At Alexis’ house, Alexis had quite a few of her clan gathered together, including Molly, T.J., Christina, Sam, Dante and Spencer. Spencer seemed slightly removed from the group both in proximity and in his state of mind. At one point, everyone went to replenish their drinks. Alexis took this opportunity to engage with  Spencer who had wandered over to the Christmas tree. Alexis asks him what was going on, because he seemed a million miles away. Spencer assured Alexis that he was having fun. Alexis pointed out that for a Cassadine, Spencer was a terrible liar. Reluctantly, Spencer admitted that he had a lot on his mind.

“Am I destined to be like my father?” Spencer asked. Alexis wanted to know what Nikolas had done, Spencer chose his words with the utmost care as he explained that he had discovered some things about Nikolas that Spencer feared would make him seem “bad by association.” Spencer assured Alexis that he wanted a life outside of his family — including Victor — but Spencer was unable to find a way out. “How do I escape my own family?” Spencer asked. “You can’t,” Alexis answered. “But, you can survive them,” she added.

“Okay. How?” Spencer asked. Alexis told Spencer that she and her daughters had chartered their own course and had their own lives. Alexis acknowledged that Victor had a special interest in Spencer, and she advised Spencer to exercise extreme caution because of that interest. “Because this band of psychopathic, murdering megalomaniacs are ours. They are our family and always will be,” Alexis said. “So, basically I’m doomed,” Spencer replied. Alexis smiled and urged Spencer to forge his own path. Do the things that made him happy, the things that made him feel alive. Alexis pointed to her daughters as she reminded Spencer that a person’s genetics don’t necessarily dictate their actions. “Find out what makes you feel good,” Alexis said. She encouraged him to figure out what made him happy and to let it be his guide. Alexis promised that there would come a day when he would be able to forget Victor and Nikolas and live his own life free of their influence.

Elsewhere at the party, Sam scolded Dante for checking his phone. Dante confessed that he had was worried about Cody spending Christmas alone. Sam suggested Dante invite Cody to the Gingerbread Jam at Rice Plaza. Dante asked Sam if he had mentioned that she was the greatest yet that day.  She responded by saying “a few times, but it never gets old.” Moments later, Dante received a text message. Sam grew concerned when she noticed his reaction. Dante assured Sam that the Hook hadn’t struck again, but he admitted that he had to leave for a short time to take care of something.

After Dante left, everyone returned to the living room with plates of pie. Spencer explained that he had to leave and he thanked Alexis for the talk.  It had clearly given him a lot to think about.

At Finn’s apartment, Gregory was so glad that he would be spending Christmas with both of his sons and his granddaughter. Chase admitted that he just didn’t feel into Christmas this year and he offered to leave so as not to be a downer on everyone else’s holiday. Gregory and Finn said absolutely not. When Gregory mentioned Chase canceling the performance at Rice Plaza, Chase accused Brook Lynn of putting herself first. Chase confessed that he had no regrets about backing out of the Gingerbread Jam and leaving Brook Lynn to deal with the fallout. Gregory asked Chase if the whole thing was about revenge. Gregory suggested that just because Brook Lynn hadn’t done the right thing didn’t mean that Chase should do the same thing. Gregory reminded Chase that Chase’s badge had been taken away, not Chase’s moral compass, so Gregory encouraged Chase to right a wrong. Before Chase could reply, there was a knock at the door. It was Dante. Dante explained that he had something to tell Chase and he didn’t think it could wait until after Christmas.

Chase stepped into the hallway for privacy. Dante told him that the review board had agreed to take another look at Chase’s case in the spring when the board reconvened. To Chase’s surprise, Dante credited Brook Lynn for the unprecedented decision. Dante told Chase that somehow Brook Lynn had found a way to get her letter to the board.  “Merry Christmas, partner,” Dante said as he departed to return to Alexis’.

Inside, Violet left the room to go to her bedroom. Gregory took an opportunity to tell Finn how proud he was that he hadn’t let the breakup with Elizabeth affect Violet’s holiday. Gregory told Finn that he didn’t mean to pry into his son’s personal relationship, but that he wanted Finn to know how much Violet cared for her Aunt Elizabeth. Finn admitted that Elizabeth would remain a part of Violet’s life but that he believed he had finally learned his lesson. He told his father that he was just not cut out for love and relationships and that he was going to throw himself into his work and give up on love. Gregory pointed out that he had been given Violet as the result of one of those relationships that he had dubbed as a failure.  He asked if Finn would change that. “Not for a minute,” Finn said. Gregory told Finn that he should probably not throw in the towel just yet.

When Chase reentered the apartment, Gregory and Finn asked why Dante had stopped by. “To deliver a Christmas miracle,” Chase said. Shortly after Chase left, and Gregory, Finn, and Violet settled on the sofa with hot chocolate. Finn handed his father a book, and Gregory began to read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.

At Alexis’ house, Sam opened the front door and happily welcomed Dante back. “There’s no place I’d rather be,” Dante said. On the sofa, Molly and T.J. shared a tender kiss.

At Curtis and Portia’s house, Curtis, Marshall, and Josslyn watched as Portia comforted her daughter. Trina pulled away from her mother and tearfully apologized for ruining everyone’s Christmas, but Josslyn insisted that Trina had nothing to be sorry for. Portia agreed, and she made it clear that she wanted Trina to set the tone for the holiday. Curtis reminded Trina that the holidays were all about family. Trina admitted that she was both sad and scared, but she was also grateful to have her family.

Later, Marshall helped Portia set out snacks. Curtis said that he wanted to celebrate the first Christmas in his new home with Portia. He also pointed out that it was his first Christmas with Marshall in a very long time. Curtis handed gifts to both Portia and Marshall. Portia received a gift card to the Metro Court for a spa day, which she loved. Marshall’s gift was impressed by the music collection that he said was like stepping into a “time machine.”

Trina and Josslyn sat in front of the fireplace as Trina expressed concern about the traffic to Rice Plaza. Josslyn promised to take the back roads. Trina opened up to Josslyn about her feelings surrounding Rory’s death and she admitted that Rory might have ended things with her anyway, but now she would never know.  Trina blamed herself for Rory’s death which Josslyn immediately said was not her fault in any way.  Trina said that if she had not become involved with Rory then he would never have gone to that apartment to try and apprehend the Hook killer.  Josslyn made it clear that the only person responsible for Rory’s death was “the monster who killed him.”

Marshall returned the gift-giving sentiment with Curtis, by giving him a special gift. It was a photograph of Marshall, his wife, Thomas, Curtis, and Stella taken during Curtis’ first Christmas. Marshall explained that the picture had always been a family favorite because Stella was a blur in the photograph because she had not allowed enough delay on the timer to capture the image appropriately. Curtis wished his father a merry Christmas.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Ned, Olivia, Michael, and Willow were seated in the living room as they watched Leo and Wiley each open a gift. Drew and Carly stood nearby. Later, Brook Lynn entered the living room. Brook Lynn was surprised that they had decided to open presents, but Olivia explained that the boys had been given only one gift each to open.

Meanwhile, Michael and Willow sat on the floor with Wiley and told him that he would be getting a baby sister. “I can’t wait,” Wiley said.

At the patio doors, Drew and Carly chatted. Carly was very happy to have time to spend with Michael, Willow and Wiley. The conversation turned to Willow when Carly expressed concern about Willow’s pale complexion. Carly worried that the pregnancy was difficult on Willow. Drew agreed, and he admitted that the news that Denise had shared with them didn’t help matters any.

Drew made it clear that he was determined to find Willow’s birth parents. “You are a man on a mission,” Carly said. Carly advised caution before they offer any more theories to Willow and was concerned how coming up empty handed would affect her pregnancy.  Carly, with an obvious agenda, believed they should keep all information to themselves until it could be confirmed.

In the living room, Michael assured Willow that they would spend many more Christmases together. Willow smiled as Michael wrapped his arms around her and Wiley. A short time later, Carly said her goodbyes to everyone, and Drew walked her out. The minute they were alone on the front steps, Drew pulled Carly into his arms for a kiss. Afterwards, he surprised Carly with a gift. A Jacksonville, Florida keychain.

Carly loved the key chain, and she thanked Drew. However, she was curious about the key attached to it. Drew told her that she would find out soon what the key was all about. He went to kiss her again, but Carly playfully pulled away. “Merry Christmas,” Carly said. Drew smiled as she walked away.

On the way to Rice Plaza, Josslyn jerked the steering wheel of her car as another car blared its horn at her. After rebounding from that, she was blinded by oncoming headlights and she slammed on the brakes.

Update written by Dustin

At Carly’s house, Dex and Josslyn continued to talk. Cameron texted Josslyn to ask if she was okay. Josslyn ignored the text. Dex apologized for causing problems in their relationship. Josslyn asked what Dex had to be sorry about. She said that she was the problem in her relationship with Cameron, and that she should have already spoken to Cameron about her feelings. Before Dex left, he asked if Josslyn was sorry that they had kissed. She looked at him and smiled, choosing not to answer. “Yeah, me, neither,” Dex said.

At Volonino’s Gym, Sam told Cody that Dante hadn’t come home the previous night. She told Cody that she had communicated with him via text, but that she was concerned about Dante and how he was dealing with Rory’s death, since Dante had been the first person on the scene.

At General Hospital, Mac told Dante that an autopsy report had confirmed that venom had been found in Rory’s bloodstream. Dante said, “So, it’s official.  We have a serial killer on our hands.”

Mac’s phone rang and he was surprised to see that it was Cody.  Cody told Mac that he was with Sam and that she was concerned about how Dante was doing. He asked if Mac knew where Dante was.  Mac said that he was standing right next to him and the two cooked up a plan to get Dante to the gym.

Later, Mac and Dante appeared at the gym, and Dante quickly deduced that Mac and Cody had teamed up to get Dante to the gym. Mac thanked Cody for having helped reunite Dante with Sam. Cody asked how Mac was doing in the aftermath of Rory’s death. Mac said that it was always difficult to lose a brother in the line of duty.  Mac started to leave and Cody said that he wouldn’t bother him anymore and offered to delete Mac’s information from his phone. Mac encouraged Cody to keep his number and to call if Cody ever needed him.

At Charlie’s Pub, Drew confronted Denise about the lies Denise had told regarding the identity of Willow’s birth mother. The whole conversation got very heated and Denise got up to leave, but Carly intervened. Carly made excuses for why Denise had lied. Denise said that the truth is that Harmony, or “Lorraine,” had already had the baby when Harmony had joined the commune years earlier and that Denise had no idea who Willow’s birth mother or father were. Drew wanted to know if that was the case then why had Denise lied in the first place. Denise said that Harmony had been her friend and she was just trying to defend her and her baby from whatever had caused her to run.  Drew questioned what she meant by that statement.  Denise said that Harmony was very jittery and always seemed fearful of something or someone.  This story seemed to match up with the account that Phyllis had given Drew and Alexis previously.  Denise said she did not believe he should continue to investigate Harmony’s past because doing so could expose Willow to the same threat that had made Harmony so fearful.  On her way out of the pub, Denise left a pair of gloves on the table. Carly rushed to return the gloves to Denise outside the pub. Carly handed Denise the gloves, along with a cash payment for Denise’s story.

“Question: were you telling the truth to Drew? Was Lorraine really running from someone?” Carly asked. “She was jumpy around strangers. Always seemed to be looking over her shoulder,” Denise replied.

Also at Charlie’s Pub, Phyllis listened to Nina’s latest drama. Nina recalled that she had gotten into a verbal spat with Willow and Willow had become so upset that she had passed out. Nina told Phyllis that she hoped everything would be okay and that she had no idea that Willow was having such a difficult pregnancy.

Drew approached Phyllis. Drew asked if Phyllis had ever known Harmony to talk about a baby when Phyllis had known Harmony in New York. “Not that I recall,” Phyllis answered.

Carly came back inside from her conversation with Denise. Drew wondered if Harmony had stolen Willow from Willow’s real parents. Drew said now that they knew the story about Willow’s birth mother having died from an overdose was a lie that meant that someone, somewhere was wondering what happened to their little girl.

In the chapel at the hospital, Ava asked Elizabeth how she dared even enter a chapel.  “Aren’t you scared of being struck by lightning?” Ava said.  She promised that Elizabeth and Nikolas didn’t know the meaning of the word pain, but that they  would both be sorry.  Not only will you lose everything you cost me, but by the time I am done, you will have lost so much more,” Ava threatened.

Elizabeth largely stayed quiet as Ava hurled insult after insult until finally Elizabeth had enough.  “Oh, my God, Ava! Shut up! Not everything is about you!” Elizabeth snapped.

Ava mentioned that Nikolas had slept with Esme months earlier, and she was surprised when she discovered that Elizabeth already knew about it. Ava then brought up the baby Elizabeth was carrying. “There’s not going to be a baby!” Elizabeth replied. Elizabeth said that she had miscarried and that Nikolas didn’t know yet. Ava showed no remorse, and in the most cold way possible, she said that she was “sorry” for Elizabeth’s loss. On her way out of the chapel, Ava told Elizabeth not to expect any sympathy from Nikolas, because he only cared for himself and had no regard for others.

After Ava had left, Elizabeth remained in the chapel. She stared at the cross and spoke to herself. “What am I doing?  If the truth is supposed to set me free, then how come it feels like a stone around my neck? But I guess it’s not the truth that’s the problem, is it? Nope. It’s me and the choices I’ve made.” Elizabeth said she had torn her life down over the past few months, piece by piece.  “I lost Finn. I’m helping Nikolas hold a pregnant woman captive because I thought I was keeping everybody else from getting hurt. But now that cop is dead, and I know it can’t be Esme who’s the killer. This isn’t me. I’m a good person, aren’t I?” Elizabeth asked. Elizabeth paused. “Aren’t I?” she asked again.

At Wyndemere, Spencer walked into the living room where Nikolas was sitting. Nikolas told Spencer that they needed to talk. Nikolas recalled having served Ava with divorce papers. Spencer said that he guessed that meant that a reconciliation was right around the corner. Nikolas told Spencer that he had been unfaithful to Ava and there would be no reconciliation. Spencer assumed that Nikolas had been referring to the affair with Esme, and he was shocked to learn that Nikolas was admitting to a separate affair.  Spencer was outraged when Nikolas admitted that it had been Elizabeth.  He said that Elizabeth was practically family and he recalled Elizabeth’s stint in Shady Brook months earlier because she had been taking sleeping pills that altered her memory.  Spencer implied that Nikolas had taken advantage of her and her situation and asked how he would ever be able to face his friend Cameron again.  Spencer called Nikolas disgusting and said that their relationship was through. Spencer said that there was one “positive” thing that would come out of all of this.  He said that he was now determined to be a better man and a better father than Nikolas.

Nikolas told Spencer that he loved him and said that he was already a better man. Spencer left the room.

Nikolas’ phone rang. It was Elizabeth.  She informed Nikolas about her confrontation with Ava and that she had told Ava she had suffered a miscarriage.  She was relieved that she would no longer have to pretend to be pregnant.  “Now I just have to fix all the other mistakes I’ve made,” Elizabeth told Nikolas. “I know this is hard, but we made our choices. There’s no going back,” Nikolas told his best friend.

Later, in the alley behind Charlie’s Pub, Ava told Nina about having confronted Elizabeth. Nina (with great irony) said that she absolutely hated Elizabeth for what she had done. Ava admitted that she actually felt sympathy for both Elizabeth and Nikolas.  She said that she just didn’t believe she could go after them after they had just lost a child, throwing her plans for revenge for both of them up in the air.

Update written by Dustin

At Volonino’s gym, Chase worked until Brook Lynn showed up. Chase complained to Brook Lynn that his singing career (which has pointedly told her–he doesn’t want) is all she ever wants to talk about.  He mentioned Rory’s death and how he hadn’t been there on the force to show Rory the ropes because of her fantasy of him being a singer.  Brook Lynn admitted that she had written the letter, but that it had been too little, too late.  Chase said that he wasn’t giving up on his career.  Brook Lynn said that he should do the single with Blaze and use the money to finance his efforts to get his badge back. Chase told her that if he needed extra money he would work extra shifts at a regular job.  He told her that they needed space.  Brook Lynn said that she would draw up the paperwork to end their relationship as client and manager and Chase told her to send it certified, they had no reason to see each other again.

Sonny and Nina called out Ava’s name as they rushed into the art gallery, followed by Dex. They were concerned that her door had been unlocked, and Nina wondered where Ava had been the previous evening. Nina said that she had even called Nikolas to see if Ava was at Wyndemere.  Ava admitted that she had stayed at the gallery all night and that Wyndemere was no longer her home. Sonny departed as Nina and Ava continued their conversation.  On their way out, Dex asked if he should arrange protection for Ava, but Sonny said no because issues with Nikolas would take precedence.

Ava claimed that she had been doing paperwork through the night, which had created a sore neck. Nina noticed there was broken glass all over the floor and she helped to clean things up. Nina asked about Nikolas. Ava revealed that Nikolas had served her with divorce papers, and Nina was shocked because she was sure that Ava and Nikolas were on the road to reconciliation. Ava disclosed that Nikolas had not only slept with Elizabeth, but Elizabeth was also pregnant. Nina was floored.

Ava vowed to shed no more tears for Nikolas and that she fully intended to take Nikolas for everything he was worth, thanks to Victor, who wanted to keep family skeletons in the closet. Nina asked Ava if she had lost her mind.  “You do not want to attempt to extort a member of that family,” she said.  But, Ava was undeterred.  She was focused on the task at hand and said that she was leaving to go to the pharmacy to get something for her sore neck.

Josslyn finished her daily run to find Carly just finishing up a phone conversation with Jax. Carly told Josslyn that Jax wanted her to come to Australia.  He thought it was important for her to get out of Port Charles with The Hook still on the loose. Josslyn said that she couldn’t walk out on her life. Carly was concerned about Josslyn’s safety, and she wanted Josslyn to be careful. She gave Josslyn strict orders to remain on the grounds, along with several other rules. She was also worried about Josslyn’s association with Dex.

Carly said that she had faith in Josslyn and that she would always be in her corner. She knew that Josslyn was aware of what life would be like with Dex because of Carly’s relationships with Jason and Sonny. Josslyn apologized for calling Jason an idiot for working for Sonny.  She also told Carly that after what happened the previous night with Spencer that she believed Dex would no longer be an issue.  Carly was shocked to hear that Spencer had been released from Pentonville early.  Josslyn filled her in on Spencer’s release and what had happened at Kelly’s.  The doorbell rang and Carly answered it.  It was Sonny and Dex. Sonny said that he wanted to assign protection to Josslyn and Carly was in full support of that idea.  Carly said that she and Josslyn had a lunch date with Michael and Willow.  Josslyn said she had decided to skip lunch and Sonny asked Dex to stay with Josslyn until he could get someone else as her full time protection.  He told Carly to give Michael and Willow his best wishes.

Outside Carly’s house, Sonny asked his man to send a gender neutral gift to Michael and Willow without a card. Inside the house, Dex thanked Carly for her assistance when he was wounded, and he promised to keep an eye on Josslyn until the new guard arrived. “That’s what I’m afraid of,” Carly remarked as she departed. Josslyn wanted Dex to leave, but he exclaimed that he had his orders. “It’s clear where we stand,” Josslyn insisted. “Aren’t you tired of pretending?” Dex replied. He told her that it was okay to be scared, even though he knew she was tough. He added that she was safe with him. Josslyn began to cry and ran into his arms.

At General Hospital, Michael and Willow were ready for Dr. Navarro to do an ultrasound.  There was some trepidation at whether or not they should find out the sex of the baby and they went back and forth discussing the issue. But, in the end, Willow said go ahead with her ultrasound, since she’d promised to disclose the baby’s gender at lunch.

Dr. Navarro was called to the room and performed the ultrasound. She announced that everything looked good, and they listened to the baby’s heartbeat. She showed Michael and Willow the screen and revealed that they were going to have a baby girl.

Nikolas found Elizabeth at the nurses’ station and demanded they talk. Elizabeth said that she was working and Nikolas insisted that he would wait.  Elizabeth told him that he would have a long wait because she had just started her shift. Nikolas wanted to know if Elizabeth intended to tell the police about his holding Esme against her will. Elizabeth finally agreed to walk to the chapel once she saw that the conversation was going to get incredibly personal.

Elizabeth said that she had only gone along with Nikolas’ plans because they had thought that Esme was The Hook killer. Elizabeth thought she was in too deep and worried that she would be charged as an accomplice. She said she felt trapped. Nikolas suggested that he hire someone else to take over as Esme’s  nurse. Elizabeth said that it wouldn’t matter. Esme would talk, and Elizabeth’s career would be over, even if she escaped jail time. Elizabeth saw no other option but to continue on as Esme’s nurse.  Elizabeth said that they would have to deal with all of the people they had hurt as part of their scheming and that things were about to get very difficult. Nikolas apologized and left, and soon after, Elizabeth headed to the door and found Ava standing in the doorway. “Going somewhere?” Ava asked before adding, “I don’t think so.”

Drew and Alexis met at Charlie’s Pub and sat at a table. Alexis announced that she had done some “digging” for him regarding Willow’s search for her mother and she had discovered after speaking with a local reporter that there was no Joan at the commune and there were certainly no heroin-related deaths in that county. Alexis and Drew were able to surmise from the available information that Denise had falsified the information she had funneled to Drew.

Drew flashed back to Carly saying that Harmony had told her that Nina was Willow’s mother, and Alexis noted that she was glad to have verified the information and uncovered the lies. Alexis added that Harmony had been quite the liar herself. Drew agreed that Harmony had definitely told lies, and Phyllis overheard them as she came to offer a refill on their coffee.

Phyllis asked about the investigation and noted that Harmony (or Lorraine as she had known her) had always kept secrets. Phyllis recalled the day she had run into Harmony at Charlie’s pub and said that the way she spoke to her seemed as though she were trying to rewrite history. She went off to see other customers, and Drew said that he wanted to question Denise again because everything she had told him seemed to be a lie.  Just as Drew made the statement about Denise’s lies, Carly walked in and overheard him.  She looked shocked and realized that Drew was on to the campaign of lies that she had set into motion.

Update written by Dustin

At Sonny’s penthouse, Nina found a crayon drawing stuffed in the cushions of the couch with the word “MOMMY” written on it.. Sonny came in, and he said that he was glad that Donna and Nina had started to grow close. Nina recalled that Josslyn had stopped by to point out that  Nina was not allowed to spend time with Donna. Nina wondered if spending time with Donna was worth it.

Nina shared that because Nelle had been taken away from her at birth, she had a hole in her heart that she would always try to heal. She said that the more time she spent with Donna the more she was afraid that she was opening her heart to  heartbreak at a later date. Sonny understood, but he didn’t think she had anything to worry about. Nina still insisted that she should keep her distance from Donna. Sonny agreed to Nina’s new terms (despite how much grief he had been put through getting Carly to agree to allow Nina to see Donna in the first place), but he said there was nothing he would like more than for Nina to have a close relationship with Donna.

In a private room of Metro Court, Denise told Carly that Drew no longer had a reason to search for Willow’s birth mother. Carly asked about Willow’s biological father. Denise remarked that the check Carly had given her would only cover one deceased parent and that information on Willow’s father would cost Carly more.

Denise threatened to expose Carly for the lies she had told Drew and Willow. Carly was disgusted, but needed the information so she gave Denise another check. She told Denise that she was an awful person. “It could be worse. I could be paying someone to lie about someone else’s parents being dead. At least I own who I am and what I’m doing. Trust me, your life would be a lot easier if you looked in the mirror and did the same,” Denise told Carly.

At the Metro Court restaurant, Drew shared with Willow’s biological mother had died. Drew encouraged Willow not to give up hope. An upset Willow left to go for some air. Outside on the patio, Willow struggled to control her emotions. Drew found Willow, and he realized she was in tears.  It was at that moment, that Drew connected all the times that Willow had looked pale, when she had passed out, when she had felt faint, when she said she was “just tired.”  “Oh, my God.  You’re sick, aren’t you? He asked.

Willow shared that she had Stage 4 leukemia, and she added that she didn’t know how much time she had unless she could find a family member for a bone marrow donation. Drew hugged Willow and did his best to consoler her.

Willow said that although she was receiving chemotherapy, it wasn’t enough. Drew was sympathetic, and Willow asked Drew to promise that he wouldn’t tell anyone that Willow was sick. “Not even Carly,” Willow emphasized.

Carly told Willow she was sorry that her birth mother was dead. She said that Willow had all the family she needed in Port Charles. Willow thanked Drew, and she left. Afterwards, Carly remarked that she hadn’t realized how important it was for Willow to find her birth parents. “Neither did I,” Drew replied.

At Charlie’s Pub, Alexis and Gregory shared cocktails before Finn arrived at the bar. Alexis asked Gregory to give her a chance to talk privately to Finn, and Gregory agreed. Finn then told Alexis that things between him and Elizabeth were over.

Finn left the pub, and afterwards, Gregory said that his family was in Alexis’ debt. Later, outside Charlie’s, Ava encountered Finn. Ava asked what was on Finn’s mind. He totally ignored her and walked away.

At Wyndemere, Ava wanted to discuss her marriage to Nikolas. Nikolas said that while he wanted Ava to move back in, the timing was wrong because Spencer had just moved back in, as well. Ava said she hoped Nikolas would “press pause” on their plans for divorce. Elizabeth arrived in the foyer.

A surprised Ava wanted to learn from Nikolas why Elizabeth was at Wyndemere and why she had her own set of keys to the castle. Elizabeth made up an excuse about Nikolas having volunteered his family’s history for a school project that Aiden was working on. Ava bid Nikolas goodnight, and she left.

Alone in the living room, Nikolas shared that he and Elizabeth would have to be careful because Spencer had moved back into the mansion. Elizabeth replied that that wasn’t their only concern, and she handed Nikolas the bottle of prenatal vitamins. “Congratulations! You’re gonna be a father again… to my child,” Elizabeth said with a smile.

Elizabeth called her ridiculous plan to tell Finn that the prenatal vitamins he had found at GH and Wyndemere were hers.  She wanted to tell Finn the truth but Nikolas told her that if she did, Finn would send the cops to Spoon Island and she and Nikolas would likely go down for the false imprisonment of Esme.  He warned that this could mean she would be required to serve time away from her boys. Elizabeth couldn’t believe that she had become the kind of person that would go along with Nikolas’ plan.  Nikolas said that sometimes you had to do deplorable things because they were in the interest of the greater good.  Elizabeth said that if that were true that he must sacrifice his relationship with Ava, so that he could concentrate on the task at hand; keeping Esme off the streets.

Update written by Dustin

Sam met Maxie at the café, and Sam questioned Maxie on why they were meeting.  Maxie mentioned that she thought that Sam would be the best possible person to provide her with some well-needed perspective on her current situation. She told Sam about what had transpired between Austin and Spinelli. The lying, the blackmail, the ordering of her and Austin’s compatibility report behind her back and Spinelli’s constant interference in her relationship with Austin. Maxie mentioned that she had trusted Austin when they first met but that trust had faded. Maxie confessed that perhaps Spinelli and Georgie had been right from the beginning and she should have trusted their intuition.  Sam advised Maxie to reassess her entire situation using her own intuition and then proceed accordingly.

Nikolas arrived at the gallery, startling Ava. He told her that he would always love her, and she replied wistfully, “If only that was all it took to fix things.” She invited him to join her for takeout, but he said he would not be staying. He admitted that he was only there to make a special delivery. He handed her an incredibly thick group of papers and a pen. Ava looked at the papers and all the happiness drained for her face.  “Divorce papers?” she snapped.  She believed that something had driven him to go ahead with the divorce and Victor was first in line. After some badgering, he blurted out that he’d had an affair with Elizabeth.

Ava wanted details of the affair, but Nikolas would only tell her that Elizabeth was pregnant. He was determined not to fail another child. He advised her to look at the very generous offer. Ava saw a letter opener on the table and picked it up. She swung at him, but only pinned the papers to the wall. “That’s what I think of your offer,” she murmured. “You could have killed me!” he exclaimed. “Remember that,” she shot back. He apologized, as he’d never wanted to hurt her. “God have mercy on you because you’ll get none from me,” she said coldly, and he left.

Josslyn arrived at Kelly’s with an armful of toys for donation, and Dex offered to help her, but she insisted that she could do it herself. With Spencer acting incredibly rude toward Dex, Dex asked Cameron to cancel his order, and said that he would gladly go to another restaurant. Cameron said that was fine, but Spencer demanded that Dex pay for his order. Dex smugly took out a roll of                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     cash and told Spencer that Sonny paid him well. Spencer punched Dex, who fell on the floor. Dex popped back up, and Spencer dared Dex to punch him.

Cameron separated Spencer and Dex, and Josslyn couldn’t believe that Spencer was already causing problems, freshly out of prison. Spencer explained that Cameron had told him that Dex had put Josslyn in danger, and he yelled at Dex to leave. Josslyn assured Dex that he didn’t have to listen to Spencer. “You have no clue what I do or don’t have to do,” Dex responded, and he left Kelly’s. Cameron didn’t want Spencer to hurt people because of anything he had said. Spencer believed that the attitude of his group of friends had changed in his absence, and he said he didn’t believe he was no longer wanted or needed.  Spencer then stormed out. Cameron suggested that, with all the craziness around them, he and Josslyn go somewhere nice, just the two of them. Josslyn said that sounded really nice but they needed to talk first.

Rory arrived outside at the address of an apartment that he had gained knowledge of by improperly looking through Dante’s filed. He knocked. The door opened when he knocked, so he announced himself and went in. The door slammed shut behind him, and the Hook appeared. From outside the apartment, Dante heard gunshots and called for backup. He announced himself and kicked in the door to the apartment. He found a man bleeding on the floor and checked for a pulse. Just then, Rory emerged, bleeding, from another room. He fell onto the couch and told Dante it had been, “The Hook.”

Trina entered Jordan’s office and asked if she’d seen Rory. Jordan informed Trina that Rory was probably around the station somewhere, as his shift had just ended. Jordan advised Trina to stick around because Rory would love to see Trina. “Not for long,” Trina muttered. She excused herself to go to Kelly’s, and she left. A few minutes later, Jordan’s phone rang, and she learned of Dante’s call for backup.

Jordan arrived at the apartment which was now an official crime scene.  The suspect lay on the floor with what appeared to be at least one gunshot wound to the chest. Dante explained that he had to have just missed the killer, and the woman they suspected could have jumped out the window. Jordan advised an officer to set up a 10 block perimeter to look for the killer. Jordan didn’t think Rory could wait for the ambulance, so Dante and the other officer carried Rory out of the apartment. Jordan put in a call for the medical examiner and crime scene unit to get to the apartment.

At General Hospital, Portia showed Elizabeth some of her options for wedding dresses. However, Portia was unsure about getting married in February, when “the Hook” killer was still on the loose. Elizabeth thought it would give everyone in Port Charles something nice to look forward to. Portia reminded Elizabeth that she and Finn hadn’t yet RSVP’d. Elizabeth said that she would definitely be there, but she couldn’t speak for Finn, as they had ended their relationship.

Gregory ran into Finn at the elevators on the 10th floor of General Hospital, he insisted on taking him to dinner. He knew that Finn hadn’t been doing well, and he told Finn that Violet had also picked up on it. Finn admitted that he and Elizabeth were through. Gregory wondered if Finn wanted to salvage the relationship, but the conversation was interrupted.

Jordan arrived with Rory, Dante, and the other officers, and Portia, Finn, and Elizabeth got Rory onto a stretcher. Dante revealed that they’d need the antivenom, as Rory had been attacked by the Hook.

At Volonino’s gym, Curtis helped Alexis out with the punching bag. He explained that they needed to “establish a winning mindset” before they tried to catch a serial killer. A short while later, Alexis emerged from the locker room after having changed. Curtis told her that the PCPD had been “tight-lipped” with any information about “the Hook” killer, and Alexis wasn’t sure what else they could do.

Dex arrived at the gym, and thought about Josslyn as he beat up the punching bag. Curtis returned a short while later and eyed Dex, deeming him far enough away to talk to Alexis. As Curtis explained that Ryan didn’t think that Esme was the killer, his phone rang, Jordan asked Curtis to pick up Trina and bring her immediately to the GH, as there had been another attack. While he talked to Jordan, Alexis got a text from Gregory that read, “911 at GH.” They ran out, Dex thought about Josslyn more as he worked over the punching bag.

Spencer ran into Trina as he exited Kelly’s. He sarcastically talked about how he wasn’t supposed to stick up for anyone anymore. Whatever he’d done, Trina said she was sure that his heart had been in the right place, and he probably just needed to work on his execution. He figured he could do that the next time he was in town. He revealed that he was leaving as soon as the terms of his prison release were met, as Port Charles was no longer a home. He said, “I’m going to move on, and I’m going to disappoint strangers” instead of the people he loved.

Curtis arrived with news for Trina that he said Cameron and Josslyn needed to hear, also. The three went into Kelly’s, and Curtis informed the kids that they needed to go with him to the hospital immediately, on Jordan’s orders, as she wanted eyes on all four of them. He revealed that there had been another attack. Trina asked who had been attacked, and Curtis reluctantly answered that it was Rory.

At the hospital, Alexis asked Dante if the Hook killer had struck again. Jordan ordered Dante to go get cleaned up, so he left. Jordan stated that an officer was fighting for his life after a cowardly and brutal attack, and she would do anything she could for justice. “I’ll be damned if we lose another one of our own, and you can quote me on that,” she added, and she walked away.

In the operating room, Finn, Portia, and Elizabeth worked on Rory. Finn ordered Elizabeth to administer the antivenom, but she reminded him that it was in short supply. Finn replied that the poison would kill Rory if the injuries didn’t, so she injected the antivenom into the I.V.

Jordan informed Dante that Mac was at the apartment, and Dante offered to see if Mac needed help. But , Jordan refused and said she wanted him to stay at the hospital, as he needed to see things through for Rory’s sake. Trina and Curtis arrived with Josslyn, Cameron and Spencer in tow.  Trina immediately asked how Rory was doing. Portia told her that Rory had lost a lot of blood, and he was bleeding internally. Trina wanted to see him, but Portia added that he was very weak. But moments later Rory was being wheeled to the elevators, and Trina ran over to him. He took his oxygen mask off and groaned that he knew it had been too soon to tell her how he felt about her, but he wasn’t sorry for doing it. “When you know, you know,” he said, and he passed out.

Update written by Dustin

At Spring Ridge, Ryan informed Heather that he knew she had left town while carrying their child. She didn’t even try to hide it and arrogantly insisted that she had gone to such great lengths to hide her from him that he would never find her.  Heather was left completely dumbfounded when Ryan told her that she had been coming to visit him for quite some time. Heather then got very serious and said that it wouldn’t have been possible for either of them to have been parents. Ryan was certain that Heather had known that Esme had an internship at Spring Ridge. He explained that she had found him with something of his that had belonged to a former girlfriend. He admitted that he had always wondered what had happened to his “special chain of keepsakes.” Heather admitted that she had stolen it, and Ryan was visibly irritated. He declared that he would hold Heather responsible if anything landed in the wrong hands. Heather asked if that was a threat. Heather insisted that she had kept it in mostly good shape. Heather told Ryan that she had been wearing the chain on the day she gave their baby up for adoption.  Supposedly, The baby had grabbed the chain, and the keepsakes had scattered all over the ground. Heather had thought that she had retrieved all of them. Ryan stated that Esme had used the keepsakes to find him. Heather wanted to hear all about their daughter.

Heather added that she had wanted to protect Esme because the world was full of terrible people like Heather. Ryan spoke about a strong young woman and shared that he and Esme had a special relationship, but he confided that she had been missing for quite some time. He revealed that Ava had thrown Esme over the parapet at Wyndemere although he knew she had survived that incident. He assumed that Esme wasn’t able to contact him right now because she was wanted by the police. “We will make them pay,” Ryan said about the Cassadine clan. Heather noted that Ryan wouldn’t be able to do much from his wheelchair, when he suddenly stood up. “People tend to underestimate me,” he said. Heather smiled broadly and rushed to Ryan’s arms. She was delighted, and she wondered what else Ryan might be able to do. They agreed that they had to find out what had happened to Esme and punish those responsible.

At Wyndemere, Nikolas showed up in Esme’s room to grant her a wish. She was happy that she might go outside to chop down a tree, but Demetrius carried a pint-sized tree into her room. She was angry, but Nikolas acknowledged that he would never allow her to go out to run away. He reminded her that she was nothing more than a vessel until their child was delivered.

Downstairs, Spencer was searching through every liquor cabinet in the place looking for an assortment of alcohol to dull the pain of being brutally rebuffed by Trina. He continued to drink until Nikolas appeared. Spencer announced that Victor had insisted that they stay at Wyndemere. Nikolas replied that it wasn’t healthy for them to share living space. He spied the bottle, and Spencer quickly said that he didn’t want a lecture. He admitted to losing his appetite and running out on his dinner with Victor.

Nikolas offered to listen to Spencer and said that he loved his son. Spencer thought that Nikolas was a “distinct minority.” Nikolas began to name the people who loved Spencer. “She said we’re not even friends anymore,” Spencer blurted out. He told Nikolas about seeing Trina and Rory at the restaurant and that Rory had professed his love for Trina right there for everyone to hear. He admitted that he knew why Trina had rejected him, and he admired her for finding someone with the courage to confess his feelings.

Spencer said he felt like he was still in prison, and he knew when there was no hope. Nikolas reminded him of a childhood book he loved as a kid, a story of a baby bird that had been saved. “Hold onto hope,” Spencer recalled. Nikolas thought it was a good lesson. He didn’t think it was too late, but Spencer was sure that Trina and Rory loved each other. Nikolas revealed that it was hope that got him through the darkest times, even though he kept making mistakes. He thought that he and Spencer both had persistence as a quality, and they didn’t give up on those they loved. He said he knew that Spencer loved Trina.

Back in Esme’s room, she decorated the tree with whatever she could find. She felt alone. She wanted help from her father, and soon after, Demetrius walked in. He handed a box to her. She opened it up and found some ornaments. She said that it meant a lot to her, and he hoped she would stop crying. Esme told her baby that its grandfather had shown her the way.

In Terry’s office at General Hospital, Elizabeth told Finn that she was pregnant after he spotted the bottle of prenatal vitamins. “Another man’s baby,” he said. Elizabeth was sorry, and Finn didn’t believe her. Elizabeth sighed. She told him that it had happened after her return from Monterey when she’d needed someone to talk to. He was angry and reminded her that he had always stood by her. He asked who the father was. “Nikolas,” Elizabeth replied.

Finn stormed out of the office and into his own. Elizabeth followed, as Finn struggled with his rage. He finally smashed a tray of glass items onto the floor. She told him that she had just found out. Finn assumed that Ava didn’t know. He guessed that congratulations were in order, and he promised he wouldn’t bother Elizabeth anymore. He stated that he would call the commissioner to report his suspicions about Esme being at Wyndemere. But, Elizabeth insisted that Esme was not on Spoon Island, and that she oughta know because she had been spending a lot of time there.  Her words cut Finn deeply.  Finn couldn’t believe what a fool he had been.  Elizabeth told him that the boys didn’t know and she made him swear that he wouldn’t divulge the information.  He said he would tell no one and left.

Trina wandered around her house and picked up the bottle of perfume that Rory had given her. She thought about their conversation until there was a knock at the front door. It was Ava, and Trina was glad that Ava was there to stop her from making a huge mistake. Trina told her about the three-month anniversary dinner, and she confessed that her heart had been taking her down the path to more heartbreak. Ava told Trina that she had lots of experience in that area. She wanted Trina to have happiness. “Even if it leads to Spencer?” Trina asked.

Ava related that she’d heard about Spencer being out of prison. Trina admitted that she couldn’t pretend to have feelings for Rory, even with all the hurt that Spencer and Esme had caused. Ava also suggested that evidence had been brought to light that seemed to point to another perpetrator being the Hook killer and not Esme. Trina was frightened for her friends and family again because this gave the killer an air of anonymity again.

Ava told Trina to listen to her heart. She thought that her own heart was loud and clear about Nikolas, but she didn’t know if she would listen. After Ava had gone, Trina thought about her friend’s advice. “Welcome home,” read the text she decided to send to Spencer.

Carly arrived at Metro Court just as Drew met up with Denise in the lounge area to discuss Willow’s childhood. Before Carly could make her way to observe, Willow called out to her. Willow announced that she was there for a date night dinner with Michael, but she received a call from him to tell her that he couldn’t make it. She asked Carly to join her instead.

Carly and Willow sat at a table, and Carly asked about Willow’s condition during her first pregnancy. She quickly apologized, and Willow explained that she didn’t like to talk about it because she had had no support from anyone at that time. Carly grabbed Willow’s hands as Willow expressed her gratitude for Michael’s family and the one she had “yet to discover.” She asked Carly about the search that Drew had been conducting, but Carly replied that it was Drew who was running that show. Willow hoped that he would have some news for her soon.

Willow also expressed how kind Carly had been to her and how happy she was that her kids would have Carly as a grandmother. She thought that so much could go wrong. Carly asked if Willow was okay, and Willow replied that she had been thinking of her new baby. She hoped it would be healthy and happy. Carly said she was sure it would be strong and healthy.

In the sitting area of the Metro Court bar, Drew and Denise chatted. Denise stated that the people in the commune had been lost, and he asked if Willow’s mother had been the same. Denise recalled Kali, now Willow, to have been sweet, which was a small miracle, considering her mother. She told Drew about the pregnant, drug addicted Joan, who had joined the commune and then abandoned her baby. Denise said that she was sweet but troubled. The commune leader, Josiah, had asked Harmony and her husband Doug to take the baby.

Drew asked about the baby’s father, but Denise didn’t know anything about him. She was glad to hear that Willow had a good life, husband and family, and she added that Willow’s biological mother had died of an overdose. The conversation drew to a close, and Denise decided to stick around to enjoy a colorful drink from the bar. She confirmed that Drew had been paying for her visit.

Drew made his way to Willow and Carly’s table with an update, and Carly insisted on leaving them alone. Drew thought he should verify the information first, but Willow wanted to hear it. He told her what he’d learned.

Carly found Denise and asked how the conversation with Drew had gone. Denise replied that she had handled the situation exactly as Carly had wanted her to.

At Wyndemere, Spencer received Trina’s text message, and he smiled at Nikolas. He announced that he wouldn’t have to drink anymore. “Hold onto hope,” Spencer said and he exited the room, leaving Ava standing at the door.

Update written by Dustin

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Michael told Willow that he thought that people should know about her diagnosis, but Willow stubbornly argued that she wanted to do things her way. Michael reminded her that she had just fainted, but she blamed the whole thing on Nina. She went even further to blame Sonny for supporting Nina because she knew this would distract Michael. Willow thought that Michael’s anger with Sonny was only hurting him. Michael insisted that his primary focus was on Willow and helping her to fight her cancer, but Willow believed otherwise.

At Dex’s place, Dex told Josslyn that he had been trying to do the right thing, and she told him she wanted honesty. He grabbed her and began to kiss her until they were interrupted by a knock at the door. It was Sonny, who called out that he knew that Dex was home. Joss and Dex tried to come up with a plan, and finally Joss hid and Dex opened the door. Sonny barged in and Dex said that he was in the middle of something. He suggested that he and Sonny meet at Sonny’s office instead, which only made Sonny want to know what was going on there at his apartment.  “Why do you want to get rid of me?”  Sonny said.

As Josslyn hid, Sonny interrogated Dex about everything that had happened after he was shot. Sonny suspected that Dex was hiding something. Dex tried to explain that he had located a secure spot on the Quartermaine grounds where someone had taken care of him. He refused to divulge the person’s name, but Sonny insisted that he tell him. Before Sonny could press Dex anymore, Josslyn emerged and said, “It was me.”  She told Sonny it had been her who had helped Dex but pointedly did not say where she had found Dex. Sonny was less than pleased that Josslyn had become involved in what could be a criminal matter. Dex asked her to go, but Josslyn went off on Sonny before leaving. She told Sonny that he was a pathetic person for completely disregarding Dex’s health because he was too focused on whether a trail of evidence could lead back to him.  She didn’t understand why Dex remained loyal to Sonny when the last thing Sonny would do was exercise any loyalty to Dex in return.  Sonny offered to take her home but she refused.

After Josslyn had gone, Sonny was livid. Dex stated that he hadn’t planned to run into Josslyn on the evening of the prison transport, but she had found him on the grounds of the boathouse. He added that later, she had taken him to her dorm. “Big mistake, Dex,” Sonny yelled. Dex insisted that he would never have involved Josslyn had he been in his right mind.  Sonny asked if he was delirious and Dex replied that he had been shot so he definitely was delirious and in shock.

Sonny said that he had come there to offer Dex a job which would be a significant promotion in his organization.  But, Sonny wondered if he had made a mistake thinking that Dex was ready for it. He outlined the possibility of his facilities being used for unofficial exports. Dex replied that he was up for it.  Sonny implied this would be Dex’s last chance to prove himself and said there was “no more room for mistakes.”

Shortly after, Michael showed up, and Dex revealed that Sonny had just been there. Michael offered an envelope to Dex that he said was his severance pay and Michael asked Dex how quickly he could pack and leave town. Dex told him about the upcoming illegal activity that would be occurring in Sonny’s facilities. Dex maintained that there would never be a better opportunity to take Sonny down than the upcoming shipments that would be moving through Port Charles.

Robert stared at a photo of himself and Holly as he sat in his office. There was a knock at the door, it was Olivia.  She said she wanted to check in on him and offer her sympathies for Holly being ripped out of his life again right after he she had reemerged after years. Robert divulged that Holly had a long road ahead of her in recovery, but she would pull through. Olivia was more concerned that Holly had betrayed Robert. Olivia didn’t think that Robert would ever be able to trust Holly again and Robert admitted he had some very difficult decisions ahead.

As Cody stepped off the elevator at General Hospital, he received a message that Mac wanted to see him at the Metro Court bar. Nearby, Britt and Austin were speaking about her birthday party that she was planning for herself because she had never had one. Cody asked if he would be invited. Britt glared at him and sarcastically suggested that he concentrating on playing the field. The two argued, and finally, Britt told him they had no future and she walked away with Austin.

Heading into Britt’s office, Austin wanted to know what had just happened, but Britt didn’t want to discuss it. She said that she wanted her party to be on the Haunted Star because she didn’t know how many birthdays she had left. Austin pointed out that this would not be Britt’s last birthday, and she told him that she was so angry about her condition. She fumed that she had the curse of being Faison’s daughter had also brought her this disease. Britt said that she didn’t fear death but that she did fear “being a burden” to others.

Austin accepted Britt’s invite for himself and said that Maxie would be his plus one for Britt’s party.  Britt explained that she would be leaving Port Charles right after the party in order to protect her privacy. Austin mentioned the exchange with Cody but Britt refused to speak about it.  She said that she was sparing people having to deal with a condition that would rob her of her ability to care for herself in a matter of years, possibly even months.  Austin said she actually wasn’t sparing people, she was being selfish.  Britt was furious with his choice of words and Austin quickly backpedaled.  Austin said that he shouldn’t have used the word “selfish,” that was too harsh.  He said that she was being too proud.  He told about his own father, who had avoided conversations that were uncomfortable, and then by the time he was ready to broach the subject, it was too late.  He said that Britt was making decisions for people in her life that they should be allowed to make for themselves.  He then joked about what the dress code would be to lighten the moment which had gotten extremely heavy.  Britt playfully joked back and told Austin to have Maxie pick out his outfit.

Drew stopped at Carly’s house to let her know that one of his contacts had found a friend of Harmony’s from the Peace and Love Commune, a female firefighter named Denise McKenzie.  He hoped she would be able to fill in some of the dots on how Harmony had “adopted” Willow. Carly hoped that Drew wouldn’t be disappointed, but she stopped him from calling Willow to give her the news. Carly told Drew about Willow’s fainting and suggested that he talk to Denise first. He mentioned how so many people had lied to Willow in the past. Carly was distracted as she realized she was one of those people as well, and she told Drew about Nina’s spreading the lies about Carly having an affair with Brick. She admitted that it had been the reason for her telling Sonny about her and Drew. As they shared a kiss, Josslyn walked in, and she recalled Dex’s kiss in her mind. Carly said she was looking forward to when she no longer had to hide kissing Drew. “I hear ya,” Josslyn replied, thinking of her feelings for Dex, which she also has to keep on the down-low.

Later, after Drew and Josslyn had left, Carly phoned Olivia to ask for a favor. She wanted to know immediately when Denise McKenzie checked into the Metro Court.

Mac, Felicia, and Laura sat at a table at the Metro Court. restaurant. Mac suspected that Robert was brooding in his office. Valentin stopped, and Laura informed him that Holly was “holding her own.” Mac accused the Cassadine family of being behind all that had transpired, especially where the Ice Princess was concerned. “Where there’s trouble, there’s Victor,” Mac said.

Valentin told Mac not to assume where Valentin’s loyalties lie, but Mac warned him not to be too close because Victor would be going down. Felicia and Laura exchanged glances. Mac left, and Valentin sat down. Laura noted that Robert had suspected Holly of passing information to Victor because no one had been able to reach Ethan. Valentin thought that he could help, but Felicia quickly shouted out for him not to do that. She stated that everything was not as it seemed, and she suggested that Laura talk to Robert. Laura invited Valentin to get in touch with her for dinner, and she left.

Valentin thought that his contacts could help in locating Ethan. Felicia admitted that Lucy was also a hostage of Victor’s after Valentin guessed, and she told him what had been suspected of happening at the pier the day that Lucy had disappeared. Valentin demanded to know where Anna was, as she needed to know. Felicia wrote down a name on a piece of paper and handed it to Valentin. She told him that the person would know how to get in touch with Anna. Valentin opened the paper, and his eyes widened. He ripped the paper and dunked it into his drink. Felicia told him it wouldn’t be easy.

Nearby, Mac met with Cody at the bar and bought him a drink. Mac divulged that the necklace was missing and presumed destroyed in the fire. Cody couldn’t believe that he’d lost another inheritance, and he told Mac a story about breaking in a wild mustang before getting tossed onto the ground with both a broken wrist and pride. He said that he was back to having nothing, and he wondered about always making wrong choices. Mac told him that money wasn’t everything, and Cody was not the same man as his father, whose only good had been to provide Cody with an inheritance.

Cody was about to say something, but Felicia interrupted and said that she wanted to leave. Cody remarked that the DNA test result had been his loss. “Ours, too,” Mac replied.

As Robert sat and stared at the necklace in his office, there was another knock on his door. It was Laura.  She told Robert that Victor had to be brought down and they needed to redouble their efforts.

Drew visited with Willow to make certain that she was behind him one hundred percent in his search for her family. He hoped he wouldn’t disappoint her. Willow confirmed that she wanted the answers and was 100% in support of his efforts.

Update written by Duustin

Sonny and Nina spoke on the phone and Nina told him how Donna was doing as she was clearly playing babysitter. Sonny said  they could discuss his day when he got home. Nina tells Sonny that Donna is having an early dinner in the kitchen, but that she had ordered a gourmet dinner for two from the Metro Court for them to enjoy.

At that moment, the doorbell rang and Nina announced that the catering guys were early, she opened the door to reveal Josslyn standing there.  Josslyn was none to happy to see Nina and said that she didn’t believe that Nina was supposed to be around Donna at all.  Nina took pleasure in telling Josslyn that she was operating off of dated information.  Sonny and Carly had spoken and they had come to a new understanding.  Josslyn said that she would be sure to verify this with her mother as soon as she made it home.  She told Nina she would wait for Donna to finish dinner but then she would be leaving.

Nina told Josslyn about the drama at Willow’s house. Josslyn instantly blamed Nina for the whole sordid affair and said that “only Nina would pick an argument with a pregnant woman.”  Nina denied picking a fight with Willow and she added that she and Carly had put aside their differences to revive Willow and to talk about what was in her best interests.  Nina said that if she and Carly could put aside their differences that she didn’t understand why she and Josslyn could not do the same. Josslyn refused to even discuss the subject.  When Nina asked Josslyn how Cameron was doing, Josslyn flashed back to a moment with Dex, when she finally came out of it, she screamed at Nina that she was nothing like her.

At Pozzulo’s, Dex walked in to Sonny’s office.  Sonny asked Dex what was more important to him, working for him or spending time with Josslyn. Dex looked floored.

At the Port Charles Grille, it was difficult for Spencer to hear Rory proclaiming his love for Trina.  But, he then gives her a box of perfume called L’Amor. But Trina’s eyes were all on Spencer as she couldn’t believe he was even there, as he stood behind Rory. He explained that he used his Cassadine connections to get out of jail early and then sat down with Trina as soon as Rory got a call from Jordan and left the table.

Spencer sits down at the table and asks Trina if they can start over, and Trina could not say yes. Instead, she went on and on about how it’s not possible for them anymore. Spencer sadly had to say he guessed what happened between them in the past had consequences. Trina then tried to backtrack and tell him he misunderstood what was going on with Rory.

Later, a rejected Spencer tried to throw out the two turtle doves, but Victor kept them for safekeeping.

Finn told Elizabeth that he was sure that Esme was on Spoon Island and Nikolas was definitely hiding something. Why else would Esme have been on the pier with the launch the night Liz tried to go there? Liz was stunned to hear that Finn even made his way to Wyndemere to look for Esme, but she was relieved that Nikolas managed to cover up their elaborate ruse.

Liz tried to talk Finn out of going back to Spoon Island, so he tried to drag Elizabeth to see Jordan instead so they could tell the commissioner his suspicions. When he went back into his office to get what Liz left there, he noticed the bottle she was carrying was prenatal vitamins — the same ones he saw at Wyndemere. Finn then asked Elizabeth if she was pregnant.

Over at Spring Ridge, Heather and Ryan caught up, and we learned that they met one night in the woods when Heather saw this handsome man chopping down wood with an ax. They called themselves Hazel and Richard and had a glorious time in this cabin many years ago. Heather told Ryan that she knew he was faking the catatonic state, so he came clean and just started talking, telling her she left him with no word and broke his heart.

Heather then slapped him across the face for setting her son Franco up to take the fall for his last round of serial killings but mentioned how they made a good team, and she owes him one. Ryan said she owes him two because he later learned that Hazel was pregnant when she left Richie all those years ago. Heather looked like she had seen a ghost.

In his office, Sonny gave Dex a whole speech about how he started off in the mob business.  He told Dex that when he first got in the business he was ordered to take care of someone and he was arrogant, naive and sloppy and he left a trail that could have easily been traced back to him or to his boss.  Dex wanted to know how he was able to continue after that situation.  Sonny said that he had a guardian angel and Dex said that he was lucky.  Sonny snapped, “luck will only get you so far.”  Dex told Sonny that he was smart and a fast learner and could adapt quickly.  Sonny told him he believed that was true. But, he cautioned Dex as he opened his desk drawer to reveal a new gun. You have to know when to keep the safety on a gun or when to take it off. He then handed Dex the shiny, new gun and told Dex that he would be accompanying him to a meeting. It turned out this meeting was with Nina at his place for dinner, but when Dex saw Joss there, he tried to get out of staying. He quickly asked Sonny if he could skip dinner because he wasn’t really that hungry.  Sonny said that was fine and Dex left.

Sonny then asked Nina if Josslyn had been at the penthouse long and she said they had been talking for a while.  Sonny said that he didn’t see any broken glass so he was curious what they had been talking about.  Nina laughed and said that Josslyn clearly had other things on her mind.

Update written by Dustin

In Ireland, Anna and Valentin are reunited at an acquaintance’s house where Anna is staying.  Valentine arrives and calls out for Tiffany.  “Tiffany are you here?”  The second time he asks Anna says hello stranger and slides her hand down the back of his neck.  The moment is ruined quickly when Anna and Valentin answer the door to find Martin. He admits hacking into Valentin’s personal information in the hopes that he would lead him to Lucy’s killer. Anna again insists that she did not kill Lucy. Martin finally admits that he is beginning to believe her. He assumes that they are looking for the real killer and he wants to help them in any way he can.

There’s another firm knock at the door and someone screams, “U.S. Marshals, open up!”  Agent Whitten stands at the front door, he has followed Martin to Ireland.

Martin answers the door, and Whitten barges in without a warrant and demands to know where Anna is. Martin has no idea, so Whitten asks what he’s doing here. Martin explains he came here to be alone and grieve Lucy’s passing. Whitten demands his agents search the house. Martin tells them no one is searching anything until he sees a warrant. When he finds out they have no warrant, he suggests they wait outside because he didn’t give them permission to enter. The agents leave, but Whitten stays and tells Martin that standing in his way is a bad move, and orders him to tell him where Anna is. He places his hand on his gun, and Martin scoffs that he can’t shoot an unarmed man. Valentin appears and tells Whitten to stop, and that Martin followed him knowing he was looking for Anna, but she’s not here. Whitten refuses to believe that. At that point, Anna puts a gun to Whitten’s back and orders him to take his hand off his gun.

Whitten says they won’t get away with this. Anna disagrees and knocks the agent out with a blow to his head. Later, Martin calls for help, and the other agents burst in, and Martin explains Whitten just collapsed. Meanwhile, Valentin and Anna escape thanks to Martin’s diversion. Back at the house, Whitten regains consciousness and demands Martin be arrested.

At Wyndemere, Victor thinks with Spencer home the Cassadine’s should host a huge Christmas dinner to celebrate.  Spencer asks Victor to wait with the large scale plans because his father has even said whether or not he wants him there.  Nikolas says that in fact he is not ready for Spencer to live there with him at Wyndemere.  He says that their relationship is too volatile and that they can’t be in the same room without Spencer going for his throat. Nikolas explains his long term goal is to save their relationship, and they must maintain some distance for the time being. Victor reminds Nikolas that he has to watch over Spencer per his release conditions, so Nikolas says Victor will have to leave too. He suggests they get a room at the Metro Court. Victor calms Spencer down and suggests they go to the Port Charles Grill for dinner. Victor and Spencer leave, and Nikolas clears a table in the hallway of its contents, smashing everything to the floor and screams, “Damn you, Esme!”

At the Port Charles Grill, Rory and Trina enjoy a three-month anniversary dinner. He asks her about her work at the museum, and she tells him about a new exhibit she’s working on. She asks what he’s doing on Christmas. He has to work in the morning and spends the afternoon with his family. He asks if she’d like to come with him. She’s a bit surprised that he wants her to meet his parents, but she agrees.

Dessert eventually arrives and they share it. Trina tells Rory that he makes her feel so special. Rory tells her she is exceptional, and that he loves her. Trina looks shocked, as does Spencer who has just entered the restaurant and heard Rory confess his love for Trina.

At Spring Ridge, Jordan and Ava, question Ryan. Jordan is curious about what Esme said to him when she visited him into his room at General Hospital. Ryan communicates through blinking, the letter board and his caretaker that they were close, and she was worried about him. When asked if Esme is capable of murder, Ryan answers yes.

Jordan shows him the letter the Hook killer penned to the paper and asks if Esme could have written it. He says no. Ryan explains the killer wrote the letter, but it’s not Esme. The killer used the words me and mine, and Ryan says that Esme has no one. Ryan also wonders why Ava is wearing her wedding ring when it’s obvious she and Nikolas are over. Ava asks how he knows that. The caretaker explains Ryan follows the news and gossip columns. Ryan wants Ava to come back to him. Ava tells Ryan that her marriage is none of his business.

Sonny visits Heather and asks her what she knows about Dex.  Heather describes Dex down to the last detail and says if she saw him again she could easily point him out.  “That’s unfortunate,” Sonny says. Sonny tells Heather that Sonny tells Heather it would be wise for her to forget everything she knows. He threatens her and tells her that even in minimum security prisons horrible things can happen. He tells her to take care of herself as he leaves her cell.

Later, Sonny joins Jordan and Ava, in the common room as they question Ryan.  Ava tells Sonny she is participating with the PCPD to try and profile the Hook killer.  Sonny asks Jordan if she believes that Esme is the killer.  Jordan, who had once been operating under the theory that Esme was the principal suspect now doesn’t seem so sure.

Sonny notices that Ava seems jumpy and before he leaves he tells Ava that if she is going to participate with the PCPD to draw up this profile, she needs to find a way to keep Ryan out of her head. Ava confesses it’s not just that, she tells Sonny that she and Nikolas are having problems.  Sonny tells Ava she needs to ditch Nikolas for good.  Sonny says he is nothing but bad news.  He then leaves her to think about what he has said.

Later, back in his cell, Ryan is visited by Heather, who refers to him as “lover.”

Update written by Dustin

At General Hospital, Portia informed Stella that everything looked good on her annual checkup. Marshall was with Stella, and Portia took the opportunity to ask (in front of Stella) if he had given more thought to genetic counseling. Marshall tried to reassure Portia that he didn’t need a reevaluation and that he was at peace. Marshall politely asked Portia to respect his wishes.  Stella too agreed that Portia should respect Marshall’s privacy.

In Jordan’s office at the PCPD, Curtis hand delivered an invitation to his and Portia’s wedding. Curtis grew angry when Jordan said she couldn’t “protect” Curtis’ family.  A poor choice of words from Jordan because it left Curtis believing she was speaking about the Hook killer and Trina, when she was actually speaking of Trina’s true paternity.  Curtis yelled at Jordan, and he accused her of keeping secrets from him again. Rory entered to provide Jordan with reports, including one for her to sign off on which detailed police plans for the city on Christmas Eve. A furious Curtis left as Jordan would not give him any details on what she had meant by her comments. On Curtis’ way out, he told Jordan not to forget to RSVP to the wedding. Later, Jordan stared at the invitation for a long time before she eventually used a pen to check the box marked “regretfully declines.”

At Rice Plaza, Ava took Trina shopping. Rory appeared, and Ava left them alone for a moment. Rory asked Trina to go with him to a nice dinner for their three-month anniversary, which Trina seemed to have forgotten.

Trina thanked Rory for having always believed in her innocence, and they finalized plans for dinner. Rory left, and Ava and Trina picked up their conversation where they had left off. Ava asked Trina to tell her what was on her mind, and Trina admitted that she hadn’t been able to stop thinking about Spencer. Ava remarked that Spencer was still weeks away from being released from Pentonville and that Trina could use that time to prioritize and take stock of her life and what she wanted from it. Ava said she envied Trina. Ava said that having a man who worked an honest job was a blessing.  She added that complicated men create nothing but chaos. Ava thought it was best if she and Trina avoided those kinds of men altogether. The two parted ways.

Also at Rice Plaza, Eileen had whispered to Victor that the necklace had been destroyed. Victor reminded Eileen that her primary function was to keep Laura distracted, and Eileen replied that she had pulled the necessary strings.

Victor walked away, and struck up a conversation with Ava. The two talked about love, and Ava accused Victor of having never experienced true love. Victor said that when Ava was free from Nikolas, perhaps there would be hope for Victor and Ava. Ava pointedly reminded Victor that her marriage to Nikolas wasn’t over, and she asked what Victor would use to hold over Nikolas’ head, since Esme was still alive. Victor remarked that he wouldn’t need to coerce Nikolas into a divorce because Nikolas was already showing signs of moving on.

At Pentonville, Cyrus noted that Spencer had kept his distance since Victor’s visit. Spencer naively said that Cyrus had been out of line for having suggested that Victor was responsible for the attempt on Laura and Martin’s lives, and he defended Victor.

Cyrus hoped that his friendship with Spencer would continue after Spencer was released. Cyrus then produced a ring-sized box, and slid it across the table. Spencer said that he was uncomfortable taking a gift from Cyrus, who revealed that the gift was for Trina. It was a pair of white, turtle doves.

Spencer said that Trina would love them. However, he thought that he had caused Trina enough pain and had decided to stay away from Trina forever. Cyrus encouraged Spencer to take the gift and for Spencer to follow his heart. Just then, Victor entered the room, and he scowled at Cyrus. Cyrus started to leave, but Victor asked him to stay to hear what he had to say. “I have some news about my great-nephew’s future,” Victor exclaimed.

Elsewhere at Rice Plaza, Alexis tried to get Finn to open up to her about where things stood between him and Elizabeth. Finn informed Alexis that the man Reiko had an affair with had been Elizabeth’s father.  Alexis asked Finn to tell her more and asked where that left Finn and Elizabeth.  But, Finn did not answer her inquiries.

Their talk then turned to Alexis’ coverage of the Hook killer, and Alexis said that while it was not at all abnormal for Elizabeth to be on the pier waiting for a launch to Wyndemere, she couldn’t understand why Esme had been spotted there.  She wondered aloud what Esme had been doing there and why she hadn’t been seen since.  Finn said that he knew there was a history between Elizabeth and Nikolas and that Elizabeth trusted him.  But, Finn made it clear that he did not trust him and couldn’t stand the fact that Elizabeth did.

At Wyndemere, Nikolas had phoned Elizabeth to check on Esme. Elizabeth was worried when she found Esme “unconscious” on the bed after learning that Esme’s prenatal vitamins had all disappeared. Elizabeth and Nikolas thought that Esme might have swallowed the entire bottle of vitamins, and Elizabeth said that if that were true, Esme’s stomach would need to be pumped. Esme jumped up, and screamed at Elizabeth to stay away from her.

Esme said she had thrown the bottle of vitamins away, but not before she had taken one. Elizabeth took that as a sign that Esme cared about the baby. Esme swore that she wasn’t the Hook killer, and she told Elizabeth to ask Nikolas what had really happened on the night Esme had gone over the parapet. Esme implored Elizabeth to ask how Ava was involved as well.

Elizabeth wanted to know what she meant but Nikolas convinced her to return to General Hospital to get more prenatal vitamins.  Nikolas assured Elizabeth he would explain everything later.  Elizabeth left and Nikolas glared at Esme.  “That was a mistake.”

Nikolas wanted to know what Esme wanted.  Esme said that she wanted a Christmas tree, a real one, and that she wanted to pick it out from the Spoon Island grounds.  Nikolas scoffed and left the room, coldly. Once downstairs, Nikolas heard a knock at the door. Nikolas opened the door. Finn was there waiting.

At Spring Ridge, Heather was stunned that Jeff had come to visit her. Jeff told Heather to stay away from his family, and he mentioned Heather’s run-in with Cameron at Kelly’s. Heather said that Jeff didn’t care about his family, and never had.

Just then, Ryan was wheeled into the room. Jeff glanced at Ryan, and he asked if Ryan was who Jeff thought he was. “The one and only,” Heather remarked. Jeff again warned Heather to stay clear of his family, and he started to leave when Heather reached for his hand. Jeff seemed repulsed by Heather and left.

After Jeff left, Heather approached Ryan. “If you could speak, I imagine we’d have quite a lot to discuss,” Heather told Ryan, who blinked his eyes once in response. After Heather walked away, Ryan made a fist.

Update written by Dustin

Dante arrived at Pozzulo’s and knocked on Sonny’s office door. Sonny ended a call with Brick, and Dante thanked him for Thanksgiving dinner. Dante admitted that Michael had been right about Sonny having Dex abducted and beaten, and he admitted that he’d covered for Sonny. Dante said that the line between his love for his father and his duty as a cop was starting to blur, as he would have pursued Dex’s case more aggressively if the suspect had been anyone else. He added that he needed Sonny to know that he was aware what Sonny had done. Sonny didn’t see the problem because he had never asked Dante to cover for him and said that he never would.

Dante wanted to know about Sonny’s involvement in Anna’s escape. Sonny didn’t have a response to that question and Dante hoped that Sonny had been very careful. Dante said that he wasn’t out to get Sonny (like his brother Michael) but he intended to keep his oath to uphold the law. “I wouldn’t expect any less,” Sonny said. Sonny wanted Dante to know that no matter what happened in the future he wouldn’t love Dante any less.  Dante told Sonny that he loved him and then gave him a hug.  Dante then left.

At Dex’s apartment, Josslyn dressed Dex’s wound in fresh bandages and said that it was healing well. When she was done she told him he could put a shirt on. He apologized and remarked that he hadn’t noticed that it made her uncomfortable.  She had, after all, seen him in less. “You’ve even slept in my bed,” she replied. Dex said it was a shame that he had been so feverish that all he could do was sleep. “There’s always next time,” Josslyn joked. She advised him to take it easy and limit his activity, as she’d done some research on gun shot wounds. She promised not to bail on him before he was fully healed. Dex recalled his conversation with Michael about keeping Josslyn at a distance, and he told her that she needed to leave and never return.

Josslyn said that she needed to get more bandages and antibiotic ointment for Dex, but he insisted that he could order those things online. He said that he was trying to do the right thing, but she demanded honesty. “You want honest?” he asked, and he kissed her. At that moment, there was a knock, it was Sonny, who instructed Dex to open the door.

Drew arrived at Carly’s house, and Michael wondered why Drew had wanted to meet there. Drew confided that he wanted to have a confidential conversation about the potential criminal charges against him and Carly for insider trading. Drew thought that it was best for both he and Michael to reconcile their relationship with Ned. Michael agreed. Drew added that he and Carly needed to stop seeing each other. A surprised Michael admitted that it was the happiest he’d seen his mother in a while. Michael didn’t want to get involved in Carly’s personal life, but he did say that people usually got less time together than they thought they would. Drew wondered if Michael was worried about Sonny retaliating, but Michael replied that the feud with Sonny had made him value his family more. He told Drew to take advantage of the time he had with Carly, and then he left to return home to Willow.

Carly arrived at the Quartermaine gatehouse and found Willow screaming at Nina to leave. Carly entered the house as Willow passed out. Carly and Nina tried to revive Willow. When Willow finally woke up, Nina insisted on calling 911, but Willow refused. Carly asked Nina if they could speak outside and they walked out. Willow apologized to the baby, but she promised to get the baby into the world safely. Outside, Nina told Carly she didn’t want another lecture, as she’d only come by to ask a favor of Willow. Carly said she believed her, but she told Nina that her visit had a terrible effect on Willow and that the best thing for Willow and the baby was for Nina to stay away. Nina insisted that she never wanted to hurt them, and Carly told her she believed her. Nina left and Carly went back into the house with Willow and insisted that Willow see a doctor. A few minutes later, they returned to the living room after Carly had checked Willow’s blood pressure and the baby on the fetal monitor.  Willow appeared to be fine, but Carly pointed out that she was not an obstetrician.

Michael arrived home, and Carly told him that Willow had collapsed. Michael promised his mother that Willow would be seen by a doctor. Carly advised Willow to rest, and she left. Michael messaged Dr. Randolph on his phone. A short while later, Willow thanked Michael for the soup, and she told him Nina had been a factor in her collapse. Michael was furious when Willow told him that Nina had accused her of being selfish. But, Willow assured him that Nina wouldn’t be back. Michael insisted that the entire situation could have been avoided had Nina known that Willow was sick. He told Willow that it was time to tell people about Willow’s leukemia so they could concentrate on finding a bone marrow donor.

Carly arrived home to find Drew there. He kissed her and told her that they needed to take advantage of the time they had together. She reminded him that they were supposed to stay away from each other, but he said that he couldn’t do that. Drew got a notification on his phone and Carly insisted that he check it. He looked at his phone and shared the good news that he’d gotten a lead on Willow’s birth parents. Carly was shocked.

At Rice Plaza, Sasha continued to decorate with Sam’s help. Sam said she hoped that the boys wouldn’t claim to be too old to help decorate. Sasha talked about how magical Christmas was for kids, but then she quickly changed the subject. Sam told her that she didn’t have to do that. Sam told Sasha that she could say whatever she was thinking. Sasha admitted that she was working on acknowledging her feelings in therapy. Sam told Sasha that her first daughter was stillborn.  Sasha was obviously moved and told Sam how sorry she was. She then shared her hopes of taking Liam to see Santa with Brando.

A short while later, Sasha talked about how good it felt to do something useful and positive. “Helping others is a great way to help yourself,” she said happily. After their conversation, Sam departed and Nina returned. Sasha could tell that something had happened, and Nina told her that sometimes she feared that she was just as horrible a person as Willow believed she was.

Dante found Sam at Rice Plaza, and he advised her to pace herself, as they still had to decorate their place. Dante talked about Sonny, and how he hoped that his relationship with Rocco wouldn’t end up as troubled as his relationship with Sonny. Sam told him how much love she saw between Dante and Rocco. He thanked Sam for everything she had done for him, and they kissed.

At Pentonville, Victor spoke to someone on the phone and demanded an update on what had happened to the necklace. He and Nikolas then stepped into the visitation room. Spencer was led in by a guard, and when he saw that Nikolas was there, he demanded to be returned to his cell. Victor insisted that Spencer would need his father’s support once he got out of jail. “Not if you keep your end of the bargain,” Spencer replied. Nikolas demanded to know what that meant and Spencer revealed that he had agreed to keep quiet about Nikolas sleeping with Esme, in exchange for Victor giving him his birthright ahead of schedule. Spencer advised Nikolas that he would no longer need his support.

Nikolas told Spencer that if he would just give him another chance, he would never hurt Spencer again. Spencer replied that he would settle for never having to listen to any more of Nikolas’ empty words. “I told you this was a bad idea,” Nikolas told Victor, and he left. Victor seemed disappointed and demanded Spencer sit down. Spencer didn’t care that Victor was disappointed. He told Victor that while Victor might be “all-powerful on the outside,” inside Pentonville, he had serious competition. As he finished making his point, Cyrus entered and apologized to Spencer for being late to their chess game.

Victor was glad to see that Spencer had made friends, but Cyrus said that he was family. Spencer was grateful for all of his uncles looking out for him, including Sonny and Martin. Victor revealed himself as Spencer’s true, biological uncle. Cyrus, having found the remark to be an insult, revealed that Victor had ordered hits on Martin and Laura, which prompted a shocked response from Spencer. Victor then proceeded to announce all of Cyrus’ crimes.  “I don’t hear you denying it,” Cyrus said. “I don’t answer to you,” Victor hissed. “You will if you ever go near my family again, and that includes Spencer,” Cyrus countered.

Victor told Cyrus to exercise caution as he would not want to have Victor as an enemy. Cyrus asked if that meant that Victor was adding him to the hit list as well. Victor warned Spencer to not allow himself to be manipulated by Cyrus. Spencer advised Victor that he would never allow himself to be manipulated again. Victor reminded Spencer that he still needed Victor’s help and he left. Cyrus apologized that Spencer had to learn of his uncle’s guilt in that way. Spencer said, “could it be more obvious?”  He told Cyrus that he was no longer in the mood for chess, so he excused himself and returned to his cell.

Update written by Dustin

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn greeted Dante and provided him with the letter for the review board. Dante told her that it was too late.  The review board needed her letter by Friday of the previous week.  Brook Lynn was desperate to help Chase and said there must be something that she can do and rushed to get her coat.  Dante said that unless she had connections on the review board there was nothing she could do and even then Chase would not want her using her connections because she would be forced to lie.  Dante explained that Chase would not want his badge returned to him based on lies that were engineered by Brook Lynn.

Brook Lynn came clean to Dante and explained that she had been extremely selfish in her desire to take down Linc, and she had hoped that Chase would have eventually changed his mind and wanted to be a singer more than a cop. She told Dante that Chase had ended their relationship.  Dante appeared sad for her and said that he was sorry.  Brook Lynn said that there was no need for him to lie to save her feelings.  Dante explained that he wasn’t lying and that he thought that Chase had been happy with her. Brook Lynn was surprised when she heard this news.  Later, after Dante left she read the letter aloud she had written for the review board.  She then became angry and threw it across the room.  Suddenly, her emotions seemed to change and she vowed to do whatever was necessary to help Chase be restored to the police force. She made a call to an unknown individual and pleaded for “help.”

.At Rice Plaza, Nina and Sasha carried Christmas decorations to a table. Nina looked around and realized that she and Sasha had been the first to arrive, but Nina was confident the volunteers would be there shortly. Sasha was flattered that Nina had put her in charge of the holiday decorations for the plaza. Sasha assured Nina that she didn’t need her staying around to supervise and said she would not let Nina down. After Nina left, Sasha began to organize things when Chase arrived. Chase was curious what Sasha was up to, so she told him that Nina had put her in charge of transforming the plaza.

Chase thought it had been generous of Sasha to take on the project, but Sasha confessed that it helped her to stay busy, since the guardianship limited what she could do at Deception. Sasha invited Chase to help, and he took her up on the offer. He admitted that he needed something to focus on because he had broken up with Brook Lynn. Sasha felt bad for Chase, and offered to listen if he needed to talk. Chase explained the break up by saying that he and Brook Lynn simply had different priorities.

Chase accused Brook Lynn of acting in her own self-interest by putting his singing career ahead of his police career, but Sasha asked if it was possible that Brook Lynn had sincerely believed that Chase becoming a singer would be best for their relationship. Chase considered what she had said and said that she might have a point.

Dante joined Chase and Sasha on the plaza. Chase wanted to know if Dante had heard anything from the review board. Dante told Chase that he had already given his testimony and hoped that it would help Chase. Chase thanked Dante. Sasha invited Dante to help them decorate and to her surprise, he agreed to help before going to work.

After Sasha went to fetch a box, Chase received a text notification. Chase read the text message. “It’s final. The review board turned down my appeal,” Chase said. Dante was obviously sympathetic to Chase’s plight. Chase’s tone filled with sadness as he realized that he was no longer a police officer — and would never be one again.

At Pozzulo’s, Valentin was escorted into Sonny’s office. Sonny asked about Anna, but Valentin revealed that Anna had decided to handle things on her own. Sonny was curious why Valentin had come to see him, so Valentin revealed that he had a business proposal for Sonny. Sonny wasn’t interested in doing business with Valentin. Sonny explained that his collaboration with Valentin had been for Anna’s sake because Anna was important to Sonny.

Valentin asked if Sonny had heard of the Pikeman Security Group. Sonny was familiar with the mercenary group, so Valentin revealed that the group wanted to move “classified merchandise” through Port Charles — without interference from the government or law enforcement — and Sonny’s facilities would be ideal for the operation. Valentin acknowledged that he would receive a fee, but the group was prepared to pay Sonny $10,000,000 for every successful shipment. Sonny had reservations because it sounded too good to be true, and Sonny was curious how Valentin was connected to the group. Valentin explained that he had occasionally worked as a logistics contractor with Pikeman, and extending the offer to Sonny had earned Valentin a favor.

Sonny wanted to know about Valentin’s agreement with Pikeman, but Valentin would only tell Sonny that it had nothing to do with him or his organization. Valentin gave his word, but Sonny said that Valentin’s word was worthless to him. Valentin said that it would be in Sonny’s best interests to take Pikeman up on their offer. Sonny made it clear that he did not like ultimatums, but Valentin clarified that he was just the messenger.

Valentin explained that Pikeman would find someone else, but the group fully intended to move their merchandise through Port Charles because it was a shipping hub with access to the Atlantic and Canadian waters. According to Valentin, if Sonny wasn’t interested in working with Pikeman, then Sonny would be reclassified as a liability and obstacle, and Pikeman had a reputation for removing obstacles. Valentin told Sonny that he could either make a boatload of money, or gain a new set of powerful enemies. “Ball is in your court,” Valentin said as he exited Sonny’s office.

After Valentin left, Sonny called Brick. Sonny asked Brick to gather as much information as possible on Pikeman Security Group and to get back to Sonny as quickly as possible.

At Carly’s house, Carly entered the kitchen and said good morning to Josslyn.  Josslyn, who was seated at the island and focused on her open laptop, did not return Carly’s greeting. So, Carly repeated her greeting and made sure to get her daughter’s attention. Josslyn told Carly that she had decided to change her major to pre-med. Carly was taken aback, and was curious what had prompted the sudden change. Josslyn explained that she had hated feeling helpless when Dex had been shot, but Carly assured her daughter that Josslyn had done more than most people would have done under similar circumstances.

Josslyn admitted that she had felt a sense of fear both when Dex was shot and when Ava had been stabbed.  She said she did not wish to have that sense of fear anymore.  She wanted to know what to do in those situations. Josslyn was surprised at Carly’s lack of enthusiasm for her decision, but Carly had concerns because medical school was difficult and time-consuming.

Carly wanted Josslyn to be clear on her motivations.  She wanted to know if Dex had any role in Josslyn’s decision.  She cautioned Josslyn to admit her feelings for Dex with an awareness of the violence that was likely to plague Dex’s life. Josslyn promised that becoming a doctor was separate from Dex. Carly asked about Cameron and Josslyn’s mood saddened.  She said that things with Cameron just weren’t the same anymore and that she simply didn’t know how to end it.  She couldn’t stand the idea of hurting Cameron. Carly told her she understood, but that the longer she waited, the harder it would be to end things with Cameron.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Michael and Willow arrived home. Willow was weak and Michael helped guide her to the couch in the center of the room. He offered to make some tea, but Willow declined. She sat as Michael knelt at her feet and slid off her boots. Willow urged Michael to go about his day as usual because Michael and Wiley’s routine gave her a sense of normalcy. Willow lay down to take a nap as Michael draped a blanket on her. He promised to return soon, but he stopped at the door to look at her. “And he says he doesn’t hover,” Willow said. She smiled but her eyes remained closed.

At Dex’s apartment, Dex had a dream about Josslyn and their passionate kiss in her dorm room. He awakened and sat up quickly, but was overcome with pain from the gunshot wound. There was a knock at the door and Dex answered it to reveal Michael with his phone. As Michael entered the apartment, he handed the phone to Dex. Michael asked how the phone had ended up outside the gatehouse, so Dex told Michael about his role in Anna’s escape and the gunshot wound.

Dex explained that he had hoped Michael might get him patched up or at least to his apartment. Michael was not happy when Dex admitted that Josslyn had helped, but Michael realized that it had explained Josslyn’s strange behavior when Michael and Willow had arrived home. Michael was furious that Dex had made Josslyn an accomplice to a crime, and he was further angered when Dex admitted that Carly had gotten involved by getting him antibiotics.

Michael made it clear that he had no desire to dismantle Sonny’s organization at the expense of his mother and sister. Dex promised that this was an isolated incident and that it would never happen again, but Michael still wasn’t satisfied. Michael warned Dex that he would rather call everything off than put Josslyn at risk. “You need to find a way to keep her at arm’s length,” Michael said. Shortly after Michael left, Dex answered a knock at his door to reveal Josslyn standing in the hallway.

At the gatehouse, Willow woke up when she heard someone knocking at the door. She was confused when she saw Nina standing at the door. Nina explained that she had a favor to ask of Willow. Willow informed Nina that Wiley was at school, so Nina’s attempt to accidentally run into him would not work. Nina admitted that she had purposefully stopped by when Wiley was not home. “I was hoping you might want to help out a friend,” Nina said.

Willow poured herself a glass of water as Nina told her about the holiday project at Rice Plaza and Sasha’s role in getting everything done. Nina admitted that she had thought it might help Sasha to have Willow on hand to get the work done, but Willow told Nina that it was not a good day for her. Willow pointed out that Nina had not only taken on the project because Nina had decided it was what Sasha had needed, but Nina had put Sasha in charge of it without consulting Sasha about any of it. Nina was confident that she had made the right decision because Sasha had seemed happy when Nina had left the plaza. Willow was curious why — if Sasha had been doing great — Sasha needed friends to rally around her. “You are spinning your own narrative like you always do,” Willow said.

Willow accused Nina of not having consideration for anyone, and Willow advised Nina to pick a lane and stay in it. Nina grew  defensive. Nina claimed that she had hoped that Willow would be willing to set aside their differences to help a friend. “There goes that narrative again,” Willow said. “Willow Tait, you’re as selfish as they come,” Nina shot back. Nina insisted that Willow had everything, while Sasha had lost Liam and Brando, suffered several nervous breakdowns, and been put under a guardianship. Nina claimed that Willow’s life was perfect because Willow had graduated from nursing school, had plenty of time off from work for naps, and lived on a beautiful estate in a house with a man and son who loved and adored her. Nina also reminded Willow that she was pregnant with another child. As Nina ranted about Willow’s life being perfect, Willow lost it.

“Shut up!” Willow screamed. Willow repeated it two more times, each time gaining momentum and anger.  Stunned by the screams, Nina stopped speaking. Willow accused Nina of using Sasha as an excuse to scheme her way back into her good graces. Willow insisted that Nina had lost her mind if she thought that she would simply look past all of the lies that Nina had spread about Willow and T.J. Carly approached the gatehouse, but slowed when she heard Willow screaming. Carly got close enough to see what was going on through the window in the door. She paused to see who Willow was speaking to and was shocked when she saw that it was Nina.

When Willow ordered Nina to leave, Carly opened the door and stood in the doorway. Nina threw her hands up in defeat. Carly was ready for an altercation, but before she could say anything, Willow fainted, her head striking the floor.

Update written by Dustin

At the cabin where Holly has taken refuge, Jordan orders Mac to move in, the cabin explodes taking everyone by surprise.  Holly rushes out consumed by flames. Robert, who is at first subdued by Mac, rushes over with a blanket and extinguishes the flames covering Holly.  Robert screams.

The paramedics, after conducting their initial exam, explain Holly has third-degree burns over most of her body. They tell Robert that the burn unit at General Hospital is not equipped to handle such a serious case, so they plan to airlift Holly to a hospital that is better equipped. Robert goes with her. Jordan tells Mac she needs him on site.

The paramedics load Holly into an ambulance with Robert by her side. Later by the side of the road, the ambulance stops and the back doors open.  The paramedics exit and Felicia reveals herself as the driver. Holly sits up in the back of the ambulance without a hint of injury.

They all exit the ambulance and Holly thanks Felicia, who provides her with a new passport. Holly explains the events as they have unfolded over the past 24 hours. Felicia had shown up the previous night at the cabin and helped her fix the stove to explode when the time was right. She had also brought flame retardant clothing. Holly further reveals to Felicia that she and Robert staged his drugging, providing her the opportunity to “steal” the necklace. Holly explains that Ethan’s only chance at survival is if Victor thinks she is of no use to him. Felicia tells everyone that the official story will record that Holly was transported to a burn unit thousands of miles from Port Charles on the other side of the world. Holly is just sorry they had to keep Mac in the dark. Felicia says that under the circumstances she believes he would understand and says it provides him with plausible deniability.  As long as he is in the dark, he will not be lying to Jordan.

Holly then recalls meeting and giving Selina one of the diamonds from the necklace, in exchange for her drugging Victor.  Selina asked her what Victor did to her, and she explained he was holding her son hostage. Selina says that there is a special place in hell for men like him.  Holly says, “Yes, the 9th ring.” The drug will pay him back in kind, but it won’t kill him. She’ll never get Ethan back with Victor dead. Selina agreed to help her.

Once Felicia departs, Holly tells Robert she’s sorry that this must be goodbye. She notes this isn’t their moment, and he laughs, “It never is.” Before he can let her go, he asks for the necklace. She laughs, and hands it over. Holly tells Robert to be careful and blows him a kiss as she walks away.

Back at the cabin, Jordan tells Mac that it appears a faulty stove had caused the explosion. Mac is handed the remains of Robert’s briefcase, but there is no necklace to be found. He tells Jordan that the fire was so hot it could have destroyed the necklace.  Jordan says that the WSB is not going to be happy with the news.

At Portia and Curtis’ place, Marshall sits outside cleaning his clarinet when Trina tries to sneak out. He expected boredom to drive her out sooner or later. She admits she has cabin fever and needs room to breathe.

Inside, Portia and Curtis talk about the holiday. Curtis plans to make the most of his time with his father in case his disease returns. He asks what the chances are of that happening. Portia says she is not a psychiatrist and so she can not help Curtis in that regard. Curtis tells her Marshall claims he hasn’t had an episode since his arrest at the protest, and maybe he caught a break.

Back outside, Curtis and Portia find Marshall with Trina. Curtis tells his dad the game is about to start if he wants to watch. Portia and Marshall head in, and Curtis offers Trina the last piece of the pie. She pushes it aside. Trina knows he posted Marshall outside, which Curtis admits he did, but only to watch out for Esme. She accepts the pie and cleans the plate.

Back inside, Portia hopes Marshall will play the clarinet for them tonight. She asks if his illness has ever affected his music. Marshall says it never did, just his ambitions. He wonders why all the questions. She says that genetic counseling wasn’t available back when he was diagnosed and he could get it now. Marshall says that it can not possibly tell him anything he doesn’t already know.

In the kitchen of the Quartermaine mansion, Chase asks Brook Lynn if she had ever planned on telling him about the letter Dante asked her to write. She’s shocked Dante told him and explains she’s been so busy with his singing career she hasn’t had time to think about it. Chase wonders if she was ever planning on telling him or writing the letter. She swears she had every intention of writing the letter once they had taken Linc down. Chase grows angry and says that taking Linc down was never a certainty.

Brook Lynn says, “There is only one reason, us.” She cries and tells Chase that she’s never had anything like she has with him, and she didn’t think she was capable of finding it. However, he showed her that wasn’t the case. She says even if she never exposes Linc or gets her songs back, she’d be okay because they keep getting closer. She thought that given enough time he’d forget about the badge and simply want what they have together.

Chase admits that singing has been fun. However, he is not a singer. He explains she took away the choice for him to decide for himself what he wanted to do with his future. Brook Lynn understands and says she is fine with him “hanging up the mic.” Chase says, “Yes my singing career is over, but so are we.” She begs him to think about what he’s saying. Chase tells her that she kept him from the thing that makes him who he is. He says that they are over and leaves.

At The Savoy, Britt collides with Ava (at the bar drinking a martini) and orders herself a cosmopolitan. Cody shows up, as does Nikolas. Britt complains to Ava about how long it’s been since she had real “relationship sex.” 2014 was the last time and with her husband Nikolas, who approaches them and brags that he’s a “tough act to follow.”

Meanwhile, Liesl grabs Cody and drags him to another area of the club. Liesl tells Cody that Britt doesn’t have the time or energy for romantic distractions. She offers him money to stay away from Britt.  Cody says that he doesn’t want her money.

Cody says he originally wanted the necklace, but then he wanted Britt. He thought he could have both, but now he’s lost them both. He tells Liesl not to worry, he knows where he is not wanted and that he will not be bothering Britt anymore. Cody does ask Liesl to tell him what is wrong with Britt. Liesl tells him that answers were never part of the offer.

Selina finds Victor drinking by himself and joins him. Victor gets a text from Gavin that he’s at the location and trying to get the necklace. Victor texts Gavin and tells him that the necklace is key and that Holly is expendable. Victor and Selina discuss their recent family holiday.

Back at the bar, Britt orders another round for her, Ava and Nikolas. Britt suggests Nikolas be her wingman tonight.  Britt suddenly becomes woozy and can’t stand. She is caught by Victor and Selina who rush over to help.

Selina asks if Britt has been overserved. Britt says that she has only had one drink but becomes unstable again. Victor helps her to a table. Selina follows, and Britt continues to yell at them to get away from her as she can handle her alcohol. Victor soon realizes that Britt is sick and tells her that this has nothing to do with alcohol. Britt screams, “Don’t say that!”  Liesl appears and slaps Victor, and Cody forcibly moves Victor to another area of the club. Selina meanwhile recalls sending Victor a drink earlier containing the drug Holly had given her.

Later, Liesl tells Britt they should go home. She helps her daughter walk out of the club as Cody watches.

Elsewhere, Ava fills Nikolas in on Mac and Kevin believing she can convince Ryan to help them find Esme. Nikolas is understandably upset, and makes it seem he fears for Ava’s safety.

Alone, Victor finishes his drugged drink. He gets a text from Gavin that Holly is disabled and the necklace is missing. Victor smashes the empty glass that had contained his drink. He has consumed every last drop.

Update written by Dustin

Carly arrived at the Quartermaine mansion and Drew told her that she looked absolutely beautiful.  She responded by saying that Drew looked pretty handsome himself.  Before they could continue the conversation, Willow and Michael arrived and Carly and Drew greeted both of them. Michael and Willow were pleased when they learned that Carly intended to help Drew with the search for Willow’s birth parents.

Olivia would not hear of any talk about the Quartermaine’s jaded Thanksgiving past and was determined that this year the Quartermaine family would have a turkey for Thanksgiving.  She informed Ned and Michael that she had ordered it herself from a farm with a French name, in Port Charles. But Olivia clearly doesn’t know French that well or she would have figured out that they were sending her a real, live turkey.  When it arrived, both Michael and Ned made fun of Olivia for not realizing that she was being sent a live turkey.  Michael suggested that they prepare the bird themselves when Olivia’s plan to bribe the Quartermaine chef to prepare the bird, failed miserably.  Ned said that preparing the turkey had been part of Thanksgiving since the dawn of the holiday.  Michael agreed and said that he would grab Drew and Chase to assist.

Leo was thrilled to see the turkey but did not like the idea of Ned and Michael prepping it and cooking it, so he set it free inside the house and then proceeded to run room to room screaming for everyone to get out of the house because there was a turkey on the loose.

Sonny hosted his own Thanksgiving dinner but found time for romance beforehand by giving Nina a pair of diamond earrings. Sam and Dante were the first guests to arrive. When they shared a private moment, Sam voiced her concerns about Cody, and Dante shrugged them off. Sam said she appreciated Dante defending his friend but she was curious if Cody was up to something concerning the Ice Princess.  Dante said that the necklace might actually be Cody’s property and he said that having come from nothing, it was perfectly natural for Cody to defend his interests in the necklace.

The conversation between Dante and Sam was brought to a screeching halt when they heard Gladys tear into Alexis from the other room for publishing the fact that Esme might be the prime suspect in the Hook killings. She felt she should have been the first to know, seeing how Brando was one of the killer’s victims. Nina was confused and asked Gladys if she had not been informed that Esme was a suspect. Gladys responded by saying she had not. Dante told them all that this was because the PCPD did not have a prime suspect because the investigation was ongoing and it was important that the press not release information prematurely.  Alexis glared at them all, knowing that she had already authorized the story to be printed.  Sonny asked everyone to remain calm and reminded them that Thanksgiving was about family.  Gladys reminded Sonny that Brando was her family.  Her only family.  Alexis then apologized for releasing the information.  She said that she thought that Gladys would be pleased with her decision because she was turning up the heat on the investigation at a time when it appeared to have run cold.  Gladys, however, was having no part of Alexis’ apology and retreated from the room.

Laura, Robert, Mac and Jordan gathered to track down Holly. They finally got a lead on her. But before they began discussions, Laura dispatched the duplicitous Deputy Mayor Ashby elsewhere, before she could overhear the details of the search.

Meanwhile, Holly modeled the Ice Princess necklace while hiding out in an abandoned cabin in the woods. She made herself a fire to keep warm without noticing that gas had been leaked onto the floor. When the authorities arrived, Robert begged her to give up and come out of the cabin. Holly asked if Laura was all right and told Robert to apologize to her for her actions.

Back at the PCPD, Felicia had brought everyone Thanksgiving dinner because she knew that they would be working. Felicia asked Laura how she was doing with everything that had happened in the last twenty-four hours.  Laura replied that she was fine.  Felicia said that she couldn’t believe that Holly would steal Laura’s car and leave her on the side of the road all for a necklace.  Laura told Felicia she believed the matter was far more complicated than just “a necklace.” Felicia said that she agreed, but that she still could not believe the events that had transpired.

The Q’s looked on in horror from the back windows of the mansion’s kitchen as the turkey tore the room apart. Brook Lynn congratulated Olivia on her valiant effort to create a perfect Thanksgiving for the family. She then named all the wonderful women who had tried and failed in the past to set the Quartermaine Thanksgiving curse right (including her grandmother, Lila Quartermaine). But, she said that at some point you have to accept tradition, as it is. Olivia agreed, but was out of ideas for what they would all eat.  The entire group said in unison, “Luigi’s.”  The pizza arrived, the Quartermaine’s sang, and once again, all appeared right with the world.

Sasha stared out of the windows of Sonny’s penthouse, while she recalled the events of her wedding to Brando. Sonny came in and asked how she was doing. They spoke briefly and Sonny told her she was always welcome at his house.  Sasha thanked him and he then asked her if Gladys was still exercising her responsibilities as guardian with a “hands-on” attitude.  Sasha said that she believed that she and Gladys finally understood each other.

Gladys, on the other hand, said that she had to make a call and excused herself.  She called the Savoy, told them she was having a bad day and needed some fun.  She then booked herself a seat at Selina Wu’s next poker game.

Back at the cabin, Jordan instructed Mac to move in with armed police units as Robert begged her to give Holly more time to do the right thing.  Jordan said that Holly had already had enough time; but before she could finish her statement there was a large explosion in the cabin which nearly knocked everyone to the ground.  Shortly after, a woman, who appeared to be Holly burst through the front door, completely consumed by flames.

Update written by Dustin

At the Metro Court, Sam and Dante meet with Alexis for lunch. Nina interrupts and asks Dante how worried Ava needs to be about Esme. Alexis is surprised to hear Esme is back in town, and of the theory that the attacks are connected to Trina’s trial. Nina pretends to be worried about Ava but it is clear she is looking out for number 1.  Since Ava is temporarily staying at her place, she feels she may be in dangerous.  Dante can only say the investigation is ongoing and suggests they stay vigilant.

After Nina walks off, Alexis turns the discussion to food, and what Sonny will be cooking for Thanksgiving. Dante says a feast from what he hears. They all plan to go to Sonny’s, but Sam and Dante are later going to the Quartermaines for pizza. Dante says his mom even invited Cody, but he doubts he’ll come. Dante says he will probably have to go down to the stables to coax him out. Sam seems surprised. Dante messages Brook Lynn again about her statement to help Chase. She tells him that she’s in a meeting at Kelly’s. Dante tells them duty calls and excuses himself.

Alone, Alexis asks what the face Sam made was about when Dante mentioned Cody. Sam reveals Cody dropped hints that Dante may have done something illegal as a child, and she thinks she should find out what it was. When Sam steps away, Alexis asks Nina why she’s so certain Esme could be the hook. Nina says Ava seems very concerned about her return. Later, Alexis calls the PCPD and leaves a message for Jordan. Because she has not received her exclusive that she was promised she is going ahead with the printing of the hook’s letter on the front page the following day and would like a comment from the commissioner.  At Kelly’s, Chase and Brook Lynn arrive and meet with Blaze and Linc, who has issues with Brook Lynn’s song. Blaze loves the song, but she feels she’s singing too much back up to Chase. Chase and Brook Lynn believe they can work this out. Linc agrees as he caresses Blaze and says she knows how to play nice. Brook Lynn and Chase see this blatant sexual harassment but manage to keep their cool. Brook Lynn suggests she and Linc grab some coffee and let Blaze and Chase talk.

Brook Lynn says, “It won’t be just me.” She points out all the instances recently where one woman came out publicly against someone, which results in more coming out, and all she has to do is light the match. She says fortunately she doesn’t have a singing career he can hang over her head to keep her quiet, and she is going to destroy him. Linc says, “Or, you could get your songs back.”

Dante sits down with Chase and asks why Blaze is in Port Charles. Chase reveals they are working on a song together. Dante explains he’s been leaving messages for Brook Lynn and came to track her down. Chase relays that she’s been working around the clock promoting him. Dante says, “With this new career of his, maybe she doesn’t have to write that letter.”

In Britt’s office, Cody finds her on the floor holding the necklace. The office is a mess, and he asks if someone broke in and tried to steal the necklace. She tells him no. He can see she’s upset and asks if he can help. Britt cries to Cody that when she found out her father died, she thought it was finally over. However, his reach extends beyond the grave and he’s still hurting her. She can’t believe she wasted so much time seeking his approval. He tells her if Faison didn’t appreciate her then that’s on him, and she is worth loving. She asks, “Even with what’s been passed down to me?”

Cody initially assumes she’s speaking of the necklace and suggests she can give it to him because it’s basically his anyways. She can’t believe she didn’t see this before and screams she wasn’t talking about the necklace. She thinks that’s all he wanted. She tells him if he wants it so bad take it and get out! She hands it to him.

As Britt opens the door and demands Cody leave, Robert is standing there with a cop. He has a warrant for the necklace and demands Cody hand it over. Cody hesitates. Robert explains some of the diamonds in it are possibly stolen, Cody continues to stand there motionless so Britt finally grabs the necklace and hands it over to Robert.  Robert and the officer leave.

Britt again demands Cody get out, but he refuses. He wants to know if she wasn’t talking about the necklace then what was she talking about? He apologizes for making a mistake, and she knows he has a habit of putting his foot in his mouth. He asks what it will take for her to give him the benefit of the doubt. She says, “More than I have to give.”

Obrecht arrives and says, “What is going on here?”  “Absolutely nothing,” Cody says as he exits. Obrecht asks what is going on, and Britt breaks down and cries “I’m sick.”

In the lobby of , the officer cuffs the briefcase with the necklace to Robert’s wrist. He reveals he’s going to turn it over to some WSB agents at the Metro Court. One of Victor’s men overhears this and calls Victor.Elsewhere, Michael and Willow arrive for her first chemo appointment. They run into Carly, and soon after TJ appears. Willow whisks TJ aside to talk to him about her pregnancy. While they are alone, Carly asks Michael how everything is going. Michael reveals Willow wants to find her birth parents. Carly is stunned and asks what changed her mind. Michael simply says with the baby coming, they thought it could be important to have all the medical information available to them.  He makes no mention of Willow’s leukemia to Carly.

Nearby, Willow admits to TJ that she feels like a coward not letting anyone know she’s sick. TJ assures her that she’s not a coward. TJ and Willow rejoin Carly and Michael. Carly asks TJ if he and Molly have plans for Thanksgiving. He explains Alexis is going to Sonny’s, but they thought that might be awkward. Carly is confused, so Michael tells her about Nina’s accusations about Willow and TJ having an affair. Carly is livid and storms off.

At Kelly’s Diner, Linc asked Brook Lynn to help him salvage his less than stellar reputation. In exchange, Linc said he would give back to Brook Lynn the remaining contents of her catalog. Brook Lynn was incredulous.  She couldn’t believe that Linc was now suggesting she agree to rehabilitate his reputation in return for the songs that he virtually stole from her.

Chase joined them, and he asked Brook Lynn directly if she was okay with whatever Linc had proposed. Brook Lynn hesitantly said that she and Linc were on good terms, and Linc left. Chase told Brook Lynn that he trusted her to do the right thing. Brook Lynn appeared no where near as certain as Chase was as they walked outside.

Earlier, Chase was surprised to learn that Dante had asked for Brook Lynn’s help in getting Chase reinstated as a detective. Chase pointedly asked Dante how long ago he had made the request and Dante told him it had been weeks. Chase wondered if Brook Lynn had ever intended to send a letter on his behalf to the review board. Dante told Chase not to simply assume the worst about Brook Lynn.

In Britt’s office at the hospital, Britt told Liesl that her Huntington’s disease had advanced. She told her Liesl that the specialist had given her between five to 15 years to live. Britt said that within a year, she might require around-the-clock care. Liesl said that they were both intelligent, talented doctors and that they would not let the disease win so easily.  But, Britt was not having it.  She told Liesl that she needed a mother, not a doctor.  Liesl said that she could do that, but she stated that Britt deserved a better mother.  They cried together.  Britt asked Liesl to go home to Scott.  But, Liesl couldn’t stand the thought of Britt being alone.

At Volonino’s Gym, Drew told Sonny that he was searching for Willow’s biological mother at the requested of Willow and Michael. Sonny shared that he had heard the failed merger between Aurora and ELQ had recently caused trouble between Drew and Carly. Drew seemed surprised when Sonny said that Carly had felt the need to tell Sonny about her relationship with Drew. Drew asked how Sonny had reacted, and Sonny recalled that he had told Carly that he was happy for her. “Well, that was nice of you to say. Did you mean it?” Drew asked. Sonny said that he had been sincere when he had wished Carly well, and he added that he only wanted what was best for Carly because she was Donna’s mother.

At the Metro Court restaurant, Carly and Nina bickered at each other over Nina’s misinterpretation of Carly’s visit to Brick’s room at the Metro Court. The argument grew ugly and at one point, Carly took a bowl of soup from Trish, a waitress who had walked by. Carly eventually returned the bowl to the waitress after Sonny and Drew appeared. Carly said that she had been tempted to throw the soup in Nina’s face, but she claimed she had refused because she had too much respect for the hotel and its staff.

Sonny convinced Nina to walk away. Afterwards, Carly was surprised when Drew said he would help Willow search for her birth mother. Carly had yet another flashback to months earlier when she had learned that Nina was Willow’s biological mother. Carly then told Drew that she would help with the search for Willow’s mom.

At Pier 55, Valentin was surprised to find Martin, who was still grieving the loss of Lucy. Martin said that Anna had murdered Lucy. Valentin swore that Martin was wrong about Anna, but Martin said that Valentin’s judgment was clouded by his love for Anna. Valentin offered sincere apologies to Martin, who added that he wished Lucy hadn’t gone to the pier on the night of the gunshot. Valentin clarified that there had been two shots fired instead of one. Martin wondered what Valentin’s point had been. “If Anna was the shooter, she wouldn’t need two shots, especially at close range,” Valentine reiterated.

Valentin told Martin to come with him because the two had work to do. “Go where?” Martin asked. “To find out what happened to Lucy,” Valentin answered.

In the restaurant at the Metro Court, Robert waited for his WSB contact to appear. Diane joined Robert, who shared that the briefcase that was handcuffed to him contained diamonds from the Ice Princess. Diane was intrigued with being so close to the famed Ice Princess. Holly joined them, and Robert introduced her to Diane. Robert ordered tequila shots for the table. Robert said that Holly was someone he trusted with his life. Holly said that she and Diane had both cheated death, and then excused herself for a moment. When Holly was away, Diane told Robert that she was lovely and said she could see why Robert was so fond of her.  Robert warned Diane that she could be duplicitous. Holly returned to the table and found a way to drug Robert without he or Diane noticing.  Robert wanted Holly to do a shot with him, but Holly claimed she had to watch her salt intake. Holly and Diane had a conversation, and Robert grew quiet. Diane asked Robert a question, and suddenly, Robert’s head fell to the table.

Diane was concerned about Robert. Holly claimed that he just wasn’t able to handle his liquor anymore. Robert appeared to have been drugged, but he said he needed to stay at Metro Court to wait for the WSB contact. Holly convinced Robert to leave with her.

After Robert and Holly left, Diane left a voice message for Robert. Diane shared that she hadn’t had a good feeling about Robert being alone with Holly. Diane hung up, and she was stunned when Robert stumbled off the elevator. He appeared to have been assaulted and the suitcase that had been cuffed to his wrist was gone.

Elsewhere, Holly opened the box in the suitcase that had contained the necklace. She pulled the necklace from the box and held it in her hands.

Primetime TV Review: “Generation Gap”

TV Review!

“Generation Gap” Review on ABC by Eva 7/8/2022

I am so glad summer is here because ABC has its summer game shows return to the network. The latest entry into the summer game show line up for ABC is Generation Gap. As the name implies, it highlights the gap between the older generation and the younger generation.

The object of the game is to find out how much trivia the younger generation knows about the older generation and vice versa. Kelly Rippa asks the teams trivia questions over several rounds of play and the team with the most money goes home with the cash and a special bonus prize. The teams are made up of grandparents and grandchildren or aunts and uncles with their nieces and nephews. The most fun part for me is laughing at the wrong answers that are given to the questions because you just can’t help yourself.

Warner Bros. TCA panel with actors from "Batwoman," "The Bachelor" and "Bob Hearts Abishola"

Interview with Warner Bros. actors by Suzanne 2/14/22

This was a fun panel for TCA (Television Critics Association) put on by Warner Brothers. I enjoyed the one they did last year, so I knew I would love this one, too. They didn’t disappoint.  Last year’s was about comedy, and this year’s was about romance (since it was held on Valentine’s Day). It was called “With Love, Warner Bros. Television Group” and featured some of their best romances from their current shows: Javicia Leslie (Ryan Wilder) & Meagan Tandy (Sophie Moore) from Batwoman, Billy Gardell (Bob) & Folake Olowofoyeku (Abishola) from Bob  Abishola, and Clayton Echard from The Bachelor.

I never miss an episode of “Batwoman” or “Bob Abishola,” so it was great to see the actors here. I’ve spoken with Javicia before, but it was great to see Meagan Tandy as well. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to ask a question this time around, but I enjoyed being there.

First, Javicia and Meagan were asked if they feel any special responsibility, since they’re the “first black lesbian leading couple on a superhero show.” Javicia answered that the whole show was a huge responsibility and featured many firsts. They make sure that they present themselves in a good way, both on- and off-camera, especially since their audience includes many children. It’s important to them to show a positive representation. Meagan agreed with that. She realized, after talking with teens, that having LGBTQ and black women on their show is a lot bigger than just the actors. She tries to tell the stories as authentically as she can. She was also asked about going from loving Kate to being with Ryan. She admitted that it was a “love rollercoaster” for Sophie, since she was married to man and in the closet in the first season. Then she had to deal with her feelings for Kate, and then all that happened with Kate leaving, and then Ryan coming into the picture. She said that it was “quite the journey for her,” but it’s been fun for her as an actor.

Javicia was asked whether she had been more concerned beforehand about taking over the physical part of playing Batwoman, or the emotional parts (with all of her family and romantic relationships). Javicia said she was most worried about whether the fans would approve of her or not, since she’s a superhero fan herself and loves “Batman.” She wasn’t worried about the physicality because she had done martial arts before, which is fun. She’s a dramatic actor, so she loves crying and all that. She loves that there are many fans of the show who love “Batwoman,” even if they may have lost some comic fans who don’t like that it’s not the Batman or Batwoman that they knew from the comics. She’s proud to be a part of this “new representation.” She tweets with her fans all the time, and they make it worth while for her. She’s “honored” to be a part of the show’s fanbase.

All of the actors were asked, which TV shows they used to watch that taught them “the most about love and how it gave you more perspective.”

Ryan and Sophie kissing on "Batwoman"Javicia spoke about the show “Martin” and how the characters Martin and Gina teased each other. It showed her that you need to have friendship and laughter in a relationship. She also mentioned watching the show “Family Matters” and other shows from that time.

Meagan said that she watched those shows, too, but her favorite was “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” because it was about a whole family’s love for each other, not just a couple. Her friends all loved the Disney movies with princess, which she didn’t like. Now they tease her because she’s in her 30’s and not married, but she has a boyfriend, so she hopes they’ll make it work. Javicia spoke encouraging to her about her boyfriend, saying, “Y’all will,” which was very cute. Then Meagan replied, “We’ll see where he takes me to dinner tonight,” and everyone laughed.

Meagan was asked about Sophie falling for two Batwomen and whether that’s her “type,” and also whether she’ll be talking to the writers about suiting up, like everyone else has. Meagan chattered about how originally she wasn’t going to be with Ryan, but then they changed their minds. Also, she was with Julia, who had also dressed like Batwoman, so it was really three Batwomans that Sophie was with. She joked about it, saying she probably has a bit of a fetish. She said that she doesn’t know about getting any kind of superhero suit. She was wearing the Crows uniform, but now that’s gone. She finished with, “So, for now, it’s just the suit of love,” which made everyone laugh.

Javicia and Meagan were asked what they thought people loved about superheroes – is it the need to be protected, or the need to be strong? Why do we fall in love with them? Javicia thinks that her partner is a superhero because a great partner puts your needs before their own, which is “attractive” and “sexy.” So is maybe having kids one day. She thinks that having a person out there saving everyone and helping people makes them attractive and you feel protected and it “just feels like home.” She said it seems to be the same kind of theme with all of them. Meagan agreed with that. She also observed that previous Batman actors were always portrayed by someone “who was really hot,” which made her desire them a bit. She also said that having a protector who is kind and honest, who wants to save people and “doing bigger work than themselves.” She hopes that might inspire people to be like that. Then there’s the fantasy aspect of having a super suit that keeps them protected.

Billy was asked about his Ozempic commercial and whether it was made, in part, to advertise his show. Billy seemed a bit taken aback by the question. It was a very odd question. Billy told us honestly that he didn’t do the commercial for that reason. He had developed Type 2 diabetes, and he had been on a medication that helped him. They asked him to try their medication, so he did, and he waited a year to make sure it worked before he agreed to do the commercial. It helped him get healthier, and not he doesn’t have to take ANY medication. He was able to “turn the corner,” thanks to the medication and being on the right track. He figured he would do the commercial to help others who might need help as well. He just wanted to hold himself accountable to it. He added, “I had to take that journey.” The journalist who asked that question told him that he did look great (and he does!).

Billy and Folake were asked about the possibility of their characters having a baby together on the show. Billy talked in general about how you have to have the discussion with your partner in marriage about whether you’re going to have children, and when, and that the relationships evolve and change. He said that their ages might be factor, and they might have to discuss that. He gave the example of whether Bob would be asking Abishola, “are you gonna be changing my diaper and the baby’s diaper?” Everyone laughed at that. He then praised the show, saying that “it’s never preachy.” It’s just two people in love and trying to do the best they can to be open and honest with each other, to be a strong couple. He told us that he’s been married for 22 years in real life. Folake talked about how much she has enjoyed the season, especially when they went to Nigeria. She says she watches those scenes over and over and loves how they were able to “share a Yoruba wedding with the world.” She also previewed that there are some good scenes coming “with the entire cast.” They’re going to have “a sock commercial,” which will be “really entertaining.” Neither of them really answered much about the baby plot point. They were obviously trying not to share any spoilers.

It was interesting to hear Folake’s real accent. She’s from Nigeria, but she went to boarding school, so she doesn’t have nearly as much of an accent as Abishola does.

In answer to the TV question, Billy talked about how much he loved “The Honeymooners” growing up, which his dad shared with him. He said that at the end of the day, Ralph knew that no matter how much he had messed up, his wife loved him, which made him a little bit more humble. He thinks that’s still a great message. Folake said that she used to watch Spanish telenovelas with the other girls at school, so that’s where she got most of her TV love experience.

Bob and Abishola kissing at their wedding on "Bob Hearts Abishola"They were each asked what they liked best about their real-life “sweethearts”. Folake replied that hers are her cats, which are named Bob and Abishola! She said, “They’re very adventurous and they can take on coyotes!” Billy said that he likes best about his wife that she stays with him. He went on a bit about how great she is: “She’s an amazing woman, and she has always been my rock.” He says that you should always do whatever your wife says. (As a wife, I agree with that)

They were also asked if they were surprised that the show has been embraced so well, given America’s problems with race. Billy said that he wasn’t surprised because the show is about love, and “love is always the secret sauce.” He said it so beautifully, that the audience knows it’s about love, and how the two love each other but have crazy families, and the show is also about how these families merge and can look past their differences. He stated, “it’s the common thread that we all share. In this world, all anybody wants is someone to love, somewhere to live, and a way to pay for that. If you keep it that simple I think people identify with it.”

Folake agreed that the show is all about love, which is what we all want. She also added that it was always going to be successful because it has Chuck Lorre in charge, and his whole production team that is so well-run. She finished with, “everyone is on their A-game, myself included, because we want to live up to that standard.” Billy agreed to that, too. She says it’s not surprising at all, and she thinks it has effects worldwide. It does very well in Africa and India.

Billy was also asked how much weight he’s loss, and he told us that he’s lost 102 pounds. It really does show. He joked that he would like to go on “The Bachelor” next year.

Folake also added her own comments in to the question about why we like superheroes so much. She thinks that is makes a great escape for viewers to just imagine being in that world. She also complimented the show, saying “this generation of Batwoman is like literally the Batwoman of my dreams. I wish I grew up on this shit. I wish I was a kid growing up watching you guys. It is so awesome. You guys are doing a great job.”

Billy loves the superhero stuff and sharing it with his son. He thinks there’s a “hopefulness with it, and I think that’s what superheroes give you, and it’s the feeling of safety. You feel like, wow, I wish someone was out there looking out for us like that.” He also agrees that it’s a way for people to escape, like Folake said.

Clayton was asked how he’s celebrating Valentine’s Day this year (even though he can’t tell us with whom he’s celebrating). He was also asked whether the show helped him with his holiday plans or if they hindered them. Clayton answered that he was recovering today from a “really fun weekend,” so he was drinking a lot of water and trying to save his voice, which was “a little shot.” He said that the dates on the show were “incredible” and he certainly did some things that set the bar very high, but of course he has to be realistic in the future (and on his own budget).

Clayton was also asked about what he learned with being on the show, especially about dating, relationships and what he might not have been doing before. Clayton gave the question some thought before answering. He admitted that he learned a lot, and watching it now on TV has also taught him a lot. He said that learning how to “pick up on body cues” was something that he had previously missed because there is a lot you can miss if you only pay attention to verbal cues. He added that he’s learning more about himself and “how to be a better person” so that he do better in the future.

Clayton replied to the question about TV shows to say that “Spongebob Squarepants” was the one that showed him the most about love. He enjoyed the friendship between Spongebob and Patrick. It showed him that “good friends stand by each other.” He said that we all want that love from both friends and family. Meagan agreed with him about it, saying she watched that show, too.

Clayton also answered about the superheroes. He said that “we’re all dreamers in some aspect, and so as kids we’re told to dream big. And that’s where these superhero movies really allow us to – as we grow up on them, watching them fight and all that – see their super powers. We hope, as we’re kids, to be able to have those same super powers.” We know that we can’t really be that way, but when we’re grownups, we remember that time, back when we were kids and thought we could be Batman or Superman.

This was a fun chat with the cast and producers of the show. I asked Brandy (Norwood) and Eve (Jihan Jeffers) about the differences they’re feeling between doing their comedies long ago and this show now. Brandy starred in “Moesha” in the 90’s and Eve starred in “Eve” 2003-2009. They had great answers to my question. I had said “a long time ago” and then stopped myself because I didn’t want to sound like I was calling them old! I said, “And I don’t want to make it sound that long…” and Eve said, kindly, “It was a long time ago. A long time ago.”

Brandy spoke about the differences between doing that sitcom, where they would rehearse all week and then shoot before a live audience. This show is shot like a movie. She admitted, “It’s a little bit more challenging, but I love the challenge. So, I absolutely love the way that we shoot and how we have to learn things quick. And it just keeps you on your toes.”

Eve answered that she was very young, “the youngest person on the cast. So I was running from clubs to table reads, which is — I never recommend that at all.” She beamed that it’s nice to be back working as a woman and to be “working with an ensemble again that I actually feel really close to.” She was close to the people on “Eve” as well, and she enjoys that. She loves being able to create a new character that has some parallels to her own life. She said, “Definitely, I’m finding some, like, new things and being able to do — and to be like a rapper, a different rapper, an alter ego, to a certain extent. So I mean, it’s — there’s a lot. There’s a lot. And I would have to say, as much as I loved my show then, I’m able to enjoy it even more now, with maturity.”

Brandy chimed in again to say that the fact that this new show has music is a bonus for her.

Normally, I refer to all interviewees by their last names, as a sign of respect and professionalism, but since these actresses/singers go by their first names, it seems kind of silly to do that in this particular interview, so I’m not going to do that.

Other questions were asked by journalists at this TCA panel. One asked them whether the show will be playing up the rivalry between the characters or whether it will be more about their friendship. He/she observed that from what he/she had seen already, “it seems like you’re laying the groundwork here for more sisterhood.” Brandy and Eve agreed with that last statement. Nadine also agreed that they’re showing more of the friendships between the women. “I think our show is about sisterhood and family. And you fight with your family, and these are people that have been brought back together after a long period of time. And we have fights, but we want to see people supporting one another and coming back together. There’s always going to be arguments. There’s always going to be a hierarchy that exists, and shifting. But we do want to be on the friendship more so than a rivalry or bickering or backstabbing.”

A reporter asked Swizz Beatz how he chose his name (he was formerly “Kasseem Dean”) and how he found his voice and style as producer. Swizz Beatz replied that he got the name growing up in the Bronx. The name started out as “K-Swiss” because he wore Kicks sneakers, and then he became “DJ K-Swizz,” which evolved into “Swizz Beatz.” He answered the second part of the question that he just found his voice by doing the music. He asserted, “I just wanted to be disruptive, and I just wanted to make people happy.”

A member of the press noticed that the premiere had some connections to their real-life pasts and wondered if that was something that would continue throughout. Eve said that they want to be very authentic, especially about the times they lived through. There will be “moments” from them. “When people listen to the music, when they see our outfits, they see our hair, everything, we want them to be transported back to that moment. So it’s all about the authenticity.” Brandy agreed with that.

He/she also asked whether Eve will be coming out with a new album (besides the music from the series). Eve pointed out that Swizz would be the one to determine that, and Brandy would be involved as well.

Sabrina Wind suggested that the music from the show will be great, and she can’t wait for us to hear it. Eve jumped in on that to agree that the music is “incredible.” She liked doing the music for the series because it was a way to dip back into music “without having the actual pressure of an album.”

This was the next question for the cast, which was a good one: “Do you find doing rap more like singing or more like acting, or is it its own performance style completely? Or is it a blend of the two?”

Naturi Naughton answered first that she thinks rap has it’s own style but is a lot harder work than just singing. She’s a singer but felt that doing the dancing, performing, etc. was exhausting, and that she wasn’t in shape enough for it. She added, “I’m having so much fun. I never knew I could really rhyme, and I actually feel like I’m — I’m feeling myself a little bit.”

Brandy replied that she always loved rap and has “been a hip-hop head from since the ’90s.” She loves to rap as well as sing, but she says the rapping they do on the show “is really, really difficult. It’s so fun and so challenging, and I absolutely love it.”

Nadine Velazques said honestly that she’s never rapped before, but she’s loving it now. She’s been finding new rap music, listening to it and studying rappers to hear things that she’s never heard before. She concludedthat  it definitely used her acting ability because she’s never done it before.

Pepi Sonuga said thoughtfully that acting like her character, Muffin is all about acting. She tries to break the script down into different acting techniques. Then, when it comes to the rap, it’s different. “When I’m breaking down a rap, I get to colors and animals. I might say ‘This chunk reminds me of rapping like a fox, and then a bunny.’ Or like, ‘This is green,’ you know. So it’s really cool. I break down the raps just how I would break down a script. Because she’s so out there, I get to use all these techniques I’ve learned but never got to use before.”

They were asked more about the raps – some of them are more like soliloquies with a beat behind them, rather than a conventional song.

Eve agreed, saying, “I think what we want to convey is that, you know, we want to bring the artistry back to hip-hop. We want to bring back those amazing stories. We want to bring back the lyricism, which is what I’ve always been attracted to as an MC. And really rap means rhythm and poetry. You know what I mean? So we want to — you know, we want to give emotion and really show how skillful hip-hop really can be, used to be, is, depending on who the artist is.”

Zajor McGhee put in his own two cents that they always want the music tied to the story. When people have asked him before about the show, he explains that they’re not just a show with music, but more of a musical show. They use the music to help us learn about the characters and what’s going on. “And those are little tidbits that I think make the music not only amazing, with the job Swizz had done, and the amazing job these women do performing it, but we are always pushing our story forward if you were paying attention to the lyrics. And then on top of that, you can just dance. When I get to practice to Swizz, I just dance in my house.” Swizz Beatz thanked him for that.

A journalist reminded Brandy that she and her husband interviewed her (Brandy) quite a few times in the past (early in her career), and she was very ambitious back then during those interviews. Brandy had said that she wanted to do it all. She wanted her own show, to sing in records, concerts and movies, and to produce. She said, “You wanted to be a queen back then.” Brandy was surprised to hear from her. She said that Brandy had “ticked off a lot of those boxes” and asked, “What boxes are left, and what gave you that ambition to be Queen Brandy way back at the start?”

Brandy suggested that the passion is something you’re born with. She said you go after the things you dream about. She’s always wanted to sing and inspire people. She felt it was her purpose, so she pursued it. She tied the question into “Queens,” saying that it’s a blessing because she gets to do all of the things she loves in one show, “with amazing people. And I’m just so excited. I can’t even believe this is happening or that it’s even real. So I’m just in the moment, excited.”

Brandy was asked about her future and long-term goals. She would like to do this for as long as she can and to do more film and more music. “I love music, until the day I die. So it’s more to do.”

About the show, the cast was asked where the names came from and whether it would really be possible for a group like this to “reboot” and try to make it in the music business again. Nadine quipped, “Not without a Valeria.” Naturia thinks it might be easier to reboot because they “have things like Verses, for example. We should revive the music and give even a new generation an opportunity. So thanks, Swizz, for doing things like that. Even things like social media. We are able to bring old school to the new school. So if a group like New Edition or a group like Nasty B’s wants to revive themselves — I actually think it’s very possible and attainable if they want to. That’s actually what our show explores. Do you really want this life again? That’s the question.”

Saladin pointed out that Backstreet Boys did a reunion tour as well as New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men… “We’re seeing it happen a lot in the world. So I think people are passionate for the good times that they had back in the day, and what those memories are.”

Zahir couldn’t give specific reasons how he came up with the characters’ names. He said, “one by one, when I was thinking about the show, the names sort of came to me first. And I would pitch them to, like, my reps as they’d come up with a new name. But how they came about, I really don’t have any idea.” Then the cast members joked around for a minute about the names.

A reported noted that the group of artists is unusual “you have …former solo artists and girl group singers, rappers, and singers.” She asked how they got them together and whether it was a big adjustment for Nadine (who never rapped or sang before).

Nadine admitted, in a very sweet speech, that she was intimidated by the idea, but she “was ready to face the things that I’ve been keeping from the world. So, you know, I am musical in my soul. I am a poet in my soul. I am a dancer. And she’s in there. And this job is making her come out. And I’ve been hiding her forever. I’m going to cry. And like — the support of Eve, and the way that Tim Story supports, and Brandy supports, they gave me life to just, like, every scene bring her out more and more. And I’ve had a really traumatic experience in the entertainment business, because I was so afraid to show so much. But I get to be that here. And so, like, kind of like the character; it’s like a second chance, and it’s like an opportunity to become something, to redefine myself, just like these characters are.”

No one answered the reporter’s first question after that, unfortunately. That happens sometimes in these panels.

A reporter reminded Nadine that when he/she interviewed her a few years ago, she said that she doesn’t do singing and dancing. He/she asked how she was handling choreography for the show. Nadine replied that she feels like she has two left feet, but she’s getting it. She’s had tremendous growth since the pilot and feels a lot more comfortable and free with her dancing.

Taylor was asked if he’s playing “a composite of producers and managers that we’ve heard about from the past.” Taylor answered in a sort of roundabout way. “I think I’m playing a full and complex human being who is on a quest for self—discovery and searching for meaning. And I think producers in the past have been on that journey themselves. They’re human beings. So I’m trying my best not to be a caricature, but behind the scenes, when they get to see this character, he’s confronting himself in many ways. And that’s where his growth will come from. And hopefully people can relate to that.”

Brandy and Eve were asked this question, “each of you are adapting sort of different aspects of your styles in these characters. How did that combination work?”

Eve said that when they all first got together, they just instantly clicked. The others agreed. She did specify that they all were used to working different ways, so they had to make adjustments. She was used to doing dance rehearsals a certain way, for instance. She admitted that she got frustrated because she was having trouble with the steps. She added, “But it just was like Nadine said, it’s the support of each other that has helped all of us be able to gel together. And the respect for one another. And the understanding that we all do work in different ways. And we’re still learning and gelling. It’s honestly been incredible, really.”

Brandy added her own feelings, that she wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else because it’s “magical” with this group. Naturi added, “I always wanted sisters growing up, and now I feel like I’ve got them.” Brandy said, “And you’ve got them, girl.” It was a very sweet, genuine moment.

Zahir was asked who inspired him for the character Li’l Muffin. He said that he was “just inspired by the freedom and the character of all of the rappers that are out today, whether that’s Nicki or, you know, Cardi, Megan. You know, Rico Nasty, right? Like, they’re just out there. And part of it is an image thing, but also there’s a level of self—expression with these young artists today that didn’t exist. Megan, in one of the songs, is rapping about Sasuke. And I looked it up, and it’s an anime character, or whatever. And I’m like, ‘Wow, hip-hop has changed.’ But that’s cool, you know.” He went on to say that Li’l Muffin is a combination of all of these artists. He was impressed with the way Pepi came in and just nailed the character and then brought it to another level.

Swizz Beatz was asked how he keeps the lyrics of the music “fresh and entertaining and on trend.”

Swizz said that he grew up doing this type of thing in the 90’s and liked reliving his youth. He said, “doing it in 2021, it just feels good. It feels natural. And being that it’s a show, I get to have extra fun, you know. I don’t have to be so serious with the music. You know, we can have fun and put risky things in there and, you know, make the characters come out even more. So it’s been a fun journey.”

A journalist asked Brandy about going from “Disney Princess” to “ABC Queen” – what will her fans from “Cinderella” think about this new show?

Brandy thinks they’ll enjoy it because it’s versatile and very different. She’s definitely not a princess on this show.

The others commented that Brandy is very different on “Queens.” Nadine said, “She’s very powerful on the show, very. Very badass and raw and beautiful.”

Taylor chimed in to say that, “Zahir has been able to capture with his writing, the evolution of human beings, with the spirit and people fighting for what they want and fighting themselves. Just watching these women work every day, just not only as artists but as performers, has been inspiring to learn something from them every day. So I think that’s what fans will really grasp and feel when you watch this.”

Another reporter asks what makes this show different from shows like “Star” and “Girls5eva.” I would have asked this question, too, so I’m glad someone did. Zahir answered that he thinks there is room for all of their shows, although he’s not a regular viewer of the other shows. He wasn’t able to compare them very well. As he said earlier, this is more of a musical and character drama about the women and their lives, “and second chances.” He thinks those other shows “were potentially a little more focused on the music business.” Actually, I would say it’s a lot like a combination of both shows.

He also pointed out that many of the people in their cast were around in the music business back in the 90s, so that gives their show, “a certain level of authenticity.” He also doesn’t think most networks have a show with “five women of color and a man of color front and center.” He said, “we have the opportunity to tell the breadth of stories about the experience of women of color and Black women in this country that isn’t the pressure of Eve having to be the one Black character to say the thing that matters, right? Like we are varied; we’re great. We are beautiful. And I think that the time was yesterday for this show, and the time is today, and the time is tomorrow for this show.”

Ava: Paul, I appreciate the protection. You know I do. But could you please maybe be just a little less obtrusive, like maybe 10 feet back, perhaps?

Paul: Sure, Mrs. Cassadine.

Ava: Jerome, okay? Ms. Jerome.

Paul: Jerome.

Ava: Trina.

Trina: Hey. How are you doing? [ Chuckles ] Thanks for meeting me.

Ava: Oh, no, it’s my absolute pleasure. Tell me, what’s going on in your life? How’s the new guy? Any developments?

Spencer: Looking for a chair? I saved one for you.

Britt: That line doesn’t work when I can sit anywhere.

Spencer: Come on. You know you want to sit next to me.

Britt: Spencer? [ Gasps ] Oh!

Shawn: First dinner as a free man. My compliments to the chef and the lady who made it happen.

Jordan: Oh, the chef and I thank you. Watching you eat that meal was truly a sight to behold.

Shawn: Why? Because I barely stopped to breathe?

[ Both laugh ]

Shawn: I’m glad you convinced TJ and molly to continue their romantic evening instead of hanging out with us.

Jordan: It took some doing, but did you see the smile on TJ’s face when he saw you walk in here?

Shawn: Well, he’ll get sick of me soon enough, since I’ll be staying with them at Alexis’ house.

Jordan: I don’t know, they both keep pretty busy schedules. I doubt you’ll see them much.

Shawn: Still, I want to get up from out of there, find my own place, get a job, and get on with what I need to do.

Jordan: That being…?

Shawn: Jordan, you know what I’m talking about. I intend to find out who really shot Hayden.

Terry:  Finally.

Portia: I’m so sorry. It’s just all this paperwork.

Terry:  It never ends, does it?

Portia: [ Sighs ]

Terry:  I just have to change, but I’m so excited that you’re coming out for a drink tonight.

Portia: Me too. You know, I’m actually looking forward to a relaxing, uncomplicated evening. So, where do you want to go? Do you want to go to the Port Charles Grill or Metro Court?

Terry:  Oh, no. The only place to be is opening night at The Savoy.

Curtis: Wow. How we doing?

N’neka: The Savoy signature cocktail is a definite hit.

Curtis: Well, hiring a mixologist was one of my smarter moves.

Brando: Curtis Ashford.

Curtis: Uh, Brando.

Brando: Yeah. Nice to meet you. I’ve heard nothing but good things about you.

Curtis: Well, thank you. And enjoy your time at The Savoy.

Brando: I will, man. And congratulations. This place is great.

Curtis: Thank you. I now leave you in the capable hands of my bartender, N’neka.

Brando: Hey.

N’neka: Hey. Try our signature Savoy?

Brando: Actually, house craft beer will be fine. And start a tab. This could be a long night.

Spinelli: Oh, I second that. Um, another vodka orange soda, barkeep. [ Clears throat ] Mr. Corbin. Have you too come to drown your sorrows?

Brando: Something like that.

Spinelli: Ah. Allow me to speculate. An affair of the heart.

[ Indistinct conversations ]

Michael: Oh, oh, hey! Sorry! Sasha, I’m so sorry. One second. Uh…

Sasha: Thank you.

Michael: Oh, hey. “Infant nutrition,” “what to eat while you’re breastfeeding”? I’m sensing a doctor’s appointment.

Sasha: Close — nutrition class. Got to start this little person off right. What about you? Board meeting?

Michael: Close — visiting my grandmother. Well, you know, you got things figured out since our last conversation.

Sasha: I’m trying. I intend to give my baby everything he or she needs.

Michael: You know, you don’t have to do it all on your own. I’m sure Brando would want to be there.

Sasha: I’m sure he would. I’m just not so sure I want him to be.

Chase: Hey.

Willow: Hey.

Chase: Are you finished with class?

Willow: Yes. How about you? You almost ready to go?

Chase: Almost there.

physical therapist: You put in some good work today. Soon you’ll be over there walking.

Chase: Well, why wait? Let’s do this.

Jordan: I know how important clearing your name is to you. I’m just concerned about how you intend to do it.

Shawn: Carefully. Look, Jordan, I pled guilty even though I knew I was innocent because I knew I had things to atone for. But attempting to kill Hayden Barnes was not one of them. And taking responsibility for something I did not do, I inadvertently covered up a would-be murderer, someone who really wanted Hayden dead — and damn near succeeded. That person should be brought to justice.

Jordan: I know. But because you confessed and pled guilty, the D.A. suspended the investigation into Hayden’s shooting. Five years is long enough for a case to go cold. I mean, there is still a chance that the perp that made the attempt could be found.

Nikolas: I apologize for interrupting, but I need to know, has the PCPD made any progress per the search for Ava’s stalker?

Portia: You know, I’ve been looking forward to the Metro Court zucchini sticks all day.

Terry: I love them, too. Let’s go there for dinner after. The Savoy is drinks only.

Portia: We can get dinner and drinks there. You know, one-stop shopping.

Terry: It’s The Savoy’s opening night. I want to be where the action is.

Portia: Yeah, but that’s just it. It’s gonna be all crowded and noisy.

Terry: Who doesn’t love crowded and noisy?

Portia: Let’s just go another night. After all the hype and everything has gone down.

Terry: Okay, spill.

Portia: What?

Terry: What’s the real reason you don’t want to go?

Britt: When did you get back? Wait, is this why you ghosted me months ago? You were planning a surprise?

Spencer: I didn’t ghost you. I was busy with graduation. And then I took some time afterwards touring Europe.

Britt: Britt: Wow. Listen to you sounding all continental.

Spencer: Mm-hmm.

Britt: Let’s sit. I want to hear all about the crazy things you did to celebrate graduation.

Ava: Oh, no, don’t tell me that — what’s his name again?

Trina: Uh…

Ava: Victor.  Please don’t tell me this Victor turned out to be some kind of creep.

Trina: Undecided.

Ava: What did he do?

Trina: He’s charming and fun, but he’s also totally unreliable. Plus, there’s some weirdness between him and his family, and I’m not sure what to do about it.

Chase: [ Grunts ]

Willow: There you go.

physical therapist: Now, I’m gonna let go of you. Let’s see if you can stand on your own.

Chase: Okay.

Willow: Chase!

Britt: Does Nikolas realize you’re home? Or does he think you’re still wandering around Europe?

Spencer: Father knows. I surprised him at Wyndemere.

Britt: So, things are better between you?

Spencer: Eh, define “better.”

Britt: Look, you had every right to be angry with him.

Spencer: But I should be over it by now?

Britt: He let you believe he was dead for three years. You thought you were an orphan. Those aren’t things anyone just gets over. And if you said you did, I’d be worried about you.

Spencer: Then you don’t have to worry.

Britt: But getting through anger is a process, Spencer. It is possible to come out the other side if you keep moving forward.

Spencer: Do you speak from experience?

Britt: Yeah. I mean, I’m not always successful at letting go of my anger, but I understand it’s necessary and it’s a goal I’m working toward.

Spencer: And you think that I should do the same?

Britt: I think…if you don’t rebuild the relationship with your father, it will hurt him, no question. But it will also hurt you.

Spencer: I’m here, aren’t I? Supporting Father in his time of need.

Britt: Are you referring to the divorce from Ava? Because Nikolas has definitely been on edge, making wild accusations. Did he tell you about the stalker?

Nikolas: This has been going on for a month now. The threats are escalating. Ava’s gallery was trashed. The stalker was able to leave a toy in Avery’s room. It is unacceptable that there’s been —

Stella: Shawn Butler?

Jordan: Stella, whatever you have to say, just —

Shawn: I’m okay, Jordan. Yes, ma’am, I’m Shawn Butler. And you’re Ms. Henry, Thomas’ aunt. I can’t tell you how sorry —

Stella: I’m not interested in your contrition. But I do have a few things to say to the man who killed my nephew.

Brando: Put it on my tab. It’s the least I can do after you helped rescue my mom and me from Renault.

Spinelli: Well, it was a — thanks — it was my honor. [ Exhales sharply ] Gratified that someone appreciated my efforts.

Brando: You were taken hostage. I mean, Renault was gonna trade you for my mother. I’m thankful that we got out okay.

Spinelli: Sorry. Physical safety is cause for relief. But, unfortunately, my — my heart became collateral damage. See, my partner, Ellie, became increasingly alarmed by my association with the Corinthos organization and the ensuing threat of — of danger and violence. And she wanted me to get out. And when I balked, she walked.

Brando: She left you?

Spinelli: Ellie realized that if she wanted to make a change, to build a new life, maybe have a future with someone else, that she had to start now. So she did. [ Chuckles ] She’s gone.

Brando: Sorry. That’s rough. Were you together long?

Spinelli: Nine years. We were — we were — we were raising my daughter together, mostly in Oregon. We were a happy family unit. But when we relocated to Queens Point, I became more involved with my friends and their business. And, at one point, Ellie said, “can you be a friend and not participate in the ancillary activities?” But it’s just not possible. With my area of expertise, my area of expertise is so invaluable to my friends, but not only that, I… I savor the challenge. I like doing what I do and knowing that I’m good at it. Alas, it has cost me a relationship that I greatly treasured.

Michael: Did something happen between you and Brando?

Sasha: Brando is a great guy. I like him on almost every level.

Michael: Almost.

Sasha: I think we want different things for our lives.

Michael: Okay. I’m not sure I follow exactly, but sometimes guys take a beat to process and fully embrace what parenthood might mean for their lives, so that might be it.

Sasha: That is not it. Brando definitely wants to be involved. I’m the one who’s not sure how that’s gonna look.

Michael: Noted. Alright. I’m gonna take my two cents and just be on my way, then.

Sasha: No, you don’t have to leave. All I’m saying is that I am ready to do it alone if I have to. Be a single mom.

Michael: At the — at the risk of wading back into deep water — here, have a seat. Look, being a parent isn’t always a picnic, let alone being a single parent. And I have all the confidence that you’ll manage. But I just — I want you to go into it with your eyes wide open. Okay? Also, I’m available for any, you know, new-parent freakouts you may have. I’m pretty sure I invented some of them, so I’m at your service.

Sasha: [ Laughs ]

Michael: Also, just so you know, I — I still consider you a good friend.

Sasha: Thanks, Michael. Same goes for me. I am just as invested in your happiness as you are in mine. That includes talking about someone you can’t talk to anyone else about. Willow. If you ever need a sympathetic shoulder with no judgment, I’m here for you.

Chase: I want something more effective than hydration and stretches.

Willow: Hey, the fact that you’re here and working toward recovery at all, it’s a blessing, right? It’s just going to take some time.

Chase: This isn’t what you signed up for.

Willow: I seem to remember a clause about sickness and in health.

Chase: Well, I don’t think that vow can apply when I can’t be your husband. Not really.

Willow: That is not true.

Chase: Willow, you know what I mean. We can’t even share the same bed. I don’t want to wake you up when my legs are cramping. I know you need your rest because you’ve got school and you’ve got Wiley.

Willow: And I’ve got you. Listen to me. I don’t care about sleeping in separate beds.

Chase: But I do. This — this is not who I am. Okay? I am sick of our relationship revolving around my health. I just — I want to be your husband, not your patient. God, I want your love, not your pity.

Willow: I do love you, Chase.

Chase: Then let me do what I have to do.

Willow: Chase, I understand your frustration.

Chase: How can you? All I want is to live a normal life with the person that I love, and that seems impossible right now. [ Scoffs ] I’m — I’m sorry, Willow. I shouldn’t be railing at you. This is exactly what I didn’t want to happen. I don’t want to take my frustrations out on my wife.

physical therapist: Ready for some stretching?

Chase: Yeah. Hey, I’ll call you when I’m done, okay?

Portia: So they decided to get a divorce, and I don’t even know if it’s gone through or anything, I have no idea, but it’s just too soon to be getting involved with anyone.

Terry: Says who?

Portia: Everyone. Conventional wisdom, common sense.

Terry: Oh, and you want to live your life by conventional rules?

Portia: Terry, nobody wants to be on the other end of a rebound relationship.

Terry: Right. Better to nip it in the bud, especially when there’s chemistry.

Portia: I mean, when things were good between us, they were really good. And, yes, that old chemistry is still there.

Terry: Sounds dreadful.

[ Both chuckle ]

Portia: Okay, okay, fine. Yes, yes. I’m still attracted to the man, yes. If anything, even more so. I mean, Curtis back in the day, I mean, it was clear that he was just piecing his life back together. But Curtis now, I mean, he’s grounded and stable.

Terry: And still sexy.

Portia: I certainly think so.

Terry: Yeah.

Portia: And he’s definitely interested.

Terry: Uh-huh.

Portia: And he told me where I could find him tonight.

Terry: So, what happens if you don’t go?

Portia: I don’t know. My fear is that I will lose him in my life as a friend.

Terry: You make it sound like you’re gonna lose him no matter what. Stop me if I’m being intrusive, but I think you want a chance with the man, so what’s holding you back?

Shawn: Would you like to talk privately, Ms. Henry?

Stella: I suppose that would be best.

Shawn: I’ll be back.

Nikolas: That is tense.

Jordan: And none of your business.

Nikolas: The investigation into my stalker is definitely my business. Did the bootprint that your team found at the scene lead to anything?

Jordan: Yes, we’re making progress.

Nikolas: Can you be more specific? I need details.

Jordan: Why? So you can set another trap? Take matters into your own hands? I’m afraid not. That’s all you’re getting.

Nikolas: But I have a right to know.

Jordan: You do not have a right to interfere with an ongoing police investigation. Stay out of it, Nikolas. Leave it to the police. End of discussion.

Spencer: I’ve heard all about Ava’s trials and tribulations. I just wish I could have been there to see her face when she saw that roach.

Britt: You should have seen my face when Nikolas accused me of being the stalker.

Spencer: You have to admit, though, some of the stunts are clever enough to be yours.

Britt: They’re not stunts, Spencer. They’re malicious acts designed to cause fear. And they worked. Ava is terrified.

Spencer: Well, it’s over. Now that Father and Ava are divorcing, the gifts have stopped, right?

Britt: Again, not really gifts.

Spencer: You know what I mean.

Britt: [ Laughs ]

Spencer: You’ve always understood me.

Britt: Likewise. Oh! It’s so good to see you. Can you hang for a bit?

Spencer: Yeah, for a bit. I’ve been here practically all day.

Britt: Okay. Well, I’m gonna get a drink. Do you want one?

Spencer: Gin and tonic.

Britt: Ha! One iced tea, coming up.

Spencer: In Europe, the drinking age is 18.

Britt: This ain’t Europe.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Spencer: Father?

Nikolas: I’m heading home. I’ll give you a ride if you want. Still at the pool?

Spencer: Yes. I just need to change. Why don’t you come have a drink at the pool while you wait for me?

Sasha: Chase, I heard you were here. How’s it going?

Chase: It’s going.

Sasha: You know, physical therapy takes time.

Chase: That’s what they tell me.

Sasha: I would say my experience is with a different type of rehab, but if you ever want to talk…

Chase: Thanks, but I’m all talked out. If anything, I wish Willow would talk more.

Sasha: About what?

Chase: What’s going on with her. I wish she would say more than the obligatory “keep it up” and “don’t lose hope.”

Sasha: I’m sure she means every word.

Chase: Yeah, but I feel like there’s something that she’s not telling me. Has Willow said anything to you?

Michael: Willow. Hey. What’s wrong?

Willow: [ Sighs ] It’s nothing.

Michael: It’s definitely not nothing.

Willow: [ Sighs ] Chase is in physical therapy. He’s working hard, but he’s frustrated with his progress and… he’s lashing out.

Michael: At you?

Stella: Thomas was my nephew. I lived with my sister the whole time he and Curtis were growing up. I helped raise him. We were very close.

Shawn: He always spoke very highly of you.

Stella: I don’t need you to tell me about Thomas. I knew him down to the soles of his feet.

Shawn: With all due respect, ma’am, what do you need from me? You want to unload on me? Fine. I’ll stand right here and take your verbal lashing. I owe you that at least. I know what I took from you.

Stella: [ Scoffs ] Please. You can’t possibly understand what you took from me. What my family lost. Thomas was a good man and a good father. He should have lived to see his son grow up and become a doctor. What? You gonna tell me you’re TJ’s father now? Because a father is more than DNA.

Shawn: Look, you’ll get no argument from me. TJ accepts that, and so do I. Thomas was TJ’s father, but so am I.

Britt: So, besides the legal drinking age… [ Laughs ] Did you miss France? Did you leave someone special behind?

Spencer: France will always be there. What about you? Have you found someone who even slightly deserves you?

Britt: [ Chuckles ] You know, not many people would consider me a catch.

Spencer: Au contraire. If you haven’t found someone worthy of you, then you’re not looking in the right places.  Father! Hey. Look who’s here.

Nikolas: Hello, Britt.

Britt: Nikolas.

Portia: I was married when I first met Curtis, and I didn’t tell him. Marcus and I were on the outs, and I had no business starting anything with anyone. [ Sighs ] And when I finally did tell Curtis, he just walked away. I’m sure he was just hurt and felt betrayed.

Terry: So what are you saying? You really think Curtis is out for revenge?

Portia: No. God, no, of course not. No, I’m just, um… I don’t know. I guess I’m just a little scared. You know, what if I open myself up to him and then he has a change of heart and he walks away again, you know? [ Clears throat ] I haven’t really let myself be vulnerable since.

Terry: Since Curtis.

Portia: I mean, I’ve dated and stuff, but… you know. [ Stammers ] I just had other priorities, you know? I got to make sure that Trina’s okay and my career. Right?

Terry: Fair enough. Fair enough. That was then and this is now. Trina’s on her way to college, and your career is well-established. Sounds like it’s been a long time since you’ve let yourself be happy with a man. And things with Curtis sound promising. But what do I know? I’m just an oncologist, not a psychologist.

[ Both chuckle ]

Terry: Tell you what. I’m going. I’ll meet you at The Savoy in a few or at the Metro Court for dinner later. Your choice.

Curtis: Alright, you having a good evening? My bartender, N’neka, taking care of you?

Brando: Yes, she is. Everything’s great. House beer — first rate.

Curtis: Glad to hear it.

Brando: Can I ask you something?

Curtis: Uh, yeah, sure.

Brando: Have you ever had a woman give you an ultimatum? Said, “do this or you can’t be in my life”?

Curtis: Okay, it sounds like your lady, and she must have a good reason.

Brando: Eh… Sasha thinks that… she doesn’t like certain aspects of my life. She thinks they’re dangerous.

Curtis: Sasha. Oh, okay. Well, it sounds like she’s concerned that something might happen to you. Does she do this all the time? You know, ultimatums, giving orders?

Brando: No, no, no. She’s great. I mean, we respect each other.

Curtis: So are you sure it was an ultimatum or was she just being honest with you about what she can and cannot live with?

Brando: Yeah. Yeah, okay. I hadn’t thought of it that way.

Curtis: And to answer your first question, I don’t recall a woman ever doing that to me, but I’m sure I’ve done it. Sometimes you’ve got to say what you want, even if it means you might lose what you have.

Sasha: Willow is a pretty honest person. What do you think she’s holding back?

Chase: When Willow and I got married, we thought I only had a few hours to live. And now she’s stuck with an invalid husband.

Sasha: You’re recovering, Chase. And I say this with love, but you are an idiot if you think that Willow is anything but profoundly grateful that you survived.

Chase: Yes, Willow is grateful and so am I. I know I’m lucky to be alive, but… I know Willow. And there’s something behind her eyes, something she’s holding back.

Michael: Chase is going through hell right now, but that does not give him the right to take his pain out on you.

Willow: No, Chase is mostly taking his anger and frustration out on himself. I just feel so inadequate. All I can seem to offer are platitudes. “Be patient. You’ll get there.”

Michael: Willow, Chase is strong. He will come back from this. And you’re gonna be a big reason why he will.

Willow: I pray you’re right. I’m being selfish. Chase is the one struggling to get his life back, and I’m sitting here feeling sorry for myself.

Michael: Hey. You have to stop beating yourself up. You are doing an incredible job supporting Chase.

Willow: No chance you’re biased? No, not at all. And I’m the one who truly knows what this is costing you.

Stella: You compare yourself to the man who was there for TJ until he died?

Shawn: No, you are. I know Thomas loved TJ, but I love him, too. I couldn’t be his father because up until recently, I didn’t know I was his father.

Stella: And until recently, you were behind bars. Where you should have been a lot sooner for killing my nephew.

Shawn: Thomas was my best friend.

Stella: [ Scoffs ]

Shawn: But he snapped. He threatened to kill me. I shot on self-defense. I’ll carry the pain and weight of that for the rest of my life.

Stella: Oh, sure, sure. He was your best friend. But that didn’t stop you from sleeping with his wife. He snapped because of your betrayal.

Jordan: It wasn’t all on Shawn, Stella. We both know that.

Stella: [ Sighs ] Jordan, you and I have made our peace, but don’t expect me to offer it to the man who ended my nephew’s life. He’s lucky to be out of prison. If it were up to me, he’d rot there.

Jordan: You’re not being fair, Stella.

Shawn: Just…let Ms. Henry say her piece.

Stella: I have nothing more to say to you. Just please stay out of my way.

Shawn: I’ll do my best, ma’am. Jordan, thanks for dinner. Good night.

Jordan: Are you all right?

Stella: [ Exhales deeply ]

Jordan: You look shaky.

Stella: It’s been a long time coming. But I confronted him. I did it. And I stand by everything I said.

Jordan: Did it make you feel any better?

Ava: So, what did Victor do that has you on the fence?

Trina: Basically, he lied to me.

Ava: I don’t like the sound of that.

Trina: Well, it was more of a lie of omission, which is still technically a lie, but it didn’t directly affect me. So I guess I shouldn’t care.  It’s still bothersome. I don’t know. Maybe I’m overthinking it.

Ava: And maybe you’re making excuses for him, giving him a little wiggle room. Sounds to me like you like this guy.

Trina: Yeah. He’s interesting. Not like a lot of the guys around here.

Ava: Oh. So are you gonna go out with him?

Trina: Oh, we’re not dating. We’re just hanging out as friends.

Ava: Oh. Oh. Friends.

Nikolas: I thought you were gonna change.

Spencer: I was, and then Britt and I got to talking. I’ll go right now. I, um… my clothes should be back from housekeeping. Please, Father, help yourself to my iced tea.

Britt: Uh, Spencer. [ Sighs ]

Nikolas: I’m sorry, Britt, for accusing you of being the stalker. I was at the end of my rope.

Britt: I was sorry to hear that you and Ava are getting a divorce.

Nikolas: It’s not over yet. I’m surprised that Spencer is trying to matchmake. He and I have been cool toward each other since he’s been home.

Britt: But he is home in your hour of need. That’s something.

Nikolas: It is. I’m so glad to have him back. I mean, at least one thing is going right in my life.

Brando: Thank you for your advice.

Curtis: Look, man, you know what, sometimes I just like to hear myself talk.

Brando: Yeah, well, you said exactly what I needed to hear. Did I tell you I’m gonna be a father?

Curtis: Ohh. [ Laughs ] Well, now I understand the ultimatum, huh?

Brando: Yeah, yeah. I’ve been an idiot. I mean, there’s no choice to be made. How can I walk away from someone as wonderful as Sasha?

Curtis: Well, congratulations. I’m really happy for you.

Brando: Thank you.

Curtis: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. Keep that away, all right? This one’s on me. Consider it an early baby shower present. And good luck to you, brother.

Brando: Thank you.

Sasha: I think that you are holding Willow to a higher standard than your own.

Chase: What?

Sasha: Do you share all your doubts and moments of weakness with Willow? You might think that Willow is perfect, but she’s not. She’s human, Chase, and she’s scared and worried and just trying to figure things out as she goes.

Chase: I get it. I do. But she doesn’t have to hold it all in.

Sasha: Like you do? Loving someone doesn’t mean that you have to share every single thought with the other person, especially when you’re trying to protect the other person. And you’re both doing that.

Chase: And I’m not protecting her by snapping at her, which is exactly what I did today.

Sasha: I think that Willow understands how frustrating this is for you, and I know that she’s committed to helping you through your recovery. You don’t need to doubt her.

Michael: You’ve put your entire life on hold to literally help Chase get back on his feet. And I see you burning the candle at both ends while still managing to keep a smile on your face. I just — [ Sighs ] I don’t know, I wish there was something that I could do to help.

Willow: Michael, I know I’m — I’m putting more than my life on hold. I’m putting us on hold. Our family, our future. And that’s not fair, either. How long can I ask you to keep waiting for me?

Ava: It sounds to me like you’re willing to overlook Victor’s lie of omission.

Trina: I want to.

Ava: Well… then do it. Take a chance.

Trina: You still believe that? Even after the way things ended with you and Nikolas?

Ava: Yes. I believe in living life, you know? Not just watching from the sidelines. Get out there and enjoy yourself.

Trina: Yes, ma’am.

Ava: And be careful. And if this Victor crosses the line, he’s gonna have to answer to me.

Trina: Get in line behind my dad.

Ava: [ Laughs ] Yeah, right. And your mom. You have quite a lineup of protectors. Really, overall, Trina, trust your instincts. This Victor, he sounds — sounds like he might be a bad boy. They are exciting. But they can be trouble, too.

Spencer: Where’s Father?

Britt: He had to make a call. Not cool, Spencer.

Spencer: Huh?

Britt: “Huh?” Nikolas and I are over. He loves Ava. And I don’t have time for distractions.

Spencer: Things change. It’s only a matter of time before Father puts Ava and his farce of a marriage behind him.

Shawn: I heard you were still in the game. How about we work together?

Stella: I admit, lashing out to that man didn’t — didn’t ease the pain of losing Thomas, but I needed to do it. [ Scoffs ] You know I speak my mind.

Jordan: All too well.

Stella: Go on. Say it.

Jordan: Stella, what were you thinking? Telling Portia to back off Curtis?

Stella: I was thinking you and Curtis need more time to work out your differences and remember how much you love each other. Jordan, I gave you the opportunity to fight for your man. Why didn’t you take it?

Michael: Hey, you never have to ask. I’ll wait forever if I have to. But you’re my future, Willow. So take that worry off your plate, okay? I’m not going anywhere. As much as I want to hold you and make love to you, I’ll go on being your friend and co-parent as long as it takes.

Willow: Michael, I love you. So much my heart hurts. I want you, too. And I’m so sorry. I wish things were different.

Michael: I understand your commitment to staying with Chase. So we wait. As long as Chase needs you.

Chase: [ Grunting ] Come on. You can do this. Do it for Willow. There we go. All right.

On the next “General Hospital” —

Brando (to Sasha): Sometimes you have to make choices. I’ve made mine.

Finn (to Elizabeth):  Monsters never really die. They haunt you forever.

Brook Lynn (to Valentin): And you’re sure that’s all you are? A team?

Sam (to Olivia): Dante told you about that?

Anna (to Dante): We need to keep that information confidential.

Stella (to Jordan): Do you want this marriage to be over?

Curtis (to Portia): Your timing couldn’t have been any better.

Article: TV Shows Worthy of Bingeing on Disney+

TV Article!

Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian

Guest Post by Zeeshan Lalani 10/1/20

BINGE WATCHING WORTHY TV SHOWS ON DISNEY PLUS

This fall, Disney+ has plans to remedy its greatest weakness: the lack of binge-worthy live action series that audiences over age 12 will enjoy.

To be sure, the family-friendly streaming service has several series that work well in small doses: “Rogue Trip”, “Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian”, “Brain Games”, “Encore”, “Cosmos”, “Shop Class”, and “America’s Funniest Home Videos” come to mind. Disney+ also has dozens of bingeable animated shows, and laugh-track Disney Channel entries amuse some pre-teens.

However, competitors Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, and Peacock all have 20 to 40 or more must-see TV series that aren’t cartoons. Later this fall, Disney+ will add National Geographic’s big-budget limited series “The Right Stuff,” along with ABC’s “Dinosaurs,” (4 seasons) and, hopefully, a new Marvel Studios series or two. However, one of the problems one can face is not being able to watch Disney Plus from outside the U.S. because it is only available in specific countries.  For that, one would need a VPN for Disney Plus.

For now, here’s our list of 7 quality live action series with wide appeal…

1 The Mandalorian (Season 2 Coming in October)

This $100 million Western-style space opera has maintained Disney+ trends since its production, from director Jon Favreau (Iron Man) and executive producer Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars). Set after the collapse of the Monarchy and before the advent of the First World, The Mandalorian follows the tribulations of a solitary gunfighter in the far reaches of the cosmos who becomes The Child’s guardian (known to fans as “Baby Yoda”) far from the nascent Republic’s jurisdiction.

  1. Agent Carter (2 Seasons)

Peace has dealt a significant blow to Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) when she finds herself oppressed as the men return home from fighting abroad throughout World War II. Working for the clandestine S.S.R. (Strategic Scientific Reserve), a forerunner of S.H.I.E.L.D., Peggy needs to balance administrative duties and go on classified missions for Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper). In the aftermath of losing the love of her life, Captain America AKA Steve Rogers, she navigates life as a female secret agent. This series also shines a light on the conclusion of the film Avengers: Endgame, which is linked closely to the Captain America films.

  1. Once Upon A Time (7 Seasons)

“Once Upon a Time” shows a reality where the stories of fairy tales and every-day real life clash. In her life as a bail bondswoman, Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) is doing well when Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) unexpectedly turns up — the boy she gave up a decade ago. He claims she is the daughter of Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), who spirited her away before a spell could be cast by the Wicked Queen (Lana Parrilla), freezing the realm of fairytales in time and taking them to today’s Storybrooke, Maine. Something about the story intrigues Emma, so she humors the boy and decides to take him back to his family in Maine. Captain Hook, Belle, Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, and many more reimagined Disney characters appear in the show’s 7 seasons.  All 7 seasons arrive on September 18 for U.S. Disney+ subscribers.

  1. The Imagineering Story (Limited Series)

This 6-part series of documentaries explores Walt Disney Imagineering’s history, present, and future with the noted filmmaker Leslie Iwerks. Thanks to the Disney ties of her family — her grandfather was an early Disney animator and her father was a former Imagineer— Iwerks offers viewers an all-access pass to how Disney’s groundbreaking theme park attractions are made… including a few errors and low points that have taken place over the decades.

  1. Boy Meets World (7 Seasons)

“Boy Meets World” elevates the classic sitcom format of producers Michael Jacobs and April Kelly with writing and performances that deepen as the program progresses. It chronicles the ups and downs of Cory Matthews (Ben Savage), his best friend Shawn (Rider Strong), girlfriend Topanga (Danielle Fishel), brother Eric (Will Friedle), and the lessons they learn from their coach, George Feeney (William Daniels), one of the few ABC series on Disney+. In later seasons, the characters face more serious problems as they try to balance college with relationship troubles and serious issues like divorce and grief. For 3 seasons of Girl Meets World, also on Disney+, Disney Channel carried back some of the characters.

  1. Prop Culture (1 Season)

Prop Society goes behind the scenes of favorite films such as Mary Poppins, The Muppet Movie, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and The Narnia Chronicles: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in eight half-hour episodes. Host and prop curator Dan Lanigan recovers lost movie items, tours private collections and helps return parts to their former glory from the Walt Disney Archives. Lanigan has indicated plans for a second season, but Disney+ hasn’t revealed it yet. “To get a second season, you have to watch the first season! ” Lanigan said in March.

  1. Hostile Planet (Limited Series)

This six-part documentary series draws attention to the most remarkable stories of animals who have responded to the most inhuman genetic curveballs, which seem almost mystical. With Planet Earth and other high-end nature shows, and an immersive look at the wilds of nature, the cinematography and pace of this show is on par.

We spoke with many entertainment editors and critics, and they all mentioned the above listed series or shows as best. In fact, the editor from StreamingRant told us, “Hostile Planet is my personal favorite, and I consider it the best Nat Geo show on Disney+.”

These seven shows on Disney+ are worth watching, but you can only watch them from certain regions, due to geo-restrictions. However, VPNs can give you a way around those. VPNs are one way to bypass geo-restrictions and to watch some amazing content, great stories and perfect plots from some super amazing content creators and filmmakers. Please be careful, though, because some VPN use can get you into trouble.
