Steve went to see Marlena. He let her know that he turned himself in for helping Clyde escape. Steve told her that he didn’t tell the police about John and Ava. He let her know that Jada didn’t buy that he did it alone so she might ask questions. Steve thought John would have been back from Greece by now. Marlena let him know that they haven’t talked since John left. She thought John didn’t want to come home. Marlena informed Steve that John tried to kill him before he left for Greece. He was shocked by what he heard. Stephanie went to the police station and insisted that Jada talk to Bobby. She thought Jada was the only one who could convince him to bring Everett out. Bobby hid his meds. He was happy with the way things were with Everett out of the way. Julie wanted Chad to stop looking at the video. He looked at the screen and wondered if the person was Abby. Chad wondered if she was out there somewhere. He felt like he should recognize his wife. Julie told him that Clyde wanted to drive him crazy. He thought about the night Kayla told him that Abby was gone. Chad wondered if Kayla could have missed something. Julie thought he should talk to Kayla. Marlena told Steve what happened when John tried to kill him. She felt like John was staying away because he didn’t want to hurt him. Steve thought he had to be the one to bring him home if he gets probation. He felt like everything that happened was his fault. Steve owed his life to John.

Bobby was reading when Jada showed up. He let her know that was reading the mystery she recommended. Bobby assumed Marlena or Stephanie urged her to visit him. Jada told him they were worried about him. She realized that he wasn’t responsible for the things she blamed him for. Bobby told her that he never stopped loving her and didn’t mean to hurt her. He wondered if they could get past what happened. She accepted his apology and said she cared about him. He got upset when he realized she was there for Everett. Jada reminded him that she was with Rafe now. She said Everett is host personality while Bobby is the alter ego. Bobby got offended by what she said. He told her about what he protected Everett from. She thought he should let Everett out to face the truth. Chad went to Kayla’s office. He showed her the footage of the mystery woman. She couldn’t tell if the woman was Abby or not. He wondered if it was possible that Abby could be alive. She thought it was possible. While Steve was at the penthouse, Justin called him to tell him that he had a suspended sentence and had to serve 100 hours of community service. Steve told Marlena the news, so he could go to Greece to get John. Marlena was grateful and knew John would be too. Jada thought Bobby should let Everett out and that he would always be part of him. Bobby told her that he could help solve a crime. If Everett came back, she’ll never know the truth. Jada wondered what crime he was talking about. He told her that it was a murder. Kayla talked to Chad about the people who have died and came back to life in Salem so it was possible that Abby could be alive. She said that there are drugs that could mimic death. Kayla said there was no autopsy done on Abby, but the funeral home would have embalmed her. There was one way to find out the truth. Later, Chad ran into Paulina to ask her to exhume Abby’s body.

Chanel told Johnny that she enjoyed having a life growing inside of her. It was a life they made together. Johnny offered to get her things from home. She told him not to let her mother in if she shows up. He agreed not to let her in the room. Abe comforted Paulina at the hospital. Johnny walked by them, so Abe offered his condolences. Paulina wanted to sit with Chanel, but Johnny told her that she didn’t want to see her. He wanted Paulina to respect Chanel’s wishes. Eric stopped by the paper to let Nicole know that he might be leaving Salem. He applied for jobs in other cities and hoped that he heard from one of them. Nicole wondered if he was leaving because it was too painful to be around Jude. He needed time away to accept that he’s not Jude’s father. EJ called Rafe and told him that he needed him to find Melinda for Gabi to be freed from prison. Rafe believed his guys could track her down. He didn’t think Melinda would give up Clyde’s book without an immunity deal. EJ ordered Rafe to find Melinda. He would deal with the rest. Gabi was happy to reunite with Stefan. She was happy to be out of solitary even though she kept getting beaten up. Gabi didn’t want to focus on that because they didn’t have much time together. Stefan told her they would have more time together because she was going free. She wanted to believe him, but she didn’t want to get her hopes up. Stefan told her about the plan with EJ. She reminded him that EJ did everything in his power to put her in prison. Stefan assured her that EJ was on their side now. Gabi wondered what changed his mind.

Melinda walked into the interrogation room. Rafe demanded Clyde’s book in exchange for immunity. Melinda was suspicious. She wondered why EJ would agree to that. EJ sent Stefan an update when Johnny walked in the room. He told EJ about Chanel losing the baby. EJ was sympathetic towards him, but he got upset. Johnny reminded him that he never wanted them to have the baby. EJ was genuinely sorry and wanted what he wanted. They hugged each other. Paulina told Abe that Mark couldn’t confirm whether the baby died because of Chanel’s exposure to radiation. Abe told her not to blame herself. She knew that Chanel blamed her for it. Abe went to Chanel’s room to offer his condolences. He tried to plead Paulina’s case, but she lashed out at him. She didn’t want to talk about her mother. He agreed and held her. Nicole tried to calm Jude down, but she had trouble doing it. Eric told her what to do. Nicole knew that Jude would miss him. Eric told her that Jude has her now. She didn’t want him to move, but she understood why he was leaving. Stefan lied to Gabi about EJ helping them out of loyalty. Gabi knew there was more to it than that. Stefan read EJ’s text about Rafe being on the case. He assured her that she would be getting out of prison soon. Rafe told Melinda that Stefan convinced EJ to give her the immunity. Melinda was skeptical, but she agreed to give him the book. She would do it after the deal was finalized. Abe left Chanel’s room as Johnny returned. Chanel told him that Abe tried to defend Paulina. She knew he would always stand by Paulina’s side. Johnny said he would be by her side too. She told him they could make their flight so he could pursue his dream. His dream was being with her. Melinda arrived at the DiMera mansion to thank him for the immunity deal. Now there’s nothing he could do when she tells Nicole that he’s not Jude’s father. EJ wondered why she would do that. She said she would do it out of spite. Melinda told him that he took her job and destroy her life without a second thought. She’s going to do the same thing to him. Nicole walked in the room and wondered what was going on.

EJ let Stefan know that he couldn’t get Gabi out of prison. Stefan went off and reminded him about their deal. EJ told him that he only had photos of Clyde’s book. The judge needed physical evidence or Gabi wouldn’t get out of prison. Alex told Brady that he and Theresa were engaged. Brady wished them luck but thought they were moving too fast. Alex was going to propose to him sooner, but he wanted to make sure he was ready to commit to a recovering addict. He also had to work through his trust issues. Alex felt like he could trust Theresa, but Brady wondered if he could. He wondered if she was after him for his money. Theresa panicked when she heard Sarah tell Bonnie that Xander’s aunt gave him the address for his mother’s place. Theresa didn’t think it was her current address. Sarah was going to send an invitation to her and see what happens. Theresa told her that she couldn’t do that. She came up with reasons why Sarah shouldn’t invite his mother to the wedding. Sarah and Bonnie shot down every reason Theresa had. Theresa offered to help Sarah and Bonnie with the invitation. EJ reminded Stefan that Melinda was holding Clyde’s book, and he couldn’t find her. Stefan wanted him to give Melinda immunity for taking Nicole’s baby in exchange for the book. EJ let him know that Nicole wouldn’t understand that. Stefan didn’t care. He wanted Gabi out of prison or else he would tell Nicole the truth.

Nicole and Xander were at the paper. They talked about baby switching which led them to talk about their own situations. Nicole continued to talk about the things he did wrong. They agreed to disagree, and he told her that Sarah got him to invite his mother to the wedding. Brady told Alex that Theresa made it a habit to go after rich men’s money. Alex reminded him that Theresa was interested in him before his inheritance. Brady remembered Theresa getting Victor’s briefcase before they did. He thought she might have broken into it and saw the documents. Alex was sure their meeting wasn’t premeditated. Sarah let Bonnie know that they could talk about a double wedding another time. Bonnie talked to Theresa about the prom. Theresa ranted about Holly and Sarah defended her niece. Theresa eased up on Holly and talked about being hooked on drugs when she was a kid. While they were talking, Theresa managed to swipe Fiona’s invitation. Alex didn’t want Brady to mention his theory again especially in front of Theresa. Theresa walked in while they were talking. Bonnie knocked over a trash can and noticed Fiona’s invitation. She thought Theresa got into Sarah’s head and decided to mail the invitation herself. EJ called Rafe and told him that he had to find Melinda if he wanted Gabi back home. Stefan was at the prison and waited until Gabi arrived.

Brady talked to Marlena about what happened between Tate and Holly during the prom. He agreed with Theresa about what happened. Marlena wondered if he agreed with her because she was right or because of his feelings for her. Brady assured her that they were co-parents. He did admit that they had a moment together. Brady said that Theresa wants to be with Alex. She wondered what he wanted. He wasn’t concerned about his feelings. Marlena assured him that she would be there for him and left for the hospital. Alex talked to Bonnie about getting engaged to Theresa. She wondered if he talked to Justin about it. He let her know that he didn’t because of the way he reacted towards her. Bonnie told him that Theresa was manipulating him. Theresa overheard Bonnie and glared at her. Johnny and Paulina brought Chanel to the hospital. Chanel was cramping in the elevator. Mark took them to an examination room. He wanted Paulina to wait outside. She reluctantly left. Chanel let Johnny know that she was scared. Johnny tried to comfort her. Marlena ran into Leo at the hospital. She agreed to see him. He told her about his horrible meeting with his mother. Marlena told him that he’s not a dependent child so he shouldn’t give his mother power over him. He could do anything he liked. Leo was happy with their session and wondered if the doctor (Mark) was worth checking out. Theresa wondered why it was okay for Bonnie to talk about her behind her back. Bonnie said she talked about things she would say to her face. Alex assured Theresa that he trusted her, and he was committed to making a life with her. Theresa wondered why Bonnie made a 180. Bonnie said Justin’s concerns were why she was concerned. She changed the subject to talk about Xander and Sarah’s wedding. Bonnie let it slip that Xander’s mother might be at the wedding. Theresa’s panicked at the idea of her being at the wedding. She didn’t think it was a good idea since she’s an alcoholic. Bonnie thought she might have changed liked her. Alex wondered why Theresa was so worried about it.

Mark performed an ultrasound on Chanel. He gave her Felicity’s stuffed animal to hold. After the ultrasound, Mark told Chanel and Johnny that she had a miscarriage. Johnny and Chanel were heartbroken and confused since he told them the baby was fine. Mark said a spontaneous loss could happen for any reason and it’s not unusual. He said one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage. Mark apologized for their loss. Johnny started crying as he comforted Chanel. Leo told Marlena about his conversation with Mark. She reminded him that they just met. Marlena didn’t want him to read too much into since they just met. She didn’t want him to get hurt. Theresa told everyone they needed to be wary of long-lost family members showing up after what happened with Konstantin. Bonnie said they couldn’t find Xander’s mother so there was nothing to worry about. Paulina went to Chanel’s room while she was crying in Johnny’s arms. Johnny told her that they lost the baby. Chanel blamed Paulina for their loss. Johnny glared at her.

At the hospital, Steve was on the phone with Tripp. Justin came in his room because Kayla said he might need a lawyer. Kayla went to the pub and talked to Roman about Steve and Ava. When Kayla said she wanted Ava to stay gone, Ava showed up and said she was in China. She said she wanted to tell Tripp and Wendy that Clyde was no longer a threat. Kayla said she hired a lawyer for Steve. She said she hoped Ava had a plan of her own. Theresa told Brady that Sophia was upset that Holly betrayed her. Brady said Sophia looked fine and suggested she stay out of their business. Theresa wanted to bust Tate and Holly together. Tate showed up and said he wasn’t feeling well and wanted to go home. When Tate left to get some air, Theresa told Brady she was right. At the prom, Aaron tried to talk to Sophia, but she didn’t want to talk to him. Sophia told Holly that she knew about her and Tate. She yelled at Holly for lying to her and making her look like a fool. When Holly tried to explain, Sophia said she was too hurt. Sophia told her to be with Tate and she wouldn’t say anything. Holly apologized and left. Kayla asked Ava what was next for her with Tripp gone. She asked if it was bad memories or her husband. Ava refused to answer her. When Kayla left, Ava said she came back to Salem to find out where she stood with Harris. Roman said Harris hasn’t come back from Montana yet. Ava said she shouldn’t return if Harris didn’t.

Steve told Justin that he broke Clyde out of prison. Justin said Clyde hasn’t said anything yet. Steve said he wasn’t going to wait until Clyde said anything, so he was turning himself in. Justin said he could get a deal with time served. He asked Steve if somebody else was involved in the prison break. Steve said he did it all. Theresa and Brady went to the Town Square to look for Tate and Holly. She was worried that Holly was using drugs with Tate. Brady said their son didn’t do drugs. He said Tate was probably somewhere with Holly so they could hook up. Holly met Tate at the Salem Inn. The room was decorated. Holly loved the room but was nervous. Tate told her there was no pressure. He didn’t want anyone to see them. She told him Sophia knew the truth and was upset. They felt bad but hoped that Sophia would hook up with Aaron. When Justin left Steve’s room, Kayla showed up. He told her about turning himself in. She said she didn’t want to lose him to prison but living in fear wasn’t any better. Kayla didn’t like how he protected Ava, but she shouldn’t get away with what she did. While Justin was at the Kiriakis mansion, Alex came in. Justin said he was worried about Alex going after Konstantin and Theresa. Alex said he was okay, but realized Theresa was the one. Justin told him about Brady’s history with her. He said he was concerned as any father would be. Alex said he wasn’t his father. He said even if Justin was his father, he was an adult, so his relationship was none of his business. Justin said he would stay out of his business and left. Aaron asked Sophia if she wanted him to take her home, but she was still upset. He apologized for his part in the lie, but Tate was his friend. Aaron said he was hoping they would spend time together. He said he knew she was upset, but thought it was cool that she didn’t say anything about Tate and Holly. While Tate and Holly were spending time together at the Salem Inn, Theresa and Brady walked in.

EJ told Stefan that he would reopen Li’s murder case. Stefan told him he better get Gabi’s sentence overturned or Nicole was going to find out that Eric is Jude’s father. EJ said it would take time. Stefan told him to do his job or he would tell Nicole. Holly walked in and wanted to know what they were talking about. She changed her mind and didn’t want to know because her mother is a nightmare at times. When Stefan left, EJ talked to Holly about her attitude towards Nicole. Holly talked about Nicole not letting her go to the prom. Nicole walked in and said she changed her mind about the prom. Holly said she didn’t have a dress or a date. Nicole told her Aaron was still available. Theresa had a dream that she told Brady she loved him and was using Alex for his money. When she woke up, Brady was watching her. He told her that she wanted to see him. She said they needed to keep an eye on Tate and Holly at the prom. Brady said he wasn’t worried about Holly because she was grounded and wasn’t going. He said she could have told him that on the phone. Aaron and Tate met at the pub. Tate asked if Aaron was still willing to distract Sophia so he could meet with Holly. Aaron wanted to spend time with Sophia hoping she would notice him. Sophia was eavesdropping when Tate said he wouldn’t have accepted her invitation if his parents didn’t forbid him from seeing Holly. She walked in the pub to confirm that they were meeting for pictures. Tate agreed to do it and left.

Eric went to see Marlena. She brought up his divorce from Sloan. Marlena thought it was dangerous for him to have EJ help him. Eric said EJ and Nicole had a family, so it wasn’t a problem. Marlena changed the subject by inviting him to dinner. He agreed to dinner as long as she didn’t bring up Nicole. While Aaron tried to talk to Sophia, Nicole called him. Nicole gave Holly the phone. She asked him to the prom. Aaron agreed to go with her. Sophia pretended to be happy for him. He told her it wasn’t a date and suggested they hang out. Sophia said it would be a night to remember. While Tate was getting ready, Holly called him to tell him what happened. She was afraid their plan wasn’t going to work, but Tate said he would think of something. When Brady came home, Tate told him Holly was going to the prom. Brady told him he and Theresa would be watching them. Theresa showed up Marlean’s penthouse dressed for the prom. Brady told her Holly was going to the prom. Stefan walked in on EJ and Nicole. EJ told her he had his job back as the DA. Stefan said EJ was going to reopen Gabi’s case. Mark and Aaron showed up to pick up Holly. Holly didn’t like her dress, but it was all she could find at short notice. Sophia showed up at the penthouse. While Theresa was talking to Sophia, Holly and Aaron were mentioned. Holly and Aaron talked about wanting to be with Tate and Sophia. When Holly and Aaron left the mansion, Stefan sent EJ a text warning him that Gabi better be cleared tomorrow or else. The teens showed up at the high school. Theresa warned Holly to stay away from Tate or she would make her leave the prom. When Theresa and Brady were alone, she told him Tate and Holly were planning something.

Abe and Paulina had a celebration for Johnny and Chanel as well as for their anniversary. Eli showed up at the party with the twins. Abe wanted to know if Lani was there. Eli said she went to see Chanel at the bakery since she assumed Paulina and Chanel weren’t talking to each other. Paulina was glad they were talking even if it was behind her back. Eli said Lani understood what Paulina did. Paulina let him know that she and Chanel made up. She said the bad news was Chanel was leaving. Chanel put a closed sign on Sweet Bits. Lani showed up and wondered what was going on. Chanel told her she and Johnny were leaving town because Johnny got a job with his favorite director. She said they have to leave town right away. Lani was glad she came for the visit when she did. Chanel was glad too because she needed her support. Lani said moving was a good thing but might be stressful for the baby. Chanel told her she heard the baby’s heartbeat, but they still won’t know about the radiation for a while. Lani asked how things were between her and Paulina. Chanel said she forgave her. Lani said letting go was going to be hard. Chanel told her EJ was going to hate it. Stefan asked EJ how he was going to get his job back to help Gabi. EJ said he talked to Paulina, and it was going to happen. Stefan told him it better happen, or he was going to tell everyone the truth about Jude’s DNA. Once the truth came out, Nicole, Eric, and Jude would go off together. Johnny showed up and wanted to know what was going on. EJ told him that he and Stefan were talking about business. Johnny asked if they were talking about Kristen being the new CEO. Stefan left them alone. EJ asked Johnny about Chanel’s appointment. Johnny said it went well. EJ said Nicole put pregnancy books for them in the library. Johnny said he appreciated it, but they wouldn’t get a chance to read them since he got a job in California. He told EJ he would be working with his favorite director. Since EJ never approved of his dream, Johnny knew he wouldn’t approve. EJ approved of Johnny pursuing his dream. He said he wanted Johnny to be happy.

When Lani went to Paulina and Abe’s place Eli found out that Johnny and Chanel were leaving Salem. Lani said she heard Paulina was having trouble with the people in Salem. Paulina said they were trying to get her recalled as mayor. Johnny showed up to join the celebration. He said one more person was joining the party. EJ showed up at the party. He said it was great of Abe and Paulina to put their differences aside so he could be at the party. Paulina thought he was talking about the recall. EJ said the people were getting jumpy. Paulina wondered how they would feel about a disgraced getting his job back. EJ said he wasn’t disgraced. She fired him over a conflict of interest which didn’t matter anymore because Kristen got the job as CEO of DiMera Enterprises. He said she had a legitimate reason to give him his job back. She said that was blackmail. While they were talking, EJ let Johnny and Chanel know they could use the DiMera jet whenever they wanted to visit. Later on, EJ asked Paulina if she was going to fire Melinda and give him his job back so he could tear up the petition. Jada ran into Stefan at the pub. She said he and Rafe thought Clyde would reveal that Gil killed Li to clear Gabi’s name. Stefan said they hoped, so but Clyde refused to say anything. Jada said he didn’t refuse to help. He wanted his charges reduced. She said she had a way to get Clyde to tell what he knows. Jada told him they shut down the drug operation, but Stefan had to convince Clyde to start it again. Stefan didn’t think that would be a good idea. He was curious as to why she would want him to do something illegal. Jada said to get Gabi out of prison. She said he helped Stefan before. Stefan said he didn’t do it by choice. Stefan wondered what Rafe thought of the plan. She said he doesn’t know about it. Stefan said Gabi was already in solitary so if he turned on Clyde who knew what would happen to her. Jada asked if he would do it if it was Gabi’s only way out. He said it may not be her only way out. Jada wanted to know what else he had in mind. He said he wouldn’t be talking to her if he had a plan. They continued to talk about how they could get Gabi out of prison. Chad and Julie went to the bank in Chicago to look in the safety deposit box. Mr. Mooney, the president of the bank, brought them the box. He said they needed a combination to open it. Chad said they didn’t have it but Clyde gave them permission to open it. Mr. Mooney said the box was registered to Goldman. Chad said she was the dirty cop and Clyde’s girlfriend. Mr. Mooney said he couldn’t open the box without the combination. Julie said they came a long way. She thought he could open the box. Mr. Mooney said he couldn’t make any exceptions. Chad called Rafe so he could give him the code. When they got the code, they opened the box. There was a flash drive in it. They watched the footage on a computer. There was a woman in a cell. They couldn’t see her face so they couldn’t tell if it was Abby. Stefan went back to the DiMera mansion. EJ walked in. Stefan said he was going to call Nicole. EJ told him he didn’t have to because he got his job back. He said he was going to reopen Gabi’s case.

Abe met with EJ to talk about the organization that’s against Paulina. EJ acted as if he didn’t know what Abe was talking about. Abe told him he knew he started the organization. EJ said he respected him, so he wanted to tell the truth. He said he started the organization. EJ asked if he wanted to know anything else. Abe told him to stop what he’s doing. EJ said he was trying to do the right thing. He said Paulina didn’t use good judgment. Abe asked if he thought that way because she fired him. EJ said that wasn’t the reason why. He said he could spend more time with his son and acting CEO of DiMera Enterprises. Abe asked why he was doing this to Paulina. EJ said it was out of his hands right now. He said Lexie may be gone, but they were still family. Abe asked him to stop attacking Paulina. EJ said it wasn’t an attack and there was nothing he could do about it. Abe said he knew what kind of man he was. Chanel went to see Paulina. She told Paulina about the baby’s heartbeat being strong. After she talked to her about the baby, Chanel told her she was moving to Los Angeles. Paulina said it was an impulsive decision. Chanel said Paulina was the one who acted without thinking. Paulina apologized for what she said. She said she was sad to see Chanel leave. Chanel said she and the baby could be dead if it weren’t for her. She said the baby looks healthy now Paulina might have done a good thing. Chanel said it was time to forgive her. They talked things out. Paulina wanted to through her a going away party.

Kristen told Stefan that she was done helping him. She said she didn’t need his help anymore because she got the CEO job. Stefan wondered how she got the job when EJ was acting CEO. She said the board met in private and offered her the job. He said it was great because she could use the DiMera resources to help find evidence for Gabi. Kristen said she couldn’t do that. She said Mr. Shin would get rid of her if he found out she was using resources to free his son’s murderer. Kristen said she thought Gabi was innocent, but her hands were tied. She said Clyde would come through with evidence. Stefan said he won’t relax until Gabi is free. He said he was breaking Gabi out of prison. Stefan didn’t care if he had to risk his life as a fugitive as long as Gabi is free. Kristen said she had money and names and numbers in the safe in case of emergencies. She wanted him to consider that a going away gift for him and his wife. Johnny went to see Marlena to thank her for the advice. He said everything went great and he decided to take the job. Marlena said she was happy for him. Johnny said things weren’t good between Paulina and Chanel, but the good news was the baby’s heartbeat is strong. Marlena was happy for them. Johnny said he wasn’t sure if they should have had the baby at first, but he knows they made the right decision. Julie called Chad. He told her Clyde told him to check out a safe deposit box in Chicago. Clyde said the proof that Abby was alive was in the safe deposit box. When Chad came home, Julie told him she was going with him to Chicago. Chad said it might be dangerous, but Julie didn’t care. Julie said she could kill Clyde for what he did. Chad said it would be over soon. He said tomorrow they would open the safe deposit box and find out if Abby is alive.

Johnny talked to Chanel about his job offer. He said he had to give the director an answer by the next day. The job is in Los Angeles. Chanel said they didn’t give him enough time to give an answer. When he told her he knew about the job for weeks, she was upset that he didn’t tell her. She wondered if he was going to tell her when he was on the plane or turn it down without telling her. When he said he was trying to avoid her getting stressed, she didn’t believe him. She said they were supposed to be a team and wondered how he could keep her in the dark about it. He apologized to her. She was angry again when he said he talked to Marlena about it. He said Salem was their home and they built a life there. She said if he wanted to turn down the job he would have. He said he was conflicted about the job. She said if he wanted to take the job, she would make a life there too. He said he wasn’t sure if he could cut it there and his dream would be over. While he was talking, he said he couldn’t fail her and the baby. She said he wouldn’t fail, but he wouldn’t know unless he tried. They could always come back if things didn’t work out. She said she would follow him anywhere. They apologized to each other. At the pub, Roman told Kate that Eric moved back in. Kate was happy about it, but worried about Lucas. While she was talking, Lucas showed up. He apologized for not talking to her. The FBI wanted him to keep quiet until Clyde was back in Salem. Kate was upset but said he should be free since he did his end of the bargain. Lucas said he didn’t know what was going on with the deal. He said he was still a fugitive. When Kate tried to get him to leave, he said he didn’t want to go to the monastery. He said he would rather go back to prison. When Lucas left, Kate told Roman about Lucas going back to prison. She wanted to know if Roman would be upset about it. Roman said Lucas learned his lesson and it wouldn’t be right if Harris didn’t hold up his end of the bargain.

Chad told Julie about Clyde. He told her that Clyde said Abby was alive. Julie was happy about Abby being alive, but Chad thought it was a lie. He said a part of him hoped it was true. He said Abby came back before and Stefan was walking around with Jake’s heart. Julie asked if it was possible that Rolf brought Abby back to life. Chad said he wasn’t sure. He said he was going to go see Clyde. Chad didn’t want her to say anything to Jack and Jennifer, so they won’t get their hopes up. When Chad left, Lucas showed up. He told Julie he couldn’t go back to prison without seeing her. She asked him what he thought about Abby being alive. He said he wished it was true, but he didn’t know if it was possible. Rafe questioned Clyde at the police station. He asked Clyde where Li was. Clyde didn’t answer him. Rafe reminded Clyde that he broke Gabi’s leg in prison. Clyde still pretended not to know anything. Rafe said Clyde knew Gabi didn’t kill Li but knew who did. Clyde said he didn’t know Li and had no reason to know who killed him. Rafe brought up Gil and the black book. He wanted to know what Gil told Clyde about the murder. Clyde wanted to know what was in it for him. Rafe said he couldn’t promise him anything. Clyde said he needed to get something out of it if he told what Gil did. He reminded Rafe that he covered up for Hope years ago so he could help him. When Rafe left, Chad walked in. Chad told Clyde to start talking. He said he was with Abby the night she died and there was nothing Rolf could do to save her. Chad asked how Abby could be alive. Stefan told Kristen he was busting Gabi out of prison since no one could help him. Kristen said she couldn’t let that happen because he was supposed to help her become CEO. She said she did plenty to help Gabi so she couldn’t risk him not helping her. If he broke Gabi out of prison, Kristen threatened to expose that he slept with Ava. He said she promised to keep the secret. She told him she wasn’t at war with him, but he had to decide what side he’s on. Rafe showed up while they were talking and told them Clyde may know something, but he wasn’t talking. When Lucas went back to the pub, Roman told him he pulled some strings with the ISA. He said the deal was a go so Lucas was free. Chad threatened Clyde. Clyde said he would tell Chad the truth, but he had to help him. Chad wanted to know why he would go to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Clyde said he was going to tell him something big.

Eric went to the pub. He talked to Roman about Sloan’s disappearance. Roman couldn’t believe she got the jump on EJ. Eric said he was surprised to see EJ on the ground. Roman couldn’t believe Sloan took the baby. He told Eric things would get better. Roman asked Eric to move back in the pub so he could start over. Eric agreed to do it and left the pub. At the DiMera mansion, EJ read an article about Paulina. He insulted her to Jude. Chanel walked in while he was insulting Paulina. She said she wasn’t happy about the way he was trying to go after her mother. EJ said he was doing it because Paulina risked her and the baby’s lives. Chanel told him Paulina wouldn’t have risked their lives if she knew what would happen. When Chanel reminded EJ that Paulina fired him, she asked if he was really trying to protect his grandchild or get revenge. EJ said it wasn’t about revenge. Chanel said the tests say the baby is fine. When EJ said the tests could be wrong, she told him she was having the baby. When Chanel left, EJ talked to Jude about his true paternity and how it could cost him Nicole. Eric showed up at the mansion. EJ told him Nicole wasn’t there. Eric said he needed a lawyer to help him with his divorce from Sloan. He said he needed a lawyer who hated Sloan as much as he did. EJ agreed to help him. He said there was a way around needing Sloan to file for the divorce. EJ suggested they put something in the paper attempting to look for her. Eric said he wasn’t sure he would take the case.

Paulina talked to Abe about costing Chanel, Johnny, and the baby their lives. Abe told her their tests came out fine. Paulina was worried that the results could change. She said she and Chanel weren’t in a good place. Paulina said she would never forgive herself if something happened to Chanel and the baby. Abe got a call from a friend who told him people want Paulina to step down as mayor. He said there was an organization that wanted her to step down. Paulina said she was going to find out who was behind the organization. Johnny went to see Marlena to talk about his future. He told her about the job he was offered. In order for him to do the job, he had to move. He said Chanel didn’t know about the job offer and wasn’t sure if he should go for it. Johnny said he didn’t want Chanel to feel like she was sacrificing with the baby coming. Marlena asked how he thought Chanel would feel if she found out he turned down the job and never told her. She said it was up to Chanel to decide for herself. Johnny said he would talk to her. Marlena said she thought he should take the job even though she wanted him to stay in Salem. While they were talking, they talked about Eric, EJ, and Jude. Johnny said he felt bad for Eric but was happy for EJ and Nicole. He left for an appointment with Chanel. While Chanel was waiting for the doctor, Johnny showed up. She said she had an interesting talk with his father. When she told him what she and EJ talked about, Johnny was upset. She said she didn’t want him and his father to argue. When Johnny was about to tell Chanel about his job offer, the doctor walked in. They talked for a while.

Alex walked in on Theresa and Brady in bed together. Xander talked to Justin about Maggie and Konstantin’s wedding. Justin said he was officiating the wedding. Xander was surprised. Justin said the prenup will protect Maggie. Xander said a piece of paper wouldn’t put a stop to Konstantin. Bonnie and Sarah talked about Sarah’s wedding. Sarah said she knew Bonnie and Xander didn’t have the best relationship, but she wanted her to be there. Bonnie said she would be there. Sarah said she hoped Xander’s mother would be there too. She told Bonnie about Xander’s mother but was afraid to call her. Bonnie took the phone and called his mother. Steve talked to Ava about Clyde. John met with Konstantin at the Kiriakis mausoleum. Konstantin put the pawn card in front of John and handed him a gun. He told John to kill his wife. John said he knew what to do. He put the gun away. Maggie went to see Steve. She told him the money was Titan was transferred. Maggie said Konstantin thought he would get her money, but he would pay. John showed up and found out they had what they needed to get Konstantin arrested before the wedding. He said he was happy to hear that since Konstantin wanted him to kill Maggie when she married him. John said he taped the conversation, but he wasn’t sure if it was enough. Alex was upset to see Theresa in bed with Brady. When Alex was about to leave, Theresa told him to give her 30 minutes to an hour. Brady left the room. Theresa reminded Alex that he was with Kristen, so he didn’t have the right to be upset. Alex told her he and Kristen were over. He said Kristen made him see that he only wanted to be with Theresa. Theresa asked why he kept pushing her away. Alex said he had a feeling she was keeping something from him.

Konstantin went in the living room. Xander told him he wasn’t fit to marry Maggie. He said Konstantin was a big step down from Victor. Konstantin said he was in the dark about Victor. He said Victor hated Xander and thought he was nothing more than a gardener. Xander said that wasn’t true. Konstantin said Victor didn’t leave him anything in the will. Theresa told Alex that she wasn’t keeping anything from him. Alex said he believed her. He asked if she was going to keep seeing Brady. She thought about her conversation with Konstantin about scheming against Alex. Theresa told him she was with Brady to get back at him for being with Kristen. Alex said he understood why she did it. Theresa said she wanted to be with him. They decided to commit to each other. Alex left the room. Theresa said she had to do this if she wanted to be the Kiriakis heiress. Brady went back to Theresa’s room to find out if Alex was upset about her not wanting to be exclusive. Theresa told him she wanted a commitment with Alex. Brady was shocked and blamed himself for falling for her charms. She said it was best that they kept things simple for Tate and asked if they were cool. Brady said they were. He blamed himself for making the same mistake he swore he wouldn’t make. Brady left the room. Theresa told herself that she had to let him go. Sarah took the phone from Bonnie and left a message for Xander’s mother inviting her to the wedding. Everyone gathered in the living room for the wedding. Bonnie let Xander know that Sarah had to go to the hospital. She said they invited his mother to the wedding. He said he knew Sarah wanted it, but he was okay with never seeing her again. Justin told everyone to sit so the ceremony could begin. When Justin asked for the rings, he got an alert on his phone from Titan. He said money was missing from Victor’s trust which Konstantin was in charge of. Konstantin told Maggie that he was being framed. She said he was going to prison for embezzlement. When he realized Maggie and Justin were in on what happened he threatened to make them all pay. He took out the pawn card and told John to take out the gun. John took out the gun but raised it to Konstantin. Konstantin found out the original prenup was intact. Maggie yelled at him for taking advantage of her vulnerability over Victor’s death. Steve and John realized Konstantin was the one who had Victoria kidnapped. Xander threatened to kill Konstantin. Maggie wanted to know who was helping him. Theresa said it didn’t matter since he already admitted to what he did. Konstantin said they were all hypocrites. He said Victor wasn’t a saint and didn’t care that Catarina got caught in the crossfire of their war. Konstantin said he may not have been able to get revenge on them, but he did with Victor. He said he was caused Victor’s plane to crash.

Julie told Maggie that she didn’t want her to marry Konstantin. Maggie said the marriage was of convenience. Julie said she changed her mind because Konstantin must have hated Victor over his daughter’s death. Maggie said Konstantin wasn’t over his daughter’s death. Julie said she thought Konstantin was in Salem to get revenge and was going to use her to do it. Konstantin reminded Theresa about their plan of her marrying Alex. While they were talking, Konstantin reminded her that she was the one who wanted to change how Xander was Victor’s son. When they were talking, Brady showed up. Maggie told Julie that she understood her doubts, but Konstantin and Victor made amends. Julie didn’t believe they made amends. She couldn’t believe Maggie would be that naive to believe they made amends. When Maggie said she knew what she was doing, Julie wanted to know what she meant. Maggie didn’t tell her. Clyde told Chad he would be shooting an innocent man if he killed him. Harris told Chad not to let Clyde take him from his children. Chad said he would let Clyde live because he wanted to know how Abby was alive and where she was. Brady asked Theresa to tell him what she and Konstantin were talking about. When Theresa lied to him, Brady said he heard something about funds. Theresa and Konstantin talked about Maggie sharing Victor’s money. Konstantin left the room. Brady asked if Theresa had plans with Alex. Theresa said she didn’t because Alex planned to keep seeing Kristen.

Brady and Theresa talked about Alex and how he wanted to see Kristen. Theresa said she didn’t have to feel guilty about being with another man if Alex didn’t. Julie and Maggie talked about Chad risking his life to go after Clyde. While they were talking, Julie told Maggie about marrying Konstantin. Julie warned her to call off the wedding before it was too late. Konstantin showed up and wanted to know why Julie wanted Maggie to call off the wedding. Chad went to the motel and saw Lucas and Ava. When Ava left, Lucas wanted to know what was going on. Chad said Clyde said something about Abby. He said Clyde told him Abby was alive. Theresa kissed Brady. He wanted to know what she was doing. She told him Alex and Kristen were doing it so why couldn’t they do it. Theresa told him she wanted him. She wanted him to admit that he wanted her too. While Chad and Lucas were talking about Clyde’s claim that Abby was alive, Lucas thought Clyde was trying to save his neck by lying. Theresa tried to convince Brady to be with her. Ava showed up to check on Harris and Clyde. Harris told her Clyde was back in prison. Ava realized he was upset that she was going to kill Clyde. She said she wasn’t right, but she wasn’t going to apologize since he went after Tripp. Harris said she went too far. Ava wanted him to understand why she did what she did so they could get past it. Maggie told Julie that her marriage was none of her business. Konstantin said it was wrong to blame Victor for his daughter’s death. While he was talking, Konstantin told Maggie his Visa was expiring. He said he didn’t have a choice but to get married tomorrow. Julie told Maggie to think it through.

Nicole told Rafe that Sloan was at the mansion. She told him what happened between Sloan and EJ. When Rafe got off the phone, he called for an APB on Sloan. EJ went to Melinda to talk about Sloan. Ava put a gun on Clyde and was going to shoot him. Harris showed up to stop her, but she was determined to shoot Clyde. Nicole talked to Eric about Sloan taking her child for six months. She thought Sloan wanted her to get away with what she did. Eric told Nicole that Sloan wouldn’t get away with what she did. While they were talking, Nicole said Melinda was responsible. Eric was shocked that Melinda was in on it. Melinda asked EJ if Sloan was gone. She wanted to know why EJ was there since it didn’t have anything to do with her. EJ said with Sloan gone, Melinda was the only one who knew Jude was Eric’s son. Harris continued to talk Ava out of shooting Clyde, but Ava wanted to make him pay for what he did to her son. While Harris was talking to Ava, he convinced her to give him the gun. Harris put a gun to Clyde. Stefan ran into Rafe at the town square. He told Rafe that Melinda shut him down when he asked her about Gabi’s case. When Melinda pretended to not know that Jude was Eric’s son, EJ told her not to act like she didn’t know. EJ said he knew the truth. He wondered why she would risk her job to help Sloan. Melinda told him about Sloan’s miscarriage. She also told him about what happened to Sloan when the adoption fell through. Melinda explained why she helped Sloan with stealing Nicole’s baby. EJ didn’t care about her reason for helping Sloan. He ripped into Melinda for making Nicole suffer without her child. Melinda asked if Eric deserved to suffer. Nicole wondered why Melinda would risk her job to help Sloan. She said Melinda must have gotten something out of it. Eric didn’t know what Melinda gained by helping Sloan. Nicole told him she wasn’t the only one suffering. She told him that she thought about how she would handle Sloan. Nicole said her feelings weren’t a complicated as Eric’s since he loved her. Eric said it was hard to believe he ever loved Sloan.

Harris put handcuffs on Clyde. He told Ava to go back to the motel. When Ava left, Harris was about to arrest Clyde. Chad showed up with a gun. Harris tried to stop Chad from shooting Clyde, but Chad wanted to know the truth about Abby. Clyde told him he didn’t owe him anything. Chad asked if he intended to kill Abby. Stefan and Rafe talked about Melinda not helping Gabi. Rafe told Stefan that Melinda wouldn’t help him unless he helped her. Melinda called EJ out for keeping Eric from finding out the truth about Jude. She said he was keeping Eric in the dark because he thought he would keep Eric and Nicole from being together. EJ told Melinda that he and Nicole were a family. Melinda reminded EJ that he was going to let Sloan live a lie until he saw Eric and Nicole kiss. She ripped into him for not thinking about Jude. While she was talking, she told him about what she had to do for her daughter. Melinda asked if he thought about the fact that Jude was the son of a man he despised. She said Jude would look more like his real dad when he got older. Melinda wondered how EJ was going to raise Eric’s child. While Eric and Nicole talked about Jude’s name, he asked her to keep the name the same. Eric said he picked the name because of her. Nicole thought he picked the name because it was the baby he and Sloan lost. Eric said he was thinking of her when he named him. EJ told Melinda that the baby would want for nothing because he was a DiMera. Melinda said he would want the truth. EJ reminded her about keeping Nicole from her baby. He said if she kept her mouth shut, he would do the same. Stefan asked Rafe what kind of legal trouble Melinda was in. Rafe didn’t want to talk about it. Stefan wanted to know what the plan was. Rafe said they were going to do something. Stefan wanted to go to Paulina, but Rafe didn’t want to bother her with it. While they were talking, Stefan told him what Kristen wanted him to do to get Melinda to open the case. Rafe told him he appreciated what he was doing to keep Gabi safe. When Ava went back to the motel, Lucas told her that Goldman was arrested. Ava told him Harris showed up. Lucas brought up Chad and why he hated Clyde. Harris told Chad to let the police handle Clyde, but Chad didn’t want to. Chad asked if Clyde wanted to kill Belle. Clyde said he did. Chad said he was looking for Abby for investigating his drug cartel. He reminded Clyde that he stabbed Abby. Chad said she was alive the night he found her. He said he failed to protect her, but he could avenge her death. Melinda told EJ that she was motivated to keep quiet for now. She reminded him that he had to help her if she needed a favor. EJ said he would do whatever she wanted. Nicole told Eric he could spend as much time as he wanted with Jude. Eric said he didn’t think EJ would go for it. Stefan asked Rafe about the plan to get Gabi’s case open. Rafe said there was a lot of evidence against Clyde. He said it was likely that he knew Gil killed Li. Stefan wondered if Clyde would talk. Clyde told Chad Abby wasn’t killed over drug money. He said it was more than that. Clyde said Abby got more than she deserved. Chad said he shouldn’t have hesitated to put a bullet in his head. When Chad wanted to pull the trigger, Harris told him not to. Clyde told him to do it. Harris told Chad to think it through. Chad to Clyde that he would end him so no one would go through what he went through. Clyde told Chad he didn’t kill Abby.

Eric told Leo that he knew he was blackmailing Sloan over Jude. He asked Leo if he knew where Sloan was. Leo said he didn’t know where she was. When Eric continued to ask him about Sloan, Leo said he tried to do the right thing. Eric grabbed him and told him he would deal with him now that Sloan and the money are gone. Melinda told Sloan to stop calling her. She told Sloan that Rafe kept asking her questions, but he didn’t know anything. When Rafe came in her office, Melinda hung up the phone. Rafe told her he didn’t believe she didn’t know about Jude’s kidnapping when she helped Sloan with the adoption. Melinda said Sloan kept her out of the loop before everything was finalized. She asked what she would gain from helping Sloan steal a DiMera baby. When Rafe didn’t get the answers he wanted, he left. Melinda was relieved. EJ told Jude his paternity would be their little secret. Nicole walked in the room. EJ suggested they change the baby’s name since Sloan was the one who named him. Nicole hesitated before agreeing to do it. When EJ took the baby for a walk, Sloan came in the house to face Nicole. Stephanie went to see Marlena in her office. She told Marlena that she felt overwhelmed by Everett’s intervention. Marlena said she would be there if she or Jada needed anything.

Everett woke up from a dream of Stephanie walking in on him and Jada in the shower together. Jada and Stephanie showed up at Everett’s room. They told him that Marlena thought he had DID because of the abuse he suffered when he was young. Everett got upset at the accusation. Stephanie said she knew the situation was scary, but he shouldn’t keep his past buried. He told her to shut up. Bobby said Everett didn’t need to hear that. He said he was going to make sure of it. While EJ was out with Jude, he ran into Marlena. It was hard for Marlena to see the baby. EJ apologized to her. She said they were all victims. Marlena said she believed he and Nicole would be great parents to Jude. EJ thanked her. Sloan told Nicole that she needed to hear something. Nicole said she was going to call Rafe. Sloan told her she didn’t plan to kidnap Jude. She said Dimitri showed up with him as she hit rock bottom. Sloan said it felt like fate. Nicole said she would show her fate. She punched Sloan. Nicole ripped into Sloan because of what she put her through. Sloan reminded her that she did the same thing to Sami. She wanted Nicole to give her the same grace she was given. Nicole told her she would never do that. Leo tried to defend himself to Eric, but he grabbed him again. When Leo called out for help, Rafe showed up. Eric told him to get out of his sight. Leo walked away. Eric told Rafe that Leo wasn’t any help in finding Sloan. Rafe said they would find her. Eric said finding her wouldn’t make him a father. Rafe said bringing her in would help. He told Eric about his conversation with Melinda. Rafe told him Melinda said she wasn’t there for the adoption. Eric said Melinda handed them Jude at the door. Bobby called Jada his wife. He said they were good together. Jada told him he cheated on her. Bobby told Stephanie that the spoiled princess thing wasn’t his style. He said what he and Jada had was special and real. Jada asked if he was real. While they were talking, Bobby told them to get out. When he opened the door, Marlena was there. She said she wanted to help, but Bobby said he would make sure Everett was okay. He said there were things from Everett’s past that he didn’t need to know. Stephanie tried to reach out to Everett, but Bobby told him not to listen to her. He fell to the floor. Marlena checked on him. Bobby said they would never see Everett again. Marlena said his blood pressure was elevated and told him to get help. He agreed to get help. Leo went to Melinda’s office to get protection. She said she got Rafe off her back and could lead him down another path. Melinda said Sloan was the only person who could prove he was blackmailing her. Rafe showed up to arrest Melinda. Nicole pulled out her phone to call the police. When Sloan went to the door to leave, Eric was there.
