Update written by Dustin

Willow and Michael celebrate the receipt of Willow’s new passport.  However, Sonny interrupts to try to convince Michael and Willow that it will be best to allow Nina to see Wiley in order to keep the visitation matter out of court. Sonny believes that by dealing directly with Nina, Michael can dictate the exact terms of the arrangement. Michael becomes angry and tells Sonny that he is once again siding with Nina over his family.  Sonny gets emotional and tells Michael that coming back to Salem after being gone so long was incredibly difficult. But, he will always do what is best for their family.

In Austria, Anna posed as an attorney representing a widow (Felicia) in hopes of finding some discrepancies in the evidence regarding the cable car crash. The records clerk was reluctant to let Anna review the records but she eventually convinced him to let her have a look.  Anna found that the cable car’s departure had been delayed for several minutes and theorizes that it was being held in order to allow the always fashionably late Luke to board. After Felicia leaves the file room to check to see where the file clerk has gone, one of Victor’s men enters the file room and approaches Anna with a gun.

At the Port Charles Grill, Nina and Ava have lunch to catch up. Ava hints that with Carly out of the way, Nina could finally get what she wants. After pressing Nina about her feelings, Nina admits she still has feelings for Sonny.

Victor was pleased that he was able to steal the tarot card he believes will activate Drew’s mental conditioning.  He is unaware that the tarot card is a trap set for him by Laura, Robert, Dante and Sam.  Victor tells one of his men that if the card doesn’t work that Drew will have to be eliminated.

At General Hospital, Drew helps Elizabeth get some stuck potato chips from the vending machine and hears about the situation with Jake. Drew tells Elizabeth that while he doesn’t doubt her parenting skills for a moment, he is always there for her if she needs someone to listen..

Finn runs into Monica near the elevators and informs her he has decided to hold off on his relationship with Elizabeth.  Elizabeth tells Monica that Jake is having some behavioral issues and is seeing a psychiatrist.  This apparently convinces Monica to have Jason declared legally dead, hoping this will provide some finality to the matter.  At the Quartermaine mansion she informs Michael, Willow and Sonny of her decision.

At Charlie’s Pub; Laura, Robert, Dante and Sam discuss their plans to expose Victor’s crimes. Eileen confronts Laura. When Eileen presses Laura on the purpose of her meeting at Charlie’s, Laura admits she has reason to believe Luke was murdered. Laura purposely plants this information with Eileen, knowing that she will immediately tell Victor, exposing her duplicity.

Victor called Drew and said it was important for them to meet in person.

Young & The Restless Update

Recap written by Christine

Victor was at Crimson Lights with Nick. He said Michael sent him proof that the doctor received a lot of money from a subsidiary of Locke Communications. Nick thought that was careless on Ashland’s part. Victor said it was obvious that Ashland didn’t think Victor would investigate him. Victor revealed that Michael was missing. Victor suspected Ashland had a hand in it. Nick asked how much Victoria knew. Victor said he told Victoria everything, but Ashland tried talking his way out of it. Nick asked what they’d do if Victoria refused to believe the information in front of her.

Nick was against the marriage from the beginning, because he saw how easily Victoria was manipulated by Ashland. Nick said that Victoria had been brainwashed into thinking Ashland was the victim. Victor said Ashland convinced Victoria to make him co-CEO. Nick stated that Victoria spent years fighting for sole control of the company, then she just gave it up. Nick asked Victor what he was going to do. Victor wanted Nick to talk to Victoria, since Victor and Nikki had already failed to get through to her. Nick pointed out that Victoria cut him out for trying to talk to her about Ashland at the wedding, and their relationship never recovered. Nick didn’t know what he could do when Victoria was siding with Ashland despite all the evidence and Michael going missing. “Son I’m asking you to do it for me. For the family,” Victor said.

Adam called Victor a couple of times to see if there had been any updates from Michael, but Victor didn’t answer. Adam told Sally that he wasn’t sure if his dad was busy or icing him out again. Sally thought Adam worried way too much about what Victor did. That wasn’t the first time Adam heard that. “Face it. You are barely even on his radar. He is all about the princess,” Sally said. Adam knew Sally meant Victoria. Sally said that it could be good that Victor wasn’t focused on Newman Media right now. She reminded him that he’d said the situation could work in his favor. Adam confided that Ashland may have done something that he would be able to take advantage of. But there were no guarantees. Sally said that if things went south between Ashland and Victoria, Newman Locke could suffer, and that could create an opening. Adam smiled and called Sally Lady Macbeth.

Sally told Adam not to be melodramatic – she wasn’t suggesting he seize any thrones. He teased that becoming COO made her become drunk with power. He wanted to hear her take. She didn’t know the details on the Ashland situation, so she was flying blind, but she said Victor made it clear he was going to look out for Victoria, Ashland was going to look out for himself, and Victoria was going to protect her pride and family, with the exception of Adam. To Sally, that meant Adam had to look out for himself, with Sally backing him the whole way, and if that meant he had to step up and fill a leadership void, so be it. At that moment, Victor walked in, and he wanted time alone with his son. Sally left the room and pressed her ear to the closed door. Adam was starting to feel Victor was ignoring him. Victor said he had a lot on his mind, and it had nothing to do with Adam. He said Victoria wouldn’t listen to him. Adam assumed Victor had a plan that Adam could help with. Victor said he asked Nick to talk to Victoria. “That’s it? You’ve gotta be kidding me,” Adam replied. Adam asked if Nick was going to wave his magic wand or invoke his special sibling bond to get Victoria to turn against her husband. He said Victoria was impervious to logic right now, and she’d put the company in the hands in a ruthless shark. Adam said they knew who Ashland was all along, and Victoria failed the family.

At Newman Locke, Victoria confronted Ashland with the evidence Victor gave her. Ashland claimed it was all part of Victor’s plan to paint him as a charlatan who faked a terminal illness. Victoria said there was proof that, while Ashland was CEO of Locke Communications, a substantial amount of money was transferred from a Locke division into the pocket of the doctor who was now accusing Ashland of fabricating cancer. “Kudos to Victor. He wanted to dig up dirt on me and he found someone who was willing to accommodate him,” Ashland groused. He couldn’t wait to get his hands on the person trying to set him up. Ashland apologized for losing his temper. Victoria was as upset about this as Ashland was. She just thought they needed to redirect their energy and find a way to fix this.

Victoria said that if they found out who authorized the transfer of money from Locke Communications to the doctor in Peru, they could find out who was behind this. She said the radio division was low key, so Ashland must know who had access to it. Unless it was a hack job, this had to be someone on the inside. He blamed Victor, and Victoria ordered him not to go there. She was sure that her father would never hurt her in this way. Ashland said the Newmans had been trying to interfere in the relationship since he and Victoria met. Victoria said that was only Nicholas. Ashland suggested that Victor was doing this because he didn’t want Ashland to be co-CEO. Victoria said Victor wouldn’t go to these lengths because he disagreed with her on a business decision. Ashland kept arguing his side of things until Victoria asked him to stop fighting her on this. She asked why someone would want to frame Ashland. He said that someone wanted to hurt him in the worst way possible, by making Victoria and others think that he could do something like this. He didn’t care what everyone else thought, but he needed to know she believed him.

Victoria said she knew Ashland was innocent. He was relieved. She said they had to quickly find out who was setting him up. He refused to let this person rob him and Victoria of their happiness together. Nate texted Ashland wanting to meet. Ashland was sure Victor had turned Nate against him. Victoria suggested that Nate was going to say he was behind Ashland. Ashland felt more optimistic that Nate would be on his side. He was sure he’d get through this, with Victoria’s support. They hugged, and when he couldn’t see her face, she looked uncertain. He left. Later, Nick showed up, and Victoria asked why he had the nerve to show his face here.

Nick said that Victor asked him to come make Victoria see reason. He didn’t know how she’d react. She asked why he was bothering. He said she was his sister, and he cared about her and her happiness. She asked why he was trying to destroy her marriage, then. He sympathized with the pressure she was under. He wanted to see if there was a chance she changed her mind about Ashland. He was there for her if she needed a sounding board. Victoria softened and she said she didn’t know what to believe anymore. “It can’t be true, can it?,” she asked.

Ashland met Nate at Society. Nate was icy toward Ashland. Ashland surmised that Victor had gotten to Nate. Ashland pointed out that Nate had seen his test results, so he knew the cancer was real. Nate said it occurred to him that those results were all he had to go on, and he’d gotten them from Ashland. Nate hated the thought that someone would use a horrible disease for financial gain, or worse to deceive Victoria and her family. Nate didn’t like being used, so he dug deeper. Nate recalled Ashland saying his cancer was discovered during a chest x-ray after his heart attack. Nate went through the hospital archives and pulled the scans performed after Ashland’s hear attack. He admitted he’d crossed a line, ethically speaking. There was no cancer on those chest x-rays. Ashland kept making up excuses – Nate looked at the wrong x ray, or someone manipulated the scan in his medical file. Nate figured Ashland was going to say that, so he’d delved further into the records. He’d learned that Ashland never got chemotherapy at Memorial Hospital, or any of its affiliated centers. “You don’t have cancer. It’s all been one big colossal lie,” Nate said. Ashland said he could make one phone call and get Nate’s medical license revoked. Nate didn’t care, since he’d been planning to leave medicine anyway – to come work for Ashland. Ashland asked what Nate was going to do with this illegally obtained information. Nate felt he had no choice but to tell Victoria and Victor.

Traci was at the Abbott house. She called Jack, who was still at Keemo’s in LA. Traci had heard from Phyllis that Jack found some letters Keemo wrote. Jack said he learned Keemo forgave him, but unfortunately, Keemo was never ready to let Jack back into his life. Traci’s heart broke for Jack. He picked up his granddaughter’s photo and looked at it. Phyllis came in with coffee. Traci was glad Jack wasn’t by himself. He said Phyllis had been a rock – the best support he could ask for. Jack had a lot of life-altering things to share, but he wanted to do it in person. The siblings ended their call.

Phyllis brought food too, but Jack wasn’t hungry. Allie texted. She was sorry for how she left before. She didn’t mean to be rude, this was just a lot to take in, and she wished him safe travels back to Genoa City. Jack said his decision had been made for him – it was time to go home. Phyllis asked if he was sure. He said he wasn’t going to force Allie into a situation she couldn’t embrace, at least for now. Phyllis found something interesting about the text – neither of them told Allie they were from Genoa City, so how did she know that? Jack could think of a number of ways Allie found out.

Phyllis could only think of one way for Allie to know this, since Keemo never told her about Jack. She thought it was clear that Allie searched Jack online, which meant Allie was curious about Jack and the Abbotts. He appreciated her optimism, but he had to put Allie’s feelings first. He wanted nothing more than to have a relationship with his son’s child, but he didn’t want to do to Allie what he did to Keemo and push too hard. Phyllis acknowledged that Jack was being respectful of Allie’s feelings. Jack was going to give Allie time and space. He said it was time to go home – there was nothing left to do here. Phyllis thought that Jack had to find out who convinced him to come to LA.

Jack had enough of investigations. He needed to call Kyle, then go home. Phyllis stepped outside to give Jack privacy. Jack video chatted Kyle. Kyle asked where Jack was. Jack said he was at Keemo’s house. Kyle hadn’t heard Jack mention that name in years. He asked if they were visiting. Jack confessed that he’d been estranged from Kyle’s older brother for many years now. Jack wasn’t going to get into details now, but he said Keemo died. Kyle was sorry to hear that. Jack said Keemo had a daughter – she was lovely, bright and full of spunk, like her father. Kyle was surprised to learn he had a niece, and Harrison had a new cousin. Allie didn’t know about the Abbotts. Her world had been turned upside down, on top of losing her father. Jack wasn’t pushing her. Kyle said he was there for Jack, always. Jack appreciated that. Kyle said that was what the Abbott family did, and he was sure that, in the brief time Allie spent with Jack, she realized that.

Phyllis was back with Jack after the call ended. Jack said that Kyle never got to meet his older brother, and now he never would. Phyllis told Jack not to go down that path. Jack said Kyle tried to reassure him. Phyllis said Kyle was a good kid and tough, like his dad. Jack was touched Phyllis put her life on hold and came halfway across the country with him. Jack grabbed the box of Keemo’s things, and they were headed out the door when Allie showed up. She had a little statue that used to belong to Keemo. It was created by one of her dad’s favorite artists. She thought Jack should have it. She said that the rift between Keemo and Jack ran deep, but it was obvious to her that Jack cared about his son. She said this was something for him to hold onto – a little piece of his son. It moved Jack to tears. He said that the fact that she brought this to him was a lovely, kind and brave thing to do, and he wouldn’t forget it. Allie hadn’t changed her mind about Jack, though. She had a lot to deal with – graduate school, learning to move forward without her dad. She knew that Jack was hoping for more, but this was all she could handle and all she wanted right now. He respected that.

Jack promised Allie he’d never force a relationship on her. He recently lost his mother, so he had some idea of what she was dealing with. He thanked her for the statue and wished her well. She returned the sentiment. She suggested that they could have coffee if he ever came back to LA. He said he’d take her to dinner if she ever came to the Midwest. He told her to call if she needed anything at all. She said bye. “Until we meet again,” he replied. She left.

Update written by Joseph

Lani goes to the police station and in to the interrogation room. She sees Beth and says she was just looking for Eli. Beth tells her that she just missed him. Lani asks if he said when he would be back. Beth responds that Eli said he had something to take care of and that he would be back soon to take her statement. Lani asks if Eli called her down here. Beth explains that she came to talk to him about someone Eli has been investigating. Lani asks who would that be. Beth reveals it was TR Coates and asks if Lani knows him. Lani responds that TR Coates is her father.

Eli questions TR about heroin being his drug of choice. TR asks if that’s one of the lies Beth told him. Eli asks if he never had a drug problem then. TR claims he got help and he’s been clean for years. Eli asks if he doesn’t put his hands on women anymore either. TR says never. Eli asks him to start by showing him what’s in the bag in his pocket. TR thinks back to the drug dealer giving it to him as an introductory offer on the house. TR claims to Eli that Chanel gave him some sweets from the bakery. Eli asks if he can take a look.

Allie gives Will a donut from the bakery and asks how it is. Will tells her that she really nailed Grandma Alice’s recipe. Allie then asks Will to answer her question; is she gay? Allie jokes that Will is kind of the expert. Allie says she needs to figure out why she can’t shake these feelings for Chanel and why she let them ruin her relationship with Tripp. Allie questions if she’s gay and she just can’t admit it. Will wishes he could help her, but those are questions that she’s going to have to answer herself.

Chanel returns to the living room of the DiMera Mansion and finds Johnny knocked out on the ground. Chanel tries waking him up.

Marlena goes to the DiMera Mansion where Devil Belle now answers the door with yellow eyes. Marlena says it’s true and that Ben told her but she didn’t want to believe him. The Devil mocks her. Marlena yells at the Devil to stay away from her daughter. The Devil says no but he’s glad that she’s there. The Devil invites Marlena in and says the fun is just getting started.

Chanel continues trying to wake Johnny up. Johnny wakes up and she’s relieved to see that he’s alive. Chanel questions what the hell happened since she left him talking to Belle. Johnny sits up and declares it was not Belle.

The Devil mocks Marlena thinking she had sent him back to Hell for good. Marlena argues that they drove him out. The Devil says they didn’t and claims he left Marlena’s body on his own free will as it was time for a new partner, so he just went in to Belle. Marlena tells him to leave her daughter alone but the Devil says he has big plans for Belle. The Devil laughs about Ben and Ciara being convinced that Johnny is his new host but they both know he prefers the female form. Marlena brings up Susan telling her and hoping it wasn’t true. The Devil says he’s aware that Susan tipped her off and questions what Marlena is going to do about it since she’s powerless to stop him. Marlena declares that she’s not and she’s not afraid of him. Marlena wants the Devil to leave Belle immediately.

Beth tells Lani that Eli told her about her. Lani explains that she and TR just met. Lani and Beth introduce themselves to each other. Lani asks what made Beth come look for Eli. Beth explains that she got a call from Billie Reed and was in Chicago, so she figured she’d come tell Eli what she knew. Lani questions how exactly she knows TR. Beth reveals that she used to be his girlfriend but they broke up about 6 months ago. Beth adds that she told Eli all about their relationship. Lani asks Beth to tell her as well because she has some questions.

TR tells Eli that he’s sorry and he’s not trying to get on his bad side but he’d rather not show him what’s in the bag. Eli questions why. TR claims he got the last brownie and he doesn’t trust him not to snag it from him. Eli questions him not even getting a look. TR remarks that he’s not in a sharing mood and he doesn’t know him that well. Eli invites him to the police station so they can get to know each other a little better but TR declines. TR tries to walk away but Eli grabs him. TR demands he get his hands off of him. Eli asks if that’s what he told Beth and Paulina before he beat them. Eli then pins TR down and says he tried to do this the easy way but he’s glad to have a reason to put his hands on him. TR questions getting stopped just because he had a bag. Eli tells TR that he’s keeping him away from his family. TR argues that he can’t keep him away from Lani and his grandchildren. Eli says he will and that TR is under arrest. TR fights back and they struggle. TR grabs Eli’s gun and it goes off, shooting Eli. TR panics with blood on his hands as Eli collapses to the ground.

Beth asks Lani why this suddenly feels official. Lani doesn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable but she hasn’t known TR very long and her mother has said some very distressing things about him. Beth informs Lani that Eli told her about TR abusing Paulina. Lani says that TR swears he has changed and is no longer using drugs. Lani asks if that’s Beth’s experience. Lani swears that anything she says will not leave this room. Shawn walks in and apologizes, thinking the room was free. Shawn goes to leave but then gets a text of shots being fired in the park. Shawn asks Lani to come with him as backup. Lani asks Beth to stay until she gets back so they can finish this conversation as she then leaves with Shawn.

Allie tells Will that maybe she’s gay and just in denial about it, asking if that’s how it was for him. Will says even when he was in the closet, he knew he was attracted to guys. Allie points out that Will had a baby with Gabi. Will says he cares a lot about Gabi but doesn’t think he was ever really sexually attracted to her. Allie says she’s surprised because Gabi is super hot. Will then asks if Allie is attracted to Gabi. Allie says no, or at least she doesn’t think she is. Will asks if Allie has been attracted to other women. Allie confirms that she’s never felt that way about women, except for one. Will suggests they should talk about Chanel then.

Chanel helps Johnny up and asks what the hell happened as he said it wasn’t his aunt Belle. Johnny says he needs to explain something but they hear a noise outside the door.

Devil Belle slams Marlena against the front door and chokes her, talking about how Marlena is always fighting him after all these years. The Devil suggests she just give up and let go. Marlena says never but the Devil says he can feel her life slipping away, so in a few moments, she will be dead and can join him in Hell.

TR stands over Eli’s body and says he warned him but he wouldn’t listen and now look what he did. The drug dealer, Frank, returns and says he got TR’s text, questioning if he needs more already since the bag he gave him had enough to kill a horse. He then sees Eli on the ground . He tells TR that he doesn’t know what happened here so it’s none of his business. Frank goes to leave but TR pulls the gun on him and says he just made it his business. He questions what he’s doing. TR says he’s in a little bit of a jam and he needs Frank to help him out.

Allie tells Will that when Chanel first kissed her, she was surprised because they were always just really good friends. Will asks if Allie never thought about being with her. Allie says no as she only ever dated guys. Will asks if Allie liked it when Chanel kissed her. Allie confirms that she really liked it. Will asks if she freaked out after. Allie thinks she just played it off like no big deal and pushed her freaking out feelings aside. Will says in his experience, pushing feelings aside is not usually the best strategy. Allie says after that, every time she thought about the kiss, she would just make excuses. Will asks if they talked about it. Allie confirms that she told Chanel that she didn’t feel that way about her and moved on. Will points out that she didn’t really move on though. Allie admits that they kissed again on the fourth of July and that time, she couldn’t pretend that she didn’t like it and thinks she even initiated it. Will calls that a big step. Allie says she pulled back again and threw herself in to the relationship with Tripp. Will asks how she feels now. Allie says it’s not weird and it’s like there’s a charge and pull between them that makes her want to kiss Chanel and touch her all the time, almost like she can’t breathe.

Devil Belle continues choking Marlena and says it’s time to say goodnight. Chanel comes out from the living room and tries to help but the Devil uses his powers to stop Chanel from moving forward. Chanel screams to let her go. The Devil says she has front row seats to the death of Dr. Marlena Evans. The Devil tells Chanel to stick around so he can kill her next. The Devil threatens to snap Marlena’s neck in an instant. Johnny then appears and hits Devil Belle from behind with a statue, knocking The Devil/Belle unconscious, and saves Marlena.

TR rushes in to his room at the Salem Inn. TR questions what the hell he has done and tells himself that he’s supposed to have his act together and be better than this. TR panics that it was Lani’s husband, his son in law, and a cop. TR says he knows Eli pushed his buttons and made him angry. TR stops and says enough of that. He looks at the blood on his hands and declares he has to clean this mess up.

Shawn and Lani find Eli and Frank in the park. Lani rushes to Eli’s side and checks on him while Shawn checks Frank. Shawn notes that Frank has Eli’s gun in his hands and looks like he’s just been shot up with heroin. Lani calls out that Eli has no pulse and is not breathing after being shot in the head. Lani desperately tries to revive Eli while Shawn calls for backup.

TR comes out of the shower with his clothes in a trash bag. TR says there’s no need to panic as he did what he had to do; he left the gun in Frank’s hand and he is not talking. TR decides he will get dressed and then find a place to burn his bloody clothes, so nobody will know he was there, especially not Lani. TR thinks back to Eli telling him that Beth was at the police station. TR remarks that there’s always a woman that gets in the way. TR guesses he will have to do something about Beth too because he’ll be damned if he lets her or anyone else come between him and his daughter.

Marlena checks on Belle and tries to wake her up. Chanel questions what is going on. Marlena explains that the Devil is inside Belle and she doesn’t know how it happened but questions why she didn’t stop it. Chanel complains that she was trying to kill them. Marlena argues that it’s not Belle as she’s not in control. The Devil then returns to inside of Johnny. Johnny tells Marlena that he’s so glad she’s okay. Marlena says it’s thanks to him and asks how he knew. Johnny explains that Belle’s eyes started glowing and then she attacked him, so he thought she was going to kill him. Marlena is glad he’s alright and guesses he must have been terrified. Johnny asks what they are going to do to save Belle.

Will asks Allie if her feelings for Chanel are not going away. Allie says if anything, they are getting stronger. Will then asks if Allie has answered her own question. Allie doesn’t know because she’s definitely attracted to men and what she had with Tripp was real. Will asks if she’s not just trying to convince herself. Allie assures that she cared about Tripp a lot and she was never pretending as she loved him until she screwed it all up. Allie hates that she hurt Tripp but notes that for the entire relationship, she was also battling her feelings with Chanel. Allie talks about the night she just wanted to comfort Chanel and be with her. Allie tells Will that she and Chanel slept together and it was her first time with a woman. Will asks how it was. Allie admits it was great and she can’t stop thinking about it. Will asks how it compares to being with a guy. Allie acknowledges that it was different and compares it to like two different flavors of ice cream. Allie asks if she sounds ridiculous. Will then declares that Allie sounds bisexual. Allie jokes about adoring her gay brother but feeling really ignorant talking about this. Allie questions if bisexuality is a real thing or if it’s just something people say so they don’t have to decide. Will assures that it’s a real thing. Will explains that being bisexual means you can fall in love with someone regardless of their gender. Allie comments on Will knowing a lot about this and thanks him. Allie then guesses she is bi but finds it confusing to find a label. Will encourages that she doesn’t have to decide who she is today. Will talks about their parents coming around eventually and encourages that they will be there to support her no matter what. Allie asks Will who he talked to first. Will tells her that it was Marlena who helped him be proud of who he is.

Marlena doesn’t know what to expect when Belle wakes up. Chanel suggests calling the cops or a priest. Johnny doesn’t think they have time to wait since Belle threatened their lives. Marlena agrees that they have to neutralize her. Chanel questions fighting the Devil alone and says she did not sign up for this. Johnny stops her and says he knows he hurt her and she has every right to hate him, but she cares about Allie and Belle is Allie’s aunt too. Johnny encourages that she needs her so he asks her to stay and help them.

Beth remains in the interrogation room when she gets a call from TR, who says long time no speak. Beth argues that she changed her number so she questions how the hell he got it. TR reminds her that he likes to keep track of the people he shares secrets with and wasn’t just going to let her go.

Lani continues trying to revive Eli as paramedics arrive. They reveal that Lani was able to get Eli’s heart going again as Lani prays for Eli to be okay.

Beth informs TR that what he did to her isn’t a secret anymore. TR reveals that he heard she ratted him out to detective Eli Grant. Beth questions how he knew. TR says that’s not important but he needs to know if she told anyone else at the police station. TR adds that it’s good if she didn’t. Beth reveals that she just met Lani and was just about to tell her what a poor excuse of a human being he is, but she got pulled away for a shooting in the park. Beth warns that when she or Eli return, she’s going to make an official statement about all the abuse TR did to her and then they will see about pressing charges. TR is not worried and warns that she needs to talk to him first before talking to the cops because he’s going to make her an offer and promises she won’t be sorry.

Lani leaves the park with the paramedics to ride in the ambulance to the hospital while Shawn calls out that he will be praying for him.

Allie tells Will that she is someone’s mother and she’s so all over the place. Will encourages that she has many people who love and support her. Will adds that if Allie decides to come out, they will all be there for her. Allie thanks him and hugs him. Allie guesses she has a lot of thinking to do. Will suggests she give her brain a rest and listen to her heart because love is love. Will tells Allie that he’s proud of her because this can be really scary and emotionally heavy. Will praises her as amazing and strong. Will says he loves her. Allie says she loves him too and thanks him as they hug. Will then walks away. Allie wonders what’s taking Chanel so long and hopes Johnny is not being a jerk to her again…

Johnny, Chanel, and Marlena tie Belle to a bed. Marlena suggests getting her medical bag to sedate Belle until they know what’s going to happen next. Chanel says she should go because she has to meet Allie. Marlena decides to walk her out. Johnny thanks Chanel and says he owes her. Marlena thanks Johnny, who says he is glad that he was there when she needed him. Marlena asks if Johnny will be okay alone with Belle for a few moments. Johnny assures he will and asks if Marlena is okay. Marlena says she is just shaken. Johnny knows how hard this is for her considering everything she’s been through. Johnny remarks that they are going to help Belle as he knows they can drive the Devil out. Marlena exits with Chanel. The Devil then takes over Johnny and declares he and Belle are alone at last.

Beth goes to see TR at his hotel room. TR says he’s glad she came and invites her in. Beth asks if they can’t meet in the lobby because she’d like to be in public. TR says he can’t do that right now as he has something sensitive to discuss with her. Beth tells him to forget it as this was a mistake. TR says she’s going to want to listen to his offer. TR gets why she’s nervous, but promises he won’t hurt her. Beth says she’s heard that before and threatens to call 911. TR claims that she’s safe with him, so she enters the room. TR then sneaks a “do not disturb” sign on to the door as he closes it.

The paramedics reveal to Shawn that Frank has died. Shawn guesses that he overdosed. The medic notes that it looks like what was in the needle was enough to kill three people. Shawn wonders what the hell Eli was doing here and how he let a low life drug dealer get close enough to grab his gun.

Lani tells Eli how much she loves him as Eli is stretchered in to the trauma room at the hospital. Lani urges Eli to come back to them because they need him. Lani then breaks down crying.

Chanel meets Allie in the town square. Allie gets up with a smile which Chanel questions. Chanel comments that Allie seems confused. Allie assures that she’s not, she’s just more aware of it. Allie asks Chanel if they are out of the movie and if she talked to Johnny.

Marlena gives Belle a sedative to sleep for a couple hours and leaves the room with Johnny. Johnny suggests Marlena get some rest too since she looks like she’s been through Hell. Marlena says there is no time as she needs to try to reach John. Johnny says he will stay with Belle while she looks for John. Marlena tells him to call her if there’s any change which he agrees to do. Johnny remarks that he knows it’s all going to work out as he hugs Marlena. Johnny then heads back in to the bedroom.

Chanel informs Allie that her and Johnny didn’t get a chance to finish talking about the movie because they got interrupted. Allie asks by what, so Chanel suggests she sit down.

Devil Johnny sits next to the bed with Belle tied up. The Devil declares that now that he’s succeeded in convincing people that Belle is the one who is possessed, they need to make this look good. The Devil suggests they practice a few moves. He uses his power to make the bed shake.

Young & The Restless Update

Recap written by Christine

Nikki stopped by Newman Media to invite Victor to lunch, but he said he couldn’t get away. She noticed he was holding an envelope like it was gold, or a bomb. He said these were the papers sent by Michael about Ashland. She said it was definitely a bomb, then. He thought Victoria deserved to see them. Nikki wanted Victor to tread carefully, so he didn’t alienate their daughter further. He didn’t want to do this, but Ashland forced his hand. He said Victoria needed to know what kind of man she married.

Victor went to Victoria’s office and told her they needed to talk. Unless Victor was here to apologize and take back the disgusting allegations he made about Ashland, Victoria had nothing to say to him. Victor wished he was wrong. He refused to leave until Victoria looked through the folder. She’d seen all she needed to see. She said he was so controlling that he’d even destroy her marriage all because another man had a say in the family business. He didn’t want to hurt her, but he was insistent that Ashland had been lying about his illness. She asked if he really thought he could blackmail Ashland with these outrageous lies and get him to leave her. Victor thought Victoria would rather be angry with him than enraged at Ashland. Victoria couldn’t stand being patronized this way. She told him to leave her office. Victor couldn’t stand by and watch Victoria be deceived any longer.

Victoria was so sick of all the men in her life saying they loved her, then hurting her. Victor wasn’t trying to cause Victoria more pain. He was trying to prevent her from suffering. It broke his heart to tell her what he’d learned about Ashland. She said he’d learned lies. He said there was an overwhelming amount of evidence. She challenged him to show her the evidence. She even reached out to Michael, and he never called her back. Victor held up the envelope and said it was here. She asked why he was going through these lengths. He said he was trying to protect her and the company. Victoria revealed that Ashland was the co-CEO now. “We signed the contracts, so it looks like you’ve lost the game,” she said.

Victor had proof of large payments that the doctor received before he disappeared. Victoria said whoever was setting Ashland up paid the doctor to make those statements. Victor had hoped he was wrong about Ashland, and that was why he sent Michael down to investigate. Victor said that Michael found that the payments were made by a shell company owned by Locke Communications. He said Michael sent the papers from Peru before he disappeared. Victoria was startled and asked more about the disappearance.

Victor said Michael fell off the face of the earth. He and Michael used to talk two or three times a day, and now – nothing. Victor said he should’ve been able to find Michael by now. Lauren was worried too. Victor implied that Ashland got to Michael. Victoria thought it was insane to suggest that Ashland harmed Michael. Victor didn’t know Michael had been harmed. Maybe Ashland had Michael locked away, to buy time. Victoria wouldn’t hear of it. She was adamant that her husband was innocent. Victor told Victoria to read the papers, and he said he had copies. He was deeply sorry to be the bearer of such bad news. He loved and adored her, and he only wanted what was best for her. He left.

Nikki ran into Ashland at Society. He got up, and she turned around and started toward the door. He asked her to stay and hear him out. Nikki said she didn’t have time. Ashland knew how this must look. He was sure Victor filled Nikki’s head with all kinds of accusations. She said no one planted ideas in her head that she didn’t think deserved to be there. He just wanted to tell her his side of the story, so she could decide for herself. He sensed she wasn’t convinced as Victor by the word of one unscrupulous doctor. She was willing to hear him out. He said they’d been working together for awhile, and she’d seen how profound his love was for Victoria. He thought she must realize he’d never ever mastermind the plot Victor was accusing him of, and he’d never hurt Victoria that way.

Nikki didn’t want to believe Ashland was capable of coming up with this plot. However, Victor said there was too much evidence that couldn’t have been fabricated. “And yet he’s willing to believe that I fabricated mountains of evidence to somehow fake an illness I don’t have? Do you not see the contradiction?,” he asked. Nikki said someone was lying, and she hoped it was a doctor at the clinic, but it was becoming harder not to think it was Ashland. He asked if she was saying Victor found more of this so-called evidence.

Nikki asked what kind of evidence Ashland thought Victor could’ve come up with. Ashland said it didn’t matter. He didn’t want to guess what was going on in Victor’s mind. He just wanted to find a way to get past this. Nikki asked what Ashland expected of her. He said he needed Nikki to be on his side. He said Victor wouldn’t stop until he poisoned Victoria against Ashland. Nikki wanted to know what Ashland thought Victor’s motives were. He didn’t know. He suggested Victor felt threatened by Ashland’s recovery. Nikki said that was baseless – Victor wasn’t easily threatened, especially by Ashland. She said Victor’s only agenda was protecting Victoria. Ashland said that he only cared about protecting Victoria and their marriage. He asked if she’d ever seen her daughter happier.

Nikki said Ashland knew how supportive she and Victor had been of the wedding and the couple’s happiness. She pointed out that they had a beautiful wedding at the Tuscan villa that became a wedding gift. She reminded him of the lengths Victor and his sons went through to protect Ashland’s reputation and company. He was grateful for all of that, so the turnaround seemed so much more puzzling. Nikki said for Ashland to betray them after all that made it more devastating and unforgivable. He said the unforgivable thing for him was the precious time he was losing with Victoria. He said that no one promised him that this treatment was a magical cure. Nikki wanted to know what the doctors said, since Ashland had been vague about his condition. Ashland said he’d only been told his cancer was in remission for the moment, so it was horrible that instead of being able to spend the extra time he had with Victoria working side by side, he was having to fight for the love of his life.

Nikki said that if Ashland was being honest, he had to prove it. Ashland said he was working on it. Nikki said that he couldn’t be expected to be taken at his word – he’d need evidence, and if he could deliver, Victor would apologize.

Nikki and Victor met back up at Newman Media. Nikki was concerned Victor and Victoria’s relationship wouldn’t recover. Victor didn’t take the stuff Victoria said personally, because he knew she wasn’t actually angry with him. Victor said that Victoria might not immediately believe the documents, but he was sure she’d come around to his side. He knew it would be traumatic for Victoria to learn the depth of Ashland’s deceit.

Ashland went to Victoria’s office. She closed the door and told him about Victor, the envelope, and Victor’s theories on Michael. She said Victor had records of payments being sent to the Peruvian doctor. They were sent from a very small and obscure radio division, owned by Locke Communications – one you’d have to look really hard to find. “Tell me something, Ashland. Why would a small company that we own, that’s barely on anyone’s radar be sending a steady stream of money to a doctor who is connected with your treatment,” Victoria asked.

In LA, Jack told Allie that he wanted to talk to her about Hao Nguyen – his son Keemo. Allie said Hao Nguyen was a common name, and Jack must have the wrong guy. Jack said he was certain he had the right person. She asked what they wanted – Hao was dead. He said he came here for answers about his son. “Look, Hao couldn’t possibly be your son. He’s my dad, and he never mentioned you,” Allie replied.

Allie said her dad never knew his father – he was the result of an affair her grandmother had in Vietnam. Jack said her name was Luan. Allie asked if Jack was claiming he was here to track down his son after his death. He gently told her that her father didn’t tell her the whole truth. He explained that he and Luan were Hao’s parents, and Keemo was his given name. Allie said her dad told her that he didn’t know anything about his father growing up. Jack said that was true – he didn’t know anything about Keemo until his son was a young adult. Allie didn’t believe it, and she wanted proof. Jack pulled out the picture of him and Luan on their wedding day. Allie was stunned. Luan died before Allie was born, but she’d seen other pictures of her grandmother, and she recognized Luan and the younger Jack. “Your father was our best man,” Jack said.

This doesn’t prove anything. If my dad knew who his father was, why didn’t he tell me? Why would he lie to me and my mother like that?,” Allie challenged. She said that the picture just showed Jack married her grandmother, it didn’t mean he was her… “You’re grandfather,” Jack said. Allie looked shaken up, and she needed to sit down. Jack showed Allie the paperwork he gave Keemo on the wedding day. It legally and personally acknowledged Jack was Keemo’s father. Allie didn’t understand why her dad hid all this. Jack repeated the whole story about accidentally finding out Luan was sick, and hiding it from Keemo, out of respect for Luan’s wishes. Keemo didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to his mom, and he was devastated and furious with Jack. Jack tried hard to fix it, and he thought he had, but then he started getting bitter emails from Keemo. Keemo cut Jack off and changed his name.

Allie said if this was all true, it was clear that her father wanted nothing to do with Jack, so why was he here? He told her about the mysterious texts. She was upset to hear that Jack had been going through her father’s house and searching through his things. Jack understood how Allie felt, and he’d felt conflicted about that as well. He said he was seeking closure – his son died, and he wanted to know what kind of man he became. He showed her the letters written by Keemo. Allie snatched them away and asked what gave Jack the right to read those. He told her they were addressed to him. He encouraged her to read them. She unfolded one and burst into tears. She couldn’t bear to read it, so she asked Jack what they said. He said that the letters revealed that Keemo was thinking of reconnecting with him. Jack said Keemo never got the chance, because he died. Allie looked at a letter and sobbed because that was her father’s handwriting, and these were snippets of his thoughts. She was struggling with accepting that her dad was gone. Now she was seeing a side of her dad that she never knew about. Jack asked if Allie had anyone to lean on. Allie’s parents divorced a few years ago, and her mom moved to the east coast, and she hadn’t seen her mom much sense. Her mom did fly out for the funeral, but she left soon after. With a hint of bitterness in her voice, Allie stated her mother said that she’d needed to get back to work. Jack realized he was probably the last person Allie would seek comfort in, but it just killed him that she was all alone. She said she’d be fine.

Phyllis asked if Allie’s mother could know the truth and be the one sending the texts. Allie doubted it. Phyllis implied that Allie might be the texter. Allie was adamant that she’d never even heard of Jack Abbott was before today. Jack believed Allie, but he said someone thought they should meet. Allie had no idea who that person should be. Allie said whoever sent the texts wasted their time. She had grad school and a life to live, and if her father couldn’t bring himself to reconcile with Jack, she had no reason to either. “I think you and your friend should go back to where you came from,” she said. She told them to forget this encounter happened, and she rushed toward the door. Jack called Allie and said he couldn’t do that.

Jack was sorry, but he couldn’t pretend he never met Allie. He knew this was hard for her. What he’d learned was hard for him too. Someone wanted him to come here, and as painful as it had been to find out about all he lost, he was glad he came because he got to meet her. No one knew more than him how hard it was not to be able to go to your father and ask for answers. He hoped, in time, he and Allie could find answers in each other. He knew he was a stranger now, but he hoped they could be more to each other, in time. Allie was sorry, but she wasn’t interested. Jack said Allie had his number, so she could call. She didn’t want to. He asked if he could keep the contents of the box. She took a quick look and said she didn’t want any of it. He picked up the necklace he’d given Luan and tried to give it to Allie. She seemed moved by it, but then she steeled herself and coolly said “no thanks.” Allie was sorry everyone wasted their time. She left. Jack looked devastated, and Phyllis comforted him.

Jack hoped that Allie would come back after she processed things. Phyllis said enough about Allie – she wanted to talk about Jack. She knew he must be stunned. He said it was quite the surprise, finding a granddaughter. He couldn’t expect Allie to embrace him – she didn’t know he existed. Phyllis told Jack not to suppress his emotions with her. He didn’t want to dump everything on her. She said that was why she came. He said he was overwhelmed. She suggested that Allie would come around. She said it seemed like Keemo passed his bitter feelings to the next generation. Jack thought Allie was just honoring his father’s wishes. Jack respected that. It seemed like Allie and Keemo were close, and Jack was glad that Keemo had love in his life. Phyllis said that was nice, but she wanted to know how Jack really felt. He said yesterday, he learned his son was thinking about repairing their relationship, today he learned that Keemo had a daughter he never wanted Jack to know. It broke Jack’s heart.

Jack had to focus on the here and now – and that was Allie, the sweet young woman dealing with the loss of her father on her own. Jack had picked up on the tension Allie showed when she talked about her mother.

Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Eli wakes up and greets Lani at home, questioning her not having her morning coffee. Lani guesses she forgot. Eli asks if she’s mad at him for going to bed before she got home last night as he knew she was dropping the kids off at Abe’s so he assumed she would hang out there for awhile. Lani then reveals that she was actually with T.R.

Allie and Chanel work at the bakery in the town square. TR approaches and comments on them being used to movie hours. Chanel tells him that they are working. TR says he is too as he’s delivering them the latest rewrite of the script and he thinks they will like the rewrites. Chanel and Allie both say they refuse to have anything to do with Johnny DiMera.

Will goes to the DiMera Mansion and sees Johnny. Johnny comments that Will looks great and that married life seems to be agreeing with him. Will remarks that he can’t say the same about Johnny. Johnny guesses he heard that he and Chanel couldn’t make it work. Will responds that he’s heard a lot of things and none of them are very good. Johnny questions him passing judgment. Will informs him that Marlena told him what he’s been up to and she’s tried to see his side of things, but Will wants to take the smirk on Johnny’s face and shove it down his throat.

Ben goes to see Marlena, who says it’s not a very good time. Ben apologizes and says he’s not here to ask for help but to tell her something upsetting. Ben knows they all thought that after the exorcism that they had gotten rid of the Devil. Marlena asks if he thinks she’s still possessed. Ben explains that he does think the Devil is out of her, but he’s not gone as he’s here in Salem.

Susan looks through the window at the Brady Pub where Belle and Shawn are eating inside. Susan thinks back to seeing “666” on Belle’s coat when Devil Johnny made her think that Belle is the Devil. Susan then heads in the Pub and looks through the coats hanging by the door to find Belle’s.

Eli asks Lani how that happened. Lani calls it kind of a coincidence as she ran in to TR on her way to drop the kids off with Abe and he asked her to have a drink at the Pub. Lani says at first she said no, but she changed her mind and she’s actually glad that she did because it ended up being not as intense as she thought it would be. Lani points out that TR eats his fries with mayo too. Eli makes a mocking remark so Lani tells him that this isn’t easy for her and to ease up on the attitude. Eli apologizes. Lani knows Eli went through something like this. Eli recalls wanting to know everything about his biological father. Lani points out that TR is the twins’ biological grandfather, so medically it matters. Lani adds that she thinks about Abe and everything TR did to Paulina. Lani admits that talking to TR makes her feel guilty. Eli acknowledges that it’s messy and there’s no easy way to go about it, so it’s whatever feels right to her. Lani likes that Eli sees how hard this is for her and that if she does decide to get to know TR, Eli trusts her. Eli responds that he does trust her, but not TR which Lani questions. Eli reveals that he’s investigating TR because she has the right to know the truth about her father, whether he wants her to or not.

TR reminds Chanel and Allie that he has signed contracts from both of them. They continue to refuse and threaten to go to the press to tell the truth about Johnny and TR. Chanel brings up TR’s abuse of Paulina. Chanel asks how Lani would feel about TR shoving her little sister around. TR says he doesn’t want them doing anything they don’t want to do but it’s not that easy. TR says he will try to make amends to Paulina and Lani, but the director has final say in casting.

Johnny remarks that Will is rushing to judgment. Will asks for his side of the story then and why he found it necessary to announce the end of his marriage in front of a room full of people without even giving his bride a heads up. Johnny tells him that he has work to do. Will comments on Johnny being a corporate big shot now. Johnny admits he might have embarrassed Chanel a little, but at least he didn’t knock her up and then dump her for some dude. Johnny asks about Arianna. Will points to the portrait of Stefano and says he did a lot of despicable things and caused suffering, but even he drew the line at torturing someone in his own family. Johnny argues that Will is the one on the attack. Will says he doesn’t give a rat’s ass about what he’s doing to him, but he’s talking about what Johnny is doing to Marlena. Will declares that what Johnny is doing to Marlena is unforgivable.

Marlena invites Ben in and questions him thinking the Devil has taken possession of somebody else. Marlena wants him to tell her who it is. Ben reveals the claim that it’s Belle.

Shawn suggests to Belle that they take a vacation together. Belle then spots Susan and questions what she is doing with her coat.

Lani argues that Eli investigating TR behind her back means he doesn’t trust her. Eli says it’s not behind her back since he just told her. Lani points out that he made that decision on his own. Eli agrees that he should have cleared it with her first, but he already contacted Billie Reed at the ISA so they should hear back from her later today. Lani then admits that maybe Eli is thinking more clearly than she is and this is probably a good idea to check him out. Eli hopes that TR has changed and they don’t find anything for her sake.

TR tells Allie and Chanel to tell Johnny what they told him about how it’s better for him and the movie to recast the roles. TR states that if Johnny agrees, he will let them out of their contracts. Allie agrees that it’s worth a try. TR thanks them and wishes them luck. TR tells Chanel that he lives with what he did to Paulina and he was on drugs then, but he’s clean now and hopes to prove to Paulina and Lani that he’s not the same man. TR then walks away. Chanel tells Allie that was a lot and then asks which one of them is going to go talk to Johnny.

Johnny tells Will that he’s contractually obligated to make this film and Marlena understands that, so he doesn’t see why Will can’t. Will argues that Marlena is losing patients and is fearing for her job if this movie gets made. Johnny argues that the producer is in town and the table read is tonight, so it’s too late as the movie is getting made and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Will tells Johnny to rewrite it and take the Devil out of the story. Johnny responds that he’s sorry but the Devil is the story.

Marlena tells Ben that the Devil can’t be in Belle. Ben informs her that Susan saw Belle leaving the DiMera Mansion and saw a “666” on the back of her coat. Marlena points out that Susan has seen these things from the very beginning. Ben says that he and Ciara are convinced that after being at the exorcism, that it was Johnny but Susan found out it wasn’t him. Marlena worries about it being Belle.

Susan claims to Belle that she thought Belle’s coat was her coat. Shawn comes over and asks if something is wrong and what Susan is doing with Belle’s coat. Susan then admits she’s looking for evidence and tells Shawn that he could be in grave danger. Susan then shouts that the Devil is back in Salem and that Shawn is married to her as she points to Belle.

Eli is at the police station when a woman arrives, saying she got a call yesterday from Billie Reed, who said he is checking out TR Coates. The woman reveals that she is TR’s ex girlfriend.

TR sits outside with his phone and calls Lani. TR says he just wanted to say how much it meant to him to talk to her last night. Lani guesses it was nice. TR hopes he’s not pushing too hard but he was thinking that he wants to get to know her family too, so maybe they can have dinner sometime. Lani says she’ll talk to Eli about it and get back to him as they hang up. TR then texts someone, saying he needs to see them.

Johnny mocks Will’s idea to take the Devil out of the movie. Will argues that Johnny was ready to do his script of The Sami Brady Story which won’t destroy Sami the way that this will destroy Marlena. Johnny argues that this won’t destroy Marlena and that Will’s original script was never going to sell. Johnny adds that if he takes a hot property and waters it down, his film career will be over, so it’s his job to take a script and make it better. Will mocks not realizing how much this could hurt his career and how important it was for him to make yet another crappy Devil movie. Will guesses it’s screw grandma as the show must go on. Will then remarks that Stefano would be proud as he walks out.

Ben explains to Marlena that Susan went to check it out and talked to Johnny, but said she felt nothing then when she left, she saw “666” on the back of Belle’s coat and felt the presence of the Devil. Marlena prays for God to help Belle.

Shawn questions what Susan is talking about. Susan tells him that Belle had 666 on the back of her coat last night. Shawn argues that there was something on her coat but no numbers. Susan talks about feeling the Devil’s presence and points out that Belle was at the exorcism. Belle insists that she is herself. Shawn acknowledges that Susan was right about Marlena but Belle is not acting strangely as he would notice. Susan argues that the Devil won’t show himself until after he gets Ciara’s baby but she is going to stop him from doing that as she holds a cross up towards Belle. Belle swears that Susan is wrong. Susan says she’s not afraid. Shawn points out that the cross isn’t working because this is Belle. Susan agrees and decides to go. Susan says she will go to Marlena’s but warns that she won’t give up and the Devil will be vanquished. Susan then exits the Pub. Belle tells Shawn that the problem is that Susan had been right all this time. Shawn argues that she’s wrong this time. Belle doesn’t think anything has happened to her but something has happened. Belle worries that it’s not over.

Allie says she will talk to Johnny because he’s her brother but Chanel says she will do it because she kind of enjoys getting in his face these days. Allie tells Chanel to give him hell as they hug. Will then walks up. Allie introduces him to Chanel. Chanel says she’s sorry but she has to go. Allie wishes her luck as she walks away. Allie informs Will that Chanel is going to talk to Johnny. Will says he just talked to Johnny and he loves his brother, but he wanted to deck him. Allie thought she could get over this and it would all be for the best, but she doesn’t think she will ever be able to forgive Johnny. Will doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Allie is glad he’s here because she couldn’t do this over the phone. Allie then reveals to Will that she and Tripp broke up because Johnny told him that she slept with Chanel.

TR’s ex girlfriend tells Eli that she was in Chicago for an audition and figured it’d be easier to come talk to him in person. Eli appreciates that and asks if she met TR in LA. She confirms they met last year and dated for six months, but assures that it’s over. Eli explains that TR is his wife Lani’s biological father and TR has admitted that he used to be an abuser and addict. Eli says TR swears that he’s kicked all his bad habits in prison and hasn’t abused women since Paulina. Eli adds that he’s now in Salem and wants to get to know Lani and their twins, so he wants to make sure TR is telling the absolute truth. The woman declares that not one freaking word is true.

TR meets with a man outside, who delivers a bag of heroin to TR. He hands him an introductory offer on the house. TR informs him that this will be his home base for awhile so he asks if the man will be around when he wants more. He says he’s got his number and he lives around the corner, so he can just text him and he’ll be there in two seconds. TR says that sounds perfect.

TR’s ex girlfriend tells Eli that she didn’t know TR was an addict when they first met, but it didn’t take her long to figure out he was using heroin. She explains that TR tried to hide it but she could always tell. She says he would shoot up and then take out his frustrations on her. She remarks that he was such a gentleman to not bruise her face when she had an audition coming up. Eli asks if she ever reported him but she says TR threatened to ruin her acting career. Eli is sorry that she had to go through that. She thinks he’s really just sorry that she didn’t report it. She adds that he doesn’t have to just take her word for it as last time, she ended up in the hospital and they took photos. She tells Eli that time, she didn’t have an audition coming up. She warns Eli to keep TR away from his wife and kids because he is the devil incarnate..

Shawn decides he should call Marlena and give her a heads up. Belle talks about having to take this seriously. Belle thinks she’s going to talk to Johnny because Susan said she felt the Devil’s presence in the DiMera Mansion yesterday so she needs to figure out who else was there other than her and Chad. Shawn feels that makes sense that the Devil would be at the DiMera Mansion.

Susan goes to see Marlena and tells her that she needs her help as she has something very terrible to tell her. Marlena informs her that Ben told her all about Belle. Susan points out that she didn’t feel the Devil’s presence with Belle just now. Marlena gets a call from Shawn and confirms that she’s with Susan now and she’s told her about Belle. Shawn informs her that Belle went to go talk to Johnny to try and figure out what happened last night. Marlena decides she will go talk to both of them. Marlena tells Shawn not to worry. Shawn tells her to take care and hangs up. Susan warns Marlena to be careful. Marlena assures Susan that she’s not fighting the Devil by herself as they are all here beside her and they are grateful for all she has done to take care of them. Susan worries that The Devil wants the baby and they can’t let him have the baby. Marlena promises they won’t as she then exits.

Chanel goes to the DiMera Mansion and tells Johnny that she and Allie aren’t going to be in his movie and TR said that if Johnny agreed to recast them, he would let them out of their contracts. Johnny questions why he should. Chanel warns that if he doesn’t, they will make life a living hell for him and his producers. Johnny mocks her being upset. Chanel calls him a creep. Johnny wonders where all this passion is coming from and asks if she just can’t quit him.

Eli thanks the woman for coming in. She introduces herself as Beth. Eli asks if she’s in a hurry. Beth says she’s not, so Eli asks for an official statement from her. Beth assures that she would do anything to keep TR from harming another. Eli says he’ll be back and tells her that what she did took a lot of courage, so she should be proud of herself. Eli then exits the room.

Will questions Allie about Johnny telling Tripp that she slept with Chanel and that Tripp believed him. Allie explains that it’s true that she slept with Chanel. Will jokes that it’d be hypocritical if he was shocked. Allie says it’s not Johnny’s fault since she did what she did, but he was involved since it happened on the night that Johnny ended things with Chanel at the wedding reception. Allie admits that she was attracted to Chanel before that and they kissed a couple times, so she didn’t feel bad about that. Allie states that she loves Tripp, but she’s so confused about Chanel.

Chanel tells Johnny that she’s not over him because she’s human and she loved him enough to marry him. Chanel argues that she can’t just turn that off like a light switch. Johnny jokes about rewriting a scene for her since she has all this untapped passion. Chanel tries to slap him but he warns her not to even think about it. Johnny decides he doesn’t need this drama. Johnny agrees that if she drops her lawsuit, he will let her and her girlfriend out of his movie. Belle arrives and tells Johnny that she needs to talk to him. Johnny says he’s in the middle of something. Belle repeats that she needs to talk to him. Chanel says she needs a break, so they will pick this up when Belle leaves. Chanel exits as Belle informs Johnny that Susan just accused her of being the Devil. Belle asks if Johnny saw 666 written on the back of her coat last night. Johnny questions Susan saying that. Belle adds that Susan said she felt Lucifer’s presence in the house. Johnny argues that they saw him exorcised. Belle brings up Susan also saying that the Devil could have gone in to someone else. Belle starts to worry and says that Johnny said he was in the middle of something with Chanel so he can just call her. Johnny stops her and says there was something off about last night so maybe they should put their heads together and see what they can figure out.

TR pays the man for the drugs. He comments that it’s more than what they agreed on. TR says he’s a big tipper, so he says this could be the start of a beautiful friendship and walks away. Eli approaches. TR remarks that it’s funny running in to him here. TR says he was just talking to Lani about getting together some time. Eli says that’s not happening. TR knows Eli is busy but says he’s flexible. Eli warns that he won’t be for long because he was just heading to the Salem Inn to talk to him about a conversation he just had with Beth Howard. Eli asks if that rings a bell.

Lani goes to the police station and in to the interrogation room. She sees Beth and says she was just looking for Eli. Beth tells her that she just missed him.

TR claims not to know Beth Howard. Eli informs him that she’s at the police station right now and just told him that everything TR has been telling Lani and Paulina is a load of crap as he’s still using and that he used Beth as a punching bag last year. TR says she’s lying because he didn’t use her in his last movie and she didn’t take it well. Eli argues that his Hollywood crap doesn’t work on him. Eli then finds the bag of heroin on the ground and asks what they have here. TR claims to have no idea and that someone must dropped it. Eli says that someone is TR.

Will tells Allie that confused is not the worst thing to be and that figuring out who you are can be a life’s work. Allie brings up having a baby and being a mother, so she’s supposed to be a grown up but she doesn’t even know this very basic thing about her. Allie then wonders aloud if she’s gay.

Chanel returns to the living room and finds Johnny seemingly knocked out on the ground.

Susan goes to see Ben and tells him that everything is going to be alright as she just spoke with Marlena. Susan declares that if anyone can figure out what the Devil is up to, Marlena can.

Marlena goes to the DiMera Mansion where Devil Belle now answers the door with yellow eyes.

Recap written by Christine

It was a new day, and Jack and Phyllis went back to Keemo’s house. Jack couldn’t sleep last night. He kept thinking about all that he and Keemo lost. Phyllis let Jack know that he had a lot of people supporting him. He said this was a lot more difficult than he expected. He’d wept with regret over losing all that time with his son, and Phyllis was the only thing that got him through. He thanked her, and she said that she was happy to do it. They smelled orange blossom perfume, and she said someone had been in the house since they left.

Jack and Phyllis didn’t find any other signs of another person being in the house. Jack wanted to think this was the person who’d been sending him texts. He or she never responded when Jack texted and asked if there was something else he was supposed to find. Phyllis suggested they go through the box again. Jack found a picture of a young woman in the box. That picture wasn’t there before. The back of the picture said “Allie” and it had a phone number on it. Jack noticed that this lady looked like the young girl in the photo taken in Vietnam, all grown up. Jack didn’t know who this person was to Keemo. Phyllis asked if the number on the photo was the same as the one the texts were coming from. They weren’t. Jack called the number. He left his name and a message asking Allie if they could talk about Keemo. Phyllis reminded Jack to call him Hao.

Phyllis suggested that Allie was the texter, using a different phone. Jack was trying to keep an open mind. He didn’t want to jump to conclusions. Allie called back, and Jack asked if she could meet him to talk at Hao’s house. Allie was busy now, but she’d come by later. Phyllis promised Jack that Allie would have the answers. She urged him to come up with a plan so that he didn’t bombard Allie with questions. He was wound up, so he decided to go for a walk. He asked Phyllis to stay in case Allie arrived, and she quickly agreed. He thanked her for everything.

Jack returned and called for Phyllis. She came in from the garden and said it was gorgeous. She wondered if Keemo designed it. She noted that Jack didn’t seem any more relaxed, and she suggested he go sit in the garden. Phyllis was wondering if she shouldn’t be here when Allie arrived. Jack was adamant that he wanted Phyllis with him. He didn’t know what to expect. “I’m unsure of my footing and you are solid ground,” he said. She took his hand, and he kissed her hand. Just as Jack decided that Allie wasn’t coming, she walked in. Allie seemed cautious and asked what Jack and Phyllis were doing here. She asked if they were lawyers or with the bank. She thought the estate was settled. Jack told Allie his full name, and there was no sign of recognition on her part. He explained that he was Hao/Keemo’s father. Allie looked startled.

Abby and Chance stopped by Devon’s place. They sent a text earlier that he didn’t receive. They were there to take the baby home early. Chance was sorry they sprang this on Devon. Devon said it was okay. He was planning to bring the baby back later. Chance was hoping he, Abby and Dom could spend some family time together before his therapy session. Devon wished he’d had more head’s up, but he knew they all had to be flexible. Amanda came downstairs. Chance thanked Devon for being considerate, adding that he and Abby would’ve understood if he’d kicked them to the curb. Devon said it was okay. He knew he’d see Dom soon.

Once they were alone, Amanda asked Devon how he really felt about letting Dom leave early. He said he’d picked the baby up early sometimes, so it was only fair that Abby and Chance got to do the same. Amanda thought the co-parenting arrangement was impressive, but she knew Devon wasn’t okay with this. He siad nothing was bothering him, but he could tell something was bothering Chance. Amanda noticed how anxious Chance was. Devon was concerned about what the tension would do to Dominic. Devon thought therapy had been a lot more difficult for Chance than he anticipated.

Back at their house, Abby overheard Chance telling Dom that therapy wouldn’t be nearly as fun as hanging out together was. She joined the conversation and said she thought he’d be more comfortable after he got his first session out of the way. He said the problem wasn’t Dr. Huffman. He was just worried about bringing up all the trauma, and he didn’t know where it would end. Abby offered some supportive words. Chance hoped Dom wasn’t picking up on his nerves. Abby promised that Dom only felt Chance’s love. Chance knew therapy would be hard and that he’d come out a better person. However, he didn’t know how to talk about his emotions. He was scared that when he had a breakthrough, everything would spill out, and it’d be messy. Abby was sure it would be messy, but she asked what was the worst that could happen. She suggested it’d be cathartic in a positive way. He loved her optimism, and he needed it now, and forever. They kissed.

At Dr. Huffman’s office, Chance said that they barely scratched the surface in his first session, but it took a lot out of him. He felt fortunate for Abby’s support. He drew a lot of his strength from her and his son. He was going to continue therapy so he could be the man he deserved. Dr. Huffman wanted to hear about the last day of the mission in Spain. Chance started to recite the details of that night in a matter-of-fact tone. Dr. Huffman clarified that Chance should focus on what he felt. Chance said he could hear his team yelling, and that hurt much worse than the shrapnel in his leg. Some of the toughest people he knew were screaming for their lives, and he couldn’t do anything – he couldn’t move. He felt worthless. The team stopped screaming, and he knew what that meant. He looked for survivors, called names, but there was nothing. The people who set the bomb showed up looking for survivors. He hid in the rubble and played dead – surrounded by the bodies of his friends. Every day, he asked why he survived and they didn’t.

Dr. Huffman said survivor’s guilt was a powerful trauma. He asked what Chance had been doing to cope before therapy. Chance stated that he’d tried to atone for what he did. Dr. Huffman was adamant that He told Chance didn’t do anything wrong, and he didn’t need to atone for surviving. Chance knew Dr. Huffman was trying to make him realize this wasn’t his fault, but Chance wasn’t there yet. Dr. Huffman asked what form the atonement took. Chance said he reached out to the families, told them their son/daughter or wife/husband was a hero. He paid for some of the funerals. Dr. Huffman asked if any of the families expressed resentment toward Chance, and he said no. Chance said his friend Justin’s wife wrote a letter saying she was thankful and telling him not to blame himself. She told him to find peace. “How the hell am I supposed to find peace when I hid? I was surrounded by death, and I hid,” he said. He asked how he was supposed to look his wife and son in the face. How could he reconcile who he was in Spain with this man who had this perfect life and family? He wanted to move on an embrace the future that was ripped away from his team, but he didn’t know how.

Chance came home, and Dom was being fussy. He was teething. Abby suggested he’d settle down if his dad held him. Chance didn’t think that would help. When Abby encouraged Chance, he snapped that he said no. He apologized, but she said she was sorry for not realizing he needed a moment to decompress. He said he had an intense session today, and he knew it’d get worse before it got better. He didn’t think it was right for Dom to be around the negative energy. Abby said they’d make things right, and she hugged Chance.

Rey visited Sharon at Crimson Lights. She was doing her end of the year inventory – it was March, but she was a bit behind. They started talking, and he learned that they’d have the house to themselves because Noah was at work and Faith was babysitting Christian. Rey had a few hours off from work, and he wanted to spend them with Sharon. He said they could go bowling, or to the lake or to the bookstore. She had a better idea, but she wasn’t going to share it just yet.

Amanda and Devon went to Crimson Lights. Devon asked Rey if there was any word on when Chance was coming back to work. Rey said Paul was giving Chance all the time he needed. Devon asked if Sharon heard any updates on Chance’s progress in therapy. She hadn’t, and if she had, she wouldn’t be able to say. Devon was worried about how Chance’s trauma would affect Dom. Rey said a lot of people had Chance’s back, and Dom’s too.

Sharon and Rey were alone again, and they were about to leave for their private thing Sharon had planned. Faith called, and Christian quickly got on the phone. Sharon had a warm conversation with him and agreed to come by his house for a bit. The call ended. The little boy had a school project to do – he had to ask one of his favorite adults five questions, then take a picture of them for a poster. Rey thought it was sweet Christian told Sharon. He understood that they weren’t getting alone time today. Sharon was sorry. She said they could make a date for another time.

Chelsea arrived after Sharon left. She told Rey about her work trip, and he was happy things were going well for her. They talked, and at one point they reminisced about how Rey drove off with the food on the roof of the car when they were in Minnesota. She said she told Connor about that later, and he cracked up laughing about the food falling all over the ground. Rey asked how Connor was. He was great – she saw him as soon as she got back from NY. He loved the hockey jersey Rey got him. Rey mentioned that Blackhawks tickets were on sale. He thought it would be a cool road trip. She said that was a great idea and asked if he was planning to go. He couldn’t go, because of work. “When I saw tickets I thought of you…and Connor,” he said. Rey had noticed that Connor talkative about things he loved. Chelsea said Connor was shy, and he was only talkative with people he loved and trusted. She was glad Rey was one of those people.

Out on the patio, Amanda said that when Devon suggested Crimson Lights, she thought he wanted coffee – she didn’t realize he came to interrogate Sharon. He denied doing that, but Amanda said he kind of did. She said that he also got to ask Rey about Chance’s job. Devon didn’t plan to do that, but once he got here, he saw them he thought he could ask about Chance’s state of mind. Amanda was worried about Devon’s state of mind. She said that there was an amazing co-parenting agreement in place, and Chance was getting therapy, but Devon was still trying to find things to worry about. At first, she thought it was subconscious, but now she wasn’t too sure.

Devon wasn’t trying to cause trouble for Chance. He just wanted what was best for him. Amanda didn’t doubt that, but she was talking about the custody agreement. She didn’t think he was comfortable with it. He said he had everything he asked for. She said he seemed deflated whenever Dom left, and she saw it crushed him when Dom left early today. Amanda had an indelicate question, but she wanted the truth. She asked if he wanted sole custody of Dom. “I don’t want full custody of Dominic at all. Abby and Chance are his parents, and this is just a new dynamic that we’re all trying to figure out how to navigate,” he said. She believed him, but she didn’t understand why he was asking all these questions about Chance’s mental state. He’d been concerned about this since Chance’s return, and he noted that Amanda knew that. He didn’t think Chance realized the depth of his trauma. As someone who’d been through therapy, Devon knew you didn’t leave those emotions at the doctor’s office – Chance was taking them home to his family. Devon also knew that it could take a long time to have a breakthrough at therapy.

Brady encourages that they will get through this whole thing together. Brady adds that it will be worth it just to get Leo off of Craig’s back. Chloe hopes it works. Brady asks if she thinks Leo suspects anything. Leo then appears and questions what is going on here. Chloe didn’t realize he was right there which Leo calls obvious. Leo asks Brady what he’s not supposed to be suspicious of.

Paulina goes to see Eli at his home. Eli notes that she looks like something is wrong. Paulina asks where Lani is. Eli responds that she took the twins to see her dad.

Lani walks through the town square with her twins. TR approaches and greets her. TR asks where they are off to. Lani responds that she’s taking the twins to spend the night with their grandfather.

Bonnie is surprised to learn that Craig is gay. Nancy says she just found out but has been suspicious of him for awhile. Nancy adds that a couple months ago, she went through his briefcase and found some condoms. Bonnie can’t imagine what she’s going through. Bonnie says she would never compare their experiences but she might know more than she thinks about this. Bonnie tells her about having a crush on a boy, who turned out to be gay, and it made her sad that he was ashamed of it. Bonnie says she loved him no matter what and they became closer because he was honest with her. Bonnie adds that they are still friends and talk all the time. Nancy points out that unlike Craig, he never had to live a lie or feel he had to marry a woman. Bonnie says her marriage ending doesn’t mean that what they had wasn’t real and wonderful. Bonnie encourages that they had fun and two beautiful children. Bonnie adds that relationships end for all sorts of reasons. Bonnie encourages her to treasure all the good memories. Nancy thanks her. Bonnie asks what they are going to do now. Nancy responds that Craig has already gotten himself a boyfriend. Nancy notes that was fast. Nancy points out that he’s younger and someone that Craig says he’s crazy in love with. Nancy calls it a big adjustment to be all alone after sharing 30+ years with someone who was her husband and best friend. Bonnie declares that if Craig has a new boyfriend, Nancy can get one too. Nancy doesn’t think that’s the answer but Bonnie thinks it is.

Sonny knocks on Craig’s door again and shouts that they aren’t going anywhere until he hears what they have to say. Craig then answers the door and invites them in. Craig assumes Chloe and Brady sent them which Will confirms and says is because they care about him. Sonny adds that they don’t want Craig to get hurt by Leo the same way he did. Craig knows Leo is far from perfect. Will says about as far as it gets actually. Craig says it still doesn’t change how he feels about him. Sonny says he knows what it’s like to be taken in by Leo and he learned the hard way that he is always out for himself.

Brady asks Leo how long he was standing over there. Leo doesn’t think he needs to explain himself right now. Chloe says they just ran in to each other. Brady claims he was meeting a client and Chloe just happened to be there. Leo says he knows exactly why they are here and points out that it’s a bar. Leo calls Brady a raging alcoholic and guesses he fell off the wagon again.

Paulina questions Eli letting Lani take the babies to see Ray Coates. Eli clarifies that she knows they don’t think of Ray as the kids’ grandfather or Lani’s dad and he meant Abe as the twins are spending the night at his house. Paulina apologizes and says Ray being in town just makes her nervous. Eli understands she has good reason but notes that TR hasn’t been back over since Paulina ran him off. Paulina is surprised since he never took no for an answer. Paulina says the other night, he was determined as ever to make sure he’s part of Lani’s life.

TR questions Lani taking the kids to see their grandfather and guesses that is Abe Carver, noting that he did his research. Lani says she should get going. TR invites her to join him for a drink after dropping the twins off. Lani doesn’t think that would be a good idea because Paulina wants her to stay very far away from him. TR understands and says he won’t push but he’ll be at the Brady Pub. Lani responds that she already had dinner. TR says he won’t keep her but she knows where he will be if she changes her mind. Lani tells him not to count on it. TR tells them to have a great night and walks away.

Leo tells Brady that he won’t tell anyone that he’s drinking again. Brady assures that he is sober and just happened to run in to Chloe, but he will get going. Leo invites Brady to join them on he and Chloe’s bonding session. Brady doesn’t want to intrude but Leo says that Brady is important to Chloe, so he’s important to him. Brady says he just made his day. Leo encourages Brady to stick around. Chloe agrees so Brady decides to stay. Leo sits with them. Chloe asks Leo to tell them everything about himself. Leo says they already know the bad stuff. Chloe wants to know the side that Craig knows, the real Leo, so she tells him to start from the beginning.

Craig tells Will and Sonny that they are wasting their time because he knows who Leo is and they are very happy together, so nothing they say can change that. Will says he has nothing to lose by hearing what Sonny has to say then. Craig agrees to listen and they sit down. Craig asks how Sonny met Leo. Sonny explains that he joined a dating app when he and Will got divorced. Sonny says he and Leo eventually met up for drinks and hit it off. Sonny says it all went really well until he found out it wasn’t an accident that they met on a dating app and that Leo was paid to pull him in and seduce him.

Bonnie tells Nancy that the best way to get over somebody is to find somebody new. Nancy cries that she doesn’t want somebody new. Bonnie encourages that being a little uncomfortable with somebody new is a lot better than moping over someone you can’t have. Bonnie says her life is not over and she knows there’s another man out there for Nancy. TR Coates walks in to the Pub, so Bonnie tells Nancy that she thinks he just walked in the door. Bonnie says he’s gorgeous and calls TR over which Nancy questions. TR asks if he can help them. Bonnie hopes he can and introduces herself and Nancy. Bonnie says she is happily married but Nancy is single and ready to mingle. Bonnie suggests TR buy Nancy a drink.

Eli questions Paulina saying that TR told her that he intends to be part of Lani’s life. Paulina reveals that it was in his hotel room on Valentine’s Day. Eli questions what she was doing in his hotel room. Paulina says he sent her flowers so she took them back. Eli thinks she should’ve just dumped them in the garbage. Paulina didn’t want him to think she kept them. Eli doesn’t like Paulina being alone in a room with a guy who used to beat her. Paulina felt she had to go give him a piece of her mind and to warn him to stay away from Lani. Eli asks what he said. Paulina says that TR blamed her for hurting Lani. Eli says that’s how guys like him work. Paulina argues that TR tried to say her lying to Lani about him is the same as him hitting her. Eli assures that Lani knows she only lied to her to protect her from an abusive father. Paulina hopes that Lani gets that. Eli asks if she’s going to stay away from TR now. Paulina says that’s what she was planning on, but then something happened. Paulina tells Eli that TR started telling her how he had changed after time in prison. Eli asks what she’s thinking. Paulina remembers her plan to turn the Horton Town Square in to Price Town. Eli asks what that has to do with anything since she realized she was wrong and apologized. Paulina points out that they all forgave her, so she wants to believe in second chances because they all gave her one. Eli says that was because she realized what she did was wrong, was genuinely sorry, and she apologized. Paulina wishes there was a way that to make sure that TR Coates and her low life ex are not still the same man.

TR tells Nancy that it’s nice to meet her but he’s waiting for someone so he walks away. Nancy tells Bonnie that was so embarrassing and thinks he was totally turned off. Bonnie argues that he just had plans. Bonnie calls her an attractive, charming woman. Bonnie tells her to just wait until she gets her on a dating app. Nancy doesn’t think those things are for her but Bonnie thinks they are. Bonnie tells Nancy to come to her house with her.

Craig questions why some woman would pay Leo to seduce Sonny. Sonny explains that she was trying to get back at Victor through his company, Titan, where he was CEO, so when he and Leo started dating, Leo got a job at Titan as Sonny’s assistant and that was Vivian Alamain’s doing. Craig questions why he’s telling him all of this. Sonny says he knows where he is as he had just lost the love of his life, so they were both vulnerable and Leo knew it. Sonny doesn’t want Leo to use Craig, the same way he used him. Craig questions what Leo did other than saying he liked him and taking a job. Sonny explains that he would either have to give up the job or they would have to stop seeing each other so as to not mix business and pleasure. Sonny adds that Leo chose the job and then they ended up having sex in his office where Leo planted a camera and planned to sue him for sexual harassment in a scandal to take down the company which Vivian wanted. Will points out that Leo was happy to do it if the price was right.

Leo talks to Chloe and Brady about being an artist and having a few gallery showings. Chloe asks about his art. Leo says he was a painter and did it all. Brady asks more questions. Leo asks if they are really this fascinated by his love of art or if they are stalling to give Will and Sonny more time to hate on him to Craig. Chloe claims to have no idea what he’s talking about. Leo tells her to save the innocent act and asks if she really thought he was dumb enough to think that she suddenly wanted to hang out with him. Leo insults them and says he’s had enough. Brady stops him to ask how he knew what they were up to. Leo says he was suspicious, so he hung around the Salem Inn long enough to see Sonny and Will arrive and ask for Craig’s room number. Leo is sure they are giving Craig an earful right now.

Sonny asks Craig if Leo told him that he blackmailed him in to marrying him. Craig confirms he’s well aware that they were married. Sonny argues that Leo was dying to be Mr. Sonny Kiriakis and bets he’s dying to Mr. Dr. Wesley, but it’s always about the money with him. Craig questions how Leo was able to blackmail him into marriage. Sonny calls it complicated but says it all started when Will found out about Leo’s past as a male escort, which would destroy his sexual harassment case. Sonny says when they confronted Leo with the information, he attacked Will, so he pushed him off and he hit his head. Will adds that they thought he was dead, so they rolled him up in a rug to get rid of the body. Will admits they are not proud of it. Sonny says they made a horrible mistake but Leo was alive and healed just fine, but when he got back to Salem, he said if he didn’t marry him, he would have him charged with attempted murder. Craig feels Leo is the victim here, not them, and says it was in the past. Craig says they have all done things they are not proud of, but Leo has changed. Craig then opens the door for them to leave. Sonny responds that he’s sorry but he’s wrong, and he can prove it.

Eli wants to know the truth about TR Coates just as much as Paulina does, so he can make a background check because he has a contact at the ISA. Paulina says he sounds like the solution to her problems. Eli assures that he’ll start digging tomorrow and if there’s anything to prove that TR hasn’t changed, he’ll find it.

Chloe tells Leo that she won’t try to apologize for trying to protect her dad. Chloe doesn’t trust Leo and never will as she thinks he’s after Craig for his money. Leo only cares about what Craig thinks and says that Craig has never been happier. Leo adds that Craig hasn’t been happy in a really long time. Leo assures that he loves Craig with his entire heart and soul. Leo decides he’s going to be with the man he loves but jokes they should do this again sometime. Leo then exits, leaving Brady and Chloe disappointed in their plan.

Craig informs Sonny and Will that he knows all about Leo stealing the emerald and from what he understands, several major cities would’ve been vaporized if Leo didn’t switch the emeralds, so in his book, Leo is a hero. Will questions thinking Leo stole the emerald to be a hero. Craig responds that he is a hero to him. Craig asks if they read anything about Leo’s parents. Sonny reveals that he did meet Leo’s mom. Craig asks if they knew Leo’s father used to physically and emotionally abuse him and ridicule him because he was gay. Craig adds that Leo stood up to his father by embracing who he was and he wishes he had that strength at his age. Craig assures he’s not naïve and gullible as he sees Leo Stark for exactly who he is and he makes him happy. Craig tells Will and Sonny to get out of his room. Sonny tells Craig that they didn’t come because they think he’s naïve, but because he wishes that someone had warned him about Leo. Sonny and Will then exit the room as Leo arrives and tells them, “nice try, bitches”.

Bonnie brings Nancy to her room for a makeover. Nancy says she doesn’t have to do this. Bonnie says it’s no trouble as Justin had a last minute meeting with a client. Bonnie says they have to stick together and when they are done, Nancy will love looking in the mirror. Bonnie says before she knows it, dudes will be eating out of her hand on the dating app. Bonnie suggests also doing something with her hair.

TR sits alone at the Pub and tells himself to give up as it’s not happening, so he asks for the check. Lani then enters the Pub, surprising TR. TR says he’s so glad she came. Lani says it’s just one drink and tells him not to look too much in to it. Lani clarifies that Abe Carver is her father and that is not up for discussion. Lani adds that she will never okay with what he did to Paulina as it’s never okay for a man to put his hands on a woman. TR swears to never do anything that horrible again. Lani warns him about if she finds out this new him is an act and reminds him that she is a cop. Lani admits part of her is curious about him but she doesn’t know where this will lead. Lani says against her better judgment, she’s here. TR calls it a start and thanks her. TR asks if she’s sure she’s not hungry. Lani agrees to eat so TR calls for the waitress.

Nancy asks Bonnie if her hair scared TR off. Bonnie recalls Nancy having gorgeous red hair back in the day and goes to get hair dye.

Will and Sonny meet Chloe and Brady at the bar. Chloe hopes they were able to get through to Craig. Will says unfortunately, not even close. Sonny adds that Craig is even more convinced than before that Leo loves him.

Leo returns to Craig’s room and they kiss.

Eli begins researching TR Coates as he calls Agent Billie Reed. Eli informs her that Shane Donovan told him that she is the one to speak to if he ever needed help from the ISA. Eli says he’s going to need everything they’ve got on a guy he’s investigating. Eli says it’s TR Coates, who used to go by Ray as well.

Lani orders mayonnaise with her fries and acknowledges that everyone thinks it’s gross. TR points out that he was just about to ask for the same thing and says it must be in the genes.

Bonnie has Nancy dye her hair red and a new outfit. Bonnie praises her look and assures they will get her a young, hot hunk.

Craig and Leo lay in bed together. Craig asks about Leo’s time with Chloe. Leo says it was fine and mentions that Brady was there. Leo claims that Chloe asked him questions and seemed interested in getting to know him. Craig informs him that it was only pretend because she sent Will and Sonny to pay him a visit. Leo mentions seeing them on his way out and figured they were there to see him. Craig questions Leo knowing they were her and asks if he told them. Leo says that Chloe is his daughter so he doesn’t want to get between them. Craig doesn’t know what he did to deserve him but says he did it right.

Chloe complains that this was all for nothing but Brady encourages that Craig still got to hear about Leo from the two that Leo hurt them most. Will brings up that Leo made sure Craig knew about his rotten childhood with his homophobic father. Chloe laments that it would get to Craig. Will assures they didn’t get to him. Chloe refuses to give up, feeling she has to make Craig see Leo for who he really is. Sonny thinks he has an idea…

Update written by Joseph

Justin sits at home in the living room of the Kiriakis Mansion, reading a book. Bonnie walks in wearing a robe. Justin thought they were going out to dinner but Bonnie informs him that Victor and Maggie went to Chicago on an overnight trip, so they have the whole place to themselves and she’s always wanted to make love in the light of a roaring fire. Bonnie then removes her robe right as Justin’s son, Sonny walks in to the room.

Marlena finishes a call at the hospital and comments on it being her third patient this week to cancel. Her grandson Will then arrives, surprising her with his return to Salem.

John and Brady eat together at the Brady Pub. John tells him about Marlena running in to Steve and Kayla at the hospital. Brady asks how they are doing. John says they are in pretty good shape considering what Kristen put them through. Brady says they never would have been on that island if he hadn’t hired Steve to find Kristen and he knew it would be dangerous. John argues that Steve knew what he was getting in to, he’s just sorry Brady didn’t get the answers he was looking for. Brady mentions that Steve said Kristen swore she had nothing to do with framing him for Philip’s death. Brady adds that now that Kristen has escaped again, he’s at square one and doesn’t even know if Philip is alive or dead. John points out that until then, he can’t move on with Chloe.

Chloe and Nancy sit together in the town square. Chloe tells Nancy that she has to tell her something about last night. Chloe reveals she wasn’t working late. Nancy says she knew that and guesses that she and Brady went out for Valentine’s Day. Chloe confirms that she did go out with Brady, but it wasn’t a date as they had dinner with Craig and his new boyfriend.

Craig and Leo have room service in their hotel room. Leo says he likes having him all to himself but Craig says he’s not sure about their relationship.

Brady tells John that he’s right since Chloe and Philip were together when he disappeared. Brady admits he would love to start something up with Chloe but he doesn’t feel right pursuing a relationship with her while they don’t know what happened to Philip. John asks what if they never find out. Brady notes that Nancy asked the same question and he guesses that he and Chloe would stay in limbo. John questions that being forever. Brady talks about Nancy being determined to play cupid but she’s backed off recently since finding out that her husband has been cheating on her with a man. John questions Brady meeting Craig’s boyfriend. Brady reveals that John has met him too.

Nancy asks Chloe about the man Craig is seeing being in Salem. Chloe confirms that he flew in last night and he did it before Craig could even stop him. Chloe mentions his name is Leo Stark. Chloe admits she was reluctant to do it, so she took Brady for emotional support. Nancy questions them having a double date. Chloe says it wasn’t like that and apologizes for not being upfront with her but she didn’t want her to feel like she wasn’t being loyal to her. Nancy declares that Chloe totally betrayed her.

Leo questions Craig having doubts about them but guesses he shouldn’t be surprised after Chloe and Brady attacked him at dinner. Leo admits it was awkward, horrible, and a complete disaster but says it wasn’t his fault because Chloe and Brady never even gave him a chance as they were determined to belittle him in front of the man he loves. Craig brings up Brady saying that Leo tried to screw him over. Leo argues that Brady is a total drama queen, who made a big deal out of nothing and poisoned Chloe against him. Leo asks if Brady has turned Craig against him too.

Justin and Bonnie are surprised to see Sonny back home and not in Arizona. Sonny guesses he should’ve called first as he turns away. Justin checks on Bonnie, who says she’s just totally mortified. Justin tells Sonny that he can turn around now as Bonnie puts her robe back on.

Will informs Marlena that they dropped Arianna off with Gabi and Sonny is seeing Justin. Marlena is so glad he’s there since he doesn’t get a chance to visit very often. Will says he’s sorry it’s been so long, especially considering everything Marlena has been through. Marlena says it’s just so good to see his face and he’s a perfect pick me up. Will asks if something is wrong. Marlena explains that her professional reputation has taken a hit and her career might be over.

John is shocked to learn that Craig is dating Leo Stark. Brady talks about how it was supposed to be a nice dinner but instead it was he and Chloe trying to convince Craig to dump Leo, but Craig wasn’t having it. Brady gets that Craig is in love and it’s an important relationship since he’s willing to throw away his marriage to Nancy. Brady reveals that he and Chloe have devised a plan to rescue Craig from Leo’s clutches but John warns that he thinks that’s a really bad idea.

Nancy cries that Chloe always took her father’s side against her which Chloe calls not true and says she’s not taking sides. Nancy complains that she spent last night alone while Chloe and Brady were out celebrating Valentine’s Day with her father and his new boyfriend. Chloe apologizes for hurting her feelings. Nancy doesn’t think she should have gone. Chloe cries that she doesn’t want to hurt Craig’s feelings either as she loves both of them and she doesn’t like being stuck in the middle of this. Nancy cries that she’s so sorry and agrees they have put her in a terrible position. Nancy feels so displaced, thinking of Chloe and Brady being out with Craig and his new boyfriend, bonding and having a great time. Chloe assures that’s not exactly how it went as the whole evening was a complete disaster.

Craig admits he wasn’t thrilled to hear about all the schemes Leo has pulled but says he has no right to judge since he’s done his share of underhanded things. Craig says the problem is that his daughter can’t stand him. Leo argues that Chloe doesn’t even know him so that’s unfair. Craig has reservations about moving forward in this relationship if that means there’s a chance of losing Chloe over it. Leo argues that he can’t let Chloe dictate his love life. Craig says that his daughters are very important to him. Leo asks if he’s breaking up with him then.

Justin and Sonny hug, talking about how much they missed each other. Justin hopes that they are in town for awhile. Sonny says it’s all kind of up in the air right now. Sonny guesses he should’ve given some notice but asks if he minds if they stay here for a little while. Justin assures that this is his home. Bonnie jokingly promises to lock the door next time her and Justin are alone together. Bonnie then goes to change clothes. Justin apologizes to Sonny for that. Sonny understands they are still in their honeymoon phase. Sonny apologizes if he’s a little awkward about Bonnie because she looks so much like his mom but is so different. Sonny says he’s tried to let it go to support their marriage but he can’t forget about all things Bonnie did to Adrienne. Sonny tells Justin that he’s sorry. Justin says there’s no need to apologize as he understands this is difficult for him. Justin knows Sonny and Adrienne were very close and it was a terrible loss for all of them. Justin thought maybe Sonny had moved beyond his animosity towards Bonnie but guesses that’s not the case.

Marlena tells Will about all those years ago when she was possessed and how she lost all her patients then while now it’s happening all over again, so she shouldn’t be too surprised. Will points out that she’s not possessed anymore and she’s better. Marlena says it’s not that simple since the Devil was giving out very bad advice to her patients. Marlena notes that she apparently encouraged one of her patients to cheat on her husband in the form of self care. Will argues that they didn’t have to take that advice. Marlena responds that she did take her advice and now her life is in shambles and she’s switching to another doctor like half of her patients. Marlena expects that the board will want her to resign.

Brady asks John how it’s a bad idea to keep Craig from being used. John asks how he knows Leo is using him. Brady calls Leo bad news and says he’s after Craig for his money because he’s a scam artist. John suggests people can change. Brady questions why John is defending Leo. John reveals he doesn’t think Leo is as bad as Brady is making him out to be.

Chloe tells Nancy that she told Craig that he was making a huge mistake and she knows she upset him and that he was freaked out, but she didn’t care, and then she and Brady stormed out of the bar. Chloe tells Nancy that she thinks Leo is a lying snake, using Craig for his money. Nancy declares that if Craig is being taken advantage of, she can’t do nothing. Chloe feels she shouldn’t get involved. Nancy points out that he’s still her husband. Chloe reminds her that she asked him for a divorce. Nancy says that was before she knew that he was being duped by a gold digger. Nancy then rushes off to the Salem Inn.

Craig tells Leo that he’s feeling so conflicted and it’s been complicated from the beginning. Leo argues that Craig is just afraid of being with a man and is looking for an excuse. Craig assures that’s not it. Leo argues that they hit one tiny bump in the road but they love and understand each other. Leo knows this is overwhelming and says he was very young when he came out, but for Craig, he’s turning his entire life upside down. Leo calls that a good thing because Craig lived his life until now for his wife and daughters while denying his true feelings. Leo encourages that now it’s time for Craig to be his true self and he cannot let Nancy, his daughters, or anybody stop him from doing that. Craig asks what if his daughters cut him out of their lives. Leo assures that won’t happen and promises they will come around when they see how happy he is. Craig tells Leo how much he loves him. Leo says he loves him too as they hug. They then remove each others shirts until Nancy walks in and orders Leo to get his paws off of her husband. Chloe follows her in and apologizes to Craig, saying it was all her fault. Nancy says that Chloe was just telling her all about Leo and how he’s taking advantage of him. Craig says this isn’t the time or place. Nancy accuses Leo of being after Craig’s money. Leo talks about hearing what a wonderful person and mother Nancy is. Leo understands this must be difficult for her, but he assures that his love for Craig is real with no hidden agenda. Nancy calls Leo the man who stole her husband. Leo wants them to be friends which Nancy laughs off. Leo says Nancy and Craig will still be in each others’ lives because of their children so he wants them to get along. Leo proposes a toast to new beginnings.

Brady reminds John of the horrible things that Leo did to their family. John acknowledges that Leo had problems but when he and Leo thought they were father and son, he saw a different side of him. John calls Leo just a kid who was desperate for love and acceptance. Brady doesn’t think that excuses his behavior. John suggests maybe Leo has found that love and acceptance with Craig and it’s possible it made him a better person. Brady sticks with his doubts and says John can defend Leo, but he knows damn well that Leo is going to break Craig’s heart in two unless he does something to break them up.

Will asks Marlena if the board has asked her to resign. Marlena says no but they have been dropping hints. Marlena adds that it won’t help that “Possessed: The Marlena Evans Story” is coming out soon. Will is surprised to learn that Johnny is still making the movie. Marlena is surprised that Johnny didn’t tell Will because he’s still giving Will story credit. Will questions how Johnny could go forward with it. Marlena explains that his producer is making him fulfill his contract and he couldn’t get out of it. Will feels there has to be something they can do since it’s Marlena’s life story. Marlena says unfortunately, she had already signed the release so she doesn’t have any options. Marlena declares that when the movie does come out, she expects to be fired if that hasn’t happened already.

Justin asks Sonny if he didn’t come to their first wedding because he didn’t approve of Bonnie. Sonny assures he did have a work emergency and couldn’t take time off. Sonny adds that he would have given his blessing but some things that happened at the ceremony gave him pause. Justin argues that he wasn’t there. Sonny says he heard all about Bonnie shooting a woman, leaving the bloody corpse in their bed and then came down to marry him like nothing happened and then Xander walks in to collect a million dollars that she stole from him and she left in handcuffs. Sonny asks if he can blame him for having been a little concerned. Justin calls it a long story as none of it was Bonnie’s fault. Sonny points out that wasn’t even the end of it. Justin knows he nearly lost his law license but that wasn’t her fault either. Sonny argues that Justin tried to extort a judge. Justin admits he did it for Bonnie and he would do it again. Sonny remarks that it’s not very comforting. Justin gets what happened at their wedding gave him pause, but he needs to know if Sonny is not going to move on from that. Justin asks Sonny if he still has a problem with his wife. Sonny admits that Bonnie is not the wife he would’ve chosen for Justin, but if she makes him happy then he will give her a chance and support this marriage 1000%. Justin hugs Sonny and says it means so much to him. Bonnie, having overheard from outside the room, rushes in with tears in her eyes to hug Sonny and tell him that it means so much to her too. Bonnie thanks Sonny for not hating her. Sonny assures that he doesn’t hate her and he just needed to hear directly from Justin that he is happy, so they are good. Bonnie declares that she’s so relieved as now they can be a family. Bonnie tells Sonny that he can call her mom if he wants. Sonny says not to get carried away.

John knows Brady is trying to protect Craig but warns that he and Chloe just need to stay out of this. Brady appreciates John’s input but says it’s kind of too late as the plan is already under way. John questions what this plan is. Marlena arrives with Will, surprising John and Brady. They get up and hug Will. John asks Marlena about not telling him that Will was coming. Marlena calls it a complete surprise to her as well. John asks what brings Will here. Brady then reveals that it was him who asked Will and Sonny to come to Salem.

Leo acknowledges this is an awkward situation because he’s dating Nancy’s husband, but says they don’t have to be at each others’ throats. Leo remarks that he is what’s best for Craig and how happy he is. Nancy says it’s one thing for Craig to ask her to accept that he’s gay, but not to deal with this piece of trash Leo. Leo argues that he’s trying to extend an olive branch. Nancy tells him to stick it where the sun don’t shine. Nancy then takes the glass of champagne and tosses it on Leo. Nancy then walks out of the room. Craig asks if Chloe is going to go after her. Chloe feels Nancy wants to be alone right now and since she’s here, she wanted to apologize to Leo which surprises him. Chloe says she felt like she was out of line the other night and hoped they could start over.

Justin and Bonnie sit together. Bonnie is so happy things went well with Sonny. Justin calls him a good man. Justin points out that Sonny and Will are going to be out for awhile, so they can pick up where they left off. Bonnie feels the mood is broken now and she’s hungry so she offers to go get something to eat. Justin asks if she’s sure she wants the roaring fire to go to waste. Bonnie suggests they have a picnic right in front of it. Bonnie tells Justin to resume reading and she’ll be home before he knows it.

Craig questions Chloe suddenly being willing to give Leo another chance. Chloe admits she would be skeptical of anyone Craig is dating and she was just thinking about what she said, so she felt like she was being unreasonable. Chloe says they all have a past and whatever Leo’s is. Chloe adds that all that matters is that Leo clearly makes Craig happy, so she hoped they could start again. Leo agrees so Chloe offers to take Leo out for drinks tonight just the two of them. Leo agrees and says he’ll go get dressed. Chloe says she will go get them a table at the bar to have their do over from the other night. Craig thanks Chloe for doing this and tells her how much it means to him as he hugs Chloe.

John asks Will if he and Sonny didn’t mind just dropping everything to fly here, just to talk to Craig. Sonny arrives and calls it the perfect chance to see family and friends. Brady explains that he was just filling them in on their plan. Sonny is glad Brady called because he wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the hell that Leo put he and Sonny through. Will asks when they talk to Craig. Brady says he’s waiting to hear from Chloe as it’s all about making sure Leo isn’t around. Brady gets a text from Chloe that step one is green lit. Brady declares that Operation: Free Craig is a go.

John and Marlena go to the Kiriakis Mansion to see Justin. John says they are sorry to drop by so late. Marlena hopes they aren’t intruding on Justin’s evening. Justin says not at all as Bonnie just left to pick up dinner. Justin asks what’s going on. John reveals that they need a lawyer. Justin asks why they didn’t ask Belle. Marlena explains that Belle is awfully busy with EJ’s appeal. Justin asks what he can do for them. Marlena is afraid the hospital is going to ask her to resign. Justin questions why they would do that. Marlena informs him that they didn’t like some of the things she did when she was not herself. Justin calls that unfair since those things were not her fault. John states that they don’t see it that way and they worry that Marlena might be in for a real fight. Marlena hopes that Justin will represent her if that happens. Justin agrees and says he’s always happy to help a friend.

Nancy sits at the bar of the Brady Pub and thinks back to her relationship with Craig. Nancy takes a drink and tries to tell herself not to cry. Bonnie enters and recognizes Nancy as Chloe’s mom. Bonnie introduces herself as Mimi Lockhart’s mom. Bonnie tells Nancy that it’s nice to see her and asks if she’s okay. Nancy claims she’s fine and everything is great as she blames allergies. Bonnie says it was good to see her and to have a good evening. Bonnie goes to leave but Nancy breaks down crying, so Bonnie goes back and hugs her.

Will and Sonny show up at Craig’s door. Craig asks if he can help them. Will says actually they are here to help him. Craig doesn’t understand and asks who they are. Sonny introduces he and Will then says they are here to talk about his boyfriend, Leo Stark.

Brady finds Chloe at the bar and asks where Leo is. Chloe says he is on his way and asks about Will and Sonny. Brady says they should be at Craig’s room now. Chloe hopes that they can talk some sense in to Craig. Brady says they just have to buy them some time. Chloe remarks that she’ll need several drinks to make nice with Leo. Brady encourages that they will get through this whole thing together. Brady adds that it will be worth it just to get Leo off of Craig’s back. Chloe hopes it works. Brady asks if she thinks Leo suspects anything. Leo then appears and questions what is going on here.

Recap written by Christine

At Crimson Lights, Victoria was short with Nikki, leading Nikki to say she wasn’t the enemy. Victoria was furious because her parents weren’t accepting that she was an adult who had the right to live her own life without interference. She accused Nikki of knowing Victor was saying Ashland faked his cancer. Nikki explained that she found out shortly before Victoria did. Victoria noted that Nikki didn’t warn her. Nikki said she was in shock, and she wanted to think it was a mistake. Victoria hoped Nikki didn’t believe these hateful and disgusting insinuations. Nikki wasn’t sure what to believe. She noted that Ashland did die about his past. She added that Ashland acted like he’d just happened upon this clinic in Peru, when he’d actually been funding it for years. Victoria suggested she found it easy to forgive Ashland’s transgressions because she’d had to do the same thing for Victor so often. Nikki said all Victor ever tried to do was protect Victoria, even if his method wasn’t perfect. Nikki stated that Victor was trying to protect Victoria now too. “By going after my husband, he’s already lost me,” Victoria replied.

It broke Nikki’s heart that Victoria was talking like her relationship with Victor was irreparable. She asked if Victoria really thought Victor could make something like this up. Victoria pointed out that Victor was known to do underhanded things. She reminded Nikki that when Ashland had a heart attack, Victor made him sign over Newman Media before he’d call for help. Victoria asked if Victor was claiming Ashland faked the heart attack too. “What if these accusations are true,” Nikki asked. “How dare you, Mother!” Victoria replied. Victoria was sure the accusation was false. She conceded that Ashland had been ruthless, just like her father, but this would require a different level of deception. “You’re saying that the man that I adore doesn’t love me. You’re saying that he’s evil and conniving and that I have been a fool all along,” Victoria stated. Nikki gently suggested that Ashland had set this plan in motion before he even met Victoria. Nikki implored Victoria to talk to Michael and hear him out. Victoria was hurt and offended – she thought Nikki, of all people would be on her and Ashland’s side. “I am on your side. As your mother, your COO and your friend!,” Nikki was near tears as she stormed off. Victoria called Michael and left him a message.

At Newman Locke, Ashland blasted someone over the phone. He didn’t want any more surprises. “You disappoint me again, it’ll be your last time,” Ashland said then he ended the call. Nate showed up, and Ashland immediately knew he’d spoken to Victor. Nate wanted to hear Ashland say that Victor was wrong. Ashland said this was a revenge plot from some enemy he’d made along the way. Nate asked who hated Ashland that much. Ashland thought it’d be easier to name the people who didn’t want his head on a platter. Ashland noted that Nate was with him through the worst parts of his illness, and he was beside Ashland when he married the woman who changed his life. Ashland understood why Victor felt this way – he was protecting his daughter, assuming that was all it was. Ashland suggested Victor’s feelings had changed because Ashland wasn’t at death’s door anymore. Ashland needed to know Nate believed him. He valued their friendship, and he hated to believe Nate was buying into this. Nate wanted to believe Ashland, because one would have to be an awful person to lie about having a fatal illness.

Ashland wasn’t going to spend more time trying to figure out Victor’s motives. He said Nate was his primary concern. Ashland had few friends – the more money he made, the more isolated he’d become. Aside from Victoria, Nate was one of Ashland’s most trusted friends. Ashland felt he could confide in Nate and be honest with him. That was part of the reason he made the impulsive decision to ask Nate to be his best man, even though they hadn’t known each other that long. Ashland asked if Nate thought he could lie about something like this. Nate said it was difficult to imagine. Ashland said people had been coming after him his entire life. Ashland thought Victor bought into this because he never really trusted Ashland. Nate had known Victor a long time, and while Nate didn’t like everything Victor did, Victor was smart and thorough. Nate said Victor wouldn’t make an accusation like this without proof. Ashland said his enemies laid this trap carefully, but he wasn’t going to allow these people to dismantle the accomplishments he’d made with the Newmans. Nate asked if Ashland saw his marriage to Victoria as an accomplishment.

Ashland didn’t see the marriage as an accomplishment. Marrying Victoria was the best thing to ever happen to him. She was the true love of his life who stood by him through so many tribulations. Nate wanted to know what Ashland was referring to as an accomplishment. Ashland snapped that he was obviously talking about the merger, which was also the crowning achievement in Victoria’s career – she imagined it and made it happen. He couldn’t be happier more more proud of her. Marrying Victoria was a gift – she made him happy, and he’d made her happy too – happier than she’d ever been, according to her. He didn’t know how much longer he had left with her, but he wasn’t going to let anyone take away one single second of that time.

Ashland said Nate had gotten a look at how rough and tumble the business world could be at the higher levels. Ashland intended to expose this sham and put an end to it so they could focus on the future – one that included Nate at Newman Locke. Victoria came in, and Ashland told her why Nate was there. Victoria was humiliated that her family was spreading this rumor. Victoria said Nate saw Ashland’s records and the toll this had taken on him. Nate said everything he saw supported this diagnosis. Victoria asked Nate to go to her father and tell him how insane this was. Nate hoped the truth came out sooner than later. Ashland said they were lucky to have Nate as a friend. He looked forward to discussing Nate’s future at Newman Locke. Nate left. Victoria was relieved Nate wasn’t buying into this nonsense. Victoria wondered why Ashland looked so upset, given that he had the chief of surgery on his side. “Victor’s protecting his daughter. I can understand that. But why he felt the need to go to my friend and poison him against me…” Ashland supposed it was better that everything was out in the open. Ashland wanted to find out who was behind the disgusting allegations. He wanted to remove any shred of doubt from Victor’s mind, and from anyone else’s. Ashland was going to put all his energy in finding out who was trying to destroy his life. He asked Victoria if she could look him in the eye and say she believed him. She promised she’d always support him. She thought they should celebrate that. She gave him the contract that would make him her co-CEO. Ominous music played as Ashland signed the contract.

Nate met Elena at Society. He told her that someone was making scandalous accusations about Ashland. Elena said Ashland was no angel, but she’d thought falling in love with Victoria would’ve changed him. She asked if he thought the accusations were true. He didn’t want to believe it. He said it would’ve been one thing if Victor had approached him with this, but it was Nick. Elena understood the gravity of the Newman with the heart of gold reaching out. Nate heard Ashland out and found him very convincing, but Nate had doubts about Ashland and about taking the job at Newman Locke.

Elena told Nate they’d focus on getting a meal now. She wasn’t going to pry for details on Ashland. She told him to trust his gut – if something felt wrong, it probably was. Nate said that was what he was afraid of. He needed to find out who was behind this.

Lauren ran into Kevin at Society and asked when he last heard from his brother. It had been almost two days since she’d heard from Michael. Kevin had done some work for Victor, off the books, and he kept his employees busy. That was why Lauren had her reservations about this job. Victor persuaded Michael it was a part time job, then he sent Michael out of the country, likely on some kind of shady business. Kevin thought there were a million reasons Michael could be out of contact – his phone was lost or broken, he didn’t have cell service, he’d gotten on a plane and turned it off. Lauren thought about all that too. Lauren said that Michael knew she’d be scared, and he’d find a way to let her know he was okay. She couldn’t shake the feeling Victor got Michael involved in something bad. Lauren believed Victor hired Michael so that he’d get attorney-client privilege. Lauren said Michael loved the idea of handling Victor’s secret projects, and she was afraid he was now paying the price.

Lauren thought Michael was doing work for Victor that would usually be done by a private investigator. Kevin was sure Michael could take care of himself. Lauren agreed, and that was why she was so worried. Kevin said he’d do some digging. Lauren was glad to hear that. Chloe arrived and she wanted to tell Lauren about Chelsea’s trip to NY. Lauren was interested, but she didn’t have time right now. She left. Kevin confided that he was worried about Michael. Kevin had predicted that if Michael went to work for Victor, it would only lead to trouble. Chloe didn’t want Kevin to let himself get pulled into Lauren’s fears about Michael. Chloe said there were a lot of mundane reasons why Michael could be out of contact. Kevin had told Lauren the same thing, but Lauren said something was off, and she was right. Kevin thought Victor chose Michael because he needed help doing something top secret and delicate. Kevin said if his brother was in trouble, he had no one to help him. Kevin thought they owed to to Michael to investigate.

Victor went to Newman Media and told Adam that Ashland called his bluff and told Victoria everything and proclaimed his innocence. Victoria believed Ashland, and she was furious with Victor. Victor said he’d been forced into the untenable position of telling his beloved daughter that she was married to a fraud. Adam said they knew Ashland’s reputation before he proposed. Victor was mad he allowed Ashland to come into their family and spin his web of deception. Adam said it wasn’t Victor’s fault. Victor said it would be if they allowed Ashland to sign the contract that made him co-CEO of Newman Locke. Victor wasn’t sure how to stop Ashland yet. Adam asked if Victor had heard from Michael. Victor hadn’t, and it bothered him terribly. He hoped Michael went into hiding. Adam thought they had to consider the possibility that Ashland countered their move and had his people stop Michael’s investigation. Victor knew he’d need irrefutable proof to get Victoria to trust him over her husband. Right now, Victor didn’t have it, and that meant Ashland was in the driver’s seat, to Victor’s chagrin.

Just before Michael went missing, he texted Victor to say he was gathering all the dirt he had on Ashland and sending it to him. Victor never received the information. It really hurt Victor to think he’d lose Victoria’s love and trust. Nikki walked in and said Victoria was furious and heartbroken. Nikki was worried about how Victoria and Victor would ever recover if Victor was wrong. Lauren arrived just in time to hear Adam say they couldn’t count on Michael to save the day. Lauren wanted answers, and she didn’t care if they had an audience. Victor sent Nikki and Adam away.

Victor said Michael was on a delicate mission, and he’d surely be home as soon as he could. Lauren wasn’t sure if Victor was covering something up, or if he didn’t want to admit he’d lost contact with Michael. Lauren asked what Victor got Michael into. Victor said it was a delicate mission that Michael could handle. Lauren said supposed to be a short fact-finding mission. She told him he made it sound like an adventure, and Michael ate it up. She thought that he forgot to tell Michael how dangerous this was. Victor said he’d never put Michael in danger. Lauren’s gut told her something was very wrong. Victor said Michael was a good friend, and if anything went wrong, he’d move heaven and earth to get him back to Lauren. Lauren thought they needed to do that now. Victor said they didn’t know anything was wrong. Lauren asked what Victor would do if Nikki fell off the radar. Victor said he’d do the same thing Lauren was doing, and if Nikki was alright, she’d ask him why he was so worried. Lauren hoped Victor was telling her the truth. “If anything happens to Michael, I will never forgive you,” she said. Lauren left.

Victor talked to someone on the phone about Michael. Victor said, not only was Michael a good friend, he had the evidence Victor needed. He told the person to get to work on finding Michael. Adam returned and said Michael was a smart guy who’d gotten himself out of some tough spots. Victor never expected Ashland to get the upper hand. He thought Ashland would do whatever he could to keep Michael quiet, especially now that his back was against the wall.

Lauren met Chloe and Kevin at Crimson Lights. Kevin hacked into Michael’s devices and hit a brick wall when he tried tracking his brother. Lauren said she thought Victor didn’t want to admit he didn’t know where Michael was. Kevin said that if they didn’t hear from Michael by morning, he was going to get his cop buddies involved.

Update written by Joseph

Allie lays on the couch at home, looking at Tripp’s number on her phone until there’s a knock at the door. Allie answers the door to see Chanel. Allie apologizes for not showing up at the bakery. Chanel says she didn’t come to give her grief, but to find out if she and Tripp found a way to work things out. Allie says that would be a no.

Shawn goes to the hospital and finds Tripp. Shawn hopes that Tripp heard from his mother. Tripp says they spoke a few days ago and asks what’s going on. Shawn reveals that Ava escaped police custody this morning.

Chad informs Belle that Gabi Hernandez is the new CEO of DiMera. Belle asks how that’s even possible Chad explains that he and Tony were out of town. Belle asks how Abigail is. Chad says she’s fine and they are very lucky, but Gabi took advantage of the situation and called a shareholders meeting then managed to vote him out and her in. Belle asks what Jake got. Chad says it was a knife in his back.

Jake explains to Ben that they called a shareholders meeting to install him as CEO of DiMera but Gabi and Johnny pulled a fast one and now Johnny is on the board, Gabi is control of the company, and he’s on his ass. Ben says he’s so sorry. Jake asks why Ben thinks Johnny would try to pull something like this off. Ben doesn’t get why Gabi would do it. Jake says he’s trying to figure that out, but he knows Johnny got in Gabi’s head that he was going to screw her over and talked her in to screwing him over first.

Devil Johnny lays in bed until Susan shows up. Johnny asks what she’s doing here. Susan responds that she’s here to see if he really is her grandson. Johnny asks who else he would be. Johnny laughs it off and says their family tree can be confusing but he’s definitely her grandson. Susan talks about tracing her ancestors back 100 years so Johnny asks her to tell him more. Susan continues but then stops and says she knows he’s trying to distract her but she won’t be distracted from her mission. Susan tells Johnny that she knows Johnny DiMera is EJ’s son, but she’s here to ask and find out if he’s really Johnny DiMera.

Ben questions Jake thinking that Johnny stole Maggie’s phone to text him and then forged his signature to sign the petition to steal Gabi’s shares. Jake says he sure as hell didn’t do it but the question is how Johnny got Gabi to believe that she overheard him telling Maggie that he would turf her to get what he wanted, when he was never with Maggie. Jake adds that Gabi claims this alleged meeting at the mansion happened at the exact time that he was with Ben. Ben offers to tell Gabi that he was with him but Jake says she won’t believe him. Ben wonders if Jake will believe him when he tells him how he thinks Johnny did this. Jake says he’s listening.

Belle says she would’ve thought Gabi and Jake would be in cahoots on a power play like this. Chad says that apparently Jake made the same assumption but he wouldn’t be the first guy who thought he could trust Gabi. Belle questions Johnny being in on this with Gabi. Chad confirms Gabi went behind Jake’s back to enlist Johnny’s help and hung her boyfriend out to dry.

Tripp questions Ava escaping and asks if it has anything to do with Rafe’s trial. Shawn says this isn’t about Rafe as Ava was being held for questioning in the disappearance of Abigail and then someone posing as Ava’s lawyer walked her out of the station. Shawn adds that he’s still trying to get to the bottom of what happened. Tripp doesn’t understand as Ava didn’t even know Abigail and questions why she would have anything to do with her disappearance. Shawn says that’s his question and he’s hoping Ava has the answer. Shawn asks Tripp to give him a call if he hears from Ava which he agrees to do. Shawn then exits the hospital.

Chanel asks Allie if the engagement is really off. Allie confirms that it is. Allie says it was bad enough at the park when Tripp told her that he’d never trust her again and asked for the ring back, but then she ran in to him at the Brady Pub with Kate and Roman. Chanel asks what happened. Allie says she told Tripp how she felt and that she loved him but Tripp pretty much just shut her down and walked away. Chanel tells her that she’s so sorry and hugs her.

Tripp calls Ava and leaves a message that he’s worried about her and to call him back when she gets this. Ciara approaches and greets him, asking if everything is okay. Tripp claims everything is fine and asks about Ciara and the baby. Ciara says she’s great and just came for her prenatal vitamins. Ciara says she won’t keep him from his work and says to give Allie all her love. Tripp tells her that she’ll have to do that herself because they broke up.

Allie apologizes to Chanel for being such a mess. Chanel says she’s seen her worse. Allie cries that she really screwed up. Chanel blames herself and says it’s all her fault. Allie argues that she was the one in a relationship and she chose to sleep with Chanel then lie about it, so no one else is to blame but her. Allie talks about when Tripp would stay over almost every night and he’d wake up early to turn off the alarm so it didn’t wake up her and Henry, then he’d make her favorite breakfast. Allie says today her alarm went off and it reminded her that she blew it with the most amazing guy she’s ever known.

Belle questions where this Gabi and Johnny alliance came from as she didn’t know they even knew each other. Chad talks about Gabi’s ability to manipulate and Johnny not being so naive since when EJ went to prison, Johnny swore they were on the same side after what EJ did to Abigail. Belle brings up EJ denying his accusation. Chad argues that he saw EJ kiss his wife and Abigail experienced it, so either they are lying or EJ is lying as there is no other explanation.

Johnny questions Susan informing him that Ben and Ciara told her that he’s possessed by the Devil. Johnny plays it off as being about his movie which is called Possessed but they both know the Devil was sent back and he was in the room when it happened. Susan talks about how the Devil could find his way out of Marlena and directly in to Johnny. Johnny argues that a lot of other people were in that room, listing Sami, Belle, Allie, Eric, John, and Brady. Johnny gets that the Devil was after Ben and Ciara’s baby so it makes sense that they are nervous, but asks why they would think it was him when he barely knows Ciara and he just met Ben. Susan brings up Johnny bringing the cross from Julie to Ben and Ciara and the cross was turning upside down again and again outside their door.

Ben reminds Jake about the cross they had hanging outside which kept turning upside down and how Johnny brought it over to them. Ben adds that Julie had an emergency that Johnny happened to be around for and volunteered to deliver the cross. Jake questions Ben thinking Johnny is possessed by the Devil. Ben knows it sounds crazy and he’s not trying to put that type of stuff out there so he knows it could land him back in Bayview. Jake feels he has a right to be paranoid. Jake says that would explain how Johnny got Gabi to believe she overheard a meeting that never happened. Jake then realizes that Johnny told him exactly how he did it.

Belle asks Chad if he was motivated to not tell the whole truth when testifying against EJ. Chad swears that it happened exactly as he said it did as he found the money trail that linked EJ to Sami’s kidnapper on his computer at DiMera, then he went to the police and reported it. Belle calls that a direct and careful answer so she wonders if there is something he’s not telling her.

Tripp informs Ciara that right after Allie accepted his proposal, he found out that she cheated on him with Chanel. Ciara doesn’t get it since just last week she and Allie were talking about how happy they were and how in love Allie was with Tripp. Ciara asks if Tripp is sure about this. Tripp confirms that Allie admitted it as she had no choice after Johnny spilled her dirty little secret. Ciara questions Johnny being the one who told him.

Chanel recalls that Allie wanted to leave that night but she begged her to stay. Allie says there was no chance she was going to leave her alone. Chanel talks about Allie always being there for her and how much that means to her. Chanel wants to be there for Allie now and holds her hand. Chanel says that night, Allie held her and made the pain go away, so she wants to do the same for her…

Tripp explains to Ciara that he just put the ring on Allie’s finger when Johnny and Chanel showed up, and instead of congratulating them, Johnny asked Allie if she told him that she slept with Chanel. Ciara calls that horrible and she can’t believe Allie’s own brother would do that to her. Tripp remarks that Johnny seems to get off on making people miserable. Tripp adds that he is grateful that Johnny told him since Allie sure wasn’t going to. Tripp apologizes since Ciara and Allie are close, so maybe he should let her tell her. Ciara says she cares about Tripp too and she’s so sorry. Tripp guesses he’s just a guy that women use until something better comes along. Ciara says that’s not true but Tripp complains that he lost Ciara to Ben and now he’s lost Allie to Chanel. Tripp apologizes, admitting that was a rotten thing to say. Tripp declares that he’s just so tired of coming in second place with women he cares about.

Allie and Chanel lean in to kiss but they stop when Nicole comes home. Chanel decides to get going and tells Allie to call her as she then exits. Nicole asks if Allie is okay. Allie says yeah and she’d rather talk about Nicole, so she asks what happened in court today. Nicole informs her that the defense rested and closing arguments wrapped up, so now Rafe’s fate is in the hands of a jury.

Belle asks if Chad held something back from his testimony. Chad appreciates how dedicated she is to EJ’s case but points out that she’s still DiMera’s general counsel, so she should focus on what they pay her for. Chad argues that if she’s not going to help him oust Gabi and reclaim his CEO position, then he will find somebody who will.

Ben questions Jake saying that Johnny told him how he did it. Jake flashes back to Johnny mocking Jake’s accusations. Jake says now that he thinks about it, Johnny almost bragged about morphing in to him. Ben asks what happened after that. Jake says things got tense and they must have mixed it up because it ended up flat on his ass but things are fuzzy. Jake admits he was wondering how some kid got the best of him. Ben suggests maybe he wasn’t fighting a kid and he got sucker punched by the Devil. Jake says that makes no sense, yet it explains everything. Ben says the question is, how do they prove that?

Susan states that an inverted cross is the mark of the Devil. Johnny insists that he’s still her same grandson so he thinks if he was possessed by The Devil, she would know it.

Ben explains to Jake that he and Ciara called Susan Banks and she’s now talking to Johnny at the DiMera Mansion. Jake questions trusting Susan. Ben reminds Jake that Susan is the reason he reunited with Ciara when everyone else thought she was dead and that Susan was one of the first people to realize the Devil was in Marlena, so if Johnny is possessed, Susan will know.

Susan tells Johnny that she’s not sure what to think. Devil Johnny flashes back to telling Susan the truth. He asks Susan if she’s okay as she looks pale. Susan doesn’t know if he’s the Devil or not because she would feel the evil but that’s not how she feels. Devil Johnny flashes back to using his power to make Susan forget that he’s the Devil and making her leave town. Johnny claims that Susan would definitely know if he was the Devil which Susan agrees with. Susan decides there is no Devil here. Johnny tells her that she can go tell Ben and Ciara that Satan is gone and there’s nothing to worry about.

Allie tells Nicole that Rafe’s trial is moving really fast. Nicole argues that all they had were the three felons who lied about Rafe setting them up and the defense had some compelling witnesses. Allie asks if Rafe’s lawyer mentioned anything about Ava setting him up. Nicole explains that she couldn’t because she didn’t have proof. Allie offers to go through Ava’s stuff but Nicole says she would never ask her to go after her boyfriend’s mother like that. Allie then reveals to Nicole that Tripp is not her boyfriend anymore.

Ciara tells Tripp that he’s a wonderful man and she loves Allie, but he does not deserve to be lied to like that. Tripp thanks her. Ciara says she’s here if he needs anything. Tripp tells her that talking to her helped. Ciara decides she should get going and jokes about Ben being overprotective. Ciara then exits the hospital. Chanel then arrives and sees Tripp.

Susan asks Johnny if he’s still divorcing Chanel. Johnny says it’s for the best and that they have both moved on. Johnny claims he’s holding out for true love and that he’s sure Roger is missing her so she should get home. Susan brings up that Johnny is getting divorced and EJ is in prison, so she worries about people she loves. Susan hugs Johnny and says she loves him so much. Susan then gets the feeling about the Devil and declares that he’s still in Salem and under this roof.

Allie tells Nicole that it’s her fault and talks about how she was getting her life together but here she is just trashing it as Nicole hugs her.

Tripp tells Chanel that he has nothing to say to her. Chanel responds that she has something to say to him. Chanel insists that Allie loves him and what they did was one time and it’s over. Chanel asks Tripp to get that through his head because walking away from Allie would be the biggest mistake of his life. Chanel insists that Allie doesn’t want her, she wants him. Chanel asks Tripp to find it in his heart to forgive her.

Ben really thought Susan would be back by now and hopes she’s okay. Jake asks if he really thinks Johnny would hurt Susan. Ben hopes not. Jake decides to get going and tells him to let him know what happens if Susan ever comes back. Ciara returns home as Jake is leaving. Ciara jokes about still not having the baby swing together. Ben explains that he was telling Jake about their Johnny theory. Ciara asks if Jake thinks they are crazy. Jake responds that he just had a run in with him himself. Jake explains that Johnny helped Gabi double cross him and then Gabi dumped him. Ciara says she’s sorry. Jake says he’ll be alright and jokes that he’s leaving Ben to assemble the swing. Jake then exits. Ciara comments that it seems that the Devil has a thing for breaking up couples, first with Paulina and Abe, then Johnny broke up with Chanel, and now Gabi and Jake while also blowing up Tripp and Allie’s engagement.

Johnny thought they settled this Devil nonsense. Belle comes out from the living room and tells Susan that she’s doing everything in her power to overturn EJ’s conviction. Susan appreciates that since EJ doesn’t deserve to do penance for the sins of others. Johnny says he agrees. Belle says she’s about to get going. Johnny reminds Belle to get her coat. Johnny’s phone rings. Susan whispers to him, asking what about the Devil. Johnny says they will talk about it later as he steps away. Belle tells Susan that she will let her know if she hears any news on EJ. As Belle walks out of the mansion, Susan sees that Belle’s coat now has “666” on the back of it. Susan then begins to shout that Belle is the Devil.

Nicole tells Allie that she didn’t trash her life, she just made a mistake. Nicole says she’s made a lot of her own mistakes, especially with love. Nicole informs Allie that she learned that if you love someone and they love you back, there’s always a chance to make it right. Allie argues that she didn’t see how angry and hurt Tripp was. Allie cries that she doesn’t think Tripp will ever give her another chance.

Tripp argues that Allie made her choice the night she slept with Chanel. Chanel blames herself for coming on to Allie. Tripp says that she didn’t make Allie lie about it. Tripp tells Chanel to stop protecting her. Tripp complains that he’s an idiot and he could see how much they meant to each other from the first time she saw them. Tripp talks about coming to Chanel to support her when Johnny dumped her, but she lied to his face, so he doesn’t want to hear another word from her and he never wants to see Allie again. Tripp then walks away.

Ben can’t believe Johnny could be so cruel to his own sister. Ciara guesses it’s all the more proof that they are not dealing with Johnny. Susan races back to them in a panic with the bible and begins to pray. Ben asks if it’s true and what the hell happened. Ciara asks if the Devil is back in Salem. Ben asks if Johnny is possessed. Susan declares that the Devil is not in Johnny, but is now in Belle Brady.

Belle goes to the police station and greets Shawn. Shawn then asks what’s on the back of her coat.

Devil Johnny talks to the portrait of Stefano and says he fooled Susan again, so now Belle is going to be busy trying to convince everybody that she’s not the Devil and she won’t have time to spring EJ from prison while he turns up the heat on his plans. Chad then walks in and questions his plans for what.

Shawn tells Belle that it looks like some ash on the back of her coat and it came right off. Shawn asks if she’s been through a fire. Belle says she just came from the DiMera Mansion, where it looked like Chad just got royally burned.

Chad questions Johnny’s plan and if he’s telling Stefano about it. Johnny thinks he’d be proud of at least one of them. Chad argues that Gabi is using him. Johnny responds that there are worse things than being used by a beautiful woman. Chad asks if he thinks this is a game. Chad warns that he’s playing with the big boys now and this isn’t over as he will take back what’s his and then he can go to Hell. Chad walks out of the room. Devil Johnny remarks that the fun is just beginning.

Young & The Restless Update

Recap written by Christine

Billy and Lily had just finished a fabulous dinner at Society. She thanked him for pulling her away from her desk. It was hard for her to stop working, especially now that they were working from home, and surrounded by their jobs. She thought it must be even worse for him, because he’d been getting up in the middle of the night to work. She knew his last recording session didn’t go how he hoped, but she urged him to relax, because there was no deadline on this project. He was going to talk to Traci about writer’s block. He was hoping Traci would have an update on Jack, because he wasn’t answering Billy’s texts. She was going to visit Devon, Dom and get her baby fix. She was also hoping to talk to Devon about the merger again. Billy didn’t think that was the best idea, and Lily wanted to know why. She asked if he was against the merger or against her trying to convince Devon. Billy said he thought the merger was genius.

Billy didn’t think Lily should pressure Devon, who’d made it clear that he wanted to focus on Dom. Lily knew her brother, and she thought she just threw too much at him too soon. Billy suggested that Devon liked his position at Hamilton Winters and didn’t want to share it, not even with Lily. Billy knew Lily and Jill were disappointed. Lily narrowed her eyes and asked if that meant Billy wasn’t disappointed the merger wasn’t happening right now. Billy really hoped Devon came around, but he didn’t think that pressuring him was the answer. Lily hoped Billy would tell her if he didn’t like the idea of the merger. She hoped he’d be transparent with her, the way she was with him about her reservations on his podcast idea. He swore he genuinely loved the idea of the merger, and he hoped Devon came around. He loved her, and he hoped this worked out exactly the way she envisioned it.

Later, Lily was at Devon’s. The baby had been crying for 20 minutes, and Devon wasn’t able to figure out the problem. Devon wondered if Dom was teething, or if this was a serious issue, related to his recovery. Lily suggested he just call the doctor, so he did. Dr. Alston thought Dom’s fussiness was a sign that he was feeling more energetic. The call ended with Devon’s relief. Lily was proud of Devon for how calm he’d stayed. He asked what brought her by. She said she just came to see Dom, but she lit up when he said he was thinking of discussing the merger. He laughed and said he knew she came by to talk about work. Lily promised Devon she wasn’t going to push it. He didn’t mind her bringing it up. He said Amanda laid out scenarios where they could bring the companies together without having to surrender control over what mattered to them. Lily thought they could work something out. Devon wasn’t so sure, but he wasn’t against it. Right now he thought they should focus on the podcast and see how that went first. She accepted that. He said he napped while Dom did earlier, and he dreamed Neil was there smiling at him. He couldn’t help feeling like it was a sign Neil approved of Lily’s idea. Lily said they could take their time, so Devon would be comfortable.

At the Abbott house, Traci called Jack, and he didn’t answer, so she called Phyllis. Phyllis said Jack was in his hotel room after a long day. Traci asked for an update. Phyllis told her about the letters from Keemo to Jack. Traci was glad Keemo’s last letter to Jack was kind. It was heartbreaking to Traci that Jack found out his son was in the US the entire time, but he never reached out to any of the Abbotts. She almost wished whoever sent the messages had left well enough alone. Phyllis said she wasn’t going to push Jack to investigate, even though someone obviously wanted him to find that box of keepsakes. Traci was glad Jack had someone with him who knew him as well as Phyllis did. Traci was curious about the other contents of the box. Phyllis said there was a scarf, postcards, a necklace Jack gave to Luan, then to Keemo after she died, and the proof of paternity Jack gave Keemo. Traci couldn’t imagine the memories this was bringing up for Jack.

Traci was delighted when Billy dropped by – she felt lucky that she got two visits from her favorite younger brother. Noting that he was her only younger brother, Billy said he was the lucky one. He asked if she talked to Jack. Traci assumed Jack turned his phone off so he could process things. She told him about her conversation with Phyllis. Billy thought it was strange that Jack found letters Keemo was writing letters to Jack without sending them. Billy thought he or Traci should’ve gone with Jack and not Phyllis, the queen of hidden agendas. Traci said Phyllis had been protective of Jack. Billy conceded that Phyllis might have Jack’s best interests at heart this time, but he expected trouble would be ahead. Later, Billy and Traci had hot chocolate. He told her how he’d been waking up every night around 2:45 AM every night and recording his thoughts. The theme was about turning your life around. Traci was supportive, and she thought Billy should write a book. He told her he was trying to record a podcast, and his first session went terribly. She suggested meditation as a way to get in touch with his thoughts, but he said he wasn’t comfortable sitting still. She thought it was what he needed though. He said she was right, as always.

Traci asked how things were going at Chancellor. She imagined the pressure was a nightmare. He said Lily was fantastic in the role, and he was proud of her. He told her that Lily came up with an idea that was genius. Traci thought that would be great for Lily and Billy, but she reconsidered her assumption after she saw that he didn’t look enthusiastic about it. He wasn’t sure this would be good for him, but he said it would be good for Lily, and that was what was important. He said he and Lily hadn’t discussed his involvement in the deal, and they didn’t need to. His job was to advise her in what was best for the company, not what was best for him personally. Traci saw that Billy was framing this as if he was just Lily’s colleague. She asked what about the personal relationship. He said that was all moot if the plan didn’t work out. Traci didn’t think it would be fair if Lily didn’t find out about Billy’s concerns until after the deal went through. She thought he should talk to Lily about this sooner than later, and trust that Lily would want to know the truth.

When Lily got home, Billy was there. He told her about the letters from Keemo. Keemo forgave Jack, but it was too late for them to reconnect. Billy said it was so typical – his nephew held a grudge for decades, and where did it get him? Lily saw that Billy was reading about meditation, and he explained that Traci said it was helpful for connecting to your inner voice. She told him about her conversation with Devon. She was glad Devon was realizing Neil would love the idea. Billy felt guilty because he wasn’t totally honest with Lily at the restaurant. As a COO, he loved the idea of the merger, but he had personal reservations. He was embarrassed to say this out loud, but he wondered where he’d fit in to the merged company. He knew Devon would bring his own people in, and Lily might not even need a COO. Lily thought Billy’s concern was valid. She said no matter what happened with Chancellor, he’d always be the person she depended on the most – he was her right hand man. He appreciated her answer, and she kissed him.

Contrary to what Phyllis thought, Jack was not in his room. He was at Keemo’s house. Jack wished he could have one more day with Keemo, one more hour, to set things right. He wondered if Keemo would’ve reached out if he’d had more time. Jack understood that Keemo had been afraid that his rage would flare up if he contacted Jack. “I would never have let that happen,” Jack said. It would’ve brought Jack so much joy to have Keemo back in his life. He wished he could’ve introduced Keemo to his brother, Kyle. He would’ve done anything to heal the rift, if only Keemo had given him a clue that he was open to it. Jack thought the part that hurt the most was that he came so close to reconnecting with his son.

Jack picked up the picture again. He recognized Keemo and his half sister, but who were the other two people? He wondered why the person who left the box put the picture inside – was it to drive home how little he knew about his own son? He knew Keemo let go of his rage. He wondered if there was someone in Keemo’s life who was angry on his behalf. Jack dismissed the idea that the mystery person was lashing out at him. He believed that this box was meant to be a gift to him. He supposed he had to accept that the mystery person had to stay anonymous. He said it was enough to know that Keemo stopped despising him and that Keemo had considered reaching out to him. Jack wiped away tears. He didn’t think he’d get any more information, so this would have to be enough.

Jack turned his phone back on and saw the worried texts from his family. He was about to put their mind at ease when he heard something outside. He went out to the porch and looked around. He didn’t see anything, and he was on his way back inside when a car pulled into the driveway. It was Phyllis. He asked if she saw someone running away on foot when she pulled in. she didn’t notice anything, but she’d been talking to the person who drove her here. He said she didn’t have to come. She came because she realized he wasn’t at the hotel, and his phone wasn’t on. He was sorry, and she said he didn’t have to apologize. She was going to go back to the hotel, so he could have his privacy, but he asked her to stay.

Phyllis suggested that Jack heard coyotes. He thought it might be the texter – maybe they were as curious about him as he was about them. Jack didn’t think the texter was malicious or scamming him. He wondered if someone read the letters, was touched by them and wanted Jack to see them. Phyllis said no – in that case, the person would’ve boxed this stuff up, along with the obituary and mailed it to Jack instead of having him come to California. Jack realized his theory didn’t make sense because a random person who found the letters wouldn’t have had his number. Jack texted the person asking if there was anything else for him to find.

Jack didn’t get a text back, and he thought he’d found out all there was to know. Phyllis said that if Jack really wanted to know more, she’d look into it and try to get more information, but if he didn’t want to know, it was his prerogative. He said he was beat, confused and not sure what to do next. She asked if he was happy he came. He was shocked she even asked that. He was thinking about how close he came to not even knowing anything about what happened to Keemo. He’d thought the texts were a scam, and he’d decided to ignore them, but he said she took it upon herself to investigate. He was so grateful he came and was able to read the letters from his son and make this small connection. Phyllis said that this was painful to Jack. It was, but it was better than being in the dark about what happened to Keemo. He thanked her for making this happen. She said he didn’t have to thank her, because overstepping was part of who she was. He was so grateful for who she was.

Jack wondered what Keemo’s life was like – did he host friends here, or was he alone and lonely? Keemo was one short plane ride away from an extended family, and Jack didn’t have a clue. He cried about how he didn’t know a thing about Keemo’s life, and now he never would. “My own son,” he kept saying, and Phyllis hugged him.

Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Clyde is in his jail cell, reading “The Devil Wears Prada”. Orpheus appears outside his cell and makes jokes about him reading. Clyde praises the book. Orpheus then remarks that he’ll take a look when he’s done, unless Clyde’s new cellmate has first dibs.

Belle visits EJ at the prison and asks how he’s holding up. EJ says as well as could be expected considering his surroundings. EJ hopes she has an update on his case to uplift his spirits. EJ asks if she’s made progress with his appeal. Belle confirms that she has.

Ben tries putting together a baby swing at home. Ciara joins him and says she can’t believe he let her sleep in so late. Ben points out that she was tossing and turning all night and asks if she had a bad dream. Ciara says she just couldn’t stop thinking about their conversation about Johnny possibly being possessed by the Devil.

After Jake grabbed Johnny, Johnny turns in to the Devil and grabs Jake. Jake questions what’s going on as the Devil tells him that he’s not Johnny DiMera. Jake doesn’t understand. The Devil asks Jake if he’s ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight.

Chad tells Gabi to stop playing around and get her feet off his desk. Gabi responds that it’s her desk and office so she’ll put her feet where ever she wants. Chad tells her to get out and not try this again with his security. Gabi reveals that she is the new CEO of DiMera which Chad laughs at. Gabi tells him to call Mr. Shin since he will back up every word she said. Chad realizes that she’s serious. Gabi confirms that she’s now in charge of this company. Chad questions how in the hell she pulled that off.

Jake continues to question what this is. The Devil warns that he may put his hands on Johnny but he does not manhandle the all mighty.

Gabi tells Chad that he took his eye off the ball while she was here, seizing the professional moment. Chad comments on Abigail being fine and Gabi not asking. Gabi informs Chad that she used his glaring absence to hold an emergency shareholders meeting which resulted in her getting the top position and Johnny being elected to the board. Chad questions his little nephew being on the board. Gabi explains that Johnny has significant control of DiMera. Chad argues that Mr. Shin cannot be okay with this but Gabi reveals that he was the deciding vote. Chad can’t believe this is happening. Chad asks what Jake’s new position is. Gabi responds that Jake got his ass handed to him.

The Devil asks if Jake thought the Devil was gone and remarks that only losers believe in miracles. Jake realizes the Devil has been here in Johnny for months. The Devil remarks that Jake nor Gabi are as smart as they think and it was so easy to convince Gabi to betray Jake. The Devil confirms that he’s the reason that Gabi thought Jake was going to screw her over. The Devil says Gabi already had doubts so he just used a few tricks to have her in his clutches. The Devil declares that he will now get Gabi in to his bed.

Ciara tells Ben that part of her still thinks it’s crazy that the Devil jumped out of Marlena in to Johnny. Ben feels they still need to check it out to make sure there’s not danger for the baby. Ciara brings up Susan not calling him back. Ben says he can try again but Susan then shows up at their door. Susan says she got Ben’s message and as soon as she heard his voice, she had a premonition and hopped on the first bus to Salem. Susan guesses that he was calling about her son, EJ.

Belle informs EJ that she tracked down the henchman who held Sami captive and falsely testified that EJ put him up to it, Jason Smith. EJ asks how she found him. Belle admits it wasn’t easy as he basically went off the grid after implicating EJ. Belle wanted him to admit it so she tried to trick him in to telling her who really did it but she had no luck as he’s sticking to his story. EJ guesses they are back to square one. Belle says there are other avenues they could explore.

Clyde tells Orpheus that it’s funny how life works with his new cellmate being his old pal EJ DiMera. Orpheus points out that they were business associates and ran a drug operation. Clyde questions where he came up with that. Orpheus says he makes it a point to stay in the know. Clyde argues that he doesn’t know anything about him. Orpheus argues that he knows a great deal about Clyde, including that his relationship with EJ went south. Orpheus asks if that’s why Clyde killed EJ.

Belle tells EJ that she’s been working with the Wisconsin police to try to find the other guy, Pete, who was guarding Sami to see if he would contradict Jason’s story but finding him has been a challenge. EJ guesses that avenue is closed. Belle encourages they can try insufficient evidence. EJ talks about regretting taking the stand. Belle brings up Jason, Lucas, Chad, and Sami but says there’s so much room for reasonable doubt. EJ suggests focusing on overturning the judge’s ruling but Belle says the odds of success there are slim since EJ didn’t want a jury trial. EJ recalls Belle telling him to shut up, sit down, and let her do her job but he disregarded her advice at every turn. EJ points out that she’s still here. Belle reminds him that she promised not to abandon him. Belle declares that she knows he’s innocent and soon, everyone else will too. EJ thanks her and tells her how appreciative he is for all her help. Belle asks him again how he’s doing in here and how things are with his cellmate, Clyde Weston.

Clyde tells Orpheus that his information is bogus since EJ is alive. Orpheus credits Dr. Rolf but brings up that night in park when EJ was shot and everyone thought he was dead. Clyde points out that he didn’t shoot him as some two bit junkie did that. Orpheus argues against that but Clyde swears he did not shoot EJ. Orpheus acknowledges that maybe Clyde didn’t pull the trigger, but he’s certainly responsible for the bullet ending up in EJ’s chest.

Ben questions Susan thinking they called about EJ. Susan says it was in her premonition and she’s been thinking about him nonstop since he got sent to prison for a crime he did not commit. Susan argues that EJ would never dream of kidnapping Sami. Ben stops her to clarify they weren’t calling about EJ. Susan asks what it’s about then. Ciara informs her that it’s Johnny. Susan asks what could possibly be wrong with him. Ben advises her to brace himself.

Jake wants to warn Gabi but Devil Johnny uses his powers to slam the door shut and questions Jake leaving so soon. Jake guesses that he’s not leaving and he’s dancing with the Devil after all as he takes a swing at him.

Chad question DiMera being in chaos because Gabi and Jake got in a fight. Gabi remarks that it doesn’t matter why it happened, just that she landed on top. Chad argues that Gabi and Jake can go at each other all they want but this is his family’s company and his children’s legacy so he won’t let them destroy it. Gabi asks what he’s going to do. Chad declares that he will call a meeting. Gabi reminds him that he needs the majority to remove her and he doesn’t have the votes. Gabi says Mr. Shin wants him out and Johnny is on the board with EJ’s votes. Chad doesn’t know why Johnny turned on him since he wanted to work with him to remove vultures like her from DiMera. Gabi says it looks like he got played by his little nephew. Chad declares that little punk won’t get away with it. They then hear a loud crash.

Devil Johnny stands over Jake, who is knocked unconscious on the conference table.

Clyde claims not to know what Orpheus is talking about and that he wasn’t even around when the shooting went down. Orpheus points out that EJ was and asks how EJ feels with cohabitating with the guy that blew him away, guessing it must make for awkward conversation. Clyde argues that even if he was there, it wouldn’t make a difference because EJ doesn’t remember a thing about that night which is a side effect of Dr. Rolf’s drug. Orpheus says he understands that in time, the memories come back. Orpheus asks what Clyde is going to do when EJ remembers that he double crossed him and left him to die.

Belle is shocked to learn that Clyde is EJ’s cellmate and asks how it’s going. EJ says so far, so good. Belle wouldn’t have thought they would hit it off. EJ reveals that they are already acquainted which Belle questions how. EJ informs her that they used to be in business together. Belle assumes the business wasn’t legit which EJ confirms. Belle suggests putting in a request for a different cellmate so his association with Clyde to jeopardize his appeal. EJ calls it ancient history and he actually thinks Clyde can be quite helpful since he’s been here a long time and he knows the place well. Belle questions thinking he can rely on Clyde. EJ admits he doesn’t trust him but if he’s going to survive, he needs someone to have his back and right now, Clyde is his only choice.

Susan questions Ben and Ciara thinking the Devil is hanging in town in Johnny and what makes them think that. Ben says there’s been strange incidents lately. Ciara explains how Julie got them a cross but her stove randomly burst in to flames and then Johnny volunteered to bring the cross to them, but it keeps flipping upside down. Ciara says Julie thinks it’s a sign that the Devil is back in town. They talk about how the Devil could jump in to someone else during the exorcism. Susan goes over their theory. Ciara brings up Susan’s original premonition that the Devil was after their baby in the first place. Ben asks if she sensed anything about Johnny. Susan recalls being at the DiMera Mansion after the exorcism and if she had any feeling that the Devil was in Johnny, she would have never left town. Ben knew it would be a long shot. Ciara apologizes for letting their imaginations run wild and says clearly they were wrong about the Devil being back in Salem, but Susan says not necessarily.

Gabi questions what the noise was. Chad says she’s the new CEO so she can figure it out as he exits the office.

Gabi returns to the conference room and questions what happened as she thought Johnny was calling security. Johnny says he didn’t have to as he thought Jake was going to leave voluntarily but he stormed back in and attacked him. Gabi checks on Jake. Johnny claims that Jake was acting like a psycho, so he had to defend himself. Gabi wakes Jake up and questions what he was thinking.

Susan informs Ben and Ciara that after the exorcism, she did have a premonition that the Devil was still in Salem but she thought it was still in Marlena so she went there to throw holy water on her but Marlena assured that was not the case. Susan thought her Devil detector didn’t work and she didn’t get any bad vibes from Johnny. Susan mentions seeing him before she left town, but the night of Johnny’s engagement party, she got sick and went to the hospital as she had this feeling that there was an evil force behind it all. Susan can’t believe that she stood right in front of Johnny and didn’t have a clue.

Jake tries to say what Johnny is but the Devil uses his powers to cause Jake to have headaches. Jake calls Johnny a creep who tricked Gabi in to stabbing him in the back. The Devil flashes back to touching Jake’s head before Gabi entered the room.

Belle sees their time is up and asks if EJ needs anything else. EJ tells her to just find a way to get him out of this hell hole. Belle says she’s on it and her next angle is Chad. EJ tells her not to waste her time because Chad called him a criminal and sociopath and said he hoped he stayed locked up forever. Belle notes that Chad was out of his mind with worry but Abigail is now safe at home. EJ is sure Chad’s state of mind is much better then but not enough to help him. Belle brings up that Chad was going to do that before he thought EJ tried to force himself on his wife. EJ assures he did not do that. Belle says whatever did or did not happen, Chad led her to believe that they would be pleased with his testimony, which means he knows something that could exonerate him. EJ questions Belle thinking she can get that out of him. Belle says she will sure try. Belle points out that Chad is the one who found the account linking EJ to kidnapping Sami, so if she can get him to admit he planted those or that he knows who did, it would go a long way to proving EJ’s innocence. EJ admires her tenacity but seriously doubts that Chad is going to volunteer any new information. Belle promises that she will get EJ out of here. EJ tells her how grateful he is to have her in his corner. Belle hopes this will all be over soon as she then exits the room.

Orpheus brings up Clyde being up for parole soon. Clyde confirms that he finally got a new hearing, so with any luck, he’ll be about to be out. Orpheus says that’s unless EJ’s memories come back or someone could present the parole board with evidence that links him to a new crime. Clyde says that would certainly throw a wrench in the works. Orpheus remarks that he’s sort of got it coming. Clyde gets that Orpheus holds a grudge against him for stabbing him, but he did that for his son. Orpheus brings up his son trying to kill Ben, so he supposes they are even. Orpheus adds that if Clyde does get parole, it could be useful to have a friend on the outside. Orpheus states that it’s in both of their best interests, that EJ never remember what Clyde did to him because if he does, they will both suffer the consequences. EJ comes back and questions what consequences are those.

Belle goes to the DiMera Mansion to see Chad, who asks what he can do for her. Belle wants to talk to him about EJ’s appeal.

Clyde tells EJ that he was just telling Orpheus about his new cellmate while Orpheus says he was just complaining about his cellmate. Clyde introduces EJ to Orpheus. Orpheus remarks that he’s glad to see them getting along as he then exits.

Susan can’t believe the Devil has possessed her grandson. Ciara points out that they don’t know that for sure. Susan wories that if Johnny is going toe to toe with the Devil, he’s going to need her help so she has to get there right away. Ben wants to go with her but Susan is afraid that might tip the Devil off. Susan declares that if the Devil is in the DiMera Mansion, she will be the one to find out. Susan then exits.

Gabi questions Jake about what happened in here. Jake says it’s a little fuzzy. Gabi brings up Johnny saying Jake attacked him. Jake says that’s a lie just like everything else he’s told her. Jake tells Gabi that Johnny is playing her and got her to believe he did all of this stuff that he didn’t do. Gabi brings up hearing “Jake” tell Maggie that he didn’t care if she didn’t get the top spot of Titan and that he was just using her. Jake says he never said that and calls it impossible. Gabi asks how he explains the signature to take Stefan’s shares. Jake says he can’t explain it yet but he knows Johnny was behind it. Johnny asks if they really have to listen to this again. Jake says he and Gabi are talking. Johnny remarks that Gabi is clearly not interested in what he has to say. Gabi asks Johnny to let her and Jake speak. Johnny asks if she’s sure she will be okay. Gabi says she’ll be fine, so Johnny then exits the room. Jake asks if Gabi is happy now that she got everything she wants and is CEO of DiMera. Gabi says that’s right. Jake says she obviously doesn’t need him anymore and guesses they break up now and that’s it. Gabi tells him not to pretend because it’s his fault. Jake asks if he can get his stuff from the house. Gabi suggests he get checked out but Jake says he’s fine, so Gabi says adios. Jake tells Gabi that he loves her but he doesn’t understand why she’s doing this. Gabi tells Jake that he can go get his stuff now. Jake brings up how they were on top of the world two weeks ago with their whole future ahead of them, but now, he doesn’t know how this could have happened. Jake then exits the room.

Clyde asks EJ how it went with his lawyer. EJ says she unfortunately had nothing new to report. Clyde encourages that good things come to those who wait. EJ admits that patience was never his strong suit. Clyde points out that they have a roof over their head and advises EJ to enjoy this nice, cushy life style. EJ questions what he just said. Clyde repeats for him to enjoy this nice, cushy life style which causes EJ to flash back to Clyde saying that the night that EJ was shot. Clyde asks if he’s alright. EJ responds that he was just thinking.

Chad questions Belle coming over to talk to EJ. Belle asks what he thought she came for. Chad assumed since Belle is the company’s general counsel that she heard the news that the scheming bitch ousted him from DiMera.

Gabi sits at her desk, thinking back to her original planning with Jake.

Ben continues working on the baby swing. Ciara decides she’s going to the hospital to pick up prenatal vitamins. Ben wants to go with her but Ciara tells him to stay and finish the swing. Ciara wishes him luck and leaves right as Jake arrives. Ben comments that Jake doesn’t look good. Jake says that’s no surprise after the day he had. Ben asks him what happened. Jake reveals that Gabi double-crossed him and left herself as head of DiMera and him out in the cold. Ben questions what the hell happened. Jake says he’s still trying to figure that out but he knows that snake Johnny DiMera got in Gabi’s head that he had betrayed her but he doesn’t know how he did it. Ben responds that he can think of one possibility.

Devil Johnny lays in bed until Susan shows up. Johnny asks what she’s doing here. Susan responds that she’s here to see if he really is her grandson.

Update written by Kathleen
Proofread by Suzanne

Trina comes into the classroom where Joss, Cam and Esme are talking. She asks what going on. They tell her about the video playing in the class. She says sincerely that she is so sorry. Esme responds, “are you, though?”

At Spring Ridge, Harmony is working with Ryan. Kevin walks up. Harmony says she knows he is Dr. Collins, Ryan’s brother. However, she doesn’t think she’s seen him visit before. He tells her he tries to limit contact with his brother. He asks her what her assessment is of Ryan’s condition. She lets him know that Ryan only communicates by blinking.

Britt is sitting in a room when Maxie brings in Bailey Lu. Brittremarks that it’s about time she meet her niece. Maxie asks if she will forgive her for keeping the secret.

At Sam’s house, Sam, Laura, and Drew are talking about how they could deal with Victor. They agree that the fewer people who know their plans, the better.  Dante knocks at the door. He sees she has company and asks if he should come back.

On Spoon Island, Victor tells Ava that Spencer is struggling and that she and Nik are making it worse.

Back at the prison, Harmony tells Kevin that Ryan can communicate pretty well with her using a letter board.  However, it’s not so easy with other staff members. Nik walks in and tells the guard that he wants to see Spencer. He knows that his Uncle Victor hired him to look out for Spencer, but he insists on seeing his son. The guard wonders if Spencer will want to see him. Just then, Spencer enters the room.

Britt tells Maxie there is nothing to forgive. She understands and is proud of what Maxie did.

At Sam’s, Laura invites Dante in on the plan. She must leave to meet Kevin. She tells them to not make a move without letting her know.

Victor tells Ava that Spencer was upset about not being able to visit his mother’s grave. He tells Ava it’s her fault because she pressed charges. He tells her she and Nik should rethink their vow renewal.

Spencer agrees to talk to Nik.

Esme continues to accuse Trina of being responsible for the video. Trina tells Joss and Cam they were set up.

Brittt tells Maxie that her mom is sure that Victor helped Peter with his misdeeds. Maxie tells her that right now she just wants to spend time with her kids. James and Georgie are in love, Maxie informs her with a smile. Britt can tell Maxie is, too. She means with Bailey, but Maxie thinks she means someone else.

Laura and Kevin meet at the Metro Court. Kevin tells her that Ryan refuses to communicate with him. It bothers him that he doesn’t know why.

Spencer tells Nik that Victor has urged him to give his dad a chance. Nik reminds Spencer that he is there because it is the anniversary of his mom’s death. Spencer tells Nik that he lost him twice, but Nik counters that he is the one who lost Spencer.

Ava snaps at Victor that their vow renewal is none of his business. Victor replies that she and Nik are so involved with each other that it’s hurting Spencer. She says that Spencer needs to be more concerned about his own love life than theirs.

Joss and Trina remind Esme of all the things she has done. Cam wants the discussion to stop. Trina remarks that she’ll defend herself.

Maxie tells Britt that she and Austin are trying things out. Britt agrees that it’s good to take things slow after all she has been through. Maxie asks if she’s seeing anybody. Britt says no because she’s too busy with work. Maxie doubts that’s the real reason.

Esme snarks that she didn’t know Trina had so many issues and was so dysfunctional. Trina calls Esme a “conniving bitch.”

Nik tells his son that he loves him and that he’s sorry for failing him. Spencer asks about Ava — where does she fit into their relationship?

Victor tells Ava that he’s only concerned about family unity. He suggests they include Spencer in the vow renewal.

Drew tells Dante that Victor tried to activate him and wants access to his memories. He says those memories can’t be accessed. They are going to fool Victor into thinking it is still possible so that they can find out what his objective is.

Cam lashes out at Esme, saying that she is toxic and needs to leave. She hopes one day they realize who their real friends are. Cam and Joss still can’t figure out how she videotaped them. Joss wishes that night had never happened. Cam looks surprised and hurt.

Maxie asks Britt when she last went on a date. She makes lots of excuses and tells Maxie that she sounds just like her mother. Maxie asks if she has ever considered a matchmaking service.

Laura tells Kevin that she and the others are working on a plan to trap Victor. She says they may not be able to put him in jail, but maybe they can at least get him out of Port Charles.

Ava informs Victor archly that she and Nik will make a decision about the vow renewal together. He replies that Cassadines can be their own worst enemies and that he wants to change that. She flashes back to her conversation with Laura about gaining Victor’s trust. He tells Ava that he has big plans but needs her help.

Harmony is discussing the plot of Wuthering Heights with Ryan as he stares at Spencer and Ryan talking across the room. Nik asks Spencer if they can start fresh. Spencer agrees because that’s what his mom would have wanted. Esme comes into the room and walks up to them. Nik says he will visit again next week and suggests that when Spencer is out of Spring Ridge, they can properly celebrate his birthday. Spencer asks Esme to forgive him for the way he acted about her parents. She assures him that it’s okay. Her grief his nothing compared to his, she tells him kindly. He also tells her that he knows she is sensitive about Trina, so he won’t bring her up again. Esme says she is not sensitive – she is just wise to Trina’s games.

When Nik comes home, Ava and Victor tell him they want to invite the whole family to the vow renewal. Victor offers to speak to Spencer. Nik tells him that he doesn’t mind him getting close to Spencer — as long as he doesn’t have an ulterior motive.

Drew, Dante, and Sam decide that they should plant the tarot card in Peter’s things (which Bailey will get), so that Victor can find it.

Laura tells Kevin that she wants to go to Austria with Anna to look into Luke’s death.

Spencer and Esme argue about his friendship with Trina. She tells him about the video tape. She thinks that Trina must be to blame. He speaks up for Trina, saying that she wouldn’t do something like that. Esme gets angry and leaves.

Joss realizes Cam took her statement the wrong way, so she assures him that she didn’t mean that she wishes the whole night hadn’t happened. Trina’s phone goes off. She says that someone sent her a link to an X-rated website. Joss is worried that they have gone viral.

Laura says that she wants to go to Austria because she still feels a loyalty to Luke. Kevin says he understands; he’s just worried about her safety. However, she changes her mind, saying she’s not going to go because she is needed for too many reasons in Port Charles.

Victor tells Nik that he just wants to reunite the family. Nik and Ava give each other a doubtful look.

Dante finds out that someone other than Maxie is the executor of Peter’s estate.

Britt receives a letter and a box. She tells Maxie it is “what is left of Peter.”

Trina tells Joss that she is there for her. Then she receives a text from Spencer, asking if she is okay.

Esme goes backs to the prison to see Spencer. When he has to leave the room, she walks over to Ryan. She asks if he needs anything. He looks at her and says, “What the Hell are you doing?” Esme looks very scared.

At Newman Locke, Ashland told Victoria that he’d just gotten off the phone with her father. Victoria wanted to know exactly what Victor said. Ashland didn’t want to upset her, but she said it was too late. He said that Victor threatened to expose Ashland’s crimes to Victoria unless Ashland capitulated. Victoria thought Victor’s actions were unacceptable. Ashland wondered how many times Victoria’s family would claim to have uncovered something about his past that made him unworthy of her. Not to mention the implication that she was a weak-willed victim who’d fallen prey to a monster. Victoria agreed with all that, but she wondered why Victor would be trying to squeeze Ashland out, and why Victor would tell this messy and obvious lie. She thought there had to be something more going on.

Victoria guessed Victor’s happiness at the wedding was a farce. Ashland suggested that Victor was happy at the wedding because he thought Ashland would die soon. Or, Victor pretended to be happy at the wedding because he wanted the merger to happen, so he could take control of Locke Communications and force Ashland out. Victoria realized Ashland was theorizing that Victor was the one behind the claims that Ashland faked his cancer. Victoria didn’t think Victor was framing Ashland. She didn’t think her dad would stoop that low or hurt her. Ashland said he was just trying to think of alternatives. Victoria understood why Ashland’s mind would go there, and she could also see why Victor bought into this insanity so quickly, but she didn’t think Victor was the one who made it look like Ashland was faking his illness. Victoria couldn’t picture Victor creating this wide-range conspiracy; that was too dark, even for Victor. Ashland apologized for suggesting it. Victoria wasn’t mad at him. She was angry with Victor for trying to use this lie to push Ashland out of her life. Ashland held Victoria and said he was sorry Victor was putting her through this. She said to feel sorry for Victor, because she was going to fight him with everything she had. “He has no idea what I’m capable of. But I am not gonna let him get away with this,” she said.

At Newman Media, Victor said to himself that Ashland just made a big mistake. “No one threatens me. No one threatens my family and gets away with it.”

Nate and Nick met at Society, at Nick’s request. Nate asked if this was about Faith or Victor’s health. Nick said his father and daughter were doing fine. Nick noted things were going well for everyone health-wise – Sharon was in remission, and Ashland had a miraculous recovery. Nick asked if Nate had ever seen anything like it. Nate admitted that Ashland’s amazing turnaround was rare. Nate wanted a deeper look into the protocol.

Nick thought Nate was a great friend of the family, even though they sometimes didn’t deserve it. Nick didn’t like leaning on that friendship, but he didn’t have a choice. Nick swore Nate to secrecy, then he said it had been suggested that Ashland’s recovery was too good to be true. Nate said sometimes science could seem like a miracle. Nick explained that there were indications that Ashland never had cancer. Nate knew Ashland pretty well, and he found it hard to believe Ashland would do something like this. He asked if the person spreading this rumor even knew Ashland. At that point, Victor arrived and joined the discussion. Nate knew some of the doctors Ashland worked with, by reputation, and they were excellent doctors who witnessed Ashland’s condition firsthand. Victor said Ashland deceived the Newmans, Victoria and Nate. Nate just couldn’t believe this without irrefutable evidence The trio went to Newman Media, where Victor let Nate watch the interview from the Peruvian doctors who said they were paid to pretend to treat Ashland. Nate asked if Victor took the video to the police or if he was sure the people on video were even doctors. He asked what decent doctor would pretend to treat a patient. Nate asked what about the doctor in NY, or the lab that ran the tests and diagnosed Ashland with cancer. Victor tried to get information from them, but he’d been stonewalled. Nate said that was called medical confidentiality. Nate asked if Victor even knew where the money came from to pay off the Peruvian doctors. He said someone could’ve framed Ashland by making it look like the money was from him. He thought Victor and Nick were falling for a scam. Victor said there was more evidence about Ashland on the way – he was a dangerous fraud. Victor wanted Nate to help them protect Victoria.

Nick understood Nate’s position, and he conceded that they didn’t have all the pieces of the puzzle, but he said there was enough evidence to seriously question Ashland’s condition. Nate had seen Ashland experiencing symptoms, and they were friends. Victor knew this was a shock, and he knew that feeling deceived was a hard pill to swallow, but he said to think about Victoria. Nate asked why Ashland would do such a thing. Victor said Ashland wanted Newman Enterprises.

Victor said that if Nate took a look into Ashland’s past, he’d see why it was easy for Ashland to convince Victoria to fall in love with him and convince her to merge the companies. Victor was sure Nate wondered why Ashland suddenly befriended him. “He needed your medical expertise to substantiate his BS about his medical history,” Victor said. Nate resented the implication that he’d been used. Victor asked if Nate read the ChancComm article – Ashland faked his own death and assumed the identity of the real Ashland Locke. Nick said Victoria knew everything in that article was true, but she was under Ashland’s spell, and she bought his excuses. Nick said that they had to gather proof and make sure Ashland didn’t do any more damage to Victoria or the family, and they needed Nate’s help to do that. Nate asked if there was incontrovertible evidence that Ashland lied about his condition. Victor had damning evidence, but it wasn’t enough to make Ashland come clean. Nick said they needed Nate’s help as a medical expert. Victoria burst in. “You have finally crossed the line. There is no coming back from this!,” she yelled.

Chance came downstairs. He’d taken a nap after his first therapy session. Abby knew it was a draining experience and asked if she could help. He assured her he wasn’t shutting her out, but he needed some time to figure this out on his own. He said they could talk about it later. Chance had wanted to take Abby to dinner, and he was sorry it didn’t look like that would happen. She didn’t care about going out. She was just grateful he was going to therapy. She’d never understand what it was like for him in Spain, but she was grateful he was facing his trauma and fighting for himself and Dominic. They kissed, and she began to unbutton his shirt.

Later, they held each other, and Chance said Abby had no idea what this did for him. Abby felt the same way. She said they’d have a lifetime of experiences, and they’d watch their son grow up. He told her they had a lot to be thankful for, then he suddenly said he was hungry, so he’d make them a snack. When he returned, he said it wasn’t easy to talk to Dr. Huffman, but he thought it helped. The doctor saw three tours overseas. Abby thought that was one of the reasons Sharon recommended him. Chance said Dr. Huffman understood a lot of what Chance was going through. Chance said that when people said what happened in Spain wasn’t his fault, he didn’t believe it, though he tried to. He felt that if he tried to move past it, it would be another betrayal of his team. He thought his team deserved to be remembered. Abby silently wept as she listened. He didn’t understand why he felt like he had to hold onto all this guilt. He knew he needed help. He said the pain had been a wall between him and Abby, and he couldn’t let that happen. She knew how hard it was for him to talk about this stuff and open up. She thanked him for sharing it with her. She wanted to be his safe place. He said she was. “I am determined not to fail this mission,” he assured her.

Faith was hanging out at Mariah and Tessa’s place. She asked how they knew they were in love. Mariah didn’t think there was a moment to pinpoint. She thought they both knew before they could admit to to each other. Tessa said that being in love was great, but it could be really scary. Faith shifted gears and asked how many guests they’d have at the wedding. They were keeping it small, so they could spend time with each guest. Faith asked if Mariah and Tessa were worried that their relationship wouldn’t survive the separation when Tessa was on tour. Mariah said it was very hard when Tessa went on the road, but it was also not an excuse to behave badly. Mortified, Faith said she didn’t mean to bring up any bad memories. Tessa said it was okay – being a couple meant that you sometimes worked through things when you made mistakes. Mariah said when she lost her way, Tessa was understanding, compassionate and forgiving. Tessa said Mariah had done the same for her. Mariah said it wasn’t always easy or fun to be in a relationship, but it shouldn’t be agonizingly hard either. Tessa said that you found out what worked and what didn’t, so you could make things last forever. Faith didn’t know what forever looked like, except from her grandparents’ example. Her grandparents had been together a long time, but even they’d had breakups. Her parents once loved each other, but now Sharon was with the awesome Rey, and Nick wasn’t with anyone. It made Faith wonder if soulmates were really a thing, and if they weren’t, why risk ending up with a broken heart.

Mariah wasn’t sure she and Tessa had answers on the risks of falling in love. Tessa added that she and Mariah felt like soulmates because they couldn’t imagine being apart. Tessa conceded that it was risky to put your heart out there, because it could end in ruin. Mariah added that things might work out too, but you wouldn’t know until you took the chance. Mariah asked if this was about Faith and Moses. According to Faith, things were really good with Moses, like life made more sense when he was around. But she knew things could change when they went to college, even though she didn’t want it to. Mariah said when you found the one, it could be reassuring, but sometimes things didn’t work out. Tessa said letting yourself fall in love required bravery and trust.

Noah showed up at Crimson Lights with a beautiful woman his age hanging all over him. He introduced Sharon to Cindy and explained that they were there to get some espresso before heading to the club. Cindy had already heard a lot about Sharon. She showered Sharon, Noah and Crimson Lights with compliments. It became apparent that Cindy didn’t actually know Noah well, because she called him Noel. Sharon asked about Cindy. She had a day job, but social media was her passion. Sharon asked if this was the woman Noah knew from his old days at Walnut Grove. Cindy wished she’d known him back then, but they just met today. Cindy said she and Noah had a meet-cute when they collided on the street while each was texting on their phone. Their phones went flying, and her screen broke, and he fell. They ended up going into a nearby cafe together and having a meal. She called him Noel again. He corrected her, and she acted like she’d been calling him the right name all along. Faith came in and met Cindy. Cindy joked that she was meeting Noah’s whole family on the first date.

Back upstairs, Mariah commented about her little sister pondering love and forever. Tessa said that wasn’t on her mind when she was that age. Mariah knew Tessa didn’t have it easy when she was a teen. Tessa said she’d been dealing with the chaos of her sister and parents. She noted that Mariah didn’t have it easy either. Mariah said she’d been too busy sleeping on friends’ couches and avoiding going home to the woman who raised her. They noted that Faith didn’t have it easy either, given all she’d dealt with. Mariah was glad that Faith got to focus on normal teenage stuff now. Mariah was touched by what Tessa said about their relationship. Mariah knew she put their relationship to the test the last few months. Mariah said Tessa didn’t have to be strong for both of them anymore. Mariah was back on her A game. Mariah admitted she’d been scared about Dom being sick, and it made her wonder what would happen if their future child got sick, if they even got to be parents. Mariah said her talent was worrying about things that hadn’t happened. Tessa said the world was scary, and that was why she was glad to have a partner to help her through it. She was glad to return the favor. They hugged.

Faith and Sharon went to the patio and talked about Cindy. Sharon thought Cindy seemed fun, and she said Noah seemed to be meeting a lot of new people in town. Faith thought it would be nice if Noah found someone. She said maybe seeing Mariah and Tessa happy put the idea of settling down into Noah’s head. Noah walked out and said no one was looking to settle down. Noah thought Sharon and Faith needed something more exciting to talk about. Faith said Noah didn’t have to settle down with Cindy – love could be scary, but you had to be brave. Faith said she was going to go vet Cindy, and she went inside. Noah had a feeling what Sharon was thinking. He conceded that he’d been with the woman from Walnut Grove the other day, and now Cindy tonight, but he was young, and he was supposed to go out and have fun. He asked her not to make this weird or find a reason to worry about him.

Inside Crimson Lights, Faith thought it was interesting that Cindy was a social media influencer. Tessa walked in, and Cindy was starstruck. She knew every lyric and she’d been to almost all Tessa’s concerts in the area. Tessa thought she’d seen Cindy at some of the shows. Cindy was sure Tessa was just humoring her. Tessa said that Cindy had a friendly smile, and she was usually drawn to people like that when she was performing. Cindy squealed in delight. Noah and Sharon returned. Cindy wrapped her arm around Noah again and told him that this was turning into one of the best dates of her life. Cindy said she and Noah were going to the club on market street, and she invited Tessa and her fiancee to come along. Noah was sure they had plans.

Cindy asked Noah if he was having as good a time as she was. Before he could fully say he was, Cindy screamed because “the other half of Teriah” arrived. Cindy couldn’t believe this was happening. Noah said Mariah was his sister. Cindy read online about Mariah getting on stage and professing her love for Tessa. “I died!,” she exclaimed. Cindy asked Noah to get her another espresso. Cindy wanted Mariah to tell her all about her relationship with Tessa.

Tessa told Noah that Cindy seemed cool. He said he forgot what he was missing being by himself so much. He told her that, like Faith said, Tessa and Mariah were couple-goals. He was trying to have some fun, and he’d leave the true love to the experts.

Gwen pleads with Ava not to turn he rin to the police, arguing that they are in this together. Ava says she helped her out but this mess is all Gwen’s and she got dragged down to the station. Ava adds that this was all for nothing since if Chad brought Abigail back from that island, then Sarah can’t be far behind..

Sarah walks through the town square and sits at the bench, looking at the Tom and Alice plaque. Sarah brings up that people keep saying she is their granddaughter Sarah, but she is not. She’s Renee DuMonde and she’s here to take her life back and finally be with the man she loves. Xander then comes out from the Salem Inn and is shocked to see Sarah.

Kate finds Mr. Shin at the DiMera Enterprises office. Mr. Shin informs her that Gabi, Jake, and Johnny called a shareholders meeting for this morning. Kate notes that they didnt’ tell her and planned it for a time when Tony and Chad aren’t in town and EJ is in prison, so she thinks they are going to make a play. Kate declares that whatever it is, they’re not going to get away with it.

Gabi gets dressed for the meeting while Jake wants her to get back in bed. Gabi says they can’t have any distractions as everything is riding on today. Jake agrees to get dressed, but says tonight they are celebrating. Jake goes to get ready while Gabi remarks to herself that she will be celebrating, getting rid of his lying, double-crossing ass.

Devil Johnny gets ready for the meeting and says it’s time for all hell to break loose at DiMera. Johnny tries to fight off The Devil from inside. The Devil calls Johnny his puppet and tells him to go away as he has work to do. Johnny refuses to let the Devil hurt any more people he loves. Devil Johnny then drops to his knees in pain. The Devil warns him about what happens if he fights him. Johnny says Marlena kicked him out, so he will too. The Devil argues that Marlena and John drove him out with love but he’s not worried about Johnny because he only loves himself enough. Johnny calls that not true. The Devil tells Johnny to go away. He then gets a call from Gabi, who asks if everything is okay. Johnny asks if they are all ready for today. Gabi says she’s more than ready and assures that Jake doesn’t suspect a thing. Johnny tells her to keep it that way because they need his vote. Gabi declares that Jake is going to get what he deserves and she can’t wait to witness it.

Xander tells Sarah that Jack told him everything. Sarah responds that it can’t be him. Xander tells Sarah what a relief it is to see her again as after all this time, he believed that she threw him over on his wedding day and jumped in bed with Rex, but it was never her. Xander is terribly sorry for all she went through in getting kidnapped by Kristen and trapped on an island all this time. Sarah accuses him of being part of the scheme to try to make her think she’s Sarah Horton. Sarah tells Xander to get away from her and stop calling her Sarah. Xander asks if she doesn’t know who he is. Sarah responds that she knows exactly who he is. Sarah questions Xander thinking anyone could forget who he is. Sarah calls him a despicably, lying son of a bitch and says she knows him as Alex and she wants a divorce. Sarah says she fell for his act and was foolish enough to marry him which was the worst mistake she ever made. Xander asks if this is some kind of joke as he doesn’t understand. Sarah tells him that she is Renee DuMonde and she intends to marry the love of her life, Tony DiMera, as soon as he divorces Anna. Sarah says she is going to speak to her lawyer, Don Craig. Sarah tells him not to call her Sarah as she walks off. Xander pulls out his phone and calls Jack, asking him to finish the story he was going to tell him.

Ava tells Gwen that Abigail is back and she knows everything. Gwen points out that there is no case against Ava and they haven’t filed charges, so turning her in will only hurt her. Ava worries that she can be charged as an accessory. Gwen argues that they have no proof. Gwen encourages that Ava has beaten murder charges, so she asks if she’s really afraid of this. Ava responds that she’s tried to build a different life for herself, so she’s not throwing it away or going to prison. Ava adds that Rafe is not on her side anymore. Gwen says she still has her back, as long as Ava has hers.

Kate asks Mr. Shin how many people they are expecting. Mr. Shin goes over EJ being in prison while Tony and Chad took the corporate jet on personal business. Kate argues that Abigail was kidnapped. Mr. Shin says it seems there is always a crisis in the DiMera family. Kate says that Chad and Tony are on their way back, so they can postpone but Shin says he has a flight to Hong Kong at noon, so he can’t push this back. Kate asks why they called this meeting but Mr. Shin says he’s not at liberty to discuss.

Johnny tells Gabi that Jake will never know what him. Gabi quickly finishes and hangs up as Jake comes back in the room. Jake asks what that was about. Gabi says she was just going over plans with Johnny. Jake reveals that he heard her say that he’s going to get what he deserves. Gabi claims that by the end of the day, Jake will be CEO of DiMera Enterprises.

Tony enters the living room of the DiMera Mansion, surprising Johnny who thought that he was out of town. Tony reveals that they found Abigail and got back to town. Tony wants to speak to Johnny about the house but Johnny says he’s in a hurry. Tony guesses he’s having a meeting with his producer which Johnny goes along with. Tony asks how the movie is going. Johnny says it’s great and he’s already working on the sequel. Johnny then hurries out of the mansion.

Kate asks Mr. Shin what’s going on with Gabi and Jake. Mr. Shin says he has not been briefed about the meeting. Gabi and Jake arrive, so Kate questions why she was not told about the meeting. Gabi brings up Kate ousting Jake from the company and not wanting to see her. Jake says they will get started when Johnny arrives. Kate suggests Chad and Tony could join them remotely but Johnny arrives and claims that Tony and Chad have been delayed due to weather. Mr. Shin adds that he can’t postpone the meeting. Gabi says they don’t want to. Johnny assures they can do the meeting without the rest of his family. Johnny says to get the show on the road.

Chad returns home to the DiMera Mansion and tells Tony that Abigail is relieved to be home. Chad mentions that they are both very grateful for his help in tracking her down. Tony is glad everything worked out. Tony assumes Jack and Jennifer are on their way back to Boston which Chad confirms. Tony asks what Chad found out from Ava. Chad says that Ava is still being held for questioning and not giving up the name of her accomplice.

Ava tells Gwen that Chad is never going to let this go, so she asks how Gwen will help her without confessing. Gwen swears not to tell a soul that she helped Kristen escape police custody. Ava asks if she’s threatening her and warns that if she did tell anyone, she’ll tell everyone that Gwen bashed Abigail over the head at the airstrip and that she knew about Sarah being kidnapped. Gwen warns that if Ava does that, she’ll let it be known that Ava set up Rafe on made up charges. Ava asks if they are going there now. Gwen brings up how many hours Melinda spent on that case and how she would feel about the woman who made her look like a complete fool. Gwen asks how Rafe would react to finding out what Ava did. Ava warns her that it would be a mistake to threaten her. Gwen says she’s just pointing out that they both have secrets. Ava argues that she can’t prove a thing. Gwen asks if she’s sure about that. Gwen suggests Ava keep her mouth shut and she will do the same. Gwen then exits the interrogation room.

Jack informs Xander about the drug making Sarah so delusional that she thinks she’s a completely different person. Xander says he will bring her back to reality. Xander thanks Jack and hangs up to go after Sarah. Sarah tells him to leave her alone. Xander tells her that Renee DuMonde was murdered by a serial killer. Sarah asks how he got involved in this scheme. Xander says that Renee has been dead for years. Sarah brings up other people being brought back to life in Salem. Sarah says she only cares about divorcing him and getting Tony away from Anna. Xander wishes he could get through to her and that she could remember how much they love each other. Sarah argues that he’s incapable of love and just wanted her inheritance. Xander says he’s not Alex, he’s Xander, and just wanted to make her happy. Sarah remarks that only Tony can make her happy because her heart will always belong to him. Xander shows her a photo of them on his phone and asks if she remembers it.

Gwen walks outside and asks God if this is her punishment for all the revenge she tried to get and the misery and suffering she’s gone through. Gwen wonders that even if Ava doesn’t rat her out and Sarah comes home, can it get any worse? Ned Grainger then appear and says it can always get worse as he asks if she remembers him.

Tony hopes Chad finds out who was behind this nightmare. Chad assures that he will and they will pay. Chad mentions running in to Anna upstairs and that she seems pretty upset about the whole Sarah/Renee situation. Chad knows it will be rough for awhile since Abigail took months to recover. Tony informs Chad that Sarah took off from the hospital which Chad says is not good. Tony agrees and then reveals that Sarah insisted on moving in which shocks Chad. Tony explains that she would at least be safe here and they can try to get her treated. Chad says no wonder Anna’s head exploded. Tony tells him about how Sarah just barged in. Chad asks where Sarah is now. Tony responds that she’s out there hiring him a divorce lawyer which Chad laughs at, saying it sounds like such a mess. Tony talks about how Renee was a passionate woman but now Sarah is channeling the same DiMera determination. Tony says unfortunately, he seems to be indulging in her delusion to avoid an all out war. Chad comments on how Anna feels. Chad says they have no idea what other drugs Kristen was feeding Sarah, but she’s here now, so maybe being in a familiar place will jog her memory. Tony hopes Sarah gets back to her old self soon.

Xander asks Sarah if the photo looks familiar to her but she says not at all. Xander points out that it’s a picture of them together. Sarah claims to have never seen it before and says the woman in the picture is Sarah Horton, but she is Renee DuMonde.

Mr. Shin starts the shareholders meeting and calls upon Jake to start. Jake says they have two motions; first is to elect Victor to the board of directors which Kate questions, since he’s competition. Johnny explains that the goal is to lull Victor in to a sense of security and then steal Titan from under him. Kate questions it being that easy and asks when the three of them started working together. Johnny says they have common interests. Mr. Shin asks about the second motion. Jake says the second is removing Chad as CEO with Jake replacing him. Kate declares she won’t allow that, so that won’t be happening. Gabi announces that she has two things to offer.

Gwen questions where Ned came from and if he’s been stalking her. Ned admits that he has and points out that Chad and Tony tracked him down, but he left Gwen’s name out of it and he didn’t do it for free so now it’s time for her to pay the price.

Xander questions Sarah not recognizing herself in the picture. Sarah insists it’s not her. Xander brings up that Renee would be about 65 years old if she were still alive. Xander says he can’t believe this. Sarah argues that everyone else needs help, not her. Sarah tells him to get out of her sight because she’s going home to the man she loves, Tony. Xander asks her to please wait.

Chad tells Tony that he could ask Abigail to try to get through to Sarah. Tony acknowledges Abigail going through a similar experience. Chad offers anything they can do to help. Tony thanks him and says he appreciates it. Chad asks if he told the rest of the family yet. Tony says he tried to tell Johnny but he seemed to be in a hurry to meet with his movie producer. Chad decides he should get to the office and hopes he didn’t miss too much while they were gone…

Jake questions Gabi as to what’s going on since he doesn’t remember discussing any amendments. Kate calls this very interesting. Jake asks what this is about. Gabi brings up Jake amending their last plan by going to Mr. Shin about ousting EJ without even talking to her first. Jake thought she trusted him. Gabi says she did and asks if he trusts her. Jake says he does which Kate calls a mistake. Jake asks Gabi why she’s doing this now. Gabi thought it would be more efficient. Gabi suggests instead of adding Victor to the board, they elect Johnny, and propose electing her as CEO of DiMera instead of Jake. Jake gets upset and asks what the hell this is. Jake asks what Gabi is doing. Gabi responds that there’s been a change of plans. Kate remarks that she told him not to trust her. Mr. Shin calls for a vote. Jake says they aren’t ready yet but Gabi says they are. Kate says she’d like Jake to get what he deserves, but she’s not going to let Gabi take Chad’s rightful place at DiMera. Gabi and Johnny responds that they can’t do anything. Kate asks how Johnny could do this to Tony and Chad when they’ve been so good to him. Johnny remarks that he’s a chip off the old block after all. Kate declares that she and Jake won’t be voting. Gabi says she and Johnny will vote while Johnny also has EJ’s shares. Kate asks if Mr. Shin is still on Jake’s side. Jake is surprised to see Kate come to his defense. Kate says it’s what’s right for the company. Kate says now would be a tie unless someone comes in to break the tie which means the status quo stands.

Gwen asks how Ned wants to make her pay. Ned responds that he wants one million dollars or else he will sing to the authorities and Xander. Gwen pleads with him not to say anything. Ned says he won’t if he gets his money. Gwen tells him that she will get him the money, but he will need to do something for her first. Ned argues that she’s in no position to make demands. Gwen explains that she doesn’t have money but Ava has access to the Vitali fortune. Gwen mentions that Ava is at the police department so if Ned can get her out of this mess, she promises to get him his pay day.

Xander tells Sarah that they were going to get married. Sarah pulls away from him. Xander wants to take her to see Maggie. Sarah calls him Alex Marshall. Xander complains that he doesn’t even know who that is. Sarah calls him a two faced bastard and says she never wants to see him again as she storms off. Gwen then walks up and calls out to Xander, asking if he’s alright. Xander informs her that he just saw Sarah.

Kate asks Mr. Shin if he’s voting for Jake since he knows it’s what is right for the company. Devil Johnny uses his power to overcome Mr. Shin, who then votes for Gabi to pass the motion. Kate and Jake can’t believe it while Gabi and Johnny celebrate. Jake questions Mr. Shin, who says that EJ is in prison while Chad and Tony abandoned their posts so it’s time for a change. Jake questions how Gabi could betray him like this. Gabi argues that Jake betrayed her first by going to the board to have Stefan’s shares transferred to his name. Jake says he didn’t do that. Gabi says Johnny showed him the papers. Jake argues that Johnny must have forged it just like he stole Maggie’s phone to text him. Gabi asks how he explains that she heard him telling Maggie that he only cared about the CEO job and that he didn’t care if she got Titan. Jake argues that he never met with Maggie. Gabi says she was there and heard every word. Gabi calls Jake a liar and a loser, so her first move as CEO will be have to security throw him out. Jake says none of this makes any sense. Johnny tells Gabi to get settled in her new office while he takes care of Jake.

Sarah goes to the DiMera Mansion and greets Tony. Tony asks if he can get her anything. Sarah hugs him and says she wants him to divorce Anna. Sarah adds that she tried to find Don Craig but no one has seen or heard from him in 35 years. Sarah says she did schedule an appointment with a lawyer and mentions running into “Alex Marshall”. Sarah adds that she also spoke to the lawyer about evicting Anna but Tony says no. Tony tells her that she can’t evict Anna. Sarah says it’s imperative that she does because she will not spend another night having Anna in bed with the man she loves.

Xander explains to Gwen that Sarah never really dumped him as it wasn’t her on the day of the wedding or the second time as she has been held captive on a deserted island this whole time. Gwen asks if Sarah wants to pick up where they left off. Xander says no which Gwen questions. Xander suggests they go to their room where he will try to explain because it’s kind of a long story.

Ned enters the interrogation room, disguised as a lawyer for Ava. Ava questions what is going on. Ned reveals that Gwen sent him to negotiate a deal with the district attorney and they have an appointment with Melinda shortly, after which Ava will walk out a free woman and suggests she leave by plane. Ned warns that his fees are steep but Gwen says Ava is good for it. Ned asks if he can count on her for payment. Ava confirms that he’s hired.

Chad goes to the DiMera Enterprises office and finds Gabi, who informs him that he is out and she is the new CEO.

Johnny laughs at Jake. Jake doesn’t know how he pulled this off but he knows he was behind it. Johnny mocks his ideas and says Jake can blame him but he just threw everything away. Johnny argues that Jake is powerless and impotent. Johnny tells him to get out before he throws him out. Jake says no, so Johnny threatens to call security. Jake grabs Johnny, who then turns in to the Devil and demands Jake get his hands off of him.

Recap written by Christine

Jack looked at a picture of Keemo with some other women. He commented that his son looked so happy. Jack recognized Mai, Keemo’s half sister, but he didn’t know who the other two people were. Jack was frustrated because he wasn’t sure what to make of all this – lured here by an anonymous person, who had now gone radio silent. Phyllis suggested that this person just wanted to point Jack in the right direction.

Jack and Phyllis decided to go through Keemo’s box again and look for clues. Phyllis pulled out a silk scarf, and Jack took it from her. She asked if he recognized it. He didn’t, and that was the issue. He didn’t know anything about Keemo. To Jack, it was one thing to read letters Keemo addressed to him, but it was another to be rifling through through Keemo’s most prized possessions. Phyllis noted that Jack was going back and forth between being curious and feeling like he was violating Keemo’s memory. She bluntly told him that Keemo was gone. She said this box wasn’t left here by accident – the person who sent the texts wanted him to go through it. She understood if he didn’t want her to go through this with him. She was trying to be supportive. She told him he couldn’t give up. She thought the answers he was looking for were here.

Phyllis thought they should go rest and get some food. Jack said that was a good idea, but he went back to the box. He found tickets to a Broadway show and wondered who Keemo took with him. He found more postcards from Vietnam, a decoration from a wedding, and a necklace. Jack flashed back to giving that necklace to Luan on Christmas 1995. She wished she’d found something good to give him. He said she already gave him the greatest gift of all – the son he’d always wanted.

Jack told Phyllis about giving the gift to Luan. After she died, Jack sent it to Keemo, along with some other keepsakes. Jack found a picture of himself and Luan at their wedding in the box. He cried because it was a sign that Keemo never completely erased Jack from his life.

Jack thought he’d lost Luan forever, but the stars aligned and they found each other. Keemo had been hurt when they tracked him down at first – he felt abandoned. Jack won Keemo over, and he’d been the best man at the wedding. That was why it hurt more when Keemo cut Jack out. The wedding had been a mix of American and Vietnamese traditions. Luan wore red. There was a flashback to the wedding. In the present, Jack said that it was a miracle that he found Luan. Again. “We were supposed to spend the rest of our lives together as a family.

Jack found a statement of paternity in Keemo’s things. It was something Jack had drawn up and gave to Keemo after the wedding. Phyllis said it must’ve meant something to Keemo. It made Jack wonder if he and Keemo could’ve reconciled if they’d seen each other face to face. Phyllis saw no need for Jack to torture himself with what-ifs. Jack still wondered what if he’d disregarded all those angry emails and stood firm. He said it was a parent’s job to know when your child needed you to push back and see that there were needs underneath all that anger. Phyllis didn’t think Jack should go down that path. It was also hard for her to watch him struggle with this when there was no solution. He wasn’t sure he could get closure without asking the tough questions. She understood, but she didn’t think this was the time. She thought they should deal with the real reason they came here – figuring out who was sending the texts. He agreed that they should focus. He picked up the photo again, and she wondered if one of the women in it was sending the text messages.

Found another doctor who gave info to Baldwin. Took care of all three of them,” the text Ashland received said. Victoria was waiting for Ashland when he walked into the office. She wondered what took him so long, since they both left Crimson Lights at the same time. He said he got caught up by a traffic light. Earlier, he’d told her that there was something he needed to tell her about her father. Victoria wanted to know what was going on. She asked what Victor said to him in private.

Ashland was hesitant because Victoria was close to her dad. She said he knew she had a complicated relationship with her father, and she didn’t need to be protected from his latest machinations. Ashland told Victoria that some quack was saying he’d lied about his treatment and falsified medical records and faked cancer. Ashland said that, for some reason, Victor trusted this person. Victoria thought that was insane. Ashland said it got worse – Victor was threatening to tell Victoria all this if Ashland didn’t disappear from her life. Ashland was adamant that he did not fake his cancer. Victoria said this was outrageous. Ashland agreed, and that was why he was telling her this. He didn’t trust her father. Ashland didn’t want Victoria to hear this news from anyone else. Victoria asked why Victor suddenly turned on Ashland. Ashland didn’t know, unless Victor honestly believed the lies from this horrible doctor. Victoria said she met with Ashland’s oncologist in NY, and she’d seen his medical records – there was no doubt he had cancer. Victoria was sure her father would come to her if he really believed this, so she couldn’t imagine what Victor was thinking.

Ashland said Victor was a protective father and protective mogul, and maybe he didn’t want someone without Newman blood running the company. Victoria said people outside the family had been the CEO of Newman Enterprises. Ashland said Victor might want him out of the company. Victoria couldn’t believe her father would think she would find Ashland capable of doing something like this. He said that he’d been called the Locke Ness Monster. She hated the name – it bore no resemblance to the man she loved. He said the name fit like a glove once, but he changed because of her.

Victoria said Ashland was self-made, and she had nothing to do with the man he’d become. He thought she underestimated the effect she’d had on him. She said he’d gone through a lot, and it gave him a new perspective. He agreed, but he said their love made him a better man. He was eternally grateful she’d banished that other side of him forever. She’d learned that you couldn’t change a person unless they wanted to be changed. She knew he’d made bad choices, but so had her family, her father chief among them. That was why she couldn’t believe and accept that Victor turned on her and Ashland.

At Newman Media, Sally had been hesitant about leaving fashion for the business world, but she found this invigorating. Sally shifted gears and asked Adam how he thought Victoria was doing. She noted that he’d said Victoria might be headed for heartbreak. At that point, Victor showed up wanting a private word with his son. Sally said she’d go to Society, and Adam said he’d join her when he was finished. She left. Victor hoped Adam kept the details of Ashland’s latest deception to himself. Adam saw that Sally and Adam were close, and she wasn’t known for her deception. Adam hadn’t said a word about Ashland faking his illness. Victor told Ashland to get out of town and leave Victoria, or else Victor would tell her everything.

Victor said that if Victoria found out Ashland used her for the merger, she’d be devastated. Adam said that she’d be devastated either way, unless Nick was right and Victoria forgave Ashland for this, just as she forgave him for everything else. Victor didn’t think that would happen, but he was trying to protect the family by insisting that Ashland get out of town. Victor thought that it would be easier for Victoria to get over being left than to learn that Ashland used her and that the wedding was all a ruse.

Victor said he hadn’t been able to contact Michael since he confronted Ashland. Michael had assured Victor that he was sending all the pertinent information by courier. Victor got a call from an investigator. Michael and the two Peruvian doctors had disappeared. Adam wondered if Ashland got to them. Victor said he was going to deal with it.

Lauren and Chloe were at Society. Lauren was missing Michael. She’d been hesitant about him taking this job for Victor, because she knew it would take a lot of time, but now he was in Peru, and he kept saying he was coming home soon, but that clearly wasn’t true. She’d been trying to contact him since last night, but he wasn’t responding. Chloe said, if Michael was anything like Kevin, he didn’t like texting at work. Lauren sent another text. Lauren needed a distraction, so she asked how Chloe and Chelsea were coming along with the Sally-free fashion label. Chloe said that she and Chelsea were a little behind for the summer deadline, but Chelsea had pulled strings, and she thought they’d meet their goals. Sally walked in and asked how Chloe’s new line was going. Chloe said it was in the beginning stages, but it was going great. Chloe asked about Sally’s job. Sally found her new niche – she was good at business, and she and Adam made a great team.

Lauren excused herself. Sally wondered if it was something she said. “No doubt,” Chloe said. Chloe was happy Lauren stepped away though, because she wanted to talk to Sally. Chloe loved working with Sally, and she was proud of what they created at Newman Fashion. Sally said things had been great until Chelsea got involved. Sally really enjoyed working with Chloe too, and she was sorry it didn’t last, but it seemed like everyone landed where they were supposed to. Chloe hoped Sally hadn’t given up on her dreams. Sally saw Adam walking in and said she hadn’t given up on them at all.

Adam asked if Lauren heard from Michael. Lauren said that, since Michael was on business for Adam’s father, it seemed like they’d know more about what Michael was doing than she did. Adam was sure Lauren talked to Michael more often than Victor did. Adam and Sally went to their table. Lauren was feeling even more worried after Adam’s fake nonchalance. She called Victor and asked if he’d talked to Michael. He said he had been in regular contact with him. She asked him to tell Michael to call her the next time they talked. The call ended. Lauren told Chloe that she didn’t feel any better.

Sally thought she should be included on what was going on with the Newmans, since she worked at the family business. Adam told Sally not to push it. He told her that, for her own protection, she didn’t want to be anywhere near this, because it might not turn out how Victor hoped. She asked if Adam would be affected if Victor’s plan failed. Adam doubted it would effect him in a bad way. He said that if Victor miscalculated and it created a rift with Victoria, the dynamic might change at Newman Locke, which might work in Adam’s favor.

Victor called Ashland. “No more stalling. You have one hour or I take everything I know straight to Victoria,” Victor threatened. “Do it. I’m not going anywhere,” Ashland replied.
