Jack and Jennifer told Julie that the twins were missing. Julie wanted to be with Eli. Abby wanted to know why Gwen wasn’t out of the house. Chad said the kids didn’t get a chance to say bye to her. Abby didn’t care. He said they loved Gwen. Abby was willing to let the kids say bye to her, but she wanted her gone by the time she came back home. Eli tried to get Lani to think about the kidnapping like they were cops. She didn’t think she could do that. He asked her what it said about someone who kidnapped their children in broad daylight. She said they were desperate for a baby. He said someone might want to get revenge on them. She wanted to know why. He said they arrested a lot of people. She said it would be worse if someone took the babies out of revenge because they wouldn’t take care of them. Abby went to see Jack and Jennifer. She wanted to talk about Gwen. Gwen told Chad he had to come up with a better reason to get her to stay. She said she would tell Abby that they had sex. He warned her that she wasn’t going to ruin his life or marriage. He wanted to know what she wanted from him. Julie went to see Lani and Eli. Julie wanted to know what she could do to help. Eli said the police were all over it. Julie was going to make the person who took her grandkids pay for what they did. Jack and Jennifer told Abby that Gwen was trying to turn them against each other. Abby was glad that it didn’t work. Allie confronted Charlie about raping her. Charlie told her Tripp raped her. He said Tripp’s DNA matched Henry’s. She said Rafe told her that he was Tripp’s half brother so he could have raped her too. Nicole told Rafe that she wanted to talk to Ava. He told her that she wasn’t herself. Tripp tried to talk to Ava to get her to talk about Charlie. Steve came in and wanted to know how it was going. Claire told Marlena that she was going to find Charlie because she wouldn’t tell her anything. John came in just as Claire was about to leave. She said she wanted to know what was going on and Marlena wouldn’t tell her. He said he told Marlena not to say anything. Claire wanted to know what was going on with Charlie. John told her that he and Steve thought that Charlie was the one who hurt Allie. Steve told Tripp that the police were questioning Charlie. Tripp said he would get the truth out of Charlie. Steve told him to hold off on that. Tripp said people in the town treating him like he was a monster so there was no way he was letting it go. Charlie told Allie that he didn’t remember her. She told him she didn’t remember Tripp on her when she was raped. He said it was because she was drunk. She asked why she remembered the other part. She asked if it was because it was. Steve said Angelo was in prison at the time’t. Tripp said they were back to square one. Steve said they weren’t. Tripp wanted to know who else would match Henry. Steve said Ava had another son. Sarah told Xander about his dirty laundry and he realized Philip was laundering money and not embezzling it. He was convinced he had what he needed to expose Philip. Xander knew Victor couldn’t ignore what Philip did. Brady went to see Kristen at the prison. She was upset because she read an article an saw him kissing Chloe. He assured her the kiss was innocent. She was still mad and became more upset when she found out he was working with her. She wanted to know why he didn’t tell her before. He wanted to focus on her and Rachel and nothing else. He assured her that Chloe was just a friend. She didn’t mean to be insecure. He let her know there wouldn’t be anyone else. Bonnie ran into Philip while he was looking at a missing person’s photo of Ava. They argued because he dumped Mimi. Chloe showed up so Bonnie walked away. She asked him about the money-laundering scheme. He didn’t think it was a problem since Ava is dealing with her own issues. Angelo called Philip and informed him that he was in charge now. He got off the phone and told her how he had to keep laundering the money or he would go to prison. If he didn’t go to prison, he would end up dead. Brady walked up and was curious about their conversation. Philip didn’t want to answer him, but Chloe told Brady how he was in trouble. She said Philip needed his help.

Lani and Eli went to the nursery to get their babies, but they found out they were missing. Eli asked the nurse what happened to their babies. She was going to look into the situation. Eli called his mother to see if she had the twins since she was on the authorized list. She told him that she and Abe didn’t have them. Later, Abe and Valerie arrived at the hospital. Eli told everyone how he checked with the head nurse and the twins weren’t accounted for, but the hospital was on lockdown until they were found. Valerie tried to make Lani feel better, but she was falling apart. She couldn’t go through that again. She couldn’t lose her babies. Valerie took Lani back to her room. Abe put an alert out and assured Eli the twins would be found.Eli brought a laptop with the security footage on it. He didn’t find anything suspicious. He thought the person knew how to avoid the cameras. Eli assured Lani they would have the twins with them. Dr. Raynor was in the park with a stroller. She let someone know that she had the babies. Bonnie showed up. She picked up the pacifier that Dr. Raynor dropped. Raynor was scared when Bonnie picked up one of the babies. Bonnie put the baby down so Raynor rushed off. Bonnie wished her luck with them.

Ben went to see Marlena. He said she was the only one he could turn to. She wanted to know what was going on. He told her he still saw Ciara. He said she was still with him. Marlena told him Ciara was still with him. He told her he felt better when he was sleep because he was with Ciara. He said he was going through the motions when he was awake. Marlena told him that most people who were grieving were going through the same thing he was going through. She suggested he talk to Claire. John told Steve that Charlie was in Salem. Steve wasn’t convinced that Charlie was the one in Salem. John told him Charlie wore glasses and was clumsy. Steve didn’t think that was enough. John said Charlie was good at math and worked at Titan. Steve still wasn’t sure that he was Charlie. Nicole talked to Rafe about Tripp. Rafe told her Tripp changed. Nicole didn’t care about the changes Tripp made. Rafe brought up that Ava was missing. Nicole thought he would be happy if Ava wasn’t found.

Abby wanted to know what Chad would have done if he knew Gwen was lying. He said he wouldn’t have gotten drunk and stayed at the Salem Inn. Abby asked where Gwen was. Gwen said she was with Chad. Abby asked if she spent the night with her husband. Steve and John confronted Angelo. John asked if he raped his granddaughter. Angelo didn’t know what he was talking about. Angelo told Steve to call off his guard dog. Steve said John’s granddaughter was raped and wanted to know if he did it. Steve said Allie had a baby and it matched his DNA. Angelo said it wasn’t him. Steve said Tripp didn’t do it. Angelo said Tripp’s DNA matching meant he did it. Steve said Tripp didn’t do it. He said a relative did it. John asked Angelo when he was in London. Kayla talked to Marlena about Steve believing Tripp was innocent. While they were talking, Kayla brought up that Ava was missing. Marlena asked if anyone knew she was missing. Chad found Abby with Jake. Chad confronted her about being with Jake. Abby said nothing was going on between them. Chad told her about the room she reserved. She said she didn’t reserve a room. He showed her the receipt with her credit card number on it. Jennifer asked Kate if she was embarrassed to be with Jake. Kate said she wasn’t embarrassed by him. She said she was concerned about herself. Ava wanted to know what Charlie was going to do with her. He said he was going to have her committed. Jack confronted Gwen about the clippings she had. Gwen said she was doing her research on the family. Jennifer wanted to know why Kate was embarrassed by herself. Kate said Jake was younger with her. Jennifer told her she dated younger men before. He wanted to know why she felt that way. She said she was afraid that people were going to say she was too old for him. He said he didn’t care. She wanted to know prove she didn’t if they got back together. Abby and Chad confronted Gwen about the clippings. Gwen said she wanted to research the family. Abby asked her about telling Chad she kissed Jake. Gwen said she lied about seeing her kiss Jake. Chad said if he had known Gwen lied about Abby he wouldn’t have done something. Abby wanted to know what he was talking about.

Anna asked Kate if she was looking for Jake. Kate wanted to know how she knew she was looking for him. Anna said she knew she was having sex with Jake. Kate told her to mind her business. She walked out of the room. Anna talked to Tony about Gwen was targeting Abby’s family. Jack walked in while they were talking. He wanted to know what they were talking about. Anna told him about the clippings Gwen had about Abby and the family. She was convinced Gwen had an agenda against Abby. He realized Gwen was a conniving tramp. Anna thought it was time for her to leave town. Tony felt the DiMeras had to deal with the problem. Jennifer ran into Kate at the town square. Jennifer apologized for the way she treated her. She also told her how she knew about her sleeping with Jake. Jennifer said she knew she wasn’t with Jack. Kate let her know how she broke up with Jake. Jennifer wondered if Chad was the real reason why she wanted to keep their affair a secret. Kate said she always wanted to be powerful like Victor. She felt Jake didn’t understand that. She didn’t think he would understand because he was born into the DiMera family. Jennifer asked her if he embarrassed her.

Abby kept trying to get in touch with Chad. He was passed out in the bed. Gwen looked at the phone and said he was sleeping. She thought she wore him out. She thought he would be hung over and regretful. He woke up and realized what he did with Gwen. He blamed what happened on the alcohol. She told him he wouldn’t have been with her if Abby didn’t betray him. Chad realized Abby called and listened to her messages. Chad noticed how she sounded scared. Gwen wondered if he heard fear or was it the fact he was on to her. He felt he needed to confront Abby. He apologized for taking advantage of Gwen. She was fine with it because she knew what she was doing. Abby was mad that she couldn’t get in touch with Chad. She went by Jake’s room. She told him about Chad’s suspicions and how he didn’t come home. Jake admitted to her how he and Kate broke up. He said he enjoyed being with Kate. He believed Kate was slumming with him. She got her kicks slumming and he was perfect to her. Abby was about to leave his room when Chad showed up. He assumed the worst when he saw Jake was shirtless. Gwen was at the DiMera mansion and saw Jack looking through her things.

Abby let Tony and Anna know how she couldn’t find Chad. She told them how he thought she was having an affair with Jake. She told them Kate was sleeping with Jake. They were shocked Chad would think something like that. Anna thought Gwen was why he thought that. She said Gwen was trouble. Abby tried to defend her, but she thought about the first time they met. Anna let her know how Gwen was playing her all along. Anna thought Abby should search her room for proof. She wanted to talk to Chad instead of Gwen, but he didn’t answer his phone. Anna thought Gwen was the reason why Chad didn’t answer his phone. She wanted Abby to go with her to check Gwen’s room. They searched Gwen’s room. They found clippings of Abby and her family. Anna wondered why Gwen was stalking her family. Gwen stopped kissing Chad because he was drunk. He said he was fine and wanted to kiss her again. She didn’t want to talk about it or tell anyone about it. He talked about Abby cheating on him with his brother. He thought she would just blame it on the DID. He became suspicious as to whether her illness was real at all. He thought his wife might be a liar who cheated on him. He wanted to know why it was okay for Abby to cheat on him. He wondered why he couldn’t cheat on her. He asked Gwen to help him forget what Abby did. Gwen made it seem like she didn’t want to hurt Abby. He reminded her what Jake did to her. She told him how Jake hurt her. Chad wanted to pay them back for what they did. They kissed each other. She wanted to make sure it’s what he wanted. He wanted her to make him forget. They ended up lying down on the bed.

Chad passed out. Gwen was proud of herself for what she did. She thought it would have been harder to get Chad in bed, but his lack of trust made it easy. She mentioned how he betrayed Abby and their marriage could only take so many betrayals. She got out of the bed and noticed how Abby called Chad. She didn’t answer it and said he was too busy to talk to her. She promised Abby would find out soon enough. Jake told Kate how Abby knew about them. She thought Chad would hate her for being with her. He felt they shouldn’t have to sneak around. He thought Chad should be happy for her. He liked what they had together. He wanted to tell everyone how proud he was to be with her. He wanted to know why it was a problem. She said the situation was complicated. He thought it was because he embarrassed her. She assured him that she wasn’t, but he didn’t believe her. He hoped she enjoyed their last kiss because it was their last one.

Will went to see Jennifer. He realized she was hoping he would be someone else. He told her how sorry he was to hear about Jack and Kate. She wasn’t sure what to do about her marriage. Will advised her to work on her relationship if she wants to be with Jack again.Gwen let Chad believe Jake bought her bracelet for Abby. She told him how she saw them kissing. She let Chad think that Jake wanted her to keep quiet about it. She lied and said she kept it from him because she didn’t want to be the one responsible for breaking up their marriage. Chad was prepared to kill Jake. Jack talked to Kate about Jennifer. She thought it was funny how he gave Jennifer an hour glass, but she said it was a good sign that she took it. Jack didn’t know if she threw it away like she did with their marriage. Jack kept drinking and planned to enjoy himself at the party.

Abby confronted Jake about him sleeping with Kate. She explained all of the proof she had that he was sleeping with her. He finally admitted he was having an affair with Kate. He wanted to know what it meant to her. She wanted details from Jake. She decided to tell Chad about them, but he didn’t want Chad to know. She wanted him to know since he thought she was sleeping with him. She was about to go home so Jake followed her. Philip spotted Chloe at the NYE party and was about to talk to her when Brady sat with her. Philip wondered how Kristen would feel about him being with Chloe. He told him how he was out with a friend. He left Philip to sulk. Chad and Gwen arrived at the party. He went to Brady and Chloe to ask if they saw Abby. They let him know she left with Jake. Gwen told Chad how she overheard Abby book a room at the Salem Inn. Chad was livid and downed a drink. He walked away while she smugly watched him. Jennifer arrived at the party and saw Jack with Kate. He assured her that nothing happened with Kate. He admired the way she looked. She wasn’t going to go to the party, but she didn’t want to lose any more time with him. She decided to forgive him since it’s a new year. Jake and Abby couldn’t find Chad at the mansion. He decided to go back and give Kate the head’s up about what was going to happen. Chad and Gwen went to the hotel room. They saw rose petals on the bed. Chad left his phone behind while he searched the room. Gwen picked up the phone and declined an incoming call from Abby. Chad took a bottle of champagne and waited for Jake and Abby to show up. Jack and Jennifer rang in the new year with a kiss. Brady and Chloe gave each other an innocent kiss. They didn’t know Philip was watching them. Gwen kissed Chad. She backed away from him, but he pulled her in for a deeper kiss.
