Eric brought Jude to see Marlena and John. She noticed that Jude’s smile looks like Eric’s when he was younger. Nicole tried to make a peace offering with Holly, but it didn’t go over well. Steve ran into Ava at the pub. He told her that he knew about Clyde’s black book. While he told her about the book, he told her he thought she was in the book too. Stefan told EJ that the evidence proved that Gil killed Li and not Gabi. EJ didn’t want to open the case. He asked why Stefan was carrying the evidence. Stefan said Rafe thought he would open the case. EJ said there was a conflict of interest. Stefan asked him to put his job first. EJ said he had business to attend to and walked away. Stefan said he was going to regret it. Eric was surprised that Marlena thought Jude looked like him. Marlena said studies showed that adopted children can pick up the traits of their parents. John asked him how everything was going at home. Eric said things were looking up for him financially. Nicole asked Holly if she didn’t want to spend time with her. Holly yelled at her for not letting her go to the prom. Steve asked Ava if she and Stefan were in the black book. Stefan went to Paulina to let her know he had evidence against EJ. She was interested in hearing it. EJ called Rita to let her know that he was going to be running DiMera Enterprises. John asked Eric about working at the Spectator. Eric said it was going okay. He told John and Marlena about the work he and Nicole were doing for a story. Marlena asked if they were working well together. Eric said they were. John asked how Sloan was taking it. Eric said she didn’t understand at first, but she knew he needed the job. Marlena asked if it was difficult for him and Nicole working together. Eric said they were just friends. Nicole said she was worried about Holly pushing herself too hard. Holly told her she didn’t want to be the reason why the next guy walked out the door. Nicole said she was sorry she felt that way. She suggested that Holly drop some classes and take them over the summer. Holly thought she was taking her summer from her. She told Nicole that she didn’t want to end up like her.

Steve told Ava that he knew Stefan found Clyde’s book and took it to the police. Ava told him to stay out of it. Steve said he couldn’t because he and John helped get Clyde out of prison and he was going to say something. Ava said that wasn’t going to happen because she was looking for a permanent solution. Stefan told Paulina that he knew she was having issues with EJ. Paulina said they were at odds. Stefan said EJ refused to open a murder case that would exonerate someone in prison. He said Gabi would be found innocent of killing Li. Paullina said she needed to see the evidence that would exonerate Gabi. He said he had it. Holly told Nicole that she wanted to lead a better life. Nicole said she wanted that too. She said she would have had a different life if her childhood wasn’t screwed up. Nicole told Holly about her childhood. Holly told her controlling her life wasn’t the same as being there for her. When Nicole brought up New Year’s Eve, Holly was upset again. While they were talking, Holly asked if she could let her go to the prom. Nicole told her she couldn’t to the prom because she didn’t trust her. Holly told her that she would rather be dead. She threw up in Nicole’s face that she lost her other babies because she wasn’t cut out for motherhood. Nicole cried and left the room. Paulina looked over the evidence Stefan had. She thought it was compelling but circumstantial. Stefan said Rafe wanted to reopen the case. Paulina said he wanted it because Gabi is his sister. Stefan said the information wasn’t much, but it was enough for the case to be reopen. He said EJ didn’t want to do it. Paulina wanted to know why. Stefan said EJ was afraid that Gabi would try to go after CEO of DiMera. He said EJ was trying to be CEO of DiMera while being D.A. Paulina was upset that he didn’t clear it with her. She called EJ and told him to go to her office. Ava told Steve that they needed a way for Clyde not to expose them and John. She said they needed a permanent solution to take care of Clyde. Stefan showed up while they were talking. Steve left them alone. Stefan told Ava that they needed to talk. He told her EJ wouldn’t reopen the case, but his control might come to an abrupt halt. EJ went to see Paulina. Paulina asked why he was ignoring the evidence in the Li Shin case. EJ said there wasn’t enough evidence. Paulina told him he was going to do what she instructed him to do. EJ asked or else. Holly went to see Marlena in her office. Marlena asked what happened. Holly said she hated herself for saying horrible things to her mother. Steve went to see John and told him he might have a lead on Clyde. He said Jada told him that the police had Clyde’s black book. While Steve was talking, he said the ISA would be able to figure it out. John said they had to stay on top of it. Marlena suggested that Holly write a letter to Nicole. Eric found Nicole drunk at a bar. While EJ and Paulina were talking, she told him he was fired. She said he couldn’t keep his job while he was CEO of DiMera. He went home and said Pauina was going to pay. Eric took Nicole home. She kissed him. EJ saw them kissing.

Marlena and John talked about Maggie giving Victor’s money to his family. They thought Konstantin wasn’t going to like her giving the money away. Steve and Kayla met with Jada at the pub. They talked about her living with Rafe. Kayla talked to Jada about her divorce. Jada was thankful Bobby signed the papers. She hoped he didn’t break Stephanie’s heart like he did hers. Kayla informed her that Steve would go after Bobby if he did something to Stephanie. Steve assured Jada that he would go after Bobby if he hurt her too. She appreciated it. Kayla wanted to see her more. Jada wanted that, but she was getting pulled in different directions. Alex let Konstantin know that he planned to move back to the Kiriakis mansion. He didn’t know if Konstantin was going to be in the section he was staying in. Konstantin backed down when he was talking to Alex. Maggie met with Marlena and John. Marlena discussed Maggie distributing Victor’s money to his family. Maggie said she planned to give Victor’s money to his family before she found out the truth. John told her they needed to get Konstantin to commit a crime. Maggie said she had a plan for Konstantin. She was going to let Alex help them. Maggie felt like it would get rid of Konstantin completely. She explained her plan to Marlena and John. Maggie planned to make it look like Konstantin was embezzling money from the company account. Marlena realized Maggie wanted to expose Konstantin for the thief he is. Konstantin wanted to know what Theresa was doing with Alex. She said she got back into his bed and believed she could get in the mansion.

Jada told Steve and Kayla how they found the Gil’s book. He offered to help decode the book. Jada told him that Harris was on top of it. She told them they were investigating Li Chen’s murder. Kayla thought Gabi did it. Jada implied that Clyde was responsible for his murder. John was impressed with Maggie’s plan. Steve wanted Jada to keep him and Kayla in the loop about Clyde. He was upset that he killed Abby and almost killed Tripp and Wendy. Steve wanted him to be stopped once and for all. Maggie met with Konstantin to ask him a favor. She wanted to start a trust in Victor’s honor. Maggie wanted to put him in charge of the foundation. Konstantin said he’d be honored to do it. Marlena told John he wasn’t the person who worked for Konstantin. She let him know that he’s kind and strong.

Rafe and Ava met at Tripp and Wendy’s apartment. While they were talking, he found out she quit the Bistro. Rafe told Ava that Gil stabbed Li and asked if she could help prove it. EJ and Nicole talked about Holly. He apologized for how Holly acted. She told him he was trying to help like he always did. Stefan told Kristen about Clyde’s ex-associates. He said Rafe couldn’t find them. Stefan said he was trying to help find them. Sloan ran into Leo. She told him that he blew up her life. Leo told her she chose her path. Sloan said he should have printed the truth in his article. Leo said he was good to her. She said he ruined everything. He said he kept his word and didn’t tell Eric. Leo said EJ was the only one who knew about the baby. Nicole talked to EJ about Holly and how Chloe carried. She said she thought she would get another chance at being a mother, but it wasn’t in the cards. Rafe questioned Ava about Gil, but she wanted to protect herself. He said he needed her help. She said she would do what she could to help. Stefan reminded Kristen that the lead fell in her life because he found the book. He said he wanted to kick EJ out of DiMera Enterprises, but his priority was getting Gabi out of prison. Rafe said it looked like Gil killed Li, but wondered what the motive was. He asked what Clyde and Gil wanted. Ava asked if she needed a lawyer. Rafe said he didn’t. He said there were other issues. Rafe wondered why Stefan would take the fall for her. He asked if something was going on between them. Rafe asked if Stefan was cheating on his sister with her.

Sloan asked Leo when he told EJ about the truth. Leo told her it was about five minutes. He said he was drunk and heartbroken. Leo said something wasn’t adding up. Stefan told Kristen he was going to make EJ open Gabi’s case. Kristen said to let Rafe handle it. Ava told Rafe that Gabi was the only woman Stefan loved. She said she thought they were talking about Li’s killer, not her past. Rafe said anyone could look up her past and know that she’s a killer. He said he thought Gil came to the apartment looking for her. He said Li came in and Gil killed him. Rafe said Gabi picked up the knife. He said Ava knew she was the intended victim. Leo said EJ paid him to keep quiet about the baby swap. He said he didn’t have a choice when Eric cut off his money. Sloan said he was the reason why they were in this mess. Leo apologized. He said Jude was always smiling at him. Leo thought Jude should be with his biological mother. Sloan said Jude was never going back to his biological mother. Rafe said he needed Ava to help get Gabi out of prison. Ava said Gil was the kind of man who wouldn’t take no for an answer. Sloan told Leo to keep his mouth shut. He ripped into her for lying to herself and sleeping at night for keeping Nicole from her baby. Sloan told Leo that Nicole was going to be okay. She warned him to keep his mouth shut or she would tell EJ that he wasn’t holding up his end of the bargain. Rafe went to EJ and showed him the evidence that Gabi was innocent of Li’s murder. EJ said he wasn’t opening up the case.

Brady let Marlena know that she was always like a mother to him because she always cheers him on. He gave her a Mother’s Day present. Jada was shocked that Li’s blood was on the black book. Rafe said it connected Gil to Li Shin’s murder. Jada wanted to know how they were going to prove it. Rafe said they had to do something to clear Gabi. Kristen told Stefan that she had evidence that proved Gabi didn’t kill Li. She said he was going to have his wife back as a free woman. Alex told Theresa about the things he bought. He said he was using the money to get over the anger he had towards Victor. Theresa thought it was good that he was letting go of his anger, but Alex said he wasn’t entirely over it. Alex talked to Theresa about the shock of finding out that Victor was his father and not Justin. He told her he was still upset about Justin not being his father. Spending money eased the pain a little. Brady told Marlena that he was grateful to have her as a mother in his life. He loved how she made his father happy. Brady told her that she meant everything to the people in their lives. Kristen told Stefan that she invited Ava over to see if she knew anything about Li’s murder. She said Ava told her about the blood on the black book. Stefan asked if it had anything to do with Li’s murder. Kristen said after the book was analyzed, Li’s blood and Gil’s fingerprints were on the book.

Alex continued to tell Theresa about the things he bought. Theresa wondered if he was going to save some of the money for heirs. He said he didn’t think he was going to have kids. Brady told Marlena about his trip. While they were talking, they talked about Rachel. Marlena said she wished Brady had custody of Rachel. Brady said it killed him that Alex got to see Rachel more than he did. Marlena said she didn’t think Alex and Kristen were serious. Brady said he didn’t think it was at first. Marlena asked if Theresa liked it. Brady said she didn’t. Kristen told Stefan that Gil was looking for Ava but killed Li instead. She said Li was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Brady told Marlena how he felt about Alex. Marlena didn’t agree with him about Alex. Stefan asked Kristen how they were going to prove Gil was Li’s killer. Kristen said reasonable doubt. While they were talking, Rafe and Jada showed up. Rafe told Stefan that they needed a list of everyone who worked at the Bistro when Li was killed. Stefan brought up the black book. He said they were on the same page and agreed to give Rafe the records. Alex told Theresa that he was moving back in the mansion. He told her she could stay in the apartment for as long as he wants to. She was upset about living in the apartment without him. He said he thought she would want time to herself. Theresa said that didn’t make her happy because she liked being with him. Marlena advised Brady to have an honest conversation with Alex. Brady said Alex told him he wasn’t interested in having a relationship with Rachel. Marlena said he sounded jealous of the time Alex spent with Rachel. They talked about Nicole not letting Holly go to the prom. Rafe and Jada told Stefan that he was going to free Gabi from prison. Stefan said he was willing to do whatever it took to help Gabi. Theresa told Alex she never wanted to break up with him. She said she was hurt and embarrassed when he didn’t propose to her. Theresa said she regretted the way she treated him.

Rafe let Jada know that the book was being investigated. Jada felt like it was the break they needed. She hoped Harris had luck tracing it. Ava wanted to know why Kristen wanted to meet with her. Nicole expressed to Eric how devastated she was that Holly hated her. Eric assured her that Holly didn’t hate her. She wanted Holly to understand why she didn’t want her to go to the prom. Eric told her that Holly understood, but she didn’t think so. Sloan wondered if Eric was always going to be with Nicole or was everything crashing down on her. EJ arrived at Sloan’s place. Rafe wanted to call the lab to find out news about the book, but Jada tried to stop him from doing that. She wanted to bring Clyde and Goldman to justice. Jada told Rafe that she had cold cases about Clyde that she wanted to solve. EJ knew Sloan wasn’t lying. He found out that Eric and Nicole are Jude’s parents. Sloan wondered what he was going to do about it now that he knows the truth. Eric and Nicole were talking and found Leo on the ground. Kristen admitted that she wanted Ava to tell her what happened to Li. EJ didn’t know what he was going to do yet. He wondered how she pulled off her plan. EJ assumed she had help with her plan. Sloan said she was the only one who did it. He didn’t seem to believe her. Sloan explained what happened after Nicole gave birth to Jude. EJ wanted to know how Leo found out about what she did. She told him that Dimitri told Leo everything. EJ couldn’t believe that Dimitri knew the baby was his and he still chose his mother over him. Sloan wanted to know what he was going to do about Leo. Rafe wondered why Jada was involved in cold cases. She was focused on Bobby. Bobby wanted her to investigate his mother. Ava didn’t know anything about what happened to Li. Kristen wondered if she was sure about that. She thought Gil and Li were killed within days of each other in the same apartment. Kristen wondered if there was something she didn’t tell the police. EJ planned on taking care of Leo. Sloan wondered if he was going to hurt him. EJ planned to take him to the desert and dig a hole for him. He was kidding and assured her that Leo would be fine. Sloan said the truth about Jude had to remain a secret in order to save their marriages. EJ thought Nicole would be ecstatic once she found out the truth about her baby. He thought he would be a jerk if he didn’t tell Nicole the truth. Sloan told him that Eric and Nicole would get back together. She thought they should keep quiet.

Eric and Nicole put Leo to bed. He told them he was heartbroken because he lost the love of his life. Nicole assured him that he would meet someone new. Leo wondered if things got better for them. They assured him they were happier. Leo didn’t believe them. EJ thought Nicole deserved to know the truth, but he didn’t want to lose her. He thought there could be a compromise. EJ thought he could tell Nicole that Jude was their son. Sloan thought Jude would grow up looking and sounding like Eric. She thought it was best for them to keep quiet. Leo said his heart was in the right place. He wondered if EJ told her about his conversation with him. Leo fell asleep before Nicole could get answers from him. Nicole wanted to know what was going on, but Eric said to let him sleep it off. Ava told Kristen what happened when she killed Gil. Rafe was surprised to hear Jada talk about Bobby in an empathetic way. She didn’t mean to talk about him so much. Jada realized that he wasn’t the man she thought he was. She was thankful he signed the divorce papers. EJ showed up at Leo’s place. Leo didn’t remember him being there. He mentioned how Nicole and Eric were there with him. EJ demanded to know why Nicole and Eric were there. Leo told him they found him passed out and brought him home. He remembered that he wanted to tell them the truth. EJ warned him not to tell him the truth. He wanted to know why. EJ told him the baby belongs to Eric and Nicole. He promised to pay him to keep quiet. Ava would help Kristen find Li’s killer, but she didn’t know how she could help. Rafe received a call that the book had a print of Gil on it. It also had Li’s blood on it. Leo agreed to keep quiet. EJ told him that he would have a wonderful life if he kept quiet. If he broke the promise, EJ would make sure he didn’t have a life. Rafe realized that Gabi didn’t kill Li. He thought Gil was the one who did it.

EJ wanted Rolf to tell him the results of the DNA test. When he got off the phone, Sloan called him. She wanted to know if he got the tests results. EJ said he didn’t. Sloan said she told him the truth about the baby. She asked if he wanted to test the strength of his relationship with Nicole. Sloan wondered if he was worried about Nicole running back to Eric when she found out the truth. Before he could answer, Nicole and Holly showed up. He got off the phone. Chad took Thomas to Abby’s gravesite. Julie talked to Alice at the town square. She wanted a hint on how to open the time capsule. While she was talking, Paulina showed up. She told Paulina that she wasn’t feeling like a good mother. Julie told Paulina not to be too hard on herself. Johnny talked to Chanel about meeting Paulina. Chanel told him she didn’t want to see her mother. She didn’t want to be near Paulina because of her risking her life to save her. While they were talking, she wanted to call Paulina to tell her she wasn’t meeting her. Julie and Paulina talked about the grandkids. While they were talking, Chanel called her and said she wasn’t going to make it. Chanel lied to her about why she wasn’t meeting her. While Tate and Theresa were at the Bistro, Nicole, EJ, and Holly showed up. Theresa and Nicole thought Tate and Holly wanted to go to the Bistro so they could see each other.

Chanel talked to Johnny about it being a strange Mother’s Day for her. She said not too many people know that she’s pregnant. Johnny wondered what was going on with her. She said she was feeling guilty. He wanted to know why. She said children with birth defects need life-long care which could lead to stress on their marriage. Chanel wanted their marriage to be able to survive. Johnny said nothing would change between them. Theresa talked to Tate about the prom. She tried to pump him about his date, but he wouldn’t say much. Nicole told Holly that she wasn’t going to the prom. While Johnny and Chanel were talking about children changing their marriage, Paulina showed up to see Chanel. She said she was going to take care of Chanel. Johnny told Paulina that Chanel needed to rest and hang out another time. Paulina said she wouldn’t stay long. She said she would visit for a few minutes, but Chanel said she didn’t want her to. Holly wanted to know what Nicole meant about her not going to the prom. Nicole said the last time she went out was a disaster. She said Holly was still grounded. Holly said Nicole wasn’t involved in her life. Nicole said she was involved in her life. EJ tried to help the situation, but Holly ripped into him. Chanel ripped into Paulina for risking their lives. When Paulina blamed herself, Chanel continued to yell at her. She told Paulina she didn’t want her there and needed space. Paulina said she understood. Holly yelled at Nicole for not letting her go to the prom. She said she hated Nicole. Chanel told Johnny that she was a horrible daughter for yelling at her mother. Johnny assured her that she did the right thing. EJ found out the results of the baby and found out Jude wasn’t his.

Marlena, John and Steve got Maggie to come over to listen to them. She didn’t to hear what they had to say. Marlena wanted her to listen. Xander went to see Stefan at the mansion. Stefan wondered why he was there. Xander knew he was on Clyde’s payroll. He thought he was focusing on the wrong DiMera. Xander realized that he might be the one who set him up. Maggie was surprised that Konstantin was brainwashing him. John explained what happened when he and Marlena figured out what Konstantin was up to. He let her know that Konstantin wanted him to steal the prenup that she had him sign. John showed her the original version of the prenup. Steve and John informed her that he thought he was getting away with it. John told him that Konstantin told him to steal it. Maggie realized they were telling the truth. Konstantin went to see Sarah and Victoria. He told her that he was going to be her grandfather. Konstantin was happy to have her support. Sarah admitted that he didn’t have it at first. She was glad that he made her mother happy. She warned him not to hurt her mother. Stefan told Xander that he didn’t set her up. Xander told him that he had the money and the means to get the track suit he wore. Maggie couldn’t believe that Konstantin didn’t forgive Victor. She was upset that he showed up there to steal Victor’s money. He wanted to steal her too. Konstantin messed with the wrong red head.

Harris and Ava talked about trying to figure out the book. They were determined to bring Clyde down. Ava wished Harris didn’t have to go. He said he was all in. She wanted to convince him to stay. Ava was going to miss him. He was going to miss her too. Stefan let it slip how much money was offered to Xander. Xander let him know that he didn’t say anything about it. Stefan said it was in the paper, but Xander told him it wasn’t there. Konstantin promised never to hurt Sarah’s mother. Maggie wanted Konstantin in jail. John and Steve told her they had a plan to set up Konstantin. Maggie said he couldn’t get money even without the prenup. She realized he was planning to kill her. Konstantin told Sarah that he would never hurt Maggie. Sarah planned to hold him to that. He thought she was admirable to share her wealth with Victor’s family. He said he remembered Katarina at Victoria’s age. Konstantin wanted to go home to Maggie. Maggie agreed to work with John, Steve and Marlena. They wanted to set her up so they could track everything. Xander went home and told Sarah that he was convinced Stefan set him up. Stefan felt like Xander was getting too close to comfort. Stefan let Gabi know they would find Li’s killer and they would be together. Konstantin met with Maggie. He wanted to know how it went with Marlena. She told him that she had a lot of things to share. Maggie thought it would be a wedding to remember.
