The Nurses Ball begins with TJ and the General Hospital nurses singing the song Lovely Day followed by Elizabeth telling everyone that the Nurses Ball is dedicated to the memory of Epiphany and they show a picture of Epiphany with a moment of silence.

Cody tells Gladys that he wants her to tell Sasha the truth about her gambling problem or he will tell Sasha that she has been using her money to cover her gambling debts.

Spencer and Trina decide that they are boyfriend and girlfriend and Joslyn and Trina perform the song Meet Me in the Middle . Linc is interested in signing Joslynn to a contract, but she refuses the offer, but he is determined to change her mind.

Valentin sings a song he wrote for Anna since she is sad she can’t be at the Nurses Ball this year. Anna imagines she is dancing with Valentin at the Metro Court.

Spencer lies to his Uncle Sonny and tells him he hasn’t seen Victor and he had no idea that Victor had moved out of the Metro Court. Victor tells his bodyguard to find Anna and Valentin and bring them back alive, but he can kill Lucy. Victor also tells his bodyguard that he has somebody backstage at the Nurses Ball because when he leaves town he intends to take someone with him.

Lucy tells Anna and Valentin that she snuck out of the safe house to check on the preparations for the Nurses Ball so Anna and Valentin rush Lucy out of the safe house because they know it won’t be long until Victor finds them. Anna, Lucy, and Valentin walk out the door. Anna sees a gun and tells Valentin to move before a gunshot goes off.

Phyllis and Jeremy talk at the motel room where she is staying and the ambulance paramedic whose name is Carson arrives to collect his last payment for services rendered. Phyllis asks Carson if everyone believed the story and he says that everyone believed the story.. Jeremy tells Carson to leave town and if he is contacted by the police again he should stick to the story.

Phyllis regrets causing Summer and Daniel pain but Jeremy tells her that they will get over their grief and move on from their lives. Phyllis also regrets leaving half her money to Jeremy in her will. Jeremy and Phyllis talk about how they got two John Doe bodies which were burned beyond recognition to pose as her and the body of the ambulance driver. Jeremy paid the ambulance driver and gave him a passport and papers for his new identity. Phyllis also has a new identity but she isn’t happy about it because she doesn’t know where she wants to go or what she wants to do with her knew life.

Michael plays a voice mail that he got from Phyllis before she died for Christine who is the new DA. Phyllis tells Michael in the voice mail that Diane tried to strangle her and said she wanted to kill her. Christine thinks its funny that she is the person in charge of getting justice for Phyllis. Michael thinks it seems like Phyllis set it up so Christine would have to get justice for her.

Summer insists on planning Phyllis’s memorial service by herself despite Nikki offering to help her. Victor and Jack both think Jeremy had something to do with Phyllis’s death.

Daniel blames himself for Phyllis death because of the way he treated her before she died. Daniel is determined to find out what happened to Phyllis.

Danny is worried that Daniel is in a dark place so, he calls Lily to ask her to come over and talk to Daniel.

Lily recalls what it was like when Neil and Drucilla died. Lily persuades Daniel to go to sleep while she sits and watches him sleep.

Summer blames Diane for Phyllis’s death,and thinks Diane is happy Phyllis died. Summer also thinks that Phyllis was right about Diane and she wishes she would have listened to her.

Billy tells Chelsea that Phyllis is dead and they talk about Phyllis. Chelsea tells Billy he can sleep on her couch because he shouldn’t be alone.

Elena tells Nate they should find out the cause of Phyllis’s death to give her family and friends some peace.

Jack assures Diane he doesn’t blame her for Phyllis’s death.

The audience sees a hotel room and then Phyllis comes out of the bathroom and she tells someone that it took them long enough to get there but the audience doesn’t see to whom Phyllis is speaking.

Devon and Abby declare their love for each other, but Abby tells Devon she needs time to think about moving in with him.

Victoria talks to Tucker intending to offer him anything he wants to buy his company but, after talking to Tucker she decides not to buy McCall Unlimited.

Nick and Daniel both think Jeremy had something to do with Phyllis’s death. Daniel punches Jeremy and tells him that he will make him pay if he is responsible for Phyllis’s, death.

Chance interviews the paramedic who was the only survivor of the crash. The paramedic tells Chance that he drew Phyllis’s blood and it could have survived the fire because it was in a metal cooler. Chance sends a police woman to the hospital to ask them to run a fox screen on Phyllis’s blood to see if Phyllis had a drug in her system that could have led to her death.

Maxie gets even more stressed out when a reporter tells her during an interview that one of the magic wands in the Magic Milo act dropped out of the show. Lucy is watching the news and since Maxie isn’t answering her calls she sneaks out of the safe house again to go save the Nurses Ball.

Spencer meets with his Uncle Victor who tells him that they need to get enough evidence against Esme so that DA Scorpio will reopen the case against her. Victor doesn’t tell Spencer that he plans to kill Esme to ensure that she doesn’t raise baby Ace.

Sonny tells Anna and Valentin to wait until he can find another safe house for them and not to leave town because Victor could find them sooner and he could kill them. Sonny assures Anna that Victor will pay for killing Luke and he will not have any influence over Spencer.

Ava tells Esme that she will be watching her and if her memory does return she will pay for everything she has done to her. Carly and Nina call a truce for Willow’s sake since Willow needs to be free of stress since her bone marrow transplant is tomorrow. Carly can tell that Nina is having a hard time dealing with the reality of Sonny’s business and she tells her that if she can’t handle Sonny’s business it means the end of their relationship.

Lucy suggests to Maxie that Mac replace the magic wand dancer that dropped out of the show. Maxie refuses to let her step-father be one of the magic wands and rushes Lucy out of the Metro Court before anyone can recognize her but Maxie is unaware that one of Victor’s men has followed Felicia to the Metro Court and has recognized Lucy. The man tells Victor that he saw Lucy at the Metro Court and she left in a fancy car from a car service.

Ashley turns down Tucker’s marriage proposal and tells him that she wants him to persuade Devon to buy McCall Unlimited because she doesn’t want Newman Enterprises to buy the company.

Jeremy shows everyone his marriage license and Michael looks at the marriage license and says that it’s legitimate.

Chance arrives to question everyone. Diane has to tell Chance about her argument with Phyllis. Chance tells everyone that they can go home but not leave town. Leanne Love is determined to get to the bottom of the story to put it up on her website.

Daniel and Summer return to the Gala. Summer and Daniel ask Chance to find Phyllis because the ambulance never arrived at the hospital. Chance makes some calls and tells everyone that there was a report of a car accident involving an ambulance.

Cameron says goodbye to his family after they surprise him with a special breakfast. Cameron considers not leaving because his family needs him but Elizabeth tells him it is time for him to pursue his dream. Cameron promises Jake and Aiden that he will come back home as often as possible. Cameron also tells his brothers that if they need him all they have to do is call him.

Josslyn tells Trina that she is dating someone, but she can’t tell her who the person is right now, but Trina figures out that the person is Dex.

Selina Wu gives Sonny a box of things that belonged to the man who tried to shoot him. Selina tells Sonny she was unable to find out the name of the man who shot at him but hopefully his things will give him a clue to the identity of the man.

Dex finds Deputy Mayor Ashby’s body in the harbor and Sonny calls the police. Jordan and Laura, arrive and Laura asks Sonny to go tell Valentin that Deputy Mayor Ashby is dead.

Drew is also at the safe house talking to Anna and Valentin. When Sonny arrives, everyone figures out Victor killed Deputy Mayor Ashby after she told him their plan to put him in jail.

Spencer and Esme take Ace to the doctor and Austin tells Esme and Spencer that the baby has colic and with medication to get rid of his gas he will be fine.

Spencer meets with his Uncle Victor because something needs to be done about Esme.

This is a special episode dedicated to saying farewell to Epiphany Johnson whose portrayer Sonya Eddy died suddenly in December due to complications from surgery.

A woman arrives at the hospital chapel and tells Elizabeth and Finn that she is a nurse who was driving home from work and she hit a light pole which made her car catch fire. The woman explains that she was able to get out of the car and that is when she saw Epiphany. The nurse helped treat her injuries and stayed with her until the ambulance arrived. The woman explains that when she awakened at the hospital, she was told by the staff that Epiphany collapsed at the accident and died due to smoke inhalation affecting her pre-existing heart condition.

Epiphany’s friends gather at the hospital chapel for a celebration of her life. Anna’s grand-daughter Emma Drake returns to go to the memorial service and stops by the safe house to see Anna and explains to Anna that since her parents Noah and Robin couldn’t come to the service, she would come and attend the memorial service.

Everyone gathered at the hospital chapel shares memories of Epiphany, and the audience sees clips of Epiphany in scenes with each friend who is sharing a memory.

Diane, who is the executor of Epiphany’s will, tells Liesl that Epiphany wanted her to do something special for her memorial service. Once the memorial service was finished, Diane asks everyone to head over to the roof. Diane reads a note from Epiphany telling one to cry if they must but she would much rather go out with a bang. Liesl lights the fuse that starts the beautiful fireworks show.

Elizabeth gets a a call from Monica who was unable to be at the service because she was the keynote speaker at a medical conference. Monica tells Elizabeth that Diane brought her the letter Epiphany wrote for the ethics committee. In the letter Epiphany wrote that Elizabeth was a great nurse who cares deeply for people who need help and sometimes that can lead to making the wrong choice for the right reason. Epiphany continues her letter by saying that Elizabeth always takes responsibility for her actions and that is why she was going to recommend her for the head nurse position before she left for medical school at John’s Hopkins in the fall.

Monica tells Elizabeth that she intends to honor Epiphany’s last wish and recommend to the board that she be made head nurse. The audience hears Epiphany singing the song You’re Not Alone Anymore as the audience sees clips of her before the show ends with a picture of her and a moment of silence.

The Bicentennial Gala continues, Devon apologizes to Amanda for hurting her and she tells him not to worry because she will heal from the pain he caused her.

Ashley and Tucker are at the Abbott mansion where she is livid that Jack is marrying Diane and she tells Tucker she will make sure Diane will never become part of the Abbott family.

Phyllis is at the GCAC Lounge telling everyone that Diane hasn’t changed and she is the only one who can see the real Diane. Phyllis tells everyone that Diane stole her life because now everyone thinks she is a bad person because she doesn’t think Diane has changed at all. Phyllis gets so worked up that she gets dizzy and passes out. Nate and Elena tend to her until the paramedics arrive, and Elena tells Daniel and Summer that Phyllis is stable but tests need to be done to determine what is wrong with her. Diane notices that Phyllis has the ring Jack gave her in her hand. Jack remembers that Jeremy bumped into him and he must have taken the ring out of his pocket. Diane wonders why Jeremy would steal the ring and give it to Phyllis. Jeremy enters the lounge before Phyllis is taken to the hospital. Jeremy gives Phyllis a kiss on the forehead and tells her he will be with her soon at the hospital. Jeremy tells everyone he and Phyllis got married three days ago because Phyllis wanted protection because she thought Diane was going to do something to her. Jeremy asks Diane what she did to his wife. Tucker tells Ashley that she should shake things up and .marry him.

The bicentennial gala continues and Danny and Gina Romalotti arrive to join the celebration.

Diane apologizes to Kyle and Jack for the scene with Phyllis and she explains that Phyllis told her Kyle was sick to get her up to that room. Diane tells Kyle she sent him a text message and when he didn’t respond to the text message, she got worried and went up to the room. Kyle tells Diane he lost his phone again. Aura finds Kyle’s phone and returns it to him and Kyle sees that Diane did send him a message.

Jack and Diane decide to announce their engagement even though Jack can’t find the engagement ring which was in his pocket. Jeremy tells Phyllis that he stole the ring from Jack’s pocket. Jeremy tells Phyllis that now its time for the hardest and most important part of their plan.

Billy and Chelsea kiss after they talk and have a cup of coffee at Crimson Lights.

Cameron encourages Esme to show people that she isn’t the person that she used to be. Cameron also tells Esme she has to accept help because she can’t raise Ace on her own. Cameron’s friends and family gather at Kelly’s to give Cameron a going away party before he goes to Stanford.

Deputy Mayor Ashby is afraid Victor will kill her when he takes her to the pier so she tells him that Anna, Lucy, and Valentin are alive and he she also tells him the necklace is fake and Victor has one more thing she wants her to do. Deputy Mayor Ashby calls Anna and tells her that she is leaving town. Victor promised Deputy Mayor Ashby he will help her get out of town, but he kills her.

Lucy decides to leave the safe house again because nobody but her can be the host of the Nurses Ball. Elizabeth is worried about Epiphany, so she calls her cell phone and is surprised when a state Trooper answers the phone and tells Elizabeth she has bad news about her friend. Elizabeth listens to the State Trooper and starts to cry.

Nina arrives at the bicentennial gala just to tell Abby that she will never forgive her for hurting Chance when she slept with Devon. Christine and Jill remind Nina that she was younger when she seduced Philip and got pregnant by him even though he was Christine’s boyfriend at the time.

Jill tells Victor that Devon dropped the lawsuit, but he still hasn’t decided if he is going to stay and work at Chancellor Winters or buy McCall Unlimited and run Tucker’s company.

Chelsea feels overwhelmed after Leanna Love asks her a bunch of questions which she doesn’t answer because Chloe rescues her from Leanna, and Billy decides to take Chelsea home.

Phyllis pushes all of Diane’s buttons and provokes Diane into a catfight.

Kyle, Jack, and Summer are looking for Diane and Phyllis because Leanna told Kyle she saw Diane go upstairs after talking to Phyllis. Summer finds out from the desk clerk that Phyllis rented a room and gets the room number. Kyle, Jack, and Summer arrive at the room just in time to see Diane with her hands around Phyllis’s throat and telling Phyllis maybe she should do the world a favor and kill her right now.

Anna and Valentin give Deputy Mayor Ashby the fake necklace to give to Victor and when she meets with Victor. She worries when he starts to examine the necklace closely.

Cameron tells Dex that if he hurts Jocelyn he will tell Sonny that he and Josslyn are a couple and Sonny will be very angry. Dex tells Cameron that he would never hurt Jocelyn because she means a lot to him.

Laura leaves Esme alone with baby Ace to prove that she trusts her and gives her some money in case of emergency. Esme decides to leave with the baby, but Cameron arrives and wonders if Esme is going somewhere.

Sonny suspects Salina Wu is the person targeting him, but she denies the allegation and promises to help him find out who wants him dead.

The Genoa City bicentennial gala continues where Genoa City residents gather at the Athletic Club to celebrate the place they call home. Leeanna Love crashes the party looking for juicy gossip for her column and she hopes to get enough stories for another book.

Abby, Nikki, and Victor dedicate the newly renovated Athletic Club lounge as the Neil Winters Jazz Lounge and a beautiful painting of Neil which captures his personality and characteristic smile hangs in the lounge hung in a place where it can be seen when people walk into the lounge. Devon and Lily are deeply moved by Nikki and Victor choosing to honor Neil in this special way. Victor tells Devon and Lily that he is sure Neil would want them to resolve the differences between them. Lily and Devon sit and look at their father’s painting and Lily asks Devon if they could try and fix their relationship.

Elena arrives at the gala and notices Nate and Victoria having a drink together and thinks that Audra might be right about their connection.

Jack and Diane decide not to announce their engagement at the gala.

Phyllis tells Daniel and Summer that no matter what happens she is proud of them.

Jeremy sets things up for their plan and tells Phyllis it’s time to get Diane up to the hotel room for the final stage of the plan.

Sasha decides to pay Gladys for being her conservator and Gladys feels guilty because Cody knows that she has been using Sasha’s money to gamble. Cody agrees to be one of Magic Milo’s magic wands for the Nurse’s Ball. Cody advises Sasha that before she puts Gladys on the payroll she should trust but verify.

Jordan advises Curtis that if he meant the wedding vows he said to Portia he should forgive her. The ethics committee decides to reinstate Elizabeth to her job because Finn and Terri persuaded the committee that Elizabeth helped Esme because she thought Nikolas might harm her.

Gregory tells Alexis he is sick but he doesn’t tell her what illness he has and makes her promise not to tell Chase or Finn.

Marshall tells Portia the results of his genetic counseling and she thinks he should contact the doctor who diagnosed him with schizophrenia and talk to him. Marshall calls Stella to see if his medical records are in her sister Irene’s papers.

Trina tells Spencer she understands why Esme and baby Ace are living with him in Kevin and Laura’s house but tells him to keep an eye on Esme in case she is faking her amnesia or her memory returns.

Adam and Victoria argue about what Victor intends to do if he acquires McCall Unlimited. Nate defends Victoria when Adam tells her she doesn’t know how to run the company. Adam notices the connection between Nate and Victoria and teases Victoria and Nate about it.

Devon tries to decide if he should stay at Chancellor Winters or go ahead with the arbitration.

Sharon accepts Adam’s invitation to go with him to the gala.

Jack and Diane tell Kyle and Summer that they plan to announce their engagement at the gala. Jack is upset that Ashley r going to the gala with Tucker. The gala begins as everyone starts to arrive at the Athletic Club to celebrate the bicentennial of Genoa City.
