Johnny went to Ben and Ciara’s new place. He gave them the cross that Julie had for them. Ciara wanted to know why she would give them a gift like that. Johnny thought it was because the devil wanted their baby. He talked to them about his movie, but Ben didn’t want any parts of it. Ben thought it was weird that he wanted to make a movie about what happened to his grandmother. Johnny said that Marlena was fine with him making the movie. Ben put the cross up on the wall. Johnny put his hand on Ciara’s stomach. He said that her child would have a protective father. Nancy demanded that Craig and Chloe tell her what they were keeping from her. Craig wanted to tell her in private.  He took her to the Salem Inn. Chloe advised her to listen to him. Brady held Chloe as Nancy followed Craig to the Inn. Chloe wasn’t sure if Nancy could handle what she’s about to hear. She was upset that she was losing the family she knew when she was a teenager.

Craig told Nancy that he never meant to hurt her. She was upset, but she thought they could work things out. She wanted him to promise her that he wouldn’t do it again. He said he couldn’t do that. He admitted to her that he loved a man. She couldn’t believe she was a cover story the entire time. Craig told her that he was attracted to men when he was younger. He admitted that he slept with men when he was younger. He didn’t want that anymore so he put his feelings aside and married her. He said he loved her and wanted a life with her. Nancy asked Craig if he’s bisexual. He told her that he was gay. He said it didn’t take away from their marriage. She said their marriage was based lies. She wanted to know why he wanted to confess now. He admitted that he was in love and there was no going back. He told her that he knew the man for a few months, but he helped him see things a different way. Craig said he knew who he was now. Nancy told him their marriage was dead. She said that he was dead to her too. She ordered him to leave. Abby demanded to know where Steve and Kayla were. Kristen told her that she didn’t kill them. Abby didn’t believe her so Kristen opened the door so she could look for herself. Kristen warned her that the jungle was a vicious place.

Abby wanted Kristen to tell her where Sarah was. Kristen wanted her to mind her business. Kristen’s phone started ringing and Abby wanted to know if she was going to answer it. Chloe told Craig that he could tell Nancy that he’s gay. She said it couldn’t come from her. Craig said that wasn’t accurate. She said he told her that he was in love with another man. It didn’t matter what the terminology was. She said it had to come from her. Nancy arrived when Chloe said she had to leave. Nancy stopped her to tell her that a higher power wanted her there. She said that she knew Chloe was in crisis. She said they were there to help her get back together with Brady. Nancy wanted to tell Brady to meet them at the pub. Chloe wanted her to stop. She said she would call Brady and wanted them to meet her for dinner. Chloe told her that Craig had something to tell her. Nancy thought she knew what he wanted to say. They left the table. Xander proposed to Gwen, but she turned him down. He was upset and Gwen wanted to know why he was mad. He said that she turned him down when he asked her to marry him. Abby wondered why Kristen wouldn’t answer her phone. She asked her who was on the phone. Kristen reminded her that she had a gun so she needed to stop asking so many questions. Kate told Chad that EJ was sentenced to 10 years in jail. Chad didn’t care. He told her Abby was missing. Abby told Kristen that she wanted to know what happened to Sarah. Kristen threatened to shoot her. Abby reminded her that she was a DiMera. Kristen said it was by marriage only. Abby said Chad would hunt her down and kill her. She said Brady wouldn’t like it either. Chloe ran into Brady. She told him her father was having an affair.

Chad told Kate about Abby’s theory. Kate thought the theory was good. He was upset for not believing the theory. Kate told him not to beat himself up. He said he should have known she went to the airport. He said he should have believed her. Gwen told Xander it was about Sarah for why she turned down the proposal. She said he spent the last month looking for her. He said he needed to know that Sarah was okay. Gwen said it was because she dumped him. He said he loved her. She wanted to know how she was supposed to believe him. He said it was the truth. Kristen told Abby that he wanted her to realize she was in control. Chloe told Brady that she overheard Craig talking on the phone with his lover. She told him that her father was cheating on her mother with a man. Brady asked if her father was gay. Craig told Nancy that he was seeing someone else. She was upset when he told her he was having an affair. He wanted to go and talk, but she didn’t want to go. Kristen went to see Sarah. Sarah told her she wanted to go home to Xander. Kristen told her they needed to protect her. Sarah said she was a grown woman. She said she needed to get back to the man she loved. Brady asked Chloe if she suspected that Craig was gay. She said she might have. She told him about the way Craig was with her. Chad told Kate that Kristen was a DiMera. He said they could lie, cheat and steal from each other, but they wouldn’t hurt each other. He said she wouldn’t hurt Abby. He said he had to find her.

Johnny called the judge to thank him for finding his father guilty. Belle apologized to EJ for letting him down. He said he knew he was too arrogant to listen to her. He regretted taking the stand. He thanked her for believing in him when his family didn’t. Later, they returned and EJ screamed. He couldn’t believe he would be wasting his life at Statesville for 10 years. She wanted to help him avoid the press. He wanted her to go be with Shawn. He said he needed time to himself before he went to prison. She wanted to wait for him in the hallway. He insisted that she leave. Belle figured out that he planned on escaping. He realized it was better for her not to know anything. She told him that he would never see his kids again if he ran. EJ finally agreed not to escape. He decided to trust her. Belle vowed to clear his name. Chad texted Abby because he thought she was in Boston with her parents. Gwen texted Chad back with Abby’s phone. Kristen dragged a heavy black bag into a room. She said that Ava and Gwen owed her big time. Johnny found Chad alone and told him about Abby leaving without saying goodbye to him or the kids. Johnny hoped she made it back home in time to film the movie. Chad was shocked he was still filming it. He told him about TR and he threatened him. He also told him how much he wanted to film the movie. Chad didn’t think it was a good idea to film the movie. Chad offered to take over his shares of DiMera while he was shooting the movie. Johnny was sure he could handle running DiMera and filming his movie. He tried to turn Chad against EJ, but he had sympathy for his brother. Chad found out that EJ was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Chad couldn’t believe it, but Johnny thought he got what he deserved.

Chad walked out of the living room after the things Johnny said about EJ. He called Jennifer to ask about Abby. Jennifer told Chad that Abby wasn’t there. Kristen dragged Abby into a room on an island. Abby grabbed her head when she woke up. Kristen told her that she wasn’t at the DiMera mansion. She said she was on a deserted island. Abby tried to get up and leave but she woozy. Kristen grabbed her gun to stop Abby from leaving. Abby recapped what happened to her. She knew Kristen did something to Sarah. She wanted to know where she was. Xander heard Gwen on the phone with Ava. He heard her mention Kristen. He wanted to know why she was talking about her. She was able to cover her tracks and he believed her. He apologized for canceling their trip to look for Sarah. Gwen apologized for overreacting to him looking for Sarah. They had sex with each other and proposed to her. Sarah appeared in the same type of house as Abby.

Nicole went to Rafe’s house to talk about his arrest. Ava wanted to believe he was set up but she remembered that he didn’t believe her when she was accused of a crime. She wondered why she should believe him. Nicole didn’t know what she was talking about. Ava told her that Rafe accused her of attacking her bear. Ava talked about how she would have handled things back in the day. She assured Nicole that she’s a good person now. She said she’d never believe that her best friend would go after her man. She added that she was staying away from Rafe for now so that her past connections don’t mess up his case. Shawn wanted to make things right with Rafe after arresting him. Rafe knew he was doing his job. Shawn believed he was being framed. He just couldn’t get the connection between the accusers. Shawn wanted to know if Rafe still thought Ava was the one who set him up. Rafe has seen her be sweet on the surface but plot behind his back. Shawn was willing to check out Ava’s connection to the men who accused him. Rafe warned him to be careful doing it. Nicole arrived just as Shawn was leaving. She told Rafe that she saw Ava and thought she was guilty.

Paulina yelled at TR and told him to stay away from her. He promised not to hurt her. She said it was too late for that. She wanted to know why he was there. He told her that he changed his name and that he was a film producer now. He said that she might know one of his filmmakers. He told her about Johnny. She was upset at the idea of his name being said. She said he was the one who broke her daughter’s heart.  TR was surprised she had a daughter. She said her daughter had nothing to do with him. She told him that she had Chanel years after they broke up. Paulina lied and said she was her only child. He knew what he did to her was unforgivable, but he said he wasn’t that man anymore. She said he would never change. He wanted to take her out to dinner, but she didn’t want to go anywhere with him. Lani arrived and wanted to make sure everything was okay. Chloe overheard Craig call someone sweetheart on the phone. She waited for him to get off the phone so she could confront him. She accused him of cheating on Nancy. Craig admitted that he did cheat on her. He told her that he was cheating on her with a man. Chloe was confused and asked him if he was gay. He said he loved Nancy, but he was attracted to men. He said if that made him gay, then he was gay. He talked to her about the man he met and how they had great chemistry together. He never meant to hurt Nancy. Chloe told him that he had to end the relationship. He said he couldn’t because he’s in love.

Marlena apologized to Paulina for ruining her wedding. Paulina said it was her own fault that it happened. She said the devil did her wrong, but she was the reason why she lost Abe. Chanel ran into Abe. She apologized to him for ruining the wedding. A man name T.R. went to see Johnny. He wanted to make sure Johnny kept his word. He said he wanted to know about what was going on with the Marlena Evans’ Story. T.R. told Johnny that he wanted his movie. Johnny said he promised his grandmother he wouldn’t tell the story. Marlena asked Paulina if she thought she and Abe would get back together. Paulina said she opened up to her before and now she was single. Marlena apologized for betraying her confidence. Paulina said it wasn’t her. She said she knew Abe still loved her. She said he would never trust her again. Abe told Chanel what happened with him and Paulina wasn’t her fault. He said Paulina should have told him a long time ago. Chanel said it was her truth to tell. She said she saw how happy they were then and unhappy now. She thought the bad karma came back around and bit her. She said her husband dumped her out of the blue.

Nancy apologized to Craig for doubting him. He told her she didn’t have to apologize. She said she should have trusted him. She said she should have trusted them. He told her there was no reason for her to feel insecure. He said she was a wonderful person with a kind heart and a wicked sense of humor. He said that was one of the reasons why he loved her. She said she loved hearing that, but there was a part of her that still needed to know that he was attracted to her. He said that was his part. He said he loved her and was truly sorry. She said she was happy they could talk openly about it. She said she felt guilty. He told her not to feel guilty. When she walked out of the room, he looked nervous. Chanel told Abe that her relationship with Johnny wasn’t a fling. She said he humiliated her as if everything they felt was a lie. Abe said he couldn’t imagine how that felt. She said it was bad. She said that was why her mother thought they should take Johnny’s money. He asked if she wanted that. Marlena asked Paulina if she thought Abe would want to make amends. Marlena said she knew how happy she made Abe. Paulina asked if he told her that. Marlena said she hasn’t spoken to Abe after what happened. She said that was why she didn’t go to Johnny and Chanel’s party. Paulina said she knew she heard about the party. Marlena said she didn’t. Paulina said Johnny broke her daughter’s heart. T.R. was upset that Johnny didn’t want to write the movie. Johnny said his grandmother ended up possessed. T.R. said that was a good thing. He said they could have done sequels. Johnny said he had ideas. T.R. said it took more than ideas. Johnny picked up a weapon. T.R. said it was going to take a lot to make it in Hollywood. Abe comforted Chanel. He said he was glad that she had a friend to help her. He said he and Lani were closer. He said he hoped they would be closer too. Chanel said she wanted that too. Marlena told Paulina he didn’t understand why Johnny hurt Chanel. She said Johnny said he loved Chanel and wanted to be with her. Paulina said she was going to make Johnny pay for what he did to her daughter. T.R. asked if Johnny was willing to work to get what he wanted or was he going to rely on his father’s money. Johnny said he was right. He wanted to know what to tell his grandmother. T.R. said he would be the bad guy if it made him feel better.

Ned wanted Xander to give him money for Sarah’s flight information. Xander said that he found her. He said the deal was off. Ned said he bought an expensive watch. He couldn’t return it because he loved it. Xander said that we lose things we love. Chad called Abby to find out where she was. Belle arrived at the DiMera mansion to get some things for EJ. Chad refused to do anything to help EJ after he forced himself on Abby. Belle didn’t think EJ would do that. Later on, Chad went to see Xander to look for Abby. He told Chad that Abby was working on a theory about Sarah. She said that she didn’t think she was the real Sarah. Xander thought the mask thing sounded crazy. He really thought that when Chad told him that Abby saw Gwen and Sarah at the same time. Abby was in for a shock when she took off the mask and saw Ava underneath it. Abby wanted to know why she was dressed up as Sarah. Ava said she was just having fun. Abby didn’t buy it and got her phone out to call Rafe. Ava hit her in the head with a rock. Gwen wanted to know what they were going to do now. Ava wanted to kill Abby. Gwen refused to kill her.

Ned walked by Ava and Gwen and offered to take Abby away if they paid the right price. Shawn brought EJ to the station to meet with Belle. Trask was happy to finally get a DiMera in jail. Shawn took EJ to the interrogation room when Belle showed up. Trask made fun of Belle for making the mistake of putting EJ on the stand. Shawn joined them. Shawn and Belle banded together to stand up to Trask. Later, Shawn debated with Trask about Rafe being a dirty cop. Shawn defended Rafe to Trask. She said crime went up since Rafe was in charge. She thought he made a lot of the arrests to take the heat off of him. Shawn told her that Rafe is a good cop. Trask wanted Shawn to look through Rafe’s files to look for a pattern. She wanted him to investigate the arrest Rafe made that night. Belle talked to EJ about what he did to Abby. He said he never left the courtroom. He told her that he was signing the papers giving his shares to Johnny. He told her that she could ask Johnny if she didn’t believe him. EJ insisted that Chad was setting him up. Belle thought it was crazy, but EJ said he didn’t touch Abby. Shawn went to Rafe’s place while he was with Nicole. He interrupted their time together. He told Rafe that his latest arrest proved that he planted evidence in the case. Shawn put the cuffs on Rafe.

Abby tried to take the mask off of Gwen. “Gwen” showed up and asked Abby what she was doing. Abby was shocked that Gwen was behind her. “Gwen” told Abby that she was used to her attacking her, but a stranger. She realized the person wasn’t a stranger. “Sarah” said she came back to town so she could let her family know she was okay. “Sarah” told “Gwen” that she could have Xander because she was through with him. Nicole went to Rafe’s house. Nicole asked Rafe if he thought Ava set him up. “Sarah” asked Abby if she still thought she was Gwen. Abby said she didn’t. When Abby left, Gwen told Ava that she was glad she pulled it off. Chanel told Allie that her mother saw them together the night they slept together. Allie was horrified that Paulina knows about them. Allie was afraid Paulina was going o ell people. Johnny told Gabi that he wanted to be alone with her. He said he had stock in DiMera which he knew she was interested in. Abby went home and told Chad that she found Sarah. She said she didn’t think it was Sarah. Ava and Gwen talked about Ava wearing the Gwen mask. Allie told Chanel that she talked to Johnny. Allie said she walked in on Johnny kissing another woman. Jake showed up while Gabi and Johnny were talking. Johnny said they were talking about joining together.

Chanel said Johnny didn’t waste any time. Allie said he didn’t. Chanel wanted to know who it was. Allie said it was Gabi. Chanel said he was making out with his uncle’s girlfriend. Allie told her to let him go because he was bad news. Chanel said it hurt. When Jake walked away to get drinks, Johnny told Gabi that he wanted her to kiss him again. Abby told Chad that it felt like Sarah was wearing a mask. Ava told Gwen that her wearing the mask turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Gwen told Ava that she owed her. Ava said she did. Ava said she had to leave. She said Sarah had to go to the airport. Gwen asked her to do it. Ava said she couldn’t because she had plans with Rafe and Nicole. Gwen said she thought she hated them. Ava said she did. Nicole was upset that Ava wasn’t at the dinner. She reminded him that he thought Ava was the one who set him up. He said he did. She thought Ava wanting to work on their relationship was true. Gabi told Johnny that she didn’t tell Jake he kissed her because he would beat the crap out of him. Johnny said that didn’t prove trust. Jake came back and wanted to get back to business. Chad asked Abby if she wanted it to be true. Abby said she wanted Sarah to be safe and making her own decision. She asked if it was Kate who was in the same situation as Sarah. She thought Sarah was still in danger. Gwen asked Ava why she was having dinner with Rafe and Nicole if she hated them. Ava said she couldn’t let on that she knew about them. Gwen told Ava that she was good at it. She said she couldn’t pull it off. Chad asked Abby if Maggie and Xander thought the same thing. He said Xander has been working with her and thought Sarah was herself.

Abby confronted Sarah about not being who she said she was. She thought she was really Kristen. She denied it and tried to walk away, but Abby stopped her. She told her that Kristen kidnapped Sarah. “Sarah” mocked her while Kristen called her. Abby wanted to know who it was. Kristen said it was really her. She told her that she didn’t have anything to do with Philip’s disappearance. She said she was innocent and she wanted her to print that. She hung up the phone. “Sarah” tried to leave again, but Abby wouldn’t let her go. She said a voice on the phone wasn’t going to be enough to convince her that she wasn’t Kristen. She refused to admit anything. Abby thought back to a previous conversation and realized who she was. Abby realized Gwen was wearing the mask. She tried to walk away, but Abby wanted to take off her mask. Kayla was looking through the Reverend Mother’s desk when Kristen walked in with a gun. She started mocking Kayla so she didn’t want to hear what Kristen had to say. Kristen told her that Steve was dead. Kayla didn’t believe it was true. She thought Kristen was trying to throw her off balance. Kristen danced around it until Kayla believed her. She told Kristen that she killed Steve.

Gabi talked to Johnny about a partnership when he grabbed her and kissed her. She pushed him away and slapped him. Johnny seemed to like the idea that she drew blood. He said that he was reading the signals he was getting from her. She said that he ruined his marriage but she was in a committed relationship with Jake. He rolled his eyes and insulted him. He told her that she could have some fun on the side. She admitted that she was attracted to him, but she’s with Johnny. She said she wasn’t interested in an open relationship. He kissed her again just as Allie walked in the room. Gabi asked Allie not to say anything to Jake. She said she was at the bottom of her list of worries. Gabi walked out of the room. Allie yelled at Johnny for kissing Gabi. He thought she was jealous because he was flirting with Gabi. He said that Chanel loved her and not him. He teased her about them being together. He implied that they slept together. She was about to cry and told him that she hated him. She told him that she was done with him. She told him to be a good DiMera and realize that he lost his twin sister. He didn’t care that he lost her. Paulina talked to Chanel about taking Johnny to the cleaners. She said she was talking to attorneys about her situation. Chanel didn’t want to go after his money because she was a strong independent woman like her. Paulina still thought she deserved to get something after what he did to her. They talked about Allie. Paulina admitted that she saw Chanel with Allie. She tried to deny it, but she admitted they were together. She said she wasn’t ashamed that it happened. Paulina was fine with it, but she reminded her that she slept with her husband’s sister. She said that she slept with twins and that it was a sticky situation. She advised her to think about how she felt about both of them. Chanel admitted that she was attracted to Allie, but she was in love with Johnny.

Xander saw “Sarah” and hugged her. He was so glad she was okay. She told him to get off of her. She told him that she didn’t want anything to do with him. Xander asked Maggie for a minute alone with “Sarah.” Maggie took Xander into the hall. Gwen was afraid she wouldn’t be able to pull off being Sarah. Xander and Maggie came back and “Sarah” told them she was leaving in the morning. Maggie ended up crying. Maggie wanted her to call regularly. She hugged her. Maggie left the room so Xander wondered why “Sarah” didn’t sound like herself. He told her about her behavior with him, Rex and Maggie. She blamed him for the baby switch. She told him that she couldn’t forgive him for that. She wanted to check out of her room at the Salem Inn. He couldn’t believe what she was willing to do to her mother. He told her to do better. She told him to be with Gwen. He wanted to know how she knew about Gwen. He wanted to know how she knew about that. She said Maggie told her about it. She asked if it was true that he loved her? He told her that he didn’t think he could fall in love again, but he did. She told him to be with Gwen and leave her alone. She stormed out of the room. Abby saw Kate looking down. Abby asked her what happened and she told her that she saw Jake and Gabi. Abby said it ended well because she was with Roman. She said Jake was fired from DiMera. Kate wondered why she was there. She said she was covering a story about Sarah. She said she worked with Xander to find her. Abby told her about what happened.  Kate remembered when Kristen pretended to be her and shoved her in a suitcase to ship her out of town. That sparked an idea inside of Abby.

Maggie joined Kate and Abby at their table. She told them that Xander was with Sarah. Maggie was emotional as she talked about “Sarah’s” odd behavior. She said she wasn’t herself. Maggie left the table. Kate left the table to get a drink. Abby remembered what Kate said about Kristen’s mask and Sarah acting different. Abby reacted and walked out of the room. Xander looked at a picture of Sarah. He remembered proposing to her. Maggie returned and noticed Xander looked confused. He thought there would be more to the story. Abby found “Sarah” and told her that she wasn’t her cousin. Trask entered Sami’s deposition into evidence and was ready to rest her case. Belle wanted the case dismissed for lack of evidence. EJ was ready to testify. Belle didn’t think it was a good idea, but she called him to the stand. He said he didn’t do anything to keep Sami from her kids. Trask reminded him that he did it before. EJ said he chloroformed Sami after she shot him in his head. He said she left him to die. He wanted to protect his children. Trask questioned him about using chloroform on Sami when he wanted to get stem cells from her unborn baby. EJ pleaded the fifth. EJ felt defeated and left the stand. The judge was ready to hear closing arguments. Chad saw Johnny in the living room. They argued about EJ. Johnny goaded him about EJ and Abby having an affair before. He said EJ lied about Chad framing him for Sami’s kidnapping. Chad looked guilty as he said he had to rethink his relationship with his father. He thought he should be working with Chad. Chad didn’t trust him and didn’t want to get burned again. Johnny promised to prove himself to him. Belle told EJ that she did her best in her closing arguments. Chad showed up just as the judge was about to render a verdict. The judge found EJ guilty. He was immediately remanded to holding and would be transferred to Statesville.

“EJ” told Abby that he wanted to ravage her. He said he has been waiting a long time to do it. Belle told EJ that Chad was going to help him. EJ wasn’t sure. “EJ” kissed Abby. Chad asked what he was doing. Chad hit EJ. Trask showed up while Kate and Lucas were talking. Trask said she wanted to make sure EJ paid for what he did. She said she wished Sami was there to testify. Chad asked “EJ” what he was doing kissing his wife against her will. “EJ” asked how he knew it was against her will. She said it was an attack. He said he wanted to kiss her one last time before he went to jail. The devil thought his plan to get EJ to kiss Abby would get Chad to send EJ to jail for a long time. Kate and Lucas continued to talk about what he did to Lucas. Nancy told Chloe and Brady that Craig was cheating on her. Nancy told them what she found that proved Craig was cheating. Nancy asked if Chloe noticed Craig was acting different. Chloe said she hadn’t talked to him in weeks. Nancy thought it was strange when she was going through her issues with Philip. Abby tried to calm Chad down about EJ. She said she didn’t know why EJ would kiss her when Chad was about to testify against him. Gabi and Jake talked about Johnny being able to vote with EJ’s shares. Jake thought Johnny and EJ’s shares could do a lot of damage. Gabi thought Johnny could stop their plan too. Jake thought Johnny could be an ally for their cause.

Chad showed up in the court. He told the judge he was ready to testify. He testified that EJ should have the book thrown at him. Belle told Chad that she talked to her. Trask asked if Belle had a private conversation with Chad. Belle said she didn’t. The judge asked if Trask wanted to redirect. She said she didn’t. The judge said they would be back with the next witness. The devil called Chad a traitor for what he did to his father. Chad told him to ask EJ about it. EJ asked what he was talking about. Brady told Nancy that Philip accused them of having an affair when they didn’t. Chloe told Nancy to talk to Craig. Nancy said she was still there for her no matter what. Chad told the devil that he was glad that EJ would be going away for 10 years. When he and Abby left, the devil told Johnny that he was glad that he got EJ’s shares. Lucas told Kate that Chad wasn’t helping EJ. He wanted her to leave so he could testify. Nancy asked if there was something going on between Chloe and Brady. They said there was nothing going on between them. Nancy said she needed a place to stay if she left Craig. Lucas testified that Jason on was the one who held Sami captive. She said he was the same one taking money from the DiMeras. Belle questioned Lucas about having direct knowledge that EJ kidnapped Sami. She asked how they knew he didn’t kidnap Sami. When Abby and Chad got home, she questioned why EJ would make a pass at her. Chad said no one knew what EJ would do. She wanted to know what he was going to say at the trial. She asked if EJ was innocent. Jake and Gabi schemed to get Johnny to join them. The devil showed up while they were talking. The devil told Jake and Gabi that they should be introduced if they were going to be talking about him. Johnny introduced himself to Jake. Johnny wanted to know why they were talking about DiMera when Jake didn’t work there. Gabi said he still had shares in DiMera. Jake and Gabi said they wanted him to help them get what they wanted. Lucas told Belle that he had nothing to do with Sami’s kidnapping. He said EJ was jealous that he and Sami were together. Belle asked if he had an alibi for Sami’s kidnapping. Trask objected to her question. Lucas said he was with his brother Philip when Sami was kidnapped. He said Philip is missing. Belle said he couldn’t prove he had an ally. While Lucas was testifying, EJ had an outburst. He threatened to kill Lucas.

Trask asked Chad questions about the evidence he found. Chad didn’t want to answer the questions. Trask demanded that he answer the question. The judge told him to answer or he would hold him in contempt. Kate talked to Lucas about framing EJ. Lucas denied framing EJ. She said Lucas used her password on her computer to do it. He said he didn’t know her password. She said Chad told her. He said he knew Chad was going to say something. Lucas said he loved Sami and would do anything for her. He said he did everything he did because he loved her. While he was talking to Kate, Johnny was listening. Kate told Lucas that Chad was going to tell the truth during the trial. Lucas said Chad was okay with EJ getting in trouble. She said he would have been okay with EJ losing his job, he didn’t want him to go to prison. She said he didn’t want his family to be hurt. Chad told the judge he couldn’t answer her questions. Trask didn’t have anymore questions for him. Belle asked him questions. When Belle asked him about the papers, Johnny made sure Chad couldn’t talk. Lucas said he was going to do something. Kate said Chad wasn’t going to implicate him for what happened. Brady and Chloe showed up and wanted to know what Kate was talking about. Jake and Gabi went to see Victor. Maggie let them know she knew why they wanted to see Victor. They thought she was going to make they didn’t get what they wanted. She told them she wanted to make sure they made good on their promise.

Lucas told Brady and Chloe that they were talking about him finding her sooner. Chloe said Sami was safe. Brady thought he was back in town to testify against EJ. Brady said he was going to give that s.o.b. a taste of his own money. Brady wanted to talk to Kate. Chloe asked if Lucas was okay. She said he acted as if something was wrong with him. Abby wanted to make sure Chad was okay. She asked what happened to him in the courtroom. She said she could tell he wanted to say something, but Trask wasn’t letting him. Maggie told Jake and Gabi that their plan was a fine idea. They said they were surprised. Maggie said she cared about Titan and its future. Jake asked if she thought they were good for Titan. Maggie said Victor always wanted family to run the company, but he changed his mind. Jake said no one else could run the company. Maggie said Victor wanted a win. Jake said he wanted nothing more than to see his brothers go down. She said Victor wanted to make sure she was willing to team up with them. Gabi asked if she was willing. Johnny showed up in the court. He told EJ and Belle that Chad was a backstabber. He said Chad was going to turn against the family. Belle said she didn’t think Chad was going to turn against him. She said Chad was about to say something, but Trask wouldn’t let him. She said she was going to ask him about it as soon as court reconvened. Johnny brought up EJ signing his rights over to him. Belle asked EJ if he was sure about doing that. Abby wanted to know what Chad was going to say. He didn’t want to say anything because he didn’t want her to be complicit. She said he was scaring her. He asked her to trust him. She said she did, but she was scared. They said they loved each other. Brady told Kate he was determined to find Philip in order to clear his name. She said she wanted him to call off the search. Lucas told Chloe that he wanted Sami to stay away from the case. Chloe asked if he would have been able to stop her. He said he did. Belle told Johnny and EJ that the stock transfer might be unnecessary if he is found not guilty. Johnny said it was necessary in case he was found guilty. He said the board was trying to get rid of EJ so he would be able to stop them from voting against him. EJ said it was only temporary. She wanted to look over the contract thoroughly first. Johnny told her he was his father. She went to find out when the case was going to convene. Johnny convinced EJ to sign the contract. Maggie said she was on board with Jake and Gabi if they could guarantee Victor a spot on the DiMera board. They said they thought they could get him a seat. Maggie said she would only go along with them if they could guarantee him a seat on the board. Brady asked Kate why she didn’t want to search for Philip. She said this would make her think Philip was dead. She said people were already looking for him. Brady said it would be better if more people were looking for him. He said he wasn’t going to give up searching for Philip because Chloe wanted him to be found. Belle talked to Chad about his testimony.

EJ accepted Belle as his lawyer. He wanted to know why she changed her mind about representing him. She said Nicole changed her mind. She was able to handle backlash from the board and from Sami. EJ waived his right to a jury trial. Belle asked the judge for a moment with her client. She wanted to know what he was thinking making a decision like that. He trusted the system. Belle thought he got to the judge. He said he didn’t do anything. She wanted things done her way or she was walking off. EJ backed down. Xander met with Abby to talk about Sarah. She told him one of the DiMera jets were used when Sarah disappeared but the pilot quit since that happened. They thought it was suspicious. She asked the travel department to send her the information about it. He thanked her and left. Gwen ran into Ava at the town square. Gwen was worried about Xander working with Abby. Gwen thought Abby was enjoying the payback. Ava told her about the guys accusing Rafe of planting evidence against them. Gwen wondered why she wanted to send the man she loved to prison. Ava told her to keep quiet about it. Xander walked up to them so they pretended to talk about a party.

Rafe told Shawn about the charges that were brought against him. Shawn wondered if someone put them up to saying he planted evidence. Rafe told him about what happened to Nicole’s bear. Ava arrived at the station while they were talking about it. Ava left him some food, but he was in the middle of something. Shawn noticed the tension between them. Rafe wondered if Ava could be involved in his mess. Steve and Kayla went to see Mother Superior. They were dressed in disguise. They lied about Kayla needing a place to stay. The nun was willing to help but she had to confirm it with someone else. Steve gave her the number to reach him. They left just as Kristen arrived wearing a nun’s habit. She asked Mother Superior about the visitors so she told her how one needed a place to stay. Kristen was grateful that she took her in when she needed help. Kristen called Ava and she ranted about Rafe. Kristen wanted to know if she sent Steve to look for her. She told her she didn’t do it. She did tell her how Xander wanted Steve to find Sarah. She wondered if Steve took the case. She said that was the last thing she needed now. Ava told her that Gwen was desperate to keep Xander from finding Sarah. Kristen had and idea on how to help Gwen, but she needed help escaping.
