Abe talked to Marlena about his relationship with Paulina. Lani overheard Paulina talking about the plans she was doing for the town. She didn’t hear the entire conversation, but she heard enough to know she’s keeping something from Abe. She wanted to know what she was keeping from her father. Shawn gave Brady Kristen’s personal effects. He didn’t really want to take them, but he did. He saw a picture of Chloe. They talked about Kristen. Brady said Kristen wasn’t the person he thought. Shawn tried to make him feel better, but he blamed himself for what happened. He admitted he was drawn to Chloe and Kristen had a front row seat to the whole thing. Shawn said that he loved Chloe once. He said it was a long time ago. He also told him that Philip was moving in on Chloe. Philip wanted to have a chance with Chloe. She thought he was pressuring her. He wanted an answer when Belle showed up. Paulina told Lani that she cared about Abe. Lani admitted that she hid something from Eli that almost destroyed them. She didn’t want her father to be hurt the way she hurt Eli. Paulina said she didn’t want to lose Abe. Lani wanted to know what she was hiding.

Abe continued to talk to Marlena about Paulina. She wondered how Lani’s mother would feel about that. Paulina lied to Lani about why she went to Florida. Lani didn’t believe her and wanted to know what she wasn’t telling her. Chloe talked to Belle about Philip. She admitted her feelings for Brady are what’s holding her back from being with Philip. Philip walked in on Shawn encouraging Brady to go after Chloe. Philip wondered if Shawn was still intimidated by him. They argued with Philip about what he did with Belle and Chloe. Philip reminded Brady about the times he had with Chloe. Shawn reminded him that he kept trying to ruin his relationship with Belle. Philip let them know that he knew what he wanted. Belle tried to convince Chloe that she should be with Philip. Abe walked up on Paulina while she told her about her insecurities about the town square. He assured her that she would do a great job. He gave her the zoning permit. He congratulated her for getting the permit.

Jake and Gabi were shocked that Kate was faking being blind. Kate said she overheard them talking about being together when they thought she was in a coma. Jake said he was sorry she heard them. He apologized for not being honest from the beginning. Kate slapped him. She told Gabi that she wasn’t going to hit her. She said being with an unemployed loser was enough punishment. Kate told Jake that his garage might be hiring. Gabi was happy she and Jake didn’t have to sneak around anymore. He said he didn’t want to stay in the mansion anymore and wanted to leave. She was willing to kick everyone out of the mansion. He said it didn’t matter who lived there. He didn’t want to be there anymore. He said he knew how much the mansion meant to her. She said she didn’t want to stay if he didn’t want to.

Chad walked in the office at DiMera and overheard EJ telling Sami that he was the new CEO. Chad asked him if he meant co-CEO. Chad thought EJ had no intention of sharing the position with him. EJ said the idea was a good one, but Chad didn’t trust him. EJ asked if he wanted to work with him or not. Kate walked in the DiMera office. She said she was ready to get back to a normal life. EJ wanted to make her an offer as long as Chad was okay with it. Chad said he was. EJ wanted him to handle it. When EJ left, Kate told Chad about telling Jake and Gabi the truth. Lucas called Sami a doormat for doing what EJ wanted. They ended up arguing. Allie walked in and wanted to know what was going on. Lucas told her they were arguing over EJ. Sami and Lucas argued again. Sami said they needed to stop talking about EJ. Sami ended up leaving. Allie wondered why Lucas hated EJ more than he did before.

Ava told Nicole about Lucas’ conversation with Rafe. She told her how upset Lucas was about EJ being back in Salem. Nicole remembered how upset Lucas was about him being there too. Kate voted against Jake at DiMera. He wanted to talk to Kate, but EJ told him the vote was final. Jake was convinced Chad had something to do with her vote. Ava continued to tell Nicole about Lucas and Sami keeping a secret. Nicole told her that Xander suspected something too. She wanted to prove something happened between them. Lucas wanted to know how Sami was going to stop Kristen from calling Kristen. Gabi asked Kate how she could stab Jake in the back. Mr. Shin said that her vote was legal. He told Jake he had to vacate the building. Jake wanted to get his stuff, but he told him that he couldn’t do it. Jake knew Chad was behind what happened with the vote. Nicole was determined to find out the truth about Sami and Lucas. Sami asked Lucas why he thought Kristen would expose her. He told her the things they did to make Kristen turn on them. Sami thought they weren’t on her mind right now. Mr. Shin congratulated the DiMeras on getting rid of Jake. He wanted to know who was going to take over for him. Kate talked to Stefano’s picture and told him how she got revenge on Jake. He showed up and demanded answers for what she did.

Jake called Kate out on voting against him. He wanted to know what happened. She said Gabi was the reason why she did it. She said that Gabi told her that he was with her out of pity. She never would have done it if it weren’t for Gabi. Gabi walked in the room and couldn’t believe what she said. Chad and EJ wanted to run the company. They ended up arguing about it. Eli talked to Rafe about the possibility of something going on with Nicole. Rafe denied it. Eli reminded him about how much he talked about Nicole. Rafe said Nicole was married to the love of her life. He said he didn’t think he would steal Nicole from Eric. Eli decided to mind his business. Rafe admitted that he was half right about that. Kristen wrote a letter to EJ. She wrote in the letter that Sami cheated on him with Lucas. Lucas tried to convince Sami that Kristen and Nicole might tell EJ the truth. Sami didn’t think it would happen. Lucas had an idea of how to get Nicole to back off for good. Jake yelled at Gabi for what she did to Kate. He said that he was there for her. He wanted her to call Mr. Shin and tell him that she changed her vote. She said she would do it, but he had to pack their things up and get away from Gabi. Chad and EJ continued to argue about running the company. Tony tried to stop them from arguing.

EJ told Sami about the battle for DiMera. He told her that Kristen was his secret ally. Sami said it was a bad idea to get Kristen involved. She asked how he would find her. He said his people already found her. Sami wanted him to find another way to get votes. She said she was afraid that he would get arrested for aiding and abetting. She didn’t want to lose him again. He said he could never say no to her. They started kissing. He stopped her to say he was meeting his brothers. Nicole ran into Lucas at the pub. She started talking to him about Sami accusing her of cheating on Eric. He told her that Sami wanted him to wear a wire to record her confession. Nicole asked why Sami wanted him to help her. He told her things changed between him and Sami when they were trapped together. When Nicole kept asking about it, he wanted to know why she was so interested. Sami walked in the pub when Nicole was trying to explain why she was interested in whether or not Sami had an affair with Lucas. Sami and Nicole ended up arguing with each other. Nicole left the pub. Lucas told Sami to be nicer to Nicole. He said Nicole was trying to expose him. Sami wanted to know what made Nicole suspicious of them.

Tony let Chad know Gabi got Steven Hawk. He said Steven was going to vote with Jake. Tony wanted Chad to try again with Kate. Chad didn’t want to pressure her. Chad said Kate was thinking with her head and not her heart when it comes to Jake. Jake and Gabi found out Peter was voting with EJ. Jake was fine with it because they had Kate’s vote. Kate showed up while they were talking. Jake went to help her. Gabi and Kate argued with each other. When they were finished, Gabi asked who Kate was going to vote for Jake. Kate said she was there for Jake. Gabi told Kate that Jake was with her out of pity. Jake tried to reassure Kate that that wasn’t true. He told Gabi to leave. He said they would meet at DiMera. When Gabi was gone, Jake thanked Kate for standing by him. He said he wouldn’t forget her being there for him. EJ met with Mr. Shin at DiMera. EJ told him about Kate’s connection to the family. EJ said he was back better than ever. EJ said he respected Jake, but he was a placeholder. Chad said he was ready to be back as CEO. Jake wanted to stop wasting time and get on with the vote. Chad, EJ, Tony and Gabi voted. Mr. Shin voted for Jake. Jake and Gabi were happy. Kate had the final vote. She started to say who she voted to remove. Jake and Gabi were shocked.

EJ, Chad and Tony talked about getting g rid of Jake at DiMera. EJ said all they needed were three DiMeras to come forward and say they didn’t have confidence in Jake. EJ said they had to act fast because a new product was about to launch. EJ said there would be nothing left of DiMera or Stefano’ s legacy. The three set their plan in motion. After their meeting, EJ went to see Jake. He told Jake that now that he was back, Jake was out. Jake said he was surprised that he and the others didn’t keep it a secret that they were coming after him. EJ said he gave him a warning just to be courteous. Gabi wanted to talk to Kate about Jake. Gabi said Jake wanted her to feel sorry for her because she was blind and lost her memory. Gabi brought up her walking in on her and Jake making love. Kate thought about Gabi and Jake making love. Gabi told Kate that if she remembered them making love, then she knows how Jake feels. Gabi said Jake felt obligated to stay with her. Gabi said she pitied her. She advised Kate to let him go. Kate and Gabi argued with each other. Kate said she hoped Gabi wouldn’t get bitter once she was rejected. Gabi said she was only going to be in Jake’s bed temporarily.

Sami told Roman that she and EJ were staying in Salem. She said she made a vow to never let anything come between them. Roman asked if she was going to let Lucas come between them. Lucas ended up showing up. Roman noticed the tension between Sami and Lucas. When Lucas left, Roman asked what was going on between them. She said they bonded while they were in captivity. She said their truce was over when EJ came to town. She let Roman know that she and Lucas were arguing again. Roman didn’t believe her. Rafe and Lucas met at the town square. Lucas told him Gabi kicked him out of the mansion. He talked to Rafe about EJ being back in Salem. He let him know that Sami was moving back in the DiMera mansion with EJ. EJ showed up while they were talking. EJ said they needed to figure out how to co-exist with each other. EJ wanted Lucas to limit the amount of time he spent with Sami. Sami showed up and was surprised to see them all together. She wanted to know what was going on. Gabi and Jake talked about the other DiMeras trying to get him. She wanted to help him. While they were planning, Tony and Chad were plotting. Gabi told Jake about the DiMeras. They talked about Kristen and Peter. They said it might come down to Kate’s vote. Chad went to see Kate. He told her he needed her vote. She said she couldn’t give it to him. Chad reminded her that she was pretending to be blind, but she couldn’t vote against Jake. She said she hated Jake. She said voting against him would tip her hand. He told her to grow up. He said she should let EJ grind him in the ground. Chad threatened to expose Kate if she didn’t give him her vote. He said people would think she was desperate. Chad and Tony met in the living room. Tony said he got Theo’s vote. Chad said Kate could go either way. Tony called Peter. Chad told EJ that the votes were close. EJ said it was time to call Mr. Shin.

Gwen let Snyder she delivered his package. He said he would be by later with another one. Jack came in and thought she was upset over Xander. She said Xander’s behavior drove her crazy. Brady overheard Xander talking about his affair with Nicole. They turned around and saw Brady standing there. Brady said Chloe was staying with Philip. Xander couldn’t believe he would let her sleep with the enemy. He said they should fire her. Brady and Nicole said they weren’t doing it. Brady told Xander to take the rest of the day off. He asked Nicole if she was with Xander. He said he overheard what Xander said. She confessed she cheated on Eric. She said she hired Xander so he wouldn’t tell Sami that she cheated on Eric. He wanted to help her. She told him Eric hasn’t been around. Nicole told Brady she couldn’t understand why she cheated on Eric. He said she was being self-destructive. She said she wasn’t hurting herself. She said she was hurting Eric too. She said she didn’t think Eric would get over it. She asked if he was going to tell Eric. He said he wouldn’t say anything.

Snyder went to see Gwen. He said Kayla was looking at her chart. He said he covered her lie about the miscarriage. She thought the leverage he had against her was gone. She said he would be exposed if she were. She told him they were even. He grabbed Gwen. Xander walked in the room. Gwen and Snyder told him to leave. Xander grabbed Snyder and held a letter opener to his throat. Snyder told him to stop. Xander said he lost the only person who would have stopped him from doing this. He said he had no reason to be a good person anymore. Gwen told him to stop. She said she didn’t want Xander to kill him. She said he could be good for Jack. Xander let Snyder go, but he grabbed his chest and collapsed. Gwen checked for a pulse. She said he was dead.

Abe talked to Roman about being with Paulina. He let him know that Lani wasn’t happy about him being with her. Roman tried to make him feel better about it. Roman suggested that Abe talk to Lani about everything. Paulina and Lani talked about Abe. Paulina wanted to know if she was okay with her being with Abe. Lani said it was a long time since Abe was with someone so she didn’t have a problem with them being together. Julie wanted answers from Xander and Gwen about Dr. Snyder being passed out on the couch. Xander came up with an excuse for Julie. She wanted them to get Dr. Snyder off of her couch. Abe went to see Lani to tell her about being with Paulina. Paulina was still there and came out and admit that they made love.

Steve and Kayla talked about the possibility that Gwen was involved with a drug ring. She told him that Gwen was involved with Dr. Snyder. She thought Gwen was involved with stealing drugs from the hospital. Xander and Gwen panicked about moving Dr. Snyder’s body. Jack showed up at the house just when they were about to move him. Lani told Abe and Paulina her blessing. Xander and Gwen managed to hide Dr. Snyder’s body from Jack. They made it seem like they were watching TV. He wanted to join them, but they were nervous about it. Kayla and Steve continued to talk about whether Gwen was selling drugs. Steve wanted to wait to see how involved Gwen was with Dr. Snyder. Nicole warned Xander that Sami was trying to find info to prove that she slept with him. She said if she did find something, he would be out on his butt. He said they needed to find some dirt on her. He thought she might have cheated on EJ the same way she cheated on Eric. EJ wanted to know why Sami didn’t want Lucas to stay at the DiMera mansion. She kept giving him excuses, but he had an answer for her. He told her that he didn’t have a problem with Lucas staying with them. Kate wanted Jake to make love to her. Jake told her that she had to get adjusted to everything. She said she was able to get along just fine. He insisted they wait before being together. She thought it was because of Gabi. He wanted to know why she thought that way. She reminded him how he turned to her and how she was getting in the way. He told her that Gabi was the past and he wanted to be with her. Chad talked to Gabi about Jake being with Kate. She didn’t think he would be with her. Chad told her that EJ and Sami were moving in the mansion. Sami and Lucas started arguing in front of EJ. EJ told her that it was okay for Lucas to stay with them so he could look out for Kate. Xander told Nicole that Sami and Lucas could be together the same way they were together. He explained what happened when he found them in the basement. Nicole told him that they hated each other so it wasn’t likely they would sleep together. Xander believed they did. Gabi wondered how EJ could move in without telling her. He walked in while she was talking and told her that he owned the house before she moved in there. Kate continued to make Jake feel guilty for not wanting to be with her. Lucas told Sami that he was uncomfortable around EJ. He believed he was better for her than EJ. She said that he loved her. He’s glad that EJ loved her the way she deserved to be loved. Gabi and Sami bonded while they talked. Gabi was willing to be there for her if she needed to talk. They talked about what was going on with EJ and Jake. Gabi went upstairs and ran into Jake. She saw how he came out of Kate’s room. She thought he was going to have sex with her. He said he got out of it. They stated talking about EJ being back home. He thought EJ was back in town to take over DiMera Enterprises. EJ thought it was better than he imagined being back in Salem with his wife. He assured her that the bad days were behind them.

Jake noticed how Gabi was being cold to him. He promised her that he would tell Kate the truth when she could handle her blindness. Gabi didn’t believe he would do it. Jake told her that he loved her. Chad walked in while they were kissing. Chad yelled at them for what they were doing behind Kate’s back. Jake said that he would tell the truth once Kate could handle it. Jake left to get Kate from the hospital. Chad wanted Gabi to move out. They argued over it. Jake arrived to pick up Kate at the hospital. Kate knew their living situation would be awkward. Jake said they would figure something out. Kate wondered how it would be for Gabi. Jake and Kate arrived at the DiMera mansion. She used a cane and sunglasses to get in the room. She “sensed” that Gabi was with them. They ended up snarking at each other. Gabi grabbed for Jake’s butt and left. Kate told Jake she would love to feel his arms around her. She asked him to make love to her. Sami had a dream about being with Lucas and saw EJ in the bed. He wanted to know what she was dreaming about. She lied and said that she was dreaming about him. He told her that it wasn’t a dream because they were back together. He talked about them not having sex with each other. The conversation led to a rehash of their problems. He said he loved her and wanted to be with her. They kissed each other, but she backed away from him. Sami thought sex was the easy part and wanted to work on the rest of their problems. EJ wanted to make her happy. He kissed her again, but she pulled away again. She said her mother had breakfast waiting for them. She went to the bathroom to get dressed. He was upset after she left.

Sami came out the bathroom and saw EJ packing to move to the DiMera mansion. Sami didn’t think it was a good idea for them to stay in Salem. EJ questioned why she wanted to leave the people she loved. John and Marlena talked about EJ and Sami being together again. Marlena informed him that she saw Sami and Lucas kissing. He told her they bonded over being locked up with each other. He thought the situation brought them closer together. Marlena wondered how close they got to each other. EJ heard them talking about Sami and Lucas. Sami walked in after him and was shocked to see them together. Marlena had a cover story to explain why they were talking about them. EJ told them they were moving to the DiMera marriage. Lucas asked Roman if he could rent a room at the pub. Lucas told him that Sami went back to Rome. Roman didn’t think Sami would leave without talking to him. Lucas got upset when he talked about EJ coming back to her. Roman noticed how annoyed Lucas was when he talked about EJ. Roman wanted to know if something happened between him and Sami. Lucas stuttered when he was trying to answer Roman. He got up and left to get his things from the DiMera mansion. EJ and Sami arrived at the DiMera mansion. She left him alone with Chad. EJ wanted to know how he could have stepped down as CEO and allowed Jake to run the company. Tony and Anna arrived while they were talking. EJ wanted to bring down Jake together. He wanted to help Chad get the company back. Tony and Anna turned down the offer. Chad said he needed time to think about it.

Steve admitted to Bonnie that he was trying to get over what she did, but she looked too much like Adrienne. He said it made hard to forget what she did to his sister. He missed her even more. Bonnie started crying and left. Justin went after her. Kayla thought he should put his grief and anger aside so he and Justin could repair their relationship. Justin tried to make her feel better about what Steve said to her. She couldn’t get over what he said. Justin didn’t care what Steve thought. He didn’t want her to be Adrienne. He wanted her to just be herself because she was perfect the way she was. He considered her family. She took care of him the way no one else did. He confessed that he loved her. She admitted that she loved him too. They kissed each other.

Paulina was shocked to hear Chanel and Allie talking about kissing each other. Paulina was surprised she didn’t tell her that she was gay. Chanel assured her that she wasn’t gay. She tried to explain her situation to her mother. Paulina said she was trying to understand her. Chanel appreciated her keeping an open mind. Rafe found Ben at the cabin. He said he was there since Ben rescued Claire. Rafe wanted to know why he was there. Ben told him that he couldn’t sign the divorce papers. He said he was there because it was the place where his relationship with Ciara started. He thought it was the place to end it. Rafe understood how he felt. He told him about what happened between him and Hope. He realized that if he loved Hope, he would accept that she didn’t want to be in their marriage anymore. Rafe wished him luck. Rafe left the cabin so Ben looked at the divorce papers. Claire talked to Belle and Shawn about Ben. She was worried about him since Ciara gave him divorce papers. They told Claire that Ben had to work things out on his own. They thought she should focus on herself. She said she was fine as long as she didn’t have to think about Jan anymore. Shawn and Belle explained to her that Jan was in a coma and might not come out of it this time. Later on, Claire found Ben at the cabin. She noticed the divorce papers and wondered what he was going to do. Ben said he was conflicted about what to do. He said it wasn’t time to move on from Ciara. He said he wasn’t done fighting for Ciara. He burned the divorce papers.

Belle went to Jan’s room at the hospital. She recapped what she did. She told Jan she wouldn’t get a free pass for what she did. She noticed the plug that was attached to the machine keeping her alive. She let Jan know that she didn’t get to torment her or her family without paying for her crimes. She said her tricks and tormenting were over. She pulled the plug on Jan. Shawn walked in the room and saw what Belle did. He plugged the plug back in before Jan died. He couldn’t believe Belle was responsible for what happened to Jan. Philip and Chloe showed up to Jan’s room. A nurse arrived to check on Jan. The nurse said Jan was fine. Belle said she pulled the plug to see if Jan was faking. She said that Jan was in a coma three times. She said she faked her condition multiple times.

Shawn said that Kayla checked on Jan and confirmed she was in a coma. Chloe told her that if Jan wakes up, she and Claire would testify against her to make sure she went to jail for years. Shawn thought this would be the end of their problems with Jan. Belle said that nothing would tear them apart again. They walked out of the room and Jan’s finger started moving. Allie and Tripp talked about her plans to work with Chanel. Paulina and Chanel arrived while they were talking. Paulina realized that Chanel tried to stiff Tripp with a big check. They said they were good now. Chanel introduced Paulina to Allie. She let her know that she was her business partner. Paulina thought she should have hired someone of color. Chanel was determined to work with Allie. Allie was nice to Paulina and she liked her. She found out that Tripp was going to be a doctor and she was impressed. She thought he was someone Chanel should be dating. Chanel and Allie talked about Paulina and how her reaction would be if she found out they kissed. Paulina overheard them talking.

She told him that they should give Xander a job there. Brady didn’t want to give him a job. He wanted to know why she wanted to give him a job. Sami wanted Lucas to stop throwing up in her face that they made love. She said EJ told her he changed. Lucas didn’t believe he changed. She said she and Lucas were connected. When he was about to leave, she stopped him. They ended up kissing. Marlena walked in on them.

Marlena interrupted Sami and Lucas when they were kissing. Lucas told Sami to have a safe trip home. He left. Sami told Marlena that she was going home. Marlena said EJ would be happy to see her. She said EJ was in Salem. EJ told Tony about the way he treated Sami after the fire. He said he took his pain out on Sami. He said she was back to her old self when Allie needed her. He said it made him realize what he did to her. Tony asked if Sami was coming back home with him. EJ said she was. Gabi told Jake the right thing to do was tell Kate the truth. He said he would be kicking her while she was down. Chad thought something was suspicious about Kate being blind and amnesiac, but once Jake told him that she forgave him for being with Gabi, he knew something was up. Kate told him she hated him. He said she didn’t. He suggested that she drop the scheme. He said she didn’t connive a man who didn’t want her. She said she didn’t want him back. She said she wanted to punish him. Brady told Xander that he wanted to talk to Nicole. Xander left them alone to talk. He asked her if this had to do with Eric. He said Eric made a mistake and that was why she wanted to hire Xander. Brady wanted to know why Nicole wanted Xander to work for them. She said Brady left her high and dry, but she let him come back. He finally agreed to let Xander to work for them. He asked if she forgave him for sleeping with someone else. She said she knew Gabi for a long time and knew what she was capable of. She said she knew Gabi hurt him and broke his heart. She said he went to Gabi to numb his pain. She said he has been there for her. She said he wouldn’t have given Gabi a second look if Kristen didn’t trick him. She said she acts tough, but she is terrified. He asked her if the doctor came to see her. She said he did. She said he told her that the blindness might be permanent. She talked to him about Eric not being in town. Sami wanted Lucas to wear a wire so he could get Nicole to confess to cheating on Eric. Nicole told Abe that she felt guilty being upset about Eric being gone when he is helping people. Sami told Lucas that Nicole broke her vows and shouldn’t get away with it. He wanted to know what this was about. He asked if it was about Nicole cheating on Eric or her cheating on EJ. Kayla told Gwen that Tripp thought she was upset around Dr. Snyder. Kayla said she would make sure he never bothered her again if he was making her feel uncomfortable. Xander told Snyder that he was pushing pills and making Gwen be his drug dealer. Xander found Gwen’s drugs and she insisted that they were for her pain. He didn’t believe her and called her a drug dealer. He wouldn’t have cared, but he wanted to protect Jack’s reputation. She said she would never sell drugs because her mother was an addict. She told him about her mother, but he didn’t seem to care about what she said. They ended up struggling over the drugs. Jack arrived and saw them fighting. He called them out for acting like children. Jack got a phone call so he left them alone. She admitted to Xander that someone was forcing her to deal drugs. He wanted to know more about her situation. She told him that Jack would be the one to suffer in the end. Jack came back into the room so Xander and Gwen apologized to each other.

Ava approached Sami while she was thinking out loud about Nicole sleeping with Xander. Ava told her that she was wrong about Nicole and should leave it alone. Ava wondered how Sami’s long-distance marriage was going. Sami didn’t want to talk about her marriage to EJ, but she did bring up Charlie. Ava got upset with Sami and told her that she would do anything to go back in time and be a better mother to him. She was sorry for what Charlie did to Allie. Sami softened towards her a little. Jan and Chloe fought over the gun and it went off. Chloe got hit in the arm. Philip rushed to her aid. Jan grabbed the money and threatened to shoot them. Philip threw dirt in her face. He slammed her against the bushes until she passed out. He made a phone call after she passed out. Shawn told Brady about Jan. Philip called him. Shawn and Brady rushed to the hospital. Chloe woke up at the hospital with Philip by her side. He assured her that she would be fine. He said he would have killed Jan before he let her hurt her. Brady arrived and Philip blamed him for what happened to Chloe. Allie got a text from Chanel. Allie thought about their kiss. She said she was okay with her coming over. Chanel arrived and told her about opening a bakery. She wanted to use the Horton donut recipe. She also wanted Allie to work with her. She wasn’t sure she could get the recipe, but she would try to do it.

Julie arrived at Allie’s apartment and introduced her to Chanel. Chanel told her about her plan to open a bakery. She refused to give her the recipe especially once she found out she was married to Xander. Allie reminded Julie about the pot filled donuts at their book club meeting. Julie was embarrassed so she agreed to let them have the recipe. Allie and Chanel celebrated their new business. Gwen was at the hospital and told Dr. Snyder that she delivered the package. Allie was nervous about Kate. Sami assured her that she would make it. They talked about what Sami and Lucas went through in the wine cellar. Sami wanted to stay long enough to see Eric come home. Allie told her that he was going to stay longer. Allie told her how Nicole got wasted and stayed at the Salem Inn when she found out about Eric extending his stay. Sami thought about seeing Nicole with Xander. Sami told her to visit Kate and she would take Henry back to Nicole’s place. Sami called Nicole a liar. Lucas helped Kate eat. He hoped she would get her sight back soon. She thanked him for being there for her. She wondered why Jake wasn’t there. He told her that Jake was there all night. He asked if she was crazy. She said he had the money to help her escape. He asked if she wanted to hurt people again. She said to think about what their father would say. She said he would want them to be family. He said they may be family, but she didn’t condone what she did to Kate. Gabi told Ava that she and Jake were together. Gabi warned Ava not to hurt her brother because she would hurt her. Xander told Rafe that he had a proposition for Nicole. She said Xander wanted a job. Rafe said he kidnapped her and held her in a cage. He said that was resume material. He said there was no way she would hire Xander. She said she was considering it. Marlena brought Susan home. Susan apologized to Brady for what happened. Brady said her heart was in the right place. He said she believed Kristen’s lies. Susan wanted to make it up to him. Chad told Kristen that he knew she was in pain. He told her to find a purpose other than Brady. He told her to think of Rachel and how she’s going to need her. She said she thought about her every day. She said she had to find the good inside herself. He said it was there. He said he would be there for Rachel. Rafe told Nicole that she hated Xander. Nicole said she needed the help. Xander said he had a lot to offer and she would be happy to have him. Rafe thought something was going on more than a job. He wanted to know what it was.

Nicole told Rafe that the job was temporary. She asked him about Chloe. He said there was no word on her. He wanted to know what Xander could do for Brady Black. Nicole said he had experience. Rafe said he tried to kill Sami and Lucas. Susan went to see Kristen. Kristen apologized for her being in prison longer than they agreed. Susan was sorry she agreed to doing the plan. Kristen said she was trying to hang on to Brady. She said she ruined everything. She said she was sorry for what she put Susan through. Susan said she forgave her. Gabi showed up at the hospital. Jake told her she was being out of her coma. She reminded him that he told her he loved her. She asked if he was going to tell her the truth when Kate woke up. He said he was going to tell her. Gabi wanted to know when. He said he hoped she would be understanding about it. Kate woke up out of the coma. She wasn’t able to see anything. Jake wanted to get Kayla. She didn’t want him to leave her. Gabi said she would get her. Kate wanted to know why Gabi was there. Chad went to see Brady. He gave him a note to give to Rachel. Kristen told Susan that she went to extremes because she didn’t want Chloe to steal Kristen from her. Susan said she did that by herself. They talked about Susan being there for Brady and Rachel. Kristen hugged Susan. Kristen ended up knocking Susan out. She said she couldn’t go to prison. Nicole left Rafe and Xander alone so they could talk. Rafe asked him about his role in what happened to Sami and Lucas. Xander said nothing happened. Rafe asked how they got his gun. Xander said they must have stolen it. Rafe said it could be evidence for attempted murder. Xander said not on Sami’s word. Rafe said there would be an investigation. If he was cleared, he would get his gun back. Rafe told him to stay away from Nicole. Kate told Jake she didn’t want Gabi there. He said she was gone. She wanted to know why she couldn’t see. She asked why she was in the hospital. He told her what happened with Kristen. Ava came in and saw Kristen dressed as Susan. Ava told her she wouldn’t get away with it. Kristen reminded her that she would be dead if she didn’t have Rolf bring her back to life. She told Ava that she owed her. Ava said she wasn’t helping her because Rafe would never forgive her. Kristen told her to keep her mouth shut and she would do the same. Rafe came in while Ava was trying to wake up “Kristen.” Rafe said it was Susan. He asked her what happened. He asked Ava if she saw Kristen.

Claire told Jan that something was in the trunk. Jan said no one was in the trunk. While they were talking, Jan told her she hoped Belle was confessing so she could be with Shawn. Claire said she wasn’t going to get him after he kidnapped hi daughter. Claire told her to let her go and take the deal that Belle gave her. They ended up hearing a noise again. Jan told her to pull the car over. Philip told Kristen that she lied about where Chloe was. Kristen said she wasn’t lying. Rafe went to see Sami and Lucas to find out how they got mixed up with Kristen. Jan told Claire she would check the trunk. She threatened to shoot Claire if she tried to leave. Brady asked Kristen what her plan was with Chloe. Kristen said she didn’t know. He asked if she told Xander to shoot her too. Xander wanted Nicole to meet him. He told her he needed money. She said that was his problem. He said Sami was supposed to give him money, but she double-crossed him. She said that was his problem. He said it was her problem because Sami saw them together. She asked if he wanted her to pay him the money. He said she would tell Sami what happened if she didn’t. Rafe asked how Sami and Lucas ended up in Kristen’s crosshairs. Sami said she figured out Kristen wasn’t Susan. Rafe wanted to know why she didn’t say anything sooner. She said Kristen is EJ’s mother. She said once she figured it out, Kristen threatened her. Rafe asked how Lucas got involved. Lucas said he told him about Kate being missing and how he wouldn’t help him. Rafe apologized to him for that and wanted to know what happened next. Lucas said he went to the DiMera mansion to look for Kristen. Rafe was suspicious of Lucas’ statement because of the way he was acting when he came to the police station. He thought Lucas didn’t tell him because he knew it was Kristen. He said Lucas said he couldn’t betray a confidence because the person wouldn’t forgive him. Rafe asked if Sami knew who he was talking about. Nicole told Xander to tell Sami about the affair. He said Sami would tell Eric. She said she would deny the affair. She said no one would believe him. He said she would tell Sami. She said there was no proof that they had sex. He said there was proof. Kristen said she didn’t have a plan for Chloe. Brady wanted to know what she planned on doing to Chloe. Kristen said she was just going for the moment. He said she was trying to kill everyone he loved. She said she needed him to acknowledge something. She wanted to know if he still loved here. Philip went to the police station. He told Shawn that Chloe was missing. Shawn told him he had to find Claire because she was kidnapped by Jan.

Jan found Chloe in the trunk of the car. Jan asked if she wanted her to get her out of the car. Chloe nodded her head. Jan said she wasn’t doing it. Shawn told Philip how Jan killed Charlie and kidnapped Claire. Nicole told Xander he was bluffing about someone knowing about them. He said someone was in the bathroom the day she came looking for her ring. She wanted to know who was listening to them. Kristen told Brady he had a right to be mad at her. She said she was out of control. She said she did everything because she loved him. She said she couldn’t live without him. She asked him if he loved her. He said he did. Rafe asked Lucas if he was protecting Sami. Rafe figured out that Kristen had something on her. He wanted to know what it was. She said he could get Kristen for other things. She said they had nothing for him. Rafe wanted Sami and Lucas to help him. Rafe reminded Sami of what she did when he tried to help Allie when she was accused of killing Charlie. Sami said she didn’t know anything that could help him find Chloe. She asked him if he talked to Xander. Nicole wanted to know who the witness was. Xander said he wasn’t saying anything without money. She said she didn’t have any money. He said there was another thing she could give him. She wanted to know what he wanted from her. He said a job. Philip asked Shawn to let him see the security footage so he could find Chloe. Jan told Chloe that she wasn’t going to shoot her. Claire tried to leave the car, but Jan came back too soon. Jan asked if she was going somewhere. Claire said she scared her. Claire asked what was in the trunk. Jan said a stowaway. Kristen said Brady’s love for her made her okay. He said he loved her, but he couldn’t be with her anymore. Claire asked Jan how the person got in the trunk. Jan said she didn’t have time to deal with her and Chloe. Claire said Chloe could suffocate in the trunk. Jan didn’t care what happened to Chloe. Brady told Kristen that he hated what she did. She said she changed. He said he thought she did. He told her he was raising their child alone. She said she understood why she went to prison. He said he understood what she did because they were a team, but she went rogue. He told her he reassured her about his love, but she didn’t believe him. He reminded her of the things she has done. She said she did everything because she loved him. He said he didn’t want to be loved like that. She wanted to know what he meant. He said she did too many things and he didn’t want to do it anymore. She asked him not to give up on her. She said she couldn’t blame everything on her because he admitted to having feelings for Chloe. Kristen said Chloe was trying to convince him that he was better off without her. She said the plan worked. He said his feelings for Chloe had nothing to do with why he couldn’t be with her. He said she was the reason. Nicole told Xander she couldn’t give him a job. She said Brady hated him more than she did. He said he could replace Chloe. Nicole wouldn’t go for it. He said he would tell Sami what they did. Nicole said she wouldn’t believe it. He said it didn’t matter. He said Sami would tell Eric. Rafe warned Sami and Lucas that whatever it was they were hiding was going to come out. Kristen wanted Brady to give her another chance. She asked him to think about their daughter. He said he was thinking about Rachel. He said as long as he’s with her, she would always be a threat. He said it broke his heart. He said he had to do it for his family. He told her it was over for good. While Philip and Shawn were looking at the security footage, Philip saw Kristen put Chloe in the trunk. They also saw Jan and Claire in the car. Claire begged Jan to let Chloe go. Jan said Chloe would sell her out to the police.

Lucas told Brady that Kate was in a coma because of Kristen. Philip confronted Kristen about what she did to Kate. He told her the police weren’t going to give her a deal. Xander told Sami that the money EJ sent him was gone. Ben told Shawn and Belle that Jan kidnapped Claire. Claire tried to convince Jan not to shoot her. Jan told Claire that she did care about her. She said Claire might be worth more to her alive than dead. Claire said she wouldn’t tell anyone she killed Charlie if she let her go. Jan flashed back to when she killed Charlie. Shawn realized he could track Claire’s phone. Ben said Claire’s car was in the driveway so she couldn’t have gotten far. Xander told Sami that she promised him $10 million. She said the deal was null and void now that Kristen was in prison. He said he wanted the money. She refused to give it to her. Lucas told Brady that they needed to find Chloe. Brady brought up that Lucas lied about having a brain tumor. Brady wanted to know why he did that. Lucas wanted to concentrate on finding Kristen. Brady assumed he was working with Kristen. Lucas said Kristen locked him and Sami up and had Xander try to kill them. Brady said he didn’t know that. Lucas said Brady was just as guilty. Philip told Kristen that Trask wasn’t giving him a deal. When Kristen started messing with him about Chloe being in love with Brady, he threatened to make her shut up. Brady showed up while Philip was choking her. Brady said he would get the truth out of her. Philip said he would get the truth out of her himself. When Philip left, Kristen apologized for running Brady off the road. He didn’t know what he was talking about. She said she was the one who ran him off the road. Xander asked if Sami was going to kill EJ. She said he didn’t earn the money. He said he earned it by not killing her. She said the police knew he was trying to kill her. He said he wanted the money. She told him to kill her. He said he would. Belle wanted to know what Jan was going to do to Claire. Jordan showed up to Ben again.

Jordan told Ben that she couldn’t leave him alone for an hour. She said Claire was going to die. He said he was going to find her. Jan called Shawn. She told him that she figured out she wasn’t going to keep their date. She said she thought the date wasn’t sincere. He said he knew she talked to Dr. Snyder. She said he tried to trick her into confessing. She said she had his daughter. He asked her not to take it out on Claire. She said Belle turned him against her like she always did. She told him to put Belle on the phone. Kristen told Brady that Kate attacked her when she found out she wasn’t Susan. He said he found out what he did to Lucas. He said he couldn’t believe he thought she changed. She said she would be away from him and Rachel if she didn’t get the deal. He wanted her to tell him where Chloe was if she loved him. Sami told Xander that Kristen would be facing murder 1 if he killed her. He said he would kill her anyway. Lucas showed up to stop him from shooting her. Kristen told Brady she was right about his feelings for Chloe. He said Chloe was going to be away from Parker. Kristen said she would be away from Rachel if she didn’t get the deal. He told her she didn’t love him enough to make a deal. He said he would see her at the trial. She told him she loved him enough to tell him where Chloe was. Belle told Jan to take her instead of Claire. Jan said she didn’t want to spend another minute with her. Belle said she would confess to killing Charlie and she could have Shawn. Jan wanted to know the catch. Belle said Jan had to let Claire go and she would confess. Sami was willing to let Xander go if he agreed not to say anything. Xander agreed not to say anything. Lucas wanted to know why she let him go. She said they had bigger thing to worry about than Xander. She said EJ took the money back that he sent. Lucas wanted to know why. She said EJ thought she was using it to save herself. She was afraid that EJ knew the truth about them. Kristen told Philip and Brady where Chloe was. Philip went to look for Chloe. Brady told Kristen he would never forgive her if something happened to Chloe. Jan told Belle that she would think about her offer. Jordan asked Ben why he wanted to help Claire. He said he wanted to help her. She told him to remember that he wasn’t a decent human being. Kristen told Brady that she made a mess out of everything, but she did it out of love. He asked if that was love. She asked him if he still loved her. Philip came back and said the car wasn’t there. Lucas asked Sami how EJ could have found out about them. Sami said Kristen must have told him. Lucas said EJ would have been there if he found out about them. Someone knocked on the door. Sami said he was there.

Gwen pulled out the pills Dr. Snyder gave her. She saw Chad looking at her. She said they were painkillers. Chad said Jack asked him to check on her. He asked if there was anything he could do for her. She told him to stop feeling sorry for her. She said to go home to Abby. He said Abby left town. Gwen apologized for Abby leaving town. She said she would tell everyone that Abby didn’t push her down the stairs. She said she was was happy when she was pregnant. He said he was sorry that she lost the baby. She said she thought she would be good at being a mother. She said the baby would be her family. When Chad left, Gwen called Dr. Snyder and asked about the pills. He told her to do what he said. Ben saw Jordan waiting for him. She said she was his guilty conscience. She asked why he was cheating on his wife. She told him about kissing Claire. She said Ciara left town with Theo because he was a killer. She told him about finding comfort with the woman who tried to kill his wife. He said he would never give up on Ciara. Jan called Shawn while she pointed a gun at Claire. She told him she would meet him later.

Jan told Claire that Shawn and Belle tricked her into admitting that she killed Charlie. She told Claire that she snuck out of the hospital on Valentine’s Day. She said she saw Shawn give Belle the red coat. She said she saw Claire and Belle arguing with Charlie. She said she came up with the idea to kill Charlie when Belle threatened him. Jan said she stole Belle’s coat and went to Charlie’s place. She said she found the gun and shot him. She said she hid when she heard John. She said she ripped the button off Belle’s coat. She continued to tell Claire how she set up Belle. Jordan gave Ben a pen to sign the divorce papers. He threw the papers. He said there was nothing she could say that would change his mind. She told him to check his voicemail. He heard Claire’s message and left. Dr. Snyder told Belle that Jan was on to her and Shawn. Belle went to Shawn’s room at the Salem Inn. They thought Jan kidnapped Claire. Ben went to Claire’s house and saw it empty. He asked what Jan did to her.
