 Lucas wondered why Nicole wanted to find Kristen. She told him she wanted to prove that he and Sami had an affair. She said Theo couldn’t get Kristen’s number, but she would find another way to prove it. Nicole walked away. Brady told Xander that he knows he blackmailed Nicole into giving him a job. They argued until Nicole showed up. Xander told Nicole to shut Brady up before he left. Nicole and Brady talked about her marriage. She didn’t know if she had a marriage to save. She said it was her anniversary. He told her to take the day off. When Nicole went home, she saw flowers in a vase. She read the note on the table. Eric came out and told her happy anniversary. She was happy to see him.

Lucas called Sami and asked if she found Kristen’s letter. She told him Gabi and Jake read it, but she burned it. She said EJ would never know the truth. Lucas said he wasn’t sure about that. He said Nicole was determined to expose their affair. Sami told Lucas that things were good with EJ. She said she couldn’t let Nicole expose her affair. She hung up the phone. Lucas looked at the letter and said EJ might not find out the truth from Nicole. Lucas wanted to meet with EJ at his office. Sami went to the Horton house to meet Xander. She wanted to know the truth about him and Nicole. Jake and Gabi talked about Kristen’s letter. Jake wanted to use it, but Gabi thought they did the right thing. He said he needed something to take down EJ. She said she could help him with that. She said she would convince Philip to hire him. She said when Philip messed up, she would take over as CEO. She said she would take down DiMera. Jake loved the idea.

Abe went to see John and Marlena. He told them what happened to him because of Paulina. He said people weren’t happy with him now because of Paulina and her plans for the Town Square. John and Marlena said it wasn’t his fault. Abe blamed himself. He said he’s mayor and he went to bat for her. Marlena asked if there was a way to stop it. Abe said Paulina did everything legally. Marlena asked if Paulina wanted to work things out. Abe said it was over. Paulina went to see Lani. Lani slammed the door on her. Paulina kept nagging Lani until she let her in. Paulina wanted to talk to Chanel, but Lani told her she wasn’t there. Paulina sent her a text. Lani told her all of the things she did wrong. Paulina begged Lani not to turn her back on her. Lani told her to leave. Allie asked Chanel about the kiss. Chanel said she was starting to have feelings for her beyond friendship. Allie said she felt the same way. She said she thought about her all the time. Allie said she was confused. Chanel said Allie and Tripp weren’t serious so they should see where things go between them.

Tripp showed up at Allie’s apartment. Chanel went for a walk so Allie and Tripp could talk. Allie told Tripp that she and Chanel kissed again. She said this time it was mutual. He asked where that left them. She said she wasn’t breaking up with him. She said she was confused, but he was the one she wanted. He said he wanted her to be happy. He said he cared about her. She said she cared about him. They kissed each other. Chanel ran into Paulina at the Square. Paulina said she would carve out a spot for a bakery. Chanel said she wanted nothing to do with her. Abe showed up in the Square. Chanel walked off. Paulina said she would do whatever it takes to make up for what she did. Abe told her to stop the demolition. When she didn’t answer, Abe said that was what he thought. He walked away. Julie went to the police station. She told Eli that Xander and Gwen killed Snyder. Eli said Snyder died of natural causes. Julie asked how he ended up in a lake with his clothes on. She asked about Gwen’s lie about the last time she saw him. Eli agreed to question Gwen.

Ben and Ciara wanted to go to Justin for their situation. Ciara wanted him to get another lawyer, but Ben wanted her to get another lawyer. Ben tried to convince her not to divorce him. Justin also tried to convince her that she believed in him too. Bonnie asked Kayla to be her matron of honor. Jack talked to Steve about what’s going on with Gwen. He wanted to get his help investigating what she’s keeping from him concerning Dr. Snyder. Steve thought he knew something already about them. Theo went to see Chad and told him about getting married. He was excited for him. Theo told him about Ciara’s situation and he thought he was doing the right thing. Ciara continued to tell Ben about being a killer and how she wanted to marry Theo. Justin was surprised that she wanted to marry Theo. Ben thought Justin didn’t think she should marry Theo. Justin didn’t have a problem with it. Ciara said Theo was a good man and didn’t go to jail for murder like he did. Steve told Jack about the missing pills from the hospital. Jack wanted to know if he was accusing Gwen of being a drug dealer.

Xander and Julie argued after she caught him making out with Gwen. She felt like they were ruining her grandparents’ memory. He felt like they were invited in the house and she should be more hospitable. She told them to go somewhere more private. Chad noticed that Theo didn’t seem happy about marrying Ciara. He said he thought about what he told him. He talked to Chad about Ben trying to get Ciara to remember him. He continued to tell Chad about Ben’s actions. Chad hoped Ciara never got her memory back. Ciara and Ben argued over whether he would represent them. Ben thought Justin wouldn’t represent her because he knew the divorce was a mistake. They wanted to know what he was going to do. Bonnie felt that Kayla being in her wedding would make people see that her relationship with Justin was real. Justin decided not to represent Ciara or Ben.

Sami threw Kristen’s letter in the fireplace. EJ saw her with a box of matches. He asked her why she was lighting a fire in July. She said she was cold. She wanted him to warm her up. After Sami and EJ made love, he blamed himself for their problems. He said they have allowed people to get in the way in the past. She said they wouldn’t do that again. When EJ went to sleep, Sami went downstairs. Sami wanted to make sure the letter was still in the fireplace. She lit a match. Johnny called her. Someone was watching Sami walk out of the room so she could talk to him. The person grabbed the letter out of the fireplace. Jack asked Gwen about her relationship with Dr. Snyder. She said there was no trouble. Jack didn’t believe her. He asked if she knew how Snyder ended up in the lake. Xander showed up and told Jack to leave it alone. Jack was suspicious. He asked if they were keeping something from him about Snyder. Gwen and Xander said they had nothing to hide. Jack said he cared about them and wanted to help them. When Jack left, Gwen yelled at Xander for overreacting all the time. He said he was trying to protect her. She said she didn’t need protection. He threatened to tell Jack about her miscarriage. She stopped him from leaving. He told her to let him go. She asked if he wanted that. He told her what he wanted. He kissed her.

Ben told Marlena that Ciara was marrying Theo. He said he knew Ciara was starting to get her memory back. He said he would fight hard for her. Marlena appreciated his effort, but she wondered what would happen if he lost the fight. He said he wouldn’t flip out and kill anyone. She said she wasn’t worried about that. She said he may get hurt. Marlena told Ben that Ciara might not remember him. She said Ciara didn’t want to be married right now. He didn’t care how long it took. He said he would wait forever. Ciara went to see Shawn. She told him she was engaged. He congratulated her. He said it was fast. He said she was still married to Ben. She said that was why she was there. She said she needed Belle to help her take Ben to court. Claire showed up to defend Ben. Ciara yelled at Claire. Shawn defended Claire when Ciara yelled at her. Claire told Ciara that she was sorry for what she did and was done begging for forgiveness. She said she would wait for the real Ciara to come back. She said this Ciara was a b*tch. Shawn agreed with Claire and defended Ben. Shawn said she used to believe in Ben. Shawn said it was Ciara’s choice to marry Theo, but she belonged with her husband. She said she wanted to be with Theo. She told Claire that she and Ben deserved each other. She said she would find another lawyer. Before Ciara left, she told Shawn to hide the matches.

Lucas denied Nicole’s accusation that he slept with Sami. Nicole told him everything Chloe said. She said she knew Kristen had something on them. He said she didn’t have any proof. Nicole said she would get proof and walked away from him. Sami was nervous when EJ looked through the mail for Kristen’s letter. When he couldn’t find the letter, he wanted to go back upstairs to look for it. They kissed. They were interrupted when Lucas called. She left to take the call. Sami told Lucas that Kristen wrote EJ a letter. She said she didn’t have time to waste. She got off the phone so she could find it. Jake took the letter from Gabi. He read the letter out loud. He read that Sami had an affair with another man. Gabi was shocked. Jake thought that was better than business secrets because EJ would be gutted when he found out. Gabi read the letter. Gabi and Jake found out Sami had an affair with Lucas. Jake said EJ took DiMera from him so he was going to take Sami away from him. Gabi said he couldn’t do that because Sami was Arianna’s grandmother. Gabi said she wouldn’t ruin her marriage. Jake threw the letter in the garbage. She was happy and wanted to call her daughter. Jake looked at the garbage. When Gabi came back, Jake was gone. Gabi looked at the garbage and ran out.

Jake went to the DiMera mansion. He told EJ he was there to take him down. EJ wasn’t scared. Jake went in his pocket and said he had something for him. EJ thought it was a gun. EJ told him to shoot him. Jake thought about his conversation with Gabi. He said he wouldn’t hurt Gabi. Gabi ended up showing up. Jake gave Gabi Kristen’s letter. He said he couldn’t show EJ the letter because he loved her. When Jake left, Gabi gave Sami the letter. Gabi said she read the letter. Sami tried to say she didn’t sleep with Lucas, but Gabi didn’t believe her. Sami said she couldn’t lose EJ. Gabi said she knew that and that was why she was there to help. Sami thanked her, but Jake still knew. Gabi said she would deal with Jake. Sami read Kristen’s letter. She threw it in the fireplace, but couldn’t find any matches. She looked in the desk for the matches. EJ walked in and wanted to know what she was doing with a box of matches. Gabi confronted Jake for almost telling EJ about the letter. He said he couldn’t go through it because he loved her more than he hated EJ. He told her he loved her. He said nothing was more important than her. They kissed each other. Brady told Chloe that he was done with Kristen. He wanted them to be together. When she hesitated, he thought he had to earn back her trust. He said if he was lucky, he would earn her love. He kissed her. Philip came in and told him to get off of her. Brady told him he and Chloe were getting back together. Chloe told Brady that she was with Philip. Brady and Philip argued with each other. She told Brady that she cared about him, but she didn’t he would ever get over Kristen. Philip was smug while she was talking to Brady. Brady apologized and left.

Kate talked to Lucas at the Pub. He was upset that she pretended to be blind. She said she didn’t mean to hurt anyone. She said she had to stick with her plan. Roman interrupted and thought he was upset about Sami and EJ. Kate said she was glad EJ was back because he gave her a job. She said she didn’t need the money. She said she was paying back Jake and Gabi. When Lucas left, Kate told Roman was right about her and Jake. Roman wasn’t happy about being right. He said he was afraid she wouldn’t be able to get over it. She said she was fighting back. He thought she was distracting herself so she didn’t have to care. Jake was in Rafe’s kitchen. Jake said he and Gabi moved in last night. Rafe was shocked. Gabi showed up and explained what happened with the DiMeras. Rafe didn’t get why she moved out of the house she owned because Jake didn’t live there anymore. Gabi tried to justify her decision. Philip called Gabi. When she got off the phone, she said she had to go back to the mansion to get mail that she left. Rafe told Jake that he didn’t like what he did to Kate. Rafe said he used her. He wondered if he was doing the same thing to Gabi. Jake said he and Kate were happy, but what he and Gabi had didn’t go away. Jake asked if he was with someone he cared about, but was thinking of someone else. Jake said things were fine until EJ showed up. He said he hated EJ. Rafe said he understood, but his sister better not get hurt.

Gabi went to the mansion and yelled at EJ for what he did to Jake. EJ said it was the right move. She said she and Philip would ruin DiMera. Sami ran after Gabi. Sami warned her not to make an enemy out of the DiMeras. Nicole talked to Chloe about proving Sami slept with Lucas. Chloe wanted to know why she cared. Nicole said she needed to get Sami under control. Chloe said she knew Sami and Lucas were up to something because she put Lucas up to saying he had a tumor. While they were talking about the situation, Chloe and Nicole realized that Kristen had something on Sami and Lucas. Kristen called Brady. She told him she missed him and Rachel. He said he had nothing to say to her. He changed his mind. He asked if he should frame the picture she destroyed of Chloe. Kristen apologized for that. He said it reminded him of why he couldn’t be with her. She attempted to defend herself, but he blamed her for Chloe almost dying. Kristen said he was in love with Chloe. Kristen told him to be with her. Brady went to work just as Chloe told Nicole that she hated Kristen. He understood why she felt that way. He told them about Kristen’s call. Nicole left them alone. He told Chloe about the picture he found in Kristen’s things. He said he kept it to remind himself how terrible Kristen was. He questioned how he could live someone like Kristen. He told Chloe that he wanted to be with her. Kristen called EJ to find out if he got the letter she sent him. Sami took the phone out of his hand. She was nervous when he said Kristen sent him a letter. When Gabi went to Rafe’s place, she saw that she took a letter addressed for EJ. Nicole ran into Lucas at the pub. She called him out for sleeping with Sami.

Paulina told Abe that she did what she had to do to get the project done. She said when Chanel got involved, things were too far. Paulina said she would have lost too much money if she pulled out. Abe asked if she was as rich as she said. She said she wasn’t broke and would never be again. Paulina told Abe that she got involved with a rich older man when she didn’t have money. She said he controlled and abused her. She said when she got away, she promised that she would never be beholden to a man again. Abe asked Paulina about Chanel’s father. She said he was a good man who didn’t have any money. She was the one making money. She said they were happy. Abe thought it was a good story, but wondered if it was true. She said her feelings were real. He said he was embarrassed that he was played. She asked what it meant for them. He said they were done. He said Price Town would never see the light of day.

Ben locked the apartment door. He also blocked it so Ciara couldn’t leave. She asked if he had a necktie handy so he could strangle her. He said he would never hurt her. She said he was just like Vincent, Rhodes and Evan. Ben told her that she remembered their names. She said she didn’t remember. She said Hope and Theo told her their names. Ben said he wasn’t like the others. He opened the door and said she was free to go. Ben told Ciara about what he went through in order to find her when she was being held captive. She heard his voice when he found her in the rubble. When she looked lost, he thought she was starting to remember something. Theo showed up and told him to leave Ciara alone. Ben told Theo that Ciara was starting to remember. Ben said he saw it in her eyes. Theo thought he saw what he wanted to see. She said she didn’t remember anything. Ben said she remembered him in her heart. She told Theo that Ben ripped the divorce papers. She said she had to take him to court. Ben told Theo the only reason Ciara was marrying him was because she didn’t remember their love. Ben said Ciara was starting to remember. He said he didn’t want to see Theo get hurt. Ben told her that her love for him is still there. He asked her to tell him he’s wrong. She said he loved a girl she didn’t remember being. She said ahe would see him in court.

Eli, Lani, Chanel and Abe wanted to know what Price Town was. Paulina said it was juat a working title. The foreman said they were turning the Town Square into a big box store. Paulina tried to deny what the foreman said, but Chanel said she saw the blueprints for one building. Paulina told everyone that she saw an opportunity for the community. She said she thought it would be easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Eli looked at the permit. Paulina said she was demolishing the whole Town Square. Paulina defended her project by saying it would create opportunities and money for all of Salem. Lani and Eli said the square was the twins’ legacy. Lani said they were giving Paulina back the money she gave for the twins’ tuition. Abe told the workers to stop the demolition. The workers left. Abe went to City Hall. Chanel couldn’t believe Paulina was doing this. She asked if Paulina ever believed in her. Paulina said Chanel could get a job at the store. Chanel said she didn’t want a job. She wanted a dream. She said she wanted to build something for herself. She called Paulina a liar and a cheat who didn’t care who she hurt to get what she wanted. When Chanel left, Abe came back. He asked what she was thinking.

Theo told Doug and Julie that he and Ciara were engaged. Doug and Julie were shocked. Theo said Ciara was asking Ben to sign the divorce papers. Julie asked if Ciara was getting her memory back. Theo said she wasn’t. He said the more time passed, the less likely she would get her memory back. Doug and Julie wondered what Theo was going to do if Ciara got her memory back. Eli and Lani went back to Julie’s Place with the Horton Square plaque. Julie was upset. Doug told Julie that Paulina was Lani’s aunt. Lani didn’t care what Julie said about her. Lani said what Paulina did made her sick. Theo said Abe would be able to stop her. Eli told Julie that the plaque would be where it belonged. Theo told Lani that he and Ciara were engaged. Lani was happy for them. He told her about Doug and Julie’s issues. Theo said he had to believe everything would be okay. Ciara told Ben that she and Theo were engaged. Ben didn’t believe her. He asked where the ring was. She took out the ring and put it on. He looked at the ring. She said she loved Theo and was going to marry him. She said she loved Theo. Ben said she didn’t love Theo the way she loved him. He said Theo was safe and familiar, but what they had was intense and passionate. She said that passion almost got her killed. Ciara gave Ben the divorce papers and told him to sign them. He ripped them up. He said there was no way he was going to let her end their marriage without a fight. She said he was obsessed. He said it was love. He said she would remember what they had. She said she didn’t care what he thought they had. She thought it was cruel that he was making it hard for her. She said she was taking him to court. He pulled out mementos of their time together. She said it didn’t mean anything to her. When she tried to leave, he locked the door. He said he couldn’t let her go.

Eli told Gwen and Xander that Dr. Snyder was found dead in the lake. Eli asked Gwen about the tension between her and Snyder. She said she didn’t have a problem with Snyder. She said he was her doctor and that was it. Eli got a message saying Snyder was dead before he was in the water. When Eli left, Gwen yelled at Xander. She reminded him that he said he knew how to get rid of a body. He said he did his best. He told her to blame Tripp for why Eli suspected her. She started to panic when she wondered if they answered all of Eli’s questions. Xander said Julie could contradict her claim about the last time she saw Snyder. She hoped Julie didn’t see Snyder’s face. He said they better hope not.

Abe brought Lani to Julie’s Place. She pretended to be surprised when everyone came out. During the party, someone showed up to get Paulina’s signature for the demolition order. She signed the order. The guy left. When people asked her about the guy, she was nervous. Abe took the order out of her hand. He read that they were demolishing the town square. Abe, Eli and Lani left to stop the demolition. Paulina went to see what was happening. Abe, Lani, Eli and Chanel went to stop the demolition. They told the foreman to stop what he was doing. The man told them the town square was going down. He started destroying Tom and Alice’s plaque. He said it would be the future home of Price Town. Paulina showed up. Ben came home and saw Ciara. He asked if she was real. She said she was real, but she didn’t get her memory back. She said she wasn’t coming home to him. She said she was there to get him to sign the divorce papers. She said he ignored her when she tried to reach out to him about the papers. He said he burned them. Ciara had another set of divorce papers. Ben took the papers, but didn’t want to sign them. He said he knows she remembers him. She said she had a life with Theo. She said it had nothing to do with him. He threw the papers. She told him to sign them because she and Theo were engaged.

Gwen asked Xander what he did with Dr. Snyder’s body. She was surprised he was able to sleep on the couch where Snyder died. Xander said no one would find the body. She didn’t feel any better. He said all she needed to know was Snyder was never going to bother her again. Xander asked Gwen if her guilt was more about what Snyder had over her than his death. He wanted to know what was keeping her up at night. She asked why she should trust him. He said moving a dead body should count for something. He said her secret was safe with him.

Gwen told Xander the truth about her miscarriage. She said it happened before she fell down the stairs. She said Jack couldn’t find out or she would lose him. Xander said Jack would hate what she did. She asked if he was going to tell him. He said he didn’t like how she was lying to Jack, but he understood that she wanted a relationship with him. He said he wouldn’t say anything. Ben, Claire, Allie, Chanel and Tripp went to the beach. While they were talking, they saw Snyder’s body. Tripp and Ben dragged the body out of the water. Tripp said it was Dr. Snyder. Eli went to the lake. He thought what happened to Snyder wasn’t an accident. Eli let Tripp know he wasn’t a suspect, but since Tripp knew the doctor, he asked if there were any problems between them. Tripp told him there were pills missing and there was tension between Snyder and Gwen. Eli went to the Horton house. He wanted to talk to Gwen about Dr. Snyder. Eli said Snyder was dead. Gwen pretended to be shocked.

Abe talked to Marlena about his relationship with Paulina. Lani overheard Paulina talking about the plans she was doing for the town. She didn’t hear the entire conversation, but she heard enough to know she’s keeping something from Abe. She wanted to know what she was keeping from her father. Shawn gave Brady Kristen’s personal effects. He didn’t really want to take them, but he did. He saw a picture of Chloe. They talked about Kristen. Brady said Kristen wasn’t the person he thought. Shawn tried to make him feel better, but he blamed himself for what happened. He admitted he was drawn to Chloe and Kristen had a front row seat to the whole thing. Shawn said that he loved Chloe once. He said it was a long time ago. He also told him that Philip was moving in on Chloe. Philip wanted to have a chance with Chloe. She thought he was pressuring her. He wanted an answer when Belle showed up. Paulina told Lani that she cared about Abe. Lani admitted that she hid something from Eli that almost destroyed them. She didn’t want her father to be hurt the way she hurt Eli. Paulina said she didn’t want to lose Abe. Lani wanted to know what she was hiding.

Abe continued to talk to Marlena about Paulina. She wondered how Lani’s mother would feel about that. Paulina lied to Lani about why she went to Florida. Lani didn’t believe her and wanted to know what she wasn’t telling her. Chloe talked to Belle about Philip. She admitted her feelings for Brady are what’s holding her back from being with Philip. Philip walked in on Shawn encouraging Brady to go after Chloe. Philip wondered if Shawn was still intimidated by him. They argued with Philip about what he did with Belle and Chloe. Philip reminded Brady about the times he had with Chloe. Shawn reminded him that he kept trying to ruin his relationship with Belle. Philip let them know that he knew what he wanted. Belle tried to convince Chloe that she should be with Philip. Abe walked up on Paulina while she told her about her insecurities about the town square. He assured her that she would do a great job. He gave her the zoning permit. He congratulated her for getting the permit.

Jake and Gabi were shocked that Kate was faking being blind. Kate said she overheard them talking about being together when they thought she was in a coma. Jake said he was sorry she heard them. He apologized for not being honest from the beginning. Kate slapped him. She told Gabi that she wasn’t going to hit her. She said being with an unemployed loser was enough punishment. Kate told Jake that his garage might be hiring. Gabi was happy she and Jake didn’t have to sneak around anymore. He said he didn’t want to stay in the mansion anymore and wanted to leave. She was willing to kick everyone out of the mansion. He said it didn’t matter who lived there. He didn’t want to be there anymore. He said he knew how much the mansion meant to her. She said she didn’t want to stay if he didn’t want to.

Chad walked in the office at DiMera and overheard EJ telling Sami that he was the new CEO. Chad asked him if he meant co-CEO. Chad thought EJ had no intention of sharing the position with him. EJ said the idea was a good one, but Chad didn’t trust him. EJ asked if he wanted to work with him or not. Kate walked in the DiMera office. She said she was ready to get back to a normal life. EJ wanted to make her an offer as long as Chad was okay with it. Chad said he was. EJ wanted him to handle it. When EJ left, Kate told Chad about telling Jake and Gabi the truth. Lucas called Sami a doormat for doing what EJ wanted. They ended up arguing. Allie walked in and wanted to know what was going on. Lucas told her they were arguing over EJ. Sami and Lucas argued again. Sami said they needed to stop talking about EJ. Sami ended up leaving. Allie wondered why Lucas hated EJ more than he did before.

Ava told Nicole about Lucas’ conversation with Rafe. She told her how upset Lucas was about EJ being back in Salem. Nicole remembered how upset Lucas was about him being there too. Kate voted against Jake at DiMera. He wanted to talk to Kate, but EJ told him the vote was final. Jake was convinced Chad had something to do with her vote. Ava continued to tell Nicole about Lucas and Sami keeping a secret. Nicole told her that Xander suspected something too. She wanted to prove something happened between them. Lucas wanted to know how Sami was going to stop Kristen from calling Kristen. Gabi asked Kate how she could stab Jake in the back. Mr. Shin said that her vote was legal. He told Jake he had to vacate the building. Jake wanted to get his stuff, but he told him that he couldn’t do it. Jake knew Chad was behind what happened with the vote. Nicole was determined to find out the truth about Sami and Lucas. Sami asked Lucas why he thought Kristen would expose her. He told her the things they did to make Kristen turn on them. Sami thought they weren’t on her mind right now. Mr. Shin congratulated the DiMeras on getting rid of Jake. He wanted to know who was going to take over for him. Kate talked to Stefano’s picture and told him how she got revenge on Jake. He showed up and demanded answers for what she did.

Jake called Kate out on voting against him. He wanted to know what happened. She said Gabi was the reason why she did it. She said that Gabi told her that he was with her out of pity. She never would have done it if it weren’t for Gabi. Gabi walked in the room and couldn’t believe what she said. Chad and EJ wanted to run the company. They ended up arguing about it. Eli talked to Rafe about the possibility of something going on with Nicole. Rafe denied it. Eli reminded him about how much he talked about Nicole. He said his people already found her. Sami wanted him to find another way to get votes. She said she was afraid that he would get arrested for aiding and abetting. She didn’t want to lose him again. He said he could never say no to her. They started kissing. He stopped her to say he was meeting his brothers. Nicole ran into Lucas at the pub. She started talking to him about Sami accusing her of cheating on Eric. He told her that Sami wanted him to wear a wire to record her confession. Nicole asked why Sami wanted him to help her. He told her things changed between him and Sami when they were trapped together. When Nicole kept asking about it, he wanted to know why she was so interested. Sami walked in the pub when Nicole was trying to explain why she was interested in whether or not Sami had an affair with Lucas. Sami and Nicole ended up arguing with each other. Nicole left the pub. Lucas told Sami to be nicer to Nicole. He said Nicole was trying to expose him. Sami wanted to know what made Nicole suspicious of them.

Tony let Chad know Gabi got Steven Hawk. He said Steven was going to vote with Jake. Tony wanted Chad to try again with Kate. Chad didn’t want to pressure her. Chad said Kate was thinking with her head and not her heart when it comes to Jake. Jake and Gabi found out Peter was voting with EJ. Jake was fine with it because they had Kate’s vote. Kate showed up while they were talking. Jake went to help her. Gabi and Kate argued with each other. When they were finished, Gabi asked who Kate was going to vote for Jake. EJ said he was back better than ever. EJ said he respected Jake, but he was a placeholder. Chad said he was ready to be back as CEO. Jake wanted to stop wasting time and get on with the vote. EJ, Chad and Tony talked about getting g rid of Jake at DiMera. EJ said all they needed were three DiMeras to come forward and say they didn’t have confidence in Jake. EJ said they had to act fast because a new product was about to launch. EJ said there would be nothing left of DiMera or Stefano’ s legacy. The three set their plan in motion. After their meeting, EJ went to see Jake. He told Jake that now that he was back, Jake was out. Jake said he was surprised that he and the others didn’t keep it a secret that they were coming after him. EJ said he gave him a warning just to be courteous. Gabi wanted to talk to Kate about Jake. Gabi said Jake wanted her to feel sorry for her because she was blind and lost her memory. Gabi brought up her walking in on her and Jake making love. Kate thought about Gabi and Jake making love. Gabi told Kate that if she remembered them making love, then she knows how Jake feels. Gabi said Jake felt obligated to stay with her. Gabi said she pitied her. She advised Kate to let him go. Kate and Gabi argued with each other. Kate said she hoped Gabi wouldn’t get bitter once she was rejected. Gabi said she was only going to be in Jake’s bed temporarily.

Sami told Roman that she and EJ were staying in Salem. She said she made a vow to never let anything come between them. Roman asked if she was going to let Lucas come between them. Sami showed up and was surprised to see them all together. She wanted to know what was going on. Gabi and Jake talked about the other DiMeras trying to get him. She wanted to help him. Brady overheard Xander talking about his affair with Nicole. They turned around and saw Brady standing there. Brady said Chloe was staying with Philip. Xander couldn’t believe he would let her sleep with the enemy. He said they should fire her. Brady and Nicole said they weren’t doing it. Brady told Xander to take the rest of the day off. He asked Nicole if she was with Xander. He said he overheard what Xander said. She confessed she cheated on Eric. She said she hired Xander so he wouldn’t tell Sami that she cheated on Eric. He wanted to help her. She told him Eric hasn’t been around. Nicole told Brady she couldn’t understand why she cheated on Eric. He said she was being self-destructive. She said she wasn’t hurting herself. She said she was hurting Eric too. She said she didn’t think Eric would get over it. She asked if he was going to tell Eric. He said he wouldn’t say anything.

Snyder went to see Gwen. He said Kayla was looking at her chart. He said he covered her lie about the miscarriage. She thought the leverage he had against her was gone. Xander grabbed Snyder and held a letter opener to his throat. Snyder told him to stop. Xander said he lost the only person who would have stopped him from doing this. He said he had no reason to be a good person anymore. Gwen told him to stop. She said she didn’t want Xander to kill him. She said he could be good for Jack. Lani said it was a long time since Abe was with someone so she didn’t have a problem with them being together. Julie wanted answers from Xander and Gwen about Dr. Snyder being passed out on the couch. Xander came up with an excuse for Julie. She wanted them to get Dr. Snyder off of her couch. Abe went to see Lani to tell her about being with Paulina. Paulina was still there and came out and admit that they made love.

Steve and Kayla talked about the possibility that Gwen was involved with a drug ring. She told him that Gwen was involved with Dr. Snyder. He thought she might have cheated on EJ the same way she cheated on Eric. EJ wanted to know why Sami didn’t want Lucas to stay at the DiMera mansion. She kept giving him excuses, but he had an answer for her. He told her that he didn’t have a problem with Lucas staying with them. Kate wanted Jake to make love to her. Jake told her that she had to get adjusted to everything. She said she was able to get along just fine. He insisted they wait before being together. She thought it was because of Gabi. He wanted to know why she thought that way. She reminded him how he turned to her and how she was getting in the way. He told her that Gabi was the past and he wanted to be with her. Chad talked to Gabi about Jake being with Kate. She didn’t think he would be with her. Chad told her that EJ and Sami were moving in the mansion. Sami and Lucas started arguing in front of EJ. He’s glad that EJ loved her the way she deserved to be loved. Gabi and Sami bonded while they talked. Gabi was willing to be there for her if she needed to talk. They talked about what was going on with EJ and Jake. Gabi went upstairs and ran into Jake. She saw how he came out of Kate’s room. She thought he was going to have sex with her. He said he got out of it. They stated talking about EJ being back home. He thought EJ was back in town to take over DiMera Enterprises. Jake noticed how Gabi was being cold to him. He promised her that he would tell Kate the truth when she could handle her blindness. Gabi didn’t believe he would do it. Jake told her that he loved her. Chad walked in while they were kissing. Chad yelled at them for what they were doing behind Kate’s back. Jake said that he would tell the truth once Kate could handle it. Jake left to get Kate from the hospital. Chad wanted Gabi to move out. They argued over it. Jake arrived to pick up Kate at the hospital. Kate knew their living situation would be awkward. Jake said they would figure something out. Kate wondered how it would be for Gabi. Jake and Kate arrived at the DiMera mansion. She used a cane and sunglasses to get in the room. She “sensed” that Gabi was with them. They ended up snarking at each other. Gabi grabbed for Jake’s butt and left. Kate told Jake she would love to feel his arms around her. She asked him to make love to her. Sami had a dream about being with Lucas and saw EJ in the bed. He wanted to know what she was dreaming about. She lied and said that she was dreaming about him. He told her that it wasn’t a dream because they were back together. He talked about them not having sex with each other. The conversation led to a rehash of their problems. He said he loved her and wanted to be with her. They kissed each other, but she backed away from him. Sami thought sex was the easy part and wanted to work on the rest of their problems. EJ wanted to make her happy. He kissed her again, but she pulled away again. She said her mother had breakfast waiting for them. She went to the bathroom to get dressed. He was upset after she left.

Sami came out the bathroom and saw EJ packing to move to the DiMera mansion. Sami didn’t think it was a good idea for them to stay in Salem. EJ questioned why she wanted to leave the people she loved. John and Marlena talked about EJ and Sami being together again. Marlena informed him that she saw Sami and Lucas kissing. He told her they bonded over being locked up with each other. He thought the situation brought them closer together. Marlena wondered how close they got to each other. EJ heard them talking about Sami and Lucas. Sami walked in after him and was shocked to see them together. Marlena had a cover story to explain why they were talking about them. EJ told them they were moving to the DiMera marriage. Lucas asked Roman if he could rent a room at the pub. Lucas told him that Sami went back to Rome. Roman didn’t think Sami would leave without talking to him. Lucas got upset when he talked about EJ coming back to her. Roman noticed how annoyed Lucas was when he talked about EJ. Roman wanted to know if something happened between him and Sami. Lucas stuttered when he was trying to answer Roman. He got up and left to get his things from the DiMera mansion. EJ and Sami arrived at the DiMera mansion. She left him alone with Chad. EJ wanted to know how he could have stepped down as CEO and allowed Jake to run the company. Tony and Anna arrived while they were talking. EJ wanted to bring down Jake together. He wanted to help Chad get the company back. Tony and Anna turned down the offer. He said he was there because it was the place where his relationship with Ciara started. He thought it was the place to end it. Rafe understood how he felt. He told him about what happened between him and Hope. He realized that if he loved Hope, he would accept that she didn’t want to be in their marriage anymore. Rafe wished him luck. Rafe left the cabin so Ben looked at the divorce papers. Claire talked to Belle and Shawn about Ben. She was worried about him since Ciara gave him divorce papers. They told Claire that Ben had to work things out on his own. They thought she should focus on herself. She said she was fine as long as she didn’t have to think about Jan anymore. Shawn and Belle explained to her that Jan was in a coma and might not come out of it this time. Later on, Claire found Ben at the cabin. Belle went to Jan’s room at the hospital. She recapped what she did. She told Jan she wouldn’t get a free pass for what she did. She noticed the plug that was attached to the machine keeping her alive. She let Jan know that she didn’t get to torment her or her family without paying for her crimes. She said her tricks and tormenting were over. She pulled the plug on Jan. Shawn walked in the room and saw what Belle did. He plugged the plug back in before Jan died. He couldn’t believe Belle was responsible for what happened to Jan. Philip and Chloe showed up to Jan’s room. A nurse arrived to check on Jan. The nurse said Jan was fine. Belle said she pulled the plug to see if Jan was faking. She said that Jan was in a coma three times. She said she faked her condition multiple times.

Shawn said that Kayla checked on Jan and confirmed she was in a coma. Chloe told her that if Jan wakes up, she and Claire would testify against her to make sure she went to jail for years. Shawn thought this would be the end of their problems with Jan. Belle said that nothing would tear them apart again. They walked out of the room and Jan’s finger started moving. Allie and Tripp talked about her plans to work with Chanel. Paulina and Chanel arrived while they were talking. Paulina realized that Chanel tried to stiff Tripp with a big check. They said they were good now. Chanel introduced Paulina to Allie. She let her know that she was her business partner. Paulina thought she should have hired someone of color. Chanel was determined to work with Allie. Allie was nice to Paulina and she liked her. She found out that Tripp was going to be a doctor and she was impressed. She asked if he was going to help her. Jake told Gabi Chad wanted him to stay by Kate. Gabi said she didn’t care what Chad thought. Jake said Chad was right. If he left Kate, he would be the bum everyone thought he was. Chad said he didn’t snitch on his friends. He told Kate he wasn’t going to say anything. He didn’t care what she did to Gabi or Jake. Brady and Philip argued over where Chloe was going to recover. Chloe told them she agreed with Philip. Xander warned Nicole that Eric would never come home once he knows what she did. Chloe told Brady that she would be better off staying with Philip because Victor only called her names. She said Kristen and Jan almost killed her. Brady told her that he wanted her to lean on him. EJ asked Sami what happened between her and Lucas. Chad and Jake talked about Jake telling Kate that he slept with Gabi. Chad told him to break things off with Gabi. Jake wanted to know how he was supposed to break up with Gabi. Chad said he was on his own. Lucas went to see Kate and told him EJ was back. Sami told EJ that nothing happened between her and Lucas. He said he knew Kristen hired Xander to try to kill her. Sami asked if he knew Xander tried to kill her. EJ said he knew Xander from when he was recovering. He said Xander wasn’t a killer. He said he has done a lot and wanted to atone for his sins. He said he would handle Xander.

Xander confronted Dr. Snyder about the drugs he gave Gwen. Kayla asked Gwen about Dr. Snyder. Gwen thought Xander told her what was going on. Kayla didn’t know what she was talking about when she mentioned Xander. Nicole wrote an email to Eric about what she did. When Abe showed up, she lowered the laptop. She talked to him about Eric not being in town. Sami wanted Lucas to wear a wire so he could get Nicole to confess to cheating on Eric. Nicole told Abe that she felt guilty being upset about Eric being gone when he is helping people. Sami told Lucas that Nicole broke her vows and shouldn’t get away with it. He wanted to know what this was about. He asked if it was about Nicole cheating on Eric or her cheating on EJ. Kayla told Gwen that Tripp thought she was upset around Dr. Snyder. Kayla said she would make sure he never bothered her again if he was making her feel uncomfortable. Xander told Snyder that he was pushing pills and making Gwen be his drug dealer. Snyder denied the claim. Xander said he didn’t care what he was doing, but he wanted him to leave Gwen out of it. Snyder said he wasn’t forcing Gwen to do anything. He said she runs errands for him and he would keep her secret about her miscarriage. Xander wanted to know what he was talking about.

Gwen told Kayla that Dr. Snyder didn’t do anything inappropriate to her. Gwen said she appreciated her reaching out considering she doesn’t like her because of Abby. Gwen said Abby caused her to lose her baby. Kayla asked why she thought she was talking about Xander before. Gwen said he was always stirring up trouble. Snyder told Xander that Gwen didn’t tell him the whole story. Xander told him to do it. Snyder said he couldn’t do it. Xander threatened him if he went after Gwen. Nicole told Abe that there were truths in her letter that would ruin her marriage. He asked if she wanted to end her marriage. She said she didn’t. She told him it looked as if things were going well for her and Eric until he left. Lucas called Sami out for cheating on EJ and using Nicole’s affair as an excuse. Sami admitted that she hated what she did to EJ. She said it was easier to hate Nicole instead. She wanted to know what she was going to do when she went home. She said EJ was going to know what she did when she went home. She said Rafe knew she was hiding something. Lucas said she should be honest with EJ. She said he would never forgive her. He told her to tell him that she needed comfort in her life. She said that would explain the first time, but what about the second. Lucas said their lives were in danger. She said she loved EJ and didn’t understand how she could hurt him. Lucas said she was in love with him. Snyder called Gwen and told her to keep Xander away from him or he would tell about her miscarriage. When she got off the phone, Xander was there. Nicole told Abe that her marriage was falling apart. She said marriage wasn’t for her. She said his marriage to Lexie was great. He said their marriage wasn’t perfect. She said it was because of her brother. He said his trust was broken when Lexie cheated. He said she was the love of his life. Nicole asked if it would have been better if he didn’t know about the affair. Abe said the lie would have destroyed their marriage. Sami asked if Lucas thought she was in love with him. He said the chemistry was still there. She said she was in love with EJ. Lucas said EJ pushed her away and shut her off. She said EJ was going to come around. Lucas asked what if he didn’t. He said it took two to make a marriage work. She asked what he was saying. He said they should give it another shot. Gwen confronted Xander about him threatening Snyder. She said it was a problem because he was blackmailing her. She wanted to know how he knew it was Snyder. Xander said he was eavesdropping. He said he went to the hospital and threatened him. She said Snyder would threaten her life. He asked if it was because he knew about her miscarriage. Lucas told Sami that they have been in love with each other since they were kids. He said they were the best versions of each other. He told her he wanted the passion they have again. She said she had a husband. He said he was all in if she was. He wanted to be with her. He said he didn’t care about anything as long as he was with her. Someone knocked on the door. She asked if he thought it was EJ. She opened the door and it was EJ.

Paulina was at her new home and looked over her plans for the town square. Abe showed up with the twins. He told her how much he liked Chanel’s proposal. He was going to make sure it was approved. Paulina thought she was too much of a flake to go through with her business. Abe wanted more info from Paulina and she admitted that she didn’t want to see Chanel fail and get hurt. He advised her about the best way to deal with her. She thought he was right. Chanel walked in Paulina’s house and saw her plans for the town square.
