Days of Our Lives Update

Chanel goes home to Paulina and brings in flowers that they received. Chanel reads the card and that the flowers were from John and Marlena. Paulina calls them good friends who loved Abe so much and says they must be grieving as well, so she feels she should send them something. Chanel encourages her to just take care of herself right now.

John has a dream about finding Abe on the docks and then Abe saying goodbye. John then wakes up in a panic.

Whitley goes home with her mail and sees the front page of the newspaper about Abe being presumed dead. Whitley goes to throw it away but Abe comes in and questions what she is doing.

Eli goes to Theo’s room at the Salem Inn and hugs him. Theo asks if Eli has seen the newspaper saying that Abe is dead and that Rafe thinks so too. Theo cries that he keeps losing all the people he loves. Lani then arrives and says he hasn’t lost her as they embrace. Theo questions her being there. Lani explains that she hasn’t been released from prison but Eli convinced them to let her go for Abe’s funeral and she just has to wear an ankle monitor. Theo hugs her and is thankful that she is there. Lani tells him that she’s grateful to be there but she’s so sorry she couldn’t have been there when Abe first went missing. Eli assures that there is nothing she could have done that Steve, John, and Rafe didn’t try. Theo doesn’t get how no one saw Abe. Lani encourages him to be strong for each other because that is what Abe would’ve wanted as they hug.

Kayla joins Steve in the living room at home. Kayla comments on Steve not coming to bed last night. Steve knew he wouldn’t be able to sleep as he still can’t believe that Abe fell off the docks and drowned. Kayla brings up the evidence. Steve points out that evidence can be fabricated. Kayla asks if that’s what he thinks happened. Steve feels it’s too easy.

Marlena comments on John waking up in a sweat, calling out Abe’s name. John laments another damn nightmare. Marlena asks if he wants to talk about it. John explains that in the dream, he found Abe at the docks and then he was gone. John complains that Paulina trusted that he and Steve would find Abe, but he let her down and let Abe down.

Abe asks what Whitley is doing with the newspaper. She admits she was getting rid of it before he woke up because she didn’t want him to get upset. Abe responds that he is upset now because he doesn’t like being handled. Whitley tells him that something terrible happened at the docks as a local man who had gone missing was found in the water and now his poor family can have closure because they had been looking for him for weeks. Abe says he feels sorry for them, but he’s not falling apart, so he’d like to read that story for himself.

Chanel gets lasagna at the door that Maggie and Victor sent over. Chanel encourages Paulina to take a shower and get dressed but Paulina says for now, she just needs to sit here as she hugs Chanel.

Whitley tells Abe that she’s putting her foot down because the details are too upsetting and the doctors say they have to keep his stress levels to a minimum. Abe argues that he feels fine. Whitley claims she’s scared all the time. Abe apologizes as he knows this isn’t easy for her. Whitley says she just can’t lose him and talks about having to go to work and leaving him home alone. Abe assures that he feels fine and she doesn’t have to worry about him. Whitley decides to go get ready for work, insisting that she’s doing this for him and it’s what’s best for him.

Marlena feels John is being too hard on himself when he and Steve did everything they could to find Abe. John feels they must not have done enough. John states that the worst part is that they gave Paulina hope by telling her it doesn’t make sense how Abe could’ve gotten all the way to the docks without someone recognizing him. John acknowledges the hospital bracelet and his blood was on the scene as well as the eye witness.

Lani tells Theo about getting to see her kids and how they are too young to understand what’s going on. Fireworks begin going off outside. Theo realizes it’s the 4th of July which means it’s Eli and Lani’s anniversary. Theo asks them what’s wrong as they both seemed weird when he brought up their anniversary. Eli reveals that they’ve decided not to celebrate this year. Lani says it’s because of Abe. Theo argues that is a reason they should celebrate because of how happy Abe was for them. Lani cries that she can’t have champagne and a fancy dinner without Abe there. Theo apologizes for upsetting her. Eli hugs Lani as she cries. Eli suggests they head over to Paulina’s and invites Theo, but Theo says he’ll come later as he thinks Paulina will want to spend some time alone with Lani. Theo adds that he has something he has to do.

Steve asks Kayla if she really thinks Abe was physically capable of getting out of the hospital on his own. Kayla admits she didn’t think so at first but supposes it’s possible. Steve talks about the police putting out an APB and searching for weeks for one of the most well known people in the city but they get no reports until one day, the first person to see Abe sees him fall in to the water and drown and the case is closed. Steve feels something doesn’t add up. Steve questions how Abe would’ve survived the weeks before that since he suffered amnesia and was recovering from a head injury. Kayla asks if he still thinks Colin did it. Steve says maybe he kidnapped Abe, but he was in jail most of the time that Abe was missing. Steve doesn’t understand how Abe didn’t end up in social services. Kayla brings up Abe being instrumental in helping the homeless and says this is scaring her. Theo arrives at the door. Kayla hugs him and says she’s so glad he came over. Steve hugs him and says he’s so sorry. Steve calls it a tough day and apologizes that he and John didn’t come through for them. Theo says they did their best and he just came to thank them for the donation to Abe’s charity. Kayla talks about how they really loved Abe and they love Theo so they are here for him, always.

John thinks back to a past time with Abe. Marlena asks where he was just now. John responds that he was thinking of the moment he found out that he wasn’t the person he thought he was and how his whole life changed in an instant and Abe was there. John declares that his friendship with Abe was the one thing that was still the same in his life. John wishes he could’ve been as good a friend to Abe as he had always been to him. Marlena encourages that he was and that Abe always knew that. John complains that he was so damn sure they were going to find Abe and that he was being held against his will, but he was so damn wrong.

Abe turns on the TV as Whitley tells him that she’s off to work now. She asks if he’s still mad at her. Abe responds that he’s not mad and he just gets a bit lonely when she’s gone. She thought he was catching up on Body and Soul. Abe remarks that it would be nice to have people who talk back and suggests Theo could come hang out for awhile. Whitley tells him that Theo had to travel back to South Africa. Abe questioning his son leaving town without saying goodbye. Whitley claims that Theo stopped by but Abe was resting and she didn’t want to disturb him. Abe argues that she should’ve woken him up. Whitley agreed and apologizes. Abe then asks about Chanel and if she can come see him.

Paulina tells Chanel that she just keeps thinking about the heartache she caused Abe with her secrets and lies. Chanel encourages that she more than made up for it with her love as Abe was crazy about her. Eli and Lani then show up at the door, surprising Chanel.

Kayla encourages Theo to remember to eat and that they are there if he ever feels alone or needs to talk. Theo thanks them and thinks he’s going to be okay, especially now that his sister is here.

Chanel tells Paulina that she won’t believe this. Lani then enters, shocking Paulina as they embrace.

John apologizes to Marlena for talking about and thinking about himself when Marlena is going through this too. Marlena states that it is hitting her hard too, but that doesn’t mean he can’t talk about how he’s feeling. Marlena says the only way to get through this is to talk about their feelings. Marlena thinks she has an idea.

Kayla tells Theo that Paulina must have been thrilled to see Lani and is thankful to Eli for bringing her home. Theo points out that it’s only temporary. Kayla is glad the whole family will be together for the funeral. Theo brings up how when his mom died, he got to say goodbye but his dad just disappeared. Theo cries that it doesn’t make sense to him.

Paulina tells Lani that she’s so grateful that she’s here, even if it is for a terribly sad reason. Lani responds that she’s grateful too even if it is for a short time. Lani states that part of her doesn’t feel like Abe is really gone as it’s so surreal. Paulina complains that the way it happened just doesn’t make sense to her. Paulina says maybe that’s because they didn’t get to say goodbye to him or see him. Paulina asks how they can have a proper funeral without a body.

Whitley informs Abe that Chanel intended to come over but she’s been swamped at the bakery. Abe guesses that means another day of staring at the walls. Whitley encourages him about watching Body and Soul.

Eli says there is no telling when or if Abe’s body will ever be found. Lani points out that they didn’t waste any time declaring Abe dead even though there’s no evidence proving it as fact. Lani wants to see the evidence and tells Eli that she wants to go to the police station. Eli notes that’s against policy but says given the circumstances, he doesn’t think Rafe would mind. Lani asks to go now but Paulina argues that it’s her anniversary so she shouldn’t be spending it at the police station, especially when nothing she finds there can bring back Abe. Lani insists that she has to see the evidence for herself or she’ll never sleep again. Paulina knows there is no changing her mind. Chanel decides to walk Lani and Eli out as she has to get back to the bakery. Chanel asks if Paulina will be okay by herself. Paulina responds that she better get used to it.

John and Marlena go to Steve and Kayla’s where they are surprised to see Theo. Marlena hugs Theo and says it’s so good to see him and that she’s so sorry about Abe. Theo tells John that he knows how hard he and Steve worked to find Abe and he’s very grateful. Steve calls Abe one of the best men and says they loved him a lot. Theo says Abe knew that and gets emotional. Marlena asks if he wants to talk. Theo thinks he should get going and mentions that Lani is there. Marlena sends their love to Lani and Paulina. Kayla says to call if there’s anything they can do. Theo says it was nice to see them all again. Steve tells him to come back any time as Theo then exits. Steve and John complain that they should have found Abe. Marlena feels they are blaming themselves too much when they did everything they could and did their very best.

Whitley tells Abe that she wishes she could stay and watch Body and Soul with him but she has to get to work, so she tells him to have fun and exits.

Eli brings Lani to the police station and asks if she’s okay. Lani says it’s just really weird being back here with so many memories, mainly meeting Eli and falling in love. They talk about getting married and living happily ever after as they kiss.

John agrees that he and Steve busted their ass to find Abe. John thinks he’s just blaming himself because it’s a lot easier than accepting the fact that Abe is gone. Steve feels the same. John tells Steve about his dream of Abe. John mentions that in the dream, Abe just walked away from him and didn’t fall in the water. Marlena asks about the end of the dream and for more details. John explains that in the dream, he was going to call Paulina but Abe said he couldn’t stay and then said goodbye, turned around and walked off. Marlena feels something is wrong. Steve agrees, repeating that Abe had amnesia and questions how he survived all those weeks with no one seeing him or looking after him. John brings up the witness being the only person to see him which means Abe had to get all the way down to the dock without anyone seeing him. Steve declares that they need to get back to work.

Lani and Eli go over the evidence in Abe’s case in the interrogation room. Lani recalls when she first came to Salem and being determined to prove that Abe was her biological father but she was wrong. Eli encourages that Abe is her father in every way that counts. Lani goes over Jerry’s witness statement and sees his photo which she notes looks like a professional photo. Eli notes that Jada dug that up and it turns out that Jerry is an actor.

Abe continues watching Body and Soul where Jerry shows up as an actor in the show. Abe recognizes him and questions it being Theo.

Whitley shows up at Paulina’s door. Paulina asks what she’s doing there.

Nicole tells Eric that she knows it must have been difficult for him to be in the hospital with her, so she wants him to know it means a lot. Eric is glad he could be there for her as they hug. They get close until Eric decides he should go get her food because she’s looking pale and quickly exits the room.

Leo enters the wine cellar in the DiMera Tunnels and finds EJ and Kristen tied up. EJ never thought he’d say thank God that Leo’s here. Leo questions what is going on here. Kristen and EJ explain that Megan did this to them and have held them captive for weeks. Leo talks about how he knew Megan was up to something, so he followed her here. Leo calls it an underground bondage dungeon while Kristen assures that’s not what this is. Leo asks why Megan did this to them. EJ starts to reveal that they found out what Megan was planning, but then he begins suffering memory loss from the injection and says that he doesn’t remember.

Megan arrives at the Bistro and welcomes everyone. Megan apologizes for the delay and says that to make this a really special night, she brought a bottle of Stefano’s favorite champagne and it took a little longer than expected but she’s here now. Megan is so glad they are all here too because there is nothing in this world more important than family. Megan adds that she’s so grateful that they have all welcomed her back. Megan is thrilled to host this gathering for her newfound brother and his gorgeous bride to be. Megan says she just knows that Stefano is smiling down on them now, happy to see them all together again. Megan admits that she knows they have their differences but says they overcome them because that’s what families do. Chad mutters to Stephanie that Megan’s an assassin and that’s kind of hard to overcome. Megan talks about all the lost years they could’ve spent together but says she looks forward to the many happy years to come. Megan calls for everyone to grab a glass of champagne to toast the couple. Harris Michaels then arrives. Megan pretends to be shocked and asks what the hell he’s doing there. Harris then pulls his gun out, scaring everyone in the room.

Li exits Dr. Rolf’s lab with Harris Michaels’ phone which rings as Kate calls. Li remarks to himself that he’s sorry to Kate because Harris is unavailable as he’s under new management and he and Megan have already given him his new assignment to eliminate Stefan DiMera.

Harris says he’s sorry to interrupt the festivities and orders everyone to move to one side of the room. Chad questions what he’s doing. Harris responds that he’s here to eliminate a threat which Chad questions. Megan claims that she’s the threat and that Harris is there to kill her.

Eric brings Nicole her food and says he’s looking out for her and the baby. Nicole remarks that if only the baby’s father was that attentive. Nicole appreciates Eric’s help but argues that EJ should be the one doing this instead of being on some secret business trip where he can’t even answer his phone. Eric says he’s sure EJ has his reasons. Nicole complains that they won’t be good enough as it’s like he’s forgotten what’s important. Nicole remarks that the baby isn’t even born yet and EJ has already abandoned them.

Leo questions EJ not remembering. EJ tries to think but says it’s like the memory evaporated from his brain. EJ asks what Kristen thinks. Kristen responds that she thinks Megan injected them with something to make them forget her plan. Kristen states that she has no idea about any of it. Leo says he may have an idea and asks if it has something to do with his son Dimitri. Leo brings up Dimitri proposing to Gwen and thinking that he and Megan have an ulterior motive. Leo asks if any of that rings a bell. Kristen says it does sound familiar.

Li walks through the town square and stands outside the Bistro. Li states that it’s all happening upstairs and that soon, Stefan will be dead and he’ll be there to pick up the pieces with Gabi. Rafe then approaches Li and questions what he’s doing there.

Megan argues that Harris wants revenge for everything she did to him and even came to her house to threaten her. Dimitri questions why she didn’t tell him. Megan claims that she thought he was all talk and didn’t think he was this deranged. Harris says that’s enough. Dimitri tells Harris that if he wants to hurt his mother, he’ll have to get through him first. Megan tells Dimitri to stay out of this. Harris tells them to relax as he’s not there to kill either one of them. Harris then announces he’s here to kill Stefan. Gabi questions that while Stefan says he doesn’t understand as Harris doesn’t even know him. Harris assures Stefan that it’s nothing personal and he’s just following orders. Stefan asks who’s orders. Johnny whispers to Wendy that they can’t just watch him do this. Wendy tries to call the police but Harris fires a shot and orders her to drop it. Harris declares that the next person he sees with a phone will not get a warning. Harris says this can go one of two ways, everybody does as their told and survive or he can take out as many people as he has to in order to complete his mission. Stefan questions how he is a threat to Harris. Gabi asks who would consider Stefan a threat and argues that it has to be EJ, who is conveniently not at the party and has been plotting against him the entire time. Stefan asks Harris if it’s true that EJ hired him and demands an answer. Harris responds that if he must know, it wasn’t EJ. Stefan asks who he is working for then. Harris then announces the man who wants Stefan dead is Li Shin.

Li tells Rafe that he didn’t hear him sneaking up on him. Rafe says he’s just going to his sister’s engagement party. Li points out that he’s a little late. Rafe says things have been hectic at the police station. Li says he’s sorry to hear about Abe. Rafe points out that Li still hasn’t answered his question and asks what he’s doing lurking about. Li argues that he’s not lurking and was just passing through. Rafe notes that Li seems a little nervous to be just passing through. Rafe guesses that Li was thinking about going up there, crashing the party, and creating a scene. Li then tells Rafe that he’s right.

Leo asks Kristen why Megan and Dimitri are using Gwen. Kristen complains that she doesn’t remember. Leo urges her to want to help Gwen. EJ thinks Megan’s plan is a lot more sinister and high stakes, like it’s life and death. Leo asks if he’s saying Gwen is in danger. EJ feels like someone else is the main target, but he doesn’t know who and it’s just a gut feeling. Leo calls them useless. Kristen points out that he still hasn’t untied them. Leo suggests she ask nicely. Kristen yells at him to do it now.

Nicole apologizes to Eric as she’s sure the last thing he wants to hear is her complaining about EJ. Eric says it’s okay as she has every right to. Nicole tells Eric that he doesn’t have to stay and shouldn’t feel obligated to. Eric says he doesn’t and feels that Nicole shouldn’t be alone right now. Nicole repeats that the cramps were nothing and reminds him that Tripp said she and the baby are fine. Nicole adds that Harold is there if she needs anything. Eric asks if she’s sure. Nicole says she is and thanks him again. Nicole tells him that she’s grateful that she can still count on him. They hug and this time they end up kissing. Eric stops and says they can’t do this, reminding her that he’s with Sloan and she’s with EJ. Nicole asks where EJ is then. Nicole apologizes and says she just felt that old pull between them and the old feelings of being abandoned and worthless. Eric argues that she shouldn’t feel either and calls EJ a jackass for doing this to her. Eric brings up if the baby was his but then apologizes and says that’s not helpful. Nicole responds that it’s okay and that Eric would’ve been the perfect father. Nicole adds that he still can be if things work out with him and Sloan. Eric thanks her for saying that. Nicole calls it the truth. Nicole states that she has some hard truths to face with EJ if she ever sees him again. Nicole doesn’t know if she can forgive EJ for disappearing when she needed him the most. EJ and Kristen then emerge from the tunnels, shocking Nicole.

Gabi questions Harris saying that Li put him up to this. Harris asks if that’s so hard to believe as Li apparently still has something for her. Gabi questions thinking that killing Stefan is the way to win back her love. Harris thinks it’s more of if he can’t have her, no one can. Megan says in her head that Dr. Rolf programmed Harris to think he’s working solely for Li, just as she planned. Wendy questions believing Harris and argues that her brother would never hire someone to kill Stefan because he’s not a murderer. Stefan brings up that Li did pull the plug on him while he was in a coma. Wendy calls that different and a mistake, arguing that a split second decision is different than plotting to murder someone in cold blood. Wendy argues that Gabi knows that’s not Li but Gabi agrees with Stefan that Li has a history of trying to eliminate his competition by any means necessary. Wendy insists that Li accepted that Gabi moved on and he didn’t even fight the divorce. Johnny reminds Wendy that Li didn’t want her to come to the party. Wendy thinks that was just about being loyal to him. Johnny feels he didn’t want her to get caught in the crossfire.

Rafe tells Li to stay away from the party because he’s caused Gabi enough pain already. Li says he just ran in to Wendy and Johnny as they were heading in and then ran in to Gabi and Stefan. Li states that he tried to be happy for them but he can’t get out of his head what could’ve been because he loved Gabi so much and still does. Rafe understands because he’s been in a similar situation but tells Li that what he and Gabi had before is over, so he needs to accept that. Li responds that he can’t just will away feelings. Li argues that even now, knowing how happy Gabi and Stefan are just breaks his heart.

Stefan questions Harris about this being true. Harris asks why he would lie. Chad questions what happened to turning his life around and wanting redemption for everything he did. Chad then guesses that this isn’t Harris and that he’s brainwashed again but this time by Li. Gabi agrees since Li brainwashed Stefan in to forgetting that he loved her and now Harris in to being his assassin. Dimitri asks Gwen who hasn’t been brainwashed in this town. Gwen whispers that it’s kind of a thing here. Harris yells at everyone to shut up. Harris says he doesn’t know what they are talking about and only knows that he has orders from Li to kill Stefan and it’s about that time.

Nicole questions EJ being here. EJ kisses her and hugs her. Nicole asks when he got back in town. EJ reveals that he never left as Megan locked him in the tunnels. Kristen points out that she locked both of them in there. Nicole questions why she would do that. EJ responds that they don’t know but they are pretty sure that Megan gave them something that is affecting their memory. Nicole asks how they escaped. Kristen reveals that Leo Stark found them and set them free. Eric questions what Leo was doing down there. Kristen says she has no idea as she doesn’t remember.

Leo remains in the wine cellar and argues that Megan must be using this as her base of operations, so there has to be something down here. Leo searches the wine cellar and finds a bottle of wine but tells himself to focus as he has to find proof that Dimitri is up to no good since that’s the only way to stop Gwen from getting hurt.

Chad pleads with Harris to stop and not do this. Harris responds that orders are orders. Stephanie argues that he doesn’t have to follow them and urges him to fight whatever Li did to him. Chad tells Harris not to listen to Li’s voice in his head and listen to his own because deep down, he knows this is wrong. Stephanie reminds Harris of when he set the bomb off at her apartment in Seattle and how he felt terrible after because of what Megan did to him. Megan tells her not to remind the man with the gun how much he hates her. Gabi pleads with Harris not to let Li do this and argues that he’s not a murderer. Gwen points out that he technically is as she’s read his case and there were several incidents. Gabi tells Gwen that she’s not helping, so she apologizes. Gabi suggests Harris call Li, so that she can talk him out of this.

Li thanks Rafe and admits that he would’ve just humiliated himself at Gabi and Stefan’s party, so he’s glad that Rafe stopped him. Rafe says he didn’t do it for him. Li says either way, he helped him so he appreciates it. Li promises that he is now heading straight home. Li tells Rafe to give his congratulations to the happy couple. Rafe says goodnight and walks away. Li hopes by the time Rafe gets up there, it will be too late and the job will have been completed.

Gabi pleads with Harris to let her call Li. Wendy agrees that they can make Li see what a mistake this is. Harris orders Gabi to drop the phone, so she does. Gabi cries that she didn’t want to hurt Li but her heart belongs to Stefan who is the only person who ever understood her and loved her. Gabi declares that if he shoots Stefan, he has to shoot her too because she can’t live without him. Harris responds that he’s sorry but it has to be done. Rafe then bursts in with his gun and orders Harris to drop the gun. When Harris turns to face Rafe, Gabi jumps on his back. They struggle until Harris fires a shot from his gun, shooting Megan. Dimitri rushes to her side. Gabi then knees Harris in the groin, dropping him to the ground. Gabi takes his gun and hands it to Stefan. Dimitri worries about Megan’s loss of blood as she begins to pass out. Gwen says she’s going to get help and rushes out.

Li returns home and wonders why he hasn’t heard from Megan since Stefan should be dead by now. Li imagines Gabi coming to tell him that Harris killed Stefan and them getting back together.

Rafe and Chad handcuff Harris to a chair as Harris complains that he has a job to do. Gabi informs Rafe that Harris said Li ordered him to kill Stefan. Chad adds that he suspects Li brainwashed him. Rafe mentions seeing Li outside and he was staring up here. Rafe thought Li was coming to make a fool of himself but obviously it was much worse. Gwen returns and says the paramedics are on their way. Gabi encourages Dimitri not to give up hope as Megan will soon get the help she needs. Johnny checks on Wendy, who is holding back tears. Johnny then decides to get her out of there. Stefan questions what Gabi was thinking by going after Harris like that. Gabi argues that she was saving his life. Stefan thanks her but asks her to never do something that reckless again. Gabi says she had to stop him because she couldn’t lose Stefan again. Stefan tells her it’s okay now and hugs her. Stefan states that Li tried to keep them apart again but failed again as nothing can keep them apart. Stefan declares that Li will pay for this and so will everyone else who helped him out.

Nicole questions EJ and Kristen being held prisoner by Megan this whole time. EJ calls Megan an evil, sadistic bitch. Nicole brings up EJ texting her but EJ says he wishes he could, so it must have been Megan using his phone. Nicole admits that explains why he didn’t answer her calls. Nicole thought EJ abandoned her and the baby. EJ assures that he will never abandon her as she and the baby mean everything to him. EJ asks Nicole about her meeting with the specialist. Nicole confirms that she thinks she can carry the baby to term. EJ hugs her and calls it wonderful news. EJ declares that after all these years, they are finally going to have a child together. EJ and Nicole kiss as Eric watches on.

Eric goes home and sits on his bed, thinking back to kissing Nicole.

EJ joins Nicole in their bedroom and says he feels better after a shower. Nicole wants a doctor to take a look at EJ since Megan’s drugs could have side effects. EJ says they will, but first he wants to dress the elephant in the room in Eric. EJ questions what Eric was doing there. Nicole assures that he came over for a very good reason and they will talk about that, just not now. Nicole calls it a blessing in disguise because she got some cramping and Eric took her to the hospital but everything is fine. Nicole admits that Eric wanted to stay because EJ wasn’t around. EJ goes over how he disappeared, Nicole thought the worst of him and turned to Eric. Nicole argues that’s not how it went and that EJ knows how she feels about him. EJ questions if he does, pointing out that a few weeks ago, he told her that he loved her and she hasn’t said it back. Nicole says she knows and she’s sorry. Nicole adds that when she thinks about how Megan could have killed him, she realized that she does love him. Nicole comments that EJ looks skeptical. EJ feels he might have talked her in to saying that or pressured her. Nicole assures that he didn’t and that she said it because she feels it. Nicole declares that he is the father of her child and the man that she wants to be with as they kiss.

Kristen makes a phone call to report a kidnapping of herself and EJ by Megan. Kristen then says she doesn’t remember how it happened and asks why she would joke about something so serious. Kristen tells them to hold on as she needs to get with EJ and goes to find him. Leo then emerges from the tunnels with a bottle of wine and says so much for being Gwen’s hero. Leo wishes that EJ and Kristen could remember what Megan and Dimitri are up to, so he could tell Gwen before it’s too late and then she would dump Dimitri and never look back.

Gwen joins Dimitri at the hospital and asks how Megan is. Dimitri says they got her stable in the ambulance and then rushed her right in to surgery. Dimitri worries that she looked so pale and fragile. Gwen reminds him that Megan cheated death once, so she’s going to do it again. Dimitri thanks her for her support. Dimitri says he understands if she wants to get home but Gwen declares that she’s not going anywhere as she’s staying here. Dimitri then hugs Gwen.

Harris tells Chad that he has to let him go. Chad says that’s not going to happen as he promised Rafe that he would look after him until backup arrived. Stephanie points out that a squad car just pulled up, so the police should be there any minute. Harris argues that he has a mission to complete. Chad tells Harris that the mission is over and he failed. Stephanie asks if it was Dr. Rolf’s handy work. Chad believes so. Stephanie says that Harris can’t catch a break as first he was brainwashed by Megan and now Li Shin.

Johnny and Wendy sit together in the town square. Wendy can’t believe Li did something so crazy. Johnny talks about losing Chanel to Allie and how he almost did something very underhanded. Wendy points out that he didn’t hire a Navy SEAL to kill Allie because he’s not a criminal or a heartless bastard with no conscience. Wendy declares that there is no excuse for the horrible, unforgiving thing that her brother did and now he’s going to have to face the consequences.

Gabi shows up at Li’s door like he imagined. Li asks what she’s doing there and not at her engagement party. Gabi explains that she was until Harris Michaels showed up with a gun to kill Stefan. Li pretends to be shocked and says he’s so sorry. Li says poor Stefan, but Stefan then arrives and tells Li not to bury him just yet. Li says thank God he’s okay but Stefan tells Li to drop the act. Li asks what he means. Rafe then arrives and arrests Li for the attempted murder of Stefan DiMera.

Gabi joins Stefan at the DiMera Mansion and apologizes for being late as she was in a meeting. Gabi says she just left because she couldn’t be late for her own engagement party. Stefan isn’t sure how much of a party it will be since most of the guests can’t make it. Gabi asks why. Stefan explains that Tony and Anna are still out of town and EJ is still on that mysterious business trip. Stefan adds that Megan told him that Kristen decided to take a trip to New York. Gabi finds it odd that Kristen and EJ both left town without telling them. Stefan reveals that what’s more odd is that Kristen left without her phone when they both know she can’t live without it.

EJ and Kristen remain tied up in the wine cellar in the DiMera tunnels. They try screaming for help. Kristen complains that she would have thought someone would have come for a bottle of wine by now. EJ worries that if Megan had her way, Stefan’s probably already dead. Kristen doubts that and says Megan would’ve gloated about it when she was there before. EJ agrees that Megan does love to gloat, so he doesn’t know how she’s fooling Nicole. EJ can’t believe Nicole fell for Megan’s story as if he would leave for a business trip when Nicole had such an important medical appointment that he arranged to see if she can carry their baby to term. EJ hates to think that Nicole is going through it alone.

At the hospital, Eric encourages Nicole to breathe. Nicole fears that she is losing the baby.

At the Brady Pub, Kate looks over her text conversation with Harris Michaels and notes that she hasn’t heard anything since. Kate texts him asking where the hell he is because she needs more information. Li walks by the Pub with Harris’ phone and texts Kate back that everything went according to plan. Li then remarks to himself that it just wasn’t according to Kate’s plan.

Megan watches as Dr. Rolf shocks Harris’ brain. Dr. Rolf assures Megan that Harris will be doing only her bidding from now on. Megan asks if he’s sure that Harris is ready for the job that she needs him to do tonight. Dr. Rolf tells her not to worry and declares that this will be Stefan’s last night on Earth.

Dimitri tells Johnny and Wendy that he’s glad he ran in to them. Wendy points out that it might be a little weird since she was almost Gabi’s sister-in-law but she really likes her and she’s glad that Gabi is marrying the man she loves. Johnny tells Dimitri that they will see him at the party then. Dimitri thanks them and says that Megan is trying to do something nice for Stefan and Gabi, but admits the attendance on the DiMera side might be a little thin. Johnny says they will help with that.

Kate sends a text to Harris’ phone, asking what he did with Megan. Li responds that it’s best she doesn’t know the details. Li then remarks to himself that she’ll find out soon enough. Kate texts back, inviting Harris to the Pub for a drink to celebrate.

Gwen gets dressed for the engagement party. Leo mentions his plan to drink all night unless she gets him in to the party. Gwen says that Dimitri is hoping for a romantic night so she doesn’t want him spoiling that. Gwen comments on Leo not giving Dimitri the benefit of the doubt. Leo argues against Dimitri wanting to marry her after 24 hours and says even he doesn’t move that fast. Gwen talks about them being losers in love but now her Prince Charming has literally fallen in to her lap. Leo complains that she means he’s still a loser. Gwen says she’s had a wonderful bit of luck and wonders if Leo is just a bit jealous.

Gabi and Stefan look over the guest list for the party. Gabi comments on Gwen being there while Stefan points out Chad attending and says at least a few DiMeras will be there. Gabi says Rafe is the only one from her side that’s coming and he’s so busy with Abe’s case that he said he can only stop by. Gabi worries that the party is going to suck but Stefan calls that impossible since they will be there and he plans on having a grand old time, celebrating their love and the fact that they will soon be husband and wife again. Gabi agrees that them being there together is all that matters.

Kristen tells EJ that Nicole is the least of their problems at the moment. Kristen complains that she’s starving and she can’t believe her sister did this to them. Kristen worries about how this is going to end. EJ tells her not to go there but Kristen questions if there is any reason for Megan to keep them alive.

Megan tells Dr. Rolf that Harris hardly looks like a man ready to carry out an assassination later tonight. Dr. Rolf acknowledges that the procedure was taxing but he’s confident that Harris will be ready. Megan says he better be because Stefano would be rolling over in his grave if Stefan handed over his legacy to Gabi. Megan declares that DiMera should be hers and the flies in the ointment are EJ and Kristen. Megan worries that if she lets them go, they will turn her in to the authorities and ruin everything she has planned. Dr. Rolf asks if she doesn’t have faith in him by now and reveals that he knows how to make sure that won’t happen.

Leo asks Gwen why he would be jealous. Gwen complains about Leo being suspicious about Dimitri when they have ruled out that it’s money or his reputation or a green card. Gwen questions what other possible ulterior motive he could have. Gwen suggests it was just love at first sight, insisting that is possible. Gwen says even as friends, she knew when she first saw Leo that she would always love him. Leo accepts that maybe she’s right. Leo then admits that maybe he is a bit jealous that she has found her Prince Charming while no one has flirted with him in the last millennium. Leo adds that he’s still certain that Dimitri is up to something.

Johnny tells Dimitri that they will see him at the Bistro. Dimitri comments that it should be a great celebration as he walks away. Johnny admits he was surprised that Wendy wanted to go to the party. Wendy explains that Gabi is the closest thing she’s ever had to a sister and she doesn’t think Gabi holds what happened with her and Li against her. Wendy hopes Gabi understands that Li kind of lost his mind when Stefan came back because he knew he was going to lose Gabi, so he did a lot of things that he regrets now. Wendy states that Li did so many things to hold on to her, so she’s really glad that Li has come to his senses and realized that he has to move on…

Li texts Kate back as Harris, saying he’s moving Megan to a secure location and will join her for a drink when he returns.

Chad and Stephanie go to the Brady Pub and greet Kate. Chad tells Kate that they just wanted to stop by and see how she’s doing because he knows she and Abe were close. Kate calls it so terrible and she still can’t believe it as she still hasn’t processed it. Stephanie agrees, calling it awful and sad. Stephanie feels kind of wrong to be going to a party. Chad tells Kate that it’s Stefan and Gabi’s engagement party. Chad adds that he didn’t want to go, but Megan can be insistent. Kate is confused and questions Megan’s involvement.

Gabi tells Stefan that she still doesn’t know why Megan wanted to throw them this party. Stefan feels a party is a party. Gabi says they could give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she means well. Gabi tells Stefan that she needs some help getting in to her dress, so they head upstairs together.

Eric encourages Nicole that everything is going to be okay and she’s not going to lose the baby. Nicole argues that he doesn’t know that. Eric points out that the cramps are less frequent and reminds her that the most important thing is to relax. Nicole says she can’t relax because she’s been through this too many times in the past. Eric argues that this is not like then, repeating that the cramps are less frequent. Nicole comments on Eric being so kind and caring when this isn’t even his baby. Nicole brings up what happened with Jada. Eric tells Nicole that he cares about her even with all the ups and downs they have been through, so he’s not going anywhere. Eric says he’s sorry that EJ is not here for her right now, but he is.

EJ tells Kristen that he’s all for finding a way out, but he feels they have tried everything. EJ doesn’t think they are in danger since if Megan wanted to kill them, she would have already. Kristen worries that she’s just waiting for the right time, pointing out that if Megan has no problem killing Stefan then what’s to stop her with them.

Dr. Rolf presents Megan with a syringe of CRS-17, the drug he used to wipe out people’s memory. Megan calls him a genius and declares that if EJ and Kristen can’t remember that she kidnapped them or that she admitted to planning to kill Stefan, then she is free and clear. Dr. Rolf confirms that how much they forget depends on the dose so having them forget the past week will be easy. Megan says they have a little bit of time before the party, so she will take care of EJ and Kristen on her way to the party. Megan declares that is something to celebrate. Megan tells Harris that she will see him there and he better not let her down this time.

Nicole appreciates Eric being there for her but says it’s a lot to ask. Eric points out that she didn’t ask. Nicole feels like she doesn’t deserve to be comforted and like she’s being punished. Eric assures that God doesn’t punish people by scaring them. Eric decides to go see what’s keeping the doctor and encourages her to relax as he will be right back.

Gwen tells Leo not to wait up. Leo tells her to promise to call him if Dimitri pressures her to accept his proposal tonight. Gwen asks him to give it a rest, questioning what he can dig up on Dimitri in the next three hours. Leo feels it’s the ideal time to dig up dirt since all the DiMeras will be out and he can check out the mansion to look for clues and might even come up with a story out of it. Gwen remarks that he’ll surely come up with a story since the DiMera Mansion is murder mayhem central. Gwen tells Leo that no matter how hard he looks, Dimitri has no ulterior motive. Leo says they’ll see about that.

Stefan struggles helping Gabi get the zipper up on her dress. Stefan decides that it’s a sign that maybe instead of putting clothes on, they should be taking them off. Gabi agrees as they kiss.

Megan enters the living room of the DiMera Mansion, on the phone with Li. Megan tells Li not to worry about Kate as she will take care of her next. Li says he just wants to make sure that none of this is traced back to them. Megan tells him to stop worrying because Harris is firmly back on her team, so he will take Stefan out at the party tonight then Li will be free to move on with Gabi and they both get what they want. Li says it was a pleasure doing business with her and hangs up. Johnny and Wendy walk through the town square and come across Li. Li asks what the occasion is for them to be dressed up. Wendy informs him that they got a last minute invitation to Stefan and Gabi’s engagement party but Li says he doesn’t want them to go.

Kate questions what Chad said about Megan. Chad repeats that she insisted they go to the party. Chad assures that he still hates Megan for what she did to Kate. Chad jokes that he hates 90% of the people that are going to be there 90% of the time. Kate asks when Megan sent the invitation. Chad says it was just awhile ago. Stephanie asks if something is wrong. Kate says no and just that she tries to avoid Megan at all costs. Chad suggests staying away from the Bistro for the next few hours then because Megan is hosting.

Megan prepares the syringe of CRS-17 and looks to the portrait of Stefano, insisting that she’s only doing what is best for the entire family. Megan remarks that Stefano never even knew Stefan existed and doesn’t think he would’ve liked him much. Megan states that Stefan is so easily manipulated by Gabi and is very weak, so she doesn’t think Stefano will be shedding any tears over this. Megan then heads for the tunnels but Dimitri arrives and questions what she is doing.

Stephanie asks Kate if she’s sure she’s alright. Kate claims she’s fine and she just despises Megan and Dimitri. Chad says he’s sorry for what they put her through. Kate says that’s all over now thanks to Chad and adds that she wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him. Chad is grateful that she is. Kate reminds them that they have a party to go to, so Chad says they should go. Chad jokes that the sooner they get there, the sooner they can leave. Kate tells them to have fun. Chad jokes that it’s going to be lit. Stephanie tells Kate to take care as she and Chad exit the Pub. Kate then calls Harris Michaels.

As Harris phone rings, Wendy comments on Li changing his ringtone. She questions him not answering it. Li blows it off as just spam. Wendy asks why Li doesn’t want them to go to the party. Li argues that Stefan humiliated him. Li then decides that if they really want to go, he knows they are very fond of Gabi which Wendy confirms. Li warns them to watch their backs if they go because you never know what could happen in a room full of DiMeras…

Stefan and Gabi lay in bed together after having sex. Gabi says they better get a move on or they will be late to their own party. Stefan suggests they just not go. Stefan points out that everyone else is sending along their regrets so maybe they should do the same as they continue kissing.

Megan claims to Dimitri that she was just going down to get a few bottles of champagne for the party tonight. Dimitri asks what else she’s been up to since he’s texted her about a dozen times. Megan apologizes and says she’s just been so busy planning everything for the party. Megan asks if Gwen has accepted his proposal. Dimitri says not yet, only because they have been rudely interrupted by her overprotective little roommate. Megan complains that Gwen needs to accept the proposal. Dimitri notes that she did agree to come to the party so he’s sure all the engagement excitement will be contagious. Dimitri is very confident that he will be able to convince Gwen to accept this evening. Megan warns that Dimitri better be confident as she doesn’t need to remind him of the small fortune at stake. Dimitri says he will see her later tonight and exits the mansion. Megan then grabs the syringe and hurries in to the tunnels. Leo then sneaks in to the DiMera Mansion through the side door.

Eric returns to Nicole, who informs him that the doctor said the baby is fine. Eric says that’s great and asks what caused the cramps. Nicole says it was round ligament pain and it’s apparently normal so she just needs to take it easy, stay hydrated, and now she feels like an idiot. Eric understands why she would panic because of her rough history with things like this in the past. Eric is relieved that the baby is okay and he’s sure EJ will feel the same way when he gets back from where ever he is.

EJ tells Kristen that he’d be an idiot if he wasn’t a little worried about what Megan might do to them, but he’s more worried about what she might have already done to Stefan. Megan then enters the room and tells them to relax as she hasn’t done anything to Stefan. Megan then announces that now she has all her ducks in a row, so Stefan will be dead within the hour.

Stefan and Gabi walk through the town square. They agree it would’ve been a bad idea to skip their engagement party. Gabi talks about how they get to celebrate and then go home to spend the rest of the night in bed together. Li approaches them and says he just ran in to Wendy, who said she was going to their party so he would like to offer his congratulations. Stefan thanks him and says that’s very kind of him. Li states that he just wants Gabi to be happy. Gabi tells him that she wants the same for him. Gabi asks if Li is alright as he seems a little edgy. Li claims that he just hopes her evening is every bit as lovely as she deserves it to be. Li then steps away to listen to the voicemail that Kate left, where she says she just heard that Megan is throwing a party tonight and questions how that’s possible. Kate wonders what’s going on and guesses she’ll just have to see with her own eyes. Li deletes the voicemail and remarks that he hopes Kate doesn’t get caught in the crossfire.

Kristen questions Megan saying that Stefan will be dead within the hour. Megan explains that she’s throwing the engagement party tonight and Dr. Rolf has worked his magic on her man, Commander Harris Michaels. EJ questions Dr. Rolf being back. Megan confirms that he is, so tonight, Harris Michaels will do the deed and kill Stefan in front of all his friends and family, except for them two. Kristen asks if she’s going to kill them. Megan says of course not as she doesn’t think Stefano would be very happy about that. EJ swears they won’t implicate her and won’t say anything about this if she lets them go. Megan then reveals the syringe of CRS-17. EJ remembers Dr. Rolf trying to use it on Johnny to erase his memory. Megan tells them that as soon as the drug takes effect, she will be back for them. Megan suggests making it as quick and easy as possible.

Leo sneaks in to the DiMera Mansion and records himself talking about it. Leo notes that he couldn’t overhear the conversation between Dimitri and Megan, but given how shocked Megan was when he came through the tunnels before, he bets that they are hiding something down there and whatever it is will reveal that they are conspiring to screw over Gwen.

Chad and Stephanie arrive at the Bistro and greet Johnny and Wendy. Johnny hugs Chad and says he’s glad to see a family member that he actually knows and likes. Johnny introduces Wendy to Chad and Stephanie. Stephanie mentions hearing a lot about Wendy from Tripp and that he mentioned they might be dating. Stephanie says she shouldn’t have said anything given how Wendy and Johnny are on a date now. Wendy admits that she and Tripp did have a date earlier. Johnny asks if they are calling this a date now. Chad decides it’s none of their business. Chad hopes they have a fun night. Dimitri and Gwen then arrive. Dimitri announces that Gwen is his beautiful date and he hopes that tonight she might do him the honor of accepting his wedding proposal. Chad questions that and Stephanie asks if they knew each other from Europe. Dimitri admits they just met but they agree they share a very deep connection, so they hope they can all be happy for them but guesses not. Gwen says they don’t need anyone’s approval. Chad assures they won’t get it from him. Stefan and Gabi then arrive. Gabi remarks that it’s a room full of people that hates them and tells Stefan that they should’ve stayed home.

Harris Michaels wakes up in Dr. Rolf’s lab and asks what’s going on. Dr. Rolf informs him that he has a very important mission to carry out and asks if he remembers what that is.

Leo sneaks in to the DiMera Tunnels. Eric brings Nicole home to the DiMera Mansion and gets her settled on the couch. Eric asks if she wants water or soup. Nicole stops him and asks him not to go. Nicole tells Eric that she knows it must have been difficult for him to be in the hospital with her, so she wants him to know it means a lot. Eric is glad he could be there for her as they hug.

After being injected by Megan, EJ talks about feeling his memory slipping away. Kristen questions how they helped Stefan now. Leo then finds them and asks WTF?

Megan runs in to Kate in the town square. Megan mocks her and says she’d love to stay and chat but she’s late for a very important date. Megan walks away while Kate remarks “mission accomplished, my ass”

Li goes to Dr. Rolf’s lab and asks how it’s going. Rolf says it’s exactly as he said it would be and that Harris is like a heat seeking missile, focused on destroying his target. Li reminds him that it’s only the target because his sister is at the party. Dr. Rolf assures that Harris is programmed to only target Stefan. Li asks if won’t everyone suspect Megan immediately since she brainwashed Harris before. Dr. Rolf informs Li that he took care of that. Li hopes he didn’t let Harris go before he was fully ready like the disaster with Stefan. Dr. Rolf assures that the procedure is complete and Li will be a happy beneficiary. Li declares that Stefan will be gone and Gabi will be his again but this time, his hands will be completely clean.

Megan arrives at the Bistro and welcomes everyone. Megan apologizes for the delay and says that to make this a really special night, she brought a bottle of Stefano’s favorite champagne and it took a little longer than expected but she’s here now. Megan is so glad they are all here too because there is nothing in this world more important than family. Megan adds that she’s so grateful that they have all welcomed her back. Megan is thrilled to host this gathering for her newfound brother and his gorgeous bride to be. Megan says she just knows that Stefano is smiling down on them now, happy to see them all together again. Megan admits that she knows they have their differences but says they overcome them because that’s what families do. Chad mutters to Stephanie that Megan’s an assassin and that’s kind of hard to overcome. Megan talks about all the lost years they could’ve spent together but says she looks forward to the many happy years to come. Megan calls for everyone to grab a glass of champagne to toast the couple. Harris Michaels then arrives. Megan pretends to be shocked and asks what the hell he’s doing there. Harris then pulls his gun out, scaring everyone in the room.

Tripp talks on the phone to Steve, telling him how sorry he is to hear about Abe. Tripp notes that Abe was pretty much family to most of the town.

Eric enters the DiMera Mansion and tells Nicole that he wanted to come see her as soon as he heard about Abe. Nicole asks what about Abe.

Chloe and Xander eat together at their apartment but Xander says he doesn’t have much of an appetite. Chloe calls that unusual and asks if it’s about finding out that Gwen is getting married. Xander admits it was a bit of a shock. Chloe asks if he wants to talk about it.

Leo questions Dimitri’s proposal to Gwen and asks where the ring is. Dimitri agrees and says to let him do this the proper way. Dimitri then gets down on one knee to propose to Gwen. Leo says the answer is a hard no. Leo admits the ring is huge but insists there is no way that Gwen is accepting his proposal. Dimitri asks what Gwen says. Leo says he first has his own question, like what the hell is actually happening here.

Xander tells Chloe that there’s nothing to talk about. Chloe says he doesn’t have to pretend not to care about Gwen. Xander says he only cares but he doesn’t feel good about hurting her and admits she has been through a lot, so she does deserve some happiness. Xander argues that Gwen and Dimitri have known each other for five minutes and questions how he can make her happy. Chloe asks if he’s talked to Gwen about it. Xander says they are hardly on good terms. Chloe comments on Xander still being protective of Gwen. Xander says Gwen can make her own decisions, he just doesn’t want her to end up making one that she will regret for the rest of her life.

Sloan visits Colin in the interrogation room. Colin reiterates that he’s going to take his chances at trial. Sloan states that she came to inform him that Abe Carver is dead.

Eric shocks Nicole by revealing that Abe is dead, noting that they haven’t recovered his body yet but they have a witness who says they saw Abe fall off the docks in to the water. Nicole argues that he could’ve survived then. Eric calls it very unlikely and adds that Rafe and Eli found Abe’s blood and his hospital bracelet at the scene. Nicole says she can’t believe this even though she knew it was possible when he went missing. Eric apologizes as he thought she knew. Nicole holds back tears and repeats that she can’t believe this to be true. Eric notes that Abe loved Nicole so much. Nicole cries that having Abe in her life meant so much to her as he was in her corner no matter what. Nicole states that even when she felt alone, she always had Abe and he never judged her. Eric acknowledges that she was like a daughter to Abe. Nicole wonders what she’s going to do without Abe. Eric hugs Nicole as she cries.

Wendy tells Tripp that it’s awful how Abe died. Tripp calls it a tragedy and says he feels so bad for Abe’s family as well as Steve and Kayla. Tripp notes that he’s glad to be here with her. Wendy thanks him for a wonderful dinner. Tripp brings up revisiting their goodnight kiss that got interrupted when Johnny called to cancel their date. Wendy thinks that would not be wrong at all as they kiss.

Chloe asks Xander how worried she has to be of how protective he is of Gwen. Chloe talks about spending a good portion of her life in relationships with men who are conflicted, unavailable, or a hot mess. Xander assures that she should not worry about he and Gwen. Xander admits that he was thrown to find out that she’s getting married but insists that he’s totally over Gwen. Chloe says that’s good to hear. Xander then admits that Sarah may always be the one that got away.

Nicole finishes a call with her brother Brandon about Abe. Nicole can’t imagine what Theo must be feeling right now and wants to check on him. Eric tells her to let him know if she needs anything. Nicole thanks him for checking on her and says it means a lot. Eric reveals that it was actually Sloan’s idea which Nicole questions. Eric explains that they were together when he got the news about Abe and he mentioned how close Abe and Nicole were, so Sloan said he needed to come see her right away. Nicole admits that was nice of her and jokes that maybe Sloan does have a heart. Nicole then remarks that Eric probably already knew that since he’s trying to have a baby with her.

Colin tells Sloan that Abe being dead is the best news he’s heard all day. Colin calls it tragic and says he didn’t have anything personal against him but argues that he was asking for it by marrying in to the family who destroyed their family and continuing to support Chanel and Paulina. Sloan questions that making him happy. Colin responds that he’s all for anything that causes Chanel and Paulina to suffer and now they know what it’s like to lose someone they love. Sloan complains that she’s not going to sit here while he dances on a man’s grave. Colin mocks Sloan having an epiphany and deciding that all was forgiven. Colin asks if Sloan is on the path of righteousness now. Sloan thinks back to faking the paternity test. Colin asks what she’s thinking about. Sloan responds that she’s not all goodness and light at all as she calls herself a complete hypocrite.

Gwen tells Dimitri that he doesn’t have to answer Leo. Dimitri says he will address Leo’s concerns. Dimitri declares that he’s fallen head over heels in love with Gwen and he wants to marry her because she’s the most captivating and fascinating creature he’s ever met, so nothing will make him happier than knowing she is his forever. Leo asks how gullible he thinks they are and insists that he has an ulterior motive. Dimitri thinks back to leaving Megan a voicemail about their plan. Dimitri says it’s clear that Leo is a loyal and devoted friend of Gwen’s and he’s sure it hasn’t been easy to watch various men of questionable character cause her pain. Dimitri argues that he and Leo aren’t enemies, they are allies because they want the same exact thing and that is to see Gwen happy and safe. Dimitri claims there is nothing in the world that he wants more than to marry Gwen, but if she can’t find it in her heart to accept then he will withdraw his proposal. Gwen realizes that Dimitri was just trying to get Leo to stop being a pain in the ass, but she does not need anyone’s blessing to marry him. Dimitri says he would hate to ever put her in the position of choosing between him and Leo. Dimitri acknowledges that this all happened very fast and asks Leo to avoid judgment to give him the opportunity to finally give Gwen the happiness that she deserves.

Chloe acknowledges that Xander has always been honest with her about Sarah. Xander says that Chloe has always been the same about Brady. Chloe states that’s why they have been taking things slow, but she wants to move on. Xander says he does too and he knows what’s going on between them is brand new but it feels right. Chloe says it does to her too. Chloe adds that she was just talking to Nicole about this. Chloe admits that Nicole wasn’t thrilled but she told her that she won’t talk her out of exploring things with him. Chloe adds that Nicole didn’t agree to back off, but they talked and she felt like it was acceptance. Chloe then brings up that Nicole asked if they have slept together. Chloe says she was vague as she doesn’t kiss and tell. Xander then kisses Chloe.

Tripp and Wendy continue kissing until they are interrupted by a knock at the door. Wendy answers the door to see Johnny.

Colin asks Sloan how she is a hypocrite, insisting that she can tell him anything. Sloan responds that she did something that might really hurt Eric. Colin guesses she was screwing around since she’s not a one man kind of girl. Sloan says with Eric, it’s different. Colin asks if she’s finally found someone she’s serious about. Sloan confirms that she loves Eric. Colin asks how bad what she did was. Sloan says it doesn’t matter but Colin urges her to confess to him on how she sinned against Eric. Sloan then reveals that Eric’s ex-wife Nicole is pregnant and the child could be his.

Eric knows Nicole thinks his relationship with Sloan is a bad idea. Nicole stops him and says he doesn’t owe her an explanation. Eric remarks that it seems like she needs one. Nicole says she was just thrown off guard when Sloan blurted out that they were trying to have a baby. Nicole wonders if Sloan was just trying to get a rise out of her, but Eric thinks that Sloan is just excited about the idea. Nicole asks if having a baby was Sloan’s idea. Eric says they came to it together. Eric admits that Sloan saw how disappointed he was when he found out Nicole’s baby was EJ’s. Nicole knows Eric has always wanted to be a father but she wasn’t sure since they both know how complicated this would’ve been. Eric knows somehow they would have made it work, so he admits that part of him was hoping her baby was his. Nicole then gets a sudden stomach pain.

Sloan explains to Colin that she swabbed her own cheek and that’s what the lab got sent so neither Eric or EJ were actually tested. Colin encourages that she got what she wanted and Eric is free to be with her but Sloan says she feels terrible about it. Colin points out that she doesn’t feel terrible enough to tell the truth. Sloan talks about everyone she’s lost, her parents and now Colin going away to prison, so she was terrified of losing Eric to Nicole. Sloan says Eric has always wanted to be a father and he has decades of history with Nicole. Colin feels she was leveling the playing field and that she did what she had to do to hold on to someone she loves and there’s no shame in that. Sloan feels there is shame in deception. Sloan encourages her to let it go and enjoy the victory because after everything they’ve been through, she deserves a win. Sloan tells Colin that she wants to make up for what she did by giving Eric a baby that they know for sure is his.

Nicole gets through her pain. Eric asks if she’s sure she’s okay. Nicole assures that the pain has passed. Eric asks if she wants to get checked out but Nicole declines and blames her lunch. Nicole then gets another pain so Eric says he’s going to find EJ. Nicole stops Eric and says he isn’t going to find him as he hasn’t been here for awhile which is why she was upset when he first came in. Eric asks where EJ is. Nicole responds that he went away on a last minute business trip and she hasn’t heard from him since. Eric questions EJ not calling. Nicole says it’s just been the occasional text. Eric asks where he is or when he’s coming back. Nicole says he hasn’t said. Eric questions what the hell EJ is up to and if he’s bailing out on her and the pregnancy. Nicole doesn’t want to talk about it. Nicole continues feeling pain, so Eric decides that he’s taking her to the hospital and walks her out of the mansion.

Leo brings up that Dimitri wanted his head on a spike not long ago, but now he wants his blessing to marry Gwen. Dimitri states that he was rightfully upset with him for costing him the emerald, but now things have changed and Gwen is the only treasure that matters to him. Gwen calls that awfully sweet. Dimitri asks Leo if they can put their differences behind them since he’s clearly very important to Gwen which makes him very important to him. Leo admits that he said all the right things even if it all rang hollow. Leo adds that maybe he is overly cynical and distrustful because of his parents. Leo reluctantly agrees to allow the marriage against his better judgment. Gwen mocks needing his permission and reminds them that she hasn’t given Dimitri an answer yet. Gwen jokes that now that Dimitri and Leo have made up, maybe they should ride off in to the sunset. Dimitri says he’s pretty sure he and Gwen are the better couple. Dimitri tells Gwen that he loves her but she doesn’t have to answer him right now. Dimitri notes that tonight, his mother is throwing an engagement party for Stefan and Gabi, so nothing would make him happier than having Gwen on his arm. Dimitri suggests maybe the happy occasion will inspire her to accept his ring.

Wendy tells Johnny that she thought he was staying with Chanel. Johnny says Paulina came home, so he left to give them some privacy. Tripp asks how Chanel is doing. Johnny says she’s not great as it’s a terrible loss for all of them. Wendy says she’s so sorry for what they are going through. Johnny hoped that he and Wendy could still go out for dinner or catch a movie. Wendy informs him that she already ate with Tripp. Johnny asks if he was interrupting something. Wendy admits that he was because when he called to cancel, she made plans with Tripp. Johnny guesses he should leave them to it then, but Tripp gets called in to work at the hospital. Tripp tells Wendy that he had a really great time tonight. Wendy says she did too and they kiss. Tripp suggests tomorrow they can pick up where they left off. Tripp then goes to get ready as Johnny wishes him luck. Johnny tells Wendy that it seems she’s available tonight after all and invites her for dessert.

Xander and Chloe continue kissing. Xander asks if she still wants to take things slow. Chloe responds that this feels right. Xander says he can see where this is going but he doesn’t want to rush her. Chloe asks if he wants to wait. Xander says not even a little bit and they continue kissing. Xander stops and takes his shirt off. Chloe asks why here and if he wants their first time to be on a couch. Xander admits he doesn’t and asks if she wants her bed or his as they continue kissing.

Gwen accepts Dimitri’s invitation to the engagement party and says to put a pause on the proposal. Gwen hopes that doesn’t disappoint him. Dimitri says he can’t be disappointed as they will be together tonight. Dimitri adds that maybe sometime soon, they could be together every evening as he kisses her. Leo tells them to get a room as they continue kissing.

Johnny and Wendy have dessert in the town square.

Tripp works at the hospital as Eric brings Nicole in and says she needs a doctor right away. Nicole explains to Tripp that she’s 2 months pregnant, has a searing pain and a history of miscarriages so this is a high risk pregnancy. Tripp hurries them to an exam room.

Xander and Chloe continue kissing until they decide on going to her bedroom. Xander carries Chloe in as they continue kissing on to her bed and they undress each other then they have sex.

Leo repeats to Gwen that he just wants her to be happy. Gwen thanks him and promises to tell him if anything happens at the engagement party. Gwen goes to get dressed. Leo remarks to himself that he hopes this works out for Gwen because usually when a guy seems too good to be true, he’s no good.

Dimitri exits the Salem Inn and comes across Johnny and Wendy in the town square. Dimitri calls Johnny his favorite young cousin. Johnny introduces Dimitri as the cousin he just found out he had, to Wendy. Johnny points out that they are on a date and hoping for some alone time. Dimitri says he was just stopping by to see if he was coming to the party. Johnny questions what party that would be. Dimitri informs him of the engagement party that Megan is throwing for Stefan and Gabi at the Bistro. Johnny starts to say they have plans but Wendy says she would love a party. Wendy points out that it might be a little weird since she was almost Gabi’s sister-in-law but she really likes her and she’s glad that Gabi is marrying the man she loves. Johnny tells Dimitri that they will see him at the party then.

Colin questions if Sloan is trying to have a baby with Eric just to hold on to him and calls that desperate. Sloan argues that is not what she’s doing. Colin asks if she’s sure. Sloan responds that she loves Eric and feels guilty about costing him the chance to be a dad. Colin points out that she wasn’t sure the baby actually is Eric’s. Sloan agrees and says the point is that Eric desperately wants to be a father. Colin asks if she wants to be a mother. Sloan repeats that Colin is the only family she has left, so she wants her family to grow. Sloan adds that if her child has Eric as a father, they have a real chance at being happy. Colin decides he hopes it happens then and that Nicole’s baby isn’t Eric’s. Sloan responds that either way, she fixed it so that no one will ever know.

Tripp tells Nicole that her vitals all look good but they should get blood work and a sonogram to see what’s going on with the pregnancy. Tripp goes to find the OB on call and leaves the room as they thank him. Eric wonders if Tripp assumes he’s the father. Nicole says that doesn’t matter. Eric agrees and says he’s here for her and the baby. Nicole thanks Eric for being there as she doesn’t know what she would do if she was alone right now. Eric says she doesn’t need to worry about that.

Xander and Chloe kiss in bed after having sex. Chloe says so much for taking it slow. Xander assures that he has no regrets about what they just did. Chloe suggests they do it again as they continue kissing.

Johnny walks through the town square and calls Wendy, who says she just got home from work. Johnny asks if she has any plans tonight. Wendy says not so far, so Johnny invites her out to dinner as Tripp comes out from the shower.

Sloan goes to Eric’s apartment and says she just got out of court and the whole time, her mind kept wandering because she kept thinking about him. Sloan kisses Eric and adds that she was thinking about how she can’t wait to make him a father as they continue kissing.

At the DiMera Mansion, Nicole calls the office to find out if EJ has called or said when he would be back. Chloe then arrives and greets Nicole, who calls it a nice surprise. Chloe asks about her appointment with the specialist. Nicole says it went pretty well and the doctor thinks she can carry the baby to term. Chloe calls that great news and says she’s sure Nicole and EJ are thrilled. Nicole says she is, but she’s not sure about EJ which Chloe questions. Nicole explains that she hasn’t talked to EJ for days and it’s like he’s fallen off the face of the earth.

Dimitri walks past the Brady Pub, calling Megan and leaving a message that it’s a little odd that she had been nagging him about getting a wife for the past month and now she’s not answering his calls or calling him back to hear what she wants. Dimitri reveals that he asked Gwen to marry him and she hasn’t accepted yet, but he’s very confident that she will. Xander comes out from the Pub and overhears him.

Leo goes home to he and Gwen’s room with flowers that Dimitri sent to Gwen with a note that he’s anxiously awaiting the answer to his proposal. Leo blows off the idea that Gwen would consider marrying Dimitri but Gwen reveals that she is considering it.

Dimitri finishes his message to Megan to call him back as he hangs up. Xander approaches him and introduces himself. Dimitri says he’s never heard of him. Xander reveals that he co-owns the Spectator with Gwen and he couldn’t help but overhear his phone call. Dimitri remarks that he listened in on a private phone call. Xander says he only caught the end where he said he asked Gwen to marry him.

Leo questions Gwen considering marrying Dimitri when she barely knows him and slept with him once. Leo asks why she would even think about it.

Wendy tells Johnny that she would love to have dinner with him but she does need time to get ready. Johnny agrees to pick her up in one hour and hangs up. Chanel then walks through the town square crying, so Johnny asks her what’s wrong. Chanel informs him that Abe is dead.

Xander questions Dimitri asking Gwen to marry him when he just met her and she only interviewed him once. Dimitri says it was an in depth interview. Dimitri comments that Xander seems more interested in his affairs than his own mother. Xander responds that he doesn’t give a damn about him or his affairs as it’s Gwen that he’s worried about. Dimitri questions why Xander cares who Gwen marries.

Gwen doesn’t understand why it’s so crazy to want to marry an attractive man who finds her interesting and wants to spend time with her. Leo argues that all applies to himself but he doesn’t think she should marry him. Gwen talks about needing to get over Xander. Leo argues that it’s one thing to have a rebound but she can’t have a rebound marriage. Gwen argues that it’s not a rebound and she took so long to get over Xander because she’s been waiting for the right man to come along. Leo questions thinking Dimitri is the right guy. Gwen says he might be and he ticks all the boxes. Gwen adds that he’s so romantic and it’s really nice to be the one pursued. Gwen talks about always thinking something was wrong with her after the way she grew up and Dimitri understands that but still wants her anyway. Leo gets wanting that connection but he also gets how painful it is when you find out it was all just an illusion. Gwen asks what he’s saying. Leo repeats that Dimitri is playing her and asks why she can’t see that.

Chloe asks Nicole about EJ disappearing on a mysterious business trip and not hearing from him since. Nicole says she got a few texts saying the trip went longer than expected but he couldn’t go in to detail. Chloe argues that Nicole is having EJ’s baby so he needs to call to see how she’s doing. Nicole agrees but says something is off because EJ was so excited about the baby and was concerned about her, but now he couldn’t be bothered to go to the appointment or to call to see how it went. Chloe tells her that she’s sorry. Nicole states that she just wanted a better father for her baby.

Sloan and Eric lay in bed after having sex. Sloan asks if he thinks they made a baby. Eric responds that if they didn’t, it wasn’t for lack of trying. Sloan jokes that they can always try again as they kiss. Eric comments on her really wanting this. Sloan thinks back to faking Eric’s paternity test. Sloan tells Eric that she knows how bad he wants it and how important it is to him. Eric tells her that having a baby and raising a child is a big commitment for a lifetime, so he hopes she’s not just doing it for him. Sloan assures that she wants it for herself too and they kiss.

Wendy tells Tripp that she didn’t hear him come in. Tripp says he didn’t want to interrupt her on the phone and guesses it was Johnny as it sounded like they were making a date. Wendy confirms that Johnny asked her out to dinner. Tripp says he beat him to the punch as he was going to make her dinner when she got home but that’s what he gets for showering first. Tripp adds that if Johnny is picking her up in an hour, that gives them plenty of time for their date.

Johnny asks Chanel what happened. Chanel explains that she called Eli for an update and he told her that they found blood on the docks and Abe’s hospital bracelet, so now he’s on his way to go tell Lani. Chanel notes that they didn’t find a body but there was a witness who said they saw Abe go in to the water. Chanel cries that they haven’t found him but they think he drowned. Johnny hugs Chanel as she cries. They sit down on the bench in the square as Chanel cries that it just doesn’t seem real. Johnny says Abe was a great guy who didn’t deserve this. Chanel says she should get going because Eli said Jada and Rafe were on their way to tell Paulina, so she should be there so that Paulina’s not alone. Johnny asks if she’s sure she’s okay to drive. Chanel responds that she has to be there for her mom. Johnny then offers to take her there so they walk off together.

Sloan tells Eric that she meant what she said before that both her parents are dead and Colin’s in jail for a long time while she has no cousins, uncles, or aunts, so she has no extended family. Sloan says if she wants to be surrounded by family, she has to create that for herself. Eric jokes that he has a big family and they drive him crazy, but he can’t imagine life without them. Sloan acknowledges that her family was messed up but she thinks raising a baby with him would give her a chance to move past all that and make up for the mistakes her family made. Sloan feels it would be a chance at redemption as if she could be a good mom then maybe she could be a good person.

Nicole tells Chloe that maybe she’s being too hard on EJ. Chloe questions EJ not going to the appointment that he arranged. Nicole feels he had a good reason since the company means a lot to him. Nicole adds that she knew exactly who EJ was when they got back together since she was married to him twice, so she has accepted him, flaws and all. Chloe says that Nicole should accept the fact that she’s done the same with Xander then.

Xander tells Dimitri that he cares who Gwen marries because they used to be involved and almost got married but it didn’t work out. Dimitri says Xander’s loss is his gain. Dimitri then recognizes Xander’s name and says that Gwen did tell him all about how he hurt her and now how she’s doing everything in her power to move on from him.

Gwen questions Leo thinking that Dimitri is playing her. Leo argues that he’s been saying that all along and asks why this is news to her or surprising to her. Gwen admits it’s not a surprise as she knows he hasn’t trusted Dimitri but says the relationship has changed. Gwen asks how marrying her would earn him any respect when she’s an ex-con who has screwed over half the people she knows and has no money, so she questions how Dimitri would benefit from marrying her.

Wendy asks Tripp how they can have a date. Tripp says that Johnny isn’t picking her up for an hour. Wendy says she still needs to get ready. Tripp says it will have to be a quick date then and bets that he can show her a better time in 45 minutes than Johnny could over a three course meal. Wendy tells him that he’s on and goes to get ready.

Nicole questions what her dating EJ has to do with Chloe dating Xander. Chloe says if Nicole is okay with all the things that EJ has done, she thinks she should lighten up on Xander. Nicole argues that Xander kidnapped her and Holly and Bonnie and Susan as well as leaving Chloe with a drug lord in Mexico. Chloe brings up that EJ kidnapped Sydney, so they could spend the whole night going over EJ and Xander’s crimes but she thinks they should stay off that topic and refrain from commenting on each others’ person of interest. Nicole questions if that means Xander is likely to remain Chloe’s person of interest. Chloe says possibly. Nicole asks how serious it is. Chloe thinks she just wants to know if she slept with him. Chloe admits she hasn’t yet. Nicole bets that she’s going to.

Xander tells Dimitri that he and Gwen had a complicated relationship that was complicated by her lying, cheating, and feeding his fiancée psychosis inducing drugs that sent her to a mental institution. Dimitri questions Xander being in a relationship with Gwen while also being engaged. Xander repeats that it was very complicated. Dimitri says it’s over now and the fact that he still works for Gwen doesn’t change the fact that he has no right to anything in her personal life. Xander says that’s not his call. Dimitri warns that he doesn’t like people interfering with his personal life. Xander warns him back about people hurting people that he cares about.

Leo tells Gwen that Dimitri must want something. Leo argues that he’s trying to protect her from being a jilted bride again. Leo remembers how he married Darius because he needed a green card and suggests maybe Dimitri needs one too. Gwen assures that Dimitri is in the country legally. Leo suggests maybe his VISA is about to expire. Gwen argues that maybe he does love her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her.

Eric asks what Sloan is thinking. Sloan says she’s starving so Eric suggests they go downstairs to get dinner at the Pub. Sloan suggests he first call Marlena, reminding him that she suggested having dinner with Marlena and John so he can invite them and share the good news that they are trying to have a baby. Eric doesn’t think they should do that on the first dinner and suggests easing them in to it. Sloan agrees but Eric says he will call Marlena to ask if she and John are available for dinner tonight. Eric then calls Marlena and says that he and Sloan wanted to know if she and John would join them for dinner tonight. Eric then asks her what happened with Abe.

Johnny brings Chanel home but Paulina’s not there. Chanel mentions that Eli said Jada and Rafe were on their way to tell her so she worries about if Paulina knows. Chanel then gets a call from Jada. They talk and Chanel thanks her for letting her know and then hangs up. Chanel informs Johnny that when they told Paulina, she insisted on going down to the docks so they are there with her now. Johnny offers to drive her there but Chanel says that Jada told her to stay home so that when Paulina comes home, she’s not alone. Jada tells Johnny that he doesn’t have to stay as she’s sure he already has plans so it’s okay. Johnny responds that it’s not and declares that he’s going to stay here until Paulina gets back.

Wendy comes back from her room and Tripp shows up at the door with flowers to ask if she’s ready for their date. Tripp and Wendy play Jenga and drink a shot.

Leo tells Gwen that it is possible that Dimitri loves her but it’s just not likely. Gwen calls him cynical. Leo argues that he’s just protective of his best friend and as someone who knows about cons, he can spot one a mile away. Leo bets that Dimitri is up to something.

Dimitri asks if Xander is threatening him. Xander calls it a promise. Dimitri asks if he’s going to write a nasty article about him. Xander states that Dimitri hasn’t been in town long enough to know about his past careers. Dimitri responds that he’s had a few past careers himself. Xander hopes that experience serves him well because if he does anything to hurt Gwen, the Spectator will be the least of his worries. Xander then walks away.

Chloe tells Nicole that she doesn’t know what’s going to happen between her and Xander as they haven’t been together that long and sleeping together would be a big step. Nicole jokes that they already share an apartment but agrees that whatever they do is their business. Chloe says she has to go since Xander is picking up dinner from the Pub. Chloe tells Nicole that she loves her and she hopes EJ comes home soon. Nicole admits she’s been a little lonely lately. Chloe says she’s always there for her as they hug.

Eric thanks Marlena for letting him know and says he’s sorry too as they hang up. Sloan asks what happened. Eric informs her that someone saw Abe Carver fall off the docks this afternoon, so they are sending divers in and presuming he’s dead. Sloan tells Eric that she’s so sorry and asks if he’s just been wandering around this whole time. Eric admits he’s not sure and asks why. Sloan wonders what it means for Colin since when Abe went missing, she first thought that Colin killed him, but this all happened while Colin was in jail then this could be good news for him. Sloan then quickly apologizes for being insensitive and acknowledges how much Abe meant to Eric and his family. Eric understands Sloan loves her brother. Eric then brings up Nicole and how Abe was like a father to her. Sloan says she had no idea. Eric knows Nicole will take the news really hard when she finds out. Sloan suggests Eric go see Nicole. Eric questions Sloan wanting him to do that. Sloan acknowledges that Nicole is going to need a friend. Eric calls that very kind of her and jokes that she shouldn’t let it get around that she’s a good person as he hugs her.

Wendy acknowledges that Tripp packed a whole date in to 45 minutes. Tripp is glad she enjoyed it but says it’s not over yet as they can’t leave out the kiss goodnight. They go to kiss but Wendy gets a call from Johnny. Wendy asks if he’s on his way. Johnny says no as he ran in to Chanel and she just found out that Abe is dead which shocks Wendy. Johnny explains that Chanel was so upset and he didn’t want her to drive so he’s at Paulina’s apartment. Johnny doesn’t think he can leave Chanel alone. Wendy says of course not. Johnny adds that he’s not sure when he will be able to come over. Wendy tells him not to worry about it and they’ll do it some other night. Johnny insists he’ll be there but Wendy says no as she can’t imagine how Chanel must be feeling, so he needs to be there and he can’t just run out when Paulina gets there. Johnny agrees that he can’t and tells Wendy that he’s really sorry. Wendy says she’s just really glad that he was there when Chanel needed him. Johnny thanks her for being so understanding and says he will call her later as they hang up. Chanel asks Johnny if he and Wendy had plans for the night.

Wendy informs Tripp about Abe. Tripp can’t believe it as Abe was one of Steve’s best friends. Wendy says it seems a lot of people loved Abe. Tripp brings up that Chanel had lost her own father, so Abe was the only father she had left.

Chanel tells Johnny that it’s so good of him to be there for her but he doesn’t have to stay. Johnny tells her not to worry about him as he’s happy to stay for as long as she needs him. Johnny assures there is no way he’s leaving her. Chanel hugs a framed photo of her and Abe.

Chloe goes home where Xander has dinner from the Pub. Chloe notices his mood and asks if everything is okay as he seems a little distracted. Xander tells her that he had a weird run in outside of the Pub with Dimitri and it looks like he and Gwen are getting married.

Gwen tells Leo to just keep his doubts to himself and wish her the best. Leo continues to argue against Gwen marrying Dimitri. Dimitri then shows up at the door. Gwen tries to get Leo to leave but he refuses. Dimitri says he’s learned to ignore Leo. Leo continues to argue with Dimitri. Gwen asks what brings him by. Dimitri says he was wondering, now that she had time to think about it, if she would do him the great honor of being his wife.

Sloan wonders if she and Eric made a baby, so she doesn’t have to feel guilty about what she did to his paternity test. Sloan then tells herself that maybe there’s no reason to feel guilty and maybe EJ is the father of Nicole’s baby after all.

Nicole starts trying to put together a text to EJ but throws her phone in frustration. Nicole declares that if the father of her baby does not walk through the door in the next five minutes, she’s going to scream. Eric then walks through the door.

Li brings Dr. Rolf to his lab and asks him how long it will take him to get up and running. Dr. Rolf says no time at all if he gets him the supplies he needs. Li assures that he will have top shelf equipment. Dr. Rolf notes that one vital component of his project is missing and that’s the subject that he wants him to work on. Li tells him to be patient as Harris will arrive very soon.

Megan walks through the park and runs in to Harris Michaels. Megan questions if he’s following her. Harris pulls a gun on her and declares that they have unfinished business. Megan asks if he wants her to cry and plead for her life. Megan states that she’s been expecting him as he specializes in gunning down the defenseless, bringing up the people he killed. Megan asks what he’s waiting for.

Theo goes to see Paulina, who asks if he has news. Theo informs her that a call just came in to the police station and Eli took off in a hurry with Rafe. Theo thinks it’s a lead to tie Whitley in to what happened to Abe.

Eli and Rafe inspect the pier. Eli says he doesn’t see anything while Rafe says they have to keep looking because right now, all they have is Jerry’s word.

Whitley tells Abe that she knows his visit with “Theo” was a bit stressful, so she suggests they just sit down and watch Body and Soul. Abe jokes that it’s hard for him to keep up with who is lying to who on the show. Whitley thinks back to her instructions to Jerry. Abe calls out to her and notes that she looks a million miles away.

Eli asks Jerry if he got a good look at the guy before he went in to the water. Jerry says it all happened so fast. Rafe tells him to do his best to describe him. Jerry says he was his height but older. Rafe shows him a photo of Abe and says that is who they are looking for. Jerry claims that it was him.

Harris tells Megan to calm down as nobody is getting shot. Harris points out that he only pulled the trigger on somebody that was unarmed was when Megan was messing with his head. Harris declares that Megan’s days of making people do what she wants are over. Harris says she is going somewhere to discover new levels of misery every single day. Megan asks why Harris is doing this. Harris says it’s to stop the insanity and to stop her from doing whatever she’s planning to Bo, Hope, or Kate. Megan says it’s funny that he should mention Kate and questions what her role is in this little stunt of his.

Kate tells Jada that she won’t pressure her in to sharing about her and Rafe, but she saw her face when she guessed that they were upstairs together. Kate brings up that a few hours earlier, Jada was sharing how she felt about Rafe. Jada mentions the rules in place to stop her from acting on those feelings. Kate says rules are meant to be broken and encourages her to share, joking that she won’t give up. Jada then explains that Rafe came over to give her some good news about her sister which was a huge relief. Jada admits one thing led to another but that’s all she’s going to say. Kate says she’s very happy for both of them and she hopes it works out for them. Kate asks where Jada is now. Jada says he had to go look for Abe and try to figure out what happened to him.

Rafe tells Eli that he’s not sure about Jerry as he seems a little nervous to him. Rafe still wants a dive team and forensics all over this. Eli tells Rafe to do what he needs but declares that he’s going in. Eli removes his shirt as Rafe argues that he can’t go in without scuba gear and proper equipment. Eli declares that if this was Abe, he needs to see for himself and dives in to the water against Rafe’s wishes.

Whitley claims to Abe that she was just thinking about how happy she is that his test results were so good. Whitley then plays the tape of Body and Soul but Abe decides he doesn’t want to watch the show. Abe points out that it’s a beautiful day outside and he wants to go to the park. Whitley argues that it’s hot outside and he just got out of the hospital so he’s nowhere near ready. Abe feels they can sit on a bench in the park, insisting that he’s up to that. Abe brings up how great she said his test results were. Abe asks her to help him get dressed so they can go out and see what he’s been missing.

Paulina asks Theo if maybe someone recognized Abe and that Rafe and Eli are on their way to finding him and bringing him back. Paulina exclaims that it would be great but decides she’s not getting her hopes up again as she can’t handle that. Theo sits her down and says he knows what she means, but hope is all they have, so until someone he trusts tells him that he will never see his dad again, he’s going to believe they will find him. Theo brings up when he got shot and went in a coma and no one knew if he would regain consciousness, but Kate told him that Abe never stopped believing he would come out of it and maybe that’s why he pulled through. Theo says maybe that’s exactly what Abe needs from them now, to never lose hope.

Eli comes out from the water and says he couldn’t see anything. Rafe suggests waiting for the divers. Eli argues that a man like Abe doesn’t just randomly hit his head and disappear. Rafe questions what Abe would be doing down here and how he got away from whoever grabbed him. Eli goes back to Jerry and asks if he’s sure it was Abe. Jerry says he guesses maybe. Eli grabs him and questions what he means. Eli explains that Abe is his wife’s father. Rafe tells Eli to take it easy. Jerry claims he was sure and as soon as he saw Abe’s picture, he knew. Rafe thanks Jerry for the information and says he doesn’t have to stick around but not to leave town because they will want to speak to him again, so Jerry then leaves the pier. Rafe reminds Eli that all they have is Jerry’s word. Eli brings up the blood stain and Abe’s hospital bracelet. Rafe notes that forensics hasn’t tested the blood yet. Eli knows they will follow up the evidence but says they can’t kid themselves as they both know how this ends.

Li tells Dr. Rolf to expect a delivery soon. Dr. Rolf is impressed with his preparation but points out that he has twice failed to produce Harris Michaels. Dr. Rolf says he would hate to have risked coming back for nothing. Li assures him that it wasn’t for nothing as it’s being handled by Megan DiMera herself. Li then exits the lab.

Harris tells Megan to forget about Kate as he’s doing this alone because he wants to be the one to make sure she gets what she deserves. Megan assures that she feels threatened but she can’t help wondering why he’s doing this now and what nudged him in to. Megan remembers how ruthless Kate has always been, so she guesses that Kate wants her dead but Harris held out for delivering her to her own private Siberia. Harris calls this conversation a waste of time and says her boat is waiting. Megan warns that he should’ve listened to Kate but he’s too much of a boy scout and was only effective when she was giving him his marching orders. Megan adds that Kate isn’t here and it’s just them and his gun. Megan wonders what Harris would do if she were to suddenly turn and run for her life. Megan questions if he really has it in him to shoot her in the back. Megan tries to run but Harris grabs her. Harris says he’s not going to shoot her, but she’s not going anywhere except where he is taking her. Harris asks how she’s going to spend all that time all alone in the middle of nowhere.

Kate asks Jada to take her mind off Abe for awhile by telling her about her and Rafe. Jada says there isn’t much to tell since it just happened but assures there are no regrets and they definitely want to be together, though they have to keep it between them and behind closed doors. Jada thanks Kate for her advice and adds that she’s grateful to Eli too since he apparently had a conversation with Rafe after picking up on the energy between them and gave him similar advice. Jada then gets a text from Rafe and tells Kate that she has to get to the docks. Kate wonders if it’s about Abe. Jada notes that he didn’t give any details. Jada reminds Kate that she can’t tell anyone about her and Rafe. Kate says that her life is not an open book either and assures that she knows how important it is to have someone you can trust, especially with your secrets. Jada then exits the Pub.

Harris tells Megan that it’s time to go. Megan asks if she doesn’t get a teary goodbye with Kate. Harris then gets shot from behind by a dart.

Whitley tells Abe that she knows how impatient he is to get better but he can barely walk. Abe suggests that she can take him in his wheelchair. Whitley reminds him that a man tried to kill him and he’s still out there, so she would feel guilty if she put him in danger. Abe argues that they’d be in a public park in broad daylight. Abe declares that he won’t live in fear or be a prisoner in his own home. Jerry returns, so Whitley asks him to convince Abe that it’s not a good idea to go out yet. Jerry responds that he actually thinks that’s a great idea and says he will help Abe get dressed.

Paulina talks to Theo about how she’s been worrying about herself and her stress when it’s Abe who is suffering the most, being away from his loved ones and likely scared out of his mind. Paulina says she will have to keep herself strong for Abe until he gets home. Theo says they both will. Paulina asks more about the call that Eli and Rafe got.

Jada joins Rafe and Eli at the docks and asks if it’s about Abe. Rafe confirms that the 911 caller said he saw a guy fall in to the water with a blood stain and they found Abe’s hospital ID bracelet. Rafe adds that the witness said that Abe was the guy he saw. Jada hopes there’s still a chance. Rafe doesn’t want to tell Paulina about any of this since it’s all circumstantial evidence and one guy’s statement. Rafe states that if there’s a body in the water, the divers will find it. Eli tells Rafe that he’s going to take the blood sample to be compared against Abe’s DNA at the hospital. Rafe then gets a call from Paulina. Rafe decides he has to let it go to voicemail because he can’t let her know what’s going on yet. Jada encourages that he did the right thing so she does not panic. Jada asks when the call came in and hopes it’s not when they were together. Rafe knows what she’s thinking but says if they came sooner, it wouldn’t have changed anything. Rafe declares that they are here now and they have a job to do, even if they might not like what they find.

Paulina leaves a message for Rafe, saying she’s sorry to bother him again but when Theo told her that he had a lead, she had to call. Paulina asks Rafe to call her back if anything happens even if it doesn’t seem important. Paulina adds that she’s filled with hope that he is on the verge of finding Abe and bringing him home to her where he belongs. Theo tells her that she did great and hugs her.

Jerry sends Abe to pick out a shirt and then returns to Whitley, who questions what he’s doing when she told him to back her up. Whitley reminds him that she hired him to make people think Abe is dead. Jerry says he did everything like she said and it’s going exactly like she wants it to so far, as the cops think Abe fell of the pier and drowned and they are using the evidence that he planted to prove it. Whitley asks what he means by “so far”. Jerry explains that when he left, they were calling in divers, crime scene investigators, and pouring everything they had in to it. Jerry adds that when he signed up for this, he thought it was an acting job to help a sick man but it somehow morphed in to a weird nightmare where he faked the mayor’s death and now he’s the one on the line with the cops. Jerry thinks that calls for a big raise. Whitley argues that she already paid him everything she’s got. Jerry warns that she better come up with something because if he doesn’t get the money that he wants, he’s going straight to the police station and blowing up her world.

Megan remarks that Harris should have shuffled her off when he had the chance. Harris responds that this changes nothing as he staggers from the dart. Megan asks if he’s wondering how this happened. Megan then reveals the tracking device that Harris put on her car and says he thought that he had her when the truth is, she had him the whole time. Harris says she’s not going to get away with it. Harris tries to aim his gun at her but he collapses to the ground. Li then arrives. Megan complains that Li didn’t put enough in, because he nearly killed her.

Kate remains in the Pub, complaining that she should’ve had an update from Harris by now. Kate wonders what’s taking so long and texts Harris that she’s waiting to hear some good news.

Megan questions what took Li so long as Harris was about to take her away. Li explains that he had to get Dr. Rolf settled in and answer his questions because he doesn’t have a lot of confidence in their ability to get Harris to him. They hear Harris’ phone go off, so Li retrieves his phone from his pocket. Li sees that his phone is locked. Li holds his eyes open to unlock the phone with face recognition. Megan instructs Li to then disable that feature because next time they want to use his phone, Harris won’t be available. Li sees that the text was from Kate, asking for an update. Megan knew she was in on it. Megan says to forget about Kate for now because they have to get Harris out of here.

Whitley questions Jerry being a blackmailer now. Whitley then brings up Jerry’s grandmother and how she was able to get the medicine she couldn’t afford thanks to her. Jerry says he’s sorry but he’s afraid that the cops are going to try to pin this on him. Whitley warns that it will also be the FBI and he’s right that he’s the one that broke all the laws. Jerry argues that he did what she told him to do. Whitley asks who is going to believe him against her, but warns that the police have enough on him to send him away for a really long time.

Theo tells Paulina that Rafe is busy as she wonders if she should try again. Paulina agrees there is no point and that Rafe will call when he knows something. Paulina is glad Theo is there. Theo says it was driving him insane being half a world away as they need to be going through this together. Paulina states that he reminds her of Abe.

Rafe and Jada return to the police station. Rafe notes that he still hasn’t heard from Eli but then he gets a call from him. Eli is at the hospital and confirms that they still had Abe’s blood sample and it matched the blood found on the docks. Eli says that everything Jerry said was right and that Abe is gone. Rafe says he can’t believe this. Eli says he needs to go tell Lani in person because reporters will be there and it will be on the news, so he needs to tell her so that she doesn’t find out like that. Rafe understands and tells Eli to take off as he will handle it. Eli asks about Paulina and Theo because somebody has to tell them. Rafe states that he will tell them and tells Eli to take care as he hangs up. Rafe holds back tears as Jada hugs him.

Whitley brings Abe out in his wheelchair and says it’s time for their adventure but Jerry decides he’s changing his mind and realized that Whitley was right and he shouldn’t have agreed to take Abe out when there’s so many reasons for him to stay here. Abe complains about it not mattering that he really wants to go out. Whitley claims that she tried to get behind the idea but his son knows best.

Paulina decides she can’t take it anymore and she’s going to the police station to make somebody talk to her. Theo thought she was going to wait on Rafe’s call. Paulina argues that she can’t just sit and wait as she needs to hear something. Paulina opens the door to leave right as Rafe and Jada arrive. Paulina says she was just coming to see them and asks if Rafe got her message and if they found Abe. Jada asks if they can come in. Paulina says no and tries to shut the door. Paulina starts to panic as Rafe and Jada enter the apartment. Rafe tells Paulina that he’s so sorry as they didn’t find Abe but they found some remnants and a witness. Paulina breaks down crying.

Li returns to the park with Harris’ phone and gets a text from Kate, asking if she should be worried. Li texts back that the mission is accomplished. Kate remarks that she should’ve known she could count on Harris.

Harris wakes up strapped to a bed in Dr. Rolf’s lab with Megan watching over him. Harris struggles with the straps and questions what she’s trying to do. Megan responds that it’s the same thing he was going to do to her. Megan comments that she expected him to be down for a few more hours but he’s a strong one. Megan doubts that he’s strong enough to resist what Dr. Rolf has in store for him. Megan warns Harris that in a few short moments, he will be back under control. Harris shouts that he should’ve seen this coming. Harris warns that it won’t work this time. Megan tells Dr. Rolf that Harris doesn’t have any faith in his treatments. Megan tells Harris not to worry as she has enough faith for both of them.

At the DiMera Mansion, Megan calls Li and tells him about EJ and Kristen refusing the breakfast that she brought them. Li assumes that being held captive is not the most enjoyable pastime. Megan remarks that they can’t have two turncoats on the loose as they cast a shadow on her bright vision for the future. Megan asks if Li has good news for her. Li confirms that he does and he’ll be leaving soon as Dr. Rolf will be arriving any moment. Megan reminds Li to make sure that Dr. Rolf knows they expect him to brainwash Harris Michaels. Megan declares that once she has Harris under her control again, nothing can stop them.

Kate meets with Harris at the Brady Pub and says they have a lot to discuss. Harris first asks if there’s any news on Abe. Kate responds that they still have nothing. Kate remarks that Megan is still free to walk the streets while a good guy like Abe is nowhere to be found.

Abe gets a headache and thinks he needs to rest. Jerry offers to help Abe up but notes that he doesn’t seem very steady and asks if he has a cane to help him out. Abe then stops and has a flashback to a conversation with Theo about his walking cane before his wedding. Abe looks confused as Jerry asks if something is wrong. Abe then declares that he’s not his son.

At the police station, Eli finishes a phone call and tells Theo to give him three minutes and he’ll come back to talk to him. Theo stops him and asks why he’s questioning Nurse Whitley about Abe. Eli explains that when he reviewed the case file, he saw that Whitley left the hospital early and he wanted to know why and she said she wasn’t feeling well. Theo asks if he believes her.

Whitley waits in the interrogation room and says with the FBI breathing down her neck, she has no choice as she declares that Abe is going to have to die.

Rafe goes to Jada’s and knocks on the door, saying she has some good news. Jada then answers the door in a towel. Rafe apologizes and says he tried calling but she didn’t pick up. Jada says she was in the shower so she’s lucky that she heard him knock.

Jerry thinks back to Whitley instructing him to improvise in his acting as Theo. Jerry tries telling Abe that it’s just his amnesia talking and insists that he is his son, Theo, but that Abe just isn’t really himself right now. Abe responds that he may not be 100% but he just now had a vivid memory of his wedding day where he was talking to his best man, his son and it wasn’t him. Jerry decides to go get him a glass of water. As he heads in to the kitchen, he texts Whitley about an emergency as Abe is saying he’s not his son.

Eli informs Theo that when a hospital employee is sick, the protocol is to leave immediately so she did the right thing but it got his attention because when Rafe questioned her, she didn’t mention it. Whitley then comes out from the interrogation room and tells Eli that she really must get home, so she asks if there’s anything else he needs from her today. Eli asks if everything is okay. Whitley repeats that her cat is sick and her neighbor has to leave, so she must get home to tend to him. Eli agrees to let her go and says if he needs anything, she will hear from him. Eli thanks her for coming in as Whitley hurries out of the police station. Theo comments on Whitley seeming super anxious.

Rafe tells Jada that he’s sorry but once he heard the news, he dropped everything and rushed over. Rafe explains that Belle came to the station looking for Jada as apparently Melinda agreed to cut some sort of deal so that Talia won’t be facing any jail time. Jada excitedly hugs Rafe and thanks him. Rafe and Jada then end up kissing.

Megan assures Li that everything is secure with EJ and Kristen, pointing out that she just sends texts from EJ’s phone to Nicole and Stefan while no one is looking for Kristen so she just put her phone in a drawer. Li repeats that he will be meeting with Dr. Rolf shortly. Megan tells Li to remind Dr. Rolf that time is of the essence, so whatever he needs, they will have it. Li brings up that there is something Dr. Rolf needs that they haven’t discussed and that’s Harris Michaels himself. Megan tells him not to worry as he’s within their grasp and then he will take out Stefan so that their hands are clean. Li declares that in her grief, Gabi will turn to him. Megan remarks that her little brother Stefan is in for quite a surprise. Stefan then walks in to the living room and questions that.

Rafe and Jada kiss until Rafe stops and apologizes, saying he shouldn’t have. Jada responds that if he hadn’t, she would have. Jada explains that she ran in to Kate downstairs and they were talking. Jada says that what Kate said really changed her perspective as she told her that what they do at work is one thing but what they do in the privacy of their own homes is nobody’s business. Jada thinks Kate is absolutely right.

Kate appreciates Harris’ concern for Abe but says they have other pressing things to talk about, like Shawn ruining his plan to grab Megan. Harris explains that Megan was armed and Shawn was drunk, so he had to get Shawn out of there as Megan could’ve killed him. Kate points out that Megan could still kill him since she’s free to create whatever chaos she wants to and she also knows that Harris is coming after her. Kate asks how they proceed now that he no longer has the element of surprise. Harris responds that he’s well aware of his situation and reveals that he already planned for his next encounter with Megan, before he even left the property.

Megan hangs up and tells Stefan that she didn’t hear him come in. Stefan questions what this big surprise is that she has in store for him. Megan responds that it’s a good surprise but Stefan is not comforted by that. Megan claims it has to do with the party that she’s planning to celebrate his engagement to Gabi. Stefan says she already told them about the party so it’s not a surprise. Megan notes that she didn’t say when it is and then suggests he not make plans for tomorrow night. Megan guesses now that he knows, she’ll have to figure out another surprise for him for tomorrow night.

Eli tells Theo that anyone would be anxious while being questioned by the FBI. Theo is uncertain and notes that she seemed super nervous when he talked to her earlier, like her hands were shaking. Theo asks what Whitley said about why she didn’t tell Rafe that she left early on the day that Abe disappeared. Eli says she just didn’t think it was important. Theo suggests maybe it was important and that’s why she didn’t say anything. Theo states that somebody took Abe from the hospital that day and Whitley is unaccounted for that day, so he hopes he’s not ruling her out.

Jerry brings Abe some water but he slaps it out of his hand and demands to know who the hell he is. Jerry continues claiming to be his son. Whitley then comes home and asks if they had fun catching up. Abe responds that they did not. Jerry tells her that there is a problem as Abe keeps saying he’s not who he says he is. Whitley insists that Jerry is Theo but Abe calls that a damn lie as he is not his son and he doesn’t even know him. Whitley offers to get him water but Abe shouts that he doesn’t want any. Abe wants the truth. Abe reiterates that he had a very clear memory of their wedding day and recalls his real son saying his best man had him covered. Abe calls Jerry an impostor and declares that now he’s starting to question everything.

Eli tells Theo that he’s not ruling anyone out just yet, including Whitley, but the issue is evidence. Theo asks about hospital security cameras. Eli says they checked and found nothing, but admits that Whitley would know where the cameras are and how to avoid them. Eli goes over her hospital record not having one negative word. Theo questions giving up on her because she’s a good nurse. Eli knows this is hard but promises that he’s not ruling anyone out just yet. Eli adds that he put in a request for a background check on Whitley. Eli suggests they go see what the FBI turned up. Eli promises that if Whitley is telling stories, it won’t hold up under FBI scrutiny. Eli and Theo then head in to the interrogation room.

Whitley tells Abe that he’s getting worked up over nothing and that there’s a simple explanation for everything. Abe argues that there is nothing simple. Whitley claims that Jerry is Theo and that Abe is remembering his other son, Brandon.

Jada tells Rafe that she would never do anything to jeopardize his career. Rafe says he was just thinking the same thing. Jada asks if Kate got to him too. Rafe explains that Eli had asked about them and guesses it was obvious. Rafe notes that Eli had been through a similar situation with Lani, although they were partners and he wasn’t her boss but they were meant to be. Rafe adds that even now, nothing can stop them as Eli is patiently waiting for Lani to get out. Rafe states that talking to Eli got him thinking that this doesn’t matter about a rule or a law as if it’s meant to be, then it will be. Jada asks if he’s saying they are meant to be. Rafe responds that he wants to find out as they kiss.

Li meets Dr. Rolf on the pier and welcomes him home. Dr. Rolf informs him that he came on Princess Gina’s submarine. Dr. Rolf talks about being wary of the authorities after deprogramming Stefan. Li comments on his skills in that department. Dr. Rolf says he can’t ask him to mess with Stefan’s brain again. Li says this isn’t about Stefan and reminds him of Harris Michaels. Li informs him that Megan needs Harris back under her control which Rolf laughs at.

Kate asks Harris how he’s prepared for his next encounter with Megan. Harris explains that after taking Shawn out of the house, he placed a tracking device on Megan’s car, so eventually she will come out and will be his.

Stefan apologizes to Megan for spoiling the surprises but guesses it’s just as well since EJ won’t be back from his business trip by tomorrow. She tells him he won’t have to worry about EJ crashing his party. Stefan notes that he would like to include Kristen though and asks if Megan has seen her. Stefan mentions that he looked in Kristen’s room, but her bed looked like it hadn’t been slept in. Stefan asks if she knows anything about where Kristen is. Megan says they can’t keep anything from him and that she’s afraid Kristen is indisposed tomorrow as well. Stefan questions how she knows. Megan claims that she saw Kristen leave, she said goodbye and left town last night. Stefan argues that ever since Kristen has been back, all she has wanted is custody of her daughter, and now she out of the blue books a vacation somewhere. Megan says she said she just left town but she hasn’t given up on her daughter. Megan says that DiMera has cannibalized all the competent lawyers in town, so she went to New York to find a custody lawyer to grind Brady in to the ground. Megan adds that she had quite a list, so she doesn’t expect her in back in the coming days or maybe weeks. Stefan questions if Kristen left last night, who the extra breakfast plate belongs to.

Dr. Rolf asks Li what Megan has up her sleeve this time since her last escapade was about an elixir for eternal youth. Li says all he knows is that she needs his special talent for her ambitious plan. Li asks if he’s up to the task of getting Harris Michaels back under Megan’s control. Dr. Rolf responds that this will be child’s play and he could do it in his sleep.

Rafe and Jada lay in bed together after having sex. They talk about it being better than imagined. Rafe asks now what. Jada wants this to keep happening for real which Rafe agrees with as they continue kissing.

Eli and Theo go over the background check on Whitley King but find nothing remarkable. Eli declares that he’s sorry but this isn’t the profile of a criminal. Eli knows Theo had his hopes up but remarks that upstanding citizens don’t just turn to crime for no reason and it looks like Whitley doesn’t have a reason.

Whitley asks Abe if that clears everything up. Abe says hell no and questions why the hell she didn’t tell him that he had another son and why she would keep that from him. Whitley knows she should’ve told him but claims he hasn’t seen Brandon since the wedding as he doesn’t approve and they had a falling out. Whitley hopes that clears everything up now. Abe guesses it does and apologizes to Jerry for being harsh on him before. Jerry claims he’s just worried about him and wants him to get better. Whitley suggests they get Jerry to the hotel to rest, so she walks him out. She tells Jerry that he’s so lucky that Abe has another son, complaining that she told him to improvise. Jerry argues that he tried. She tells him that they don’t have time to waste as there is something else she needs him to do for her. She instructs him to wait there as there’s something she has to go do first. Whitley then heads back inside with a syringe and tells Abe not to worry as it won’t take long. She claims she needs a blood sample from him for the hospital.

Rafe suggests to Jada that they never get out of bed and just leave the world behind but he knows they have jobs to do. Jada suggests at work, they are consummate professionals in the force, but behind closed doors, they are committed to each other. Rafe likes that option as they kiss. Jada reminds him they need to get back to work. Rafe says he does, but she has to get the rest that he ordered her to get as they continue kissing.

Whitley tells Abe that she will just run his blood sample down to the hospital. Abe offers to go with her but she insists that he stay and rest. Whitley assures that doing things her way will be best for all of them as she then exits. Whitley presents Jerry with Abe’s blood sample and says this is what she needs him to d.

Megan claims that before Stefan came in, her son Dimitri was there but he turned his nose up at the breakfast sausages. Stefan says that’s his loss then and eats some of it. Megan jokes that she’ll be sure to include them on the menu for his last meal as a bachelor then.

Dr. Rolf gives Li a list of the tools he will need. Li responds that they will make Harris available to him very soon.

Kate asks Harris if it’s too late to reconsider Megan’s fate, feeling that it doesn’t make any sense to make her disappear if she’s going to make her way back here. Harris gives her his word that once Megan is gone, she’s not coming back. Kate asks if that’s arrogance or confidence. Harris calls it experience. Harris then gets an alert from the tracking device that Megan is leaving the house as they speak, so he better get going. Kate wishes him luck but Harris responds that luck will have nothing to do with this as he exits the Pub.

A few hours later, Stefan returns to the living room while on the phone with Gabi and says he guesses Megan already left as he was going to ask if there’s a small chance that Kristen could appear at their engagement party. Stefan decides that he will call Kristen herself. Stefan hangs up and calls Kristen, but finds her phone in a drawer in the room. Stefan questions why the hell Kristen would go to New York without her phone.

Megan walks through the park and runs in to Harris Michaels. Megan questions if he’s following her. Harris pulls a gun on her and declares that they have unfinished business.

Kate remarks that Megan’s moments are numbered. Jada comes downstairs and comments on Kate talking to herself but she didn’t hear what she was saying. Kate claims that she was just bemoaning her son Rex rarely getting in touch with her. Kate asks about seeing Rafe leave earlier and asks if she took her advice.

Jerry meets Rafe and Eli at the pier. Rafe tells him to start from the beginning and tell them everything he saw.

Theo walks through the town square and calls Brandon, saying there’s still no news about Abe but he thinks Eli and Rafe got a lead as they rushed down to check it out without telling him much. Theo hopes they will finally get some answers.

Whitley returns home. Abe comments on her being gone a long time. She says that she wanted to wait for his test results and announces that he passed with flying colors.

Jerry claims to Rafe and Eli that he was walking and saw someone on the docks, looking totally out of it and then he stumbled, hit his head and fell in to the water. Jerry claims he can’t swim or else he would’ve jumped in after him and no one else was around. Rafe instructs him to stay there as they check this out. Eli finds fresh blood on the ground. Rafe then finds Abe’s hospital ID bracelet.
