Joey saw Vanessa opening a box of Doug’s belongings in the garage. He convinced her to go inside to get something to eat. While he was alone, he looked through the box and found a letter from Doug. The letter was about what happened if something happened to him. Joey didn’t tell Vanessa about the letter. Later Vanessa had lunch with Deanna. Deanna suggested that Vanessa and Joey go out with her and Donnell for dinner. She called Donnell, and he told her that he couldn’t make it. Doug told Deanna that she was doing the right thing. Joey read Doug’s letter, and it stated that he was responsible for his death. Kenny (the racist who had the run in with Martin and Vernon) was responsible for Doug’s death too. Joey called Randy and ordered him to find out if Doug had safe deposit boxes where he might have kept incriminating information. Vanessa arrived and told him about going out to dinner with her kids. Joey didn’t think it was a good idea. After Vanessa left the room, Joey read Doug’s letter again. He flashed back to Doug threatening to go Jacob with the information he knew. Joey burned the letter in the fireplace. Bill decided to check himself out of the hospital despite Madison’s objections. Chelsea decided to call Hayley about it. Hayley was at Uptown and was celebrating Bill’s impending death with Randy. Randy thought Madison might figure out what happened to Bill. Hayley wanted him to find a way to deal with the problems in the hospital lab. Randy said he had other things to deal with. He let her know that he had to befriend Deanna. After she finished talking to Randy, Hayley went to the hospital to confront Bill about leaving the hospital too early.

Sharon and Tracey showed up to visit Anita. They wanted her to go tour with them now that she’s better. Anita wasn’t ready to go on tour, but she was willing to record with them again. Jacob went with Naomi to her appointment with Monica. They talked about the different options. Naomi felt like the double mastectomy was the best option. Monica informed her that the BRCA gene could lead to other cancers too. She told Naomi that she should consider getting her ovaries, Fallopian tubes, and uterus removed as well. Monica told her to think about it before she made a decision.

Dani texted Naomi to check on Bill. Naomi ignored the text. Madison showed up to run more tests on Bill. He was okay with the tests until he found out he had to stay in the hospital. Hayley pretended to be worried about Bill. Ashley and Shanice didn’t buy her act. Shanice and Ashley talked about their relationships and how happy they were. Hayley went to Bill’s room. Naomi wanted Hayley to convince Bill to stay in the hospital to find out what was going on with him. Hayley pretended to convince him to stay. She left to pick up some of Bill’s things. Nicole went to see Dani and was surprised that Dani wasn’t by Bill’s side. Dani said there was nothing to revisit. When Nicole left, Dani went to the hospital. Dani let Chelsea know she was there to support her and Naomi. Bill wanted to know if that was the real reason she was there. He told her he was scared. Dani said he would be fine. She said she wouldn’t accept a world without him in it.

Ted tried to make Tomas feel better about the proposal but it didn’t work. Tomas said he wasn’t where he wanted to be in life. Later on, Ted met with Andre at the restaurant. Andre told Ted that Dani wouldn’t take the preventive measures against cancer. Ted told him to step back and be present. He told Andre to love Dani hard so there were no regrets. Ted talked to Andre about why he hasn’t told Shanice that he loved her. He said he only told Nicole and Leslie that he loved them. Ted said he didn’t want to hurt Shanice the way he hurt Leslie. Andre wanted him to take his own advice. When Hayley went to Bill’s office, she saw Tomas in Bill’s chair. Tomas got out of the chair and said he was there for some files. Hayley said this might be the time for him to seize the moment. She said he wouldn’t be the only one trying to get Bill’s seat. Tomas thought the person was Naomi. When he found out Naomi was doing things for Bill, Tomas was upset that Naomi was trying to take over when he was the one that was there for Bill when she turned her back on him.

Bill said he was okay, but Madison wanted him to go to the hospital. He got his tests done, but they came back inconclusive. Madison thought something could still be wrong with him. Hayley pretended to be worried about Bill, but Naomi didn’t believe her. Naomi thought she should go after someone younger. Hayley wasn’t happy that Naomi called Dani. Bill agreed to make changes, but he wasn’t going to hand Madison’s case over to Naomi. Later Madison let Bill know that he didn’t have a stroke. She refused to let him leave the hospital until he had more blood work done. Madison was determined to find out what happened to Bill. Hayley became worried when Madison said she wanted to find out what was going on with Bill. Chelsea apologized to Kat for turning her liver donation into a promo for their purse line. Kat thought it was a good idea to use their business to educate people about donating, but she didn’t want to be the face of the campaign. She didn’t want to be publicly associated with Eva. Kat agreed to let Chelsea reach out to Eva about going public with the donation.

Dani saw Andre looking a pictures of women with double mastectomies. He loved capturing empowering women in his pictures. Dani called him out because she thought he was talking about her. She snapped at him and told him that she wasn’t a cancer patient and may never be one. Dani wanted him to prove that his feelings didn’t change for her and wanted him to make love to her. As they began to make love, Naomi called Dani to let her know that Bill was in the hospital. Dani surprised Naomi by telling her that she wasn’t going to the hospital. She went back to seducing Andre, but he stopped her because she seemed to be trying too hard. Dani saw it as a rejection. They ended up fighting over it. Andre thought she had Bill on her mind. Dani thought he was afraid of what could happen in the future. Andre insisted that he loved her, but she only heard her insecurities. He assured her that he was in their marriage for the long haul.

Jacob told Naomi that he was trying to process the idea of her getting a double mastectomy. He said the only thing that mattered was that she was healthy and by his side for a long time. She left to go to the deposition. Mike showed up to Bill’s office letting them know that he was going to win the case against Madison. Madison showed up and was ready for the case. During the deposition, Mike grilled Madison. Bill and Naomi objected throughout the questioning. Madison remained calm throughout the questions. Mike continued to question Madison, while Bill was getting upset. When it was Bill’s turn to question Madison, he couldn’t focus and became woozy. Madison tried to figure out what was going on with him. Hayley pretended to be concerned about Bill. Jacob told Naomi that he was trying to process the idea of her getting a double mastectomy. He said the only thing that mattered was that she was healthy and by his side for a long time. Jacob met with Smitty at Orphey Gene’s. They talked about the Impaler and how the person escaped justice. Dani went to see Ashley. Ashley thought Dani was upset about her keeping Naomi’s secret. Dani thanked her for being there for Naomi. She wanted Ashley to tell her what Naomi was going through. They talked about what Dani’s plan was going to be with the BRCA gene. Dani said she didn’t want to focus all her energy on it.

Naomi wanted to talk to Dani about something. She told Dani that she betrayed Jacob. Dani thought she cheated on Jacob. Naomi said she was a carrier of the BRCA gene. She told Dani that she was worried about how Jacob was going to react to the news. Dani gave her advice on how to deal with it. Later on when Naomi went home, she told Jacob the truth about being a carrier. She admitted that she has been lying about it to everyone for months. Jacob stood by her side. He said he would be by her side. Naomi said she was going to make her risk lower by having a double mastectomy. When Andre came home, Dani went to him and blamed herself for not being a safe space for Naomi. Andre tried to comfort her, but it didn’t do any good. They ended up arguing over what she could do to lower her risk of cancer. Dani said she wasn’t going to have the radical surgery Naomi considered having. Andre said he loved her body as well as the person inside. Kat let Vernon and Anita know that she was moving into a condo. She said recent things let her know that life goes by fast. Kat thought it was time for her own independence. Later on, Kat went to see Martin. He apologized to her for pressuring her into saving Eva. Kat told him about the dream she had and that she and Eva were on better ground.

Tomas admitted to Kat that he didn’t want to move into a condo with her because he didn’t want to be kept man. He brought up his culture and didn’t want to step into her life. They were supposed to build a life together. He feared that people thought he wanted her for the money. They came up with a plan that worked for both of them. Tomas would stay over occasionally and pay rent until they came up with a plan that worked for both of them. Leslie wanted Jacob to find information about Monica so she wouldn’t have any issues like she did with Lia. After he talked with Leslie, Jacob went home. Naomi planned to tell him the truth about her having the BRCA gene, but he wanted to take her out to make up for the time they lost together. The couple ended up at Uptown. Grayson was working as a bartender there. The manager gave Grayson a part-time job there. Ashley helped Jacob give Naomi an anniversary gift. He vowed to make sure she knew what mattered the most to him.

Leslie had a meeting with Monica. Monica’s the new chief of staff at Garland. She told Leslie that the hospital was cutting ties with the clinic. Leslie wondered if she did that because of the way she treated Shanice. Monica admitted that was why she did it. Leslie found out that Monica was messing with her head to see if she was a changed woman. They made an arrangement to work together. Each woman wanted to keep an eye out for the other.

Kat and Eva were released from the hospital. Joey and Vanessa were back from their trip away. Vanessa made plans to hang out with Deanna. Deanna was still talking to Doug. The Duprees had the party for Kat. Vernon and Anita were shocked with Nicole and Ted informed them about Tomas’ proposal. They hoped Tomas would be smart and not go through with the  proposal. Vernon was making a speech when Tomas interrupted him. He got down on one knee to propose to Kat. Chelsea tried to warn him not to propose to Kat. Kat became uncomfortable, and everyone else grew silent. She took Tomas to another room so they could talk. While they were talking, Kat told Tomas that she wanted to marry him. She just didn’t want to do it right now. Kat wanted to get married for the right reasons. They went back to the party. Tomas was embarrassed, but he realized that it was the right decision. Vernon made a toast to Kat.

Vanessa and Deanna enjoyed a day at the spa. Joey wanted Randall to keep a close eye on Deanna. Randall wasn’t happy about the assignment since Doug was his best friend. Joey wanted to stop Deanna before she tried anything. Later Vanessa told Joey that Deanna wanted to work at the real estate agency with her. He became more suspicious of her when he heard that. Joey thought that was a bad idea. Vanessa planned on letting her work with her at the agency. Jacob wondered what happened to the Impaler. He wasn’t sure if the person was still around. Marcel told him that criminals get sloppy. He believed the Impaler would make a mistake eventually. Jacob agreed to let Marcel look into the case.

Deanna told Kat that she would rather give her organs to science than give them to Joey. She said she wasn’t afraid of Joey because if he did anything to her it would hurt her mother. Kat suggested that Deanna forgive rather than lose time with her mother. Later on, Deanna went to Uptown and saw Vanessa and Joey planning to go away with each other. She talked to Doug about Vanessa and Joey. Doug was surprised that she hadn’t found a way to ruin Vanessa and Joey’s relationship. He told her to stop pushing her mother away. Doug to Deanna to outsmart Doug instead of fighting with him. Deanna took Doug’s advice and tried to play nice with Vanessa and Joey. She told Vanessa that she wanted her to be happy.

Hayley told Bill that he would have had sex with Dani if she hadn’t walked in. Bill tried to calm her down but it didn’t do any good. She ended up telling him to send the employees home so she could have her way with him. Hayley slipped the drug in his drink. She tried to talk him into skydiving so she could try and kill him. Leslie told Eva that she changed and was going to move in with her. Izaiah didn’t think Leslie should move in with her. Kial let Nicole know that he was talking Kat on as a patient.

Naomi didn’t believe Dani when she said there was nothing left between her and Bill other than the love of their children. Dani said Andre was the only man in her heart. Naomi said she caught him fantasizing about her. Ashley wanted Naomi to meet her at Orphey Gene. Hayley asked Bill why his appetite for food and her have disappeared since the tornado. Bill said he was dealing with the emotional fallout since Martin and Kat were almost killed. Hayley said she was glad nothing happened to Andre because Dani would have played the widow card to be back in his arms. Bill told her about a fantasy he had. Hayley said she would meet him at the office. Dani went to Bill’s office to confront him about what Naomi told her. She told him that she wasn’t going to lose her marriage because he was sloppy. Dani said she was going to let him blow up her life again. Randy met with Hayley. She told him that she had to have sex with Bill when she wanted to kill him. Randy told her that Bill wanted to be with Dani.

Things became intense between Dani and Bill. While they were arguing, Hayley walked in on Bill holding Dani’s arm. He stopped her from trying to hit him. Dani told her that nothing was going on. She noticed the way Hayley was dressed and thought that he was recycling what they already did. At the hospital, Kat told Chelsea that Eva would never be her sister. Chelsea wanted to name a bag after Kat based on what she did, but Kat wasn’t interested. Kat wanted the proceeds to go to real heroes. While they were talking, Kat said she wasn’t ready to get married. Tomas asked Ted for Kat’s hand in marriage. Ted gave Tomas his blessing. Naomi met with Ashley. She asked Naomi if Derek would forgive her for moving on with the man responsible for his death. Naomi said Grayson wasn’t responsible for Derek’s death. She told Ashley that she and Derek wouldn’t judge her. Grayson showed up to see Ashley. She told him that she wanted to forgive him. They got back together, but they couldn’t lie to each other. Anita and Vernon went to her appointment. Dr. Bauer told them that Anita’s scans were clear. He said she could move on with the lumpectomy.

Kat was on the mend and wanted to see Eva. Ted left them alone to talk. Kat and Eva were honest with each other. Eva admitted that she gaslit Kat at times. Kat told her about the dream she had after the surgery. Eva thought that was a nightmare for her. Kat felt like the dream gave her insight into what her life was like when she came to town. She wasn’t ready to admit that they were sisters. Eva told her that she would like to believe that she would have helped her if the roles were reversed. Kat started crying and grabbed Eva’s hand. Later, Eva told Ted that she and Kat understood each other better now. Eva didn’t want Ted to focus on her so much. She said that Kat felt rejected. Eva told him to focus on Kat this time. Kat went back to her room. Leslie went to her room so Kat wanted her removed. Leslie refused to leave until she said what was on her mind. She thanked her for saving her daughter’s life. Leslie promised to refrain from calling her names. Kat warned her that she planned to collect the debt she owed her at some point.

Naomi had questions for Bill after she caught him thinking about Dani. He managed not to tell her that he was thinking about what happened in the elevator with Dani. They talked about Madison’s trial. He said he was playing golf with the presiding judge. Naomi warned him not to blackmail or threaten the judge. Tomas met with Chelsea and talked to her about proposing to Kat. She didn’t think it was a good idea to propose right now. Chelsea thought it was because he thought he almost lost her. Andre ran into Bill and Tomas at the gym. He warned Bill that Dani was his responsibility now. Tomas admitted that he was going to propose to Kat. He asked for advice.

The doctor let Ted and Nicole know that the staff was doing everything they could for Kat. While they were by her bedside, Kat had an out of body experience. She relived an alternate version of the past. In Kat’s dream, Nicole was furious when Ted told her Leslie was pregnant with his baby. Dani was still married to Bill. Kat wanted to know where she was. A pregnant Leslie showed up and told Shanice that Ted always wanted a girl. Kat found out that Nicole was pregnant with her and didn’t want the baby. Nicole went to Anita and cried about not wanting to tell Ted that she was pregnant since he chose to be with Leslie. Time went by and Nicole was raising Kat alone. Ted and Leslie were together raising Eva. Later on, Kat lost Platinum Deb to Eva. Nicole has become a disappointment to Anita.

In reality, everyone was waiting to find out about Kat. Tomas told Anita and Vernon that he couldn’t wait for his parents to meet Kat. Ted went back and forth between Eva and Kat. Eva was shocked to find out that Kat was unconscious. Martin felt bad about the way he treated Kat before the operation. In Kat’s fantasy, ChelseaKat was CheEva. Chelsea and Eva were working together. Tomas was dating Eva. People were insulting Kat. Eva said they would be better off if Kat was never born. Kat went to Ted and told him she knew how it felt to be Eva. She told Ted that she didn’t like or trust Eva, but she was okay with him loving them both. Kat said sharing him was better than losing him. Ted hugged her. Kat ended up waking up.

Everyone was worried about Eva and Kat’s surgeries. Shanice was being nice to Leslie so that made her more worried that her daughter was dying. She told Leslie that she would care about everyone. Once the crisis was over, things were going back to normal. Leslie told her that she’s a changed woman. After her conversation with Shanice, Leslie talked to Anita. Anita said she could join the family while they waited for news as long as she behaved. Leslie joined the others and vowed that it would be a new chapter for them. The doctor came out and said that the surgeries were successful. Kat and Eva were in recovery. Joey confided in Vanessa that he wanted to be there for Izaiah, but he knew he couldn’t. Vanessa called Deanna to let her know that she loved her no matter what happened. After her call, Vanessa checked in with Dani. Dani let her know that she and Bill agreed not to tell what happened in the elevator. Vanessa told her that the cheating scandal was avoided. They didn’t know that Andre was nearby and heard about someone cheating. Vanessa lied about someone cheating at the casino. She went to Izaiah to let him know that Joey sent his thoughts.

Nicole wanted to be by Kat’s side and told Ted that he could be with Eva with Leslie without feeling guilty. Eva slowly started to wake up. She was shocked to find out who saved her life. Kat’s recovery took a turn for the worst. She was on a ventilator. Kat would be on a ventilator until she could breathe on her own. Tomas was scared that she hadn’t woke up. Ted was sure there was nothing to worry about. Kat’s heartbeat elevated so the doctors rushed into her room. Her family was worried about her. Martin went to social media to announce that the money from the fundraiser would go towards helping the community recover from the tornado. He received a call and found out that he won the primary. He wasn’t happy because of what happened to Kat. Joey wanted Elon to tell Jacob to back off when it concerned connecting him to the Impaler. Darlene told Jacob she’s going to give Eva a chance so she won’t lose Izaiah again. Carlton ran into Naomi and talked about her rescheduling her appointment. She didn’t want anyone to hear their conversation.

Dani stormed into Bill’s office to talk about what happened between them. Bill couldn’t resist making comments about them being together. He implied that there was more than fear that made them to make love in the elevator. Dani wanted to be with Andre, and her children if something happened to her. She thought what they did was selfish and wasn’t done out of love. Bill felt like the tornado sped things up between them. Dani didn’t understand why he didn’t realize that what they did could destroy their marriages. He implied that he didn’t care if their marriages were destroyed by what they did. If the truth came out, he and Hayley could get through it. Dani didn’t feel that way. She insisted that she was finished with him forever. Bill wasn’t sure that was true. Dani warned him that she wouldn’t forgive him if he did anything to harm her marriage. She wouldn’t put on a show for the girls. Any peace they made would be over. She warned him that he would be dead to her. He reminded her that she said that she would always love him when he married Hayley. Bill finally agreed to keep quiet since he hurt her enough.

Leslie stayed by Eva’s side. She let Izaiah know that she refused to believe that Eva wouldn’t get better. Andre thought Kat was selfish for not wanting to help Eva by getting tested. He thought that she was getting revenge on Kat, but Ted didn’t want to believe it. Ted felt like he and Nicole raised her to be better than that. He thought his daughter needed time to think about it. Unfortunately they didn’t have much time for her to decide. Later Shanice found Ted and wanted to comfort him. He talked about the moments he didn’t and wouldn’t have with Eva. After his conversation with Shanice, he and Leslie found out that Eva would die without a transplant. The doctor said Eva wouldn’t make it to the next day. Ted apologized to Leslie for the way he acted when he found out she was pregnant with Eva. Kat didn’t want to deal with getting tested for Eva so she went to Orphey Gene’s with Chelsea. Chelsea agreed that it was her body, and her choice. Unfortunately she wouldn’t have anymore options if Eva died. Kat wouldn’t hesitate to help if it were for a family member that she loved, but she wasn’t ready to help Eva. She didn’t want to risk her life for Eva. Chelsea realized that Kat needed help with the decision so she took her to see Nicole. Kat explained to her mother that she wasn’t heartless. She also didn’t forget the things that Eva did. Nicole suggested that she take the test if she needed time to decide. Kat decided to go to the hospital to get tested. Chelsea warned everyone that Kat may not go through with the surgery even though she agreed to take the test.

Leslie was waiting for news about Eva when Izaiah informed her that he didn’t get tested. He didn’t get tested because he was the wrong blood type. Eva was taken into a hospital room unconscious and on a ventilator. Martin wanted to leave the hospital but ran into Ted and Kat. They learned that Eva needed a liver transplant. The doctor informed Ted that he wasn’t a viable donor. Leslie told Izaiah that she planned to give Eva a part of her liver. Martin and Smitty agreed to get tested. Everyone found out that they weren’t viable matches to help Eva. Kat was afraid that she might be expected to get tested. She confided in Smitty that she didn’t want anything to happen to Eva, but she didn’t forget that she hated her. Kat realized that Andre could be tested. She found out that Andre couldn’t be tested because of the medication he was taking for his injury. Leslie found out that she wasn’t a match for Eva. Since everyone was eliminated, Kat realized she was the next one to get tested. Martin told Kat that she had to get tested. Kat hesitated so Martin ripped into her. Kat wasn’t trying to be hateful. She was afraid of what would happen. Kat walked away from him.

Bill and Hayley had to stay at a hotel because of a downed tree blocking their home. They talked about how they wouldn’t cheat on each other. Bill and Hayley kept secrets from each other. Hayley talked to Bill about the Abbott family and how there were rich people in Genoa City. Bill jokingly called her a gold digger, and she got upset with him. Hayley said she would have fallen for him even if he weren’t rich. She used sex to make sure they were back on track. Vanessa was upset that Joey risked his life to save Abby. She thought he could have been killed by the chandelier. Vanessa refused to lose another man that she loved. She thought Joey was asleep so she went to see Dani. Dani admitted that she had sex with Bill during while they were trapped in the elevator. Vanessa wondered if it was inevitable because of the spark between them. She thought Dani and Bill should be on the same page about keeping their secret. It turned out that Joey wasn’t asleep. He had a meeting with Heather. Heather said that she was going to London…unless he wanted to share the business with her. He didn’t want to share the business and warned her that Vanessa was off limits.

Shanice went to check on Eva. She sent Ted to check on Martin. Shanice tried to comfort Leslie and gave her a change of clothes. Leslie thought things were bad since she was doing all of this. Shanice suggested that she not give up hope. When Shanice left, Leslie talked to Eva. Izaiah found Kat in the stairwell. He pleaded with her to get tested. Kat refused to get tested. Izaiah ripped into her for not getting tested. He thought she was doing that based on revenge. Kat said it wasn’t about revenge. She wanted there to be another option before she gave up her body parts. He asked how she would live with herself if Eva died. Ted met up with Martin and Smitty who found out they weren’t a match for Eva. Martin was upset about Kat not getting tested. Ted understood why Kat had to think about it. Martin said Eva didn’t have time. Izaiah showed up. Ted told Martin to go home. He wanted Izaiah to calm down before he went to see Eva.

Kial went to see Nicole. He comforted her about what happened during the tornado. Kial held her in bed and told her he would be there for him. Ted went to the stairwell and comforted Kat. She said she felt pressure from everyone. Kat felt like everyone saw her as a body that was used for parts. Ted said that wasn’t true. He said she was his heart. Ted said she was his and Nicole’s miracle child. Kat asked if he could forgive her if she didn’t get tested. He begged her to get tested which made Kat more upset. Kat admitted that she didn’t want to be a match for Eva. Ted asked her to do it for him. She ran off.

Everyone dealt with the fallout of the tornado. Leslie went to the hospital to find out what was going on with Eva. Ted showed up to catch Leslie when she collapsed. Kat showed up wanting to know what was going on. Leslie yelled at Kat for the way she treated Eva. She told Kat that Eva didn’t want anything from her. Leslie broke down and cried when she realized there was nothing she could do but wait. Kat sat with her and let her know that they would wait together. Later on, the doctor told everyone at the hospital that Eva would die if she didn’t get a transplant. Vanessa wanted to get in touch with her children. Deeana called Vanessa. They were about to make up until Deanna heard Joey in the background. Deanna thought Vanessa wasn’t concerned about them. Tyrell and Samantha were worried about their family. Nicole showed up and told them that Martin was in the hospital. Later on, the family found out that Martin was on the road to recovery. Madison let them know that if Martin suffered any symptoms that they needed to bring him back to the hospital right away.

The town dealt with the aftermath of the tornado. Eva was fighting for her life, but things weren’t looking good for her. A lot of people were missing. Joey pushed Abby out of the way so she didn’t get hit with the chandelier. Victor was back in Genoa City. Andre was worried about where Dani was. Dani was making love with Bill in the elevator. Anita spotted Kyle and Hayley coming out of the closet together. She sensed something going on with Hayley and Kyle. After Hayley walked away, Anita warned Kyle about her being a gold digger and a husband-stealer. Ted and Shanice took care of people at the country club. They took care of Martin, and he was on his way to the hospital. Ted and Shanice caught up with each other after the crisis. Nicole lashed out at Leslie until she noticed that she was worried about her missing daughter too. Jacob and Izaiah worked together to rescue Kat and Eva. Eva was taken to the hospital, and Leslie ripped into Kat. Leslie wanted to know why Kat was fine, but her daughter was fighting for her life.

Bill and Dani agreed to keep what they did a secret. Dani rushed to the ballroom and found Andre and the family. Bill reunited with Hayley. He told her that he was trapped in the stairwell. Hayley wasn’t sure that was true since he didn’t have any dust on him. Kyle approached Hayley to say goodbye. Bill noticed the chemistry between them. Dani wanted Andre to get checked out. Andre told her that he didn’t know it was possible to love someone the way he loved her. Dani felt guilty when he told her that. Jack thanked Joey for saving Abby. Smitty saw Jack and Joey talking and brought him over to Martin. Martin and Smitty warned Jack about Joey. Vernon wanted to put his differences with Leslie aside to comfort her. Martin wanted to go home, but Smitty insisted he go to the hospital. He said that he was fine, but he collapsed by Smitty’s feet.

The tornado left a path of destruction for everyone at the fundraiser. Kyle wanted to be alone with Hayley in a closet at the country club. They got stuck in the closet because of the tornado. Hayley thanked him for saving her from being trampled. They picked glass out of each other’s hair. While they were taking the glass out of their hair, they ended up kissing. Hayley felt guilty and told Kyle about her husband. Kyle wasn’t in a position to judge her situation. Andre was trapped under the rubble from the country club. He finally got free from it, but he had metal impaled into his leg. Bill and Dani were trapped in an elevator. He thought they should wait to be rescued. Dani didn’t want to sit and wait for help. She wanted to climb up through the hatch. Dani panicked because she wanted to get to their daughters. Bill attempted to calm her down. Dani hiked up her dress, and Bill became turned on by it. He made an inappropriate joke about her dress. Things became tense between them, and they gave in to temptation.

Leslie found shelter with Vernon and Anita. Anita got injured during the tornado, and Leslie tried to help her. Anita praised her for her help. While they were together, Leslie admitted that she was afraid something happened to Eva. She thought it was her bad karma. Vernon took charge during the tornado. Anastasia went into shock during the excitement. Ashley tried to help the people who were injured. During the excitement, it turned out that Martin and Victor were missing. While everyone was searching for them, Martin was discovered unconscious underneath a tree that crashed through the window. Jacob tried his best to get into the country club. Vernon got the power turned back on at the club. Kat and Eva were trapped together. Kat tried yelling to get attention. Eva admitted that she didn’t feel right. She threw up blood and passed out. Someone found Kat and Eva together. Things were finally calming down at the fundraiser. Abby was standing near a chandelier. The chandelier came crashing down.

The town was getting ready for Martin’s fundraiser. Jacob was determined to find the Impaler. Joey told Vanessa that his sister, Heather was back in his life in a shocking way. In Genoa City, Victor Newman (from Y&R) was getting on the chopper to go to the fundraiser. Victor got reacquainted with the Duprees. Things got started at the fundraiser when a storm brewed out of nowhere. Heather’s visit stirred up feelings in Joey. He talked to Vanessa about his father. Joey wasn’t sure if he was as bad a person as his father was. Vanessa assured him that he was nothing like his father. They didn’t know if Heather was evil or not. Vanessa didn’t know anything about Heather’s wrongdoings. Jacob arrived at the casino with a name. Joey steered the cop in the wrong direction. After dealing with Jacob, Joey admitted to Vanessa that he wasn’t completely honest with her. He explained that the Impaler made him an offer. Joey didn’t reveal that Heather was the Impaler. Elon was upset that Jacob went to see Joey. Jacob wanted to find the person responsible for Derek’s death.

Everyone showed up for Martin’s fundraiser. When Eva and Izaiah showed up, a reporter asked questions. Kat pulled Eva away and yelled at her for answering the reporter’s questions. Martin was nervous about Joey being at the fundraiser. Ted and Vernon told Joey to leave because having him there was bad for Martin. Vanessa refused to leave. Nicole negotiated a way for Vanessa and Joey to stay away from the cameras. Kyle and Martin caught up. While they were talking, they got high-wind alerts on their phones. Naomi and Ashley showed up at the fundraiser. When Naomi went to look for her father, Ashley ran into Anastasia who made smart remarks about Jan being a housekeeper and Derek’s death. Ashley walked away from her. Dani showed up and took her somewhere private. She tried to comfort Ashley. Dani called Naomi to help her.

Joey went up to Leslie thinking she was Heather. Leslie wore the same cloak as Heather. She went to cause trouble for the people at the fundraiser. Leslie asked Diane how she was able to live her life after faking her own death. Diane said she showed remorse. Kyle firted with Hayley. She took off her wedding rings. Hayley brought up one of his past relationships to let him know that she knew who he was. When Kyle left, Hayley put her rings back on. Martin gave his speech at the fundraiser. It was interrupted by news of a tornado watch. He told everyone to get away from the doors and windows. Dani got on an elevator with Bill. When the elevator stopped abruptly, Dani hugged Bill. The lights went out in the ballroom. It caused Hayley to end up in Kyle’s arms. The tornado tore through the ballroom. A chandelier swayed back an forth which left the guests cowering.

A person in a cloak  showed up in Joey’s office, It turned out to be Joey’s sister Heather. They caught up with each other. He asked her about her connection to the Impaler. Joey was shocked when she said she was the Impaler. He said everyone knew the Impaler was a man. Heather said it was part of her plan. Joey was finally convinced that she was the Impaler. When Joey mentioned their father, Heather got upset. He said the world was better off without him. While they were talking, it was revealed that Joey was abused and Heather went through emotional abuse. Joey wanted to know why she was there. Heather said her ring was no longer operating in the DMV, but she had similar situations in many territories. She said they could work together. Joey let her know that he wasn’t interested and told her to leave town. Vanessa asked Dani to talk to her. Dani was surprised at how the apartment looked. She let Vanessa know that having Joey in her life would be hard for her children since his world is dangerous. Vanessa asked her to leave. Later on, Joey came home and told her about Heather. He lied to Vanessa about meeting the Impaler.

Leslie overheard the plans for Martin’s fundraiser. She heard Megan (the event planner) say that people from Genoa City were going to be at the fundraiser. Leslie wanted an invitation. She went to see Eva who said she was invited to the fundraiser. Eva said she was bringing Izaiah. Leslie tried to convince Eva to take her by saying she would give money to Martin. Eva said she would get her in if she could name one of Martin’s platforms that she supported. When Leslie couldn’t name one, she ended up leaving. Jacob and Izaiah met at Uptown. Izaiah wanted Jacob to find peace even thought he knew it wouldn’t be easy. While they were talking, they talked about Darlene’s feelings towards Eva. Izaiah said Eva was the best thing that came into his life. Jacob told him to put his happiness first.

Vernon got off the phone with Victor Newman (from Y&R ) and told Anita that he would do the keynote speech at Martin’s fundraiser. They talked about Victor taking a chance on him during his first campaign. Martin went over the plans for his fundraiser with his assistant, Shonda. They talked about Kyle Abbott and Devon Winters (from Y&R) attending the fundraiser. Martin said that Smitty warned him not to seat Victor next to Jack Abbott (from Y&R). Smitty couldn’t help him because his story about the plasma ring turned into a five-part series. Later Martin went to see his grandparents. They talked about the fundraiser. Martin appreciated Victor helping with the fundraiser. They also talked about his opponent dragging out what happened to him on the country road three years ago. Grayson went to see Ashley to repair their relationship. She was upset with him, but she gave him five minutes to talk. Naomi arrived at Ashley’s place so Grayson left. She thought Ashley gave Grayson a hard time about getting back together because she didn’t give Derek another chance. She advised Ashley not to punish herself.

Jacob talked to Smitty about uncovering The Impaler’s identity. He thought Smitty could reveal his identity by exposing him in his articles. Smitty thought they should get the public to help them. Vanessa was at the casino and overheard Joey and Randy talking about meeting the Impaler. She couldn’t believe that Joey didn’t tell her about the Impaler. Vanessa wanted to go to the meeting. Joey was afraid for her safety so he wanted her to go to the condo. With hesitation, Vanessa allowed Randy to take her to the condo. She wanted Randy to go back to the casino to watch out for Joey. When Randy returned to the casino there was a knock on the door. Joey was shocked to find out who was at the door.

The episode is based on Hayley’s plan to steal Bill from Dani. Hayley talked to Randy about their plan working and that she would be rid of Bill soon. Naomi and Chelsea talked about their parents’ marriage while they were eating dinner. Bill thought about Dani and how he didn’t notice the way Mike was acting around her. Andre arrived home from his trip. He comforted Dani while she beat herself up about the past. During the flashback scenes, Hayley arrived in town. Hayley’s original target was Joey. Randy knew that Joey wouldn’t fall for it so he thought she should go after Bill. He thought he was the perfect target. Randy thought Hayley should use Naomi to work her way into his life. There was a flashback of Hayley meeting Naomi for the first time. Dani confided in Andre and told him that she wanted to ask Bill to forget his marriage to Hayley and come back to her. She thought that she needed more pain in her life. Dani was the one who introduced Bill and Hayley by having him pick her as his assistant. Hayley flirted with Bill by letting him see her wardrobe. He liked what he saw. They became close after that moment. Bill and Hayley gave in and had their first kiss at the office. In the present, Hayley told Randy that the hardest part was pretending to be guilty.

Chelsea and Dani walked in on Bill and Hayley in a compromising position. Dani yelled at Hayley. She got the shock of her life when Bill told her that he was in love with Hayley. Chelsea thought she saw her mother’s soul leave her body that night. Naomi shifted gears and talked about Jacob. She was glad that Jacob was home safe again. Naomi would never take her for granted. Bill kept thinking about Dani begging him to leave Hayley and go back to her. His thoughts were interrupted when Hayley brought him food to eat. They were about to leave the office, and Bill wasn’t being as affectionate as he usually is with Hayley. Hayley wasn’t happy about that and gave him a cold look. She was ready to kill him immediately. Dani and Andre snuggled in the bedroom. She forgave herself for her moments of weakness. Dani said that Hayley’s betrayal was rough because she thought of her as family.

Jacob was going to be acknowledged for his role in bringing down some of the plasma ring. He didn’t feel worthy of celebrating. Elon and Marcel talked to him about how important his job was and that losing people was part of it. Naomi confided in Dani and told her that she didn’t think she could handle Jacob doing more undercover assignments. She didn’t sign up for it. Naomi wanted a man who had a desk job without the risks. Darlene wanted to throw a party for Jacob. She let Izaiah know that Eva wasn’t welcomed at the party. He said that he wouldn’t be at the party either. Darlene thought Eva wasn’t going to be a permanent fixture in his life. Izaiah warned her that if he had to choose between her and Eva, she would lose. After their conversation, Darlene apologized to Eva for the way she treated her. During the ceremony, Jacob thought about what happened at the warehouse. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed Darlene’s cake. Leslie arrived. Leslie and Darlene got into an argument. Jacob slipped out of the party and went to Uptown. He ran into Kat. Jacob wondered how many drinks he would need to drown out the sound of the gunshots that killed his best friend.

While Bill and Hayley waited for their table at the club, he tried to give her a loving squeeze. Hayley freaked out by his touch. His hand was near the area she kept the vial. Hayley claimed she didn’t want the staff to see him copping a feel. He felt guilty because of his conversation with Dani. Dani reached out to Bill to find out why he didn’t go to the ceremony to support Naomi and Jacob. Hayley admitted to Bill that she intercepted the message and declined to go on their behalf. Bill wasn’t happy about what she did. He asked her not to do anything like that on his behalf again. Bill walked away from her. While Bill was gone, Hayley slipped more poison in his coffee cup.
