Brady and Chloe kissed until she pushed him away. She asked him what he was doing. He apologized to her. He said there was a pull between them. She said she was with Xander. He said he knew about Xander proposing to her. He said he wanted to talk her out of saying yes. She said she knew that Xander did bad things but they both did bad things. He asked her to give him another chance. She said she was committed to her relationship with Xander. She said she hasn’t decided to marry Xander. She told him she wanted to be friends with him. He said he would understand her relationship with Xander. They agreed to be friends. Shawn and Belle talked about Rafe and Jada’s reactions to him being commissioner. They also talked about Brady losing custody of Rachel to Kristen. At the Kiriakis mansion, Justin told everyone about Victor’s plane being missing. Maggie asked him if he thought the plane crashed. Justin said he didn’t know. He said Victor didn’t file a flight plan when he went to see Bo in case Megan was watching his travel trying to get to Bo. Belle told Shawn about Xander proposing to Chloe. Shawn was shocked that Chloe was considering it. Maggie tried to call Victor but couldn’t reach him. She called Shawn and asked him to call his mother to see if Victor was still with her and Bo. Hope told Shawn that Victor left three days ago. Shawn told Maggie what Hope said. The Kiriakis’ talked about what could have happened to Victor. Justin said he would call Shane to see if he could find out anything.

Shawn and Belle talked about his conversation with Hope and Victor. Maggie told everyone to go home. She said she would keep them updated. Xander asked her what she wanted to tell him earlier. She lied and said she didn’t remember. Shawn told Belle about the way he and Victor left things. He wondered what would happen if they never got a chance to fix things. She told him that wouldn’t happen. Shane called Justin and told him Victor’s plane was found. He said there was no word on any survivors. Gabi opened her wedding gifts and found bulletproof vests. She saw that they were from Julie and Doug. Li showed up with a gift for Gabi. She asked if it had a bomb in it. He said he wouldn’t hurt her. She accused him of being behind what happened with Harris. Li said he had nothing to do with it. Stefan went to see Melinda to find out the status of the investigation against Li. She said she couldn’t do anything without evidence. He said she didn’t want to prosecute him because she is dating him. Li told Gabi that he wanted to be friends. She said that wouldn’t happen. She said she wanted to see him in jail. He told her he wouldn’t be in jail. She asked if it was because he was screwing Melinda. He said he wasn’t sleeping with her. She asked if he was trying to romance her so he could get out of going to jail. He said that wasn’t a bad idea. He said he was trying to move on. She told him to stay out of her life.

Steve talks to Abe about him going back to work. Steve thought it was too soon for him to go back to work. He started to have doubts about it too. Paulina arrived so Steve told her that Abe was reconsidering going back to work. Abe told him that he was going back to work. Marlena and Kayla talked about how they felt about Abe going back to work. They didn’t think he was ready for it. Later, Abe was at the town square with Paulina while Rawlings was having a press conference. Abe told Rawlings that he planned on taking his office back. He demanded that Rawlings put his resignation on his desk, but he refused to do it. He questioned Abe’s ability to do the job. Rawlings convinced him to take questions from the audience. It didn’t go well for Abe. Kayla went home and Steve told her that he tried to talk Abe out of going back, but he wouldn’t listen to him. Marlena showed up and told Steve and Kayla that Abe’s press conference didn’t go well. Gwen and Dimitri were in Iceland. She made plans for her and Dimitri. She worried about not hearing from Leo. She went downstairs to check on their tickets when Leo showed up. Dimitri was happy to see Leo and kissed him. They heard Gwen come back so they stopped. Leo hid while Dimitri convinced Gwen that he wasn’t feeling well. He thought he should stay at the hotel, but he wanted her to go out. She was hesitant about it, but she decided to go. Dimitri and Leo make love. When they are finished Leo opened the door and Gwen was on the other side.

Chanel told Paulina that she had feelings for Talia. She thought about having a relationship with her. Paulina didn’t like it because she hurt her. She knew that Chanel could make up her own mind. Johnny ran into Talia and confronted her about Chanel. Talia told him that her feelings for her were sincere. They decided to call a truce. Later, Johnny met with Marlena to talk about his feelings for Chanel. She encouraged him to talk to Chanel about his feelings. Talia went to see Chanel. She is honest about her feelings for her. Chanel is hesitant to give her another chance, but she agrees to do it. She wanted Talia to be honest with her and she wanted to take things slow with her. Johnny showed up in time to hear them making plans to go out.

Xander found Brady sulking at the town square. He thought he was upset because he proposed to Chloe. Brady told him about losing custody of Rachel. Xander offered his condolences to him. Xander switched the subject back to Chloe. Brady realized that he proposed to Chloe because Sarah and Gwen moved on with their lives. Xander told him that he loved Chloe and thought they had a future together. Chloe heard Belle on the phone. She wondered what happened. Belle told her about Brady losing custody of Rachel. Chloe felt bad for him. Belle asked her to be there for Brady. She wasn’t sure about doing that because of his issues with Xander and the fact that they were in a relationship. Belle thought Brady’s issues were justified so Chloe defended her relationship with Xander. They ended up getting into an argument when Chloe reminded her about her involvement with EJ and how she stood by her through it. Later, Chloe was home and Brady showed up. She told him that she was sorry about what happened. She wanted to know if there was anything she could do to help. Brady kissed her.

Sarah told Rex about her visit with Maggie. She was afraid that Xander was going to find out that he’s the father of her baby. Rex had a solution to her problem. He thought they should get married. She wasn’t sure if that was a good idea, but he said he loved her. He said he would be a good father to her baby. He would protect her from Xander. He got on his knee and gave her a sincere proposal. Justin met with Alex and he talked to him about Victor. He wanted to throw a party for Victor when he comes home. Alex wondered if Maggie was okay with it. Justin told him that it was her idea. Alex talked to Justin about what happened with Chad and Stephanie. He wondered if Alex did it on purpose and he denied it. Maggie saw Bonnie when she came home. She told Bonnie that she knew that Sarah was pregnant with Xander’s baby. They agree that Xander has the right to know that he’s going to be a father, but they know that Sarah didn’t want him to find out. Brady called Maggie to let her know why he wasn’t going to the party. Xander arrived at the mansion and Maggie wanted to talk to him. They were interrupted when Justin and Alex arrived. Justin called to check on the status of Victor’s plane. Maggie started to talk to Xander again, but Justin interrupted them to announce that Victor’s plane was missing.

Shawn told Belle about his promotion. She was concerned about him being the new commissioner. He said the acting mayor didn’t give him a choice because he wasn’t going to let him be a detective again if he didn’t take the job. She said he would make a great commissioner. Rafe and Jada talked about Shawn being commissioner. He said he didn’t like it, but there was nothing he could do about it. He said he had to move on. She said she was more qualified for the job than Shawn. Rafe said she was right. They talked about her old job and what led her to come to Salem. She said she had to go to work for someone who was a drunk. Shawn and Belle were behind her.

John saw Brady packing up Rachel’s things so he could take her to the DiMera mansion. He told John about his frustrations over the judge granting Kristen joint custody. John told him about going on the run with Rachel. Brady denied taking her on the run. John said he had software that notified him anytime unusual activity went on in the apartment. Brady admitted to taking Rachel on the run. John tried to talk him out of it. Brady left the apartment. Kristen and EJ talked about their good news. Chad brought the kids over for a sleepover with Rachel. Chad and EJ talked to each other. Kristen took the kids so they could see the new room she set up. Chad thanked EJ for his advice about Alex. Chad told him that the advice worked. Kristen overheard them talking. She said the plan didn’t make sense. She warned Chad that it was going to blow up in his face. Chad ended up leaving. Kristen was worried when Brady was late bringing Rachel to the mansion. She was upset and called Belle. She told Belle to call the judge and the police. Kristen heard Rachel call out to her. Kristen and Rachel hugged each other while Brady watched.

Talia had a session with Marlena. She admitted that she had feelings for Chanel. She didn’t think she deserved to be happy after what she did. Marlena told her that sounded like Colin talking. She said he had power over her because of that, but she was taking it back. Talia didn’t think it was a good idea to start a relationship so soon. Marlena agreed, but she didn’t think she should repress her feelings. Kayla quizzed Abe with the flashcards. Paulina showed up. She pushed by Kayla and asked Abe if he could be a good mayor. She told him what Rawlings did to Chanel. She pleaded with him to help her daughter. Kayla and Paulina argued over her pushing Abe to soon. He stopped them and said he would do it. He felt like being the mayor would give him purpose and might help with his memory. He promised Kayla that he would be back if it’s too soon. He wanted to try and help his stepdaughter. Paulina hugged Abe while Kayla looked worried.

Ava apologized to Harris and assured him that she was feeling better. She talked to him about what happened with Charlie. She told him that her visions of her dead son were gone. She tried to get off her medication, but she didn’t want to try it again. She said her therapist told her that her guilty conscience was why she had hallucination. He wanted to know more about her, and she told him. She cried as she thought about the lives she took. Harris said that he understood how she felt. Harris told her about his story. He let her know that he asked to be committed. He thought he was invincible. Ava let him know that no one is invincible. Harris wanted to know how long it had been since she talked to Tripp. She hadn’t seen him in months because she attacked him the last time she saw him. She was afraid that it would happen again. He thought she should reach out to him. She thanked him for what he said. He left for his session and Tripp showed up.

Sarah was surprised to see Maggie in her apartment. Maggie told Sarah that she knew what she was hiding. Sarah was scared until Maggie told her she knew that she was dating Rex and was keeping it from her. Sarah tried to go with Maggie’s theory so she wouldn’t lie to her. Maggie told her to put the grocery bag down so they could talk. When Sarah put the bag down, Maggie found out Sarah was pregnant. Maggie thought the baby was Rex’s until she realized it could be Xander’s. Maggie noticed the look on Sarah’s face. Maggie thought it was Xander’s baby and Sarah knows that it’s his. Sarah tried to tell her why she was keeping the baby a secret from Xander, but Maggie said it wasn’t a good idea. Sarah said he couldn’t know the truth. She asked Maggie not to tell him. Maggie agreed to keep the secret. She told Sarah that he has moved on with Chloe. Gwen knocked on Leo’s door. She wanted to come inside. Leo and Dimitri panicked. Gwen kept knocking on the door. Leo answered the door in a towel. He told her he was busy but she came in the room. She was surprised to see his bed being messy. He said that was why he didn’t want to let her in the room. She told him she wanted to tell him goodbye. They said they were going to miss each other. Gwen heard a noise in the bathroom and realized Leo wasn’t alone. She thought the man he was texting was in the bathroom. She said she wanted to meet him, but Leo didn’t want her to. He said the guy is married. He said he didn’t want his lover’s wife to find out. He told her he felt guilty. She comforted him and told him he deserved happiness. She said she hoped he would find someone like Dimitri.

Chloe was shocked that Xander was proposing to her. She thought it had something to do with Gwen getting married. He said it didn’t. He said he saw Gwen and told her he was happy for her. He said he told Maggie that he has moved on when she told him Sarah was with Rex. Chloe told him she couldn’t marry him. She said it was too soon. She thought he was being reactionary. He tried to convince her to marry him. He said he was proposing to her because he loved her and wanted to have a life with her. She said she needed to think about it. Eric asked Sloan and Melinda what secret they were keeping from him. Melinda told him Sloan talked to the judge in Colin’s case without her present which wasn’t allowed, but Melinda wasn’t going to say anything. He thanked Melinda for her discretion. Sloan walked Melinda out. Sloan told her she wouldn’t say anything. When Sloan went back in the apartment, she saw Eric on his knees. He asked her to marry him. She accepted his proposal. Nicole told EJ that Eric was going to propose to Sloan. EJ proposed to Nicole. She thought he was proposing because Eric was proposing to Sloan. EJ pulled a ring out of the drawer. He said he was waiting for the right moment to propose to her. She accepted his proposal.

Marlena went to Bayview to check on Harris. They are both surprised when they see Ava. Ava confronted him and accused him of being there for her. Harris was confused and Marlena wanted to find Ava’s doctor. Ava thought Harris was her dead son Charlie. She yelled at him so a nurse arrived and sedated her. Marlena returned and asked Harris if he was okay. He couldn’t get over the fact that Ava seemed like she knew him. Marlena left to go to the hospital. He sat down and Ava approached him. Shawn arrived at the police station and told Jada that his suspension was done. He wanted to know how he had to talk to about it. She didn’t know because no one was given Rafe’s job yet. The acting mayor was thrilled to see Shawn. He thought Rafe suspended him because he told on him. Shawn told him that he was drinking on the job. He promised not to do it again. The acting mayor took his word for it. He said he had to replace Rafe. Shawn suggested he give the job to Jada, but he gave the job to him instead.

Kayla brought Abe lunch. He thought she was an actress on Body & Soul, but he remembered who she was. They talked about him staying at her place. She told him that he could stay as long as he needed to do it. He was afraid that he hurt Paulina by leaving, but she assured him that she understood. She showed him flashcards that she made up for him. She made the cards of his family and friends. She wanted to quiz him on the flashcards. Chanel went home and saw Paulina watching TV. She told Chanel what happened with Abe. Chanel tried to comfort her. She told her mother about her dinner with Talia. She admitted that she still had feelings for Talia. Chanel got a call that her bakery was shut down by the city again. They went to the town square and saw the acting mayor. He let them know that he did it based on a technicality. Chanel was upset, but she knew there was nothing she could do about it.
