Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Johnny goes to pick up Chanel and talk about their plans but neither decided on where they are going. Chanel mentions that she hasn’t seen Paulina since this morning. Johnny realizes that means they are alone, so might have just solved what they should do tonight.

Tate sits in the park on the phone with a friend, complaining about his parents dragging him back to Salem so now he’s stuck here and there’s nothing he can do about it. He hangs up when Nicole’s daughter Holly, also now a teenager, walks by and drops her bag, so Tate picks it up for her and she calls him a lifesaver.

Stephanie assures Chad that Kayla was just pressuring her to tell her how serious they were and she was just saying that she could see herself marrying Chad someday but she wasn’t dropping a hint that she wants to get married now. Chad doesn’t think they need to rush anything if they like the way things are. Chad mentions having to go pick up the kids from Doug and Julie’s, so he’ll see her in a little bit as he then exits.

Alex tells Theresa that he’s just getting settled in at Titan. Theresa points out that he has to eat and questions him turning her down for work. Theresa guesses it was pity sex in Greece then after all.

Paulina and Kate sit together at the Pub. Paulina jokes about dating her husband but she hopes they don’t go their separate ways tonight as Abe is definitely coming to her place and she’s so damn nervous about Abe not wanting to remember that she’s his wife. Kate encourages that Abe has lost his memory, not his mind. Paulina decides she better get home to start cooking. Kate encourages Paulina to let Abe know how lucky he was and is going to be to share a life with her. Paulina thanks Kate for the pep talk as they hug. Paulina then exits the Pub.

Abe sits in the town square, reading an article about Body & Soul. Nicole approaches and hopes she’s not interrupting. Nicole knows he doesn’t remember her but she’s glad they ran in to each other because she’s been meaning to come see him. Abe acknowledges who she is and that she has a daughter named Holly. Nicole gets excited, thinking that means Abe has his memory back.

Holly thanks Tate as they introduce themselves to each other. Holly asks if he goes to Salem High. Tate explains that he used to live in Salem but he moved away and now he’s back. Holly notes that he doesn’t sound too happy about it. Tate admits he wasn’t at first, but maybe it won’t be so bad. Holly asks what brought him back. Tate responds that he got in some trouble at school, so his parents brought him back to straighten his life out as his dad thinks he’s way too much like his mom.

Alex assures Theresa that it was not pity sex at all as he wanted to be with her and promises her a first date soon but tonight, he has work to do. Theresa reluctantly accepts that. Alex promises again they will have that date. Theresa suggests putting that in writing. Theresa then ponders if Alex is saying no because he thinks maybe she’s just after his money.

Johnny and Chanel kiss until Paulina comes home. Paulina says she’s happy to see them back together again, but they’ll have to take this some place else because she’s got a date tonight.

Nicole questions Abe sitting here reading his tablet, when he should be dancing in the streets over having his memory back. Abe thinks she’s getting ahead of herself and reveals that he’s sorry, but he doesn’t remember her or any of his life before waking up in the hospital. Nicole points out that he knew her name and her daughter’s name. Abe responds that’s because of his education since when he moved in with Steve and Kayla, Kayla was showing him photos of people from his past and told him about who they are and their lives. Nicole guesses she did get ahead of herself and asks what else Abe knows about her. Abe recalls that they were friends. Nicole responds that Abe has been like a father to her and she’s missed him very much.

Alex questions why he would suddenly think Theresa is after his money. Theresa thinks he’d be a fool for it to not cross his mind. Alex asks if she’s trying to get him to not trust her. Theresa says she’s just reminding him that they talked about going out before she knew about his inheritance and that she had no idea he was Victor’s son when they slept together. Theresa thinks back to reading the letter and then hiding it back in the briefcase when Alex and Brady came home. Alex tells Theresa that it didn’t occur to him that she could be gold digging. Theresa tells Alex that he has no excuse to blow her off then. Alex reminds her that he has to work. Theresa argues that it’s after hours and he needs to relax and enjoy a little bit. Theresa tells him that he can work tomorrow.

Tate tells Holly about how he pulled the fire alarm at boarding school and caused the sprinklers to go off in every classroom which caused $50 thousand in damages, so now his parents are trying to get him a job as a dishwasher. Holly suggests maybe it was good she dropped her bag as she pulls out a joint and remarks that it sounds like Tate needs to light up and forget his troubles.

Nicole explains to Abe how his son Brandon is her half-brother and Faye was their mother. Nicole notes that Abe loved Faye very much and that’s how they connected. Nicole calls Abe wise, kind, and the person that she would turn to when she felt lost as he was always there for her. Abe hopes he gets his memory back soon since she seems like a very special person. Nicole calls herself very flawed as she’s been known to make bad choices. Abe wishes he could be that guy for her again. Nicole assures that he will and hopes that Abe will be a big part of her baby’s life. Abe notes that Holly must be excited about having a brother or sister on the way. Nicole is unsure since Holly is a teenager and supposes she’s excited about boys, but she hopes not because she’s not ready for that yet. Nicole asks if she’s keeping Abe. Abe admits he has somewhere to be soon and he’s a little nervous because he has a date with his wife as he and Paulina are having dinner tonight.

Johnny asks Paulina what the plan is. Paulina says it’s a lovely, quiet home cooked dinner. Paulina starts to worry about how she’s dressed. Chanel assures that she’s perfect and encourages her to not to be nervous. Paulina feels tonight is different since they aren’t meeting at a restaurant but Abe is coming here where they once lived together before he left. Paulina worries about Abe leaving for good.

Stephanie calls Kayla and tells her that she and Chad talked about what he walked in on the other night and it turns out that Chad is not interested in getting married anytime soon. Stephanie mentions telling Chad that she’s totally on the same page, but admits that she was lying because she doesn’t want to come off desperate. Stephanie then hangs up as Chad comes home and informs her that the kids wanted to stay at Doug and Julie’s for the night, so it’s just them for dinner. Stephanie asks if he wants to order in but Chad suggests they go out to the Bistro. Chad mentions that he was thinking about their conversation about marriage and he doesn’t want things to be weird. Stephanie assures they are good and that she doesn’t want to rush in to things either.

Alex makes a call and tells Theresa that he got them a reservation at the Bistro. Theresa jokes that he needs an assistant that can do that. Alex says maybe next time. Theresa asks if that means there will be a second date. Alex says he’s down for that, even though he’s not sure about one thing. Alex then questions if Theresa is not using him to make Brady jealous. Theresa tells Alex that she and Brady just picked up their son from California because he got kicked out of school and Brady blames her. Theresa adds that if Alex flew with them on the plane, he would not be questioning her feelings for Brady since they got in a fight about everything. Alex questions what Tate did to get kicked out of school. Theresa says he said it was just some prank gone wrong. Alex jokes that he sounds like his kind of kid and asks where he is now. Theresa responds that he’s with Brady and that hopefully Salem will be good for him while all the drama will be in the past…

Tate questions where Holly got weed. Holly points out that it’s legal. Tate argues that it doesn’t mean they let teenagers buy it. Holly asks if he’s going to remind her of the laws or if he wants to get high. Tate admits he could stand to chill out a bit. Tate then sees there is a cop nearby, so Holly guesses it wasn’t a good idea. Tate suggests they save the idea for later and hang out sometime. Holly and Tate then exchange phone numbers. Holly tells Tate that she still owes him for finding her bag. Tate says she’ll have plenty of time to make it up to him. Holly thanks him again. Tate leans in to kiss her but Holly steps back and questions what he’s doing.

Nicole asks Abe about being nervous to go back to his old place. Abe talks about having to face the weight of Paulina’s expectations, so now he’s concerned about being along there with her and if those expectations might rise to the surface again. Nicole encourages that Paulina won’t pressure him. Nicole talks about how she would come to him with problems and he’d dish out sage advice, so now she will give it a try. Nicole advises Abe to just go with the flow, live in the moment, and to not get caught up in expectations because there are worse things than having a wonderful woman madly in love with him. Abe responds that he may not remember her, but he’s starting to understand why they were so close. Nicole is glad they had this time together and hugs Abe. Nicole wishes him luck and assures they will talk again soon.

Johnny assures Paulina that she’s got this so he and Chanel will stay out of her way. Chanel reminds Paulina that Abe’s memory may be spotty but deep down, his love for her is still there, waiting to resurface again and will be even stronger than before. Paulina jokes that sometimes Chanel drives her crazy but sometimes she knows the right thing to say. Johnny encourages that it’s going to work out like he and Chanel finding their way back to each other because it was meant to be. Paulina hugs Johnny and Chanel, joking that they might need to repeat that to Abe. Paulina says she ha a date to prepare for, so Johnny and Chanel exit.

Marlena joins Kate at the Pub and comments on Paulina and Abe having a date tonight. Kate notes that they are not on neutral territory this time, so it could lead to more than a goodnight kiss. Kate talks about how excited Paulina is but also very nervous. Marlena understands and talks about how full of fun Paulina is. Marlena says even if Abe doesn’t get his memory back, she thinks he might fall in love with Paulina all over again. Kate mentions talking to Chad, who was talking about his feelings for Stephanie. Marlena understands they are very happy together. Kate confirms they are, so she just hopes that continues.

Chad and Stephanie go to the Bistro where Stephanie sees Theresa. Stephanie hugs her and didn’t know she was still in Salem. Theresa responds that things have changed a little. Chad asks what’s going on. Theresa calls it a long story but notes that Tate is in town as well. Stephanie invites Theresa to join them so she doesn’t eat alone but Theresa reveals that she’s expecting someone, as Alex then arrives. Alex tells Chad and Stephanie that it’s good to see them. Theresa explains that Alex was going to spend the night working, but she wore him down and now he’s having dinner with her. Theresa invites Stephanie to the restroom to talk and she can tell her about Tate. Chad tells Alex that Stephanie filled him in on everything going on with him and his family, so he asks if he’s okay. Alex says it hasn’t fully sunk in yet but he’s rolling with it. Alex admits he didn’t see it coming. Chad says for what it’s worth, he went through something similar when he found out Stefano was his father so he’s one of the few who knows what he’s going through. Chad knows they’ve had their issues but says he’s here if he needs anything. Alex tells him that he appreciates it. Chad asks Alex about Theresa. Alex talks about Theresa just having to uproot her son and drag him to Salem, so they are all just dealing with their lives being turned upside down.

Tate apologizes to Holly and says he feels bad. Holly tells him not to worry about and clarifies that she’s cool being friends but she’s kind of involved with someone already. Tate asks about her being with someone. Holly explains that they haven’t gone out yet but she’s pretty sure he’s in to her. They agree to be friends as Tate notes he doesn’t have any other friends in town. Holly promises they will hang out soon and it won’t be awkward. Tate asks if Holly has known the guy for a long time. Holly responds that she’s pretty much known him forever…

Johnny and Chanel go to the DiMera Mansion to watch the movie Clueless. Chanel stops and asks if it’s going to go okay with Paulina. Johnny assures it will go great.

Paulina sets the table at home as Abe arrives. Abe tells her that she looks beautiful and Paulina says he looks great himself as she invites him in. Abe brings a bottle of wine which Paulina calls an excellent choice. Paulina talks about looking forward to tonight. Abe says he is too. Paulina talks about cooking lamb chops because he always liked them. Abe goes to prepare the wine as Paulina smiles and questions how he knew where the glass was. Abe suggests it was just a guess. Paulina points out that Abe bought that after they were married and he decided where to keep it. Abe says he doesn’t remember but Paulina takes it as a sign with more good things to come.

Nicole walks through the town square, talking on the phone with Brandon about how Abe doesn’t have his memory back but sitting with him was like old times. Nicole hangs up and runs in to Tate. Nicole says she just recognized him from pictures and she didn’t know he was in town. Tate says it wasn’t planned as he was kind of forced to come back. Nicole guesses he isn’t happy about it and asks if something happened in California. Tate calls it a long story but he’s sure Brady will tell her all about it. Nicole says she’s glad to see him but she knows it’s not easy moving and leaving all his friends behind. Tate mentions that he did just meet a nice girl in the park. Nicole jokes that was fast. Tate adds that he feels really stupid but she doesn’t need to hear about it. Nicole asks him about it, so Tate explains that he kind of thought the girl was in to him but she shot him down quick and it turns out that she’s in to somebody else.

Holly goes to the DiMera Mansion where she excitedly greets Johnny. Johnny talks about preparing to watch a movie. Holly sits with Johnny as Chanel comes back with popcorn. Johnny tells Chanel that Holly has joined them. Holly questions them being back together which Chanel confirms. Holly is disappointed but claims to be really happy for them.

Chad and Stephanie sit together at the Bistro. Chad asks about Alex and Theresa. Stephanie says she’s not surprised as Alex was Theresa’s type even before he came in to the Kiriakis fortune. Chad hopes it works out. Stephanie remarks that when Theresa is motivated, she wouldn’t want to be in her way. At their table, Alex thanks Theresa for convincing him to come out as it felt easier to bury himself in work. Theresa repeats that work can wait and he needed to get out to have some fun. Alex agrees and thanks her again. Alex toasts to working so hard for this.

Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Bonnie is sitting at the Brady Pub, happiy looking at her phone when Kayla joins her. Bonnie shows Kayla that there’s a warrant out for Vivian on possession of a deadly weapon and violating her parole. Kayla calls that great news and says if Vivian goes to jail, Maggie gets her house back. Bonnie realizes Kayla hasn’t heard and reveals that Victor had a will after all so Maggie kicked Vivian out which Kayla calls even better news. Bonnie notes that it is for Maggie and mentions being tired of the hard mattress at the Salem Inn, assuming that Maggie will be okay with her and Justin moving back in to the Kiriakis Mansion.

Maggie sits in the living room of the Kiriakis Mansion when Justin walks in and greets her. Maggie hugs him and asks how he is. Justin says he is hanging in there. Maggie asks what she can do for him. Justin asks if Maggie will welcome he and Bonnie back to the family fold with Vivian out of the picture. Maggie assures that she will and said she would’ve called him herself but she’s been so distracted. Maggie adds that now that she will be out of the company, she will be spending more time at home than anticipated which Justin questions. Maggie guesses it was karma for taking too much pleasure for kicking Vivian to the curb, because Alex did the same to her.

Stephanie goes to the Titan office to confront Vivian but instead finds Alex at the desk.

Kate goes to see Chad and brings back the flowers he sent for the birth of her grandchild as it turned out that Victoria wasn’t really her grandchild.

Marlena is in her office, talking on the phone with John about Kate finding out that Philip is going to New York with Chloe. Marlena says she tried to talk her down but doesn’t know how effective she was. Marlena asks if John’s heard from Brady since leaving for California.

Brady and Theresa (now played by Emily O’Brien, who had portrayed Gwen) arrive at the airport, returning from California. Brady questions her needing so much luggage while Theresa responds that she’s not just anyone.

Bonnie and Kayla talk about Victor having a will, so Maggie gets to keep her inheritance. Bonnie adds that it came at a price as it cost Justin his son.

Stephanie questions what Alex is doing at Titan. Alex reveals this is his office now and guesses she hasn’t heard that he is the new CEO of Titan. Stephanie thought he worked at Basic Black and asks about Vivian. Alex explains that it turned out Victor did have a will and he left half of everything to Maggie and half to him. Stephanie asks about the rest of his family and acknowledges Victor as Alex’s great uncle. Alex then reveals to Stephanie that Victor was actually his father.

Justin tells Maggie that he will talk to Alex as it’s not right that he fired her. Maggie says they had a misunderstanding as she just assumed that she would remain CEO since Victor passed Alex over in the first place but Alex didn’t see it that way since Victor left him controlling interest, so Alex wanted the top job. Justin argues that it wasn’t Victor’s intent and if it was, he would have put it in writing. Maggie decides it doesn’t matter which Justin questions. Maggie explains that Alex told her that the board was on his side and would select him. Justin can’t believe Alex threatened her with a board vote. Maggie notes that Alex offered to let her stay on in a side role but she decided to bow out gracefully. Maggie thanks Justin but says there’s nothing he can do. Justin is appalled that Victor would do this to all of them.

Brady complains about Theresa on the flight while Theresa wants coffee. She questions Brady being in such a hurry. Brady says he just wants to get home. Theresa reminds him that they are waiting for their son, Tate. Brady wonders what’s keeping him so long. Tate, now a teenager, then joins them and explains that he was talking to the flight attendant about what there is to do in Salem. Brady jokes about him getting her phone number while Tate asks if they can not do this right now. Brady and Theresa both say that Tate gets it from the other.

Kate explains to Chad how Rex knew the baby wasn’t his but volunteered to put his name on the birth certificate to protect her and Sarah from Xander. Kate adds that Rex still has feelings for Sarah, even though he denies that’s the reason he married her. Chad asks what happens now that the truth is out. Kate responds that she is stuck with a daughter in law she can’t stand while Rex is in Xander’s crosshairs. Chad says it sounds messy. Kate notes that now she knows Rex was keeping her at arms length because he didn’t want her to get too close to a grandchild that didn’t really belong to her.

Kayla is shocked to learn Alex is Victor’s son and can’t believe Victor could do this to Justin for all these years. Bonnie says it would’ve been a lot easier if Victor just took the secret to his grave. Kayla asks how Justin is taking it. Bonnie says it’s about how she would expect.

Maggie tells Justin that she thinks Victor knew he would’ve been a better father to Alex. Justin argues that all of this would’ve been easier if the truth came out 30 years ago. Justin can’t explain how it feels to change everything he thought he knew about his family and his son. Justin questions revealing the truth after keeping it secret for all these years. Maggie says it just seems that spending time on Bo’s bedside changed Victor’s thought process but all he did was leave them more questions. Justin declares they are questions they will never get the answers too.

Stephanie questions learning that Victor was Alex’s father and Justin being his cousin. Alex adds that Sonny is not really his brother. Stephanie argues against that. Alex talks about going over every interaction he had with Victor and says he never would’ve guessed this in a million years. Stephanie asks if his will said he wanted Alex to be CEO instead of Maggie. Alex admits not exactly and that’s been a point of contention since Maggie said Victor would’ve made him CEO while he was alive if he wanted him to be CEO. Alex says he may never understand why Victor never told him or waited until now to tell him the truth. Alex guesses Victor thought the money and controlling interest in Titan would make up for the lost years but declares that nothing can make up for the fact that Victor lied to him for his whole life.

Tate tells Brady that the flight attendant shot him down. Brady suggests he focus more on his future because he didn’t just bring him back to Salem for kicks. Tate complains that he got booted out of boarding school for bogus reasons. Brady argues that Tate wasn’t thinking when he pulled the fire alarm. Tate brings up pranks that Brady pulled back in the day. Brady says this isn’t funny and that Tate has to pay for doing something wrong. Brady informs Tate that he’s going to get a job. Theresa argues that he’s just a kid. Brady says that Tate is going to learn the skills and thinks he knows exactly where he’s going to do that.

Kate tells Chad that she doesn’t care if Rex thinks she’s an overbearing mother but she’s not going to let Sarah break his heart, even if he did break her heart first. Chad thinks she should stay out of it or she’s going to make things worse. Chad adds that he’s been through something similar very recently with Steve and Kayla as they cannot wait for he and Stephanie to get married. Chad explains how they got together for dinner and he walked in on Stephanie telling Kayla that she wants to marry him and then Steve came asking what his intentions were. Kate calls that a lot of pressure. Chad doesn’t know how to feel since they haven’t been together that long. Kate asks if he thinks the marriage idea came from Stephanie or Steve and Kayla. Chad admits he doesn’t know and they didn’t get to talk about it. Kate notes that it’s possible that Stephanie was just trying to keep Kayla off her back. Kate then asks if Chad wants to marry Stephanie.

Alex tells Stephanie that he thought Vivian kicking them out of the house would be the worst thing to happen after Victor’s death. Stephanie knows it’s a shock but says there may be some perks to the situation like the job, the money, and the power which are all things Alex wanted. Alex says he did, but not like this. Stephanie guesses they won’t be neighbors anymore as she asks if he’s moving back in to the Kiriakis Mansion. Alex is on the fence since he’s not sure it would be that fun for he and Maggie to be living together. Alex adds that if Justin and Bonnie move back in, that would be awkward too. Stephanie argues that Justin is still Alex’s dad and they still love each other. Alex just doesn’t think he’d be ready to live under the same roof as Justin right now. Alex tells Stephanie that he totally understands if she wants to quit working at Titan. Stephanie assures that she doesn’t and that they are still friends. Stephanie says she’s sorry that he’s going through all of this as she knows it hurts so he doesn’t have to act tough with her. Alex thanks her but admits he’s not really feeling that tough right now.

Justin asks Maggie if Alex mentioned moving back in. Maggie says not yet and senses that Alex likes where he’s living now. Justin admits that he’s not sure he’d be rushing to come back either if Bonnie didn’t hate the Salem Inn. Maggie understands it brings back a lot of complicated emotions but argues that this is Justin’s family home and Victor would want him there. Maggie declares that Alex is still Justin’s son and nothing will ever change that.

Kayla tells Bonnie to tell Justin that she’s thinking of him and if there’s anything she and Steve can do. Bonnie wishes there were but the damage has already been done. Kayla comments on Victor still stirring the pot from beyond the grave and asks how Alex is handling it. Bonnie says that Alex said all the right things to Justin but she imagines it might go to his head. Bonnie adds that now Alex is a very rich and eligible bachelor, so every woman is going to want to get their hooks in to him. Brady and Theresa then arrive at the Pub with Tate.

Justin wishes he was as sure as Maggie that nothing would change between he and Alex. Maggie reminds Justin about Mickey raising Mike Horton as his own for years and when the truth came out that Mike was Bill’s son, it was painful but in the end nothing mattered. Maggie feels that what matters is that Justin raised Alex to be a fine young man. Maggie understands it feels like a terrible loss, but promises he will get through it.

Brady tells Tate that they will see if his uncle is around. Kayla hugs Tate and says it’s been so long, asking if he’s on a break from school. Brady reveals that Tate was kicked out. Tate mocks everyone needing to know that. Kayla introduces Bonnie to Tate. Bonnie welcomes him back to Salem. Tate repeats that he got kicked out of school to make sure everyone knows. Kayla then introduces Bonnie to Theresa as well. Brady asks if Roman is around as he wanted to talk about Tate getting a job. Tate says that’s news to him. Brady explains that Tate caused damage so it’s time that he pays for it. Tate questions the idea of washing dishes. Brady tells Tate that he will do anything that Roman tells him to. Theresa questions if this is really necessary when Tate just moved to a new school in a new town. Kayla mentions that Roman is out so Brady decides he will text him. Tate asks if he can get lunch while they wait. Bonnie says she should go but Brady stops her to ask what was in Victor’s briefcase that the ISA recovered from the wreckage. Bonnie reveals it turns out that Victor did write a new will just before he died to replace the one he destroyed. Brady asks what was in it. Bonnie informs him that Vivian got exactly what she deserved in absolutely nothing which Brady calls good news. Bonnie adds that Victor left half of everything to Maggie. Tate asks if the other half goes to the rest of the family but Bonnie reveals that the other half went to the son that no one knew Victor had.

Alex gets a call at the Titan office and agrees to answer questions, confirming he is the new CEO of Titan and that it turns out he is Victor’s son. Alex is then asked how he feels about it and says no comment.

Chad tells Kate that he never really thought about marriage until he overheard Kayla and Stephanie talking about it. Kate points out that they are living together and Stephanie is helping raise his children. Kate assures that she’s not trying to pressure him as she knows what a big step it was for Chad to get serious about Stephanie in the first place. Chad calls it still kind of strange to be living with someone who isn’t Abigail since it’s only been 16 months and he thought he would spend the rest of his life with her. Kate says she’s really sorry and encourages him to take all the time he needs. Stephanie then comes home and asks if she’s interrupting something. Chad hugs her and welcomes her home. Kate assures she’s not interrupting and claims the flowers she brought back are from Chad to Stephanie. Kate then tells them to have a great day and exits. Stephanie asks Chad about the flowers. Chad confesses that he bought them for Kate but they are Stephanie’s now. Stephanie jokes that she’s not offended by second hand flowers. Chad says he missed her like crazy and asks if she told Vivian that she quits. Stephanie responds that she stopped by Titan, but it didn’t go as planned.

Justin thanks Maggie as he’d forgotten she lived through a similar experience. Maggie points out that in the end, Mickey and Mike were father and son in every way that counted just like Justin and Alex. Maggie understands that Justin is unsure about moving back in since right now, the family is hurting which is why she feels it’s so important for them to rally together.

Brady is shocked to learn that Alex is Victor’s son. Bonnie jokes that somebody needs to make a family tree. Bonnie says it was a pleasure meeting Tate and Theresa. Kayla says to send her love to Justin as Bonnie exits. Brady questions Victor announcing in his will that Alex was his son. Kayla explains that there was another letter in the briefcase from Anjelica to Victor. Theresa asks what kind of letter. Theresa then thinks back to when she broke in to Victor’s briefcase and found the stack of letters, while she pretends to not know what was inside. Tate says there’s a lot going on and suggests they focus on getting a job another time. Brady says nice try. Tate wonders if Maggie will share her fortune with the rest of the family. Tate asks Theresa to talk to Brady about the whole dishwashing thing. Theresa says there’s actually something she has to do. Brady questions her leaving now. Theresa tells Brady to go ahead and wait around for Roman. Theresa adds that she assumes Tate will be staying with Brady at John and Marlena’s while she figures out her living situation. Brady says he has to run it by them first. Theresa then exits the Pub. Tate questions Theresa staying in Salem. Brady says they haven’t really discussed it. Kayla notes that Stephanie did mention it. Tate questions why Theresa would leave now that he’s here and where else she would be. Brady and Tate sit together as Tate asks if he gets to eat at the Pub for free if he works there. Brady tells him no. Tate questions having to scrub dishes and pay to eat. Brady tells Tate that this is not the way he would’ve chosen for him to come live with him, but he’s glad he’s here. Brady offers to drive him to go see Rachel. Tate asks how Rachel is doing. Brady admits he doesn’t know since he doesn’t see a lot of her since Kristen got custody. Tate notes that he hasn’t been in Salem in forever so he’s going to take a walk around town. Brady wants Tate to stay and talk to Roman. Tate suggests he just text him and says he’ll see him later as he exits the Pub.

Bonnie joins Justin at the Kiriakis Mansion with her bags packed and says they are home sweet home as she knew Maggie would say yes. Bonnie hoped Alex might move back in now that the house is 50% his but admits she’s sure he’d be a little uncomfortable. Justin then reveals that Alex just ousted Maggie to take over as CEO of Titan. Bonnie is shocked as she didn’t think he would move that fast. Justin hopes Alex gets over himself soon before anyone else gets hurt…

Theresa goes to see Alex at the Titan office. Theresa brings up Brady humiliating her in Greece while Alex welcomed her with open arms. Alex says he’s glad he could be of service. Theresa mentions hearing what happened with Victor’s will. Alex calls it wild. Theresa claims she had no idea what a bombshell would be in the briefcase that Shane gave her and says Alex must be overwhelmed. Alex admits he is a little bit. Theresa asks if he’s taking care of himself by eating, sleeping, and having fun. Alex says he’s doing his best but Theresa doesn’t believe him. Theresa tells Alex that she’s free for dinner tonight and she gives really good fun.

Stephanie informs Chad about Alex being Victor’s son. Chad is surprised Kate didn’t say anything but guesses she has too much going on with her own son. Stephanie notes that Alex is running Titan again, so she will report to him. Stephanie knows the other night there was some weirdness but Kayla was just pressuring her to tell her how serious they were and she was just saying that she could see herself marrying Chad someday but she wasn’t dropping a hint that she wants to get married now. Chad doesn’t think they need to rush anything if they like the way things are as he hugs her.

THIS STILL NEEDS EXTENSIVE EDITING!

Oh, well, what are you so pleased about? Check this out. A warrant out for Vivian Allemane? Mm hmm. They got that psycho on possession of a deadly weapon and parole violation. Oh, that is great news. Now, if Vivian goes to jail, Maggie gets her house back. Oh, you haven’t heard. Victor actually had a new will.

Maggie tossed old Viv out the door yesterday. That is even better news. Yes. Yes. It is for Maggie, of course. And also, I cannot wait to ditch that rock hard mattress at the Salem Inn for good. Assuming that Maggie is still okay with Justin and me moving back in.

Come on, Maggie. Oh, Justin, how are you? Hanging in there. Hanging in there. Well, what can I do for you? Well, I was wondering, um, actually, Bonnie was wondering, now that Vivian is out of the picture, whether you might welcome us back into the family fold. Oh, Justin, of course. I mean, I’ve been so distracted.

Otherwise, I would have called you myself and urged you to come back. Especially since, uh, I’m gonna be glad for the company. You know, I’m gonna be spending more time at home now than I anticipated. What do you mean?

Wait, you’re out at Titan? What happened? Eh, you know, call it karma. Maybe taking too much pleasure in kicking Vivian to the curb. Because Alex did the same to me.

Vivian, I just got back to town and Chad told me all about your plans for Titan and I want absolutely nothing to do with them, so I am here in person to tell you that I quit.

Kate. Hey, may I come in? Yeah, of course. Draw me flowers? Um, actually those are flowers that you sent me to congratulate me on the birth of my grandchild, but I thought I would give them back and let you and Stephanie enjoy them. Oh, you didn’t like them? I think they’re beautiful, it just turns out that…

Victoria wasn’t really my grandchild.

Oh, hi, sweetie. I’m sorry that I had to get off the phone so quickly, but Kate was in quite a state. Well, she just found out that Philip is going to New York with Chloe. Yeah, well, she’s concerned, you can well imagine. No, I did try to talk her down, I’m just not sure how effective I was. Thanks. Say, speaking of offspring, is there any word from Brady since he left for California?

Welcome to Global Airlines. You only travel in style. Theresa, would you hurry up, please?

Pull your jets, I’m coming already, jeez. Hey, we’re in L. A. for two days. I mean, why would anybody need this much luggage? I don’t get it. Anyone? I’m not just anyone. I’m Teresa Donovan.

Like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

So, Victor did have a new will. Thank God. Oh, thank God. Thanks to the lawyers. Thank Judge Judy, whoever. Maggie gets to keep her house and her inheritance. Wow, that must have been a relief for the whole family. It was, um, although it came at a price. What’s that? It cost Justin his son.

Alex, what are you doing here? Well, according to the nameplate, this is my office. Your office? I guess you haven’t heard. I’m the new CEO of Titan. But don’t you work at Basic Black? And what about Vivian? Well, as it turns out, Uncle Vi Turns out Victor did have a will. He left half of everything to Maggie and half to me.

To you? And what about the rest of your family? I mean, I know Victor was your great uncle and he loved you, but… He wasn’t my great uncle. What?

Victor Kiriakis was my father.

I will talk to Alex. Justin, don’t. This isn’t right. He fired you? Oh, not exactly. Alex and I had a misunderstanding. You see, I just assumed that I would stay on as CEO, since Victor passed him over and gave me the job in the first place. Well, he didn’t see it that way because in his eyes, since Victor gave him controlling interest of the company, that meant he would get the top job.

That wasn’t Victor’s intent. If it was, he would have put it in writing. Oh, well, you know, it doesn’t matter. What do you mean it doesn’t matter? Alex told me the board was on his side. And even if they put it to a vote, that they would select him. He threatened you with a board vote. Well, it wasn’t really a threat.

He offered to let me stay on in a supporting role. But, you know, I decided I would just bow out gracefully. I’m so sorry, Maggie. Are you sure there’s nothing I can do? No, but thank you. Damn! I can’t believe Alex would do this. And I’m even more appalled that Victor would do this. Did you? To me, to all of us.

Should we, uh, get you a motorized cart? Maybe a Sherpa or something? I’m dying at first. I’m just looking for a place to get a coffee. Theresa, we’re on a three and a half hour flight. I think you ran the flight attendant about ten times. Do you still need some coffee? No, I think it was those salty pretzels or something.

Why are you in such a hurry anyway? I want to get home. That’s all. Uh, what about waiting for our son? I don’t know what’s keeping him because he just had a bag in the overhead bin, so I don’t know where he is. Sorry, I was, uh, talking to the flight attendant. You know, the blonde one? Kept offering us snacks.

Yeah, yeah, what were you trying to do, get her number, Tate? No, no, we were just talking, but she, she happens to be from Salem, so I was asking her what kind of fun things there are to do around here. Mm hmm, and then you got her number, right? Can you not? Can you not do this right now?

He gets it from you. Please proceed

to Sarah let Rex think the baby was his when she knew it was Anders all along? No, no, no. He knew from the start and he just gallantly volunteered to put his name on the birth certificate to protect Sarah and the baby. Okay, but did he have to marry her? No, of course he didn’t have to marry her. He wanted to.

He still has feelings for her? Well, clearly. Although he denies that’s the reason he made the grand gesture.

Okay, well, um, the truth is out. So now what? I don’t know. Now I am stuck with the daughter in law, I can’t stand, and Rex is in Xander Cook’s crosshairs. I’m sorry. That sounds messy. Yeah. Except now I know why Rex was keeping me at arm’s length. He just didn’t want me to get too close to a grandchild that wasn’t mine.

My God. All these years. All these years. How could Victor do that? How could he let Justin believe that Alex was his son? That is the burning question. I mean, come on, I get the whole truth will set you free thing and all, but it just would have been a whole hell of a lot easier if Victor had just taken the secret to his grave.

How’s Justin taking it? About how you’d expect. I think that Victor knew you would be a good father to Alex. A better father than he was capable of being. I certainly tried, but all of this would have been so much easier if the truth had come out 30 years ago. I know. I can’t even tell you, explain how this feels.

I mean, everything I thought I knew about my family, my relationship with Victor. My son? And why do it like this? After keeping it secret all these years? It just seems that spending time at Beau’s bedside changed Victor’s thinking. But all we have to go on is what he wrote in the new will. I mean, he left us so many questions.

Questions that we will never get the answers

to. Victor was your father? Yeah.

So, Justin is your… Cousin. And Sonny is not really my brother. Oh, Alex, of course he is. I mean, Vic and Joe are adopted. Did you ever think that they weren’t your real brothers? Yeah, but this is different. It doesn’t have to be. It does, though.

You know, Steph, I keep going over every single interaction I had with Uncle Vic. With my father. And I never would have guessed this in a million years.

So his will said that he wanted you to be CEO instead of Maggie? Not exactly. And that’s been a point of contention right now. Maggie said that if he wanted to put me in this position, then he would have done it while he was alive. Do you think that’s true? I don’t know.

I may never understand why he didn’t tell me. Why he waited until now to reveal the truth.

Maybe he thought all the money and the controlling interests of Titan would make up for all the lost years. Does it?

Sorry, stupid question. How, I, I can’t.

Nothing can make up for the fact that he lied to me. My whole

life. Jade. You’re 16 years old. So what? So what? That flight attendant was probably twice your age. There are, uh, laws, you know, covering this kind of stuff. Relax, okay? We just talked. And when I asked for her contact info, she shot me down. Extreme prejudice, I might add. Oh. Well, at least somebody’s thinking clearly.

I think you need to worry a little bit less about hitting on older women and maybe a little bit more on your future. Here we go. Yeah, yeah, here we go. Because I didn’t just bring you back to Salem for kicks, buddy. Okay, just because I got booted out of boarding school for bogus reasons. Bogus reasons? You, you, you pulled the fire alarm during exams.

Like I already explained, I didn’t think the alarm was going to cause all the sprinklers to go off and cause all that damage. No, you didn’t think at all. Well, that was good. Dad, that was serious. Did you, did you learn how to do that at the University of Fatherhood? The University of Fatherhood? Are you serious?

What is he talking about? We don’t need to go over this again, Brady. I think we do. Yeah. Obviously we do. Yeah, maybe we should go over it. Maybe we should go over some of the pranks that you pulled back in the day. Like, uh, kidnapping a goat and, uh, letting it loose in the halls. Well, from what I hear, your father wasn’t really much fun in school.

That’s wrong. I was a lot of fun in high school. And that goat, by the way, didn’t cause 50K in damage. I mean, they do eat a lot. Tate, the bottom line, this is not funny, alright? You did something really bad, you gotta pay for it. Aren’t you rich? I mean, not as rich as you were before you got kicked out of Great Grandad’s will, but still.

I’m not paying for this, buddy. You are. With what money, Dad? I’m 16, remember? Well, you’re gonna do a little something they call get a job. A job? Yeah, you’ve heard of them. Yeah, it’s a job. It’s like you do a task and people pay you for it. They give you a paycheck. Okay, he’s just a kid. He doesn’t have skills to…

He’s gonna learn. And I think I know exactly where he’s gonna do that.

So, I don’t care if Rex thinks I’m an overbearing and interfering mother. Ew. Never. Okay. The point is, I am not going to let Sarah Horton break his heart. Yeah, even if he did break hers first. I think you should stay out of it. Oh, that’s so funny. I don’t remember asking you for advice. I don’t care if you’re asking for it.

I’m giving it. You’re gonna make things worse. Who says? Says me. Someone who’s been through something very similar recently. What have I done to you recently? Surprisingly, nothing. Steven Kaler. Don’t tell me they don’t approve of you and Stephanie. Oh, quite the opposite. They cannot wait for us to get married.

What? Did they say that? Yeah, we were getting together for dinner and I walked in on Stephanie telling her mom, um, Of course I want to marry him. Do they know that you overheard that? Yeah. Yes, you know, she backtracked a bit and put it on her mom, and then Steve came in and basically asked what my intentions were.

Oh, thank God. That’s a lot of pressure. And, and, you know, I don’t, I don’t, I don’t know how to feel about it all because we haven’t been together that long. Okay, so this marriage idea, do you think that was Stephanie’s or Kayla and Steve’s? I don’t know. I don’t know. Did you talk about it? We danced around it a bit, and then, and then she had to go out of town for business.

Okay, so then it is possible she was just humoring her mom to keep her mom off her back. Yeah, I guess so. Okay, so let’s, let’s just forget about what Stephanie wants for a minute. Who do you want? Me. Mm hmm. You? Do you want to marry her?

I thought Vivian kicking us out of the house would be the worst thing that would happen after Victor’s death.

I know this is a shock and all, but… There may be some perks to the situation. You mean the job? The job. The money. The power. These are all things you’ve wanted, right? Sure. But not like this.

So I guess we’re not gonna be neighbors anymore. Why do you moving back into the mansion? Uh. I’m on the fence. Not really sure it would be all that fun for Maggie and I right now to… together. And if my dad and if Justin and Bonnie decide to move back into the house, that would be a little awkward, too.

Why? He’s still your dad, Alex. You two still love each other. Yeah. Well, I just don’t think I’d really be ready to live under the same roof with him right now.

Plus, if I move out of the apartment, I wouldn’t be able to use your shower anymore when mine craps off. I know you’d miss the hell out of that. Oh, desperately. Steph, if you still want to quit working for Titan, I totally understand. I don’t want to quit. Are you sure? We figured out our stuff. We’re friends, right?

I’d like to think so.

Alex, I’m really sorry you’re going through all of this.

I know that it hurts. You don’t have to act tough with me.

Thank you. But I’m not really feeling that tough right now.

Has Alex mentioned whether he wants to move back in? Not yet. I get the sense that he likes where he’s living now. To be honest, if Bonnie didn’t hate the Salem Inn, I’m not sure I’d be rushing to come back here either. Brings up a lot of complicated emotions, I’m sure. But, Justin, this is your family home.

Victor loved you. He would have wanted you here. And Alex is still your son, Justin. Nothing will ever change that.

Well, please, tell Justin that I’m thinking of him. And, and if there’s anything that Steve and I can do… Oh, thank you. I wish there were. But, the damage is already done.

God, look at Victor, still stirring the pot from beyond the grave. You can say that again. How’s Alex handling it? Well, he said all the right things to Justin, you know. That he’d always be his dad, etc, etc. But, knowing him, now that he’s the heir to the great Victor Kariakis, well… I’m afraid it might go to his head.

I imagine you’re right, , and now he’s a very rich, very eligible bachelor. I mean, not that he wasn’t already a hot commodity, didn’t judging by all the action he was getting, but now every single woman in town is gonna want to get their hooks in there. Know what I mean?

Oh,

I wish I was as sure as you, Maggie. That nothing will change between me and Alex. Justin, do you know the story of Mickey and our son, Mike? Oh, yeah. I’ve heard it. Yeah, I’ve heard about it. Well, let me refresh your memory. Many years ago, Mickey’s first wife, Laura, had an affair with his brother, Bill. Mickey wasn’t physically able to be a father.

So, when Laura became pregnant… Everyone knew it was Bill’s child. Everyone, except Mickey. Mickey raised Mike as his own for years. And then finally when the truth came out, it was difficult and was painful at first. But you know in the end… Nothing mattered. I mean, Mike, it was still and always was his son.

Biology, it didn’t matter. Go on, Iota. And it’s not going to matter with you, Justin. Because what matters is that you’ve raised Alex to be a fine young man. Some of the time. Justin, I understand that this feels… Like a, a, a terrible loss. Now trust me, you’re gonna get through it. I promise.

Let’s see if your Uncle Willem is around. Tate? Is that you? Hey Aunt Kayla, it’s good to see you. Oh my god, wow. It’s been so long. Are you on a break from school? Kinda. He was asked to leave. It was a mutual decision. He was kicked out. Thanks. Dad, do you want to post it on all your social media? I mean, I’m sure every stranger in this town would love to know.

Uh, Bonnie, Bonnie, do you know, uh, Brady’s son, Tate? Bonnie, Lockhart Kiriakis. I mean, father’s cousins. Um, we’re related. I think. Anyway, welcome back to Sam! Thanks. Just to make sure that you know, I got kicked out of school. Yeah, I heard.

Uh, and, and, uh, and this is, uh, my niece, Theresa, uh, Kimberly’s daughter, if you forgot. Hello, Bonnie. Hello. Theresa, always good to meet another Brady. So, as we’re roaming around, I wanted to talk to him about this one getting a job here. Ah, joining the family business, huh? Yeah, yeah, it’s news to me. Well, he caused a little damage at school before he left, so it’s time that he pays for it.

What am I even going to do around here? Wait tables or something? No, you’re not going to wait tables. You have to be 18 to wait tables, so you’re probably going to bust tables or you’re going to wash dishes. Wash dishes? Anything. That Roman says you’re going to do, you’re going to do. Well, I mean, at least you won’t be scaling the fish like I had to do when I was your age.

Is this really necessary? He’s going to be working till he’s 90 at the rate that Roman pays him. But he will work till he’s 90. Come on, he just moved to a new school in a new town. He can multitask, Teresa. Uh, well, you know, Roman actually is out. Okay, then I will text him. Can I at least get some lunch while we’re waiting?

Yeah, sure, sure, sure. Grab a menu. I should go. Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie, wait up. I did want to talk to you. It’s been on my mind and I’ve been a little distracted with what’s been going on lately. So, my grandfather’s briefcase. What was in it? The one the ISA recovered from the wreckage. Oh, uh…

As it turns out, uh, Victor did write a new will just before he died. To replace the one that he destroyed. Mm hmm. Um, okay. Is that it? For starters, uh, Vivian Alamein got exactly what she deserved. Absolutely nothing. Good. That is good news. Uh, and then, um, he, he left half of everything to Maggie. Even better.

So, so does that mean that the other half goes to the, uh, to the rest of the family? No. The other half went to the son no one knew he had.

Alex Kyriakis.

Sure, I’ll answer some questions. Yes, I am the

new CEO of Titan.

Yes, it turns out I am Victor’s son.

How do I feel about it?

I mean, honestly, I, I, I never, I never really thought about marriage until I overheard them talking about it. Really? You’re living together, she’s helping you raise your children, right? Oh, now you’re starting to sound like Caleb. Oh, no. Don’t. Please, I am sorry, because I don’t want you to think that I’m trying to pressure you at all.

Okay? Especially because I know what a big step that was for you to think about getting serious about Stephanie in the first place. Yes, it was a, it was a huge step. And honestly, it’s still kind of strange living with somebody who isn’t Abby. And she’s only been gone for 16 months, and I thought I was gonna spend the rest of my life with that woman.

I know. I’m sorry. I really am. You have to take all the time you need.

Oh, hi. Hey. Am I interrupting something? Hey, welcome home.

Hey, thanks. Good to be home. Hi, Kate. Hey, Stephanie. And of course you’re not interrupting. Oh, never. Did you see these flowers? These beautiful flowers that Chad got for you? Ooh, beautiful. Anyway, I should be going. You… You have a great day. Hey. Bye. Thanks, Kate. Goodbye. Um, the flowers are amazing. What’s the occasion?

Okay, I gotta, um, I have to confess, actually, um, I bought them for Kate. But they’re yours now. I’m not offended by secondhand flowers.

I missed you like crazy. Same. You got my text? Yeah, did you uh, tell me when you quit? I stopped by Titan, but it didn’t exactly go as planned.

Thank you, Maggie, for that perspective. I’d forgotten that you lived through a similar experience. It wasn’t perfect, but in the end, Mickey and Mike… Well, it was a beautiful love story. And they were father and son in every way that counted. Just like you and Alex. But I know why you’re not sure about moving back in here.

It’s not that I don’t appreciate your offer. I know. But right now this family is hurting. Which means it’s so important. That we rally together. Please?

Oh, uh, hold on. Alex is Grandad’s son? Wait, wait, so does that change who he was to me? No. No, no, Tate. You’re, you’re good. See, um, Brady’s your dad. And his mother was, um, Somebody needs to make a family tree. You know? Oh, now I really gotta go. Okay. Uh, pleasure to meet y’all, alright? Listen, love to Justin, okay?

Thank you, honey. Okay. Love you. Bye. Gotta go. Kayla, I just need to get this straight in my head. My grandfather announced in his will that, that Alex was his son? No, no, but there was to Victor.

A letter? What kind of letter?

Oh!

Wow, I thought that that briefcase was going to have, like… On the net for prison students. Anyway, it seems like there’s a lot going on around here. Maybe we should focus on this whole job thing later. Yeah, yeah, nice try. Do you think that uh, Aunt Maggie is going to share her new fortune with the rest of the family?

You pay for the sprinklers. Nah, again, that’s a really nice try. Mom, can you talk to dad about this whole dishwashing thing? Um, you know, actually, uh, there’s something that I have to take care of myself. Seriously? You’re leaving? Right now? Yeah, but you, you should wait here for, for Uncle Roman. You don’t need to stick around, do you?

No, we’ll be, we’ll be fine. Oh, really? I assume that Tate will be staying with you at John and Marlene’s while I figure out my living situation. Theresa, I gotta run and buy them first, obviously. Bye, love you, love you. Bye, love you. Yeah, thanks, alright. Did she say her living situation? Like she’s staying in Salem?

Shh. We hadn’t really discussed it. Right. Well, Stephanie told me that Theresa did mention it. And, I mean, now that I’m here, why, why would she leave? I mean, like, where else would she want to be?

So I get to eat here for free, right? Like, whenever I want? No. Not exactly, no. So I have to scrub dishes AND pay? Hey, listen. Listen. This is not the way that I would have chosen for you to come live with me, alright? But I want you to understand something. I am actually very happy to see you, and I’m glad you’re here, buddy.

And, and, and Rachel, my god, she’s still looking forward to seeing her big bro. I, I can, I can drive you there. Let’s go. How’s she doing? Thanks for asking. I’ll tell you, I don’t really know how she’s doing because I don’t see a lot of her since Kristen got custody. So, I’m her way in, huh? No. Tate, no. No, no.

It’s cool. It’s cool. We don’t have a house. Really? Where are you going? Where are you going? I haven’t, I haven’t been to Salem in forever. I thought I’d, I don’t know, take a walk around the neighborhood. Unless I’m on lockdown or something. No, you’re not on lockdown. It’s fine. I just, I would like for you to see your Uncle Roman so we can talk to him about this.

You can just text him. You can just text him. I’m gonna go. I’ll see you later, though. Have a good night, Dad. Yeah. See you in a bit. Whoa, that was fast. Oh, yeah, I had the bags in my car. We all knew Maggie would see us. Home sweet home. Yeah. You know, um, I was thinking that, uh, Well, I was hoping that maybe Alex might move back in.

I mean, now that the house is 50 percent his, I’m sure he’d be a little uncomfortable. Yeah. Considering he just ousted Maggie to take over as CEO of Titan. What? Mm hmm. Oh, no, he didn’t. Oh, no. Yes, he did. Yeah, I thought maybe he might get a little big for his bitches. I just had no idea it would happen this fast.

Yeah, let’s just hope that he gets over himself soon, before anyone

else gets hurt. Hello, Alex. Teresa, you’re back. How’s Tate? He’s okay. With his dad. You know, the guy who humiliated me in Greece, if not for you, who welcomed me with open arms, would have made my trip a total disaster. Well, I’m glad I could be of service.

Speaking of Greece, I, um, heard what happened, you know, with your great uncle’s will. It’s wild, right? I mean… Look at me. Yeah, right, I know, look at you.

And obviously I had no idea that that bombshell was in that briefcase that my dad gave me. You must be, you must be so overwhelmed. Yeah, a little bit. Are you taking care of yourself? Are you eating? Are you sleeping? Are you having fun? I’m doing my best. I don’t believe you.

I will tell you what. I’m free for dinner tonight. And I have been told that I give really good fun.

What do you say? So Alex is Victor’s son? Apparently.

I’m surprised Kate didn’t say anything. She may not know yet. Yeah, she probably got too much going on with her own son to worry about Victor’s. So, is he running Titan again? Yep. You gonna report to him? Yep.

Hey, listen, I know, um, the other night there was some weirdness. Yeah, look, about that. Like, like I said, my mom was pressuring me to tell her how serious we were. All he was saying when he walked in was that I could see myself getting married to you. Someday. It’s not like I was dropping a hint that I wanted to get married to you now.

I mean, good. But I, I, I… I don’t think we need to rush anything. I mean, I like the way things are. Don’t you? Absolutely.

Nate: How does it feel to be back here?

Mamie: A lot of memories. Some of them, I will always cherish. Others… but today, we are here to celebrate.

Traci: Mamie! Oh, mamie. Hi. Hi, nate. I am so glad that you could be here today.

Mamie: So am I. Our jackie certainly looks happy.

Traci: Yes, he does. I think he has finally found what he’s been searching for.

Mamie: Well, if that’s true, then it is indeed a glorious day.

Jack: Could I have your attention, please?

Traci: Oh, excuse me.

Jack: Diane and I would like to thank you all for coming to this celebration of our recent marriage, but before the festivities really begin, we’d like to do something a little special, uh, with the help of our son. I love this woman so much, I wanna marry her all over again. Right here, right now, with all of you as witnesses.

Abby: Oh, yay!

[ Attendees clapping ]

Nikki: Oh, how fun.

[ Attendees clapping ]

Tucker: Hey.

Audra: You want me to, uh, reignite the fire with kyle? And then what? You can’t just send me a text like that without some explanation.

Tucker: I didn’t think I would need to provide detailed instructions on how to go about it.

Audra: I’m more curious about the why part.

Tucker: Just trust me.

Audra: Okay, that’s gonna be a little difficult without more intel, okay? And wherever this is going, I’m not sure I like it.

Tucker: You seemed to be liking it quite a bit when I walked in on the two of you a while back.

Audra: Oh, my god.

Tucker: How hard could it be to recapture that? And why wouldn’t you want to?

Audra: Okay, let’s forget for a second what would be in it for me because I know you couldn’t care less. What’s in it for you?

Jack: You ready?

Kyle: Oh, I’m a licensed professional of the internet variety. Are you ready?

Jack: You bet.

Diane: All right. Let’s do this.

Kyle: All right. Dearly beloved, we are gathered here in the sight of god and all of our family and friends and any wedding crashers to celebrate this couple, my parents, as they renew their vows. That’s your queue.

Jack: Oh. I feel so lucky, so blessed that we found our way back to each other. I never thought I could feel this kind of joy again. And it’s all because of you. I thank god for it every day. For you, for the way you love me. I promise to always be worthy of that love. I promise to be your partner in all things. Your friend, your confidant, your home. With all my heart, I love you. Now and always.

Diane: Jack, you are such a– a kind, patient, compassionate man. You’ve changed my life. I’m grateful every day for how much you love me and you don’t just– you don’t just say the words. You– you show me what it means to be a true partner in– in everything you do. So, I promise before god and everyone here that I will always be there for you. To love and support you, to– to comfort you. To fight for you. To be your home. Every day, every moment. As long as you will have me.

Kyle: You know, I– I can’t think of a better place for you to be making this commitment to each other. I mean, it’s our family home. A place that holds so many memories, so much love. So dad, do you take this woman to be your wife? Do you promise to love her and cherish her, and protect her, and stand by her side, no matter what life throws at you, from this day forward?

Jack: I do.

Kyle: And mom, do you take this man to be your husband? Do you promise to love him and cherish him, and protect him, and stand by his side, no matter what life throws at you, from this day forward?

Diane: I do.

Kyle: Well then. By the power vested in me and the internet, and the state of wisconsin, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the groom and vice versa.

[ Attendees cheering ]

Audra: I’m guessing you want me to reconnect with kyle so I can use him. You expect me to manipulate him into doing something that benefits you.

Tucker: Not just me, us. We have a common goal, remember? Just do what I ask, we’ll all benefit.

Audra: I don’t like taking orders about my personal life.

Tucker: I’m not giving you orders. I’m encouraging you to follow your bliss.

Audra: Oh, my bliss? Yeah. Where does that lead me? Us?

Tucker: You know the plan.

Audra: Kyle was never part of the plan.

Tucker: Maybe kyle was always part of my plan.

Audra: Oh my god, this is infuriating.

Tucker: All shall be revealed in good time, my dear. Meanwhile, you help move things along. Have a little fun in the process. Hey, you keep your eye on the prize, jabot. We’re gonna take over that company and you are gonna step in and you are gonna run it. And I’m gonna be on the sidelines. I’m gonna cheer you on. I’m gonna advise you. Kyle, he’s just a tool, man. Don’t worry about kyle. He’s a means to an end. Unless of course, he means more to you than you let on.

Audra: It’s not kyle I’m worried about.

Tucker: What then?

Audra: You know this, it’s all starting to feel like a desperate act than a plan B. Which makes it all seem less and less likely you can actually pull this off.

Jack: Thank you, sharon.

Sharon: Congratulations.

Traci: Well, you look ridiculously happy.

Jack: I think I am ridiculously happy.

Traci: Congratulations.

Diane: Aw, thank you, traci.

Nikki: That’s traci abbott, jack’s sister.

Claire: The author.

Nikki: Mm-hmm.

Claire: She’s a fantastic writer.

Nikki: And an even better human being.

Mamie: Jack, what a wonderful surprise. An impromptu wedding?

Jack: Made all the more lovely by you being here.

Mamie: Why, you look quite dashing. Almost as handsome as his father.

Diane: Oh, I have to disagree. I think my husband is the most handsome man in the world.

Mamie: Oh, I can see that. And you, I can see that same twinkle in your eye that you used to have when you had to have things your way.

Jack: I can’t help it, mamie. I am on top of the world.

Mamie: May you both be as happy as you are now all the days that you’re together.

Nikki: That’s mamie johnson. She worked for the abbotts for years and became an integral part of the family. She recently acquired a stake in chancellor-winters, but not a lot of people were happy with that.

Nate: Jack, diane. Congratulations.

Jack: Thank you, nate.

Nate: I am honored to have been a part of this special occasion.

Diane: Oh, we’re happy you’re here.

Nikki: Nate hastings, son of mamie’s niece, olivia. He is currently the coo of newman enterprises.

Devon: Jack. Congratulations to both of you. If I’d have known there’s gonna be a wedding, I’d have come better prepared.

Jack: Well, that’s why we made it impromptu.

Diane: Yes, we wanted it to be simply about us and our happiness, and share it with all of you.

Devon: Oh, thank you.

Nikki: Devon winters, the winters half of chancellor-winters.

Nate: Jack is clearly thrilled you’re here today. After all, you were a surrogate mother to him and his sisters growing up.

Mamie: Well, it was hard on them when dina left.

Nate: Then you have us, your other family, all in the same place. How does that feel?

Mamie: Like I’ve been blessed with a really rich and fulfilling life and with the capacity to hold all of that love in my heart. I’m not feeling any tension, if that’s what you’re asking.

Nate: Maybe not about your personal relationship to those in attendance.

Mamie: I was wondering when you were gonna get around to asking me about my investment in chancellor-winters.

Nate: What is really going on with that?

Abby: This was such a beautiful idea. Congratulations, you guys.

Jack: Thank you. Thank you.

Diane: And thank you for being so supportive of our relationship, even though I know it puts you in a difficult position with your mother.

Abby: You make him happy. And that’s what I want, for both of you. I’m just sad that this whole blow-up between my mom and tucker kept her from being here.

Diane: Yeah, I’m happy things are better between jack and ashley, but I really doubt she would have come back to celebrate the two of us getting married. I think– I think the best I can hope for with her is that she’ll tolerate me.

Abby: Well, I hope that she proves you wrong, that she’s capable of more.

Jack: I hope so too.

Summer: Thank you.

Kyle: Okay. Hey, I just checked on harrison. His fever’s down, but he’s out like a light.

Summer: He was so excited about today. Poor thing. I mean, the tears when he realized that he was sick. Sleep is the best thing for him right now.

Kyle: Agreed. Well, this is going well.

Summer: Yeah, you are really getting the hang of this whole marrying people thing. I think it could turn into a solid side hustle for you.

Kyle: Yeah. The moonlighting minister. I’ll keep that in my back pocket. But it was nice to be involved in that way.

Summer: Yeah. They seem really happy, in love.

Kyle: They do.

Summer: Ah, I’ll check on harrison in a bit.

Kyle: Okay. Hey, you look great.

Summer: Thanks. You do too. Wayfair has nice prices, so you can have nice things.

Summer: So, when do you officially start as chief of police?

Chance: Tomorrow’s my first day. They want me to do a presser with the mayor.

Summer: Oh, okay. You’re gonna be doing a lot of that from now on. The face of the G.C.P.D.

Chance: That’s the worst part. I hate all the publicity. I just want to do the job.

Summer: But you’re excited.

Chance: Yeah, I am. I am. I wouldn’t let myself believe that this would happen. Now, it’s here. So, reality’s kicking in.

Summer: Paul wanted you to step in because he knew that you would be great at it.

Chance: I just keep asking myself if this is the right job for me.

Summer: Are you serious right now? You have literally been chasing bad guys your entire life. You’re a natural leader.

Chance: Well, if being a leader means sitting behind a desk and not being out in the field, doing what I was trained to do, I don’t know, summer. I told myself I would never let this happen. It’s got me wondering, second-guessing myself.

Summer: Could I offer an unsolicited opinion?

Chance: You know what? After dumping all that on you, sure, why not?

Summer: Hey, that’s what friends are for.

Chance: Okay. So, I– I owe you one now.

Summer: That’s not how it works, but, okay. Uh, good to know.

Chance: What’s your opinion?

Summer: I kind of like the idea of you doing less of the actual chasing the bad guys. I really wouldn’t want anything to happen to my new friend.

Nikki: Chance chancellor, decorated soldier. Former government agent.

Claire: Wow.

Nikki: Yeah, he is a genuine hero. Never had any interest in the family business.

Claire: And his girlfriend?

Nikki: Oh, that’s not his girlfriend. That’s my granddaughter, summer. Kyle’s wife. Well, estranged wife. Sadly, they have filed for divorce.

Claire: Well, that’S… I’m sorry.

Nikki: Well, they’ve had their ups and downs, but I still think there’s hope for them. It– it just can’t be the end.

Claire: Why mrs. Newman, you sound like a romantic.

Abby: Things are good?

Sharon: Yeah. Yes. Um, things are falling into place with the new business.

Abby: And you and chance?

Sharon: Um, we’re having a lot of fun together. I– I’m– I’m really excited for him, you know, in his new job. He starts tomorrow as chief of police.

Abby: Yeah. Yeah, that’s a huge deal.

Chance: Yeah, I know.

Sharon: Um, will you excuse me?

Abby: Sure.

Chance: I do what I can.

Sharon: Hi, summer.

Summer: Hi.

Sharon: Oh, this is so much fun.

Nikki: Well, that was a lovely little ceremony. Victor sends his regrets.

Diane: Mm. I didn’t expect him to make an appearance. I’m kind of surprised you did.

Nikki: I need to get used to the fact that you and jack are together. I’ve accepted it.

Diane: Yes. Your friendship is very important to him.

Nikki: It is just as important to me. If you do anything to hurt jack, I will make your life a living hell. And there are many others who will help me.

Diane: Well, that goes without saying and I’d expect nothing less. You know, I’m happy that there are so many people who are so concerned about jack’s well-being, but you don’t need to worry, nikki, because what you fear is not going to happen.

Nikki: I hope that’s true, for jack’s sake and yours.

Tucker: I’m hurt by your lack of faith in me.

Audra: I haven’t lost faith in you. I’m just kind of losing faith in your plan. It has a feel of a losing proposition.

Tucker: Why? Because I had a minor setback? That was out of my hands. Adam defied daddy and didn’t destroy the evidence.

Audra: No. No, he gave it to the abbotts. I’d say that’s one gigantic fly in the ointment or wrench in the works.

Tucker: Ah, I’m not worried.

Audra: Not even a little bit? You know, the abbotts now have information about a singer on your payroll whose crimes were covered up until his tour was finished. That’s information that could bury you. Okay, now, it’s in the hands of the very people you’re going against.

Tucker: Let’s not forget, you and I are inextricably linked in this, right? My problem is your problem.

Audra: Which is why I don’t want to go in any deeper.

Tucker: Now, don’t go all cowardly on me.

Audra: I’m not being a coward. I’m being smart. It’s time to cut your losses, okay? Just admit that adam got the better of you and just make a deal with the abbotts. Which yes, it means you’re gonna have to give up this scheme and leave them alone. But it also means they’re gonna leave you alone and me, your inextricably linked partner. (Announcer) an important message for americans age 50 to 85.

Tucker: Are you turning down my offer to run jabot?

Audra: You don’t own jabot.

Tucker: Not yet. It’s just a matter of time.

Audra: So you keep saying.

Tucker: I’m gonna make it happen, but I don’t need it, you do. We both know you’re hanging on by a thread at newman. Hell, I’m surprised you’ve lasted this long given what nikki feels about you.

Audra: Maybe I’m just that good.

[ Tucker scoffing ]

Tucker: Don’t forget, it’s the newmans. It’s not a meritocracy.

Audra: And I am a survivor.

Tucker: But you need allies right now. You have none. Nate’s looking after himself now that victor’s back in control. Can we stop this game now? You’re gonna do what I ask you to do. You know why?

Audra: Why?

Tucker: Because you’re a survivor. Because helping me helps you. All right? Now that you’ve got that out of your system, you need to go get ready for a garden party.

Audra: At the abbotts.

Tucker: Yeah. Think about it, audra. You and kyle in that incredibly romantic setting. It gives me the warm and fuzzies. Absolutely magical.

Audra: And, uh, what even makes you think they’re gonna let me in?

Tucker: You’re just that good.

Audra: The place is gonna be crawling with security. They’re not gonna let me near the celebration.

Tucker: You’re telling me you’ve lost your sense of adventure too? Audra, you can do this. Huh? Kyle, oof. You want to do it. Stop wasting time and go knock kyle off his feet.

Jack: Thank you for coming through for us today.

Diane: Yes. What you said was lovely.

Kyle: I meant it. I was so happy and I was thrilled to officiate, especially since I missed your first wedding.

Diane: So, I saw you talking to summer earlier. Things looked pleasant. That’s good.

Kyle: Mom, that was us co-parenting. I was just updating her on harrison.

Diane: Well, it’s nice to see the two of you getting along.

Kyle: Don’t read too much into it.

Mamie: You know, it’s one thing for jill to be suspicious of me. And I’ll admit, I rather enjoy it. But I hope that you and lily don’t really feel that way.

Devon: No. No, not at all. We don’T. You just– it caught us by surprise to find out that you were the one that bought victor’s stake in the company because you’ve kept it such a secret from us.

Nate: I think it’s a good thing mamie has a stake. I mean, weren’t you the one talking about how you wanted chancellor-winters to be a family business?

Devon: I used to want that. Yeah.

Nate: I just don’t see why you have a problem with it. Is it because you wanted control of the situation?

Devon: No, I don’t have a problem with it at all, actually. I think it’s fantastic. And I think it’s great you’re gonna be in town more often. ‘Cause lily and I can spend time with you. And my son will get to know his aunt mamie.

Mamie: And that’s the most important part of all of this for me. Family.

Nate: That is something I think we can all agree on.

Mamie: I am determined. I’m gonna help you get past all of this animosity. I’m gonna make sure that the two of you and lily come back together again. You know, life is short and this has gone on long enough.

Nate: I agree. I’m not just accomplished.

Announcer: The young and the restless will continue.

Traci: Kyle, will you?

Kyle: Oh, sure, sure.

Traci: Thank you. Everyone, jack, diane. Thank you so much for this inspired surprise. And kyle, thank you too, honey. Well done. Um, you were talking earlier about this house and how much love it holds and it brought back so many amazing memories and many of them were made with so many of you that are here this afternoon. And some of them with those who are no longer with us. And I, um, felt mother and daddy here all afternoon with us, for this very beautiful occasion. So here’s to you both and your incredible love. May it fill this house to overflowing. Cheers.

All: Cheers. Hear, hear.

Abby: My turn.

[ Abby laughing ] So, as I was listening to your beautiful vows, I was just looking at the both of you and thinking, you didn’t even have to say one word to each other. It was all there in your eyes. The way that you were looking at each other, how connected you are and just how much you love each other. And I am so happy for you both. Congratulations. Cheers.

All: Cheers.

Devon: That was really good.

Mamie: Diane and my dear jack. I’m not sure that I believe that people are destined to be together, but I do know that when love is real and strong, it will find its way. As has yours. I wish you many, many years of happiness.

All: Cheers.

Kyle: Anyone else?

Nikki: Yes. Sometimes, it takes more than one try to make it work. I know that from experience. But there is a reason why two people keep finding their way back to each other. It could be that one of them is trying to escape a mess they’ve gotten themselves into–

Jack: Nikki…

Nikki: I’m talking about love. The kind of love that defies logic. That perseveres in the face of great odds. And despite interference from well-meaning individuals. Jack, diane. My sincerest congratulations.

All: Cheers.

Jack: I’ll be right back.

Guard: He insists he was invited, but he’s not on the guest list.

Jack: You handled it just perfectly. Thank you very much. I’ll take it from here. Well, you’ve got a lot of gall.

Tucker: I– I know how this looks and I can understand why you might be mad.

Jack: I am not mad. I am disgusted, but I’ll be just fine after you leave.

>>Tucker: Could we could just pretend for the moment that we’re on good terms?

Billy: Oh, you gotta be kidding me.

Tucker: Hey, billy, I was just telling jack–

Jack: You know what? I want you to leave, now.

Billy: Jack, can I have the honors, please?

Tucker: Guys, please? Please, please, relax. I come in peace and bearing gifts or gift for the happy couple.

Kyle: No, audra, I don’t blame you for firing me. That’s what nikki ordered you to do. What choice did you have?

Audra: None at all. And what’s with this sudden edge I’m hearing in your voice? Okay, I’ve heard you direct that at other people, but never at me and frankly, I don’t appreciate it.

Kyle: I’m surprised, that’s all.

Audra: At what?

Kyle: At how quickly you were able to turn off your feelings. We went from your hotel suite to distant acquaintances in the blink of an eye.

Audra: Well, I mean, you talk like we had some sort of storybook romance.

Kyle: I thought it meant something.

Audra: Yes, it did. Two consenting adults who were attracted to each other. You know, we had fun. The sex was great and now, we move on with our lives.

Kyle: I see.

Audra: Don’t look so wounded. Your pride might have taken a hit, but your heart, it’s just fine. Look, we both know the truth here. You’re not the love of my life and I’m not the love of yours. That would be summer.

Kyle: Okay. How many times do I have to say it? It is over between me and summer. There’s no hope of us finding our way back to each other.

Audra: Well, if that’s true, you know, which I doubt. I’m very sorry for you.

Kyle: Don’t be.

Audra: Look, kyle. Look, I know that this, okay, was just about you trying to forget how much summer means to you. But if you dig deep and take a long, hard, honest look, I think you’ll discover that you miss her and you still love her. Much more than you’re willing to admit. Nikki: Traci, this is claire grace, my new assistant at newman media.

Traci: Oh, claire. It’s very nice to meet you and congratulations on your new job.

Claire: Thank you. It’s so wonderful to meet you.

Nikki: Claire is a fan.

[ Traci laughing ]

Claire: Echoes of the past is one of my favorite books. I just– I love your work.

Traci: Oh, my gosh. That’s so sweet. Thank you. And we’re really glad that you could join us today.

Claire: Glad to be here.

Nate: Devon. So, aunt mamie was right. Life is too short. We’re family.

Devon: Yeah. And you know, it hurts a lot more when you get betrayed by your own family.

Nate: I apologize for what I did. I own my mistakes.

Devon: I know you did. And I– I forgive you. That doesn’t mean I have to forget, right?

Nate: Abby?

Abby: This is for the two of you to work out or not. I can’t tell devon how to feel about this.

Nate: Look, there’s gotta be some part of you that appreciates what aunt mamie’s trying to do. Wanting to bring the family together.

Devon: Yeah, she’s not talking about you and me fixing our personal issues. She just wants us to work together.

Nate: Her heart is in the right place. But I agree with you, that’s not gonna happen. I am happy where I am at newman.

Devon: Good.

Nate: And it’s not as if aunt mamie had the power to offer me a job if I did want to come over.

Devon: Yeah. I know.

Tucker: Please accept it.

Jack: I’m not interested in your gift.

Billy: Is it ticking, tucker? Because this is either a bomb or a joke?

Tucker: No, it’s just that I’ve been contemplating the situation I find myself in. And meditating about it and searching my heart, and all this–

Billy: This is nauseating, to be honest.

Jack: Please just leave.

Tucker: It’s exhausting. These feelings of– of anger and negativity, they’re really preventing me from letting go and moving on with my life.

Billy: Well, that’s very sweet, very sweet. Appreciate the catharsis. Can we move on?

Abby: Uncle jack.

Billy: Are you getting out town?

Tucker: Hello, son.

Devon: What are you doing here?

Tucker: I’m glad you asked. Even when I was with the people I love,

Mamie: I really want this to be all jack is hoping for.

Diane: Well, your blessing means the world to him.

Mamie: He’s like a son to me.

Diane: And he sure loves you.

Nate: Diane, you look radiant.

Diane: Oh, thank you.

Nate: This has been a wonderful afternoon. Aunt mamie, there is someone I’d like to introduce you to.

Mamie: Well, that will have to wait. I have to go and powder my nose. To be continued.

Diane: I look forward to it.

Nikki: I wasn’t expecting to see you here. I would have thought you had better judgment. Were you even invited?

Audra: By kyle. You know, I was surprised to get the invitation. You know, it seems you were right. He is having a hard time letting go.

Nikki: Well, you wouldn’t have come if you weren’t having a hard time letting go as well.

Audra: You’re right. I don’t want to. You know, I like being with kyle and if you can’t accept that, then we have a problem.

Tucker: I am here to apologize and make peace.

Devon: Well, I don’t think it’s the time or place to do that.

Tucker: I disagree. Uh, jack and diane are celebrating their marriage and the beginning of their new life together–

Jack: And your marriage just blew up.

Tucker: Yes. Yes. And I was filled with hurt and anger when I got back from paris, but I realized that was just causing me more hurt and anger and I don’t want to live that way. What can I do to prove to you that I’m sincere?

Billy: Why don’t you start by admitting you tried to frame me for embezzling money from my family company?

Tucker: Billy, I know nothing about that.

Jack: Then, we have nothing left to talk about. I’ll say one last time. Get the hell out of my house!

THIS STILL NEEDS SOME EDITING!

Lucy: No, I do not have a comment on that either! Ohh! Why? Why are they so rude? They’re just rude. Why won’t they leave us alone?

Maxie: I don’t know.

Well, because there’s blood in the water. But we are not dead yet.

Lucy: W-we’re not. I mean, if we could just come up with a product as fantastic as the Deceptor, we’d be fine.

Maxie: Lucy, that could take months. Maybe even years. I mean, why won’t you just take Tracy’s deal?

Scott: Oh — bite your tongue there, Maxie. Lucy’s got a sliver of the ELQ pie. She’s got to hang onto that!

Maxie: Oh. Okay. Well, I hope that sliver of pie keeps Lucy fed when deception goes under… because after years of breaking our backs and building this company from the ground up, Sasha and I will ultimately end up with nothing!

Brook Lynn: I totally agree. Your venue is perfect. I can guarantee that blaze is gonna sell it out. I can even throw in an opening act for you if you want. I have to call you back.

Alexis: Here’s everything Molly was able to dig up on judge Albert Kim. And this is everything Diane was able to dig up, so we got a lot of work ahead of us.

Gregory: Good. I’m ready. Let’s nail this bastard.

Alexis: Aren’t you all fired up!

Gregory: Well, I’m trying to cultivate a good “go for it” attitude, hoping it translates to skydiving.

Alexis: So researching papers to skydiving. That’s quite a leap!

Gregory: Wow. Really?

Alexis: I know.

[ Knock on door ]

[ Chuckles ] Hi, there.

Finn: Hi. I’m — I’m really sorry to interrupt the fun, but I was wondering if I could steal my dad away for a cup of coffee.

Cyrus: What’s going on? Visiting hours are over. Why am I being brought here during off hours?

Guard: You’ll find out soon enough.

Ellen: I… thank you for bringing down Mr. Renault. You can leave us alone now.

Cyrus: Should I be worried?

Nina: Well, there he is. Hi, handsome.

Alright. I am set. I’m ready to get this wedding going. What about you?

Sonny: Just about.

Nina: What, are we waiting on something?

Sonny: Yes, we are.

Nina: Something for the wedding?

Sonny: You got to be patient. You got to wait a little while longer.

Nina: Well, Sonny, I am the bride, so shouldn’t I know what we are waiting on? And, besides, you said that the staff in Puerto Rico is handling everything.

Sonny: Yeah, but this is something that I could only get in port Charles, and the wedding would not be complete without it.

Nina: What is going on?

[ Both laugh ]

Who’s ready for a wedding?!

[ Nina gasps ] Ohh…

[ Sighs ]

Scott: Listen. I-I don’t want you to worry, okay? ‘Cause your attorney, Vance — top-notch. I’ve seen her in action. Okay? And, besides, you’re like a gladiator. You got your sword out ready to conquer.

Lucy: Thank you. I think. But listen, pal. You know what? We really could lose this case… or deception could go completely under financially before we even get to court. And like you said, I’m a gladiator. I-I’ll be fine. I will survive anything. It’s just Maxie. She is raising three little kids without any support — just her. So if I did take Tracy’s deal, at least Maxie would have a job.

Scott: Y-you can’t let Tracy put the screws to you because of Maxie.

Lucy: [ Sighs ] But I can’t do that to my very best friend in the whole world, not to her daughter and her grandchildren. Felicia — I can’t do that to Felicia. What am I saying? Maxie has become my very best friend in the whole world, too. And if I let her down, I couldn’t live with myself. So I don’t know. I-I just — I don’t feel like I can do it to Maxie, either!

Scott: Lucy, have you got your noggin screwed on straight? You can’t let go of the ELQ stock. It’s the tie-breaking vote!

Brook Lynn: Chase? What happened?

Chase: I got some pretty bad news at the hospital today. Okay. And it is the last thing I ever would have expected or imagined. Now I’m just… sitting here trying to make sense of it… trying to figure out the little things I missed. Brook Lynn, my dad is dying.

Brook Lynn: What?

Gregory: Son, listen. Alexis and I are in the middle of something. Instead of coffee, can we maybe grab dinner later upstairs at the metro court?

Finn: Actually, I was really hoping we could go now.

Alexis: You know what? We don’t need to do this now. Y-you go with your son. He needs you.

Gregory: Are you sure?

Finn: She seems pretty sure.

Alexis: I’m sure. I can — I can sort through it and organize it.

Gregory: Oh, I feel bad about leaving you with all this drudgery.

Alexis: Drudgery to you. Interesting to me. Because I’m gonna find a little nugget that will blow this whole story wide open. Go, go, go.

Gregory: Coffee it is.

Finn: Okay.

[ Mouthing words ]

Nina: I’m still in shock. I am so thrilled. I can’t believe you guys can make it on such short notice. I mean, it wouldn’t have been the same if you all weren’t here with me and Sonny.

Wiley and donna are settled in, playing. Melanie’s got enough books and games to keep them occupied for the rest of the flight.

Willow: They loved the takeoff. Wiley was glued to the window the entire time.

Nina: That’s so great. What about Avery? Wasn’t she able to come?

Pilar called. Avery’s got something wrong with her stomach. She’s sick, so she can’t come.

Nina: Oh, no. And I’m disappointed, but… oh, that’s — that’s so sad. Well, I hope she gets better soon.

Um, hey. When did you arrange for everyone to come? We just decided to do this ourselves.

Sonny: I made the rounds this morning, extended some invitations, you know.

Nina: I knew you were up to something when you left the penthouse.

And Dante sends his congratulations and best wishes.

Nina: Yeah, well, we will miss him and we will miss the family that couldn’t come, but I’m gonna focus in on the family that could. I’m thrilled that you’re here. This is the best wedding present I could ever ask for.

Alexis: Looks like Judge Kim doesn’t miss an opportunity for a high-profile case.

[ Telephone ringing ]

Alexis: Yep. Oh. Yeah. Send her in.

[ Knock on door ]

Alexis: Come on in! Hey. Hi. Carly. Hi. What brings you here?

Carly: Well, Sonny told me that he asked you to look into the judge who gave Drew that ridiculous sentence.

Alexis: Yeah, that’s all here. I’ve been researching that for most of the day.

Carly: Great. Full disclosure — I’m the one who asked Sonny to reach out to you. I also asked Diane to share any information that she’s discovered on judge Kim with you.

Alexis: I’m glad you did. Look, Carly, I have a vested interest in Drew, as well. He’s the father of my granddaughter, and I would like to see him come home to scout.

Carly: Have you had any luck?

Alexis: From what I can tell so far, I think there’s a strong possibility that there has been a miscarriage of justice.

Cyrus: This is a rare and special privilege. Just the two of us in this spacious room.

Ellen: It’s private. Cameras are off except during visiting hours. There’s no record of this meeting… like there would be if you came to see me in my office.

Cyrus: And why, warden, do you require such privacy? Just what is it you have in store for me?

Kristina: None of you have visited the island yet, right?

No, I haven’t.

Nina: You know, Sonny has told me all about it. He’d planned for us to go to the island, but Willow went through what she went through, so I wanted to be with her.

Willow: Even though you knew I didn’t want you there.

Nina: Well, I knew where I had to be.

Kristina: Well, both of you are going to love it. It’s gorgeous.

What’s it like?

Kristina: It’s a hotel and a casino, but there’s a private wing just for the family. And the gardens are just breathtaking.

Nina: Sonny told me about the gardens.

Kristina: Yeah, the smell from the flowers are everywhere. And it doesn’t matter what room you’re in, you can still hear the sea.

Well, this sounds like the perfect spot for a wedding.

[ Chuckles ]

Sonny: I want to thank you, Michael.

Michael: For what?

Sonny: For getting Willow to come to the wedding.

Michael: Well, actually, this was Willow’s decision.

Alexis: Judge Kim’s judicial record is solid. He’s an intelligent and an effective jurist.

Carly: That’s not the news I was looking for.

Alexis: But he has a pattern of interpreting the law in a way that lines up ideologically with special interests… who happen to be the ones that influence who sits on what bench and who gets promoted.

Carly: So Judge Kim rules the way these influential people want, and, in turn, he moves up the career ladder, whether or not his ruling is right or not.

Alexis: Very good. You get it. However, I haven’t been able to prove that there has been any quid pro quo of judge Kim accepting any favors or being unduly influenced by the special interests.

Carly: Well, I can help with that. I just found out there’s proof. And I can get it for you.

Ellen: Cyrus, I’m offended. I’m just doing my job, coming in and checking on your welfare. After all, you’re such a beacon of light to the other inmates. All your spiritual ministry that you deliver. It’s no wonder how we managed before without you.

Cyrus: You know, I do provide a valuable service which reflects quite well on your legacy here at Pentonville. It does, doesn’t it? Do you know how many inmates are engaged in self-improvement as a direct result of my guidance?

Ellen: Spare me the campaign speech. We’re alone, Cyrus.

Cyrus: Spare me your false concern for my welfare and get to the point. Why did you want to see me?

Ellen: Because… I’m out of here.

Maxie: Sorry for my outburst.

Lucy: No, no. Really. You do not have anything to apologize for.

Maxie: Okay. Well, let’s prepare for our staff meeting. We need to at least pretend we have a plan moving forward.

Well, on a happier note, Cody Bell is out of custody and Sasha’s home recuperating from all of her… mental problems.

Maxie: Yeah, I got some of the details from mac.

That is — thank you — good news.

Hey, um, did you have a chance to see Sasha?

Maxie: No, no. I’ve been giving her some space. I figured she needed some quiet time.

Lucy: Right. That — that’s a — that’s a very good idea after this ugly situation.

Maxie: Yeah. She can’t seem to catch a break.

Scott: Well, I heard Gladys hightailed it back to Westport, Bridgeport, some port that she’s from in Connecticut. Well, I guess, uh, you girls have work to do, so I’ll bid you adieu.

Uh, Maxie — we need to prepare an agenda for our meeting.

Yeah, yeah, uh, but that can wait.

For what?

I really, um, have something I need to say.

Brook Lynn: Is Gregory in the hospital?

Chase: Mnh-mnh.

Brook Lynn: Where is he?

Chase: Honestly, I-I don’t know.

Brook Lynn: Well, do I need to call Finn? Does he know what’s going on?

Chase: Oh, Finn knows. So does your grandmother.

Brook Lynn: What? My grandmother knows?

Chase: I am the only one who didn’t know that my father was dying. They all kept it from me like I am a child or like I couldn’t handle it. I-I don’t know. I don’t know.

Brook Lynn: What’s, um — what’s Gregory’s diagnosis?

Chase: My father has… amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It’s ALS.

Lucy: I have been doing a lot of thinking today.

Maxie: Can I go first?

Lucy: Oh. Yeah. Sure. Go ahead.

Maxie: Okay. Great. Thank you. Maybe we should just find a buyer for the 25% and call it a day. At least then we would end up with something.

Lucy: Just hold that thought, okay?

Maxie: Lucy.

Lucy: No, really. Hold the thought. Get the staff together for a meeting. And no agenda necessary.

Chase: When I got home, I got my phone out to research ALS. I wanted to see how this disease was gonna take over my father’s life… how it would progress. I want to know how much time I had left with my dad.

Brook Lynn: That’s understandable.

Chase: But then I started scrolling through photos on my phone, and I saw all these great shots of my dad. Us camping together. Tea parties with violet. Hanging out in the stands at a chuck game. And then all these random shots of us at dinner and… …just watching sports on the sofa. And he looks so great in all of them. So vital a-and young for his age. And… it’s like there was nothing wrong with him. Like nothing ever could be wrong with him. And now… all I can think about… …is that young, vital man, my hero… …my dad… he’s gonna be in a wheelchair. And he’s not getting out of it.

Gregory: I should have told Chase. Him learning I have ALS should have come from me. How did he find out?

Finn: It was, uh — it was by mistake.

Gregory: How does a mistake like that happen?

Finn: He was arresting someone, and he got pepper sprayed, so he came by the hospital to get his eyes flushed out. And afterwards, I told him to wait in the lounge, right? And his eyes were all sort of bloodshot and teary. And Tracy Quartermaine saw him, and I think she kind of jumped to the wrong conclusion.

Gregory: Tracy told Chase?

Finn: Yeah, I’m not — I’m not sure what was said initially, but whatever it was, it made Chase suspicious. I saw them talking across the hub. And by the time I knew what was going on, it was too late. Tracy had told Chase.

Gregory: I can’t believe this. So, obviously, Chase knows that I already told you.

Carly: There’s a regular that comes into Kelly’s, and I’ve been talking to him lately. He’s a pilot for a private jet that belongs to a billionaire named Asher alexander. And the pilot told me the downside of his job is that whenever Mr. Alexander wants to go on a trip and for however long he wants to stay, the pilot must go with him.

Alexis: Tough life.

Carly: Right. Well, the last trip they went on was to an island in the Caribbean. Took a group of guys down there to go deep-sea fishing. Guess who one of the passengers was.

Alexis: Judge Albert Kim?

Carly: That’s right.

Willow: So, what made you and Sonny decide to elope?

Nina: Well, it started with just, ugh, this whole big stack of wedding materials that Olivia delivered to me from the metro court, and it got a bit overwhelming, and I kept putting off going through them.

Kristina: Thank you!

Nina: “Thank you” for what?

Kristina: I am the queen of procrastination. So I find it quite reassuring to know that Nina, the super-organized Nina, is also someone who succumbs to procrastination sometimes, too.

[ Laughter ]

Kristina: What about you, Willow? Are you as organized as you seem, or are you a secret procrastinator like Nina?

Michael: Well, Willow and I discussed whether we should attend the wedding or not. Ultimately, I left the decision up to her. Well, here we are.

Sonny: Michael, come on. We both know it’s not that simple.

Cyrus: You’re “out of here.” Are you going on vacation?

Ellen: No. I’m out permanently.

Cyrus: This seems sudden.

Ellen: There’s nothing sudden about it. I’ve been working towards this for a while, and it’s finally happening. I can’t wait to see port Charles, Sonny Corinthos, and this whole infected place from my rear-view mirror.

Cyrus: Where are you headed?

Ellen: Texas. Land of the free.

Cyrus: Another prison?

Ellen: All of them. I’ll be overseeing all of the federal prisons in the state.

Cyrus: What about me?

Ellen: You’ll get yours.

Maxie: First, thank you, everyone, for coming. Um, I know this has not been the easiest time for us. Lucy and I, we really appreciate you sticking by us and working hard. As soon as Lucy gets here, we have an important announcement to make about the future of deception.

Woman: Why don’t you save us the time and just give us the bad news?

Maxie: Uh, let me — let me check and see where Lucy is. You know what? She — she must be on her way. So let’s just give her a few minutes. Oh! What are you doing here, Scott?

Scott: Beats me. Lucy wanted me to come back.

Maxie: What?

Alexis: You’re certain that the pilot said it was Judge Kim on that fishing trip in the Caribbean?

Carly: Yeah, I wanted to make sure, so I looked up judge Kim’s picture on the court website, and the pilot confirmed it. I mean, unfortunately, the pilot signed a non-disclosure agreement, so he can’t say who flies with him on the record, but…

Alexis: Non-disclosures are my specialty. There’s usually a way around them. What I want to know is, did the pilot give you the date of this trip?

Carly: Dates and times.

Alexis: [ Gasps ]

Carly: Apparently they all went down there to go fishing.

Alexis: So the next thing we do is we check judge Kim’s calendar, see if the dates match and if he disclosed his destination.

Gregory: Does Chase blame you for not telling him?

Finn: Everything happened so fast. But he was definitely upset when he left the hospital. And I don’t blame him for being angry at me. I handled this all wrong.

Gregory: No, no, son. I’m not gonna let you blame yourself for this. None of it. T-this was all on me. This is my disease. And I’m Chase’s father. It was on me to tell my son. It wasn’t your responsibility. I was selfish. I shouldn’t have waited so long and delayed the inevitable for as long as I did. And now, because of me, Chase is paying the price.

Chase: I can’t help but think about the time that I spent in a wheelchair. I mean, I-I hoped and prayed that one day I would recover and walk again. And that day that I stood up for the first time… was one of the sweetest moments of my life.

Brook Lynn: Yeah.

Chase: But for my dad… …he won’t get that recovery.

Brook Lynn: This has to be crushing Gregory. How much do you know about ALS?

Chase: Very little. I mean, I did that ice-bucket challenge a few years ago. At that time, I learned that it is degenerative, that there’s no cure, there’s no stopping it.

Brook Lynn: Okay, well, I’m gonna help you find out everything that we can so we know exactly what we’re dealing with, okay?

Chase: I… I j– I — I can’t. Not right now. I-I can’t even imagine what I’m gonna have to say to him the next time I see him.

Brook Lynn: Okay.

Willow: Yes. I have always been one of those annoying organized people.

Kristina: But admit it. How often are you making to-do lists?

Willow: Almost every night. What? I feel comfortable knowing what I have to do the next day and then being able to check it off as I do it. Which is why Michael and I are so perfect together.

Are you serious? Wait.

Willow: Michael is the complete opposite.

Really?

Yes! Oh, he is so unorganized. He’s a mess. I mean, listen, Michael is a great businessman. He’s brilliant. But organization? Not his strong suit.

Busted.

[ Laughter ]

You know, why don’t I put my organizational skills to good use?

How?

By helping you with the wedding. What can I do?

Sonny: It would have been simple enough to refuse my invitation when I asked you.

Michael: I thought the invitation was for both of us. I mean, I wasn’t gonna speak for my wife.

Sonny: Yeah, but you could have made it clear to Willow that she could go to the wedding but you’re not going. Why didn’t you?

Ellen: You do find a way to make it all about you, Cyrus, don’t you? You’ll be fine. You want to know why?

Cyrus: Oh, I’m sure you’ll tell me.

Ellen: Because I have great trust in your ingenuity. You’re like a cat, Cyrus. You always find a way to land on your feet. But now I don’t have to clean up your messes. My promotion came through, and I’ll be in Texas.

Cyrus: You’re welcome.

Ellen: [ Scoffs ] You always take credit for everything.

Cyrus: God helps those who help themselves.

Ellen: And you definitely help yourself, don’t you, Cyrus?

Cyrus: There is just one more thing before you go.

Lucy: …And I want to thank each and every one of you for all of your hard work. That hard work has made deception the incredible company that it is today. Now, I-I’m sure you’ve all heard — and you’re probably talking about it — that we have been hit with a very frivolous lawsuit, one that threatens the very future of deception. Um, and in saying that, that means that we have to make some very, very difficult decisions. Now, those decisions will affect everybody’s lives in this room. Okay, so, on the table is a deal where we would completely relinquish control of deception and we would only be left with 25% stake. Well, obviously, that is unacceptable. Come on. Look at us. We have worked so very hard and we have sacrificed so much to just give in to some — some corporate bully. So in talking to several legal advisors, um… and at a fairly significant personal cost, there is another deal on the table, one that we will retain 49% of the company. So what that means is, going forward, that deception can go on in perpetuity, improving and growing and being amazing for decades to come. You know, I guess what I’m trying to say is I just feel like deception is more than beauty, right? I mean, we’re sustainability and innovation and inspiration. But you know what we also are? We’re really a family. I mean, to me, you’re all my family, one that I have grown to love and to cherish. And I am not gonna let that get away from me. I am keeping it forever. So what I’m trying to say is nobody’s gonna be allowed to take anything else away from us because we are family, fierce, fantastic. And anybody that tries to fight us, we will battle them, and they cannot win if we all just stick together.

[ Applause ]

Brook Lynn: Chase. I’m so, so sorry. This is terrible news. I love Gregory. He’s so smart and funny, and he’s been so welcoming and accepting of me. You know, the thing I love most about your dad is how much he loves your family. You two have such a sweet bond, you know? You’re so close.

Chase: Just not close enough for him to tell me about his diagnosis.

Brook Lynn: I’m sure he intended to. Look. I have to apologize.

Chase: For what?

Brook Lynn: Tracy. She inserted herself where she has absolutely no business.

Chase: Well, if she hadn’t, I still wouldn’t know that my dad has ALS. Although, if I’m being honest, I kind of wish I didn’t.

Brook Lynn: Would it be okay if I stepped out for a little while? There’s just something I want to take care of.

Chase: Yeah. Sure.

Brook Lynn: What are you gonna do?

Chase: I’ll probably just sit here, collect my thoughts, and maybe do a little research.

Brook Lynn: Okay. I love you. So, so much.

Chase: I love you, too. And thank you for listening.

[ Door closes ]

Gregory: I am such a coward for not telling Chase I have ALS.

Finn: Hey. You are not a coward. Don’t do that to yourself. You’re going through a lot.

Gregory: It was bad enough… admitting the truth to myself and then to you. Ever since I was diagnosed, I’ve just been imagining sitting down and — and telling Chase. Imagining the — the look of pain and fear on his face, watching that perpetual optimistic smile of his fade away. Just been dreading it. Or — I don’t know. Maybe — maybe I’ve just been protecting myself. Because as long as Chase didn’t know, then… some little part of me could stay in denial.

Finn: There’s no right way to do this. But I know one thing. You are a hell of a father. I think you’re the best. And I know you’ll do whatever Chase needs, okay?

Alexis: Bingo! Turns out that judge Kim was on vacation the exact dates the pilot provided.

Carly: So that’s great.

Alexis: What it doesn’t say on the calendar is that he was on a fishing trip in the Caribbean or that he was with a politically influential billionaire. And if I were a betting gal, I would say that he didn’t put it on his tax returns that it was a gift.

Carly: Okay. Is this enough? Is this enough to put pressure on Judge Kim to reduce Drew’s sentence?

Alexis: Depends on one thing.

Carly: What’s that?

Alexis: How it’s presented to him.

Nina: Thank you for your offer to help, but Sonny insists that all we have to do is show up.

Kristina: You know, the staff in Puerto Rico is gonna take care of everything. The staff is amazing. You will want for nothing. And the food. Oh! The chef has a Michelin star, so you’re both in for some incredible meals and desserts. And he is taking care of the wedding cake.

Ooh! I can’t wait.

But, really, if you need any help on the actual day with prep — I don’t know — someone to zip up your dress or — or the whole “old, new, borrowed, blue” thing…

Nina: Oh. The “old, new, borrowed, blue” — not needed here. But I would like it if both of you could help me get ready.

Okay! It would be my pleasure to help.

Michael: When I told Willow about your invitation, I let her know that the choice to attend was completely up to her.

Sonny: I see.

Michael: But she wanted to know how I felt.

Sonny: What’d you tell her?

Michael: I told her that I wanted to come. You know, we’re family. And family should show up for big moments in life. Like getting married.

Ellen: Don’t worry, Cyrus.

Cyrus: Oh, I’m not worried, but our business isn’t finished yet. Everything we discussed is still happening. You just need to sit tight and be patient. I can trust you?

Ellen: Trust? Trust doesn’t mean anything now, Cyrus. I’ve erased all of our interactions, eliminated any trace. We’re done.

Cyrus: Who’s replacing you?

Ellen: I don’t know. And, frankly, I don’t care. I’ve done my part. And now you’re on your own.

Donna and Wiley are all buckled in.

They were asleep?

Yeah. They didn’t even budge when I checked their seatbelts.

We’re almost there.

I’m really looking forward to it. And I think Wiley’s going to have a great time on the island.

Sonny: So tomorrow you’re gonna be Mrs. Sonny Corinthos. We’re gonna start a new chapter in our life. And I cannot wait to see where that leads us.

Nina: Me too. You have made me the happiest woman on earth.

Cyrus: I’m actually sorry to see you go.

Ellen: I wish I could say the same, Cyrus, but I can’t.

Cyrus: I have one final question.

Ellen: Ellen: One more is all you get.

Cyrus: Any word on my friend Drew Cain?

Why in the world would you care about Drew Cain?

Cyrus: The man saved my life like Daniel was saved in the lion’s den.

Ellen: Well, it’s a hard den out there, Cyrus. And not everybody is as lucky as Daniel. But rest assured… Drew Cain will be taken care of. And this time, for good.

Carly: Thank you, Alexis. I really appreciate this. And I know it’s gonna mean a lot to Drew.

Alexis: I’m really happy to help. Do you still have the contact information for that pilot?

Carly: I do.

Alexis: Well, use it, will you? See if you can find out anything more. Anything you can find out will be helpful.

Carly: Do you really think the judge is gonna take the bait?

Alexis: I think from what I know about him so far, he’s gonna have a real hard time resisting talking about himself or bragging about his accomplishments to the press. I need to get him in here for an interview, I need to get him talking, and hopefully he won’t stop. Just give him enough rope. And then we got him.

[ Chuckles ]

[ Knock on door ]

Maxie: Lucy, that was a great speech.

Lucy: I know. Wow. But, hey, seriously, I just — I couldn’t let you and everybody else sink because of horrible Tracy Quartermaine. Not on my watch.

Maxie: Thank you. You’re a great friend.

Lucy: Did you happen to see where Scott went?

Scott: You know, Lucy, this decision is crazy. But it’s my kind of crazy. So… let’s celebrate.

Finn: I’m sorry, you and Deacon are–

Sheila: Are in love. I know. It’s– it’s hard to believe, but we– we couldn’t be happier.

RJ: Luna, are– are you okay?

Luna: I’m fine, really.

RJ: No, you’re obviously upset. I– I mean, you– you don’t have to tell me, but did something happen?

Hope: Thank you, Mom. How did you know I needed that?

Brooke: A mother knows.

[ Both chuckling ] We’ve both been so busy, it’s been hard to catch up with you.

Hope: Hm, well, I’m trying to figure out the kids new schedules, trying to find that rhythm again. I’m working on hard on the new collection for Hope for the future.

Brooke: With Thomas.

Hope: Well, yes, he is my lead designer.

Brooke: Hm. Is that all he is these days? I’m still worried about your involvement with him.

Hope: Well, you wouldn’t be the only one. Finn feels the same way.

Brooke: I don’t quite understand. Why would Finn be worried about you and Thomas? Does he know?

Hope: Oh, no. No. I don’t think he’s aware of my, um… involvement with Thomas past the kiss in Rome, but he does know that Thomas played a big part in the reason as to why Liam ended our marriage.

Brooke: When did you see Finn?

Hope: Well, Kelly actually left her sequin pillow at the cabin and Steffy texted me about it, let me know that Finn was putting together a care package for her and the kids, you know, overseas, so I went by and dropped it off. And then, you know, Finn and i got to talking and it was rather unexpected, but it was… it was nice. Finn and I, we haven’t gotten a chance to spend a lot of time together. He’s a good man.

Brooke: Well, that’s interesting. You talked to him about Thomas?

Hope: Well, yeah. I mean, he doesn’t know the full context of our situationship, but, uh, he is aware of Thomas’ complicated history and he just decided to make it known that he believes… I deserve someone better than Thomas.

RJ: I’m sorry. I– I don’t mean to pry at all.

Luna: No, you’re not. It’s just… it’s– it’s not a big deal, okay?

RJ: If you’re upset, it’s a big deal to me. Tell me, is it– is it someone– is it someone at the office that’s giving you a hard time?

Luna: No, no. It has nothing to do with work.

RJ: Well, are you sure? Because, you know, if there’s a problem, I’ll deal with it.

Luna: No. Everyone’s been wonderful.

RJ: So, it has nothing to do with anyone here at Forrester, right?

Mother: Listen to me. Luna, stay away from the Forresters.

Finn: This can’t be happening.

Deacon: Look. It completely snuck up on us, too. Your mom and I, we’ve been spending a lot of time together and we– we enjoy each other’s company. Finn, I love her and she loves me, too.

Sheila: This is the first time in my life I– I have someone that loves me for who I am. It’s– it’s been life changing.

Deacon: Look, I wanted you to see that she has truly changed. I didn’t just ask to see you so you could see us together. I wanted you to see how much I believe in her rehabilitation, and I’m hoping that you could believe in it, too.

RJ: You know, I’m not trying to pry, I just– I wanna make sure you to feel at home here, you know?

Luna: I appreciate that. I mean, you’ve been incredibly welcoming.

RJ: I hope so. You know, we’ve been working together for a few weeks now. I feel like we’ve really gotten to know each other and I don’t know. I just want to make sure that you feel safe and comfortable here, you know, at Forrester.

Luna: Yeah, I mean, you make me feel safe.

RJ: Great. Well, then you continue being your awesome self around me.

Luna: Oh? Okay, so now you think I’m awesome?

RJ: Yeah. Yeah. Maybe.

Luna: Mm-hmm.

RJ: With a little bit of– with a little bit of stylish–

Luna: Yes.

RJ: And smart.

Luna: Right.

RJ: Huge amount of confidence, like exuberant, but you know, a little bit of funny. Just like a– you know.

Luna: Okay, don’t stop now. Keep going.

RJ: And you’re beautiful. You’re really beautiful.

Brooke: I’m a bit surprised that Finn was so outspoken about your involvement with Thomas, and I’m not sure that Steffy would appreciate his opinions about her brother.

Hope: Oh, I don’t think Finn would have gone out of his way to tell me how he feels about it. I just happened to be at his house and it came up naturally.

Brooke: Well, I’m grateful he opened up to you, and he’s right. You do deserve better than Thomas.

Hope: Finn just thinks I’m drawn to him because of my history with Liam. You know, wanting to be with a man who is completely and totally committed to me.

Brooke: And I do believe he’s right. So, what do you think about what Finn said? In your mind, do you think he’s right?

Sheila: I– I know that this is a shock for you. It is for me, too. I never thought that I would ever find anyone that– that could love me. I mean, flaws and all. But love heals, Finn. It changes people and this connection, Deacon’s unconditional acceptance of me, it has changed my life profoundly. I– I hope– I hope that you can see that. The change in me and– and that you can find a way to be happy for us. I just– I feel like I have so much love to give and I– I would really like to share that with you, too, if you let me.

Finn: You know, this is not at all why I thought you wanted to see me, Deacon. What am I supposed to say? Because all I can think about right now is how much I miss my wife and children. Steffy never would have left if it weren’t for you. You know what? You two, you’re in love. Fine, that’s– that’s– that’s great. That’s your business. But if you love me, if you truly love me, your biological son, then you would realize that you need to leave Los Angeles! Go back to Genoa City! Anywhere but here! Literally anywhere! Because if you stay near me, if you try to insinuate your way into my life, you’re gonna cost me the one thing that I love more than anything in this world! My wife and my children.

Luna: Working at Forrester has been such a dream. I mean, seriously, I wake up every single day so excited to come to the office. RJ, I’m just– I’m so grateful for this opportunity.

RJ: Well, you know, you can really tell when someone’s passionate about something ’cause it shows up in their work. Everybody’s noticed with you.

Luna: Even you?

RJ: Oh, come on. Especially me. My granddad, um, he always wanted Forrester to be a place where creative people could learn and grow.

Luna: You two have such a close bond.

RJ: Yeah, we do.

Luna: God, he must be so proud of you.

RJ: Well, I haven’t done anything yet, so I hope he will be.

Luna: Oh, come on.

RJ: What?

Luna: I think you’ve done a lot already. I mean, you’re taking care of him, you’re helping him. I mean, that’s a true reflection of who you are and your character. Honestly, RJ, I don’t– I don’t think I’ve ever met a guy, let alone anyone, who’s as kind and sincere as you. Are– are you sure you’re for real, or…?

RJ: Am I sure I’m for real? I don’t know. Last time I checked, I think I am, I think.

[ Luna giggling ]

Luna: I don’t know. I’ve always loved fashion, right? And I’ve always wanted to work at a place like Forrester, but… the best part of it is working here with you.

RJ: Ah, come on.

Luna: No, no. I mean it. And I know– I know you’re just starting out, but you clearly have the same talent as your father and your grandfather. I mean, your designs are amazing.

RJ: Well, I’d love to see you in one of them some day. You know, my dad and my granddad have both said that beauty inspires beauty and you’re very beautiful.

Luna: Well, RJ, you are pretty hot yourself.

[ Luna giggling ]

Brooke: Finn makes a good point. In Thomas, you found a man that is completely committed to you and that could be very enticing.

Hope: Well, it feels good. Thomas’ love for me. But still, then Finn brought up our history and the fact that another man might be capable of loving me and only me.

Brooke: That all might be hard to hear, but I’m certainly glad that he spoke about those things.

Hope: It was strangely very easy to open up to Finn. I mean, he understands it. We’re in a similar situation. To be married to someone who has a strong connection to someone else, that’s– that’s not always easy, but he gets it. He listened. He understood.

Brooke: I think you and Finn have more in common than you realize.

Hope: Well, he’s a remarkable man. He’s a good doctor, a good listener. Insightful and kind, so Steffy is lucky to have him as her husband.

Finn: If you love me, if you truly love me, then prove it. Leave town. Just let me live my life with Steffy, Kelly and Hayes without you.

Deacon: Finn, listen to me. Your mother and I are hoping for a fresh start.

Finn: Okay, great. Go have a fresh start somewhere else. I mean, like, do you really expect me to say something else?

Deacon: What I expect you to do is listen with an open mind.

Finn: Oh, my God.

Deacon: Look, listen to me. I’m taking people in here at Il Giardino. People that have made mistakes, but they’re willing to change okay? Your mother’s going to be a part of this. She’s gonna work beside me every single day, and I’m gonna make damn sure that she never hurts anyone again and that includes Steffy.

Finn: You’re gonna make damn sure?

Deacon: Well, I am a black belt in karate, Finn. I think I can control Sheila.

Finn: Control Sheila? With what? Your nunchakus? Sheila shot us, Deacon. Like, do you even hear yourself? What about your daughter? You think Hope is gonna listen to this insanity with an open mind? Are you willing to throw your relationship away with her because if you’re involved with Sheila, that’s exactly what’s gonna happen. She’s not gonna accept this.

Deacon: I know that my relationship with Sheila is gonna be shocking to a lot of people–

Finn: Huh.

Deacon: Especially Hope, but I also know that people can change, Finn. They can. They can– they can change and be redeemed. I’m living proof of it. I believe in redemption, and I know Hope does, too. You know how I know? Because she gave me a second chance, she gave me another chance to be a father to her. You should to do the same thing for your mom. Look, I get it, man. You wanna make sure that she’s doing the work and that she’s changing. Okay, fine, fine. Let us show you. Let us show Steffy and all the Forresters that she’s changing. Let her prove that she’s worthy of being loved. That she can be a good and a healthy part of your family.

RJ: You know, when I got here, I didn’t really know if I wanted to join the family business. I’m glad I did.

Luna: Yeah, me, too. I mean, I think it’s wonderful that you’re helping your grandfather. Especially if he’s, you know, facing some serious medical issues.

RJ: No, that– I’m– I’m cherishing every moment that I get to spend with him. But, um, I was actually talking about you. I mean, come on. Well, you know, the timing of the two of us meeting each other here at this exact moment. Come on, it’s pretty perfect, am I wrong?

[ Luna giggling ]

RJ: You know… when I got here, too, I was– I was really lacking in direction. I didn’t know if I wanted to design. I just knew I really wanted to help my grandfather. And I’ll be honest with you, I was really struggling to find my calling. And then I met you. I’m serious. I met– and you– you’re here and you’re chasing your passion. You– you have so much energy and excitement and it’s just, it’s inspiring. I hope you know that. It really is. It’s infectious. Like, when I’m working on one of my designs and you’re– you’re looking at it and you’re telling me what you see, I feel like that I can see it through your eyes. Don’t laugh at me, but sometimes, I think about, you know, specific fabrics or colors would look good on you and I don’t know, how I’d make a dress that’s specifically tailored just to how you walk. Luna, I’ve… I’ve met so many people. I’ve traveled to so many beautiful cities and… I’ve honestly never met anybody as special as you. I mean, I– I swear, there’s something about you that is just so special and– and magical. Mysterious. I just, uh… I look forward to getting to know you better.

Deacon: So that happened.

Sheila: Yeah.

Deacon: You okay?

Sheila: I’m just worried about Finn. He was so shocked to hear about us. Thank God we didn’t tell him about the engagement yet.

Deacon: Babe, we knew this was gonna happen, you know? People are gonna be shocked that we’re together.

Sheila: Especially Hope.

Deacon: Yeah.

Finn: Hey.

Hope: Hi. What are you doing here?

Finn: Is, um, now an okay time? I just really need to talk to you.

Hope: Sure. I actually– I was thinking about the conversation we had earlier, and I– I did tell my mom about some of the things and obviously, she agrees with you.

Finn: Yeah, well, you know, I just, you know, want what’s best for you.

Hope: Thank you. That means a lot.

Finn: You deserve to be happy.

Hope: Well, we both do. Uh, are you sure everything is okay? Because there’s clearly something weighing on you.

Finn: Um, yeah, just– you know the– the more I, uh, think about it, the more I realize how much we have in common. We both have complicated relationships with the people we love in our lives.

Hope: Yeah. I suppose our family dynamic is trickier than most.

Finn: Well, especially with our parents.

[ Hope laughing ]

Hope: Tell me about it. That is very true.

Finn: Do you understand what I’m saying, Hope? Like, do– do you know?

Hope: Do I know what? Finn, what am I supposed to know? What do you want to tell me?

Recap written by Terry

Jack and Diane got married – again, by their son Kyle, who was certified via the internet to perform the wedding. Nikki pointed out the key players in town to her assistant, Claire. Nikki toasted Jack and Diane with a bit of thinly veiled distain, but wished them well with just enough sincerity to convince Jack she was sincere.

Tucker and Audra showed up uninvited. Nikki spotted her as she eyeballed Kyle. Audra lied that Kyle invited her and defiantly told Nikki that she likes being with Kyle and if Nikki cannot accept that, they had a problem. Until Tucker told her to resume her pursuit of Kyle, Audra was going along with Nikki’s order to break it off if Audra wanted to keep her job.

Tucker, with wedding gift in hand, claimed he wanted to make peace with the Abbotts, but Jack and Billy balked. Jack told him to get out and take his unwanted wedding gift with him. Billy wanted to know if the gift box was ticking.

Before Tucker and Audra arrived at the wedding reception, they spoke about Tucker’s plot to get Jabot. While Audra wanted no part of Tucker’s scheme, he told her that his problem was also her problem. He referred to Audra’s part in concealing information that an entertainer employed by Tucker’s record label had illegally cavorted with underaged girls while on tour.

Tucker told Audra his goal was to gain control of Jabot and Audra would run the company. He told her Kyle was a means to that end. Audra was skeptical of Tucker’s plan and his ability to pull it off, but co-operated.

Summer flirted with Chance at the reception, which Sharon spotted and put an end to it when she joined them and lightheartedly praised the party as fun.

Mamie attended the wedding reception, and told Nate and Devon she wanted to help them get past the animosity in the family. She said life is short and the family’s fueding had gone on long enough.

Daniel is thrilled when Heather tells him she is moving back to Genoa City so Lucy can be close to him.

Billy disobeys Jack and opens Tucker’s wedding present to him and Diane. The present turns out to be a plant which Diane puts on the coffee table. Tucker sits at the Jazz Lounge listening to the Abbott family’s conversation using an app on his phone because the plant has a listening device inside the pot.

Devon asks Tucker if he worked with Mamie to buy a stake in Chancellor-Winters because he saw a look pass between them at Mamie’s family dinner. Tucker tells Devon he hardly knows Mamie and didn’t work with her to buy a stake in Chancellor-Winters, but Devon is skeptical of Tucker.

Audra and Kyle get back together and, after they have sex, Kyle tells Audra that he thinks Jack is going to fire Billy. Aura wonders what will happen if Jack doesn’t fire Billy. Kyle tells Audra if Jack doesn’t fire Billy, he will have to do something to make sure Billy is fired so he can get back his old job.

Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Vivian goes to Gabi’s room at the DiMera Mansion and says she’s glad she caught her before she left. Gabi tells Vivian to leave because she was about to get changed for a meeting at DiMera. Vivian tells Gabi that it doesn’t matter what she wears because she’s going to be the one sitting at the meeting which Gabi questions. Vivian responds that since Maggie kicked her out of Titan, the only place for her to be is at her son Stefan’s side.

Maggie returns to the Titan office and dumps Vivian’s nameplate in the trash before putting her own back on the desk. Alex walks in and asks what she’s doing there.

At the hospital, Leo complains about needing service for Dimitri. Kristen then arrives off the elevator.

Dimitri wakes up in his hospital bed to see Gwen, who says she could kill him for worrying her like that and then calls him a bastard.

Stefan sits in the living room of the DiMera Mansion, reading the Spectator article about Dimitri being shot in the DiMera Mansion until Jada walks in. Stefan assumes that she’s there for follow up questions about Dimitri’s shooting. Jada responds that she just has one and asks why he lied to her.

Kristen greets Leo. Leo responds that he knows what she did because Gwen told him about her diabolical plan to kill his boyfriend. Kristen thinks back to pulling a gun on Dimitri. Leo argues that Kristen went through with it even after Gwen told him that she called it off. Kristen insists that she did call it off. Leo questions if she’s going to claim to have had a change of heart. Kristen swears to Leo that she did not shoot Dimitri. Leo doesn’t believe her but questions who the hell did if it wasn’t her.

Vivian tells Gabi that she doesn’t need to worry about business now that she’s here and she can just be a real housewife of Salem. Gabi responds that she hates to disappoint her, but no matter how much Vivian tries to charm them, she is not going to take her job. Gabi warns Vivian not to get too comfortable in the house either. Vivian acknowledges Gabi as her new daughter in lie and advises her not to underestimate her. Vivian declares that she’s not leaving the house and warns Gabi that if she gets in her way, she will regret it.

Stefan repeats to Jada that he and Gabi were upstairs when they heard a gunshot, then they came in and found Dimitri bleeding on the floor. Jada informs him that they dusted the gun for prints and found Dimitri’s but they also found Kristen’s prints on them too. Stefan says it must have been Kristen that shot him then. Jada says that Kristen didn’t and the prints don’t even matter because the bullet didn’t match the gun. Jada states that Dimitri was shot with another gun.

Dimitri asks Gwen what happened. Gwen informs him that he was shot and asks if it’s much of a surprise considering what a dirtbag he is that it was bound to happen eventually. Gwen states that Dimitri lied to her and got her to marry him so he could inherit the Von Leuschner fortune, while having an affair with her best friend. Dimitri admits that was a despicable thing to do and says he is so sorry. Gwen mocks him and says that sorry just isn’t going to cut it as he pulls out a scalpel and says that will.

Alex tells Maggie that he didn’t expect to see her at Titan. They talk about Vivian trying to mark her territory. Maggie explains that she had the pleasure of ousting Vivian from the house and the company and reclaiming her job as CEO. Alex says he’s glad and wishes he could’ve been there to see Maggie kick Vivian to the curb, but reveals that Victor left him in charge of Titan according to his will which shocks Maggie. Alex brings a copy of the will to prove that Victor named him as CEO of Titan. Maggie argues that Victor didn’t name a CEO in his will. Alex shows her where it says that controlling interest in Titan is to go to him. Alex says he might not have named him CEO but he clearly spelled out his wishes. Maggie argues that Victor made his wishes clear when he was alive by making her CEO and he could’ve made Alex CEO but he didn’t. Maggie feels that if Victor wanted Alex to be CEO after he died, then he would’ve mentioned it. Alex argues that maybe Victor was in a hurry when he made the will or didn’t think it was necessary because he gave him controlling interest which means he’s in control. Alex tells Maggie not to fight him on this as he’s considered his options very carefully and he wants the job.

Stefan questions Jada saying that Dimitri was shot with another gun. Jada warns that if Stefan knows what really happened and is trying to hide it, she will get to the bottom of it and won’t hesitate to lock him up. Gabi then rushes in and tells Jada that she can’t lock Stefan up because he had nothing to do with this. Gabi then reveals that the person who shot Dimitri was her mother in law, Vivian Alamain, upsetting Stefan.

Vivian checks her purse in the hallway and wonders where her gun is.

Jada questions that Vivian shot Dimitri. Gabi confirms it by presenting the gun to her.

Kristen tells Leo that she doesn’t know who shot Dimitri and argues that Leo is hardly in a position to judge anyone since he was screwing Dimitri while screwing over Gwen. Leo argues that Kristen doesn’t care about Gwen and only cares about her half of the money. Leo declares he’s going to go check on his boyfriend and walks away.

Dimitri questions Gwen finding a scalpel. Gwen explains that somebody left it out on a tray. Dimitri asks what she plans to do with it. Gwen responds that she had a few ideas and then she remembered how Leo just wouldn’t shut up about Dimitri’s magic penis. Gwen suggests she could work a little bit of magic of her own and make it disappear. Dimitri pleads with her. Gwen remarks that it’s been awhile since she’s seen it herself and admits she was infatuated with it, but she’s not remembering why. Gwen suggests refreshing her memory as she lifts his blanket. Gwen comments on Leo falling in love with Dimitri. Dimitri tries screaming for help. Gwen tells him it will only take a minute as Leo walks in and questions what the hell she is doing.

Stefan questions what the hell Gabi is doing. Gabi responds that she’s telling the truth and she knows he wants to protect his mother, but if she has to choose between Stefan and Vivian, she’s choosing him every time. Gabi shouts that she’s not going to let Stefan go down for Vivian which Stefan calls unfair. Vivian then walks in, asking if anyone has seen her gun.

Maggie understands that Alex’s world has been turned upside down by finding out that Victor is his father. Alex argues that Titan is his birthright and that Victor knew he was cut out for the job. Maggie asks if this is payback for firing Alex. Alex admits he didn’t agree with some of the things that Maggie did while running Titan, but claims it’s not retaliation and that he’s taking the job because Victor was his father and this is clearly what he wanted.

Vivian complains about Gabi giving her gun to Jada and argues that Dimitri was threatening to kill Stefan and she couldn’t go through that again. Vivian adds that shooting someone in self defense is not illegal. Stefan confirms that Dimitri was trying to kill him and Gabi and that he likely would have if Vivian did not intervene. Stefan states that is why he had a hard time turning her in. Gabi adds that they want to press charges against Dimitri. Gabi and Stefan say they are willing to testify. Jada points out that this might mitigate Vivian’s attempted murder charge, but they lied to police and having a gun is in violation of Vivian’s parole, so she will be speaking to her parole officer. Jada then exits the mansion while Stefan and Vivian glare at Gabi.

Marlena is in her office, on the phone talking about Susan being alive. Kate walks in and tells Marlena that she’s sorry to barge in. Kate mentions hearing that Susan is alive but says she needs to talk about Philip. Marlena asks if he’s alright. Kate responds that he’s fine but she’s not because Philip is leaving town with Chloe.

Leo stops Gwen and tells her to put down the scalpel, calling this insane. Leo declares that he can’t let her hurt him. Gwen argues that it will hurt Leo a lot more. Leo complains that it’s going to destroy them and that Gwen wouldn’t be able to live with herself. Leo tells Gwen that she’s not a violent person. Leo talks about Gwen having a hard life and going to extremes to get revenge against people who have hurt her but says this is cruel and out of character for her because she is a kind and decent person. Leo adds that seeing Gwen trying to ruin someone’s life in the most horrific way is like she’s not the person he knows and loves and it’s breaking his heart. Gwen responds that Leo has no heart. Leo calls that untrue and says he’s not trying to make excuses but admits he messed up and he’s miserable a lot of the time. Leo talks about using humor to cover up how much he hates himself. Gwen argues that he’s just trying to make her feel sorry for him. Leo insists that he never meant to hurt her but his desperate need for love caused him to betray her. Leo acknowledges that he hurt her more than Dimitri did. Gwen agrees, pointing out that he was supposed to be her best friend. Gwen cries that she’s used to romances falling apart but they were supposed to be forever as she thought they would grow old together and comfort each other. Leo says he thought so too but then he did what he always does and sabotaged himself, because he felt like he had finally found love and a way to be happy which made him horribly selfish. Leo states that he sabotaged the only friendship that’s ever meant anything to him. Leo wishes they were honest with her from the start but guesses he was stupidly hoping that there was some way they could all get what they wanted out of this. Leo says he knows words are cheap but tells Gwen that he loves her and he’s always felt so lucky to have her as a friend and ally. Leo adds that he would be willing to do whatever he had to in order to make it up to her. Leo asks if she’s willing to let him try. Gwen says no and that she hopes Leo and Dimitri both rot in Hell as she then walks out of the room.

Maggie tells Alex that when she learned that he was Victor’s son, it warmed her heart because she thought she could be there for him since that’s what Victor would want. Alex asks if she has a point. Maggie says the point is that Alex is important to her and always has been, but now seeing Victor in him makes her feel even closer to him. Maggie believes that if Victor wanted Alex to be CEO, he would have made him CEO. Maggie suggests maybe Victor wanted them to work together as co-CEOs but Alex doesn’t see that working out since they don’t see eye to eye on how to run the business. Maggie questions just taking her job instead. Alex doesn’t see it that way but argues that he has controlling interest, so all he has to do to get her removed is call a board meeting.

Stefan questions why Gabi would give his mother up to the cops. Gabi insists it was either Stefan or Vivian. Stefan argues that now Vivian gets charged with attempted murder. Gabi points out that Jada said that’s off the table. Vivian mocks her and asks if Stefan is just going to let Gabi throw her under the bus. Stefan is afraid there is nothing they can do it about it now since Jada knows Vivian violated her parole and if she acts on it, the US Marshal is going to be at the door any second. Vivian supposes there’s nothing she can do now other than leave town, which Gabi celebrates.

Gwen runs in to Kristen, who promises she did not shoot Dimitri. Gwen questions who did then. Jada arrives and informs them that it was Vivian Alamain. Kristen questions why Vivian would shoot Dimitri. Jada explains that she apparently walked in as Dimitri was going to kill Stefan and Gabi, so she’s here to arrest Dimitri. Gwen exclaims that’s the best news she’s heard all day.

Maggie tells Alex that calling a board meeting won’t be necessary as she will go, but she must say that she’s very disappointed that she didn’t get through to him at all. Maggie says she knew Alex was a womanizer and somewhat full of himself, but she didn’t think he was so callous that he wouldn’t respond to what she said from the heart about seeing Victor in him and how it moved her. Alex says he’s not saying there’s no role for her at Titan because he will need capable people. Maggie agrees that something tells her them teaming up would work about as well as it did the last time. Maggie then gathers her things and exits the office.

Jada states that she needs to read Dimitri his rights and heads to his room. Gwen tells Kristen that Dimitri is finally getting what’s coming to him. Kristen says he’s not the only one because they are going to get what’s coming to them too which Gwen questions. Kristen explains that Dimitri will go off to prison while someone is going to get the Von Leuschner fortune.

Leo checks on Dimitri, who confirms that Gwen did not hurt him. Leo asks how this happened. Dimitri explains that he had his gun on Gabi and Stefan, then he got shot in the back. Leo argues that he promised he wasn’t going to kill Gabi and Stefan. Dimitri says he meant it but before that, Kristen pulled a gun on him. Leo questions who shot him. Dimitri reveals that it was Vivian and says he aimed the gun at Gabi and Stefan as an impulse move, then Vivian walked in and shot him. Leo kisses Dimitri and says the important thing is that he’s alive and now that the truth is out, they have nothing to worry about. Jada then enters the room.

Kristen tells Gwen that it’s time for her to pay her in-laws a visit to explain how poor, deranged Dimitri is going to prison, therefore his new wife is entitled to his fortune. Gwen asks if she really thinks that will work. Kristen asks why not since they are still married and they fulfilled the conditions, so she sees no reason they shouldn’t pay her. Gwen is not sure the Von Leuschners will see it that way. Kristen encourages that Gwen will have to persuade them. Gwen declares that there is nothing left keeping her in Salem and that the Spectator is tied up with Xander, while the only friend she had was Leo. Kristen tells her that she’s always got her. Gwen thanks her but says ever since she arrived in Salem, it’s been one debacle after another. Gwen decides maybe it’s time she sees what else is out there for her.

Vivian tells Stefan that she would never leave him, but she has no choice. Stefan asks where she will go. Vivian suggests back to Alamainia as their home. Vivian tells Stefan not to worry about her because she will always rise like a phoenix from the ashes.

Marlena asks Kate if Chloe and Philip are back together. Kate hopes not and says Philip got the help he needed and was doing so well, but his obsession with Chloe is what made him lose his mind in the first place. Kate worries about that happening again. Marlena points out that Philip is a grown man and Chloe must have believed he has changed to agree to go to New York with him. Kate supposes so and admits she was hoping Philip would stay in Salem, especially now but that it was silly of her to think he’d want to be closer with her after losing his father.

Maggie goes home to the Kiriakis Mansion and looks at her and Victor’s wedding photo on the mantle. Maggie places her old CEO name plate in front of the picture as she holds back tears.

Alex picks up a photo of Victor in the Titan office and says he really hopes he’s not mad about Maggie, but he doesn’t think Victor would’ve dangled this opportunity in front of him if he didn’t want him to grab the brass ring. Alex then places his own CEO nameplate on the desk and takes his seat in the chair.

Leo asks Jada what they can do for her. Jada responds that for once, this doesn’t concern Leo. Jada then informs Dimitri that he is under arrest for attempted murder.

After Vivian leaves, Gabi questions Stefan being upset to see her go and complains about her. Stefan knows Vivian is impossible but she’s his mother and he feels bad for her. Gabi argues that misery follows Vivian where ever she goes. Gabi states that he may not see it now, but she did him a huge favor.

Vivian goes to the airport and says she better be careful as she never know who she will run in to. Vivian walks on as Gwen prepares to board her flight. Gwen remarks that Salem hasn’t always been fun but it’s certainly been interesting. Gwen adds that there were things about Salem that she loved as well as things she hated. Gwen promises that this might be goodbye for now, but Salem hasn’t seen the last of her as she walks around the corner with her bag packed. Brady then comes around the corner of the airport, followed by Theresa (now played by Emily O’Brien, who portrayed Gwen)

Billy: Thank you very much. Well, well, what are you still doing here?

Tucker: Why would I leave?

Billy: I just thought you would have left town by now.

Tucker: Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. Why?

Billy: Well, uh, I have proof that you and Audra did a disgusting thing. Covered up the evidence for a statutory rapist. That’s not a good look. You also failed miserably when you tried to make it look like I embezzled money from my family company. I paid all that money back to Jabot, by the way.

Tucker: Good boy.

Billy: And I can count on half a hand the amount of people that can actually stand the sight of your face, so i thought you would have took off.

Tucker: You probably forgot that I have a son and a grandson here in town who can stand the sight of me. And– and I’m not about to leave ’em again. And if you’re worried that I’m sticking around to exact revenge on you or the Abbotts or Jabot…

[ Scoffs ] I’m a lot of things, Billy, but I’m not an idiot. You’re holding a bomb over my head. So you win. Congratulations. You’ve pretty much forced me to back off.

Billy: Backing off isn’t the same as abandoning, tucker.

Tucker: Oh, god, forgive me. Abandoned. Is that better?

Billy: Not even a little.

Tucker: Yeah, I don’t know what I could do to prove to you that it’s over for me. That I’m just done with you and the Abbotts and your precious little company.

Traci: So, the florist has just finished setting up and that is done.

Jack: Thank god you changed that order. By the way, how did you remember that Abby is allergic to lilies?

Traci: Abby is my niece and I am Traci Abbott. It’s what I do. [ Laughs ]

Jack: And I don’t know what I would do without you in my life.

Traci: Well, you will die wondering

Lily: What exactly are your intentions at chancellor-winters?

Jill: Yeah, actually, I’m pretty curious about that myself.

[ Mamie laughs ]

Mamie: Jill, Jill, Jill. Who but you would show up at a private party to which you were not invited? Well, I can’t really say that I’m that surprised, but, oh, how rude.

Jill: You see, it just– it all seemed a little wonky, this secret investor thing the way it played out, so I just had to come and see firsthand if it was indeed you, Mamie, who bought into my company. And if so, why?

Mamie: Well, when this investment opportunity came to my attention, I just couldn’t refuse. Oh, come on, Jill, it’s wonderful, isn’t it? To be able to support a successful business and to reconnect with my family?

***************

Mamie: Jill, why is it that you only see shadows and secrets? I suppose that’s just how your mind thinks. But that’s not how the rest of us live our lives. This is my family that you’re in business with. You see the bottom line. I see love and togetherness. This is just not about you, honey.

Jill: Oh, lord, forgive me, Mamie, but I know who you really are and I find it very hard not to doubt your motives.

Mamie: [ Laughs ] Okay. So, Devon is correct. I didn’t have to make an investment in chancellor-winters in order to spend time with the people that I care about, but why not take advantage of a good business move at the same time?

Jill: Good choice of words. Boy, you really know about taking advantage, don’t you?

Mamie: Oh, no, you don’t wanna go down that road. I sit alongside John Abbott all those years that he was building his business empire. I took good care of the Abbott children.

Jill: You just stood alongside him? Sorry, honey, that wasn’t you.

Days Nitpicks & Flubs For The Week Of 10/2/23

Nitpicks & Flubs

by Michele & Cheryl

EJ DiMera

Monday

Dimitri didn’t have any blood on him after Vivian shot him. Stefan made a big deal about him bleeding badly, but there wasn’t any blood shown. Stefan didn’t have any blood on his hands after checking on Dimitri.

Jada tried to stop Shawn from going to the DiMera mansion with her. He is her partner so she didn’t have the right to stop him from going as if she’s his boss.

Leo admitted that he slept with Gwen’s husband. Why was he surprised when she punched him? What did he think was going to happen?

Gwen told Leo about working with Kristen. She shouldn’t have told him that if she wanted to get revenge. Leo could have told Dimitri about her plan. She shouldn’t have dipped her hand like that.

Tuesday

Shawn took the risk of talking about being with Talia in public. He should have talked to Jada about it in private.

Belle has a right to be mad at Shawn for cheating on her, but she’s not in a position to talk. She cheated on him with Philip and EJ so she’s not innocent.

Marlena cheated on Roman so she shouldn’t have been so judgmental when she found out that Talia slept with Shawn.

Wednesday

Chloe could be heard talking while Bronson was shown.

Chloe cried without tears.

EJ found out that Rex was pretending to be the father of Sarah’s baby. Who told him that Sarah lied about the father of her baby?

Thursday

Susan helped Ava to set up EJ considering she was the one who tried to kill her. You would that she wouldn’t help her. EJ was trying to avenge her death and she decided to turn on him.

EJ knew where to find Xander. How did he know where he lived?

Friday

Alex told Maggie that Victor left Titan to him. He didn’t even look at the will so he didn’t know who was in charge of running the company.

Kristen’s flashback could be heard before it was shown.

Who told Kate that Susan was in town? She didn’t run into anyone who would have known the truth.

Days Opinions For The Week Of 10/2/23

Opinion Article

by Michele & Cheryl

Shwan and Belle

This week’s episodes didn’t have us screaming at the TV, but a couple of plots moved along a little. There were two confrontations this week. Belle found out the truth about Shawn and Talia being together and Gwen confronted Leo and Dimitri. There must have been something in the water for that to happen in the same week. We will talk about these situations separately.

Jada should probably check her surroundings before she opens her mouth. Anytime she opens her mouth, something bad ends up happening. This time Belle overheard her tell Shawn that he slept with her sister. She shouldn’t have blurted something like that out in public. The office door was open when she dropped the bomb. She shouldn’t have announced a big secret like that so loudly. We know that Shawn wished he could have kicked her in her mouth to keep her quiet. With that said, we will move on to the confrontation.

Belle demanded an explanation as to why Shawn was with Talia. He didn’t give her a good enough reason and she slapped the taste out of his mouth. She yelled at him and couldn’t believe he hurt her. She reminded him about what he did with Jan and that set off fireworks. He told her about her flings with Philip and EJ. Let’s stop right there for a minute. We applauded Shawn for standing up for himself when she threw Jan up in his face. He felt like she should have forgiven him. He wasn’t wrong. She wasn’t in a position to judge him for ending up with Talia because he was drunk when it happened. With that said, his timing was completely off. He was the one who messed up so bringing up her mistakes wasn’t going to help his case. He should have waited to use that high card. He was right, but his timing wasn’t right at all. Belle didn’t want to stay with him because he betrayed her the way he did. We were surprised that she only blamed him for what happened. She didn’t blame Talia. She thought he was trying to pay her back for what she did. She might have been right about that. He might have been waiting for an opportunity to pay her back for what she did. If that were true, he could have done that sober. Why would he wait until he was drunk to do that? She had a right to be mad at him, but it was getting frustrating to watch her whining about what happened. She knows that he’s drinking so it shouldn’t have been a surprise that he messed up. Shawn forgave her for her discretions, and she wasn’t drunk when she did it. She was completely sober. She didn’t even know who Claire’s father was at one point. She should be willing to cut Shawn some slack at some point because she’s far from innocent herself. We enjoyed watching their scenes because they were filled with drama. We hope that they keep showing their confrontation.

As we mentioned earlier, there were two confrontations this week. Gwen confronted Leo about sleeping with Dimitri. The confrontation was better than when Gwen admitted that she knew the truth. Leo wanted Gwen to forgive him after being with Dimitri. Leo expected Gwen to forgive him after sleeping with Dimitri. Leo didn’t deserve to be forgiven after what he did. He knew Dimitri was gay but didn’t warn her about it. He also didn’t have a problem sleeping with his best friend’s husband. What kind of a friend does that? It would serve him right if she never forgave him for what he did. He could have spared her the humiliation of finding out her husband is gay. He had the nerve to try to make her feel sorry for him by being self-deprecating. He knew it was going to work, but he was mistaken because she didn’t want anything to do with him.

Leo wanted to get back at Gwen for Dimitri getting shot. He threatened to make her pay if Dimitri died. Who would Leo be to try and make Gwen pay for Dimitri dying? He also acted as if he were the one married to Dimitri when he found out he was in the hospital. Gwen was the one married to him so he wasn’t in a position to threaten her. We were shaking our heads while we watched him carry on as if was the victim.

The writers are trying to make us feel sorry for Dimitri. Dimitri was the one who wanted to shoot Stefan and Gabi, but the writers expected us to feel sorry for Dimitri when Gabi and Vivian wanted to let him bleed out. Stefan had to go the extra mile and be a man of his word and get him help. We aren’t trying to say that they should have let Dimitri die, but Gabi and Vivan shouldn’t have been written up as monsters just because they were willing to let him die.

We actually wanted to cheer Kate on this week. Kate confronted Sarah about lying about the baby. She wouldn’t let Sarah make excuses about using Rex for her own personal gain. Sarah was told over and over again that she should have told Xander the truth about the baby. She refused to listen because she had to be right. We loved that Kate went off about it. She was given a pass by everyone else who chose to pat her on the head and let her get away with her crime. Kate didn’t do that. She told her off as she should have and we were cheering her on the entire time.

Speaking of the baby, Xander decided to go after full custody of Victoria. Rex talked to him and told him that he wasn’t going to be allowed near his baby. He told him that he wanted to be near his daughter. He called his lawyer and wanted sole custody of the baby. We hope the writers don’t drop the ball with that story. We want to see the look on Sarah’s face when Xander takes her to court. She will probably try to guilt him or run away again so she can keep the baby. She needs to know how it feels not to be able to see the baby because it’s what she wanted to do to Xander.

Susan was alive. It was convenient how she was still alive. It was an obvious attempt to let Ava off the hook for what she did to her. When Ava was seeing illusions about Charlie being alive he wasn’t alive, yet Susan was conveniently alive after she was seeing illusions about her. The writers are going overboard trying to write Ava as if she is a good character. They are clearly trying to put her with Harris so the writers must think we will forget that she is a villain.

Chloe decided to leave town since she ended things with Xander. She asked Philip to go with her. We don’t like the way she was written out of the show. We are Phloe fans so that was disappointing. They were considered a supercouple during the 90s and they were treated like they didn’t matter. Their farewell basically fizzled and it’s an insult to the Phloe fans who would have wanted a better send off. It’s bad enough the wrong actor was playing Philip, but they were written out as if they were extras. We wish the writers put more thought into their departure.

Interview with Sharon Case of “The Young and The Restless” on CBS by Suzanne 10/5/23

I so enjoyed speaking with Sharon! I’m a fan of hers, and of the show (which you’ll see below). It was great to meet her on Zoom, and it was really sweet of her to answer so many of our questions. We had a good time and laughed a lot.

Suzanne: Well, thanks for talking to me today.

Sharon: Yeah. Thanks for having me, Suzanne.

Suzanne: Yeah. You’ve been on Y&R next year for 30 years. How does that feel?

Sharon: It feels amazing. It’s wild. I guess you round off numbers when you speak about it. So for probably a few years now, I’d just round it off and say, Oh, you know, I’ve been here 30 years or, you know, so it’s not brand new, a brand new idea to me, but it will finally be official.

Suzanne: Yeah, that’s great. Do they give you a cake and things like that?

Sharon: I don’t know if they’re going to come up with a cake. Probably, they’ll offer a cake party. I think usually our anniversaries, we have a lot of anniversaries, a lot of casts have been here a long time. They usually do a cake party, yeah.

Suzanne: Okay, that’s cool.  I’ve been watching “The Young and The Restless” since 1986, and “General Hospital” since 1984. So I saw you on there as Dawn before you [played] Sharon.

Sharon: Right. I played Dawn, Monica Quartermaine’s daughter.

Suzanne: Yeah, no, that was great. I really liked Dawn, even though there were like five different actresses that played her.

Sharon: There were a lot of actresses that played Dawn. There were three who played Sharon.

Suzanne: Yeah, that’s right. That’s right. I forgot about that. And I was so upset when they, when they killed Dawn off. She was such a great character. But I’m glad that you got to go on and become Sharon for so long.

Sharon: But you know, dead is never dead in the soap either.

Suzanne: Yeah, but it was a long time ago. I don’t think she’s coming back now.

Sharon: Who knows? You know, she could.

Suzanne: That would be great, but… Has Sharon — I was trying to remember — has Sharon ever been dead or thought to be dead?

Sharon: She, well, let’s see, she fell off the cliff with Drusilla and she almost died. They thought maybe she was going to make it, but she made it. Okay, now I don’t think…Oh, and then when Sharon broke out of prison and went on the run, and she stayed with, Sam on the farm. Everyone in Genoa City thought Sharon was dead, they even had a funeral for her. And so, right, Sharon was meanwhile, living on a farm with Sam.

Suzanne: Yeah.

Sharon: She was thought to be dead then, too. Yeah, that, but not, not in the way that we were talking about somehow. Some characters do die — “die” — and they come back. It’s always fun to have to play that scene when a character comes back to life and you’re shocked. Like Diane recently.

Suzanne: Yeah, that’s right.

Sharon: It’s the best scene when your character runs into them, and you’re like, “Oh, my God!” What expression do you have from back from the dead, what would be the right expression? What is that?

[Both laughing]

Suzanne: I’m not so dead after all! That’s funny. Yeah. Yeah.

Suzanne: Well, it seems like Sharon has been through a lot on those 30 years, and [done] just about everything that a soap heroine can possibly do. I mean…

Sharon: Yeah, I’ve done a lot of really fun stuff…

Suzanne: Burning down Victor’s house, marrying Victor….That was weird!

Sharon: That was, yeah. Marrying. Yeah. But you know, that turned into some very good things that, I’ve been seeing a lot of, recently, people are tweeting or whatever, scenes where Sharon was having Victor’s funeral.

Suzanne: Mm-Hmm.  I remember that.

Sharon: It was the fake funeral. And that was just hilarious. And she was trying to marry Tucker at the same time. Those were some of the funniest scenes. And I had so much fun shooting them. And that was all part of the Sharon married Victor story.

Suzanne: Right.

Sharon: She then, you know, covered up his fake death, pretended he was dead, tried to take over Newman. It was a lot of fun.

Suzanne: Yeah, I’ll bet. And I remember a long time ago when Sharon was shoplifting.

Sharon: Yeah, that was great fun.

Suzanne: Yeah?

Sharon: That was the very beginning of her, kind of, her bipolar, I guess, is what they decided that was part of that, as well. I think her would-be behavior. yeah, it was really fun. And, I joke with Joshua Morrow sometimes when we’re just sitting in the Newman living room, doing scenes, you know, passing time when, you know, we have a lot of time sitting there in between scenes, and I say, I’m going to steal the coasters, Joshua. I’m going to have Sharon zip over first and steal the coasters. And I’ll just be doing that in the background while these people are talking. That would be hilarious. We always laugh about that. He laughs… He thinks, he’d like to start having his character only wear golf clothes all the time, to the office, everywhere, he’s just always in golf clothes.

Suzanne: He seems like he would be a lot of fun.

Sharon: He’s so much fun. I think that’s a genius idea.

Suzanne: Yeah, I remember, that was when, when, Sharon was stealing– shoplifting. That was when your character’s mom was still around.

Sharon: Yeah, we haven’t seen Sharon’s mom in a while. We still, we don’t know where her dad is yet.  So, there’s still things we have to find out.

Suzanne: Yeah, that’s great that they still have that story out there they could pull out anytime. And I’m glad to see that you’re doing something again, other than just pouring coffee and being a sounding board for your children and anyone else.

Sharon: Yeah…

Suzanne: After Rey died, then they didn’t do anything with Sharon for a very long time, besides that.

Sharon: I know, she had a very long mourning period. She had a long mourning. She really loved him. So she was paused for a while… but now she’s got this Kirsten Company, thanks to Cameron Kirsten. And, now she’s gonna go out on her own and build it into a great company, and, you know, take over the world.

Suzanne: Mm-hmm.  Yeah. That’s great. Judging from what I’ve seen on the show lately, it seems like Nick and Sharon may be headed back together. I know they don’t tell you much ahead of time, and you can’t really say spoilers, but would you be happy about that kind of reunion?

Sharon: Of course! I’m always happy when they reunite.  I– I love working with Joshua. Good news is, though, even when we’re not reunited, I get to work with him a lot anyway. We share children together. So, I mean, we always are doing scenes together in any case, either way.

Suzanne: Yeah, yeah. And do you think that they’re the next Victor and Nikki?

Sharon: Well, it seems so. I can see how people can compare the two.  They’ve been a couple on and off for, you know, like we just said, three decades now.

Suzanne: Yeah.

Sharon: And that does seem to parallel Victor and Nikki.

Suzanne: Right. And when you found out that Sharon was going to be running Cameron’s former company, what was your reaction to that?

Sharon: Oh, I was really happy. You know, to see Sharon back in the business world again is fun.  She did worka t Jabot and Newman back in the day for a while. And that’s fun because, you know, she gets to interact with a lot of other people while she’s at work.

Suzanne: Mm-hmm.

Sharon: Brad work there then, you know

Suzanne: Mm-hmm. I remember…

Sharon: That’s just fun. So I– I hope that Sharon being back in the business world again… that will give her cause to be at Jabot, or Newman or maybe employ several people at her office space.

Suzanne: Right. She was a psychologist, but they’ve kind of dropped that now, or….?

Sharon: Yeah, I think we’re getting less and less…going less and less with the psychology. And we did that for a few years.

Suzanne: Yeah.

Sharon: Well, you know, she’s changing careers, and going back to what she used to do.

Suzanne: Right, right, right. And, is there anything that Sharon hasn’t done on the show that you wish she would do?

Sharon: Let’s see…um…I don’t know, let’s see… I would like her to, uh…I can’t really think of anything, but you know, it would be fun if she were like a… I’ll come up with something.

Suzanne: Okay. You could be a stripper like Nikki!  I don’t know…

Sharon: Be a stripper like Nikki? No…. [Laughs]

Suzanne: Maybe she could get a split personality and become a stripper.

Sharon: Split personality would be phenomenal. I loved playing bipolar, that’s not quite the same, but a split personality would be a lot of fun, or a crazy twin sister.

Suzanne: I was gonna say evil twin would be the next thing.

Sharon: That would be great.

Suzanne: Well, and we know twins run in her family, so she had twins, so…

Sharon: That’s right, she did. She had Mariah and Cassie, and they were great.

Suzanne: Yeah, so she could have an evil twin out there she doesn’t even know about.

Sharon: That’s right.

Suzanne: And it would be a good way to bring her mom back, too.

Sharon: Yeah, or bring her mom back or her dad. Maybe she meets her dad, and her dad shows up in town with this child. This– well, not child anymore. You know. And Sharon is looking right at herself, she feels. It’s because it’s her twin sister.

Suzanne: Yeah, that would be great. You’d get to play evil for a while. That would be fun.

Sharon: Yeah, that would be good.

Suzanne: Yeah, or a vixen, what they used to call a vixen.

Sharon: Yeah, and she could be a real good vixen and real bad girl. She would do all kinds of bad things.

Suzanne: I could see– I could see that with Adam.

Sharon: Doing bad things?

Suzanne: Yeah. The twin– the evil twin with Adam.

Sharon: Oh, yeah, I see. Yeah. Yeah. I can see it, too.

Suzanne: So, I asked on Twitter and Facebook– Oh, (here’s a question I forgot to ask first) I know it’s not 2020 anymore, but are you still following a lot of COVID protocols on the set?

Sharon: You know, we do sometimes. Not, as regularly as we were… sometimes we’re masking, it’s sort of optional, and, the testing, we’re not doing it every single week, but we are still, at various intervals, doing testing.

Suzanne: Okay, did they ever have the thing that they had on GH for a while, where everyone had to get vaccinated?

Sharon: I think, no, I mean, they, they offered vaxxess here and they always have, not every year I guess, but there’s been a lot of years they’ve offered vaxxes here… flu vaxxess and things like that.

Suzanne: Right. But it wasn’t mandated or anything.

Sharon: Right.

Suzanne: Oh, okay. and so I went on Twitter and Facebook and asked fans if they had questions for you.

Sharon: Oh good! I hope they do!

Suzanne: They, oh yeah, there’s a lot. More than I can tell you in the time that we have. But, let’s see. Christine on Twitter, wanted to know who you would like to work with that you haven’t. A couple of other people asked the same thing.

Sharon: That I haven’t, um..

Suzanne: Or not much.

Sharon: You know, I haven’t a lot with, Trevor St. John, and we had a few coffee house scenes together. One day, that was it. It was so fun. I was hoping that we would– our characters would do more together.

Suzanne: Right, because you were kind of married for a while.

Sharon: We were kind of married for a while! Different actor, but I– you know, so it really works that this is someone from Sharon’s past. I find it, you know, interesting to play those scenes with that character because of that. And you know, working with Trevor is terrific.

Suzanne: I’m sure. Yeah. And, everybody hates him, so… his character (I mean), so that would be fun to see whether Sharon still didn’t like him, or liked him, felt that bad for him, or whatever. Yeah.

Sharon: You know, it’s a love-hate thing. I think, when you run into your ex-husband years ago, you get a zing from that.

Suzanne: Yeah. So, Heather wanted to know what your favorite storyline of all time was?

Sharon: Oh, my gosh. I have loved so many of  ’em. You know, the one we just mentioned: Sharon, posting Victor’s funeral. That was a really fun, if you haven’t seen that, hold that up somewhere on Twitter or on, I don’t know where else you can get it, but it

Suzanne: YouTube? YouTube, maybe?

Sharon: maybe. Yeah. On YouTube. Yeah. I’ve seen it on Twitter recently. That’s why I said that. But on YouTube, that is a really fun. And, you know, I have a lot of others [that] I’ve said many times are my favorites, like going into the sewer with Nikki and the rats, and Cassie’s death story. But I really want to start adding to it. I think my favorite scene was Sharon hosting Victor’s funeral.

Suzanne: And a different person named Christine, this one on Facebook, wanted to know your funniest blooper, either one you did or somebody else did.

Sharon: Oh, my gosh, there’s bloopers every day. There’s so many [scene ones?]. I just had a funny, almost-blooper, with Brytni [Sarpy] today, who plays Elena. We were doing a funny scene. She was supposed to exit and be gone. And then there’s the tag on Sharon watching a different character. And we were joking that Elena would, at the end, peek around the corner as if she has her eye on Sharon. And we just did a riff on this ridiculous that, Sharon and Elena, you know, she’s got her eye on her for some reason. And, we joked about it in rehearsal, so we did that in rehearsal. It’s not a blooper, necessarily. But it kind of is because it started out with Brytni actually making a mistake in her blocking!

Suzanne: Oh!

Sharon: That got us all laughing about this. There’s so many bloopers every day, you know?  Oh, I had one where I was– recently, I was in Society, and… I’m supposed to just put my purse, um, set it on my chair as I’m seated at Society, and the purse just kept falling.

Suzanne: Oh!

Sharon: Well, I’m trying to have a conversation in the scene, and I’m constantly fidgeting with my purse. I finally got that thing to stay. And, they didn’t have… they didn’t edit that into the show, so you won’t see that because it’s a blooper.

Suzanne: Ah.

Sharon: Another blooper is that when I finally got up to leave, I got up to grab the purse and go, and it was stuck. I couldn’t pull it out of the chair again. And I do wish that they would include these in the show.

Suzanne: Yeah, or [have] like a special blooper reel or something, or post it online… anything. Fans woul love to see those.

Sharon: Yeah, sure. I would love to see them, too. It’s fun.

Suzanne: Marilyn wants to know, what do you admire about your character? And what do you not admire about your character?

Sharon: You know what, I admire how brave she is, and what a go-getter she is now… You know, how positively she looks at life itself, and her life.  After everything she’s been through, she just keeps going, and has this positive energy and attitude that tomorrow’s another day, and she’s going to reinvent herself and become a businesswoman now, again, and a great mom, or she’s going to go crazy, but that’s okay. She’ll recover. She’s just got a great attitude.

Suzanne: Well, yeah, what’s great about being on the soap, especially for so long, it seems like you get to experience all these different things you don’t necessarily do in your real life.

Sharon: Right.

Suzanne: You get to go wild and crazy. You get to have kids, you know, married many times, all these different…

Sharon: You get to do a lot of fun stuff, but you know, she’s, I like her.. I don’t know, her optimism.

Suzanne: And is there anything you don’t admire about Sharon? You wish that she didn’t do?

Sharon: Let’s see. Hmm. I don’t think so. I think I’ve, I’ve pretty much really liked everything she’s done. Yeah.

Suzanne: Okay. And Faith says, “I really love some of the clothes and accessories you wear. Do you get a chance to decide what to wear and do you get a chance to purchase the clothing or accessories?”

Sharon: Well, that’s a good question. Wardrobe is very fun and very important. This, what I’m wearing right now is, from Sharon’s closet. I love Sharon’s clothes. I do get a say-so, somewhat, in what she’s going to wear. The costume department will buy a bunch of clothes, or they take them out from the store on, you know, I don’t know, they get to take them out temporarily.  Usually they give us the clothes for two or three days to try on so we have time to try these on. What they bring I try on, and I decide what I like, what I didn’t. And they do as well. They may have bought me some things from the store that once they see them on me, they don’t like them or anything. It’s just not right for the scene.  So we both decide, but yes, I do have a say-so as well, and if everything we don’t like gets sent back, and the things that we decide to keep, then the costumers decide which show, which episode, each costume might be right for.

Suzanne: Okay, and she said, do you get a chance to buy any of the clothes or accessories?

Sharon: Oh, no, no, no, I don’t get to buy them. I get to borrow them.

Suzanne: Oh.

Sharon: Yeah, they are… I don’t know why we just don’t really have a thing where we buy the clothes.. [from] CBS on some… We all borrow them and wear them to a function, you know, the anniversary party or, you know, like today I’m doing this interview, so I’m wearing Sharon’s clothes.

Suzanne: Nice. And, Teresa wanted to know if you’ve ever vacationed in Nashville. I assume she lives there.

Sharon: Oh, my gosh, I don’t think I have. I’ve been so many places. I have so many friends going to Nashville all the time, so I see a lot of it in photos. I don’t think that I have been in Nashville, but I’m gonna make it there one day, for sure.

Suzanne: You should. It’s a lot of fun. It’s a lot of fun.

Sharon: Seems like it.

Suzanne: And, Lori wants to know if you’re still designing your POMP jewelry.

Sharon: It was called pump, p-u-m-p, pump.

Suzanne: Oh, okay. Pump.

Sharon: P-O-M-P. Now I forgot that. While it’s been a while, it’s been a very long time. When did we close that? We closed it. I don’t– years ago, so no, we’re not still doing that.  It was me and my friend, Ella, who used to be the head of the costuming department here at Young and The Restless.

Suzanne: Okay.

Sharon: We’re good friends also in real life, so we designed and made this jewelry company together, but we closed it up quite a while ago. I’m not still doing it. I have some leftover spare pieces that I just kept that I like, that I wear. And, I think… you know, we have thought about bringing back just, not a whole line, but maybe like one or two pieces that were very popular. We’ll see.

Suzanne: Okay, and Marilyn again wants to know what made you want to be an actress.

Sharon: Gosh, I don’t think I did want to be one. I fell into it, and it ended up working out, and I eventually came to like it, so I stuck with it.  But I didn’t really plan to be. I was a dancer… I was a ballerina when I was a little girl, and I just thought I was always going to be a ballerina. But I started booking jobs as an actress because of that.

Suzanne: Oh, okay.

Sharon: Once I started working as a dancer, you start working as a model.  You start, you know, you just start branching out and getting… get offered a variety of things.

Suzanne: Mm-hmm.

Sharon: I’ve done hosting jobs for various shows in the past. You know,  I guess it’s just as a performer, you do a lot of different kinds of things, but I never did plan to be an actor. When I was in school, I didn’t go to acting school. I wasn’t in the drama class. I was in the play production class. I liked learning how to produce. And, I kind of thought, well, maybe I would do something in that regard.

Suzanne: Interesting. Do you have any pictures of yourself as a ballerina? If so, you should post them on Instagram.

Sharon: I know, I should. I do. I think I have some really, really bad ones. I did say, I just saved the ones that are most embarrassing. I have to take those out. I left them at my parents house.

Suzanne: Oh, those would be fun to see, though. I think everybody would enjoy seeing those.

Sharon: I know, it would be a good laugh, right?

Suzanne: Aw, no, because you’re probably, you think they’re terrible, but we’d probably go, Oh, look how cute she looks.

Sharon: I’m probably universal, universally terrible. But we’ve all seen that before, you know, pictures of us when we’re young and in a silly costume. But that was fun. That’s what kids do.

Suzanne: So you didn’t like being an actress when you first started? Is that what you kind of said there?

Sharon: I didn’t really. You know, I wasn’t trained at first as an actress, so I didn’t really know what I was doing.  I found it difficult and, you know, it’s hard to enjoy doing something that you don’t feel you’re good at or you’re nervous about. But then I eventually did go to acting school. I, you know, I thought, wow, if I’m going to keep doing this and booking jobs, doing this, I’m, I better go to school for this, get training.  Maybe that’ll make a difference. And I think it did.

Suzanne: Okay, great. And, so, those are all my questions, but is there anything else… are you allowed to tell us anything, about the upcoming weeks or episodes?

Sharon: Well, I can’t give away story, you know, because I’m– I don’t know why they make us…

Suzanne: Spoilers.

Sharon: I wish we could. Yeah, that’s frowned on around here. Very unpopular.

Suzanne: Yeah.

Sharon: I can’t do that. But there is, you know, the stuff that’s aired already keeps going. We know that Sharon has this company, Kirsten, and that keeps rolling, as far as I know, for the time being. And Sharon and Chance and Summer are, you know, doing whatever they’re doing.  I will see what direction that heads in. But that is something that Sharon has going. And then also, Sharon is helpful and supportive with Mariah and Tessa and their baby and her medical situation with her hearing. So that that’s coming up here and there, too.

Suzanne: Okay, and, you mentioned Chance. Now, your characters had random sex back in July.

Sharon: I know!

Suzanne: And then that was kind of the end of it, right?

Sharon: And now we don’t have sex anymore, I guess. Well, at least not on camera. Right?

Suzanne: Yeah. At least as far as we know.

Sharon: We assume they must be doing that.

Suzanne: Yeah, I thought maybe they were putting him and Summer together…?

Sharon: Maybe, I don’t know.

Suzanne: Slowly. But now I’m thinking you and Nick, so I don’t know. Maybe it’s a quadrangle. I don’t know. .

Sharon: Well, that would be interesting. But, you know, that would be going, out, you know, into the future too far where I don’t even know… I haven’t asked.

Suzanne: Ah.

Sharon: And so I don’t know ultimately what’s gonna happen. Sharon and Chance, Sharon and Nick, or Summer and Chance. I, I don’t know. But  it’s been fun working with all of them.

Suzanne: Yeah, I’m sure.

Sharon: I’m having a nice time.

Suzanne: Yeah. Anything else you’d like to tell your fans?

Sharon: Let’s see. Well, thank you all so much for tuning in and staying with us all these years and for all of your comments, and thank you for asking me questions for this interview today.

Suzanne: Oh, my pleasure.

Sharon: The fans asked questions. You too, Suzanne. Thank you.

[Both laugh]

Suzanne: We’re all happy. We’re all fans, and we’re all happy to talk to you.

Sharon: I love when I get asked questions from the fans and they post a question for my interview. It means a lot to me that people were paying attention or wanted to participate or hear something from me.  It means a lot. Thank you all.

Suzanne: All right. Well, thanks so much for talking to me today. I really appreciate it. And I look forward to seeing what else Sharon gets up to, and I hope they give you one of those special standalone episodes for your 30th anniversary, like they’ve done before with Michael. And I don’t remember who else… Victor.

Sharon: That’s a great idea.  Yeah. We haven’t done one of those in a while. Yeah, that would be fun. That would be a lot of work, too.

Suzanne: Yeah. All right. Thank you so much.

Sharon: Thank you. All right. Bye.

Suzanne: Bye. Bye.

Recap written by Michele and Cheryl

Maggie cleared Vivian’s things out of the office. Alex showed up and she told him what happened. Alex let her know that he was happy that she got the house, but he was the one who got control of the Titan. Maggie didn’t agree with him. They went back and forth about who should be in charge of the company. Alex didn’t want Maggie to keep arguing with him because he wanted to be CEO. She wanted to know if it was payback for her firing him. He assured her that wasn’t the reason he wanted the job. He didn’t agree with the way she ran the company, but he wasn’t trying to get revenge. He wanted the job because he felt like Victor wanted him to run it. She thought she could be there for him once the truth came out. She wondered if Victor wanted them to work together. He didn’t think it would work because they don’t have the same views for the company. He warned her that he would get the board involved if she didn’t walk away willingly. She backed down and told him that she was disappointed in him. He offered her a job, but she didn’t want it. Kate went to see Marlena. They talked about Philip and Chloe leaving together. Kate was afraid that Philip would backslide if he were with Chloe. Marlena reminded her that he was a grown man, and that Chloe wouldn’t go to New York with him if she didn’t think he changed. Kate was sad because she thought it was a chance for them to get closer. Gabi was getting ready for a meeting, but Vivian had other plans. Vivian wanted to go to the meeting, but Gabi didn’t like that idea. Vivian said that she didn’t have anything now that Maggie kicked her out so she needed to be by her son’s side. Gabi told her not to get too comfortable with being there. Vivian said she that wasn’t going anywhere.

Jada arrived at the DiMera mansion with questions for Stefan. She wanted to know why he lied to her. He lied again about hearing the gunshot from upstairs. He told her that the prints on the gun belong to Dimitri and Kristen. He said that Kristen must have shot him. She told him that the bullet that came from Dimitri didn’t match the gun. Stefan still acted as if he didn’t know anything. Jada threatened to lock him up if he lied to her. Gabi told her that she couldn’t lock Stefan up. Gabi told her that Vivian was the one who shot Dimitri. She gave Jada the gun from Vivian’s bag. Stefan wanted to know what she was doing. She told him that she wasn’t going to let him go to prison for his mother. Vivian walked in the room and wanted to know what happened to her gun. Vivian told Jada what really happened, and Stefan backed up her story. Gabi told her that they wanted to press charges against Dimitri for trying to kill them. Jada wanted to know if they would testify, and they agreed to do it. Jada thought it would help Vivian avoid attempted murder charges. She told her that she was still in violation of her parole, but she was going to talk to her parole officer. After Jada left, Stefan demanded answers from Gabi. She didn’t want him to get in trouble. Stefan was upset and Vivian asked him if he was going to let Gabi throw her under the bus. He said there was nothing they could do since Jada knew the truth. Vivian said she had to leave town. Gabi couldn’t be happier about it. Stefan and Vivian share a warm goodbye. After Vivian left, Gabi thought she did him a favor by getting her to leave. Leo saw Kristen at the hospital. He blamed her for what happened to Dimitri. She said that she didn’t shoot him, but he didn’t do it. He stormed off to be with Dimitri. Dimitri woke up and saw Gwen standing over him. He told her that he was shot. She wasn’t surprised since he was a dirtbag. Gwen told him that she knew the truth. He apologized to her. She was sorry too and took a scalpel from her boot. He was afraid because he thought she was going to cut his penis off to punish him and Leo. He called for help as she got closer and then Leo walked in the room. Leo stopped her from cutting him. Leo begged her not to hurt him. He hoped that she would forgive him. She refused and walked out the room.

Jack: Mamie, do you know how happy it makes me to see you like this?

Mamie: Like what? Energized? Strong? A woman on top of the world?

Jack: Yeah, that about covers it. You forgot to mention beautiful as ever.

Mamie: Oh, no, I didn’t. I just paused so you could say it.

*******************

Mamie: Okay. I’ll tell you, but only because I remember how you used to pout whenever you thought people were keeping secrets from you.

Jack: Wait. I didn’t pout.

Mamie: Yeah, you keep on telling yourself that. I bought out a private investor and I now have a major stake in chancellor-winters.

Nick: I highly doubt my brother regretted anything. He took advantage of the fact that I was gone.

Sally: No, no.

Nick: Hey, nick’s out of town. Let me real quick try and seduce sally and see if I can convince her to dump him and get back with me.

Sally: No, nick, that’s not what happened.

Nick: That is exactly what happened. This is how my brother operates. It’s who he is.

Sally: He really did seem to feel bad afterward.

Nick: I highly doubt that. So what? He kissed you, then what?

Sally: What? What– what do you mean?

Nick: What did he say? Did he say anything else? Like uh, that he still loved you or he thought the two of you still belonged together?

****************************

Victor: I assume you’re implying that I should be worried about your sister?

Adam: Yes. I mean, that was– that was quite an act she put on earlier. Suddenly pleasant and rational. No issues at all. I mean, you saw right through that, right?

Victor: You know I’m not worried about anyone. Not your sister, not Nate, not you.

Adam: Well, then you are not looking closely enough.

Victor: I run this damn place. If any problem should raise its ugly head, I’ll excise it.

Adam: Gonna nip it?

Victor: Anyone who is disloyal to me or to Newman enterprises.

Adam: Good morning, boss. I, uh, took the liberty of ordering you some coffee. Should be out soon.

Nate: Adam, thank you for coming.

Adam: Mm-hmm. Uh, I pride myself on being on time. Early even. And as your new assistant, I await your command.

Nate: Hm, I thought it best we discuss how this is going to work moving forward.

Adam: Sure thing, you’re in charge. Um, now how do you take your coffee? Cream, sugar? And is there a paper that you read first thing in the morning?

Nate: The attitude isn’t necessary. And it’s not gonna work with me.

[ Adam clears throat ] I asked you here because I’d like to set some ground rules and expectations, so there are no misunderstandings later.

Adam: Mm.

[ Adam chuckles ] You must be in heaven.

Nate: I’m not sure what you mean.

Adam: Having this much power over me. It’s thrilling, isn’t it?

*************

Nick: Here’s a thought. Why don’t we just give up all these dreams and plans we have for all these other businesses and just do nothing? Seriously, we just hang out with each other. Live off love and, uh, spoil each other rotten.

Sally: Well, we might wear each other out pretty quickly.

Nick: Are you questioning my stamina?

[ Sally chuckles ]

Sally: Never. Mm-mm. No, I’m just saying that we both have to work. I mean, I don’t think either of us would last more than a week without a sense of purpose.

Nick: So, our connection isn’t purpose enough? Wow. Okay, well, it is for me.

Sally: What has gotten into you?

Nick: I don’t know. I just– I woke up this morning and I was just really, really grateful that I get to wake up next to you. I really missed you.
