Nicole had a dream of Eric. She woke up in Susan’s room at the DiMera mansion. Johnny showed up to look for something of Susan’s to bring to the memorial. Nicole told him she was sorry for his loss. He apologized to her for the way he reacted to her staying at the mansion. He said he hoped things would have worked out between her and Rafe. She apologized for the relationship not working out. She said Rafe was a good person, but she wasn’t. She said she would never be a good person. He found Susan’s cross. He said it represented everything that was important to her. He said she was the truest person he ever knew even though people thought she was crazy. He said he had good memories of Nicole being his stepmother. He said he enjoyed being around her. Eric woke up in Sloan’s bed. She gave him coffee. She noticed that he was distracted. He said he had a headache because he didn’t drink anymore. She offered him something to eat, but he wanted something else. After they made love, he told her Belle was wrong when she said getting involved with her would be the worst mistake. Sloan asked him about his time as a priest. He said he wasn’t going to be a priest for a third time. After they made love again, he told her he wasn’t looking for a relationship. She said she wasn’t interested in a relationship. She told him he was welcome to stay with her if he needed a place to stay. She said they could be friends with benefits. He said it has been a while since he has had a real friend.

Kate went to Jada’s room to check on her. Kate wondered if Eric had come to see her. Jada said he didn’t. Kate was surprised, but Jada was happy he didn’t. Steve showed up in the pub. He talked to Roman about him he was going to Seattle for Christmas. Jada and Kate showed up in the pub. Steve offered to take Jada to work because he wanted to talk to her about a police matter. EJ talked to Roger and found out he wasn’t going to Susan’s memorial. Ava was outside and watched EJ. When EJ got off the phone, Rafe showed up. Rafe said he needed EJ’s statement about the night Susan died. EJ said he didn’t have anything to say. He said Rafe should let it die. Ava walked away while EJ and Rafe were talking. Nicole came downstairs. Rafe wanted to know what she was doing there. EJ said she spent the night. She tried to explain what was going on, but Rafe told him to enjoy his consolation prize. Rafe said he would find out what happened between EJ and Ava. Rafe left the mansion. Nicole went to the pub. She asked Kate about Jada. Kate said Jada wouldn’t want to see her. Nicole tried to defend her actions. Kate didn’t want to hear what she had to say. Roman said he and Kate were rooting for Nicole and Eric. Nicole said she knew she messed up. Roman said Sloan was Eric’s lawyer. Roman said Eric didn’t come home. Nicole left the pub. Eric and Sloan kissed each other. Someone knocked on the door while they were kissing. Sloan answered the door. It was Nicole. Nicole saw Eric behind her. Steve told Rafe and Jada that EJ kidnapped Tripp. Steve said he didn’t have proof. Rafe said if they could prove EJ planned the crime in Salem, they would have jurisdiction. Jada and Rafe said they would go after EJ. While Ava was in the crypt, Charlie showed up. He asked her how they were going to get their revenge. She said EJ was going to die. She showed him a bomb in a briefcase. She told him she was going to do it at Susan’s memorial.

Nicole pushed by Sloan so she could confront Eric. She told him about starting a drunken brawl and hooking up with Sloan. He told her that he understood hers and Sami’s impulsive behavior. He said it was more fun to be the bad twin. Sloan came back in the room just as Nicole left. She wanted to know if Eric was okay. She told him there was still time for them to have some love in the afternoon. She loosened the towel she was wore and they kissed. They had sex and they showered together. He let her know that he had to meet Brady. She wanted to be with him again and he was willing to do that. Charlie and Ava loved the bomb she created. She wanted to make all of her enemies pay. She wanted to start with Nicole. She knew she would be at the funeral. John and Marlena talked about how they couldn’t let Rachel have what she wanted for Christmas. John thought they had to get Kristen out of Brady’s life for good. Marlena thought he should get close to Kristen again as a friend. She thought Kristen would tell him what she’s holding over Brady’s head. He loved it when Marlena schemed. She thought it was good parenting. She had an idea of how to get Kristen to let her guard down.

Kristen interrupted Brady’s conversation with Tate. She dangled mistletoe in front of him. He didn’t want her to encourage Rachel’s fantasies that they were getting back together. He thought that was good that she was willing to go to Susan’s service. She had a plan so that she could see EJ. Brady wasn’t going to like the plan. Kristen showed up at the DiMera mansion. She told EJ that she wanted to be there for him. He didn’t want her to be there. He wanted her to leave so he could be alone. Brady met with Eric. He let him know that he lost money because he was arrested. Eric quit his job and apologized to Brady. Nicole showed up at the DiMera mansion to tell him about Eric and Sloan. He told her that Kristen showed up at the mansion. Since EJ didn’t have anyone else, Nicole offered to go to the funeral with him. Ava wore a wig and put the bomb near Susan’s things at the church. Johnny was outside the church. He thought he saw Ava. He wanted to know if that was her. She let him know that it was her.

Eric talked to Sloan about what happened with Nicole. He didn’t want to go home because she didn’t want to take his anger at Nicole out on Jada. He couldn’t believe Nicole moved on so fast with EJ. Sloan suggested that he stay in her apartment with her. She told him that she only had one bed. She promised him that nothing would happen. He joined her in the bed. She talked to him about her situation. She believed they both had a right to be angry. Sloan thought they should forget everything. Eric kissed her. They got passionate until she stopped them. She didn’t want him to think that she’s taking advantage of him. He insisted that he wanted it and needed it. They went back to making out. EJ poured Nicole a drink when Sister Mary Moira walked in on them. She didn’t approve of them being together. She didn’t approve that he was with someone who isn’t his wife. She couldn’t believe that he would do that on the eve of her burial. Mary Moira called Nicole a tramp. EJ got upset and made her apologize to her. Nicole told her everything that she did when she insulted her. Later, EJ told Nicole that he was proud of her for standing up to his aunt. She reminded him of the woman that he fell in love with before. He welcomed her back. She told him that she and Eric were finished. EJ told her that she was better off without Eric because he stifled her spirit.

Rafe arrived at the Kiriakis mansion to talk to Justin. He said that he couldn’t declare Bonnie missing yet. He did put out an alert out on her. Alex walked in the room to tell Justin that everyone was checking Bonnie’s favorite spots. Justin wanted to do the same thing. Alex apologized to Rafe for putting Eric and Nicole on the cover of Bella together. Rafe said the breakup was painful, but he thought it was for the best. Leo met with Gwen at the Horton house. She asked him to dress up as a clown. He thought about his childhood trauma about clowns, but Gwen was willing to pay him to dress as the clown. She gave him what he needed to look like Xander in the clown suit. Bonnie wondered why Xander what stunt he was trying to pull. He told her that he fought with the clown. She had a feeling that he was the clown who kidnapped her. The clown burst in the room and Xander pretended to be afraid. Bonnie realized that Xander wasn’t the clown. Bonnie cried out while Xander took off his ropes. He went after the clown. Xander and the clown moved into the hallway. Leo took off the mask. They went back into the room when Leo pretended to overpower him and ran off. Bonnie thanked him for what he did. She apologized for accusing him of being her kidnapper.

Maggie, Sarah and Bonnie were hanging out when the conversation turned to Susan. They talked about what happened to Susan. Bonnie admitted to them that she was worried that the kidnapper was going to come back to get her. She wanted to put everything behind her. She walked out the room. Maggie asked Sarah about Xander. She told Maggie what happened to Xander. She told Maggie that he had proof that he was innocent. Maggie was happy for Xander. Sarah was relieved he was innocent. Bonnie came back in the room and said that she was afraid the kidnapper would come after her.

Justin showed up at Xander’s room and they talked about the debt collector. Justin was proud of him for quitting a job that wasn’t ethical. He wanted to help Xander by helping him sue them for wrongful termination. Xander wanted to forget the incident happened. Justin insisted he had a case, but Xander wanted to forget about it. Justin apologized for being so pushy. Xander just wanted to give Sarah a good life, but he messed up. He was about to tell Justin the truth, but he blamed everything on the job. Justin assured Xander that he was going to investigate the job and he wouldn’t stop him until he helped Xander. He walked out of the room. Xander began to get nervous. He called Gwen and asked her to create a fake employment contract for him. She wanted to bring it to him because she didn’t want to have a paper trail. Xander met with Gwen. They talked about the contract. Bonnie was in the area and heard Xander talking. She realized that he was the one who kidnapped him once she heard his voice.

Johnny talked to Chanel about what happened to his mother and Ava. She was surprised and hugged him. Allie walked in just as they were hugging each other. Allie admitted that she knew what happened since Thanksgiving. Chanel didn’t understand why she was just hearing about it. Allie apologized for keeping it from her. Chanel was overwhelmed because of what’s going on with Abe and Paulina. They all promise to be there for each other. Johnny had to leave so Chanel wondered what was happening. He said he had to meet Wendy. EJ was surprised to see his aunt Sister Mary Moira Banks at his door. She wanted answers about what happened to her sister. She gave him a hard time about finding out about Susan from someone else. He told her that he did everything he could to help her. She didn’t want him to keep making excuses. He reminds her that his mother is dead. He calmed down and said that he wanted forgiveness. She told him that God is the one who could forgive him. He wanted her forgiveness and not God’s forgiveness. She wasn’t happy that he didn’t start the funeral arrangements for Susan. She thought he was shaming her in life and death.

Nicole was upset that Eric hire Sloan as his lawyer. Sloan blamed her for why Jada didn’t have the baby. Nicole denied it and yelled at Eric about it. They started arguing with each other. Sloan was tired of hearing them argue and gave him her business card. She let him know that her home address was on the back of it. Nicole told Eric that she wasn’t sleeping with EJ. She told him that EJ gave her and Holly a place to stay. Eric was upset by it, but Nicole told him about his jealousy towards EJ. He called her out for getting mad that he was talking to Sloan and that she blamed her for why his baby was gone. She hated seeing Eric like that and she told him that EJ was looking better than he is. He told her that he wasn’t a saint and she wasn’t either. They continue to go back and forth until he realized that her opinion didn’t matter to him anymore. Nicole wanted to know if they were breaking up. Eric reminded her they weren’t together. He didn’t want to make the same mistakes. She didn’t think they would work.

EJ and Nicole woke up in bed together. She didn’t remember what happened. He said they made love. She woke up again and realized she was alone. She said she wasn’t the person Eric thought she was. EJ came in the room and offered her breakfast and a cure for hangovers. They talked about Susan and how she looked out for him. Nicole thanked him for looking out for her. She wondered what was going on with Eric. EJ said he got what he deserved. She said she felt bad for Eric. She said she regretted backing him up when he wanted Eric arrested. He said he would drop the charges for her. He said Shawn might not be so forgiving. When he called Trask, he said Eric deserved to suffer after the way he treated her. When Chanel went to Sweet Bits, she saw Murderer on the window. She tried to get it off the window. Sloan showed up and pretended to be sad about the graffiti. She said she didn’t do it. She rubbed it in that Paulina was arrested. Chanel told her she was the one she wanted.

Paulina woke Eric up. He was in a cell next to hers. They were shocked to see each other. She wanted to know why he was in a cell. He told her what happened. She understood why he had a problem with EJ. She said EJ rubbed everyone the wrong way. She told him about Chanel’s time with Johnny. Eric said he didn’t want to talk about it anymore. They talked about Sloan. Paulina wanted to tear her apart. Sloan showed up and told her to do it. Sloan rubbed it into Paulina that she was in jail. She told Paulina that she and Chanel would be able to spend time with each other in prison. Paulina said what happened was an accident. Sloan didn’t believe her. Sloan said making Paulina and Chanel pay didn’t make her happy. She said nothing would help her get over her mother. She said she might be able to pull some strings and have Paulina, Chanel and Lani spend prison together in the same prison. Paulina was taken off to see Belle. Sloan told Eric that Belle was a two-bit lawyer and bimbo. He told her she was her sister.

Nicole didn’t want to take EJ up on his offer to move in with him. He told her he was trying to help her. He said he was feeling lonely. When they were about to leave, Eric showed up. He asked if they were drunk. Eric and EJ started arguing with each other. She said she wasn’t sleeping with EJ. She said she didn’t have anywhere else to go because she ruined her marriage to be with him. She said Eric didn’t want anything to do with her. EJ continued to mess with Eric. Eric warned him to stay out of the conversation. EJ said Eric didn’t have to lose his baby and Nicole. He said it was Eric’s choice. Eric punched him in the face. Belle told Shawn that Trask was charging Paulina and wasn’t backing down. Shawn told her that Paulina might be extradited to the UK. He said it wasn’t going to be easy. He said he was stressed. She told him he had the day off. He said he didn’t because Jada called out for a medical procedure. She wanted to know what was going on. He said he didn’t know. She said her mother said Jada was pregnant. She thought it couldn’t be an abortion because Jada and Eric were happy about the baby. They left to go to the Small Bar and ran into Eric, Nicole and EJ. EJ told them what was going on. Shawn tried to get Eric out of the situation. Shawn realized Eric had a drink. Shawn tried to get him to leave, but Eric shoved him. EJ told him to arrest Eric. EJ said he was pressing charges. Nicole tried to stop him from arresting Eric. EJ said she didn’t owe him anything. She realized he was right. Shawn handcuffed Eric.

Alex walked in on Chad and Stephanie hugging each other. Alex was upset when he thought she lied about being busy with work. Stephanie and Chad told him it wasn’t what he was thinking. They told him Paulina was arrested and they were trying to figure out what to do. Alex offered to help them. They got to work on Paulina’s case. Alex and Stephanie flirted with each other. Chad didn’t like seeing it. Alex said Paulina shouldn’t have to apologize for helping her daughter. They continued to work on the case. Sonny tried to help Leo find a job. Leo said he appreciated his help. Leo said he was hungry. Sonny went to make sure he got something to eat. When Sonny left, the phone rang. Leo answered the phone. Leo spoke to Will. Sonny took the phone from Leo. Sonny told him he was helping Leo, but Will wasn’t happy about it. Will told him he wouldn’t be home for Christmas. When they got off the phone, Sonny was upset. Sonny told Leo that Will was making a movie. Leo thought answering the phone didn’t help Sonny. Leo wanted to leave, but Sonny told him to stay. Kristen told the Marlena doll that her plan to look generous to Brady worked. Brady walked in and thought it was weird that she was talking to a doll. They talked about Rachel’s Christmas list. He wanted to talk about Rachel wanting them to get married. He thought Kristen put her up to it. She said she didn’t put her up to it. She said it was natural for a kid to want her parents together. She said if she wanted them to get married, she would have forced him to marry her in order to get the orchid. She said she wanted more than that. He said she should prove her love by giving him the orchid. She said she would, but she didn’t trust him. She said they should spend the night together. Nicole told EJ that she felt responsible for Eric’s behavior. EJ said it was Eric’s problem, not hers. She said she was still worried. EJ said with Belle as his lawyer and Shawn as the arresting officer, Eric would get a slap on the wrist. Belle told Eric there was nothing she could do for him. She said the court was closed for the day. Eric mentioned that she slept with EJ. Belle was furious. She told Shawn to take him away. Brady told Kristen nothing would happen until she gave him the orchid.

John couldn’t believe Kristen was getting Rachel’s hopes up about her getting back together with Brady. He knew they were never going to get back together. Marlena wasn’t sure since Kristen was a good manipulator. John wanted to stop her. Marlena wasn’t sure how they would do that. Brady walked in and found Susan in the room. Brady was about to call Marlena to let her know that Susan was alive when Kristen took off the disguise. Brady wondered why she was dressed that way. She told him that she couldn’t console EJ for losing his mother so she wanted to console him dressed that way. He didn’t think it would work plus it would be a cruel thing to do. She wanted to assure EJ that Susan’s death wasn’t his fault. Brady was surprised that she wanted to do something like that, but he told her it was cruel. Kristen cried and told him that she treated Susan badly. Brady consoled her when John, Rachel and Marlena walked in the townhouse. John and Brady took Rachel to bed. Marlena told Kristen to stop getting Rachel’s hopes up that she was going to marry Brady. John confronted Brady about finding Kristen in his arms. He told John that he was just consoling her. He said he would never fall for her again.

EJ found Nicole drinking at the bar. She apologized for what happened to Susan. He appreciated that and wanted to know if she needed to talk. She told him what happened with Eric. She admitted that things would have been better for her and Eric if Jada wasn’t pregnant. Things were worse now that she doesn’t have the baby. EJ thought that Eric would come around. Nicole knew the lines were crossed and they couldn’t come back from it. EJ was able to relate to that because he crossed the line and it cost his mother her life. They kept drinking when she said that she didn’t have anywhere to go. EJ offered to let her stay in one of his guest rooms. She agreed to stay with him. She stumbled trying to get up. EJ helped her get up. Eric saw them together and glared at them.

Johnny told EJ that he knew what Li had Rolf do. EJ denied it, but eventually admitted to knowing what Rolf did to Stefan. EJ said he knew after the fact. He said he used the information to solidify Stefan’s connection to him and the family. Johnny asked how he would feel if someone erased his love for Sami. EJ said he would thank the person. Johnny said he didn’t believe him. EJ said he knew it wasn’t about love. He said it was about Johnny’s need for revenge over what happened with Ava. Johnny said it started out like that. He apologized for taking Ava’s side since it contributed to Susan’s death. EJ said he didn’t blame him. Johnny said she would still be alive if he had done things differently. EJ said Susan would want them to get past it. Johnny wanted to get past it, but Stefan had a right to know about the brainwashing. EJ asked him not to tell anyone. He said he could lose the company as well as go back to prison. He said he just lost his mother. He asked Johnny not to take anything else from him.

Wendy told Li that she knew he had Rolf brainwash Stefan into forgetting about Gabi. Li pretended to be upset. Wendy said she knew when he was lying. He ended up admitting to what he did. She said this was going to blow up in his face. He said Gabi loved him. He said he didn’t set out to have Stefan brainwashed. He said he thought he could use Stefan as a way to move up the corporate ladder. He said he ended up falling in love with Gabi. Wendy said it wasn’t fair to Gabi. He said he didn’t care if she didn’t approve of what he did. He was only concerned about what she was going to do about it. He said he would lose everything if she said anything. He begged her not to say anything. Jada told Eric she wasn’t pregnant anymore. He thought she had a miscarriage. She said she had an abortion. He asked her why she didn’t tell him. She said it was her body and choice. She said she knew he was excited about the baby. She thought he would talk her out of it. She said it wasn’t easy, but it was the right decision. She said it wasn’t about her punishing him for their relationship ending. She said it had nothing to do with him. He asked what changed her mind. She said she believed they could make it work until she talked to Nicole. She said Nicole helped her realize how much of a struggle it would be to be a single mother and a cop. She said she didn’t want to be tied to a person who didn’t love her. She told him the rest of what Nicole told her. He was upset about it. She said she didn’t know if it was Nicole’s intent, but talking to her helped her decide not to have the baby.

Chanel talked to Allie about her concerns about staying in jail. Shawn brought Sloan in to see her. She let her know that she was going to be her worst nightmare. Allie tried to defend Chanel to Sloan, but she didn’t want to hear it. She didn’t think her mother’s death was accidental. Sloan blamed Chanel for her mother’s death. She also threw up in her face that she had an affair with her father. They go back and forth about what Chanel did. Allie defended Chanel. Sloan told her that it was hard to watch her father drink himself to death. Paulina told Abe she had an idea of how to help Chanel. She wanted him to fire Melinda. He told her that he couldn’t do that because the press was watching him already. He thought Belle would be able to stop Trask from going after Chanel. Belle told Trask that she was holding Chanel without an arraignment. She thought Trask was trying to hold up the case on purpose. Trask told her there was nothing she could do about it. Belle showed her a legal document that proved she could stop her. Belle let her know that Chanel was getting out on bail. Later, Belle let Chanel know that she made bail. Chanel rushed to the office where she saw her mother and Abe. They celebrated the fact that she was out on bail. Trask walked in the room and let them know that she had a warrant for Paulina’s arrest. She wanted Shawn to arrest Paulina for covering Sloan’s mother’s murder. Sloan smirked in the background. Kate brought tea to Jada to help her with her morning sickness. Jada told her about her everything that happened earlier. She let her know that she was getting an abortion. Kate wondered if someone talked her into getting the abortion. Jada didn’t name any names, but she told her about her conversation with Nicole. Jada wanted to be a mother, but not like that. Kate apologized to her for getting hurt. She wanted to know what was next for her. She let Kate know that she was going to focus on her career. Kate told her that she was the same way, but it’s nice to have someone in your life.

Kate hoped they could still be friends. Jada was fine with it. Eric wanted answers from Nicole. He wanted to know if she talked Jada into getting an abortion. Nicole refused to let Jada make her out to be the bad guy about the baby. She was ready to confront Jada, but he said she was too late. He let her know the baby was gone. She told Eric that they didn’t talk about abortion. He let her know she was the last person Jada talked to before she made her decision. He let her know that the pregnancy wasn’t any of her business. She was surprised by his reaction. Nicole told him they were together so it was her business. She wanted to talk to Jada after overhearing them talk on Thanksgiving. She defended her actions, but he felt that she got what she wanted. He told her that she acts impulsively. They continued arguing about it. She admitted that she hoped there wasn’t a baby and asked if he was satisfied. She apologized to him for talking to Jada behind his back. She wasn’t sorry for wishing they could avoid a complication. He knew it was complicated, but he enjoyed the idea of being a father. She brought up the fact that she couldn’t give him children. He was happy raising Holly, but he thought they could raise the baby together. She told him how he excluded her from the Thanksgiving announcement. He told her that she broke his trust by going to Jada behind his back. He was upset that the baby was gone. Nicole wanted to know if he was upset about the baby being gone or her role in it. He told her that it was both. She wanted to know where that left them. He looked at her and admitted that he didn’t know. He walked away from her, and she started to cry.
