I don’t know, but he’s obviously in cahoots with this fake Abigail. I tried to contact him and confront him with all of this, and he’s disappeared. – Abigail DiMera? You know, I don’t think we’ve actually met. No, but I did hear about her return.

Don’t turn yourself in, Brady. You made me feel innocent, even though when I didn’t believe that I was, even though now we know that you knew I was. And instead of coming forward, what did you do? You hung me out to dry. So my question is, why did you do that to– no, I have a better question. How could you do that to Sarah?

All she’s never done my whole life is disappoint me. You know, when she abandoned me, I was– you know, I was just a little boy. But even then, some part of me somehow understood that it was the best thing that ever happened to me. But after that, when you’re all better, by God, we will make my mum pay for what she’s done. [tense music]

Brady, that was the last thing I wanted for you or for Sarah.

Then why– why did you drink and drive and hit Sarah and then leave her on the ground not knowing whether she was dead or alive? Hey, why didn’t you speak up when I was arrested? Why did you let me take the fall? My last question is, what did I do to deserve this, Fiona?

Nothing. You didn’t deserve this. Of course, you didn’t. And now, for what it’s worth, and I know it’s not much, you at least deserve to understand.

I see, so you thought, better– better ruin Brady’s life rather than mine, right? Is that the thinking?

No, it wasn’t premeditated. You were passed out on the seat next to me. And then I just– [panting] –I waited for some help to come for Sarah before I left her there. And then– then my foot went down on the pedal, and then we were gone. My mind was racing and my world was about to end. And there you were, blissfully ignorant!

And then the idea started formulating in my mind before I was even cognizant of it. I’d done some research on– on Xander’s Salem family after I came to town, and I knew that Maggie had been involved in an accident and framed it in a similar manner.

Wow, that’s– that’s– that’s how you got the brilliant idea. Wow.

That’s how I got the terrible idea– the cruel and heartless idea to drive you home to the parking garage and put you in the driver’s seat.

You didn’t just put me in a driver’s seat. You put me in– you put me in hell. You put me in a guilt-ridden hell right up until I found out the truth. And now it’s your turn to suffer. It’s your turn to be in hell.

Well, I, kind of, was going through his dad’s room looking for evidence to use against him in the hit-and-run, and Tate caught me. And to be honest, I broke into Brady’s briefcase.

Yeah. And to top it all off, my– ex-BFF Sophia is making a move on him and I don’t know. Pretty sure Tate is, like, into her too, so it kind of feels all hopeless, you know?

Because apparently she lives with Holly’s family and was worried that they would all find out she had a drink at the bistro, that I would tell them. She even threatened me.

She said it was important I keep my mouth shut because her family thought she was sober. Now I know it was more than that. She also didn’t want them to know that she mowed down Sarah when she was probably smashed out of her mind.

Brady, I prayed that no one would identify your car. I prayed that you wouldn’t be implicated.

OK– I’m– OK, starting to understand here. You setting me up was your fail safe so the cops wouldn’t find you. But what about what I would think? If the cops didn’t track us down, I would just go on believing that I was guilty of this for the rest of my life.

Look, when Sarah came through her surgery and we all thought she was going to be all right, I fully intended to set the record straight. But then when we realized she was paralyzed and knowing that it was all my fault, I just couldn’t.

So on the way to set earlier, there was a little extra time, so I went and I stopped by Sweet Bits. And then on my way back, I bent down to tie my shoe, and then all of a sudden, my back, it just went out.

Just like that, huh?

Yeah. Crazy, right? I mean, I’ve never had any issues with my back before. And you know how much of a yogi I am. So it was just really bad timing. And then Abe and Kate, they ended up having to cancel my love scenes with Alex for today. No choice.

I know. I heard.

Yeah, we didn’t even get a chance to rehearse them. [dramatic music]

Mm, I’m feeling a little doped up, actually. The muscle relaxers that Kayla gave me are working. My back is feeling a little bit better. But…[sighs] I’m really, really sorry, you guys.

But you did leave her there!

[sobs]

You fled the scene! And pinned it on an innocent man. I mean– and then you made yourself completely indispensable to us, never once letting on that– that you were responsible for all Sarah’s suffering! I mean, my God, I– I almost broke Brady’s legs with a baseball bat. I was gonna murder him!

And I stopped you.

Yeah, you stopped it. But you’re still too much of a coward to tell me the truth.

OK, so as we all know, Hattie was, like, a total prima donna who complained endlessly and was a real pain in the tush.

Oh.

So we had to kill her off. But she stormed off the set in true diva fashion before we taped her very dramatic death scene but not before cursing out production and taking a bunch of little sandwiches with her from the lunch buffet.

[laughing] Oh, no!

Yeah, “oh, no,” is right. And now yours truly has to come up with a solution. I mean, we were prepared for this possibility. But a bunch of people chitchatting about the death of a very important character off camera, it’s just so undramatic, you know?

Mm.

Especially when we have… alternatives.

Right. But just because you don’t remember seeing Brady driving doesn’t mean he wasn’t. And how on earth could I have anything to do with your accident? [chuckles] And where on earth would you even get such an idea?

From Eric Brady. He was just here. He told me that he spoke to the waiter that served Brady that night and that you– you were with him. You were together at the bar. [dramatic music]

Fiona. OK. OK, I guess you heard about me and her too.

I did. And I can understand why you’d want to keep that under wraps.

Look, when I met her, I didn’t know who the hell she was. She was in a bad place. I was in a bad place. I just–I just wanted someone to talk to at the time.

Brady, I don’t care about that. What I do care about is the night of Sarah’s accident. When you and Fiona were together, was she drinking too?

So when you spoke to Fiona, she swore that she was completely sober the night of the accident?

Yeah, she also said she couldn’t talk you out of driving and took a cab home.

Then that must have been what happened.

But, Brady, you remember getting home.

No. No, you know that I don’t.

So I’m guessing that you would remember whether she was drinking or not.

Come on, is it that hard to believe that two people were hanging out at a bar and one was drinking and one wasn’t?

Yes, it is, Brady, especially when those two people are recovering alcoholics. Damn it, Brady, would you just tell me the truth?

OK. Now it’s beginning to make some sense, at least. Your friend is correct. I did tell him I was with Brady that night.

Well, there’s nothing more to tell. Doesn’t mean I had anything to do with your accident.

Well, because I didn’t want Xander to know that I’d been with Brady. Surely, you can understand that, given the bad blood between them.

And when I saw how drunk he was, I did everything I could to convince him not to drive, but he insisted. My God, when I found out what he had done to you, that he was responsible for running you over and leaving you there–

And I just can’t figure out why. Is it because you want to see Brady punished?

No. No, it’s not that. I–[sighs] I had no choice.

Xander has been so consumed with anger, and he is obsessed with getting revenge against Brady. And– Fiona… [whispering] He was going to kill Brady and make it look like a suicide.

Really sucks that Uncle Eric and Nicole lied to her all these years about what really happened.

Well, Nicole was trying to protect her, and we all just went along with it.

And I know how much that hurt Holly, but that still doesn’t excuse what she tried to do to my dad.

[sighs] OK. Um, well… it all started when I caught Holly in my father’s room digging through his stuff.

Tell “The Spectator” that she came forward and admitted that she was wrong about naming Brady as the hit-and-run driver. And then we tell the world that the DA is hell-bent on prosecuting Brady for something that he didn’t do.

Oh, hold on. Better yet, we could go to EJ’s boss. I mean, if there’s one thing I know about Paulina Price, it’s that she doesn’t need another scandal. And then we make it clear that EJ, my brother, has gone rogue. I mean, he’s burying the fact that his own eyewitness has taken back her statement.

Yeah, with another lie. She said she went after Brady knowing he was drunk, persuaded him to take a taxi.

Well, that’s what I was hoping to discuss with you. I was hoping that you might be able to give me a little bit more.. details about the night of the accident.

And why would I know anything about that?

Well, because you were with Brady that night, weren’t you? [suspenseful jazz music]

Yep. [Abigail laughs] No. I, uh… no, I like listening to you talk about art. Or anything that you’re passionate about. And when you get excited, your eyes light up, and you stumble over your words and it’s really cute.

[chuckles] Well, I unfortunately, um… don’t recall all of my art history expertise, but… I do think the colors are pretty.

[laughs] Well, good. Well, that’s a start. [Abigail laughs] [clears throat] I’m just happy to be here with you.

[takes deep breath] Well, every Sunday we used to take the kids to a different park in the city. We called it la promenade… dimanche.

Yep, that’s it. Uh… Anyway, there was this park of ours that was our favorite. It had this artificial waterfall and grotto. And you had this bright idea to recreate the TLC video “Waterfall.”

Oh, yeah, I definitely remember that song.

Yeah, it was your favorite. [Abigail laughs] Thomas was all about it. Charlotte was a little too small, so you insisted that this old man be the third member.

Oh, I can see it. I can see you as the stand-in for Left Eye.

The pretty one. %. [Abigail laughs]

[laughs] Well, excusez moi.

Yeah. Um–[clears throat] Anyway, and I was being the– the dutiful dad. And I, um, you know, I did the whole dance routine. [Abigail laughs] And, uh, you know, I think I was holding my own. At least, that’s what everybody else would have said.

Mm.

Until it got to the end of the song and I lost my footing.

Oh, no.

Yeah, and I learned the meaning of the lyrics. I chased a waterfall and I paid the price. [Abigail laughs] I fell hard, hard, and I was drenched and freezing.

That was good. [Abigail laughs] Yeah, and, um… [inhales deeply] Uh, anyway, it was– it was just a really wonderful moment. And the kids couldn’t stop laughing. And I don’t know if I’ve ever heard you laugh that hard. [soft upbeat music]

You’re, um– you’re a really good husband, Chad. And a good father too.

That’s because I had you by my side. [mysterious music] [Abigail sighs softly]

Because if Abigail regains her memory in Salem, she’ll have no choice but to include the kids, tell them that their mother’s alive.

Sounds like one big, happy family reunion to me.

My sister would rather not have traumatizing two children on her conscience.

[laughs] Right. Saint Abigail, right? Oh, man. Sounds like she’s a little too into her character.

My sister’s a good person, OK? She would never be involved in anything like this if you weren’t threatening to kill our mother. She’s hated every second of deceiving Chad, let alone Abigail’s entire family.

Well… getting to meet Abigail again… was unique. In the first place, she looks nothing, absolutely nothing like the Abigail that we knew. And when I looked at her, she had the eyes of a stranger. And she was very cold to me, Maggie.

Well, maybe– maybe she was just feeling awkward being back. You know, not remembering her life here, not recognizing anyone. But didn’t you say that she remembered her wedding vows?

Well, so she says. So of course, Chad is hoping she’ll remember more.

In Paris.

Yeah, God willing. Please, tell me how Sarah’s doing.

Ah. Oh, Julie, she’s putting on a brave face for sure. But she’s struggling to adapt. And I’m– I’m trying my best to help however I can.

Darling, you of all people in the world are the one to help her. You walked around on crutches for years, and you walked again. Not to mention being paralyzed more recently and getting healed.

Yeah, well, I was lucky to have the surgery that gave me the ability to walk. But I don’t know. As it stands right now, I– I don’t think my daughter will get that miracle. [tense music]

EJ, don’t get me wrong. I absolutely want Brady to pay for what he did to me, but I can’t lie and say something is true when it’s not.

Mm. Except that’s exactly what’s happening here, isn’t it?

It means that either you were lying when you said you remembered seeing Brady behind the wheel, or you’re lying now. So which is it?

Well, as you likely know, my brother is in a world of trouble and I’ve just kind of been clinging to the hope that there’s more to the story about what happened that night.

[chuckles] Like what?

I don’t know. That’s why I’m here. To find out more about my brother’s actions that night. And lucky enough, I ran into you. So I was hoping that it might be possible if you could, you know, kind of fill in the blanks for me. [tense jazzy music]

Well, I don’t know what I can tell you that you don’t already know.

Well, why don’t we just start from the beginning? [suspenseful jazzy music]

All right. Well, let’s see. I spent most of the day with my son and his wife. They just got married, and we were still celebrating. And then I got a text from Brady asking me to join him here.

And by this point, you two have been together for a while.

Right. Actually, I was planning on ending things with him that night.

Why is that?

Well, I was in a better place with my son and his family. I didn’t know Brady from Adam when I first met him, but eventually I found out who he was and, more importantly, about his contentious relationship with my son.

Right. So you came here, and–

And Brady was already drunk, actually having a very heated discussion with the waiter, which I managed to de-escalate with a very generous tip.

I heard Brady caused quite a scene. [Fiona sighs] So what happened after that?

Well, he calmed down, he had a couple more drinks, we talked, he left. And, well, you know what happened after that.

No, actually, I don’t.

Oh, isn’t it obvious? He got in his car and he hit Sarah. She ID’d him to the police.

That she did. See, I still have questions.

[chuckles] Such as?

Well, earlier, you implied that Brady, he left here alone. But the waiter, he told me that the two of you left here together.

How dare you accuse my wife of lying? She’s the most honest person I know.

Mm, except when it comes to the paternity of her children.

You smug son of a–

No, baby, it’s fine. It’s fine. [Xander clears throat] EJ…

Mm-hmm?

You’re right. I have been dishonest in the past, and it’s obviously not something I am proud of, which is why I can’t let my initial statement about Brady stand. I can’t, in all good conscience, let him go down for something that I’m no longer sure he did.

Well, that’s too bad, because you and your good conscience have already given a sworn statement, Brady has been arrested and charged, and a conviction has been guaranteed to the mayor. And I will not have egg on my face because you suddenly think your very definite memory is a false one.

So in other words, you’ll gladly convict an innocent man just to protect your fragile little ego. All hail the incorruptible justice system.

Oh, give it up, Xander. We all know that Brady is guilty. And I promise you this. If Sarah retracts her statement, I will have her arrested and charged with perjury. [tense music]

You know, it’s just so hard to see Sarah suffer the way that I did. Although she’s being very brave and stoic, I can see the pain in her eyes, Julie. I mean, I just hope that someday she’ll be able to see that her life is– it can be as rewarding as it was before.

Oh, I’m sure she will with you at her side and her little Victoria.

And not to mention Xander.

Wish that I could forget him.

Julie!

I’m sorry. Oh, not very gracious of me. I know you’re fond of him, Maggie.

He’s my son-in-law. And he’s the love of my daughter’s life. But I have to admit that he’s been obsessing over getting revenge on Brady.

Yeah, But I think he’s– he’s let that go. And hopefully, he’s refocused his efforts on Sarah’s recovery. Especially now that Brady is facing justice.

What a turn of events that was.

I mean, Brady was off the hook. And then suddenly, Sarah remembers he’s the one driving the car that hit her. I mean… [sighs] I guess it’s fortuitous. I suppose.

What are you saying? [tense music] Are you saying that Sarah lied?

It was mostly perfect here. But then I started to work a lot of hours, and I started to cause some problems.

I was feeling neglected?

Yes,

Mm.

Rightfully so. Then someone from your past showed up, this guy named Austin. He showed up on our doorstep. He was going through his own marital problems.

Oh. Oh, he and I didn’t–

No, no, no, no. He wanted to, but you stopped it.

Oh, good for me.

Yes, good for you. You behaved admirably.

Oh, I am relieved.

Me too. [Abigail laughs and sighs]

[sighs] But you know, it was, um… [soft upbeat jazzy music] We had some rough times. And, uh… we went through a lot of obstacles. But…

I never said she was a saint. But she’s never done anything like this before. And neither have I.

Yeah. And lucky for me, the two of you will do just about anything to save your sweet mama, whom I will deliver to you safe and sound as long as your sister comes through.

She will. It won’t be long now before she’s Mrs. Chad DiMera.

Yeah, uh… here’s the thing about that. Mrs. Chad DiMera, that don’t work for me. [tense music] The widow DiMera. That’s more like it.

WidowDiMera? [tense music] What are you talking about? I thought you just wanted Chad’s fortune. I thought my sister was going to drain his accounts.

That could get messy. It’s easier if he dies. That way, she inherits and I collect. Easy-peasy.

I’m just chilling here in supermax. It can’t get traced back to me.

What good is Chad’s fortune to you in here?

My lawyer’s been hard at work. With any luck, I should be out of here in plenty of time to collect my DiMera windfall.

How is that possible? I mean, you out of here? I mean, you’re a convicted murderer.

Ah, here’s the thing. With Abigail’s resurrection, there ain’t no murder victim. Hence, no murder conviction. [laughs] I mean, you don’t need to be a doctor ora lawyer to figure that one out.

What about your– your drug ring? I mean, the other stuff?

My lawyer has found enough procedural infractions that they’ll throw the whole case out. Suffice to say, I will soon be a free man.

You remember our life together?

Um, it’s–um, yeah. I don’t remember specific events, but I’m– [sighs] It’s like I can– I’m not remembering memories. I’m remembering feelings. Like, I know that I was here before. I remember being here. I remember the–the pitter-patter of the kids’ feet on the floor and the window. Like, the light, how the light came in the window. I–I feel like–for the first time, I feel like me. I feel like I’m Abigail Johanna Deveraux DiMera. I–I–[laughs] I can feel it in my body! [both laugh] Oh! [laughs] [mysterious music] And Chad, Chad, that’s not all I remember. I–

Now, all I am saying is if I was hit by a car, paralyzed, and the driver drove away, I would be highly motivated to make sure he paid for what he did.

Well, I don’t think that Sarah would be dishonest to make that happen. And in fact, she confided to me that Xander asked her to lie about something and then she just flat-out refused.

Really?

Yeah.

Well, I’m sure justice is being served, but… I can’t rejoice over it because Brady’s a decent guy. And even if he is addicted to alcohol, that’s not a moral flaw. It’s just an illness, as you know very well.

Yeah, I do. I know that Brady is a good person, and I know he has a good heart. He just made a terrible decision. And as much as I don’t at all rejoice, as you put it, he’s being punished for that decision, a price that he has to pay.

And wants to pay, I hear?

Yes, he does. And you know, once he is incarcerated, I hope that Xander and Sarah can move forward with their lives and heal. [tense music]

Like hell I can’t. She made a sworn statement to the police, and now she’s saying that statement is false.

EJ, Xander just told you that I’ve been on pain meds. My memory is a little mixed up lately.

Mm-hmm, and next week, you’ll say you came off the pain meds a little too early, and you’ll want to retract the retraction, and so on and so forth.

I won’t do that. I made a mistake. Please, you have to release Brady. [soft suspenseful music]

Fine. You made a mistake. A mistake that is going to cost you ten years behind bars.

Ten years? What are you talking about?

There’s a plea deal on the table. Brady has agreed to ten years in prison. And trust me, as DA, I will see to it that someone serves that sentence. If it’s not Brady, it’s going to be Sarah.

You think I’m just going to let you bully us into silence?

Try me. I have Sarah’s original statement, and I fully intend to use it to put Brady in prison. If you two want to stop me, go for it. I’ll just have Sarah take his place. I’ll leave the rest up to you.

I’m sorry, I guess I should have clarified. Brady did leave on his own initially, but then I went after him. You see, I was afraid he might be too drunk to drive. So I found him outside and I offered to call him a cab.

But he refused.

[sighs] Well, he insisted he was fine. I could see that he wasn’t, but he wouldn’t listen. So I let him go. If I’d known what was going to happen, Eric, I would have done everything humanly possible to stop him from driving. And I deeply regret that I didn’t. [suspenseful jazzy music]

How did you get home that night?

After Brady left, I took a cab back to my hotel. And then later, Xander called me to tell me about Sarah. [Fiona sighs] I can still hear the fear in his voice. It was just awful. And in fact-[sighs] I’d rather not keep reliving this, so if there’s nothing else–

Just one more thing. Were you drinking that night?

[scoffs] Was Idrinking that night?

That was the question, yes.

Well, the answer is no. I don’t drink, ever. I’m a recovering alcoholic.

As is Brady.

[sighs] Touché. But I assure you I haven’t had a drink in years.

So you didn’t partake with Brady? You just watched him drink?

[sighs] Like I said, we talked while he drank. And before you even think about it, Maggie and I stuck to sparkling cider for my son’s wedding. Feel free to ask around if you don’t believe me.

No, no, no, I don’t think that’ll be necessary.

Good. Because I must say this is starting to feel like the third degree.

Well, I’m just a curious person who’s looking out for his brother.

As for me, I shall take comfort in the fact that Sarah got her memory back, so hopefully, Abigail can get her memory back, too, especially now that they’re in Paris together.

I really think he was hoping that Justin was going to perform some kind of miracle if the thing went to trial. But honestly, brother, I don’t– I don’t want a slap on the wrist for this. I thought it was pretty self-explanatory.

Xander, perhaps I didn’t make myself clear the last time we spoke. The only way Sarah is going to get out of that wheelchair is if you free Brady. At which time, I will hand over Rolf’s miracle serum, and then voila, Sarah will be running the K by spring.

It’s a very intriguing proposal, Kristen. I suppose my only question is, why should I believe a word you say? [tense music]

Huh, you visited Gabi in her hospital room last night. Why?

Oh, just to inform her that her overbearing brother, Rafe Hernandez, warned me to stay away from her. I just wanted to make her aware of our little conversation, given that we all have to coexist in the same happy household. Well, at least until your divorce goes through.

Well, if I know Gabi well, and I think that I do, she wants nothing to do with you now that our marriage is over and she can’t use you anymore for revenge sex. But I would heed Rafe’s advice and stay the hell away from her.

You know, Gabi mentioned that it was you who filed for divorce.

So?

Well, if the marriage is truly over, why do I have to stay away from her? Why do you care?

It just feels so wrong sitting here with Daniel’s heart beating in my chest. I wouldn’t be here if he hadn’t have died. I guess it’s like I squandered the gift, you know.

Maybe. I just don’t– I don’t feel this guilt going away anytime soon.

I don’t know what I would have done if you didn’t just come in right now. Everyone’s out, including the staff, because I told my mom that I could be fine on my own with Victoria, and clearly, I am not.

But you are fine, Sarah. Now, you listen to me. A tired and cranky toddler will cry and shriek and whatever else. It’s what they do. Victoria will probably throw that toy out just as many times as you’re willing to go and fetch it and give it back to her. She’s at that testing age.

Oh, darling, you’re not failing anything. Oh, my god. If I had even a fraction of your courage, of your pluck– how you’ve carried yourself through this painful ordeal is– mostly, it’s just remarkable. Truly. I am so sorry.

Brady and I, what a tragic mistake that was.

Look, I know that Dr. Rolf is rather eccentric, ethically dubious at times, but the man is a genius. And he already used a related drug on Kayla and Kate and Marlena and Bo. And he kept my brother Stefan alive for years without a heart. So, for God’s sake, Xander–

Fine. If it is as you say it is, take me to the man’s lab. Show me the proof.

Take you to the– so what, you can get your thugs and bust in, appropriate the drug without giving yours truly what I deserve? I don’t think so, Xander. But here’s what I will do for you. I will provide you with clinical data. Sarah can look it over and make her own decision, but you have to make sure that the charges against Brady go poof and disappear.

How the hell am I supposed to do that?

How do you think, Xander? Brady was free and clear until your wife made her bogus statement that he was the one behind the wheel.

Well, Jada, when Jada came to arrest Brady, Xander was there in his room.

So Xander broke in somehow?

He must have. But, Dad, I’m telling you, Brady was adamant that he hadn’t been drinking before Tate tucked him to bed.

OK, so what are you thinking?

I’m thinking he must have been drugged.

Drugged? Damn.

Dad, but listen, the whole point of the story is that it just seems off somehow.

OK, let’s keep all that in mind. Yesterday, I saw Sarah in the park talking to her mother-in-law, Fiona.

And?

I overheard them talking about some kind of secret they were keeping. And since I know Fiona and Brady were in a relationship–

Wait a minute. I had no idea.

Yeah, it was brief, apparently. And it’s been over for a while now. But is it possible that somehow–

That somehow what?

Somehow, Fiona is connected to the accident.

Well, yeah, I suppose it could be, I mean, if they were in a relationship at that time.

And they were.

So you’re thinking it’s possible that Xander’s mom was with Brady that night, and that’s the secret that she and Sarah are keeping?

That’s exactly what I’m thinking.

Well, Brady and I worked out a little plea deal– years. Look, I know. I know you wanted more. So did I, but you never know what a jury might do. This, at least, guarantees Brady will be where he belongs, locked up in prison.

I wouldn’t be too sure about that. [tense music]

I was just about to tell Brady how trying it’s been to witness my daughter-in-law’s suffering as a result of his gross negligence. I’m glad he’s going to pay. Goodbye, Brady.

I don’t believe the nerve of that woman. I mean, what is her business coming in here being all high and mighty and saying those horrible things to you?

Kristen, you shouldn’t be here, either.

Ah, but I bring glad tidings, Mr. Black. You are getting out of here, and soon. [chuckles] [jazzy music]

Like I said, I don’t normally stick my nose in my customers’ business, but this guy, he was in here getting hammered one night, acting like a total jackass, looking for a fight.

Look, it’s probably worth mentioning that Sarah has been taking a cocktail of pain medications and muscle relaxants, et cetera, so her thinking has, no doubt, become a little bit muddled.

Well, what I’m saying is, I– I would like to recant my statement. [tense music]
