Jennifer heard Kate’s call and thought she wanted to meet Jack. She confronted Kate about the phone call. She told Jennifer how she wasn’t talking to Jack. Gwen apologized to Jack for the way she spoke to him at the park. Tripp went to see Ava at the station. He assured her that Rafe had to arrest her, but Kayla would come through for them. She didn’t think Kayla would help her. Steve wanted to know if Kayla was going to the station to talk to Trask about Ava. Kayla felt like Ava was more concerned about herself than she was about Joey. He decided to go to the station to see what he could do to help Ava. Gwen was trying to get info out of Jack. He told her how things didn’t go well with Jennifer. Steve went to the station and heard Ava talking about Kayla. He told her to stop doing it. She thought Kayla chose Allie’s side instead of Tripp’s side. Kayla showed up after all and said she needed a lawyer. She brought Justin and Trask with her. Trask said she didn’t have the authority to just release a convicted criminal. Jennifer continued to grill Kate until Bonnie showed up. Jack continued to tell Gwen about Jennifer when Kate showed up. He left so they talked. Kate put her on notice about not being able to trust her. She didn’t want Gwen telling about her being with Jake. She said she would keep her mouth shut about it.

Jennifer talked to Bonnie about what happened with Kate. They changed the subject and talked about Justin. Bonnie hoped she could make Justin feel better about losing Adrienne. Kate and Gwen continued to talk about whether she would tell about her affair with Jake. Gwen kept saying that she wouldn’t say anything. Kate wanted to know what she wanted in return for her silence. Gwen said could keep Jake. Kate suspected that she wanted Chad instead of Jake. Trask didn’t want to overturn Joey’s conviction at first. Kayla and Ava talked her into it. Steve was about to let Tripp know that he had to move out. Jack walked in the room and saw Kate. He didn’t feel comfortable being in the same room as her now that Jennifer knew the truth. Gwen went to see Jennifer with pictures from the kids. Ava was upset about Steve and Kayla throwing Tripp out. She called Kayla out for not believing Tripp after what she did for Joey. She wanted him to stay with her. Steve wasn’t happy about that idea and Kayla wanted to talk about it some more. Tripp was fine with living with Ava. Gwen made it seem to Jennifer like Jack and Kate were still together. Jack talked to Kate about working things out with Jennifer. She warned him about Gwen. He wanted to know what she meant, but she didn’t say anything.

Jennifer saw Gwen having a fit at the park. Gwen talked about destroying Abby and turned around to see Jennifer standing there. Gwen was about to explain herself, but Jennifer didn’t hear what she said. She was concerned about her fit because she took care of her grandkids. Kayla went home and asked Steve if he threw Tripp out. He tried to explain but Ava walked out of the room. Chad asked Abby if she had an affair with Jake. He let her know how it wouldn’t be the first time she slept with one of his brothers. Abby was shocked that he threw that up in her face. She told him how she had an illness and wouldn’t have hurt him. Jack walked in and wondered what happened. Nicole ran into Tripp and couldn’t believe he didn’t go near his son. Tripp wanted to know if it was okay for Allie to point a gun at him. Kayla demanded an explanation from Steve about Ava being alive. He told her Rolf was why she was alive. Kayla couldn’t believe she allowed Joey to be in prison for four years. Gwen told Jennifer how she was upset about what Jack did and how Abby forgave him. Abby had to excuse herself so Jack asked Chad what happened. Chad told him how he accused Abby of cheating on him. Nicole went back and forth with Tripp about Allie. Kayla choked Ava and Steve tried to stop her. She couldn’t believe he needed to have Ava arrested. He tried to explain, but she was too upset to listen. Ava let her know that she could file attempted murder charges against her.

Jack wanted answers from Chad about what happened with Abby. He told him how he kicked her while she was down. Jack blamed himself for Chad accusing Abby of sleeping with Jake. Gwen implied that Jack could still be sleeping with Kate. Jennifer ended up using the bat herself. Ava tried to convince Kayla to drop the kidnapping charges against her and she would help Joey. She wanted Kayla to think about her offer. Nicole talked to Tripp about Ava. He was surprised that she was the only person who didn’t badmouth his mother. She mentioned how she did bad things too. She couldn’t judge Ava because of her actions. He said that she judged him and she let him know he wouldn’t own up to what he did. Kayla couldn’t believe Steve allowed Ava in their house. He explained how he wanted to watch her. Chad apologized to Abby for what he said to her. She said she would forgive him, but she needed to some space from him. He walked off and Gwen showed up. She wanted to know what happened. Abby told her how Chad accused her of sleeping with Jake. Jack found Jennifer and asked her if she was picking up young men. He wanted to make things better between them. Tripp showed up and found out Kayla knew about Ava. Ava came out and said it’s up to her whether Joey would be able to get out of prison.

Jennifer ended up with a hangover after hanging out with Bonnie. She told Julie about her night with Bonnie. She wanted to get back at Jack for what he did to Kate. She liked how the guy she was with seemed interested in her. Jack was with Justin and hoped Jennifer didn’t do anything with the guy. Bonnie made it sound like something happened with the guys she and Jennifer met. Jack was shocked until Bonnie let him know she was joking with him. Chad showed up at the garage to see Jake so Kate hid from him. Chad noticed the bed and realized he wasn’t alone. Rafe was surprised when Abe asked him to be the commissioner again. Abe mentioned how Hope wasn’t ready to be back on the force when left. Rafe said he tracked Hope down and talked to her. She didn’t just want to be back on the force. Jack lost his appetite and left the pub. Justin couldn’t believe what Bonnie did to Jack. Abby talked to Gwen and let her know how Gabi left town. She was surprised Gabi didn’t pick things up with Jake. She also told her how she didn’t think Gabi was the one who drugged her. Gwen thought she did, but Abby wanted to confront her about it. Gwen thought she would have lied, but Abby would have known. Gwen wondered who would have done it since Abby was so sweet. Chad thought Jake was with Gabi, but he said he wasn’t with her.

Rafe continued to talk to Abe about what happened when he found Hope. He told him how Hope wasn’t interested in a relationship right now because she wanted to focus on finding Ciara. Abe couldn’t believe Rafe wasn’t willing to wait for her. Hope would wait, but he knew she didn’t want to come back to Salem or be with him. Abe thought he should try, but he didn’t think it would change. Chad remembered how Jake was with Gabi before she left town so he wanted to know what happened. He told him how he broke up with Gabi because of Gwen. Gwen thought things were probably weird at the Spectator because of what happened with her parents. Jack arrived while they were talking. Gwen told him how Abby wasn’t to blame for what happened at the party. He let her know how he apologized to her. Jack hugged Abby and Gwen wasn’t happy about it. Chad found it hard to believe that Jake would get back together with Gwen. Rafe agreed to be the commissioner. Abe told him how Ava was alive. Bonnie didn’t understand why she didn’t hear from Justin. He told her why he didn’t call her. She was willing to be with two people, but he didn’t want to share her. She admitted that she didn’t do anything with the guy she met. After Chad left, Jake wondered if Kate thought he believed what he said. She didn’t think he believed him. She wasn’t sure if they should be together anymore. He wanted to know why she cared so much about what Jack thought. Chad thought about finding Abby’s scarf at the garage and how she was with Jake. Allie told Nicole about what she did to Tripp. Nicole was glad that she didn’t go through with shooting him. She wanted to know who stopped her. Allie told her it was his mother. Philip was surprised to see Chloe. They talked and she let him know that she would be working for Nicole. He told her about Xander and how he was after him. Ava asked Tripp not to tell Steve how she’s alive. He told her how Steve stood by his side and couldn’t keep it from him. Steve walked in the room and saw Ava. He wished she was still dead. Nicole told Allie about Allie. Steve couldn’t believe Ava had the nerve to show up in Salem. She told Steve he should be glad she was back and he knew she meant Joey. Xander read the info that Sarah got from Philip’s computer. He was convinced he could bring Philip down with the info. Chloe wanted to know what happened between Philip and Mimi since he dumped her for her. He started to explain what happened. He said he was afraid to get hurt by her and went with Mimi. He told her how he was gambling with Mimi and things got out of hand. Nicole was going to call the police on Ava, but Allie stopped her. She said the police would find out what she did and she didn’t want to go to jail instead of Tripp. Roman, Abe, and Kayla talked about Steve and Tripp. She wanted Tripp out of her place because she couldn’t look at him.

Ava told Steve that Joey tried to kill her and he said he paid for his crime. Steve wanted to take her out of his place, but Tripp wanted him to be careful with her. Ava wanted to talk about things before they did anything. Nicole called Abe and asked him to come over so she could talk to him. Ava was willing to help get Joey out of prison as long as she didn’t go too. Steve wanted to know how he would be able to get Joey out without the police knowing she was alive. She warned him that she had the resources to retaliate against him. Tripp told Steve he was glad she was back because she saved him from Allie. Nicole told Abe about Ava being back. She didn’t want him to go to the police and he wanted to know why. Allie told him that she would go to jail if he said something. Nicole tried to defend Allie and said she didn’t mean to shoot Tripp, but she said she wanted to shoot him. Ava told Steve how she had the gun Allie used when she tried to shoot Tripp. Steve couldn’t believe she happened to be there when it happened. Ava told him that they could both stand by Tripp’s side. Abe agreed not to say anything for now.

Philip told Sarah he was going to work, but she suggested he work from home so he could avoid seeing Xander. Philip called Ava and left his briefcase on the desk. Sarah went in the briefcase and got his laptop. She downloaded files to a flash drive. When Philip came back, he asked her what she was doing with his laptop. She lied and said she was getting things ready for the charity. Kayla and Steve got in an argument over Tripp moving out. Steve said he wanted to support Tripp. She said she only saw a rapist whenever she looked at Tripp. She told him how it bothered her too. He didn’t want to abandon his son after letting him know that he supported him. She said she hated doing this to him, but there was no other choice. He told her he was being stubborn and put her through a lot. He finally agreed to do what he wanted.

Ava took the gun from Allie and pointed it at her. Tripp stood in front of Allie and asked Ava not to shoot her. He said she could go to jail. He didn’t want to lose her again. She put the gun down. She told Allie not to bother Tripp again. Allie agreed to leave him alone. She asked for the gun back because it was her grandmother’s. Ava told her to leave. Allie ran out. Tripp wanted to know how Ava was still alive. She said Rolf brought her back to life. She wanted to find him, but she didn’t want to get caught. She couldn’t let anyone know she was alive, but she was glad he knew. He didn’t know if he would be able to keep the secret since Joey was in prison for killing her. She didn’t care about the person who tried to kill her. She wanted him to keep her secret so they could reconnect. He told her Allie knew the truth too. Ava didn’t think Allie would go to the police because of what she did. He wanted to tell Steve because he has stood by him. Steve walked in and was surprised to see Ava. Allie went home and told Nicole what she did to Tripp. Allie told her that she put a gun on him. She told Nicole that his mother stopped her from shooting him. Nicole thought it was impossible because Ava was dead. Allie said she wasn’t dead anymore.

Ava wanted to go after Tripp, but Kristen stopped her from going. Allie had a gun and wanted to shoot Tripp. Tripp tried to stop her from shooting him. She wanted him to face up to what he did. She wanted him to tell the truth about what he did that night. Lani didn’t want Eli at the hospital with her. Kayla wanted to leave them alone. He said he had the right to be there. Lani changed her mind and let him stay. Ava wanted to go to Tripp. Kristen warned her that she could make a mistake. She suggested that she get a disguise, but Ava didn’t have time. He threatened to fire him if he didn’t say why he was really using his computer. He told him how Xander made him spy on him. Ava went to see Kristen at the prison. Kristen told her that Xander was there too and he was asking about her. Philip told Charlie that Xander needed to accept that there was nothing to get on him. Sarah tried to spy on Philip by using Christmas decorations. While they were working on the decorations, she tried to pump him about his meeting at the town square. Xander went to see Kristen to find out about Angela Van Decamp. She said she knew who she was so he wanted to know about her. Bonnie talked to Jennifer about Justin blowing her off. Bonnie realized that Jennifer didn’t care because she had a happy marriage. She told Bonnie it wasn’t true. Jack told Justin about what happened with Kate. He didn’t think he would be able to get her back after what happened. Sarah continued to pump Philip about what he did while he was gone from Salem. Kristen told Xander that she had nothing to do with what was going on with Angela. Kristen told him that she wouldn’t lift a finger to help him and hoped someone was going after the company.

Sarah asked Philip about the women he dated while he was gone. They ended up talking about him being with Belle. Xander tried to convince Kristen to help him because Philip was trying to destroy Titan. She didn’t care until he told her Titan was Brady’s legacy too. She told him how Brady was finished with the company. Xander told her it was Brady’s kids’ legacy too. Philip wanted Sarah to help him get over Belle by getting him in the Christmas spirit. He wanted to throw a Christmas event and donate the proceeds to the hospital. He thought Xander would be upset that she was working with him. Kristen refused to help Xander save Titan. She just told him that it wouldn’t be a good idea to cross Angela or he would end up killed. Xander went home and told Sarah what happened. Sarah wanted to know if Kristen knew if she was involved. She said something fell in her lap and it would only work if Philip weren’t suspicious of her. Kristen called Ava and told her to come to the prison. Jack wished Adrienne were around because she knew what to say to make him feel better. Justin insisted that he should fight for Jennifer. He decided to meet with Jennifer at Julie’s Place. Bonnie thought she and Jennifer should move on and find real men. Bonnie saw two men and wanted to invite them to their table. Jack and Justin showed up at Julie’s Place and saw Bonnie and Jennifer. Rafe talked to Roman about why he really left town. They also talked about Ciara and why Hope left town. Gabi got a shock when she found Jake with Kate. She couldn’t believe he was with her. He wanted to know why she cared about who he was with and why she was in town. Claire blamed herself for what happened to John. Marlena tried to make her feel better about what happened. Marlena blamed Jan for why he was in jail. Belle talked to John about what happened with Jan. She tried to assure him how Jan and Sami were responsible for his behavior. Abe and Shawn discussed the commissioner position. Abe wanted him to be the commissioner. They also talked about Hope. Shawn was afraid Hope would never find Ciara. Rafe felt bad for not being there for Hope. He hoped she would find peace soon. Gabi got upset at the idea of Kate being with Jake. Kate was about to leave when Jake stopped her. Jake called Gabi out for the way she treated him before she left. She told him that it was a lie. Belle told John that he wouldn’t be at the station if it weren’t for Sami. Marlena walked in while she talked about Sami. She seemed to understand why Belle thought the way she did, but John didn’t see it that he. He understood why she did what she did. Gabi talked to Jake and Kate about what happened when she left town. She didn’t think he would have been in bed with Kate.

Shawn didn’t want to take the commissioner position because he and Belle were going back to Hong Kong soon. Belle showed up to ask if Abe could pull some strings to get John out of jail. He couldn’t do it because the courts were closed. He would make sure his case was the first one. Rafe blamed himself for not being there for Hope during the worst time in her life. Roman tried to make him feel better about leaving. Rafe wanted to find Hope and let her know that he loved her. Jake tried to make Gabi feel better about being with Kate, but she didn’t want to hear it. She wanted him to move to Arizona with her. She thanked both of them for being together so they didn’t have to do it. Kate asked Gabi not to tell Chad about her sleeping with Jake. She said she wouldn’t stop her by telling him. Shawn wanted to marry Belle after the charges were dropped against John. Jake told Kate how much she meant to him. She was moved by what he said and was glad they weren’t just using each other.

Julie apologized to Jennifer for inviting Jack over for Thanksgiving. Julie said she talked to him and he said he loved Jennifer. Julie asked if she could forgive him. Jennifer said she was thinking about it and understood why he was with Kate. She said she couldn’t forgive him for lying about it. Julie said he lied to protect her. Jennifer said it didn’t justify what he did. Abby apologized to Jack for bringing the letter to the party. She said she apologized to Jennifer. Abby said she was mad at him and wanted him to hurt the way they did. She apologized again and wanted him to forgive her. He said he knew he messed up with Kate, but he made a bigger mistake yelling at Abby. He said he forgave her and hope she forgave him for what he said to her. She wondered if Jennifer would be able to get over it. He didn’t think she would. Kate talked to Jake about Allie. Kate said she was sad for Allie. He said she was fierce and her love would help Allie. They ended up making love.

Roman ran into Rafe. Rafe told him he was back for Hope. Roman said Hope wasn’t in town. He told him what happened to Ciara. He said Hope thought she was still alive. He asked Rafe about his mother. Rafe said it was a lie. He told Roman his father’s mistake put their family in danger. He said they dealt with the problem once the family was safe. He said his parents were in Mexico and he and Gabi were in Salem. Gabi went to the DiMera mansion. Chad said he thought she was in Mexico. He told her to go back there. She said she was home. He told her she wasn’t after what she did to Abby. Gwen came in when Gabi said she didn’t drug Abby. Gabi said the person was still out there. Gabi wanted to know why Gwen was there. He said Gwen was the nanny. Gabi asked about Jake. Gwen told Gabi not to be surprised if Jake moved on after the way she dumped him and said she used him to get DiMera back. Gabi said everything was a lie. She wanted to know where he was so she could tell him the truth. Gwen thought about catching Jake and Kate together. She told her to try the garage. After her conversation with Gwen, Gabi went to the garage. Abby came in when Gabi left. Chad told her Gabi was back. Gabi found Jake and Kate in bed together.

Chad had a dream about Abby having sex with Jake. Gwen went to see Chad. She pretended to look for Abby. He confided in her about picturing Abby’s head in Jake’s lap. He wasn’t sure what Abby was thinking of at the time. Gwen assured him that Abby wouldn’t cheat on her. He didn’t like how Abby slipped out. Jake and Kate got dressed when Chad showed up at the garage. He wanted to know if Abby was there. Kate hid before Chad saw her. Chad noticed the cot in the garage. He asked him if he was sleeping there. He said he was working on Stefano’s old car. They ended up arguing over the company until Chad left. Kate came out of hiding and asked if he really wanted to move up the corporate ladder. He confirmed he was serious. He let her know that Gwen knew about them. She was upset about it, but he assured her that Gwen was focused on other things.

Abby went to JJ’s room to see Jennifer. They hugged each other. She apologized to her mother about what she did. Jennifer didn’t think it was fault. Abby wondered if she would be able to work things out with Jack. Jennifer didn’t want to think about that. She wanted to think about what she’s grateful for instead of Jack. Abby went home and talked to Chad about where she was. She wanted to invite Jake for Thanksgiving dinner, but he was completely against it. Jack went to Julie’s place with flowers. She didn’t want to see him. He tried to talk to her, but she gave him a piece of her mind. He wanted to apologize for what he did to Jennifer. Julie finally forgave him. He wondered if Jennifer would do the same. She thought Jennifer would eventually forgive him. He was about to leave when Jennifer showed up. Julie asked her if Jack could stay for dinner, but she didn’t want him to stay.

Jan wanted to know why Marlena wouldn’t pronounce her married to Shawn. She assumed it was because of the rings. Jan realized Brady was missing and threatened to kill Belle if he went to the police. John and Marlena came up with a lie to explain Brady’s disappearance. Brady and Eli broke into the hotel room to look for Belle. They only found a ransacked room. Eli wanted to go to John and Marlena’s place to get to Jan. Philip talked to Maggie about his feelings for Belle. He didn’t understand why he couldn’t get over Belle. Xander and Sarah broke into Ava’s apartment to see if they could find something there. Maggie continued to convince Philip to move on from Belle. Xander found out that the person who had the apartment spent time in a mental institution. Marlena couldn’t stall anymore and pronounced Jan and Shawn married. Jan waited for Shawn to kiss her. Maggie wanted to know if something else was going on with Philip. He said he was dealing with stuff. Jan initiated the kiss, but Brady and Eli showed up. Everyone demanded to know where Belle was so she said she shot her. John ended up choking her.

Brady, Eli, and Shawn finally pulled John off of Jan. Eli called for help. John didn’t mean to hurt her. He snapped when she said Belle was dead. Shawn and John wanted to find Belle. Eli stopped John to arrest him. Philip found Belle in his bed. Brady tried to talk Eli out of arresting John, but he wanted to arrest him anyway. Marlena offered to go to the hospital with Jan. Marlena told John to go with Eli to the station. Brady offered to go with him. Shawn went to the Salem Inn and saw the room. He also found the card that Belle wrote for Shawn. Philip wanted to know why Belle was in his bed when she was supposed to be marrying Shawn. She told him how Jan tried to kill him. Claire was upset about Jan possibly killing her mother. Charlie tried to make her feel better. She blamed herself for what Jan did. Charlie told her it wasn’t her fault. Shawn thought about Jan telling him to let Philip have Belle. He also thought about his last conversation with Philip. He told Eli that Philip was possibly working with Jan. Belle told Philip what happened with Jan. Shawn and Eli showed up at the Kiriakis mansion to see Philip. They told Maggie that they thought he helped Jan. Shawn found Belle in Philip’s room. She explained what happened when Shawn assumed he helped Jan.

Eli told Julie the truth about what happened with Lani. She wanted to know what he was going to do about it. She wanted Abe to kick Eli out of his house. She told him to tell Lani about it. She didn’t want Abe to keep them apart. Eli said he would try to work it out. Lani went to visit Kristen at the prison. She explained how upset she was with Eli. Kristen tried to defend Eli, but she still thought he was wrong. Kristen wanted her to live a good life with Eli. Lani felt like she couldn’t live a good life with him after what he did to Kristen. She asked her if she loved him enough to do anything for him. Jan demanded that Shawn marry her or else Belle would die. Marlena went through with the ceremony. Brady snuck out of the townhouse during the ceremony.

Claire read a poem during the ceremony. Shawn stopped her from reading. Julie reminded Abe about his involvement in Eli and Lani’s situation. She told him how he should have fired Melinda when she wanted him to do it. Kristen let Lani know how Rachel visited her and she didn’t want her to come back again until she talked to Marlena. Kristen told her how she had faith in Lani and Eli. She didn’t want to talk about Eli. She told Lani how she would give anything to be with her family and she didn’t want to be with hers. Kristen advised her to work things out or walk away. Brady found Eli and asked for his help. Eli wasn’t thrilled with him so he told him how Belle’s life was in danger. Jan threatened Shawn unless he went through with the ceremony. Jan said I do to marrying Shawn. Kristen continued to convince Lani to give Eli another chance. She insisted that she work things out with him. Brady was determined to go in the Salem Inn to find Belle. Eli told him how he didn’t know what they were walking in on, but Brady went anyway. Lani didn’t know if she could forgive Eli for what he did. Marlena didn’t pronounce Shawn and Jan man and wife, but stopped herself. Jan wanted to know what was wrong. She looked around and realized Brady was gone.

Sarah hid when Ava opened the door for Philip. Sarah took a picture of Philip and Ava on her phone. Ava and Philip talked about the love they lost. She told him that she saw Tripp. She said wasn’t sure how long she could stay in hiding. He told her to leave town. She said she had to be able to trust him. She told him to take care of Xander or she would. He said they could use Sarah against Xander instead of killing him. Philip said he could push Xander until he did something stupid. She didn’t care what he did as long as he took care of Xander. Philip said he wanted her to leave him alone once he laundered the money and paid off his debts. She said she would. Sarah met up with Xander. She showed him the picture of Ava and Philip. The picture turned out to be a blur. Xander looked for the apartment online. He found out that a man named Fred Nakamura owned it. They didn’t know if that was a clue. He said he would stake out the apartment and break in it to get the proof against Philip. She said they would take Philip down together.

Belle was shocked to see Jan. Jan gave her a wedding gift. Belle wouldn’t take the gift. They argued over the past. Jan said she wanted a second chance the same way Claire got to get one. Belle opened the gift. Snakes came out of the box. Jan laughed at her and pulled out a gun. When Jan was about to shoot Belle, Claire knocked on the door. Jan kept the gun on Belle when she opened the door. Belle told Claire to go to Shawn and ask him about a bracelet. Belle told her that she wanted to get ready alone because she was nervous. Belle told her that she loved her and closed the door. When Claire left, Belle reached for Jan’s gun. At John and Marlena’s place, Shawn got a message from Belle saying she was parking the car. John went to the hallway. Someone dressed in a wedding dress showed up to meet John in the hallway. When Shawn saw her, he told her he couldn’t wait to marry her. When he lifted the veil, the woman turned out to be Jan. She said couldn’t wait to marry him either.
