Ashland: Well, I’m not exactly strapped for cash, but, uh, that is a substantial amount of money.

Adam: It’s enough to go anywhere that is not Genoa City. You know, you could buy yourself a private island, buy a business, rebuild your empire. You could build a rocket and blast yourself into space. I don’t really care. But most importantly, you would get a drama-free exit with no questions asked.

Ashland: You make it sound like it’s a generous offer and that you care about your sister, but this is really all about your own self-interest, isn’t it?

Adam: [ Chuckles ] I have the family’s interest at heart.

Ashland: Yeah, but if you get me out of the picture, then you can set your sights on Victoria and you can make your move to be CEO of the company.

Lucy unwittingly gives Aiden the idea that he should contact a medium to get in touch with the ghost of Franco.

Elizabeth agrees to let Chase stay at her house and put-up motion sensitive cameras to see who has been doing all these weird things to her.

Alexis asks Nina if she is friends with Harmony and why Harmony feels she owes something to her. Nina tells Alexis that she and Harmony are not friends they know each other because of Willow and she has no idea why Harmony feels like she owes something to her.

Phyllis tells Carly she and Harmony worked together in New York.

Smoltz stops by Alexis office to tell her about the five part series exclusive Michael and Willow gave him about Nina and their battle to keep her from visiting Wiley. Nina refuses to give a comment to Smoltz for the story. Alexis agrees to run the series if he is fair and shows both sides of the story.

Nina gets into an argument with Michael and Willow about them using the press to get the public on their side before the visitation hearing. Nina tells Michael and Willow that if they want a battle they will get a battle.

Harmony meets with Brendan and gives him her life savings, one thousand dollars, and says she will pay him installments of money every month to keep her secret. Harmony tells Brendan that she will not ask Alexis or Nina for money. Brendan says he isn’t a bank and he tries to grab Harmony’s purse and syringe falls out because Harmony was planning to kill Brendan the same way she killed Neil. Brendan figures out that Harmony killed Neil by injecting him with heroin. Brendan turns around and starts to leave saying he is going to tell the police. Harmony pleads with Brendan to listen to her side of the story. Brendan says he understand she is a murderer and is going to the police. Harmony shouts she will not lose her daughter and she pushes Brendan so hard he falls.

Chase apologizes to Brook Lynn for not singing her song at the Deception IPO and for unintentionally hurting her feelings.

Brando tackles the robbers at Charlie’s Pub and then the police arrive to arrest the robbers. Sasha is so nervous that Brando put himself in danger that she almost takes a pill but then Nina arrives and Sasha hides the pills from Nina.

Brando tells Sonny that he has heard rumors that his business is weak and new people in the business think they have an opening to take over his territory. Sonny tells Brando that he is planning to show everyone he is still the boss.

Sam talks with Spinelli because she fears she may have ruined her relationship with Dante because he caught her trying to forward a confidential police file from his phone to her phone.

Cameron and Spencer have a heated argument and during the argument Spencer tells Cameron that he is only with Esme hoping she will let her guard down and he can find proof that she posted the video. Spencer makes Cameron promise not to tell Trina or Josslyn about his plan.

Sasha continues to put on a brave face and pretend she isn’t grieving the loss of baby Liam.

Sonny sells Charlie’s Pub to Phyllis for one hundred dollars.

Phyllis goes to the bank to make the nightly deposit accompanied by Sony’s bodyguard.

Sonny and Nina stay at the pub to close up and a thief comes in and tells Nina to give him all the money or he will shoot.

Cameron gets a call and is told he can’t be a counselor at Liam’s kids camp this summer because of the video. Cameron and Josslyn are determined to prove Trina’s innocence and Esme’s guilt.

Britt gets some matches from the Society Setups Matchmaking Service to see which one she liked best.

Esme tells Nikolas her parents gave her up for adoption when she was born and when her adoptive parents died her nanny Maggie took care of her until she was sent to boarding school. Esme also tells Nikolas her nanny Maggie got another job and they have not kept in touch. Esme goes to her room and reads a letter from her nanny Maggie advising her not to go to New York with Spencer because it is dangerous for her to be so close to her father.

Spencer talks to Trina at the gallery and thinks about telling her the truth that he is only pretending to believe Esme so he can get evidence that she posted the video of Cameron and Josslyn. Spencer decides not to tell Trina the truth and she is hurt that he believes Esme instead of her and screams at him to leave the gallery.

Ava tells Nikolas she cancelled the vow renewal ceremony.

Victor is extremely angry at Adam for not following the plan and offering Ashland an exorbitant amount of money to leave town. Victor makes it clear that Adam is never to do anything without discussing it with him first and then he tells him to go meet with Ashland.

Ashland tells Victoria that if the shoe were on the other foot and someone had accused her of faking an illness, he would forgive her because above all else, no matter how they started their relationship, they love each other.

Ashland wants to take Adam’s offer and make a fresh start and he asks Victoria to come with him.

Ashley, Billy, and Traci are shocked when Jack tells them Diane is alive and the details of how she faked her death. Jack wonders how he will find the words to tell Kyle and everyone worries about how Kyle will handle the news. Ashley, Billy, Jack, and Traci all agree that Diane can’t return to Genoa City.

Diane arrives in town and checks into the Grand Phoenix using her alias Diane Henson and Jack is unaware that she is in town. Ashland tells Adam he will think about his offer of 500 million dollars to leave town. Ashland talks to Victor later and asks him if Adam had his approval to offer him such a large amount of money to leave town. Victor has no idea about Adam’s offer to Ashland but he tells Ashland that he and Adam agreed on the amount of money and he wonders if Ashland will take the money and leave town. Victoria arrives at the office and Ashland tells her that Victor offered him a large amount of money to give up everything including her and leave town. Ashland asks Victoria if she thinks he should take the money and leave town.

Adam is hurt when Victor tells him that after they get Ashland out of the company, he will remain CEO of Newman Media and Victoria will remain CEO of Newman Enterprises. Sally tells Adam to focus on all the good things he has done at Newman Media and all the good things he has done for his family. Sally tells Adam to be patient and continue to turn his life around and he will get his chance to prove to his family that he has changed.

Adam and Nick worry that Victoria’s plan will fail because there are too many details that could go wrong.

Ashland tells Victoria that they should leave everything and start a new life somewhere else because he doesn’t want to force her to cross a line by planting evidence to prove Adam framed him. Nick also feels the same way as Ashland and tells Victoria that is why he never liked her plan.

Adam has an idea and tells Ashland that the Newman family has authorized him to offer him five hundred million dollars to leave Victoria alone, leave town, and start a new life.

Victoria: It took a little bit of finesse, but I was able to convince Ashland that i continue to support him. And that I agree that he has been set up. In our discussions, an idea struck me — that maybe Adam could have framed him. He had the wherewithal and he had the motive to try to push Ashland out and make me look incompetent and naive at the same time. Adam has the naked ambition and the animosity towards Ashland, a long history of deception, and even lying about his own health crisis once upon a time, that make him the perfect suspect.

Adam: Okay. So your plan is to remove Ashland from Newman/Locke by throwing me under the bus?

Victoria: It’s all for the good of the company. And —

Scotty asks Sonny to be a character witness for Nina but will Sonny side with Nina or Michael? Curtis agrees to be a character witness for Nina as she tries to get visitation rights with Wiley.

Harmony finally meets with the mystery person calling and texting her which turns out to be Neil’s brother Brenden. Brendan tells Harmony that she read Neil’s patient file on her. Brendan tells Harmony that he knows that Willow isn’t her daughter…that Willie’s real mother is Nina Reeves because Nina had twin girls and one was given to her and the other was put up for an illegal adoption. Brendan tells Harmony he wants money or he will tell Nina the truth.

Valentin puts the Ice Princess Diamond into Jennifer Smith’s hotel safe and close the safe before Jennifer catches him. Anna arrives with a WSB agent and they arrest Jennifer for stealing the Ice Princess Diamond and killing Luke. Jennifer insists the diamond was planted there by a French submarine captain. Anna and Felicia believe Jennifer’s story and set out to find the captain unaware that the captain is Valentin.

Victor tries to persuade Laura that all he cares about is his family. Smolz persuades Alexis to consider his next story idea by telling her he won’t sue her for stealing the revenge porn story from him. Smolz also agrees to drop the charges against Michael for punching him in the face because Michael is going to give him the exclusive story on why the Corinthians family are in conflict with Nina.

Nina tells Sonny she petitioned the court for visitation with Wiley and Michael and Willow will receive the official papers letting them know about the petition today. Sonny and Nina talk about the visitation situation with Wiley. Sonny is sure that Michael and Willow will see she is a good person. The long talk leads to several kisses between Sonny and Nina until Sonny is interrupted by a business call.

Harmony goes to a job interview with Carly at the Metro Court. Harmony tells Carly she tried to persuade Willow to let Nina see Wiley. Carly is impressed by Harmony’s honesty and a recommendation from Alexis. Carly tells Harmony to fill out an application online and she will find her a job at the Metro Court.

Aunt Stella is taken to the hospital, and after being examined, the doctor tells her she had a panic attack. Aunt Stella calls Marshall and tells him not to tell Curtis the truth about his past.

Valentin manages to charm Jennifer Smith and she takes him to her hotel room. Jennifer takes a, shower and Valentin breaks into her hotel room safe but she comes out of the shower and catches him with the safe open.

Lily persuades Billy to suppress his instinct to protect Victoria and not try to help her with the Ashland situation.

Victoria tells her family that her plan is to allow Ashland to plant evidence to make it seem like Adam framed him and planted evidence to make it look like Ashland was faking his illness. Adam persuades everyone that Victor should let him remain temporary CEO so that Victor can pretend to fire him once it is discovered that he “framed” Ashland. Michael tells everyone that once they can prove Ashland was involved in illegal activities, the Newman Locke board can fire him.

Adam gets an alert on his phone that someone has broken into his computer. Adam gives Ashland remote access to his computer so Ashland can plant the fake evidence against him. Adam heads for his office. when he arrives Sally is outside his office door and he tells her he wants to take her to lunch. Once Adam and Sally are alone he tells her the plan. Sally tells Adam that if his family doesn’t show him the respect he deserves there are several ways he could mess up Victoria’s plan.

Nick arrives and asks Adam to be the better man he claimed he wanted to be when he donated his kidney to Faith. Nick asks Adam to think of what is good for their family and go against his instinct of doing what will benefit him the most.

Chance finishes all the paperwork to rejoin the police department tomorrow. Chance admits to Rey that he feels like an outsider in Dominc’s life because Abby and Devon have a much stronger bond with him. Rey admits to Chance that he also feels like an outsider when he sees Sharon and Nick and their children together as a family.

Adam persuades Victor that they should combine the Newman Media and Locke Communications streaming platforms in order to compete with the bigger more well-known streaming platforms.

Victoria persuades Ashland that she believes he is innocent and she will not stop until she finds the proof that Adam framed him. Victoria calls Adam, Nick, Nikki, and Victor to her office and she gets ready to tell them her plan to take care of Ashland. Ashland breaks into Adam’s office puts some gloves on and gets ready to plant some evidence to make it look like Adam framed him.

Curtis and Portia have a housewarming party with just family and Drew. Aunt Stella wants Marshall to assure her that Curtis and T.J will find out that she knew he was alive all these years. Aunt Stella remembers taking Curtis and Jordan’s divorce papers and later she collapses shortly before taking a family picture.

Sonny and Salina Wu make a deal to let Salina start a gambling operation in Port Charles as long as the gambling isn’t a cover to bring drugs into Port Charles.

Dante and Sam tell Ana that Spinelli discovered that the ice princess diamond is being auctioned in French Polynesia. Ana uses the money Duke left her to get an invitation to the auction. Ana heads to French Polynesia unaware that Valentin is also there undercover.

Trina is hurt that Spencer doesn’t believe in her innocence but Portia tells her its part of growing up to learn that sometimes people you believe in don’t believe in you. Spencer asks Esme to stay with him and maybe if they take things slowly they can get their relationship back to where it used to be.

Ava tells Nikolas that they won’t be sleeping in the same bed while Esme is staying in the house but she will be staying at Wyndamere until he comes to his senses and throws Esme out of the house.

I enjoy watching mystery movies so when I saw the commercial for Lifetime’s movie Fallen Angels Murder Club Friends to Die For, I wanted to watch it. Friends to Die For is the first of two Lifetime movies based on the Fallen Angels Murder Club book series written by R. Franklin James.

I saw the first movie Friends to Die For starring Toni Braxton as Hollis Morgan an ex-convict trying to start a new life after serving time in jail for a crime she didn’t commit. Hollis joins a book club which is made up of other ex-convicts trying to restart their lives. This part of the movie was the most interesting to me… the close friendships that the book club forms with each other based on their shared experience of having spent time in jail and their love of reading murder mysteries. I won’t ruin the mystery for you it was a pretty good one. As always, the book club solves the mystery while the police can’t figure it out.

I liked this movie a lot, although with most mystery movies, I wish that the police were smarter but I am looking forward to watching the second movie Heroes and Felons airing on Lifetime on Saturday April 9, 2022.

I give the first movie Friends to Die For 4 out of 5 stars because it had some parts of it that were silly to me, but again this is my opinion and as I said I will be watching the second movie.

Esme takes the pregnancy test and finds out she isn’t pregnant.

Nicolas and Spencer tell Esme she can stay at Wyndamere because they know she still doesn’t feel safe.

Ava discusses divorcing Nikolas with Scott but he advises her to go home and fight for her marriage.

The Deception IPO launch party is a success although Lucy, Maxie, Sasha, and Brooke Lynn are not happy that Selina Wu is an investor in the company. The ladies, agree that since the company is now public anyone can invest in even alleged lady gangsters. Salina continues to pressure Curtis to let her have poker games in the back room of the Savoy and he continues to refuse her offer.

Brook Lynn and Austin agree to put their differences aside for Maxie’s sake.

Sasha takes another pill before she gets on stage to welcome everyone to the party.

Sonny tells Spencer that Esme is only using him and he should think very seriously about things before he makes a mistake.

Elizabeth has a dream of a shadowy figure who tells her “don’t forget me” and when she awakens she sees the words “don’t forget me” painted on a canvas and when she touches the canvas the paint is still fresh. Dante advises Elizabeth to find another place for her and the boys to stay. Elizabeth decides to send the boys to stay with Laura while she stays at home alone. Aiden tells Jake that Franco may be haunting the house.

Adam and Sally brainstorm to try and come up with a big idea that he can implement while he is temporary CEO of Newman Enterprises. Adam hopes that this big idea will prove to Victor that he should run Newman Enterprises instead of Victoria.

Victoria persuades Ashland that Adam was the person who framed him for faking his illness. Ashland decides to cancel the trip to Tuscany so he and Victoria can get evidence to prove that Adam is the person who framed him.

Phyllis arrives in Los Angeles, and Jack tells her Diane is alive. Phyllis is shocked and once she gets over the shock she persuades Jack to tell Kyle Phyllis is alive before Diane has a chance to blindside Kyle with the news. Jack decides to talk to Diane and buy some time until he has a chance to talk to Kyle. Jack and Phyllis head over to Diane’s house to talk to her and Phyllis still can’t belive what she is seeing when Diane opens the door.

Jack: Exactly. It is the one decent thing you did in this whole marvelous journey of self-discovery. Good for you. Congratulations. But we both know there’s more. What is it you want, Diane? Attention? Absolution? Money? All three? Just tell me what you’re after so we can be done with this.

Jack: You said yourself he’s a grown man. He has built a wonderful life with his family. You think I’m gonna let you destroy that? Poison his life in Italy? No. Never. So, you go back to your new and improved life. I’ll go back to Genoa City and forget this ever happened.

Diane: But you won’t. You can’t. That’s not the man you are, Jack. You love Kyle with your whole heart. And half of him is me.

Jack: He grieved, Diane.

Diane: [ Exhales sharply ]

Jack: Cried himself to sleep night after night. His mother died. She was killed. He was lost, confused. Heartbroken. He had his mother ripped from his life. I know this because I was there. I held him. I tried to comfort him by telling him it wouldn’t always hurt so much, that I would always be there to protect him. Why would I stop doing that now?!

Diane: Our son needs me in his life. He deserves his mother.

Jack: A real mother. Not you.
