Sonny, Nikolas, Spencer and Carly remember Courtney on the anniversary of her death. Spencer is upset that he can’t put flowers on his mother’s grave this year because he is stuck in Spring Ridge. Spencer asks Victor to get him a furlough so that he can go put flowers on his mother’s grave. Spencer runs into Trina later at the cemetery and she wonders how he got out of Spring Ridge.

Esmė notices that Trina and Josslyn are still arguing so she sends the video of Cameron and Josslyn having sex to everyone on Tina’s contact list during a class at college. The teacher gets annoyed and wonders why everyone is looking at their phones. Esme sends the video to the classroom projector screen.

Laura, Ava, Drew, and Sam devise a plan to make Victor think he can gain access to Drew’s memories.

Sasha and Brando enjoy their romantic vacation at Niagara Falls and Sasha surprises Brandon by telling him they should get married tonight.

Jack and Phyllis arrive at Keemo’s house and it is empty but it looks like someone has been packing up Keemo’s things. Jack finds a large stack of letters that Keemo wrote to him but never mailed. Jack reads through some of the letters and discovers that Keemo finally forgave him for keeping his mother’s illness a secret from him. Keemo didn’t want to risk having a relationship with Jack because he feared his anger towards him would return. Keemo took his grandfather’s name as a way to honor his mother and make peace with his past. Phyllis also finds a picture of two women and a little girl with the words Vietnam 2012 written on the back of it.

Victoria demands that Nick, Nikki, and Victor tell her what they are keeping from her. Victor tells Victoria that they are worried about her and that she should hold off on Ashland being given a new title until they make sure he is feeling better. Victoria demands that all three of them stop questioning her decisions and leave her and Ashland alone.

Nick sees Victoria and Ashland at Crimson Lights later in the day and almost tells Victoria the truth about Ashland, but Sharon stops him saying it will only make his relationship with Victoria worse. Ashland tells Nate that he has been feeling lightheaded and tired and he is on his way to see his oncologist.

Nate sees Victor and Nikki later and Victor asks him if he thinks Ashland looks heathy. Nate tells Victor that Ashland seemed under the weather.

Ashland gets a text message from someone, and after reading the message he tells Victoria he has to tell her something about her father.

Anna and Diesel decide that they are not exactly friends, but they are not enemies anymore because they have found common ground.

Maxie makes a date with Austin because she wants to find out if her feelings for him are real or she just had feelings for him because he helped her when she was in a crisis.

Britt tries to persuade Nina not to go to court to get visitation rights with Wiley because she may end up making an enemy of Sonny and Michael. Britt also reminds Nina that Wiley may be emotionally hurt by the court battle. Nina tells Britt that Willow has left her no choice but to go to court.

Cameron talks to Stella and reminds her of the envelope that a waitress at Kelly’s threw away in the commotion that happened when she had her stroke. Stella remembers giving Cameron the envelope to put in the mail for her but she doesn’t remember that Curtis and Jordan’s divorce papers were in the envelope.

Jordan puts on a brave face when Curtis and Portia tell her they are buying a house and moving in together but when she walks outside of the Savoy she starts to cry.

Betsy tells Dante, Elizabeth, Finn, and Sam that she isn’t responsible for all of the strange incidents that have been happening to Elizabeth because she has been under surveillance by the psychiatric hospital since Thanksgiving and was just recently released from the hospital. Elizabeth notices a sketch of Franco that she has never seen before that was drawn by Jake. The sketch of Franco is right next to the portrait of her that Franco painted.

Chance meets with his therapist for the first time and tells him he feels he can’t connect with Dominic because of what happened to him in Spain. Chance and Abby let Devon take Dominic to his place for the night.

Ashland tells Victoria that Victor had some concerns about him being named Co-CEO of Newman Locke. Ashland starts having shortness of breath which keeps Victoria from signing the contract to name Ashland Co-CEO. Ashland calls someone on the phone and orders the person to kill anyone who is talking to Michael Baldwin.

Victoria is angry with Victor for questioning her decision about Ashland and not letting him run the company of which he is co-owner.

Sally wonders who will run Newman Locke if Victoria gets distracted by her marital troubles. Adam admits to Sally that he had not thought about that possability.

Victoria comes out of her office angry when Nick arrives and assumes that Victor told her about Ashland’s scheme. Nick tells Victoria that he just learned the information about Ashland, and he had no idea Victor was going to tell her everything. Victoria is confused and wonders what Victor was supposed to tell her about Ashland.

Marshall tells Curtis that he couldn’t take the job at Aurora Media because forty years ago he spent time in jail for a crime and his criminal record was sealed. Marshall leaves Curtis so he can talk to Drew to find out if the job is still available for him.

Maxie tells Austin she is ready to move on with her life now that her ordeal with Peter has ended.

Finn tells Jake that he doesn’t want to replace Franco and he hopes he can have his own relationship with him and his brothers.

Spinelli tells Sam that Betsy Frank was put on a 72-hour psychiatric hold for punching a state trooper in New York.

Betsy tells Elizabeth that she hasn’t been honest with her and needs to tell her the truth.

Mariah and Tessa are still struggling to find a theme for their wedding but are confident that the theme will come to them and they will have a wonderful wedding.

Nick and Sharon are worried that Noah is staying out late at night and drinking. Noah tells his parents he wasn’t drinking, he just went out with a former girlfriend and they talked all night.

Victor tells Adam and Nick all the information Michael found out about Ashland that proves that he never had cancer. Victor wants Adam and Nick to help him with his plan to protect Victoria and make sure Ashland stays out of the company and away from Victoria. Nick doesn’t want to risk further damage to his relationship with Victoria so he tells Victor to call him when he needs him. Nick later talks to Sharon about everything and he decides he needs to help Victoria.

Victor talks to Ashland who denies faking his illness but Victor tells him to quit lying because he knows the truth. Victor tells Ashland that he will tell Victoria that his cancer has returned and he will head down to Peru alone to get treatment. Once Victor thinks enough time has passed he will have Ashland call Victoria and tell her he wants a quick divorce.

Adam distracts Victoria for a while by talking about Newman Media business so she won’t return to her office but she gets bored and heads back to Newnan Locke. Ashland tells Victor his plan won’t work because Victoria will only follow him to Peru and try to persuade him not to divorce him.

Victoria arrives and is worried when her office door is locked, and she calls Ashland’s name and wonders if he is in there and why the office door is locked.

Drew interviews Marshall for a job at Aurora Media but Marshall turns down the job because he doesn’t want to do a background check. Drew later calls Curtis to tell him that Marshall refused a background check for the job.

Michael apologizes to Chase for misjudging his relationship with Brook Lynn when he pretended to be Bailey’s, father.

Carly files her divorce papers and Olivia and Sam take her to throw an axe and drink beer to let off some steam.

Elizabeth calls the police when she finds the portrait that Franco painted of her hung in her house when the painting was supposedly destroyed in the fire at Franco’s studio. Elizabeth tells Dante about all the strange incidents that have been happening lately and that she suspects Franco’s mother Betsy is behind the strange incidents. Finn decides to stay at Elizabeth’s place until Dante gets more information about who may be stalking Elizabeth.

Michael and Willow talk and Willow tells him that Nina talked to her a few days ago and Nina asked to see Wiley without telling her that she had slept with Sonny. Michael wants to wait and think about whether Nina should see Wiley. Nina talks to Willow later and asks if she can see Wiley on Saturday. Nina and Willow have a long-heated discussion in which Willow tells Nina that she doesn’t trust her right now and she should wait until things settle down a bit before she can visit Wiley. Nina reminds Willow that as Wiley’s biological grandmother she does have legal rights and she intends to go to court if Michael and Willow don’t let her see Wiley.

Jack tells Billy and Traci about the mysterious texts he has been getting, telling him to go to Los Angeles, and giving him an address where he should go when he arrives in Los Angeles.

Jack also tells Billy and Traci that he hasn’t spoken to his son in years because Keemo never forgave him for not telling him that his mother was very ill. Jack also tells Billy and Traci that he plans to go to Los Angeles to find out who is sending him these texts and try to get closure about Keemo’s death. Billy and Traci want to go with him but Jack, asks Phyllis to go with him on the trip.

Victor tells Adam and Nick that Michael has found two doctors who worked at the clinic in Peru that both say that Ashland was never sick, and that he paid the clinic to falsify his medical records.

Nick is worried about Victoria, and how hurt she will be by this news. Victor assures Nick that he will handle Ashland and try to minimize Victoria’s pain.

Nikki is able to persuade Victoria to tell Victor before she signs the contract to make Ashland co CEO. Nikki makes it clear that if Victoria doesn’t tell Victor she will tell him because he needs to know before such a major decision is made about the company.

Ashland gets a call from his doctor asking him if he gives anyone permission to look at his medical records. Ashland tells his doctor nobody has his permission to see his medical records.

Victoria: So, what should i do, dad? Should I tie him to a chair? Lock him in the office? What?

Victor: Try to make him feel welcome and appreciated and respected.

Victoria: Oh, I see. So, you want me to stroke his fragile ego.

Victor: My darling, let me teach you a little lesson. As CEO, you need to be able to deal with the entire executive staff, even with people who disagree with you, alright? And you tell Ashland about that, as well.

Ashland: I’m suggesting that we change my title. Now, advisor made sense when we were first merging the companies. There was little hope then that I could do anything else.

Ashland: It will matter to other people, especially when I start taking on more responsibility. Don’t you see that? That’s why I was so upset on the phone before — because that was the legal department. They were giving me a hard time about — about making a small change on a relatively unimportant matter.

Victoria: Well, who are you dealing with? I will call them, and I will explain the situation.

Ashland: No, no, no. I really don’t want you to do that. I need to be respected on my own right, in this building and out there in the world. And that’s what a title does. It will also send a message that I’m not some sickly old man on his way out.

Victoria: Oh, come on. I think you’re making a big deal out of a very small issue. It’s obvious that you’re the strong, smart businessman that you’ve always been.

Ashland: No. That reputation you just described — I lost that because of the illness. I need to get that back if I’m gonna operate at full capacity. I am proposing that we change my title to co-CEO. Now, we can have a provision in there in case something goes wrong, if my condition changes and I need to step back or, God forbid, step out entirely. But this makes sense. What do you think? Shaun tells Alexis that he wants to buy the west coast newspaper that Aurora Media is selling but since the newspapers are on the west coast he wants to move there for a while to get the newspapers transitioned to his ownership.

Shaun wonders if he and Alexis have a romantic future. If they do, he would stay in Port Charles. Alexis tells Shaun that since Neil’s death she has closed the romantic part of her life. Shaun and Alexis conversation is interrupted by Sam who tells them both Peter is dead.

Carly tells Drew that she and Sonny are getting a divorce. Drew tells Carly that Peter is dead and, Carly decides to go to Sonny’s penthouse to tell him the news.

Sonny wants to explore the feelings he and Nina have for each other but Nina thinks that the kiss was a mistake because Sonny is very vulnerable right now. Nina is about to leave when Carly arrives and is upset to see Nina at Sonny’s penthouses.

Liz tells Finn about the strange incidents with her wedding ring, her wedding dress, and Betsy Frank’s sympathy card. Liz calls Betsy later and asks her to come to Port Charles so they can talk.

Harmony tells Willow that she was able to get a copy of her birth certificate and she should receive it in a couple of weeks. Shaun sees Harmony talking to a drug dealer and forger but he doesn’t know that Harmony is paying the guy to forge Willow’s birth certificate.

Nate tells his family he has decided to leave medicine and go into the business world. .Nate tells Devon that even though Lily offered him a job at Chancellor Industries and he offered him a job at Hamilton Winters he is taking the job Ashland offered him at Newman Locke.

Abby, Chance, and Devon are relived when the doctor tells them that Dominic’s recovery is going well.

Chance makes an appointment to see a therapist Sharon recommended to him.

Phyllis helps Jack find out more information about Keemo and Jack is heartbroken to learn that Keemo died.

Ashland tells Victoria that since he is feeling better, he wants to take a more active role in the company. Ashland thinks that in order to get the respect he deserves he should be named Co-CEO of Newman Locke. Victoria is hesitant to give Ashland more work to do at the company because she is worried about his health but Ashland assures her that work makes him feel better. Victoria ignores Victor’s advice to be on her guard with Ashland since he is feeling better and, she agrees to name Ashland Co CEO of Newman Locke.

Victor tells Nikki everything Michael found out about Ashland. Nikki worries that Victoria will be angry with Victor, and it will cause a rift in the family. Victor assures Nikki he intends to protect Victoria.

Adam tells Victor he has decided not to quit his job at Newman Media. Victor is happy to hear that because all hell is about to break loose.

Chance: Well, if it’s any consolation, I am a complete wreck inside. This peaceful exterior is just to keep this one relaxed.

Abby: And I am doing the same for Chance’s benefit.

Amanda: I really admire you inviting us into your home like this. I want you guys to remember that this will not be the first event in Dom’s life that you guys get to share together. There will be birthdays and playdates and holidays and little league games.

Devon: It feels great to imagine him making a full recovery and experiencing all those things.

Amanda: I really am humbled and touched by the bond that you guys share. And I know that it’s just gonna grow as Dom gets older. You guys are coming together for the sake of your child, and I am proud of you. I am proud to know all of you. I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I got a little deep.

Ava and Carly agree to keep Avery and Donna in each other’s lives, as much as possible, so they don’t suffer too much when Carly and Sonny officially divorce. Ava agrees to allow Carly see Avery because Avery loves Carly too.

Nina tells Sonny he shouldn’t be drinking so much because of the medication he takes for his bipolar disorder. Sonny and Nina argue about the drinking for a while and then Sonny tells Nina he and Carly are getting a divorce. Sonny thanks Nina for her concern and for driving him home last night and then Sonny and Nina kiss.

Drew puts his plan in motion to find out more about Marshall when he offers Marshall a job at Aurora Media. Aunt Stella asks Portia to keep an eye on Marshall because Marshall could hurt Curtis.

Anna feels guilty for not calling an ambulance for Peter and watching him die. Robert reminds Anna that, she tried to help Peter change when he was alive but he was unable to change and he hurt too many people. Robert advises Anna to give all that love she had for Peter when she thought she was his mother, and give that love to someone who deserves it.

Maxie goes straight from the airport to pick up Louise. Maxie decides that from now on the baby will be named Bailey Louise. Maxie also tells Brook Lynn that Bailey will call her mama Brook Lynn and she will be mommy. Maxie thanks Brook Lynn, Chase and Ned for everything they did to keep Bailey safe. Brook Lynn stays strong until Maxie leaves with Bailey and then she cries while Ned holds her.

Nate asks Lily for advice about whether he should accept Ashland’s job offer and she asks him to come and work for Chancellor Industries.

Lily tells Billy to go ahead with his idea for a nighttime podcast and Billy assures Lily that he can handle his duties as Chief Operating officer and the podcast.

Victoria has a conversation with Sally and she figured out that Adam and Sally have a personal relationship. Victoria later tells Ashland about her talk with Sally and they both decide that Adam’s relationship with Sally will distract him so much that he will make mistakes at Newman Media. Victoria and Ashland plan to wait until Adam makes mistakes at Newman Media in order to fire both him and
Sally.

Michael has a video call with Victor and tells him that he has got the doctor that used to work at the clinic in Peru where Ashland is being treated, on video, saying that Ashland paid clinic doctors to falsify his medical records. The doctors were paid to say that Ashland had cancer when he is perfectly healthy. Victor asks Michael to follow the money trail and send him documentation.

Victor gets upset with Adam when Adam tells him he will not spy on Ashland for him.

Sonny advises Brando to have a getaway with Sasha so they can reconnect with each other. Sasha runs into her friend that was a model and the person who used to give her pills when she needed a pick me up. Sasha tells her friend that she doesn’t take pills anymore. Sasha’s friend tells her that she knows where to find her in case she needs a pick me up. Sasha agrees to go to Niagara Falls with Brando and later asks her friend to give her something to get through the next few days.

Sonny gets drunk and leaves Nina a message and she coincidentally arrives at Charlie’s before he is about to leave and drive home.

Drew and Anna arrive at the embankment where they find Felicia and Maxie. Drew checks Peter for a pulse. Peter has a faint pulse Anna tells Drew, Felicia, and Maxie to leave while she waits with Peter for an ambulance. Anna tells Peter that she didn’t call an ambulance and she waits until he dies. Anna tells everyone that Peter has died and Felicia calls home to tell Mac the news that Maxie is safe and Peter is dead. Maxie ‘s friends and family celebrate the news that Maxie is safe and her ordeal has finally ended. Brook Lynn and Chase are so happy Maxie and Louise are safe and they finally give in to their feelings for each other and kiss. Brook Lynn and Chase head home to spend their last night with Louise.

Robert’s WSB contacts confirm that Victor spent time in Austria before he returned to Port Charles. Laura notices that the date Victor was in Austria is around the same time of Luke’s accident, so she tells Robert and Sam that she thinks Victor killed Luke and that Luke’s death wasn’t an accident.

Carly, and, Sonny finally agree on terms for a divorce after a long negotiation. Carly will keep the house where she will live with Donna. Sonny and Carly will have joint custody of Donna and Sonny will live at the penthouse.

Sam and Joseph get into an argument over Trina and what Trina means to Spencer. Esme gets angry and uploads a video she took of Cameron and Josslyn having sex to Trina’s phone and later uses Trina’s phone to post the video to the internet.

Maxie gets away from Peter and makes it to the road. Maxie flags down a car and it turns out to be Felicia. Felicia and Maxie are getting away from Peter when Peter’s car crashes into them. Maxie leads Peter away from Felicia’s rental car since Felicia is unconscious. Maxie climbs down a small bridge to the ground below. Peter tells Maxie to climb back up to him and return to their house or he will shoot her. Maxie tells him she would rather die than go back with him so he can, go ahead and shoot her. Felicia comes up behind Peter and kicks him over the bridge.

Chance, Abby, Devon, and Amanda spend the evening worrying about Dominic and eating Chinese food together. Chance tells Devon that he doesn’t think he will ever have the bond with Dominic that he and Abby have with him. Devon tells e Chance that a fatherly bond has nothing to do with biology it just happens by spending time together. Devon explains that Neil adopted him when he was a teenager and e they had a very close father and son bond. Devon tells Chance that he thinks he will have a strong father and son bond with Dominic he just needs to give it time.

Nate asks Victor for his advice about Ashland’s job offer to work at Newman Locke. Victor tells Nate to consider if he really wants to give up medicine and switch to a career in business.

Phyllis and Jack tell Traci about the strange text messages that he has been getting telling him to go to Los Angeles. Phyllis tells Traci that they suspect Jack’s son Keemo has been sending him the text messages. Phyllis and Traci advise Jack to call Keemo because he might be trying to reach out to him. Jack is forced to admit that he has been lying to everyone for years and that when Keemo mother Laun died Keemo told him that he didn’t want to have a relationship with him.

Jack has drinks with Victor and after a talk with him Jack decides to go to Los Angeles and find out who has been sending him the text messages.

Lauren: Aww, look at that. Is this his first time on skis?

Jack: Oh, yeah. Apparently Harrison is a natural. Summer was terribly worried, and Kyle found the perfect instructor. Before the day was over, my grandson was bombing down the beginner slope. Here’s another.

Lauren: Oh, my, so much fun. They grow so fast.

Jack: Oh, I know. I feel like I’m missing out on so much.

Lauren: But Summer and Kyle send you pictures.

Jack: Oh, yeah, yeah. We video chat all the time. Last week, Harrison wanted to impress his grandpa Jack with the Italian he’d learned. It was priceless. “Aree-bo-dirtsi.”

Phyllis: Oh, I know that, i know that. It’s… do I want to do it? Do I want to? I mean, I could learn everything about the fashion industry, but I don’t know if I want to. It’s a lot to consider.

Jack: Well, you have been saying there’s nothing that ties you to Genoa City any longer.

Phyllis: Yeah, that’s what I’ve been saying. But there is one element that i forgot about — myself. I mean, Genoa City is my home. My life is rooted here. It’s made me the person I am, for better or for worse. And did I want to go to Milan and change me? That was the question.

Jack: Sounds pretty well thought out.

Phyllis: Yeah. It took me going to Italy to figure it out.

Jack: Well, to be honest, before you left, it was everything in me not to tell you exactly the same thing. I figured you had to learn that for yourself or you wouldn’t accept it.

Billy: You know what? I got too much going on right now. So I will sleep when I’m old.

Billy: I appreciate your concern, but really, it’s not a big deal. You know, it just — it feels like lately that’s where I’m getting most of my thinking done, where I’m feeling creative. I don’t know, maybe it’s the darkness, maybe it’s the fact that everyone’s sleeping and it’s actually quiet.

Devon: Aren’t you exhausted when you go to work the next day, though?

Billy: Well, that’s the thing. It can be a little bit tricky, but it’s nice to work from home. Sneak in a little nap once in a while. Who knows, maybe I’ll turn out to be nocturnal.
