Chloe was shocked to see Philip at her place. She thought he would be at Rex’s wedding. He said he was. She asked if Xander showed up at the pub. Philip said he did. Philip said he came over to check on her. He asked if she was okay. She said she wasn’t but she would be. She said she felt bad for telling Xander but he had a right to know the truth about the baby. She said she was sorry that he stopped the wedding. Philip said he didn’t stop the wedding. He said Rex and Sarah got married before Xander got there. She said she got off the phone with her mother and told her that she and Xander weren’t getting married. He asked her why she couldn’t still marry Xander. She said things changed. He said the baby complicated things, but they could still get married. She said it wasn’t going to happen. She told him about her conversation with Xander. He said he felt bad for her. He apologized for the pain she was feeling. She said deep down she knew he had unresolved feelings for Sarah. She said Philip understood that. He asked how much of his conversation with Rex did she hear. She said she heard him say he loved her. He said he never wanted her to know that because he didn’t want to come between her and Xander. He said he didn’t deserve to be happy after everything he did to her and Brady. She said she didn’t agree with him. She said he was mentally ill. He said he didn’t think she could ever love him again. She said her feelings for him came back when she saw him again. She said she couldn’t pretend her love for him didn’t exist. He asked if she still had feelings for him. He told her not to answer him. When she was ready to say something, he told her that wasn’t why he came there. She said she knew he changed. He said he should go. He said he would be there for her.

Xander asked Sarah how she could keep Victoria’s paternity from him. When she didn’t answer him, he said he was going to get his daughter. She stopped him from going after the baby. She told him to talk if he wanted to. She reminded him that they lied to Eric about Mackenzie. He said that was different. He said she wanted to do that so things wouldn’t be complicated but she did this out of spite. She said she didn’t. She said she did it so an innocent child wouldn’t grow up with a murderer as a father. He said he hated himself over what happened to Susan, but he wasn’t the one who killed her. He said Ava did. They talked about what happened. She said he got Susan killed. She said she couldn’t let her child grow up around that. He said she was trying to play God because she thought she was perfect. They got in an argument over him working for Ava and him teaming up with Gwen. He tried to defend himself, but she didn’t believe him or care about his reasons. He said he did what he had to do. She said she did the same thing. He asked if she thought Rex would be a better father than him. She said she did. He reminded her of the things Rex did to her. She said Rex has changed unlike him. She mentioned the other things he has done. She asked if he regretted what he has done. He said no matter what he has done, she didn’t have the right to keep his child from him. He asked if she knew that he wouldn’t hurt his daughter. Rex showed up before she could answer him. Xander told him to leave, but he wouldn’t do it. Xander said he couldn’t believe she chose Rex over him. She said it didn’t matter because they were married. Xander told them to enjoy their honeymoon while he got to know his daughter. Rex said that wasn’t going to happen. He said Xander didn’t have any claim on the baby. He said he and Sarah would fight him if he tried to get the baby. Xander said he was going to fight them. He said he was going to be a part of his child’s life. Rafe and Jada were outside of Harris and Ava’s hotel room. They talked about how helpful the clerk was. She said the clerk was impressed that they were working with Scotland Yard and the ISA. When they got the door open, it was empty. They searched the room. Jada found the fake passports. They thought Harris and Ava would come back for the passports. Rafe said they would be there when they did. He asked the clerk to call them when Harris and Ava came back. He called Tripp and told him Scotland Yard arrested Ava. Tripp asked if Rafe could do anything. Rafe said he couldn’t. Rafe said Ava and Harris running to London hurt their case. Tripp said they weren’t running. He said they were looking for Susan. He told Rafe that Ava got her memory back when Marlena hypnotized her. He said the visions led her to London. Rafe admitted that he lied about Ava getting arrested.

Philip asked Rex if he told Kate what was going on. Rex said he hasn’t because he felt guilty for lying to her. He told Philip he wasn’t Victoria’s father. He said Xander is the father. Chloe overheard Rex talking to Philip. She hid behind a flower cart and continued to listen to Rex. Rex told Philip what happened with Sarah and the baby. Philip said he understood why Sarah wouldn’t want Xander to know about the baby. Rex said Maggie, Justin and Bonnie are the only ones who know the truth. He said they have all agreed to keep it a secret. Philip said he would keep it a secret. Rex said he appreciated him keeping the secret since it could be his chance to get Chloe back. Philip said he wasn’t going down that road again. He said he has accepted that she is with Xander. Rex asked him to officiate his wedding. Philip left to get ordained. Rex left to get Sarah and the baby from the hospital. Xander went to see Sarah at the hospital. He wanted to check on her and the baby. She said they were both fine. She wanted to know why he was there. He said he had something to tell her. She said she had something to tell him too. She told him to go first. He told her he and Chloe were getting married. She congratulated him. He asked her what she wanted to tell him. She said she and Rex were getting married today. He said it might be too soon after having the baby. She said she would be fine. She said they were having a simple ceremony at the pub. He told her about his plans with Chloe. He said he hoped Parker would like him. She said he would make a great father.

Kate told Roman that Sarah had the baby. He wanted to go see the baby. She said she didn’t want to go to the hospital because Rex didn’t tell them about the baby. He said she was being petty. She said something weird was going on. He said Rex has been acting weird. He asked if she did something to make Rex upset. Philip came in and told them he found out about the baby. He said he ran into Rex and he was going to come there as soon as he picked up Sarah and the baby. He told them about Vivian’s job offer. Kate left to talk to Vivian. Rex and Sarah showed up at the pub. Rex told him why they didn’t say anything about the baby. Roman said he understood but Kate was mad at him. Alex went to see Vivian at Titan. She told him she was running things and wanted him to come back and be her number two. He told her to shove it. She said she didn’t understand. He told her he didn’t like her because of what she did to his family and Maggie. She said she didn’t know he was so close to Maggie. He said he was. He said he didn’t want any part of her causing Maggie pain. She said he reminded her of his mother. He was surprised that she knew his mother. She said Anjelica was cutthroat and he was just like that. He said Victor told him the same thing. He said he wasn’t a traitor so he wasn’t going to work with her. She said working at Basic Black was the same. He left. Kate showed up and ripped into Vivian. She told Vivian Philip wasn’t going to work with her. Vivian asked if she wanted the job. Kate said she would never work for her,. Chloe went home and found Xander packing. He thanked her for accepting him. She broke down and cried. She said she couldn’t marry him because of Sarah. She told him that he is Victoria’s father. Maggie and Justin were glad they found Victor’s will. She wanted Justin to read it since he is a lawyer. The will said Victor realized he was still married to Vivian. He said he was going to rectify it soon. He wanted to make sure Maggie was provided for in case he died before fixing it. He said he was going to remarry her. He left her half of his estate. Maggie and Justin couldn’t wait to see Vivian’s face. He was curious about the other half of the will. He read that Victor left personal effects to various family members. He read that Victor left everything including controlling interest in Titan to a son he has never acknowledged. He was doing this to make up for never acknowledging his son. He planned to tell him when he got back to Salem. The name of the son was in a note. They were shocked when they saw the note. The son turned out to be Alex.

EJ asked Wendy what she was doing with his phone. She lied to him and told him she was going to bring it to him. He said he didn’t believe her. He said she was looking for evidence that he tried to have Ava killed. She asked if she would have found any evidence. He said he left the phone there to trap her. He said Tripp put her up to snooping in his office. She said Tripp didn’t want her to do it. She told him she thought he sent the hitwoman after Ava. She said he didn’t need to do that because Susan was alive. She told him Ava remembered seeing Susan outside of the car before it exploded. He said he didn’t believe her. He asked how she knew what Ava remembered. He realized she must have seen Ava since she broke out of Bayview. He thought Wendy knew where Ava was. She said she didn’t know where Ava was. He ended up firing. When EJ went to the mansion, he told Johnny that he fired Wendy. He told Johnny that Wendy said Susan was alive, Johnny wondered if it could be true. EJ said he didn’t believe it. Rafe told Tripp he was going to charge him with aiding and abetting if he didn’t tell him the names on the passports. Tripp tried to brush Rafe off. When Rafe said he thought Wendy made the passports, Tripp said he did it. He said he learned how to do it by watching a YouTube video. Rafe said he didn’t believe him, He threatened to send Trask after Wendy. When Rafe was about to call Trask, Tripp told him to hang up the phone. Rafe hung up the phone. He said if Tripp told him where Ava and Harris were, he wouldn’t have to go after Wendy. Later on, Tripp and Wendy met at the hospital. She told him what happened with EJ. Tripp said he felt bad that she got fired. She said she told him the truth about Susan being alive, He said he understood why she told him. He told her about Rafe questioning him and what he said to him.

Jada asked Talia if she slept with Shawn. Talia tried to evade the question, but Jada kept pushing the issue. Talia admitted to sleeping with Shawn. Jada was appalled. She reminded Talia that everything was going well for her. Talia told her that Chanel dumped her for Johnny. Talia said she felt bad. She said she didn’t understand how she ended up sleeping with him. She told Jada what happened between her and Shawn. Jada asked if she thought about Belle. Talia said she wasn’t thinking about anything but feeling better. She beat herself up for what she did. She said she and Shawn knew they made a mistake. Jada comforted her and let her know that she was proud of her for being a doctor. When Talia left, Rafe showed up. He asked Jada if she wanted to go to London with him to find Ava and Harris. Belle asked Shawn where he slept last night. He said he slept in Jada and Talia’s room while they were working. Belle said she was glad he was safe, but she was worried when she didn’t hear from him. He apologized for worrying her, He also apologized for everything he said during their fight. He said he didn’t deserve her. She said they both made mistakes. She said they were going to get through this together. She didn’t want to let anything come between them. He said he wasn’t able to break the cycle he is in. She wanted to know where they would go from here. He admitted to having a problem and said it was too big for him to handle it alone. She was convinced that he was sincere. He said he would call Brady and go to a meeting with him. She said he was in Greece. He asked her to go to a meeting with him. She agreed to go.

Stefan and Gabi talk about taking over DiMera Enterprises with Dimitri and Megan’s shares. She wondered if they should try to get the Von Leuschner money as well. He said that would be going too far. She said she didn’t like it, but she agreed with him. She said once she had control over DiMera, they wouldn’t need Dimitri’s money. He sent Dimitri a text. He asked Dimitri about his decision. Kristen was shocked that Gwen knew about Leo and Dimitri. Gwen told her how she figured it out. She said she brushed off their interactions at first but everything fell into place in Iceland. She said she eavesdropped on Kristen and Dimitri when she was supposed to be packing. She said she knows about the inheritance. Kristen told her Dimitri and Leo are in love. She suggested that they team up and take Dimitri and Leo down. Gwen agreed to do it. Leo yelled at Dimitri for cheating on him with Gwen. He told Dimitri about his visit with Gwen. Dimitri said she was lying. He said they haven’t slept together since they have been back. He said he loved Leo. Leo said he loved him too. Dimitri told him Gabi and Stefan knew about them and are blackmailing him.

Leo asked Dimitri what he was going to do about Gabi and Stefan. Dimitri said he was going to kill them. Leo thought he was joking, but realized he wasn’t. He tried to talk Dimitri out of killing them. Dimitri said it was something he had to do. He reminded Leo about who he is. He said Leo didn’t have to have any part of it. He said he would take care of everything, Brady and Alex asked Konstantin about his visit with Victor. Konstantin didn’t give them that much information. He said Victor mentioned looking for a letter. Brady said he remembered Kayla finding old letters from Victor’s childhood home. Konstantin took them to the house, but when they found the box, it was empty. Theresa was shocked to find Shane at the door. He was shocked to see her. He couldn’t believe she followed Brady. She said she was there to help. He was able to see through her. She ended up telling the truth. He told her to move on from Brady and find someone who would appreciate her. She said she hoped Brady would see her for who she was now. She told Shane about her plan to use Alex. He told her she shouldn’t do that. He said if Brady couldn’t see how wonderful she was, he didn’t deserve her. She saw the briefcase he was carrying. She said she would buy him a nice one. He said it was recovered from Victor’s plane. He said it had legal documents and personal papers. He told her to give it to Brady and Alex. She told him she would give them the briefcase. When Shane left, she opened the case and went through it.

Harris and Joyce fought over the gun. The gun fell on the floor. Ava picked up the gun and shot Joyce. Harris checked on her and told Ava that she was still breathing. A security guard came in the room with a gun. He called for backup. Ava didn’t put her gun down. She told the guard that it was self-defense. The guard didn’t want to hear what she had to say. Harris told Ava to put her gun down. She said she couldn’t go to jail. She said she would shoot the guard if she had to go to jail. She said they wouldn’t believe that the shooting was self-defense. Harris continued to convince her to put the gun down. The guard put his gun down. Harris put the gun on the guard. He told the guard they were leaving. EJ texted Joyce to get an update. He was upset when he didn’t hear from her. Johnny came in and wondered what he was waiting for. EJ thought about his conversation with Joyce. He lied to Johnny, He said Gabi hit one of the cars. He said he was waiting to hear from the mechanic. He started yelling about Gabi. Johnny told him to calm down.

EJ and Johnny talked about the baby. EJ asked Johnny if he wanted to have kids with Chanel. EJ asked if Johnny took Nicole’s advice and told Chanel how he felt. Johnny said Talia interrupted them before he could tell her. EJ told him to fight for Chanel. Johnny was surprised that he wanted him to be with Chanel. EJ said he changed his mind. He said no matter how many flaws Chanel had, she was better than Ava. Johnny told him Ava was mentally unstable. EJ said he wanted her punished. They wanted to change the subject. When he stood up, she told him she was playing with him. They kissed each other. He said if she wanted the job it was hers. She said she didn’t want the job. She said they should go back to his house. He got a call about the shooting at Bayview. He told her about the shooting. They left the office to find out what’s going on. While Chanel and Talia were on a date, Kayla called and told her to come to the hospital. Talia thought she didn’t get the job. Chanel told her it might not have been. Talia went to the hospital. Kayla told her that she got the job. Rafe showed up, he put an APB out on Ava and Harris. Kayla told him what was going on with Joyce. She said the injury was bad so Joyce had to go to surgery. Rafe said he and Jada had to talk to her as soon as possible. Kayla said she would keep them updated. They found out Joyce didn’t work at Bayview. Jada noticed that Joyce had a burner phone. She said there was only one number on the phone, but it was blocked. They read the messages, but didn’t know they were from EJ. EJ got a notification that there was a shooting at Bayview. He thought Ava was dead. Johnny went to see Chanel. He said he was still in love with her. He said he couldn’t keep it quiet anymore. Talia showed up to tell her the good news. She was surprised to see Johnny. He said he had to go. Harris and Ava went to the park. She said she wasn’t going back to the police. He said he had another idea. She followed him. They went to a motel. He wondered who would have sent Joyce after her. Ava thought it was EJ.

Gabi showed up to Elliot’s room. She told him she wanted to enroll her daughter in his school. He said he wasn’t the one to handle those things. She said she wanted the name and number of the person she is supposed to call. She kept pressing him until she caught him in a lie. He admitted to who he really was and why he was there. Kristen was there when Gwen and Dimitri came home. Gwen told her she knew everything. Dimitri came up with a story to cover up what Gwen was saying. He said he and Kristen needed to have a strategy session regarding their DiMera stock. Gwen left to unpack so they could talk. Kristen told him why Elliot was there. Dimitri was worried about how he was going to convince Elliot that his marriage was real without Gwen wondering what was going on. Kristen left him so he could figure it out. Gwen came back and noticed that he was upset. He said he was upset because of business. He said he was going for a walk to clear his head.

Stefan played 20 Questions with Rachel. She told him Dimitri had a sleepover with someone. Kristen showed up before Rachel could tell him anything else. Kristen got Rachel away from Stefan. When Gabi came home, Stefan told her he almost had the information they needed. She told him not to worry because she found out everything from Elliot. Dimitri went to Leo’s room. He said he was concerned about Elliot and the codicil. Dimitri told him what was going on. They tried to come up with a plan. Dimitri said he could hire someone to pretend to be Gwen. He said he needed someone he could trust. Leo said he would do it. Chad and Stephanie were having breakfast when Alex showed up. He wanted to talk to Stephanie about handling a business deal. Chad asked if he was going to shut himself off and be alone. Alex said he planned on doing that. He told them he felt guilty about the way he left things with Victor and Maggie before Victor died. Chad told him the best way to make it up with Victor was to fix things with Maggie. Alex agreed to fix things.

He was upset with Chloe for considering Xander’s proposal. He told her Xander punched him. Chloe yelled at him for fighting about her when Victor was dead. Brady asked Belle about Shawn. She said he blamed himself for Victor’s death. She said he wished he were with Brady and Xander when they talked. She got a text and had to leave. She told him to stop harassing Chloe before she left. He told Chloe that he was jealous, He said Xander proposed to her because he couldn’t have Sarah. She said she and Xander were in love with other people when they got together. She said they fell in love despite their baggage. Eric found Shawn drinking. Eric offered his condolences about Victor. He said he didn’t understand why Belle wasn’t with Shawn. Shawn said it didn’t matter. Shawn said Victor’s death was his fault. Eric tried to tell him that it wasn’t true, but it didn’t work. Eric offered to take Shawn home, but Shawn didn’t want to go. They got into an argument when Belle showed up and stopped them. Eric left so they could talk. She told Shawn that she wasn’t leaving him alone to deal with everything.

Melinda went to see Sloan so she could pay her back for the favor she owed her. Sloan thought it was blackmail. Melinda told Sloan about Abe’s plan to appoint Paulina as mayor. Sloan thought Paulina would fire her for going after Chanel. She told Sloan that she had a plan, but she needed her help. Melinda said her plan was to after Li for shooting Stefan. She thought once he found out he was being investigated, he would hire Sloan as his lawyer. She said Sloan could give her the evidence from what she finds out from Li. Sloan said she wasn’t going along with the plan because she could lose her license or go to jail. Melinda tried to change her mind. When Sloan wouldn’t do it, Melinda threatened to tell Eric the truth about Nicole’s baby if she didn’t help her. Sloan told Melinda to leave. Sloan said she would tell Eric the truth herself so it couldn’t be held over her head. She thought they could work it out because she was pregnant with his child too. Melinda said she would lose Eric. Sloan wanted to do things her way. When Eric came home, Sloan told him she had to tell him something. Xander went to the Kiriakis mansion and found Sarah. He was shocked to find out that she was pregnant. He thought the baby was his. He couldn’t believe she didn’t tell him. She said the baby was Rex’s. He didn’t believe her, but she stuck to her story. She mentioned his relationship with Chloe. He told her he proposed to Chloe. When Xander left, Sarah called Rex and accepted his proposal. When Xander went home, Chloe accepted his proposal.

Rachel told Kristen that she saw Dimitri and Leo in bed together. Kristen told her that was a secret. She told Rachel not to tell anyone because there was a lot of money involved. Gabi heard some of the conversation. When Kristen went to check on Chad’s kids, Gabi confronted Rachel about the secret. Rachel was willing to play a game with Gabi. Their game was interrupted when Kristen came back. Gwen was shocked to see Dimitri in the hotel room with Leo. Leo lied and said he was there to see Madonna in concert. Gwen said they should all go to the concert. Dimitri said he didn’t want to go. He suggested she go with Leo. Leo said the concert was sold out and he only had one ticket. Leo left the room. John found Brady in Rachel’s room. They talked about how much Brady missed her. John said he understood. He comforted Brady. They ended up talking about Victor. Brady said he was going to check on Maggie. John said he would talk to Shane to see if there was any new information.

Chad went to Alex’s apartment. Alex tried to apologize to him, but Chad stopped him. Chad said he owed him the apology. He said he let jealousy get in the way. Stephanie showed up to talk to Alex. Chad left to pick up the kids. Alex told Stephanie about what was going on with Victor. She called her father to find out what was going on. Justin told Maggie about the plane being found. He and Brady tried to keep her hopes up by talking about Victor being resourceful. John showed up and said Victor’s body was found in the wreckage of the plane. It was confirmed that the body was Victor. Stephanie tells Alex the news about Victor. She hugged him. Maggie fell in Justin’s arms. John comforted Brady.

Justin said he didn’t know. He said Victor didn’t file a flight plan when he went to see Bo in case Megan was watching his travel trying to get to Bo. Shawn told Belle about his promotion. She was concerned about him being the new commissioner. He said the acting mayor didn’t give him a choice because he wasn’t going to let him be a detective again if he didn’t take the job. She said he would make a great commissioner. Rafe and Jada talked about Shawn being commissioner. He said he didn’t like it, but there was nothing he could do about it. He said he had to move on. She said she was more qualified for the job than Shawn. Rafe said she was right. They talked about her old job and what led her to come to Salem. She said she had to go to work for someone who was a drunk. Shawn and Belle were behind her.

John saw Brady packing up Rachel’s things so he could take her to the DiMera mansion. He told John about his frustrations over the judge granting Kristen joint custody. John told him about going on the run with Rachel. Brady denied taking her on the run. John said he had software that notified him anytime unusual activity went on in the apartment. Brady admitted to taking Rachel on the run. John tried to talk him out of it. Brady left the apartment. Kristen and EJ talked about their good news. Chad brought the kids over for a sleepover with Rachel. Chad and EJ talked to each other. Kristen took the kids so they could see the new room she set up. Chad thanked EJ for his advice about Alex. Chad told him that the advice worked. Kristen overheard them talking. She said the plan didn’t make sense. She warned Chad that it was going to blow up in his face. Chad ended up leaving. Maggie told her to put the grocery bag down so they could talk. When Sarah put the bag down, Maggie found out Sarah was pregnant. Maggie thought the baby was Rex’s until she realized it could be Xander’s. Maggie noticed the look on Sarah’s face. Maggie thought it was Xander’s baby and Sarah knows that it’s his. Sarah tried to tell her why she was keeping the baby a secret from Xander, but Maggie said it wasn’t a good idea. Sarah said he couldn’t know the truth. She asked Maggie not to tell him. Maggie agreed to keep the secret. She told Sarah that he has moved on with Chloe. Gwen knocked on Leo’s door. She wanted to come inside. Leo and Dimitri panicked. Gwen kept knocking on the door. Leo answered the door in a towel. He told her he was busy but she came in the room. She was surprised to see his bed being messy. He said that was why he didn’t want to let her in the room. She told him she wanted to tell him goodbye. They said they were going to miss each other. Gwen heard a noise in the bathroom and realized Leo wasn’t alone. She thought the man he was texting was in the bathroom. She said she wanted to meet him, but Leo didn’t want her to. He said the guy is married. He said he didn’t want his lover’s wife to find out. Chloe was shocked that Xander was proposing to her. She thought it had something to do with Gwen getting married. He said it didn’t. He said he saw Gwen and told her he was happy for her. He said he told Maggie that he has moved on when she told him Sarah was with Rex. Chloe told him she couldn’t marry him. She said it was too soon. She thought he was being reactionary. He tried to convince her to marry him. He said he was proposing to her because he loved her and wanted to have a life with her. She said she needed to think about it. Eric asked Sloan and Melinda what secret they were keeping from him. Melinda told him Sloan talked to the judge in Colin’s case without her present which wasn’t allowed, but Melinda wasn’t going to say anything. He thanked Melinda for her discretion. Sloan walked Melinda out. Sloan told her she wouldn’t say anything. When Sloan went back in the apartment, she saw Eric on his knees. He asked her to marry him. She accepted his proposal. Nicole told EJ that Eric was going to propose to Sloan. EJ proposed to Nicole. She thought he was proposing because Eric was proposing to Sloan. EJ pulled a ring out of the drawer. He said he was waiting for the right moment to propose to her. She accepted his proposal.

Chloe and Nicole met for breakfast. They ended up talking about Eric and Sloan. Chloe wondered why Nicole cared about Eric and Sloan when she was happy with EJ and having a baby with him. Melinda showed up to talk to Sloan. Melinda told Sloan about her conversation with Nicole. Melinda asked her about the genetic testing. When Nicole walked away from the table Eric showed up and talked to Chloe. She noticed that he went shopping. He asked her about the ring he got for Sloan. Chloe asked if he was going to propose to Sloan. When Nicole came back, she wasn’t happy about Eric proposing to Sloan. Maggie told Xander that she wanted him to make amends with Victor. She said Talia didn’t belong in prison. Talia asked if Chanel could buy her dinner. She said she missed Chanel and their friendship. Chanel said she missed Talia and agreed to go with her. Eric and Nicole ran into each other at the pub. He said Sloan told him the good news about the test results. He said he was happy for her and EJ. Nicole said she was confused as to how Sloan got her test results. He said Sloan didn’t tell him how she ended up with her test results. She asked him about the test results for his baby. He said the results weren’t in yet. Nicole said she didn’t understand how Sloan ended up with her test results if Sloan’s weren’t ready yet.

Sloan panicked over what she could do about Nicole’s test results. She felt she had no choice but to change the test results. She went to the lobby and heard Nicole ask the nurse for her test results. Sloan said she got the test results by mistake when she was looking for her own results. She said she opened it without looking at it. She gave Nicole the envelope. Nicole was happy when she found out her child didn’t have genetic issues. Eric told Roman and Kate about the baby. Roman wasn’t happy about it because he doesn’t like Sloan. He said he blamed her for what happened to Abe. He said he couldn’t get past it. He said he was happy he was going to be a grandfather again. Eric was upset about Roman’s reaction, but Kate tried to make things better between them. Sloan showed up. He said he was concerned about the health of their baby. She agreed to do the testing. EJ and Nicole got in an argument over their interaction with Eric and Sloan. EJ said she was jealous. She said she loved him. She said didn’t love Eric. She said she was thrilled to be having his baby. She said her only concern was Eric getting hurt. She said she didn’t trust her. They agreed they should be concerned with their baby.

Melinda thought Li was her date again. He was on a date with another woman named Connie. Melinda made sarcastic comments towards Connie. Li took Connie to another table so they could have their date. They talked and tried to get to know each other until Melinda’s date showed up. Her date turned out to be Alex. When Li and Melinda’s dates didn’t go well, she asked him if he wanted to share a drink with her. He agreed to do it. Gwen made the final plans for her wedding to Dimitri. Maggie walked in and wanted to know what they were talking about. They lied to her about what they were talking about, but she said she knew what they were keeping something from her. Bonnie asked if Rex told her. Maggie said she was confused because she thought they were talking about Justin being upset with her that Alex moved out. Justin said he wasn’t upset with her. He said he wasn’t avoiding her. Maggie said she was happy about that but she wanted to know what secret they were keeping that involved Rex. Bonnie said she found out Sarah was dating Rex again. She said Sarah swore her to secrecy. Maggie believed her and left. Bonnie called Sarah and told her to go along with the story. Sarah agreed to go along with it.

Stefan told Gabi about his truce with EJ. He also told her what happened with Dimitri and Kristen. She told him what she did with Li. Stefan was upset with her. Steve and John broke in Jerry’s apartment. They noticed the window open. Jerry was gone. They searched Jerry’s apartment. They didn’t find any clues as to where he was. Steve called Jada. She agreed to help them check the airport and bus station. John and Steve talked about the information they had. They thought it didn’t make sense that Jerry would have kidnapped Abe and then reported seeing him go in the water without demanding a ransom. They knew they weren’t going to get the answers they wanted without finding Jerry. They heard a noise. Jerry’s printer was going off. They noticed that the printer was jammed. They fixed the printer. They saw that he printed out bus schedules. They went to the bus station before he left. Belle went to the police station to talk to Jada about Rachel. They talked about Shawn and how he felt guilty about Rafe getting fired. Jada said she felt guilty too. She said the department needed Rafe with everything going on. Rafe showed up at Paulina’s to escort Lani back to prison. Paulina told him Lani wasn’t there. Rafe and Paulina went to the park to look for Lani, but they didn’t find her. Paulina was getting upset and yelled at Rafe for being distracted by his relationship with Jada and not finding Abe. Paulina had a panic attack. Rafe took her to the hospital.

Whitley gave Kayla her two-week notice. Kayla tried to talk her out of quitting. Kayla asked her about saying she needed to put herself first. Whitley didn’t acknowledge Kayla’s question. She said she needed to leave Salem to look out for herself. Kayla asked her to go to her office to do her paperwork. Whitley told her she had to go home and pack. She said she would handle everything online. Kayla went to examine Paulina. Kalya told her she was fine. She said she had too much to handle at once. She told Paulina to rest and was going to check her numbers. When Kayla left, Paulina apologized to Rafe. He accepted her apology. They talked about Lani. They were both concerned about her.  The prison called Rafe, but he let it go to voicemail. He called them back and told them Lani was with him. He said he would have her back that night. When he got off the phone, he told Paulina that he bought them time but they had to find her quickly. Brady ripped up the custody agreement. He told Kristen to tell him where Rachel was. Kristen told him he wasn’t in charge. He pulled out a gun and said he was in charge. They started arguing. He had her pinned against a chair. Rachel came in and told him to leave her mother alone. He put the gun down and told Rachel to wait by the door. He told Kristen that she went too far. He said he was going to tell Rachel every horrible thing she has done. Rachel came back in the room and told him she didn’t want to go. He picked her up and carried her out. Kristen called Belle and wanted her to come over. When Belle showed up, Kristen asked her to talk to Brady because he would listen to her. Kristen said it was best for Rachel. Belle told her actions had consequences and refused to help her. Brady brought Rachel home. Someone knocked on the door. He told her to go to her room. He put John’s gun back. He opened the door. It was Jada. He was happy to see her. He said he was right about Kristen having Rachel. He asked her to arrest Kristen. Jada said she was there to arrest him. She asked if he pulled a gun out on Kristen. He was upset that Kristen called the police on him after kidnapping Rachel. Rachel came out and said she was the one who called the police. Lani talked to Abe and told him who she was. She tried to convince him Whitley wasn’t his wife. He was confused by the drugs and still had amnesia. When she was about to get him out, Whitley showed up. They ended up arguing. Lani told Whitley that she was Abe’s daughter. She said she was taking him home. She told Whitley that she was crazy and would be going to prison. When Lani turned his chair, Whitley stabbed her with a syringe.

Kayla and Kate talked at the pub. Kayla told her that Marlena broke through Harris’ brainwashing. Kate was happy about it. She told Kayla that she wanted Harris to take care of Megan so she would be out of their lives. Kayla said she agreed with what she wanted to do to Megan. Kate was surprised she felt that way. Kate asked her not to tell Roman what she did. Kayla said Kate should tell him the truth. She said Roman would understand. Chanel was setting up her display for Sweet Bits. A man named Clint showed up to introduce himself. He said he is the deputy mayor. He said he was acting mayor now that Abe has died. While Chanel and Clint were talking, he insulted her and Paulina. He warned Chanel that he would make sure she never had a business again if something else goes wrong. Wendy told Tripp and Johnny that she made her decision. She asked Tripp if he could leave her alone with Johnny so they could talk. When Tripp left, Johnny assumed she picked him. She said he still had feelings for Chanel. She said that was part of the reason why she chose Tripp. She said it wasn’t the only reason. He said he was over Chanel but Wendy didn’t believe him. She said she was sure of her choice.

Jada went to Steve and Kayla’s place to offer her condolences over Abe’s death. They talked until Tripp showed up. She left them alone so they could talk. Tripp told Steve that Wendy chose Johnny and he wasn’t happy about it. Steve told him to fight for her if he wanted to be with her. Tripp left so he could fight for Wendy. He was happy when she told him she chose him. Johnny ran into  Chanel. He told her Wendy chose Tripp. Harris told Marlena that he felt like he was a danger to others. He said he was sure he needed to be committed. She said she didn’t think he did. She said he could commit himself if that was what he wanted. He said he wanted her to do it because he couldn’t commit himself without approval. She tried to convince him that he wasn’t a bad person. She decided to do what he wanted. When she left to do the paperwork, Kate showed up. He told her what he decided to do. She apologized for her role in what happened to him. He said it wasn’t her fault. Shawn and Rafe got in an argument over Shawn getting suspended. Shawn told him about sleeping with Jada. Rafe asked if she told him. Shawn said she didn’t exactly tell him. He said he overheard her talking to Kate about it. Rafe told him about listening to people’s private conversation. While they were talking, Clint overheard them. He wanted to ask his own questions. Shawn tried to apologize for what happened, but Rafe told him it was too late. Rafe told him he was suspended and had to turn in his badge and gun. Shawn went to the hospital. He ran into Marlena and told her what happened to him. He asked her for help. When Clint was finished talked to Jada, he said she admitted to having an affair with Rafe. Rafe said he didn’t have the authority to fire Jada. Clint said he wasn’t going to fire her. He said he had the authority to appoint the commissioner. He told Rafe he was fired.

They wanted her to help them so Megan could be punished for what she did. Marlena agreed to help them. She was able to get them to remember what happened. They remembered what Megan tried to erase. Kristen said she was going to the police station. EJ said he wanted to go to the hospital to confront Megan about what she did. Harris was handcuffed to a bed in the hospital. Kate came in to see him. She asked him what went wrong. She figured out that he was brainwashed again. She tried to convince him that he was brainwashed. She said he was a good man. She said he was under Megan’s mind control. He didn’t care what she had to say. He said he had to finish his mission. Later on, Marlena went to see him. He told her he needed her help.

Gwen was waiting in the lobby at the hospital while Dimitri was with Megan. Leo showed up to check on Gwen. He brought her a change of clothes. She said she already went home to change. He told her Dimitri was up to something with his mother. He said she shouldn’t trust Dimitri. She didn’t believe him. She wasn’t worried about his concerns. He said he was going to go back to the DiMera mansion to find evidence. He asked her not to accept Dimitri’s proposal until he was finished. EJ showed up at the hospital and saw Kate. They went to confront Megan. Gabi and Stefan confronted Li at the police station. Li said he was innocent and had nothing to do with what happened. He said he moved on from Gabi. He said Megan was behind the whole thing. Gabi told Stefan that she was going to confront Megan. He said he was going to confront Trask. When Kristen showed up at the police station and ran into Stefan. She told him what she remembered. Stefan told Li what Kristen remembered. Dimitri was by Megan’s side. She woke up. He was happy that she woke up. She realized she was handcuffed to the hospital bed. He said she was arrested for kidnapping EJ and Kristen. She said she had nothing to do with it. She said everything she did was to protect him. He told her about his progress with Gwen. Megan was happy that Gwen was there for him. She said she was happy that he would have his inheritance and a wife who loved him. Gwen showed up. Megan was happy to see her. Dimitri and Gwen went back to her room. She accepted his proposal. Leo was looking in a drawer at the DiMera mansion. Kristen showed up and asked what he was doing. When EJ and Kate went to see Megan, Megan was gone. Gabi was handcuffed to the bed.

Leo asked if it had something to do with Dimitri marrying Gwen. Kristen said that sounded familiar but she couldn’t remember. EJ said he was sure it had to do with someone else. Kristen said Leo found them a while ago and didn’t untie them. She told him to untie them. Nicole talked to Eric about EJ not being there for her. She told him she was fine. She said he should leave. They hugged each other. She was about to kiss him when they pulled away from each other. He reminded her that they are seeing other people. She apologized to him. She said she felt an old pull. She said she was feeling abandoned. He told her things would be different if the baby was his. She said he would have been the perfect father. She said she didn’t know if she would be able to forgive EJ for abandoning her. EJ and Kristen came out of the wine cellar. Harris pulled a gun out at Stefan and Gabi’s engagement party. He said he was there to eliminate Stefan. Gabi confronted Harris, but Stefan stopped her. Stefan told Harris that he didn’t know him. Harris said he was following orders. Gabi said EJ hired him. Harris said it was Li.

Li showed up at the Bistro. He assumed Stefan was dead. He imagined being there to protect Gabi. Rafe showed up and assumed Li was trying to crash the party. Li said he was heartbroken over what happened with Gabi. Rafe understood how he felt, but he wanted Li to leave. Wendy said her brother would never hire someone to kill Stefan. Stefan said he did pull the plug on him when he was in a coma. Wendy said that was different. She said it was a split second mistake. Johnny reminded them that he tried to get them to reconsider going to the party. Chad realized Harris was brainwashed which Li did before. Harris told everyone to shut up. He said he had orders from Li to kill Stefan. He said it was about that time. Chad and Stephanie tried to change Harris’ mind. Gabi said if he shot Stefan he would have to shoot her too. She said she couldn’t live without Stefan. Harris said he didn’t have a choice. Rafe came in with his gun. He told Harris to put down his weapon. When Harris turned to look at Rafe, Gabi jumped on his back. When Harris turned around his gun went off. EJ kissed Nicole. She wondered when he got back. He said he never left. He said Megan tied him and Kristen up in the wine cellar. He said he couldn’t remember why. He said he didn’t know why Leo was in the tunnels to find them. Nicole said she thought EJ abandoned her and the baby. He said she and the baby meant everything to him. She told him the doctor thought she could carry the baby to term. Megan had blood coming through her dress. Dimitri caught her when she fell. Gabi kicked Harris. When Rafe strained Harris, he found out what was going on with Li. Gabi went to Li’s apartment. She told him Harris came to the party with a gun to kill Stefan. Li pretended to be sympathetic. Stefan told him not to bury him yet. Rafe showed up to arrest Li for attempted murder.

She wanted to have a drink with him, but he couldn’t make it. Chad and Stephanie showed up. They wanted to check on her before they went to Megan’s party for Gabi and Stefan. Kate was suspicious that Megan would be having an engagement party while she’s on a secret location with Harris. Eric tried to assure Nicole that she would be fine. She was afraid that she was miscarrying again. He tried to comfort her, but she didn’t deserve his kindness. She thought she was being punished for what she did to Jada. Eric told her that God wouldn’t do that to her. He assured her that God cares about and will help her. The doctor examined her and told her that everything was fine. Gwen was getting ready for the party and got into it with Leo. He kept telling her about Dimitri’s motives for proposing. She thought Dimitri was being sincere. She thought Leo was jealous because he’s still single. He was hurt by that, but he thought she might be right. He thought Dimitri was up to something and planned to search the DiMera mansion while everyone was at the party.

Rolf finished the procedure on Harris. He gave Megan a serum to inject into EJ and Kristen. The serum would make them forget about her confession about her plans for Stefan and kidnapping them. Harris woke up so Rolf gave him the instructions he needed for the night. He sent him on his way. Rolf assured Li that everything will go according to the plan. EJ and Kristen yell for help, but no one hears them. Kristen thought Megan was going to kill them. EJ didn’t think she would do that. He thought she would have done it by now. Megan went down to the cellar to inject Kristen and EJ with the serum. Megan left them in the cellar. Leo showed up at the mansion and found EJ and Kristen in the cellar. Their memories started to fade away from them after he arrived in the cellar. Kate tried to call Harris’ phone, but he didn’t answer it. She decided to go to the Bistro to find out what’s going on with him. She was upset when she saw Megan in the town square. She realized that Harris didn’t complete their mission. Everyone gathered for Stefan and Gabi’s engagement party. Megan arrived with a bottle of champagne. She gave a speech about the family when Harris arrived. He pulled out a gun.

Eric lets Nicole know that he came to see her to let her know about Abe. Nicole hadn’t heard what happened. Eric told her that Abe died. Nicole was upset to find out that Abe died. He was like a father to her. Eric comforted her as she tried to deal with the news. She was thankful that he came over, but she wasn’t happy to learn that it was Sloan’s idea. They talked about his plans to have a baby with Sloan. Nicole has a pain and Eric got worried. He wanted to find EJ, but she told him that he was out of town. She didn’t know where he was or when he would be back. He thought EJ abandoned her and the baby. Nicole said he didn’t do that. She had another pain so he took her to the hospital. Sloan went to see Colin at the station. She told him about Abe’s death. He was happy to hear it. She couldn’t believe that he said that. He’s happy about anything that will give pain to Paulina and Chanel. She admitted that she’s a hypocrite. She said she did something recently. He wanted to know what she means. She told him that she gave Nicole her DNA instead of Eric’s for the paternity test. Sloan told him that Nicole’s baby could still be Eric’s, but she wasn’t sure. She told Colin that she was going to make up for what she did by giving Eric a baby that will definitely be his.

Chloe and Xander talk about his conversation with Dimitri and his feelings for Gwen. He assured her that he only cared about Gwen because of everything they went through together. He didn’t have romantic feelings for her anymore. Xander assured her there was nothing to worry about. Chloe told him that she talked to Nicole. They kissed each other and things got heated between them. Xander wanted to know if she was ready to take their relationship to the next level. Chloe was ready and they made love. After they made love, they agreed that they didn’t regret it. They made love again. Leo called Dimitri out for his lame marriage proposal to Gwen. Dimitri agreed with him and got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. Gwen and Leo were shocked at the size of the ring. She didn’t know what to say. Leo doubted Dimitri’s sincerity so he tried to convince him that he wanted to marry Gwen. Leo finally agreed to give them his blessing. Gwen wasn’t sure about her decision yet. Dimitri asked her to go with him to Stefan and Gabi’s engagement party. She agreed to go wiht him.

Sloan told Eric they could invite John and Marlena to dinner with them. He called Marlena and she told him about Abe. He was devastated by the news. He was worried for Nicole because she was close to Abe. He didn’t think she would take the news well. He wanted to tell Nicole himself and Sloan understood. After he left, she hoped that she was pregnant. She felt guilty about what she did to the paternity test. Nicole was frustrated because she couldn’t get in touch with EJ. Chloe arrived at the DiMera mansion so Nicole filled her in about her news. She started ranting about EJ disappearing. Chloe based him for leaving her. Nicole understood because she knew how important the business was to EJ. Chloe felt like Nicole should understand her feelings for Xander since she understood EJ’s behavior. Nicole wasn’t happy about it, but she understood. After Chloe left, Nicole tried to reach out to EJ again. She was upset when he didn’t answer the phone. She said she wanted the father of her baby to come in the room within the next few minutes. Eric walked in the room to see her.

Dimitri left a message for Megan about proposing to Gwen when Xander showed up. He overheard what Dimitri said about Gwen. He confronted him about it and told him that he owned the paper with Gwen. Xander demanded to know what Dimitri wanted with Gwen. Dimitri let him know that it wasn’t his business. He blasted Xander when he found out that he was Gwen’s ex. They threatened each other before Xander walked away. Gwen is working when Leo showed up with a floral arrangement that was at the desk for them. He thought the flowers were for him until he realized they were for her from Dimitri. They got into an argument about his intentions. He was upset when he found out that she was considering his proposal. He believed Dimitri had a motive for proposing to her. Gwen didn’t like the fact that Leo thought Dimitri couldn’t love her genuinely. He apologized to her, but he didn’t trust Dimitri. Dimitri showed up to surprise Gwen. He wanted to know if she made a decision about his proposal.

Kate wanted Jada to tell her what happened with Rafe. Jada hesitated, but she told her that she and Rafe made love. Kate was happy for her and wanted more details. She told her there wasn’t much to tell and they had to keep it a secret. Jada thanked Kate for encouraging her to pursue Rafe. She told Kate that Eli did the same thing with Rafe. Jada had to leave and asked Kate to keep her relationship a secret. Kate promised not to say anything. Kate reached out to Harris to find out about Megan. Jerry identified Abe as the man he saw go into the water. Eli jumped in the water, but couldn’t find Abe. Eli wanted answers from Jerry, but that’s all he had to tell them. Rafe wanted the divers to go in the water and look for Abe. They were unsuccessful. Jada arrived and Eli wanted to go to the hospital to test the blood sample he found. Rafe talked to Jada about their relationship. He assured her that their relationship didn’t have anything to do with what happened to Abe. They went to the station. Eli let them know that the sample was Abe’s. Eli wanted to tell Lani himself because he didn’t want her to hear it somewhere else. Rafe told Eli that he would tell Paulina and Theo. After his conversation with Eli, Jada comforted him.

Abe told Paulina that he wanted to go to the park. She didn’t think it was a good idea. He struggled to get up, but he was determined to go outside. Jerry came over and she asked him to talk Abe out of going outside. Jerry thought it was a great idea and offered to help him get ready. While Abe was getting dressed, Whitley went off on Jerry because he went against her. She felt like he was going to blow her plan. He planned on blowing it unless she gave him more money. She couldn’t give him more money. He couldn’t accept that. She reminded him that he committed the crimes. She said it was his word against her word. Paulina told him that he could end up in jail. He backed down and told Abe he couldn’t go out yet. Theo told Paulina that the police might have a lead on Abe. She didn’t want to get her hopes up, but he reminded her that Abe didn’t give up on him when he was shot. She was about to go to the station when Rafe and Jada were at her door. She wanted to know if they had news. She could tell something was wrong because of their faces. Rafe wanted to talk to her, but she didn’t want to hear it. She started to break down. Harris held Megan at gunpoint and told her, but he was taking her somewhere that she couldn’t hurt people anymore. She wanted to know who was making him do that. She guessed Kate was the one who talked him into doing it. Harris was about to drag her to a boat, but he was hit in the neck with a dart. Megan told him that it was a tranquilizer. She was on to him the entire time and lured him there. Li was the one with the tranquilizer gun. She was upset because he took so long. She wanted him to go back to the lab.

Megan and Li talked on the phone. She was happy when he said he was picking up Rolf. While she was talking about Stefan and the plan, Stefan walked in and wanted to know what she was talking about. She got off the phone and told him she was planning an engagement party. He asked if she knew where Kristen was. Megan said she went to New York to find a custody lawyer and wouldn’t be back in time for the party. When Megan left, he called Gabi. He told her they should invite Kristen to their engagement party. When he called Kristen, her phone was ringing. He found the phone in a drawer. Li met Rolf on the dock. He gave Rolf the supplies he needed. Kate and Harris met to talk about their plan for Megan. He said he wasn’t going to give up. He said he planted a tracking device on Megan’s car. He said he would corner her after she left the mansion. He got a notification that Megan was leaving. He left to confront her. He found her in the park and pulled a gun on her. Theo asked Eli why he was questioning Whitley. Eli told him Whitley left the hospital early the day Abe was missing. Theo said she might be involved. Eli said nothing pointed in her direction, but he was looking into it. While Whitley was in the interrogation room, she looked at Abe’s picture and said it was sad that he had to die. She said she didn’t have a choice.

Abe had a flashback of the wedding. He told Jerry that he wasn’t his son. Jerry said he was confused because of the amnesia. He said he was going to get Abe some water. When Jerry left, he sent Whitley a SOS text. When he gave Abe the water, he knocked it out of his hand. Abe wanted to know what was going on. Whitley told Eli she had to get back to her sick cat. When she left, Eli and Theo went over the background check Eli ran on Whitley. They didn’t find anything suspicious. When Whitley got home, Theo and Abe told her what was going on. She told Abe that he had another son. She said Brandon was his best man. She said Brandon didn’t approve of them. She said he and Brandon had a falling out. Abe apologized to Jerry for accusing him of not being his son. She offered to take Jerry back to the hotel. When they were in the hall, she told him she had something else for him to do. She told Abe that the hospital wanted to do more tests on him. She drew blood from him and gave the vial to Jerry. Rafe was shocked when he saw Talia in a towel. She invites him in. He told her about Talia’s plea deal. He kissed her after they hugged. He apologized for kissing her. He said he couldn’t help himself. She said if he didn’t do it, she would have. She said they should be together despite the rules. She kissed him. Her towel fell off. They made love. After they made love, they wanted a relationship. They agreed to keep their relationship separate from the job. Rafe left. Jada ran into Kate who told her she saw Rafe leave. Rafe, Eli and Jerry were on the dock. Jerry said he saw a man getting hit on the nail on a piling. Rafe and Eli saw fresh blood on the piling. They also saw Abe’s hospital bracelet next to it.
