Lucas and Philip talked about Chloe and Brady. Lucas wanted to know what was going on with them. Kate showed up and wondered the same thing. Lucas said he and Philip saw Brady and Chlie going in the Salem Inn together. Kate said it was predictable. She asked what happened when Philip confronted her. Philip said he didn’t. He said he was giving up on his jealousy and paranoia. He said nothing happened between Brady and Chloe. After they talked, Philip walked away. Lucas defended Chloe to Kate. Kate said he had reason not to trust Chloe too. They continued to argue about her. Lucas said if Chloe cheated, Philip was going to be furious. Brady told Chloe that he was picturing himself having sex with her on the conference table. He told her Marlena suggested that they have sex on the table. He apologized for telling her. She said the table has seen a lot of action. He wanted to know what she meant by that. She said one of their employees had sex on the table. He thought it was Nicole. He thought she slept with EJ. Chloe said it wasn’t EJ. They talked about Philip. Brady was shocked when she told him Philip didn’t tell her about seeing them go in the Salem Inn. She hoped that meant Philip trusted her and believed they were just friends. Philip showed up and heard Chloe tell Brady not to tell anyone about the sex on the conference table.

Ben told Marlena that Susan said his baby was in danger. Marlena didn’t believe it. He defended Susan. He said if it weren’t for Susan, he wouldn’t have found Ciara. He said he would always be open to what Susan says. Marlena said she understood, but she told him not to put his faith in Susan. He said he was worried that he was passing his evil genes to his baby. He said that was why he was there. Marlena said she would take care of Susan. She told Ciara that evil was coming from the baby. She couldn’t tell where it was coming from. She told Ciara she couldn’t force her visions. Susan tried to relax and fight through the darkness. Susan suddenly saw someone who enjoyed pain and suffering to anyone close to him. Ciara said she knew who it was. Ciara showed Susan a picture of Clyde. Susan got bad vibes from him, but it wasn’t him. Susan touched Ciara’s stomach again. She said she felt evil. Marlena walked in with Ben. She told Susan to get her hands off of Ciara. Susan was happy to see Marlena. She thought Marlena could help them. Marlena said she had to stop her. Susan was scared when Marlena stared at her and said she had to stop her. She told Susan to leave with her. Marlena brought Susan back to the penthouse. Marlena told Susan to stay away from Ben and Ciara. Susan said she wouldn’t. She said she felt evil and had to say something. She didn’t care if Marlena didn’t like it. Marlena grabbed her hand to stop her from leaving. Susan realized she was the evil one. Rafe told Nicole that Ava and Tripp saw Charlie. Nicole wondered how he was going to verify their stories. He said he sent units to check the graves. Nicole said if Ava was telling the truth about Charlie, they made a terrible mistake. He said he didn’t sleep with her in reaction to Ava. He said he wanted it to happen. She told him what they did mattered. She said it changed everything.  He said she needed him too. She asked if he told Ava what happened. He said he hadn’t told her yet. He said he was going to tell her. She told him she couldn’t say anything. She said she already betrayed her husband. She didn’t want to hurt her best friend. She said they had to forget what they did. He said he wasn’t going to let it end like that. Nicole didn’t give him a choice and left.

Ava was glad to see Rafe when he came in the interrogation room. He asked her about the dead body in the kitchen. She told him Charlie killed him. She asked why he was being so cold to her. He said her fingerprints were the only ones on the knife. He asked about her meeting with Philip. She wanted to know why he didn’t show up when Shawn called him. He flashed back to having sex with Nicole. He wanted to tell her something. Tripp showed up at the police station to be there for Ava. Tripp told Rafe he saw Charlie last night. After Tripp told Rafe he saw Charlie, Rafe thought about Nicole telling him that she saw Deimos. Rafe left to check on Charlie’s grave. Mardevil was proud of the trouble she caused on Halloween. She brought up John and debated on finishing him off for good. Brady came in the room. He wanted her advice on what to do about Rachel. He said she was asking about Kristen. Marlena told him to tell Rachel the truth. He was confused by what Marlena told him. She called him out for having impure thoughts about Chloe. He said he was trying to respect her relationship with Philip. He said he had to accept the fact that he blew his chance with Chloe. Marlena told him to lay Chloe down on a conference table and show her how he felt. He was shocked. He said he wasn’t doing that.

Marlena told Brady to be honest about the woman he loved. She said her idea was the best option. She said it was bold and romantic. He said he was Chloe’s boss. Marlena said the conference table worked out for her and John. She said to tell Chloe how he felt about her. He agreed to do it. Nicole told Chloe that she had sex with Rafe. Chloe wanted the details. Nicole told her Deimos came back. She said she killed him. She said Rafe showed up and comforted her which led to them having sex. Chloe asked if it was only one time or was it the start of something. Nicole said she didn’t know. Susan went into Ben and Ciara’s apartment to tell them about their baby being in danger. Ciara didn’t believe her. Ben backed up Susan’s vision because her visions helped save Ciara. Ben wanted to hear her out. Ciara agreed to listen to her. Susan wanted to focus on her vision. She wanted to hold something. Ben suggested she hold Ciara’s belly. Susan put her hands on Ciara’s belly. Susan said she sensed evil. Susan said she didn’t mean to hurt her. She said she would leave. Ciara stopped her. She wanted to know if her baby was in danger. Susan put her hands on her belly. She said the evil was strong. She said the evil was coming from someone else.

Kayla told Steve about Abby’s suspicions about Gwen. She also told him about Abby searching Snyder’s office. Steve said he had to clear Gwen’s name because she’s his niece too. He said he was sorry that Gwen was still keeping secrets since Jack thought she changed. Melinda told Xander he could leave the police station with the money, but if he did, she would tell Jack about Gwen’s secret. Xander acted as if he didn’t know what she was talking about. She said she overheard his and Gwen’s conversation. She said she found out how and when Gwen lost her baby. Melinda said she was going to take the money and start a legal defense fund which would help undocumented immigrants in honor of her daughter. She said she couldn’t help her daughter, but she could help someone else. He said it was a good cause, but why did she have to do it with his money. She said it was payback for how much his lies and actions cost people money. She said he wasted her time with his criminal acts. He gave her the money. Abby and Chad confronted Gwen about her lies. Gwen said she didn’t know what she was talking about. Gwen said she didn’t understand why Abby was being so awful to her about that horrible night. Gwen said she fell down the stairs and lost her baby. Abby said both statements were true, but not in that order. Jack was confused about what was going on. He said everybody knew that Snyder was blackmailing Gwen because she was a prostitute. Abby wanted Gwen to tell him the truth. Abby wanted her to tell him that secret was one of her many lies. He asked why Gwen would lie. Chad said the truth was worse.

Abby asked why would Gwen being a hooker be so shocking given all the terrible things she did to their family? She said Snyder was using something bigger to blackmail Gwen. She said when they argued, Gwen wasn’t pregnant anymore. Jack asked Gwen if it was true. Gwen said Abby was off her medication. She said Abby lied. Gwen asked if she had proof. Abby pulled out the medical report proving her case. Gwen said she could have Abby arrested for stealing her file. Jack read the medical report and realized Abby was telling the truth. Chad asked Gwen how she could do something so terrible. He said Abby had nothing to do with what happened to the baby, but she made her think she did. He said Abby felt so guilty that she left him and their children. Gwen tried to defend herself, but it didn’t work. Abby said Gwen wasn’t raised by loving parents so she didn’t know how to love. Abby said she was a toxic person. She didn’t want Gwen in her life. Jack couldn’t believe he didn’t see it coming. He asked how he could be so blind. He asked Gwen how she could do this. Gwen said Abby was wrong when she said she didn’t know how to love. Jack said she didn’t know how to treat people. Gwen said she cared about him. She said he made her feel grateful and safe for the first time in her life. She said she lied to him because she was afraid of losing him. Gwen told Jack that she thought any love he had for her would have been gone when he found out the truth. She said she was right. She called him her father. He told her she didn’t have the right to call him that anymore. She ran out the room.

Victor told Maggie that Ava was arrested for suspicion of killing Carmine. Victor was happy that she was behind bars. Justin came in and said the prison had some vacancy thanks to Victor and Steve. Justin said he wouldn’t be disbarred since Melinda dropped the charges against him. Maggie was glad and wanted to know what Melinda got out of it. Victor said he hired Steve to find Kristen to Melinda. Justin thanked him for what he did for him and Bonnie. Victor was shocked to see Bonnie out of prison. Victor said he only arranged for Justin and Xander to be released. Bonnie said Steve made arrangements so the deal would include her and Gwen. Justin told Victor that he thought he did something nice for a change. Victor said he did something nice. He said he didn’t do it for Bonnie. Maggie told Victor to let it go. She said Justin and Bonnie wanted to put the mess behind them. Justin wanted to get married. Bonnie was excited. Justin said he needed to call the justice of the peace. He said he had to call Steve and Kayla. When Justin and Bonnie left to change, Victor said he was going to kill Steve. Jack thanked Steve for coming through for him and getting Gwen out of prison. Steve said he owed Gwen a second chance wince he was given many changes. Jack said he has been given chances too. He said Gwen has changed. He said she was done lying and scheming. Gwen and Xander were released. Melinda told Gwen that she was out because of Steve and Victor. Melinda said she got the woman who murdered her daughter. When Melinda was about to leave, Xander told her about giving him his money back. She told him to come back in an hour.

Chad went to see Kristen. She asked where EJ was. Chad said he wasn’t coming. He gave her a letter from EJ. She read that EJ couldn’t take her case because it would look bad for business. He said he would help her behind the scenes. Kristen told Chad she was going to be in prison for the rest of her life without EJ’s help. Chad said he hired a good lawyer. She said EJ was a coward for not telling her to her face. She thanked Chad for coming to support her. She said she was in this mess because of Victor. She said she should stab him in the heart. Melinda went to the interrogation room. She rubbed it in that Kristen was going away for a long time. She said she was going to make sure of it. Kristen apologized for killing Hailey. She said it was an accident. Melinda told her to shut excuses. She said she lost her daughter because of her so she was returning the favor by taking Kristen away from Rachel. Abby wanted Kayla’s help to prove that Gwen was lying ti her father. Abby told her about Snyder blackmailing her for trafficking drugs to keep her father from finding out she was a prostitute. Abby said that was probably a lie. Abby said Gwen was hiding so something. She asked if she could look around Snyder’s office. Kayla let Abby in Snyder’s office. There was only his possesseions left. When Kayla left, Chad showed up. He helped her look around the office. He found a medical record in a book. Abby looked at it. She said it was Gwen’s miscarriage. Abby said the report of the on the exam and finding out about the miscarriage happened before their argument. They went to confront Gwen about it.

Allie was shocked when she saw Charlie. She didn’t believe he was real. She thought it was a trick. He told her to take off his mask. He said it didn’t come off. He said he wasn’t after her. He wanted his son. He said she did whatever she had to do to keep his son away from him, but now he was going to take Henry from her. She cried out for help. He told her that he wanted to know where his son was. She told him Ava loved Tripp better than him. When she refused to tell him where Henry was, he threatened to kill her. Nicole was shocked when Deimos was at Basic Black. He said they had unfinished business. She thought Rolf was behind this. Deimos said it was someone more evil. He said he still held a grudge against her for killing him. They got into an argument. She stabbed him.with scissors. He fell to the floor. When she didn’t find a pulse, she called Rafe. Nick scared Gabi. She told herself he wasn’t there. He said it wasn’t a dream. He reminded her of the times she tried to kill him. She said it was premeditated murder. She said she confessed to the murder. She told him that she paid her debt to society. He said he cared about the debt she owed him. Nick said he wasn’t going to kill Gabi. He said killing her would be too easy. He said he would kill Jake instead so she could live with his blood on her hands. She asked him not to kill Jake, but he said it was too late. He said he had an empty grave and was going to put it to good use.

Tripp ran into Ava. She told him she saw his brother and he killed someone. He said it didn’t make sense. She said Charlie was going to kill her, but she got away. Tripp said it was like what happened when Charlie drugged her. She said it wasn’t. She said it was real. She wanted to warn Allie. He said Henry was safe. He said she was imagining things. Rafe called Eli and told him there was a body in his kitchen. Eli came over with the police. Rafe said the body was Carmine. Rafe thought Ava was responsible for what happened. He said Carmine worked for her when she was running the mob. Rafe wasn’t sure what to believe. He got a call saying Jake escaped from lockup. Rafe and Eli wondered if Gabi was behind it. Rafe left the house. Ava and Tripp showed up and saw Carmine getting taken out of the house. Eli told Ava that he had to take her down to the station. She said Charlie did it. She wanted to talk to Rafe. She told Tripp to check on Allie. When Tripp went to Allie’s place, he saw Charlie holding her. When Rafe went to the police station, he got information on how Jake escaped. Nicole called Rafe and told him she had an emergency at her office. Eli asked Ava some questions in the interrogation room. She told him Charlie came back from the dead. Eli thought she needed to see a doctor. Rafe went to Nicole’s office. She told him she stabbed Deimos with a pair of scissors. When she showed Rafe the body, the body was gone.

Gabi told Jake about Philip’s blackmail. She asked him if he killed a man. Jake didn’t want to talk in public. He wanted to talk at home. She said Ava was there. He wondered if she was the one behind it. He asked where else Philip could have gotten the information. When Jake and Gabi went to their room, he told her Ava was trying to make peace earlier. Gabi asked him again if he killed somebody. He said he didn’t, but he wasn’t innocent. He said he made business owners pay the Vitalli’s for protection.Jake told Gabi that his partner Carmine went to scare a man named Jed who was late with his payment. Carmine beat him to death. Gabi said Carmine was Philip’s witness. He told her that he tried to stop Carmine. She believed him. He said it was the worst day of his life. She said she understood. She told him about Nick. Jake asked her what Philip wanted her to do. She said she had to choose between him and Gabi Chic. She said she wasn’t losing him. Gabi wanted to call Philip and tell him her decision. Jake stopped her from calling. He said he couldn’t let Philip take her company. He said they had to find another way to stop Philip.

Marlena read an article about Doug attacking Julie. The devil told her how easy it was to get rid of Doug. He said they could have fun, but she didn’t want to do it. John showed up. She told him the article about Doug made her upset. Ben called Marlena to make an appointment. She agreed to meet with him. John wanted to know what was going on with her. She said she had to meet with Ben. She said she couldn’t help Doug, but she could help Ben. Marlena pulled out her recorder for her session with Ben. The thought about the devil talking through her. Ben asked if she was okay. He told her he wanted to see her because he had concerns about having a baby. Ben told Marlena that he tried to make amends for what he did, but he didn’t know if he should risk having a child who could do the same thing. He said his guilt and shame would never leave him. He didn’t want to risk his child having the same issue. She apologized to him. He thanked her for seeing him. When he was about to leave, the devil talked to Marlena through the recorder. He told her to convince Ben to have the baby. Maggie went to see Julie. They talked about Summer and Doug. Ciara showed up. Julie told her Doug was in isolation until he was evaluated. Julie said she told Hope not to come home. Ciara couldn’t believe Doug would attack her. Julie said he didn’t. Julie said Doug didn’t hit her. She didn’t believe he had dementia, but he was losing touch with reality. Maggie told Julie he would never lose her. Julie wanted to hold on to that.

Jack went to see Gwen in jail. They talked about her being in jail. She asked him to give a message to Xander. Xander and Justin talked about what Victor could give Melinda in order for her to let them go. Xander was shocked that Victor wanted to help him since they weren’t getting along with each other. Justin let him know that he was family. A guard came into the cell to get Justin. Jack went to see Xander. Jack let him know that Gwen wanted to take the blame for everything that happened. Xander said she couldn’t do that. Xander told him that Victor was working on a deal to get him out of jail. Jack was curious as to what Victor could be working on with Trask to be able to make a deal like that. The guard brought Justin to the interrogation room. Bonnie was handcuffed to a chair. He told her that he was still her lawyer since he wasn’t disbarred yet. The guard told them they had five minutes to talk. She cried over what she has done to him. He told her to stop crying. He told her he loved her. She told him to look out for himself. She said he needed to do whatever he could to get out of there. He told her about the deal Victor made. He said there was hope for them. He said no matter what happened, he still wanted to marry her.  When Bonnie went back to her cell, she told Gwen about her visit with Justin. Justin and Jack ran into each other at the squad room. Justin thought about Xander telling him Gwen was keeping a secret from Jack. Justin told Jack that finding out the truth could end up making things worse. Abby showed Chad an article about Gwen being arrested. He thought Gwen offering herself to a judge was too much even for her. Abby said Gwen used to be a prostitute, but she didn’t believe Gwen did it. They talked about what Gwen could be covering up. Abby said it would be bad if Jack finds out what Gwen did. Chad didn’t want to think about Gwen. He wanted to focus on their family. She said she couldn’t do that. She said Snyder must have known about something Gwen did to Jack. She said she had to protect her father so they had to find out what Gwen did. She thought Kayla might have been able to find out something from Snyder’s office.

Kayla talked to Steve about Marlena. Kayla told him she was upset that Marlena was keeping Julie from Doug. Steve told her Victor wanted him to find Kristen in exchange for Justin and Xander’s freedom. They didn’t think it was fair for Justin and Xander to be free while Bonnie and Gwen stayed in jail. Steve said he had a plan. He said when he found Kristen, he would tell Melinda to let all four of them go. Kayla thought that plan was dangerous. She thought it was dangerous because of Victor and Kristen. Kayla said Kristen killed people. She wanted to know how he would track her down. EJ and Nicole showed up. Steve thought he had a way to track Kristen down. When EJ and Nicole got a table, Steve and Kayla wondered what EJ might know about Kristen. Kayla didn’t think EJ would sell out Kristen. Steve thought Nicole might do it. Kayla thought they should get Nicole alone. Nicole brought the kiss to EJ. He apologized if he overstepped by kissing her. She said it wasn’t a good idea. He said it could be fun to see what happened between them. Kayla went over to their table. She pretended to be drunk. She spilled a drink on EJ. He went to the bathroom to clean up. When EJ left, Steve and Kayla asked Nicole about Kristen. Nicole said she wished she could help, but she didn’t know anything. Steve said there could be answers in EJ’s phone. Nicole said he could look at the phone. When EJ came back, Steve and Kayla left the table. Steve told Kayla he could trace EJ’s phone and might be able to track down Kristen.

Chloe told Brady she had a fight with Philip and moved out. Brady was thrilled that she broke up with Philip. She said she didn’t break up with him. She said she planned on moving out once she recovered. She said she and Philip were taking things slow. She said there was a chance for them if Philip got his act together. She said she loved him in high school and wasn’t ready to give up on him. Brady told Chloe that she could move in with him. She said that would make Philip furious. Brady said she wouldn’t be living with him. He said she would be living with John and Marlena. Chloe didn’t want to take the risk so she decided to move in the Salem Inn. Kate ran into Philip. She noticed he was sad. She said he was always sad because of Chloe. He told her Chloe moved out. Kate asked if he was just saying that because she wanted to hear it. She told him to accept the break up with some dignity. He reminded her that she pretended to be blind and have amnesia to keep Jake. Kate said she felt bad for Philip, but she couldn’t stand seeing Chloe hurt him all of the time. He said it wasn’t her fault. He told her it was his jealousy over Brady. At the pub, Roman told Lucas that he wasn’t funding Johnny’s movie. Kate and Philip showed up. Lucas advised Philip to give Chloe some space and stay away from Brady. Kate told Philip to break up with Chloe.

Roman was uncomfortable with Kate. She wanted to know why. He said she made it clear she wasn’t interested in him the way he was in her. He said they could stay friends. She said they were friends. He said she didn’t treat him like a friend. Kate told Roman that she didn’t like how he was right about Jake. She said it would be embarrassing to hear him say he told her so. She said she stayed away so she wouldn’t have to hear him say he told her so. He said he was sorry that he was right. He said Jake was a moron for not seeing how great she was. Marlena thought about the things she did when she was possessed. The devil told her they were one. John knocked on the door. Marlena was reading the script. She was wearing sunglasses. He asked her why she was wearing sunglasses. She said she was getting the glare off the pages. He said the last time she was wearing sunglasses inside was when she was possessed. John told Marlena that she has been acting strange lately. He said it wasn’t just the sunglasses. He said she changed her mind about the movie. He said she went from having nightmares to letting Johnny do the movie. She said she did it so she could stop all the whispers. He wanted her to take off the sunglasses. She was insulted, but took off the glasses. Marlena asked John if he was satisfied when she took off the glasses. He said he was relieved. He said he was concerned. He said she hasn’t been herself lately. He said he wasn’t the only one who felt that way. He said Kayla came by to ask why she wouldn’t let Doug have any visitors. Marlena said Doug was dangerous. She said he hit Julie in the head. When John kept pressing her about Doug, she was getting upset. She said Kayla needed to come to her if she had any concerns. He apologized to her and left the room.

Belle went to Nicole’s office to give her divorce papers. They talked about Sami exposing Nicole’s affair. EJ came in the office. When Belle left, EJ told Nicole that he was grateful that she told him about Sami and Lucas. EJ said he felt liberated that the truth was out. Nicole said he was hiding how he really felt. He was upset. He said Sami was done making a fool of him. Nicole understood his anger but felt his pain. She said she could relate. She said he should face it head on or it would eat him alive. EJ told Nicole he was going to focus on DiMera and Johnny. EJ asked her to talk to him. She said EJ keeping Johnny from pursuing his dream would make him prove EJ wrong. EJ regretted asking Nicole for her help. EJ said he would change Johnny’s mind.

Claire saw Ciara when she went home. Ciara told her she was grateful to her. Ciara said she would have never remembered how much she loved Ben. Ciara apologized for the way she talked to her. Ciara said she wanted to be close again. Shawn came in while they were hugging. Shawn was happy that Ciara and Claire made up. When Ciara left, Belle came home. Claire told them she was leaving Salem. They didn’t like the idea of her going. Claire said it was a great opportunity. Belle asked if she was ready. Claire said she was ready. Allie and Johnny reunited. She introduced him to Henry. Johnny apologized for what Charlie did to her. He was proud of the mother she was and how she got over what happened. He told her about his movie and the way EJ acted about it. Allie and Johnny talked about Sami and her drama with their fathers. They talked about Sami leaving town to be alone. Allie asked him about his love life. He said he met someone.
