Well, I-I-I’m sure it was a hideous strain, but thank you for enduring it on our behalf. How can we ever repay you? For you? I’ll think of something. Joss doesn’t owe me anything. She doesn’t? [ Chuckles ] There’s a fresh pot of coffee on. And I got some fresh fruit. There’s eggs in the fridge if you want them. It’s not — I’m not a houseguest. I can make my own breakfast. Yeah. I-I guess I’m just adjusting to you being back home. I really wasn’t sure that you would come back home after learning that, um, trina is your biological daughter. May I ask what made you decide to stay?

[ Doorbell rings ] Good morning. Mom. Thanks. I needed this. Clearly, you do. Mm. You forgot we were meeting for coffee.

Quite a welcome. Well, I’m excited to see you. I didn’t think you’d show up. Well, I can’t say no to you, but I’m not sure your plan’s gonna work. Spencer hates my guts, and I don’t see that changing. Doesn’t he have some crimes to commit? Kneecaps to break? Suckers to punch? Joss invited him. Uh-huh. And when is she gonna realize that he’s a dead-end loser and dump him? Dex is important to her, and we’re all spending time together, unless you want to lose josslyn as your friend. It wouldn’t be the first friend that I’ve lost to dex. Cameron got a soccer scholarship at stanford. Dex’s relationship with josslyn didn’t force him to leave. No, but it certainly made things easier, didn’t it? Look, I know that if push came to shove, josslyn would choose me over dex.

A source of mine at the bureau says that victor obviously stole a copy of anna’s personal file before going missing all those years ago, and he made arrangements to have it made public in the event of his untimely death. The paper claimed to have obtained classified documents from the wsb. Yeah. Well, it’s obvious that my father’s not done ruining people’s lives. Luckily, he won’t have any influence on the younger generation of cassadines. Anyway, I digress. You said that he left something else for me, aside from the finger. It’s not for you. This is for charlotte. I don’t need to read any more of that. It’s my life, after all. Your cover is blown. There is nothing in that article the bureau didn’t know about already. Don’t go any further. We’re doing this by the book. What are we doing? Bring him in. What’s happening? What the — what are you doing here, martin? My first instinct was to throw that thing into the harbor. I mean, it represents everything I loathe about the cassadines, everything that i don’t want my grandchild to be, but, I mean [Sighs] It belongs to charlotte. And you’re her father, so you get to decide. Well, I don’t know that throwing it in the harbor will make charlotte any less a cassadine. And my father’s gone, and with him, his influence and his expectations. So it’s my hope that charlotte can create a new legacy for her family. You know, maybe I could move things around at work and stay. No. Thank you, portia. But this conversation between curtis and me is long overdue. [ Door closes ] What is going on? The media. And you’re officially a sitting duck. They’re particularly interested in one aspect of that file victor had released, namely your history as a double agent. The bureau knew about this already. Yeah, well, maybe they did, but the public didn’T. And now the sun’s got hold of it, your name — hell, your entire history — is about to be splashed across the front page of every newspaper, website, cable news broadcast in the entire country. This is bad, anna. Somebody knew how to poke that bear just right. Public’s gonna want answers. They’re gonna think they want justice. How am I supposed to defend myself against accusations that are true?

We may never know exactly what happened between joss and cam, but everyone could see that it wasn’t working at the end. [ Sighs ] The dna results came back. And curtis is trina’s father. Yeah. Why didn’t I tell you that I suspected trina might be your daughter? Fair question. One I have been asking myself lately. Were you able to find the answer? I’m — I’m — I’m just trying to get back to the day of your wedding and why I couldn’t officiate at your wedding. You said something about your conscience. Yeah. I couldn’t — I couldn’t in good conscience marry you and portia, knowing that portia hadn’t told you that you might be trina’s father. And I didn’t feel like I could be the one to tell you. I convinced myself of that, that I shouldn’t interfere because… you and portia just seemed so happy, and I didn’t want to get in the way of that. Okay. So, what changed? Why now? Ultimately, I caused more pain and heartache by keeping silent. And I’m sorry. I hope you can forgive me. Early in my career, you know I was compromised by the dvx, specifically cesar faison.

[ Sighs ] I thought I could outwit him, but I couldn’T. And so I ended up leaving here for a bit, and, uh… and then I came back, eventually. And I gave them full disclosure. I told them everything. And I was reinstated. And I have had a clean record ever since. The bureau has trusted me for decades. And none of that’s gonna make any difference to the general public. Anna, that article does a good job painting you as a total judas. Trusted agent, somebody with clearance, access to privileged information — somebody who turned around and betrayed her own agency. This is all ancient history. The only difference now is the media spotlight, and the fact that frisco has been replaced as director, yeah. And now the bureau wants to distance themselves from my actions. They’re charging me with treason to cover their own asses. Exactly. That is exactly what they’re doing. Which is why valentin was right to call me. It’s time for me to protect you. This isn’t cloak and dagger. It’s public. It’s federal. And that story is not going away.

Do you want to go to chechnya to look for nikolas? Didn’t we do that for charlotte? No. Charlotte was in a boarding school in switzerland, not exactly a war-torn country, and charlotte wanted to come home. We don’t know what nikolas would want. You know, I just can’t think about that. I feel like… I feel like a part of me is missing. I need to find that part, just to… just to be whole again. Okay, I understand. And if you’re not gonna worry about your safety, then somebody has to. So if you’re going to go to chechnya, I insist I go with you. You understand — I know. I know. You said you were gonna do this. [ Door closes ] Agent devane, I trust your lawyer has brought you up to speed? Yes. That the bureau is hanging me out to dry. Yep, I’m aware. Agent hursley, there’s something I don’t understand. Perhaps you can help me out. Now, she’s been perfectly honest about her history with the dvx for years now, and since that time, she’s proven over and over again that she’s shrewd, loyal, courageous — hell, she’s a solid-gold asset to the bureau. Why, all of a sudden, is her dedication being called into question? It doesn’t matter that we appreciate agent devane’s work. Our hands are tied. Her entire dossier has been released, and the public knows that she’s never been held accountable for her crimes. Not until now. Don’t dunk me. Don’t splash me or immerse any part of my body. But taggert, I can’t imagine how he’s feeling right now. Like, he lost his daughter. Not that he would ever, ever say anything like that. Well, taggert doesn’t care about dna. He only cares about trina. Still, I’m really worried about him. I mean, his relationship with trina is just — it’s just so special. I just think that he could really use someone to talk to right now, and I’m so glad that he has a friend in you. Sure. I’ll talk to taggert. Okay. Not to intrude, but… how is curtis handling the news? Auntie, of course I forgive you, but I’m not trying to sit here and listen to a lecture about family. I know. Not right now. Okay. If agent devane chooses to dispute the charges, the bureau might need to take a closer look at robert scorpio or annie donely or any other colleagues who might be stained by her misdeeds. Just hang on a minute. If I’m being asked to do what I think I’m being asked to do, then I need assurance. Well, no — no, no, no. We’re not in the business of negotiating with double agents. Oh, really? That’s a shame. Because what if my file is incomplete? Suppose there are other missions I undertook — other black ops that didn’t make it into my dossier, didn’t make it into the wsb official books. Suppose I have evidence of these hypothetical ops hidden in some secure location — evidence of activities that would seriously embarrass the wsb far more than whatever news is being tallied around. Is that a threat? Oh, no. I think what anna’s saying is — what I’m saying is if anything happens to robert or annie or anyone else I care about, I am taking the bureau down with me! Okay, so my mom has the chance to avoid these insider trading charges if she gives evidence against sonny. Would she do it? No, of course not. She won’t even consider it. But she doesn’t have to, because I can do it for her. Do you regret taking the dna test? No. Not at all. I just miss my family the way they were. Mm. Well, you’ll find your way back to them. It’ll be different, but the bottom line is that you and your mother have always had a great relationship. You know I’ve always been jealous of it. Yeah. I mean, it could be way worse. I should have listened to your experience, asked for details. That’s the first thing they teach you in med school — you listen to your patient. You respect them. That didn’t happen for you. It’s been a long time since I’ve thought about it. Yes, it was isolating — scary, even — to be told that your pain was all in your head. I’m so sorry. Molly, I promise you, I never have and I never will say that to anyone under my care. I know. That’s why I love you so much. I thought I had to deal with this diagnosis on my own, like always. But now that I’ve told you and my mom and my sisters, I know that that’s not true, because I’m not alone. And if I’m not alone, anything is possible. Trina and I are making progress, but it is not easy. I can’t imagine it would be. So I am just trying to take it slow and make it abundantly clear that I am not trying to replace taggert. We knew that he could be trina’s biological father, but now that it’s been confirmed, now that we know the truth, I just… at least stella stopped by. So I’m hoping maybe he’ll be able to talk things out with her. Stella is back in town? Yeah. Yeah. She came back to check on trina after everything that happened in greenland. So I’m hoping that when I get home from work, that maybe curtis and stella will have made some progress. Uh, I’m sorry. I’m a little confused. What do you mean, home? I’m sorry. I’m not being clear. All you have to do is give me the evidence of sonny working with pikeman, and I’ll do what my mom can’t, and I’ll turn sonny in, once and for all.

Katie: Which means it’s highly likely that there might be some sort of reconnection?

Carter: Stranger things have happened. But I don’t know. I don’t know. Taylor and brooke’s friendship, it feels pretty legit.

Katie: It is. I– I think it’s great, and I love this independent side of brooke, but that doesn’t mean her love life has to come to a screeching halt. You know, if ridge is ready to commit to her, I mean, fully commit without one eye lingering on taylor, then why shouldn’t she go for it? I’m sure taylor would do the same in a similar situation.

Carter: Okay. But is ridge ready?

Katie: Maybe not. But after a few days with brooke in one of the most romantic cities in the world, I think he will be.

Ridge: I gotta say my time in the penalty box has not been easy.

Brooke: Yeah? Is that how it feels? Like you’re in trouble? Well, taylor and i aren’t doing this to punish you in any way, or make you feel bad–

[ Carter laughing ] Imagine how wonderful it would be for brooke and ridge if they end up there together.

Carter: You’re not pushing this reunion at all.

Katie: I’m not, I’m a totally neutral party.

[ Carter laughing ] Oh, come oN. I mean, just think about it. Like, I just want my sister to be happy and she’s never more happy than when she’s with ridge.

Carter: I can’t argue. If they had their reunion in rome, it would be an epic moment.

Katie: It would.

Carter: The most romantic time in their lives, but if it were to actually happen, think about what they’d come home to. They can’t stay in italy forever. They’d come back to L.A., And, you know damn well taylor will have something to say about it.

Katie: Hmm.

Taylor: Oh, hey.

Ridge: Hey. If you’re looking for steffy, she is in a financial meeting that is probably the most boring meeting of the year and I was very lucky to get out of it.

Taylor: Okay. And if you’re looking for your bff, she is somewhere that I would not want to be.

Taylor: What? Where– where’s brooke?

Ridge: Il giardino, talking to deacon.

Taylor: Really?

Ridge: Yeah, he called, said it was very important.

Taylor: Well, maybe, he finally, cracked the code for the best pizza sauce in the world or something.

Ridge: Maybe he did. I don’t know, I don’t think it was that important. I think it was probably about hope. I mean, why else would he call brooke?

Deacon: Was I right about the chardonnay?

Woman: Yes, thank you.

Deacon: Okay. Enjoy.

When it comes down to it,

there’s really

worth asking, brooke.

And “what’s worth fighting for?

Brooke: [ Laughing ] Hi.

Deacon: Yeah, uh, thank you for coming. Uh– uh, let’s, um– let’s– let’s sit down. Uh, did you want coffee or, uh, iced tea?

Brooke: Iced tea would be good.

Deacon: Hey, sam, do me a favor. Can we get a quick iced tea? Thanks. Um…

Brooke: You seem a little nervous. What’s going on? Is it hope?

Deacon: No, no, no, she’s doing great. I mean, she is good, right? Everything’s good?

Brooke: Uh…

Deacon: She came in earlier, she was telling me about rome. That’s– that’s exciting, right?

Brooke: Right, oh, yes, that is very exciting. It gives her a chance to showcase her line.

Deacon: Right, I tell you, I’m just– I’m blown away by everything that she’s– she’s accomplishing. Everything she’s doing. Honestly, it’s– it’s kind of hard to believe that she came from us. Not you, me. I mean, just, um, you know, she’s just– she’s so dynamic. She’s so… I don’t know, she’s so kind just, I guess, that maybe, that is part of the reason that I asked you to come here.

Brooke: Because of hope?

Deacon: Because of what we shared, once. I used to pre-rinse dishes cause my old detergent

Taylor: So, she is with deacon. I mean, it– it could be about hope. Could be about a number of things.

Ridge: Yes, it could be about a number of things, but if it’s about money, if he’s asking for a loan, we’re gonna have a problem.

Taylor: Oh, I don’t– come on, don’t be silly. Il giardino is doing just fine.

Ridge: As far as we know.

Taylor: Yes.

Ridge: Why else would he be calling her? For what?

Taylor: I don’t know. Why are you making a big deal about it? They have a kid together, so.

Ridge: Yeah, deacon and brooke, that was, uh, not her finest hour.

[ Taylor chuckling ]

Taylor: That was scandalous for sure, but something good came out of it. They made hope.

Ridge: Okay.

Taylor: And, you know, that really bonds most people together, having kids.

Ridge: Always about the kids, isn’t it? Always about those crazy kids.

Taylor: And you, it’s also about you. I mean, you have been a really important part of my life for a long time. I mean, before the kids came along. We share a lot of beautiful memories. We really do.

[ Brooke sighing ]

Brooke: Wow. [ Laughs ] Okay. Somebody wants to take a trip down memory lane, I’m guessing.

Deacon: Would that be so bad?

Brooke: No, no. I mean, some memories are worth remembering and smiling about, and others…

Deacon: Brooke, I’m sorry for any pain that I caused you.

Brooke: No.

Deacon: No, this captivating woman who I– you know how I feel about you, how I’ll always feel about you.

Brooke: I do.

Deacon: I’m just so thankful to have you in my life and I’m so sorry for the way that it started. For the person that I was all those years ago. But I’ve been thinking about it and I– I believe that people come into each other’s lives for a reason, and I think maybe, you came into my life to help me change. You inspire me to be a better man. To be someone. I mean, if a woman as extraordinary as you can see potential in me, someone so smart, so breathtakingly gorgeous.

[ Brooke chuckling ] I mean, do you have any idea the influence that you’ve had in my life? Take the restaurant, for example. I’ve wasted so much time, and now, it’s like I’ve got this fire in my belly. You know, I just– I just want to succeed.

Brooke: Yes.

Deacon: And I want to prove to you and hope that– that I can do this. You’re two of the most important women in my life.

Brooke: Wow. Okay. Um, I mean, it makes me feel good to hear you say these things. I’m just a little confused. I’m not sure where you’re going with all of this.

Deacon: I know that you and taylor have vowed not to pursue ridge.

Brooke: Right?

Deacon: And, I mean, that doesn’t mean that you’ve sworn off all men, right? I– I– I know this– I know this is crazy, but maybe, it’s our time. Maybe, it’s our chance, I… brooke, I have worked so damn hard to put my life back together, and it’s working, and this is just the beginning. I’m making better choices, and the best choice that I could think of is being with you. Doing everything I can to– to show you and hope the man that I am now. Do you think that there’s a chance that we could find our way back to each other? That we could be a family for hope, for our grandchildren? I know I’ve said this before. Since you and ridge are separated, I’m gonna say it again. I love you. I love you more than anyone or anything. Please, come back to me.

Anjli Mohindra grew up in Nottingham and trained at The Television Workshop – an East Midlands-based training centre for young acting talent.

Her first major TV role was as Rani Chandra in CBBC’s *The Sarah Jane Adventures* – a part she played for four series between 2008-2011.

She has since had roles in many television dramas including *Cucumber* (Channel 4), written by Russell T Davies, *Paranoid* (Netflix), *The Boy with The Topknot* (BBC Two), *Bancroft* (ITV), *Dark Heart* (ITV), *The Dead Room* (BBC Four) opposite Simon Callow and *Wild Bill* alongside Hollywood star Rob Lowe.

She starred as Nadia in the BAFTA-winning BBC/Netflix thriller *Bodyguard*, a controversial role for which she received critical acclaim and in 2021 starred in *Vigil* – the BBC’s biggest new drama of the year – alongside Suranne Jones.

She recently featured in Netflix film Munich: The Edge of War with Jeremy Irons and George MacKay and starred in The Lazarus Project – a thriller for Sky alongside Paapa Essiedu as well as The Suspect for ITV with Aidan Turner.

Kyle: It looks like I’ve interrupted something. What are you two talking about?

Summer: Kyle, chance was just here. He told us the news that, um, he found proof that our mom is alive.

Daniel: No more doubts. No more questions. It’s undeniable. Chance is absolutely sure.

Summer: That means that the charges against diane are gonna be dropped. You believed that your mom was innocent this whole time. You were right. I’m sorry that I blamed her for a murder that didn’t even happen.

Kyle: You were racked with grief. I know how hard it is to face a pain like that.

Summer: And you know exactly what it feels like to find out that it was all lie.

Kyle: Of course, I do.

Summer: I’m so sorry. I hope that you can forgive me.

Kyle: Of course, I can. You were in pain and needed answers. All the clues pointed to my mom because that’s what stark wanted. I’m just glad he can never hurt anyone ever again.

Summer: So hasst that happened yet? Has she been formally released?

Kyle: It’s true. My mom is free.

Lucy: Thanks for letting me hang out at your offices today.

Lily: Of course.

Lucy: Those coders were so cool. I mean, it’s a totally different crore than my mom’s office friends.

Lily: Yeah. I know. Well, of course. And they have amazing fashion sense. They definitely keep our offices on trend.

Lucy: I didn’t see a single blue suit, which is basically my mom’s entire office uniform.

Lily: Well, I mean, lawyers are really cool too, in their own way.

Lucy: Um… lily…

Lily: Yeah? Lucy, whatever it is, I promise you can ask me.

Lucy: Is it true that you and my dad were married when you guys were basically kids?

[ Sally sighing ]

[ Sally panting ]

Sally: What is going on? Oh, did you feel that too?

Faith: Mariah, you don’t have to stay to help clean up. I’ve got this.

Mariah: Oh, no, you– you just got home. You can go unpack or hang out with dorm cat.

Faith: His name is borgnine, as you know. And he’s probably still sleeping. So, I’m on cleanup duty. And you know just how much I love washing dirty dishes.

Mariah: I know that. So, I’m gonna let you wash and I will dry.

Faith: Thanks. How kind of you.

Mariah: Well, I gave you a chance to escape, but you sort of blew it, so.

Nick: I mean, will you look at these pictures? The greatest collection of women who’ve ever been assembled. The photographer’s obviously very talented. He crushed it.

Faith: Poor dad. You can’t actually take credit for all of our fabulousness. All you did was take the picture.

Nick: That’s a skill, faith. I mean, you can’t just aim and shoot, all right? The framing, the lighting, it’s all perfect. I mean, ask your mom. She’s impressed.

Faith: Mom?

Sharon: Huh? Yeah. Uh, you’re all wonderful and– and talented.

Mariah: Uh, sort of out of nowhere, but I will take it.

Faith: What’s going on? What’s got you so distracted? Ma ma ma ma

[Clears throut]

Sharon: Yes. That’s exactly what I was thinking about, our family and how lucky I am to have all of you. But it is time for you two to go. There’s no reason for you to hang out. Nick can help me clean up.

Faith: We don’t mind. Really.

Sharon: No, no. Faith, you just got home. Why don’t you go and visit your friends or visit family. I know that victor and nikki are dying to see you.

Faith: I did promise granddad I’d be by to lose at chess.

Mariah: Wow. That’s the fighting spirit.

Faith: Guess the dirty dishes are on you, dad.

Nick: It is my welcome home gift to you, kiddo.

Sharon: Have fun.

Faith: Bye. Maybe we can go to the tack house first so I can video chat moses and show him the new baby.

Mariah: Perfect. I mean, if she’s asleep, she will not be for long. Trust me. Bye, guys.

Nick: Bye.

Sharon: Bye.

Nick: You did a great job covering. What was in the box that was delivered?

Sharon: Okay.

Nick: This is the motel where cameron attacked you. The son of a bitch has a twisted sense of humor.

Sharon: Makes me sick to my stomach to think about it. But, he’s in prison, right?

Nick: I mean, he certainly should be. There’s no way this lunatic should be out in the streets ever again.

Sharon: Cameron is up to something. Sending me all of these little packages and gifts. What can he possibly want? What message is he trying to send?

[ Door knocking ]

Chance: Hey.

Nick: Hey.

Chance: I got news about kirsten. It’s not great.

Cameron: Miss? Hey, I– I don’t mean to bother you, but, um, are you okay?

Sally: Yeah, I’m– I’m fine. I just– I had a little double vision. It’s just making me dizzy.

Cameron: Yeah. Well, look in– in your condition that’s– that’s nothing to mess around with, uh. Can I– can I call somebody for you?

Daniel: Well, you must be relieved, kyle. Your mom’s been vindicated. What our mother put you and the rest of your family through was brutal. Still can’t believe she would do such a thing.

Summer: But it wasn’t mom’s fault. You know, it was stark. He was the one that lured her in, manipulated her, threatened to kill her when she didn’t do what he wanted. I mean, that’s what she told you, right?

Daniel: Right. And, you know, I’m sure stark didn’t expect to wind up dead.

Summer: If stark had it his way, then mom would be the one that was dead right now. Both mom and diane are stark’s victim.

Daniel: Exactly. Just let your mom know how happy I am that this part of the nightmare is over for her and I’m sorry that I couldn’t do something to clear her sooner.

Kyle: I’ll certainly pass along your message. And we’ll always owe you a debt of gratitude for coming forward after hearing about phyllis.

Daniel: It was the only right thing to do.

Kyle: Even so, you could have kept phyllis’s secret. I know you wanted to protect her at all costs, but you didn’T. You came forward and set my mom free.

Daniel: Well, I can never stay quiet when someone’s entire future is at stake. I wouldn’t have been able to live with myself otherwise.

Kyle: I– I realize the emotions are complicated for both of you, but the good news is your mother is alive. It’s like a miracle you secretly hope for, but never out loud. I get it. And when phyllis comes forward and explains why she did what she did, christine, the police, they’ll listen. They’ll try to be fair. I know you’re worried about the repercussions, but phyllis is tough as hell. She’ll get through it.

Summer: There shouldn’t be any repercussions. Anything criminal my mom did was in self-defense. She’s not a murderer. She’s just not. The D.A. Is gonna see that. She has to. (Vo) nature valley is committed to protecting our national parks.

Lily: Um, who told you that your dad and I were married?

Lucy: So, it’s true.

Lily: Well, it was a very long time ago.

Lucy: Wow. That’s a yes.

Lily: Okay. Have you talked to your dad about this?

Lucy: No, not– not yet. But– but I can if you’re not comfortable talking about it. I mean, dad will tell me the truth no matter what, even if it’s that awful.

Lily: Well, no, no, no, no. It– it wasn’t awful. I mean, that’s definitely an overstatement.

Lucy: How old were you guys?

Lily: Uh, we were not old enough to be married, that’s for sure.

Lucy: This is crazy. I mean, you’re literally my dad’s ex-wife and you guys just act like your old friends.

Lily: Okay, listen. I do not condone what we did at such a young age. I do not.

Lucy: Okay. Okay. I get it. I won’t run off and marry some kid from homeroom. Tell me everything.

Lily: Oh, gosh. Um…

[ Laughs ] Well, we were married for almost a year, but you know, we were just way too young and, you know, couldn’t handle the responsibility that came our way.

Lucy: I mean, you guys said vows and there– there must have been a marriage license and then a divorce? I mean, just think about all the teasing I can get off of my dad. And wait, doesn’t that make you guys each other’s first loves? Wow. How romantic is that? Now you guys are together again. I mean, that’s a book I’d totally read.

Lily: Okay, hold on.

Lucy: Wait. And if my dad ever tells me that I’m too young to know what love is, I can just point at you guys. I mean, star crossed lovers destined to finally be together.

Lily: Okay, listen.

[ Lily laughing ] We were way too young to handle what was coming our way, okay? The only thing we were destined for was failure. That’s it.

Lucy: Weren’t you guys in love?

Lily: Of course. Yeah, we were very much in love and–

Lucy: Good. Then, you can–

Lily: Hello?

Daniel: Hi.

Lily: Hi.

Daniel: These two little rays of sunshine. What did I miss?

Lucy and lily: Nothing.

[ Lily laughing ]

Sharon: I’m sick to my stomach already.

Nick: What’d you find out?

Chance: So, cameron kirsten was released after serving his original sentence.

Sharon: Oh, no.

Chance: And then he relocated to los angeles.

Sharon: Is he still in L.A.?

Chance: Well, he was arrested there for assaulting his girlfriend.

Nick: That’s his thing. This coward, he goes after women.

Sharon: Same thing he did to me.

Chance: Look at this.

Sharon: That’s his girlfriend?

Chance: Yeah. She looks just like you. I doubt that’s a coincidence.

Nick: Well, do you know where he is now?

Chance: No. He was released six months ago and his whereabouts are unknown.

Nick: Doesn’t he have like a parole officer keeping tabs on him or something?

Chance: I read the report and I’ll admit, it’s kinda sketchy. So, what’s the deal with this guy? I mean, clearly he’s dangerous and outta control. Why don’t you fill me in on what cameron kirsten is capable of?

Cameron: Look, miss, I– I– I don’t wanna crowd you or disturb you or anything like that, but I don’t feel right just leaving you here like this. Are you sure you don’t need medical attention?

Sally: Yeah, I’m– I’m okay. Really. There’s someone else I can call.

[ Sally sighing ]

Adam: Sally?

Sally: Adam, I– I really hate to do this, but can you come get me?

Adam: Um, a– absolutely. What– what’s wrong?

Sally: I– I think I should go see my ob.

Adam: Okay. Um, I’m on my way. Where are you?

Sally: I’m in the park.

Adam: Okay. I– I’ll be there soon and we can get you both looked at, okay? Sally?

Sally: Yeah.

Adam: It’s gonna be okay.

Sally: Right. Yeah. Yeah. It’s– it’s probably nothing.

Adam: Just sit tight.

Sharon: I met cameron when I was in denver and I made a terrible mistake. Nick and I were together at the time, but our marriage was in trouble. I tried to drown my troubles in alcohol, and cameron took advantage of that. I trusted him and he became violent.

Chance: He assaulted you.

Sharon: I didn’t want nick to find out what cameron had done to me. I was just going through so much at the time. So, I kept quiet and I never went to the police. I just hid out in denver and waited for my wounds to heal. It was a really hard time in my life. I just wanted to forget that it had ever happened, but I didn’t have a choice when cameron showed up in genoa city. You have to realize that when you saw me in denver, I was a different person.

Cameron: Oh, oh yeah? When– when exactly was that? When you were sitting on that bar stool pretty as a picture slamming tequila shots?

Sharon: I was in a very down, a very down time. I was running away from my own life.

Cameron: But now you’re back.

Sharon: And, um, in a way, you– you did me a favor. Beating me to a pulp like that I realized that I needed my family back.

Cameron: I never beat you. We had a lovely time together.

Sharon: All right. You– you– you believe whatever you wanna believe. I know what my face looked like after you were finished with it.

Nick: If I had known what that bastard had done to you.

Sharon: I was too ashamed. I didn’t want you to know. And cameron exploited that. He blackmailed me into meeting him one night. Made my skin crawl every moment that I was with him. But I just, I still kept telling myself that I can handle this myself. I can handle him. Cameron, I’m begging you. Okay? I’m married. I– I have children. Will you please, please just leave me alone.

Cameron: You were married and you had children when I met you in denver, and you still slept with me.

Sharon: No, no. I– I told you why that happened. Look, I– I was drunk. I– I was horribly depressed and my life was a total disaster.

Cameron: You’re the sexiest woman I’ve ever been with.

Sharon: I was out of my mind, damn it! Do you honestly think that if I had known what I was doing, if I had known what kind of man you are, I would let you take me back to that hotel room?

Cameron: You think I’m a monster? Am I a monster? Look, I don’t know why it happened that way in denver, but I know this. It doesn’t have to be that way this time.

Sharon: Oh, meaning this time you won’t beat me up. Now, there’s an offer I can’t refuse.

Cameron: Don’t– don’t– don’t you do that. Don’t get smart with me.

Sharon: Why are you doing this?

Cameron: I want you like I haven’t wanted a woman in a very, very long time.

Sharon: Too bad.

Cameron: Come on, sharon. I can be anything you want me to be. I can be anything you want me to be. I can be gentle. I can be tender. I can be a little rough if that’s what you want. You tell me.

Sharon: You just don’t get it. I want you out of my life.

Cameron: Yeah? Guess what honey? We don’t always get what we want. Where are you going? You’re not going anywhere. Not yet.

Sharon: Get– get– get off of me!

Cameron: I don’t think so. I have waited too long for this.

[ Cameron shushing ] I promise you. I promise you, you’ll like this.

[ Sharon grunting ] Sit down! You wanna play it this way, huh? Huh? Take off your dress. Get that dress off. Do it. Take it off. Take off that dress now! Don’t make me ask you again.

Sharon: I would rather die.

Cameron: You little whore.

[ Both grunting ]

[ Grunting ] Ah, you bitch!

Sharon: I thought he was dead. I thought that I killed him. I hid his body. I tried to just move on with my life. I thought that the nightmare was over, but it was only just the beginning.

Adam: Here you are. I’m glad that you called me.

Sally: Oh, thank you for coming.

Adam: Of course. Of course. You can call me anytime. Always. Um, do you think that you’re okay to walk? The car’s just right over there.

Sally: I’m– I’m so sorry for interrupting your day. Really. I feel so silly. I just, I had double vision and it passed after I sat down for a little bit, so.

Adam: Well, that’s good, but I still think that we should go to the doctor anyway. I don’t think it would hurt to get you checked out, okay?

Sally: Yeah, no, you’re probably right.

[ Sally panting ]

Adam: What is it? Did you forget something?

Sally: No. There was a guy that was really helpful and he wouldn’t leave until I was okay. I don’t know. I was gonna thank him, but I guess he’s gone.

Adam: Well, I’m glad that somebody was here for you, but come on. I really wanna get you outta here and I wanna get you to the doctor.

Lucy: Dad, your tech team is on fire. The things they were creating were– were amazing. I mean, I just can’t wait to see the animation when it’s all finished.

Daniel: I’m glad you were so impressed.

Lucy: Princess louisa is gonna slay.

Lily: [ Laughing ] I mean, she was so enthralled she didn’t wanna leave.

Daniel: Oh, sounds like we have a hit in the making.

Lucy: And to think, I inspired it all.

Daniel: Best muse ever. Hey, uh, listen. Best muse ever, why don’t you head over to the bar and order some of that pie that you’re so obsessed with.

Lucy: At the bar?

Daniel: Yes, at the bar.

Lucy: And then I assume I’m supposed to eat it there too, so that you two can talk?

[ Lily laughing ]

Daniel: Well, that’s a great idea.

Lucy: Subtle. Seriously.

Daniel: Thank you. I try.

Lily and daniel: I have news.

Lily: Okay.

Kyle: Well, my parents aren’t upstairs.

Summer: They’re not out back or in the kitchen either.

Kyle: Guess mom couldn’t wait to get back out in the world. So much of rushing home to celebrate. I guess they were in a hurry too.

Summer: Who can blame them? You know, they must be over the moon. Nobody thought that it would happen this quickly. You too. I’m really happy for you.

Kyle: Yeah. Well, the relief is intense and I imagine it will only get better. But to be honest, I was terrified in certain moments, just like I know you are with phyllis right now, but I promise you, summer, we will find her and we will bring her home.

Summer: You’re so loving thinking about me and my worries right now.

Kyle: Hey, what else would I be thinking about? You know, we’re a team. I love you, summer. You’ve gotta know that.

Summer: I love you too. I gotta go.

Kyle: What? Where?

Summer: I, um, I’ve got an errand that I need to run and since nobody’s here to celebrate anyway–

Kyle: You’re leaving now? Just like that? Looking for a smarter way to mop?

Daniel: You go first.

Lily: No, you go first.

Daniel: Okay. Um, well, it’s huge. I mean, chance found proof that mom’s still alive and the charges against diane are being dropped.

Lily: That’s great. That’s amazing. See, wasn’t it worth it coming forward with the news about your mom? You did the right thing and it paid off.

Daniel: It does feel like a big weight’s been lifted.

Lily: So what’s gonna happen to phyllis?

Daniel: I have no idea how things are gonna turn out for her. And I highly doubt that she’s gonna suddenly come out of hiding and face the consequences for what she did.

Lily: Why do you think that?

Daniel: Oh, I don’t know. Maybe ’cause of who she is and what she’s done so far. Honestly, I’m not really sure of anything anymore. Except one thing.

Lily: What?

Daniel: Summer definitely knows where mom is, but she’s not gonna tell me. It’s driving me crazy. You know, thinking that she could be close by somewhere and I can’t see her. I can’t talk to her. I would give anything just to be able to hug her and just tell her that I love her and tell her how much I miss her.

Lily: I’m sorry. I know that’s really hard knowing that she’s close by and you can’t reach her. But listen, no matter what, you set something very important in motion and that’s diane’s freedom. So no matter what happens with your sister, you did the right thing.

Daniel: Summer would disagree, but it was a good thing. It was the right thing. I needed to be reminded of that. What was it you wanted to say?

Lily: I don’t know.

Daniel: Okay. How’d she take the news?

Lily: She was thrilled because she now feels like we’re star-crossed lovers who were destined to be together again.

Nick: If kirsten has a nerve to show his face in this town again after what he did, thinking he could weasel his way back into sharon’s life again–

Sharon: We don’t know that’s the case.

Nick: But he was obsessed with you, sharon, and he clearly still is. He’s deranged. The things he did to you, sharon thought he was dead and gone.

Chance: Meaning what?

Sharon: He made every moment a loving hell for me. He started all of that by haunting me outside of a window, somewhere in the shadows, so I could never get a moment away from my crime or my shame. It’s just all pain. Hold me tight. I was on edge, I was unraveling. And then one day, cameron showed up. He was alive and well. He said that he had been away on some island or something. He was acting as if nothing had ever happened. But this time he didn’t want me, just me. He wanted revenge. He wanted me to suffer.

Nick: He framed sharon for murder, then took her hostage.

Sharon: If it weren’t for nick, I wouldn’t be here right now telling you this. Nick, be careful. You’re gonna kill him.

Cameron: We’re both dead already.

Nick: Just like frank barrett, huh? I got the whole thing on tape. You’re going down, bitch. And this is for frank.

Pilot: Mr. Kirsten, everything all right back there?

Sharon: Nick, we are gonna parachute out of the airplane?

Nick: Babe, this may be our last chance to get out of this alive.

Sharon: It was supposed to be over then. He was arrested, convicted.

Nick: He still needs to be in a cell.

Chance: Well, unfortunately that’s not the case.

Nick: But you understand what we’re dealing with.

Sharon: He’s relentless, vicious, and I will never let him terrorize me like that again.

Summer: I’m sorry, kyle. I– I’ll be back soon and we’ll all toast to your mom and her freedom. I– I promise you. It’s just– I– I have some things that I need to check on at the office.

Kyle: Now? Can’t you make a few calls and handle it from here?

[ Sally sighing ]

Adam: Oh, false alarm. Just like we hoped. You and the baby are gonna be just fine.

Sally: It’s not that simple.

Adam: No, I know. You’re right. But your new medication is gonna be delivered soon. The doc is taking care of things. You’re gonna take the meds, you’re gonna ease up on stress and anxiety. Sally: You can’t be sure of that. I’ve been so careful. I have done everything that the doctor said. I’ve been eating well, I’ve been getting sleep, I’ve been taking my vitamins. How can I be at risk for preeclampsia when I’ve been doing all the right things?

Adam: I don’t know. It’s– it’s one of life’s mysteries. But now we know, so we’re gonna follow the doctor’s orders.

Sally: Yeah, but it’s not we. It’s me.

[ Voice breaks ] And I did something wrong.

Adam: No, you did something very right. That is why you called your ob exactly when you needed to.

[ Sally sniffling ]

Sally: Chloe and i really need to dive in to this assignment for chancellor-winters. Taking it easy is not on the agenda right now.

Adam: I’m sure that chloe would love the chance to shine. I mean, this could be her chance to show everybody how brilliantly talented she is. Why not ease up on the work and let her do more of it? I know that she could dazzle chancellor-winters. She could knock their socks off if she had the chance.

Sally: You really think so?

Adam: As a friend and a colleague, let her show what she’s got. Just– just delegate. That’ll give you more time to rest.

Sally: Since when did you become so calm and reasonable?

Kyle: Summer.

Chance: I’m sorry to make you go through all that again. This guy is clearly a dirt bag. I appreciate you sharing that with me.

Nick: What good is it gonna do? You can’t do anything until this guy crosses the line and he knows that. He’s smart. He hasn’t made his way to genoa city, but I’m sure it’s on the agenda.

Chance: Look, I– I get it’s frustrating, but know the guy’s on my radar now, all right? He is a known perp contacting a former victim. That’s a dangerous combination. So, here’s what I think we do. If you guys get any more mysterious messages, keep sending them to me. I’m gonna see if I can find out where he’s been since he got outta L.A.

Nick: I do not want this guy anywhere near sharon or the girls.

Sally: And boy, does it ever. But just so you know, I– I really appreciate it.

Adam: Can I tell you something?

Sally: Sure.

Adam: I’m just glad that– that you called me instead of nick. Oh, you– you– you did call nick, didn’t you? You– you– you called him first. Okay. I mean that makes sense. I get it. Um, I’m fine with that.

Sally: Really?

Adam: Really. Really. Uh, but you need to get your rest, so, um, I can, uh, I can stay or I can go. It’s your call.

Sally: Um, actually I would really appreciate it if you stayed. Maybe just for a little longer.

Sharon: Chance will have an update on cameron’s whereabouts as soon as he can.

Nick: Not if cameron doesn’t wanna be found.

Sharon: He’s screaming for attention. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have sent me the champagne and the postcard and the cigar box. Maybe that’s all it will be. Some creepy deliveries. He’s already been in prison twice before. Is he really gonna risk a third?

Nick: Who knows what he’s gonna do? He’s incapable of rational thought. Seriously, what is to stop him from making his way back to genoa city again?

Now, once engraftment has occurred, willow can go home, but we’ll still want to track her recovery in case complications arise. What kind of complications? Willow’s body is essentially rebuilding its immune system, so she’ll be highly susceptible to infection. We want to monitor that. Another possible major complication is graft-versus-host disease, which is when the patient’s body rejects the donated cells. Wow. That’s — that’s a lot to take in. Try not to worry. Carter: Katie’s handling the italian media.

Ridge: Look at you putting together an advanced team. Good for you, carter.

Carter: Thank you. All from international. Steffy wants them handling all the logistics in rome.

Ridge: All right, I gotta ask a question. Can anyone think of a more perfect place than rome in spring?

Eric: No. It’s a beautiful place. You’re right. But look, hope and thomas have been working really well together, but this is gonna be an intense experience for them. Is there any reason for us to worry about them working together?

Brooke: Steffy should have kept her concerns to herself.

Taylor: Steffy was just defending her brother.

Brooke: No. Steffy was accusing hope of having feelings for thomas, and she was getting liam to not trust his wife’s commitment. Come on, taylor, please. As my friend, just step up and help me. Go to your daughter, talk to her, and don’t allow her to do anything that’s gonna come between hope and liam.

Deacon: We’ve got some fantastic new chardonnays in the wine list. I’m gonna send victoria over now. Okay, great. Victoria, do me a favor, bring the new wine and serve it at table three, okay?

Victoria: Yes, deacon.

Hope: Ahem!

Deacon: Oh, look at this. It’s my favorite customer.

Hope: It is… busy today. Do you, um, have a table for me?

Deacon: You have a res? Uh, of course, I do. Best seat in the house. Bar side, up front with your old man.

Hope: Sounds great.

Deacon: So, what are you in the mood for?

Hope: Mm. Not really sure. I just, uh, needed to see a friendly face.

Deacon: Uh-oh. What’s going on, hope? Oh, god. Let me guess. This has to do with thomas, doesn’t it?

Hope: Ugh! Is it okay if we don’t talk about thomas?

Deacon: Honey, if he’s causing problems or– or if he’s done something, you can talk to me.

Hope: Dad, it’s not what you think, okay? It’s not what anyone thinks. I mean, everyone is so worried about thomas and me when there’s no reason to be, all right? And I’m– I’m tired of people not believing me, okay? I have the situation under control.

Deacon: What situation? Hope, please talk to me.

Eric: Thomas and hope have been working really well together, but an event like this can be very challenging.

Carter: They’re ready for it.

Eric: Any concerns, ridge?

Ridge: No, I think their work speaks for itself.

Eric: Well, it’s all about collaboration and teamwork, so.

Carter: It really is. And I’m– I’m so impressed with hope. Allowing thomas to rejoin the line. She knew what they could accomplish if she gave him a chance.

Ridge: So obviously, thomas’s past didn’t turn out to be the problem everybody thought it was gonna be.

Taylor: You know, steffy made it clear to liam and hope that she wasn’t trying to cause any trouble at all. She was just defending her brother.

Brooke: But you could imagine how liam reacted.

Taylor: Yes. Yes. Yes, I can. And what I would hope is that it would prompt a conversation between liam and hope because if your daughter is having feelings for my son–

Brooke: Well, hope doesn’t have feelings for thomas, so you don’t have to worry about that.

Taylor: Okay. Well, normally I– I probably wouldn’t worry about that, but I don’t know. You, um, you didn’t listen to me when I was saying the same things about thomas.

Brooke: Well, I couldn’t just forget about his past.

Taylor: Okay. Well, I guess I can’t forget that hope has logan blood in her.

[ Brooke scoffing ] When you have chronic kidney disease.

Ridge: All right. Carter, what else?

Carter: Uh, actually I wanna run this by you. I reached out to our associates in milano. Thomas and hope, they’re very excited about doing press, so they wanna set up some social engagements.

Eric: The more exposure, the better.

Ridge: Yeah. Okay. Uh, but they need to focus on what they’re doing, right? Let’s not have them run around having their picture taken.

Eric: Eh, that’s part of the fun, isn’t it? I mean, every time you and brooke went over there, you were front page news. Is– is brooke going with you?

Ridge: Is brooke go– why?

Eric: Well, hope for the future is her daughter’s line. Shouldn’t she go?

Ridge: You know what, dad? You’re not as subtle as you think you are. Thomas is lead designer, so should taylor go as well? Or what do you think?

Carter: I love this. I like this a lot. I like when we veer from the meeting and we explore your love life.

Ridge: My love life?

Carter: Yeah.

Ridge: There’s no love life. Those two women, they’ve sworn off of me for whatever reason.

[ Carter laughing ]

Hope: I’m telling you, dad, there’s nothing wrong. I mean, that is the problem. But I’m tired of everybody worrying about me constantly.

Deacon: Should I be worried? I– I mean, am I falling down at the job here?

Hope: No.

Deacon: Hope, listen, you can come to me anytime you want. You know that, right? If you wanna talk. Is that what this is about?

Hope: No, I don’t wanna talk about this, okay? Liam has already been concerned about thomas and me working together for a while now.

Deacon: Can’t say I blame the guy.

Hope: Except there’s no reason to be anymore, dad. I mean, it’s like I keep trying to reassure him and everybody else that thomas is fine now and no matter how hard I try, no one believes me.

Deacon: Define fine.

Hope: He’s better.

Deacon: Better– better than how crazy he was five minutes ago, better? I mean, it’s a pretty low bar, hope.

Hope: He is a professional. He has been a gentleman. He’s a better father to douglas now and let’s not forget, he is a very, very valuable part of my team.

Deacon: Okay. All right.

Hope: Okay.

Deacon: Great. I– I’m honestly happy to hear that, you know? I mean, look, I trust you not to put yourself in a tough situation, all right? You– you get your best qualities from your mother, but you get your street smarts from me, all right? You know your own feelings. I mean, look, if thomas isn’t setting off alarm bells, you know, you’re not getting that weird twisty feeling in your gut, I’m gonna say that you probably don’t have to stress about it. I mean, you know, you’re closer than anyone. Seeing him with new eyes, I guess. I’ll be right back.

Brooke: Hope has logan blood in her? What is that supposed to mean?

Taylor: Let’s see if I can clarify it. Honestly, it just means that hope has logan blood in her.

Brooke: Oh, my god.

Taylor: Mm-hmm.

Brooke: Seriously?

Taylor: Seriously.

Brooke: Seriously, you’re gonna go there?

Taylor: Come on, brooke. I’m not– I’m not trying to fight or anything. No. But I will always defend my family and thomas has changed. He’s doing so well. You have nothing to worry about when it comes to him working with hope, unless…

Brooke: Unless what?

Taylor: Well, unless hope is the one having inappropriate feelings for my son.

Brooke: Oh, my god. I– I thought we were friends.

Taylor: Well, friends can disagree.

Brooke: Respectfully.

Taylor: Right.

Brooke: Right.

Taylor: See, I have been very respectful about the way that you feel about my son. I don’t understand why– why is it wrong for me to share my feelings with you?

Brooke: It’s not the same thing, taylor.

Taylor: Oh, okay. Okay.

Brooke: You know what? You know what? Our pact meant a lot to me and I don’t want anything to happen to our friendship here, so I’m gonna do the right thing and I’m gonna take myself out before I say something that I’m gonna regret.

Taylor: Well, it’s too late for that.

[ Door closes ] (Wheezing)

Deacon: Don’t wanna take you away

Hope: I knew I came to the right place.

Deacon: Any time, kiddo.

Hope: Well, I, uh, don’t wanna take you away from your customers.

Deacon: Are you kidding me? Look, if my daughter wants to come in and talk to me, there’s nothing more important.

Hope: Well, I actually didn’t, uh, just come for pep talk or delicious food. I– I do have some news.

Deacon: Give.

Hope: My big press event.

Deacon: Uh-huh.

Hope: It’s happening in rome.

Deacon: Oh, you’ve gotta be kidding me. That is so fantastic.

Hope: I know.

Deacon: It’s fantastic. You know how much I love italy.

Hope: Absolutely. And– and it is just so exciting to me. The planning and the preparation. I mean, the whole office is buzzing.

Deacon: I would say that you’re buzzing.

Hope: Yeah. Well, you know, I’ve done business overseas in the past, but something about this time, it just feels different.

Deacon: Yeah. You’re launching a new collection. I mean, you gotta do it up big. I know you’re gonna kill it.

Hope: Thanks, dad.

Deacon: I just want you to know, I’m so proud of everything that you’re doing, all your accomplishments. More than anything, I’m just proud of who you are. Can’t believe you came from me.

Hope: Um, what was that you were saying a little bit ago about, uh, street smarts?

Deacon: Just wish that I’d been around to watch you grow up, you know, watch you grow into this incredible person.

Hope: Yeah. Hey, you’re here now.

Deacon: Damn straight. I’m not going anywhere. I know I messed up a lot in the past, but that part of my life is finished. The best thing that I have ever done with a little help from brooke is make a remarkable woman like you.

Ridge: That’s good. Just a couple of things you need to check on.

Charlie: Yeah. I’ll make sure we photograph all the locked items. And, you know, uh, by the by, I just want you to know I have this phrase book almost totally memorized. Just, you know, in case you need me at the last, uh, at the last, uh… momento.

Ridge: No, that’s– that’s great. If we have any frogs that need lipstick, we’ll give you a call.

Charlie: Oh, sure. Well, yeah. Yeah. Well, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, fosse, uh, uh, possibilimente, huh?

Ridge: Sure.

Charlie: Yeah.

Ridge: Okay.

Charlie: Are you okay? Well, uh, ciao, ciao.

Ridge: Ciao.

Charlie: Ciao [Indistinct].

Ridge: Okay. No, it’s good. I’ll look at the thing. All right. Almost there.

Eric: All right. Good. It’s good we have a moment alone together.

Ridge: What’s up?

Eric: Look… you know how much I love having family around. I love that you’re staying at the house.

Ridge: You’re throwing me out right now, aren’t you?

Eric: I am not throwing you out right now.

Ridge: You are politely asking me to get out.

Eric: No, there’s not a polite way to ask somebody to get out and that’s not what I’m doing. You can stay as long as you want. I’m just surprised that you feel you still need to and that the situation hasn’t resolved itself by now.

Ridge: Dad…

Eric: Look, you and brooke are capable of making your own decision by yourselves.

Ridge: She’s made her decision.

Eric: Yeah. And you know where I stand on that. You and brooke belong together. You always have and you always will.

Brooke: Oh, glad you’re both here. I need to confirm some details for the preview.

Eric: Uh-huh.

Brooke: If I’m not interrupting.

Eric: No, you’re not. In fact, it’s perfect timing. I have some things I have to do and I’m sure the two of you can sort things out on your own. You’re perfectly capable.

[ Ridge laughing ]

Brooke: Uh, okay. What is that supposed to mean?

Ridge: Oh, I don’t know. I’m not sure. It’s dad. He, um, you know how he feels about us.

Deacon: Hey, forget something?

Taylor: Um, yeah. Ironically, I– I did. Um, I forgot that brooke logan is brooke logan. I brought in ensure max protein with 30g of protein.

Brooke: Eric’s always been very supportive, very encouraging.

Ridge: Mm-hmm. Yeah. But he did give me a bit of a kick in the pants today, which I wasn’t expecting. He, um, he doesn’t wanna be my landlord anymore.

Brooke: Well, that’s not true. He misses you when you’re not around.

Ridge: Maybe. But, uh, I think he’d rather have me live somewhere else.

Brooke: Oh, so he thinks that we should work things out.

Ridge: Mm-hmm. He’s not subtle about it.

Brooke: No.

Ridge: You know him. He’s got an opinion, it’ll just– it– it’ll come out. He’ll tell everybody. His kids, grandkids. He’s always been your champion.

Brooke: Yeah, he’s always had my back.

Ridge: And why wouldn’t he? Look at you. You’re so beautiful, talented, great mom.

Brooke: Okay. Keep going. I could use all the compliments I could get today.

Ridge: You’re kind, you’re caring. You– you’re great.

Brooke: I’m kidding.

Ridge: Okay. You’re fun at a party. Even more fun after the party.

Brooke: Oh, my god. Okay.

Ridge: I miss you.

Brooke: I miss you.

Deacon: Do I need to remind you that you and brooke are supposed to be friends now?

Taylor: Yes, I know. Do you think maybe you could remind brooke that we are?

Deacon: Okay. Maybe I was getting mixed signals here, but it seemed to me like you were trying to get me and brooke together so that you’d have a clear path to ridge.

Taylor: No. That– that is not what I was doing. No, that– that’s not what I was doing. I– I was just– I was trying to do what was best for everyone at that point. I– you know, deacon, you’ve loved brooke for a long time. You– you have a child together. Your feelings for her have never changed.

Deacon: Pretty sure she doesn’t have the same ones.

Taylor: Well, but I– I was just saying, hey, give it a chance. You never know. You gotta go for it. And how great would it be if hope had her family together?

Deacon: Taylor, come on. Knock it off. You didn’t come all the way down here to tell me that hope wants to see her parents reunited. What’s going on with you? Just talk to me.

Taylor: Something’s going on. I– I– I’m not trusting brooke. I’m not trusting our pact. I’m not trusting anything right now. We had some words.

Deacon: Okay. Look, if the– the gloves are coming off, maybe I wanna take cover.

Taylor: But deacon, I– I wasn’t, and I’m not trying to manipulate brooke or stab her in the back. I just really believe that– well, you are a catch, you know. You’re– you’re handsome and you’re successful and charming and–

Deacon: All right. I– I– I– stop, dr. Freud. You’re gonna overinflate my ego. It doesn’t need any help.

Taylor: No, I’m serious, deacon. I just wish you could see what I see.

Deacon: Well, you really are good at what you do, aren’t you? ‘Cause you have got a knack for making people feel good about themselves.

Taylor: Yes. Well, that is why I get paid the big bucks.

Deacon: And because you’re a world renowned psychiatrist.

Taylor: That’s right. And don’t you forget it.

Deacon: How could I?

Taylor: Deacon, after today, I… oh, I don’t know. I, um… I think you might be able to help.

Deacon: Okay.

Taylor: You might just be the key, deacon.

Deacon: Me?

Taylor: To ending this toxic, destructive cycle that’s been going on for so long. You need to call brooke. You need to do it, deacon. Do it now.
