Paulina was getting ready for Abe’s funeral with Chanel. They talked about what Abe meant to them when Theo showed up. Paulina wanted Chanel to go to Steve and Kayla’s place to get pictures of Abe. She and Theo were going to meet Chanel at the church. Paulina wanted to talk to Theo alone about his eulogy. He practiced what he was going to say and she was moved by his speech. John showed up at Steve’s place. He told Steve that he had the same dream about Abe. He wondered if it was more than just a dream. John felt like it was a premonition like the one Steve had about Kayla. He thought Abe might be alive. Steve agreed with him so they looked through the file again. They focused on Whitley’s first statement. Chanel showed up at Steve’s place. Steve and John offered their condolences. She told them about Whitley showing up to see her mother. She also told them how Whitley worked on Abe’s campaign and was at Abe and Paulina’s wedding. After Chanel left, Steve and John thought Whitley’s actions were suspicious. Steve went to the hospital to talk to Whitley. Marlena found Brady putting up Rachel’s picture. He didn’t think she was missing. He thought Kristen had her. He wanted to talk to her. Marlena wanted to talk to her. He finally agreed with her.

Lani surprised Kristen at the DiMera mansion. They were happy to see each other and then the conversation switched to Rachel. Lani felt like Kristen knew what happened to Rachel. She tried to talk Kristen into doing the right thing and telling Brady what happened. She thought they could work something out. Marlena showed up after Lani left. Marlena felt like she owed her for helping her when she and EJ needed her help. Kristen said she needed something if she was going to tell her about Rachel. Whitley drugged Abe again when he accused her of not being his wife. He said he remembered the real picture of Paulina. Jerry showed up at Whitley’s place. He felt bad for Abe’s family. She let Jerry know that she planned on leaving town with Abe. She agreed to give him a bonus if he left town too. She left to go to the hospital. Abe’s funeral was over. Lani wanted to stay behind. She needed a moment alone. Paulina and company went back to her place. Jerry was packing his bags when there was a knock on his door. He opened the door and saw Lani standing there. Steve saw Paulina at the hospital and started questioning her. She answered his questions and wanted to find Kayla. He wanted to know why she wanted to talk to Kayla. She said that she was resigning.

Marlena hypnotized Harris. He said that Li was the one who gave him the order to shoot Stefan. Harris was mad that her treatment didn’t help him and he still wanted to kill Stefan. He wanted to get electroshock again because it helped him the last time. She thought that was too much of a risk. She wanted to try a new treatment first. He decided to trust her. He remembered that Rolf and Megan were the ones who programmed him and made him think Li did it. Marlena showed him a picture of Stefan. He let her know that he didn’t want to kill him anymore. He was happy that she helped him. Rafe was upset with Gabi for putting herself in danger to help Stefan. Stefan arrived and was upset with her too. Rafe defended Gabi even though he felt the same way. Later on, Stefan and Gabi continued to argue about what she did. They eventually made up when Rafe called her. He let her know that Harris had a breakthrough. Gabi still thought Li was involved. She and Stefan were determined to find out what happened. Melinda approached Shawn at the docks and wanted to know why the divers were leaving. He said they searched the water and didn’t find Rold or Megan. He decided to call off the search. She was upset with him because he didn’t have the authority to make that decision. She noticed alcohol on his breath while they were talking. He denied drinking, but she found a bottle of alcohol. He said it wasn’t his bottle.

Melinda was going to have the bottle dusted for prints. He admitted that the bottle was his. He didn’t think it was a big deal because he could still do his job. They argued about it. Melinda made a comment about what happened to Bo. He yelled at her and stormed off. Later, Melinda arrived at the station to talk to Rafe. She wanted him to fire Shawn for drinking on the job. Wendy confronted Li about trying to kill Stefan. He denied her accusation. She didn’t believe him. He tried to compare his situation to hers. They talked about her situation with Johnny and Tripp. He thought she should make a decision. She thought he should move on with his life. Shawn wanted to talk to Rafe in private. Melinda wanted him to fire Shawn. Rafe wanted her to focus on her job and he would do the same. Marlena called Rafe and told him that Li wasn’t behind Harris’ brainwashing. Rafe left the station to go to the hospital. He talked to Harris. After his conversation with Harris, Marlena wanted to know if Harris could go. She promised to vouch for Harris and Rafe agreed to it. Rafe warned him that he would be watching him. Harris asked Marlena to have him committed to Bayview. Melinda let Li know that he was free to go, but she believed he was involved in the shooting. She couldn’t prove it, but she was going to be watching him. Rafe returned to the station. Shawn thanked him for helping him. Rafe told him that he was suspended.

Chad and Stephanie found a place and were happy with it. Brady arrived and found out they were getting the place. He congratulated them on the place. Brady also congratulated Chad on his new job. Chad wondered how he knew about it. Brady let him know that Alex told him and he wasn’t happy about it. Maggie noticed that Alex had bags. she wondered where he was going. He let her know that he was moving out. He didn’t feel comfortable living with someone who fired him. She told him they were still family. Later Chad went to see Maggie and let her know his decision. She was happy that he was going to accept the position. She told him about Alex moving out of the mansion. Stephanie was getting things ready in the apartment when Alex arrived to check out the apartment. She told him about Brady being there too. She let him know that Chad accepted the position. Alex was happy for him. She hoped they could still be friends. He told her that he had to find a place to live and they would see each other soon. Gwen was excited about her engagement. She talked to Kristen about getting engaged to Dimitri. Kristen thought about Dimitri using Gwen. She reminded Gwen that she was trying to get over Xander. Gwen knew things were moving fast, but Dimitri swept her off her feet. Xander and Chloe were at the office and things got heated. They were about to make love when Gwen walked in on them. She was surprised to see them together. Xander apologized for what she saw, but she didn’t care. She said she was with a wonderful man so she didn’t care. He heard about her engagement to Dimitri. She showed him the ring he gave her. She stormed out the room.

Dimitri caught Leo in his room. Leo showed him the evidence he found. He knew that Dimitri was only marrying Gwen to get his inheritance. He told Dimitri that he was going to tell Gwen everything. He kissed Leo. Leo was into it, but he slapped him. Leo knew what Dimitri was trying to do. He knew he was trying to get him into bed so he wouldn’t tell Gwen the truth. Leo wanted to know if he was right. He wasn’t that easy. Dimitri took his shirt off, but Leo wasn’t interested. Dimitri tried to caress him. Leo would have been interested if he didn’t propose to Gwen. Dimitri admitted that he wasn’t straight. Leo found it hard to believe that he’s gay when he doesn’t look it. He told him that he is only with Gwen to get his inheritance. Leo reminded him about his fling with Billie. He let him know he was with her to get the peacock. He was willing to give himself to Leo to keep his secret. He admitted that he was attracted to Leo. Leo gave in and kissed Dimitri. He pushed Dimitri on the bed. Kristen arrived at the mansion and ran into EJ. She told him that Megan escaped and she warned him to watch her back. A secret door opened and they thought it was Megan. Rachel came out of the door. Kristen wondered why she was there and not at camp. Rachel said she didn’t come visit her. Kristen let her know that Megan had her locked in the basement. They talked about being together. Chad came home to tell Stephanie about his conversation with Maggie. Alex arrived and told them that he was going to be their neighbor. Dimitri and Leo finished making love. He said he would take care of Gwen, but no one could know about them being together. Leo agreed not to say anything. Rachel was listening to them outside of the door.

Roman went to the docks for Abe’s memorial. He talked to him about what he meant to him. He also talked about missing his best friend. Kate and EJ were shocked to find Gabi handcuffed to the bed instead of Megan. She told them that she was there to confront Megan about brainwashing Harris, but Rolf got the better of her. He ended up getting Megan out of the room. Gabi told them that he mentioned a submarine and EJ stormed out of the room. Belle met with Shawn and was upset to see that he was drinking while he was on duty. They argued about it until Shawn stormed off. Roman showed up and asked Belle what happened. She told him that Shawn felt guilty about shooting Bo. At the hospital, Gabi asked Kate about her interest in Harris and Megan. Kate didn’t answer her.

Later, Kate arrived at the pub and talked to Roman and Belle about Megan’s escape. Shawn went to Abe’s memorial and started drinking. Later Nicole arrived at Abe’s memorial when Eric showed up. They talked about her appointment and was upset that EJ wasn’t with her. She told him that EJ went to Marlena to jog his memory. She said that EJ loved her and the baby. She said she loved him too. Nicole and Eric ended up talking about Abe. He comforted her when she started to cry. EJ arrived and saw them hugging. After Nicole and EJ went home, she assured him that nothing was going on with Eric. She assured EJ that she loved him and she was glad that he was supportive of her. Dimitri was excited when Gwen accepted his proposal. He wanted to tell his mother, but she wanted to celebrate in bed first. Kristen asked Leo why he was at the mansion. She called him out for his lies. He admitted that he was trying to find out the real reason why Dimitri wanted to marry Gwen. Kristen wouldn’t call the police if he left. He agreed to go, but he snuck upstairs. Leo searched Dimitri’s room and eventually found the papers about his inheritance agreement. Dimitri walked in and demanded to know why he was there. He told Dimitri what he found and he planned to tell Gwen. Dimitri told him that he wasn’t going anywhere and he kissed him.

Theo ran into Jerry on the docks. Jerry told him that he was there because he felt guilty for not being able to save Abe. Theo knew he did what he could. He thanked Jerry for giving them peace about what happened to Abe. Jerry had something to tell him. Abe spotted Jerry in an episode of Body & Soul. Abe wanted to know why his son was on a soap opera. He fast forwarded to the credits and saw Jerry’s name in the credits. He realized that it wasn’t his son’s name. He realized that Paullina was lying to him and that he had to get out of there. Whitley went to see Paulina to offer her condolences. She told her that she voted for Abe. She felt like she knew him personally. She told her that she was in the park when they got married. Paulina wanted to know what Abe’s last words were to her. She said that he called out Paulina’s name. She thanked her for telling her.

Lani saw Rafe and they hugged each other. He allowed her to look at evidence if she wanted to do it. Abe tried to wheel himself to the door, but Whitley showed up at the house. She wanted to know what he was doing. He told her that he was leaving. She said that he wasn’t leaving. He said he saw “Theo” on the soap opera, but his name was Jerry. She said that was his stage name. He didn’t believe her. Lani and Eli saw Theo and Jerry talking. Jerry was about to tell him something, but he stopped when they showed up. He apologized and walked away. Abe demanded the truth or he was going to the police. He wheeled himself to the phone, but she stuck him with a syringe. She told him that it was a mild sedative to keep him from leaving now or ever.

John thought about seeing Abe on the docks. He let Marlena know that he felt like he let Abe and Paulina down. He flashed back to Abe helping him when he found out he was Roman. John wished he were a better friend to Abe. Marlena assured him that he was a good friend. John wanted to know how she was doing with it. She felt like everyone would need each other to get through what happened. Whitley got nervous when she saw the paper. She noticed Abe’s picture on it. Abe saw her and wondered what she was doing with the paper. She covered up his picture and told him about a man drowning at the docks. He wanted to read the story for himself. She didn’t want him to stress out and have another seizure. He apologized to her. He didn’t realize how stressful that was for her. She let him know that she was doing everything for him and got ready to go to work. Theo read about Abe’s presumed death. Theo told Eli that he kept losing people he loved. Lani showed up and said that he didn’t lose her. She let him know that she was granted furlough for Abe’ funeral. She had to wear an ankle bracelet. Steve and Kayla were going over the evidence. Steve found it hard to believe that Abe fell off the docks and drowned. He thought it was too easy. He mentioned that no one saw Abe until the exact moment he fell. He wondered how he survived on the street if he was so weak that he fell in the water. Theo arrived at Steve and Kayla’s place. Steve apologized for not coming through for him. He knew that Steve did the best he could. He thanked him for his donation. Theo didn’t understand how Abe suddenly disappeared and drowned. He didn’t think it made any sense.

Whitley was getting ready to leave when Abe told her that he was lonely when she leaves. He wanted to know if Theo could come over more. She lied to him and told him that he went back to South Africa. Abe couldn’t believe that he left without saying goodbye to him. He wanted to know if Chanel could come over. Whitley said that she would love to visit, but she’s busy at the bakery. Lani surprised Paulina. She let Paulina know that she didn’t think Abe was really dead. Paulina didn’t think it made any sense either. She wondered how they are supposed to have a homegoing when they didn’t have a body. Paulina thought they declared him dead too fast. She wanted to look at the evidence herself. Eli thought it was against policy. Lani gave him a dirty look and he thought Rafe wouldn’t mind. John and Marlena went to Steve and Kayla’s place. They offered their condolences to Theo. Steve and John felt like they should have done more to find Abe. Marlena assured them that they did their best. She said Abe would feel the same way if he were there. John felt like it was better to blame themselves than to accept that Abe was dead. Marlena thought it wasn’t guilt that was bothering them. They know that something is wrong. John and Steve wanted to get back to work. Eli and Lani were at the station. He showed her the evidence they have concerning Abe’s  disappearance. Abe watched the soap and noticed that a character on the show looked like Theo.

Belle and Talia met with Trask to talk about a plea deal. Trask decided not to offer a plea deal for Talia. She thought she could convict Colin without her help. She thought Talia deserved the full punishment for her crime. She went off about Talia drugging the biscuits. She let her know that she got sick and ended up in the hospital because of her. Belle let Trask know that Talia was seeing Marlena and she gave her the report she gave about her. Trask read it and saw that Talia was an abuse victim. She wasn’t as rough on her anymore. Trask told her about being abused by her ex-husband. Trask agreed not to send her to jail if she agreed to keep getting therapy. Abe didn’t like the fact that his children weren’t involved with his vow renewal ceremony. Whitley told him that she had a surprise for him. She told him that Theo was in town. She told him that him came home as soon as he heard what happened to him. He was excited. He hoped that seeing him would trigger his memory. Theo arrived, but Abe didn’t recognize him. They talked to each other for a few minutes. Abe became suspicious because his story didn’t match Whitley’s story. Theo wanted to talk to Whitley in the hallway. He didn’t know that he was helping her fool the mayor. She wanted him to calm down and remember that she was paying him to help her. She reminded him how she helped his grandmother when she couldn’t afford health care. She called him Jerry and warned him that he would ruin his acting career if they were caught. He hesitated but agreed to help her go through with her plan. They were about to go back to Abe, but she was called to go to the police station.

Jerry told Abe that Whitley had to leave. Abe wanted to know why he needed to talk to her alone. He said he was thrown off because he didn’t remember him. They agreed to get to know each other again. Jerry asked him if he had a cane to help him get around. Abe had a memory of Theo talking about his cane on his wedding day. Rafe and Jada were frustrated that Abe has been missing for three weeks and they didn’t find him yet. Jada assured him that they would find him. She put her hand on top of his while she assured him that they would find Abe. Eli walked in the room, and they took their hands away from each other. Rafe introduced Eli and Jada to each other. He told her to go home and rest. He would let her know if something happened. Eli questioned Rafe about his relationship with Jada. He admitted that he and Jada had feelings for each other. He said they couldn’t do anything about it since they have a no-fraternization agreement. Eli wanted him to get some rest and he would help with the case.

Sarah played Bonnie’s message letting her know that she couldn’t keep her secret. Sarah didn’t know what to do so Rex suggested that she call her. Sarah gave Bonnie a call. She told Sarah that she told Justin about the pregnancy. She assured Sarah that Justin wouldn’t tell Xander the truth about the baby. She told her that he wouldn’t run into Xander while he’s working and hooking up with Chloe. At the pub, Chloe and Xander noticed that Justin looked nervous. Justin said he wanted to tell him something. He flashed back to promising Bonnie that he wouldn’t tell Sarah’s secret. He let him know that Alex went to work for Basic Black. They talked about who Maggie would get to run Titan. Justin told them he had to get Bonnie’s soup. Xander talked to him about how nervous she seems around him. He thought she was acting like she didn’t want him to find out something. Justin tried to make an excuse for her. He started shifting uncomfortably. Xander was concerned about his behavior too. Belle talked to Brady about Rachel. She told him that Kristen wants to dispute the judge’s ruling in the custody case. She said she didn’t hear from Kristen’s legal team. She thought it was weird that she didn’t hear from them. She wanted to know what she was planning. Brady told her that Kristen won’t be going after Chloe anymore since she’s with Xander. Belle was shocked and wondered if she had lost her mind. He didn’t want to dwell on it anymore. He asked her about Shawn. She told him that he was still feeling guilty. She told him to hold on to Chloe because she will see Xander for the man he really is soon enough.

Sarah was surprised to find out that Xander was with Chloe. Bonnie thought Xander would dump Chloe if he knew she was pregnant. Bonnie thought she should probably tell him the truth. She didn’t want Xander back in her life. She wants Bonnie and Justin to stay quiet. Bonnie agreed to keep quiet. Rex wanted to know if she was okay. Sarah assured him that Xander could date whoever he wanted. She said she could date who she wanted too. She pulled Rex into a kiss. He pulls away from her. He wanted a chance with her, but he didn’t want it to be a rebound thing. She apologized for using him to escape her problems. He wouldn’t mind, but he wanted it to mean something to her. She wished she could get over Xander. He let her know that she could come to him when she did get over him.

Megan wanted Li to hurry and find Rolf. She told him that she took care of EJ and Kristen. She said they couldn’t sabotage them. The secret door opened. Paulina was thankful for Julie and Eli stopping by her place to support her. Eli told her that he promised Lani that he would find Abe. He and Paulina hugged each other. Abe told Whitley that he remembered getting married, but it wasn’t to her. She insisted that she was the one he married. He wanted to see a picture as proof they were together. She said their album was destroyed in a fire. Abe was persistent about seeing a picture. She looked for his and Paulina’s wedding announcement. She kept tapping on the keyboard. She showed him the photo and Abe reacted to something. Leo came from the tunnels. He was determined to stop Megan from manipulating Gwen into running silly stories about Dimitri. Megan assured him that she didn’t have an agenda. He warned her that he was keeping an eye out on her. Julie and Eli were at the town square. She said it broke her heart to see what Paulina was going through. Stefan heard them and corrected her about her heart. He told her that it was his heart. He and Gabi were at a table at the town square when he called out to her. He was glad to see that his heart was still working. She said it was no thanks to Gabi. Julie and Eli told Stefan how Gabi blackmailed Lani and how she rigged Julie’s heart to explode. Julie thought Stefan would be upset with Gabi. He couldn’t be more proud of her.

Abe was shocked to see the picture Paulina showed him. She photoshopped her head in the picture. He thought his mind was playing tricks on him. He wanted to know why she didn’t wear her ring. She said she didn’t want to lose it at work. He wanted to see her ring. She showed him a diamond ring. He apologized for accusing her. He wanted to know how he could make it up to her. She had an idea for him. Paulina looked at her wedding album. She showed Chanel a copy of Abe’s vows. She loved him more now than she did when they got married. Chanel told her to stay strong for Abe. She knew he was fighting hard to come back to her. Stefan told Julie and Eli that Lani wasn’t innocent. He told them how she shot him in the throat and she’s in prison for killing her own father. Eli was about to go after Stefan, but Julie stopped him. She told him that Stefan wasn’t worth it. She felt like Stefan and Gabi deserved each other. Megan looked at Stefano’s portrait. She knew he wouldn’t like her plans for Stefan. She was going to try to spare EJ and Kristen. She was about to go to the secret door when Theo showed up looking for EJ. She told him that he was away on business. She offered concern for Abe. He didn’t think she was as scary as people said she was. She hoped she would get to see him more often. Whitley wanted Abe to hit the button. She walked out of the room wearing a green wedding dress. He wanted to put on his suit from the ceremony. She lied and said that it was burned in the fire. They exchanged rings in the living room. She told him that he made her the happiest woman on earth.

Belle found Shawn at home getting a drink. She took the drink from him and told him to find another way to deal with his grief. He said the vodka was better than therapy. She said therapy would help him stop torturing himself. He threw his glass. He told her he might want to torture himself. He said he deserved to be miserable. He walked away from her. EJ and Kristen were tied to chairs in the wine cellar. He was worried about missing Nicole’s doctor’s appointment. Kristen said she didn’t realize how much the baby meant to him. He said Nicole’s happiness means a lot to him. He said he didn’t want her to go through another miscarriage. He said he loved her even if she didn’t feel the same way. Nicole got a message from EJ saying he couldn’t make the appointment. She wondered what was keeping him from being at the hospital. Belle showed up at the hospital. She ran into Nicole. She told Nicole that she heard about the pregnancy. Nicole told her EJ was the father. Belle told her it hit Eric hard. Nicole was upset. Belle apologized for being insensitive. They talked about Shawn and what he was going through. Belle said she was going to talk to Marlena about what to do. Megan wanted to know why Harris was at the DiMera mansion. He said he wasn’t going to let her hurt anyone else. He tried to grab for his gun when Shawn showed up. Shawn accused them of working together again. Harris assumed he was drinking. He told Shawn they were on the same side. Megan called him a pathetic drunk. Shawn threatened to make her pay for what she did. She pulled out her gun. Harris talked her out of shooting Shawn.

Dimitri went to see Gwen. He had flowers for her. Leo took the flowers and put them in the garbage. Leo said he was on to him and wasn’t going to let him take advantage of Gwen. Dimitri asked how he was doing that. Leo said he was just trying to get free publicity. He said Gwen was a real journalist. He said he would stand up for her. Dimitri wanted to know where that left them. Leo said with pistols at dawn. He told Dimitri to kill him if he had to. He said he would go out defending his best friend. Sloan went to see Eric. They ended up making love. When they were finished, she talked about going to court. He said he would go with her to support her. She was surprised he would go with her after what Colin has done. He said he would support her after everything she has done for him. She thought about using her own DNA sample for the paternity test. EJ told Kristen that Nicole didn’t return his feelings. Kristen said the circumstances weren’t ideal and that Nicole was under stress. She told him not to expect too much too soon. He was shocked that she was actually giving him support. They ended up talking about Megan. Eric and Sloan went to eat at the pub. She said she was moved that he wanted to go to court with her. He said he loved her and wanted to support her. She said she loved him too. She told him she didn’t want him to forget about her offer to have a baby. He said he appreciated it, but it wasn’t the right time to have a baby. Kate showed up and asked why. She suggested that they have a baby. After Kate left, Sloan asked what he thought about it. Gwen apologized to Dimitri for Leo’s behavior and made him leave. Dimitri told her he had an agenda. He said he wasn’t able to get her off his mind or his heart ever since he met her. He said he knew she couldn’t have feelings for him. She asked what if she did. They kissed each other. When Belle went home, she blamed herself for not realizing Shawn would go after Megan. He said he wished she shot him. She said she loved him. He walked away. After Nicole’s appointment, she went by the pub and saw Eric and Sloan. He asked if she was okay. She said the doctor said there was a good chance the baby could make it. They were happy for her. Sloan told her they were going to have a baby of their own. He said there was no need to wait for something he wanted. Harris and Kate met at the park. He told her that Shawn kept him from going through with the plan. He said when the time comes, he would go back. He said she would never hear or see Megan again.

Dimitri saw Kristen reading his interview. He said he was surprised his mother wasn’t there to hear about it. She told him to tell her about it. He said he enjoyed lunch with Gwen. He said she was able to relate to his life experiences. He said he made up those experiences to charm her. Kristen warned him not to tip his hand. She said Megan had plans for his inheritance. She said Megan was putting an army together. He said he knew that she had a plan. Megan told Li that EJ overheard their plan to get rid of Stefan. She said EJ doesn’t know he was involved and that he was tied up in the wine cellar. She said she wanted Li to focus on getting rid of Stefan. He asked her if she thought he was going to kill Stefan. She said she didn’t trust an amateur who couldn’t get it right the first time. She said they needed someone with ice in their veins. They needed someone trained and willing to kill. She said she knew the perfect person. Nicole went to Stefan’s room to look for EJ. She said they had an appointment with a specialist, but she hadn’t heard from him since last night. Stefan told her sabotaging him was more important than her baby. She said she knew the baby was too important to EJ to miss the appointment.

Harris told Kate he would take care of Megan for her. He said he wouldn’t kill Megan. He said he would exile her to a place she could never leave. Kate said he should get Dimitri too. He said that wasn’t going to happen. She said her brothers could only go so far. She said she could move in different directions. She said Gabi was emotional and hotheaded. She said take Stefan away and she was knocked down. She said that was where Li came in. She said he should be thinking about getting revenge on Stefan. He refused to do it. She told him to think about it. EJ told Gabi and Stefan that Nicole was pregnant. Gabi said EJ would be free since he wouldn’t be at DiMera anymore. Gabi and Stefan told him they had Kristen on their side. EJ said he had Megan. They all argued over who was the worst sister. Gabi suggested that they stop arguing and work together because Kristen and Megan were working together. She said he could charm and romance Gwen. He said he was hoping he would have fun when he got out of prison. He said that would be hard if he was playing a devoted husband. Roman told Kate that there were no leads on Abe. He said he was going to help John and Steve look for him. Harris showed up and said he was there to keep an eye on Megan. He thought Roman would want him to stay away. Paulina was on the phone when Whitley came in the hospital room. When Whitley was about to leave, Paulina stopped her. She thanked Whitley for taking care of Abe. She said she didn’t know how they would have done it without her. Whitley said it was a joy to take care of him. She said it was terrible that Colin kidnapped him. Paulina said Colin wasn’t the kidnapper. She said she didn’t know if she would ever see Abe again. Whitley comforted her.

Roman told Harris that he hated what happened between him, Bo and Hope, but he stuck his neck out for Kate. Roman said he owed him. When Roman left, Kate talked to Harris. He said he needed to find a job. She said she would pay him to get rid of Megan. Megan told Dimitri that pretending to be married was worth the fortune he would get. She said they had to share the DiMera fortune but the Von Leuschner fortune was all theirs. He told her about saying it was theirs. She reminded him of the things she has done for him. She said he could pay her back by charming Gwen so they could get the money. When he left, Kristen showed up and wondered what they were going to do with the money. Paulina went into the interrogation room yelling at Colin to tell her where Abe was. Rafe tried to pull her away when Sloan walked in. Sloan said Colin had nothing to do with Abe’s disappearance. Colin said he would take them to him if they let him out of there. Whitley listened to Rafe’s message. She watched Abe sleeping. He had a dream about Paulina. He dreamt that he saw her at the hospital. When he woke up, he told Whitley that he had a dream about her, but she didn’t look like herself. While Colin and Sloan were alone, she asked him to tell her the truth. He said he didn’t know anything about the mayor. He said it was the perfect way to escape. He said he didn’t want to go to prison. She told him he didn’t have a choice. Abe told Whitley that she looked different in the dream. She went to make him eggs and sausage. He said she must have memory problems too since he hates sausage. He asked her to turn on the TV. She told him they had to stay away from the news. He asked if she was his wife or mother. She said she had to watch out for his mood swings. He picked up the remote control.

He was happy about that except for the fact that Colin escaped. Leo told Jada about seeing Colin. Leo asked her about Talia and Colin. Jada said Talia was in an abusive relationship. He asked if he could quote her on that. She tried to backtrack. He told his father was physically abusive. She said Talia was emotionally abused. He said he could understand how that felt because of his mother. She said she knew she couldn’t stop him from printing what he wanted, but she wanted him to consider not using the story. Gwen walked into the DiMera mansion as Megan was talking about finding a good wife for Dimitri. Gwen said she was looking for a scoop on Dimitri. Megan said she came to the right place. Kristen introduced Gwen to Megan. Megan asked how they knew each other. They said Kristen blackmailed Gwen into helping her escape custody while Kristen helped Gwen get pardoned. Gwen asked for an interview with Dimitri. He didn’t want to do the interview, but Megan told him not to be hasty. Talia thanked Belle for her help. Belle left Rafe’s office. Talia apologized to Rafe for what she did. She said she knew it was a bad look for Jada. He said Jada didn’t care about that. He said she cared about Talia which was why she got her a lawyer. Gwen told Dimitri her interview would give him a chance to clear up any rumors. He didn’t care about the rumors. Megan wanted to talk to him. Megan told Dimitri that his interview wasn’t about good PR. She said it was about making Gwen his wife. He asked if she wanted to be in love when she got married. Megan said there wasn’t any time for that. if he wanted the Von Leuschner fortune. She told him to forget about love and convince Gwen to marry him. He wanted to know why it had to be her. She told him Gwen had great qualities.

Gwen told Kristen that she would do anything to get an interview with Dimitri. Kristen reminded her that she stole the paper from Jack. She asked Gwen about working with her ex. Gabi said they would play a big role in the company. She handed them the plan to make DiMera better. Their pictures were in the folder. Nicole told EJ that she wasn’t menopausing. She told him she was pregnant. He asked why she didn’t tell him. He realized she didn’t tell him because the baby wasn’t his. She told him she didn’t know because it might be Eric’s. He thought she didn’t want to marry him because the baby might be Eric’s. He asked if she would want Eric back if the baby were his. Eric told Marlena that Nicole was doing a paternity test. She asked him how he felt about that. He said part of him was hoping the baby was his. He said he felt bad about that. He reminded her that she could have stopped this sooner. She told him she didn’t know where Colin was. Abe called out to Paulina. The nurse said she was his wife. She said she was going to take him far away from anyone who was going to hurt him. Chanel looked for Abe. She told Paulina that he wasn’t scheduled for any tests so he should have been in his room. Eric showed Nicole the swab. He told her he knew she was pregnant. She tried to lie, but he said Sloan told him everything. Nicole admitted that she was pregnant. He was upset with her for lying to him. She said she lied to EJ too because she didn’t know who the father was. Rafe put out an APB on Colin. He and Sloan continued arguing. Paulina and Chanel ran into them. Paulina told him Abe was missing. He told her Colin was missing too. She was afraid Colin took Abe. The nurse took Abe to her house. He asked if that was where they lived. She had cat pillows, stuffed animals and figurines in her house. He asked her about the cats. She said she was allergic to cats and he loved them. She said Whitley wasn’t much of a housekeeper. He asked who Whitley was.

Nicole told Eric she didn’t want to get his hopes up only to break his heart. She said she would do it anyway if he was the father and she can’t carry the baby to term. He said he would never blame her for that. He said there have been medical advancements. He said a fertility doctor could tell her what to do. She said she couldn’t think of that until she knew who the father was. She apologized for being a wreck. He told her not to apologize. He said they were friends. She said they were. He asked what they were going to do next. She said there was nothing to talk about until she found out who the father was. He gave her the swab and left. The nurse told Abe that Whitley cleaned for them monthly. He said he didn’t remember her. He said he needed to rest, but he needed to know what was going on. He told her they should call Chanel. The nurse asked who Chanel was. He said her daughter. She pretended to call her. Paulina had a panic attack. Rafe and Chanel tried to help her with her breathing. When she turned around, she wanted to know what he was talking about. He apologized to her. He said he thought she was Paulina. She asked if all black women looked alike to him. He said he saw her from behind. He said he was on edge. She said he was nasty and rude. She yelled at him for what he did to Abe. She told him he needed to repent for his sins. Paulina was in Abe’s room. His eyes were closed and his head was bandaged. Paulina wanted him to open his eyes. Chanel came in the room. She told Paulina that he needed time to recover. She gave him the swab and said she hoped this didn’t change things between them if the baby is his. Anna asked Nicole if she loved EJ. Nicole said she cared for him, but she was confused. Anna asked if she loved Eric. Nicole said she knew Anna was her side, but she wanted her to stop asking questions. The nurse that was in Colin’s room went to see Abe. He recognized her as his wife. He said a young woman named Chanel said she was her daughter. The nurse said she couldn’t believe someone would attack him. She said the worst part was he was still in danger because his attacker was in the hospital. Rafe went to Colin’s room and found the cop handcuffed to Colin’s bed. Chanel and Paulina went to Abe’s room. His bed was empty. Paulina wanted to know where he was. The nurse was pushing Abe in a wheelchair to the elevator. She told him he was safe now. When Nicole was about to leave the mansion to meet Sloan, Eric was there.

He told her found one. He said it was Chloe. Gwen said over her dead body. Brady went to see Chloe to offer her a job. He said he would keep things professional. She said she already had a job at the Salem Spectator. He asked with Xander. Justin ran into Maggie at the Kiriakis mansion. He said he thought she would still be in Greece with Bo. She said there was nothing they could do so she talked Victor into coming home. She said she thought he would still be in Chicago with Bonnie visiting Mimi and Emily. He said he stayed behind so he could find out why she fired Alex from the family business. Bonnie went to Rex’s place to see Emily. Bonnie said Mimi told her Emily was with him. Bonnie went to check on Emily. Sarah showed up at Rex’s place. He told her Bonnie was there.

Gwen told Xander they weren’t hiring Chloe. He said she was jealous. She said she wasn’t. She said Chloe wasn’t qualified. He said the job was Chloe’s. She finally agreed, but said when it failed, the money would come out of his half of the profits. Maggie told Justin why Alex was fired. Justin asked who she was to say Alex wasn’t qualified. She said Victor agreed with her. She said she gave him a chance to prove himself, but he didn’t do it. He said he knows Alex blew the deal. He said it was killing Alex that he let her down. He asked if she could give Alex one more chance. When Bonnie came out of the room, she noticed Sarah covering up her stomach. Bonnie told her it didn’t hide the fact that she was pregnant. Bonnie assumed the baby was Xander’s. Sarah said she was way off. Rex said he was the father. Bonnie said they were lying. Sarah thanked him for trying. She admitted to Bonnie that she was right. She said the baby is Xander’s. She said there was a time when she wanted to have his baby, but now she wants nothing to do with him after what he did to Bonnie and Susan. Sarah said no one could find out that he is the father.

At the DiMera mansion, Megan was talking to Stefano’s portrait. EJ walked in and wanted to know who she was and what she was doing there. She said she had a right to be there. She called him baby brother. He said he heard about her being released from prison. He said he didn’t expect her to be there. She said she was a DiMera. She said her place was in the house and business. Kristen ran into Gabi and Stefan. She told them she was free. Gabi yelled at her for working with Li to brainwash Stefan. Stefan told Gabi not to make an enemy out of Kristen since they could use her vote. Gabi apologized to Kristen. Kristen said they could make it up to her by taking them home with her. Brady talked about Kristen to Marlena. He was upset about Kristen being in his life because of Rachel. Marlena said his family was there for him. Eric showed up to tell them the charges against Sloan cleared since her brother was the one going after Paulina and Chanel. He said he wanted to make her feel better by having the dinner she wanted with Marlena and John. He said Brady was invited too. He said Brady could bring anyone he wanted. Brady said the only person he would bring would ruin everything. He said he wouldn’t bring Kristen, but he would go to dinner. Anna was on the phone with Nicole. She told Nicole no one would hear about the pregnancy from her. While she was on the phone, Tony was there. She got off the phone. He asked who she was talking to about a secret pregnancy. She said she was the one who was pregnant. Tony asked how it was possible. She said Rolf.

Sloan and Nicole ran into each other at the hospital. They got into an argument until Kayla showed up. Sloan wanted to check on her brother. Nicole told Kayla Sloan knows she is pregnant. She told Kayla that she needed a paternity test right away. Kayla said she could get an accurate result next week. She said she needed a cheek swab from one of the potential fathers. Megan told EJ that all of Stefano’s heirs had a right to the mansion and a vote to who runs the company. He said she was dead for 30 years. She said she had faith her lawyer will sort everything out. She used her vote as a way to get his help. He wanted to celebrate her return. She asked about the rest of the family. He said they would be home soon. Tony told Anna what she would have to give up if she was pregnant. He wanted her to tell him the truth about the pregnancy. He asked if Nicole was the one that was pregnant. EJ told Stefano’s portrait that he needed to keep Megan on his side. Kristen showed up with Gabi and Stefan. Gabi said they invited Kristen back. Megan introduced herself to Stefan and Gabi. EJ told them they were going to have a dinner in Megan’s honor. Anna admitted to Tony that Nicole was pregnant. She asked Tony not to say anything because Nicole didn’t know who the father was. Tony said EJ had a right to know. She asked him not to say anything until Nicole took a paternity test. EJ called Tony to invite him to dinner. Kayla gave Nicole a kit so she could get the cheek swab. When Kayla left, Sloan showed up and found out about Nicole’s situation. Sloan suggested that she get the swab while EJ was sleeping. Nicole said she couldn’t risk him waking up in the middle of it. Sloan said Eric was a sound sleeper so she could get the swab from him. Nicole hesitated about the idea. Sloan suggested they get a swab from both of them to double their chances of success unless she wanted to tell Eric and EJ the truth. Sloan said she didn’t need Eric distracted from supporting her. Nicole said EJ would be upset if he found out he wasn’t the father. Eric showed up as Nicole reached into the kit to give Sloan the swab. He wanted to know what was going on.

Kate wants to know how Megan got out of prison. Megan showed Kate and Roman her release papers. She said her song Dimitri got her immunity. She said she wasn’t there to rub it in. She said she had pressing business. Dimitri went to see Chad. Dimitri told him about his release. Dimitri thought Chad wanted him to pay for what he did to Kate. Chad said he did want him to pay. Dimitri told him to think about his loyalty. He said Kate wasn’t blood related to him the way he is. Chad didn’t know what he was talking about. Dimitri told him his mother was Chad’s sister. While Shawn was in the hospital, Harris showed up. Shawn wanted to know what he was doing there. Harris said he had to warn Hope. He said he had to warn all of them. Kristen went to John and Marlena’s place. Marlena was shocked that Megan helped Kristen get out of prison. Marlena wanted to know what Kristen wanted. Kristen said she was there to stay. Marlena said that wasn’t her home. Kristen said it was Rachel’s. Brady showed up. Dimitri wanted to know if he should call Chad uncle. Chad said he didn’t want him to call him anything. Chad wanted him to leave. Dimitri told Chad about the things his mother has done. Chad said she was a b*tch with a heart of stone. He said he wouldn’t get to know her since she was in prison. Dimitri told him about the immunity deal he got for him, Megan and Kristen. He said with everyone free, they could all be a happy family.

Brady told Marlena and Kristen that he heard that Kristen was out of prison. He said Kristen couldn’t stay there. They started arguing over Rachel. Kristen reminded him about Xander and Chloe being together. Brady and Kristen talked about their own relationship. He said he wasn’t going to let her see Rachel. Kristen threatened to sue him for custody. Harris told Shawn that Megan got an immunity deal. He said he would do everything he could to keep Shawn’s parents safe. Shawn said he did enough already. Shawn left to tell Hope about Megan. When Shawn came back, he told Harris that Bo was going to be moved to a long-care facility that no one will be able to find. Harris said he accepted that he didn’t trust him. He said he was going to Salem to keep an eye on Megan. Roman yelled at Megan when she asked about Bo. Roman said when Bo woke up, Hope would have his heart. She said she would have to fly to Greece and make sure that didn’t happen. She said she would claim her place at DiMera Enterprises since Bo wasn’t waking up anytime soon. Marlena let Brady know that no judge would grant Kristen custody of Rachel. He said he knew that, but he would be the bad guy if he didn’t let her see Rachel. Marlena was afraid he would get sucked back into Kristen’s orbit again just to make Rachel happy. Brady refused to let Kristen back in his life. Dimitri told Chad to get the jet so they could go home. Chad said he couldn’t do that. Dimitri said he would fly coach as long as they got to spend time together. He wanted to learn how to embrace the family. Chad said they all slept with one eye open. Chad said he would keep both eyes open for them. He said he didn’t want a relationship with Dimitri. Dimitri said they were family, so they were going to spend time together.

Wendy talked to Li at the apartment. He told her he signed the divorce papers. He asked if she was going to tell Johnny that she was back. She said she wasn’t sure. She said she believed Johnny’s story about the biscuits, but she was interested in someone else. She told him about Tripp. Li didn’t seem interested in hearing about Tripp. She said she wasn’t sure if she wanted Tripp or Johnny which was bothering her. Li said they would wait because she was worth the wait. She went to the DiMera mansion to see Johnny. She told him she liked him but liked Tripp too. She apologized to him. Seh said she didn’t mean to be abrupt, but she wanted to see where things went with both of them. Johnny was able to accept her decision. Gabi went to see Li. She told him she signed the divorce papers. She told him she was engaged to Stefan. She said they were both free. She said it was time for them to move on and forget the past. He said he apologized for hurting her but losing her was the worst thing to happen to him. She said she felt like it could last forever. She told him she hoped he met the right woman. Rafe was on the phone and demanded that Colin be found. When Kayla showed up, Rafe got off the phone. She asked what happened to Abe. She went to check on the surgery. Rafe got a call about the Salem Inn.

On the roof, Talia struggled with Colin. Jada told her to get out of the way. Jada and Colin went over the edge and landed by Eric and Sloan. Sloan went to Colin. He was bleeding on the ground. He said she did it when Jada showed up. Jada asked Talia why she did this. They all went to the hospital. Chanel brought Paulina in. Paulina wanted to know what was going on with Abe. Rafe told her what was going on. She was upset. Rafe said Abe was in good hands. Paulina got upset again when Eric and Sloan showed up. Rafe told Sloan to leave the hospital. Eric yelled at Rafe. Eric apologized to Paulina. Paulina asked if he was sorry after what Sloan and her brother did to Abe. Paulina calmed down and started praying. Eric took her to the chapel. Chanel gave her statement to Rafe. Rafe said Talia saved her life. Chanel said she didn’t. She said Talia was responsible for this. She said Talia was the reason why they were on the roof. Chanel told him not to let Talia go that easily. Sloan went to see Colin. The doctor said he was lucky to be alive. He woke up and asked what happened. She asked what happened too. She said he was supposed to leave Paulina and Chanel alone. He said he did what he had to do. He said he had them where he wanted until Talia and Jada showed up. He said Talia pushed him over. Sloan asked why he didn’t leave. She said she missed their parents but there are limits. She said he couldn’t kill. He said she couldn’t get the job done, but he could. He said he would do it again. Kayla checked on Talia. Kayla told her she was lucky except for the broken arm. When Kayla left, Talia asked Jada how Chanel was. Jada said Paulina and Chanel were fine. Talia said things got out of hand. Jada said this was Colin’s plan all the time. She asked Talia why she cared about him. Jada told her to forget about Colin and to be glad it’s over. Talia asked if she could see if he was okay. Jada went to see Colin so she could handcuff him. Jada went to the waiting room. She said she arrested Colin. Chanel wanted to know if Talia was going to be arrested too. She threatened to call the DA and the media if Talia wasn’t arrested. Rafe told Jada to go home and get rest. She said she had an arrest to make. Eric brought Paulina back to the waiting room as Kayla was telling everyone Abe’s surgery went well. Kayla took Paulina to see Abe. Eric told Rafe that Sloan had nothing to do with what happened. Eric ended up yelling at Rafe. Colin asked if Sloan was for or against him. She said he was her brother. She said he didn’t need family. She said he needed a lawyer to help him. She said she would help him. Jada went to Talia’s room. Jada told Talia that Colin wasn’t dying. Jada said he was getting arrested. She said she had to do the same thing to Talia.

At the DiMera mansion, Gabi told Stefan that she was a free woman after she took the divorce papers to Li. Stefan said she wouldn’t be for long. He asked her to marry him. Nicole took one of her prenatal vitamins as EJ came in the room. He asked her why she was taking it. She said it was for her menopause. She was upset about her situation. She said women are put out to pasture. He said the only place he wanted her was in his bed. He said he found her sexy. Rafe and Jada told Eric and Sloan they believe Colin is the one going after Chanel and Paulina. They kept asking Sloan questions about Colin. Eric pleaded with her to answer them. Sloan admitted that Colin was the one doing it. Talia told Chanel about Colin. Chanel was upset. She said she thought Talia was her friend. She asked how she could do that to her. Talia said she realized she and Paulina weren’t the bad people Colin said they were. Chanel asked how she could love someone like that. Talia thought Colin justified why he did it. She left the room. Colin pulled out a gun. Paulina said she would go with him, but she wanted to get Abe help first. Colin took her phone and made her leave the kitchen.

Gabi was shocked that Stefan proposed to her. She said she didn’t think marriage was in the cards for them. He said it was all he thought about ever since he came out of Rolf’s spell. He said asking her to stay married to Li was a mistake. He said all he wanted was to be married to her. She accepted his proposal. Colin brought Paulina to his hotel room. He showed her a photo album. She saw the family pictures and realized he was Sloan’s brother. She tried to explain what happened, but he said he heard her side. He said it was time she heard his side. Sloan told Rafe and Jada about Colin. She told Eric she told Colin to leave town. She said she didn’t know where Colin was. Rafe said he would put out an APB. He said for now they would settle with her. Sloan and Eric tried to stop him from taking her. Rafe said she was an accessory after the fact. Her arrest might bring Colin out. Gabi and Stefan ran into EJ and Nicole. Gabi and Stefan rubbed it in that they were engaged. They said they would be running the business together. Nicole said she didn’t want to celebrate with them. Stefan and Gabi left to celebrate. Colin told Paulina his parents were in love. He said that was how he knew she and Chanel were lying about what happened. Paulina said things changed. He said he believed Chanel was the one who seduced his father and murdered his mother. He said it was time for Chanel to get what she deserved. Abe woke up and called Rafe. When Rafe showed up, Abe told him to find Paulina. Colin took Paulina on the rooftop. She thought he brought her there to shoot her. Chanel called Paulina. When someone answered the phone, Chanel started saying what was going on with Colin. Colin cut her off and told her to follow his instructions. At the police station, Sloan said her brother wasn’t dangerous. Jada said Colin convinced her sister to do his dirty work. She said that was dangerous enough. Sloan asked what she was talking about. Chanel went to the rooftop. Colin put a gun to Paulina. Chanel wanted to know what he was going to do. He said since she and Paulina convinced his mother to throw herself off the building, he said the story would come full circle. He told Chanel to tell her mother goodbye. He said she was about to jump to her death. He pointed the gun at the back of Paulina’s head.
