Marlena noticed that Eric had a black eye. He told him about the fight he got into with EJ because he slept with Nicole. Marlena thought that it meant more than he was telling her. He blamed it on the drugs. Marlena researched the drugs and said that it wouldn’t cause an increase in libido. She wanted to take him to the E.R. for stitches. EJ was upset about the way Gabi was acting about Nicole being in the hospital. He grabbed her arm as she was about to leave, but Stefan walked in the room. He demanded that EJ take his hands off of her. Gabi noticed EJ’s red knuckles. EJ said it was an accident and left for the hospital. Gabi hoped that Nicole was seriously sick. Kayla reminded Nicole that the pill isn’t completely effective. She advised her to go to her OBGYN since she’s had trouble carrying to term. She said the pregnancy is dangerous and she doesn’t know who the father is. Kate recognized her captor. She knew him based on his reputation. He introduced himself as Dimitri von Leuschner. She realized that he was Carly and Frankie’s cousin. She remembered that he posed as an ISA agent named Kyle Graham. He thought Billie told her about him. He told her everything that happened. Kate wondered why he wasn’t in jail. He didn’t tell her.

EJ went to Nicole’s exam room. Kayla left the room. Nicole lied to EJ and told him that she ate something that didn’t agree with her. EJ found it hard to believe that she rushed to the hospital for a stomach ache. She wanted to know if he was accusing her of lying. He said it was possible since she lied about sleeping with Eric. Nicole tried to deny it, but he knew everything. He admitted that he took his anger out on Eric. He said he went home to confront her about it. His anger disappeared when he found out she was in the hospital. He wanted to know if she was okay. She assured him that she was fine. Dimitri told Kate that she’s valuable as a hostage. She told him to call Roman or Chad to get the ransom money. He wasn’t ready to make demands yet. He told her that her being there was part of a bigger plan. He wanted to dance with her, but she pulled a knife on him. Kayla hid a file under her arm as Eric and Marlena came off the elevator. He was happy to see Kayla. Marlena was happy to see her too. She hugged her and the file fell on the floor. Eric was about to pick up the file when Kayla told him to leave it. She called someone to do Eric’s stitches. Eric ran into EJ at the hospital. He told Eric that he and Nicole worked things out. He wanted to pretend her one-night stand with him didn’t happen. Kayla went back to Nicole’s exam room. Nicole wanted to know how long it would be before she found out the father of her baby. Kayla thought they should do a blood test in a few weeks. She said they will need a DNA sample from one of the possible fathers. She said that no one could know about her pregnancy until she found out who the father is.

EJ wasn’t happy to see Gabi and Stefan making out on the couch. Gabi told him that she evaluated the employees. They didn’t want to work with him. He accused her of lying. She continued to list his faults. EJ didn’t think anyone would care what she thought about him. Stefan told him the board would care about it. EJ reminded him that Nicole was evaluating him too. He said she was going to report it to him. He walked out of the room. Nicole saw Eric and Sloan together. She rolled her eyes when she saw them kissing each other. After Sloan left, Nicole approached Eric. She thought they weren’t a couple. Eric told her they made up. She badmouthed Sloan and told him to make sure that Sloan doesn’t tell EJ that they slept together. Chanel talked to Paulina about Talia. Paulina was surprised that Talia was going out with her because she thought she was straight. Chanel thought she was too until she kissed her. Paulina wondered if she was ready to start dating after what happened with Allie. She missed Allie, but she was ready to move on with her life. She promised to take things slow with Talia. Paulina warned her that people aren’t who they seem to be. Colin told Talia that Chanel wouldn’t be able to resist her. She didn’t think she could go through with the plan. He tried to convince her to finish what they started. Jada was upset that Talia had a key made near the Square. Rafe followed her and reminded her that they didn’t have proof that Talia was responsible for the attacks against Paulina and Chanel. Jada was convinced that her sister was guilty. She could go to prison. Rafe reminded her that she didn’t have a motive so the culprit could be anyone. He took her hand and assured her they would figure it out.

Talia walked in the room so Rafe and Jada took their hands apart. Jada asked Talia if she attacked Paulina’s office. Rafe tried to stop her, but she kept talking to Talia about it. Talia was offended by what Jada said. She said that she had the key made that day. Jada wanted to know why she didn’t say anything about it before. Jada told her that she has been forgetting a lot of things lately. Jada followed her to test the key. Colin saw Sloan with a client. The client wasn’t sure if she should be represented by Sloan since she was in trouble. Colin looked at his phone and saw Talia’s text. Later, Talia met with Colin at the Bistro. She told him about her conversation with Jada. He believed that she could handle it. She was worried that Chanel would catch on that she’s not into women. Chanel walked in the Bistro. Sloan walked into EJ at the pub. She introduced herself to him, but he remembered meeting her before. She remembered how painful their meeting was, but it wasn’t as painful as catching Eric and Nicole in bed together. EJ was devastated by her admission. She apologized because she thought he knew about it. She said it was the drugged biscuits. She told him that it didn’t mean anything. Jada asked Rafe what he thought about Talia’s story. He thought it was strange, but they didn’t have a motive for her being the one who did it. He wanted to know why she would attack Paulina and Chanel.

Alex talked to Maggie about focusing on Titan. Victor called her to let her know that Bo was alive. He was going to Greece to be with Bo. Alex was surprised that Victor was going to Greece to be with his son. Alex thought she should go with him. He would take care of the business. Maggie wasn’t sure she should do that considering what happened the last time he was in charge of the business. Alex admitted he made mistakes in the past. He said his family was more important. Maggie agreed to go, but she warned him that it was his last chance. Leo tried to console Gwen. She was upset that Xander and Chloe were moving in together. He wanted to make her feel better so he wanted to order some food, but she reminded him they were spending too much money. She told him about the deep connection she felt with Xander. He told her that he never felt that way before. She hopes he gets it one day. Brady tried to stop Chloe from moving in with Xander. She told him that she’s lonely and he would be good company. She said it was her mistake to make. She knew it affected Brady too. She said she loved him, but it wasn’t enough. She said they were finished. She said they were done ever since Rachel started hating her. She doesn’t blame him for putting Rachel first. She knew it was Kristen’s fault. She felt responsible for Rachel’s attitude. She didn’t want to continue like that. Brady understood, but he wanted to know if they were really over. She started crying and told him that she would always love him. He said he would always love her too.

Xander wanted to know why Colin was trying to get into the bakery room. Colin says Xander had the wrong room, but he was sure he saw Talia there. Colin argued with Xander before he went to his room. Chanel pulled away from Talia’s kiss. She didn’t know Talia was into girls. She said she only dated guys before, but she felt a strong connection between them. She thought it felt right to kiss Chanel. Chanel thought it felt right too. She wondered if Chanel was over Allie. Chanel thought it was time to move on. She kissed Talia. Talia flashed back to her conversation with Colin. Talia backed away from Chanel. She wanted to know what was wrong. Talia reminded her that she was her boss. Chanel said there was nothing keeping her from going out with her. She said that Talia might not have a job anymore if she lost the store. Colin texted Talia to find out how things were going. Talia told Chanel that it was a spam text and they could go out to eat. Jada told Rafe that Talia had the same opportunity Sloan did to get Paulina’s keys. Rafe told her that Talia didn’t have a motive for what she did to Paulina and Chanel. He said someone would have more time to copy the keys before Paulina saw them. Jada told him there was a hardware store in the square. Talia went to see Colin. He told her what he wanted her to do. Rafe and Jada talked to an older man about seeing Sloan at the hardware store. They showed him Sloan’s picture and he didn’t recognize her. Jada showed him Talia’s picture. He remembered her because she was in a rush.

Belle went to see EJ. She couldn’t believe his emergency was about getting Gabi out of DiMera Enterprises. She reminded him about what Shawn was going through. EJ wanted to know what happened. She told him that Shawn accidentally shot Bo. He said that it sounded like Shawn screwed up. Belle punched him and called him an insensitive jerk. She was about to leave when he stopped her. He apologized for what he said. He offered to send her out to be with Shawn. She thought that it was a generous offer, but she had a trial. He said the offer was still there if she wanted it. He said he would handle Gabi. Harris turned his hotel key back in and ran into Shawn. He wanted to know if there was a change in Bo’s condition. Shawn told him the doctor wasn’t sure when he will come out of his coma. Harris apologized, but Shawn blamed himself for what happened. Harris said his actions led to what happened to Bo. Shawn agreed that some of what happened was his fault, but he was the one who shot his father. Harris thought he should pay for keeping Hope in the dark about Bo. Shawn told him that what he did wasn’t illegal so he didn’t commit a crime. Harris said he paid for it by losing Hope. Shawn wondered what he expected. He asked Harris if he expected him to feel sorry for him. Harris knew he had to live with what he did for the rest of his life. Shawn left to take a shower.

Kayla left to tell Hope that Kate was still alive. Steve and Andrew assured Roman they would help him find Kate. They realized she took a boat to get to one of the islands. They thought it was strange that she didn’t reach out to anyone once she arrived on land. Andrew thought the sea might have overpowered her, but Roman believed Kate was alive. Andrew let to get help. Kate wondered why she was on the fish boat. A man approached her and she thanked him for saving her. She asked him for a phone. He wanted to know how much she would pay for it. She reminded him that she didn’t have any money at the time. She said she would pay him when she got home. He motioned to her ring. Kate made the trade. He told her that she was only allowed to make a call. She made her call, but no one answered. She wanted to try again, but the man said she was only allowed one phone call. He told her to go back to work. Belle called Shawn. He told her about Bo squeezing his mother’s hand. He said he wasn’t expected to wake up any time soon. She told him not to give up. He wasn’t going to give up, but things were hard for him. Kayla found Chad and told him that Bo didn’t kill Kate. She told him that Kate was alive. Chad was excited and wanted to see her. They went inside to get more information from Steve and Roman. Andrew met Harris in the hotel lobby. Andrew said he needed his help finding Kate. Harris wanted to know why he needed his help. Andrew asked him if he wanted a chance to redeem himself.

Roman found Steve and Kayla in the waiting room. Kayla wanted to know if Roman wanted to see Bo. He wasn’t ready to see him yet. Kayla walked away. Steve told Roman that he was worried about Shawn. He didn’t know how he could live with shooting his father. Hope woke up from a dream about Bo. She begged him to wake up for her. Kayla showed up and scanned Bo’s chart. She said Bo had a tough fight ahead of him, but he was strong. She said that everyone was praying for him. Shawn was upset about shooting Bo. Ciara approached him and gave him a hug. She asked if their father was really alive. He said he wasn’t thanks to him. Ciara assured him that no one blamed him for what happened. He couldn’t face their parents after what he did. She said to take his time. After her conversation with Shawn, she went to Bo’s room. She sat by Bo’s side and told him that she loved him. Kayla wondered if she saw Shawn. Ciara told Kayla that he blamed himself for what happened. Shawn arrived and let them know he was there. Andrew arrived at Harris’ room. Harris apologized for what his family was dealing with now. Andrew assured him that it wasn’t his fault. Harris told him what happened. Harris thought he was there to arrest him. Andrew was surprised because he was there to thank him for what he did to Thomas. He said that his lie by omission isn’t a crime. Harris wished the rest of his family felt that way.

Steve assumed Roman didn’t want to see Bo because of what he did to Kate. Roman knew Bo was brainwashed, but he didn’t think he could look him in the eye again after what he did to Kate. Shawn apologized to Hope for what he did to Bo. She knew he shot Bo because he was protecting her. She said that Bo would have wanted him to do that. Shawn felt like he should be comforting her. She assured him that she was fine. Ciara knew it wasn’t true. She wanted to know the last time Hope ate or slept. Hope agreed to go to the hotel across the street. Shawn and Ciara refused to leave Bo’s side. After Hope left, Shawn sat by Bo’s side. He begged him to come back to them. Ciara let Shawn know that she talked to Chelsea. Her obstetrician wanted her to stay in bed. Ciara told Bo that he had more grandchildren coming. Shawn hoped he would get to see them. Ciara was sure he would recover and see his grandchildren. Kayla met up with Steve and Roman. She urged Roman to go see Bo. Roman was about to see him when Andrew arrived at the hospital. He showed them the chip the doctor found in Bo’s brain. Kayla wondered if they could access the chip’s memory. Hope ran into Harris in the hotel lobby. He let her know that he was leaving. She wanted to know why he didn’t tell her about Bo. He said he was selfish. He knew he screwed up, but he thought they had a chance at something real. He didn’t want to let it go. He cared about her. She cared about him too, but Bo is the love of her life. She said goodbye to him and left. Roman went to Bo’s room. He assured Shawn that what happened wasn’t his fault. He blamed Megan for everything that happened including what happened to Kate. He sat by Bo’s side and begged him to come back to the family. Hope went back to the hospital and wanted more time alone with Bo. She pleaded with Bo to open his eyes so she could tell him that she loved and missed him. Nurse Angela arrived and told her not to give up on Bo. She told the nurse that she would never give up on Bo. It was hard for her to see Bo like that. Angela told her to keep holding out for her hero until the last piece of sand was in the hourglass. After Angela disappeared, Hope got in the bed with Bo. She would hold out for her hero for as long as it took. Bo’s fingers twitched. He told her that he loved her. She said she missed him and told him to come back to her. Andrew, Steve, Kayla and Roman watched the chip that was in Bo’s head. They saw that he shot over Kate’s head. He told her to run before it was too late. Roman was happy that Kate was alive. Kate was seen chopping the head off a fish.

EJ thought about Nicole talking about her secret with someone on the phone. Nicole walked in the room and wondered if something was wrong with him. He gave her an excuse for what was wrong with him. Stefan and Gabi walked in the room. He didn’t hesitate to let EJ know that he hired Gabi as his consultant. He let him know what she will be doing at the company. He let EJ know that Gabi was going to evaluate him. EJ said if something was wrong with the company it was Stefan’s fault. He offered Nicole the same position so she could evaluate Stefan. She reminded him about her job at Basic Black. EJ wanted her to make great use of her talents. She accepted the position. After their conversation with Stefan and Gabi, EJ and Nicole praised each other for their performances. They hugged each other, but they had concerned looks on their faces. Sloan was upset that she was blamed for what happened at Sweet Biscuits. Melinda showed up and went off about the situation. Sloan was upset that she accused her without evidence. She knew that Sloan was the only one who hated Chanel enough to set her up. Eric said she didn’t have proof and what she was doing was considered slander. Melinda was going to make her pay since she was a victim of the biscuits.

Rafe assured Jada that the drugs wore off. Abe arrived and wanted to know why there weren’t any arrests made in the Sweet Bits situation. He said Chanel was the only one who paid the price for what happened since her career is in jeopardy. He wanted to know why Sloan wasn’t arrested yet. Rafe let him know they didn’t have evidence against her yet. Rafe thought the situation was too personal to Abe. He agreed that it was, but he loved his family and the town. Sloan thanked Eric for having his back with Melinda. She was scared and wondered who really drugged the biscuits. Eric said they had to find out who the intended target was. Sloan wondered if she were the target or was Chanel the target. Talia walked up to Chanel and noticed that no one was taking any food from her. Talia blamed herself for that, but Chanel told her that it wasn’t her fault. Chanel told her that she wasn’t the one who drugged the biscuits. Talia thought about drugging the dough. Chanel told her that she wouldn’t be able to keep her as an employee. She would ask Tripp to get her a job at the hospital, but she said she’s a baker now. Chanel didn’t want her working for free, but Talia believed in her. She thought it was meant to be to work for her. Later on, Rafe and Jada question Talia and Chanel. They told the police their versions of what happened leading up to the drugging. Melinda approached them while they were interrogating Jada and Talia. Rafe and Jada told her there was a 12-hour window when the dough was unattended. Melinda told them that Sloan had an alibi for that time. Melinda wondered if they had other suspects. Jada said they were working on it. Talia was around the corner while they were talking. Rafe and Jada compared notes from their interviews with Chanel and Talia. Jada realized that Talia’s story didn’t add up. Talia knocked on someone’s door. A bearded man answered the door. He wondered what took her so long to get there. He gave her a passionate kiss.

Hope was emotional when she saw Bo come through the door. She couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw him. She kissed and hugged him, but he didn’t respond to her. She couldn’t believe that Harris didn’t tell her that he was alive. Bo told her that he was the one who told him not to say anything. Shawn arrived at Harris’ place looking for Hope. Harris told him where she was. Shawn was shocked when he found out that Bo was alive. Kayla and Stephanie had a reunion at the lab. Bo told Hope that he was done with his old life in Salem. She couldn’t believe that. He said he wasn’t going back to Salem or her. She didn’t want to accept that because she knew they were the loves of each others’ lives. He told her that Steve was in the wine cellar. She wanted to check on him, but he told her not to do it. He put his gun on her and demanded that she go with him. Kayla told her about what happened to her and Steve. Stephanie and Chad were in shock by what they heard. Kayla told her that Bo kidnapped them. Stephanie couldn’t believe that Bo wasn’t the person she remembered. Kayla let her know that it was true. They were about to leave to get Steve when Thomas Banks arrived. Thomas showed up with a gun and pointed it at Chad.

Harris admitted that he lied to Hope about Bo. He told Shawn about his conversation with his father. Shawn was upset that he sent Hope to see Bo when he knew that he was dangerous. Harris received a text from Stephanie and he told him to find Bo and Hope while he went to help Stephanie and Chad. Chad wondered how Thomas got out of jail. Thomas told him that he bribed a cop to get out. He said he was there for the prisms. He also wanted to get revenge on Chad for shooting him. Stephanie tried to stop Thomas from shooting Chad, but he wanted to do it anyway. Harris walked in the room before he shot Chad. He put Thomas in a chokehold until he passed out. Bo wanted Hope to leave the house with him. Steve tried to get out of the cellar. He found a spoon and noticed the wall was weak. He dug a hole into wall and saw the other side. He put his hand through the wall and let himself out of the cellar. John, Marlena and Roman were shocked when Andrew told them about Bo being alive. He told them about the things Bo has done. Roman couldn’t believe that his brother would kill his wife. Andrew told them that Megan was telling the truth. Roman wanted to Statesville to confront her. He wanted to get more answers, but everyone talked him out of it. Steve went upstairs and called out to Bo and Kayla. He noticed Hope’s gun and left the house. Bo took Hope to a mountain top. He told her that he couldn’t have his new life with her in the world. He wanted to take care of the problem. Hope didn’t understand what he meant. He was tired of everyone forcing him to remember his old life. He pointed the gun at her, but she tried to get him to remember their lives together. She talked to him about their love and he started flashing back to them being together. She told him their love would last forever no matter what he did. He kept having memories of them being together. She closed her eyes and prepared for him to kill her. He suddenly lowered the gun. He called her “Fancy Face” and she was overjoyed. A shot happened suddenly and Bo collapsed. Hope screamed and turned around. She saw Shawn pointing his gun at Bo. Steve approached just as Shawn shot Bo. They watched Hope rush to Bo’s side to revive him.

Brady talked to Kristen. She told him that she didn’t think Thomas was the one who kidnapped Kayla. Brady wanted to know who she thought did it. She thought about her conversation with Megan. She told him that he would find out when he brought Rachel to see her. He wasn’t sure he could trust her. She said the news was explosive and would change lives. Chad and Stephanie found Thomas Banks at a warehouse in Greece. Thomas aimed a gun at Chad and Stephanie. She accused him of kidnapping her mother. Thomas denied taking her. Thomas said he followed them because he wanted Victor’s list of properties. Stephanie pulled out a list and Chad tried to distract him by talking about Susan. Chad pulled out a handkerchief as he started crying. Chad threw it on Thomas’ face and they fought over the gun. The gun went off. Hope learned that the police officer gave the prisms to an imposter. She showed him a picture of Thomas Banks. The cop said he didn’t recognize him. She wanted him to describe the man. He described him, but it didn’t help her. She wanted to look at the security footage. He told her it was erased. The guy said Steve mumbled something about Shane, but he couldn’t remember what it was. She offered her number in case he remembered something.

Bo opened the door to Harris. He realized he was Hope’s late husband. Bo recognized him too. Harris realized that Megan used the prisms to save Bo. He thought he was the one who kidnapped Kayla. Bo denied kidnapping her. Harris wanted to look around. Bo pulled a gun on him and told him to go home. He said he was going to tell Hope that he was still alive. Bo warned him that he would lose Hope if he did that. He wanted to know if he was ready for that. Megan and Kirsten talked at the prison. Megan was upset that Kristen called Brady to tell him about Bo. Kristen admitted that she did it. She would do anything to be able to see Rachel. Megan told her that she never confirmed that Bo was alive. Megan wanted to work with Kristen. Megan warned her that no one would believe a dead man kidnapped anyone. Chad got control of the gun. Thomas held on to his bleeding ear. Chad wanted to take Thomas to the police station. Harris was confused by what Bo was telling him. He was surprised he wanted him to be with Hope. Bo said that he was starting a new life without Hope. He was tired of people trying to drag him back to his old life. He told him that Hope moved on with her life. He didn’t want to break her heart. He wanted Harris to stay quiet about seeing him. Brady went to see Kristen. She told him that she was wrong about the information. She said Megan was telling the truth about Thomas Banks. She said he did kidnap Kayla. Megan smirked as she listened to their conversation. Hope went back to Harris’ hotel room. She told him what she learned at the station. She wondered if he had any luck. He thought about the deal he made with Bo. He told Hope that he didn’t find anything at Victor’s childhood home. He said the place was deserted.

Alex went to see Marlena to see if there was any news about Kayla. She let him know that she hadn’t heard anything. He was hoping there would be some news so he could be redeemed. She wondered if he wanted another chance with Stephanie and he admitted that he did. He thought the therapy was helping, but he didn’t think he needed it anymore. Kristen tried to call Brady, but he wouldn’t answer the phone. She got upset and yelled. Someone told her to take it easy. It turned out to be Megan. Kristen noted how good she looked for a dead person. Megan told her what her secret was for looking good. She told Kristen about the crimes that led her to prison. Kristen realized she lied about Thomas Banks taking Kayla. She wondered who took Kayla. She knew it couldn’t be Stefano or Bo since they were both dead. She realized what happened to Megan and wondered Bo was alive. Megan didn’t trust her enough to let her know yet. She wanted to settle in at the prison. Brady told John about Stephanie mentioning Victor under hypnosis. He said that Victor didn’t know anything about Kayla’s kidnapping. Chad and Stephanie flew to Greece to check his properties. Brady hoped they weren’t walking into a trap. John wanted to help with the search, but he didn’t want to be away from Marlena. Brady understood that. He mentioned Chloe and what’s going on between her and Rachel. John warned him that cutting Kristen out will only make Rachel more resistant to Chloe.

Bo deleted Stephanie’s text to Steve. Hope was worried because she didn’t hear from Steve. She suddenly received a text from him. The text said he was with Stephanie. She texted him back about what’s going on with the search for Thomas. Harris and Hope talk about their dance and the kiss they shared at the tavern. There was a knock on the door so Harris left to change. Hope answered the door and it was Chad and Stephanie. Bo was upset about the text he just sent to Hope pretending to be Steve. He brought food for Steve and Kayla to eat. He demanded that Kayla get started on the prism. He said that Stephanie was on the island and Hope was searching so the time was winding down. Steve threw his stew on Bo and they fought over the gun. Hope mentioned that Steve texted her that he was with Stephanie. Stephanie told her that she hadn’t seen him since they left Salem. Harris thought they should go to the police station since that’s the last time he was seen. Chad told them they had a lead. He told them that they had a list of Victor’s properties. Hope said she would go to the station while Chad and Harris divide the properties. Chad and Stephanie left to start searching. Hope thanked Harris for his help with her family. He wanted to help her since she gave him back his life. Bo got the upper hand in the fight. He aimed the gun at Steve. Steve told him to pull the trigger. Bo agreed and shot at him. He called out to Chanel so they could clear things up, but Wendy told him that she moved out. He assured her that he wasn’t pressuring her. She agreed to go out with him. Her phone rang so she answered it. Joey let her know that Tripp was having a hard time over Ava. He asked her if she could keep him company while he helped his father with the funeral arrangements for his mother. She agreed to help him. She let Johnny know that Tripp was having a tough time. Johnny wasn’t happy about it, but he thought they could go another day. Tripp let Joey know that he talked to Steve and he sounded bad. He felt they should be with him. Joey stalled until Wendy arrived. Joey hugged her and asked her not to tell Tripp that he wanted her to stop by. They started talking about Ava. She assured Tripp that she would be there for him. He glared at Joey. Joey told her about Tripp being a doctor. Joey said he was going to help his father. Tripp followed him to the door and asked if he asked her to come over. He admitted it and left. She said being with Chad wasn’t planned. She knew that he didn’t mean to turn off her phone, but she wanted to see where things went with Chad. He didn’t plan on begging her to take him back. She said when things settle down they might be able to be friends. Alex wasn’t happy about that. She didn’t want him to think she hated him. He apologized to her again. She thanked him and walked away. Chad found Julie looking through the photo album and thinking about the people she’s lost. She also thought about the people who struggled. She thought about Nick. Julie wished she had did more to help Nick. She hoped he suffered in the after life. Chad wanted Kayla, Kate and Marlena’s killer to suffer too. Julie talked about Abby with Chad. He told her about his relationship with Stephanie. Julie approved of his relationship with Stephanie. He said that he was looking forward to his future. Steve, John and Roman talk about how they’re going to take down Orpheus. Steve was going to get arrested so he could go to Statesville. John thought they should visit Orpheus and get him alone. He told her that she would lose him, her job and her living arrangements if she didn’t tell Rafe what he wanted to know about Xander. Leo went to see Xander. He let him know that he was going to testify against him. Leo told him that he nothing else to lose by testifying against him. Xander was willing to do whatever it took so he would keep his mouth shut. Xander started to seduce him and Leo wanted him to take him. He walked Leo to the bed and he fell on it. Xander grabbed his throat. He choked him for a while until he let him go. Xander warned him that he would die if he testified against him. Leo understood his threat and got out of Xander’s room. Stefan was tied to a chair in the wine cellar. He tried to get out of the restraints. He tried to reach for his phone, but it fell to the floor. He took his foot out of his shoe and used it to answer a call from Statesville. The call was from Vivian. He begged his mother to send him help. She called him out for not visiting her since he was reincarnated. He groveled and she agreed to consider helping him. Li came out of the shower and noticed that Gabi was trying to leave his room. She told him that she changed her mind about sleeping with him. He realized she never had any intention of getting back together with him. He wanted to know why she was really there. He grabbed her arm and threw her on the bed. He showed her the burner phone and wanted to know if that’s why she was there. She lied and said she never saw it before. He saw a call that was made while he was in the shower.

Gabi admitted that she called Rolf. She told him that he was going to deprogram Stefan. Li reminded her that Stefan didn’t want to go through that. She said she wasn’t giving Stefan a choice. She refused to give up on Stefan. She walked out of the room. Li called someone and told the person to make sure Rolf stayed away from Salem permanently. Sarah told Justin and Maggie that she wasn’t giving Xander another chance because she found him with Gwen. Maggie tried to defend Xander, but it didn’t work. Justin agreed to do the paperwork. Xander was drinking when Sarah arrived at the door. She walked in the room and let him know that their marriage was done. Leo ran into Gwen. He told her that he decided not to turn on Xander. She let him know that she chose Xander over her father. She told him that Jack kicked her out, fired her and she didn’t have a father anymore. Jack threw Gwen’s picture into the garbage. Gabi went to the wine cellar and heard Stefan begging Vivian for help. Gabi took the phone and told Vivian that he had no time to visit her, but he had time to take Chloe to Miami. She assured her that she will have him visit her once as week as soon as he’s deprogrammed. She told him that Vivian wanted them to get back together. Rolf knocked on the door. Chanel wanted to know if she was attracted to Alex. They ended up arguing again. Wendy went to see Gabi. She brought flowers to her. She explained that Li begged her not to say anything to her about the brainwashing. She wanted her brother to be happy. She knew it wasn’t an excuse to do what she did. She was sorry for everything. Gabi accepted her apology. Wendy wondered if Stefan could be deprogrammed. Gabi told her how she tried to get Marlena to do it. She said that Stefan was disgusted that she would do that while Marlena was on her deathbed. He didn’t want to see her again. Wendy suggested that she get a court order to have Stefan deprogrammed or have an intervention for him. Gabi informed her that she would need Stefan’s consent for the court order. She said that if she did get it there would be no one to perform the deprogramming. Gabi was out of ideas. Wendy didn’t think Gabi would give up. She left the house. Gabi thought about what Wendy said. She decided not to give up after all.

Stefan planned to make EJ pay for what he did. He promised Stefano’s portrait that he would make him pay. Nicole overheard him talking about making someone pay. She wondered who he was talking about and he told her that he was talking about Kristen. She told him that Kristen was arrested and would pay for killing Kate and Kayla. Stefan told her about Marlena. She was shocked to find out that Marlena passed away. He showed her Marlena’s obituary. He wondered if she was thinking about Eric. She admitted that she was. She was worried about all of Marlena’s kids. Stefan talked to her about EJ’s involvement in his brainwashing. She acted like she didn’t know about it. He didn’t believe her. She walked out to go to work. Nicole walked out and ran into Eric. She offered her condolences to him. They hugged when Sloan showed up. She told him that he left his phone in her bed. Li talked to Rolf on the phone. Rolf told him that he will need for his lab. Li agreed to help him as long as he kept quiet about the brainwashing. EJ showed up to fire Li. He knew the board wouldn’t have a choice, but to remove EJ from his position. Gabi snuck in the mansion. She snuck up behind Stefan. She grabbed a statue and hit Stefan in the head. Stefan fell to the floor.

Allie wasn’t impressed that Johnny helped get Kristen arrested. Chanel defended Johnny because of his grandmother. She didn’t understand why he was coming on to her girlfriend if he was so worried about his grandmother. Will got a phone call about going away for another assignment. He didn’t want to go, but Sonny thought Marlena would want him to go. Will said that he would be gone for six months. Sonny refused to hold him back from his dream. John watched the photo display of him and Marlena. Marlena put her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. When she didn’t respond he cried and vowed to get help. Sarah noticed that Marlena’s bed was empty. Belle and Eric walked in the room. John rushed Marlena back in the room. Sarah checked her pulse and told them that Marlena was gone. Belle rushed out of the room and John went after her. Sarah offered her condolences.

Justin thought she was being too generous, but he realized she had a point about Xander. He advised Sarah to think about it before she went through with the divorce. Gwen went to see Xander. She saw that he was getting drunk. He told her that Sarah wanted to divorce him. He realized he was probably going back to prison. Gwen told him about the plea she was offered. She let him know that she had no intention of helping the police. He wanted to know what she wanted in return. He said he was probably going back to prison so she had to collect while she could. He told her to meet with a lawyer to find out her options. Will and Allie met at the hospital. They talked about Sami trying her best to make it home in time to see Marlena. They didn’t think her chances were good. Marlena’s visitors were restricted so they had to wait to see her. Allie wondered where Sonny was. Will didn’t know since he wasn’t home. He said Leo was there. He told her what happened with Leo and Sonny. He didn’t think Leo deserved Sonny’s forgiveness. Julie arrived at the hospital and cried over Marlena’s situation. She wondered if he really wanted to be with Chloe. She knew he was forced to love her. Wendy showed up at the house to speak for Li. She apologized for what happened. She hoped that she could forgive Li. Gabi told her that she hated Li for what he did to her and Stefan. She closed the door in Wendy’s face. Gabi went back to Stefan. He let her know that they weren’t getting back together. She thought Rolf could fix things for him. She wanted him to be able to have his free will. Rafe showed up at the DiMera mansion looking for answers from EJ and Kristen about the orchid. EJ was adamant that he didn’t know where it was. Kristen tried to be sympathetic towards Marlena. Rafe let her know that Rolf was going to be brought back to Salem. He was bringing forensics to check the room where she kept the orchid. He also wanted the security tapes. EJ was willing to do whatever it took to keep Johnny from losing his grandmother. Rafe warned Kristen that he planned on getting Rolf to turn on her as well as anyone else who was involved with him. He wished them luck before he left the mansion. The forensics team started looking through the mansion. EJ allowed Kristen to stay at the mansion. He warned her that they better find the orchid. Stefan and Gabi went to the station to ask Rafe about Rolf. He said that Rolf disappeared without a trace. Brady told Chloe why he broke up with her. She was shocked, but she wished she knew before she slept with Stefan. Brady was hurt by her admission, but he knew he was responsible for it. Alex waited for Stephanie to come back to bed. He ignored Chad’s second call to Stephanie. Chad left a message for Stephanie to get to the hospital right away. Chad called again so Alex chose to ignore the call again. Stephanie joined Alex in bed. They kissed and then broke apart. Alex looked at Stephanie’s phone. She noticed and wanted to know what was wrong. He wanted to make sure she was ready to be with him. She was ready to be with him and they made out. Steve brought Kayla water. She was afraid they wouldn’t find the orchid in time. He wanted to keep faith that they would find it. He felt like the power of their love will get them through it. She wanted him to check on Roman and Kate. He didn’t want to leave, but he did what she wanted. John tended to Marlena. She wondered if Kristen was lying about the orchid being missing. John thought she might be telling the truth this time. She thought Orpheus might have taken the orchid. She wanted John to go to Statesville. She promised him that she would hold on until he got back. She said he gives her strength. Rex told Roman how much Kate loved him. He walked out of the room. Roman cried over Kate’s body. He wished they didn’t waste so much time apart. He apologized for not being able to protect her. He said he would love her forever. He started crying again. Rex went into the lobby and told Steve and Chad that Kate died. Steve hugged him and then he hugged Chad. Rex walked away to call his siblings. Steve told Chad he needed Stephanie there. Chad promised to find her.

Lucas saw Orpheus and told him that he tried to kill his mother, Marlena and Kayla. Orpheus taunted him until John showed up. John demanded the orchid from Orpheus. Orpheus tried to play dumb. John told Lucas that the women needed another dose of the orchid’s healing properties. Lucas went to check on his mother Orpheus was happy about the news. Lucas called Rex. Rex told him about what happened to their mother. Lucas went back to Orpheus and tried to choke him. John and the guard tried to pull Lucas off of him. John didn’t want to leave, but he had to get back to Marlena. Steve consoled Roman and went back to Kayla. She cried when she heard about Kate’s death. She wanted to see her kids. Roman walked in the room. Steve left to call Joey and Tripp. Kayla told Roman that she was sorry to hear about Kate. Roman was hopeful she would get better. He didn’t want to lose his wife and his sister. Chad left another message for Stephanie to get to the hospital. Alex and Stephanie finished making love when Chad came in the room. Chad looked away and apologized for interrupting. He told her what happened to Kayla and Kate. Stephanie rushed to the bathroom to get changed. Chad walked out the room. Alex looked at the phone and felt guilty. John went home and told Marlena that Kate didn’t make it. Kayla told Steve that she needed to sleep and to see Bo and her parents. He begged her not to leave them. He holds her hand as she tells him that she’s tired. She let him know that she would love him forever. He told her that he would love her forever. He started crying and put his head on her chest. Kayla flatlined as Stephanie walked in the room. Steve assured her that Kayla tried to hold on for her. Stephanie couldn’t believe she couldn’t say goodbye. Alex stood in the doorway. He told Chad that Stephanie was too late. Chad couldn’t believe her phone got turned off and didn’t get to say goodbye to her mother. Alex felt guilty about what he did.

Maggie told Justin and Bonnie that she found an apartment for Sarah and Xander. They let her know that Xander made up Red Nax to cover up that he was working for Ava. They told her that he kidnapped her and Susan. Bonnie said that Xander was kidnapped by the clown too. Sarah told them it was an act and she knew who was helping them. Leo walked in the room. Leo got nervous when he heard Sarah tell everyone what happened. She told them that Gwen was the one helping them. Bonnie knew for a fact the clown was a man. Justin thought she could have been in a body suit. Justin wondered what Leo thought. Leo said he didn’t know anything about Gwen dressing up as a clown. He walked out of the room. Will was at Allie’s apartment. He let someone know that he would be back in LA as soon as possible. Sonny showed up at the apartment. Will yelled at him about letting Leo in their lives. Sonny tried to defend Leo to Will. He wanted Will to understand the choices he made. He let Will know that if he wanted Leo gone, he would be gone. He would stay friends with Leo, but Will comes first. They kissed and made up. Will apologized for leaving him so much and leaving him to make new friends. He wished he made a better friend.

Gwen went to see Xander. She saw that he looked bad. He thought he was a disgusting human being. He felt like a worthless loser and Knew Sarah didn’t want him anymore. Gwen told him that he wasn’t in jail yet. She thought it was a good sign that Sarah didn’t turn him in yet. She told him to have faith in his love for Sarah. Xander knew Sarah wouldn’t give him the benefit of the doubt. He promised to keep her out of it if Jack found out. Xander was heartbroken so Gwen told him to think about Sarah until he won her back. Maggie tried to make Sarah feel better about Xander. Sarah couldn’t believe she fell for what Xander did. Sarah’s phone rang and she saw that it was Xander. She threw her phone. Maggie wondered what she will do. She told her that she was going to divorce him. Leo met up with Gwen and told her that Sarah was telling everybody what Xander did. Bonnie and Justin arrived at Xander’s hotel room. Bonnie punched Xander in the stomach.

Brady confirmed the kidnapping plans with Eric on the phone. Kristen arrived and told Brady that she didn’t think she was going to the wedding. She saw John and Marlena leave and she didn’t want to leave Rachel alone. He let her know that Eric was going to watch her. Kristen thought he was going to a lot of trouble to get her to go to the wedding. He made it seem like he wanted people to see them together and that he wanted a future with her. Everyone was getting ready for Gabi and Li’s wedding. Kristen and Brady arrived for the wedding. They ran into Nicole and EJ. Kristen and EJ talked for a little while. She wanted to take a picture with Brady so she could send it to Rachel. Nicole and Rafe saw each other when he walked in the room with Jada. Li walked to Rafe and Jada to let them know that Gabi was late for the ceremony. Kristen started drinking and told Brady about Chloe being in Miami with Stefan. He informed her that she couldn’t keep them apart forever. She would have to accept it soon. Kristen wanted to know what that meant. Brady dismissed her concerns. More guests arrived for the ceremony. Rafe went to look for Gabi. Johnny talked to Wendy. He noticed that she was stressed out about the ceremony. Li announced that they were ready to begin the ceremony.

The guests saw Gabi arrive for the wedding. The Justice of the Peace started the ceremony. The Justice of the Peace wanted to know if anyone objected to the wedding. Wendy announced that she had something to say. She told Gabi she was happy to be getting her as a sister. Li was angry and told her that she could have said that at the reception. They continued with the ceremony. Gabi hesitated when it was her turn to say her vows. Memories of Stefan came flooding back to her. She went through with the ceremony and they were married. After the ceremony, Rafe welcomed Li into his family. Li’s phone rang. He thought he turned it off. Rafe wondered if it was Dr. Rolf again. Gabi was concerned when she heard that he talked to Dr. Rolf. Dr. Rolf left Li a message warning him about the CRS 17 could wear off in weeks with certain triggers. He hoped that didn’t happen with Gabi. At the reception, Rafe gave Gabi a drink. He asked her if she was okay. She flashed back to Dr. Rolf’s lab. She announced that Dr. Rolf brainwashed Stefan to hate her. Li tried to get Gabi out of the room, but she refused to move. Gabi remembered Dr. Rolf telling her that Kristen made him do it to keep Brady from Chloe. Brady got upset and looked at Kristen. She said if she was involved, it wasn’t her idea to do it. Gabi remembered Dr. Rolf saying it as Li’s idea to brainwash Stefan. Gabi glared at Li.

Li woke up from a nightmare that he was exposed by Stefan. Kristen walked in the room and he jolted. She assured him that Stefan wouldn’t find out the truth from her. She told him that Johnny and Wendy didn’t find out anything either. Li corrected her, but he told her they weren’t going to say anything. She warned him that it will be worse for him if they didn’t keep quiet. Gabi was with Rafe. He thought Li was the right man for her. She couldn’t believe he was questioning that on her wedding day. She changed the subject and talked about his love life. She wondered how he felt about Jada. He reminded her that she was just a co-worker. He told her that he couldn’t date someone who wasn’t on the same level as him. Gabi didn’t think rules applied. She wanted him to invite Jada to go to the wedding with him. She was about to do it herself, but he took the phone from her. Li went to see Johnny to make sure that he kept quiet about the brainwashing. Johnny thought he was a terrible brother for what he was doing to Wendy. He told him that he was starting his marriage off with a lie. He advised Li to tell Gabi the truth or he would regret it.

Eric let Brady know that it was time to put their plan into action. They wanted to do it while Kristen was at the wedding. Eric thought Brady should take Kristen as his date so she wouldn’t leave early. Jada saw Eric and wondered if he was trying to avoid her. He assured him that he wasn’t avoiding her. He gave Brady a look. Jada went to a different table. Eric and Brady talked about getting Rachel from John and Marlena. Brady walked out so Eric went to Jada’s table. He assured her that he wasn’t avoiding her. He said he wasn’t staying there since he was arrested. She knew about his arrest and made a comment about Sloan. He wanted to be friends with her again. He apologized for not being honest with her about Nicole. She thanked him for that, but she needed time before they could be friends again. Brady pretended to bump into Kristen. He suggested they go to the wedding together. She wondered why he would ask her. He thought she would blackmail him into asking her so he wanted to do it on his own. She agreed to go with him. She wanted to take Rachel, but he told her that John and Marlena were already watching her. He thought Rachel would have more fun with them. Eric called John and Marlena to let them know that he would take over babysitting Rachel.

Eli surprised Abe and Paulina with a visit with him and the twins. They talked to him about what Sloan did. Eli wanted to go to Sloan and remind her who she was dealing with, but they stopped him from going. They appreciated what he was willing to do, but they wanted him to be a father to the twins and a husband to Lani. Sonny was shocked to see Will at the Kiriakis mansion. Will was shocked to see him with his shirt off and with Leo. He told Sonny that he rearranged his schedule so he could spend the holidays with him. Leo tried to get a word in, but Sonny and Will didn’t want to hear from him. Will wanted him to put on a shirt so he put on the shirt Leo gave him. Sonny wanted Leo to give them some time to talk. He told Will that Leo didn’t have a place to stay so he invited him to stay there for Christmas. Will didn’t feel sorry for Leo. He thought Leo was trying to play on Sonny’s sympathy. He thought Leo was trying to come between them again. Sonny thought Leo changed. Will reminded him about the things Leo did to them. Sonny explained how being friends with Leo just happened. Will wasn’t falling for it. Sonny didn’t like how he thought the worst in him as if he didn’t cheat on him before. He thought they were past him cheating. Will couldn’t believe that he brought that up. Sonny agreed they were over it. Sonny didn’t want to argue with Will on Christmas. Will didn’t want to fight with him either. He wanted Sonny to leave. Leo overheard them and thanked Sonny for his kindness. He was about to leave, but Sonny stopped him. He refused to let Leo leave. Will told him that he would leave.

Bonnie thought it was funny that the company Xander worked for was his name backwards. Justin didn’t think it was funny at all. He asked Gwen about it. She lied and said that the company existed. She said that Xander lied because he didn’t want to tell Sarah that he couldn’t find a job. After Justin and Bonnie left, Gwen called Xander to warn him about her conversation with them. Xander wanted to meet with her to talk about it. Sarah overheard his conversation. Justin and Bonnie continued to to talk about Xander. Bonnie thought Xander was having an affair with Gwen and that’s why he didn’t want to say anything about the company. Justin found that hard to believe because he loved Sarah. He thought Xander was keeping a bigger secret than that. Gwen met with Xander in the park. Gwen told him that Bonnie and Justin figured out the name of the company was his name backwards. He didn’t know what he would do if Sarah found out what he did to Bonnie and Susan. Sarah approached him and told him that she knew what he did. She wanted him to tell her the truth. He told her everything that happened. Sarah told him that Susan’s blood was on his hands. She gave him the tickets and told him to go to Greece with Gwen.

John told Kristen that he and Marlena argued over her. Kristen asked why they argued about her. He said he didn’t want to throw her out the way Marlena did. He said he didn’t think she was manipulating Brady. He said she belonged with Brady and Rachel. He said Marlena jumped to the wrong conclusion. He brought up how he first met Kristen when she was Kristen Blake. He said he has seen the old he fell in love with since she’s moved in. He said he wanted Marlena to see what he sees in Kristen. He wanted her to tell him what she did. Eric told Brady that he was quitting Basic Black since he and Nicole broke up. Brady thought it was because of Jada and the baby. Eric told him Nicole talked Jada into aborting the baby. Brady told him it wasn’t fair for him to blame Nicole. Eric said it didn’t matter. He said he and Nicole were too different. He told Brady about the argument he and Nicole had over him sleeping with Sloan. Brady insulted Sloan. Eric reminded him about living with Kristen. Brady said they weren’t getting back together. Eric said he was still attracted to her. Brady said he was attracted to vodka too, but he knew it was a disaster to be with Kristen. Eric said it was only a matter of time before he gave into her. Brady said nothing was going to happen after what she did.

Chloe and Stefan showed up while Brady and Eric were talking. Stefan ripped into Brady for the way he treated Chloe. Brady tried to defend himself, but ended up hitting Stefan. Stefan continued to argue with Brady until he and Chloe left. Eric told Brady that he knew that was hard for him. Eric wanted to know what was going on between him and Kristen. Brady admitted that she blackmailed him. Johnny was shocked to see Ava at the church. He thought no one could have survived the crash. She said she was hard to kill. He asked if his grandmother was still alive. She said she jumped from the car after it went through the guardrail, but Susan didn’t. He wondered why Ava was wearing a disguise. She said she wanted to pay her respects and didn’t want to be recognized. He didn’t believe it after what she did to his grandmother. She let him know that EJ was the one who started the war when he made her leave town. He said she started the war when she faked her marriage to Jake. She said he defended her to EJ. He said that was before she killed his grandmother. She said she kidnapped Susan, but she didn’t kill her. She said all EJ had to do was pay her. He said EJ didn’t pay her. She said he didn’t do it until after he kidnapped Tripp. Johnny asked why she still drove his grandmother off the cliff even when she knew Tripp was safe. While at the service, EJ wondered what was keeping Johnny. Marlena said he was looking for a woman earlier. Mary didn’t want Susan’s service to be delayed any longer. There was a bomb under the altar. Tripp showed up at the church. He blamed EJ for killing his mother. They argued with each other. Mary told them to stop. She went outside and saw Johnny talking to someone. He said he hoped he didn’t miss the service. She told him a young man came to yell at EJ for kidnapping him. Ava went inside the church. Tripp continued to yell at EJ. EJ told him to leave. Tripp said he wasn’t leaving. Ava came in and told Tripp to come with her. Tripp hugged her. She tried to get him to leave, but EJ stopped her. She told Tripp to leave because there was a bomb. The bomb went off.
