Daniel tells Devon that he and Heather have decided to give their relationship another chance. Devon agrees to let Daniel tell Lily he wants to be with Heather. Daniel tells Heather that they should put things on pause until he can talk to Lily.

Jordan tells Anna that the FBI took her last night and told her not to investigate Chris’s shooting because it will ruin an investigation of theirs and they turn down her offer to help them.

Jordan tells Anna it was suspicious when the FBI guys stopped the interrogation after talking to someone and then the men said she could go. Anna and Jordan decide to team up to solve the mystery of why the FBI doesn’t want anyone to know who shot Curtis.

Gregory’s ALS gets worse as he is unable to walk for a little while and he has chest pains, as well as, shortness of breath. Traci offers to drive Gregory home and she helps Gregory walk to her car.

Martin gets angry with Lucy because she won’t tell him what she and Scott are doing. Curtis regains the feeling in his feet after his surgery and his family is hopeful that he will be able to walk again.

Devon puts things in motion so Abby can join the board of Chancellor-Winters and Abby is excited to rejoin the business world.

Heather continues to push Daniel to give her a second chance and break up with Lily.

Jack takes Nikki to his house and is very glad Nikki called him after having two drinks. Nikki tells Jack all the details of her family’s ordeal with Jordan.

Jordan calls Claire at the hospital and tells the nurse that she is Victoria so that Claire will take her call. When Claire talks to Jordan, she tells her not to call again and that she wants her dead.

Nikki makes Jack promise not to tell Victor he is her sponsor because she thinks it would cause trouble in her marriage. Jack agrees to keep it a secret for now hoping that Nikki will decide to tell Victor that he is her sponsor.

Thomas drops by Hope’s place to get a toy that Douglas left. He misses Hope. They talk about how great it is to have Eric back. Hope forgives Thomas for not telling her about what really happened with Emma. There are some flashbacks, and then they kiss.

Bill and Poppy try to sneak out of the beach house, but Luna (who’s making out with RJ in the living room) sees them. Bill and Poppy go in, so Bill explains that he was just showing Poppy around the place. He claims that he didn’t realize that Wyatt had already rented it out. RJ and Luna leave and go back to the office. Poppy is really embarrassed, but Bill thinks it was a funny situation. He doesn’t think RJ and Luna knew that they had been in the bedroom, though. Poppy and Bill relax on the couch comfortable, cuddling.

Back at Forrester, RJ and Luna still can’t believe that Bill and Poppy showed up.

At Crimson, Drew introduces Carly to Nina as the new editor-in-chief, and she’s fired. Nina is shocked but applauds their revenge. She wonders if they’re even now. Drew points out that she had to be punished for what she did. They argue, and they tell her to get out. Carly’s isn’t sure that she can run Crimson, but Drew thinks she would be great at it. She supposes she can run both Bobbie’s and Crimson, at least for a while. They agree to be partners at Crimson, and then they kiss. Then they throw away Nina’s nameplate.

Upset, Nina runs into Olivia in the restroom. Olivia is surprisingly sympathetic and explains to a shocked Nina that she didn’t rat her out before because she wanted to keep the peace. She still thinks that’s possible and suggests to Nina that she move on gracefully. However, Nina vows to herself in the mirror that she will go to war with Drew and Carly.

Lucy is on the phone with Scott, who’s at the Metro Court. He’s waiting for Tracy to arrive. Lucy is worried what he’s going to tell Tracy. She’s about to rush out when Martin shows up, surprising her. He missed her and feels like they haven’t been connecting lately. She is intrigued by what he’s saying, but she really wants to rush off to the Metro Court. She claims she has meetings after he surprises her with spa tickets. They go to the Metro Court together. He tries talking to her, but she is watching Scott and Tracy the whole time. He realizes Lucy is distracted and gets annoyed (remembering what Tracy told him). He demands to know what’s going on with her and Scott.

Meanwhile, Scott and Tracy sit at the bar. Scott tries to warn her that Lucy is after her, but she’s clearly both amused and not buying a word he says. He tells her that he wanted to check on her because he feels she’s lonely, like he is. He takes her hand as he says that. They agree that they’re having fun and should do this again. Scott orders Champagne.

Also at the Metro Court, Chase and Brook Lynn sit down with Gregory. They ask him to officiate at their wedding. He’s honored but doesn’t think it’s a great idea because of his ALS. It sometimes affects his speech, and he doesn’t want to ruin their wedding. They both assure him that they still want him to do it. He agrees, but only if they choose a backup officiate, just in case.

At the PCPD, Laura is annoyed that Spencer let Nikolas take Ace away from Esme. Dante comes out to talk to them about the possible kidnapping, but legally Nikolas does have part custody of Ace, so it’s not necessarily kidnapping. However, he didn’t ask Esme’s permission, so Dante wants to find Nikolas as well as Esme and question them both, especially after Spencer tells him that Esme has her memory back.

Esme visits Heather in Ferncliff (or wherever she is these days) to ask her advice because she has no one else to turn to. Heather advises Esme to leave town, hide and regroup. Then Heather plans to escape, and the two of them can get Ace back from Nikolas together. Esme doesn’t like that idea. She wants to get Ace back right away and take revenge on all those that she feels wronged her.

Today is make-out day on the show! At the beach house (formerly Wyatt’s), Bill and Poppy are half-dressed and kissing, in the bedroom. Meanwhile, RJ and Luna are in the living room, admiring the view (Wyatt rented it out to RJ). Then they start kissing as well. The show goes back and forth between the two couples, teasing us. Will RJ and Luna walk in on Bill and Poppy having sex? Thankfully, no.

Bill tells Poppy that he thinks their meeting was not random. She came back into his life for a reason. Luna hears some sounds, so RJ shows her around the beach house (but oddly, doesn’t go into the bedroom). They go back to kissing, but Luna is uneasy. She’s apparently psychic because she feels like something is not right.

Poppy hears voices and recognizes Luna’s voice. Bill thinks that’s highly unlikely, but he texts Wyatt to find out that he rented the place to RJ. Whoops! Poppy starts to freak out a bit.

Finn is texting Steffy from his office when Li drops by. She praises him on how he saved Eric’s life. Finn is modest about it, but she is proud of him. He thanks her but suggests she more supportive of Poppy and Luna. She doesn’t want to hear that and talks about how Poppy is a gold digger who preys on older rich men. She has to protect her family from that (she at least does admit, finally, that Luna is innocent of all this). Finn is disgusted by what she says. They argue.

At Forrester, Thomas and Steffy chat about how much better Eric is doing, and how he’s settling in at home. They’re very grateful to Finn for saving him. They think they should celebrate Eric and Finn. Phone calls have been pouring in to wish Eric well. Thomas makes a point of telling Steffy how grateful he is to him for what he did for Eric.

Later, Finn and Steffy make out in his office. They talk about Eric, too, and she credits Finn for saving him. Finn is modest about it, as always. As she talks about how great Finn is, they show flashbacks to when they first met (when he saved her life), when they had a baby, when he proposed, and when he found her again (after she thought he had died).

Kyle and Summer talk about their divorce being final and they wish each other happiness. Kyle figures out Summer has a crush on Chance and he is happy that she is smiling again.

Ashley and Tucker argue once again about what happened in Paris. Tucker tells Ashley to go to the restaurant in Paris and interview the staff of the restaurant in Paris and ask them if they remember their argument between them. Ashley tells Traci that Tucker is gaslighting her about their argument in Paris. Traci promises to help Ashley find out the truth about what happened in Paris between her and Tucker.

Nikki goes to visit Claire at the hospital. She tells her how Victoria was as a little girl. Claire wishes that she had been raised by Victoria because she would have had the family that she always envied when she was a little girl. Nikki wants to have a drink after her visit with Claire and she calls Jack to tell him she is in trouble.

Heather drops by Daniel’s place. He invited her, but things are awkward, since she told him that she loves him. He reminds her that he’s involved with Lily. She asks if he’s in love with Lily, but he replies that he and Lily are not in that place yet. She wonders if it would be worth it to him, to choose Lily over getting back with her and being a family with their daughter. He’s not sure. She really puts the pressure on him to reunite with her and make a family, so they kiss and then end up having sex.

Victoria meets with Nikki. They briefly chat about Seth. Victoria tells her that Claire is allowing her and Cole to visit her, and she actually hugged her. She’s not happy that Victor summoned Cole to the ranch in order to butt into her business. Nikki thinks that Victor is just looking after her, like he should, and he worries that she and Cole will be getting back together, since they hurt each other before. Later, Nikki goes to visit Claire (but it looks creepy because Claire is asleep in bed).

Victor and Adam chat at the office for a minute about their E-Ventures and how well things are going with Adam and Nick. Victor is very proud of his sons working together, finally. Adam wonders if he and Nick will be shuffled around again if/when Victoria comes back, but Victor assures him that he and Nick are more than just placeholders. They chat about Sally. Although Victor admits that he doesn’t think Sally is good enough for either of his sons, he knows that she loves him and that the heart wants what it wants and can’t be denied. He agrees to try to trust her feelings for Adam. Adam is bowled over that Victor has basically given his support to the relationship. Later, Victoria drops by and tells Victor to leave Cole alone. They argue a little about Claire. Victor asks him to trust her to make her own decisions and to let her, Cole and Claire work it out. He agrees with a sigh. She then asks him to accept Claire once she’s released. He’s doubtful that Claire can shake Jordan’s conditioning, but he hopes it works out. If she does, then he will accept her into the family. They hug.

Sally and Nick are at Company. They agree to be friends and hug. After Sally leaves, Sharon confronts Nick about whether that was all an act or not. He protests that it’s not. He’s just worried that Adam will hurt her again. Sharon agrees that love is a risky business. Nick confides that after everything that’s happened to his family lately, he’s decided that the most important thing is to protect his family and to concentrate on making things work at business and with his brother. He is hopeful that things will continue to go well with Nick and is excited to be working at Newman again. They both agree that falling in love is exhausting. Sharon comments that they’ve both finally found themselves. He asks her to lunch.

Adam greets Sally at Society. He tells her about getting Victor’s approval. They kiss. Sharon and Nick arrive and say hi. Sally can tell that Adam keeps watching Sharon and Nick together. He wonders if Destiny is real because he thinks that fate always put Nick and Sharon together, and he thinks it may be destiny that he and Sally are back together, too. Nick and Sharon catch up and laugh a lot together.

Adam is terrified that his parents will find out that he attempted suicide. He tells Portia he accidentally took too many pills. Josslyn asks Portia not to let Adam go home with his father.

Adam’s father is angry with Josslyn because he tells her Adam never got drunk and partied all night until he became friends with her. Josslyn gets angry and yells at Adam’s father that Adam almost died because he was so afraid of disappointing him by not getting good grades. Josslyn tells Adam’s father that Adam is very afraid of him to which Adam’s father replies that Josslyn is lying and tells Portia that Josslyn doesn’t leave he will sue the hospital. Jocelyn leaves. Portia tells Adam’s father that they need to talk about Adam’s condition.

Laura arrives at the hospital because Cyrus called her and Spencer so they can talk about Ace. Spencer tells Laura he gave Ace to Nikolas because he suspects that Esme has regained her memory. Laura tells Spencer he should have talked to her about his suspicions instead of putting Ace in danger by sending him on the run with Nikolas. Laura calls Dante to tell him Ace has been kidnapped and they need to find him.

Carly and Sam are worried because Drew seems to be angry at the world since he got out of prison. Carly and Sam decide to give Drew time to work things out and support him. Drew forces Nina to sign a termination contract and quit Crimson Magazine or he will close the magazine. Once Nina signs the contract, Drew tells Nina he never intended to close the magazine and he has already found a new editor in chief. Drew introduces Nina to the new editor-in-chief…Carly appears at the door.

Harris wanted answers from Ava about what was going on at the restaurant. She tried to keep the truth from him, but he demanded answers from her. Xander and Sarah got settled moving in together. Stefan talked to Gabi on the phone. He wanted to make sure she was okay. After his call with Gabi, he looked for Ava. Harris wanted to know what was going on with Ava. She tried to leave, but Harris stopped her. He thought she was back in the mob, but he knew that wasn’t it. She avoided telling him the truth. He wanted to help her. Ava told Harris that he didn’t find anything in the restaurant. She informed him that he scared off her customers. Ava wondered what he wanted from her. He said he wasn’t a cop. Harris cared about her and wanted to help her. Xander was aware that the apartment was crowded. He wondered if they needed everything in the apartment. She agreed they could get rid of things. Sarah wanted to get rid of his trunk. He didn’t want to get rid of it because it had sentimental value. Harris continued to ask Ava to open up to him. The Johnson family gathered for dinner. Steve grilled Everett about his relationship with Stephanie. Stephanie was embarrassed by Steve’s questions for Everett. Stefan interrupted Harris and Ava while they were talking. He informed Harris that he had to talk to his lawyer if he wanted info from them.

Stephanie let her father know that she was embarrassed by his questions. Steve wanted to get to know Everett better. Everett seemed okay with Steve’s questions. Tripp announced that he and Wendy had an announcement. Xander was in pain because he had to move Sarah’s gnomes. She thought is trunk was the reason why he was in pain. Sarah offered to give him a massage. She thought they should go to bed since Victoria was going to be up soon. Xander grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a kiss. Ava didn’t appreciate Stefan ordering her around. He thought she was going to open her mouth to Harris. Harris walked in the restaurant and saw the way Stefan manhandled her. He wanted to know if Ava would press charges against him. Stefan pulled Ava into a kiss. Tripp and Wendy talked about a scavenger hunt that they could try in Salem. Stephanie thought they could do it for charity. Harris didn’t approve of Stefan cheating on his wife. Stefan and Ava allowed him to believe they were together. Harris walked out of the restaurant. Ava couldn’t believe Stefan kissed her. He said he didn’t mean anything by the kiss.

Claire continues to have nightmares about Jordan, but Victoria is at her bedside to tell her that she is safe. Claire admits that she is scared about what will happen when she leaves the hospital. Victoria tells Claire she and Cole will help her every step of the way. Victoria hopes that Claire will let her and Cole be her parents and she will get to know her family. Claire gives Victoria a hug which Victoria later tells Cole gives her hope that Claire will someday accept them as her parents.

Nikki tells Lauren that Victor’s feelings will be hurt if she tells him Jack wants to be her sponsor. Lauren advises Nikki to be honest with Victor and explain to him why she needs Jack to be her sponsor.

Victor tells Nikki that he is worried that Victoria and Cole will become romantically involved again and it wouldn’t be good for her because of what she has been through this past year.

Tucker tells Ashley that she invented a fantasy about their argument in Paris so she would have a reason to split from him and return to her family. Tucker thinks Ashley is afraid of commitment so she finds a way to get out of any serious romantic relationship.

Michael is grateful that Carly understands why he kept what Nina had done a secret from her Drew and Sonny. Willow tells Michael she understands why he kept the secret about Nina, but she doesn’t need his protection and she wants him to always tell her the truth.

Drew and Anna have a talk. Drew realizes he needs to get the toxicity out of his life. Drew later tells Carly that Nina needs to pay for what she did to their families and he knows how to make her pay.

Esme asks Cyrus for help to find Ace. Cyrus tells Esme he will call his contacts to see if they can find Ace. Cyrus calls someone on the phone and asks the person on the other end of the phone to come to the hospital because he needs their help.

TJ tells Jordan that Kristina got inseminated today.

Blaze and Kristina talk about their relationship and decide to take things slowly and see where things go between them.

Jordan talks to someone on the phone and the person tells her that they have information about the gun that was used in Chris’s shooting. Jordan is about to leave to meet the person she spoke to on the phone when she gets kidnapped by two men.

Elizabeth persuades Mr. Muldoon’s doctor to talk to them about Mr. Muldoon’s case on a hypothetical basis so as not to violate doctor patient confidentiality. Dr Sawyer tells Finn and Elizabeth that she referred Mr. Muldoon to an oncologist but she doesn’t know if he kept the appointment because he never called her office back to tell her he had kept the appointment with the oncologist. Finn and Elizabeth decide to find Mr. Muldoon’s oncologist to see if he kept the appointment Dr. Sawyer made for him.

Spencer tells Esme that he gave Ace to Nikolas because he thinks she has regained her memory and is keeping it a secret from everyone. Esme doesn’t admit the truth to Spencer and tells him she is going to call the police to find Ace and bring him back home. Spencer tells Esme that, if she calls the police, he will tell them that he suspects she has regained her memory and she will be charged with posting the video of Cameron and Josslyn and framing Trina for the crime.

Willow tells Nina that their relationship is over because she enjoyed telling Carly and Drew that Michael knew that she turned them in and didn’t tell Carly and Drew the truth. Michael tells Carly and Drew that he kept Nina’s secret because he didn’t want Sonny and Willow to get hurt. Drew thinks Michael should have told him and Carly and they could have decided if they should tell Sonny and Willow the truth. Carly asks Drew to leave her and Michael alone because they need to talk.

Nikki talks to Seth who admits to her that he drank yesterday. So, she tells him to go to a meeting and call his sponsor. Nikki also tells Seth she can’t be around him because her sobriety is too precarious right now.

Jack tells Diane about his addiction to pain killers and that he wants to help Nikki regain her sobriety. Jack later talks to Nikki and offers to help her get sober again. Nikki thanks Jack for the offer and tells him she will think about it. Nikki later calls Lauren if they can meet to talk.

Audra tells Tucker she wants nothing more to do with him personally or in business.

Kyle tells Diane she should be co-CEO of Jabot and Jack has the same idea.

At the police station, Harris got an alert and left with the police officers. Stefan and Ava talked about hiding a new batch of drugs. Harris and the police showed up at the Bistro. He said it was a raid. Ava wanted to know why he did that. She thought he did it because she broke up with him. Harris said he was concerned about Stefan owning the Bistro. He wanted her to tell him the truth so he could help. She said he was acting like this because she broke up with him. When Harris tried to reason with her, Stefan interrupted to say he was suing the city over the raid. After the police finished searching the restaurant, Harris let them know that no drugs were found. He apologized to Ava. She apologized to the guests and offered them a free dinner. Stefan told Ava he had an interesting conversation with someone who received insider information about the raid. The person got involved at the right time to get rid of the drugs before the raid. When Stefan got a call from Gabi, Ava got a message from someone telling her to meet them at the dock.  She went to meet the person at the dock. The person turned out to be Harris.

Brady met Theresa and Alex in the interrogation room. Justin showed up with Tate. They were happy to see him. Justin told them he made a case for Tate to be transferred to a juvenile facility and the judge approved of it. Brady and Theresa thought EJ would try to get the judge to revoke the decision. Justin thought his case would hold up. Tate asked why he had to go to rehab when he didn’t do drugs. Justin said the facility was for behavioral problems. Tate said he didn’t have behavioral problems. Justin said it was the only option. He asked Brady or Theresa to pack up Tate’s things since he would be leaving on a police transport soon. Justin said the facility was in Illinois. Theresa said she wanted to follow the bus and make sure Tate was settled properly. Justin told her it was against the rules. He said no outside contact was allowed for the first month. Tate said he would be okay. Justin got a message from EJ saying he accepted the judge’s order and wouldn’t appeal it. Alex apologized to Justin for doubting his abilities. He said Justin was a good lawyer. Justin accepted his apology and told him he would always be there for him.

The town celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Nicole ran into Abe and Paulina. Paulina asked her about Holly and she told her about the treatment facility. She’s praying that Holly could get helped the way EJ did. Nicole hoped for a miracle for Holly. Jada told Rafe about being racially profiled. Johnny and Chanel talked about Paulina’s biopsy. She was afraid her mother would get bad news. Chanel admitted to Johnny that she pretended to be okay so her mother wouldn’t be scared. He promised to keep her secret safe. Later, Johnny, Chanel, Rafe and Jada talked about equality. Chanel said she and Johnny’s parents were supportive of their relationship. Jada admitted that her mother wasn’t happy about her marrying a Jewish white man. They continued to share stories with each other. Johnny informed Rafe that he admired him. The group listened to Paulina’s podcast. Sloan and Leo ran into each other at the square. They argued about his budget. Leo informed her that he was back at the paper. She got nervous, but he assured her that he wouldn’t reveal her secret yet. Nicole wanted to know what happened. Sloan lied to her about her conversation with Leo. Nicole misunderstood what she meant and thought she was mad.

Sloan informed Nicole that she didn’t have a reason to be mad since she had a wonderful baby and husband. They talked about Holly. Nicole told her that she was going to Italy with Holly. Sloan admitted she was nervous about having dinner with John and Marlena. Nicole gave her tips to get through the dinner. While they were talking Sloan told her that she saw her with Holly and Eric. She didn’t tell Eric, but she was glad he got a chance to see Holly before everything happened. Sloan admitted that she had to accept that Eric loved both of them. Chad and Everett volunteered to clean the park for MLK Day. Everett got dizzy while they were working. Chad asked him what was wrong, and Everett told him that he gets dizzy sometimes. He offered to help him, but Everett didn’t need it. They went to the office and ran into Leo. Leo informed them about the article he was writing. Paulina was worried that her voice wouldn’t hold up on the podcast. Chad and Everett read Leo’s column and they were impressed with it. They weren’t sure about the consequences of publishing his article. Leo and Everett convinced him to publish it. After some convincing, Chad decided to publish the article. Abe supported Paulina as she waited for her biopsy results. She had to wait until tomorrow to get them. He wanted to be there for her as she waited. She was able to complete her podcast about equality and inclusion.

Sonny gets to the hospital in time to stop Dex from killing Cyrus using an injection. Cyrus tells Sonny that he is dropping the charges against him because he has become a new man and has decided to turn the other cheek. Sonny wonders who got to Cyrus but Cyrus doesn’t tell him because he promise not to reveal their identity.

Nina tells Dex she is worried about Sonny and wants to know how he is doing. Dex doesn’t tell Nina anything because if Sonny wanted her to know something he would tell her himself. Dex later tells Sonny he thinks Nina persuaded Cyrus to drop the charges against him. Sonny tells Nina he doesn’t need or want her help. Sonny also tells Nina to stay away from him and his business. Sonny tells Dex he is going to make Cyrus wish he had allowed him to kill him.

Trina and Esme argue because Trina lets Esme know she and Spencer are going to Paris so she can be in an art program at the Sorbonne. Esme thinks Spencer would be abandoning Ace.

Nikolas persuades Spencer to let him take Ace on the run with him to protect the baby in case Fame regains her memory. Spencer tells Nikolas he thinks Esme has her memory back, but he can’t be sure about it. Spencer makes Nikolas promise to take good care of Ace and never abandon him. Nikolas wants Spencer to go on the run with him, but Spencer doesn’t want to leave Trina and his life in Port Charles.

Finn saves Adam’s life by pumping his stomach, but he doesn’t get approval from the Chiefs of Staff because if he waits for approval Adam could die. Elizabeth persuades the nurse to obey Finn’s instructions. Elizabeth later tells Finn she set up an appointment to talk to Mr. Muldoon’s doctor from Beacher’s Corners.

Josslyn worries that Adam will be upset with her because the hospital is legally obligated to inform his parents of his suicide attempt.

Victor and Victoria bond over Claire and Adam since both Claire and Adam have a troubled past. Victor tells Victoria that she should remember Claire is a victim of Jordan and everything she has suffered isn’t going to go away overnight. Victoria tells Victor she is willing to put in the work to get to know Claire and help her.

Nikki tells Lauren and Victor she thinks that her sponsor, Seth, is drinking again and she is worried she may have triggered him. Seth texts Nikki later asking if she needs help. Victor thinks Nikki should get another AA sponsor. Lauren tells Jack Nikki is drinking again and that Nikki is worried that her sponsor, Seth, is drinking again too. Lauren asks Jack to step in and help Nikki and he agrees to do it.

Danny explains to Christine that the kiss she saw was a trap set by Phyllis and he fell into it. Christine tells Danny that he needs to decide what he wants because she isn’t going to be stuck in this triangle. Danny later tells Phyllis they will no longer have any kind of relationship…they are done as of today.

Lucy texts Heather to go over to Daniel’s apartment because she is the only one who knows how to make the perfect grilled cheese. Heather arrives at Daniel’s apartment and, since they don’t have any cheese, they decide to have peanut butter and banana sandwiches and hot chocolate. Lucy goes to bed after dinner and Heather tells Daniel she is falling in love with him again.

Chance and Summer have dinner. After dinner, Chance tells Summer they should have dinner again soon.

Lauren tells Nikki to call her anytime she needs help and can’t find her sponsor Seth. Nikki promises Lauren she is working hard to regain her sobriety.

Phyllis puts on a bra and panties and, then, a long coat and goes to meet Danny at the jazz lounge. Phyllis asks Danny to play the song she inspired and then she posts the song on social media. Christine sees the song and goes to the jazz lounge. Phyllis tells Danny to stop pretending he feels nothing for her and then kisses Danny. Christine walks in and sees Danny and Phyllis kissing each other.

He recounts everything that happened, with lots of flashbacks. Hope finally agrees that he’s not a murderer.

Meanwhile, Steffy tries to convince Finn that Thomas is not a threat and that he’s changed, but Finn doesn’t buy it. He agrees to let it go, though, for her sake. They decide to have a romantic evening, with no kids.

EJ went to check on Nicole and Holly. Nicole had Holly’s things packed and ready to leave. EJ wanted to talk to her about something he saw yesterday. He told her saw her and Eric at the hospital and realized how important he was to Holly. Nicole said she was grateful that EJ understood. EJ said seeing her in Eric’s arms made him uncomfortable. Nicole said she didn’t want to hear it. He apologized to her and realized he shouldn’t have said anything. She asked how he could be jealous at a time like this. Nicole said Eric was there for her and Holly on Christmas. EJ said Rafe told him the police have been questioning Holly’s friends. He said they admitted to smoking weed. Nicole was shocked. She said weed was legal. EJ said you can’t smoke weed until you’re 21. Nicole remembered Holly taking pills and thought it was aspirin. She wondered if Holly would take drugs. EJ told her not to rush to conclusions. Nicole thought she might have been deluding herself with Holly’s innocence. She said Tate was a good kid and Holly might not have been as innocent as she thought. Nicole wanted to go back to check on Holly. When she left to go to the car, EJ wondered if Tate was telling the truth.

Eric went to see Holly. He talked to her and called her his little girl. Eric apologized for leaving her and Nicole to go to Africa. He said nothing was more important than being her father. Nicole and EJ showed up while Eric was with Holly. Eric said he didn’t want Holly to be alone. EJ suggested exploring other options since Holly’s condition hasn’t changed. He called the clinic where he was at during his recovery. The clinic was encouraging about Holly’s condition. He said the facility could help Holly. Nicole said she would think about it but had to talk to Kayla first. Brady and Theresa talked about Tate. She wondered if they could have prevented what happened. Theresa blamed herself for what happened to Tate. Brady told her not to blame herself. They talked about how excited Tate was over his date with Holly. Despite being at odds with each other, they agreed they were good parents. Kate went to visit Lucas. Lucas wondered why she was there. He said if it was about Dimitri no one knew what happened to him. Lucas said there was a rumor Dimitri was in super max. Kate said she was there because someone wanted to talk to him. Harris walked in and told him what was going on with Megan. While Harris was talking, Kate said Harris was one of the people who saved her life. She said she trusted him. Harris said he was there to offer a deal. He said he needed Lucas’ help to get the intel from the inside. Lucas hesitated to help him. Harris said he knew it was a lot to ask but he was a prison informant before. Lucas still wasn’t sure about helping him. Harris said he would help him get his freedom. Kate understood his decision not to risk his life. Lucas changed him mind and offered to help. Kate begged him not to do it. Harris said he would protect him.

Paulina thanked Harris for his role in tackling the drug ring. He let her know that he brought someone in for questioning. She empathized with the problem. Paulina told him that she saw Holly in the hospital. He let her know that he had an idea on how to fix the problem. Harris said he would share it once it panned out. Everett met with Chad at the paper. They talked about their meeting with the mayor. Everett told Chad that Stephanie was trying to target younger readers. Chad told him that he saw him kissing Stephanie on New Year’s Eve. He assured him that it wasn’t serious. They got carried away. Chad and Everett left to see Paulina. They showed up at Paulina’s office to talk about the MLK celebration in Salem. She looked forward to the celebration. Chad asked her about the drug crisis. She started talking about it and began coughing. Everett wanted to postpone the meeting,but she insisted they keep going. Chad and Everett took care of her. After they left, Paulina called to find out about her results. The doctor’s assistant informed her that she had to be present. Harris met with Roman and Kate at the Town Square. He wondered if he could talk to her alone. Roman wanted him to talk to Kate in front of him. Harris wanted to talk about Lucas. Kate thought something happened to him. Harris assured her that he was okay. He got a tip that the dealer is at Statesville. She didn’t understand why Lucas would be involved in drugs. Harris told her that Lucas was a model citizen. He didn’t have anything to do with it. Harris thought Lucas could help him bring down the person involved in the drug trafficking. They continued to talk about Lucas’ involvement in his plan.

After Harris left, Kate talked to Roman about his plan. Roman was confident that Lucas could handle it. Kate was worried that if something went wrong, Lucas could die. Roman didn’t think Lucas would get caught. He felt like Lucas would be home with his kids and grandchildren soon. Kate called Harris to let him know that she would take him to Statesville to see Lucas. Theresa and Alex let Rafe know that Tate was attacked even though he was in isolation. Rafe didn’t know it happened. He thought one of the guards made a mistake. Brady blamed EJ for what happened. He thought it was a mistake to charge Tate as an adult. Rafe wanted to go to the prison. Theresa wanted Alex to call Justin, but he showed up on his own. He had news and wanted to talk in the interrogation room. Justin told them that Tate’s bail was denied. He said that Tate’s expulsion and guilty plea didn’t help his case. Alex interrupted him and said EJ wasn’t to blame for what happened to Tate. He said Justin was responsible. Rafe returned and told everyone that Tate was place in a newer cell with cameras. He assured them that Tate wouldn’t be in danger anymore. After Rafe left, Alex made snide comments about Justin. Justin knew what he was trying to say. Alex didn’t want Justin to represent Tate from the beginning. Justin defended his actions to him. Alex didn’t think he worked hard enough. Justin wanted to file a motion to get removed from the case. Alex thought it was a good idea. Brady wanted Justin to help, but he refused to get berated by his son. Justin walked out of the interrogation room. Brady wondered what Alex was thinking. Alex said he would get his lawyer to take over the case.

Ava tells Nina that Sonny beat up Cyrus and put him in the hospital. Nina decides to go to the hospital and talk to Cyrus. Sonny asks Dex to kill Cyrus so he won’t have to go to trial for assaulting him. Dex tries to persuade Sonny it isn’t a good idea to kill Cyrus but, Sonny wants to send a message to his enemies. Dex leaves a message for Josslynn on her phone telling her that no matter what happens he will always love her.

Adam is angry with Josslynn for telling the RA about his drinking and his stress about school. Adam worries that his parents will see the referral to health services that the RA put on his student portal since his parents made him give them the password to his student portal. Adam tells Josslynn and the RA he isn’t going to health services. Adam screams for the RA to take the information about health services out of his student portal and then he storms out of the room.

Ava tells Nikolas that he pressed charges against Esme for breaking into Wyndamere, so he decides to leave town.

Curtis awakens from surgery and Portia tells him the doctor said the surgery went very well Curtis advises Trina to go to Paris for the art program without Spencer. Spencer talks to Esme before her hearing and he agrees to bring Ace to the hearing so she can see him. Esme slips and talks about the time Spencer was in jail and Spencer asks Esme if she remembers her past. Esme covers and says Laura told her about his time in jail. Esme thanks Spencer for his support but she slips once more and calls him Spence which is what she used to call him when she told him Trina would never get out of jail for posting the video of Cameron and Trina. Spencer realizes that Esme has regained her memory and just lied to him. Spencer hears a knock on the door and is surprised to see Nikolas at the door.
