Ok, I admit, I threw in my lot with valentin. But that is standard quartermaine family politics. It’s a far cry from turning drew and carly into the sec. Drew is family. The q’s stay loyal to each other.

You talking about me behind my back?

You ratted me out to the sec after I come to you. I come to you trying to put this family back together. This is what you do? Ned, guess what? You want a war? You got one.

The ice pack is for a sinus infection, which is a lot more effective if you’re lying down and not going to work.

From the start, you know that spencer has been a problem. The whole reason that trina got involved with that esme prince mess was because he lied to her. And spencer keeps dragging trina into all these dangerous situations. And for some reason– some reason trina is always willing to forgive him.

You don’t have to break it down to me, portia. I do not trust that boy and his family one little bit. But I also know it is not the time to push trina on anything. I’m just thankful that she’s coming back to port charles and she’s safe.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, she’s safe now. But we both can’t ignore the fact that she would have never been on that boat in the first place if she wasn’t infatuated with spencer.

Yeah. I remembered your face and your voice and your laugh, and I knew that I had to get back to you. So before I could stop myself, I dove overboard. And I could see the explosion happening above me. And all I could feel were the shock waves going through the water. And I thought I was gonna drown. So I thought of you again and I swam to the top and I made my way to shore. Trina robinson, you saved my life.

I’m glad we came through this ordeal unscathed. But experience has taught me it’s the psychological scars that take the longest to heal.

Are you speaking for spencer and trina or for yourself?

Both, maybe.

Well, you have been dealing with the cassadines for a long time.

Yes, since I was trina’s age. My god, my feud with the cassadines, it’s gone on for what? 40 years. My goodness. It– it has affected me. It has changed me. You carrying around that kind of anger towards that family has been a weight on my soul. And now the haunted star and my last link to luke and the cassadines has exploded.

You’re right. It’s exploded, it’s gone and everything that was attached to it. Does that lift the weight?

Gladys is still gladys. But she has really stepped up for me, always acting with my best interests in mind. She’s been a real life saver.

There has to be a way. There has to be a way to keep trina away from spencer. Now you know it’s gonna be a mess, him trying to fight esme for her own child. And what’s he gonna do? He’s gonna pull trina right into that mess. And what if spencer tries to get trina to help him raise that child? And nicholas, what if nicholas comes back? All of a sudden, he comes back, wants to be a daddy again. What about then?

Portia, slow down. You’re just letting your mind take it all kind of worst case scenarios.

But all of them are possible though, aren’t they?

Ok, in the first place, if nicholas was to come back, he more than likely is going to get arrested for unlawful imprisonment. But you are forgetting the most important thing. We can’t tell trina what to do.

Ok, ok, so what you’re telling me is that you condone trina having a relationship and being in this messy lifestyle with spencer?

No, no, no. No, not even a little bit. All right, I don’t want my daughter anywhere near that boy or his lunatic family. But what are we supposed to do? If we forbid her to see him, that’s just gonna make it worse.

Trina needs to see how dangerous and destructive spencer is.

So you think she’s gonna listen to us? Or are you just gonna drive more distance between you and your daughter?

It was hard with trina after the wedding. Neither one of us knew what to say to each other, you know? But it’s gotten better since, slowly.

Well, after our time in greenland, it’s pretty obvious to me that she cares about you.

Curtis, no matter what portia did wrong, she still brought that fabulous human being into the world. Now I don’t want to compare nicholas with portia, but nicholas’ indiscretion is what gave me that wonderful little grandson. And if it turns out that you are in fact the biological father of trina–

Ok. Then maybe you can do what I’m doing, which is I balance out my feelings of anger and disappointment in nicholas with happiness that something really good came out of it.

Ok, so she kissed me and I didn’t exactly shrink in horror. But in some sense, I’m always gonna love holly, but as part of my past.

The more I get to know you, robert, the more I know not to expect some grand gesture or– or statement to prove how you feel about me. Although midday champagne, that’s very lovely. I will not build a relationship with a man who is preoccupied with someone else, hence my question. Have you really left holly behind?

I just find it hard to believe that ned would be so cold blooded, like, especially while I was away trying to rescue liesl to save willow’s life.

Olivia must have been out of the loop because she would have warned me. How could ned be so stupid? Does he want to ruin his relationship?

On the other hand, there is an upside to this whole mess.

Well, we’re busted. Our secret’s out. Which means that I don’t have to look over my shoulder to do what I’ve been wanting to do since the moment I got back.

I’ll say this, if that kiss is any indication, then there is definitely still a spark between robert and me. But you know robert, he can be a bit slow to act.

He needs time. Now that I’m back and free of encumbrances, there’s nothing to stand in our way.

Here’s what I know about me and holly. When I thought she’d been killed, it was like someone had kicked a hole in my stomach. The life went out of me. When I found her alive, ah, everything was so much lighter. Knowing that holly is alive and living her life is a whole lot different than wanting to live it with her.

Well, thank you. That was honest. It was also the long way around of saying that you’re still figuring things out. Robert, you take all the time you need. You got a lot of thinking to do. But don’t call me until you know what you want.

You asked to see me. I’m assuming it has something to do with a plea deal for the Randall case?

I recused myself from that. You’re going to have to deal with ADA Lansing-Davis on that one. No, no, no, I want to talk to you about something else, something a little more sensitive.

Going somewhere?

Uh, the office. Got a lot of damage control to do.

Hmm, sure you’re not going to meet with the SEC, you know, to follow up with them after you gave up Carly and Drew for insider trading?

I wish we could stay like this forever

maybe not forever, but for an afternoon.

[Chuckles]

Except I cannot turn my mind off. I keep wanting to hear from Trina again, or something about Drew and Liesl or something about Willow’s bone marrow transplant.

It might help to have something else to focus on.

Any suggestions?

I know Dr. Randolph has gone over all this with you, but I have to remind you that Willow now needs to undergo a strong round of chemo to destroy her diseased bone marrow so that it can be replaced by Dr. Obrecht’s healthy marrow.

I also know that during this process, my immune system will be completely compromised.

You’ll have to be in isolation.

So I was just talking to Nina.

Really? How’d that go?

Well, you know, Nina and I, we have, like, a not so great history.

Since when, she came to Port Charles?

Yeah, she was kind of obsessed with her first husband, but he was a big support for me when Danny was sick. Anyway, that’s ancient history. I just–I feel like I have to step carefully around Nina.

Hmm.

But Sonny loves her. So for his sake, I’m willing to make the effort.

We’re going to move you to an isolation room. Everything will be wiped clean daily, you’ll be given a low bacteria diet, and anyone who comes in contact with you will need to be gloved, gowned, and masked.

Is, um– is Willow allowed visitors?

There’ll be a protective barrier between Willow and the door. You can’t go past it. It’s very important that friends and family keep their distance. No physical contact to avoid the transmission of bacteria.

I remember all this from nursing school. I never thought it would apply to me.

I can scramble eggs or make a sandwich, sometimes bake some cookies. Other than that, that is the limit of my repertoire.

That’s why I wanted to learn how to cook, so I could actually enjoy what I was eating. So when I started following online tutorials and following recipes, I started to actually enjoy it, both the process and the result… and a few disasters.

I’m sure you never intended for it to go as far as, you know, Carly getting picked up at Michael and Willow’s wedding.

It was after the wedding, and I was just as shocked and upset as everyone else.

Michael was out of his mind with worry over Willow. By the way, he has no reason to trust you. And it kills me to say this, Ned, but you sold out Drew and Michael to Valentin Cassadine. What would stop you from selling out Carly and Drew to the SEC?

This is outrageous. How can government flunkies show up at the hospital and drag Drew off? For what, insider trading? Why were they not investigating Victor using those resources instead of letting him to come within a hair’s breadth of taking out half the world? This world has gone crazy. They are. Shouldn’t be in there long. The guy they’re questioning is represented by Diane Miller.

Yeah, Diane will have him out of there in 10, 15 minutes. I don’t think they’re going to get anything out of him.

Should you choose to move forward with this matter, you will have to calendar an interview and submit all of your questions to me in writing.

We already have enough to issue a subpoena.

[Chuckles] By which I gather you do not presently have a subpoena for my client in this matter.

We don’t know. It was an anonymous tip.

I was on the first flight back with Drew and Obrecht. And the WSB are organizing additional flights to get the rest home.

But–I– I don’t care about the travel arrangements. I want to hear about Victor and how you stopped him.

He was running away with Obrecht as his hostage, but I was waiting there.

And you shot him.

No, I couldn’t because he was using Obrecht as a shield. However, I distracted him with the unwelcome news that he could no longer father children. You may ask how I know that, but last time I was here, I arranged for him to drink a special cocktail as punishment for kidnapping me and Ethan and forcing me to frame Anna.

Payback really is a bitch.

It was obviously a sensitive subject because Victor lost it. He tried to take a shot at me. And that gave Drew an opportunity to jump him and take him down. But during the struggle, Obrecht fell. But whilst Drew and I were focused on her, Victor ran away.

She all right?

She bumped her head. But when she came around, she was able to tell me how to save Valentin and Anna.

Save Anna?

Michael confirmed that Dr. Obrecht is back. Willow is being prepped for her bone marrow transplant.

So why do you look like you just lost your best friend?

Well, the chemo that Willow is on is really strong. Next few days are going to be tough.

But once the treatment’s over, she will be in remission, yeah?

Fingers crossed. But I’m thinking what Brook Lynn is thinking. Willow is very weak. She might not recover.

I am banning all dark thoughts from this house. The right attitude can make all the difference. Willow has so much to live for. She is going to beat this.

She has held on longer than anyone would have predicted. She can make it through.

Thank god Drew was able to find Liesl Obrecht and rescue her from Victor Cassadine and bring her back home.

Yeah, would have been a real bummer had the SEC picked up Drew before he left for Greenland.

Valentin was infected with the pathogen. Anna took a huge risk going to him and staying with him. Obviously, she could have been infected too.

Luckily, Obrecht was able to hide the antidote nearby, and I managed to find it and get it to Anna and Valentin.

Well, thank god for you, but what was she thinking?

Well, obviously, she loves Valentin very much, enough to put her life on the line.

Tell me something I don’t know.

Only that she’s so reckless with her life.

It doesn’t bother you? You’re not jealous?

I wish her well. And Valentin, he’s her mistake to make.

The Spencers, the Corinthos. I might not like Sonny that much right now, but there’s this big blended sibling group and then various assorted nieces, nephews, and cousins.

No, Wiley’s a lot on his own, and then we had Amelia. We had to get Amelia into the car seat, and then the car seat into the car, and then getting her back out again.

If you can stitch up a bullet wound in the middle of your brother’s living room, I’m pretty sure you can handle two kids in a car seat.

Did I put you on the spot? Did you not want to come?

No, I loved it. Getting to meet Wiley. Getting to hold Amelia while you wrestled that car seat.

I told you, it’s complicated.

I just wonder if you brought me along for help or if you were trying to make a statement.

Carly is convinced that Ned is the one that turned her and Drew in.

[Sighs] Ned reports Drew to the SEC with Carly as collateral damage? That sounds extreme.

Bu t who even knew that Carly and Drew were together? And of all the people who knew… who stands to gain the most from exposing them?

Heroism is one thing. Business is quite another. And since Drew was foolish enough to confide the merger plans in Carly, and Carly was greedy enough to try to cash in, they brought the SEC on themselves.

No, they did not. Ned brought the SEC on them when he turned them in.

For the thousandth time, I did not turn them in!

It was a smart business tactic.

It was a gross betrayal.

I didn’t do it!

You double crossed Michael and Drew with Valentin when you tanked the merger with Aurora by becoming chairman of the board of ELQ. Why do you expect us to believe you now?

Ok, I admit, I threw in my lot with Valentin, but that is standard Quartermaine family politics. It’s a far cry from turning Drew and Carly into the SEC. Drew is family. The A’s stay loyal to each other.

You talking about me behind my back?

Drew, I heard you brought back Dr. Obrecht from–

[Groans]

Ok, you got me. I wanted Michael to see us together out in the open. It was bonus that my mom was there. She’s known for months about us, but I think she was hoping I’d change my mind.

And as such, I cannot disclose it to a third party. – Diane, since when am I a third party? – Since your divorce. You are no longer entitled to or protected by spousal privilege.

[Dramatic music] – Hey. – Hey. You wanted to see me? – Yeah. I know I’m putting you on the spot. But do you have any information or any details about the sec’s case against me? – Carly, I don’t– – oh, wait. I already know everything about your dad, so there’s no reason to waste your time. – What about my dad? – Look, the feds were prepared to hold me for 24 hours. The only reason I was allowed to go home was because of sonny.

Until, of course, the sec showed up and ruined it. – So spencer? – [Sighs] Trina called me from a wsb satellite phone. – From greenland? – Mm-hmm. – How was that connection? – About as good as you would imagine. We only talked for a minute, but she said everyone’s safe. But the haunted star exploded and they can’t find spencer. – Was he on board at the time of the explosion? – It’s unclear. They’re still searching for him. I could just hear it in her voice. I mean, she’s so terrified that he’s dead. – When a buddy’s missing, we don’t say out loud if we think they’re gone. It’s like a–a superstition. – Why? Because then it’ll make it true? But what if it is?

[Tense music] – I’m sorry, trina. There’s no sign of spencer. – I’ll be back. – Sit down. Let me tell you everything I know.

– How are you feeling? – I’m feeling better. Thank you. Say what you will about liesl, but she was able to outmaneuver my father and get me the cure. She saved my life. – Thank goodness. That’s–that’s amazing. Um, is there any update on the haunted star? – Wsb is searching the wreckage and all the nearby shoreline. Anna devane is in london meeting with the director, and senior officials, and a number of disgruntled diplomats who want to know of victor cassadine’s affiliation with the bureau. Curtis is being debriefed. And as soon as that’s finished, there’s a plane waiting to take us all home. – What? No! No, I’m not leaving without spencer! He’s still out there. I can feel it! – We’ve recovered a body from the wreckage.

Uh, look. Things have been strained between you and my father since even before your divorce, right? – Things have been strained since sonny came back from nixon falls. – Right. Ok. Let’s not re-litigate who did what to who and why. But bottom line is, you expected him, what, to step back and let you handle your own problems? – Something like that. Look, sonny doing what he did last night, you know, that just kind of showed me that sonny may be different in many respects. But at his core, he’s still the man he’s always been. – I–I heard carly had some trouble after the wedding. – Well, whoever decided to tip off the sec has the most heartless timing. – No, martin. I haven’t changed my mind. Just the opposite. I want you to go all out and expose drew and carly for engaging in insider trading.

Just make sure to keep my name out of it – at least the ceremony was over, and michael and willow were officially husband and wife by the time the feds showed up. – Was willow really upset? – Um, I mean, how could she not be? – Your most recent divorce, while legally straightforward, was… [Chuckles] Acrimonious, to put it mildly. – I’ll give you that. – When carly severed ties, she meant it. She waived her right to millions of dollars in shared assets. All she wanted, all she would accept, was her home and joint custody of donna. – You just answered your own question. – How so? – Carly and I share donna. She is donna’s mother. You think I’m gonna allow donna’s mother to go to prison? – So all this is being done for donna? – Yeah. – Well, then, I got to hand it to you. I’m very impressed, you know, considering the temptation. Because don’t tell me you haven’t thought about it. Come on, sonny. If carly goes to prison, you now have sole custody of donna. Not only that, but you can share her with nina.

[Dramatic music]

[Monitor beeping] – Is there an eta on drew and liesl? – Um, they are still en route, but they will be here at some point today. Actually, in the meantime, though, how about we look at some potential accommodations in paris? So what do you think, how about a five-star hotel, where all of our needs are taken care of? Or we can do the whole authentic parisian route and rent an apartment. I love nina. – That much is apparent. – And you know I’m thrilled that the– nina and my girls have a relationship. But for me to be thinking about that we’re gonna raise donna, that’s a nonstarter. – Because carly is not going to prison? – Well, that’s why you’re here, so we can strategize and figure out how we can ensure that. Are you done poking around in my personal life? – [Laughs] Ok. I can talk about carly’s case in the hypothetical. How’s that? – I’ll take it. – Ok. Hypothetically speaking, the sec is putting together a strong case against carly. – How strong? – It is my belief that the sec can prove insider trading. And all of that is to say that if the case goes to trial, carly will lose. – Well, the case can’t go to trial. Can it? – I really hate that my family’s divided. But I won’t pretend to be ok with sonny’s choices. I mean… – I–I–I get that. – Yeah. I mean, specifically the way he sided with nina, going after michael and willow– I know, I know. You don’t want to get into it, right? We don’t want to talk about that. – Look, everything went downhill pretty much from the visitation hearing, right? – Right, and then I didn’t tell willow that nina was her mother. And sonny got all upset about that. – Well, that’s understandable. Regardless of how you feel about nina, sonny cares about her. And if she’s hurting, then he’s gonna be hurting, too. – She’s hurting. Yeah, ok. Well, sonny and i are pretty far apart. But when I realized he was the one that helped me last night… I wasn’t really surprised. – Willow was worried sick about carly, but not only for michael’s sake. But willow and carly forged a relationship. Carly’s become a friend, a mentor. – Carly’s become the mother that willow has never had. – Willow, I went through a lot of trouble. And somebody in particular took a lot of risk to get this footage. – I understand. – I mean, this isn’t doctored. This isn’t a setup. It’s–it’s–you know, it’s proof that my father was involved in an illegal arms deal, a violation of federal laws. Why shouldn’t he be brought to justice? – Because it will hurt a lot of people you love, specifically your little sisters. – Yeah, I– I thought about that. – Have you, really? What will avery and donna do if their father is in prison, especially if carly’s there, too? Avery will have ava, but donna will have no one. – That’s not gonna happen. – You don’t know that. – But I– I will move heaven and earth to ensure that my mom does not go down to insider trading charges. Donna will not be alone, ok? Not for anything. If sonny’s in prison, my sisters are gonna be a lot safer. – You truly think they’re in danger? – Everybody in sonny’s orbit is.

[Sighs] And, yes, I know that my father, he does everything in his power to protect his family. And more often than not, he’s successful. But even if donna and avery are physically safe, eventually, they’re gonna find out that their father– – who they love. – Is breaking the law, and he’s doing things that they have to pretend they don’t– they don’t see or hear. – They’ll become complicit in sonny’s way of life. – Just like it was with morgan and I. And I don’t want that for my sisters. – Ok. Those are all valid points. – Ok. I’m sensing a but here. – But if you turn sonny in, donna and avery don’t only lose their father. They lose you, too.

[Tense music]

– I’ve known spencer for such a long time. And for most of that time, we were fighting.

[Chuckles] – About what? – Everything. He was… an entitled, spoiled kid who liked things his way. – No wonder you clashed. You were two of a kind. Kidding. – Excuse me? – Kidding. I’m kidding. – I will admit, I was indulged as a kid and I liked things my way. And I still do. But at my worst, I was maybe a seven. – Ok. And spencer? – Off the charts. – [Chuckles] But you liked him. – Yeah, I couldn’t help it. When spencer wasn’t spencer, he was… fun. He kept things entertaining. – I could see that. – I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that that funny, infuriating kid I grew up with could be gone.

[Somber music]

– I knew it. I knew it. Ok. I knew spencer was still alive. Can I tell you something about your big brother? He can be a real pain in the a–

[Laughs] Butt. But he’s definitely worth it.

My only wish for this christmas is to wake up and have these last few days just be a bad dream. – The past few years for me. I would change everything, except coming back to port charles, because then I wouldn’t have met you. I’d ask if you’re stalking me, except I’m happy to see you. – Here for me? – Always. And the only thing that I know for sure is that I want you in my life. – I mean, I don’t know who I am anymore! – I know who you are. You’re the sweetest, smartest, and bravest person who I know. [Tense music] – [Exhales sharply] I’m standing here, wondering what I’m supposed to say to you. A word of regret? Some wish that things could have been different between us? Nah, I don’t think so. You always told me that you watched over me from afar while I was young. I’m grateful– grateful you stayed away. I was a full-grown man by the time I learned I was your son, and I’m grateful– grateful I wasn’t raised by you. Victor, I’m grateful for the family name, which, as of today, is no longer yours. It’s mine. And I’ll make sure that it’s one that future generations of cassadines can be proud of. But mostly, I’m grateful I never have to think of you again, and that this is the last time I say… goodbye, father.

– Tony and I have always come through for each other. – Even when you can’t stand each other. – It’s comforting to know that that hasn’t changed, that I can count on sonny if I need him. – It still boggles my mind. – Wait a minute. Wait, wait. Which part? – The whole thing! I mean, willow’s devotion to carly, even though carly withheld information that could have spared willow this entire ordeal– I mean, think about it. If carly would have told willow and I the truth, that we were mother and daughter, we could have started testing for donors when she was diagnosed with leukemia. And then my aunt liesl would have been identified as a match months ago. And, willow, she wouldn’t be on death’s door. – Ok. Listen, I understand that– that you see it that way, but willow doesn’T. I mean, in–in willow’s eyes, carly has been nothing but kind, and loving, and supportive. She accepts her just as she is. – And I haven’t? – From willow’s perspective, no. – I made mistakes. I made a lot of mistakes.

But I am still willow’s mother. – Sometimes knowing that, it makes things worse. – If you turn sonny in and he gets arrested, are you planning to hide your involvement? – No, no. I’m not a hypocrite. I’m gonna tell sonny and my family that I was responsible. Yeah. – That’s what I thought, and that’s exactly why you can’t do it. Because when sonny gets sent to prison, your siblings are going to blame you and hate you for it. All right, maybe not dante. He understands the complexity of the situation. But christina? – Yeah. Christina adores our dad. He can do no wrong, as far as she’s concerned. – And then avery and donna, all they’ll understand is that daddy’s gone and it’s your fault. At best, they’ll be conflicted and confused. And at worst, they’ll turn away from you. Michael, that can’t happen. Those little girls need you too much. Your whole family does. – At this point, no charges have been filed. No arrests have been made. Right? – Because the feds want to wait to move forward until they have had a chance to talk to drew. – Right, so there’s still an opportunity to make this go away. I’ll–I’ll–you know, I’ll put out some feelers and I’ll contact some and people and I’ll do whatever I’ve got to do. – You have contacts with the ability to suppress a federal case? – Well, it’s not a case yet. We’re still in the preliminary investigation stage. Right? – Ok. So you think that, you know, with just the right amount of pressure the feds will just say, forget it. We’ll make this go away. – It’s possible. – It’s not possible– – why? – Sonny, because it’s way too late for that! The feds were acting on a tip from a legitimate source. And now they have uncovered evidence to corroborate the allegations. You can’t walk that back. – You do if you discredit the source. – Well, of course, but we don’t know who the source is. – So let’s find out.

Look, whatever strings that sonny had to pull on my behalf, I don’t expect that from you. But if you have any information you can share, that would be great. – Well, I don’t have the sec’s notes or know what evidence they have, so I can’t say anything with certainty. – But if you had to guess? – Well, if I had to guess, they’re moving pretty fast. I’d say maybe they got a case. – Oh, man. All right, well, I guess I need to talk to diane and hope that she can beat this thing. – Well, you know, for the record, I– I hope she can, too. And if there’s anything I can do legally, I’d be happy to help. – Thanks. – When I found out that alexis was my mother, let’s just say it wasn’t welcomed news. – Oh, you and alexis, you didn’t get along? – No. No, not–not at all. In fact, I resented the implication that just because we were related, that I had to instantly love her. – Well, you love each other now. How did you get there? – Mm. Time. Shared experience. A lot of trial and error for alexis and me to form that mother-daughter bond. – Time might not be something that willow and i will ever have. – I bet you carly could help you with that. – We talked about this when I suggested you invite sonny to the wedding. – Yes, I remember. – And do you remember what you said? – Yeah, that donna and avery are more important than anything going on between me and my father. – Has that changed? – No. No, it hasn’t, just the opposite. I mean, can’t you see? I–I’m doing this for them, my sisters, to protect them. – And I can understand the argument that they’re better off without sonny, but you will never convince me that they’re better off without you. They count on you, michael. – Yeah. I–I’m not going anywhere. – Physically, maybe. But in order to lean on you, your sisters need to trust you. They need to know that you would never do anything to hurt them. – I wouldn’T. – And no matter how you look at it, sending their father away will hurt them. Not only that, it will draw a line in the sand that can never be erased by making donna and avery feel that by loving sonny, they’re betraying you. Don’t do that to them. Don’t make them choose between you and their father. – Sonny, you cannot compel the sec to reveal the source of their tip. – So this person screws over carly and drew and just gets off scott-free? – Ok. The bigger problem is the timeline and the corroborating evidence. Carly made a substantial purchase of aurora stock right before the proposed merger with elq. She drove the stock price up. And had the merger gone through, she would have made a fortune. – But it didn’t go through. – Doesn’t matter. Carly was in possession of privileged information, thanks to her personal relationship with drew. And that can be corroborated. And that is the textbook definition of insider trading. – I don’t see how it benefits the sec to take carly down. She lost a lot of money with the deal, and she’s not like a hedge fund manager or a corporate ceo. But drew is. – Thank you for listening. I know you don’t exactly have fond memories of spencer. – [Chuckles] We couldn’t stand each other. But I understand there’s a side of him that I didn’t get to see. – God, are we really talking about him in past tense? – Tell me about when he came back. – To port charles? – Yeah. – Oh, he was a real peach.

[Chuckles] No. He was… cynical and bitter, almost willfully shallow. He had put up this wall around him. Trina was able to break through it. – Brave girl. – Right? Trina saw another version of spencer. She gave him chance after chance. She believed in him, so much so that she followed him onto the haunted star. And now we’re here. She’s gonna be so devastated if he’s really gone. And I just can’t help thinking, why do I get to be the lucky one? – It’s time to go. – Where? – Mr. Ashford has been debriefed and is waiting on the plane. – We’ve been cleared to leave for port charles. – We can’t just take off without spencer! – [Sighs] Ms. Robinson, the odds that your friend– – we searched the wreckage. – Then search it again. – There are no survivors. There are just bodies waiting– – no. – To be identified. – No, you’re wrong. You’re wrong! Spencer’s alive. They have to keep looking for him! – Of course, the bureau will keep looking. – Good. I’m not asking you to forgive sonny or even make peace, but I grew up without a family, which makes me recognize how precious ours is. And I realize that might make me sound hypocritical, given my stance on nina– – no, the situations are completely different. – Nina and I have never had a relationship. Not a good one, anyway. Us being estranged doesn’t affect anyone. There’s no collateral damage. But with you and sonny, it affects everyone you love. And I truly believe that keeping our family whole is more important than bringing sonny to justice.

[Knocking on door] – I have good news. Drew cain and dr. Obrecht just landed and are on their way to gh. – Really? – Time to get you prepped for the first step of the transplant. – It’s time to save your life. – The feds are after drew. Carly’s the leverage. – Well, that would explain why they were so willing to release her last night, once they got a location on drew, who, let us not forget, is the ceo and major shareholder of aurora. You know, he’s the one who broke confidentiality. He’s the one who violated the sec rules when he told carly about the merger in the first place. – You think–you think they’re going to offer carly a– a deal to give up drew? – If they do, do you think she’ll take it? – One step at a time. First things first. Let’s wait to see if that deal is on the table. – Once again, sonny, I am representing carly, not you. – [Scoffs] Anything I do is in carly’s best interest. – I have to wonder. If the situation were reversed and you were the one facing federal charges, do you think carly would be doing all this for you? – No doubt. – Trina and I both took chances this year. Big ones. She collapsed, and we’re waiting to hear from dr. Randolph, but we talked to tj, and her condition is deteriorating.

Hopefully, drew can find your aunt liesl and bring her back here in time to have the bone marrow transplant. But until then, willow has to stay in the hospital.

Thank you for agreeing to stay at the hospital.

Well… the whole, “if you go home, you won’t make it back” argument was pretty persuasive.

Guess I pulled out all the stops.

You were right, too. You made me see I need a controlled environment for now so I can go home to you and our kids later. And michael… I’m fighting with everything I have to stay with our family.

[Dramatic music]

Jordan? Jordan, can you hear me?

Yes, I can hear you. Where are you?

On the haunted star with spencer and ace.

I had heard stories that the cassadines had a machine that could control the climate, but I thought it was just an urban legend.

No. No, it wasn’T. It was absolutely real. It was based on something called carbonic snow. You see, the weather machine was capable of creating an artificial blizzard in a targeted area, and in the summer of 1981, mikkos cassadine aimed that thing right at the city of port charles. A group of us–luke, robert, tiffany hill, and I– we all managed to stop him, and that weather machine was destroyed. But this is the same program.

Okay, well, the computer’s from the same era. If it’s the same program… is it hooked up to another weather machine?

Well, then, that explains this. Why would mikkos cassadine equip a bunker in literally the middle of nowhere without telling his brother? So he could retreat, if he needed to, with two weapons, two ways to hold the world hostage: The pathogen and the weather machine. Laura, this is real, and it’s running. We gotta stop it. I’ll find a way to kill the power.

No, no, wait, don’t do that. We can kill the power to this computer, but that doesn’t mean that we can kill the power to the weather machine.

It happens. Last time was, like, three years ago. Aiden did a report on it. But this is especially bizarre. It was in the 70s this afternoon.

– Right after we stopped mikkos, I… I found the formula in a stateroom, and I studied it as I was falling asleep. And then, when I woke up, I realized that no one should ever have access to that information, so we burned the paper, but… the formula is seared into my memory.

[Dramatic music] Robert was always afraid about that. He was afraid that if someone found out, that they might come after me for it.

Listen, that’s not the kind of information you should have rattling around in your head. It could be dangerous.

But this might be the very thing that saves… everyone.

It was exhaustion, right? I mean, first, it was all the excitement from the wedding, then the sec showing up. I mean, the whole day zapped willow of her energy. That’s why she passed out, right?

Willow was exhausted, for sure, especially for someone in her condition.

I’m afraid it’s more than that.

I’m sorry. I know that we put this on for a distraction.

But you can’t be distracted.

Between trina, and willow, and now my mom and drew–

What if drew and liesl don’t make it back?

One thing I learned in the military is that you have to hold out hope, even in the worst of circumstances. You never know when the tide is going to shift.

Tonight was michael and willow’s wedding. And for a little while, nothing else mattered– just the way they looked at each other and the promises they made. I mean, what if drew and liesl don’t make it back in time?

Drew kane is an ex-navy seal, remember? Those guys, more than anyone, know how to finish the job.

I believe it. Drew’s gonna get everybody home safe. But when he does, then he and my mom have the sec breathing down their necks.

Sonny is working on that.

And that’s great that sonny’s working on that. And he’s got the sec following a false trail, and that’s bought some more time– for now. But even if everything works out and everything goes according to plan, sonny is still gonna end up in prison. Unless you’re the one having second thoughts about that?

So far, I’ve come up empty. But it’s just a matter of time before whoever tipped off the sec about carly and drew is gonna be uncovered. And I got my contacts in dc. They’re, you know, trying to figure out what kind of case they have against drew. That’s if he comes back.

No, don’t say that. Drew has to come back. He has to bring everybody back. He has to bring aunt liesl back, or else willow–

you know I’m praying for that. You know that, right? But the sec is not gonna wait for carly.

we can treather symptoms as they develop, increasing her chances of surviving until drew gets back. But I will not lie to you. Willow will be in a great deal of pain due to her enlarged lymph nodes putting pressure on her organs.

Right, ok. This just keeps getting better and better. So either I bring my wife home to die comfortably, or she stays in the hospital suffering to survive or maybe– maybe not.

It’s a horrible choice, I know.

But one you have to make.

What makes you think I’m having second thoughts?

Because you see something in sonny that michael and I don’T. And I get it. I used to see it, too. It’s not as easy to turn him in as you thought, is it?

Michael hired me to do a job, and I intend to finish it. A job that if I hadn’t taken, it would have never brought me to you.

Dr. Ashford, why aren’t you at michael and willow’s wedding? I thought you and molly would be dancing the night away.

Yeah, that was the plan, but the reception never happened. Then I got paged to cover for another resident who called in sick.

I know. The last thing michael and willow need is… another crisis. Still, they handled it well.

Well, I’m sure it helped that they are actually legally married.

[Both chuckle]

You know, you can see how much it meant to both of them. They were so happy. You know, despite the treatments and the disease, I swear, willow looked radiant.

I believe that. Though I don’t know where she finds the strength, after everything she’s been through and just giving birth and having two small kids. But then again, I guess that’s reason enough to keep fighting, isn’t it? Kids have a funny way of… making you pull it all together, keep you in the present, especially when you’re with them.

[Dramatic music]

Willow’s been so brave. And her strength comes from her family.

Yeah, this time with them has–it’s– it’s meant everything to her.

Maybe it takes having kids realize that. I never would have imagined that I would take quality time with a toddler over a spa retreat any day of the week.

[Chuckles] I can actually see that with willow. When she’s with wiley and amelia, it’s like… nothing else matters. She’s their mom, not–

a woman with stage iv cancer.

 

[Tense music]

What is the point of testing the antidote mere moments into the infection? It’s hardly practical, is it? As a scientist, don’t you want to know how effective the antidote remains in the later stages?

Holding off administering the antidote is putting your son’s life in jeopardy. You claim this is for science, but something tells me it’s not the efficacy of the protocol you’re testing. More like valentin’s endurance for pain.

Maybe it’s both. Valentin is made of strong stuff. He knows he can end this at any moment.  All he has to do is talk!

 

[Both grunting]

Of course, in the negative column, nelle did try to murder michael. And then she used willow’s dead infant to make michael believe that wiley was dead.

[Dramatic music]

No, I’m just realizing that nelle didn’t even know that she used her dead nephew as a prop. And I point this out because you have a tendency to sentimentalize nelle. And I just think it’s fair to remind you that nelle was really a horrible person. Oh, but back to the wedding. It was beautiful. It was wonderful. I mean, michael and willow stood there, and they promised to love and honor each other as long as they both shall live. So now we pray, right? We pray that drew finds dr. Obrecht before the sec finds drew.

[Laughs] Attacking a wsb agent wasn’t wise. You just blew any shot of getting anyone to listen to you.

If the bureau believes just a portion of baldwin’s story about a biological agent, they’re gonna bomb that island into the stone age. Standard operating procedure. But what they don’t know is that I’ve already got a team in place, waiting to take victor out. I just– I need a bit more time.

Yeah. Well, it turns out that they were more interested in drew than they are in me. And when I couldn’t tell them where drew was, they threatened to hold me overnight. But fortunately, drew’s name turned up on a flight manifest from san diego to hawaii.

How did you manage that?

If sonny didn’t tell you, I don’t really want to get into it, ok? The problem is, when the sec realizes that drew’s not in hawaii, they’re gonna resume their search. And if they find drew before he finds liesl? Hopefully, drew has a big enough lead, but that’s all we can do right now is hope. But anyway, back to the wedding.

After putting everything on the line to save willow, drew’s gonna come home with the sec sifting through his business and possible jail time. I mean, he could lose his company, everything that he built, his whole life that he built since he managed to escape from victor. And it’s all because of me.

[Somber music] They’ve never stopped supporting me and loving me, and if the worst happens…

If the worst happens, I hate the thought of the family being divided between you and your father.

That would be the wedding. Everyone was so happy for michael and willow. Everyone made an effort, even tracy.

Who’s tracy?

[Laughs] Tracy quartermaine, michael’s, uh, great-aunt, so his grandpa’s sister, and she makes the wicked witch of the west seem low-key and agreeable.

[Both laugh]

That feels harsh.

Well, you can meet her, and then you can tell me if I’m wrong. But even she got in the spirit of things. I saw kristina. We don’t really talk anymore. She’s loyal to her dad. She doesn’t wanna admit that he’s done anything wrong. But after that little bit of tension, I mean, it was like a big extended family. It was the spencers, the corinthos, the quartermaines, various falconeris, mccalls, davises.

[Laughs] And we were able to just put the grudges aside and enjoy the night.

Well, what about the bride and groom? Were they able to relax and just enjoy their wedding?

Oh, michael and willow were blissful. And people overuse that word on ice cream and manicures, but tonight I saw true bliss. Michael and willow, they were in a room full of everybody who loves them, and they were looking at each other like they were the only two people on the planet. They were so grateful, so in love, so happy to have that moment. That was bliss.

[Sentimental music]

victor. He’s delusional, right? Tell me this is a fantasy with no chance of being realized.

Without question victor is delusional. However, the pathogen is all too real and effective.

Do you realize man is responsible for 80% of the crises in our world? And my pathogen just happens to have a mortality rate of, yes, 80%. Kind of perfect, don’t you think? Once man and nature are back in balance, then our beautiful planet can flourish once again. And I had hoped to have you by my side. But after your betrayal, I’ve had to reevaluate my priorities.

And who exactly is on your worth-being-saved list?

Well, once liesl has proved the effectiveness of the antidote, then nikolas’ infant son–ay, I really must get around to renaming him one of these days–and myself. Oh, and I promised liesl she could take some of the antidote home to her family, and my trusted employees, of course. I’m afraid everyone else’s fate will come down to a roll of the dice.

And what if the cure isn’t effective? What then? What’s the plan then? It’s not too late, victor. You can end this madness, and you can have something so much better than all this death. You can have your son back.

You won’t let me monitor a patient?

Well, well, she’s, uh, exhausted and tired, uh– you know, I figured that was probably more important than having her vitals checked again.

Actually it’s–it’s not. If anna is groggy or slow to rouse, then we need to make sure there’s not a medical reason for it.

Um, would it be, uh, possible to maybe come back later?

Yeah, it doesn’t work like that. And if you were genuinely concerned about her, you’d be pushing the call button instead of trying to stonewall me.

[Tense music] Why don’t you want me in that room?

Liesl.

My man, change of plans. Watkins wants you on patrol.

Why isn’t watkins tellin’ me? And who are you?

[Muffled grunting]

[Doorknob rattles]

So the wedding was perfect.

Because they were accusing my mom and drew of insider trading.

How is that even possible?

Well, my mom bought shares from aurora, drew’s company, right before they were supposed to merge with elq. But thanks to ned quartermaine, the merger never happened, and my mom lost a ton of money, and she had to sell her half of the hotel. Nina bought it. Anyway, um… I guess my mom was getting inside information from drew.

Did the sec question drew?

No. Drew is off trying to save willow, but when he comes back– if he comes back– he’s gonna be in serious trouble.

How did drew manage to evade the sec?

Sonny.

I loved that we had a family wedding, even if the family was all yours.

Well, haven’t you been paying attention? It’s your family now too, mrs. Corinthos.

[Sighs] Of everyone who was there tonight… how many love you?

I mean, besides ned and tracy?

[Laughs] Okay. Uh, everyone, including ned and tracy.

How many love sonny?

Most of them.

How much overlap? How many love you and sonny, both?

Aside from, again, ned and tracy… everyone.

The rift between you and sonny affects them all because even if you’re right, and you are right, and sonny’s wrong, and I’m pretty sure they all know that, including kristina, they still love you both. They don’t wanna choose. So for their sakes, can’t you find a way to coexist with your father?

[Melancholic music]

[Sighs] There’s, um, something you don’t know, something I can’t keep from you anymore.

Yes and no. I mean, drew is free to help willow without the sec getting in his way, but getting help from sonny, it complicates things.

Because I’m working with your brother to take sonny down.

I prefer to call it “bringing him to justice.” I mean, he chose to break the law. And he’s ruined lives doing that. He has to suffer the consequences.

[Sighs] But then he sticks up for us like he used to do, and it reminds me that he’s just full of contradictions.

[Somber music]

Sonny does have impeccable timing.

I got it tonight, the evidence that sonny’s moving shipments for pikeman.

Okay, well, what happens now?

That’s up to michael. I gave it to him, so I guess he’ll turn it over to the authorities?

And this will all be over?

This wasn’t staged. This wasn’t entrapment. Sonny is helping them smuggle arms and ordnance out of the country.

But why would he do that?

Money? I mean, they’re paying him a fortune.

But sonny’s wealthy already. How much money does he need?

I’m guessing it’s more than just money. Look, port charles is sonny’s territory. He decides what moves through it, and a deal with a major defense contractor like pikeman, it gives him power, it gives him leverage. They wanna move their merchandise out of the country. Sonny makes that happen. They don’t just owe him money. They–they owe him favors. Maybe they have a leverage of politicians, people who could be useful to sonny. Look, willow, this is my father’s business. This is what we don’t talk about. It’s what makes us targets. It’s what gets people killed.

Up until the nurses’ ball… all I could think about was how I messed things up with curtis and trina. And I wasn’t even sure if I’d be able to repair either relationship. But that seems like a lifetime ago.

It feels like it’s like one disaster has been put on hold for another one. But curtis… he was really there for me when I found out that trina was missing. And when trina called from the “haunted star,” she told me that she loved me.

And robert should be here any minute to help us game this out, because the wsb absolutely cannot find out that victor may be about to deploy a biological weapon on the world.

Well, it’s the safest way to approach victor’s island undetected.

And for bringing home trina, liesl, and your grandsons.

Okay, so robert’s busy and you’ll be in the “bureau” about stepping up the rescue.

Ah. A lot of red tape. You know, the island is in international waters, so there’s not really any government that can claim it.

No sovereignty to answer to. You’d think that would make it easy.

Well, I was hoping that on reflection, he’d decide that we were crazy to think that victor’s in the possession of a biological weapon, but no, he does think that is the likely scenario.

And he’s gonna have to convince them of that. They’ll need air-tight evidence to get them to take any action.

Simply put, work is the only thing that’s keeping me from completely losing my mind right now.

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to any files directly related to project demeter. But I’m hoping I got you all the next best thing. Back when I was doing psych evals for the bureau, I had access to the complete dossier of the original operation against the cassadines.

The crazy weather machine? That was-

I’m amazed they didn’t delete all those files, with victor in charge.

Well, I’m sure they did. Fortunately, the wsb is an institution of many fail safes and redundancies, so I just downloaded it off the server.

Oh, yes. Once they realize that I did it, they’re gonna come looking for me and I’m gonna have a lot of questions to answer.

Yes, exactly! Like finding trina, spencer, and ace, and nobody is sure how much longer willow can wait for liesl obrecht.

The tip that the sec got only concerns carly and drew. They’re operating under the assumption that michael was in the dark about any conversation as far as the merger. That true, michael?

There’s no way I’m leaving your side.

Cain making out like hormonal teenagers, and you still have no indication as to the actual substance of their conversation, business or otherwise, so you’re gonna have to do a hell of lot better than that.

Your client, who had no previous investments in aurora media, made a seven-figure stock purchase immediately prior to the proposed merger between aurora and elq. The timing alone presents a strong enough argument of collusion and insider trading. Although we are within our rights to hold ms. Spencer for 24 hours without charging her.

All right, well, can my client at least get some coffee if this is gonna turn into a staycation for her? Or is that an upcharge?

[Sighs and clears throat]

I would say less than an hour. I mean, the island is small. It’s less than one square mile. The best way to get there is just to cross over the landmass without getting caught.

It’s a good thing we dressed warmly, right?

You know what? Just so we’re all on the same page, we’re not here to take down victor cassadine? Okay? Whatever he has planned is between him and the bureau. We have to stick to our original plan of rescuing trina, spencer, obrecht, and the baby. This is no time for anyone’s personal vendetta. Are we clear?

We can neither confirm nor deny a rescue mission, half-baked or otherwise.

So valentin, curtis, laura, and drew all went off to rescue trina and the others and cause an international incident in the process? Would it help to know that where they’re going does not technically belong to a sovereign nation?

[Sighs] Just tell me how I can reach them.

He was supposed to be at the wedding walking willow down the aisle, but I guess his plans changed.

Well, do you think he got wind of the sec’s interest and bolted?

Doesn’t strike me as the type.

Fine. Well, then at least carly is not antagonizing two federal agents on behalf of someone who ran off and left her holding the bag.

The sec knows about me and drew. Did you say anything to anyone?

The only people that I know that know about this are brick and olivia. They would not say anything.

[Sighs]

Are they still holding you?

Yes. They think I know where drew is.

He went after victor to find liesl so we can bring her home to save willow, and if the authorities find him and get in his way?

You were with sonny when he was ambushed. What’s your take on the shooter?

He was a pro. He only missed the first shot because I saw movement out of the corner of my eye. But once he had me and sonny pinned, he was methodical, working to get the range.

So ex-military?

Almost certainly.

Mm. But a ghost. Fingerprints, dna, nothing showed up on the database.

Someone invested a whole lot of money to make this guy invisible.

Why send him after sonny?

That’s what sonny wants to know. Maybe pikeman can tell him.

Carly and drew are in a jam. I need a favor.

Listen, I know what it’s like, you know, trying to distract yourself so that your mind doesn’t go to bad places. Hell, I haven’t slept in a quite a while. I also know what it’s like not to be able to help your child. Not that this is the same thing.

No, I mean, you don’t have to justify your fear. You love liesl. And we’re both scared for our loved ones right now.

Yeah, it’s the helplessness that I can’t stand. Ever since, you know, trina and liesl were kidnapped, I have a sneaking suspicion that I’ve been kept in the dark by, you know, robert and anna and felicia and laura. You know, I think they know exactly when victor has his martinis. And this whole holly coming back to town, I think it’s all connected to luke spencer’s death.

Why do you say that?

Because… luke ended them in ’81 and they’re sore losers, so victor got rid of luke and now, luke’s family wants to get rid of victor. And you know who’s the collateral damage? Me and you.

Liesl. God forbid you cross the cassadines or the spencers!

What is–may I ask?

It’s the original dossier on the cassadines. From 1981. It’s got conversation between senior directors at the bureau, conversations that even robert wasn’t privy to back then.

Okay, so what we’re looking at here is psych profiles of the three cassadine brothers, mikkos, victor, and tony. Tony was just more interested in living his playboy lifestyle than pulling off any kind of grand schemes.

Mm, so no mastermind?

Right.

Unlike mikkos, who is a megalomaniac entirely fueled by greed and power.

So how is this different than victor?

Well, their actions might be similar. Their motivations were very different, ’cause victor’s always been an idealist. I mean, evil, certainly. And now where mikkos wanted to control the world, victor was always determined to fix it. Like he really believed that these weapons that they were developing would curtail the developing population that he believed was draining the resources of the world.

So is this what victor’s trying to do now?

Project demeter? Demeter, goddess of harvest who was so broken-hearted over her daughter, persephone. That’s what gave us the seasons.

In greek mythology, one prayed and worshipped demeter because she was responsible for the weather.

Is that the threat we’re dealing with? Could victor be trying to reverse the climate crisis? And if so, why would he need hostages?

I don’t know. It says here that weather-related tech is one of the brothers’ endeavors.

[Suspenseful music] Could project demeter be the bureau’s attempt to retrieve all those weapons from 40 years ago?

It’s an engineered virus. One that only a small portion of the population will be immune to.

How many wouldn’t be immune?

I’m also kind of energized.

[Sighs] All the adrenaline taking you back to a more adventurous time?

I guess I’m trying to remember a time before all of this madness began. You know? Before the cassadines infiltrated my life. And they tried to take it over the first time I crossed paths with victor. And his brother… I was trina’s age. And now trina is on the “haunted star.” That’s the ship that helena gave luke and me for a wedding gift. And then she cursed it and us. She liked her curses.

[Sighs] I’m not sure I much believe in curses.

I didn’t think that I did, either. But helena’s words have been looming over me for decades, and every time I think that I’ve gotten past it, comes right back to haunt me again.

Okay, so she’s dead. Haven’t you won?

[Laughing] Have I? Oh, my goodness. The cassadines keep finding ways to hurt me and my family. And now, it’s my grandson’s it’s got to stop.

Okay, then we stop it. If you say it’s a curse, fine, it’s a curse. Then we break it once and for all.

We can’t share our theory with the bureau. Not now.

I think we have more than just a theory, andre.

There’s a biological agent that could wipe out most of the world’s population. If not now, dr. Maddox, then when?

I think what you’re saying is that if the bureau finds out that there’s a large-scale bioweapon on the island that they will do everything in their power to neutralize the threat.

The world is full of beautiful things that end. And the truth is, none of us know when our time is up. And in my opinion, the biggest tragedy is throwing away what we have today worrying about what’s gonna happen tomorrow. You’re surrounded by your family and friends. You’re gonna marry the man you love.

Love with all my heart. It took me a while to know it, but… michael is the one.

Do you know how rare that is? How so many people go their entire lives and they never experience that? I mean, I know you appreciate every minute you spend with michael and your kids, but if today is the only day we get, shouldn’t we make it the best one?

Carly has yet to face a single consequence for what she did. Had she told willow about her birth mother, me, then willow wouldn’t be on death’s door right now. She could’ve gotten that bone marrow transplant months ago, and she’d be thriving instead of withering away.

Okay, I need to stop you right now because now you are skating dangerously close to alternative facts.

Okay, just tell me one untrue thing about what I just said.

[Sighs] Yes, it’s true that carly was wrong. And yes, she should have told you and willow the truth. But that’s not the reason willow is sick.

She delayed her treatment.

Nina, because of the baby, not because of carly.

thank you, friends and family, for joining us to celebrate the union of michael and willow. When they asked me to officiate the wedding, I was, um… I don’t know, I was kind of surprised, a, because I’ve never done this before, and b, that there’s probably a reason for that.

[Laughter] But when I sat down for a second and thought about it, it actually-

it made a lot of sense. I’ve known michael since he was just a kid. And we have been through a lot of life together. And watching him grow into the man he is today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. And, willow, we’ve had some shared experiences, which I will not get into tonight, but it has given me an insight into the kind of person she is. Strong. Resilient. Beautiful. And so, so brave. All of the traits that she and michael have in common will only serve them as they embark on their life together. I love you both so very much.

Michael and willow have made things easy on me today and have requested a traditional ceremony, so here we go. Michael, do you take-
