with losing her other son. Tripp says right now, he’s feeling pretty religious and suggests that they both pray that their parents don’t have to suffer any more than they already have.

Ava waits outside the prison.

Clyde compliments John and Steve on their plan as they dress him up in a uniform and gas mask and get him out of his cell.

Lani asks Paulina how they can help. Paulina says she needs to talk to Abe so Chanel decides they will go get coffee and exits with Lani. Paulina tells Abe that she can feel herself slipping away. Abe tells her not to talk like that and to be positive as he declares that he won’t let her go. Abe cries that he loves her so much. Paulina asks Abe to promise to take care of her girls. Abe promises to look out for Chanel, Lani, Eli, Johnny, Jules, and Carver. Abe declares that he won’t let her down. Paulina repeats that she’s tired as Abe breaks down crying.

Wendy talks about how she was dreading going to the dentist tomorrow but now she wishes she could make that appointment. Wendy feels she took everything for granted. Tripp feels he did too and brings up times that he turned Steve down when he invited him over to watch a game or when Joey wanted to hangout. Wendy praises Tripp as a son and brother but Tripp feels he could’ve done better. Wendy talks about her parents wanted her to get married young and have kids but she pushed back against anyone telling her how to live her life. Wendy admits that she does want to get married and have kids, just on her own time. Wendy declares that she wanted to be a mom and a wife but now she’ll never get the chance, so Tripp asks her to marry him right now.

Ava waits at the airfield as John and Steve arrive with Clyde. Clyde praises Ava and admits he wasn’t sure she could pull this off. Ava asks where her son is. Clyde says all in good time. Steve argues that they broke him out, so now Clyde has to keep his end up and tell them where Tripp is. Clyde says not yet which upsets Ava. Ava then pulls out a gun as the two men who helped with the prison escape appear alongside her with guns. John questions what she’s doing as Ava declares that they are going to do this her way.

Chanel and Lani sit together in the hospital. Chanel cries that she can’t believe that this happening is Paulina just got through cancer, her surgery was a success and she was supposed to be out of the woods. Chanel says they were all so happy and Paulina was recovering, doing fine. Lani recalls Paulina seeming indestructible when she was little. Lani talks about having no idea that Paulina was going through Hell in an abusive marriage and being forced to give up her child. Lani brings up when she first found out that Paulina was her biological mother and she was so upset at her for keeping it from her but she knows it was done to protect her. Lani states that Paulina sacrificed her own happiness for her. Chanel points out that Lani would do the same for her children. Lani worries that her babies are going to grow up without their grandmother and they are too little to remember her. Chanel worries that her future kids won’t know her at all. Chanel asks what they are going to do since Paulina is the one person who loves them no matter what. Lani adds that no matter how many mistakes they’ve made, their mother still loves them. They agree that they are so lucky and declare that luck better not run out as they hug.

Abe asks if Paulina can hear him as she falls back asleep. Abe thanks her for giving him the best years of his life. Abe wishes he could remember all the times they had together, but instead he got to fall in love with her all over again. Abe tells Paulina that he loves her and always will.

Tripp and Wendy exchange vows. Tripp talks about finding the one in Wendy and that’s why past relationships didn’t work out. Tripp talks about being able to completely be himself and feel accepted by her. Tripp vows to love and cherish her.

Ava tells John and Steve that this is where they get off. John warns that she doesn’t want to do this while Steve calls it a big mistake. Ava declares that it’s the only way to save her son. Ava then orders the two men to take John and Steve back to Salem so they escort them away. Ava asks Clyde one last time where her son is. Clyde calls that an ace move and says it seems Ava is the only one who gets it. Clyde tells Ava that he appreciates her stopping John and Steve from double crossing her but says he still doesn’t trust her. Clyde says that once he is in the air, he will call her and tell her where Wendy and Tripp are. Ava points her gun at him and says that’s not going to work for her.

Chanel says she has to pull herself together before they go back in to see Paulina. Lani says that Paulina knows they are scared and they can’t fool her. Chanel calls it so messed up and wrong that their wonderful mother is in there dying while horrible people get to live. Lani calls life unfair and you have to play the cards you’ve been dealt. Lani encourages Chanel not to lose hope. Lani cries that if they lose their mom, they will have each other to be the strong, fierce, and powerful women that Paulina has shown them to be.

Abe tells Paulina that they need more time to make new memories. Abe knows he’s being selfish and says if she’s too tired to fight, it’s okay and that they will try to get along without her as he knows that’s what she would want. Abe cries that they will take care of each other as he holds Paulina’s hand.

Wendy begins her vows to Tripp. Wendy calls him her best friend and praises his qualities. Wendy says they are friends, lovers, and now husband and wife. Wendy vows to love and cherish him as they kiss.

John and Steve are escorted back to the park in Salem. Steve says this wasn’t part of the plan while John says they shouldn’t be surprised that Ava double crossed them and that it’s just like the Chicago case.

Clyde warns Ava that if she kills him, she’ll never find Tripp. Ava responds that Clyde will live but he’ll walk real funny for awhile and won’t be able to have any more kids. Ava asks where her son is. Clyde thinks he’s probably halfway to Heaven by now. Rebecca, the former Officer Goldman, then appears and grabs Ava from behind, stealing her gun and sending Ava in to Clyde.

Chanel asks Lani if they should go back in now. Lani suggests giving Abe and Paulina more time. Lani decides they should go to the chapel to say a prayer for Paulina. Chanel and Lani say they love each other.

Abe holds Paulina’s hand as she imagines someone appearing in the room.

Wendy and Tripp get weak and wonder how much time they have left. They agree to get married for real if they get out of here.

John and Steve charge the two men who were holding them at gunpoint.

Clyde and Rebecca Goldman kiss after they tie Ava up. Clyde declares that they are going to drive off in to the sunset. Clyde tells Ava that he’ll be thinking of her as he travels down the road to freedom. Ava asks Clyde not to do this and offers anything he wants if he just tells her where Tripp is. Clyde says he’s sorry. Ava shouts that she will kill him, hunt him down to the ends of the earth and slit his throat. Clyde says adios while Rebecca tells Ava not to bother even looking for her son because she made sure he’s good and dead. Ava screams as Rebecca follows Clyde out.

Interview with Denise Richards

TV Interview!

Denise Richards, Kym Johnson Herjavec and Melyssa Ford speak about "Hunting Housewives", which premieres 3/9/24 on Lifetime

Interview with Denise Richards, Kym Johnson Herjavec and Melyssa Ford of “Hunting Housewives” on Lifetime by Suzanne 3/5/24Denise Richards, Kym Johnson Herjavec and Melyssa Ford of "Hunting Housewives" 3/9/24 on Lifetime

This was a Lifetime Press Panel for this fun new Lifetime movie, “Hunting Housewives.” It’s a thriller with a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor. If you watch the “Real Housewives” and shows like that, then you’re no doubt familiar with Denise Richards and perhaps some of the other actors in the movie, and the type of women they portray here. It’s worth watching, and it sounds like there might be a sequel in the future. I loved Denise Richards in “The Bold and The Beautiful” and other shows. She does a good job here, even though she’s basically playing herself. At least, that’s how it seems. I was able to ask the very last question on the video. Enjoy this video. The movie airs tonight, March 9.

When they realize they are not alone, even frenemies must align to outwit their hunters.

THIS STILL NEEDS EXTENSIVE EDITING!

There you are. Hey, how are you holding up?

Mom, I’m losing it, I swear. I’m barely holding on. I know. Your dad said that he spoke to Nicole. Yeah, he told me too. I was so pumped when I heard that Holly was out of her coma, but she doesn’t even remember anything from that night. Nothing. I know it’s a blow. But we are not giving up. We are going to clear your name.

God, I was so sure she was going to tell the truth, too. That I didn’t give her those drugs, that I tried to tell her not to take them. I know. But your family believes you. Well, I hope that does me now. Still stuck in here with no way out. What are we gonna do, Mom?

Hey! Welcome back. Thanks. Hey. It’s, uh, it’s good to be back. Yeah. How’s Molly? Oh, here, come on in. Yeah. Um, well, she’s very excited for your visit. Yeah. Um, she is a little upset, though. That she can’t remember anything about New Year’s Eve. So, but she is on the mend and she’s getting stronger every hour. Wow, that’s fantastic.

And how was it for you? I mean, being in Italy, were you able to get out at all? Oh, um, you know, very little. I was back and forth to the hospital and my hotel room, so. Yeah. How’s the photography business? It’s good. Great. I’m picking up, but you know what? My main focus, it’s kind of, it’s been on parenthood.

Pretty great, isn’t it? Oh yeah, it’s pretty great. I’m really happy to see you. Likewise. Never fear, Nanny McStark is here. God, I’m gonna regret this, aren’t I? Would you prefer I leave? No, no, I’m desperate for a babysitter and my last resort. I’m touched. I went through every contact in my phone. Eric’s family, the neighbors, literally no one else was available.

Well, then how lucky for you that I was footloose and fancy free. And I came prepared. See, I’ve been reading up on child rearing, and they say that bright colors stimulate cognitive development. And did you know that babies prefer high pitched voices, elongated vowels, and over enunciation? Isn’t that right, baby?

Great. Well, looks like you got it covered. Uh, if he gets hungry, there’s formula in the fridge. I am going to meet a new client. She’ll be back in a couple of hours, hopefully before Eric gets home. If you have any concerns Don’t worry, Mommy. Okay, fine. But listen, don’t forget that like a fine wine or a park avenue escort, I don’t come cheap.

You’ve been draining me dry for weeks. Cheap is never a word I’d use to describe you. That is so sweet. Mommy is a hot mess.

So where’s Clyde’s cell again? Clyde’s cell is Right here. In the watchtowers. Or right here. And right here. Okay.

Angela, tell me you’ll make this happen. Tripp doesn’t have much time.

So I can count on you? Bene, bene grazie.

Yeah, I owe you big. Ava,

sorry the situation has put you in this position. Yeah, well, so much for vowing that I’ll never work with my family again. So they’re in? Yeah, it’s taken care of. Angelo and his team will do their part. What it cost you?

Extends through the hourglass. So are the days of our lives.

Holly, honey, are you decent? Yeah, come in. Hey. Hello, sweetheart. Eric. Hey. Oh, I’m so glad you’re here. Me too. Just so happy to see you awake. I’m Yeah, so I’m pretty scared for a while. Yeah, I can’t believe I was out for two months. Yeah. It’s so freaky missing time like that. I bet. Yeah, I bet your mom says you’re on the mend.

You’re getting stronger all the time. Yes, she is. Sarah was here yesterday. She ran a few tests. So, our girl is on track and on her way back to normal. That’s great. Our little miracle.

What’s your plan? Theresa. Hi. And you must be Tate. I’m Sloane Peterson. Sloane has agreed to take over your case. What happened to Justin? Well, uh, as much as I’m grateful to Justin, he is knee deep right now in defending Xander Cook in attempted murder charges. So, he’ll help later, if he can. In the meantime, I’ve decided to go outside the Kiriakis family, and I want to bring you home, back to your family, where you belong, as soon as possible.

And, as your new lawyer, I’ll start by telling you, we plan to take a somewhat Novel. approach.

My family’s doing this as a one time favor. Okay, if it comes back to bite me, I’ll deal with it when the time comes. I’ve spent decades fielding demands from my family. I’m an expert at it. So let’s not get distracted. Ava called in her family because we need their help. They have the connections we need inside that prison.

That’s right. Whatever it takes, Tripp and Wendy have to be saved. Okay. Right. Okay. So, let’s just drop the topic of Angelo and his team. They’re handled. And they’re only one part of the plan. It’s up to us to take care of the rest.

Oh, here we go. Okay, um Let’s see.

Checklist for a crying baby. Step one is the child hungry. Why don’t we grab that bottle of formula mommy prepared for you, okay? Right back. Okay. Hmm. Now go, huh? All right. Okay. Step two, is the baby feverish? Uh oh. Uh oh.

98. 6, that’s perfect. Okay. Step three, does the baby have We knew this moment would come, didn’t we, soldier? Don’t you worry, I got this. And then

the cops said, I’ll take those. So I looked at my dad, he nodded for me to do it, and then I handed the drugs to her. That’s, um, that’s pretty much it. This is all very helpful, Tate. Can you remember anything else? Even some small detail you might have left out? Um, no. No, that’s everything.

Do you think you can help us, Miss Peterson? I do. But I think we should go over the challenges first. Uh, okay. Thing is, even though EJ’s case is mostly circumstantial, it doesn’t help that Tate delayed calling for help when he first found Holly unconscious, or that he initially lied to a police officer who later saw him with drugs in his hands.

But that was a mistake that he made in the heat of the moment. He was really scared and confused. He was just trying to help a girl that he has a big crush on. Shh. I understand that. The question is will the jury believe that if we go to trial?

So I have to check with the hospital about when your next exam is and schedule your physical therapy. So you two keep talking and I will be back. Okay. Do you know that I came and saw you every day at the hospital? You did? I did. I came by to pray for you. Until your mom decided to take you to, you know, Italy.

Did I look weird? No, you looked like you were sleeping. Oh. Um, uh, was there anyone else there? Of course, pretty much everyone at some point. Oh, I’ve, I’ve got a lot to catch up on. Yeah. Your mom said that you’re having trouble remembering what happened the night you overdosed. Yeah, it’s, it’s all just blank.

I don’t even remember passing out. Well, do you think that somebody slipped some drugs into your cup? Uh, um, I don’t, I don’t know. I mean, I guess that makes sense. Dancing. I didn’t watch my drink the whole time. Someone, some loser totally could have slipped something in there. I don’t know. You know, Holly, every time, um You got nervous when you were a kid.

You used to play with your hair. Oh, I didn’t spill the juice. I didn’t color on the walls. You used to be afraid to ever tell me the truth when you were nervous or thought you might get in trouble. That was a long time ago. Owie. What aren’t you telling me?

I’ve checked out the entire duct system here. It’s a go. You know, there’s also a service gate behind yard two. It’s rarely used, but it gives us less ground to cover if we can get Weston into position. Nice. Alright, where’s that list of supplies again? Here, here it is. Okay, we got uh, wire cutters, grinder, hacksaw, black tape, disguises, binoculars, cable ties.

Night vision goggles? Yeah, it’s right on here. Everything’s in order. Alright, Steven, I will handle the transportation within your field. And, uh, Angelo will have a plane prepared for immediate flight at the designated airstrip. Anything else? I think we’re ready to go. Right? Tonight we break into prison.

Okay, okay. Ah, see? That wasn’t so bad, was it? Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. That has always been my motto. Well, that and, if at first you don’t succeed, then skydiving is not for you. Okay, well, now that we’re changed and settled and looking very adorable, I might add, how about, oh, how about I rock you to sleep?

You ready for a little shut eye, huh? Okay. Uh, well I don’t see a rocking chair, so how about I walk you to sleep? And I could tell you a story. Would you like that? Okay, I take that little wrinkled nose as a yes. Um, so it was a dark and stormy night. No, you’re right, that’s too scary. Why don’t we go a different route?

Once upon a time, a very handsome little prince was born along the side of the road. And he was delivered by his very godfather, none other than yours truly. And for the briefest of moments, his mother got to hold him very lovingly in her arms. And then, a tall, handsome German god swooped in and took him away, bound for the hospital.

Or so we thought. Instead, they were waylaid by an evil, nasty, bottle blonde, wicked witch. Okay, that’s not fair. We don’t know for sure that she’s a bottle blonde.

How does the story end, you ask?

I don’t know.

But so far it’s not looking good.

But the little prince,

He is always going to be protected from poison apples. Because that’s my job. Okay. What? What

is that? Are you smiling at me?

Well, that warms my heart.

Yeah, that really warms my heart.

Eric, New Year’s Eve, that night,

It’s all just a blur. I really wish I could remember what happened.

Um, hey, how’s Jude doing? I’m sure he’s a lot bigger since Christmas. Yeah, yeah he is. He’s actually holding his head up. And he’s sleeping through the night while we waste most of the time. Got any new pictures? Of course I do. I just shot these the other day when he was having a little tummy time. Oh my gosh, he’s so cute.

Yeah. Look at those little cheeks. Yeah. Oh, he’s adorable. Oh, oh, oh, oh my goodness, he’s so precious. Definitely a keeper. Yes, he is. Wait till you see him at the christening. When is it? Will I be well enough? Well, we held off until you were both back in Salem and you were awake. Oh my gosh. Your mom said she wanted you both to be there.

Well, that was thoughtful. Well, Holly, I mean, if your doctors say it’s fine, then yes, of course you can come if you’re feeling up for it. Oh, I’ll be more than up for it. Oh. I can’t wait. Well, like I said, I haven’t made an official date yet, but it’s going to be a small family gathering at St. Luke’s, and then we’re going to have the reception at Brady’s Pub.

Oh. Yeah. You know, I have an idea. What if we have the reception here? I would love to host it. Oh, thanks for the offer, but it’s too much to ask. Well, you, you didn’t ask. And, um, hello? Are you kidding? I would love to do it for you. Especially since you saved the date for us. Really, the, the pub is fine. To be honest, I just don’t think someone would be on board.

Are you sure? I mean, look, you’re both parenting and working full time. It would be a huge load off of her and you if someone else planned it, right? And besides, closing the pub would take away business for Roman, so She’s right. I am. It’d be really cool if you had it here, Eric. It would. And look, Holly’s still recovering, so it’d be better if it were here.

And then she’s not running from the church to the pub and the, you know, the whole thing. Of course, it is totally up to you, but I would really love to do this for you. And, you know, maybe it’ll help make things right between Sloane and me.

Okay. It’s a great offer. Thank you. I’ll let Sloane know. Wait, do you think we’re gonna have to go to trial? No, no, that can’t be. This is not gonna go to trial, right Sloane? Well, that’s my hope. Um, but as we all know, EJ is DA. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve taken him on many times before, and beaten him, and negotiated some kick ass plea deals.

But, this case is personal to him. But my dad said that Holly’s awake now, we just need to get her to tell the truth. But, you said that she doesn’t remember the truth. The bottom line is, it’s going to be very hard to prove your innocence unless, She admits the drugs were hers. If we go to trial, I’ll depose her, of course, and try to get the truth out of her.

Yes, that’s good. Let’s go after her. Go after her? Mom, she’s my friend. Really? Would a friend let you go down for a crime that you didn’t commit? I’m gonna pursue every angle I can, but I do think we should consider another option. What might that be? Going to trial is a long, arduous process with no guarantee of the outcome.

I could arrange a plea deal and you would get a light sentence tape or possibly even time served. Before you know it, you’d be free to go home. No, that’s BS. I don’t want a plea deal or a light sentence. I didn’t do anything wrong. I tried to stop Holly from taking those pills. I am totally innocent. Don’t you get that?

All right. We are out of here. I’ll pick up any other supplies we might need. And I’ll get the unmarked vehicle to transport Weston to the airport. Okay, great. And I’ll meet you both at the airfield. Right. Oh, John, remember, we have to stop by the office and pick up that special equipment. Oh, yeah, well, we might just need our old pal Rico’s basement again.

Oh, yeah. Wait, wait, a minute. Special equipment, basement. What are you two talking about? It’s just everything we need to interrogate Weston about Tripp and Wendy’s location. So we’re gonna make it look like we’re busting, busting out and getting into the airfield? Yeah, but in reality, that’s not gonna happen.

We’re not gonna let him go. Oh, like hell we’re not.

H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y M Z. Now I know my ABC’s. Uh! Next time won’t you rap with me? Check it! That’s impressive. Did you daddy’s home? Uh, you alone? Where’s my wife? She’s out with a client. So you’re babysitting? Word. Son didn’t tell me she called you. I would have known. I would have been here with him.

Well, if it’ll ease your mind, he has been fed, burped, changed, entertained, washed, rinsed, repeat. And check this. Peek a boo! Are you laughing at him? Or his outfit. Hey, now. No, no, I’m sorry. You just, you, you two seem to belong. Yeah. We’ve got a connection. I felt it ever since he came into my life. Quite a special little boy you’ve got.

Couldn’t agree more.

Okay, so I’m thinking of a cold buffet bar that way people can snack since they’ll be popping in and out. Yes, oh, and we should do those, um, those individual cakes too, you know, like the bite sized ones. Yes, with a little blue icing. Mom, that whole pink blue thing is so last century. Okay. And, hey, I will be in charge of music playlists.

Because if you do it, we’ll end up with a three hour Billy Joel medley or something. I had one Billy Joel CD growing up. You will not let me live that down. Besides, Piano Man was the most amazing song ever. All his songs were, actually. If you say so. I do say so. Oh gosh, it’s going to be so great to have a celebration here.

Since there’s been so much sadness lately. Yeah, there has. So Aren’t those pictures of Jude just adorable? Mom, try not to go there, okay?

I know, honey. It’s just that sometimes those feelings just come flooding back, thinking about your little brother and, and what happened to you. I’m here. I’m back now. Thank God. Because I don’t know what I would have done if I lost you, my precious girl. I don’t know what I would have done.

Okay, so I’m going to go make a call to get the ball rolling. Mom, I don’t get it. Why do I have to plead guilty when I’m innocent? Tate, it’s to get you out of this mess. It’s a tactic, okay, to get you home sooner. We don’t know if EJ’s gonna drag this out for the long haul. It’s, it’s a guarantee of a light sentence.

But Holly could come around. She could tell the truth when she remembers.

Honey, we don’t know if, if that’s gonna happen. And we can’t wait around for that possibility. So we just need to do whatever is best to make sure we can get you out of here. Does Holly even know where I am? Does she know that I was arrested and then beat up in jail and then shoved into a halfway house?

I don’t know. I don’t know, but I will find out for you. Yes? Can I talk to you for a second? Sure.

I’ll be meeting with the judge soon to file a formal complaint against EJ. Hopefully I can get him removed from the case due to bias and non objectivity. That would be great. It’s a long shot, but there’s a chance the judge will see it our way. EJ seems to have some really strong pull with the judges.

I’m aware. We’ll know soon enough how the complaint pans out, but in the meantime, I need Tate to stay mentally sharp and focused in case this goes to trial. You two think you’re gonna double cross Clyde Weston? Do you have any idea how insane that is? Steve, how could you even think of risking our son’s safety like this?

I’m doing it for his safety. Look, we’re taking all this risk to break that maniac out of prison. So what if he takes off and he doesn’t give us Tripp back? That is a risk I’m not willing to take. So we’re going to hold Clyde’s feet to the fire for as long as it takes until he coughs up Tripp and Wendy’s location.

That’s the only way this is going to work. You are out of your mind. Do you realize that? Look, Clyde may play the country bumpkin, but he is sharp as a tack and he knows what he is doing. Look at his track record since he has been in prison. A police detective has already been gunned down. He set the fire at the Horton House.

And he is scattering drugs all over this town with the force of a Texas tornado. We know what we’re dealing with, Ava. Oh, do you? Do you really? Yes, yes. Okay, well then you know that he’s already broken in here and he is watching us. You know, he could be listening to us right now. I swept the place for bugs when I first came in and it was clean.

And with our training, no one, you know. Is ever going to follow us to the rendezvous point. Okay, well that is not enough. Don’t you get it? Clyde Weston will find a way to royally screw us if we don’t do exactly what he wants. If we defy him in any way, he is going to seek revenge and it’s going to be tragic.

So I’m begging you, please, please, just let him go. Steve, it is the price we are gonna have to pay to save our son. Ava,

I know that Clyde’s been doing a number on you lately, and you’ve been on pins and needles for months. You’re not thinking clearly. Oh, screw you, Steve. I’m thinking just fine. Okay, all I mean is that you’ve been under pressure, okay? But we can’t let Clyde Weston go. I know. Especially not after everything he’s done to half the people in this town.

Steve’s right, Ava. Can’t let a career criminal like Weston go free. We had to alter the plan. Oh yeah, and with no surprise, you two are in cahoots behind my back. Okay, so now you know everything, all right? So we’re gonna do the plan exactly as it was laid out. But when we get to the airfield, we’re gonna make it clear to Weston that either he gives up Tripp and Wendy’s location, or the night is gonna end very badly for him.

Trust us. Weston is never going to know what even hit him. Oh, honey, I, I should be talking to my therapist about this. Not my beautiful daughter who’s recently been through enough as it is. Oh, it’s okay, mom. I know how hard it was for you to lose the baby. And then what happened to me? I mean, you’ve been through a lot too.

It definitely was a lot. Not just watching you lie there so still day after day. I just, I didn’t know if you were going to come back to us or if you would ever talk again or, or, or be yourself. God, and then I thought, what if you woke up and you didn’t remember anything? Like, with Eve. And Paulina, I mean, what if you, you didn’t remember all of our good times and, and the tea parties we had when you were a little girl and, and the forts we made with the couch cushions and looking for frogs on our nature walks.

I remember all of those things.

And then I’m very grateful for honey.

And I’m also grateful for all the support that I had because if it weren’t for EJ and, and Eric, I don’t know what I would have done.

I really did lean on that baby. Mom, you are so strong all on your own. Don’t forget that. You’re a survivor. Oh, me? Yes, so are you. I mean, look at you, my little fighter. Um, yeah. Well, I’d really like to not think about New Year’s Eve anymore and the party, what happened, or at least, you know, not talk about it as much.

Okay, Annie, I understand. So we will just, we will leave the past where it belongs, okay? And we’ll just focus on this baby bash, yeah?

This has been so hard on Tate. Emotionally. It’s been rough on the whole family, obviously. As for me, I um, I fell off the wagon. It was just a one time slip. And it was demoralizing. To say the least. Anyway, now I’m completely committed to my sobriety. And all I care about is just being there for my son. And I do not want this nightmare to permanently damage his psyche or mess up his future.

I get it. I, brother Colin is locked up in prison right now. Well, because of his thirst for revenge and unlike Tate, he was guilty, but. I still wish I could have saved him from the mistakes he made. Anyway, I can’t guarantee what the outcome will be for your son, but I promise I will do everything I can to help.

Thank you so much. I get the sense he’s a good kid. He is. Let’s do everything we can to take him home.

Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow. All right? I’m going to let you know what Sloan finds out from the judge. Okay. Hey. Hey, don’t be upset about Holly. Okay? You need to stay positive. You know how many people you have backing you in your corner? Don’t give up. Don’t worry. I will never give up. That’s my boy. Love you.

Love you.

You know, I was about 14 months when I started walking. My twin sister Sammy, she was a little bit more ahead of me. And, uh, she started running around the house and nobody could keep up with her. I’m pretty sure I skipped walking and went straight to running. Away from my mother in terror. You’re home! Hey!

Uh, Eric, I couldn’t find anyone to babysit. I, I just And you found Leo. Who’s been doing a wonderful job. You even got him to smile and laugh. That’s great! I think he remembers me. Well, since we’re both home, uh, Leo, you can head out. Um, I’ll just pay you. Oh, no, no, no. He can stick around if he wants. I mean, we don’t have any plans.

I’m sure he has plans. Nope. Free as a bird. Super. I’m gonna get a glass of wine. Oh, yes, please. Hey, honey, by the way, um, Nicole, well, she offered to host a little after party at the DiMera mansion. Yeah, it’s kind of her way of extending an old friendship. O M G, Nicole is just the sweetest. And the DiMera mansion, what a perfect venue.

Fine. We’ll do it your way. I just want my son back. And once he is home and he is safe. I don’t give a damn what happens to Clyde. We have everything we need to deal with him, Ava. I assure you. But first, we have got a prison to break into. I’m ready. Let’s move it. Okay. We’ll be in touch within the hour.

Alright, password should be my birthday. I want to think about changing that, mom. I’m in. What? Crap, I don’t know Holly’s number. I don’t know anyone’s number. Oh, she’s got a contact. Damn, she’s got a contact list. Um, So familiar. Okay, so we will do finger sandwiches, um, and pasta salad. Rolls. Rolls, yes, great idea.

And petite fours. Must haves. Oh, and hey, maybe we can do, like, little candle party favors with Jude’s name on them. Yes, that’s a great idea. Okay, I’ll let you look into that. I think Sloan and Eric are gonna love this. I can’t wait. Uh, so listen, I’m gonna go out and hunt down those petite fours, and then we’ll talk to Cook when I get back.

Do you need anything while I’m out? Okay, well, text me if you think of anything, okay?

Theresa Donovan? Why the heck is Tate’s mother sliding in my DMs? Sorry lady, no time for you. I’ve got a party to plan.

Transcript provided by Suzanne

Are you coming from work?

Mariah: Yes, I got sucked in by some very exciting reports. And now, I am absolutely starving, so I thought the manager and I could, you know, sit down and have a snack. Unless that’s not going to work for some reason?

Tessa: Oh, no, no, no. Yeah, that’s totally fine. Uh, just give me a second.

Mariah: Okay. Something’s bugging you. What’s going on?

Ashley: How long do you intend to keep me waiting?

Tucker: What is this about?

Ashley: I’ll tell you when I see you. It’s too important to get into on the phone.

Tucker: Well, your text said urgent, but I don’t see what there could possibly be between us anymore that’s so important.

Ashley: Well, let me show you.

Tucker: Again, what is the point, ashley? It’s very late. I’m getting ready to go to paris.

Ashley: Without me?

Tucker: Yes, without you. With audra. But don’t worry, on your behalf, I will throw some chairs and break some glasses at our favorite bistro.

Ashley: That’s very funny. It’s also ancient history.

Tucker: Would you please stop? This is getting so old. So either wish me a bon voyage or hang up. Either way, this conversation is over.

Ashley: Trust me, when I talk to you face to face, you’re going to rethink paris. You’re going to rethink everything.

Nikki: I’m sorry I had to bother you so late.

Jack: No, it is never a bother, nikki.

Nikki: Well, I’m sure diane didn’t appreciate it.

Jack: Diane understands, and I am happy to be here, particularly as it seems you are here alone.

Nikki: Everybody else is in bed. I– I couldn’t sleep. My mind is swimming.

Jack: Okay, okay, well I’m–

Nikki: It’s been a rough night.

Jack: I’m glad you called me instead of going out for a drink. And thank god there is no alcohol left in this house. What?

[ Phone rings ]

Victor: Hello.

Jordan: Hello, victor. Is this a good time? Sometimes, the lows of bipolar depression

Announcer: Additional sponsorship provided by…

Victor: Well now, I did expect your call. So, you told claire that you would reach out to me, right?

Jordan: How fortunate my niece was able to pass that along before that terrible fire at victoria’s house.

Victor: Well, you had a busy night, didn’t you?

Jordan: I don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s been all over the news, I’ve just been reading about it. And apparently, from what I’ve read, there have been no– no injuries, no casualties. Is that true?

Victor: Let’s get back to claire, okay?

Jordan: Ah, claire. Yes. Why don’t you tell me, truthfully, where she’s residing now, and with whom?

Victor: Well, that will be her decision.

Jordan: How egalitarian of you. Quite a change.

Victor: So, claire gave you the message that I wanted to talk to you?

Jordan: And I don’t buy a word of it.

[ Victor laughs ]

Victor: Well, one thing I can assure you of, I’m a man of my word, you know?

Jordan: Oh, victor, please. It’s been decades. Do you really think that I believe, after what I have done to your family, that you are suddenly remorseful over what you did to my sister?

Victor: Well, no, it’s precisely because of what you have done to my family, all right? Obviously, I’m willing to make amends. Whatever you ask me to do, to put an end to this horrible story.

Jack: Did you have someone bring that to you?

Nikki: No. When victor had the house searched, they must have missed it.

Jack: Nikki–

Nikki: It’s full. The seal is unbroken. I didn’t have any. But I almost did.

Jack: Okay. You said it’s been a rough night.

Nikki: I don’t even know where to begin. With the house fire or my former sponsor’s murder.

Tucker: You got 10 minutes.

Ashley: I only need five.

Tucker: So, does this visit have anything to do with abby’s visit earlier?

Ashley: Abby was here?

Tucker: Mm-hmm.

Ashley: What did she want?

Tucker: She thinks I must be toying with you because of how you’ve been acting lately.

Ashley: How have i been acting?

Tucker: So civil. And admitting you were wrong about paris. Trying to persuade devon to give me another chance. Oh, yes. Seems you went a little too far with that one, didn’t you? Set off major alarm bells in abby’s head.

Ashley: Well, she doesn’t understand. I’m sure she thinks that you set me up to pleading your case, and we know that’s not what happened.

Tucker: Yeah, I told her that there’s a possibility you’re setting me up for something, but she wasn’t having that, so she has officially put me on notice. She’ll be watching me, making sure I don’t hurt you again.

Ashley: How sweet.

Tucker: Yeah.

Ashley: How unnecessary.

Tucker: Yeah. Warned me to stay the hell away.

Ashley: Don’t you worry about abby. She’s being overprotective, but she won’t bother you anymore.

Tucker: What she is is confused. And frankly, so am I, by all these bizarre 180s of yours. If anybody’s playing games here, it’s you.

Ashley: I understand you’re skeptical. And that’s why I’m here. I want you to know that I meant what I said. I want things to go back to the– the way they were between us. Because neither one of us has ever felt that way before, and we never will again. Not with anyone. The years that we’ve shared, I mean, all the obstacles that we’ve– we’ve gotten through, right? Our guards were up. Well, I’ve let mine down, and now it’s your turn.

Tucker: Ashley–

Ashley: And this plan that you have for glissade, tucker, it’s brilliant. I want to be a part of it. I want to be a part of every single aspect of your life, both personally and professionally.

Tucker: Um, you see, I don’t trust you anymore.

Ashley: We’re not good at trust. We’ve established that, but guess what? I think I’ve figured it out.

Tucker: Please–

Ashley: Listen to me, please. It takes honesty.

Tucker: No. You’re not listening to me. This is not going to happen.

Ashley: It’s not?

Tucker: No.

Ashley: Then, why did you invite me up to your suite? Anthony: This making you uncomfortable?

Tucker: I thought you might have something honest to say for once, but clearly you don’t, so I’ll just take the opportunity to tell you to your face that if you’re running some kind of scam here, it’s not going to work.

Ashley: There’s no scam. I have no ulterior motive. I’m after one thing, and you– you know what that is.

Tucker: Hey, stop! No. No. We’re not doing that. If you’re– if you’re setting me up for something, ashley, if you’re laying some kind of trap, I am never gonna fall into it, okay? I’m sorry if that messes with your plans.

Ashley: We love each other. It’s as simple as that, and we were on track to be outrageously happy. The world was ours for the taking. We got derailed.

Tucker: Stop.

Ashley: Listen, we can get back on track.

Tucker: Stop.

Ashley: I just need you to meet me ha–

Tucker: That’s enough! It’s not gonna work.

Tessa: Wow, I did not realize how hungry I was.

Mariah: Let me guess. You haven’t eaten in hours, right? Is that where you were on edge when I walked in?

Tessa: Um, actually… something happened… and I didn’t mention it because it upset me, and I knew it was gonna upset you, too.

Mariah: Okay. Well, I promise not to flip out, so just tell me.

Tessa: Well, you know how security at the ranch has been stepped up because of jordan being on the loose?

Mariah: Yeah.

Tessa: On my way out, one of the guards stopped me, thinking I was her. And I froze, and it freaked me out.

Mariah: What? No! They know you. They know us. How could this happen?

Tessa: Well, this guy was new, and once he figured it out, he was so apologetic. But you know what? It– it really freaked me out.

Mariah: Well, yeah, of course it would. That’s terrifying. And you know what? I don’t care if the guy is new. He should have been briefed better. I’m gonna talk to victor about this.

Tessa: Thank you.

[ Tessa sighs ] I mean, I know. This woman is a menace, and I am glad that there’s security, but it’s gotten to be a bit much.

Mariah: Yeah. Well, it’s been going on for weeks now, and everyone’s on edge.

Tessa: I’m worried that aria is picking up on it.

Mariah: I just hate that this is what passes for normal at the ranch.

Tessa: If this is the way it’s gonna be, maybe it’s time to move.

Jack: Wait, are you sure it was murder? Could it have been an– an accident or a suicide?

Nikki: I am sure. When we met for coffee, seth was very excited about his decision to go to rehab.

Jack: Could he have been covering for your benefit?

Nikki: No. He wasn’t depressed. He hadn’t had one drop of alcohol the whole day. He was not a man getting ready to fling himself in front of his speeding car.

Jack: So you think he was at this bar to confront jordan?

Nikki: I know that he was. Victor and I went there to the bar, and one of the officers said that seth was seen leaving with a woman. And then right after that, the same woman came back in and claimed that seth said, “tell nikki newman I’m sorry,” right before supposedly killing himself, which was a lie. She pushed him. She killed him to send me a message. Of course, she had disappeared by the time the police got there.

Jack: Oh, nikki, I am so sorry about all of this.

Nikki: If only I hadn’t asked him to string her along to help me, he’d still be alive.

Jack: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, don’t start thinking like that. This woman is a sociopath. This is not your fault.

Nikki: It’s only the half of it.

Jack: Wait, what do you mean?

Nikki: Jordan wasn’t done yet. Shortly after that, victoria got a phone call that her house was on fire.

Jack: What?

Nikki: She and victor raced over there, but the house couldn’t be saved.

Jack: Oh, my god. Poor victoria.

Nikki: And johnny and katie. Thank god, they’re at boarding school. Nobody was in the house, but their whole life is in there.

Jack: But no one was hurt.

Nikki: Yeah, I’m sure jordan will be disappointed to hear about that.

Jack: And I’m sure victor has his security team and the police on high alert. I mean, took– I had to go through several checkpoints to get in here.

Nikki: They can’t be everywhere all at once. And I am terrified for my family and how much I want to have a drink.

Jack: Okay, um, we could make a meeting if we left right now.

Nikki: Let’s go.

Jordan: I don’t know exactly what is supposed to end. I’m merely trying to live my life. You’re the ones that stole claire from me and turned her against me.

Victor: Given that you stole her from us when she was a baby.

Jordan: To give her a better life. To give her a more honest life. Something you would never have done. To show her what real family loyalty is.

Victor: Well now, jordan, your loyalty to your sister is– is deeply touching.

Jordan: My sister deserved your loyalty, victor. Instead you treated her like garbage.

Victor: Well, you know, I have a lot of regrets in my life. None bigger than the pangs of conscience I feel whenever I think of your sister, eve.

Jordan: So, tell me victor. Unburden yourself. Tell me all about it. Tell me what you’re going to do to make amends for my sister.

Victor: In order to do that, I’m going to have to look into your eyes, you know? So, let’s meet somewhere.

[ Jordan laughs ]

Jordan: So, I can walk right into your trap?

Victor: Or I into yours, right? I mean, are you willing to take the risk? I am. Y’all wayfair makes it so easy

Tessa: If jordan burned down victoria’s house, what else is she capable of? Aria is so vulnerable.

Mariah: Her safety is top priority and ours.

Tessa: Right. So, is the ranch really the right place to raise our baby? I mean even when the police catch up with this woman… the newmans don’t exactly live a simple quiet life. I mean there’s something always popping up with them. I mean a new threat, a conflict, and everyone around them just gets sucked in. I’m sorry, I– I don’t mean to upset you.

Mariah: No. No, no, you– you’re not upsetting me. I mean, I am upset about the guard, but I’ll get over that. It’s just– yeah, I– I never thought we’d stay there forever. The ranch is beautiful, and the tack house is amazing, but it’s always felt weird to me, you know? Living in a separate house on victor’s property. I mean, sharon’s house was one thing, but–

Tessa: It’s the newman ranch.

Mariah: And we’re not newmans. So, maybe it’s time to create our own home.

Nikki: Hi. My name is nikki and I’m an alcoholic. This has been one of the worst nights of my life. Um, some of you may know part of my story from other meetings.

[ Nikki sighs ] I have been through months of torture… where a mad woman who knew my history force fed me with alcohol through an iv. She was trying to destroy my sobriety. And she did. So, I found myself back at aa, craving alcohol and desperately wanting my sobriety back. So, um, I reconnected… with my long time sponsor, seth. And I think a lot of you in the room know him. And I’m so sorry to have to tell you that… seth died earlier tonight. He was hit by a car… outside of a bar. Now– now, to be clear, he was sober. He was pushed in front of that car by the same woman that I just mentioned. Her name is jordan. And I know that she is responsible for killing him. I– I– I wasn’t there. I didn’t witness it. I don’t have any proof. But I know that she did it. And I hate her for it. I hate her even more than I did before. And I just feel such tremendous guilt. Because, without my knowing, she tricked seth into believing that she and i were friends and she used him to spy on me. And so then when I realized what she was up to I– I asked him to keep her on the hook so that the police could catch her. And he was so eager to help me, I mean that’s just the kind of man he was. He always went above and beyond for me. And this time it cost him his life and now I– I wish that I hadn’t asked him to help me, you know? But I did, and so I feel partially responsible. And it will haunt me for the rest of my life. And now… all I want to do is drink. I want to crawl inside that bottle. But I know that that would not be the right way to honor seth’s memory. He would want me to be strong, he– he would want that for all of us. So, that’s what I intend to do. Because I’m going to make it my life’s mission to make sure that that monstrous, murderous bitch is put back behind bars. I want to see her punished, not just lack of her freedom. No, no, no, I want to see her pay and pay and pay for all of the people that she has killed, including seth. Frankly, I want to see her pay with her life. I want her to die in prison and not from old age. I want it to be in the most horrific way, unbearable agony with her begging for the mercy she didn’t show our seth. That’s what I want. And that’s what she deserves. So… if there is any justice in the world, if karma is real… that’s exactly what she’s gonna get. Soon enough, soon enough.

Ashley: You’re not gonna intimidate me just because you yelled at me.

Tucker: Why is it, ashley, every time I raise my voice above a whisper you accuse me of trying to coerce you somehow?

Ashley: I’m not accusing you of anything, tucker. I’m here to tell you that I understand you.

Tucker: Do you?

Ashley: Yeah. I know that all this anger and rage and suspicion is because I wounded you so deeply. I’m so sorry.

Tucker: Apology accepted. Now, you can get the hell out of my apartment.

Ashley: What are you doing?

Tucker: I have things to do.

Ashley: What? Like take somebody you don’t love to paris, when you could take me? When the two of us could be together just like we always dreamed of?

Tucker: This is just too ludicrous.

Ashley: What do I have to do to prove to you that I will never hurt you that way again? I promise you. Name it. Name it, whatever you want. I will never hurt you that way again, I swear.

[ Knocking on door ]

Audra: Tucker. Hi.

Tucker: Hey.

Audra: What’s she doing here?

Tucker: Just leaving, actually. With moderate to severe plaque psoriasis,

Announcer: The young and the restless will continue.

[ Ashley sighs ]

Ashley: I give that kiss about a three out of ten.

Audra: What’s going on here?

Ashley: Let me explain it to you, audra, and I’ll speak slowly so you can understand me. Tucker and I will be husband and wife again. I’m not going to back down for anyone or anything, and that’s including you. Because what we have is a once-in-a-lifetime connection between two people that were meant to be together. Now, I sabotaged that, and I was stupid. And now, I need to rectify my mistake and I will. You can count on it.

Audra: Ugh.

Tucker: God.

Audra: So suddenly, she’s madly in love with you, and wants you back?

Mariah: Oh, okay. Is this what we’re thinking? Look, it’s three bedrooms, two and a half baths, it’s a little east of the university. Walk to downtown, got to love the commune.

Tessa: Um, is there a yard for aria to play?

Mariah: There is a patio. No grass or trees. Lots to take care of.

Tessa: But there’s no room for a swing set. And what about privacy?

Mariah: Well, look, there’s a fence, yikes, but the houses on either side look down into the yard– excuse me, patio. Yeah, no, this is definitely more of a city center feel. If we want green space, we’d have to head to the park.

Tessa: Hm, I’ve never thought of myself as the suburban mom type.

Mariah: Oh, just wait until aria starts soccer.

Tessa: Oh, no, can’t think about that.

[ Both laughing ] Hey, what about something like this? Uh, newly renovated farmhouse in park-like setting on half acre with mature trees. I mean, doesn’t that sound nice and safe and romantic? And it’s in our price range.

Mariah: Lovely. How far out in the boonies is it?

Tessa: Oh, the boonies are great.

Mariah: No.

Tessa: And in this case, affordable.

Mariah: Okay, clearly, we need to make a list. Wants, needs, absolute deal breakers. We also gotta look at interest rates, taxes, all that stuff. I mean, we gotta put a kid through college someday.

Tessa: Wow, all this and brains too.

Mariah: You know, I have heard they come in handy sometimes.

Jack: Venting all that rage had to feel pretty good.

Nikki: Yeah, it did. But I know it won’t last.

Jack: No, it rarely does.

Nikki: I’ll wake up tomorrow, and seth will still be dead, and victoria’s house will still be in ashes. But being in front of those people, and saying out loud how much I detest jordan, that helped.

Jack: Yeah, I got that by the look in your face.

Nikki: Yeah, serenity mixed in with hatred.

Jack: Yeah, something like that.

Nikki: Jack, you have been my hero a few times lately. I don’t know that I would be able to hold it together without you.

Jack: Oh, sure you would. No doubt in my mind. I’m just glad you don’t have to.

Nikki: Yeah, me too. Um, so I have just one more favor to ask.

Jack: Ask away.

Nikki: Please take this away. Even though I’m feeling strong, you never know when the urge is going to come back, please.

If you’re taking

an antidepressant,

Victor: What is that bottle doing in here?

Nikki: I didn’t know I had it. As you can see, it’s unopened partly thanks to jack, and he was just going to get rid of it for me.

Victor: I hope we don’t find any other alcohol on this ranch.

Nikki: Well, I’m not aware of any.

Jack: I will see that it is disposed of off the premises. Good night to both of you.

Victor: Thank you, jack.

Nikki: What are you doing up and dressed? I thought you went to bed.

Victor: Told you I have to make a call from the office.

Nikki: At this hour?

Victor: Yeah. It’s late afternoon in singapore.

Nikki: Victor, can’t it wait?

Victor: Sweetheart, I said I have to make a call.

Nikki: All right, it’s just us.

Victor: Right.

Nikki: Why don’t you tell me what’s really going on?

Tucker: You’ve got absolutely nothing to worry about. You can believe that.

Audra: Well, I just walked in here in your suite, and found your ex, declaring that it’s her new mission to win you back. Look, I’m not worried, but I sure as hell am annoyed.

Tucker: I hear you. That’s fair. But this was not some secret rendezvous.

Audra: Then what was it? Why weren’t you at the bar downstairs in public? Why did this meeting have to take place in a room with a bed?

Tucker: Because she was absolutely insistent that we meet in person immediately, and I was in the middle of packing, so it was more convenient for me.

Audra: Yeah, for her too, I’m sure. You know, if she was that upfront with me that she wants and loves you, I can only imagine what she had the brass to say before I showed up.

Tucker: I can understand you being pissed off, but I just don’t want you to be jealous.

Audra: Jealous? I have every right to feel the way I feel with this entire situation. She’s still around, in our lives, in your room.

Tucker: Right, but you heard my response to her, right? You heard what I said.

Audra: She’s not getting the message.

Tucker: I don’t know how I can be any more clear.

Audra: You know, tell me the truth. Has she done this before? Insist you get back together?

Tucker: No, never. Which makes me suspect there’s some, uh, strategic move at play here. To what end, I have no idea, but it’s not going to work. Hey. I almost lost you once. And… I’m never going to let that happen again.

[ Audra sighs ]

Audra: Well, at least, I guess, you can see what she’s up to. She’s such a mess. Did you see her reaction after we kissed? She wasn’t cool or collected at all for that second. You know, that tough stance of hers is sheer bravado.

Tucker: Yeah, just I– I saw something in her– in her eyes, though. Different than that, it was– she was confused, like she didn’t know what she was doing or why she was here.

Audra: I don’t know, I highly doubt ashley abbott’s ever confused about anything. But at least you packed for paris.

Tucker: Oui.

Audra: Despite the interruption, does ashley know that we’re leaving for paris?

Tucker: The first thing I mentioned.

Audra: Is she going to follow us there, hide in your suitcase?

Tucker: She might. I’ll be sure to check before we go to the airport. No, she’s not going to interfere with this trip.

Audra: I want to believe that. I just– I can’t wait to be on that plane with you. Just away from all of this. Just you and me, together in paris in a way we have never been before.

Tucker: I’m going to be the absolutely luckiest man in paris.

Audra: You already are.

Ashley: Uh, an old fashioned, please. Thanks. I think she suspects. It won’t be much longer now. And then she’ll be safe. For good. I would’ve called yesterday.

Mariah: Okay, look, look. This one checks an awful lot of boxes.

Tessa: Oh, the kitchen. Okay, that kitchen is now one of my must-haves. Whoever designed it thought of everything.

Mariah: You’ve always said you wanted to learn how to cook, so–

Tessa: Oh, there’s actually room to spread out. We could even cook together sometime.

Mariah: Oh, baby. It’s so great to have dreams.

[ Both laughing ]

Tessa: Oh, the location. Could it be any more perfect?

Mariah: Yeah, new roof, finished basement. I mean, ridiculous amounts of storage, and look, look. The little sunroom overlooking the yard.

Tessa: Are you thinking a home office?

Mariah: Uh, or a playroom. Or both. [ Laughs ]

Tessa: I love this, you know?

Mariah: What? Looking at houses that we’re probably not gonna buy?

Tessa: No, planning our future. I mean, think about it. We have a lifetime together. We get to watch aria grow up for years and years. Neither of us grew up in a house with a sunroom/playroom with parents that adored us and we get to give that to our daughter. And to each other. I mean, it’s incredible.

Mariah: We’re living the dream.

Tessa: No one else I’d want to live with.

Victor: I told you that I have to make a call to singapore.

Nikki: From newman?

Victor: Yes.

Nikki: Right this second?

Victor: Either way, why did you call jack over?

Nikki: Because I was in danger of opening the bottle. You should be grateful that I got a hold of jack when I did.

Victor: All right. I’m glad you didn’t drink. And I’m glad that he took the damn bottle with him. So, uh, why don’t you get some rest, sweetheart?

Nikki: Victor, I am not letting you slip out the door at this hour when I don’t know what you’re up to.

Victor: I gotta get going. Right now, okay?

Nikki: Tell me where you’re going. Tell me the truth.

Tucker: Something’s not right.

Ashley: Well, hello, jackie. How are you?

Jack: Well, let’s just say it’s nice to be home.

Ashley: I know exactly what you mean.

Jack: Well, I guess you were right about a walk in the brisk night air. You seem–

Ashley: What? Refreshed?

Jack: In a good mood.

Ashley: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, honestly, for the first time in a while, I don’t know, I feel like everything is coming together. Like, I’ve got this– this vision for my life, you know?

Jack: Without tucker, I hope.

Ashley: Absolutely.

Announcer: Next week on the young and the restless…

[ Door clicks open ]

Phyllis: It’s just difficult trying to be the person that my kids want me to be. And at the end of the day, I just feel alone.

Nikki: I’m afraid I’m just not up to telling stories tonight.

Claire: Not even the legendary story of how nikki reed met victor newman?

Michael: Don’t make me a liar to my wife. No heroics, no surprises. I promised lauren I’d be home in a couple of hours, safe and sound.

Victor: Lauren has nothing to worry about, okay? I love that my daughter still needs me.

THIS STILL NEEDS EXTENSIVE EDITING!

[ Cellphone chimes ] Kristina: Sam! Hi. Hi! Hi. You okay? How are you doing? I’ve been so worried about you ever since we heard about dante. Molly still is at the office, otherwise she’d be here. How’s dante? I have good news. Great, thank you. That’s great, chase. Yeah. Will you — will you let me know when forensic has got any information on that hoodie? Thank you. Good. Call me back. Commissioner devane. I heard about falconeri. How’s he doing? Yeah, he’s — he’s out of surgery, so… good. Yeah. There’s been a development. Okay. Is that… jason morgan? That image was taken tonight from the roof of selina wu’s warehouse. Now we know who was shooting at sonny. I should be at the hospital right now. I’m sure pacing here is helping dante as much as pacing there would. Thanks. Like I don’t already feel useless enough. No, I just — I meant that your good thoughts are reaching him no matter where you are.

[ Sighs heavily ] Okay, yeah. Also, I would have said anything to get you to stop. I’m sorry. I — I don’t mean to make you… as crazy as this is making me. You have every right to be worried about your brother. In the meantime, my fellow nurses are sending me regular updates. See? Well, no change. No change. No change. That’s good, right? That means that he’s — what, that he’s stable? And you didn’t even go to medical school. And if dante’s condition changes, you know, for better or, god forbid, for worse, we will get someone to watch the kids and we will head right over to gh. Yeah. I know you’re right. I just… well, I — I just feel so helpless. Sorry. No. You don’t have to apologize.

[ Sighs ]

[ Sighs ] Jason: Carly.

Hey. There you are. Any news on dante? Yes! Yes, yes! The best. Our son made it through surgery. Oh.

[ Laughs ]

[ Crying ] They’re getting dante set up in his icu room, and once that’s done, he can have visitors. Okay. Well, what are you still doing here? I know you’re dying to see him. Um… so excited to see him. He’s unconscious, and I — I just feel like I need a few more minutes before I see him like that. Well, you take the time you need. And then when you’re ready, he’ll know you’re there. I’m glad you two are here. Honey, any time. Yes. Always.

[ Knocking ] Uh, I’ll get it. It’s dex and joss. It’s okay. I got it. Hi. Come on in, guys. Hi. Have you been at the hospital this entire time? Yes. We had to give commissioner devane a statement, and I took him home to change. Lucky me, no one had cleared out my apartment yet. Look, I can’t thank you two enough for what you did for dante at the scene. Willow: One of the er nurses said dante might not have made it if you two hadn’t intervened, so thank you. So, um… are you… here with an update? Not about dante. Um, he was still in surgery when we left the hospital. But we do know something about the person who shot him. That’s impossible. Oh, my god. No, if — if this is jason, he would never work for anyone who would hurt sonny. Say, okay, listen. We know he was on the roof. We know the shots came from the roof. We know that dante falconeri left the roof to pursue two people. Assuming one of them is morgan, where would he go? Well, to sonny obviously, but he’s here. Or…sam.

[ Indistinct conversation in distance ] Anyone else? Yeah. There is one other person he would run to.

[ Shakily ] Jason? It’s me. It’s you? It’s really you? It’s really me.

[ Sniffles ]

[ Gasps ]

[ Crying ] Oh, you came back!

[ Exhales sharply ] I’m sorry it took so long.

[ Crying ] What — what happened? Where have you been?

[ Grunts softly ] What are you wearing? You’re bleeding. Were you shot? Yeah. How bad is it?

[ Gasps ] It’s — it’s not bad. You always say that. Oh, god. Alright. Carly… the bullet passed through. I could use a bandage. Okay? I’m gonna be okay. I…have… a first aid kit I can get. I don’t want to leave you. I’m gonna be here when you get back. Promise me. Promise me you got to be standing right here when I come back. Promise me. I promise.

[ Grunts, inhales sharply ]

[ Exhales sharply ]

[ Gasps ]

[ Cellphone chimes ] Okay. Wait, wait. Uh, sam just texted me dante’s room number, so… alright. Let’s go. Yeah. I’ll see you later? Mm-hmm. I’m so happy about dante. Thank you. Thank you. Olivia. Sonny. I h– I heard what happened. Is dante okay? Yes, yes. He made it through surgery, but we’re just — we’re just going to see him in icu. Oh, thank god. I’m sure he’s gonna be fine. Yeah. Um… we’re going to see him now, so… oh, right. Y-yeah, of course. Sonny. Um, please give dante my best. Of course. Of course we will. Ava, what is going on? What the hell happened tonight? Excuse me? Maybe you could help me. I’m gonna meet you upstairs. Oh, right. Oh, wow. And I brought you a change of clothes, toiletries, snacks. Thank you. It completely slip my mind.

[ Elevator bell dings ] Um, call me the minute you need me. Both: Okay. Alright? Hey, mom. Yeah? What snacks? They’re not for you. I mean, for two. Hello there. Oh. Oh, hi. Hi. So… by any chance, have you seen sonny around? I, uh, I know he’s waiting on word. I have not seen sonny, but I did hear that dante made it through surgery and he’s in the icu. Excellent. Excellent. I take it you’re representing sonny’s associates who are in custody? I am. Yeah. Yeah, and I’ve got to update him on the situation, so I’ve got to go find him. Excuse me. Not so fast. Where do you think you’re going? When we found dante, someone had already given him first aid. They had elevated his legs, wrapped a sweatshirt around him as a pressure bandage. There was also a phone lying next to him with a line to 911. Hold on, s-so the person that — that shot dante also tried to help him? Yes, and they were also risking being recognized because dante could have seen their face. It looks that way. None of this makes any sense. Why would he shoot dante and then call 911? Maybe he didn’t want to go down for killing a cop. Wait, hold on. There’s another — another possibility here. What if… the shooter helped dante… because he knows him?

[ Monitor beeping steadily ] Dad! Hey. Hi. Hi. Oh! How are you? I’m fine. Only damage was to my coat. Because you’re — you’re lucky. You’re not bulletproof. How you doing?

[ Exhales sharply ] Frantic at first. When mom first called to tell me about dante, it was like… okay, now, isn’t this too much stress for the baby? Honestly, the way I see it, with this family, the sooner this baby learns to handle stress, the better, right? How you doing really? You know… it’s interesting how your body reacts to stress when you know it’s bad for the baby, right? And also pushing the stress down could make it worse, so… I don’t know, dad. I’m just doing a lot of breathing. I bet you are. But dante’s doing better and… seeing you helps. Right back at you. You take care of yourself, okay? Of course. How is my son? Mr. Falconeri is in critical condition, but his vitals are stable. Do you know when he’s gonna wake up? It’s too soon to say. Okay. You’re his parents. You go in first. Go ahead.

[ Sniffles ] Hey, son.

[ Crying ] We’re here.

I’ve — I’ve got to go find sonny. Not until you tell me why you’ve been avoiding me. I haven’t really been avoiding you. I just had a feeling that… perhaps you weren’t too thrilled with me right now. Did we have some sort of a knock-down drag-out fight that I’ve blocked out? ‘Cause I’ve been sober for a while now, and I think I would have known. No, no. I just know that you wanted me to represent finn in the malpractice case. And not only was I not able to do that, I was the plaintiff’s attorney, and I just feel that perhaps you’re a little… unhappy with me. What is wrong with you? It’s me you’re talking to you. I haven’t been disbarred for that long. I know how lawyers work. I know what they do, and you were doing your job. It’s not personal. I’m glad to hear it. If you were worried about this, why didn’t you talk to me? I know. And normally, I would have. Normally, I wouldn’t have thought twice about that. But this is finn we’re talking about, and I know he’s important to you. And you’re important to me as well. What I was really disappointed in was that I couldn’t represent him. Ah. And I do miss mopping the floor with you in court.

[ Laughs ] Yes, mop– mopping. I don’t think that word means what you think it means. Anyway, uh, if you ever did mop the floor with me, it certainly wasn’t as often as you seem to think. Oh, I know exactly how often it was, which is why I miss it. Yes, well, I miss going toe-to-toe with you as well, but jurisprudence’s loss is journalism’s gain. Well, journalism is about to experience another devastating loss. Sonny and selina were having a perfectly harmless, perfectly legal conversation when anna burst in with the fbi, guns blazing like some kind of raid. How terrible! Yeah, tell me about it. Well, that must have been frightening. I guess it was a little. So what were you doing there? I thought I could be of some use. Honestly, ava, what were you thinking? I had to be there. I was tired of sitting on the sidelines worrying that avery might end up as collateral damage or that sonny might… …that avery might lose her father. Okay, so what was this active role that you were playing? We had to sell the idea that sonny and selina were meeting with a mediator to settle their business conflicts. And how are you, the mother of one of sonny’s children, an impartial mediator? Well, I used to be in… you know, I used to be in t-that world, you know, so… yeah. …So who better, right? Well, I guess. There’s no way to know if it would have worked anyway because the cops showed up and that was that. Well, I can sort of see why you did it, but what if — if something had gone wrong, ava? Which it kind of did. You could have gotten shot too! Or…killed! Yeah. I guess… I guess I could have been. I mean, anybody could have been. We all had to duck for cover. I’m glad you weren’t! I don’t know what I would do if I lost you.

[ Exhales sharply ] Oh. Aww. Look, I appreciate you coming back, dex. It’s a good thing you did, because you — you might have saved dante’s life. Not alone. Joss did just as much as I did. Well, honestly, I think the only reason dante was still alive when we got there is because of the pressure bandage. And the only reason he was able to even get to the hospital is because that person dialed 911. Isn’t it possible that whoever helped dante had nothing to do with the shooting, and maybe they were a good samaritan, and they just had their own reasons for not wanting anyone to know they were there? We left the pier as soon as the paramedics took dante away, but chase and the cops were there collecting evidence, and so they have the cellphone and the sweatshirt that was used as a bandage. Maybe it’s enough to track this guy down.

[ Footsteps approaching ] I’m gonna need you to lift your shirt.

[ Exhales sharply ] Okay. Yeah.

[ Groans ] Oh, I’m sorry.

[ Exhales sharply ] I’m sorry. I just — I… I’m gonna have to clean it.

[ Breathlessly ] It’s okay. Mm! I don’t want it to get infected. I just want to get it clean. Okay. Here.

[ Gasps ] I think it’s clean. Okay.

[ Exhales sharply ] How? How are you here? Jason?

[ Exhales sharply ] I wish I could call my mom and ask her how to help you with — no, no. Do not. Do not call bobbie. No. No. I can’T. She died.

[ Sighs heavily ] Bobbie’s dead?

[ Sobbing ] Yeah.

[ Knocking ] Anna: Police! Open the door.

[ Pounding ]

Yes, we saw him. He saw us, but we didn’t speak. He was with olivia and sam. They were all waiting outside the trauma room while dante was in surgery. Well, it was good of you to come to the house and tell sam and olivia what happened. I’m glad they got to see him. One last time? I can’t even think about it. I cannot think about rocco losing his father. I can’t think about avery and donna losing their big brother. But we all know that this could happen. And, yes, dante is a cop and he takes risks, but… we have to be honest here. This would not be happening if it wasn’t for sonny.

[ Sniffles ]

[ Sniffles ]

[ Crying ] Well… well, I’m obviously appalled. I can’t say that I’m surprised. Thanks! You always know just what to say. Yes, I do. Now, while a publisher certainly has the right to overrule an editor in chief when it comes to hiring individual journalists, this seems like a breach of trust. Yeah. Nina is all about trust.

[ Scoffs ] Alright, so an editor in chief has the right to determine who does and does not work for the papers. Right. And if she had recommended a columnist, I could decide whether or not to hire said columnist. That would have been one thing. But that’s not what happened. No. She made a unilateral decision. There was no collaboration. So what are you going to do? I’m going to not think about this right now, and I’m going to concentrate on my daughter and helping her through this crisis. Of course. Of course. Your family always takes first priority. But just so you know, you have a right to bitch about the… boss.

[ Chuckles ] So, bro… …opening day is… right around the corner, and I know you’re not going to miss that. Especially since it’s the yankees’ year. You know, I was — I was at the pub the other day, and the game was on. This one bartender is a huge sox fan, and we were joking around back and forth for a while. And by the end of the game, I found myself rooting for them. And I thought… “man, my brother is gonna kill me.” See, since you’ve been in here,

[Voice breaking] It’s like the whole world’s upside down. I’m so worried about sonny. I know that my marriage is not in [Scoffs] The best shape right now, but I love him, ava. I love him, and I don’t want anything to happen to him. And whoever’s out to kill sonny, I am terrified that he might succeed. And I don’t — I don’t want to have to worry about you too. Oh, you don’T.

[ Chuckles ] No! Rest assured, after this little misadventure, I’m laying off any derring-do for the foreseeable future. Okay? Oh, good. This is insane, right? I mean, I know that sonny has enemies. But this? Well, for what it’s worth, I think we’re getting closer to the truth. Wait. Does sonny know who’s behind this? Do you? No. I swear. Some idea then, ava? Come on. I need to know who is trying to kill my husband.

[ Pounding ] Carly, open the door. Big house, other entrances. Let’s try one. Yeah. Hey, what’s going on? May we come inside? Uh, not until you tell me what’s going on. You’re aware that dante was shot earlier this evening? Yes. We’re pursuing a suspect. Okay. Well, what does that have to do with me? I will explain. Maybe we come inside? Yeah.

[ Door closes ] Anna: I believe you’ve met my colleague, federal agent cates? Yes. Hello, agent cates. Ms. Spencer. Okay. What’s this about a suspect? You might want to sit down, carly. Why? What’s going on? Does something happened to one of my kids? No, no. Well, not as far as I know. No, it has nothing to do with your children. Then why do you want me to sit down? Jason morgan is alive.

[ Monitor beeping steadily ]

you know moreabout this than you’re saying. If I had anything concrete to tell you, I would. But I’m open to hearing theories. Well… you know, theories are just as good as random guesses right now. Just when we think we have a picture, new pieces appear and the pieces don’t fit. Wait. You mean, sonny and you? And selina wu. You know, I — I can sort of understand why sonny is not telling me any of this, but I would think that you’d realize how important this is to me. Even when things were good between you and sonny, he — he kept you out of his business dealings, didn’t he? Yes, he did. But you’re not in the business anymore. Well… I was. I know how it works. I know the players. Now, I know that it wouldn’t make sense for sonny to confide in me about anything else, but in this particular circumstance, nina, I’m — I’m a resource. I know this has got to be very frustrating. It’s got to be frustrating to feel like you’re on the outside looking in. But believe me, you do not want to be on the inside of this. This isn’t just about me feeling excluded, ava. Do you understand that sonny is my husband? He needs me, whether he wants to admit that or not, and I can’t even support him through this! Oh, you’re right. He needs as many people in his corner as possible. Then tell me what’s going on, and stop playing switzerland. Come on! The last thing I am right now is neutral. Then why won’t you help me with my husband? Diane: Your guards are not under arrest, either federal or local for now. Thank you for doing that. You’re still gonna have to answer some questions, make a statement. I cannot imagine agent cates is going to give you reprieve beyond tomorrow morning. Agent cates can wait till hell freezes over. My priority is my son. How is dante? He’s pale, defenseless… but he’s a fighter, you know? Sometimes that’S… not enough. Oh, come on, sonny. Come on. After everything he’s been through, dante’s not gonna give up on this life. Thank you. How are you? You know me, diane. I just want to find out who did this… and take care of the situation. And I’m not saying that you’re wrong… but you want me to let go of my anger for the sake of the family and because it’s not doing me any good. Right? Look, what I was going to say is that sonny knows that he played a part in what happened to dante, and, josslyn, that’s got to be killing him. I know that it’s his son, michael. Okay? But I have trouble feeling sorry for him when we constantly have to see the people we love get hurt. Something I’ve really started to learn since becoming a nurse… for a lot of people, it’s more bearable to be angry than it is to be afraid. So while you have every right to be angry with sonny, maybe it’s also a way to feel less afraid for dante. Yeah. Um…

[ Sniffles ] There was a moment on the pier with dante where… his heart stopped beating and we couldn’t get a pulse. Dex was doing the chest compressions. I was doing the rescue breathing. But he was shot in the chest, and there was this voice in my head that was saying… “what if you’re doing it wrong?”

[ Voice breaking ] What we’re the people who killed him? Carly: Is this some kind of a joke? Jason died in greece. That’s what we thought, yes. However — no. Stop. You don’t get to do that, anna. You don’t get to show up my house in the middle of the night and tell me that jason’s alive. I’ve been grieving him every day for the past two years. Yes. So do you have proof? If so, I want to see it. If not, get the hell out of my house. We have proof. Can we show you? That was taken earlier this evening on the roof of a warehouse at 257 water street. We confiscated it from somebody I believe you know — damian spinelli. Are you sure? You’re 100% sure that spinelli took this tonight? Within the past four hours, yes. And it’s real? Jason’s alive? Yes, and with your permission, we’d like to search the house for him.

After everything that we’ve been through… been through a lot… we’re friends, right? No friend — and it’s true, there haven’t been many…

[ Both chuckle ] No friend has been as loyal and generous to me as you have. Then help me with sonny. Have you signed the divorce papers? No, I can’t bring myself to even look at them, much less sign them. Good. Good. Don’T. No problem on my end, but sooner or later, sonny’s gonna insist. Don’t worry about that. We’re gonna come up with a plan. And what plan would that be? I’m gonna help you save your marriage. That would be amazing. I just hope it’s not too late. Why would you think it’s too late? I’m just afraid that the longer that sonny and I are apart, his feelings for me are… gonna f-fade… that he’s gonna force himself to forget what we have together. Or worse — he’s gonna decide to… move on with someone else. Well… we just can’t let that happen.

[ Both laugh ] Hey. Hey. Any changes? No. I wish. I wish. I, um… I just felt like I needed to stretch my legs a little. I’m feeling pretty useless in there. It helps him to know that you’re here. Yeah, I know. You look beat. Thanks. Do you want me to…? I’ll stay here. You can go home, get rest. No, no, no. I’m not leaving him. Sonny, why don’t — you’ve been here all night. Why don’t – why don’t you go home and get some rest? Nah, I think I’m gonna stick around for a while.

[ Amelia crying over baby monitor ] Thank you. Oh, I’d better handle that before amelia wakes wiley. Can I come with you and give my niece a hug? Of course you can. You know, my sister’s crazy about you. The feeling’s mutual. But you’re not sure you’re gonna stay. It’s not about what I want, it’s about what’s best. For who? For joss. You tried to tell me months ago, and you were right. Our lives are just too different, and… the best thing I can do for joss is to leave and stay gone. You want to search my house for jason? We do, yes. I — I just found out that he’s alive. I don’t even know if I believe you. I don’t know that spinelli gave you that footage. I don’t even know if it’s real. Well, jason is familiar with this house, right? The physical layout, the security system? Yes. So it’s possible that he slipped inside without your knowledge. You’re not searching my house! You don’t have my consent. You don’t have my permission. And if you don’t get the hell out of my house, I’m gonna call my lawyer. We asked as a courtesy, ms. Spencer. We don’t need your permission. We have a warrant.

[ Dramatic music ]

Steffy: I am so sorry, finn. There’s just so much to process, you know, so much. But… I reacted. I mean, she came right at me. I did it to save myself.

Finn: I know, I know. Okay, and I just… I think my emotions need to catch up. I’m exhausted and this day has been endless.

Steffy: So, are you gonna sleep at the hospital again?

Finn: No. I wanna come home.

Steffy: Yeah.

Poppy: You two make such a great couple. Don’t you agree, zende?

Zende: They sure are something.

Rj: Sorry, I just missed you.

Luna: No, you have– you have nothing to be sorry about.

Rj: Is everything okay? You seem a little off.

Luna: I just realized I’m not good at this. I can’t do it.

Rj: What are you talking about? What do you mean you’re not good at this?

Poppy: Luna’s always been shy about expressing affection in public. But, um, sweetie, pda’s are unavoidable when a couple loves each other as much as you two do.

Rj: Yeah, and you know, the last thing I want you to be is uncomfortable. Do you want to go someplace more private? Maybe my place?

Luna: Uh, yeah, I’d love to.

Rj: Okay, I got a meeting in the cutting room, but I’ll meet you downstairs in ten.

Luna: Okay, I’ll be there.

Rj: Okay. See you.

Poppy: Bye. You were going to tell him, weren’t you?

Luna: I hate having this secret between us.

Poppy: Okay, but, luna, if you tell rj that you accidentally slept with zende, you will lose him.

Zende: She’s right, luna. You have to be very careful of what you stand to lose, or gain, if you decide to go down this road.

Hope: Ah, good, we’re alone.

Steffy: I had a cleaning crew specializes in, um…

Finn: Yeah.

Steffy: I just wanna put this behind us. I really do. I want this house to feel like your home again.

Finn: And I want that, too. At bombas, we’re obsessed with socks.

Poppy: Aren’t you worried? I can’t think of anything else.

Zende: Isn’t that why you have your magic mints? Take the edge off?

Poppy: I am fully aware that I am the reason why luna is in this awful situation. I just wish I kept better track of my mints that evening.

Zende: Yeah, I wish you had, too. Did I want to be with luna? Yes, I don’t deny it, but not the way it happened.

Poppy: I am terrified that luna will tell rj about being with you and she will lose that happiness that she found. Forever.

Luna: I hope you know how much our relationship means to me, and I’d never knowingly do anything to jeopardize it.

Rj: Hey, I’m in this for the long haul. You know that.

Luna: I hope so.

Rj: Is everything alright? Hey, you know what? I’m sorry. We don’t have to talk about that if you don’t want to. You know me. I’m right here to help whenever you need me. But… I do have an idea for something that we can do together that might be the solution to all your problems.

Luna: Yeah? What’s that?

Rj: Night swim?

Thomas: Hey, when you saw steffy earlier, how’d she seem?

Hope: Well, you know your sister. She’s putting on a brave face. Obviously, she’s horrified that she took a life, even if it was in self-defense. And the fact that it is her husband’s birth mother just adds to the guilt.

Thomas: Yeah, sorry. I don’t– I don’t have a lot of patience with finn’s torment over sheila’s demise. I mean, has he forgotten that sheila shot him and his wife, my sister, and left them for dead? Or– or– or the fact that she broke into their house and could have killed his wife? I mean, steffy could be dead right now because of sheila.

Hope: Of course, finn understands that, thomas. But sheila was still his birth mother, I mean, like it or not, there is a connection there. One that finn doesn’t even understand. And you can’t just wish it away. Sheila’s dead because of steffy and that’s hard for him to absorb. So, I just– you know, I just told steffy to try to understand her husband’s feelings.

Steffy: Here you go.

Finn: Thank you.

Steffy: I’m really glad that you’re home. I’m glad that you want to be here despite everything that happened.

Finn: And everything that I love is in this house. You, the kids, my surfboard.

[ Finn sighs heavily ]

Steffy: You look tired.

Finn: Well, like I said, it’s been a long day.

Steffy: Yeah.

Finn: Where are the kids?

Steffy: Kelly is with liam and hayes is with grandma li. It does give us a night to ourselves. It gives us a chance to reconnect. We need it.

Finn: I know. I’m here.

Zende: Can you bring in those swatches on your way into work tomorrow? Okay. All right, awesome. Thank you. There it is again. Don’t you have somewhere to be? I’m trying to work.

Poppy: Well, excuse me if I’m concerned about my daughter.

Zende: I am too, but there’s nothing that we can do at the moment. Except to keep encouraging her not to tell rj what happened with me by mistake. What? I care about luna and her happiness. I wish she had found it with me, but that’s not how things worked out. Rj is the lucky winner.

Poppy: You talk a good game, I’ll give you that. Not the reason I’m concerned.

Zende: Look, I am not plotting to come in between luna and rj, if that’s what you’re afraid of. However, if he’s stupid enough to lose her or to push her away, I will be there to pick up the pieces. Count on it.

Poppy: Easy there, tiger. Don’t get your hopes up. The only thing that can come between them is if luna tells rj about what happened with you. And I’m going to make sure that she doesn’T. And not to protect herself, but to protect you and your family. Especially your relationship with rj.

Rj: Do you trust me?

Luna: You know I do.

Rj: Well then I’m telling you a night swim is exactly what you need.

Luna: I mean, I’ve never been in the ocean after dark.

Rj: It– it’s a first. That’s even better. Come on!

Luna: I don’t know, rj.

Rj: Listen, I’ll be right there with you. The whole time. Hm? It’ll be fun. Maybe, you know, it’ll take your mind off of whatever’s been bothering you.

Luna: I love how you’re always looking out for me.

Rj: Well, you know, it’s– it’s my job, so… no, come on, what do you say? A night swim always clears my mind. Maybe it’ll do the same for you. And you left your swimsuit here. Wait, do you hear that? I– it’s the ocean. It’s the ocean. It’s calling your name.

Luna: Okay, fine, let’s do it.

Rj: Yes, let’s do it. Come on.

Thomas: You and steffy didn’t get into a fight or anything, did you?

Hope: No. But she wasn’t exactly receptive to me either, which is fine. She’s going through a lot right now, but so is finn. And that was the only point I was trying to make.

Thomas: I’m guessing steffy isn’t exactly receptive of finn’s grief over sheila.

Hope: No. But she also just can’t brush it under the rug and dismiss it. I mean, his feelings are valid. Sheila gave birth to him.

Thomas: Yeah.

Hope: Steffy killed her, and so, obviously, there is going to be a conflict there. I just hope that they can treat it with understanding and compassion.

Thomas: Did you say that to steffy?

Hope: I tried. I’m not sure my delivery was the greatest. Um, and quite frankly, I don’t think steffy even really wanted to hear it coming from me. But, I don’t know, I just– sheila’s death, I really do worry, might create some problems in their marriage.

Steffy: You have no idea how much I needed this.

Finn: I think I have an idea.

Steffy: I love you so much. Never forget that.

Finn: No, I never do. I love you too. More than– more than anything, sorry.

Steffy: No, no, no, don’t be. You’re exhausted. So, how about this? Why don’t you just rest up a bit? I’ll hop in the shower and wake you up with a kiss when I’m back, okay?

Finn: I love the sound of that. Hm.

[ Finn sobbing ] (Vo) for over 50 years

[ Zende sighing ]

Rj: Wow. Wow. God, you look amazing.

Luna: You make me feel amazing.

Rj: Come on, you don’t need me for that. You know how special you are. You are beautiful. Inside and out. And you are sweet and you are funny. You’re one of the most honest people I’ve ever met.

Luna: I don’t ever want to do anything to disappoint you. Or not see love in your eyes whenever you look at me.

Rj: It’ll never happen.

Luna: No, I mean it, rj. I mean, you mean everything to me. I can’t imagine my life without you.

Rj: Don’t even think about it. I’m not going anywhere.

Luna: You know, I’m gonna hold you to that.

Rj: Okay.

Luna: In fact, I think I’m just gonna hold you.

Hope: Steffy and finn love each other. They have a wonderful marriage, a beautiful family. And for sheila to cause problems for them, even beyond the grave, is unacceptable. They can’t let her win. I mean, now’s the time that they have to really become devoted to each other. Listen to each other. Or try to act with– with compassion and understanding. And… I just– I don’t know, that’s– that is what I was trying to tell steffy, but she was not ready to hear it. Or at least she did not want to hear it from me.

Thomas: I love how much you care. It shows the kind of kind and compassionate person you are. However, I don’t really wanna spend the rest of the day talking about steffy and finn if we don’t have to. Love always finds a way, right? And they love each other. So, it’s gonna be okay. I mean, look at us. Found a way somehow for us and I will always love you.

Sheila: I love you so much, baby. My son.

[ Echoing ] Son.

Steffy: No. No. No.

[ Steffy and sheila grunting ]

Finn: NO.

Sheila: No, stop.

Finn: Stop, stop.

[ Sheila gasping ]

Finn: No, stop, stop. Stop. Stop, stop.

Sheila: Finn, help me.

Finn: Stop, stop, stop. Stop. Stop. Stop.

Steffy: Finn? Finn, what– what happened? Baby, what happened?

Finn: She was just here– she was– sheila and I saw the– uh, I saw everything. I just saw the knife and the blood. And I saw the– the… I saw everything that happened and– and– and she was– my name and she was– she was– she was– she got– I couldn’t help her.

Steffy: Baby, baby, hey.

Finn: I couldn’t help her I couldn’t save her and I… I just– I just, I…

Steffy: Baby, you were sleeping, okay? Hey, hey. Breathe. Breathe, okay? Breathe. I’m here. You fell asleep on the couch. You had a nightmare. You’re safe. You’re safe now. Oh, god, I hate you’re so tortured by this. But we’re gonna get through this, okay? You and me, like we get through everything. I love you, okay? It’s okay. It’s okay.

Steffy goes to take a shower while he naps on the couch. They have the night to themselves while the kids are away. Finn has a nightmare about Steffy stabbing Sheila. He wakes up, yelling. Steffy runs to him to comfort him.

RJ and Luna kiss at the office, too, while Poppy and Zende watch. Poppy admires them. RJ notices that Luna doesn’t seem to be acting like herself. She’s about to tell RJ the truth about sleeping with Zende when Poppy intervenes, saying that Luna doesn’t like PDA. RJ buys it, and they arrange to meet at his place. Luna really wants to be honest with RJ, but once again, Poppy and Zende urge her not to, or she’ll lose RJ. Zende makes a snide remark to Poppy about her mints, and they have a short discussion. He makes it clear that he’ll replace RJ in a heartbeat if he can, but she thinks that Luna and RJ are too much in love.

RJ and Luna go for a night swim at his place. Luna isn’t sure that she should, but he talks her into it.

Thomas asks Hope how Steffy seemed when she saw her earlier. Hope tells her that Sheila is horrified and feeling guilty. Thomas doesn’t feel much sympathy for Sheila, or Finn’s grief. Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Theresa goes to visit Tate and asks how he’s holding up. Tate swears that he’s barely holding on. Theresa mentions hearing that Brady spoke to Nicole. Tate complains about Holly not remembering anything from that night. Theresa encourages that they are not giving up and will clear his name. Tate was so sure that Holly would tell the truth that he did not give her those drugs. Theresa points out that his family believes him. Tate complains that he’s still stuck here with no way out and asks what he’s going to do. Theresa responds that she has a plan.

Eric goes to the DiMera Mansion where Nicole answers the door. Eric welcomes her back and hugs her. Eric asks about Holly. Nicole says she’s very excited for his visit but notes that she’s a little upset that she can’t remember anything about New Year’s Eve. Nicole adds that Holly is on the mend and getting stronger every hour. Eric calls that fantastic and asks how Italy was for her. Nicole says she was mostly back and forth between the hospital and her hotel room. Nicole asks about his photography business. Eric says it’s great and picking up but his main focus has been on parenthood. Eric tells Nicole that he’s really happy to see her.

Leo goes to Sloan’s apartment. Sloan says she’s going to regret this but she’s desperate for a babysitter and he’s her last resort. Sloan says she went through every contact in her phone, Eric’s family, and the neighbors but no one else was available. Leo talks about coming prepared. Sloan says she’s going to meet a new client and will hopefully be back in a few hours before Eric gets home. Leo reminds her that he doesn’t work cheap. Sloan remarks that he’s been draining her dry for weeks as she then exits.

John and Steve go over a map of the prison as Ava calls her cousin Angelo, asking if he can make this happen as Tripp doesn’t have much time. Ava says she owes him big as she hangs up. John tells Ava that he’s sorry this situation has put her in this position. Ava says so much for vowing to never work with her family again. Steve asks if they are in then. Ava confirms that Angelo and his team will do their part. Steve asks what it cost her.

Nicole brings Eric to see Holly. Holly excitedly hugs him and says she’s so glad he’s there. Eric says he’s so happy to see her awake as they were pretty scared for awhile. Holly can’t believe she was out for two months. Eric encourages her being on the mend. Nicole says Sarah ran tests, so Holly is on track. Eric calls her their little miracle.

Tate asks what Theresa’s plan is. Sloan arrives and introduces herself to Tate. Theresa reveals that Sloan has agreed to take over Tate’s case. Tate asks what happened to Justin. Theresa says that Justin is knee deep in defending Xander from attempted murder charges and he’ll help later if he can so she went outside of the Kiriakis family because she wants to get Tate home to his family where he belong as soon as possible. Sloan states that they plan to take a somewhat novel approach.

Ava says her family is doing this as a one time favor, but if it comes back to bite her, she’ll deal with it when the time comes. John says they need the connections to get inside the prison. Steve declares that whatever it takes, Tripp and Wendy have to be saved. Ava says that Angelo and the family are only one part of the plan while it’s up to them to take care of the rest.

Jude wakes up crying so Leo goes to get the bottle of formula to feed him but that doesn’t work so Leo takes his temperature and finds that he is fine. Leo then realizes he may have to change the diaper.

Tate tells Sloan everything that happened on New Year’s Eve. She asks if he can remember any small detail that he may have left out but Tate assures that’s everything. Theresa asks if Sloan thinks she can help. Sloan says she does but thinks they should go over the challenges first. Sloan says that EJ’s case is multi-circumstantial but it doesn’t help that Tate delayed calling for help or lied to a police officer at first. Theresa argues that Tate was scared, confused, and just trying to help Holly. Sloan says she understands but the question is if the jury will understand if it goes to trial.

Nicole says she has to go schedule Holly’s next appointment and tells Holly and Eric to keep talking as she exits the room. Eric tells Holly about visiting her in the hospital every day and praying until Nicole took her to Italy. Holly asks if anyone else was there. Eric says there was pretty much everyone at some point. Holly feels she has a lot to catch up on. Eric brings up Nicole saying she’s having trouble remembering what happened on the night she overdosed. Holly confirms that. Eric asks if she thinks maybe someone slipped drugs in her cup. Holly supposes it’s possible but claims she doesn’t know. Eric points out that Holly would play with her hair when she got nervous or afraid that she might get in trouble. Holly calls that a long time ago. Eric questions what Holly isn’t telling him.

John, Steve, and Ava go over the prison map. Ava goes over their list of supplies and says everything is in order. John says he and Steve will handle transportation. Ava adds that Angelo will have a plane prepared for immediate flight. Steve thinks they are ready to go. Ava declares that tonight, they break in to prison.

Leo successfully changes Jude’s diaper and then picks him up to rock him to sleep while telling him a story. Leo tells the story of delivering Jude on the side of the road and how his mother got to hold him briefly. Leo says he doesn’t know how the story ends but assures that Jude will always be protected. Leo gets emotional at Jude smiling.

Holly tells Eric that New Year’s Eve is all just a blur and she really wishes she could remember what happened. Holly asks how Jude is doing. Eric shows her some pictures as Nicole rejoins them. Eric mentions Jude’s upcoming Christening and wanting Holly and Nicole to both be there. Nicole says if Holly’s doctors say it’s fine then she can come. Holly assures that she can’t wait. Eric says he hasn’t made an official date yet but it will be a small family gathering with a reception at the Brady Pub. Nicole offers to hold the reception here at the DiMera Mansion. Eric feels it’s too much to ask but Nicole insists that she’d love to, especially since he held the date for them. Eric says the Pub is fine but Nicole and Holly disagree. Eric then admits that he doesn’t think Sloan would be on board. Nicole asks if he’s sure, arguing that they are both parenting and working full time so it would be a huge load off for someone else to plan it. Nicole adds that closing the Pub would take away business from Roman. Holly insists it would be really cool to hold it here. Nicole adds that Holly wouldn’t have to leave home while recovering and insists that she would really like to do this for him. Nicole suggests maybe it could help make things right between her and Sloan. Eric then agrees that it’s a great offer and he will let Sloan know.

Tate questions if Sloan thinks this is going to trial. Theresa argues that it cannot go to trial. Sloan says that’s her hope but EJ is district attorney. Sloan says she’s beaten EJ before and negotiated plea deal but this case is personal to him. Tate argues that they just need to get Holly to tell the truth. Sloan says it will be very hard to prove Tate’s innocence unless Holly admits it was her drugs. Theresa encourages going after Holly for that but Tate argues that she is his friend. Theresa questions if a friend would let him go down for a crime he didn’t commit. Sloan says she will pursue every angle but does think they should consider another option which Theresa questions. Sloan suggests she could offer a plea deal which could be a light sentence and before he knows it, he’d be free to go home. Tate argues that he doesn’t want a plea deal or a light sentence because he did nothing wrong and tried to stop Holly from doing drugs.

John and Steve decide it’s time to go. John says he will get the supplies while Steve says he will get the unmarked vehicle to transport Clyde out of prison. Ava says she will meet them at the airfield. Steve reminds John that they need to stop by the office for that special equipment which Ava questions. Steve says it’s everything they need to interrogate Clyde about Tripp and Wendy’s location. John says they will make it look like they are busting Clyde out but Steve reveals they’re not really going to let him go which Ava disagrees with.

Leo dresses up as a rapper and raps the ABCs for Jude. Eric comes home and applauds him. Eric asks if he’s alone and where Sloan is. Leo informs him that she’s out with a client. Eric realizes that Leo is babysitting and reveals that Sloan didn’t tell him that she called Leo or else he would’ve been there. Leo assures Eric that Jude has been fed, burped, and changed. Jude laughs which Eric acknowledges as Leo says they’ve had a connection ever since he came in to his life. Leo tells Eric that he has a special baby boy.

Nicole and Holly plan the reception for Jude’s Christening. Holly says she will be in charge of music, joking about Nicole being a Billy Joel fan. Nicole says it will be so great to have a celebration since there’s been so much sadness lately. Nicole talks about Eric’s pictures of Jude being adorable. Holly tells her to try not to go there. Nicole says sometimes those feelings come flooding back about what happened to her little brother and to Holly. Holly says she’s back now. Nicole cries that she doesn’t know what she would’ve done if she lost her as they hug.

Theresa tells Tate that Sloan went to make a call to get the ball rolling. Tate doesn’t get why they have to plea guilty when he’s innocent. Theresa calls it a tactic to get him out sooner because EJ will drag this out. Tate argues that Holly could come around and tell the truth when she remembers. Theresa says they don’t know if that’s going to happen and they can’t wait around for the possibility so they have to do whatever is best to get him out. Tate questions if Holly even knows where he is or that he was arrested, beat up in jail, and then shoved in to a halfway house. Theresa admits she doesn’t know but she will find out. Sloan then comes back and asks to speak with Theresa. When Theresa steps aside with Sloan, Tate notices that she left her phone behind. Sloan informs Theresa that she will be filing a formal complaint with the judge to try to get EJ removed from the case due to bias and not being objective. Theresa says that would be great. Sloan admits it’s a long shot but there’s a chance. Theresa comments on EJ seeming to have a strong pull with the judges. Sloan says she will need Tate to stay strong and sharp in case this goes to trial.

Ava asks if John and Steve have any idea how insane it is to try and double cross Clyde Weston. Ava questions how Steve could even think of risking Tripp’s safety like this. Steve argues that he’s doing it for Tripp’s safety. Steve asks what if Clyde takes off and doesn’t give Tripp back. Steve says he is not willing to take that risk so they will hold Clyde’s feet to the fire until he gives up Tripp’s location as that’s the only way this is going to work. Ava tells Steve that he’s out of his mind. Ava argues that Clyde is sharp as a tack and knows what he’s doing. Ava brings up Clyde’s track record since being in prison including a police detective being gunned down, the fire at the Horton house, and scattering drugs around town. Steve insists that they know what they are dealing with. Ava reminds him that Clyde has already broken in and could be listening to them right now. John says he swept the place for bugs when they first came in and assure that with their training, no one will follow them. Ava feels that’s not enough. Ava argues that Clyde will find a way to screw them if they don’t do exactly what he wants. Ava worries that if they defy Clyde in any way, he will seek revenge. Ava asks them to please just let Clyde go. Ava declares it’s the price they have to pay to save Tripp. Steve knows Clyde has been doing a number on her lately and she’s been on pins and needles for months but feels she’s not thinking clearly because she’s been under pressure. Steve argues that they can’t let Clyde go after everything he’s done to half the people in town. John agrees that they can’t let Clyde go free and had to alter the plan. Ava accuses them of being in cahoots behind her back. Steve says they will do the plan as they laid out but when they get to the airfield, they will let Clyde know that he will have to let Tripp go or the night will end very bad. John insists that Clyde won’t know what hit him.

Nicole tells Holly that she should be talking to her therapist about this instead of her since Holly’s been through enough as it is. Holly says it’s okay as she knows how hard it’s been and that Nicole has been through a lot too. Nicole talks about watching Holly in a coma every day and not knowing if she would come back to them. Nicole admits she worried about Holly not remembering anything like Abe. Nicole is grateful for all the support from EJ and Eric, saying she really leaned on them. Holly encourages that Nicole is a strong survivor all on her own. Holly states that she’d really like to not think about New Year’s Eve and what happened at the party anymore. Nicole understands and says they will leave the past where it belongs.

Theresa tells Sloan that this has been so hard on Tate, emotionally and rough for the whole family Theresa informs Sloan that she fell off the wagon but now she’s committed to her sobriety and all she cares about is being there for her son, so she doesn’t want this to damage him or mess up his future. Sloan relates to her brother Colin being locked up in prison and even though he was guilty, she still wishes she could’ve saved him from the mistakes he made. Sloan can’t guarantee the outcome for Tate but promises to do everything she can to help. Theresa thanks her. Sloan senses that Tate is a good kid and agrees to do everything they can to get him home. Tate then steals Theresa’s phone from the table while they are talking. Theresa tells Tate that she’ll see him tomorrow and let him know what Sloan finds out from the judge. Theresa encourages Tate not to be upset about Holly and to stay positive. Tate assures that he will never give up. Theresa then takes her purse and exits.

Eric talks to Leo about when he was a baby as Sloan then comes home. Sloan starts to explain to Eric but Eric says he understands Leo was babysitting and actually did a great job, getting Jude to smile and laugh. Leo thinks Jude remembers him. Sloan says that’s great but notes that they are both home now so Leo can go and she’ll just pay him but Eric suggests Leo can stick around since they don’t have any plans. Sloan says she’s sure Leo has plans but Leo says he’s free so Sloan decides she’ll get a glass of wine. Eric informs Sloan that Nicole offered to host an after party at the DiMera Mansion as an olive branch. Leo calls Nicole the sweetest and says the DiMera Mansion is the perfect venue.

Ava agrees to do it Steve and John’s way, deciding she just wants her son back and then doesn’t give a damn what happens to Clyde. Steve assures they have everything they need to handle Clyde. John declares that first, they have a prison to break in to. Steve tells Ava that they will be in touch within the hour. Steve and John then exit.

Tate pulls out Theresa’s phone and unlocks it, using his birthday as her password. Tate realizes that he doesn’t know Holly’s number and decides to try social media.

Nicole and Holly continue to plan the reception. Nicole thinks Sloan and Eric will love it and she can’t wait. Nicole says she will go get what they need and tells Holly to text her if she needs anything. Nicole then exits. Holly gets a notification on her phone and questions why Theresa would be sliding in her DMs. Holly says to herself that she has no time for her as she has a party to plan and then exits the room.

Interview with Don McLeod

TV Interview!

Actor Don McLeod - photo by Andrew Gerard on IMdB

Interview with actor/writer Don McLeod of “Fox and Hunter” and “Christmas Cab Ride” by Suzanne 2/21/24

This was kind of a funny interview because I had researched the wrong actor! There’s another actor with the same name, and I stupidly chose the wrong one. Fortunately, we had a good laugh about it. I hope you enjoy the interview! Besides being an actor and writer, he’s also a singer/songwriter and goes by the name Donny Mac.

Another good interview with Don McLeod

MORE INFO:

Actor Don McLeod - photo by Andrew Gerard on IMdBBiography

When asked “where did you grow up” Don McLeod usually answers “I haven’t yet, but I’ve been getting older in Vancouver BC”. Don admits that he fell into the film and TV industry simply by wanting to try it out. In 2010, for the winter Olympics in Vancouver, he was asked to put on a songwriting contest and the city brought in actor Graham Wardle (from CBC’s long running TV series Heartland). They became good friends and Don credits Graham for opening his mind and the door to acting as a career. Graham also introduced Don to fellow actor Jesse Hutch who would eventually become Don’s business partner.

Don soon signed with an agent and would go on to book notable roles on series such as CBC’s hit “Heartland”, The CW’s “Tomorrow People”, “Arrow” and “Frequency”, Hallmark Channel’s “When Calls the Heart”, and Netflix’s “Travelers”. Most recently, Don has appeared in NBC’s “The Irrational” and History Channel’s “Project Blue Book”.

Before becoming an actor Don had a prolific career as a recording artist, writer and record producer. As a producer and award-winning song-writer he has worked with many amazing writers and artists including; Jim Vallance, Jim Riley, Vincent DeGiorgio, Brian Howes, Sean Hosien, Dane DeViller, Dallas Smith, Danny Craig, Dale Russell, Shaun Verreault, Trevor Guthrie, and Chin Injeti, to name a few. Don has crossed over his song-writing abilities to other mediums such as commercials and Film and TV soundtracks for such popular series’ such as “Highlander”, “Heartland” and “So You Think You Can Dance”. He has shared his ability with up-and-coming artists through record production, mentoring, teaching song- writing, performance coaching & artist development.

In late 2023 he finished recording his album titled: Donny Mac “A Journey Through The Story” which was produced by Jim Riley (Rascal Flatts) and mixed by GRAMMY-winning engineer Sean Neff.

Since meeting in 2012, Don joined forces with Jesse Hutch to create Stone Rabbits Productions. Together they have written 24 film and TV scripts/concepts. Two notable projects include a feature film titled “Christmas Cab Ride” which has been green lit for production and an episodic called “Fox and Hunter”, an undercover buddy cop action comedy starring Don McLeod as John Hunter and Jesse Hutch as Blake Fox. Both are slated to film in 2024.

the daily life of high energy BLAKE FOX (Jesse Hutch), and his veteran partner JOHN HUNTER (Don McLeod), along with a full undercover unit as they are repeatedly detoured from their work by discussions, explosions, foot races, car chases, personal issues and evidence.

CHARACTER: John Hunter

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: John is a hard-edged, focussed, calculating, and efficient lone wolf. He has a mysterious and physical presence and keeps to himself. No one seems to know where he came from. He has a moral code, keeps his private life private and is definitely NOT interested in making friends. To say he’s pissed off and feels disrespected when the BOSS forces him to take a partner is a massive understatement.

When I was younger I was on multiple track and field teams, was captain of the wrestling team and wanted to be a professional athlete. I had no interest in acting or being a musician.

As much as I enjoy food and consider myself a foodie. I’m an extremely picky eater. That said, garlic mashed potatoes can be devoured almost any day. And unprocessed, home style REAL chocolate peanut butter ice cream… YES PLEASE!

April 20th 1992 I was pronounced dead after a serious car accident, then a little over an hour later discovered alive.

I have a weekly video series called “Prayer Walks”. Where I go to different locations to walk in nature, ask questions about faith, discus various challenges life has and of course pray. There are currently 72 episodes that occur in trails from Vancouver BC to Key West Florida and in-between.

To prepare for a role, I once locked myself in a warehouse and fasted for two days.

For other films and general self improvement. I trained weapons, tactics, survival and combat with military special forces operators for over 5 years.

I’ve trained in Krav Maga, Jeet Kun Do, Jujitsu, Kempo, Kali, sword fighting and knife fighting.

I went over 10 years without cooking a meal at home.

I almost never get sick. I get a sniffle for a week once every couple years.

Firefighter: Ng ]

Victoria: Oh, my god.

Firefighter: Sorry, miss, but you have to move on. You can’t be this close to the blaze.

Victoria: No, no, no, no. That’s my home.

Nikki: It was jordan. We should have known she’d go this far and yet…

Claire: Why haven’t we heard anything?

Nikki: They’ll call soon.

Claire: Fire is jordan’s weapon of choice. She told me so herself. A good fire is often the perfect solution for a bad situation. And the prison fire was successful. Why would she stop there?

Nikki: She’s pure evil.

Claire: The second she heard that victoria and I were supposedly in that house, it goes up in flames. She couldn’t wait to light that match. My aunt, the woman who raised me, who– who my whole life, she told me that she was my salvation. That it was us against the world? She couldn’t wait to burn that place to the ground with me in it.

[ Knock on door ]

Tucker: Hey, abby. Something wrong?

Abby: You actually sound concerned.

Tucker: Uh, well, if there’s a problem, then–

Abby: What game are you playing with my mom now?

Jack: Hey, thought I heard you down here. What’s got you up so late?

Ashley: I’m not sure. I won’t let me moderate to severe plaque psoriasis

Announcer: Additional sponsorship provided by…

Jack: Something bothering you?

Ashley: I was so exhausted. I mean, I didn’t even change outta my clothes. Uh, then I had the most bizarre dream. It– it woke me up.

Jack: And what was the dream about?

Ashley: I was with you and traci at the athletic club and we were arguing and you were yelling and you were so loud, but I couldn’t understand what you were saying to me. And then all of a sudden, tucker was next to me by my side.

Jack: Even in dreams, he’s a nuisance.

Ashley: Yeah, he was, uh, he was trying to tell me what you were saying. You know, he was like explaining your words and translating to me. I– I don’t know.

Jack: Well, I hope you put dream tucker in his place.

Ashley: No, I didn’t because I mean, everything he was saying was making sense to me.

Jack: Okay, I don’t like the sound of that. The logical interpretation of that dream is that for some reason, tucker, of all people, would understand the situation, any situation better than you.

Ashley: That’s the whole thing, jack. In this dream, I wasn’t myself. It was like somebody I didn’t even know.

Tucker: I’m sorry, abby. I– I really have no idea what you’re talking about.

Abby: We both know that’s a lie.

Tucker: It’s been pretty clear now for a while that things are over between your mother and me.

Abby: Clear to whom? I mean, it’s clear to me that you’re messing with her head. And that’s disgusting. My mom has honestly loved you. Not just once, but twice. She defended you. My mom saw something in you that, let’s be honest, no one else has ever seen. And what, instead of realizing how lucky you were to have her, you kept pushing her over and over and over again until she lost part of herself. What, was that to make you feel more important, more powerful? And when she finally realized there was nothing to see in you, and she got the courage to leave, you started playing these games to what, punish her? Because you realized you didn’t deserve her?

Tucker: Um… would you like to sit down?

Abby: No, I don’T.

Tucker: So, what exactly has ashley told you?

Abby: No, don’t do this. You’re not gonna put this off on me or on her. I want you to come clean for once in your life. What did you do?

Tucker: Abby… if you don’t tell me what it is that I allegedly did, I can’t answer that question.

Abby: Just stop playing this innocent, clueless guy! You have never been either of those things.

Tucker: Okay. I’ll tell you what I know. Your mother has been acting a little… strange since she returned from her latest trip to paris. And at first, I thought maybe she was the one playing games, uh, or devising some revenge scheme to get back at me.

Abby: Oh, that she’s the vengeful one now, right? Is that you projecting, tucker? Do you feel guilty? Did you do something that my mom would wanna punish you for?

Tucker: She has admitted that my version of what happened between us in paris is the correct one. But who knows? There’s a possibility that, um, she’s just pretending to be contrite to set me up for something.

Abby: Set you up for what?

Tucker: I don’t know. And to be honest, abby, I’m starting not to care. I’ve moved on.

Firefighter: We’re doing what we can to subdue the fire. But the house went up fast.

Victoria: No. No. Nothing? I mean, you can’t do anything? My whole life is in that house. Everything that my kids know and love is in that house.

Firefighter: All we can do now is keep it from spreading into the woods.

Victoria: No! Dad!

Victor: Sweetheart.

[ Victoria sobbing ]

Firefighter: It’s not safe for you to be here. I have to ask you to leave.

Victor: We understand. Thank you.

Victoria: No, this can’t be happening.

[ Sobbing, sniffling ]

Nikki: Thank god you and victoria were here. And johnny and katie are at boarding school. She would’ve let you both burn with no remorse. It’ll never be enough for her until we’re all–

[ Phone ringing ] Victor, what’s happening?

Victor: The house is burning down.

Nikki: No. Oh, no. No. God…

Victor: Nothing could be saved, okay? So victoria and i are on the way home.

Nikki: How is she?

Victor: Devastated.

[ Victoria sobbing, sniffling ] Before my doctor and I chose breztri

Nikki: It is too much. First, seth, and now this. I can’t handle it. I can’t handle it.

[ Nikki sobbing ]

Claire: Nikki, tell me how to help you.

Nikki: Talk to me about anything other than your aunt. Just start and don’t stop.

Claire: Yeah. Yes. Um, I’m thinking, um–

Nikki: Tell me something funny. Tell me something outrageous or– or– or ridiculous. Just– just something to distract me, please.

Claire: Um, at the hospital, there’s this little girl, nadia, and– and she– did you ever see her? She would come to my room for story time.

Nikki: Uh, uh, nadia, yeah. Go ahead.

Claire: Well, she’s so smart and she loved the book that victoria brought me about greek mythology. Athena is her favorite– favorite goddess. And– and she’s mine too. But you– you probably know all this.

Nikki: It doesn’t matter. Keep going.

Claire: Okay. Um, athena is zeus’s favorite daughter. And one day, nadia told me that she wanted to change her name to athena so that she could be strong and brave and everyone’s favorite.

Nikki: Smart girl.

Claire: Yeah. And when she said that, I, uh, I cried a little bit, not in a sad way, but in a way that felt like she had explained something in my heart that I didn’t– I didn’t know was there. I realized that my whole life, I– I just wanted to be someone’s favorite.

Nikki: Oh, claire. Obviously, you touched her heart too. And that is an incredible gift to be able to speak to a child in a way that they feel heard and then they wanna listen. You know, when you’re completely recovered and starting to think about what you wanna do in the world, you might wanna consider something that would allow you to work with children.

Claire: Well… I’d never thought of that. Growing up, I didn’t have any plans. My future didn’t belong to me. But yeah, I need a career or a hobby, a– a way to fill my day with something that matters. And I– I would love to work with children. Seeing something so sweet and innocent in their eyes.

Nikki: They still see the magic in the world.

Claire: Yeah. And I wanna see the magic too. I don’t wanna be so jaded and– and– and disappointed in the world all the time. Maybe working with kids could give me that and then I could give something back too.

Nikki: You definitely could, claire.

Claire: Oh, but I don’t have any training and I have a record. Who’s gonna let me near their child knowing that?

Nikki: Now, don’t sell yourself short. You have plenty to offer any employer. You’re a fast learner. You can juggle a lot of things at once, and your attention to detail is amazing. And you have the best references you could. Your family who will vouch for you and tell anybody who asks how very special you are.

Claire: Thank you, nikki. That means a lot.

[ Claire sniffling ]

Nikki: Don’t worry. We’ll find a way to make that happen.

Claire: Nothing can happen until my aunt is locked away again forever. Then, my new life can really begin.

Abby: Please god, tell me that this suitcase means you’re leaving genoa city for good.

Tucker: No, I’m just going to paris for a few days. Part business, part pleasure.

Abby: Well, it would be a pleasure for me and everyone else in this town if you just made that business trip permanent. Because let me tell you, tucker, we are so over you. All of your lies and the deceit. And this constant manipulation with my mother, I don’t think you realize the effect that it has on your son, on your grandson. So please, just pack that bag and be gone for good.

Tucker: Abby, I have stayed away from devon completely at his request.

Abby: No, it’s not enough. It’s not enough because you being in town is this constant reminder of what a disappointment of a father that you are. So please, if you have any sort of ounce of decency somewhere in you, go to london, go to paris, go anywhere but here.

Tucker: I’m curious, uh, what has prompted this outrage all of a sudden tonight? Has ashley accused me of something else? Has she done something else? Something happened?

Abby: Oh, something happened, all right. She tried to convince devon to forgive you.

Jack: It was a dream. Your subconscious churning up anxiety and fear, not reality.

Ashley: What it means is that tucker’s in my head.

Jack: Look, the last time we talked about tucker, you seemed awfully confident that you were past him, that that connection was over. I know it’s difficult to just wipe someone from your mind, but– and I know it’s especially difficult when he is present and you’re dealing with him all the time. If that man would just leave town for good, we’d be better off.

Ashley: It doesn’t even matter, jack.

Jack: It would be better than this.

Ashley: It’s not gonna happen. In spite of everybody that’s turned against him, he’s not leaving town.

Jack: Then we have to find a way to get him out of your system, to break the connection. Look, as much as I hate to say this, are you sure you want him out of your life?

Ashley: Don’t get angry with me, okay? I’m not sure. I know. I mean, there’s times when I feel like I’m sure and that I’ve moved on and then this weird shift comes over me and I don’t know, I just see tucker in a different way.

Jack: Okay. Different how?

Ashley: Like maybe I should forgive him. Like maybe I shouldn’t walk away. I could try again and give it another chance.

Bladder leak

underwear has one job.

Jack: I hate the hold this man still has on you. It’s pure manipulation, ego on his part. Just like him demanding that you cut your family off completely. He doesn’t deserve a second chance. Or your forgiveness, for that matter. What– what can I do? How can I help you break the cycle?

Ashley: You spend a lot of time looking out for me, don’t you?

Jack: No.

Ashley: I told you before, but I just– I feel like I need to deal with this one on my own.

Jack: Going it alone hasn’t exactly done the trick.

[ Ashley laughs ]

Ashley: You’re not wrong about that. Gosh. You know, I just, I don’t– I don’t know what’s going on with me, jack. I really don’T. One minute, I feel like I have completely detached from all this chaos and I know in my heart that tucker’s the worst thing in the world for me.

Jack: I’m not surprised by that. You’ve been under a lot of stress lately. You haven’t been able to regain your footing since paris. But you will. And until then, don’t be so hard on yourself. Let traci and i be there for you. You’re gonna get past this.

Ashley: I love that you believe that.

Jack: I do believe that. And you need to believe that too. Tucker be damned.

Ashley: Yeah.

Jack: Didn’t traci say you have a psychologist friend in paris who you call sometimes to get good advice from?

Aley: Yeah, I was thinking about that.

Jack: Well, it’s morning in paris right now. You could give him a call.

Ashley: That’s a good idea. And you don’t have to stay here with me. Go back to bed.

Jack: Don’t worry about me. You can’t get rid of me that easily. I have another plan.

Tucker: Ashley went to devon on my behalf?

Abby: She started by telling us that she had misinterpreted the fight that you had in paris and that she didn’t wanna do more damage to your father-son relationship.

Tucker: Really? She said those exact words?

Abby: Well, like she could do more damage than you’ve done yourself.

Tucker: And how did devon react to that?

Abby: I don’t know. Devon cares about her. But you, you are the one that ruined that relationship. So, he is not just gonna forgive you overnight.

Tucker: Sorry, I still don’t understand what you’re doing here. All worked up if nothing has changed.

Abby: Because if my mom is trying to get devon to forgive you, then she must be considering forgiving you herself. And please, if you were being honest before, if you weren’t lying and you really have moved on, then just stay away from all of us. From devon, from dominic, and my mother.

Tucker: And you, uh, you represent all of them? You speak for all of them? This is your call? A second ago you said that I shouldn’t count on devon forgiving movernight, which means that you think there’s a possibility he might forgive me in the future. Is that why you’re here?

Abby: Maybe devon will forgive you. I don’t know. I mean, I– I have encouraged him in the past to forgive you because I thought devon deserves a father. Our son deserves a grandfather. But all you do is hurt people. And if whatever’s going on with my mom, if it’s sincere, if this softening is a real thing, please don’t take advantage of it. ‘Cause I promise you, there will be hell to pay. And if my mom is planning some sort of revenge play, I support her 100%. I hope she crushes you like a bug. And if you try to pull some sleazy move on my family, mark my words, you will regret it.

Ashley: Is this the right thing? I’m scared. What? Dammit! What’s she done now? Ah, get out of my head. Can’t let this happen. Not again.

Claire: I shouldn’t have mentioned my aunt. I’m sorry. That’s not what you need right now.

Nikki: No. And it’s all right. The moment passed and jordan will be dealt with soon enough and we can all put our lives back together again.

Claire: I only ever saw photos of my mom’s house. Now, she’s lost everything.

Nikki: No, she hasn’t lost everything. She still has her most precious, irreplaceable treasures. You and all of her family. And she can buy new things and we can all recover from what jordan has put us through because we have each other. That’s how we newmans are. We protect each other no matter what.

Claire: Family.

Nikki: Yes, your family. And soon, this will all be behind you and you can put your skills to use again.

Claire: You’re really good at that. Making me feel like I have something to offer the world. But I think it’s gonna be a while before I have any kind of career.

Nikki: Well, I disagree. You’ve already made great progress.

Claire: The doctors helping me through this have been amazing. But even more than that, I feel… stronger because of the support of my new family. It has been hard to believe how kind and forgiving and generous you have all been with me. The fact that you could find a way to welcome me into your home and into your family after everything.

Nikki: Well, your aunt made that quite a challenge. But you are my granddaughter and that’s what matters the most.

Claire: Can I get you some more tea?

Nikki: Yes, please. And claire, thanks for chatting with me. It was just what I needed. I’m jonathan lawson,

Announcer: The young and the restless will continue.

Nikki: Oh, baby. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. Oh, but thank god nobody was in the house.

Victoria: I know, I know. But mom, it’s was my home, my kid’s home. Our pictures, our keepsakes, everything is just gone.

Nikki: Things. Just things. I– I know it hurts now, but thank god everybody is safe.

Claire: Mom. Oh, I’m so sorry.

Victor: Well, we all know who’s responsible. That’s one more terrible crime.

Nikki: That woman is despicable. I wanna tear her limb from limb! After everything she has done to me and my family, she deserves to rot in hell!

Claire: I know my aunt jordan. She’s feeling alone and– and desperate. That’s why this happened.

Victor: Why do you say that?

Claire: She usually takes her time. She plans her moves very carefully. She’s far more calculated than this. This is her lashing out wildly. At this point, she’s got nothing left to lose.

Nikki: That’s not good.

Claire: It does mean that she could be more dangerous than before. But it also means she could be getting sloppy.

Jack: Look what I found. The perfect late-night snack. Heard you talking earlier. Did you call your friend in paris?

Ashley: Yeah, I got his voicemail. I left him my message. I’m sure I will hear back from him soon. Very good suggestion. Thank you.

Jack: Well, sure. If it gives you a little peace, I’m happy.

Ashley: You don’t have to wait up with me though.

Jack: Don’t worry about me. You and I can sit and eat pie and talk, or we can just eat pie.

Ashley: Actually, I think I’m gonna go for a walk and clear my head.

Jack: A wa– outsi– it’s freezing out there.

Ashley: It’s brisk and the air is fresh. And it’s exactly what I need to clear my head. Okay, but don’t you eat my pie. All right? I will be back for it.

Jack: Okay. You sure?

Ashley: I’m fine. I’ll see you later.

Jack: Be careful.

Ashley: Mm-hmm.

Diane: Hey, honey. What are you doing up?

Jack: Oh, I heard ashley pacing then I heard her come downstairs. She’s in knots again about tucker. And no matter what I say, I can’t seem to help her.

Diane: Jack, I– I think it’s time to give your sister some space. She’s battling her demons, but that is something she has to do on her own.

Devon: Hey, pretty lady.

Abby: Hey.

Devon: What’s going on? I can tell by your text something’s up.

Abby: I just had it out with tucker.

Devon: What? What happened?

Abby: I needed him to know that my mom’s new attitude towards him was not gonna open any doors. And he couldn’t just say that he would stay away from her.

Devon: Hey, why would you even waste your time talking to him? He’s too self-centered to give a damn about anybody else. He is always gonna do what he wants to do. You know that.

Abby: No, I know that. But I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing. The man is so utterly frustrating. Ooh, and it just felt so good to let him have it. I wanted to make sure that he really heard me.

Devon: What did you say to him?

Abby: Well, I didn’t just defend my mom. I told them that if he hurt anyone in my family, that he was gonna have to deal with me. And he was packing for some business trip. I told him he better make it permanent because no one wants him here. He needs to stay away from my family forever.

Devon: Wow. Well, I appreciate you looking out for all of us like that, but you know, you don’t have to protect me from tucker.

Abby: Devon, I know I don’T. But he needs to know that his intrusion in our family is not gonna be tolerated. And, of course, I’m sure he twisted something that I said and– and took it as encouragement.

Devon: Why would he take it as encouragement?

Abby: Because I told him that my mom– my mom talked to you about possibly forgiving him. He got this spark in his eye. It was almost like he thought maybe he could reconcile with you and my mom. I told him that paris was just one small thing in a long line of unforgivable things. And that my mom’s request, it’s not gonna do anything. But he just seems so hopeful. Like he thought you might give him another chance.

Devon: Yeah. I’m sure he was hopeful because I usually do give him a second chance.

Abby: Please be finished with that. Don’t ever make that mistake again. Imagine if you could get ahead of your ibs-c

Devon: Yeah. I’m definitely done doing the same things over and over again and hoping for a different outcome. I’ve been down that road way too many times with tucker, and I have no interest in getting burned again.

Abby: Well, thank you for saying that. It calms me down a little bit.

Devon: He lies too much and I don’t want that energy around our family either. But it’s my turn to tell you that you need to stay clear of him.

Abby: I want nothing more than to be done with tucker mccall. But my mom has this weird connection with him and that connection is part of what keeps him tied to our family.

Devon: I know. What do you think is really going on with your mom?

Abby: I don’t know what’s going on with my mom these days. I don’t like it. Just when I thought we were over and done with tucker mccall, why is my mom suddenly drawing him back in?

Jack: Intellectually, I understand why ashley might feel she has to work this out on her own. But do you remember the last time she fell in love with him before the wedding? Denying she had any involvement with him and then suddenly totally embracing it. And nothing I could say could talk reason into her.

Diane: Of course, I remember. But a lot of that had to do with her wanting to get rid of me.

Jack: And despite all the declarations and warnings that this marriage was only going to end badly, she married him anyway. That marriage was an unmitigated disaster. And here we go again.

Diane: Well, you don’t know that for sure.

Jack: I– I hate that we’re even talking about this despicable man. How can he possibly still have that kind of a hold on my sister?

Diane: Jack, I know that you’re concerned about her, but you have got to stop worrying. I mean, you have done everything you could to help her. I mean, I even tried for what it’s worth. But now you just– you just have to let it go and– and let her make her own decisions.

Jack: Yeah, you’re probably right. It’d be a whole lot easier if she would actually make a decision. I don’t know what’s going on with her right now. One moment, she’s confused and torn, and the next, she’s absolutely fine and full control of herself. What are we supposed to do with that?

Diane: Well, I suspect your sister is just working through some things. Give it time. When she holds a grudge, she holds it tight. And I think that very soon, tucker will start to feel the power of that grip.

[ Tucker sighs ]

Tucker: Please–

Ashley: It’s the truth.

Tucker: Please stop. You can just–

Ashley: What?

Tucker: Could you please cut this crap out?

Ashley: What crap?

Tucker: The animosity you have shown me lately, it doesn’t just vanish. You’re doing one of two things. You’re either brainwashing yourself, like I said, or you’re setting me up for something. Either way, this conversation is over. Get the hell outta my room.

Ashley: Hopefully I’ll be able to convince you someday.

Tucker: Convince me of what? And what the hell difference does it make? What is it you’re after, please?

Ashley: I think you know.

Tucker: [ Laughs ] I have no idea. I’m telling you, I have no idea what this new bizarre game you’re playing is.

Ashley: I’m not playing a game.

[ Tucker sighs ]

Tucker: Oh, ashley. Ashley. Ashley. What is going on with you now?

Nikki: Now is the time for us to turn the heat up on that monster. Flush her out and turn her sick game to our advantage. We should go to the media and let them know about her heinous attack on our family and not hold back.

Victoria: We can’t publicly accuse her of being an arsonist without any proof.

Victor: You’re right, sweetheart. If we went to the press now, that would only entice her into more violent actions against our family. I mean, I knew this woman would react, but I had no idea to this degree.

Nikki: She is pure evil!

Victor: You know, I’m gonna convince her to meet with me.

Nikki: What if you do? I mean, she’s so desperate. She’ll try anything.

Victor: She’s not gonna get the upper hand with me.

Diane: You’ve been an incredibly supportive big brother, but now it’s time to let ashley work this out on her own.

Jack: I hear your point. You’re probably right.

Diane: But you don’t wanna listen.

Jack: I never wanna listen.

[ Diane laughs ] But this time I will.

Diane: Good. I’ll take it.

Jack: I’ve noticed, you know.

Diane: Hmm.

Jack: How supportive you’ve been, how far you and ashley have come.

Diane: Well, let’s not make too much of it.

Jack: No, not too much. Just enough. After everything you’ve been through, after everything she puts you through, you’ve somehow managed to rise above and take your place in this family.

Diane: Because of you. I adore you and you deserve a peaceful household. So, I will happily do my part.

Jack: I just hope this mess with tucker doesn’t throw a wrench in our peace.

Diane: Yeah, we can hope. You know, you’ve already spread yourself so thin lately. I– jack, I– I love how much you look after the people that you care about. It’s the last thing I would ever wanna change about you. But I would also love for things to get a bit better for everyone.

[ Phone rings ]

Jack: Nikki. Hey, nikki. Are you okay?

Nikki: I’m sorry for calling so late, jack. I’m having a rough time.

Jack: Uh, where are you?

Nikki: I’m at home.

Jack: Okay, I’ll– I’ll be there in half an hour. All right?

[ Diane sighs ]

Diane: Nikki needs you.

Jack: Yeah.

Diane: And before you tell me not to, yes, I’ll be waiting up. So don’t argue.

Jack: I love you.

Devon: Hey.

Abby: Mom, hi.

Ashley: Hi.

Abby: What are you doing here so late?

Ashley: I was at the lab. I got so involved in everything, I didn’t realize it was so late and I’m starving. So, I came by to get a quick bite. You wanna join me?

Abby: No, actually we have to get home to dominic.

Devon: Yeah. Rain check though?

Ashley: Sure.

Abby: Hey, why don’t you follow us home? Yeah. We can pick something up and then if we’re lucky, dominic will be awake and he can join us.

Ashley: Yeah. No, thank you. I’m just gonna eat right here. Thanks.

Abby: Are you really here for the food?

Ashley: Why would you ask me that?

Abby: Well, there’s lots of places to eat, but here, there’s tucker and food.

Ashley: Honestly, I am not here for tucker. Okay. Don’t worry about me so much. I’m fine.

Abby: Are you sure?

Ashley: I’m positive.

Abby: Okay. Well, um, don’t stay out too late.

Devon: Have a good night.

Ashley: Thank you.

Abby: Good night. Bye.

THIS STILL NEEDS EXTENSIVE EDITING!

Laura. How’s dante? Have you heard anything? Not yet. He’s still in or. But dante is in the best possible hands here. You couldn’t ask for a better surgical team. I just spoke to anna. The search for dante’s shooter is ongoing. They found a few key pieces of evidence, and they’re following up. The fbi is also involved. It’s a joint operation.

[ Voice breaking ] Okay, good. When they find the monster that did this to my son, I want them locked up for the rest of their life. The doctors are doing everything they can for dante. I know… we both know how stubborn he is. I know… he’s going to fight this. I know, I know. We just got to keep the faith.

[ Sobs quietly ] And thank you, honey, for being there for me. I-I-I would be falling apart if it wasn’t for you. But what about you? Who’s holding you up? We all are. Hi. Hey. What are you doing here? It’s — it’s late. I told you you didn’t have to come. Dante’s my stepbrother, and I’ve known him my entire life. I would be here even if I wasn’t engaged to you, but I am. I can see you’re really worried about your partner. I’m with you, chase. When you hurt, I hurt. Hey, thanks for coming so quickly. Wow. Oh. Of course, of course. Pilar took donna home with her for a sleepover. Yeah, um… um, sorry. Um, I came right over. Yeah. Dante’s still in the or, and his family is gathered at G.H., So sam asked me to watch the boys. But have you heard from sonny? No, no, I reached out, but I-I don’t want to push him and olivia, I just don’t, you know. So is there anything I can do here? How are rocco and — danny: Rocco, what the hell? You can’t just throw things because you’re mad you lost. You cracked the screen! Bill me. Hey, dan, don’t — don’t — don’t worry about the game, man. Let me — uh… yeah, we’ll — we’ll fix it or get you another one or something. I don’t care about the stupid game. Rocco’s really hurting. He doesn’t know how to deal with this. He just wants his dad. It’s impossible… both that he’s alive and working against sonny. Spinelli, who exactly did you see on that screen? I saw a dead man walking. What are you talking about?

[ Key clacks ] Oh, my god.

[ Key clacks ] It’s him. Spinelli, it can’t — it can’t be, can it? Pixels don’t lie. It’s him, isn’t it? It’s jason. It looks like jason. Yeah. Yep, that’s what I said. But it’s a picture. Any digital footage can be manipulated. Why would i believe… …that this is him?

Well, I’m sure that olivia is relieved that leo’s away with ned right now. Yeah, ned had a business trip in australia, and leo was off school, so he took him to see the great barrier reef. Oh. Now they’re on their way back, obviously, after hearing the news about dante. So it’s just rocco and danny here with you? Yeah. I’m really worried about them, carly. I mean, rocco is an emotional kid. He wears his heart right on his sleeve. Okay, what about danny? Well, danny just pretends like he doesn’t have any feelings at all.

[ Cellphone rings ] Sam. How’s dante? Uh, he’s the same. I was just checking in to see how the boys are doing. How’s danny? Well, he’s, um… he’s doing his best. He’s — he’s trying to hang in there for rocco’s sake, you know, but it’s not easy. And rocco, how’s he doing? He needs a hug. Thank you for staying there. Help is on the way. Bye. Laura, can I talk to you for a second? Of course. Can I ask you for a favor? Anything. Can you leave? Can I get you anything? When was the last time you ate? You sound like olivia. Look, I don’t need food. I need to feel like I’m doing something. I should be out there, going after whoever shot dante. But anna thinks you’re too close to the situation, and she’s right, detective. Let her handle it. You’re right where you need to be. I just feel so helpless, pacing around, not doing anything. Like, I need to feel like I’m helpful. I’m gonna go — I’m gonna go donate some blood. If dante doesn’t need it, then somebody else will. Call me immediately if you find anything out. I will. You were in law enforcement a while. I was. Were you ever in a similar situation where a partner or someone you were close to got shot in the line of duty? More than once. And it was a nightmare every time. Jason’s alive.

[ Breathes sharply ] He didn’t die on cassadine island. Clearly, he survived the tunnel collapse. How? And if he’s alive, why hasn’t he come home? I-it makes no sense. Jason would never willingly stay away from me.

[ Pounding on door ] Man: Fbi! We have a search warrant!

[ Computer beeps ]

[ Door thumps open ] That was my first thought, too, that th-this has got to be some kind of deepfake. That’s the only thing that makes sense, ava. Mnh. Spinelli verified it. It’s live footage pulled directly from the drone camera. It hasn’t been doctored, sonny. It’s real. Well, you know what? If that’s true, not only is jason alive, he was at the warehouse tonight, working with the shooter. And you were the target. Which means you — your best friend… …is now your enemy.

I don’t know why we don’t have an update yet. What the hell is taking so long? Well, it’s a complicated surgery. Not having an update isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I know, I know. But I’m going out of my mind. Ah, sam, I just want to know what’s going on in there. You know what I was thinking about — what we were talking about earlier… yeah. And you were telling me how strong dante is…

[ Laughs ] …And how much it took for him to come out of that ptsd. Oh… you know he did that. He did that for you. He came back to you. You had a lot to do with that. Well, I’m still here…

[ Sobs ] …And dante is still here.

[ Voice breaking ] And he’s a fighter. He’s not going to give up now.

[ Sniffling ]

[ Sighs ] Chase is a cop. I mean, I’ve always known that, so I’ve always known intellectually that what he does is dangerous, that he’s taking a risk every time he goes to work, but somehow, I convinced myself that he would be safe, you know, that nothing terrible would ever happen to him. But chase has always said that dante is the best cop he’s ever known. You know, smart and — and prepared. So if something like this could happen to dante, then it… you know what? Forget it. It’s about dante. This isn’t about my paranoia. Listen, you were right when you said that chase’s job carries risks. But if you have questions about that, then you really need to talk to him. Chase in no condition to deal with that right now. He’s focused on dante, and I don’t want him to misconstrue why I’m asking, you know, think that I don’t support him being a cop. I get that. You were in the line of fire, putting your life on the line while your family was home, waiting to see when — or even if — you’d ever return, so how did you make that work? Well, you just said it. It’s work. And to be completely honest with you, my relationship to curtis failed in part because I tried to compartmentalize my job from him, and it only drove us apart. Sounds like you have some regrets about that. Yeah, it’s water under the bridge now. But my advice to you is learn from my mistakes. Let chase know that he doesn’t have to shield you from the risks of his job. But at the same time, you have to be honest with him. Don’t withhold your feelings or lie about your fears by denying what you’re feeling. It’s good to see you, laura, although it would be nice if it was under different circumstances. Yeah. Any word on how dante is doing? I wish I had some news for you guys, but, uh, when I left the hospital, he was still in surgery. Okay. Well, hopefully we’ll be getting some news soon. Yeah. Thank you for coming. I’m assuming sam filled you in. I’m aware of the situation. Okay, all right. Well, that’ll make it a little bit easier. Well, drew has been with both the boys since they found out what happened to dante, and he’s been doing great, but they’re two different boys, so they have two different needs. I-I couldn’t agree more, and I’m here to help you, so, uh, may I suggest that we divide and conquer? I will talk to my grandson, and you two can focus on danny. Okay. Great, thank you. I heard your voice, grandma. Hi, sweetheart. Is my dad okay? Uh, honey, um, he was still in surgery when I left the hospital, but he has the very best team of doctors, and they’re doing absolutely everything they can. Okay, look, look, I know you’re old enough to know the truth, right? I guess the truth is that your dad has quite a fight on his hands. Agent cates. It’s a, um… honor to finally make your acquaintance. Your reputation precedes yourself. I’ve heard about you. Damian spinelli, computer genius and known associate of sonny corinthos. I-I mean, I don’t want to say “genius.” I dabble. And you are? Uh, a friend who, uh, has no idea what’s happening. In fact, she was just leaving. She’s here, so she stays. Mr. Spinelli, we found your cameras all over the warehouse at 257 water street. They were run through a lot of proxy servers, so we couldn’t get a trace, but fortunately, we were able to identify your dna on the hardware. Should’ve worn gloves. You seem like a decent guy, and someone who’s smart enough not to ruin the rest of their life on this. I have no desire to fold you into sonny’s problems, but I’m tracking a team of gunmen, and you’re the best lead I have. So if you will kindly show me what’s on that footage… you know, I-I… as much as I would enjoy cooperating with the fbi, I-I regretfully, um… I cannot help you. If the footage is real, it doesn’t make any sense. We’ve always had each other’s back. If we had a problem with each other, he’d come face to face and tell me, not shoot me from a safe distance. I know how you feel about jason. I know that he — he was like a member of your family. And that was no secret. And a lot of people knew that, right? Maybe somebody is trying to use that to their advantage. Jason would never let himself be used against me. I understand that you want to believe that. But you said it yourself… jason was there when that shot was fired at you tonight in that warehouse. So either somebody is holding something over his head or — or what, ava? Or jason chose to be there, sonny, of his own free will. You don’t know jason like I know him.

[ Voice breaking ] We’ve been through a lot. He wouldn’t do that to me. Okay. Then I guess you got to ask yourself something… why hasn’t jason come to you to warn you when he knows that those people want you dead?

Put it back. Put what back? Whatever you deleted from the surveillance footage. I’ve deleted nothing. I-I couldn’t if I wanted to. There wasn’t time. I mean, you — you’ve been here the whole time. Have you seen me do anything?

[ Scoffs ] I don’t understand how any of this stuff works.

[ Sighs ] How’d it go? Good. I was able to donate some blood, clear my head a little. I’m glad. Uh, what did I miss? Hey. How’s dante? I’m being told that the surgery is going well, but there’s a lot of damage. How much damage? Well, he has trauma to his heart and to his lungs. He also has broken ribs and sternum. But dr. Erickson and his team are making progress, and dante’s vitals, they’re good. So he still has a chance? Hey, I gotta take this, okay? Yeah. Uh, danny, can you, uh, hold up a minute? I guess. I’m not doing anything but waiting. Why? What’s up? Just wanted to check on you, see how you’re doing. I mean, I’m sure you’re trying to stay tough for rocco’s sake, but I know you’re close with dante, so this must be pretty hard for you, too. He’s rocco’s dad. I know. But he’s a big part of your life. It’s okay to admit that you’re upset and that you care. I’m fine, but I got a lot of homework, so… anyone ever tell you you’re just like your dad? So I understand there was a little incident with a video game tonight? Danny’s a jerk for whining to you guys about it. I didn’t mean to break the stupid game. No, no, danny didn’t whine about it at all — I swear to you, he just — he’s worried about you, and so am I. I’m fine. What video game were you playing? You wouldn’t know it. Oh, you might be surprised. I know more than you think.

[ Chuckles ] I’m actually something of an expert at, uh, “super mario brothers.” You are?

[ Chuckling ] Yes. Well, you know, your uncle lucky and his cousin sly used to play it all the time when they were growing up, and so one day, I decided to just have a go at it because I wanted to know why they liked it so much. And, well, I have to say, I ended up getting a little bit addicted.

[ Laughs ]

[ Chuckles ] How addicted? Well, it’s not like anybody had to do an intervention for me, but I did play a lot.

[ Both chuckle ] Yeah, I know, and then in the beginning, I didn’t know what I was doing at all, of course, but I picked it up really quickly, and I’ve actually been known to do a few speed runs.

[ Chuckles ] I kinda want to see that.

[ Laughs ] Well, maybe we should play together someday. Yeah. My dad is really good at video games, too. Maybe you can play with us once he’s better. We can talk about what’s going on with your dad if you like. I’m here to listen. I don’t think I want to. Okay, sweetie.

[ Sighs ] But, you know, I just want you to know that it’s — it’s okay to be scared right now because it’s a scary situation. Danny isn’t scared. I don’t think I would say that. Um… he may not know how to show it, but I know he’s scared. I am, too. Any more bright ideas? Yeah, but it worked, didn’t it?

[ Stammers ] And you didn’t see me do anything untoward, so you’re in the clear. Just follow my lead, and everything will be fine. Let me guess. You rigged your equipment with a kill switch just in case you got caught. Wait a minute. Huh! Hm? You’re john cates, the one who used to live in port charles. I am. Why? I-I just remembered how much my stepdad used to talk about you. He really likes you. Who’s your stepdad? Mac scorpio. You’re maxie jones?

[ Chuckling ] Yeah. Wow! It has been a long time. I’m sorry it took me so long to recognize you. Uh, mac is out of the country. Otherwise, I’m sure he would love to see you. He respects you so much. Oh, well, the feeling’s mutual. So I’m sure you can understand — growing up with mac as a stepdad, I would never do anything to impede an ongoing police investigation. So if you could just take these off and we’ll forget this ever happened?

[ Sighs ] How about this? You give mac my best and tell him that I’m sorry that I had to arrest his daughter for obstruction of justice. If it is jason, he probably has a motive, has a good reason for doing what he’s doing. Maybe he’s counting on you believing that. If jason is involved in some plot to kill you, then you giving him the benefit of the doubt, that would give him time to set another plan in motion. Until we have more information, we’re just guessing. I got to go see dante. I’ll see you. They were lying in wait for you tonight, sonny. Not so very different from what happened in puerto rico. And you said it — it has to be somebody on the inside, somebody with an intimate knowledge of — of your property and business. And who knows your operation better than jason? Ava, you’re not judge and jury! No, I know. Believe me, I don’t want jason to be guilty here. I’m just trying to figure out what’s going on. Well, that’s what I’m trying to do. It doesn’t add up. No.

[ Breathes deeply ] This mystery man behind the attacks… doesn’t he go by the name “stone”? And didn’t spinelli often refer to jason as “stone cold”? Sonny, jason never hesitated to pull the trigger when it meant protecting you. What if he’s come back, and he’s ready to use those same deadly skills and knowledge… to take you out?

You know… your dad dedicated his life to helping other people. So many people’s lives are better because of what your dad does every day. Never — never forget that. You can always be really proud of him. I am. Yeah. My dad’s the best.

[ Chuckles ] But what if… honey, we don’t know what life has in store for us. You know, sometimes bad things happen, as you know. And when they do, the only thing we control is — is how we react to them. You haven’t given up hope of your mom waking up from her coma, have you? Of course not. Okay, then how can we give up on your dad? Right? He’s getting the best possible care at general hospital. So what we need to do, the best we can do, is to stay as positive as we can while we wait for the news. And I will be here for you as long as you need me to be. I love you, grandma. I love you, rocco. So much. Sometimes my mom says I do kind of remind her of my dad. Yeah. You’re more like him all the time. Especially tonight. What — what do you mean? Can you sit? Well… …it’s not that you don’t feel things, right? You just don’t want to show your feelings. And jason was like that. You know, if he let himself react, he was afraid that he might lose control and he might hurt himself or someone else, and he didn’t want to do that, so he would just shut down, you know? And — and he would just be okay. Be the one that handled everything. There’s nothing to handle. All we’re doing is waiting. Okay. A-are you good at waiting patiently? Uh, not really.

[ Chuckles ] Neither was your father. Okay, that’s not true. Everyone says he could wait for something, no matter how long it took. Yeah, but that was discipline. I mean, jason was not naturally patient. If anything, he was just the opposite. Jason’s first impulse was to run right at something. I guess that’s why we got along so well, because that’s my first impulse, too. That does kind of sound like me. Yeah? Okay, then, well… I know what it’s costing you to sit around here and wait… …but it’s where you should be. Because whether he’ll admit it or not, rocco needs you. Thank you, dr. Robinson. Of course. Look, you heard portia — dante has a chance.

[ Sighs ] Oh, I know. I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I’m just out of my mind right now. It’s — it’s just — it’s surreal. You know, a couple of hours ago, we were eating cake and laughing at scout’s birthday party. Now, in the blink of an eye, my son is in there fighting for his life.

[ Sobs quietly ]

[ Sniffles ] I appreciate you insisting on staying with me, but it could be hours still. Go home. Get some sleep. I don’t want to leave. I know, it’s just — it’s just what? Talk to me, chase. This isn’t what you signed up for. I chose this life. I knew the risks of becoming a cop. You didn’t choose this. Look, I need you to know… that it’s not too late for you to say that this isn’t the life that you want. Dante is a good police officer and an even better man.

[ Sighs ] Being here like this, waiting for word on a cop who’s been shot… I just can’t help be reminded of another late night when another great cop was shot in the prime of his life… and he didn’t survive. Mm. You’re talking about nathan west. Well, I never got a chance to meet him, but everything that I heard — sounds like a remarkable man. Yeah. He was. And I hate that he never got to live his life with maxie, be a dad. Another hero cop gone too soon. But then again… everyone who puts on the badge and lives up to the motto is a hero in my eyes. Maxie had nothing to do with this. D-do whatever you want to me, but please leave her out of it. Spinelli, look. I appreciate you trying to save me, but if you’re going down, you’re not going down alone. Damian spinelli and i are a team. We are? Yeah. We are. And since you have no evidence against us — because you deleted the file? That’s only a temporary setback. We have experts, too, mr. Spinelli. And although it might take us a while, we will recover the footage that you deleted, and then we will follow it wherever and to whomever it leads. I know that it must be unbelievably painful to even think that — that jason might betray you, but there’s an awful lot of evidence here. Cir– circumstantial evidence. There’s no way that the man who I trusted more than anybody in the world would stab me in the back. Try not to be emotional about it. Just look at the facts, okay? Before jason left for cassadine island, there was a distance between you. Things had changed. They were tense even, right? We had disagreements before, yeah, but, I mean… maybe so, but all the evidence here, it — it leads to one conclusion… …somehow… jason survived that tunnel collapse… he’s come back to port charles to settle the score… …and you are playing right into his hands.

you’re right about one thing — I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I fell in love with a cop. I am scared to death every single day that the next call that comes in about an injured officer could be you fighting for your life. I understand. It’s a lot to ask of someone. It’s not an easy life. So if — if you want out… who says I want out? You just — you just said that. I said I’m scared, and I am. But… I also love you too much to try to hide this fear from you, or start our marriage by being anything other than completely honest with you, so…I’m sharing this fear with you. But if you and I are going to be husband and wife, then I want to share everything with you, including my fear of losing you, so don’t tell me to go, okay? Promise me you will never tell me that. Okay, I promise. I sometimes wish that dante would have become an executive. You know, he could have worked for drew at aurora or ned at elq.

[ Laughs ] He would hate every minute of that. Okay, well, then he could have learned a different trade. He could have been a mechanic or a plumber or something. You know, all of his uncles were mechanics. All of them. He never had the feel for it. And if you can’t figure out how to fix a car, you’re probably not going to have a lot of luck fixing plumbing.

[ Chuckles ] I know, what about — what about a baseball coach? That’s perfect for him. He would love that. See?

[ Breathes deeply ] But not as much as he loves being a cop. It means everything to him. It’s everything that he believes in. You know, I swear to you, sam… when he told me that that’s what he wanted to be, I burst into tears. I begged him. Anything, anything else. A paramedic, anything. But he was so sure… and he was so excited. He was so proud. What could I do? He’s my baby, I just… I gave him a hug.

[ Chuckles ] You know what? You’re right. There is no dante the executive or dante the plumber…

[ Both laugh ] …Or dante the baseball coach.

[ Chuckles ] I think I only said those things because the other thing makes me scared sometimes. But it’s dante the cop. And I don’t think we’d have it any other way, would we?

[ Mouths words ] How’s it going in here? Oh, great. Uh, we’re just making a gaming date for when dante’s better so he can play with us, right? Yeah. We’re gonna let dad pick the game so he has the best chance to win.

[ Both laugh ] Sounds like a plan. Yeah, but it is getting late, isn’t it? Um, how about I bring rocco home, and he spends the night with kevin and me? Do I have to, grandma?

[ Chuckling ] No, of course not. Not if you don’t want to. I’d rather stay here just in case scout has a bad dream and wakes up scared. Dad would want me to take care of her. You two have given me no choice. Take mr. Spinelli and ms. Jones into custody. No, no, no. No, you can’T. Maxie has young children at home. They need her. This is out of my hands now. I could call felicia, though, and let her know what’s going on. Oh, no, no, no. No, no. Please do not call my mom. All right? I don’t want her to worry. Although, I do think my mom would be proud that we took a stand for one of our best friends. I mean, the guy in that footage saved our lives on more than one occasion. She’d be really proud we repaid the favor. One of your best friends, huh? Well, that sounds like someone who has a lot of friends, someone who’s made a name for himself. That should narrow it down quite a bit. Thank you so much.

[ Sighs ] I hope your good deed gives you solace when you’re pacing around inside your cell. I made a copy. No kidding. Spinelli, don’t say another word. I can handle whatever happens to me. Yeah, I have no doubt, but I will not let the mother of my child be incarcerated over something that I did.

[ Sighs ] There was a drone recording as it was circling the roof. The footage is in the backup drive. That wasn’t so hard, was it? I’m assuming this thing’s got a password. You think I’m an amateur? Just give it to me. Fine. M-a-x-I-m-I-s-t-A. Awww. You make a good argument, but I-I just — it doesn’t — I can’t believe that jason would be out to kill me. Well, okay. That settles it. That’s it? You’re not going to keep telling me reasons why I’m cutting my own throat? Nope. Okay. I laid out the facts as I see them, and you believe in jason’s innocence. You know him better than I do. I trust your judgment. Thank you because I needed to hear that, since it’s very hard for me to trust anybody right now. Especially with what happened with michael and — and dex, I can’t even trust my own instincts right now. You made it very clear that you trust jason. I didn’t say I trusted him 100%. You just got to promise me something. You got to promise me that you’re going to be careful. You know… …look both ways and all that. If I didn’t know any better, I-I’d think that you actually cared for me.

I can’t believe you gave up “our friend” to the feds. I have full faith that “our friend” can take care of himself. Well, obviously, but I’ve never seen you be anything but loyal to him. I had good reason for my actions tonight. Doing this keeps you out of jail. You’ll be able to live your life and be with the kids. They need you. And no matter what happens to me, I’ll be happy knowing that. Because, maxie, you’re not just the mother of my child. You’re the woman I love. Okay, well, thank you so much for coming. Thank you. Rocco definitely seems a little bit better after talking to you. Well, I tell you, I feel better after talking to him, and I actually think it’s a really good sign that — that he wants to stay here to look after scout. Sometimes the best way to help yourself is by helping somebody else. Mm. Yeah. Good night. Good night.

[ Footsteps approaching ] All right, well, I just checked on scout. She is sound asleep. Yeah, she’s probably worn out from her birthday party. That was only a few hours ago. I know, it’s crazy. All right, well, we are going to have a huge celebration — thank you — once dante gets out of the hospital, okay? Yeah. But until then — hold on… oh. …Until then, um, I need to get home and I need to just relax. It’s been a day. Hey, hey. Yes. Hey, hey. Thank you for coming. Really helped with danny a lot. Just remember that, no matter how he acts, danny feels things just as deeply as the other boys. Maybe even more. Mm. Okay. Good night. Good night.

[ Sighs ] Dante is out of surgery. They’re moving him to the icu. Oh! Oh, that’s great news. I just want to hug everyone that was in that room with him right now. Our prayers worked. They sure did. Dante is still in critical condition, but the doctors believe that they have repaired all the damage. Then there’s a good chance dante will recover? Let’s get him through the night, but this is a huge step in the right direction. You have been holding me up. What can I do for you? Anything. Just name it. Take me home. You got it.

[ Voice breaking ] You see? I told you. I told you he was a fighter. He is hanging in there just like we knew we would. Oh!

[ Sobs quietly ] What are we going to do with damian spinelli? Time will tell. We got what we wanted, and now we’re going after jason morgan. Of course I care about you. You’re avery’s father. Our little girl would be lost without you. I’d be lost without her, too. Avery. Of course. Remember when I — when I told you that you’re the only person I can trust? I remember. Wouldn’t it be funny if that were true?

Hope: Look, I know you’re dealing with a lot.

Steffy: And it seems like you’re piling more on me.

Hope: I understand. It’s painful enough as it is already. It’s just, I– I see what finn is going through and I’m just urging you, steffy, to please don’t allow sheila’s death to come between you and finn.

Liam: Steffy needed you, you know. And you walked out on her.

Finn: I don’t owe you an explanation, liam.

Liam: Okay, you got one for steffy then? ‘Cause she has no idea what’s going on with you. In fact, nobody does. Lamenting sheila like she’s this significant part of your life? Like, what are you– you know what? It’s fine. It’s fine. Steffy’s gonna be fine because I’ll be there. I mean, she needs someone she can count on, finn. And if it’s not you, it’s me.

Luna: Oh, my god. What happened? What– what am I doing here?

Zende: That’s what I asked myself when you surprised me here last night.

Luna: I thought that I was with rj, zende. I saw his face. How could I make that up?

Zende: I can’t explain it, but… you do know that what happened between us, what we shared, it was consensual, right? I would never–

Luna: I know that. But it doesn’t change how I feel. The shock and– and the horror. I love rj so much and we have something so special. Or we did. But now? What have I done?

Poppy: So, this is where you’ve been hiding?

Luna: I’m working, mom. I’m busy.

Poppy: Too busy to answer my texts? I just wanna know that you’re okay, sweetheart.

Luna: I’m not. Not even close. Your mints turned my entire life upside down.

Poppy: Luna, I am so sorry.

Luna: Your apologies won’t fix anything, mom. I slept with zende thinking that he was rj. And now this secret is… it’s tearing me apart. I love rj. I mean, doesn’t he deserve to know the truth?

[ Knock on door ]

Rj: Hey, zende.

Zende: Bad time?

Rj: No, no, it’s fine. I just took a shower from a beach swim. It’s okay, come in. So, what’s up?

Zende: I thought we should talk.

Rj: About what? About work?

Zende: No, we can talk shop at the office. I came to see you here in private.

Rj: You want to talk to me in private? Why do you need to talk to me in private?

Zende: There are some things you need to hear.

Rj: What do I need to hear, zende?

Zende: I wanna make sure you understand how lucky you are to be dating luna.

Poppy: You can’t tell rj that you slept with zende.

Luna: Okay, so what am I supposed to do? What, I’m supposed to keep this secret locked up forever?

Poppy: Yes.

Luna: I don’t think I can do that. I don’t think I can keep what happened with zende from rj.

Finn: Do I have to remind you that it’s my wife that you are talking about?

Liam: No, I think I have to remind you it’s your wife I’m talking about. It’s like you’ve forgotten how lucky you are just to have her in your life.

Finn: I haven’t forgotten. I’ll never forget how blessed I am to have steffy in my life. And I don’t blame her for what happened. It’s complicated. But, frankly, it’s none of your damn business. You don’t know what I’m going through. Yes, we are all relieved that sheila is gone. But my birth mother is dead.

Steffy: Don’t act like you know more about this than I do. It happened to me.

Hope: I– all I’m trying to say is that I think it might be affecting finn a little more than maybe even you realize.

Steffy: You are overstepping right now.

Hope: Fine, fine, all right. Just trying to help, okay? I– I– I get that you might not understand what finn is going through. I just hope that you will try to respect it.

Steffy: I know finn is tormented by this. So am I. More than you could possibly imagine. Hey… it’s me! Your dry skin!

Rj: Yeah, you don’t have to tell me how amazing my girlfriend is. I– I know. She’s my girlfriend.

Zende: She’s a lot more than that, rj. She is smart and beautiful. Ambitious. Granddad thinks there’s a real future for her at forrester. And so do I. I know you like hanging out with her, spending time. Luna is special. I’m not sure you’re fully aware of that.

Rj: I’m completely aware of it. What I’m not sure is that you fully understand that we’re not just hanging out and having fun, zende. We’re in a committed relationship. And I– I don’t understand what it is that you’re saying or that you’re not saying, but luna and I are happy, okay? And you’re never going to be with her.

Poppy: Telling the truth can devastate rj.

Lun yeah,ut it’ the right thing do.

Poppy: Who benefits? No one if you’re questioning your relationship with rj.

Luna: No, I’m not. I love him.

Poppy: Then why hurt him by telling him something that you can’t change? For something that didn’t mean anything to you? Spare yourself this pain.

Luna: Mom, I’m not keeping this a secret to protect myself, mom. I mean, every single time I’m with rj, so good to me and I don’t wanna undermine rj and zende’s relationship. I mean, they’re– they’re like the next generation of forresters.

Finn: Steffy and I don’t need you or anyone telling us how to cope with this.

Liam: You’re not coping. You could cope at home. You’re bailing.

Finn: I told you, it is complicated.

Liam: Okay, then let me simplify it for you. Steffy shouldn’t be fighting through this all on her own.

Finn: And I shouldn’t be getting a warning from you. None of this is fair. My birth mother was stabbed to death in my home by my wife. I love steffy. I know sheila broke in, and steffy was defending herself, and I want to be there for her, but yes, I am struggling right now and I don’t need you to be putting me on blast for it.

Liam: Okay, I tried. Guess I can’t get through. One for the road. Don’t neglect steffy. Don’t take your marriage to her for granted like I did.

Finn: Because you’re waiting in the wings. Do you think that you’re being honorable? Giving me fair warning? Coming in here, interfering, acting like you know what steffy needs? What we need is privacy and some time to work this out. And we will. You got that, liam? Nothing and no one will come between steffy and me.

Hope: Steffy, I’m sorry. I am not trying to be insensitive. You acted out of self-defense. Everybody knows that, even finn.

Steffy: I still took a life. That’s the truth. Even though it was self-defense, even though I was trying to protect myself, it doesn’t change the fact that I watched a life leave someone’s body. That’s on me. I did that. And every time I close my eyes, that is all I see. Me killing her.

Is it menopause

or something else?

Hope: Steffy, I… I apologize. This wasn’t the time or place to talk about this. I was really not trying to upset you.

Steffy: Well, I appreciate your concern about finn and my marriage, but I don’t want to talk about this anymore.

Hope: I understand that I don’t know how you’re feeling, and how this is gonna impact the both of you. All I know is that I talked to finn and saw a man wrestling with himself. He’s confused. He’s hurting. And I just was trying to give you the heads up and let you know.

Steffy: We are grappling with a very difficult situation. It’s emotional. It is painful. But it’s not insurmountable. We have gotten through many storms together. We’re gonna get through this one. We’ll be stronger. I’m not gonna let this disrupt my life with finn.

Rj: Have you said what you need to say? Because I have to go to the office and do some work and say hi to my girlfriend. Okay?

Zende: I’d feel the same way if I were you.

Rj: Listen to me. I don’t want to argue with you. We used to be close, and we still can be. But you need to lay off and respect my relationship with luna.

Luna: The forresters are a wonderful family. And they all love each other. They do, but when there’s tension between them, I mean, it affects everything.

Poppy: That’s true of every family.

Luna: Yeah, well, the nozawas aren’t exactly running an international fashion house.

Poppy: You don’t wanna mess things up.

Luna: I already have.

Poppy: But telling rj the truth can make things so much worse.

Luna: I know. I know. You don’t want me to mess up my future with rj. And you don’t want me to mess up my job at forrester, but… that’s not why I’m not telling him the truth. I mean, I’m fully willing to face the consequences of my actions.

Poppy: You didn’t know what you were doing.

Luna: I didn’t have a choice then, but I do now. But, I don’t know, as… as much as I want to tell rj the truth, I don’t want to ruin his whole life and his family. I don’t want to be the reason why zende and rj can’t work together. And I won’t mess up eric’s collection. I mean, that’s just– that’s way too important. To eric, to his sons and his grandsons. And rj has worked so hard to get zende on board. And I know that they’re trying to rebuild their connection, and I just– I can’t disrupt that.

Poppy: So, we agree. You’ll keep this secret?

Luna: You make it sound so simple. But this is hell, mom. I mean, I’m terrified that this is gonna ruin every good thing in my life, ’cause that’s what secrets do.

Poppy: No, sweetheart.

Luna: Like yours did to me. I don’t know, it felt like everything was finally coming together. And then one night, a decision that I didn’t even have any control over– and now everything is different. And I don’t know if it’ll ever be the same again.

[ Knock on door ]

Finn: Hey.

Steffy: Finn.

Finn: I had to see you, steff. I just– I miss you so much. My doctorrecommends

Poppy: Honey, look at me. It’s gonna be all right.

Luna: I don’t know, mom.

Poppy: Well, I do. Because I know you. I know your heart. I know you’re a good person. Okay, you want to do the right thing.

Luna: But am I? Like, this doesn’t feel right, keeping this secret and lying to rj.

Poppy: It’s not a lie. You love rj. Hey, that’s true. That hasn’t changed.

Luna: But it has. I slept with zende and that’s always gonna be there, right under the surface.

Poppy: Zende has agreed not to say anything, and neither should you. You made a mistake. It doesn’t have to destroy everything. Okay, I can see you’re still not sure, but honey, you can’t tell rj. Please, tell me you understand that.

[ Door opens ]

Rj: Hey. Hi, you.

Luna: Hey.

Rj: Hello.

Zende: We’re just coming from rj’s place. I just wanted to stop by, let him know how lucky he is to be dating someone as wonderful as you, luna.

Poppy: You’re both lucky to have each other.

Luna: Um, yeah. Yeah, it makes me like a little emotional, actually. You know, thinking about everything that I have to be grateful for. Especially you, rj. And how happy we are together, and… all the things we have to look forward to. I mean, I never want to do anything to hurt you or let you down.

Rj: You never could.

Steffy: I’m really glad you’re here. I know it’s hard to be at the house right now.

Finn: Yeah, look, I don’t want this to keep me away from you and the kids.

Steffy: I know. And I agree.

Finn: I– I know it’s– it’s hard for you to understand and– and accept. And I– I wish I could explain what I’m feeling. I just… I’m struggling right now, um, with sheila’s death. And I don’t blame you, okay? Not at all. It just– it feels like something’s missing. Like a connection’s been cut.

Steffy: Between us?

Finn: No, no, no. Not between us. Just between my birth mother and me.

Steffy: I know you’re struggling. I’m struggling too. I killed someone, finn. I took someone’s life. And… what have I done? All I see is just the paramedics there trying to save her. And I was just– I was in shock. I was in shock. I was unable to breathe. And no matter what sheila’s done to us, it still doesn’t change the fact that I– I killed someone. I killed someone. And I’m really trying to come to terms with that, but I just can’t get this memory– I can’t get this memory out of my head. Like, it haunts me.

Finn: Just– we can’t let this tear us apart.

Steffy: No. No. No, we can’t let it tear us apart. We can’T. But will you ever be able to look at me the same way? I– I don’t even know if I can look at myself the same. I am so sorry. I’m so, so sorry. So sorry.

THIS STILL NEEDS EXTENSIVE EDITING!

We’re back. Shh. Shh. Sorry. How is she?

She’s not good.

Okay. Okay. So my mom and my dad and Kayla, they have to be looking for us, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Okay. But how long will they know that we’re here?

How long until we run out of oxygen? Actually, BGU isn’t burning out of oxygen, per se. In an airless, enclosed space like this, the danger is more, uh More what? Tell me. It’s the carbon dioxide. A 1 percent concentration is mildly toxic, and once it reaches 10%, it’s I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said anything.

No, I want to know. If there’s a chance of us dying. I want to know.

There she comes. All right, it’s time to roll. Jig out, this has to work.

Like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

How’s her breathing? It’s labored.

Doctors were here earlier. There’s no change. And there’s no update on a possible heart transplant.

Why don’t you go and get some rest? You’re next. We can stay here with mama. Yeah, we won’t leave her side, we promise. Maybe, maybe later. Hey, you look exhausted. You need sleep. I’m fine, I’m fine, I’m fine. I want to be here when she wakes up. Okay, if you’re sure. I’m sure, sure.

Doctors.

Doctors say she’s running out of time.

But you know, there are thousands of other people who are waiting for a heart transplant too. Yeah, yeah, that’s right, but, but even still, we can’t give up hope, right? Right. We’re not giving up.

Okay, we should, we should, we should minimize our physical activity, okay? Try to make the, try to make the oxygen last as long as possible. Okay. Okay. I’m moving around. That increases oxygen consumption, right? Yeah, it does. And we should, we should take slow, shallow breaths. Okay, got it.

You’re being so brave. You can take your makeup, remember? Right, right. Okay. Okay, how’s this?

I’m not scared. I know we’ll be okay. And even if we’re not, I’ll deal with it. Because I’m with the man I love. Who has never loved you more than he does right now. Tripp. Yeah?

Do you believe in God? Uh?

Oh,

yeah. Oh. Abraham.

Right there, my love. Oh. Hey, Mama. We’re here. My girl. How you feeling? Oh. Oh. My grandbabies. They will be here tomorrow. Okay, Eli will bring them. They made these. They made these for you, see? They, they drew those for their grandma. For me? Yeah. We love you so much, Mama. I love them. And you. Oh, my, uh, How many?

How many what, Mama? Grandbabies. You. Johnny. You gotta give us some time, Mama. We just got Uh, I don’t, I don’t, I don’t make it. You tell them about me.

Uh, well, my mother was raised Catholic. It runs pretty deep in her family. I’m asking about you.

I’ve had patients, uh, and their families come in to the hospital from all kinds of faiths and backgrounds. And, uh, when I’ve had to give bad news to someone, they’re Well, it seems that the religious ones are usually comforted by their belief in an afterlife. Their belief that God is watching over them.

That everything happens for a reason. But do you believe that, Tripp? That everything happens for a reason? That God is looking out for us right now? I, I, I, I wouldn’t. To believe that, especially now.

You know, I can’t believe we’ve never talked about this, but are you religious at all? Uh, what I was taught growing up was to seek enlightenment through meditation. And it was also turned into me that life is beautiful and mysterious.

But it’s also full of suffering and uncertainty. Like right now. Wendy, I’m so sorry. If it weren’t for me, you’d be in China right now with your family. Stop. Okay, enough with the guilt, Tripp. I’m here because we fell in love. Because I love you, Tripp Johnson. And if I had to choose between Living a hundred years, not knowing you.

And falling in love with you. Being with you, right here, in this tomb.

I’d pick the tomb. I wouldn’t trade knowing you for anything, either.

You know, maybe we should, uh, Maybe we should write messages to our family, just in case. There’s, there’s nothing right on here. The width is just I’m just gonna have to We’re just gonna have to trust that they know that we were thinking of them. And love them. But my parents I mean, they, they already lost Lee.

So I’m their only child now and I just, I’m, I’m so scared that they, they’re not gonna be able to deal with it.

You’re your mom’s only child too. Yeah, yeah I am.

She’s already been through so much, after losing her other son.

I pray,

and right now I have to admit I’m feeling pretty religious. So right now I think that we should both pray to God that our parents don’t have to, don’t have to suffer any more than they already have. I

gotta tell you boys, this is a brilliant plan. Shut up.

Mama, what can we do? How can we help?

I need to talk to your, your dad. Okay, we’ll go grab coffee.

Take as much time as you need, okay? Yes, darling? What is it? Abraham. I’m here. I’m here, son.

I feel myself slipping away. No, no, no. You can’t talk like that. You can’t talk like that. We only think positively. I won’t let you go. I won’t. I want to thank you for giving me the. For the best years of my life. Sweetheart, I love you. I love you so much. Promise me. Anything. Anything. Take care of my girls.

I promise.

I promise. I will look out for Lani and Chanel and I’ll Eli and Johnny and Jules and Carver. I won’t let you down. Ty So Ty

I just remembered, I’m supposed to go to the dentist tomorrow.

God, I was dreading it, and now what I wouldn’t give to, to keep that appointment.

I thought I I took everything for granted. Me

too. All this time my dad asked me to come over to watch the ball game, and I was, I’m too tired, I have to work, you know, some other time. Then, then Joey’s been texting me, he wanted me to come out and visit him in Seattle, you know, have some bro time, and I, I shook on it. You, you flew out to him when he was in that accident last year.

I know, I know, and I’m so glad I did that. You were such a good brother, Tripp. No. I’m not such a great son either. I mean, I mean, my mom, she’s always, she’s always wanted to hug on me and kiss me, and I, I, I’m, I’m a grown man. I thought, I thought she was babying me, and why, why, you know, why would I push her away like that?

Is that what she’s gonna remember of me? No. No, of course not. You were so good to your mom, Tripp. That’s what she’ll remember. That you were always kind and caring to her. I could have done better. Well, we all could have, right? I mean, like me, my, my parents, they’re old school and they wanted me to get married young and have kids.

I pushed back really hard because nobody’s gonna tell me what to do, how to live my life.

But the truth is, I

do want to get married and have kids.

I mean, on my own time, of course, but

I’ve always wanted that. To be a mom, to be a wife.

Now I’ll never get the chance.

Marry me. Right now.

Good job, little lady. I gotta tell you, I wasn’t sure you could pull this off. Where is my son? All in good time. Hey, we broke you out, now you’re gonna keep up your end. Tell us where Tripp is. Not quite yet. What? Okay, you listen to me, you disgusting piece of Your mom would teach you. We catch more flies with honey, you know.

Yeah. Well, I smack my flies with a swatter. Until they’re dead. Hey, hey, what are you doing? What are you doing? Gentlemen, we’re gonna do this my way.

I can’t believe this is happening. Mama just got through cancer, and, and her surgery was a success. She was supposed to be out of the woods. We were all so happy, and Johnny and I had just gotten married, and, and, and. Mama, she, she was recovering and she was doing fine.

When I was little, my aunt Paulina seemed indestructible. She was a force to be reckoned with. I remember looking at her and thinking she made all the other adults just shake in their boots.

I had no idea she was going through hell. I didn’t know that she was in an abusive marriage. That she was forced to give up her child.

She pushed through the other side. She’s a survivor.

Do you remember when I first found out that she was my biological mother? God, I was, I was so upset at her for keeping it from me. Like, I was awful to her, Chanel. Yeah, but that’s understandable, okay? But I know, I know that she was doing it to protect me. I know that she wanted to keep me away from her. A man that would abuse me and beat me like he did her.

She sacrificed her own happiness for me.

Just like you would for Jules and Carver. But my babies are gonna grow up without their grandmother. They, they won’t remember her. Chanel, they’re too little. Yeah. My kids, they won’t, they won’t know her at all. I’ll never get to hear the sound of her voice or see her face light up whenever she lays eyes on them.

God, Lani, what are we gonna do? Mama is the one person that loves us no matter what.

The most pure and unconditional love is between a mother and her child. No matter how many mistakes we make, our mother still loves us. You know? And how lucky are we?

We are so lucky.

And that luck better not run out. Better not. Come here.

Oh,

Paulina. Paulina, can you hear me? Can you hear me?

For giving me the best years of my life.

I wish I could remember all the I wish I could remember all the All the times we had together.

But instead,

I get to fall with you all over again. I love you. I love you.

I always will.

Wendy Shin. With my whole heart, I take you as my wife. I promise to respect you as a person, as a partner, and an equal. You know, before you came along, I wasn’t sure I believed in finding the one. But, uh, relationships brought me a lot of heartache, a lot of pain. And now I know that things just didn’t work out in the past because fate was just sending me to you.

I just had to be patient. And, for the first time in my life, I finally feel accepted for who I am. You don’t have to be something I’m not to try to impress you with it in some mold. I’m just me. Just, just dorky, nerdy me. Gotta say that, it feels really good. You were my heart. My soul. Yet in this Jenga game we call life, you are the piece that I need.

It’s pretty corny. It’s so, so sweet. It’s true. Without you, my whole world comes crashing down.

And so from this, Moving forward, I vow as your husband, love you, cherish you with all of my being, until I draw my very last breath on this earth.

This ride has come to a complete stop. John, Steve, This is where you get off. You don’t want to do this, Eva. This is a big mistake. The hell it is. It’s the only way I can save my son. Boys, take the guys back to Salem.

Now, for the last time, Clyde, where is my son? You know, that was an ace move right there. Seems to me like you’re the only one that really gets it. But, as much as I appreciate you stopping the dynamic duo there from double crossing me, I gotta tell you, I still don’t really trust you. Okay, well, there’s not much we can do about that now, is there?

I think there is. See, this is how it’s going to play out. Once I’m in the air, I call you on the phone. I tell you where Wendy and Tripp are. Okay, you know, let me think about that. No. That is not going to work for me.

Got it. I better pull myself together Before we go see mom because she can tell from a mile away when I’ve been crying She knows we’re scared we can’t fool her. Yeah, you’re right Sick as she is, she’s still razor sharp. And bossy.

I remember growing up one time she said, I could never die. Who would run my funeral?

This is so messed up. It’s just wrong. Our wonderful mother is in there dying. And it is unfair. All these horrible people, they just get to live. Yeah, well, life’s unfair, Chanel. And like Big Mama always said, you have to play the cards you’ve been dealt. But let’s not lose hope, okay? And you know, if the worst happens, if we lose mama, we’ll have each other and we will cry and we will grieve and our hearts will be broken.

But hey, we will pull ourselves together. And we will be the strong and fierce, powerful women that she has showed us to be by her example. And we will keep her in our hearts forever, okay? And we will make her proud. Oh, we

need more time. We need more time, Paulina.

You need to make new memories.

I know.

I know I’m being selfish. I know. And of you. Of you. To fight. It’s okay. It’s okay.

We’ll try, we’ll try to, try to get along without you. I know that’s what you’d want. You’d want, you’d want us to be strong. You’d want us,

you’d want us to take care of each other.

And we will. We will. Johnson,

with all my heart, I take you as my husband. I promise to be by your side, to learn with you, to encourage you, to respect you and accept you. You’re my best friend, Tripp. You make me laugh. You’re there for me when I cry. You were my rock when And I know I can always turn to you, lean on you, no matter what.

You are honest, and kind, and you’ve devoted your life to helping people. I love that you are so smart, and funny, and nerdy.

You love that I’m smart too.

We are equals. We’re friends. We’re lovers.

And now we’re husband and wife. And I vow to love you and to cherish you with all my being. Until I drop my very last breath on this earth. Well, this wasn’t part of the plan. Why am

I surprised Ava double crossed us? Should have seen it coming. Just like the The double cross of the, um, Chicago case. Ah, yeah. Chicago case. I hear you, partner. Well, I think you’re forgetting, you killed me. You’ll never find your kid. Oh, you’ll live. But you’ll walk real funny for a while. And don’t plan on having any more kids.

Where is my son?! Sweetheart, I think he’s probably halfway to heaven by now. I think his man parts are where they are. Thank you very much. So,

uh, do you think we should go back in now? No, um, let’s give them some more time. Dad knows we’re out here. Why don’t we go to the chapel and say a prayer for Mama? What if Abe comes out here and he’s looking for us? He’ll text us. Don’t worry. Okay. Hey, Lani. Yeah? I love you.

I love you too. How much?

How much time do we have left? Not much time. How will it happen? I’ll just I fell asleep. Oh, sleep. I’m okay. Tripp. When we get

out of here,

will you marry me for real? Huh? Oh yeah. Yeah, I’ll marry you for real. I I do.

There’s our ride. Yep. Looks like it’s about time to Go!

Let’s blow this popsicle stand. You got it, baby. Now, I assume whoever’s flying that plane works for you. So me and my gal here, we’re just gonna drive off into the sunset. But rest assured, I will be thinking warm thoughts of you as I travel down that glory road to freedom. Please, Clyde, don’t do this.

Don’t do this. I will do whatever you want. I will give you whatever you want. Just, just tell me where Tripp is. Sorry, baby. Damn you. Damn you! I will kill you! I will hunt you down to the ends of the earth and I will slit your throat, you Son of a bitch! Adios, amiga.

Don’t even bother looking for your son. I made sure he’s good and dead. No!

Update written by Joseph

Sarah takes care of Victoria in the interrogation room until Xander is brought in to see them. Xander comments on how much he’s missed them.

Brady walks through the town square and gets a call from Tate, saying he was just checking in and seeing when Brady will get there. Brady responds that it will be about an hour and that he’s bringing a big surprise which he assures will be good as they hang up. Nicole walks by while finishing a call with Holly and stops to greet Brady. Brady asks how Holly is. Nicole reveals that she’s awake and out of her coma. Brady is shocked and asks when it happened. Nicole says it was just yesterday. Brady asks if she’s alert and talking. Nicole confirms that she is and that doctors are hopeful that she will make a full recovery. Brady says that’s what they’ve been praying for but admits he’s a little confused because of how important this is to Tate and questions why Nicole didn’t call him to tell him that Holly was alert and talking.

Chad goes to the Brady Pub where Roman presents him his orders to go. Chad tells Roman that he, Julie, and Stephanie are meeting at the Horton house. Roman asks what’s going on there. Chad explains that Julie needs to make a list of everything that can be salvaged and the contractors are there. Roman decides to join the cause and leaves the Pub with Chad.

At the Horton house, Julie tells Stephanie how grateful she is for her help. Stephanie says she’s happy to help in any way she can. Julie knows it’s a difficult time for her since Everett came by and they got to talking. Stephanie brings up Everett being Jada’s ex-husband, Bobby Stein. Julie says that Bobby told her what a painful and confusing experience this is for him and it’s clear to her that Everett cares for Stephanie deeply. Stephanie says the rebuild here is going to take a lot longer than a day so they better get started.

Everett goes to see Marlena in her office. Marlena asks if he’s still going by Everett. Everett insists that is his name and if she doesn’t believe him then he can’t go through with this. Marlena says she does believe he is Everett Lynch but thinks they need to explore the idea of who Bobby Stein is and why he can’t access those memories. Marlena says they are here to help him do that. Marlena asks how he is feeling today. Everett talks about trying to calm himself down on the way over because he knows she will be impartial and non judgmental. Everett admits he’s never been so terrified in his life of what he might learn about himself and his past. Marlena calls that understandable but assures that all she wants to do is help him. Marlena mentions accessing some of his medical records which say he suffered a traumatic brain injury and that he was in a medically induced coma for a year. Marlena asks what some of his first memories were after being brought out of the coma. Everett felt like he was in a fog and everything was fuzzy. Everett recalls seeing the nurse go in and out of the room and then a doctor came to ask him questions to determine how lucid he was. Everett remembers the first question being what is your name and he told him that it was Everett Lynch, because that’s who he is.

Julie agrees with Stephanie that it will take more than a day to restore the house. Julie says she has to go talk to the carpenters outside as they are giving her an estimate. Julie asks Stephanie to go upstairs and check on the guy cleaning the walls. Julie mentions Doug wanting her to check the closet in the back bedroom where he kept his music archives from over the years. Julie prays that it made it through the fire unscathed because those are some of Doug’s best memories. Julie remarks that she hopes Everett regains his memory too, noting that Marlena is going to try to help him with that. Stephanie hopes she succeeds as much as that scares her.

Brady asks if Nicole understands how they have been waiting desperately for Holly to be able to set the record straight about what happened the night she overdosed as Tate’s life hangs in the balance and he’s living in a halfway house because he’s been falsely accused. Nicole gets offended and says they are focusing on Holly’s well being and getting better after she almost died. Brady says he’s relieved for Holly but he’s worried about his son too and asks when she’s going to talk to Holly about the drugs. Nicole responds that they already talked to her about it and she’s afraid that Brady is not going to be happy about what she had to say.

Xander thanks Sarah for bringing Victoria. Sarah says they were missing him but hopefully not for too long. Xander asks what she means. Sarah reveals that Harris Michaels is awake and recovering in the hospital. Xander asks if he said who shot him. Sarah says not yet, but he will.

Marlena asks Everett to tell her about some of his earliest memories as a child. Everett recalls his mother baking him a birthday cake shaped like an F1 racing car when he was three. Everett says that his mother was beautiful, kind, and her mantra was to just be nice.

Stephanie brings out a box of clothes that survived the fire while Julie finds one of Doug’s vinyl records. Chad arrives with Roman, surprising Julie. Chad says they brought milkshakes and breakfast sandwiches. Roman says he’s ready to pitch in and asks where Julie needs him. Chad says he is too. Julie calls them kind and wonderful. Roman and Chad agree they are grateful to be part of this effort. Chad takes the box of clothes to be taken to the laundromat. Julie asks how lucky she is to have family and friends like them as she hugs Stephanie and Roman.

Brady asks Nicole why he won’t like what Holly said. Nicole explains that Holly is still a little unclear about what happened that night but she said they were not her drugs so they believe that someone slipped her the drugs. Brady asks Nicole to tell him right now that she doesn’t think it was his son. Nicole responds that EJ wonders who else would have motive and opportunity. Brady insists that Tate would not push drugs on a girl to take advantage of her, regardless of what EJ thinks. Brady talks about Tate having an aversion to drugs because of his parents addictive history. Nicole complains that she doesn’t know what to believe as it’s a lot to take in but she knows she needs to get home to her daughter. Brady stops her and says she needs to understand that his son went to jail because he found her daughter passed out on the loading dock and panicked like any 16 year old kid would. Brady adds that Tate told him that the drugs weren’t his and he believes him because he’s a good person. Brady brings up Holly being foggy about what happened while Tate has been clear since the day it happened. Brady declares that he wants to talk to Holly but Nicole says that’s not going to happen. Brady asks why not. Nicole repeats that they are focused on Holly’s healing and they can’t allow anything to disrupt that. Brady argues that his kid’s life hangs in the balance and this could jeopardize his entire future. Brady says that Tate isn’t lying while Nicole says Holly isn’t either. Nicole says maybe when Holly feels stronger, they can all sit down and talk but she can’t make any promises as to when that will happen. Nicole tells Brady that she’s sorry but she has to go and walks away.

Julie tells Stephanie, Chad, and Roman to keep an eye out for any type of key for the time capsule. Chad explains to Stephanie how Thomas found it in the fireplace. Roman wonders what Alice put in there since it was over 50 years ago. Julie shows them a picture of the time capsule. Chad and Roman joke about what might be inside. Julie hopes it’s something that brings joy to the maximum .

Marlena states that Everett obviously has positive memories of his mother. Everett admits he does but he hasn’t thought about her in a long time. Marlena asks if he’d like to explore that relationship. Everett says maybe next session as he just wants to focus on figure out who Bobby Stein is. Marlena brings out a file that Jada sent over which says his name is Robert Everett Stein and that his mother’s maiden name was Lynch. Everett says that makes sense since it’s his middle name and his mother’s name. Marlena asks if he has any idea why he chose those names. Everett says no. Marlena asks what he can tell her about his father. Everett says that nothing comes to mind and that he’s blanking on his own father. Everett asks if that’s because of his brain injury after the accident which Marlena assumes it is. Everett questions if anyone in an accident just forgets their father, asking why he would just completely obliterate him from his mind.

Xander asks if Sarah thinks Harris hasn’t said who shot him because he didn’t see the person or he doesn’t remember. Sarah says that Harris says he doesn’t remember. Xander wonders if he will ever remember. Sarah says it’s hard to say. Xander worries that it makes no difference since the cards are stacked against him, especially if Harris never says it wasn’t him. Sarah feels there’s another way to look at it and that’s that Harris can’t say it was him either.

Brady brings Tate donuts from the Bakery. Tate says he has something to show him and asks Brady for his phone. Tate explains that it’s an app to stream the Premier League. Brady says that sounds great but not right now because there’s something important he needs to tell him. Brady then informs Tate that Holly is awake.

Nicole goes home to the DiMera Mansion where Holly is in the living room. Nicole says she’s surprised to see Holly out of her room as she brings her donuts from the bakery. Nicole mentions running in to Brady and says they chatted a bit about what happened on New Year’s. Nicole says that Brady is a devoted father and loves his son so much, so he refuses to believe that Tate’s the one who gave her the drugs. Holly responds that Tate didn’t.

Stephanie, Chad, Julie, and Roman search the Horton house. Stephanie finds a half dollar. Julie comments on the house being full of treasures. Julie suggests she and Roman go through the discarded furniture in the backyard to see what can be salvaged. Stephanie tells Chad that she loves Julie’s attitude as she is one strong woman. Chad says Julie can turn a sad situation into a treasure hunt. Stephanie adds that Julie has been so kind about what she’s going through as well and encouraged her to open up about it. Chad agrees that she should and says she can with him if she wants to. Stephanie decides that she does and she doesn’t because it’s hard for her to broach that subject with him. Chad says he’ll do it then and asks where things stand with her and Everett.

Marlena asks if Everett wants to stop here since this has been a lot to take in and suggests they pick it up next week. Marlena asks if he would be willing to try hypnosis. Everett agrees if she thinks it will help. Marlena goes to schedule it. Everett gets a text from Stephanie, saying she hopes all goes well with Marlena and that she’s helping Julie at the Horton house, asking if they can talk later. Marlena tells Everett that they are good for the same time next week and encourages him to just be patient and gentle with himself. Everett agrees to do his best and thanks her for everything as he then exits.

Tate asks Brady if Holly is going to be okay. Brady says apparently so as she is fully conscious. Tate calls it a miracle and asks if she told everyone what happened on New Year’s Eve and that the drugs weren’t his. Brady responds that unfortunately, she didn’t.

Nicole questions Holly saying that Tate was not the one who gave her the drugs. Holly repeats that he wasn’t and questions why she would even think that. Nicole goes over how he was her date and with her all night, so he was the likely culprit. Nicole asks who else would’ve slipped her those drugs and why. Holly says she doesn’t know but she knows Tate would never do something like that.

Sarah insists to Xander that if Harris’s memory was wiped from that night, then he can’t implicate him. Xander assures that he wasn’t there. Sarah tells him that she believes him and wouldn’t bring Victoria to visit him if she didn’t. Xander admits he’s starting to get pessimistic as his cell is getting to him. Xander calls her the most loving and supportive partner. Xander says he can’t wait to come home to her and Victoria. Sarah promises not to go back to their apartment until he’s with them, but notes that it’s chaotic at the Kiriakis Mansion with Doug, Julie, Chad and the kids staying there. Sarah brings up that Konstantin is also still there. Xander admits he’s not crazy about Sarah and Victoria being around Konstantin.

Chad tells Stephanie nevermind since it’s none of his business what happened between her and Everett. Chad knows it was a tough time for them when they broke up and went their separate ways while now this. Chad tells her that she deserved better from he and Everett. Chad says if the timing was different and he wasn’t coming off losing his wife, he’d like to believe it would’ve worked out for them. Chad jokes that they will always have the ring toss at six flags where she won the gigantic teddy bear for Charlotte. Chad says it wasn’t Paris, but they have fun. Stephanie agrees that it was great and she was happy to hang out with his kids. Stephanie calls them some pretty good memories. Chad adds that if Stephanie ever does want to talk or vent, he’s there for her or if she ever wants to hang out with him and the kids. Stephanie admits she would like that. Chad calls her a good person and says he’s really grateful for her. Stephanie says she’s grateful for him too. Chad and Stephanie hug as Everett appears and sees them, but then quickly exits.

Nicole tells Holly that she shouldn’t have brought it up as she should be focusing on relaxing. Holly questions how she can relax when she just told her that she and EJ think it was Tate that gave her the drugs. Nicole questions who else could have given her those drugs. Holly flashes back to the party and trying to convince Tate to do the drugs.

Tate insists to Brady that the drugs were Holly’s. Brady assures that he and Theresa believe him but asks how to prove it if Holly won’t admit it. Brady asks if Tate has anything. Tate admits he only has his word so it’s his word against her word.

Nicole apologizes to Holly again for bringing this up. Holly says it’s all just a blur but she knows Tate would never force her to take anything. Nicole asks again who would’ve given her those pills. Holly shouts that she doesn’t know. Nicole says she hates to see her so hurt. Holly says she’s fine and storms out as she heads back upstairs.

Xander asks if Sarah has everything she needs and assumes Maggie is taking excellent care of her which Sarah confirms. Sarah promises to steer clear of Konstantin and says she knows they will be back in their apartment soon as they hug. Xander tells Victoria to take extra good care of Sarah. Xander promises that he will be back home as soon as the Gods smile down on him, which he’s praying will be very soon.

Chad tells Stephanie that when they broke up, he was worried that they would never get to this place that they are at now. Stephanie admits she was too but she’s glad they’ve gotten close again because the friendship is very important to them. They agree that they never want to jeopardize it. Chad offers to walk her home. Stephanie says he doesn’t have to but Chad says he would like to.

Everett stands outside the Horton house looking upset.

Interview with David Morse and Cristiana Dell’Anna

TV Interview!

Alejandro Monteverde, Cristiana Dell’Anna and Daviid Morse of "Cabrinni," in theaters March 8.

Interview with Alejandro Monteverde, Cristiana Dell’Anna and David Morse of the film “Cabrini” by Suzanne 2/27/24

This is such a great movie. I hope you can see it! It premieres March 8 in theaters. The writing is good, the actors are amazing, and the cinematography, costumes, sets, etc. are just outstanding. They did a wonderful job with this historical piece about Mother Cabrini, the first American saint. It is not only educational and powerful, but it evokes feelings about some of the prejudice going on today against immigrants. You don’t want to miss this movie! It was really a thrill to speak with the stars and director.

About the Cast

Cristiana Dell'Anna

Cristiana Dell’Anna

Francesca Cabrini

Cristiana Dell’Anna was born in Naples, Italy, to Lidia Albero, a school teacher and Ettore Dell’Anna, a surgeon. Second of three children, she was expected to follow her father’s footstep and become a doctor, but her call for acting pushed her to follow her dreams and move to London at the age of 20 to study drama at the highly acclaimed Drama Studio London (DSL).

Bilingual since the age of 10, she began her acting career in London, debuting on stage in an English adaptation of the famous Italian play “A Woman Alone” – a fringe production that earned her the attention of London’s Time Out Magazine. When they were both graduating students, Dell’Anna was given the lead role in Moths – the award winning first short film by acclaimed director Rose Glass (Saint Maud). Before moving back to Italy to start shooting the HBO Max hit series, “Gomorrah,” Dell’Anna also appeared in “Third Contact” a critically acclaimed psychological thriller that had its world premiere at the BFI IMAX in 2013. Her role as ‘Patrizia’ in Gomorrah – streaming on Amazon Prime in the US and Canada – has brought her international success, the series being sold to 190 countries around the world.

Her latest Netflix movie “Toscana,” in which she plays the female lead, was the most watched film in the world for two consecutive weeks at the end of March 2022. In 2021, she played ‘Luisa De Filippo’ opposite Tony Servillo, as ‘Eduardo Scarpetta,’ in “The King of Laughter,” directed by Mario Martone. For her portrayal of a fragile woman in love with a man who would not legally recognize their children, she was nominated for a David di Donatello Award as Best Supporting Actress. Dell’Anna won the Ciak d’Oro award in 2022.

She also appeared in Paolo Sorrentino’s Oscar nominated film “The Hand of God.” Initially her role, although just a cameo, was written for an older woman, but when Paolo Sorrentino saw her, he insisted on having her in the cast and changed the schedule to meticulously accommodate her aging through the schedule of film.

Just recently, her talent did not go unnoticed by famous casting director Denise Chamian, who thought her perfect for the lead role in the up-coming US independent feature “Cabrini.” In “Cabrini,” Dell’Anna stars on the big screen across the world as an Italian nun who fought for equal rights in the New York of the late 1800s. The film, which boasts a stellar international cast, also stars John Lithgow and David Morse. It focuses in on female empowerment and on the very contemporary issues of immigration and assimilation.

Upcoming, Cristiana will star in the Italian Netflix series “Storia della mia Famiglia.” Written by Filippo Gravino and Elisa Dondi, and directed by Claudio Cupellini, the drama follows a man on the last day of his life.
