Chloe stops herself from kissing Stefan. He told her Brady wasn’t wasting time moving on from her so she could move on from him. She agreed with him. When he got closer to her, she asked him how it would look to HR if they started dating each other. He said they were on equal ground at work. All they had to do was let HR know about it. He said he was ready to let the world know how he felt about her. He asked if she was ready. She said she didn’t care what people thought. She asked if his feelings for her were real or if someone put them there. He said Gabi believed Rolf’s hands were clean. He said he believed it too. He said he was confused about things lately, but he wasn’t confused about her. He said he wanted to take his second chance at life with her. He wants to make her forget about Brady. He wanted to take her wherever she wanted to go. She agreed to go with her. Wendy and Johnny hoped that finding Ned (the pilot) would lead them to Rolf. Johnny wanted to call Tony and ask him about Ned. She said Tony could be in on it with EJ. Johnny thought she was right. He said Anna had a soft spot for him. EJ talked to Tony about Stefan being brainwashed. Tony was furious. EJ told him not to tell anyone. He said he couldn’t tell Anna. EJ said they were protecting Stefano’s legacy. Tony wasn’t sure how to feel.

Anna went to Allie’s apartment to meet Johnny and Wendy. They told her about Stefan being brainwashed. Anna said she knew what it was like to be manipulated so she called Ned. She told him Tony died and she needed to bring Rolf back from the dead. Ned said he was in Jakarta. After Anna left, got online and made it look as if the jet was being serviced so no one would see where they took it. Ava and Charlie talked about their plan. Xander texted her and told her he had Susan. Charlie told Ava to make her demands to EJ. She said EJ couldn’t know she was behind it. She said she wouldn’t see Tripp again if she had to go on the run. Charlie said the Johnsons were Tripp’s family now. He said he was all Ava had. He told her to make sure EJ knew she was behind what was going on. He said once they get the money from EJ, they could take Henry somewhere where no one would find him. She liked the idea. Xander put Susan in the garden shed. He tied her to a chair and put a sack over her head. She asked him to take it off. He put on a clown mask before he took off the sack. He left the shed and called Ava. He told her to get their money. He went back to Susan. She said he wasn’t evil. She said he was sad. She said she didn’t think he wanted to do this. He said what he wanted wasn’t relevant. He said no one would get hurt as long as EJ did what he was supposed to do. Ava called EJ. She told him Susan was being taken care of. She said if he did what he was supposed to, he would have his mother back in one piece.

Li complimented Chloe’s performance. He wanted her to work for DiMera. Brady said Chloe deserved it, but he thought Kristen put him up to it. Li told him Kristen didn’t work for DiMera anymore. He said the offer was legitimate. Nicole didn’t like the idea of modeling with Eric. Alex said they looked good together. He said he would take the test shots. He walked out of the room. She told Eric about her concerns about the shoot. She was worried about Rafe. Eric said he wouldn’t do it if she gave the word. Li tried to convince Chloe to take the job. She thought Stefan put him up to it. He said Stefan moving on with her would benefit him, but this was about business. He said Stefan didn’t know about it. She said she was proud of the work she and Brady did at Basic Black. Brady said they made a great team. She said they did make a great team, but she was ready for something new. She told Li she would take the job. Li was happy and left. Brady told Chloe that he didn’t want things to be like this. She wanted to know what he was trying to tell her. He congratulated her on her new job. She cried and walked away from him.

Alex told Eric and Nicole they looked as if they didn’t want to do the shoot. He tried to convince them to do it. She agreed to do it. Eric and Nicole started posing for the shoot. Gabi and Stefan ran into each other. They talked about Chloe and Li. They also talked about the way he felt about Gabi. She said she found Rolf. She said Rolf said he didn’t alter Stefan’s feelings. Stefan said their marriage was meaningless. She said she wanted revenge for sending her to prison for Andre’s murder, but she fell in love with him. She told him about a wedding cake she hid in the kitchen to celebrate her success. Li found the two of them together. Stefan walked away from them. Wendy looked through Li’s papers at DiMera while on the phone with Johnny. She told him what she overheard about Rolf. EJ walked in and asked if she needed help. She hung up the phone. She introduced herself. He asked if she was looking for something. She said he was going to digitally convert Li’s paper files. EJ didn’t want her to do it. While she was looking through Li’s digital records, she found out he requested a list of DiMera pilots who left the company in the last five years. She called the travel department and left a message for Johnny. She told him they could find out where Li sent Rolf. She said they would be one step closer to finding out what EJ and Li did to Stefan.

EJ accused Johnny of plotting revenge because of Ava. Susan came in and told EJ to leave Johnny alone. EJ asked Johnny what happened with the clown. Johnny said he wasn’t trying to kill him. Johnny said he wasn’t scheming against him. EJ said he hoped that was true because he would hate the idea of his son betraying him. Paulina let Sloan know that her money was on the way. When Paulina got off the phone, Stephanie came in. Paulina yelled at her. Stephanie showed her the blackmail file. Paulina said she would keep her on board since the election was a week away. Stephanie said Sloan could plant a rumor which could ruin everything. Paulina said they would be in the clear. Chad went to see Alex to convince Victor not to fire Stephanie. Alex said it wouldn’t happen because he had the file. Alex wondered why Chad was concerned about it. He asked if Chad had feelings for her. Chad said it was none of his business. Chad realized Alex still had feelings for her. Chad let Alex know that she wasn’t into him. Stephanie showed up and listened to their conversation. Alex said Chad was marking his territory. Chad said the love of his life died. He said he didn’t want to move on with anyone right now especially not Stephanie. Alex said he would want to move on eventually. Chad told him to leave it alone. He said there would never be anything between him and Stephanie. She was disappointed. She walked in the room and let them know she got her job back with Paulina. She asked if she could talk to Alex alone. Chad left them alone. She told Alex that she wanted to repay him by taking him out to dinner. He said that was crossing the line. She said she was willing to make an exception.

Xander was at the town square looking for a job. Ava showed up and asked him to kidnap EJ’s mother. She said she would make it worth his while. He refused to do it. EJ showed up. Xander asked EJ for a job in exchange for information on one of his enemies. EJ thought he was talking about Victor. EJ said questioned his loyalty. EJ said he was a loser who got outsmarted by Philip. EJ said he could cut hedges if he needed a job. EJ walked away. Johnny thanked Susan for sticking up for him. She asked if he was telling the truth. Johnny said he wouldn’t dress up like a clown to scare EJ. Susan asked him about Chanel. She told him not to give up on love. When she touched his chest, she said love wasn’t too far away. Ava asked Xander if he changed his mind about helping her. She said all he had to do was babysit Susan until EJ paid ransom. Xander liked the idea. He agreed to do it. He wanted to bleed EJ dry.

Johnny told Wendy that she could stay with his sister and her girlfriend. He told Wendy that Chanel used to be his wife. He said he and Allie were twins, but they had different fathers. Wendy was shocked. He continued to tell her the story about Chanel and how the devil ruined everything. She asked if he was seeing someone, but his father made her leave town. Wendy figured out he was talking about Tripp’s mother. He said he wished things could have worked out between him and Ava, but now he was ready to move on. He told her they should go to Allie’s place. Chanel wanted to tell Allie something, but Paulina texted Chanel. Paulina told her there was a problem. Chanel told Allie that she had to run an errand. Sonny showed up and asked if she had a threesome with Alex. He said he wouldn’t judge her. Allie told him that she had a threesome. Johnny and Wendy overheard them. Sonny left the apartment. He said the money was counterfeit. Chad told Leo to leave. Sloan told him the deal went down tomorrow or Paulina’s daughter was going to be exposed. She left the pub. He texted Stephanie to let her know that Sloan was on her way home. Stephanie told Alex that she was at Sloan’s place because she was blackmailing her client. She told him he was sleeping with a snake who didn’t have a soul. She looked through Sloan’s apartment. Alex told her she had to worry about him. She told him to keep his mouth shut. She got a text from Chad. Alex said he couldn’t wait to tell Sloan what she did. Stephanie asked him not to say anything. Sloan came back and made out with Alex. She said Steve and John had the counterfeit money they got from the D.E.A. for busting the drug dealer. She said the bills were at Black Patch. She wanted him to handle the money with Sloan while she broke into Sloan’s apartment. Sonny told Alex that Will wasn’t coming home. He wanted to hang out with Alex, but he said he had plans. He said he was going to get lucky tonight. He said he was going to ease his broken heart. He told Sonny about his threesome with Allie and Chanel. Sonny told him not to let anyone else know that. Alex got a message from Sloan and decided to leave to meet her.

Sloan ran into Leo. She let him know that she had a detective track him down because she wanted her money. She said if he didn’t pay her back, she was going to use a collection agency to get her money. He said he didn’t have any money. She said he better get her money. John told Marlena that she would be going home from the hospital. He also told her Brady and Chloe broke up. Marlena thought it wouldn’t be good for Rachel. John thought Kristen was behind what was going on. They both thought Kristen would do anything to get her hands on Rachel. Marlena said Kristen would do the same for Brady. Brady let Chloe know that Kristen was moving in with him. Chloe told him to go back to the judge and find another way. He said it was his only option. She asked why he was doing this. He said it was for Rachel. Chloe said she didn’t even know him anymore since he caved to Kristen. Kristen was glad Chloe was gone. Brady told her Rachel would figure out that she only thought about herself. He said she wouldn’t be able to pretend to be a good mother for long. She told him to never threaten her relationship with her daughter. She said she had the upper hand. She said they would be a family if she wanted them to be. She said the women wouldn’t get their doses if he didn’t do what she wanted. She left the room. When John and Marlena came home, Brady told them he had something to tell them. Kristen came into the room. John wanted to know why she was there. She asked Brady if he wanted to tell them or did he want her to tell them. Kristen went to the kitchen. John told Brady he had some explaining to do. Stefan ran into Li. Li told Stefan to keep fighting for Chloe even though she’s with Brady. Stefan said Chloe and Brady broke up. Li said it worked out for him. Stefan thought it worked out for Li. Li said he was thrown when Stefan came to town. He said it was obvious Stefan didn’t care for Gabi. Chloe went to her room and saw Stefan leaving a note for her. He told her he was sorry about her break up. She told him she wished she was on a plane out of Salem. He found a way to recreate their night in Miami. She appreciated it. Rolf decided to leave Salem. When he was about to leave, Gabi showed up. She said he wasn’t going anywhere until they talked about what he did to Stefan. Rolf said he saved Stefan’s life. She grabbed his box and wanted to know what he did. He said he didn’t do anything. She smashed a vial from the box. He said he used Jake’s heart to save Stefan. She wanted to know what else he did. When he wouldn’t tell her anything, she smashed another vial. He said Stefan figured out that she wasn’t worthy of him. She pushed him up against the wall and put a scalpel to his throat. When she threatened to cut him, he told her he brainwashed Stefan for Kristen. He told her Li was in on it. She said she couldn’t think about that now. She wanted him to reverse what he did. He told her the antidote was in the box. She told him to get it. He pulled out a syringe and stuck it in her.

Roman told Kate that there was a miracle. He told her about the serum that Marlena took. Kate told him to go to the hospital. Chad showed up to be with Kate. Chad apologized for not being there for her. Kate apologized for not being there for him with Abby. He said there was no way she could have known what happened. She hated herself for ever being with Clyde. Chad said she picked a good one this time. She said he was right. She talked about how much time she and Roman had left. She said she had to stay positive. He said he knew she would because she was Kate. After Rex gave Marlena the serum, her heart began to race. She said she couldn’t breathe. John tried to talk to her until her heart slowed down. Rex said her vitals were rebounding. John wanted to know what that meant. Marlena said it meant it was working. She said she could feel it. Kristen told Brady on the phone that he should end things with Chloe. She said the future doses depended on him. He yelled at her and told her not to call him again. When he got off the phone, Chloe wondered what was going on. He lied about what was going on.

Kristen went to the hospital. She saw Brady and Chloe together. When Brady walked off, Kristen went over to Chloe. They got into an argument. Brady showed back up and talked about Rachel hating Chloe. Kristen said they knew how to fix the situation. She walked away from them. Tripp told everyone in Kayla’s room that Marlena got the serum. Kayla passed out. Roman came in and said Marlena was recovering. Steve said they were running out of time. Steve told them to give Kayla the serum. Kayla passed out. Tripp and Rex gave her CPR. Roman wanted to know if it was safe to give Kate the serum. Kayla woke up. Rex and Tripp said there was no way to know if the serum made Kayla act the way she did. Kayla wanted to let Roman know what happened wasn’t his fault. Chad and Kate talked about his new job with Stephanie. He said he wasn’t ready to move on from Abby. Kate passed out while they were talking. Rex and Roman showed up. Rex gave her the serum. The serum worked for her. Kate wanted Chad and Rex to leave so she could be with Roman. Kristen went to see Marlena. Kristen yelled at her for not helping her with Rachel’s custody. Kristen said God helped Marlena and would help her too. She walked out of Marlena’s room. Brady told Chloe they couldn’t go on like this. He said he loved her, but his daughter was miserable. He said he had to put her first. She asked if he was breaking up with her. He said he was sorry. He told her he loved her. Kristen showed up and told him she knew he could do it. He said she wouldn’t get away with it. She said she already did. She said Chloe would be fine.

Chloe accused Kristen of putting the note in Rachel’s lunchbox. Kristen said she didn’t know what she was talking about. Kristen accused Chloe of changing the judge’s mind at the hearing. Chloe said she did and would do it again. She said Brady was happy about it. Kristen told Chloe that Rachel hated her. Kristen said Chloe should give Brady his freedom before Rachel hated him. Chloe said she tried to do that, but it didn’t work. Kristen said she had a feeling that it wouldn’t last long. Chloe said Brady wouldn’t dream about giving her what she wanted. Kristen said maybe Brady wanted to be the one to end it. Kristen wondered why Chloe was there instead of with Brady at Marlena’s deathbed. Chloe walked out. Kristen said her bad day was just beginning. Nicole showed up while Eric was on the phone with Sami. Nicole asked about Marlena, Kate and Kayla. He told her how they were. He told her Kate and Roman got married. Nicole said Kate and Roman have been through a lot, but they were each other’s destiny. Eric said some couples were like that. He was about to leave to see Marlena when Nicole stopped him. She said he was always there for other people and that someone should be there for him. They hugged each other. Rafe showed up while they were hugging. Rafe told them about the solution. Eric went to see Marlena. Nicole said she hoped the medication worked. Rafe said he hoped it did too so she could stop hugging Eric.

Rafe told Nicole that he was getting tired of seeing her hugging Eric. She said she was supporting her friend. He said it was an excuse. He said he was her husband now. He said she forgot that she was married to him. She told him it was her idea to get married. He said she wanted to do it right away because she saw Eric at Abe and Paulina’s wedding. She said she wanted a simple wedding. He said she felt that she let go of Eric too easily. He thought he was a mistake to her. He said she thought if she married him, she would stop pining after Eric. She said he was her husband and she loved him. He asked her why she didn’t ask if she could work with Eric. He said it felt as if she wanted to recreate the magic she and Eric had when they first fell in love. Brady stopped John from destroying the vial. Brady didn’t tell him how he knew about the vial. He said it could be what they were waiting for. Jada said John wouldn’t forgive himself if it was the cure. John said he knew they were right. Rex went to analyze the serum. Jada asked Brady if he knew who wrote the note about the serum. He said he didn’t. She wondered why he wanted to use the serum so badly. He said he wanted to help. John and Shawn went to Marlena’s room. They told Belle about the serum. Marlena asked Shawn to take care of Belle. John told Marlena to hold on a little longer. Eric showed up at the hospital. He thanked her for getting the serum there. She said she wanted it to work, but she wondered where it came from. He said he didn’t want to leave his mother alone. He asked her to get his father and Kate if it worked. Rex told Brady that the serum was the same one from 25 years ago. Rex went to Marlena’s room. He said the serum wasn’t 100 percent, but he felt good about it. Marlena wanted him to use the serum. She told Eric that she wanted the last rites. John said she was the one great love of his life. Rex gave her the injection.

Stephanie was upset when she saw John crushing the orchid. She thought it was the cure. He told her it was another one of Orpheus’ schemes. She wondered what her mother was going to do. Steve was with Kayla in her room. Tripp and Joey showed up to see her. They were tired of Stephanie not telling them what was going on so they wanted to see for themselves. Kayla and Steve told them that Orpheus poisoned her as well as Marlena and Kate. Steve left to check on Marlena. Kayla tried to prepare Joey and Tripp for the worst, but they didn’t want to hear it. Tripp said he regretted the time he wasted being angry at her. She said she was proud of them. Tripp said he wouldn’t have tried to become a doctor if it weren’t for her. Joey said she and Steve were there for him during the worst time in his life. He said he wished there was something he could do. Steve ran into Stephanie. He told her Joey and Tripp were with Kayla. She went to see Kayla. John told him that he was right about wanting to end Orpheus after he was pardoned. John said he would end Orpheus himself if their wives didn’t make it. They talked about how helpless they felt. Steve said he regretted the time he wasted not being with Kayla. John said he understood how he felt.

Stephanie apologized for keeping Joey and Tripp in the dark about Kayla. Kayla woke up and said it was her idea to do it. Steve came back to the room. She said she was happy they were all there. Chloe talked to Nicole about her issues with Rachel. Chloe said she didn’t know how to handle the situation with Rachel. Nicole said she wished she could be there for Eric. She told Chloe that Rafe and Jada caught her hugging Eric. Nicole said Jada claimed him as her boyfriend. Nicole said she understood that, but there was a pull between her and Eric. She said she would be lying if she said she didn’t feel it. Chloe said she wanted her to be happy, but she didn’t want her to do something stupid. Kristen told Brady that Rolf grew a new orchid. She said she had it. Brady said she was playing games. She showed him a picture of her holding the orchid. He didn’t believe her. She said the serum was formulated and he was wasting time the women didn’t have. He thought she wanted custody of Rachel so he agreed to it. She said she wanted him to break up with Chloe and get back together with her. He refused to be with her. She said Marlena would die unless he made everyone think that they got back together for Rachel’s sake. She said he couldn’t say anything about blackmail. He said she was a monster. She said she considered herself a mother who loved her child. She told him that the women were going to need a second dose in a few months and a booster after that. She said he couldn’t dump her after they were cured. She said they were in it for the long haul. He agreed to do it because he didn’t have a choice. He said he had conditions. He said he wouldn’t say anything to Chloe until after the first dose. She agreed to it. She said once the women are feeling better, he had to dump Chloe. He said they would be a family, but he would never make love to her. He said she would be more lonely in a loveless relationship. She said only time would tell. He said he hated her. She said there was a thin line between love and hate. He told her to be careful what she wished for. He walked away from her.

Rolf went to see Kristen. He let her know the police were ransacking his lab. She was glad they wouldn’t find the orchid. She picked up the orchid. He moved his sensitive info, but he didn’t want the police to digging through his work. He realized she was taking care of the orchid. He wanted to know about her end game. She didn’t tell him what her plans were, but she wanted to know why he was so worried about Marlena. She mentioned the clones he had already. He let her know that if the women die, it would be her fault because she had the cure. John held Marlena’s hand. Eric and Belle arrived and asked about the orchid. John told them that Rolf didn’t have the orchid. Shawn let John know that he didn’t find the orchid at the lab. Marlena woke up and hoped no one gave up on her. They assured her they didn’t give up on her. Eric led them in a prayer. Marlena wanted Eric to check on Roman and Kate. He didn’t want to leave her. Marlena didn’t want him to argue with her in her condition. Eric left the room just as Sami called Marlena. She wanted to be there for her, but she had to deal with Sydney. Sami wanted to talk to Belle. She assured Sami that she and Eric would take care of their mother. John was taking care of Marlena when Sarah brought a delivery for her. John and Marlena read the card and saw that Orpheus sent her flowers.

Lucas called Kate from Statesville. She let him know that Roman proposed to her. She told him that she was proud of him for taking responsibility for what he did. She wished him happiness. She assured him that she would see him when he got out. She got off the phone with Lucas. She told Roman that she couldn’t tell Lucas the truth. He knew she would see Lucas again. He told her that he wanted to get married right away. They needed a witness. Rex and Eric arrived so Roman said their timing was perfect. Eric performed the ceremony so Kate and Roman got married. Chloe told Brady they should break up because of Kristen. She told him that Rachel hated her. Brady told her that Kristen would get her way. He reminded her that they loved each other. She was afraid that he would lose Rachel. He knew that sacrificing his happiness wouldn’t change his situation wouldn’t change Rachel around. Later, Brady met with Kristen. He confronted her about the note that was in Rachel’s lunchbox. Kristen didn’t know what he was talking about. He didn’t have time for her games because Marlena was dying. She said that Marlena didn’t have to die. She thought she could save Marlena,  Kayla and Kate.

Chad went to see Stephanie. He wanted to apologize for what happened. She said they were both drunk and were trying to forget about what was going on. He said he enjoyed working with her and didn’t want to mess things up. She told him Paulina was in trouble. She asked him to go with her to see Paulina. They met with Paulina. Paulina wanted him to sign a NDA before she gave them the folder. Paulina wanted to know what they were going to do about it. Gabi went to her office and found EJ in there. He told her he had proof that Ava’s marriage was a fraud. He said Ava said it was her idea. He said Jake’s shares went to Vivian, but she couldn’t vote because she was incarcerated. He said they had to go with the proxy which would be Stefan. He told her she was out of moves. He told her checkmate before he left her office. Wendy went to see Li, She said she couldn’t work IT at Fairbanks anymore. She said she wanted a job in Salem. He told her it wasn’t that simple. She said he was engaged to the CEO. She asked if he screwed that up too. She said she heard about his meltdown about Stefan.

Gabi called Li to come to the office. When he got off the phone, Wendy told him she wanted to go with him. He left without her. She wondered why he was so worried about Stefan. She looked at his tablet. She found pictures of Li and Gabi’s pictures. She left to find out what was going on. Johnny ran into Stefan at the DiMera mansion. Johnny asked him if he saw EJ. Stefan said he left, but Stefan knew what was going on with him and Ava. Stefan defended EJ to Johnny. Johnny was upset about him defending EJ. Stefan said it was about getting Gabi out of the company. Johnny was confused because the only thing he heard about Stefan was he was in love with Gabi. Johnny wondered what Rolf did to Stefan. Stefan said Rolf had nothing to do with his feelings. Stefan asked what Rolf would have to gain by making him hate Gabi. Johnny said EJ did something so Stefan could side with him. Stefan didn’t believe it. Johnny warned him not to trust. EJ showed up while they were talking. Johnny yelled at EJ for treating Ava the way he did. EJ told him to find someone his own age. EJ asked Stefan to get Vivian’s power of attorney. He wanted to give Gabi a peek at her future. Stefan agreed to do it. When Li showed up, Gabi told him about EJ’s visit. EJ and Stefan showed up. EJ told her that he had Vivian’s power of attorney. He said Jake’s shares went to Stefan. She wanted to know why Stefan was being mean to her. She wanted him to look in her eyes. She asked where that part of him that loved her went. Stefan thought about pushing Gabi away.

Paulina told her that she had everything under control. Sloane wanted to know what made her think it was under control. Sloane introduced herself to Chanel. She wanted to know if Paulina made a decision about the offer. Paulina refused to be blackmailed. They threatened each other. Paulina threw Sloane out of her place. Paulina told Chanel that she planned to drop out of the race. Chanel didn’t want her to do that. Chanel wanted to pay the blackmailer, but her mother said the person would never stop coming after her. Paulina planned on going after Sloane through Stephanie and Chad. Alex confronted Stephanie about being with Chad. He wanted to know why it was sexual harassment when he wanted to be with her, but it wasn’t for her to be with someone she just hired. Chad told her that what they did was consensual. Alex was convinced they slept together. He hoped she would have changed her mind about how she felt about him, but he realized he was wrong. He realized she would never be into him. Stephanie watched him leave.

Stefan remembered admitting to Gabi about how he felt about her. He went off on her for going after his job. He said he wanted the job back. Li told him that he was crazy if he thought EJ would let him run the company. Stefan told him they would run the company together. He said their first order of business is to clean house at the company. EJ said traitors had to go. He said that Li needed to go. EJ left to file the proxy. Stefan told Gabi to clean out her desk. Li told her not to do anything until he finished talking to EJ. Li went after EJ so Gabi used that opportunity to get Stefan to talk about his memory of her. She knew he still loved her. She put her hand on his heart. She knew he still felt something. Li threatened EJ about trying to get him out of the company. He warned him that he would make Stefan turn on him immediately. He admitted that he was the one who got Rolf to bring Stefan back and turned him against Gabi. EJ reminded him that he could lose Gabi if he said anything about that. Li told him that his goal was to get DiMera. He said he was prepared to cut her loose. EJ didn’t believe him. EJ went back to meet with Stefan. He told him that the proxies were in order and they just had to wait for the vote. Gabi wanted to know if EJ and Li came to an understanding. He said they did. When they were alone he told her that EJ still had the votes. Li said he wouldn’t be fired, but his father wouldn’t help him. She didn’t know how she would get through that without his love for her. He stroked her hair. EJ and Stefan wanted to celebrate their victory. EJ told him that he will take over DiMera now that Gabi is out. He explained how the positions will go down at DiMera.

Sloan told her to look at the file and get back to her. Alex showed up to meet with Allie and Chanel. They told him that they wanted to have a threesome with him. Allie talked about the threesome, but she couldn’t say the name. Chanel thought Allie might not be ready if she couldn’t say the word. He was shocked that they wanted to have it since they turned him down when he first suggested it. He wanted to know what changed their minds. EJ wanted to call the police, but Johnny told him not to. EJ said he wouldn’t call the police, but she had to leave town. He told her her bags were in the foyer. She apologized for them not knowing what could have been. He said he wanted to go with her. She said it would be better for them to part ways. She said they would have good memories. Gwen said she didn’t think she would get clean in prison. She told Jennifer not to do it. She said she knew how much Jennifer was suffering because of Laura and Abby’s deaths. She said she wasn’t surprised Jennifer tried to numb the pain. Gwen said she cared about her. Gwen said she wished someone had told her mother they cared about her. Gwen said she was too needy to do it then, but she could do it now. She said she would tell the police Jennifer didn’t hit her. Jennifer asked why she would cover up for her. EJ said that he should take it off. Ava went to see Gabi and told her about EJ wanting her to move back in the mansion. Gabi told her that she shouldn’t trust him. Rafe and Jada wanted to surprise Eric and Nicole at Basic Black. Eric got info about Marlena, Kayla and Kate when Nicole walked in the room. He updated her about what happened with them. He let her know that he was going to be in New York and she said she was going back there too. Jennifer was nervous waiting for Mike. She wanted to get the rehab started. Jack assured her that everything would be taken care of when they get to New York. Jennifer didn’t want him to go with her. She told him that she would be in treatment and Gwen needed him. Jack held her and told her how much he loved her. She didn’t want to let Abby down again. Mike arrived to get her. She told him that admitting that she needed help was the hardest thing to do. Kate thought it was possible since Orpheus’ vendetta started with Roman. Rex left so he could compare Roman’s medical records with the women’s records. Stephanie ran into Steve and got upset that he didn’t tell her about Kayla. She was mad that she had to hear it from Eric. He didn’t want to tell her when they had a better way to handle it. He told her they were waiting for the labs to come back. He told her that Orpheus was behind what happened. They went to Kayla’s room to check on her. Kayla wanted to check on Marlena, but Steve stopped her from going. Stephanie wanted to tell Joey and Tripp about Kayla. Kayla didn’t want them to come home. Clyde told Chad he was going to be with Abby while he was strangling him. EJ ended up shooting Clyde in the back. EJ asked if Chad was alright. Chad said for him to tell him that Clyde was dead. EJ kicked Clyde. Chad said it was too bad he was still kicking. EJ asked Clyde how it felt to be the one eating up the grass. EJ asked how it felt. Chad asked how it felt to be close to dying and there was nothing he could do about it. Chad and EJ said they were going to enjoy it. Chad said Abby was still clinging to life when he found her. He said she was agonizing until her last breath. He said Clyde was going to know that feeling. He said Abby was with someone she loved before she died, but Clyde wouldn’t be. Shawn and Belle went to the cemetery. Rafe found Gwen passed out on the ground. Clyde asked Chad and EJ to call for help. Chad told him he had to speak up. Clyde said they couldn’t let him die. Jennifer asked what she was accusing her of. He said she had a pill addiction before. She said that was years ago. He wanted to know if she was addicted to pills. Xander and Sarah were at the hospital when Gwen was brought there. Xander asked what happened. Rafe told her he found Gwen unconscious at the police station. Xander asked if Jack knew. He said she wasn’t an angel because she cheated on his son. Xander told Gwen that Jack was on his way to see her. He told her Jack would be there. She opened her eyes and wondered where she was. Sarah told her she was in the hospital. Rafe came in to question Gwen. Julie asked Jennifer how long she has been taking pills. Jennifer said it was a few weeks. Julie asked why she didn’t say anything. Jennifer said she didn’t want to be judged. Julie said she wouldn’t have been judged. Jennifer said she told Maggie about it. She said Maggie took her to a meeting and made her throw out the pills. She said she got the pills and started taking them. Julie told her that she had to be there for Abby’s kids because they were going to need her for a long time. Rafe asked Gwen if she was ready to answer some questions. She said her head was starting to clear. Jack showed up in her room. She thanked him for coming. Gwen said she saw a car that was coming towards her. Rafe asked if she saw the driver. She said she didn’t see the driver. She said the lights blinded her. She asked who could do that to someone outside of a police station. EJ got a message that Stefan’s shares were up for taking. Li went to see Chloe. He told her that he was worried about her because of what happened with her mother. He mentioned Stefan and Gabi. She told him that he wouldn’t be able to keep Stefan away from Gabi. Nancy went to visit Clyde in the hospital. She wanted to know if anything about their relationship was real. She wanted to know if he ever loved her. He said he wanted to be a better man for her. He wished he didn’t hurt her. He wanted to know if she could forgive him. She told him to get forgiveness from the families he hurt. She said she would pray for him.

Chad went to Abby’s headstone to bring him flowers. He wanted to talk to her and didn’t know what to say. Abby appeared and talked to him. She wanted to know how he felt about finding her killer. Chad started crying. He thought he would feel relieved, but he felt empty. He wasn’t sure what he was living for. She let him know that he almost died. She wanted to know if that’s what he wanted. He said he did because he would get to be with her. She didn’t want him to make a choice like that. He didn’t know how he could go on. She grabbed his hand and told him to remember why he has to go on with his life. She wanted him to be there for Thomas and Charlotte. Abby wished they could have made more memories together. He told her there would never be anyone else. She knew he wouldn’t feel that way forever. She knew that he wouldn’t stop loving her just like she wouldn’t stop loving him. They said goodbye to each other.

Jennifer looked at Abby’s picture and took a pill. She hid the bottle before Jack could see it. He told her that he saw Leo. He didn’t think Leo did it. She thought it was too much. Shawn called Jack and told him that Clyde killed Abby. He was for sure this time. Jack told her that they should go to the police station. She was overwhelmed and decided not to go. Jennifer started to cry and suddenly saw Abby appear. Jennifer reached out to her, but Abby backed away. She told her that she was taking pills again because she didn’t know how to go on without her. She wanted to know why Abby was there. Jennifer wanted to learn the truth badly. She looked at Abby’s dress and saw the blood on it. She reached out to her, but Abby disappeared. Jennifer wanted Abby to come back to her. Gwen went to see Leo at the station. She told him that Clyde set him up. He wanted to know why she showed up to tell him. She wanted to tell him since she was the reason why he was back in jail. She told him they were even. She told him about what’s going on with Jennifer. She thought Jack should know the truth. She didn’t want to make things worse with Jennifer. Later, Gwen ran into Jack at the station. He told her that Jennifer was at home alone. She thought he should have been concerned. Gwen told him about Jennifer taking pills. He didn’t want to believe it, but she said he should be worried about Jennifer.

Chad demanded that Clyde tell him what happened with Abby. He was going to give him seconds to live. Clyde told him what happened when he ran into Abby. He went to the DiMera mansion to strangle Belle so EJ could find her. He said he ran into Abby. They were talking and she noticed he was wearing black gloves. She knew he was lying about why he was there. He stopped her from getting away from him and he noticed the knife. Chad started to cry so Clyde wanted to stop talking. Chad wanted to hear more about what happened. He continued to tell Chad about the struggle he had with Abby until he stabbed her. Chad wanted to know if he enjoyed what he did to her. He told Chad that he saw Leo’s list of enemies and wanted to frame someone else for what he did. He followed Leo to Sonny’s office. Chad threatened him again. Clyde noticed that he didn’t pull the trigger. Jack went home and saw the empty pill bottle. Jennifer drove with Abby in the passenger seat. Jennifer threatened to go after everyone who tried to make Abby pay. Gwen was outside the station and panicked when she saw flashing headlights. Clyde fought Chad over the gun. They struggled and Clyde pinned Chad to the ground. He choked Chad and told him that he would be with Abby soon. EJ arrived in time and shot Clyde.

Jada went to Basic Black because it was Eric’s first day. She told Nicole that she accidentally grabbed him phone. Nicole asked if she did that while they were in bed. Jada told her about being upset about their relationship. Nicole said she wasn’t upset. Jada thought Nicole wanted their relationship to fail. Jada wondered why Nicole suddenly had to offer Eric the job, She told Nicole it felt like she was in a competition with her for Eric’s heart. Nicole said she was protective of him. Jada thought she was trying to say she wasn’t good for him. She asked if Nicole knew how that made her feel? Eric showed up while they were arguing. He wanted to know what was going on between them. Jada told him about the phone issue. They exchanged phones. Jada kissed him and left. He asked Nicole about the tension between her and Jada. Nicole admitted that she lied to Rafe about offering him a job as a way to explain why she was in Eric’s room, She said she offered him the job to cover up. He ended up quitting. She asked him not to quit. She said the circumstances of the offer weren’t ideal, they needed a photographer. He said he would stay if she was honest with Rafe about why she lied. She admitted to him that the dream she had about him was a sex dream. He told her he had a sex dream about her. Nancy told Chad that Clyde wore vanilla cologne. Chad asked if he knew where Clyde was. She said he was at the hospital. Chad left. Rafe asked Craig about where he was the night Sonny was stabbed. Craig said he couldn’t believe he was being accused of stabbing Sonny as well as killing Abby. Craig said he wasn’t in town. He said it was an insult that Rafe was listening to Leo. Rafe wanted to know if he had an alibi for both attacks.

Nancy went to see Chloe and Brady. Nancy told them she and Clyde were getting married. Chloe wanted to know why they were rushing to get married. Nancy asked her why should she wait. Nancy said she wanted them to be witnesses. Craig showed up and told her he might not be able to be at her wedding because he was accused of murder. Nancy said she knew he would be able to give an alibi. She wanted the day to be about her. When Nancy left to get dressed, Chloe asked Craig to help her stop the wedding. Clyde had a flashback of stabbing Sonny. Will showed up and wondered why Clyde was at the hospital. Clyde said he was there for a drug test. They talked about their time in prison. Clyde said he was glad they caught the guy who attacked Sonny. Clyde left to go to his wedding. Chad showed up at the hospital. Chad asked if he saw Clyde. Will said he was just there. Chad said he thought Clyde was the killer. They went to Sonny’s room. Chad asked Sonny to remember if he saw Clyde when he was attacked. Sonny closed his eyes and remembered seeing Clyde. Sonny wondered why Clyde would do that to him. Chad said the knife Clyde used was the same knife that killed Abby. He said Clyde’s alibi checked out. Sonny said he knew he saw Clyde’s reflection. Chad wondered where Clyde was. Will said he was going to city hall to get married. Chad said he would tell the police and left. Sonny told Will that he was afraid that Clyde would come back to finish the job. Will said he was safe as long as Leo was locked up. Sonny said he knew it wasn’t Leo. Jada went to the police station. She asked if there was any news on the case. He said Leo might be innocent. Rafe asked her to look over the evidence for anything they might have missed. She looked at the surveillance and told him there was a problem with Clyde’s alibi. Rafe said Clyde didn’t have an alibi for Abby’s murder. Chad went to the DiMera mansion and took a gun out of the safe.

Alex told Justin about Sonny’s theory about his stabbing. Justin left the room to confirm what Sonny said. Nancy arrived at the Kiriakis mansion to see Bonnie. Bonnie helped Nancy get ready for the wedding. Justin walked in the room with a somber look on his face. Justin told them that Clyde was the one who stabbed Sonny and killed Abby. Nancy didn’t want to believe it. Justin wanted her to rethink the wedding. Nancy started crying and said that Clyde loves her. She insisted that he was innocent. She said she was getting married and there was nothing Justin could do to stop her. She thanked Bonnie for her help, but she uninvited her to the wedding. Bonnie reminded Justin that she was a bad person once, but she changed. She thought Clyde might have changed too, Justin loved her forgiving her, but he didn’t think Clyde changed. Justin was willing to talk to Sonny again. Craig told Chloe that he couldn’t stop Nancy from getting married. Chloe begged him to do it. Brady wanted them to take a minute. Chloe said they had to stop it now. She reminded him that if they didn’t stop him, he would have married a con artist. Craig told her that Nancy made her choice and Clyde paid his debt to society. He thought he stayed on the right side of the law. She told him that Clyde abused his kids, but Craig didn’t want to hear about it. Chloe wanted him to back her up, but he thought they should stay out of it.

Jada wanted a warrant for Clyde’s arrest. Rafe left a message for Chad about what happened. They rushed to find Clyde. Chad found a gun in the safe and was about to leave when EJ spotted him. He wanted to know what Chad was doing. He said he had to pick up something. EJ asked him about Abby’s murder case. Chad let him know that Leo was innocent. He said Clyde killed her. He said he was going to make Clyde pay. EJ felt guilty because he should have told him that Clyde threatened his family. EJ wanted to help Chad, but he told him to go to Hell. Clyde was ready to go into City Hall when Chad stopped him with his gun. Belle went to the DiMera mansion to tell him about her encounter with Clyde. He told her that Clyde killed Abby. He said he was worried about Chad. He realized that Chad planned to kill Clyde. Belle wanted to call the police, but EJ didn’t want her to do it at first. He ended up agreeing to let her call Shawn. Craig, Chloe and Brady were at City Hall and wondered what happened to Nancy and Clyde. Chloe wanted to leave, but Craig didn’t want to do that to Nancy. Rafe and Jada showed up to arrest Clyde for Abby’s murder. Nancy arrived after they told them about Clyde. Nancy realized they were there because of Sonny’s accusations. Chloe told her about the altered footage of Clyde’s alibi. Nancy stormed out of the room. Chad took Clyde to Abby’s headstone. He forced him to get on the ground. He wanted to know why he killed her. Clyde said he didn’t do it because he had an alibi. Chad told him that his alibi wasn’t legit. He wanted to know why he killed Abby. Clyde told him that he thought she was Belle. Clyde explained everything that happened leading up to the murder.

EJ told Stefan they could do great things together. EJ said they could destroy Gabi. When Stefan didn’t rush to do it, EJ wondered why Stefan was hesitating. Stefan said he wanted to hear the whole plan. EJ said Stefan should take back his shares now that he’s alive. He said that would give them the shares they needed to oust her. He said Stefan would have to be willing to take her down. He asked Stefan if he was willing to take her down. Chad came in and was shocked to see Stefan. Stefan said he wanted to start over with Chad. Chad refused to do it after what he did to Abby. He told Stefan that Abby was dead. Stefan was shocked to hear that. Chad said Leo was the main suspect. He said the only thing Sonny remembered was the suspect was wearing vanilla. He went upstairs. EJ asked Stefan if he was still willing to go after Gabi. Leo told Gwen why Chad was the killer and was setting him up. She didn’t think Craig was that cold-blooded. Leo said Craig used to be shady. He told her how Craig could have set him up. She asked how Craig could have gotten his hit list. Leo didn’t know how he could have gotten the list. He said no one else had reason to hate him the way Craig did.

Gwen wanted to call the police, but Leo stopped her. He asked if she was going to turn him in. She said she forgave him for turning on her. She said she wanted to prove his innocence. He said he wanted to get back at Craig. She texted Rafe and told him to investigate Craig. Craig ran into Nancy and Clyde at the Pub. Craig said he was back because of Leo’s crimes. He said it was his fault for dumping Leo at the altar. Nancy introduced Clyde as her fiance. Craig told them that Chloe told him about Leo’s hit list. He said he knew Brady and Chloe were on Leo’s list Nancy said Leo hasn’t indicated that he was after Brady and Chloe, She wondered why Leo would spare Brady and Chloe. Craig thought it was because Leo still loved him. Craig wanted to celebrate their engagement. While they were in the Square, she left them alone. Craig and Clyde argued over Clyde not being good enough for Nancy. Clyde reminded him about what he did to her. Chad showed up while they were talking. Clyde wanted an apology form Chad for accusing him of murder. Chad didn’t want to get into it now. While he was standing next to Craig, he noticed the smell of vanilla. Stefan went to Gabi’s office. She noticed that he was wearing his ring. She asked if that meant that he still loved her. Leo was glad Gwen was going to help him. Rafe showed up to arrest him. She said she told Rafe that Leo was in her room.
