Chance sent Abby a package of little gifts, but it just made her miss him even more, and she thought they were a sign he wasn’t coming home any time soon. Nina offered a sympathetic ear. Abby and Lola talked about Faith. Nick found Adam in Kansas and asked him to donate a kidney to Faith. After some back and forth, Adam agreed to do it, but a tornado touched down, trapping them in the Montalvo cellar. Sharon told Faith that she might need a kidney and Adam was the only match. Sharon learned that the steroids Faith were on weren’t working. She unsuccessfully tried to get in touch with Nick. Mariah talked with Sharon about Faith. Abby made Mariah a snack to take to work because  she was still dealing with morning sickness. Devon told Jack that the rehab program they’d opened together to honor Neil was a success. Jack accepted the invitation to the event Devon and Lily were hosting for Neil. Devon ran into Elena, and he could tell her mind was on Faith. Lola and Elena discussed Faith and all that her family had been through.

Victoria was determined to take Newman Enterprises to new heights, now that she was no longer held back by fear of what Victor would think of her business decisions. She wanted Nikki to help her. Nikki changed the subject instead of agreeing or refusing to help. Billy brought Lily up to speed on Ashland’s heart attack and Victor and Victoria’s feud. Lily questioned Victoria’s motives for going to Billy’s room to deliver this news in person. They then set business aside and had a wonderful time on their date. Victoria showed up, and Billy told her how proud he was of her for letting Victor have it. Victoria issued a warning that Victor might go after ChancComm. Lily thought she and Billy were able to handle it. Victoria didn’t think Billy and Lily were a match for Victor. Lily and Billy went home and made love. Billy checked the news and learned Victor finalized the sale of Cyaxares. Victoria gave a quote to the news saying she wished Victor success, and she’d be focusing on Newman Enterprises. Chelsea fooled Nate into thinking she wasn’t fully recovered.

Faith told her parents how Moses stood up for her at school. They were pleased she had a friend from a family they knew well. Sharon confided in Nick that Rey moved out. Nick gave Sharon marriage advice. Moses told Faith about going to Alateen with his dad. That helped ease her fears about rehab. Faith talked to Nikki about rehab and received more encouragement. Chelsea was frustrated by how slowly her plan was playing out. She wanted to leave Genoa City and go to Connor. Rey went to Chelsea’s and overheard her talking. Chelsea pretended she was still partially paralyzed when she invited him in. She flatly refused when he asked her to bring Connor home and make it seem like he was sick in order to lure Adam out of hiding. Chelsea said a good man like Rey wouldn’t use a child as bait. Rey admitted he was being consumed by hatred of Adam, and that scared him. Chelsea commiserated about letting Adam become an obsession, but she told Rey that he was predisposed to do the right thing, unlike the rest of people. Rey seemed struck by what she said, and he looked suspicious.

Nate introduced Elena to Moses, and Elena told Moses how lucky he was to have Nate for a mentor. Chelsea pretended to regain the use of her voice, and she implied Sharon was helping Adam evade the police. Nick called Nate to help him get more details out of Chelsea. Nate said they must not pressure Chelsea to speak. Chelsea was pleased her plan to get the upper hand on Adam and Sharon worked, but Chloe looked troubled. Sharon unsuccessfully tried to convince Rey that Chelsea framed Adam. She told him where Adam was hiding out. Sharon thought about warning Adam, but she didn’t. By the time he got there, Adam was gone. Nick and Sharon hired Christine to advocate for Faith in court. Christine told Faith that everyone in the courtroom would be on her side. Nick told Sharon about Chelsea’s progress. Sharon told Nick that Chelsea framed Adam, but he didn’t believe that. He went to the lake house because he hoped to thank Adam while Rey arrested him. Adam was already gone, and Rey thought it was because Sharon warned him Rey was coming. Nikki spent time with Faith. Nate asked Elena to talk. Amanda approached Victor to ask about Richard Nealon and Sutton Ames. Victor didn’t remember anything about Richard Nealon or about bribes going from Newman Enterprises to Sutton’s office. Amanda wasn’t blaming Victor for anything. She told him about Bruce Stansfield, a reporter, who thought Richard was murdered. Victor said he’d been questioned by the reporter, and he didn’t know anything about this case. He told her they were done, but she was going to keep doing her job. Amanda talked to Devon about Victor. She was excited about this case. Devon hoped that he and Amanda could go back to how it used to be. She was noncommittal. Moses told Devon he had a girlfriend once, but it wasn’t serious, and the relationship didn’t end well because she didn’t get his sense of humor. He mentioned that Faith got all his jokes, and he’d hoped to go to the hospital to see her. Amanda was moved when she saw a picture of her father for the first time.

Rey told Sharon and Nick that Faith would probably have to go to court and would likely be fined, given community service and mandatory rehab for the accident. They were okay with that. Sharon feigned surprise when Rey told her that Adam was the Good Samaritan. Adam texted Sharon, and she lied to Rey and said it was Crimson Lights. Sharon wanted to go back to therapy after things calmed down, and Rey agreed. Nick told Victor and Faith that Adam was the Good Samaritan. Faith wasn’t sure how to feel and wondered if she should thank Adam. Nick said no, because he was a dangerous person who tried to kill Rey. Lauren asked Phyllis why she thought Sally was a threat. Phyllis wouldn’t provide any concrete information. Lauren believed something happened between Sally and Summer, so she set up a meeting with Sally. Summer unsuccessfully tried to talk Kyle out of meeting with Ashland. Summer confided her fears in Phyllis. Phyllis said to trust Jack to handle Ashland. Kyle dropped in on Ashland’s meeting with Jack, and Jack felt he had no option but to leave them together. Ashland asked Kyle if he remembered sleeping with Tara. Sutton Ames, Amanda’s grandfather dropped in on her. He denied making Naya give up her girls, but he was unrepentant about advising Naya to do so. After looking over the material from Sutton’s legal team, she didn’t believe he killed her father, but she did blame him for the lonely life she had, separated from her sister. He thought it would be persuasive to the jury to have her on his legal team. She said that if she took the case, he couldn’t tell anyone about their relationship. He agreed to this condition. He revealed that he’d kept tabs on her and Hilary for their whole lives because he wanted to make sure they were alright. He was proud of her and Hilary’s accomplishments. He wanted her to take his case. He said he could open a door to a new world for her, and she could take her rightful place as a member of a powerful family. Devon introduced Amanda to Moses, and she told him about her grandfather. She was thinking about taking the case. Sharon thanked Adam for saving Faith, and she let him know that everyone was aware that he was the Good Samaritan. She said she’d never forgive him if he poisoned Rey. He said he didn’t, and he was sure she knew that deep down.

Sharon wasn’t ready to conclude that Adam poisoned Rey, and this frustrated him. He told her to let him know if Adam made contact. Rey questioned Victor about Adam’s whereabouts and threatened to arrest Victor if he helped Adam escape. Victor warned Rey not to ever threaten him again. Nikki informed Sharon that Faith had gone missing after getting bullied by Jordan and that she’d stolen a bottle of tequila. Sharon was worried for Faith and furious that Nikki let her get her hands on alcohol. Sharon contacted Nick and Rey about Faith. Rey told Michael that Faith was missing after getting bullied. Michael and Lauren talked about Jamie, the boy their son bullied. Jamie was currently living a good life and practicing law. Michael and Lauren made plans to fit in a Hawaiian vacation at some point. Chelsea was delighted that her plan to frame Adam had worked. Chloe was initially happy that she’d helped by taking the items stolen from Sharon’s house and hiding them in Adam’s car for Rey to find. When Chloe learned that Chelsea poisoned Rey, she was angry about being an unwitting accessory to attempted murder. Chelsea felt that the ends justified the means, since she never gave Rey enough poison to kill him, but she apologized to Chloe. Chloe promised she’d keep Chelsea’s secret. Chelsea pretended to be incapacitated when Victor came over. He told her to pay Rey no mind, and he promised to bring Adam back to her. Bullies sent nasty texts to Faith’s phone, and she opened the tequila. Victor, Nick, Sharon, and Nikki gathered at the cottage because of Faith. Ranch security informed Victor that Faith stole one of the ranch trucks. Nick and Sharon used a phone tracking app to pinpoint Faith’s location, then they went to get her. They were alarmed because the app showed that Faith was speeding. Rey went home and found Victor and Nikki there. Faith took her eyes off the road to check her phone, and she lost control of the truck. Adam walked into Crimson Lights wearing a hoodie to hide his face, but he quickly left when he saw Michael.

Victoria regretted telling Billy she was in love with him. She assured him that she had no intention of coming between him and Lily. He wanted to discuss this further, but she didn’t want to, so he left. Lily confided in Traci that she thought Victoria was trying to insinuate herself into Billy’s life. Traci advised Lily to talk to Billy about her concerns. Billy told Lily everything, and he tried to assure her that he loved her and wasn’t interested in Victoria. Lily wanted Billy to do some soul searching and figure out how he really felt before they took their relationship any further. Adam continued to try and raise Chelsea’s spirits, unaware that she was plotting against him. Chelsea tricked her doctor into thinking she hadn’t made any progress. Nikki summoned Adam and told him she wasn’t happy he and Victor were working together. She wanted Adam to leave town, for good, once Chelsea recovered. Nikki tried to be a comfort to Victoria, who was bothered about blurting things out to Billy.

Rey passed out briefly, and when he came to, he asked for Lola’s soup, so Sharon went to get it. Sharon thanked Lola for being there for Faith. Lola had concerns about Sharon and Adam. Sharon assured Lola that she was committed to her marriage. Lola believed in Sharon and Rey. Adam pulled Sharon aside to assure her that he didn’t steal the gifts he’d given her. She didn’t want to talk to him, and he felt like everything he did annoyed her, even his attempts to be honest and sincere. She told him he messed up her life, even when he didn’t intend to, and she left. Chelsea texted Sharon, pretending to be Adam. Sharon was rattled when “Adam” said he wanted them to be free to be together. Rey took a turn for the worse, and Sharon was very worried. Chelsea was confused when Sharon didn’t respond to “Adam.” Adam promised Chelsea that they’d beat this. Chelsea thought to herself that this would all be over soon.

A figurine that Adam gave Sharon years ago went missing from the living room. Faith’s suspension had been lifted, and she was living at Sharon’s again. Faith told Sharon and Rey she hoped they worked things out. Sharon was reluctant to get couple’s therapy, and Rey thought it was because she was afraid the therapist would say she needed to cut Adam out of her life for good. Sharon called a therapist and made an appointment. Faith got a text from a mystery person praising her for handling the mean girls at school. Sharon apologized for acting out of fear when it came to Faith’s issues, and they agreed that they wanted to fix their relationship. Billy scheduled a meeting with Ashland Locke. Lily knew Victor would come after them if they were able to purchase the company, but she was ready for the fight. Jack agreed to finance ChanceComm’s bid to buy Cyaxares. Victoria also secured a meeting with Ashland. Nikki was unhappy to hear that Victoria and Victor were on opposing sides again. Victoria explained that she wanted to buy Cyaxares out from under Victor and Adam in order to protect Billy.

Adam agreed to team up with Victor and run Cyaxares. He assured Victor that he wasn’t planning to double cross him. They were committed to making the company a success and destroying Billy. Victor was concerned Adam would spend time with Sharon and ruin things with Chelsea. Adam was adamant that Sharon was out of his life. He didn’t want Chelsea to ever find out about the kiss. He was devoted to Chelsea and Connor. Nikki told Victor she didn’t approve of him pitting Adam and Victoria against each other. Victor said he didn’t care that she disapproved. He felt he’d given two of his kids an opportunity, and he wanted to see who’d come out on top. Chloe learned that Chelsea could talk. Chelsea swore Chloe to secrecy, because she wanted Adam to believe she was helpless. Speaking from experience, Chloe warned Chelsea not to let vengeance against Adam consume her. Chelsea wasn’t planning anything drastic, just a clean break from Adam. Adam told Chelsea about his upcoming job and said he was going to crush Billy. She said to herself that he’d never have the chance, because she was going to crush Adam first.

Ashley returned and visited Abby. Abby confided she was worried something would go wrong. Devon and Amanda spent the night together. She wanted to draft a donor contract that would protect him and the child. He wasn’t concerned about legal issues, and he said this wouldn’t be his child. She admitted that someone giving up their child was a trigger to her because of how she grew up, but she knew he wasn’t the type to do that. Abby gave Devon a framed picture of Katherine to thank him. He told Abby he wanted to make sure his contract protected her, Chance, and the baby. Amanda was moved by Devon’s protectiveness of his friend. Sensing something was bothering Summer, Victor reached out to Phyllis. She told him to let Summer handle herself, but he said he always took care of his own. Ashley told Victor that she was worried Abby was headed for heartbreak, but he was optimistic that Abby would get the child she wanted. Summer returned from her trip to L.A. and had words with Sally. Sally implied there was more to Kyle’s secret than an affair. When Summer asked what she was talking about, Sally told her to ask Kyle. Tara came to town and told Kyle that Harrison was his son. She didn’t want the secret to come out because Harrison loved the father who was raising him and because Ashland crushed the people who crossed him. Kyle confided all this in Mariah. He wasn’t sure what to do or if he should tell Summer. She told him that secrets had a way of coming out. Sally overheard Mariah tell Kyle to consider her advice. Mariah and Tessa met with Brittany Hodges to draw up a surrogacy contract. At Brittany and Tessa’s urging, Mariah agreed to see Sharon as a therapist for any issues that cropped up during the surrogacy. Tessa assured Mariah that she fully supported her being a surrogate. Tessa thought they could use this time to figure out whether they wanted a baby of their own. Phyllis told Summer that she’d decided to investigate Sally. Phyllis hoped that Sally would lose the support of Jack and Lauren and leave town. Summer wanted to handle things herself, but Phyllis was undaunted. Phyllis broke into Sally’s room and took her laptop. She saw that Sally did online searches on the Abbotts and on Summer’s engagement to Kyle. She called Lauren and asked to meet. Jack overheard Kyle asking Sally what was going on between her and Jack. Sally said Jack was generous and genuine. Jack talked to Kyle alone and said his friendship with Sally was none of Kyle’s concern. Summer overheard Jack ask Kyle why he suddenly booked then canceled a flight to NY.

Devon and Amanda discussed Abby’s surrogacy woes, and it made him think of Hilary and their child. Devon told Abby, Mariah and Nina that he was willing to donate his sperm to them. Kyle confided in Mariah that he might have a child as a result of an affair. He didn’t hate the idea of being a father, but he didn’t think he could be in the child’s life, because the man currently raising the child was dangerous. She advised him to tell Summer about this. Kyle got interrupted as he tried to tell Summer something. Summer spent time with Faith and came away convinced that Faith was telling the truth about the vodka in her locker being planted by bullies. Summer admitted that she’d bullied a boy once. Sharon and Rey argued about Adam. He wasn’t sure she was really ready to cut Adam out of her life. He also thought that she should think about how her decision to interact with Adam would affect Faith. Faith saw the tension between Sharon and Rey and wondered what Sharon did. Faith confronted Sharon after someone sent her a picture of Sharon kissing Adam. Phyllis was unhappy when she saw Jack and Sally bonding. Phyllis warned Jack about Sally, but Jack felt that Phyllis should give Sally a chance. Phyllis told Sally that she saw through her act. Summer and Phyllis agreed to protect Jack from Sally.

Amanda cooked dinner with Devon, and they shared stories from their past. Things heated up and they went upstairs together. Elena and Nate enjoyed their vacation in Manzanillo. After he told her how much he thought of her, she accidentally called him Devon. He believed it was just a mistake, but he did wonder if she wished she was still with Devon. She assured Nate that she wanted to be with him and that she didn’t think of Devon that way anymore. Kyle told Summer about his affair with the wife of a ruthless and powerful older man. She wasn’t upset. He worried Ashland would target them, and he figured it was best to do nothing. He convinced her that they shouldn’t go after Sally. Sally had drinks with Jack, and he told her about traveling the world. She wanted to do that, and she was interested in having company, but he said sometimes it was best to discover things alone. Sally overheard Phyllis and Nick talking about her. Sally charmed Nick, and annoyed Phyllis. Phyllis privately told Nick that she’d make sure Sally paid if she went after Summer. Summer and Kyle ran into her concerned parents. Summer told Phyllis that things were fine, but Phyllis didn’t believe that, and she vowed to find out what was going on.

Theo and Sally met with Kyle. Theo let revealed that he’d run into the married woman Kyle used to date in NY. The woman had a young son she was passing off as her husband’s but the boy looked like Kyle. Sally realized Kyle never knew about the pregnancy. Kyle denied impregnating anyone and called Theo a liar. Sally told Kyle she didn’t want to blow up his life. She wanted to peacefully coexist with him and Summer. Nick was pleasantly surprised Victoria apologized to Phyllis. He asked Phyllis to attend the family gathering, but she declined.

Victoria found out Billy was going to tell Johnny that he was dating Lily. She thought it was too soon. Billy told her that he was serious about Lily. Lily and Billy spent time with Johnny. Johnny asked Lily if she was Billy’s girlfriend. Billy said yes, and Johnny asked if that meant Victoria and Billy weren’t getting back together. Billy assured Johnny that he had two parents who loved him and that he and Katie would always come first. Nikki and Victor prepared to meet their children for dinner. He wasn’t happy when she told him that Victoria had been thinking back on her relationship with Billy. He lamented that Adam wouldn’t be involved. Nick, Victoria and Abby joined the dinner. Abby told everyone her surrogacy news, and they were all happy for her. Victoria asked Billy how Johnny took the news, and he said it went well. Summer told Phyllis how happy she and Kyle were. She was concerned about what Sally would do in the future. Phyllis said that Summer had the upper hand. Kyle rushed in upset and talked to Summer in private. He said Sally knew what he did, and he could lose everything. Phyllis and Nick were concerned about what was going on with Kyle. Sally thanked Theo for this information. She now felt protected from anything Summer and Kyle might try and use against her.

Victor, feeling that the family was splintered, instructed Victoria and Nick to put their differences aside and come to a family dinner. Victoria wanted to repair things with Nick, and he told her to apologize to Phyllis. At the doctor’s office, Mariah found out that she was capable of carrying a child. Chance found out that he had infertility problems, possibly stemming from the time in the hospital, and he wouldn’t be able to give Abby a baby right now. He and Abby decided to look into sperm donation and adoption. Chance got a call from mysterious person from his past. Elena rushed out after spending the night with Devon. She talked to Lola, who told her to decide what she wanted. Elena and Devon decided not to tell anyone about their night together. She wanted to see where things went with Nate, and she didn’t want to ruin Devon’s relationship with Amanda. Nate and Devon were excited Moses would be there in a few weeks. Sharon told Rey that she decided to work with Chelsea. He didn’t like it, but he supported her. Sharon had a short session with Chelsea. Chelsea was suspicious of Sharon and Adam and imagined they kissed. Adam believed that Chelsea’s physical therapy session wasn’t fruitful. Chelsea moved the fingers on her right hand, but no one saw it. Rey found a vodka cap in the couch cushions. Sharon thought it meant Faith and Jordan drank there last night. She called Nick and she called in a therapist. Sharon thought Faith should start therapy ASAP, but Nick didn’t think she was ready. Victoria apologized to Phyllis. Phyllis assumed that Victoria was only doing it because Nick asked her to.

ChanceComm had a meeting to go to in NY. Lily and Billy decided she’d travel to NY, and he’d join in by video chat since he’d have the kids full time while Victoria was out of town. Amanda planned to accompany Lily to NY, and they were both excited about Manhattan. Amanda and Lily discussed the fact that Lily could pick up and go any time, while Billy couldn’t because he had young children. Amanda was hurt over the restraining order and wanted to teach Imani a lesson. She decided not to go public with her story for now, but she didn’t rule it out for the future. Katie didn’t want Victoria to leave, but Billy helped her feel better about it. Victoria tried to stay home for Katie, but Nikki convinced her to go on the trip. Billy introduced Katie to Lily, and it went well. Victoria found out, and she seemed fine with it. Adam talked with Nate about hiring a mental health professional for Chelsea. Adam noticed Chelsea seemed to make progress during emotionally charged moments. He thought that if she worked with Sharon, it’d make her angry enough to recover. He asked Chelsea to work with Sharon. She didn’t want to, but she agreed, so she could keep an eye on Sharon and Adam. He asked Sharon to work with Chelsea. She thought his plan for her to agitate Chelsea into recovery was unethical. He asked her to think about it. Amanda and Nate chatted about his new job and about her family. He revealed he was more inclined to mentor Moses. She said Devon always seemed to know just what she needed to hear. Nate was glad Devon and Amanda had each other.

Abby was devastated to learn that, due to uterine scarring, she’d never be able to get pregnant. Chance, Traci and Mariah were there for Abby and told her there were other options to have a child. Abby wasn’t ready to make a decision. The rest of her reproductive system was fine. Sharon tried to leave Society without Adam seeing her. Victor saw her and told her that not many people should sympathy to Adam. Adam and Victor met, and Victor urged Adam to stay positive and patient about Chelsea. Adam was grateful for what Victor had done for him. Ashley texted Victor about Abby. Sharon brought some books to Adam on long term care and stress management. Chelsea’s nurse brought her home, and she was angry Sharon was there. Adam thought Chelsea knew Sharon had good intentions, and he told her to stay, but Sharon believed Chelsea was unhappy, and she left. Chelsea imagined Adam kissing Sharon, and she made a noise. Adam was encouraged by Chelsea’s attempt to communicate, though he didn’t know what she was trying to say.

Victoria went to Billy’s office to drop off the tablet he left at her place. After Victoria left, Lily theorized that Victoria missed Billy and that she was trying to set up roadblocks for Lily and Billy. Billy didn’t think Victoria wanted him back. He wondered if this was Lily’s way of trying to get out of the relationship with him. She told him she didn’t play games. He was happy to be with someone who was straightforward. Nikki and Victor talked Victoria into going on a work trip to Hawaii, because they thought she needed a break. Nikki asked Billy to watch the kids, and he said yes. Victoria smiled at a picture of herself with Billy and the kids. Billy took Lily ice skating. He wanted her to get to know his kids while he had them during Lily’s trip, and she agreed, but she thought they should introduce her as a work friend. Mariah asked Sharon for advice on being there for a friend without being overbearing.

A snowstorm forced the Jabot jet to make an emergency landing, stranding Billy, Lily, Summer and Kyle in rural Colorado. Billy and Kyle bickered, and Lily noticed. While the men went out to look for a hotel, Summer and Lily talked about being happy in their relationships. Summer thought it was nice to see Lily in love. Lily said she and Billy weren’t putting labels on things. Summer mentioned that she was once attracted to Billy a long time ago, and Lily took it in stride. Billy and Kyle came back reported there were no hotels for miles, so they’d have to spend the night on the jet. Amanda talked Naya into meeting with her. Amanda promised she’d never contact Naya again after she got the answers she needed. Naya followed Amanda back to Genoa City, so that her husband and daughter didn’t find out about Amanda. Chloe visited Chelsea at Adam’s invitation. Chloe apologized for pressuring Chelsea. Through blinks, Chelsea signaled she was ready to put that behind them. Victoria complained to Nikki about Victor running back into Adam’s orbit. She was sure it was just a matter of time before Adam turned on Victor. Nikki saw the tension between Nick and Victoria.

Nick told Nikki about Victoria trying to take the hotel. Nikki didn’t approve, but she wanted Nick to move on, since everything worked out. Nick made it clear his loyalty was to Phyllis, and he said Victoria was turning into Victor. He accused Nikki of dealing with Victoria the same way she dealt with Victor. Kevin told Phyllis that if she blackmailed Victoria, she’d just be hurting herself in the end. He said he’d made the incriminating flash drive disappear. Nick told Phyllis how he supported her during his talk with Nikki. Phyllis felt lucky to have Nick. Faith was angry when she saw Adam because he was supposed to be leaving town. She told him she and Sharon didn’t care about his feelings and that Sharon had moved on with a great guy. Faith texted Jordan and asked if they could meet.

Arturo spent some time with Sharon, Rey, and Mariah before the flight to Miami. Faith came home hungover, but she explained it away as tiredness. Jordan invited Faith to a party. No parents would be there. Faith pretended she wasn’t allowed to go, because she had family stuff to deal with. Adam learned that by the time Chelsea got to the hospital, there was damage from the hemorrhage was done. She’d had a stroke, and she was paralyzed on her right side, and she couldn’t talk. She was unconscious and she couldn’t have visitors, because there was a risk of infection. The doctors weren’t sure whether she’d recover or get worse. Adam tried to pull some strings to get in to see Chelsea, but he failed. He called Victor and left a message. Connor called Adam. Adam didn’t divulge Chelsea’s dire condition. Phyllis and Nick enjoyed their night together, and he liked waking up with her in his arms. She wondered if he was thinking about marriage. He didn’t think he and Phyllis should get married. He loved her, but they’d already tried to do traditional route, and it didn’t work out. She agreed they didn’t need a piece of paper to confirm how they felt about each other. She told him Adam had been at the wedding. Phyllis gave Nick the impression that she might do something underhanded to get the money to pay him back. She assured him she wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize the hotel. Sharon overheard Elena and Nate talking about Chelsea’s condition. She told Rey. He didn’t want her to reach out to Adam, because he was worried Adam would lash out at her, but he supported her making her own decision. She decided not to get involved. Elena and Nate talked about her feelings. She wanted to continue to see him, but she wanted to take it slow. He agreed. They decided on a dinner date tonight. Adam insisted that Chelsea had to make a full recovery. Elena wanted Adam to adjust his expectations. She hoped Chelsea would recover with therapy, but there were no guarantees. Amanda struggled with the revelation that her birth mother had another grown daughter whom she’d raised. Amanda felt that her sister had never had to fight for anything. Devon told her he didn’t know that. Amanda decided not to pursue a meeting with her mother. Devon believed that Hilary would demand answers from Naya. Amanda went home and she called Naya, but when she answered, Amanda hung up the phone. Phyllis decided to pay Nick weekly instead of monthly. She wished she could get in the ring and box Victoria. She seethed when Victoria entered the hotel, but decided to ignore her. Nick and Victoria had words over her treatment of Phyllis. Victoria felt that Phyllis had started things and that Nick was being dramatic over business. Nick felt like Victoria was turning into Victor. He said she’d lost her sense of humor and compassion after she broke up with Billy. He assumed Billy had been a better influence on Victoria that he’d realized. Chelsea and Adam came home from their trip to see Connor. They talked about everything that happened as a result of his parents covering up AJ’s death. She told him they were going to move past that. He said no one in this town mattered to him anymore. Tessa had a hard time writing a wedding song, so Mariah helped her find romantic inspiration.

Billy and Adam had words. Adam wondered what Billy would do if Adam weren’t around. Billy suggested Adam disappear forever so they could find out. Sharon ran into Adam. He brought up the commitment and she told him she did it because she was worried about him. Rey saw them talking. Adam mentioned he was moving away, and Sharon wished him well. Adam appreciated Sharon caring. Rey asked if Sharon was okay. She was. Adam thanked Rey for arresting the shooter. Sharon told Rey she wasn’t thinking about Adam, because she was thinking about her wedding to Rey. Chelsea told Chloe that it was hard to confide in Adam that she was worried about the surgery because he felt guilty. Chloe wanted to know if Adam had something to do with the fall, but Chelsea didn’t want to get into it because she and Adam were in a great place. Chloe and Chelsea decided to open the fashion company and work long distance together once Chelsea moved away. Chelsea told Sharon that she was going to have a medical procedure. Chelsea and Adam told each other about their talk with Sharon. Chelsea was concerned about the surgery, but Adam told her he wasn’t afraid because they had world class surgeons and once she recovered, they’d start a new life. Michael missed his lunch with Kevin. Phyllis overheard Kevin mention that Gloria was mixed up in something that involved Newman and Victoria. Phyllis tried to reignite a bond with Kevin as part of her plan to get more information. Phyllis told Nick that she thought an opportunity was about to come her way.

The judge dropped the charges against Billy. Billy’s request to talk to Alyssa was denied. Billy made plans to surprise Lily with a one day trip to New Orleans to thank her for her support. He visited his kids and told Victoria about the trip. He wondered if Victoria had a problem with him seeing Lily, and she said no. She thought it was best for him and Lily if they took it slow. She told Billy she was in his corner, and she was looking out for Lily too. Billy told Lily about the trip, and she agreed to go. Victoria told Billy that Johnny was upset Billy was leaving town so close to Christmas. Billy promised Johnny he’d be back to see him open presents. Lily told Billy that they couldn’t go on the trip. Jack found out Sally wasn’t going home for Christmas, so he invited her to spend it with the Abbotts. Sally told her sister that she planned to handle Summer, that she thought Kyle was attractive and that she had to watch out for Jack, because he wasn’t one to cross. Sally introduced herself to Sharon. Rey and Lola reminisced about Christmases past. Arturo was coming to town for the wedding, and Lola and Rey were happy. Rey hoped Arturo didn’t bring trouble. Lola offered to keep the peace between her brothers. Rey and Sharon looked forward to her wedding. She felt healthy after finishing her last radiation treatment, and they imagined growing old together. Jordan told Faith to prove she was cool by stealing some vodka from Society. Faith made an attempt, but she couldn’t go through with it. Sharon and Rey, who were unaware of this, agreed that Jordan was a good kid. Summer noticed that Kyle’s emerald tie clip and her necklace were missing. He told her he took his tie clip to the jeweler to be cleaned. She’d lost her meaningful infinity necklace, and she was upset about it. Kyle told Jack he was going to get a special gift for Summer, but he had to throw her off track so she wouldn’t figure it out. Summer went to the jeweler to buy something for Phyllis. She saw the tie clip and the emerald was missing. She reported this to Kyle. He claimed he lost the emerald, but when Summer’s back was turned, he smiled. Jack remembered having Christmas with Dina.

Summer tried to convince Theo to take the settlement the Abbotts offered. Brittany told Theo that he should fight if he really thought he’d been cheated, but if he was just trying to get revenge, it’d be best to take the offer. Theo appreciated Summer’s harsh but true advice, so to return the favor, he told her that Sally wanted her job and she was willing to use Kyle to get it. Sally found an excuse to talk business with Kyle, and she tried flattering him. Theo tried to accept the deal for the Parisian boutiques, but he’d come 45 minutes too late. Kyle was glad Theo missed out on the offer. Jack decided to give the boutiques to Theo anyway, to help Theo learn from his mistakes. Jack gave Theo life advice and wished him well. He advised Theo to reach out to his Abbott relatives the next time one of them were in Paris, to try and repair the rift. Elena and Nate agreed to go on another date. Nate found out he’d need a second surgery and that there was a possibility the damage could be repaired. Nate told Elena he’d be okay no matter the outcome, because she’d given him something to look forward to.

Billy was stunned when Lily told him that the witness was Alyssa Montalovo. Billy thought Alyssa was trying to frame him, and he went to confront her, even though Lily tried to talk him out of it. Rey, Sharon and Lola’s talk about the wedding got cut short when Alyssa called Rey in a panic about Lily’s visit. Sharon worried about the stress the case was causing for Rey. Devon and Amanda saw Lily and Billy having a heated discussion. Devon thought it was dumb of Billy to fire Amanda. Devon asked Amanda to dinner and she accepted. Rey arrested Billy for violating his bail. Amanda urged Billy to rehire her.

Adam and Chelsea awaited her test results after her fainting episode. Rey let them know that Billy had been arrested. Adam didn’t want to leave town until they knew what was wrong with Chelsea. Adam told Chelsea about his meeting with Victor and Victoria. Chelsea left Chloe a message letting her know she was moving away and that she’d miss her. Chelsea lied and told Adam that the doctor called and said she had a minor condition. Adam believed her and said he’d book the flights tonight. Michael told Rey it’d be tough to prosecute the case of a sympathetic grieving father against a sociopath who’d killed someone as a child. There was a witness who saw Billy at the crime scene. Rey and Michael were keeping the person’s identity secret. Amanda told Jill and Lily about the eyewitness. Lily was sure the person was wrong, since Billy was at work during the shooting, and ChanceComm’s security video would prove it. Jill was sure Billy was innocent, but she worried the trial would go wrong. She asked Lily to help her convince Billy to skip town. Lily knew Billy would never leave his family. Jill hoped Amanda could win the case. Victoria told Lily that Billy and Amanda had an affair. Lily was skeptical when she found out that Victor was the source of this information and that he’d never shown Victoria any proof. Victoria wanted Billy to know she supported him, and she also told Lily that Adam was supposedly leaving town.

Amanda got Billy out on bail. She questioned him, and he confessed that he had left the building the day Chance was shot. He’d gotten a tip that Chelsea was missing, so he followed Adam to the building that later became the crime scene. He saw Chelsea walking away from the building, assumed the tip was wrong, and he left before the shooting occurred. Amanda was frustrated with Billy for lying to her and lying to the police. He said he lied because he didn’t think anyone saw him at the building, and he didn’t think it’d be a good idea to say he’d been there. Faith got teased by her classmates over Adam getting committed. Faith approved of Sharon having Adam locked up. She was dismayed to learn he was already free. Sharon wished Adam had gotten the help he needed, but Faith thought Adam was evil and beyond help. Rey was pleased when Sharon said she was finished worrying about Adam. Sharon and Rey’s instincts told them that Billy was innocent. Jordan asked Faith to lie to Sharon and come hang out with her. Faith said she had to stay on Sharon’s good side after getting into trouble.

Jill and Nina returned for the wedding. Characters recognized that this wedding would be the merger of three prominent Genoa City families, which caused them to reminisce about the old days. Chance asked Nina to be his best person, and she accepted. Abby had cold feet on her wedding day and locked herself in the bathroom because of all her failed relationships and past immaturity. Mariah and Ashley tried to get through to her, but Chance was the one who convinced her to unlock the door. He told her he knew what a mess he was and he loved it. Jill caught up with Esther and Jack. Nick wanted Phyllis to accompany him to the wedding. She declined because people wouldn’t want her there, but she promised him a night to remember after the event was over. Victor promised Victoria and Nikki that he wouldn’t ruin Abby’s day by fighting with Billy. Victor and Ashley marveled over how well their daughter had turned out. Traci and Ashley acknowledged the late Brad Carlton’s part in raising Abby. Devon arrived to officiate the wedding, and Mariah asked him to stall, since Abby had the jitters.

Jack, Billy, Ashley, and Kyle gathered for Thanksgiving. Jack invited Summer without telling Kyle. Billy hoped Summer and Kyle would get back together. Summer wasn’t interested in Billy’s opinion, because she still hated him. Kyle slipped his room key to Summer, and they both made up excuses to leave early, and they met up at his place. Summer told Kyle that she’d had stupid insecurities. He was willing to talk and hash things out. She said she didn’t want to overthink this again. Jack asked Billy to do some consulting work at Jabot during his leave of absence. Billy felt like Jack thought he’d spiral out of control without a job. He was offended, and he left. Jack didn’t mean to drive Billy away. Ashley told him that family always returned. Sharon, Rey, Mariah, Faith, Nick, Phyllis, Victor and Nikki helped prepare dinner for the homeless. Devon made a big donation to the cause. Phyllis thought Sharon knew about Faith’s drinking, so she brought it up to her. Sharon confronted Nick for hiding this from her, and she told Faith she’d be punished. Faith explained that the kids were tormenting her over the article. Sharon promised Faith could still lean on her.

Victor worried over Adam. Nikki told him that Adam was getting the best care. She urged Victor to focus on their blessings in life. Amanda found out Elena was spending the holiday alone. Devon invited Amanda to Thanksgiving, but she said she had plans to cheer up a friend. Amanda visited Elena and suggested they order fast food and hang out. Elena accepted the offer. Amanda said she had no connection with Nate, but he was a wonderful guy, and he’d make a fantastic partner for someone else. Elena said she’d gotten an idea of what she wanted, but she didn’t want to hurt Devon. Amanda was sure he’d be fine. Elena told Amanda and Lola that Nate cared about her, and she liked that he did. Elena sent a happy Thanksgiving text to Nate. Lily invited Nate to Devon’s without asking Devon. Devon didn’t want Nate there. Lily said they were family, and life was short. Lily left Nate and Devon alone after dinner. Devon and Nate were able to make the first step toward getting past what happened. Lily had a drink with Billy. He told her Jack thought he was going to slip into oblivion without a job. She hoped he knew that wasn’t true. He appreciated her saying that.

Abby and Chance planned their wedding. Devon got ordained to perform the ceremony, and Lauren sent Sally to help Abby with wedding dresses. Mariah felt lonely with Tessa out of town, so she hung out with Devon. Mariah told Devon and Abby she was head of marketing at Jabot. Victor thought Billy shot Adam. He told Victoria that he’d put Adam in a psych ward for his own good. Victoria didn’t think it’d help. Rey revealed that Billy was the owner of the gun that shot Chance. Billy said he left the gun at Victoria’s place years ago. Victoria told Rey that she and Billy suspected Adam was the one who broke into her house a few weeks ago. She theorized that he stole the gun. She’d never thought to check the lock box to make sure the gun was still there. Billy overheard Victoria stand up for him with Rey. Victoria noted there was evidence against Billy. He realized she wasn’t 100% sure he was innocent, and he understood that. He wondered if Adam stole the gun and hired someone to shoot him to frame Billy. However, he didn’t think that theory made any sense.

Chance and Rey talked about the case. Rey had enough evidence to bring Billy down to the station, but he wasn’t going to bring anyone in until he had a solid case. Adam hallucinated a young version of himself and argued with his childhood self about whether he belonged in the mental hospital and about whether Victor was to blame. Victor visited and tried in vain to convince Adam that this treatment would heal him. Victor saw Adam arguing with young Adam and called in an orderly. Adam fought the orderlies, but they overpowered him and strapped him to the bed. When Adam was alone, he hallucinated Chelsea telling him to come home to her and Connor. Sally talked to her sister and made her job sound busier and more fulfilling than it really was.

Chelsea found out Sharon and Victor had Adam committed. Chelsea believed Sharon did it to stop Adam from moving away and starting a new life with Chelsea. Sharon said Rey was the only man she wanted and that she had Adam committed to protect him from himself. Chelsea vowed to make sure Sharon regretted this. Victor refused Chelsea’s request to pull some strings and get Adam released. He said they had to stop enabling Adam and let him get therapy to get to the root of what was bothering him. Chelsea thought Victor wanted to crush Adam and turn him into the kind of son Victor wanted. Victor denied it. Victor wouldn’t tell Chelsea where Adam was. Adam told his doctor that Victor sent him there to punish him. He refused to participate in his therapy session, because he believed the doctor would twist his words. Kyle told Sally that Summer would be running JCV. Sally mentioned Kyle and Summer’s failed engagement. Kyle thought Sally was looking for an angle to use to her advantage. He understood, since he used to do things like that. He told her that she could still make her mark at Fenmore’s. Sally was annoyed Theo didn’t follow through on his promise to find out who would be running JCV. She wanted him to get dirt on Summer so that Sally could take her down. Theo agreed to do that if Sally would spy on the Abbotts for him.

Rey told Chance that the earbud found at the crime scene had Billy’s DNA on it. Billy told Jack he was a suspect in Chance’s shooting, but he promised he would be okay and wouldn’t backslide. Lily defended Billy when Rey asked how she could be so sure that Billy wasn’t the shooter. She said that Billy had changed. Lily accepted when Billy asked her out on a dinner date. Summer told Kyle and Jack she was taking the job at JCV. They wished her well. Kyle and Jack got served with papers for Theo’s lawsuit. Sally told Jack that Theo asked her to spy on the Abbotts. Theo and Kyle argued about his lawsuit. Summer told Kyle not to let Theo get to him, because Kyle was the better man. Kyle offered Mariah Summer’s old job. She was interested, but she didn’t make a decision yet. Rey told Billy that they’d found a gun registered to Billy broken down in a dumpster. The police thought that it was the one used to shoot Chance.

Chance and Abby decided to get married as soon as he got out of the hospital. Adam visited Chance. Chance felt he’d repaid his debt to Adam. Chance didn’t think Adam was good for Chelsea, and he thought he’d be better off if Adam wasn’t part of his life anymore. Abby asked Ashley to help her plan a wedding that honored the people she and Chance loved, like Dina, Brad and Chance’s family. Victor came to the hospital at Chance’s request. Chance told Victor that Adam was struggling. Chance also revealed he and Abby were engaged and asked Victor’s blessing. Victor welcomed Chance to the family. Sharon told Rey that she visited Adam to see if he knew who tried to kill him. Rey said he didn’t want Sharon around Adam, because he thought she might get hurt. He told her that Adam kidnapped Chelsea. He felt Adam destroyed everything he touched. Sharon said Adam didn’t destroy her and he wouldn’t destroy what she and Rey had. Sharon had reservations about whether Rey could be impartial with Adam’s case, and she ultimately decided that he could. Billy told Lily and Amanda that it was Adam’s fault Chance got shot, since he’d angered someone enough to try and kill him. Lily was adamant that they wouldn’t run an article without an arrest. Amanda supported this. Lily and Amanda talked about handling Billy. Lily thought she knew how to get him to follow the rules. Lily was very happy with her job, and Amanda asked if it was because of Billy. Lily apologized to Sharon about the article that had caused difficulties for Faith. Sharon knew there was a good man inside Adam, but she decided not to spend any more time helping him overcome his past.

Rey talked to Chelsea, and she walked back all the stuff she’d said about Adam kidnapping her and targeting Newman Tower. Rey wondered how Adam got people to forgive him. She told him that Adam thought Billy was the shooter. Rey noticed the place where Chance was shot was very close to ChanceComm. Billy and Adam had words. Adam said the person who shot at him would pay. Billy said not if the person tried again and succeeded in shooting him. Adam told Chelsea that Billy basically confessed to shooting him, but he wasn’t going to seek revenge. He tried to reconnect with her, but she said she wasn’t sure she’d ever trust him again. He said he had to believe she would, since that was the only thing holding him together. She told him not to put that on her. Chelsea asked Billy if he tried to shoot Adam, and he refused to justify it with a response. Rey overheard Billy say that Chelsea should be disappointed the shooter missed. Rey questioned Billy about his possible involvement. Billy said he wouldn’t be sad if Adam was shot, but he didn’t pull the trigger. Amanda asked if there was anything going on with Lily and Billy. Lily said no. Billy told Lily and Amanda he might need a lawyer. Chloe tried to get Chelsea to focus on building a good life without Adam. Chelsea said she still loved him.
