Jan wanted to know why Marlena wouldn’t pronounce her married to Shawn. She assumed it was because of the rings. Jan realized Brady was missing and threatened to kill Belle if he went to the police. John and Marlena came up with a lie to explain Brady’s disappearance. Brady and Eli broke into the hotel room to look for Belle. They only found a ransacked room. Eli wanted to go to John and Marlena’s place to get to Jan. Philip talked to Maggie about his feelings for Belle. He didn’t understand why he couldn’t get over Belle. Xander and Sarah broke into Ava’s apartment to see if they could find something there. Maggie continued to convince Philip to move on from Belle. Xander found out that the person who had the apartment spent time in a mental institution. Marlena couldn’t stall anymore and pronounced Jan and Shawn married. Jan waited for Shawn to kiss her. Maggie wanted to know if something else was going on with Philip. He said he was dealing with stuff. Jan initiated the kiss, but Brady and Eli showed up. Everyone demanded to know where Belle was so she said she shot her. John ended up choking her.

Brady, Eli, and Shawn finally pulled John off of Jan. Eli called for help. John didn’t mean to hurt her. He snapped when she said Belle was dead. Shawn and John wanted to find Belle. Eli stopped John to arrest him. Philip found Belle in his bed. Brady tried to talk Eli out of arresting John, but he wanted to arrest him anyway. Marlena offered to go to the hospital with Jan. Marlena told John to go with Eli to the station. Brady offered to go with him. Shawn went to the Salem Inn and saw the room. He also found the card that Belle wrote for Shawn. Philip wanted to know why Belle was in his bed when she was supposed to be marrying Shawn. She told him how Jan tried to kill him. Claire was upset about Jan possibly killing her mother. Charlie tried to make her feel better. She blamed herself for what Jan did. Charlie told her it wasn’t her fault. Shawn thought about Jan telling him to let Philip have Belle. He also thought about his last conversation with Philip. He told Eli that Philip was possibly working with Jan. Belle told Philip what happened with Jan. Shawn and Eli showed up at the Kiriakis mansion to see Philip. They told Maggie that they thought he helped Jan. Shawn found Belle in Philip’s room. She explained what happened when Shawn assumed he helped Jan.

Eli told Julie the truth about what happened with Lani. She wanted to know what he was going to do about it. She wanted Abe to kick Eli out of his house. She told him to tell Lani about it. She didn’t want Abe to keep them apart. Eli said he would try to work it out. Lani went to visit Kristen at the prison. She explained how upset she was with Eli. Kristen tried to defend Eli, but she still thought he was wrong. Kristen wanted her to live a good life with Eli. Lani felt like she couldn’t live a good life with him after what he did to Kristen. She asked her if she loved him enough to do anything for him. Jan demanded that Shawn marry her or else Belle would die. Marlena went through with the ceremony. Brady snuck out of the townhouse during the ceremony.

Claire read a poem during the ceremony. Shawn stopped her from reading. Julie reminded Abe about his involvement in Eli and Lani’s situation. She told him how he should have fired Melinda when she wanted him to do it. Kristen let Lani know how Rachel visited her and she didn’t want her to come back again until she talked to Marlena. Kristen told her how she had faith in Lani and Eli. She didn’t want to talk about Eli. She told Lani how she would give anything to be with her family and she didn’t want to be with hers. Kristen advised her to work things out or walk away. Brady found Eli and asked for his help. Eli wasn’t thrilled with him so he told him how Belle’s life was in danger. Jan threatened Shawn unless he went through with the ceremony. Jan said I do to marrying Shawn. Kristen continued to convince Lani to give Eli another chance. She insisted that she work things out with him. Brady was determined to go in the Salem Inn to find Belle. Eli told him how he didn’t know what they were walking in on, but Brady went anyway. Lani didn’t know if she could forgive Eli for what he did. Marlena didn’t pronounce Shawn and Jan man and wife, but stopped herself. Jan wanted to know what was wrong. She looked around and realized Brady was gone.

Sarah hid when Ava opened the door for Philip. Sarah took a picture of Philip and Ava on her phone. Ava and Philip talked about the love they lost. She told him that she saw Tripp. She said wasn’t sure how long she could stay in hiding. He told her to leave town. She said she had to be able to trust him. She told him to take care of Xander or she would. He said they could use Sarah against Xander instead of killing him. Philip said he could push Xander until he did something stupid. She didn’t care what he did as long as he took care of Xander. Philip said he wanted her to leave him alone once he laundered the money and paid off his debts. She said she would. Sarah met up with Xander. She showed him the picture of Ava and Philip. The picture turned out to be a blur. Xander looked for the apartment online. He found out that a man named Fred Nakamura owned it. They didn’t know if that was a clue. He said he would stake out the apartment and break in it to get the proof against Philip. She said they would take Philip down together.

Belle was shocked to see Jan. Jan gave her a wedding gift. Belle wouldn’t take the gift. They argued over the past. Jan said she wanted a second chance the same way Claire got to get one. Belle opened the gift. Snakes came out of the box. Jan laughed at her and pulled out a gun. When Jan was about to shoot Belle, Claire knocked on the door. Jan kept the gun on Belle when she opened the door. Belle told Claire to go to Shawn and ask him about a bracelet. Belle told her that she wanted to get ready alone because she was nervous. Belle told her that she loved her and closed the door. When Claire left, Belle reached for Jan’s gun. At John and Marlena’s place, Shawn got a message from Belle saying she was parking the car. John went to the hallway. Someone dressed in a wedding dress showed up to meet John in the hallway. When Shawn saw her, he told her he couldn’t wait to marry her. When he lifted the veil, the woman turned out to be Jan. She said couldn’t wait to marry him either.

They talked about how she was doing. Ava called Philip while he was talking to Sarah. He asked her for some privacy. She hid behind a door to listen to the call. Ava told him how he should have been laundering money out of the company. He assured her he could handle Xander. Belle continued to talk to her parents about marrying Shawn. Jan met with Claire and she told her how her parents were getting remarried. Jan wanted to know why she thought she wouldn’t like it. Xander wanted to do business with Charlie at Julie’s Place. He told him how he thought Philip is stealing through the company. Sarah didn’t get much info while eavesdropping on Philip. She offered to take him to work. Chad wanted answers from Jake about his conversation with Gwen. He didn’t want to tell him about it until Chad was prepared to go to Gwen. Gwen went to see Rolf. She talked to him about what she did to Abby. He wanted to know how she got Abby to reveal what Jack did. She told him what she did. She was satisfied with what she did to Abby’s parents so she wanted to go after Abby’s marriage next. Abby went to JJ’s place to talk to Jennifer. He let her know that Jennifer wasn’t there. They talked about what happened at the party. Jennifer confronted Kate about what she did with Jack. Mr. Shin showed up while Chad and Jake were talking. He confirmed that Jake called him. Abby wasn’t sure what would have happened if Chad had did to her what Jack did to Jennifer. JJ tried to assured her that it wasn’t her fault that Jennifer found out the truth the way she did. He blamed Jack for what happened. Jack told Roman what happened at the party. Jennifer couldn’t believe that Kate was with Jack while he was vulnerable just like she did with her father. Kate told her how her parents’ marriage was over way before she came along. Jennifer reminded her how her marriage was fine and she went after Jack. Kate told her how Jack’s heart was involved in what they were doing. Jennifer slapped Kate.

Kate was surprised that Jennifer had it in her to slap her. She ended up slapping her back. Roman had suspected that Jack was with Kate. He saw him with her all of the time and put two and two together. Jack said it happened once and he wrote a letter about it. He said Jennifer wouldn’t have found out about it if it weren’t for Abby. JJ assured her that Jennifer would have found out what Jack did regardless of who told her. Gwen told Rolf how she planned on making Chad think Abby was having an affair with Jake. She knew Chad wouldn’t get over the fact that Abby was with Stefan. She knew he would think Jake was after her too. Gwen told Rolf that she only wanted Chad to think Abby was cheating. She mentioned how Jake was sleeping with Kate. She would let Chad think Jake is sleeping with someone in the mansion and he would assume he was with Abby. She planned on picking up the pieces after he breaks up with Abby. Mr. Shin told Jake that Chad would be the sole CEO, but he wanted him to be Vice President. Kate tried to explain what happened while Jennifer was in a coma. Kate asked her how long Jack was supposed to wait for her. She told her to get over herself. He begged JJ to let him in to talk to her. He wanted to say sorry to Jennifer. Brady went to see Kristen and told him how Lani knew the truth about how she ended up in prison. Eli tried to lie to Lani about the baby shower until she told him how she recorded his conversation with Abe. She wanted to know where they would go from there. He explained how he had to do what he had to do to keep her out of prison. She was mad that he wouldn’t have said anything. He explained what happened when he had to help Kristen. He told her he had to protect her over Kristen. Jake tried to warn Gwen about going after Kate. She thought he was protecting her because he slept with her. She figured it out because she saw him kissing Kate. Jack called out to Jennifer to apologize, but she wouldn’t come to the door. JJ closed the door on him. Jack ran into Kate at the town square.

He said what they had was over. They agreed that it was just a night. She said she felt a connection with him when he told her that she helped him. Lani had a bag packed, but Eli didn’t think she should be moving out when she’s about to give birth. She agreed and told him how he was the one leaving. He couldn’t believe she was kicking him out because he kept her out of prison. She said she was doing it because he put her in prison and lied about it. Jack and Kate talked about Abby exposing them at the party. He let her know how he tried to reach out to Jennifer, but she didn’t want to talk to him. She asked if he wanted her to talk to Jennifer.

He told her how nothing happened. She reminded him how he raped her when she said she didn’t want him. He told her how it didn’t happen. Marlena went to see Kristen in prison. Kristen thought Brady sent her because she needed a shrink. She didn’t want him to bring Rachel there again. Lani went to Brady to find out what Eli was keeping from her. She told him how she accidentally recorded Eli’s conversation with Abe. She wanted answers from Brady. Lani demanded Brady tell her what happened. He said he it wasn’t his place. She asked him again and he said it was about Kristen. Kristen told Marlena how awful it was for Rachel to be there. Marlena tried to reassure her that she would see Rachel again. Steve told Kayla that the district attorney wasn’t going to press charges against Tripp because it was outside of this jurisdiction. Kayla was upset because she thought Tripp was guilty. Allie mentioned to Tripp how she knew he put a scalpel to Kayla’s neck. He told her that he thought she killed his mother. Ava went to see Kristen. Brady told Lani about Eli’s involvement in Kristen’s arrest. She couldn’t believe that Eli would agree to that. He said he did and tricked Kristen into confessing. Philip got a shock when Ava was the one watching him in the park. He told her she would ruin everything if someone saw her. She told him how he was losing her trust. Xander and Sarah talked about who could be working with Philip. He thought Brady was the one who was helping him because of what he and Victor did to him. Steve told Tripp Trask wasn’t going to prosecute him because the rape happened outside of her jurisdiction. Tripp wasn’t happy because he couldn’t clear his name. Steve thought they should be grateful because the jury might have convicted him. Steve said he believed him, but he wanted to know why. Allie was upset that Tripp couldn’t be prosecuted. Melinda explained how the rape didn’t happen in Salem. Xander planned on confronting Brady about what he was doing. Philip told Ava how Xander was watching his every move. She told her what happened when she went to see Charlie. Charlie talked to Xander about Claire showed up at the office. He wanted to know if he told her about kissing the other guy, but he didn’t tell her. Belle told Philip how Jan still intended to press charges against him. She suggested he plead guilty and wouldn’t get any jail time. He would only have probation. He didn’t want to take the deal. He wanted to go to trial. She said the deal was a good one. He thought Xander was going to use the case against him. She warned him the case would be long and destroy his life. He was fine with it, but she didn’t think Shawn would like it. Theo talked to Lani and Abe about what happened with Claire. Claire told Jan how she hadn’t heard from Charlie. Jan insisted that she go after Charlie. Jake asked Kate if she really had sex with Abby’s father. Jack told Jennifer that what happened with Kate wasn’t planned. She wanted to know what happened. Abby told him how he had to take care of himself if he was going to take care of her. He kept going to the pub after he left the hospital. He was afraid she would never wake up. He started drinking to ease the pain. Kate told Jake her side of what happened with Jack. Jennifer didn’t want to hear the details of Jack’s courtship with Kate. He told her how there wasn’t a courtship because they only talked about her. Jennifer reminded Jack how he didn’t wake up alone. She told him how he spent his days by her bed and his nights in Kate’s bed.

Chad let Gwen know that Abby was locked up in the bathroom. She blamed herself for what happened because she suggested she borrow shoes from her. Jack admitted to Jennifer how he spent one night in Kate’s bed. Kate told Jake that watching how lonely Jack was made her lonely too. She thought they made a connection while talking about Jennifer. During the flashback scenes, it turned out Gwen overheard Jack and Kate talking about their night together. Gwen continued to blame herself for Abby finding out the truth. Chad reassured her that it wasn’t her fault. Jake wanted to know why Kate kept the letter Jack wrote. She said it meant something to her. Jack told Jennifer how Adrienne had died and JJ was dealing with the pain of losing Hailey. He admitted that he didn’t tell her how he was lost one night. Jake asked Kate if she was in love with Jack. She talked to Jake about how good she felt helping Jack out. She thought everyone would think she was a home wrecking b*tch. He didn’t want to judge. He leaned in to kiss her. Jack asked Jennifer if she could forgive him.
