Nicole talked to EJ at the hospital. She wanted to know why there wasn’t much done for her baby. He tried to calm her down but it didn’t do any good. Leo tried to convince Dimitri to get on the submarine. Dimitri didn’t want to leave him behind. When Leo got off the phone, Rafe warned Leo that he was going to pay for what Dimitri did. Leo said he wasn’t going to betray Dimitri. EJ told Nicole that he was going to light a fire under Rafe to find their baby. He got a call telling him Leo was arrested. He was going to find out what was going on with the baby. Melinda talked to Dr. Pierce so he could check the baby. Sloan and Eric talked about their baby. She assured him the baby was healthy. He said he realized that their baby was born on the same day as Nicole. Sloan pretended to be shocked that Nicole’s baby was born. He said Nicole and EJ should be with the baby. She flashed back to Dimitri telling her and Melinda about Nicole’s baby. Dr. Pierce told Melinda he only met with her because of Sloan. He said he didn’t meet with her to do something unethical. She bribed him to help her. After he checked the baby, he said the baby was okay. She wanted him to deliver bad news to the parents of the baby. Dimitri called Sloan. He told her Leo was arrested. He wanted her to help Leo. Leo told Rafe that he wasn’t going to say anything against Dimitri. He wondered if Dimitri was cleared of his charges since Gabi was arrested for Li’s murder. When Rafe didn’t answer Leo assumed Dimitri wasn’t clear. EJ showed up and wanted to know where his baby was. Sloan told Dimitri that Leo tried to stiff her the last time she represented him. He told her Leo was a good man who didn’t deserve what was happening to him. She agreed to help Leo.

EJ told Rafe that Dimitri took his baby. Leo said it was a misunderstanding. EJ threatened Leo if he didn’t tell him where his baby was. Dr. Pierce refused to do what Melinda wanted. He said he could lose his license. She said he would figure out a way to do it. He said the parents would be devastated. She said she didn’t feel good about it. She said he would be making another couple happy. Leo said he didn’t know where Dimitri was. EJ asked if Dimitri was holding his baby for ransom. Rafe said he would handle it. EJ said he was the D.A. and had every right to question Leo. Sloan said he didn’t. She said she wanted to speak to her client in private. Rafe and EJ left so they could talk. Leo asked if Dimitri mentioned Nicole’s baby. Sloan said he never mentioned it. Melinda told the baby that Sloan was going to be happy. She said she felt bad about what she was doing to Nicole. She talked about what happened with Haley and how she had to give her up. Dr. Pierce went to Nicole and EJ. He said a man showed up at the hospital earlier that night. EJ said the baby was brought to the hospital. She wanted to know what was going on. She asked if her baby was okay. Dr. Pierce said her baby died. Leo asked if Dimitri left town. Sloan said she believed so. He was relieved. She said was going to do her best to get him out of his predicament. Melinda called Sloan and told her Dr. Pierce agreed to help them. Nicole said it wasn’t possible for her baby to be dead. She said it was fine when Dimitri had him. Dr. Pierce said the baby died because of injuries during the crash. He gave her a blanket. She said Dimitri wrapped the baby in the blanket. Nicole broke down in EJ’s arms. He comforted her over the loss of the baby.

EJ wanted to know what Stefan and Gabi meant when they said he was fired. They said they had control over DiMera Enterprises because Li signed over his shares to them. EJ said he wasn’t going to let them get away with this. They said there was nothing he could do about it. Gabi told him to make sure his office was cleaned out because anything he left was getting thrown out. EJ said his next move was going to stop them. When he left, Stefan called a shareholder meeting. Gabi wanted to go with him but he said he would handle it. Nicole and Chad talked about the wedding. She wanted to know what happened to Stephanie. He told her about his argument with Stephanie. He said he loved Stephanie but he couldn’t picture marrying anyone but Abby. Nicole said she understood. She said she had trouble letting go of Eric even though it wasn’t the same thing. She gave him advice about the uncertainties of life. Nicole gave him advice about Abby wanting him to be happy. He said he believed her. He said he was going  to find Stephanie and make things right with her. EJ told Nicole that Stefan and Gabi were taking control over DiMera. He got a notification that the shareholders voted him out. Nicole said they would do everything they could to make it work, but for now she wanted to celebrate their wedding night.

Stephanie and Everett ran into each other at the Square. He said he was staying in Salem. Everett said he had a job at the Salem Spectator. His purpose wasn’t to cause her trouble. He wondered how her boyfriend reacted to the news of him being in town. She said she hadn’t told him yet. Everett thought that was interesting. She said she didn’t have a chance to tell him. She talked to him about the issues she had with Chad. Chad showed up and saw them together. Eric went home and told Sloan that he wanted to marry her that day. He convinced her it was a good idea. When he left so she could get ready, she told herself there was nothing Nicole could do to ruin it. Eric went to see Marlena and asked her to marry him and Sloan. She agreed to marry them. Roman showed up for the wedding. When Sloan showed up, they wanted to start the wedding. Brady showed up at the apartment. Eric asked him to be his best man. Li was upset about Gabi tricking him. He talked about getting revenge. Wendy walked in and saw him holding a knife. He lied and said he was making dinner. They talked about Marlena helping him. He told her what Gabi did to him. Wendy was upset about what she did. He said he was going to let go of it. She said she had plans with Tripp but she wanted to cancel them. Li told her not to do it. Later on, Li was shown on the floor with a stab wound in his back. Stefan came in the apartment and found Gabi holding a knife with blood on it.

Nicole ran into Eric at the Square. She told him she and EJ were getting married that day. He told her he was thinking about her. He said he knew that it was her wedding day. They talked about Holly’s issues with the wedding. She said Holly missed him. He said he missed her too. He asked if she would be marrying EJ if she weren’t having his baby. She said she probably wouldn’t be marrying EJ. She told him EJ was the father of her baby. She said she was going to have a healthy baby. It was a sign they belonged together. She said she loved EJ. Eric said he was happy for her if she was happy. She asked about the adoption. He said he and Sloan were going through with the adoption. She said she was happy for him if he was happy. They walked away from each other. Eric went to see Marlena so he could talk. He told her Nicole was getting married to EJ that day. She said she could tell he was emotional. She asked if he would have gotten back together with Nicole if her baby was his. He said he would have. She asked him about Sloan. He told her he was happy with Sloan, but he still loved Nicole. She told him to be sure of what he wants before he made a commitment with Sloan. Stefan met with Rolf in the park. He said he needed Rolf’s help to blackmail Li. Rolf wanted to know why he should help. Stefan reminded him that he helped Megan and Li try to kill him. Rolf said he kept him alive for years and never got a thank you. Stefan thanked him. He said Stefano would support what he was doing. He said he was blackmailing Li to sign over his shares which would give him control of DiMera. Rolf agreed to do it for Stefano.

Li went to look for Gabi. When he was about to leave, Rolf was at the door. Li wanted to know why he was in Salem. Rolf said Megan sent him there. Li said he didn’t have time for this because Gabi was kidnapped. He said he had to save her. Rolf said Megan was the one who kidnapped Gabi. She was using Gabi to get Li’s shares in DiMera. Rolf reminded him that he helped Megan kill Stefan. Li admitted to what he did. He said he was wrong to do it. He said he was working on getting over Gabi. Rolf didn’t believe it would work. Li was shocked when Gabi came out. She said she wasn’t kidnapped. Li didn’t understand why she did it until Stefan showed up. Stefan played the recording of Li admitting to his role in trying to kill him. They told Li to sign over his rights to them. Li agreed to sign them his shares. He threw them out of the apartment and vowed to get revenge on them. Johnny asked why Holly didn’t want to see their parents getting married. She said she would never get the man of her dreams. Johnny wanted to know who it was. She said it was EJ. They talked about it for a little bit before she told him she was okay with the wedding. When Chad showed up at the mansion, EJ and Nicole got married. Stefan and Gabi showed up at the wedding. Gabi made a toast to the couple. EJ wanted to know why they were there. Stefan shocked everyone when he fired EJ.

Marlena asked Li about his relationships before Gabi. He said there was only one. He told her how he met his old girlfriend. He said he loved her but his father didn’t approve of the relationship. He said when his father found out he yelled at him. He said his father offered a bribe to her family so he never saw her again. Marlena said his issues with his old girlfriend were why he was desperate to hold on to Gabi. He said she was right. He said he would get over Gabi with her help. He said he was going to continue having sessions with her. Gabi and Stefan talked about the plan to blackmail Li. She wondered if he was hesitating the way he did with Kristen. He said he wasn’t because Li tried to have him killed. They said they needed to get the evidence that Li was involved in his attempted murder. He said he secured an asset that would help them get what they want. Stefan left to pick up the asset. She called Li and told him she was kidnapped. While Johnny and Hope were talking, EJ and Nicole wanted to talk to them. They told Johnny and Holly they were getting married. Holly wasn’t happy about it. EJ and Johnny left the room so Nicole could talk to Holly. Holly thought about Johnny telling her he couldn’t be with her because they were step-siblings. She told Nicole she didn’t think it was a good idea that she marry EJ. Nicole wanted to know why. Holly lied and said she wanted him to be with Eric.

Nicole told Holly that she understood that she wanted Nicole to be with Eric because they were close. Nicole said she wanted Holly to be close to EJ one day. She said they were going to be a happy family. She wanted Holly to be happy for her. Holly agreed to try. Eric and Tate ran into each other at the pub. Tate told him he had feelings for Holly. Eric was shocked that he was interested in Holly. Eric said he and Holly were close when he was married to Holly. Tate said she was interested in an older man. Johnny interrupted them before Tate could tell who the person was. Tate went back to work. Johnny told Eric that Nicole and EJ were getting married. While Eric was in the Square, he thought about Johnny telling him Nicole and EJ were getting married. EJ went to Chad to tell him he and Nicole were getting married. EJ invited him to the wedding. Chad agreed to go to the wedding. EJ asked him to officiate the wedding. Chad agreed to do it. When Johnny went back to the mansion he asked Holly why she didn’t want their parents to get married.

Li went to see Marlena because he was losing his mind. He said he kept thinking about Gabi and it was affecting his life. He said he wanted to get over her. She said she knew he wasn’t involved in the plot to kill Stefan. Li said he was involved. He said he knew she couldn’t say anything because of doctor-patient confidentiality. She said that was true unless he planned on doing something illegal or harmful to anyone else in the future. He said he had no intention of doing that. He just wanted to get over Gabi. EJ told Nicole that Stefan and Gabby got Kristen’s shares. Nicole wondered if that meant Stefan and Gabi controlled the business. He said they didn’t. He said they had to get one more shareholder on their side and that would be it. She was worried about bringing a baby into that family when she and the baby weren’t a priority to him. He said Stefano always put family first. He promised to do better. She said she wanted to believe him, but she wasn’t sure. She said they were supposed to get married but it didn’t happen because of his revenge plot against Ava. He said they would get married the day after Halloween. Chad talked to Kate about his fight with Stephanie. He told her that he and Stephanie weren’t on the same page about marriage. He said Stephanie wanted to get married but he didn’t. He said their fight was about Abby. He questioned if he moved on too soon. He questioned if Stephanie wanted to marry him because she wanted to or because she was afraid of being ghosted again. Kate offered to watch the kids so he and Stephanie could talk.

Stephanie was shocked to see Everett. He wanted to go to the apartment to talk. She wanted to know where he has been over the years. He said he didn’t ghost her like she thought. He said he was hit by a car and in a coma for a year. He said when he woke up, he didn’t have his memory. He said when he remembered her he had to come see her. She didn’t believe it at first. He told her he wanted to be back with her. He kissed her but she pushed him away. She said she was living with someone. He asked if she was engaged or married. She said she wasn’t. He said he wasn’t giving up on her. When Everett left, Chad came home. He asked if she wanted to talk. She said they have talked enough. Stefan and Gabi were at the Square. They talked about the way they double crossed Brady and got the upper hand with Kristen. She told him what happened in Salem last Halloween. They talked about getting control of DiMera Enterprises. She said they should go after Li’s shares. She said they should blackmail him with the evidence that he was part of the attempt to kill Stefan.

Gabi edited the recording of Rachel. She told Stefan she didn’t feel good about it. She said she would be devastated if anyone accused her of abusing Arianna. He said what they were doing was terrible, but they didn’t have a choice if they wanted the shares. He said no one would ever see the video as long as Kristen does what they want. She said they also had to betray Brady to get what they wanted. He said he felt worse about that, but they didn’t have a choice. They wanted to move quickly with the plan so EJ wouldn’t get Kristen’s shares before they did. EJ and Kristen walked at the square. He told her he was concerned Stefan and Gabi would come after her the way they did Dimitri to get control of their shares. He said she should give them to him so he could protect them. She was suspicious and said she would have to think about it. Stefan called Kristen and asked her to meet him and Gabi at home. When she got there, they told her to sign her shares over to them. She laughed at them until they showed her the recording of Rachel saying her mother gave her a black eye and the video of her saying she would discipline her daughter anyway she wanted. She realized they set her up. She yelled at them but she didn’t back down.

Stefan and Gabi told Kristen they would give the video to Brady if she didn’t sign over her shares. Kristen said she was calling their bluff. She was going to take her chances with the judge. She said she didn’t want to risk losing Rachel. She signed the paper. Stefan told her she had to convince Peter to sign over his shares. When they left, EJ showed up. Kristen told him what happened. Marlena asked Brady about his deal with Gabi and Stefan. He told her they were setting Kristen up to look like she abused Rachel physically. He said he agreed to help them. She said what he was doing was wrong. He said he didn’t care. He said he wanted his daughter back no matter what he had to do. She tried to talk him out of it, but he refused to change his mind. She had to leave to go to the hospital. After she left, Gabi and Stefan showed up. They told Brady they deleted the videos because they made a deal with Kristen. He was upset that they double crossed him, but they didn’t care. Chad asked Stephanie if Steve was right about her wanting to get married. She said she did want to get married, but he wasn’t ready. She said she lied so she wouldn’t pressure him. He wasn’t happy that she lied to him. They argued over his feelings for her and Abby. Stephanie told him he didn’t understand how hard it was for her competing with his dead wife and losing. He said he could see marriage for them, but he wasn’t ready. He was still grieving Abby. He said he loved her. She said he didn’t love her the way he loved Abby.

Xander was talking to Sloan about the custody case. Maggie showed up. He was happy to see her, but she was upset with him. She yelled at him for going after full custody of Victoria. He said Sarah lied to him about being the baby’s father. He said she lied to him too. Maggie apologized to him for not telling him. She said she tried to get Sarah to tell him the truth but she was Sarah’s mother and had to respect her decision. He said he understood and apologized to her for yelling at her especially now. She said it has been hard, but Konstantin has been there for her. He said he was glad that Konstantin was there for her. He said Konstantin doesn’t like him. He said he was there for her too. She said she hoped for the baby’s sake he and Sarah got along. Konstantin was talking to Theresa on the phone when Sarah walked in and heard him mention Xander’s name. He got off the phone and talked to Sarah. She wanted to know what he was talking about on the phone. He lied and told her he was telling someone in Greece about the things Xander has done. He said they all knew his reputation and didn’t like him. She talked to him about the custody case. He said he supported her. She said she was trying to look like the perfect parent for her daughter. She said she knew how to do it. She wanted the nanny to put Victoria down for a nap, but he offered to do it. She handed him the baby and left. He insulted Victor to the baby. He said he was going to get all of Victor’s money.

When Maggie went home, Konstantin gave her a portrait of Victor. She loved the portrait. He put it on the mantle. She left to fix her makeup. Konstantin told Victor’s portrait that he was going to steal all of his wife’s money. Marlena, Steve and Kayla put Halloween bags together at the pub. Kate brought Thomas and Charlotte to the pub. Kayla pulled Steve to the side and told him to leave Chad alone about marrying Stephanie. She told him about Chad and Stephanie’s conversation. Chad and Stephanie showed up at the pub. Steve wanted to talk to Chad. Steve said he heard Chad was talking to Stephanie about marriage. Chad said he and Stephanie were on the same page when it came to marriage. Steve told him he was wrong. He said if Chad wasn’t going to marry her he needed to end it for her sake and the kids. Stephanie came over and asked if everything was okay. Steve said everything was okay. Chad asked Kate to watch the kids so he could talk to Stephanie. Stephanie wanted to know what was going on. He said he had to ask her something important. He said he needed her to be honest with him. He asked if she meant it when she said she didn’t want to get married now. Sarah met with Kayla at her office in the hospital. Sarah told Kayla about the custody battle. Sarah said it would look better for the court if she had a job. She asked if there were any openings. Kayla asked if she was ready to go back to work. Sarah said she didn’t have a choice. Kayla told her a part-time job was opening up. Sarah said she would take it. When Sarah left, Steve showed up and said he did something that could hurt Stephanie and Chad’s relationship.

Kristen told Gabi she was having lunch with EJ. Gabi was upset that Kristen was getting closer to EJ. Stefan was playing 20 Questions with Rachel. He said he found a way for her to get tickets to see Taylor Swift. He said she had to enter a costume contest. He said Gabi would help her with a winning idea. When Kristen left, Gabi told Stefan they had to step up their plan. Rachel came back in the room. Stefan left Gabi and Rachel to put Rachel’s costume on. Gabi did her makeup. She gave Rachel a black eye and a cut on her lip. She made a recording saying Kristen gave her the injuries. Brady talked to Marlena about Tate. He thought Tate was trying to get fired. Marlena said it was good that he was holding Tate accountable. He admitted that he was over parenting Tate to make up for losing Rachel. He said that might be changing because he had a chance to get custody. He told her about Gabi’s offer to help him get custody. Marlena was skeptical of it working, She wondered if Gabi and Stefan had an ulterior motive. Brady said he didn’t care. He said he wanted his daughter back. She wondered if they were doing something illegal. He said he didn’t care if they were. He said Kristen played dirty so he had to as well. She asked if there was a way they could co-parent Rachel, but he said there wasn’t. Stefan showed up after Marlena left. Stefan wanted to make sure Brady was in on the plan. Brady said he was. They buried their grudge. Brady asked what he needed him to do. Stefan told him to intercept Kristen on her way to the Bistro and start a fight with her. Brady agreed to do it.

Kristen thought about her conversation with Brady in the courtroom after she got custody. Marlena ran into her. She told Kristen she had a goodie bag for her. Kristen didn’t want it. Ava and Gil argued in the town square. Harris and Jada showed up. They wondered if something was wrong. Ava said she was fine. Harris asked about the guy she was with. She said he was the new owner of the Bistro and her new boss. Gil was surprised to find out Harris and Jada were cops. He said he was giving Ava a tour of the kitchen. Harris was suspicious. When Ava and Gil left, Harris told Jada that something was off about Gil. He asked her what she thought about it. She said he was being overprotective. He admitted that he might be overprotective. Gil questioned Ava about her relationship with Harris. She said they were close. She said it would be suspicious if she cut ties with him now. She said if he wanted her she was stuck with Harris too. He said her connection to Harris and the police department might help them get information about the police department. Brady saw Kristen at the Bistro. He started a fight with her about Rachel’s grades. He yelled at her for making Rachel do extra work. Kristen said she did it as a consequence for Rachel not doing her homework. He yelled at her until she told him she could punish her daughter any way she felt fit. She didn’t notice Stefan recording them.

Stephanie tried to get close to Chad, but he pulled away from her. She asked if she did something wrong. He told her it was Abby’s birthday. Stephanie said she forgot. She said it was thoughtless of her to forget. He agreed that it was. He said the day was hard for him. He said he wished he killed Clyde when he had the chance. She said Clyde was locked up and can’t hurt anyone. She said Chad is loved and needed by people. He apologized for pulling away from her. She said he didn’t have to apologize to her. He said he was going to visit Abby’s grave for a while. He didn’t want Stephanie to go with him. He said he needed to be alone with the kids. He hoped she understood. She said she did. Lucas called Chad. He wanted to check on Chad because of Abby. Lucas said he wished he could be there for him and the kids. He said he hoped Chad was with people who loved him. Lucas told him about his situation with Clyde. Chad told him to stay away from Clyde. He warned Lucas not to do anything stupid. Xander went to see Sarah at the Kiriakis mansion. She told Xander that she never thought he was a killer. She said she was afraid to let him back in her life after everything that happened. They got close and almost kissed each other until she pulled away. She said he was with Chloe. He said Chloe went to New York with Philip. He said that didn’t change anything between him and Sarah. She said she regretted keeping him in the dark about their daughter. She begged him to forgive her. She said it felt justified at the time. He struggled to understand her perspective. He said he loved her. She said she wanted him to be a part of Victoria’s life. She was interrupted when the phone rang. Justin told her Xander planned on filing for full custody of Victoria. He said Sloan was going to argue that she was an unfit parent. Sarah was upset and told Xander to leave. She didn’t want to see him again until they went to court.

Clyde read in the paper that Susan was alive. He read that Edmund didn’t know who sent Susan to him. He said he was the one who did it and the police would never find out. Lucas showed up and asked why he was talking to himself. Lucas reminded him that it was Abby’s birthday. He reminded Clyde that he murdered Abby in cold blood. Clyde said he didn’t intend to kill Abby. He said he was defending himself. Lucas wondered how he was able to live with himself. He said Clyde didn’t deserve to be alive. Clyde reminded him of the crimes he committed. He warned Lucas about making threats. Ava and Harris kissed each other. He told her he wanted to do that for a long time. She said she felt the same way. She said she tried to deny that she had romantic feelings for him. They both believe their feelings were more than platonic. She said they should put everything on hold until they get their lives back together. She said she doesn’t have any money and didn’t know what kind of job she could get. He said this is her chance to get a fresh start. He asked what she liked to do. She said she loved to cook. He said she could feed people for a living. She asked what he was going to do. He said Kate suggested that he become a cop. He said he had to talk to Rafe to see what he thought about it. She said he shouldn’t use her as a reference. She said she wasn’t Rafe’s favorite person.

She said Shawn cheated on her. Chloe told Brady that she was leaving town with Philip. Belle told Philip that Shawn cheated on her with Talia. Philip asked if she and Shawn were going to work things out. She said they weren’t going to work things out. She said she thought her marriage was over. Shawn asked Talia if she was there to see Jada. She said she was there to see him because Belle knew about them. She asked where things stood between them. He said he thought this might be Belle’s breaking point. Justin went to see Alex. Alex told him that he loved him and was grateful to him and his brothers. Justin was glad to hear it. He told Alex he loved him. Justin asked him about Maggie and taking her spot at Titan. Alex said he was Victor’s heir. Justin asked if he was going to take the mansion. Constantine told Maggie that Victor loved and cherished her. She said she appreciated him telling her that. She wanted to know why he was there. Talia apologized to Shawn for what he was going through. She thought that time would help it. She said she hated the fact that she was the reason why his marriage was over. He said his marriage was over before their affair. Belle told Philip that Shawn’s affair was her karma. She said people would say she got what she deserved. Philip said she didn’t deserve what happened to her. He told her to try and save her marriage. He said they have been through too much together. She agreed to try and save her marriage. Brady asked if Chloe was giving Philip another chance. She said they were going to New York together and they might get back together. She said Philip still loved her and she had unresolved feelings for him. He said he wanted her to be happy. He let her know that she was his first love and he would never get over her. Constantine gave Maggie a photo album with pictures of Victor in it.

Alex told Justin that he was making it seem as if he kicked Maggie to the curb. He said he offered Maggie a job. He said he was Victor’s heir. He said he would never do anything to hurt Maggie. He said he wouldn’t kick Maggie out since the mansion is half hers. He asked Justin if he believed him. He said he did. Alex said he wasn’t going to change. He was just trying to come to terms with it. Kate was upset with Philip for getting involved with Chloe. Brady told Chloe that he understood why their relationship didn’t work. He said he would be near Ciara. She said she would put in a leave of absence. He said he wasn’t going to be gone for a little while. He said he needed to do it without her. He said he was going to be focused on their marriage instead of himself. She asked if he couldn’t fix himself with her there. He said he couldn’t focus if she was there. He said he needed time away to work on his problems if they were going to work on their marriage. He said he hoped she understood. She said she didn’t like it but she got it. When Alex turned around, she was shocked that he was there. Bonnie and Kayla talked about Victor’s will. Bonnie told her Maggie was taken care of in the will and kicked Vivian out. She also told her Alex was Victor’s son. Alex told Stephanie that Victor left everything to him and Maggie. Stephanie wondered what happened with the rest of the family. He said Victor was his father. Maggie and Justin talked about Alex. She told him Alex told her the board would vote her out. She said Alex offered her a job but she didn’t take it. Justin said he couldn’t believe Alex would do that. He also couldn’t believe Victor would do this to them. Brady, Theresa and Tate came home from California. Kate told Chad that Sarah and Rex lied about the baby being Rex’s. She said Sarah and Rex were keeping Xander away from the baby. She was upset that she was stuck with a daughter-in-law she didn’t like. Kayla was shocked that Victor was Alex’s father. She couldn’t believe Victor would do that to Justin. Philip said he understood why Sarah wanted to keep the baby away from Xander. He wondered if she still had feelings for Xander. Rex said she only felt disgust for Xander. He said unless Susan came back from the dead, Sarah would never let Xander be in her or the baby’s life. Rex said Chloe overhearing them talking complicated things, but he wasn’t blaming her. He asked if Chloe overheard Philip say he loved her. Philip said she took it well. He said she told him her feelings for him came back when she saw him again. Rex said he always thought he and Chloe were meant to be together. Philip agreed with him. Philip said he lost his way and never wanted to do it again. Rex wondered what that meant for him and Chloe. Philip said he was going to let her decide who she was going to be with. When Philip left, Kate showed up to talk about Rex’s relationship with Sarah. Rex said he didn’t want to hear what she had to say. He got a text from Xander saying he wanted to talk. He left to find Xander. EJ met with Bronson at the DiMera mansion. He said he had a new job for Bronson. He said he wanted him to kill Ava since the last person didn’t do it. Bronson said he would do it but he needed to know where she was. EJ said he had people working on finding her. He had something else for him to do. He wanted him to kill Xander for helping Ava kill his mother. Bronson asked if it was smart since the Salem PD suspected him of sending the hitwoman after Ava. EJ wasn’t worried about that. He said they were going to frame Rex since he hated Xander. He said he had no feelings for Rex either way so he was expendable. Bronson agreed to do the job.

Chloe talked to her mother on the phone when Xander came home. She wondered where he was. He said he slept at the office so he could figure things out. He said he planned to sue Sarah for custody. He wanted her to be by his side. He apologized to her for not being able to go to New York right now. He said he loved her and wanted to marry her. She told him she didn’t want to marry him anymore. She told him she still had feelings for Philip. She said she loved him but they were in love with other people. She said they were using their relationship to hide from it. He told her he didn’t want to be with Sarah. Chloe said he was just angry now but when he calmed down he would change his mind. Bronson showed up dressed as a worker from the gas company. He told Xander there was a gas leak reported. He asked if he could come in and check it. Xander let him come in and check it. Bronson pulled out a gun when someone knocked on the door. It was Rex. Xander wanted to know what Rex wanted. Chloe and Philip met each other. She told him she wanted to tell him in person that she was leaving Salem. Ava asked Susan to send a psychic message to anyone who could get them out. Susan got an image of Edmund holding a gun on Rafe and Tripp. Ava panicked and asked Harris to do something to save her son. Harris tried to break the chains holding him. Susan wanted Ava to pray with her that the chains would open. The chains ended up breaking. Edmund put a gun to Rafe and Tripp. He said if he let them search his house, they would find his guests. Tripp asked who his guests were. Edmund said Ava and Harris were his guests. Edmund was shocked to find out Tripp was Ava’s son. Rafe tried to stop him from shooting Tripp. Edmund said he would shoot him too. Harris showed up and stopped Edmund from shooting them. Harris and Edmund fought over the gun. Harris got the gun from Edmund. Rafe asked Harris for the gun. Harris gave it to him. Harris took Tripp to free Ava.

Tripp said they weren’t running. He said they were looking for Susan. He told Rafe that Ava got her memory back when Marlena hypnotized her. He said the visions led her to London. He said they have all agreed to keep it a secret. Philip said he would keep it a secret. Rex said he appreciated him keeping the secret since it could be his chance to get Chloe back. Philip said he wasn’t going down that road again. He said he has accepted that she is with Xander. Rex asked him to officiate his wedding. Philip left to get ordained. Rex left to get Sarah and the baby from the hospital. Xander went to see Sarah at the hospital. He wanted to check on her and the baby. She said they were both fine. He read that Victor left personal effects to various family members. He read that Victor left everything including controlling interest in Titan to a son he has never acknowledged. He was doing this to make up for never acknowledging his son. He planned to tell him when he got back to Salem. The name of the son was in a note. They were shocked when they saw the note. The son turned out to be Alex.

He said she was looking for evidence that he tried to have Ava killed. She asked if she would have found any evidence. He said he left the phone there to trap her. He said Tripp put her up to snooping in his office. She said Tripp didn’t want her to do it. She told him she thought he sent the hitwoman after Ava. She said he didn’t need to do that because Susan was alive. She told him Ava remembered seeing Susan outside of the car before it exploded. He said he didn’t believe her. He asked how she knew what Ava remembered. He realized she must have seen Ava since she broke out of Bayview. He thought Wendy knew where Ava was. She said she didn’t know where Ava was. He ended up firing. When EJ went to the mansion, he told Johnny that he fired Wendy. He told Johnny that Wendy said Susan was alive, Johnny wondered if it could be true. EJ said he didn’t believe it. Rafe told Tripp he was going to charge him with aiding and abetting if he didn’t tell him the names on the passports. Tripp tried to brush Rafe off. When Rafe said he thought Wendy made the passports, Tripp said he did it. He said he learned how to do it by watching a YouTube video. Rafe said he didn’t believe him, He threatened to send Trask after Wendy. When Rafe was about to call Trask, Tripp told him to hang up the phone. Rafe hung up the phone. He said if Tripp told him where Ava and Harris were, he wouldn’t have to go after Wendy. Later on, Tripp and Wendy met at the hospital. She told him what happened with EJ. Tripp said he felt bad that she got fired. She said she told him the truth about Susan being alive, He said he understood why she told him. He told her about Rafe questioning him and what he said to him.

Jada asked Talia if she slept with Shawn. Talia tried to evade the question, but Jada kept pushing the issue. Talia admitted to sleeping with Shawn. Jada was appalled. She reminded Talia that everything was going well for her. Talia told her that Chanel dumped her for Johnny. Talia said she felt bad. She said she didn’t understand how she ended up sleeping with him. She told Jada what happened between her and Shawn. Jada asked if she thought about Belle. Talia said she wasn’t thinking about anything but feeling better. She beat herself up for what she did. She said she and Shawn knew they made a mistake. She wanted to know where they would go from here. He admitted to having a problem and said it was too big for him to handle it alone. She was convinced that he was sincere. He said he would call Brady and go to a meeting with him. She said he was in Greece. He asked her to go to a meeting with him. She agreed to go.

She said she didn’t like it, but she agreed with him. She said once she had control over DiMera, they wouldn’t need Dimitri’s money. He sent Dimitri a text. He asked Dimitri about his decision. Kristen was shocked that Gwen knew about Leo and Dimitri. Gwen told her how she figured it out. She said she brushed off their interactions at first but everything fell into place in Iceland. She said she eavesdropped on Kristen and Dimitri when she was supposed to be packing. She said she knows about the inheritance. Kristen told her Dimitri and Leo are in love. She suggested that they team up and take Dimitri and Leo down. Gwen agreed to do it. Leo yelled at Dimitri for cheating on him with Gwen. He told Dimitri about his visit with Gwen. Dimitri said she was lying. He said they haven’t slept together since they have been back. He said he loved Leo. Leo said he loved him too. Dimitri told him Gabi and Stefan knew about them and are blackmailing him.

Leo asked Dimitri what he was going to do about Gabi and Stefan. Dimitri said he was going to kill them. Leo thought he was joking, but realized he wasn’t. He tried to talk Dimitri out of killing them. Dimitri said it was something he had to do. He reminded Leo about who he is. He said Leo didn’t have to have any part of it. He said he would take care of everything, Brady and Alex asked Konstantin about his visit with Victor. Konstantin didn’t give them that much information. He said Victor mentioned looking for a letter. Brady said he remembered Kayla finding old letters from Victor’s childhood home. Konstantin took them to the house, but when they found the box, it was empty. Theresa was shocked to find Shane at the door. He was shocked to see her. He couldn’t believe she followed Brady. She said she was there to help. He was able to see through her. She ended up telling the truth. He told her to move on from Brady and find someone who would appreciate her. She said she hoped Brady would see her for who she was now. She told Shane about her plan to use Alex. He told her she shouldn’t do that. He said if Brady couldn’t see how wonderful she was, he didn’t deserve her. She saw the briefcase he was carrying. She said she would buy him a nice one. He said it was recovered from Victor’s plane. He said it had legal documents and personal papers. He told her to give it to Brady and Alex. She told him she would give them the briefcase. When Shane left, she opened the case and went through it.

A security guard came in the room with a gun. He called for backup. Ava didn’t put her gun down. She told the guard that it was self-defense. The guard didn’t want to hear what she had to say. Harris told Ava to put her gun down. She said she couldn’t go to jail. She said she would shoot the guard if she had to go to jail. She said they wouldn’t believe that the shooting was self-defense. Harris continued to convince her to put the gun down. The guard put his gun down. Harris put the gun on the guard. He told the guard they were leaving. EJ texted Joyce to get an update. He was upset when he didn’t hear from her. Johnny came in and wondered what he was waiting for. EJ thought about his conversation with Joyce. He lied to Johnny, He said Gabi hit one of the cars. He said he was waiting to hear from the mechanic. He started yelling about Gabi. Johnny told him to calm down.

EJ and Johnny talked about the baby. EJ asked Johnny if he wanted to have kids with Chanel. EJ asked if Johnny took Nicole’s advice and told Chanel how he felt. Johnny said Talia interrupted them before he could tell her. EJ told him to fight for Chanel. Johnny was surprised that he wanted him to be with Chanel. EJ said he changed his mind. While Chanel and Talia were on a date, Kayla called and told her to come to the hospital. Talia thought she didn’t get the job. Chanel told her it might not have been. Talia went to the hospital. Kayla told her that she got the job. Rafe showed up, he put an APB out on Ava and Harris. Kayla told him what was going on with Joyce. She said the injury was bad so Joyce had to go to surgery. Rafe said he and Jada had to talk to her as soon as possible. Kayla said she would keep them updated. They found out Joyce didn’t work at Bayview. Jada noticed that Joyce had a burner phone. She said there was only one number on the phone, but it was blocked. They read the messages, but didn’t know they were from EJ. EJ got a notification that there was a shooting at Bayview. He thought Ava was dead. Johnny went to see Chanel. He said he was still in love with her. He said he couldn’t keep it quiet anymore. Talia showed up to tell her the good news. She was surprised to see Johnny. He said he had to go. Harris and Ava went to the park. She said she wasn’t going back to the police. He said he had another idea. She followed him. They went to a motel. He wondered who would have sent Joyce after her. Ava thought it was EJ.

Kristen was there when Gwen and Dimitri came home. Gwen told her she knew everything. Dimitri came up with a story to cover up what Gwen was saying. He said he and Kristen needed to have a strategy session regarding their DiMera stock. Gwen left to unpack so they could talk. Kristen told him why Elliot was there. Dimitri was worried about how he was going to convince Elliot that his marriage was real without Gwen wondering what was going on. Kristen left him so he could figure it out. Gwen came back and noticed that he was upset. He said he was upset because of business. He said he was going for a walk to clear his head.

Stefan played 20 Questions with Rachel. She told him Dimitri had a sleepover with someone. Kristen showed up before Rachel could tell him anything else. Kristen got Rachel away from Stefan. When Gabi came home, Stefan told her he almost had the information they needed. She told him not to worry because she found out everything from Elliot. Dimitri went to Leo’s room. He said he was concerned about Elliot and the codicil. Dimitri told him what was going on. They tried to come up with a plan. Dimitri said he could hire someone to pretend to be Gwen. He said he needed someone he could trust. Leo said he would do it. Chad and Stephanie were having breakfast when Alex showed up. He wanted to talk to Stephanie about handling a business deal. Chad asked if he was going to shut himself off and be alone. Alex said he planned on doing that. He told them he felt guilty about the way he left things with Victor and Maggie before Victor died. Chad told him the best way to make it up with Victor was to fix things with Maggie. Alex agreed to fix things.

Belle was shocked that Chloe was thinking about accepting Xander’s proposal. Chloe said she didn’t have a reason not to accept it. Brady showed up. He was upset with Chloe for considering Xander’s proposal. He told her Xander punched him. Chloe yelled at him for fighting about her when Victor was dead. Brady asked Belle about Shawn. She said he blamed himself for Victor’s death. She said he wished he were with Brady and Xander when they talked. She got a text and had to leave. She told him to stop harassing Chloe before she left. He told Chloe that he was jealous, He said Xander proposed to her because he couldn’t have Sarah. She said she and Xander were in love with other people when they got together. She said they fell in love despite their baggage. Eric found Shawn drinking. Eric offered his condolences about Victor. He said he didn’t understand why Belle wasn’t with Shawn. Shawn said it didn’t matter. Shawn said Victor’s death was his fault. Eric tried to tell him that it wasn’t true, but it didn’t work. Eric offered to take Shawn home, but Shawn didn’t want to go. They got into an argument when Belle showed up and stopped them. Eric left so they could talk. She told Shawn that she wasn’t leaving him alone to deal with everything.

Melinda went to see Sloan so she could pay her back for the favor she owed her. Sloan thought it was blackmail. Melinda told Sloan about Abe’s plan to appoint Paulina as mayor. Sloan thought Paulina would fire her for going after Chanel. She told Sloan that she had a plan, but she needed her help. Melinda said her plan was to after Li for shooting Stefan. She thought once he found out he was being investigated, he would hire Sloan as his lawyer. She said Sloan could give her the evidence from what she finds out from Li. Sloan said she wasn’t going along with the plan because she could lose her license or go to jail. Melinda tried to change her mind. When Sloan wouldn’t do it, Melinda threatened to tell Eric the truth about Nicole’s baby if she didn’t help her. Sloan told Melinda to leave. Sloan said she would tell Eric the truth herself so it couldn’t be held over her head. She thought they could work it out because she was pregnant with his child too. Melinda said she would lose Eric. Sloan wanted to do things her way. When Eric came home, Sloan told him she had to tell him something. Xander went to the Kiriakis mansion and found Sarah. He was shocked to find out that she was pregnant. He thought the baby was his. He couldn’t believe she didn’t tell him. She said the baby was Rex’s. He didn’t believe her, but she stuck to her story. She mentioned his relationship with Chloe. He told her he proposed to Chloe. When Xander left, Sarah called Rex and accepted his proposal. When Xander went home, Chloe accepted his proposal.

Rachel told Kristen that she saw Dimitri and Leo in bed together. Kristen told her that was a secret. She told Rachel not to tell anyone because there was a lot of money involved. Gabi heard some of the conversation. When Kristen went to check on Chad’s kids, Gabi confronted Rachel about the secret. Rachel was willing to play a game with Gabi. Their game was interrupted when Kristen came back. Gwen was shocked to see Dimitri in the hotel room with Leo. Leo lied and said he was there to see Madonna in concert. Gwen said they should all go to the concert. Dimitri said he didn’t want to go. He suggested she go with Leo. Leo said the concert was sold out and he only had one ticket. Leo left the room. John found Brady in Rachel’s room. They talked about how much Brady missed her. John said he understood. He comforted Brady. They ended up talking about Victor. Brady said he was going to check on Maggie. John said he would talk to Shane to see if there was any new information.

Chad went to Alex’s apartment. Alex tried to apologize to him, but Chad stopped him. Chad said he owed him the apology. He said he let jealousy get in the way. Stephanie showed up to talk to Alex. Chad left to pick up the kids. Alex told Stephanie about what was going on with Victor. She called her father to find out what was going on. Justin told Maggie about the plane being found. He and Brady tried to keep her hopes up by talking about Victor being resourceful. John showed up and said Victor’s body was found in the wreckage of the plane. It was confirmed that the body was Victor. Stephanie tells Alex the news about Victor. She hugged him. Maggie fell in Justin’s arms. John comforted Brady.

He asked her to give him another chance. She said she was committed to her relationship with Xander. She said she hasn’t decided to marry Xander. She told him she wanted to be friends with him. He said he would understand her relationship with Xander. They agreed to be friends. Shawn and Belle talked about Rafe and Jada’s reactions to him being commissioner. They also talked about Brady losing custody of Rachel to Kristen. At the Kiriakis mansion, Justin told everyone about Victor’s plane being missing. Maggie asked him if he thought the plane crashed. Justin said he didn’t know. He said Victor didn’t file a flight plan when he went to see Bo in case Megan was watching his travel trying to get to Bo. Belle told Shawn about Xander proposing to Chloe. Shawn was shocked that Chloe was considering it. Maggie tried to call Victor but couldn’t reach him. She called Shawn and asked him to call his mother to see if Victor was still with her and Bo. Hope told Shawn that Victor left three days ago. Shawn told Maggie what Hope said. The Kiriakis’ talked about what could have happened to Victor. Justin said he would call Shane to see if he could find out anything.

Shawn and Belle talked about his conversation with Hope and Victor. Maggie told everyone to go home. She said she would keep them updated. Xander asked her what she wanted to tell him earlier. She lied and said she didn’t remember. Shawn told Belle about the way he and Victor left things. He wondered what would happen if they never got a chance to fix things. She told him that wouldn’t happen. Shane called Justin and told him Victor’s plane was found. He said there was no word on any survivors. Gabi opened her wedding gifts and found bulletproof vests. She saw that they were from Julie and Doug. Li showed up with a gift for Gabi. She asked if it had a bomb in it. He said he wouldn’t hurt her. She accused him of being behind what happened with Harris. Li said he had nothing to do with it. Stefan went to see Melinda to find out the status of the investigation against Li. She said she couldn’t do anything without evidence. He said she didn’t want to prosecute him because she is dating him. Li told Gabi that he wanted to be friends. She said that wouldn’t happen. She said she wanted to see him in jail. He told her he wouldn’t be in jail. She asked if it was because he was screwing Melinda. He said he wasn’t sleeping with her. She asked if he was trying to romance her so he could get out of going to jail. He said that wasn’t a bad idea. He said he was trying to move on. She told him to stay out of her life.

Shawn told Belle about his promotion. She was concerned about him being the new commissioner. He said the acting mayor didn’t give him a choice because he wasn’t going to let him be a detective again if he didn’t take the job. She said he would make a great commissioner. Rafe and Jada talked about Shawn being commissioner. He said he didn’t like it, but there was nothing he could do about it. He said he had to move on. She said she was more qualified for the job than Shawn. Rafe said she was right. They talked about her old job and what led her to come to Salem. She said she had to go to work for someone who was a drunk. Shawn and Belle were behind her.

John saw Brady packing up Rachel’s things so he could take her to the DiMera mansion. He told John about his frustrations over the judge granting Kristen joint custody. John told him about going on the run with Rachel. Brady denied taking her on the run. John said he had software that notified him anytime unusual activity went on in the apartment. Brady admitted to taking Rachel on the run. John tried to talk him out of it. Brady left the apartment. Kristen and EJ talked about their good news. Chad brought the kids over for a sleepover with Rachel. Chad and EJ talked to each other. Kristen took the kids so they could see the new room she set up. Chad thanked EJ for his advice about Alex. Chad told him that the advice worked. Kristen overheard them talking. She said the plan didn’t make sense. She warned Chad that it was going to blow up in his face. Chad ended up leaving. Kristen was worried when Brady was late bringing Rachel to the mansion. She was upset and called Belle. She told Belle to call the judge and the police. Kristen heard Rachel call out to her. Kristen and Rachel hugged each other while Brady watched.

Sarah was surprised to see Maggie in her apartment. Maggie told Sarah that she knew what she was hiding. Sarah was scared until Maggie told her she knew that she was dating Rex and was keeping it from her. Sarah tried to go with Maggie’s theory so she wouldn’t lie to her. Maggie told her to put the grocery bag down so they could talk. When Sarah put the bag down, Maggie found out Sarah was pregnant. Maggie thought the baby was Rex’s until she realized it could be Xander’s. Maggie noticed the look on Sarah’s face. Maggie thought it was Xander’s baby and Sarah knows that it’s his. Sarah tried to tell her why she was keeping the baby a secret from Xander, but Maggie said it wasn’t a good idea. Sarah said he couldn’t know the truth. She asked Maggie not to tell him. Maggie agreed to keep the secret. She told Sarah that he has moved on with Chloe. Gwen knocked on Leo’s door. She wanted to come inside. Leo and Dimitri panicked. Gwen kept knocking on the door. Leo answered the door in a towel. He told her he was busy but she came in the room. She was surprised to see his bed being messy. He said that was why he didn’t want to let her in the room. She told him she wanted to tell him goodbye. They said they were going to miss each other. Gwen heard a noise in the bathroom and realized Leo wasn’t alone. She thought the man he was texting was in the bathroom. She said she wanted to meet him, but Leo didn’t want her to. He said the guy is married. He said he didn’t want his lover’s wife to find out. He told her he felt guilty. She comforted him and told him he deserved happiness. She said she hoped he would find someone like Dimitri.

Chloe was shocked that Xander was proposing to her. She thought it had something to do with Gwen getting married. He said it didn’t. He said he saw Gwen and told her he was happy for her. He said he told Maggie that he has moved on when she told him Sarah was with Rex. Chloe told him she couldn’t marry him. She said it was too soon. She thought he was being reactionary. He tried to convince her to marry him. He said he was proposing to her because he loved her and wanted to have a life with her. She said she needed to think about it. Eric asked Sloan and Melinda what secret they were keeping from him. Melinda told him Sloan talked to the judge in Colin’s case without her present which wasn’t allowed, but Melinda wasn’t going to say anything. He thanked Melinda for her discretion. Sloan walked Melinda out. Sloan told her she wouldn’t say anything. When Sloan went back in the apartment, she saw Eric on his knees. He asked her to marry him. She accepted his proposal. Nicole told EJ that Eric was going to propose to Sloan. EJ proposed to Nicole. She thought he was proposing because Eric was proposing to Sloan. EJ pulled a ring out of the drawer. He said he was waiting for the right moment to propose to her. She accepted his proposal.
