EJ told Nicole that Kate and Kayla died. Nicole asked about Marlena. EJ said she was sick, but she was holding on. Nicole said she wanted to be there for Eric, but she was the last person he would want to see. EJ said she was a good person even if Eric didn’t want to see her. She told him that it was crazy that she wasn’t ready to move on from Eric. EJ said he wouldn’t pressure her. She said she should give up men for New Year’s. Stefan came home from Miami. Johnny was shocked that he wasn’t more upset about what happened. Stefan said he didn’t believe what happened. Johnny said it did happen. He said he heard it from the source. He said he and Wendy were almost drugged with the same drug Rolf used on Gabi. Stefan asked why he didn’t tell him sooner. EJ came in the living room. Johnny said he didn’t say anything because of Wendy. Stefan left the mansion. EJ thanked Johnny for not saying anything. Johnny told him that Kristen was hiding the orchid in the mansion and now it is gone. Johnny thought there must be a way to make more of the serum for Marlena. EJ said Rolf would know. Johnny left to see Rafe.

At John and Marlena’s place, Eric pulled a gun on Kristen. He told her to be afraid of him. He said he had the gun and she was going to take him to the orchid. Brady showed up. Brady tried to talk Eric out of using the gun. Eric left the apartment. She thanked Brady. He said he didn’t do it for her. He said he did it for his brother. He told her to pack her bags and get out. She asked him to let her stay for Rachel. He refused to let her do it. He said if he had been harder on her, he would have gotten the orchid to Kristen and Kayla on time. She told him not to blame himself. He said he didn’t blame himself. He said he blamed her. Gabi told Rafe what happened with Stefan. Rafe told her he had to let Li and Kristen go, but he was going to make them pay. She said she married Li. He said they could be divorce buddies. He told her not to give up on Stefan. She said she would never give up on him. He left to go to work. Li and Chloe ran into each other at the Square. She yelled at him. She wondered why he made Stefan fall for her. He told her to ask herself who would benefit from driving a wedge between her and Brady. She ended up quitting her job. Li went to see Gabi. She didn’t want to see him, but he wanted to explain himself. He told her resurrecting Stefan was for business reasons at first. He said he ended up falling in love with her. He said he didn’t want to lose her. She told him he lost her forever. He said they were alike and that deep down she would have done the same thing. He said they belonged together. She yelled at him for trying to kill the man she loved. Eric went to the police station and told Rafe to arrest Kristen. Rafe said he didn’t have enough evidence against her. Eric accused him of letting his mother suffer because he hated him. Rafe said he would follow every lead. Nicole went to see Chloe. She apologized to Chloe for telling Gabi where Stefan was. Chloe said she wished it happened before she slept with Stefan. She said Stefan was only interested in her because he was forced to be. Brady showed up to see Chloe. Nicole left them alone. He told Chloe Kristen forced him to break up with her. Johnny went to the police station. He told Rafe that Rolf might be able to help them cure Marlena. Rafe said he knew, but he couldn’t find him. Johnny said he knew where he was. Stefan went to see Gabi.

Alex waited for Stephanie to come back to bed. He ignored Chad’s second call to Stephanie. Chad left a message for Stephanie to get to the hospital right away. Chad called again so Alex chose to ignore the call again. Stephanie joined Alex in bed. They kissed and then broke apart. Alex looked at Stephanie’s phone. She noticed and wanted to know what was wrong. He wanted to make sure she was ready to be with him. She was ready to be with him and they made out. Steve brought Kayla water. She was afraid they wouldn’t find the orchid in time. He wanted to keep faith that they would find it. He felt like the power of their love will get them through it. She wanted him to check on Roman and Kate. He didn’t want to leave, but he did what she wanted. John tended to Marlena. She wondered if Kristen was lying about the orchid being missing. John thought she might be telling the truth this time. She thought Orpheus might have taken the orchid. She wanted John to go to Statesville. She promised him that she would hold on until he got back. She said he gives her strength. Rex told Roman how much Kate loved him. He walked out of the room. Roman cried over Kate’s body. He wished they didn’t waste so much time apart. He apologized for not being able to protect her. He said he would love her forever. He started crying again. Rex went into the lobby and told Steve and Chad that Kate died. Steve hugged him and then he hugged Chad. Rex walked away to call his siblings. Steve told Chad he needed Stephanie there. Chad promised to find her.

Lucas saw Orpheus and told him that he tried to kill his mother, Marlena and Kayla. Orpheus taunted him until John showed up. John demanded the orchid from Orpheus. Orpheus tried to play dumb. John told Lucas that the women needed another dose of the orchid’s healing properties. Lucas went to check on his mother Orpheus was happy about the news. Lucas called Rex. Rex told him about what happened to their mother. Lucas went back to Orpheus and tried to choke him. John and the guard tried to pull Lucas off of him. John didn’t want to leave, but he had to get back to Marlena. Steve consoled Roman and went back to Kayla. She cried when she heard about Kate’s death. She wanted to see her kids. Roman walked in the room. Steve left to call Joey and Tripp. Kayla told Roman that she was sorry to hear about Kate. Roman was hopeful she would get better. He didn’t want to lose his wife and his sister. Chad left another message for Stephanie to get to the hospital. Alex and Stephanie finished making love when Chad came in the room. Chad looked away and apologized for interrupting. He told her what happened to Kayla and Kate. Stephanie rushed to the bathroom to get changed. Chad walked out the room. Alex looked at the phone and felt guilty. John went home and told Marlena that Kate didn’t make it. Kayla told Steve that she needed to sleep and to see Bo and her parents. He begged her not to leave them. He holds her hand as she tells him that she’s tired. She let him know that she would love him forever. He told her that he would love her forever. He started crying and put his head on her chest. Kayla flatlined as Stephanie walked in the room. Steve assured her that Kayla tried to hold on for her. Stephanie couldn’t believe she couldn’t say goodbye. Alex stood in the doorway. He told Chad that Stephanie was too late. Chad couldn’t believe her phone got turned off and didn’t get to say goodbye to her mother. Alex felt guilty about what he did.

Kayla was surprised at her test results. She was afraid she, Kate and Marlena were in trouble. Rex said they needed the orchid for their next dose. Kayla said she wanted to find another treatment. Kayla called Roman and told her about Kate. When he got off the phone, he told Kate what Kayla said. He wanted to take her to the hospital. She said she didn’t want to go through that again. Chad showed up in the pub. Roman wanted him to talk to Kate. She said she wasn’t going to the hospital. When she stood up, she passed out in Chad’s arms. Roman told him to call Kayla. Kayla was about to call Marlena, but her knees gave out. Rex and Steve caught her before she fell. They put her in a chair. Rex gave her water. He checked her head and realized she had a temperature. They put her in a hospital bed. Chad called Kayla and told her about Kate. Kayla told Rex that Kate was on her way to the hospital. Kayla told Steve to call Marlena. Marlena and John practiced what they were going to say to Kristen when they pretended to argue. He wanted to make sure Kristen would trust him so she could open up to him.

Eric showed up at John and Marlena’s place. They thanked him for watching Rachel. He told them he kidnapped Rachel. They were shocked. He told them why he kidnapped her. He told them that Marlena, Kate and Kayla would need another dose of the serum. Marlena sneezed. Brady said Kristen was playing games with him about the orchid. He told her she would never see Rachel again. Kristen said someone stole the orchid. She said she was sure it was in the DiMera house. She went to talk to Harold about the orchid. She said he hadn’t seen it. He said no one has been in the tunnel since EJ did construction. She said the workers never steal from them. Brady said it went back to her. She said she didn’t do anything to the orchid She said she would never give up her leverage on him. She said she didn’t want the women to die. He told her they might. Brady and Kristen went back to John and Marlena’s apartment. They told everyone that the orchid was gone. Everyone was upset. Steve called to tell them what was going on. John wanted Marlena to lie down. Marlena yelled at Kristen for endangering their lives. When John took Marlena to their room, Kristen told Eric that she wanted Rachel back. Eric left to get Rachel. Steve told Chad and Roman about Kristen blackmailing Brady. Steve asked Chad to call Stephanie. Steve told Kayla about Kristen and the orchid. Kayla said she researched the illness but couldn’t find another cure. She said she was scared. He told her the fight wasn’t over. Kate told Rex that she was weak. He told her the hospital was the best place for her. He blamed himself for not realized they needed another dose. She said it wasn’t his fault. Roman came in the room. She told them she loved them both. She flatlined. Rex tried to save her, but it didn’t work.

Sloan and Eric fixed breakfast for Rachel. Rachel said she wanted to go home. He said she couldn’t go home because her parents were sick. She thought that meant her parents kissed at midnight. Sloan sent her out of the kitchen. Sloan told Eric about kidnapping Rachel. He said he would make it up to her. She said she needed it to be over today or come up with another plan. Brady tried to get Kristen to calm down. She asked why he wasn’t more upset about it. He said he was trying to keep a clear head about it. He said his father was on the case. She wondered if the person took Rachel because of her. She said her first suspect was Sarah. When she was going to leave, Brady stopped her. He said he was going to make some calls. He told her to get some rest. He made a call. Rachel asked if she could call her parents. Eric said she could call them soon. Sloan told her to go to her room and pick out makeup for a makeover. Eric thanked her for her help. She said he was lucky she was attracted to him. She said she would have turned him in by now. Brady called him. He said Kristen was desperate so they should make their demands now. Eric agreed with him.

Brady told Eric Kristen would know he was behind the kidnapping once they asked for the orchid. Kristen showed up as soon as Brady told Eric that he had to find the right time to drop the bomb on her. She told him he found the time. When he got off the phone, she wanted to know what he did with her daughter. He said Rachel was fine, but he wasn’t going to tell her where she was until she gave him the orchid. She told him no judge would give him custody after that. He told her to give him the orchid or she would never see Rachel again. She said she would let the women die unless he told her where Rachel was. He threatened her again. She agreed to do what he wanted. Kate and Roman had breakfast at the pub. Rex walked in. She said she was going to visit Lucas. Rex said he would love to go with her, but he had her test results. She looked at the results. She noticed that her levels were off again. He said he wanted to run tests on Marlena and Kayla to see if their results were the same. Steve and Kayla showed up and found out that one dose may not be enough. Kayla agreed to get tested. Rex and Kayla went to the hospital. Kate went to see Lucas. Steve and Roman were worried about their wives. Rex told Kayla that she had the same result as Kate. Kayla said she felt fine until she started sneezing. She said that was how the illness happened the last time. She felt like she was relapsing. Brady and Kristen went to the DiMera mansion. They went in the tunnels. He said he couldn’t believe he never found her hiding spot. She opened a cabinet and saw that the orchid was gone.

Maggie told Justin and Bonnie that she found an apartment for Sarah and Xander. They let her know that Xander made up Red Nax to cover up that he was working for Ava. They told her that he kidnapped her and Susan. Bonnie said that Xander was kidnapped by the clown too. Sarah told them it was an act and she knew who was helping them. Leo walked in the room. Leo got nervous when he heard Sarah tell everyone what happened. She told them that Gwen was the one helping them. Bonnie knew for a fact the clown was a man. Justin thought she could have been in a body suit. Justin wondered what Leo thought. Leo said he didn’t know anything about Gwen dressing up as a clown. He walked out of the room. Will was at Allie’s apartment. He let someone know that he would be back in LA as soon as possible. Sonny showed up at the apartment. Will yelled at him about letting Leo in their lives. Sonny tried to defend Leo to Will. He wanted Will to understand the choices he made. He let Will know that if he wanted Leo gone, he would be gone. He would stay friends with Leo, but Will comes first. They kissed and made up. Will apologized for leaving him so much and leaving him to make new friends. He wished he made a better friend.

Gwen went to see Xander. She saw that he looked bad. He thought he was a disgusting human being. He felt like a worthless loser and Knew Sarah didn’t want him anymore. Gwen told him that he wasn’t in jail yet. She thought it was a good sign that Sarah didn’t turn him in yet. She told him to have faith in his love for Sarah. Xander knew Sarah wouldn’t give him the benefit of the doubt. He promised to keep her out of it if Jack found out. Xander was heartbroken so Gwen told him to think about Sarah until he won her back. Maggie tried to make Sarah feel better about Xander. Sarah couldn’t believe she fell for what Xander did. Sarah’s phone rang and she saw that it was Xander. She threw her phone. Maggie wondered what she will do. She told her that she was going to divorce him. Leo met up with Gwen and told her that Sarah was telling everybody what Xander did. Bonnie and Justin arrived at Xander’s hotel room. Bonnie punched Xander in the stomach.

Li yelled at Rolf for messing up his life. Wendy went to see Li. She thought he wouldn’t want to be alone. He asked her if there was a chance Gabi didn’t get on the plane to Miami. She said Gabi was determined to get on the plane to see Stefan. She asked if he really tried to kill Stefan. Li said he pulled the plug. He said he was glad Kristen showed up to replug Stefan. Li said he lost his mind. He said Rafe was out to get him. He said if Rafe found out she and Johnny knew what was going on, he would want them to get along with Gabi’s story. She said she didn’t know if she could lie for him. Gabi came in Stefan and Chloe’s room while they were in bed. Gabi told them that Rolf injected her with a drug to make her forget that he confessed to brainwashing Stefan. She said Stefan still loved her. She said if she could remember that he could too. She said he should go with her to see Rolf so he could undo the brainwashing. He said he didn’t want to do it. He said he was staying with Chloe. Gabi was upset that he didn’t want the part of his life back when he loved her. Gabi asked if Chloe was okay with him being brainwashed to want her. He told her to leave.

Gabi banged on the door. She listened to Li’s message. She called him and told him she was going to make him pay. Li got off the phone and told Wendy he had nothing left. She said they were family even though he drives her crazy. She said she would always love him. Chloe told Stefan that she couldn’t believe he didn’t know what happened to him. He said he wanted to be with her. He said he hoped she felt the same way. She said she needed to be convinced that he was over Gabi. She told him to get his own room. When he left to go to another room, he ran into Gabi. She thought he changed his mind. He told her to get out of his way. When he walked away, she told herself that it would take some time, but it would happen. Kristen called Eric when she realized Rachel wasn’t in her room. He didn’t answer the phone. She yelled at Brady. Eric came in the room. He said he turned off his phone. He said Rachel was sleeping. Kristen said Rachel wasn’t in her room. Brady said she might be in one of the other rooms. She left to look for Rachel. Brady asked Eric where Rachel was. Eric said she was with Sloan. Brady didn’t feel better about that. When Kristen came back, she wondered why Brady wasn’t looking for Rachel. She called the police. Eric texted Kristen with an unknown number. He told her Rachel would be fine unless she called the police. Kristen yelled at Eric and told him she trusted him to protect Rachel. She said she was going out to look for Rachel. Eric sent her another text not to leave and to wait for instructions. Brady said they should do what the person said. Brady and Eric left. Brady told Eric that she might do something crazy in her state. He told Eric about her role in brainwashing Stefan to get Chloe out of his life. He said he didn’t know what she would do next. Eric told him to go back and keep an eye on her.

Brady confirmed the kidnapping plans with Eric on the phone. Kristen arrived and told Brady that she didn’t think she was going to the wedding. She saw John and Marlena leave and she didn’t want to leave Rachel alone. He let her know that Eric was going to watch her. Kristen thought he was going to a lot of trouble to get her to go to the wedding. He made it seem like he wanted people to see them together and that he wanted a future with her. Everyone was getting ready for Gabi and Li’s wedding. Kristen and Brady arrived for the wedding. They ran into Nicole and EJ. Kristen and EJ talked for a little while. She wanted to take a picture with Brady so she could send it to Rachel. Nicole and Rafe saw each other when he walked in the room with Jada. Li walked to Rafe and Jada to let them know that Gabi was late for the ceremony. Kristen started drinking and told Brady about Chloe being in Miami with Stefan. He informed her that she couldn’t keep them apart forever. She would have to accept it soon. Kristen wanted to know what that meant. Brady dismissed her concerns. More guests arrived for the ceremony. Rafe went to look for Gabi. Johnny talked to Wendy. He noticed that she was stressed out about the ceremony. Li announced that they were ready to begin the ceremony.

The guests saw Gabi arrive for the wedding. The Justice of the Peace started the ceremony. The Justice of the Peace wanted to know if anyone objected to the wedding. Wendy announced that she had something to say. She told Gabi she was happy to be getting her as a sister. Li was angry and told her that she could have said that at the reception. They continued with the ceremony. Gabi hesitated when it was her turn to say her vows. Memories of Stefan came flooding back to her. She went through with the ceremony and they were married. After the ceremony, Rafe welcomed Li into his family. Li’s phone rang. He thought he turned it off. Rafe wondered if it was Dr. Rolf again. Gabi was concerned when she heard that he talked to Dr. Rolf. Dr. Rolf left Li a message warning him about the CRS 17 could wear off in weeks with certain triggers. He hoped that didn’t happen with Gabi. At the reception, Rafe gave Gabi a drink. He asked her if she was okay. She flashed back to Dr. Rolf’s lab. She announced that Dr. Rolf brainwashed Stefan to hate her. Li tried to get Gabi out of the room, but she refused to move. Gabi remembered Dr. Rolf telling her that Kristen made him do it to keep Brady from Chloe. Brady got upset and looked at Kristen. She said if she was involved, it wasn’t her idea to do it. Gabi remembered Dr. Rolf saying it as Li’s idea to brainwash Stefan. Gabi glared at Li.

Gabi yelled at Li. She told him it was his idea to brainwash Stefan. Li said Rolf was lying. Li said he could never betray her like that. She thought about Rolf’s confession. She accused Li of trying to kill Stefan in his sleep. She said he tried to murder the man she loved. She thought about Rolf injecting her with something to make her forget the truth. She yelled at Li He asked her if they could go somewhere so they could talk. Rafe said they weren’t going anywhere. He said Kristen wasn’t either. Jada put handcuffs on her. Rafe handcuffed Li. Brady went with Jada and Rafe while they were taking Kristen and Li away. Gabi asked for Wendy’s phone so she could call Stefan. Stefan was planning a night with Chloe, so he didn’t hear the phone. Gabi left a message on his phone. Gabi asked Nicole if she knew where Chloe and Stefan were staying. Nicole gave her the name of the hotel. Gabi left. Johnny went too so he could give her a ride.

At the police station, Rafe told Li and Kristen that they weren’t charged with anything yet. Rafe said it was a preliminary investigation. Li and Kristen said they wanted their lawyers. Rafe didn’t let them contact their lawyers. Jada told Rafe they needed to call their lawyers. She said their case would be ruined if they didn’t call their lawyers. He agreed to let them call their lawyers. He said Li and Kristen would think the police couldn’t make a case and have a false sense of security. Rafe said he would build a case against Li so he could put him away. Brady showed up to find out what was going on. Rafe and Jada told him they were going to let Kristen go. Li ran into Wendy and Johnny at the town Square. She told Li that Gabi went to Miami. Wendy told Li he was on his own from now on. Stefan and Chloe had fun with each other. He noticed Gabi’s message but didn’t listen to it. Chloe told him she had a great time and didn’t want it to end. They kissed each other.
