EJ opened the pod and let Paulina see who was in it. She was shocked to see Lexie in the pod. EJ explained what happened with Lexie’s tumors, and Stefano’s guilt over it. Stefano wanted Lexie’s body frozen until Dr. Rolf could find a cure. They discovered a cure because of the secret project. Paulina was upset with EJ when she heard about the plan. EJ informed her about the complications of turning him in. He gave her the option to turn him in and stop Lexie’s resurrection or let them continue with the plan. Paulina called him out for the tough choice he gave her. She knew he wanted to sell the technology to the highest bidder. He wondered if she wanted to end the project since Lexie coming back to life would complicate her life. Paulina stormed out of the lab. EJ wanted to know if she would stop the miracle from happening. After Paulina left, the Phoenix ring on EJ’s finger started shaking, and he tried to steady it. Javi called Leo. Leo told him that he missed him. Javi appreciated the fact that Leo gave him the space to think about things. While he was gone, Javi realized how much he missed Leo. Leo was relieved to hear that. Javi asked him if he could finally commit to him and get over Dimitri? Leo avoided answering his question, but it didn’t matter because Dimitri got out of the shower wondering who he was talking to. Javi heard him and couldn’t believe that Leo was with him. He hung up the phone.

Gwen wanted Melinda to be her attorney instead of representing Dimitri. She reminded Melinda that Dimitri was in Alamania and wouldn’t be coming back. Gwen told her that Dimitri voided their contract when he left town. Melinda wasn’t sure that Gwen would win. Gwen warned her that she would be making a mistake if she didn’t take her as a client. She also said that she would be making an enemy. Melinda wasn’t intimidated by her and walked out the door. No one wanted to take Gwen’s case so she was in a bad mood when EJ came home. He was in a bad mood too and yelled at Gwen. EJ told her about Paulina. Abe talked to Roman about Lexie. He let Roman know that he was thinking about Lexie a lot since Theo got pulled into DiMera. Abe broke down and told Roman that Paulina healed him, but Lexie was still in his heart.

Interview with Josh McKenzie of “The Hunting Party” on NBC by Suzanne 3/6/26

It’s always great to speak with Josh. He is very nice and laughs easily. I appreciate anyone who laughs at my jokes! 😆 Seriously, I love his role on this series because he’s always right in the thick of the action, but he’s also a good dramatic actor who can show all of the emotions needed for this part. He has a lot of story coming up, where we learn more about his past. Don’t miss it! It airs Thursdays on NBC or Peacock. This show is so fun to watch because the story moves fast, there are lots of killers and conspiracy, and the characters are riveting.

Check out our video interview below, too.

But as Bex races to catch these killers before it’s too late, she’ll discover that the one thing more twisted than the dangerous fugitives she’s chasing is the prison itself that they just escaped from…because “The Pit” wasn’t just a prison.

The cast also includes Nick Wechsler, Patrick Sabongui, Josh McKenzie and Sara Garcia.

Co-showrunners JJ Bailey (creator) and Jake Coburn are writers and executive producers. Thor Freudenthal is director and executive producer. Michael Jones Morales is writer and executive producer.

Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Abe, Paulina, and Theo have breakfast at the Brady Pub. Theo says he should get going as he has a meeting with Johnny and doesn’t want to be late because he wants it to be a smooth transition when Johnny hands back control of DiMera to him. Paulina hopes it all goes well. Theo appreciates Abe coming around and making peace with his decision. Abe acknowledges that it is his decision, so he respects that. Theo says it means a lot and thanks them for breakfast as he exits. Paulina questions Abe’s sudden 180 and respecting Theo’s decision to take control of DiMera. Abe states that it’s a done deal and questions what choice he has.

Johnny goes to the DiMera office and pulls out the engraved cup that EJ got for Trey as he sits at the desk.

At the DiMera Mansion, EJ is on the phone with Chad, telling him not to cut his trip short as there’s nothing he can do here. EJ hopes that Stephanie will be back by the time Chad comes home and promises to call if there’s any news as they hang up. Gwen and Xander enter the room. Xander asks if there’s no news on Stephanie. EJ confirms there’s not and questions what the hell he’s still doing there. Gwen tells EJ to be polite as Xander is her guest. Xander mentions being very hungry as Gwen says they are very lucky to be able to join EJ for breakfast.

Stephanie and Jeremy wake up in the secret room behind the lab, still handcuffed to their chairs. Stephanie mentions being cold, hungry, and thirsty. Stephanie says she’s had no luck getting free. Jeremy notes that it’s been a couple hours so Owen may be gracing them with their presence.

Owen remains in the lab, wondering if the person in the tube can hear him. Owen says she had a happy marriage, so he wonders if she has any relationship advice for him since he finally has Stephanie right where he wants her, so he can’t blow it up like he did before. Owen asks if he should take Stephanie on a romantic getaway or shower her with gifts. Owen just wants to know how to make Stephanie fall in love with him.

Alex wakes up on the couch at home and puts his wedding ring back on as he starts to cry and throws things from the table in frustration.

Xander tells EJ that his staff did a commendable job fixing the bed that he and Gwen broke. EJ assumed he would be gone by now and questions him not working because he has the time to hover around here, day and night. EJ remarks that it’s no wonder Titan is on the rocks.

Kate greets Abe and Paulina at the Pub. Kate thanks Abe for helping with the search last night. Abe asks how Roman is. Kate says he didn’t sleep much but he’s back out on the search and guesses there haven’t been any updates. Paulina confirms that she’s been in contact with Jada all night and they’ve checked all the likely places that Jeremy could be holding Stephanie. Kate says she has every editor coming through Stephanie’s novels for any clues and she hopes it will be the key to his downfall. Paulina says if love were enough, Stephanie would be home with them now so she just hopes that she feels it.

Stephanie struggles with being cold while Jeremy encourages her to imagine they are somewhere else, but Stephanie says that just makes her colder. Stephanie decides she might take Owen up on his water offer if he ever comes back from whatever project he’s working on. Jeremy hopes he doesn’t come back soon while Stephanie admits that she’s so scared for both of them, but especially for him.

Owen tells himself that there has to be a way that he can make all of this right. Owen then imagines the tube in the room opening up and Stephanie coming out of it, asking what has him so rattled. Owen says she’s not real but says his problem is Jeremy as he was supposed to be in police custody and he has to get rid of him.

Alex finishes a phone call as Justin shows up at his door and asks what he can do as they embrace.

Theo goes to meet Johnny at DiMera Enterprises. Theo asks if he’s definitely okay with him coming back as CEO. Johnny assures that he is glad he’s taking over. Theo asks about the cup EJ got for Trey and if that means they patched things up. Johnny says no and that their relationship is complicated to say the least. Johnny adds that Chanel wanted him to throw it out but once he saw what it was, he couldn’t bring himself to do it but now he feels like he’s being disloyal to Chanel. Theo relates to feeling the same every time he tells Abe he’s coming to work at DiMera, like it’s a betrayal. Theo declares that no matter what Abe thinks, he’s a DiMera and he’s proud of it.

Xander tells EJ to let him focus on Titan while he focuses on his family’s company, then points out that his siblings ousted him from there years ago. Gwen interrupts and suggests they focus on more important things like Stephanie going missing. EJ admits to being impressed by Titan offering reward money and announces he plans to double that. Xander then gets a text and remembers he has to get to a work meeting. Xander tells Gwen that he’ll see her later and suggests going back to his place. Gwen says she can’t wait as they kiss in front of EJ.

Alex tells Justin that he’s trying to be strong. Justin says that doesn’t mean he can’t be in pain when someone he loves is in danger. Alex complains that she shouldn’t be in danger since the whole point of eloping was to lure Jeremy in and make him the bait, not Stephanie. Justin brings up the police having the video of Jeremy trying to attack him and that he did nothing wrong by letting the police handle this. Alex argues that if they followed their plan, Jeremy would’ve came for him and he wishes he got him instead of Stephanie.

Stephanie apologizes to Jeremy again for believing he was the one stalking her. Jeremy says the only one to blame for this is Owen. Stephanie agrees and refuses to sit around and be his victim again. Stephanie wants to find something to use but Jeremy says Owen took everything that could help them escape. Stephanie guesses the only option is to talk Owen in to letting them go by either playing in to his delusion or challenging it.

Owen talks to his imagination of Stephanie and says he can’t find his way out of this Jeremy problem other than killing him, but he wouldn’t have time to clean up all the blood. Owen adds that once Jeremy’s body was found, they would know he had nothing to do with the kidnapping and they’d come looking for him. His imagination of Stephanie then suggests he use the drug he used on Stephanie and the cop, but upping the dose for Jeremy. Owen declares that a drug is what he needs to leave no evidence of foulplay behind.

EJ questions Gwen still being in the living room as he thought she’d be out looking for Stephanie to try and claim the reward money. Gwen wants to just stay and recharge after the night she had with Xander. EJ hopes to never hear about that again and adds that Gwen could do a hell of a lot better than Xander. Gwen asks why she would take romantic advice from EJ when he’s not breaking any beds around here. EJ tells her that he’s going to the hospital because one of them need to check in on their project as they are near the finish line. Gwen decides she will go with him. EJ questions her giving up on Stephanie already when he thought she’d be interested in the reward money. Gwen remarks that the reward money will seem like chump change when they are done with the drug that can raise the dead. Gwen declares she’ll have more money than she knows what to do with when that hits the market. EJ corrects her that they will have more money as they exit together.

Xander meets Kate in the town square. Kate points out that they couldn’t meet in the office so that Philip and Maggie find out what they are up to. Kate says it’s getting their hands dirty for the greater good. Xander asks what her spy said about One Stormy Afternoon. Kate clarifies that Arianna doesn’t know she’s a spy and she wants to keep it that way. Kate adds that she said Johnny is rushing Bonnie’s book to shelves, so they will soon be hitting DiMera with a monster lawsuit for plagiarism.

Johnny tells Theo that Abe may not be happy that he’s embracing his DiMera side, but Stefano would’ve been. Theo admits he misses Stefano every day. Theo remarks after all the stories they heard about Stefano bringing people back to life, it’s hard to believe no one has done the same for him.

Owen states that the person in the pod had a love story for the ages and questions why he can’t convince Stephanie that she can have the same with him. Owen continues to talk to his imagination of Stephanie and mocks the ring that Alex got her. Owen declares that Alex is her past while he is her future as his imagination of Stephanie then disappears.

Alex tells Justin that when he and Stephanie eloped, it was the happiest day of his life and they were really looking forward to the future. Alex talks about their plans to redo the whole ceremony in Salem with their family and friends. Alex says now instead of sending out save the dates, he’s hanging up missing posters. Justin encourages that even that’s a huge help in bringing Stephanie back and that Steve mentions someone saying she had seen Jeremy. Alex says it was no help since the person said they saw Jeremy after Stephanie had been grabbed. Justin encourages that would mean that he has Stephanie stashed somewhere locally. Alex calls that the optimistic take which Jada keeps telling him to hang onto. Justin urges him not to even think of the other take.

Owen returns to Stephanie and Jeremy, saying it’s time to put their gags back on, but first he needs two answers. Owen asks Jeremy how he found Stephanie. Jeremy instead tells him to go to Hell. Owen warns him to either tell him or he’ll drag his ass out right now. Jeremy responds that it wasn’t that complicated and admits he saw him in the town square, so he followed him because he recognized him from the school and knew something was up. Owen admits he should’ve been more careful. Owen offers Stephanie another bottle of water, insisting that she can trust him but she and Jeremy both refuse. Owen then puts the gags back on them and tells them to sit tight as he’ll be back later tonight. Owen tells them not to get in to any trouble while he’s gone as he then exits.

Theo tells Johnny that he appreciates all the hard work he’s been doing while he was recovering. Johnny says he just took his advice and that DiMera had been stable lately.

Kate tells Xander that her lawyer is already working on the complaint, outlining the lawsuit. Kate admits it’s not ethical to entrap their competition in to stealing their IP and assures they will be ready to go once the book is on sale. Kate adds that she included a list of comparisons between One Stormy Afternoon and One Rainy Night. Xander calls it a genius plan and says they are lucky that no one at DiMera actually read Stephanie’s book. Kate says that now that Johnny is rushing Bonnie’s book to the shelves, they are home free, but Xander says not yet.

Dr. Rolf returns to the lab and asks Owen how last night went. Owen calls it uneventful. Dr. Rolf says that EJ will be pleased to hear that and reveals that EJ is on his way, so he suggests maybe it’s time they meet face to face. Owen responds that he’d rather go home to get some rest, so he quickly exits the lab.

Alex tells Justin that he’s trying to hold onto hope. Justin encourages that Stephanie has friends in high places, so the police, Black Patch, the FBI and the ISA are all looking for her. Justin declares that he knows in his heart that this will have a happy ending. Alex says that is exactly what Adrienne told him.

Johnny tells Theo that the last item on the agenda is the publishing of One Stormy Afternoon. Theo says he’s been meaning to talk about the publication department. Johnny knows fiction is new for them, but feels they are leaving money on the table by not broadening their audience. Johnny adds that he’s commissioned a mock cover so they can make the release date. Theo comments on Johnny making his mark before going back to Titan, unless he can convince him to stay. Theo tells Johnny that he’d be more than happy to offer him a permanent position at DiMera.

Xander tells Kate that there’s still one major hurdle they have to overcome and that’s that Titan’s first loan repayment is coming due and they don’t have the cash, so if this lawsuit doesn’t come through in time, his family loses everything. Kate doesn’t understand why Xander let Maggie put the mansion up as collateral. Xander tells Kate that there is no talking Maggie out of something that she’s determined to do, so they had no other choice since they need the money to keep Titan afloat. Kate assures that’s exactly what they will do because it’s Victor’s legacy, so they are doing it for him, Philip, and future generations. Xander agrees that Titan is also Victoria’s future, so he will make sure it stays afloat by any means necessary.

Justin tells Alex that he doesn’t understand. Alex explains that he didn’t sleep much and crashed out on the couch, but he had a dream about Adrienne and he lost almost all of it, but he remembers searching for Stephanie and he couldn’t find her when Adrienne appeared and told him not to worry because Stephanie would be found and to just believe it would have a happy ending. Alex wonders how strange it is that Justin used the same words. Justin calls it his subconscious telling him to have faith that Stephanie will be found. Alex guesses that’s exactly what it was, but tells him how happy he was to see Adrienne in his dream. Alex recalls how devastated Justin was when he lost Adrienne and calls that the worst thing that ever happened to him. Alex wants to believe this will all be okay but points out they weren’t able to save Adrienne, so not every story gets a happy ending.

Stephanie and Jeremy remain tied up until hearing voices, so they try screaming for help.

EJ and Gwen arrive at the lab and greet Dr. Rolf. EJ asks how their favorite patient is. Dr. Rolf says she should be waking up any day and they should be seeing brain activity soon. Gwen throws trash away in the trash can where Owen had dropped Stephanie’s wedding ring. Gwen then asks Dr. Rolf how soon they are talking as EJ says there’s much to do before then. Dr. Rolf says he will keep him posted and it will be sometime before her eyes are open, but she’s ready for them to feast their eyes on her. EJ asks what he means. Dr. Rolf reveals they can open the pod and allow her to breathe, asking if either of them would like to have a look. EJ and Gwen both take a look. EJ calls it amazing. Gwen calls it astonishing and says she didn’t understand the impact of what they are doing until this moment. Gwen calls it extraordinary and asks if Dr. Rolf is sure he’s able to bring her back to life after everything. Gwen remarks that this will turn so many lives upside down. EJ says it will in the most wonderful way possible.

Johnny tells Theo that he’s going to get him in trouble with his wife, since he promised Chanel that his stint at DiMera would only be temporary. Theo says he understands but if he ever changes his mind, he’d be happy to have him. Theo thanks Johnny again and says there are few people he could trust, so he’s thrilled to have him as a cousin and a friend.

Kate tells Xander that it’s going to hurt to see Johnny go through this, but he and Theo will both survive the hits that will come because of what they do while Titan couldn’t survive it if they don’t. Xander worries about Kate having to deal with Abe and Roman when they learn what they’ve done. Kate says that won’t happen since as far as they are concerned, she never read the book and just passed it on while Abe and Roman are too distracted to notice since they are focused on searching for Stephanie.

Alex tells Justin that he needs to get back out there but Justin says there’s no point as there are plenty of people out there looking for Stephanie. Justin says Alex won’t do anyone any good until he recharges and asks him to get another hour of sleep for him and for himself. Justin offers to make him a cup of coffee and then they can go back out together which Alex agrees to. Alex tells Justin that he loves him and Justin says the same as they hug.

Dr. Rolf brings up the police searching the lab with EJ’s permission. EJ says he was backed in to a corner as Stephanie disappeared from the hospital, so he couldn’t object without making them think he had something to hide, even though he does. EJ declares that they are hiding some earth shattering things here but Stephanie isn’t one of them.

Stephanie and Jeremy continued screaming to no avail and remained handcuffed and gagged.

Stephanie tries to run but Jeremy says it’s not safe for her to go out there alone. Stephanie argues that she wouldn’t be any safer with him. Julie looks at her photo of Doug until she gets a phone call from Maggie. Julie says she was hoping for news on Stephanie and Jeremy. Maggie wishes she had news on that front. Julie questions Maggie being up at this hour. Maggie responds that she was in bed and heard tapping on the window which was a bright red cardinal that then flew away. Maggie says she was then wide awake and it just occurred to her that it was officially Julie’s birthday. Julie is touched that she remembered. Maggie asks if she’d like some company. Julie says she would love it.

Gabi wakes up next to Philip and asks if there’s any news on Stephanie. Philip responds that there’s none at all.

Owen ties Stephanie back up to the chair and says he doesn’t know how she got out of the last one, but she won’t get out of this. Owen then has Jeremy tied to a chair across from her and questions how Jeremy found Stephanie as he takes Stephanie’s phone from Jeremy’s jacket pocket. Stephanie questions how Jeremy got her phone. Jeremy assumes that Owen planted it on him to set him up, but he found it before the police did. Owen demands to know how Jeremy found Stephanie. Jeremy guesses he just got luck, so Owen grabs him and asks if he thinks this is a joke. Stephanie yells at Owen to stop and not hurt him. Jeremy asks Stephanie how she knows this guy and who he is. Stephanie responds that he’s Owen Kent and he kidnapped her years ago as she realizes he is the stalker. Jeremy states that it wasn’t him.

Maggie goes to see Julie, who thanks her for coming. Maggie wanted to wish her a happy birthday in person since it’s the first time in awhile she’s been alone in the house since Doug passed away. Maggie encourages her that she’s not alone tonight or ever.

Philip tells Gabi that he’s sorry as he shouldn’t be thinking about his ex while in bed with her. Gabi says it’s okay to be worried about Stephanie as she is too. Philip brings up that Stephanie has been kidnapped before when they were together. Gabi didn’t know and asks what happened. Philip informs her that Stephanie got caught in the crossfire of the never ending Kiriakis-DiMera feud. Gabi says that sounds familiar. Philip says that Stephanie was rescued, but afterwards she decided she wanted out of that world altogether and broke things off with him, so this is bringing up bad memories for him. Gabi asks if he wants to talk about it. Gabi assures that she’s secure in his feelings for her, so she can handle it. Philip then decides he does want to talk about it.

Stephanie tells Jeremy that she’s so sorry as she was sure he was the one stalking her. Jeremy says she had good reason. Owen says that’s because he did a stellar job framing Jeremy, even Steve was convinced. Stephanie questions why he’s doing this. Owen calls Jeremy the perfect scapegoat as he had means, motive, and opportunity. Owen says they weren’t even thinking of him because they were convinced it was Jeremy. Jeremy calls him sick, so Owen puts a gag on him. Owen says Jeremy was boring him and that he and Stephanie need to talk. Stephanie asks what he wants from her. Owen tells Stephanie that he loves her and always has, so he hates that it has to be this way but she’s been unfaithful to him and gave herself to another man. Owen then takes Stephanie’s wedding ring. Stephanie tries to say he can’t take that and pleads with him not to do this, so he puts the gag back over her mouth and says he’ll be back soon as he exits. Jeremy and Stephanie both try screaming. Owen leaves the room and goes right in to the lab where Dr. Rolf notes that he’s back. Dr. Rolf questions if he heard a noise like a muffled scream but Owen claims he didn’t hear anything. Dr. Rolf guesses it was the music in his headphones. Dr. Rolf says he was just about to go home for the night and reminds Owen what to do for the night in keeping the temperature of the room while monitoring their guest’s vital signs. Owen asks if he thinks she will respond soon. Dr. Rolf calls it unlikely but says if he sees any changes, to call him immediately. Dr. Rolf calls Owen the perfect employee. Owen asks how much longer he thinks he will need him. Dr. Rolf responds that he can’t say for sure as you can’t rush science. Dr. Rolf then exits the lab.

Julie is thankful that Maggie hasn’t said I told you so about Jeremy, since she was right from the start. Maggie wishes she wasn’t. Julie couldn’t believe Jeremy was an evil man and asks how she could’ve been so wrong about that.

Owen returns to Jeremy and Stephanie, warning that the room is soundproof from the rest of the hospital so they can make all the noise they want. Owen offers a bottle of water. Jeremy asks how they know he didn’t drug it. Owen asks what would be the point since they are already tied up. Stephanie questions the room being so cold. Owen calls it a secret part of the hospital that no one knows about and never will until it’s too late.

Philip informs Gabi that almost 20 years ago, Owen Kent kidnapped Stephanie on EJ’s orders as retaliation for Victor kidnapping Stefano over an alternative fuels project they had gone to war over. Philip remarks that nobody learns any lessons. Philip says EJ hired Owen to get back at their family, but Owen was a total psycho who decided he was in love with Stephanie. Philip adds that Owen’s father owned a funeral home, so he was holding Stephanie in a drawer in the morgue. Gabi asks what happened to Owen Kent. Philip responds that he was arrested, but he got away and hasn’t been heard from since. Philip guesses he’s disappeared for good at this point.

Owen admits the accommodations are not ideal as his original plan was to whisk Stephanie away from Salem so they could start their life together. Jeremy asks why he changed his mind. Owen says because of his job and he had to pick up some extra night shifts. Owen adds that he would’ve waited until he found out Alex and Stephanie were going to elope and he couldn’t stand for that. Stephanie asks if he’s working for EJ again. Owen claims that he’s not but understands why she would think that. Owen decides this place works to keep Stephanie until they are ready to start their life together. Stephanie calls this crazy as she will never go anywhere with him. Owen responds that she says that like she has a choice. Jeremy asks what he’s going to do with him. Owen responds that he was supposed to be in jail, taking the heat off him and keeping everyone off his scent, but since he’s here in his way, they will have to come up with a more permanent solution.

Philip tells Gabi that what’s really keeping him up is the moment he finally found Stephanie in the mortuary and the terror in her eyes. Gabi talks about Philip being there for her to cry on his shoulder after she found out about Stefan and he never once complained, so she’s grateful for him being honest with her as it only makes them stronger.

Julie tells Maggie that the police came by to ask if she had any idea where Jeremy and Stephanie were, so she suggested the Horton Cabin but they weren’t there. Julie says they have no idea if they are still in Salem and that Jeremy’s car is still at the school in Salem, so he couldn’t have gotten far on foot. Julie adds that someone spotted Jeremy in the town square. Maggie states that there’s only so many places someone can hide in Salem.

Owen drinks the water that Stephanie and Jeremy refused, then says he has nothing else to offer them so he’ll see them in the morning as he exits the room. Stephanie apologizes to Jeremy again for what she thought and she’s also so grateful that he found her, but questions how he did. Jeremy explains that he was at school for his last day with his car packed up, ready to head to New York, but towards the end of the day, Thomas came up to him to tell him that he found someone’s phone. Jeremy says his heart dropped when he realized it was Stephanie’s phone and that whoever was setting him up must have planted it there. Stephanie asks how he got away. Jeremy admits that he climbed out of the bathroom window and took off. Stephanie points out that he didn’t just take off and hide, he came looking for her.

Philip really hates feeling helpless. Gabi encourages that he is helping with Titan putting up reward money for Stephanie’s return. Philip feels it’s the least they can do since they published Stephanie’s book, even though money is tight. Philip says he won’t let what the DiMeras did to them stop them from making a difference. Gabi offers to kick in some cash herself and make things easier. Philip thanks her for offering and says it means a lot but they will be okay.

Stephanie asks how Jeremy knew she was here. Jeremy explains that after evading the police at the school, he couldn’t go to his car or back to the house with everyone looking for him. Jeremy says he thought about taking her phone to the police but figured they would just arrest him and they’d lose time trying to find her as he doubted they would believe anything he had to say. Jeremy says he cut through the town square and happened to see Owen, so the pieces came together and he was pretty sure he was the guy who framed him. Stephanie asks how he knew Owen as the guy who had him. Jeremy recalls bumping into Owen posing as a custodian at school, but he’d never seen him before and he acted weird, like he knew him, so when he saw him in the town square, he knew he planted the phone to set him up, so he followed him back here. Jeremy adds that he knows the hospital pretty well since his dad used to be chief of staff, but Owen came in through a back entrance by the morgue. Jeremy says he kept his distance and followed him through all these passage ways he didn’t know existed and he ended up at a door with a key code, so he caught the door when Owen put in the key and followed him inside.

Julie tells Maggie that she’s been trying all day to reach Jeremy in hopes that he will talk to her. Julie thinks her voice would help Jeremy come to his senses. Maggie asks what she would say to him if he called her back. Julie says she would tell him that she loves him no matter what and that it’s not too late to stop him from doing something he can’t undo. Julie tries again to call Jeremy, but Owen has his phone and declines the call.

Stephanie states that Jeremy took a huge risk following Owen as he had no idea what was behind that door. Jeremy says he didn’t care as he was just worried about her. Stephanie appreciates that and asks about him following Owen in to the secure room. Jeremy reveals that it turned out the room was a lab and luckily Owen had his back turned, so he hung back and watched him open a secret panel. Jeremy says he found a place to hide in the lab and waited until Owen came back through and left, then when he was sure he was gone, he went to the panel. Jeremy says he probably should’ve just called the police at that point but he was desperate to find Stephanie. Jeremy says there was a corridor with two doors, so he went through the first one and there she was. Stephanie thinks she knows where they are in the hospital because EJ gave her a tour of the free clinic when it first opened and they came upon a door with a keypad, so they are somewhere behind the free clinic. Stephanie says that EJ said there was a lab inside but made it clear he didn’t want to talk about what was in the lab. Jeremy brings up that Owen said he wasn’t working for EJ and questions if he was lying. Stephanie says she doesn’t know but it makes her wonder what the hell is going on in the lab and the other door. Jeremy brings up that Owen said it was just the three of them and that the room was soundproof, so Stephanie questions why Owen yelled at her to shut up then and why he would gag them. Jeremy concludes that Owen must be working for someone and maybe his boss is in the other room and they are not part of the job, so the question is how to get his boss to figure out that they are there.

Philip and Gabi kiss in bed until Philip says he doesn’t want to keep her up as he knows she has a big fashion show tomorrow and needs her rest. Gabi says she should get some sleep but she’s kind of wired, so she suggests ordering snacks from room service. Philip points out that it will take a while to get there, so Gabi asks how they will ever pass the time and kisses him. Gabi then calls to order strawberries, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream as Philip continues kissing her.

Stephanie tells Jeremy that it could be worse since the last time Owen kidnapped her, he kept her in a drawer in the morgue as his family owned a mortuary. Jeremy tells her that he’s so sorry. Stephanie remarks that Owen is totally off the deep end and she had blocked out so much of what happened the last time. Stephanie says what she remembers most is that it was so cold, just like it is here.

Julie hugs Maggie and thanks her for coming by to see her. Maggie jokes that she can thank the bird for waking her. Maggie offers to take her out to dinner to celebrate her birthday for real after they both get some rest which Julie agrees to. Maggie says she will call her as she exits. Julie goes back to her photo of Doug and says she knows that red cardinal was him, waking Maggie up to come see her for her birthday. Julie declares that her birthday wish is for Doug to watch over Jeremy and Stephanie. Julie then puts the photo down and shuts off the lights.

Jeremy tells Stephanie that he’s so sorry this happened to her again while Stephanie is so sorry that he got dragged into it and for how she and the whole town treated him. Jeremy doesn’t blame her considering their past and that Owen set him up. Stephanie can’t believe he was behind it as it’s been over 15 years and she never thought Owen would come back as a wanted man. Stephanie acknowledges that Jeremy tried to save her and risked everything. Stephanie wishes she would’ve listened to him before Owen came back. Jeremy says none of that matters and he’s glad that she’s not alone now that he’s here with her. Jeremy vows to do everything in his power to protect her from that lunatic.

Owen stands over the tube in the lab and says the person inside knew what it was like to be part of a great romance. Owen says she’s the only one he’s shared his plans, he wants her to know that it worked and Stephanie is here. Owen admits he had to deal with unexpected complications, but once the woman is out and back in to the real world, he will use the tube to smuggle Stephanie out and then they will be together forever.

Recap written by Barbara

Adam and Chelsea are out to dinner at GCAC, although neither of them have an appetite because of how upset they are about the loss of the Newman family legacy to Phyllis and Billy. They discuss the impact it will have on the various Newman family members and Adam expresses his appreciation of Chelsea’s support. They joke about what kinds of jobs they could get when the Newman money runs out, including him being a card shark again and her returning to running cons. She says she could be his shill.
Billy comes to Phyllis’s office to demand that she get the contract that will give him Chancellor signed within an hour because Victor kidnapped Jack and will not release him until Billy gives Victor Chancellor back.
He then meets up with Diane and Kyle at Society and lets them know that Phyllis is giving him a hard time about signing the contract. He also expresses uncertainty about whether Jack is actually in danger from Victor without proof. After pressure from Diane and Kyle, Billy texts Victor and tells him to send him proof that he has his brother and he will make sure Victor gets Chancellor back. Shortly thereafter, Billy gets a text from an unknown number with a picture dated the day before with Jack looking unconscious wearing the shirt Diane last saw him in. Billy thinks it must be from Victor using a burner phone.
Phyllis goes to the Newman ranch to meet with Victor. She lets him know that she still owns Chancellor and if he wants it back, he will have to negotiate with her, not Billy. Victor says it’s a demand, not a negotiation and Phyllis capitulates. She says she will give him Chancellor back if he releases Lily, the twins and Jack. Victor is shocked and skeptical and gets her to admit that she just wants her children to love and respect her so she will give up Chancellor for their sake. Victor is distrustful, tells her to give him an hour, during which time she is to get the papers drawn up and then they’ll see. He warns her not to ever start negotiating again or the deal is off.
A bewildered Jack finds himself in a bedroom stranded on a lake in a yacht with Patty Williams, who says she is rehabilitated and wants to make amends. Jack is skeptical, infuriated and wants nothing to do with her. She leaves him in the room and comes back with food and drinks for him, which he refuses. She taste tests everything to prove it’s not poisoned and after she expresses deep regret for the mistakes she made with him and his family and describes the excruciatingly difficult work she did on herself to get well in the psychiatric facility, Jack warms up to her attempt at redemption and forgiveness. He says he could see his way to believing and forgiving her if she gets them to shore together where they can eventually go their separate ways and she can go back to rebuilding herself. Patty tells him that’s not an option because she’s not the one in charge here.

Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Marlena finds Kayla at the hospital and says that Steve just called to update her on Stephanie. Marlena says she’s been so worried about Stephanie and now she’s worried about Kayla too as she’s so sorry for what they are going through. Kayla thanks her and says she’s just trying to stay hopeful that Stephanie will just turn back up. Marlena assures that she will, but thinks Kayla would be more comfortable at home. Marlena offers to go with her and wait there. Kayla thanks her, but says she’s not going anywhere.

Alex and Brady talk in the town square about Titan offering a reward for finding Stephanie. Alex remarks that Titan can’t afford to lose their best selling author Anastasia Sands while Brady encourages that Philip genuinely cares about Stephanie as they all do. Alex complains that it just seems it’s always about the bottom line with their family, even for himself as it’s why they are in this situation now and he wishes he never published Stephanie’s book.

Leo is in bed while Dimitri sleeps on the floor in Alamainia. Leo dreams about his last conversation with Dimitri, where he said if they can’t prove his innocence, he’d be stuck there with him. Leo then wakes up as Dimitri crawls in to the bed and wraps his arms around Leo while seemingly still asleep.

At the police station, Jada finishes a call with JJ and informs Steve that there was no sign of Stephanie or Jeremy at the Horton Cabin on Smith Island and that it looked like no one had been there for months. Steve complains that was their only real lead. Steve then asks why Jeremy would take Stephanie there since he would assume they would search it. Jada says it was worth a try, but now they regroup and broaden the search. Steve declares that they won’t stop until they find his daughter because they will and they have to.

Stephanie struggles with being tied up, wondering where she is and why it’s so cold in there now. Stephanie prays for help and tells herself that she has to get out before Jeremy comes back as she tries to escape from being tied to the chair.

Brady encourages that Alex helped Stephanie become a best selling author and she loved it, so there’s no way they could’ve seen this happening. Alex says he just can’t seem to forgive himself because Stephanie was worried about the pages in her book that were inspired by Jeremy. Alex adds that he asked Kate to edit them out and he should’ve followed up on that but he didn’t, so because of his negligence, Jeremy came back to town thinking Stephanie still had feelings for him. Brady suggests that Jeremy could’ve still come back to be a teacher and all of this could’ve happened with or without the book. Alex argues that why Jeremy came back to town is moot now. Alex brings up how they had an entire sting operation to end this nightmare and explains to Brady that he and Stephanie’s eloping was supposed to be a trap to lure Jeremy in, but since they got the marriage license for a fake wedding, Stephanie surprised him by taking him to Chicago on Valentine’s Day to elope for real. Brady is shocked to learn that Alex and Stephanie are married. Alex says yesterday was the best day of his life while now today is the worst.

Kayla tells Marlena that she can’t leave the hospital since it was the last place Stephanie was seen, so she believes that if Stephanie is going to come back, it will be here. Kayla adds that if Stephanie is hurt and they bring her in to the hospital, she wants to be there. Marlena wishes she could find the right words to comfort her and says she will stay here all night with her, waiting until Stephanie comes home.

Stephanie continues struggling with being tied up and breaks down crying as she imagines Steve’s voice telling her to stay calm and assess the situation along with Kayla’s voice encouraging her to be strong. Stephanie then thinks back to Alex’s wedding vows as she continues trying to break free.

Leo tries to escape from Dimitri’s arms while Dimitri says aloud in his sleep that he’s here for Leo and won’t let anyone hurt him.

Jada checks the tip line and sees quite a few coming in about Stephanie’s disappearance. Steve notices that some of them are sharing the plot from Stephanie’s books. Jada notes that they have to go through them all. Steve agrees because if even one of them is real, it could lead them to Stephanie. Steve reads someone claiming they spotted Stephanie in Chicago at 7:01 PM while someone else says they saw her in Honolulu at 7:02. Jada sees a tip from Susan that her teeth are chattering, so she wonders if it’s possible that Stephanie could be held outdoors. Steve reads further that Susan predicted on Halloween that Stephanie would disappear, just like the author in the plot of her book Right Out.

Dimitri suddenly wakes up and tells Leo that he was having a nightmare that Vivian was coming after him. Leo says that none of that explains what he’s doing in his bed. Dimitri apologizes and claims it wasn’t intentional, but part of his dream. Leo tells Dimitri that he can go back to his cozy spot on the floor now, so he does. Leo then stacks the pillows on the side of the bed in hopes of keeping Dimitri out.

Kayla tells Marlena that she’s trying to be optimistic but worries the more time passes without any leads. Marlena knows it’s hard to stay hopeful as she’s been there and talks about staying strong when John was missing. Marlena encourages Kayla to try and distract herself. Marlena says Kayla has always been there for her, so she’d like to do the same for her. Marlena suggests they go to the lounge for a snack which Kayla agrees to.

Stephanie manages to free one of her hands and removes the gag from her mouth, then starts working on the other tie but the door opens.

Brady asks Alex if he’s not worried about his own safety, reminding that his life was on the line. Alex asks why Jeremy would risk it now that there’s a manhunt for him. Alex adds that Jeremy only came after him to get to Stephanie. Brady then notices a woman looking at the missing persons flyers and goes to ask if she’s seen Stephanie or Jeremy. She responds that she actually has.

Leo complains about being unable to get back to sleep and decides to check in on Salem on his phone. Leo is shocked by what he finds out and declares he has to get back to Salem right away.

Steve tells Jada that in Right Out, the kidnapper was the author’s sister which doesn’t fit the case here. Jada thinks it’s still worth it to go through the books for possible clues. Alex and Brady then arrive, announcing they have something.

Kayla tells Marlena that she spoke with Joey and Tripp earlier today and they are both so worried about Stephanie. Kayla gets a call from Roman and asks Marlena to answer for her. Marlena takes the call and tells Kayla that Roman said to let her know that they are working very hard trying to track down every lead and that they will do their best to find Stephanie. Kayla worries about the worst case scenario of Jeremy hurting Stephanie. Marlena brings up that Kayla told her that Jeremy was obsessed with Stephanie, so she doesn’t believe he would do anything to harm her.

Jeremy enters the room to face Stephanie.

Alex and Brady tell Steve and Jada about the witness that said she saw Jeremy lurking outside the Brady Pub around 4 PM. Jada points out that Stephanie was already kidnapped by then. Alex feels there’s no way Jeremy would let Stephanie out of his sight. Steve questions why he was out alone then.

Leo tells Dimitri about Stephanie being kidnapped while he’s not in Salem, doing his reporting. Leo worries about whether or not Chad knows and worries that everyone in Salem must be shell shocked. Dimitri encourages that Leo could just report from Alamainia and questions how going back now is going to help. Leo responds that he doesn’t know if it will help, but Stephanie is his friend so he needs to be there for her.

Marlena tells Kayla that Jeremy doesn’t fit the typical profile of someone who would do something like this. Kayla questions if Marlena is saying that she doesn’t think Jeremy is capable of this.

Stephanie pleads with Jeremy to let her go while Jeremy tells her that she’s got it wrong and that he did not put her here.

Dimitri understands that Stephanie is important to Leo and he wants to be there for her as a friend, but asks what makes that him. Leo argues that Dimitri is a trained super spy, who always reminds him that he’s not qualified so he doesn’t need him. Dimitri argues that he wouldn’t be here if not for Leo and points out that Leo took a huge risk for him, otherwise he’d likely have been arrested for kidnapping instead of having an opportunity to prove his innocence. Dimitri tells Leo that he can leave whenever he wants, but he would be stuck here indefinitely. Dimitri then asks if that’s what Leo wanted all along.

Jada argues that they still don’t know if Jeremy had anything to do with Stephanie and she doesn’t think he would hurt her as based on the online messages, he loves in her a sick and twisted way. Alex argues that Jeremy wants him dead. Brady intervenes to say he doesn’t think they should rule out any reason why Jeremy would be out and about without Stephanie as maybe he’s not the kidnapper.

Marlena tells Kayla that if Jeremy kidnapped Stephanie, she knows he would not harm her. Kayla questions Marlena not thinking he’s capable even with all the evidence. Marlena talks about Jeremy being Rachel’s teacher and they’ve had long conversations about therapy and turning his life around. Kayla questions if Marlena thinks Jeremy is now a wonderful guy and upstanding citizen. Marlena believes that Jeremy is deeply remorseful for hurting Stephanie and everybody. Kayla questions her thinking he’s not capable of being the stalker. Marlena insists that her instinct is that Jeremy would not hurt Stephanie. Kayla tells Marlena that Jeremy stalked Stephanie, kidnapped her, and has a history of fraud, violence, and manipulation. Kayla adds that she is not buying that Jeremy has changed.

Stephanie questions how Jeremy knew where she was if he didn’t do this. Jeremy says he’ll explain later and unties her. Jeremy tells her to come with him but Stephanie yells that she’s not going anywhere with him. Jeremy tells her that he doesn’t know who the guy is, but he knows they are coming back as he insists that he’s trying to save her life, so she needs to come with him now.

Dimitri guesses Leo can go home to Salem tomorrow and says he’ll arrange for the family jet to pick him up. Leo says now that he’s calmed down, he realizes if he does go home to Salem, he will likely be arrested. Dimitri offers to reach out to Rafe to make it perfectly clear that he forced him to flee to Alamainia with him. Dimitri guesses he’ll be out of sight, out of mind but Leo calls it impossible to get him out of his head, even if they are thousands of miles away. Dimitri calls that kind of nice to hear. Leo says that he’s often in his thoughts in an unpleasant way since he complicated his life at a time where it was finally becoming uncomplicated. Leo states that he may just be a coward, but he wasn’t expecting all of this when he signed up for this adventure. Leo talks about the danger including Ivan wanting to poison them. Dimitri says he cares more about Leo’s safety than his own, so it is best for him to go home. Dimitri repeats that he will arrange for the jet but Leo stops him and says he doesn’t want to leave him there. Leo says he is the only one who believes in his innocence, so he can’t and won’t leave him here alone. Dimitri responds that he’ll be fine and that this is his country. Leo still doesn’t want him to face this on his own. Leo adds that everybody in Salem must be looking for Stephanie, so they will find her and bring her home. Leo asks who will bring Dimitri home if he leaves him here.

Marlena apologizes to Kayla for upsetting her. Kayla says she’s the one who is sorry as she’s obviously on edge but she does respect her opinion and knows she’s working on creating a profile for Jeremy and knows him more than she does. Marlena mentions trying to contact Jeremy’s therapist. Marlena offers to get Kayla a room so she can get some sleep but Kayla says she couldn’t possibly sleep. Marlena hopes she can get some rest and says she will stay right there with her as Kayla thanks her.

Steve admits there’s a slim possibility that Jeremy is innocent but the evidence against him is overwhelming. Jada talks about the drug used on the officer guarding Stephanie and how they haven’t been able to trace it. Alex questions how Jeremy could’ve gotten a drug that’s not even on the market. Brady points out that he’s a science teacher and could’ve made it himself. Steve points out that there were no chemicals found at Julie’s or in Jeremy’s classroom, unless he had it stored somewhere. Steve says there’s obviously a lot about Jeremy they still don’t know. Jada states that what they do know is that Jeremy was on foot, so Steve agrees that it’s likely he’s still somewhere in Salem.

Stephanie tries to run but Jeremy says it’s not safe for her to go out there alone. Stephanie argues that she wouldn’t be any safer with him. Jeremy says he’ll call 911 then and step away as he just wants her to get out of here. The real stalker then arrives and says it’s too late for that as he is revealed to be Owen Kent, who had kidnapped Stephanie many years ago in the past, leaving Stephanie in shock.

(to Stephanie after Owen gagged Jeremy)
Owen: He was really boring me.

(when Owen offered Stephanie and Jeremy water)
Jeremy: How do we know you didn’t drug it?
Owen: Oh, come on, you don’t. But you’re already tied up and handcuffed. What would be the point? Hydration, anyone? No? Yes? Ah, well, fine, suit yourself. But I hope you don’t post a bad review of me as a host.

EJ: Don’t you ever work?
Xander: A damn lot harder than you ever have.
EJ: And yet you have the time to hover around here day and night, like the social equivalent of static cling. No wonder Titan’s on the rocks.

(to Gwen)
EJ: You’re still here? I figured you’d be off trying to find Stephanie. That reward money won’t collect itself.

(when EJ told Gwen she could do better than Xander)
Gwen: Now, why would I take romance advice from you, eh? I don’t see you breaking any beds around here?

(to Tate about the pregnancy test results)
Holly: God, this is taking forever. Are you sure you didn’t set the timer for five years?

Recap written by Michele and Cheryl

Steve and Jada looked through the tips at the police station. It turned out to be a waste of time since Stephanie never left the hospital. Kayla called Steve to tell him to check a private hanger Abe’s nephew Jett told him about. Chad called Steve to tell him that Thomas found Stephanie’s phone and gave it to Jeremy. Steve and Jada talked about Jeremy possibly not being the stalker. They suspected that someone was framing Jeremy. Jada thought they were grasping at straws. Steve wanted to go through the Halloween footage again and saw a mask. He said it might not be Jeremy. Owen showed up at the hospital to relieve Rolf. Rolf told Owen to watch the sensors carefully. He said brain activity would begin when things were finished. When Rolf was about to leave, he noticed Stephanie’s ring in the garbage. Owen lied and said he was going to give it to his girlfriend, but got scared. Rolf kept asking him about it. He gave Owen love advice. Owen went to check on Jeremy and Stephanie. When Stephanie woke up, she started her plan of making Owen think she was in love with him. Owen fell for Stephanie’s act. When an alarm went off, he said he had to leave. Stephanie pointed out to Jeremy that Owen forgot to gag them. She suggested that they scream if they heard anyone.

Owen called Rolf to tell him there was a sign of life. EJ wanted to ask Cat out to dinner until Paulina showed up. Paulina had a surprise inspection and had proof that he was siphoning power from other businesses. Rolf texted EJ to let him know that “she” was waking up. When EJ was about to leave, Paulina stopped him and threatened him. EJ wanted Paulina to go with him. Rolf was proud of his work. EJ sent him a text to get rid of the pod. Stephanie helped Jeremy with his finger. When the door opened, they screamed. The person who showed up turned out to be Owen. He gagged them. EJ took Paulina to the lab so she could see the pod. He told Paulina there was someone he wanted her to meet. When EJ opened the pod, Paulina was shocked. She said it was Lexie.

Sophia was messing with Holly’s medication when Melinda showed up. She wanted Sophia to tell her if she could stop Johnny and Chanel from adopting her baby. Melinda said she never agreed to that. She wanted Sophia to focus on the future and her recovery. Sophia wasn’t convinced. She thought Johnny and Chanel would forget about her baby once their baby was born. Sophia told Melinda that she would go to the Bar about her unethical behavior. Melinda tried to call Sophia’s bluff when she was about to leave. Sophia demanded that Melinda come back and told her what she wanted her to do. She wanted Melinda to give the gift to Rachel or else she would regret it.

The specialist told Chanel and Johnny that things looked like they were going to be fine. Johnny wondered why all the doctors told them to wait to have a baby. Dr. Crawford told them that they would only be able to spot any possible cancer recurrence after she gave birth. The doctor said the fetus was developing nicely. When Johnny mentioned Chanel’s cramps, the doctor wanted to run more tests. Sophia called Rachel to tell her that the vitamins were on the way. Rachel didn’t feel good about it. She was really suspicious of Sophia when she told her to slip them in Holly’s purse. Rachel ended up agreeing to do it. Holly checked the pregnancy test and saw how it was negative. She wondered what was wrong with her. Tate suggested that she talk to a therapist. He asked her to get bloodwork done.

Days Update Thursday, February 26, 2026

Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Johnny goes home to Chanel, who says she had been trying to reach him all day. Johnny says he’s been in meetings so his phone was off and asks if something is wrong. Chanel then reveals to him that his cousin Stephanie has been kidnapped.

Paulina and Abe are at home as Abe is going through the list of empty buildings that Stephanie could be being held in. Abe mentions sending some to Steve and that Jada said she would send units out. They talk about knowing what Steve and Kayla are going through. Theo comes in and announces that he has great news.

EJ is at home, on the phone telling them to do whatever they have to do to find Stephanie Johnson. EJ adds that he is upset because the police are going over his hospital and he doesn’t need more people snooping around. EJ tells them to work faster as he hangs up. Susan comes in and asks what’s going on as she can hear him from upstairs. EJ reveals that Stephanie was abducted from the hospital and no one can find her.

Rachel and Tate play checkers at home. Rachel notes Tate being distracted. Tate explains that he had a thing with Holly and he can’t stop checking for news on Stephanie. Rachel is just glad that he could hang out with her while Brady is helping look for Stephanie. Rachel brings up the police thinking Mr. Horton is the one who kidnapped her and says she always knew he was creepy but no one would believe her. Rachel wins the game of checkers and they talk about what to play next until there’s a knock at the door and Holly arrives and says she came to tell Tate that she’s sorry.

EJ tells Susan that Stephanie is one of his most valuable employees, so he’s distraught over this and prays that she’s found safe. Susan realizes that this means she was right when she said Stephanie’s book would come true as Stephanie went missing just like the author in her book. EJ questions when she said this. Susan says it was months ago when the book came out and everybody made fun of her because it didn’t happen right then. Susan wishes it never happened, but what she predicted has finally come to pass.

Paulina says they could use some great news. Theo informs them that he saw his neurologist earlier and he’s still not 100% but he’s been cleared to return to normal activities next week which means driving, exercising, and working. Theo says he already told Johnny that he’s taking over again at DiMera.

Chanel tells Johnny that she’s been feeling so helpless. Johnny apologizes for not being there. Chanel says it’s okay as he’s there now. Johnny says he does have some news that might cheer her up a little bit and announces that Theo’s doctors cleared him to return to work which means he is leaving DiMera and going back to Titan. Chanel is relieved as she hugs him.

At Bayview, Sophia looks through a bag that her mother left her and finds her meds, lotion, and a bottle of Holly’s skincare supplements with a note that says she hopes it’s everything she wanted. Sophia declares that it will be.

Rachel asks what Holly is sorry for. Tate tells Rachel it’s her bedtime and promises they will play poker tomorrow as he sends her to her room. Holly calls it impressive that Rachel listens to Tate. Tate comments on Rachel’s medication helping her. Holly guesses Brady is out looking for Stephanie which Tate confirms and says there are no leads yet. Holly says the whole situation got her thinking about taking people for granted. Holly apologizes to Tate for being horrible to him earlier and says she doesn’t know how he will ever be able to forgive her.

Rachel goes to her room and gets a phone call from Sophia, but she declines it.

EJ asks if Susan can sense where Stephanie is now. Susan says she will keep trying and let him know if she feels anything. EJ asks when Susan leaves tomorrow. Susan apologizes for leaving in the middle of all of this but says she’s been separated from Roger for so long. They hug and say they will miss each other.

Chanel is relieved that Johnny will be around more and there will be less stress. Johnny acknowledges how much she hated him working at DiMera. Chanel says only because it kept him so busy and she thought EJ would use it to worm his way back into his life. Johnny points out that EJ didn’t do that and admits he’s surprised how much EJ has left him alone. Chanel asks when his last day is. Johnny says probably in a week or so. Chanel asks if Johnny is happy about this too. Johnny assures that he is and that he never wanted to work at DiMera in the first place, but he did fast track Bonnie’s book to presses tomorrow so he feels like he left his mark and hopes he’s leaving the company stronger than it was when he got there.

Abe questions Theo going back to work at DiMera. Theo responds that he already knows how Abe feels about him running DiMera. Abe is not sure he does. Paulina tells Theo to understand that they are more worried than ever about his connection to the DiMeras after he was kidnapped and nearly killed. Abe guesses that doesn’t concern Theo and decides he needs some air, so he walks out. Theo feels he shouldn’t have said anything and let Abe enjoy the good news first. Paulina encourages that Abe’s outburst had nothing to do with Theo, so he asks what it was about then. Paulina explains that Abe is shaken up by the news about Stephanie which Theo questions as he wasn’t aware.

Holly apologizes to Tate for going off on him earlier and says she doesn’t know why she’s been acting so crazy lately. Tate says she’s not crazy and suggests not using that word. Holly apologizes as she wasn’t thinking about Rachel. Holly apologizes for acting so angry all the time and blames being sleep deprived and being disappointed about the sorority, so she didn’t mean to bring up all the ancient history with Tate and Sophia. Tate guesses it’s not really ancient history and that Holly still doesn’t trust him.

Sophia is pleased to see that #hollyjonasisabitch is a trending hashtag on her phone. Sophia then calls Rachel and says she’s really missed her. Rachel says she misses her too, but Sophia doesn’t think Rachel misses her or Bayview, but she’s glad one of them finally got out. Sophia asks if it’s great to be home. Rachel confirms she’s pretty happy about it. Sophia brings up that Rachel didn’t respond to her text. Rachel responds that she was afraid she would get in trouble because she’s not supposed to talk to her. Sophia argues that she really needs her help. Rachel states that she cannot help her. Sophia questions why not since she thought they were friends. Rachel says they are and then says she has to go because she is supposed to be in bed. Sophia stops her and threatens to tell Brady that Rachel stole money out of his wallet.

Johnny asks Chanel about her appointment with Sarah. Chanel says it was pretty good and then reveals she got to hear the baby’s heartbeat. Johnny calls that amazing and wishes he could’ve been there. Chanel says he can hear it next time live, but he can hear it now too because she recorded it. Chanel then plays the recording for Johnny which excites him as he says he can’t believe it. They agree that it’s the most beautiful sound they’ve ever heard.

Abe goes to the DiMera Mansion. EJ asks if there’s any update on Stephanie. Abe says he’s afraid there’s no news yet, but that’s not why he stopped by. Abe asks EJ how he feels about Johnny remaining in the CEO chair at DiMera, because he wants to keep Theo out of it more than ever. EJ is very glad to hear him say that.

Rachel argues that Sophia is the one who told her to take Brady’s money, so she could buy a phone. Sophia admits she shouldn’t have said that and cries that it just hasn’t been the same without her and she’s starting to get lonely. Sophia adds that she doesn’t have Holly as a friend anymore and she doesn’t want to get Rachel in trouble, but she really needs this favor and claims it’s actually a nice thing, so Rachel asks what it is. Sophia informs Rachel that she will send her a bottle of vitamins and all she needs to do is get them to Holly for her. Sophia says that Holly came to see her and make up with her, so she really wants to do this for her but she can’t do it without Rachel’s help. Rachel decides if it’s just giving Holly some vitamins, she can do that. Sophia adds that Rachel can’t tell Holly that they came from her.

Holly assures Tate that she completely trusts him and her spiraling had nothing to do with him or Sophia and she’s mad at herself for even bringing it up because everything was going great and normal again until she completely screwed it up. Tate assures that she hasn’t screwed anything up and kisses her.

Chanel tells Johnny that she’ll never get over the miracle that there’s another heart beating inside of her. Johnny agrees that it’s a miracle. Chanel is really glad that he came around to wanting the baby. Johnny insists that he always wanted the baby, just not at the expense of her health or life. Chanel reminds him that the chances of her cancer coming back are the same whether she’s pregnant or not and the odds are very low. Chanel admits she’ll never stop worrying but she feels so happy now, so she won’t let a tiny bit of worry bring down her joy. Johnny tells Chanel that he loves her so much and kisses her.

EJ tells Abe that from what he hears, Johnny is a natural at DiMera. EJ says that he’s been hands-off but Rita says Johnny has taken to the job and seems to be enjoying it more every day. Abe is glad to hear that but says he knows Theo has done a fine job as CEO as well. EJ agrees that Theo is a very bright young man. Abe wants Theo to use his gifts for good without putting his life on the line at DiMera.

Theo asks Paulina if the police have any leads on who could’ve taken Stephanie. Paulina informs him that they think it’s Jeremy Horton as they have a past and he apparently never got over her. Paulina adds that the security footage showed Stephanie going in to the hospital, but not coming out. They agree that they have to figure out how she got out and where Jeremy took her.

Abe is glad that he and EJ are on the same page. EJ completely understands why Abe doesn’t want Theo taking over as CEO of DiMera. Abe asks what he’s going to do about it. EJ says that he has a plan, but he thinks it’s best if Abe know as little as possible. Abe is not agreeing to anything unless he knows that Theo won’t be harmed. EJ promises he won’t be, but his plan will be deployed and he thinks Abe will be very satisfied with the result.

Chanel finishes a call with Paulina and tells Johnny that there’s still no word on Stephanie. Johnny can’t imagine how worried Steve and Kayla are right now. Johnny decides it’s time for comfort food and goes to get ice cream sundaes but Chanel gets a sudden pain.

Tate tells Holly that he should make sure Rachel is asleep before they get too carried away.

Rachel questions Sophia wanting her to give Holly a gift but not tell her that it’s from her and says it sounds shady. Sophia insists it’s not and that Holly loves the vitamins, so Rachel asks why she can’t tell her they are from her. Sophia explains that Holly is still mad at her so she might not take them if she knows they are from her, but she wants Holly to know that her coming to see her meant a lot to her by getting her something she knows she likes. Rachel questions how Holly would know Sophia is trying to do something nice for her if she’s not going to tell her the vitamins came from her. Tate then comes in and questions who Rachel was just talking to as she hides her phone. Rachel then claims she was just saying goodnight to her stuffed snake Seymour. Tate gives Rachel her meds and tells her to get her pajamas on and get in bed. Sophia listens in from the phone as Tate tells Rachel he loves her and goodnight as he then exits. Rachel then sneaks out of her room as Tate goes back to the living room. Tate and Holly start kissing as Rachel looks disgusted and goes back to her room. Rachel picks up her phone and tells Sophia that she has to go. Sophia asks how Tate is doing. Rachel says he’s pretty good but also pretty cringe since he and Holly are making out on the couch right now, which triggers Sophia in to getting upset and suddenly dropping the call.

Chanel tells Johnny that it was nothing but a sudden twinge and that Sarah said those are nothing to worry about. Chanel then decides against ice cream right before bed. Chanel says she’s exhausted but Johnny decides he will stay up a little while longer. Chanel thought Johnny was sending EJ’s gift back. Johnny says he’s getting to it. Chanel knows Johnny didn’t want to hurt EJ’s feelings, but feels it’s better if he does so EJ can get the message to just leave them alone and stop sending them things. Johnny decides he can just trash it. Chanel says she just wants it out of here as she heads to bed. Johnny then picks up EJ’s gift but hesitates over throwing it in the trash.

Abe returns home and apologizes for storming out. Theo says it’s okay and that Paulina just told him about Stephanie. Paulina says they are all on edge and asks if getting air helped Abe. Abe responds that it did and he feels better.

Susan joins EJ in the living room and says that she knows EJ is hiding Stefano’s phoenix ring on his finger. Susan warns him to tread carefully because he might be Stefano’s son but he’s not the Phoenix, so she couldn’t bear anything happening to him as she hugs EJ.

Johnny decides to open EJ’s baby gift which is a silver cup with John Paul DiMera engraved on it. Johnny then puts the box in the trash and slips the cup in to his work bag.

Y&R Raves and Rants #8

Young and the Restless Opinion Article

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) on "The Young and the Restless" on CBS/Paramount+ (photo from screencap)

Article written by Barbara 3/6/26

Here is what I liked and disliked about Y&R for the week of 3/2/2026 (just my humble opinions, no particular order, just random musings)

Raves: 👍

Victoria and Nikki looked beautiful in the 3/2/2026 episode … Victoria’s top was beautiful and her hair looked great pulled up into a bun. Nikki’s blue flowered blouse really brought out her blue eyes.

I liked Sharon’s blue denim shirt, outfit and casual look (light makeup, hair straight down).

Enjoyed the friendly conversation between Kyle and Claire at the bar in Society. I’m not much of a Claire fan, but there’s chemistry between these two. (Nonetheless, I think she overdoes it just a bit with facial expressions and eye movements – in these scenes and in the scenes with her and Victoria on 3/6/2026.)

Ooh, another solid female friendship – Tessa and Sienna. It’s continuing to be refreshing to see women bonding rather than sniping at each other or gossiping about each other.

Billy Flynn did a great job projecting his character’s Cane’s desperation to get his family back when he was begging Phyllis to help him. I could almost feel his anxiety.

Likewise, Jason Thompson did a great job projecting his character Billy’s panic and desperation to find out what happened to his brother, Jack, who as of 3/6/2026 appeared to have been kidnapped by Victor.

Rants: 👎

In a word … Sienna. I cannot stand that fake, forced, tough and gritty type accent of hers. This character just really annoys me.

Gee, only one rant. Apparently, this was a good week for me on Y&R. 😁

The opinions in these articles are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of TVMEG.COM or its other volunteers.

Y&R Best Lines Thursday, 3/5/26

Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Sally (Courtney Hope) on Young and The Restless - CBS/Paramoujt+ (pic from screencaps)

Best Lines provided by Barbara

Sally: I know you’re not a fan of Billy’s.
Audra: I mean, it’s not about him. I mean, yes, he’s insensitive, impulsive, self-centered…
Sally: Okay. But it’s not about him?
Audra: You could say that about almost any man, Sally. It’s the nature of the species.

Audra: Okay, I’m sorry, but sure does seem like one night of great sex has turned a big corner for you.
Sally: Hey, it was a lot more than that.
Audra: Sorry. I didn’t mean to presume. I was just being a little bitchy. But I’m not wrong about how he hurt you. Or everything you had to give up to be his partner. Marchetti was a pretty good gig.
Sally: I do not regret any of my decisions.

Audra: Even before last night?

Sally: Even before.
Audra: Okay, like I said, it’s your life, your choices. It’s none of my business. But I’d still run for the hills if it were me.
Sally: Even if it were Nate?
Audra: Unfair.
Sally: Why?
Audra: Because I was the one who screwed that up, not him.

Sally: I have never been one to play it safe. So why do I do that with my relationships? I believe in Billy and me. And … for the first time in my life, I am choosing love … over fear.

Billy: Hey. Where’s Jack?
Kyle: Hey. He flew to Chicago on some Jabot business. What’s going on?
Billy: You know that for sure?
Kyle: Know what?
Billy: That he’s in Chicago.
Kyle: Yeah. It was a last-minute thing. He texted my mom and me last night.
Billy: Okay. Where’s he staying?
Kyle: Okay, just slow down, Billy.
Billy: Kyle, what hotel is he at?
Kyle: No. First you’re gonna tell me why you’re flying around here like a bat out of hell. What’s wrong?
Billy: Look, I hope that it’s nothing, but I don’t think it is.
Kyle: Just tell me.
Billy: Is Diane here? She needs to hear this.
Diane: I – I’m right here. Billy, what’s going on?
Billy: Victor kidnapped Jack.

Sally: You’re probably so bored of this by now – “The amazing adventures of Billy and Sally.”
Audra: Are you kidding? I am a sucker for dysfunctional relationships. That’s my jam, girl.
Sally: Well, I am really glad we could be so entertaining for you.
Audra: Oh, it’s better than television.

Sally: Uh, let’s not forget that I came into this relationship with a lot of baggage of my own.
Audra: Sally, you brought a purse. Billy had a whole set of luggage.

Audra: I get the attraction between you and Billy. You know, he’s got that smile, he’s got those charms. And when he looks at you … man … I want that look one of these days. I want someone to see me and just, uh … light up the way Billy does when he sees you.
Sally: You will.
Audra: Yeah, maybe in like 20 years or so.
Sally: Audra, you will. You just haven’t found the right guy yet.

Claire: Is there any update? Has Grandpa figured out a way to save the company?
Victoria: No, nothing so far. However, he says he has a new plan in the works, but as usual, he won’t tell any of us about it.
Claire: Mm. Sounds like Grandpa.
Victoria: Yeah. It’s very frustrating for all of us. We’re smart people. We have ideas. But when things get critical, he always insists on taking care of everything himself.
Claire (snickering): Mm-hmm.
Victoria: Why is that funny?
Claire: It’s kind of funny,
Victoria: Is it? Why?
Claire: Okay. Well, I think it’s kind of ironic to hear you complaining about Grandpa, wanting to handle things all on his own when I think secretly you would like to be doing the same thing yourself.

Adam: What do you think you’re doing?
Kyle: Calling the cops.
Victor: I wouldn’t do that if I were you
Kyle: I don’t give a damn what you think.
Victor: You don’t call the cops without reporting a crime.
Diane: Well, kidnapping is a crime, Victor.
Victor: How do you know he didn’t just decide to take a vacation?

Victor: Listen, if you wanna know more, just contact your idiot Uncle Billy Boy, okay?

Kyle: If you do anything to hurt my father, I will make it my mission in life to destroy you, Victor.
Victor: Listen to me, boy. Instead of threatening me … why don’t you contact your idiot Uncle Billy Boy? I want my company back. He has the means to do it. See to it that he does!

Sally: So what are you gonna do?
Billy: If this is about getting a signature on a piece of paper, then I call my attorneys and I get it done.
Sally: But I thought you said that you thought Phyllis was stalling.
Billy: Yeah, I mean it’s either that or it’s Phyllis, you know, making me sweat just for old times’ sake.

Sally: Do you really think Victor would do something like that? You really think he’s gonna hurt Jack?
Billy: I think it would be a very big mistake to underestimate Victor’s hatred for my brother. I mean, we’re talking a decades-long rivalry, and that match is very quick to light.

Kyle: God! I wanna hit him!
Diane (scoffs): Well, you would have had to have stood in line behind me.

Y&R Best Lines Wednesday, 3/4/26

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) on "The Young and the Restless" on CBS/Paramount+ (photo from screencap)

Best Lines provided by Barbara

Nikki: Well, I”m glad you couldn’t track him down. I would have worried that you wouldn’t have been able to stop yourself from doing something we would all regret.
Nick: Anything that gets that psycho out of our lives for good would not be regrettable.
Nikki: It would be if it landed you in jail.
Victoria; You know, Nick, Matt could have killed you. You’re lucky that only one leg was shattered. I’m with Mom. I’m glad that you weren’t able to track him down.
Victor: I don’t like not knowing where he is. It gives him the upper hand.
Nick: Agreed. Feels like the calm before the storm. The problem is, we don’t know what direction that storm is coming from or when it’s gonna hit.

Cane: I truly believe that the only reason she’s continuing down this path and refuses to give it up is because she has nothing left. She’s clinging to this new role as CEO, not because she’s enjoying it, but because she feels abandoned by the people that matter to her most.
Daniel: Abandoned? She abandoned us!. She’s operating with a blatant disregard for the people that you claim that she loves. You know why? Because all she cares about is being one of Genoa City’s power elite. Everything else, that just – it falls by the wayside now.
Cane: Look, I’m just telling you what I observed the last time I spoke with her, and it’s not someone who’s reveling in being on top. Okay? She’s suddenly aware of what it cost her to get what she always wanted.
Daniel: That’s good. ‘Cause if losing us gets my mother to wake up to the mistakes that she’s made, I’m willing to be that sacrificial lamb.

Phyllis: This is a multinational company. You think I’m just gonna hand you Chancellor, what, and jot something down on a cocktail napkin or write some scribble on your hand or something? Come on!
Billy: I”m gonna need reassurances apart from a reworded contract.
Phyllis: You know what I’m gonna need? I’m gonna need you to be less paranoid. No one’s trying to attack you. No one’s trying to stab you in the back. You and your attorneys will thank me after this is done, okay?
Billy: I’m gonna hold you to that, Phyllis.
Phyllis: Great. Do that. In the meantime, while you’re waiting for the sweetheart of a deal, why don’t you spend time with your sweetheart? In your robes and your little socks. Your coffee mugs. While you … while you enjoy your nonprofessional life.

Billy: It’s happening, Victor. Chancellor Industries is now in the hands of its rightful leader. I know it’s a shock to hear it said out loud, but it feels pretty good to me, especially saying it to you.
Victor: I’ve got news for you. Chancellor Industries will be back in my hands before the end of the business day.
Billy (chuckles): That’s funny. You working on your stand-up routine now that you have so much time on your hands?
Victor: I’ll be very busy once the company belongs to me again.
Billy: I think all of this is making you a little delusional because there is not a chance in hell that I will be handing Chancellor Industries back to you.
Victor: If you don’t … neither you nor anyone in your family … will ever see Jack Abbott again.

Interview with director/producers Charlie Sadoff, Gabriel London and debate coach Danielle Dupree on PBS by Suzanne 3/5/26

This is such an interesting documentary about Washington DC teens learning about debating and how it changes their lives. It’s very informative, uplifting and heart-tugging. I enjoyed speaking with the two men who made the film, as well as one of the woman that appears in it.

Immutable is a feature documentary that follows a group of students from the Washington Urban Debate League as they fight to find their voices in a world that too often tries to silence them. Against the backdrop of a city marked by inequality, these young debaters confront daily challenges that range from housing instability to neurodivergence. For some, debate is a path to college. For others, it’s a lifeline.

We meet them at a summer debate camp, where their journey begins—not just to win tournaments, but to sharpen arguments that reflect their own lives. One girl, autistic and fearless, demands the world see people with special needs as whole. Others argue for economic policy reforms while navigating poverty themselves. As multiple seasons unfold, Immutable captures the grit, intellect, and heart of students who are determined to not only become top-tier debaters but to change the course of their lives.

The film, which is airing on National Speech and Debate Day as part of the PBS America @ 250 commemoration of the country’s 250th anniversary, comes at a time of deep division in the United States. Debate, which emphasizes civil discourse and the ability to argue all sides of an issue, makes the film especially timely.

Gabriel London is an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose films have tackled major policy issues of the day from mass incarceration to climate change. Gabriel won the Albert R. The resulting films, No Escape: Prison Rape in America, received the Soros Criminal Justice Award and were instrumental in the passage of Prison Rape Elimination Act. Gabriel has made intimate documentaries with notable talent, including Drew Barrymore’s film on voting, The Best Place to Start, and Snoop Dogg’s autobiographical story, Youth Authority: California.
