Kayla saw Steve cleaning his gun. He told her he was going with Stephanie on her mystery meeting. Stephanie walked in and said he wasn’t going. She said she could take care of herself. She said she couldn’t go to a professional meeting with her father. Steve said he thought the client was Orpheus. She said he was being paranoid. He said he wasn’t taking chances. Kayla tried to stop them from arguing. Stephanie told him to back off and let her live his life. Paulina wanted John and Marlena to convince Abe to run for governor. John said Abe didn’t want to leave his friends to campaign all over the state. He said after the pain of losing Lexie, Abe finally found happiness with Paulina. He asked Paulina why she couldn’t enjoy it. He said she should let Abe make the decision on his own. She said she was, which was why she needed them to help. He said he wasn’t comfortable with that. Steve showed up. Steve and John went to talk. Steve told John his suspicions about Orpheus. Paulina told Marlena that Abe seemed lost. She said Abe needed something to work toward. Marlena said Paulina and Abe needed to talk to see what they both wanted and make the decision together. When Paulina left, John told Marlena that Steve invited them over for dinner.

Rolf was shocked to see that Stefan was awake. Rolf said it was too soon. He tried to keep Stefan in the bed. Stefan took off the helmet and said that Stefan DiMera. He told Rolf that he didn’t tell him what to do. He said it was the other way around. He wanted to know what he was doing in the lab. Rolf said he was shot. Stefan said he didn’t remember anything. Rolf said Stefan jumped in front of a bullet that was meant for Vivian. Stefan said he remembered a gunshot and was starting to remember. Rolf said he was there for four years. Stefan thought he was in a coma. Rolf said he was dead and his heart was donated to someone else. Stefan felt for his heart. Rolf said he had a new heart. Rolf said he kept Stefan alive after his wife donated his heart. Stefan called out Gabi’s name. Rolf said Gabi didn’t know he was alive. Stefan wanted Rolf’s keys so he could go see Gabi. Rolf said he couldn’t drive. Stefan told him to give him the keys. Rolf gave him the keys. He sent a text to Li. EJ accused Ava of trying to seduce Johnny. She said Johnny was comforting her. He said she was pathetic for trying to seduce someone young enough to be her son. She slapped him. She said he saw two people being nice to each other. She said he didn’t care when his brother died. EJ said he didn’t care about Jake or Stefan.

Brady brought Rachel to Marlena’s office. He told her that he was going to give Kristen a chance to see Rachel. He told her about his concerns about Kristen seeing Rachel. He said if he didn’t give Kristen the chance to see Rachel, she could sue for custody. He said he couldn’t let that happen. Kristen and Chloe got into an argument at work. While they were arguing, Kristen threatened to stab Chloe with a letter opener. She stopped herself when Brady called her to invite her to Marlena’s office. Brady asked Marlena if she thought Rachel could use a therapist. Kristen walked in and said she didn’t need one. Rachel was happy to see Kristen. Kristen told her about the locket she kept with all of their pictures in it. Marlena took Rachel to the cafeteria. Brady yelled at Kristen for giving Rachel hope that they were going to be a family again. Kristen asked who said they wouldn’t be a family again. He said they were never getting back together. He said just because Rachel wanted her in her life didn’t mean he would do whatever Kristen wanted. He said Kristen could see Rachel when she was the mother Rachel deserved. He walked out of the office. Rolf yelled at Li for trying to kill Stefano’s son. Li said Rolf didn’t care about Stefan. Li said Stefan was just a science project to him. Rolf said he would face Kristen’s wrath. Li asked if Rolf could make Stefan forget his love for Gabi. Rolf said that wasn’t his expertise. Li said he had faith in him. He said if anyone could make Stefan fall for Chloe it was him. Li told him to go back to the lab so he could work on Stefan.

Johnny ran into Gabi. He apologized for the way he treated her. She told him they almost had sex. He was shocked when he told her that. He apologized for coming between her and Jake. She said he did her a favor. She said he exposed the cracks in their relationship and now she was with Li. Johnny wished her the best. Gabi went to her office. Chloe went to Gabi and told her that Kristen tried to kill her. Chloe said she couldn’t live like this. Gabi told her to quit. Chloe said she had to support her son. Chloe told her to talk to Kristen. Gabi said she couldn’t have Kristen turn against her. Chloe thought this was about Stefan. Chloe said she was happy with Stefan until Gabi swooped in. Gabi said being with Stefan wasn’t to hurt her. She said their marriage of convenience turned into real love. Chloe apologized to her. She said she was hurt when Gabi did it, but realized that she and Stefan were meant to be. Gabi said she would see what she could do with Kristen. EJ told Ava that he was going to tell Rafe about her conversation with Gwen. Ava handed him the phone. He thought she was bluffing. He told her to sign over Jake’s shares to him. She said Rafe wouldn’t believe what he had to say. She told him to tell Rafe. He said he didn’t have to tell Rafe. He said Leo was on the hook for Abby’s murder, but if Leo had an alibi, he was going to the police. Ava said she would give her shares to Kristen because they get along. He said Kristen would never betray family. She said she was family now. When Gabi went to the Salem Inn, she saw Li and Rolf together. She wanted to know what they had to talk about.

Steve was surprised to see Stephanie in Salem. She told him that someone wanted to use her PR firm. He told her the person was Orpheus. He thought he was doing that to get to him. He talked to her about having a way to eliminate him, but Kayla wouldn’t go for it. Stephanie also didn’t want him to do something that was going to get him injured or in trouble. He told her the person she was meeting was going to be Orpheus. She wanted her parents to stop worrying so much. She wanted to see Kayla before her meeting. Steve wanted to go with her to her meeting too. Kayla tended to Chad’s hand. He told her about Leo and Gwen. He couldn’t believe Jack defended Gwen. Kayla told him that Jack didn’t want to believe his daughter killed Abby. Kayla was worried about Chad. He insisted that he wasn’t going to commit suicide. He said he was homicidal. He wanted five minutes with Leo to make him pay for what he did to Abby. She said it wouldn’t end his pain. He didn’t want the pain to go away because it’s all he had. He said if it went away, he wouldn’t have anything. He told her that he couldn’t and wouldn’t let her go. She told him about wanting Lawrence Alamain to pay when she thought he killed Steve. She said she had to let go of her need for revenge because of her kids. Chad let her know it wasn’t the same thing because Steve came back to her. She wanted him to deal with his anger and let it go.

Sloan told Leo that she only took his case for the publicity and the profits for her book sales. She warned him not to make promises he couldn’t deliver. He said he could prove that he didn’t kill Abby. He didn’t want to hurt a friend, but he told her what she needed to know. He told her where she could go to find the evidence against the killer. Rafe arrived in the interrogation room. Sloan told him that Leo had evidence against Abby’s killer. Leo agreed to tell him everything he wanted to know for immunity. Rafe passed on his arrangement. Rafe told him that he had witnesses and fingerprints. Rafe wanted the proof and warned him that he would face Trask’s wrath. Leo agreed to help. Gwen went to see Ava at the DiMera mansion. They argue with each other until Gwen told her that Leo was arrested for Abby’s murder. EJ heard them talking and decided to eavesdrop on them. He heard Ava admit that she helped break Gwen out of prison the night Abby was murdered. EJ made his presence known. Gwen told him that her friend Leo was arrested for Abby’s murder. He hoped that the police threw the book at Leo. He thought anyone who was responsible for it should pay for it too. Gwen left so EJ implied that Ava helped Gwen kill Abby. Ava denied doing anything. He told her that he knew she helped Gwen escape from prison. He reminded her that he kept quiet about her helping Kristen get out of custody. He didn’t know if he could keep quiet about that.

Kayla thanked Steve for the flowers. He said he didn’t send them. The flowers were from Orpheus. Steve wanted Kayla to get away from the flowers. He searched them for a bomb. Steve didn’t find a bomb. He said it was still a threat. He said he was going to deliver his own message to Orpheus by killing him. She told him to put the gun down. She said Orpheus was playing mind games. She told him to ignore it. She said Orpheus wouldn’t want to go back to prison. Steve said he could watch Orpheus, but this was too far. He said he couldn’t take matters into his own hands no matter what Orpheus was planning. He said he would go to prison if he killed Orpheus. He promised not to kill Orpheus. Sonny talked to Alex about Abby’s death when Alex saw an article about Leo. Sonny blamed himself for Abby’s death because he got Chad and Abby to help break up Leo and Craig. Sonny tried to call Chad, but he got the voicemail. Alex wondered if Leo was that upset. Sonny said Leo drugged him. Alex said that was sexual assault. Alex wanted to know why he hadn’t said anything before. Sonny said he was embarrassed. Alex was ready to go after Leo. Sonny said he didn’t think Leo killed anyone.

Chad and Jada went to the DiMera mansion to look for proof that Leo killed Abby. Chad told Jada about the tunnels. She asked why they didn’t seal it off.They noticed Leo’s plate. They looked for the murder weapon. She asked how Leo knew about the tunnels. Chad said someone came to mind. Jack went to see Gwen. She told him Leo was arrested for killing Abby. Jack asked if Leo hinted at killing Abby. She didn’t answer him. She said Leo wasn’t capable of murder. Jack said he was angry and had a motive. She said Leo wouldn’t do that. Jack asked who would if he didn’t. She said she wished she had an answer for him. Chad showed up and told Gwen and Jack that he found evidence that Leo was hiding out in the secret room. He accused Gwen of telling Leo about the tunnels and helping him kill Abby. Jack defended Gwen, but Chad didn’t believe it. Chad said she had more than enough motive. She said the tunnels weren’t a secret. Chad said she may not have known about Leo’s plan, but she told him about the tunnels. She wanted him to listen to her, but he didn’t want to. He ended up threatening her. Leo flirted with Shawn while he was questioning him at the station. Shawn offered him a deal to walk if he confessed to murder. Leo said he didn’t kill anyone. Shawn said Clyde could prove he was there. Leo said he was framed. Shawn asked why Clyde would blame him, Leo said it was Nancy’s fault. He said the police didn’t have anything that would stick. Jada went back to the station and told Shawn that she cracked the case wide open. Jada and Shawn talked about the tunnels. He said his family were trapped there. Sloan walked in. She said the police didn’t have any evidence. She said a kid and an ex-convict weren’t credible witnesses. When they were about to leave, Jada came in and said she had proof that Leo was in the basement. She said the fork had his fingerprints on it. Shawn told Leo that they had enough evidence to arrest him. Leo said he didn’t kill Abby, but he knew who did. He said he could prove it.

Paulina tried to convince Roman to forgive Kate for what happened with Lucas. He told her that he knew what it was like to have a child go to prison. He said he could have pulled strings, but he let Eric pay for his crime. He let him pay for killing Daniel. Paulina advised him not to blow his relationship. He said that if Kate refused to stop coddling her kids, they wouldn’t have a relationship. Lucas told Kate that he decided to plead guilty for kidnapping. He wanted to regain Allie’s respect. He let her know that he was already sentenced. Lucas told Kate that he was going to Statesville for three years for second-degree kidnapping. He wanted her there to say goodbye. Kate let him know that she was proud of him. Lucas told her that he had to talk to Allie. Kate asked him to put in a good word for her. She let Lucas know that she loved him. Later, Kate went to the pub to talk to Roman. Abe and Paulina were still there, but she pretended to fumble with her pocketbook so she could listen to them. Kate told Roman that Lucas pled guilty and she was going to do the same thing. Roman wanted to know why she would do that. She said it was never too late to do the right thing.

Kristen went to Rolf’s lab and saw Li there. She wanted to know why he was there. He said he found out about the lab and wanted to investigate it. Stefan’s machine beeped so Kristen ran over to it. Li smirked at Kristen as she put the power back on his machine. She wanted to know why he was trying to kill her brother. He acted like he didn’t know what she was talking about. She realized he was the reason why Rolf didn’t rush to wake up Stefan. Li admitted that he funded Rolf’s project because he thought Stefan would give him leverage at DiMera. Kristen thought it was funny and told him that his plan backfired when he started dating Gabi. Li knew he would win Gabi’s heart. He needed more time. She told him that he was done because she was taking care of her brother. She took out her phone to call Rolf. Li stopped her from making that call. He thought Stefan’s revival could help both of them. He reminded her that Stefan was into Chloe once. He thought Rolf could make sure that Stefan had feelings for him again. Kristen said there was no guarantee that Chloe would fall for Stefan. Li wanted to take the plan one step at a time.

Alex met Chanel and Allie for a date. He wanted to know more about their relationship. After they told him their story, they made out with each other. He was intrigued. Li was on the phone with Rolf when Gabi walked in. Li got off the phone. She said she didn’t want to give Ava a job. Gabi said she could string Ava along until she got her shares. He believed she could outsmart Ava. They made love. When they were finished, He asked if she was okay with having a meaningful relationship. She said she was. He wanted her to take off Stefan’s ring. She said she wouldn’t take it off for Jake. She said Jake thought he was a replacement for Stefan. Li asked if he was. She said Jake wasn’t a replacement, but he wasn’t his brother. She said Stefan was gone and wasn’t a threat to them. She said she didn’t know if she would be able to love anyone the same way again. She said she hoped so. She said she would take the ring off when she was ready. She asked if it was okay if she wore the ring. He said it was. He said Stefan wasn’t a threat to them since he was dead. She wanted to go out for food, but he said he had to call his father. Alex was enjoying watching Allie and Chanel make out. They thought he should get a woman of his own. They wanted to know what type of woman he liked. He said he liked beautiful women. Gabi walked in the room. He said he liked women like Gabi.

EJ set up dinner for Ava and Gwen. Ava told him Gwen wasn’t coming. Johnny showed up and wanted to take Gwen’s place. EJ told Johnny that Ava was moving in. Johnny said EJ wanted Ava’s shares. Johnny told him that he and Ava were acquainted with each other. EJ wanted to know what was going on between them. They said they saw each other naked. EJ mentioned Johnny fighting for Chanel. Ava told him to give it a rest. EJ ended up making a toast to Jake. He said he wished he knew Jake better. When he kept making remarks about Jake, Johnny told him to stop. EJ left to check on their food. Johnny apologized for his father talking about Jake. She thanked him for having Jake’s back. While they were talking, Johnny took a call. EJ came back and apologized to Ava. Tony and Anna went to see Kristen. Anna reminded Kristen of the things Kristen has done wrong. Kristen wanted to know why they were there. Tony said he was there to talk her into coming home. Kristen said she would love to, but EJ said she couldn’t come home until she gave him her shares. Tony understood, but knew she couldn’t be happy there. She said she was comfortable. She said she felt closer to Jake. Anna looked at Kristen’s tablet and thought she was looking at Jake’s obituary. Anna noticed that she was looking at Stefan’s. Kristen said Jake’s death brought back memories of Stefan. Tony said he remembered Gabi begging Rolf to save Stefan, but he couldn’t. Tony told Kristen he would try to convince EJ to let her come back home.

Eric went to John and Marlena’s house and ran into Belle. He noticed that her bags were packed. She told him that she decided to go back home. She knew it would take time to fix things with Shawn. She thought moving back home was the first step. Eric told her about his date with Jada. He told her that Jada asked him out. Belle was happy that he was moving on with his life. Jada asked Shawn what happened with Belle. He told her that she was moving back home with him. She was happy for him. She knew what it was life to deal with marital trouble. He wanted to know what happened. She told him that she was divorced years ago. She felt like a failure at the time, but she moved on. She told him how she went on a date with Eric. He thought it was great, but she was worried about his ex-wife. Shawn thought everyone moved on and Nicole was married to Rafe. Clyde told Nancy, Chloe and Brady that he saw the guy who sold him Abby’s jewelry. Brady wanted to call the police, but Clyde stopped him. Nancy questioned him about that. He said he fenced the jewelry and it would be a violation of his parole. He said he could go back to prison. They wanted a description of the guy. He said he was weasel wearing a floral jacket. Chloe and Brady knew he was talking about Leo. They showed him a picture and he confirmed it was Leo. Nancy was happy that Leo was the one who sold him the jewelry.

Thomas told Chad that Leo was the tooth fairy he saw on the night his mother went to heaven. Chad chased after Leo and wanted answers. Leo tried to leave, but Chad stopped him. Chad dragged him to the police station. Later, they were in the interrogation room so Chad told Shawn that Leo killed Abby. Leo denied seeing Thomas in the tunnels. Chad lunged after him. Shawn pulled Chad off of Leo and told him to stay put. He wanted to talk to Thomas. Chad encouraged Thomas to answer Shawn and Jada’s questions. Thomas agreed, but he didn’t want to get the tooth fairy in trouble. They assured him that he didn’t do anything wrong. Chad wanted Leo to get arrested. Shawn told him they had to talk to Rafe first. Chad said he found Abby’s killer so Rafe needed to be there.

EJ wanted to know what secret Gwen and Ava were keeping. He wondered if it was about Abby. He reminded Gwen that she tried to ruin Chad and Abby’s marriage. Gwen said she was angry then. She said she was devastated for Chad. EJ wanted to know what their secret was. Ava said it was about Gwen wanting to be back with Xander. Gwen said that was true especially since Sarah was a suspect in Abby’s death. He said Sarah had an alibi. He said he didn’t think Sarah did it. He went to check on dinner. Gwen panicked over the lie. Ava said she knew how to handle him. Xander wanted to get information out of Ava about Gwen. Sarah said Ava wouldn’t tell him anything. Sarah wanted to go after Leo. Xander was upset that he believed in Gwen. Sarah said she knew he was hurt and trying to believe in love again. They talked about what happened. They made love.When they were finished, she told him her hallucinations were subsiding. She said they needed to get Ava to admit to what she did. Leo wanted Brady and Chloe to give him a job. They told him they weren’t interested. He left his look book behind. Chloe looked through the book and noticed that his designs weren’t that bad. Nancy showed up and invited them to dinner with her and Clyde. Chloe reluctantly agreed to it.

Clyde went to the Bistro and saw Leo. Clyde grabbed him and wanted to turn him in to the police. Leo threw his drink in Clyde’s face and ran away. Jennifer and Thomas were spending time together. When Chad showed up, Thomas ran away. Jennifer wanted to know what was going on. Chad said Thomas hated him because he lost his temper. She said Thomas was worried when he didn’t come home. She said Thomas was scared that he was going to lose Chad the way he lost Abby. Chad wanted to know how he would make this okay for Thomas. She said they had to go through this together. He said he was a mess right now. He said he was filled with rage. He said he was trying his best to keep it together. He said he was falling apart. He wanted to know what he was going to do without Abby. Jennifer brought Thomas in the living room. Chad apologized to him. Thomas said it was okay. Chad knew it wasn’t okay. He said it wasn’t Thomas’ fault. Chad said they were both mad and sad. They talked about happy times with Abby. Chad said he wanted to be good at coming up with great ideas the way Abby did. Thomas said he could make him feel better. Chad said he and Charlotte reminded him of their mother. He said he loved them. Chad and Thomas went to the square to get frozen yogurt. Thomas’ tooth fell out. He asked if the Tooth Fairy knew where they lived. Chad said she did. Thomas said the Tooth Fairy was a he. When he saw Leo, he said Leo was the Tooth Fairy.

Sonny tried to help Chad feel better by offering him a job. Alex walked in the room and told him the job was filled. Sonny introduced Chad to his brother. Alex told him that Victor hired him. Sonny was upset that Victor didn’t talk to him about it. Sonny was upset that Victor went behind his back and hired Alex. He used to look up to Alex and ended up resenting him for trying to take over the company. They talked about Alex a little longer and Sonny advised Chad to talk to someone. He wanted to talk to his son. Gwen went to Ava’s place and was surprised to see Kristen there. Kristen told her that Ava was at the DiMera mansion. She wanted some dirt so she could oust Ava from the company. Gwen refused to help her. Kristen reminded her what she did for her. She warned her that she would want something in return. Gwen was about to leave, but she told Kristen that the DiMera mansion wasn’t so great. After Gwen left, Kristen called Rolf and demanded that he wake up Stefan.

Gwen went to the DiMera mansion. She noticed Ava’s ring. She knew the ring used to be hers. She decided not to get mad and asked Ava not to tell anyone she helped her get out of prison the day Abby was killed. Ava wondered if it was because she killed her. Gwen said she didn’t kill her. She felt like they could benefit from her keeping quiet. Ava assured her that her secret was safe. Xander and Sarah went to Statesville. Xander was able to get the warden to get away from the desk. Sarah brought a USB drive so they could copy the files from the warden’s computer. The warden came back so they had to make up a lie to explain what they were doing. Sarah snatched the USB drive out of the computer. Later, Xander and Sarah went back to the hotel room. They noticed that Gwen was missing for a few hours the night Abby was murdered. They found out that Ava and Leo visited Sarah that day. Sarah also found out that Gwen made two calls. She knew she called Leo and Ava. They realized that Ava was the key to proving Gwen killed Abby.

Rafe told Gabi not to give up on love. She said it wasn’t fair that she didn’t get more time with Stefan. She said she was open to something new. She said she wasn’t sure how to read Li. Rafe admitted to being jealous of Nicole and Eric. Gabi said Eric and Nicole were each other’s first loves. She said they had a bond that couldn’t be broken. She said they couldn’t make it work. She said Nicole was lucky to have Rafe. Rolf told Li that his medical staff did a wonderful job. Rolf thanked him for funding the lab while he was in prison. Li asked what could be more important than saving Stefano’s son. Li said he wasn’t happy about Rolf using Jake’s heart. Li said he would defund his experiments if he kept getting things from Jake. LI asked if the transplant was a success. Rolf said Stefano should wake up in an hour. Li said that didn’t work since he was involved with Stefan’s widow. He said if Gabi found out Stefan was alive, she would go back to him. He said he wanted Stefan to have an unexpected setback. Rolf threatened to fight Li if he wanted to pull the plug on Stefan. Li said he wanted him to stall Stefano’s return so he could think. He said he didn’t care what Rolf told Kristen. Stefan had to stay on ice until he said otherwise. Rolf didn’t like lying to Kristen because she scared him. Li told him he should be afraid of him.

Kristen told Brady that she wanted to see Rachel. He agreed to let her see Rachel if she resigned from Basic Black and left him and Chloe alone. Kristen said she respected his move, but refused the deal. She said she would fight for shared custody since she was pardoned. Belle went to the police station. She told Shawn that she had to resolve issues surrounding Jake’s death. Shawn asked her how things were going between her and EJ. She said things were cordial, but awkward. She said EJ asked if she and Shawn were getting back together. She said she told EJ that she didn’t know. She told Shawn that she loved him and wanted to move back home. She said she would stay in Claire’s room. She said it would be a good start. He said he would like that. She said she never wanted him to lose Shawn Christian the way he did. When Kristen went back to see Rolf, he told her Stefan’s numbers weren’t right. He said they needed to wait to wake him up. Brady told Chloe that he wasn’t going to let Kristen come between them. Li went to Gabi and asked if she was ready to introduce him to her family. Gabi said she wanted to see where their relationship could go. He said he was happy to hear that.

Brady noticed that Belle was working too hard. She said that DiMera Enterprises was a mess since Jake was murdered. He wondered if she was working like that because of the baby drama. She admitted it was hard to watch him give up the baby. She could tell Shawn was heartbroken. Brady wanted to know if they were getting back together. She didn’t answer him. She picked up her things and left. Li noticed that Gabi was pacing. She told him that she was concerned about Ava living in the DiMera mansion. She was afraid that she would turn on her. Li believed that Ava wouldn’t be dumb enough to blow the plan. He advised her to have Ava spy on EJ for her. He wanted her to go to bed with him. Ava arrived at the mansion. EJ let her know that he needed her to vote Gabi out of the company at the next meeting. She appreciated him giving her a place to stay, but she couldn’t promise that she would do that vote. She said Jake was on Gabi’s side and she wanted to honor his wishes. She told him that Gabi offered her a job. He understood, but he wanted her to think about it. EJ took her to Abby’s old room. She wasn’t thrilled about staying in there. He said that another beautiful woman wouldn’t be killed in there. He walked out of the room. Gabi called Ava. She warned Ava that she would expose her fake marriage if she stabbed her in the back. Ava asked her about the job. Gabi couldn’t promise her a seat on the board, but she would ask Li about it. They argued for a bit before they hung up.

EJ met with Belle at the mansion. She told him that she couldn’t find a record of Jake’s will. Ava walked in the room and wondered what happens to Jake’s shares. Belle said the spouse gets everything so she handed her a document transferring his stock to her. Ava signed it and Belle gave her the stock certificates. Kristen went to Rolf’s lab and noticed that Jake’s body was gone. Rolf told her that he performed the surgery on him and put him in the morgue. He told her that Stefan was recuperating. Rolf said that Jake’s heart was in Stefan. He said they wouldn’t know how successful the surgery was until he woke up. She wanted him to wake him up. He didn’t want to risk any complications. Kristen wasn’t sure if she should trust him. Rolf said he was doing it in Stefano’s name. He assured her that he would wake her up in an hour. She told him that she had to take care of something.

Victor talked to Alex about wanting Sonny’s job. Victor said he knew Alex was the one who took the company from Sonny. He knew it wasn’t Gabi. Alex said he did it to help out Sonny. He said he knew Sonny was going to be taken by the proposal. He said he bought the company to flip it back to Titan at the terms Sonny should have been offered in the beginning. Victor agreed not to say anything because no one would trust him if he knew. Alex said he would be his fixer. He said he would work under Sonny and report back to him. He said it was the arrangement he wanted in the first place. Lucas went to see Allie. She wanted to know what he was doing there. He said he was out on bail because the police didn’t have enough evidence against him to hold him for Abby’s murder. Allie wanted to know about kidnapping her mother. She wanted him to leave, but Chanel convinced her to talk to him. He said he wasn’t there to ask Allie to forgive him. He said he was there to tell her he didn’t kill Abby. Allie said she believed him, but she would never forgive him for kidnapping her mother. She said her eyes were open to who he really was. He wanted to know how he could make it up to her. She said she wanted him to show her that it was possible he could change. Johnny met with Paulina to discuss a plan for him to get Chanel back. Paulina said Chanel picked Allie. He wanted to find a way to get Chanel back. Paulina agreed to do it, but she didn’t want to hurt Allie. Chanel showed up and yelled at them for what they were planning to do.

Paulina went after Chanel. Chanel told her she couldn’t believe Paulina was plotting behind her back. Paulina said she was worried that Chanel didn’t make the right decision. Chanel was upset that it was about her picking a girl. Paulina said it wasn’t because of that. Chanel thought she wanted her to be in a traditional relationship. Paulina denied it at first, but admitted to it. Chanel said she could have all the things Paulina wanted her to have with Allie. Chanel said she didn’t want to lose her. Paulina said she wouldn’t lose her. Paulina went back to Johnny and told him Chanel was happy with Allie. Xander and Sarah went to Gwen’s motel room and searched her room. He found the mask in her suitcase. They heard keys and hid. Gwen came in and picked up the mask. She said she had to get rid of it. She left to get rid of it. Xander and Sarah came out of hiding. When Gwen went to the alley, she said the mask had to disappear since Sarah had an alibi. She threw the mask in the dumpster and left.

Chad was drunk at the Brady Pub. Sarah tried to call him, but he refused to answer the phone. He wanted another drink. Eric told him that he was cutting him off. Chad refused to leave until he got the drink he wanted. Sarah left a message for Chad when Sonny walked in the room. She told him that she remembered that she didn’t kill Abby. He was happy for her and was sure that Rex would testify for her. He thought she could put the situation behind her. She didn’t think the police would believe her. Sonny got a call from Eric about Chad. Xander arrived at the police to tell Rafe and Jada about Rex being Sarah’s alibi. He demanded they cross Sarah’s name off the suspect list. Jada couldn’t do that and told him about the evidence they have so far. Xander refused to accept that so Rafe agreed to talk to Rex. Jada warned him that Sarah wasn’t off the hook. Xander thought they were idiots and walked out. Rex didn’t approve of Jada telling so much about the case.

Sonny arrived at the pub to get Chad. He watched Chad crawl over the bar to get a drink. Sonny tried to stop him so Chad tried to punch him. He missed and fell to the floor. Sonny dragged him to the Kiriakis mansion. Chad wanted to get a drink. Sonny told him that Sarah had an alibi for Abby’s death. Chad started laughing. He thought it was strange that Clyde and Sarah had alibis. He wondered if Abby killed herself. He said it didn’t matter if the police found the killer because it wouldn’t bring Abby back to him. He told Sonny that he drank because the yelled at Thomas for wanting his mother. He didn’t want to be around his kids because he didn’t want to cause them any more pain. He said he was supposed to make things better for the kids. Chad felt like he was causing his kids more pain. Xander went back to his room and saw Sarah. He told her about what happened at the station. They talked about Lucas seeing her at the mansion. Xander reminded her that she couldn’t be in two places at once. She said she was before. They thought she could have killed Abby wearing a mask of her face. Xander couldn’t believe he was about to marry someone like her. He wanted to prove their suspicion. He wanted to search her room.

Belle went to see Shawn. He told her Evan was Shawn Christian’s father. He wanted her to fight this so Evan couldn’t take the baby. She said she knew how much he loved the baby, but he didn’t have a legal claim to him. She said there was nothing she could do about it. Evan told Orpheus that he was Shawn Christian’s father. He said he was going to go to New Zealand to be with Zoe and David. He said he wasn’t going to fight his sister for custody of David, but he wanted to be with him. He wanted his kids to get to know each other. He said he got a job on a houseboat. He said he wasn’t in a rush. He asked Orpheus to come with him. Orpheus said he had unfinished business there. Evan left to get his son. Evan said he had a court order to get his son. He told him he was taking him to New Zealand. Belle asked Evan to give Shawn some time. Evan wanted his son right away. Shawn said goodbye to the baby and gave him to Evan. When Evan left, Belle tried to comfort her, but he brushed her off and said that was what she wanted all along. He apologized to her and talked about Jan. Evan went to the docks to sail off with Evan. Jan showed up. She said after she fell in the water, she pulled herself to shore and was hiding in the yacht. She asked him to hold the baby. He gave her the baby. She kicked him in the water. She told the baby they were going on a trip.

Gabi told her assistant to hurry up and file Jake and Ava’s marriage certificate. Li showed up. Gabi tried to cover up what she said. He said she was trying to make Jake and Ava’s marriage seem real. Gabi tried to deny it. He said he figured it out. He thought she was the mastermind. She said it was her idea. She told him what she did. He was impressed that she pulled it off. He wanted to know why she didn’t tell him. She said didn’t want to put him in a terrible position. Rolf showed Kristen that Stefan was in the lab. He told her that no one thought Stefan could be revived after he was shot, but there he realized nothing was impossible. He said he modified the serum, but it didn’t work until Gabi gave Stefan’s heart to Julie. He said he resurrected everything else, but Stefan was heartless. Kristen was relieved that Lani didn’t kill anyone. Kristen asked how Rolf kept Stefan alive while he was in prison. He said as long as the power didn’t go out, the machines didn’t need supervision. He said all they needed was a heart donor. He said Jake dying was the best possible scenario. She was impressed that he was able to revive Stefan. Rolf said they wouldn’t know unless they tried.

Xander was looking for Sarah, but Gwen showed up at the Inn. She was willing to provide an alibi for Sarah. He knew she didn’t want to help her. He told her that Lucas remembered seeing Sarah running down the stairs. He said that he couldn’t find anyone who could prove he’s lying. He asked her if she was happy. Gwen tried to touch him, but he flinched. He didn’t want her to touch him. He told her that he had Sarah to comfort him. She apologized and said that Sarah could plead temporary insanity. She told him that Bayview was better than prison. He wanted her to get out. He said that Sarah wouldn’t go anywhere if he could help it. He wanted to know how she got out of prison. She said that Kristen helped her get a pardon. Marlena put Sarah under hypnosis and she tried to piece together what happened when Abby was murdered. She remembered seeing Gwen at the prison. She said that she went back to Xander’s room, but he was in New York for his interview. She took a sleeping pill and went to sleep. She said that she had woke up from a bad dream. She said she went to see Abby. Marlena remembered Lucas mentioning her seeing Abby. Rex showed up at Marlena’s office while Sarah was there. He wanted to make sure she was okay after what Kristen did to her. He said he wanted to believe Kristen’s lies about her. He hoped there was a chance they could get back together. She had a memory of apologizing to him and telling him that she and Xander were in love. She slipped and he caught her. He put her back in the bed.

Marlena finished hypnotizing Sarah. She called Rex to confirm Sarah’s memory of him. He confirmed her memory. He said he waited until she fell asleep before he left. He said he stayed until after 10 O’clock. Sarah thanked him and she hung up. Marlena told her that she had an alibi for Abby’s murder. Kristen went to Rolf’s lab and pulled the curtain. Jake was hooked up to tubes. She said they had big plans for him. Kristen didn’t really know Jake, but he was her father’s son so he meant something to her. Rolf injected something in Jake’s IV. He noticed he didn’t respond to it. He thought Jake was left for dead for too long. Gabi went to see Ava to make sure that she could her claim to the estate from EJ before he realized he’s being scammed. Ava couldn’t believe how insensitive Gabi was being. Gabi produced a marriage license. Gabi needed her to sign it and leave the rest to her. Ava threw it back at her. Ava reminded her that she had money and she didn’t. She wanted to get more money than she was promised. Gabi agreed to help her out.

Gwen was upset when she saw an article online about Jake’s death. Leo reminded her that Jake cheated on her with Gabi. Gwen still remembered the good times she had with Jake. Leo suggested that she focus on getting Sarah away from Xander. Gwen thought she might have a chance since Sarah was considered a person of interest in Abby’s murder. Chad went to see Sarah at the Salem Inn. He asked if she was there the night Abby was killed. Sarah said she would tell him if she could, but she didn’t know. She told him about her hallucinations. He said Abby experienced the same thing. He asked if it was possible she had a hallucination the night Abby died. Sarah said she did. He asked if it was possible she thought Abby was Kristen and stabbed her to death. She said she didn’t remember being at the house, but she couldn’t rule it out. He said she usually remembered her hallucinations. She said her dosage was off and her brain was hazy. He thanked her for her honesty. He left. She said she needed to find out if she killed Abby. Leo and Gwen got into an argument over whether or not she killed Abby. Chad showed up while they were arguing. He wasn’t surprised to see them together. She said she knew Chad hated her, but she was sorry about Abby. Chad didn’t care. She said she would help with the kids. He said she would be the last person he would call. He told her to stay away from his kids. He walked away.

Chad went to the Horton House and saw Thomas. Thomas was upset with him for not being around. Thomas said he wanted to go home. He said he wanted his mother back. Chad said she was gone and there was nothing they could do about it. Chad apologized to him. Thomas ran away from him. Xander went to the interrogation room. He threatened Lucas if he didn’t tell the police He made up his memory of Sarah. Lucas said he only told the police what he remembered through hypnosis. Xander said the therapy was garbage. Lucas said Marlena was highly respected. He said he knew he saw Sarah there. He said he couldn’t prove it, but the police found the knife he used to cut lemons and it only had his blood on it. He said the knife that was used to kill Abby was a steak knife. Xander said that didn’t prove his innocence or Sarah’s guilt. Lucas said it proved that his story was starting to make sense. Xander left the police station and ran into Gwen and Leo. She told Xander not to give up on Sarah. Gwen said she thought Lucas was the killer. Xander said it looked like Lucas was innocent. Xander said the police were looking for a steak knife. Leo thought about the knife he used while he was in the tunnels. Steve told John that they had to deal with Orpheus before he hurt someone they loved. Steve said they had to get rid of the threat. John said it sounded as if he was talking about killing him. Steve said it sounded like that for a reason. John said they should find evidence that would put him away forever. Steve said something bad will happen if they didn’t take the shot. Orpheus was in Marlena’s office. He wanted her to listen to him. She agreed to do it. He told her that Evan was unstable. He asked her to be his psychiatrist. She didn’t want to. He said she worked with Ben and Jan. He reminded her that she was an important mother figure to Evan as a kid. She said he was holding her hostage. He said they formed a bond. She said Evan needed help, but it wouldn’t be with her. She said he was trying to play mind games. Sarah showed up and recognized Orpheus. She said he was the reason why her child was dead. She called him a monster. He asked her why she would say that considering what was being said about her. He said he hoped she found a way to live with herself. When he left, Sarah asked if Marlena could help her find out if she killed Abby.

Chanel said she and Allie were best friends and deserved a chance to explore their relationship. Chanel asked if he understood. He said he couldn’t. Chanel and Allie reminded him that he said he would accept her choice. He told Allie to be good to Chanel. He left them alone. Roman talked to Abe about Kate knowing what Lucas did to Sami. Abe was shocked, but told him not to give up on love. Kate told Paulina about being with Jake and how she fell back in love with Roman. Kate told her Roman dumped her. Pauilina said they seemed happy together. She wondered why Roman would break up with her. Kate said she knew what Lucas did to Sami. Paulina understood what she was saying. She told Kate not to give up. Paulina asked her if she would support Abe running for governor. Kate said she would. She asked if he was running. Paulina said she planted the seed. Kate said she planted one too. She left to see Roman. Kate went to the pub to see Roman. She wanted to talk. He said he didn’t have time and didn’t want to talk to her. He walked away from her. Abe told her not to give up. He said it was only a matter of time before Roman forgave her.

Gabi told Ava that EJ couldn’t do anything if she had Jake’s shares. Ava said they weren’t married. Gabi said he said they weren’t. Ava was emotional looking at Jake. Gabi covered his face. Gabi told her about her plan. Ava stopped her from talking and was furious with her for being insensitive. She said she wouldn’t help her go against EJ. She asked what would keep her from teaming up with EJ. Gabi said she knew they weren’t married, but she could still ruin any plan she had with EJ. Ava said she wanted to think about it. Gabi said she didn’t have time. She wanted to know what Ava was going to do. Kristen told EJ that she was moving back to the mansion. EJ thought they should work together to vote Gabi out and take back the company. Kristen said Gabi has been good to her. EJ said he had Chad and Kate’s shares. He said if he could add hers, they would be unstoppable. She wanted to know how she could trust him. He said he would be a fool to betray her since he needed the shares. she wasn’t convinced. They argued until Rolf showed up and told them that Jake was dead. EJ said he had to go to the hospital since he was the next of kin. Kristen said he just wanted Jake’s shares. EJ told her he wanted her gone since she rejected his offer. Rolf told her to get to the hospital. EJ went to the hospital. He told Kayla that as Jake’s next of kin, he wanted Jake buried in the DiMera mansion. Gabi showed up and asked wouldn’t Ava be the next of kin since she was Jake’s wife. Ava showed up and said she and Jake were married. Kayla gave her the forms to sign. EJ told Gabi he would get to the bottom of their marriage. Kristen and Rolf showed up at the hospital and took Jake’s body.

Chad didn’t understand how Sarah was brought in for questioning and still walking free. He wanted Rafe to arrest someone for Abby’s murder. EJ walked in the room and wanted to know if he was going to be arrested too or give him the shares of DiMera stock. He said Kate surrendered her shares. Chad was upset, but he told him that he would hand the shares over to him. EJ wanted him to move out too. Tony walked in and heard his brothers arguing. EJ filled Tony in on what’s happened. Tony didn’t think now was the time for retribution. He reminded EJ that Chad lost his wife. EJ said that he lost his wife too. Chad didn’t think that EJ could compare his loss to his. EJ said what happened to Abby was tragic, but it didn’t have anything to do with him. He told Chad that what happened to him had everything to do with him. EJ said the kids were always allowed there, but Chad would never leave them there. Chad walked away from him. Tony told EJ that Chad was hurting. He reminded him that Stefano wanted them to think of family first. Chad came back in the room and slammed the certificate on the table. EJ told him that he didn’t want him to go. Chad said it wasn’t his home anymore without Abby. He was going to have Harold pack his things.

Kate went to see Gabi at the office. She warned her that EJ was after her job. Gabi wasn’t worried about EJ. She tried to brush off Kate, but Rafe called. Gabi hung up the phone and told her that Jake was dead. Kate apologized for her loss. Gabi knew he was important to her too. They hugged each other. Kayla brought Ava to see Jake’s body. She sat with him and felt a hand touch her face. She turned around and saw Jake. She slapped him. He said he loved her and wouldn’t leave her. She started to cry and said she was alone again because he wouldn’t back down from the mugger. He didn’t want the mugger to ruin their moment. She said she could have replaced the right, but she couldn’t replace him. Gabi stormed into the hospital and wanted to know what Ava did to Jake. Ava showed Gabi the ring that someone tried to take. Gabi apologized and told her about the DiMera shares. Ava was shocked. Gabi said EJ was coming for her job so she had to focus on her job. She said that Ej wouldn’t get Jake’s shares if they went to his widow.

Steve showed Justin an article about Orpheus being free. Steve wondered if Justin planned on going after Orpheus for killing Adrienne. Orpheus showed up and wondered the same thing. He said he didn’t mean to hurt Adrienne. Justin said he ran her off the road and framed Maggie. He said Orpheus didn’t call for help. Orpheus said he was sorry for their loss. He said he had to move on with his life. He asked if he should expect retaliation from them. Justin said Orpheus’ life wasn’t worth taking him away from the people he loved. When Justin left, Steve asked how Orpheus got pardoned. Orpheus said he kept his nose clean. He said he needed a job. He said he knew he caused a lot of pain, but it was time to put it behind them. Orpheus wondered if Roman was hiring. He said he could be a cook instead of a criminal. Steve told him to start over somewhere new. Orpheus said he might go to Seattle. He said he could look at Steve’s kids. Steve told him to stay away from his children. Orpheus said he would stay in Salem if moving bothered him.Sonny wanted to know why Alex was in town. Alex said he came to see his family. Bonnie walked in the room. Alex said she was the woman who killed his mother. Bonnie was confused. Alex said she left his mother for dead after she had her heart attack. He grabbed Sonny/s tie and wondered why he shouldn’t do the same to her. Sonny got in front of her and defended her. Bonnie apologized for everything. Alex asked if he looked like the necktie killer. He said he knew his mother wasn’t innocent. He said she made his father happy. He said if Sonny could forgive her, he could too. Justin walked in and saw them together.

Alex told Justin why he was in town. Alex wanted Sonny to show him around town, but Sonny said he was busy. Sonny wanted to go to work with him. Alex was grateful to Sonny. He thought they would work well together. Jake tried to stand up to the gunman, but the gun went off. Jake was bleeding in his stomach. He fell in Ava’s arms. She felt for a pulse and screamed for help. The gunman was shocked, but pointed the gun at Ava. She took out her phone. The gunman told her it was nothing personal. He said he couldn’t have any witnesses. She tried to reason with him. He said he couldn’t let her talk to the police. Rafe and Jada showed up while the gunman was pointing his gun at Ava. Jada shot him when he wouldn’t lower the gun. Rafe said the gunman was dead. Ava said Jake had a weak pulse. Ava, Rafe and Jade went to the hospital with Jake. Kayla went with Jake to surgery. Rafe told Ava that he was there for her if she needed him. Rafe ran into Eric and Nicole at the hospital. Rafe told Nicole that the person who attacked her was dead. He said the attacker shot Jake. Eric left them alone. Jada told Ava that she was there to listen if she needed her. Ava said she thought she could hold on to someone she loved. She tried to toughen up. She said she couldn’t be weak. Jada told her she wasn’t weak. Kayla went to Ava and told her that Jake’s heart stopped on the way to surgery. Kayla said he didn’t make it.

She said they had to report to her. Her first decision was to fire Chloe. Brady told her that she didn’t have that power. Kristen wanted to have fun with her. She threatened to make Chloe’s life so miserable that she will want to quit. Chloe knew she was just trying to get Brady back. Chloe let Kristen know that she and Brady were together and there was nothing she could do about it. Chloe kissed Brady. Kristen wanted to give Chloe a write up for her behavior. She said they wouldn’t tolerate sexual harassment in the office. Kristen left to type up the write up. Chloe wondered if she should resign. Brady promised to fix the situation. Sonny went to Gabi’s office and accused her of stealing a business acquisition from him. She denied doing it and said she was dealing with Kristen all day. He asked her about Jake so she told him they were never right for each other. She said she was only in love with Stefan. Eric tries to stop the thug from attacking Nicole. Eric promised not to call the cops on him. He just wanted him to let Nicole go. The man put his gun down. He pushed Nicole towards Eric and left. Nicole thanked him for helping her. She didn’t know what she would have done without him. They hugged as Rafe appeared. Nicole told him what happened so he rushed to her side. He tried to call it in, but she couldn’t walk on her ankle. Eric wanted to take her to the hospital so he could catch the mugger.

Sarah told Maggie that she thought she killed Abby. Maggie assured her that she wasn’t the one who did it. She realized she should have married Xander while she had the chance. Maggie told her that no one accused her of a crime so she should focus on living her life and getting married. She demanded that Sarah find Xander and bring him back there. She said they would be married within an hour. Sarah was grateful to her mother. Gwen went to see Xander. She wondered if Sarah was hallucinating. He thought she had a lot of nerve. Gwen blamed herself and thought she was the reason Sarah snapped and killed Abby. She wished she could have helped Abby. Gwen started to cry so Xander reached in for a hug. Sarah walked in and saw them hugging. She wanted to know why Gwen was there. Gwen wanted to apologize for what she did to her. She asked if Sarah could forgive her. Sarah started hallucinating that Gwen had a gun so she pointed a knife at her. She said she would kill Gwen before she let her hurt Xander.

Kristen told Jake and Ava that she planned on collecting on her favor to Gabi. Jake wanted to know what she wanted with Gabi. Kristen said his girlfriend would be happy to see her and help her get back on her feet. Ava said Gabi was his ex-girlfriend. When Kristen left, Jake wondered if he should warn Gabi. Ava thought Gabi might already know. Ava told Jake that she was trying not to be jealous, but she was falling for him. She said she didn’t want to set herself up for disappointment if he was still in love with Gabi. She said she wouldn’t be a second choice again. He said he was a second choice for Gabi. He said they loved each other, but they weren’t the loves of each other’s lives. He said he was over Gabi. He told her he was falling for her. He said he counted down the minutes until he could see her. She said she felt like a teenage girl waiting for her ring. He said the way she looked at him made him feel as if he won the lottery. They kissed each other. Gabi heard Li tell someone he loved them on the phone. She wanted to know who he was talking to. He said his mother. She realized there was still things she needed to know about him. She said she was an open book. He asked her about Jake. She said Jake was with Ava. Li asked if that bothered her. She wanted to show him how it didn’t bother her.

Steve and Kayla were worried about Orpheus being out of prison. Jada showed up. Steve introduced Jada to Kayla. Kayla said Marcus was a great man. She said she was sorry to hear about his passing. Steve said he helped her get a job at Salem PD. Jada said she was working on Abby’s case. Jada said she needed to talk to Kayla about Sarah’s medical history. Kayla said she couldn’t hand over medical records. Jada said there were exceptions for law enforcement.Steve said they should talk. Gabi and LI went to the office and found Kristen there. Gabi was surprised to see her. Li said Kristen was pardoned. Kristen reminded Gabi that she helped put her in the CEO seat and had the power to vote her back out. Kristen said she was happy with Gabi in charge. Kristen said she wanted to cash in on the favor. Gabi wanted to know what she wanted.

Shawn apologized to Belle for having sex with Jan when he thought she was her. He also said he should have included her in his plans for the baby. She knew she didn’t make things easy for him. He thought he should have worked harder on a solution that would have helped all of them. She couldn’t blame him for everything because she did what she always did. She sought comfort in the arms of another man. He knew she wanted to hurt him, but he wanted to know if she fell in love with EJ. She said that she wasn’t in love with EJ. She cried because she hurt him. They apologized to each other. Shawn wondered where that left them. Evan found Orpheus and was excited about them leaving. Orpheus said that Kristen nearly tanked the deal. Rolf walked in the room. He was glad to be included in the plan. Rolf hugged Orpheus for getting him out of prison. He said that was Kristen’s idea.

Xander went to the police station and demanded that Rafe let Sarah out. Rafe wanted him to calm down. Xander said he was losing out of his happiness. Rafe said if Sarah was innocent, she could still help with the investigation. Rafe got a call about the pardons. Jada told Sarah that Lucas was able to place her at the crime scene. She asked Sarah about the drugs she was taking. Sarah admitted that she was hallucinating ever since Abby left the syringe in the tunnels. Jada wanted to know if she was upset with Abby. Sarah said she was angry at Kristen for injecting her in the first place. Jada wanted to know about the attacks during her hallucinations. Sarah said she never went to the DiMera mansion. Jada reminded her that Lucas saw her there and saw her drop something at the mansion. She thought it could have been the murder weapon. Sarah wanted to know why she would Abby. Jada said she could have been hallucinated and thought Abby was Kristen. Sarah wanted to leave.

Orpheus wanted Evan to stop pacing. He told him that he couldn’t let Shawn raise his son. He wanted to get out of there. Orpheus said they could get out that day since Jan gave him the password to the Salem PD. Orpheus told Evan to go on as if nothing happened. Orpheus pulled out a cellphone. Orpheus called the governor and let him know that he found out everything about him. The governor wanted to know what he wanted. Orpheus thought that was more like it. Chloe went to see Shawn so she could see the baby. She bought a gift for the baby. He told her that Belle didn’t want to forgive him. He told her how Belle slept with EJ. Chloe defended Belle to him. She told him that he should have been trying to save his marriage. He realized that baby was his. Chloe believed that Belle would have a change of heart once she holds the baby. He told her that she couldn’t be in the same room with him. Chloe believed they were meant to be together.

Evan entered the infirmary and saw Kristen. She told him that she didn’t know when she will see her daughter again. He understood because he had a son and knew he would see him soon. Kristen wanted to know if he was getting paroled. He said he was up for parole. She didn’t believe. She demanded to know how he was getting out of jail. He said he couldn’t tell her. She put him in a headlock and threatened to put his eye out if he didn’t tell her. He told her offscreen. The governor went to see Orpheus. He told the governor about his secret. The governor wanted to know if he wanted a transfer. Orpheus wanted to be out of prison. He couldn’t let him out of prison. Orpheus threatened to expose him. Everyone watched TV and saw that Kristen, Orpheus and Evan were given full pardons. Everyone’s mouths dropped at the news.

Jada wanted to take Sarah in for questioning about Abby’s murder. Maggie, Sarah and Xander wanted to stop her from doing it. Jada said there was an eyewitness that placed her at the scene of the crime. Xander told Jada that Sarah had no reason to be at the crime scene. Sarah admitted that she was at the scene of the crime. She admitted that Marlena suggested that she talk to Abby about what they went through. Jada asked her if she went to see Abby that night. Sarah remembered going there, but she didn’t get a chance to talk to her. Xander wanted Jada to leave so they could finish their ceremony. He said Sarah could answer her questions after the ceremony. Jada wanted to know if that what she wanted. Sarah apologized to Xander and said she couldn’t go through with the wedding at the time. She wanted to do what she could to help with the investigation. She insisted she didn’t have anything to hide. Xander assured Sarah that she didn’t hurt Abby. She wondered if she forgot what she did. She wondered if she thought Abby was Kristen and killed her by mistake.

Rafe let Chad know that he would be interviewing a new suspect. Chad wanted to know who it was, but Rafe explained that he couldn’t tell him. Chad wanted to know how he could stay calm through that. Sonny walked into the DiMera mansion to keep Chad company. Chad told Sonny he felt guilty for keeping quiet about Lucas kidnapping Sami. He said EJ wanted his shares now that he knows he set him up. He said if EJ was right and Lucas killed Abby, he could have prevented it from happening. Lucas thanked Marlena for helping him remember what happened the night Abby was murdered. He was sorry for what he did to Sami. He hoped Sarah could clear him of the murder charge. Rafe walked in the room and asked Lucas about seeing Sarah at the DiMera mansion. He said he saw Sarah drop something and put it in her pocket. He said he didn’t see what it was. Rafe wanted to know what happened afterwards. He said he wrapped his hand and realized he didn’t kill Abby.

Gwen got a new cellmate. It turned out to be Kristen. Gwen was shocked that she let herself get caught. Kristen said she was there by choice because of her daughter. They got into an argument. Kristen accused her of killing Abby for exposing her at her wedding. Gwen said she was in prison when it happened. Kristen brought up that Xander was keeping her daughter away from her. Gwen defended him. She was upset about Xander and Sarah living happily ever after. Kristen told her that it was only a matter of time before they broke up. She said Sarah still seemed off. She said Sarah and Xander may not be riding into the sunset after all. Nancy ran into Leo. Nancy rubbed it in that Clyde was cleared of killing Abby. She said his only crime was buying stolen jewelry. She said the person Clyde bought it from was the real killer. Leo said the police already had someone in custody for the crime. He let her see an article about Lucas. Nancy didn’t believe it. She said they were barking up the wrong tree. Marlena hypnotized Lucas. She questioned him about the night Abby was killed. He said he was drinking tequila. He said he banged on the DiMera door for Abby to answer it. He said when she didn’t answer the door, he went through the back doors and made himself a drink. He said when he was cutting a lemon, he sliced his hand. He said he heard something upstairs. He said he saw someone rush downstairs. When he was out of the trance, he was shocked.

Clyde was upset with Rafe for arresting him. A woman interrupted and threatened to expose what he did to EJ if he went after the Salem PD. Clyde wanted to know who she was. She said her name was Jada. When Clyde left, Rafe told her she was impressive. She asked if that meant she was hired. He said they had to have an interview first. He said Steve recommended her. She said he was good friends with her father Dr. Marcus Hunter. They talked about Abby’s case. Sarah went to see Maggie at the Kiriakis mansion. They talked about not believing that Lucas killed Abby. Sarah asked Maggie to marry her and Xander. Maggie said Xander was a broken man while Sarah was gone. Sarah said she was back now and they could start their lives together. Marlena met with Rafe and Jada. Marlena told them Lucas remembered something about the night she was killed. When Maggie was about to marry Sarah and Xander, Jada showed up to bring Sarah in for questioning.
