Interview with actors Eoin Macken, Zyra Gorecki, Nicholas Gonzalez, Jon Seda, ChikĂ© Okonkwo, Lily Santiago, Josh McKenzie, Rohan Mirchandaney, Jack Martin and Veronica St. Clair, and creator/EP David Appelbaum of “La Brea” on NBC by Suzanne 12/18/23

It was really wonderful to speak with these actors once again, even though it may be the last time. I’m sad that the show is ending. They really packed a lot into each episode, though.

I do have to apologize a bit because I was having a very hectic week, so I didn’t prepare as well as I usually do, and this made nervous, so I was a little off my game. The cast and showrunner were excellent at answering some of my off-the-wall questions and comments, anyway.

Fellow journalist and friend Sammi Turano  of TV Grapevine was in two of the roundtables and then had to leave. I hope you enjoy the interviews, and the show, which premieres tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9th on NBC!

Here’s a scene that we mentioned in two of the interviews, just FYI…

Days Nitpicks and Flubs For The Week Of January 1, 2024

Nitpicks & Flubs

by Michele & Cheryl

Alex and Theresa from Days

Monday

-Alex and Theresa could be heard kissing while Harris was shown.

-The lump on Paulina’s neck wasn’t showing. Chanel made a big deal about seeing the lump, but it wasn’t visible.

-Why didn’t Brady tell Nicole right away what happened to Holly? Nicole could have gotten to Holly sooner.

-Tripp and the nurses weren’t wearing masks while they were helping Holly. They wore gloves, but they weren’t wearing masks.

Tuesday

-How did EJ know Theresa was a drug addict? He might have found out through Sami but it’s not likely she would have told him something like that.

-Why would Brady take the blame for the drugs at the risk of getting arrested? He would never get Rachel back if he was in prison.

-Ava could be heard talking to Tripp while Marlena was shown.

Wednesday

-Why did Marlena feel Eric needed to know about Holly? Eric isn’t linked to Holly, so he didn’t need to know what happened to her.

-How did Everett know Holly was in a coma?

-Why didn’t EJ tell Chad about Holly? Why did he have to find out through Everett?

Thursday

-What were the odds EJ had Chanel’s number? EJ and Chanel never talk to each other so it’s not likely she would have given him her phone number.

-Why was EJ determined to make Tate pay for Holly overdosing? EJ acted as if he had a personal ax to grind with Tate.

Friday

-When did Sarah decide she didn’t trust Konstantin? She said recently that she trusted him and now she doesn’t.

-Wendy could be heard talking to Tripp while Xander and Sarah were shown.

Tate from Days

Nicole wasted no time hoping in bed with EJ. What happened to her depression over losing her baby? She was upset at the idea of having another baby, but she was okay with doing what it takes to make a baby. Maybe she wasn’t as upset about the loss of her baby as she claims. We understand she wants to take her mind off her troubles, but it seems like she should have waited before having sex.

Why was Tate being accused of drugging Holly? The police treated him as if he put the drugs down Holly’s throat. They must have forgotten about the other people who overdosed on drugs. Was Tate suddenly responsible for the other people overdosing? Maybe we missed something, but we didn’t see why Tate was arrested for Holly overdosing.

Tate got himself in trouble when he tried to protect Holly after she overdosed. He should have told the police the truth about the drugs instead of trying to cover it up. If he did the right thing, he wouldn’t have to worry about the trouble he was in. It didn’t make sense for him to protect her at the risk of getting into trouble himself. We know he likes her, but going to prison wouldn’t be worth it.

The writers tried to rewrite Lucas and Will’s story by having Brady take credit for Tate giving Holly the drugs. We know Brady wanted to protect Tate, but it didn’t make sense for him to claim credit for the drugs since Tate was innocent. Tate might have had a better shot of getting off than Brady would have. Clearly, Brady didn’t have faith that Tate would get off the hook for what happened.

Alex had nerve telling Theresa that Justin wasn’t a good enough lawyer for Tate’s case. He didn’t have the right to make that call just because his financial status changed. Now that he thinks he’s Victor’s son he thinks Justin isn’t a good enough lawyer. We can’t wait to see the look on Alex’s face when he finds out the truth about Victor. He needs to be knocked off his high horse.

Why was EJ so determined to make Tate pay for what happened to Holly? EJ doesn’t have any proof that Tate gave her drugs, yet he is treating him as if he put the drugs down her throat. Nicole wasn’t determined to make Tate pay and Holly is her daughter. If anyone wanted Tate to pay, it would be Nicole. EJ is going overboard trying to play the hero for Nicole. His efforts are in vain because she still wants to be with Eric.

Opinion Article

Sloan from Days

Eric and Sloan’s baby was kidnapped
Sloan left Jude unattended to look for her wallet at Sweet Bits. We could focus on that stupidity alone. What type of parent would leave a child unattended to look for anything? She could have taken the baby inside with her to look for the wallet. We’re pretty sure Sweet Bits allows children inside. She took him inside to pay for her things. For some reason, she was careless with her money and left the wallet on the counter. It’s time to stop for a second. There’s no way she would be stupid enough not to put her wallet back in her pocketbook. What distracted her that much that she would do that? She doesn’t need to go out if she gets distracted like that. Sloan decided it was a good idea to leave Jude outside and go in to look for her wallet. Needless to say, that was the wrong choice to make. Speaking of her decision to leave her son alone, why would she go to Sweet Bits? She hates Chanel so why would she want to give her any business? She could have taken Jude somewhere else to get some air.

It’s time to get back to the point of this rant. Sloan left Jude alone and he got kidnapped. She panicked when she saw that he was missing. Sloan left her baby alone and he disappeared. What a shock! The police got involved with the kidnapping. Eric reminded Rafe that Nicole kidnapped Sami’s baby, so he went to see EJ. EJ vehemently denied Nicole’s involvement in the kidnapping. Monday’s episode ended with a cliffhanger when EJ caught Nicole with the baby. Nicole was the kidnapper. We liked how the writers didn’t drag out the identity of the kidnapper. They allowed us to find out in the same episode the kidnapping happened. We had to tune in to find out why Nicole took the baby. Her justification brings us to the next part of our rant.

The aftermath of the kidnapping
As we mentioned earlier, Sloan left the baby alone when Nicole kidnapped him. We brought it up again for a reason. Nicole used that as her reason for taking the baby. She told EJ that she took Jude because Sloan left the baby alone. Nicole felt like Sloan didn’t deserve to be a mother for that mistake. We’re sure Nicole’s fans felt like she was justified doing that to Sloan. The situation leaves us torn. We know that Sloan is wrong for what she did to Nicole and Eric. She took her baby and let Nicole think her son was dead. With that said, Nicole didn’t have the right to kidnap the baby. She thought she had the right because she lost her baby. We know that Jude is her son, but she doesn’t know that. As far as the law is concerned, she committed a crime. Nicole isn’t innocent because she has a bigger fanbase than Sloan. We were shocked when EJ was the voice of reason in the storyline. He told Nicole to give the baby back to Sloan and Eric. When EJ wants to do the right thing, that speaks volumes. Nicole agreed with him and gave the baby back.

EJ and Nicole turned the baby in, and Sloan wanted to throw the book at her. We saw the irony flag waving too. She had a lot of nerve to get mad at Nicole for taking her own baby. Sloan has to keep up false pretenses, so she has to be the upset mother. She did what any mother would do. Sloan wanted justice for the kidnapping. Eric expected her to show Nicole mercy for what she did. We couldn’t believe what we were hearing. He thought Sloan should show her mercy for what she did. If the shoe were on the other foot, Nicole would not do the same. Once she finds out the truth, she won’t forgive Sloan for taking her baby. Eric wanted too much leniency for Nicole because he felt sorry for her. We think he did it because he loves her. It’s not likely he would have sympathy for the kidnapper if EJ took the baby. He would expect Rafe to throw the book at him. Eric expects Sloan to take a lot where Nicole is concerned. He believed she just needed to talk to someone, and her problems would be over. Eric made the wrong call. Nicole should get some time in jail for what she did. We know the truth, but they insist on keeping them in the dark about it. He shouldn’t want Nicole to get a slap on the wrist for what she did since he wouldn’t let anyone get away with it.

Stephanie’s attitude with Chad
Chad listened to Paulina’s advice and decided to apologize to Stephanie for what happened. He poured his heart out to her about his concerns with Everett. The conversation didn’t go the way she thought. Chad broke up with her. Stephanie became vicious when he ended their relationship. Stephanie packed her stuff and moved out of their apartment. How did she think their relationship would work when she didn’t live there anymore? She drew the line in the sand when she moved out of the apartment. Stephanie got upset with him for leaving. We believe she wanted to be the one to dump him. Her ego couldn’t handle getting dumped. Chad and Stephanie are not a good couple and needed to break up. She wants Everett and it’s a matter of time before she gets together with him. Stephanie needs every eligible man in town.

The Horton tree trimming dinner
Long time fans know that Days has a tradition of showing the Hortons gather for Christmas. They gather at Tom and Alice’s house for the tree trimming dinner. They put their personalized ornaments on the tree. The traditional moment resonates with fans. It’s part of their tradition. We praise the writers for including the tradition, but something felt off about it. Most of the family weren’t there for the ceremony. You could count the amount of Hortons at the ceremony. There were people at the dinner who didn’t belong there. Xander, Stephanie, and Everett aren’t part of the family and shouldn’t have been there. The writers could have recasted the characters, so there could be more family members at the dinner. It didn’t feel the same watching the ceremony without the family. The writers missed the beat of talking about Bo and Hope. Hope was usually at the ceremony and her absence was felt. Belle didn’t leave town with Shawn so she could have attended the ceremony. The dinner gets smaller each year. We hope to see more Hortons at the next ceremony. The writers did give us a few flashbacks, so it helped ease the void. Thankfully we got a chance to see some of the family in flashbacks.

Nitpicks & Flubs

Eric from Days

Monday

Nicole didn’t change the way we’re supposed to believe. She expected EJ to use his money to hide Jude.

Eric called Sarah by her full name. He used to date her so he didn’t need to refer to her by her full name.

Is something wrong with Eric? Why would he want to show mercy to someone who kidnapped his baby? Would he show mercy if EJ took him and not Nicole?

Tuesday

What good did it do for Brady to hear Theresa’s conversation when he only heard part of it? He never sees or hears anything that she does.

Chad didn’t think about Clyde while he was dating Stephanie, but now he wants to make him pay for killing Abby.

Tom and Alice passed away before Chad got together with Abby, but he said they had trouble accepting him with her at first.

Wednesday

Maggie cried without any tears.

It’s wintertime, but the people in Salem aren’t dressing accordingly. They are wearing light jackets. Salem is in the Midwest so it’s most likely cold there.

Thursday

It’s suddenly Holly’s birthday. Nicole didn’t say anything about her birthday. Holly didn’t mention it either.

Friday

Why did Julie have an ornament with Stephanie’s name on it when she’s not a Horton?

Lucas

Monday

Leo tried to stall to keep from telling Nicole about her baby. If he wanted to tell her the truth, he could have said it.

The DiMeras need to close off their secret entrances since Leo keeps getting into the mansion.

How did Lucas find out about Nicole’s baby? Who told him about it and why would he care that she lost him?

Tuesday

It’s strange that Alex wanted to defend Chad to Stephanie.

Jada didn’t say anything to Rafe about the anniversary of her father’s death.

Wednesday

Theresa could have got rid of the hoodie by throwing it out for the garbage. Why would she bury it when anyone could see her?

Abby wasn’t a reporter very long so it’s not likely that Everett knew about her skills as a reporter.

Thursday

Why did Xander take Victoria to the hospital when Sarah was working? Why didn’t he take her to the mansion to her nanny?

The DiMera mansion was suddenly decorated with Christmas decorations.

Friday

You would think Sloan would be more careful with her wallet. She should have known that she left it at Sweet Bits.

Why would Sloan leave Jude in the middle of the square to find her wallet? She made it easy for Jude to get kidnapped.

Winter doesn’t start until the 21st, but Nicole said it was a beautiful winter morning.

Opinion Article

EJ Nicole and Leo

Dimitri told Leo the truth about the baby
We got some movement in the Nicole/EJ/Eric/Sloan/Dimitri/Leo storyline. Dimitri told Leo that Nicole’s baby didn’t die. He let him know that Sloan claimed the baby as her own. We’re glad that he told him what she did. She doesn’t need to get away with what she did. The writers seemed to enjoy putting the blame on Melinda for the plan. Sloan was okay with going along with the plan. She is just as responsible for what happened as Melinda. Dimitri informed Leo and he wanted him to blackmail Sloan. Hopefully Leo will make Sloan squirm when he reminds her that she took Nicole’s baby. She didn’t have the right to take the baby when he didn’t belong to her. It’s hard to feel completely sorry for Nicole because she’s getting her karma, but that’s a conversation for another time. We wanted to focus on Dimitri telling Leo the truth. This storyline is the only one starting to move along and we’re curious to see how it plays out.

Leo tried to tell Nicole and EJ about the baby
Speaking of the baby storyline, Leo tried to do the right thing. He wanted to tell Nicole and EJ the truth, but they didn’t want to listen to him. Nicole wouldn’t let him talk about it for some reason. She had a feeling that her baby was alive, but she didn’t want to hear what he had to say. Leo didn’t have a reason to see Nicole since the baby was gone. The only thing he would have told her was the baby was alive. If she listened to him, she would have had her baby. Maybe Nicole should listen to people when they try to tell her something. It’s a writer’s troupe that Nicole kept interrupting Leo when he tried to tell her the truth. The writers had to find a way to keep the storyline moving. Leo decided to continue blackmailing Sloan. As much as we enjoy watching Sloan backed into a corner, what’s the point of doing that? Nicole and EJ didn’t believe him so they wouldn’t listen to him when he wanted to tell the truth.

Sloan gets away with everything got out of the call from adoption lawyer
Sloan is a true villain on the show. She always manages to escape trouble. Sloan could have been busted this week when the adoption lawyer called Eric. If you guessed that Sloan got out if it, you’re right about that. Sloan managed to lie to Eric to get out of the call. Let’s back up a bit. The lawyer called Eric to apologize about the adoption falling through. You would think Sloan’s goose was cooked. We weren’t surprised that she avoided getting caught. She came up with a lie and managed not to get caught.

Theresa wanted to cover her tracks
Theresa might need to take lessons from Sloan on how to cover her tracks. She decided to get rid of the hoodie she wore when she kidnapped Victoria. For some reason, she chose to bury the sweater in the park. If you’re thinking she’s an idiot for doing that, you aren’t alone. Brady and Tate almost spotted her doing that. She got lucky they didn’t see her burying the sweater. Theresa could have thrown the sweater in the garbage, but she chose to hold on to it. There were so many ways to get rid of the sweater, but she didn’t do it.

Jude was kidnapped
Sloan was careless when she took Jude out for some air. She chose to leave him in the town square unattended. What do you think happened? That’s right. Someone took the baby and the stroller from the town square. The baby got kidnapped in broad daylight and no one saw anything. There’s always people milling around outside, but no one saw who took the baby. The kidnapper managed to take him without the baby crying. Could that mean he knows the person who took him? Nicole turned out to be the culprit. She didn’t believe that her baby died and took the baby. Nicole must be fast because she took Jude and managed not to get caught leaving the stroller at the pub. She also took the baby to the DiMera tunnels without the staff seeing her.

Random moment of the week
We added a random moment because we didn’t see this coming without reading spoilers. Stephanie and Harris ended up going to bed together. They got drunk and woke up together. Stephanie had her reasons to drink, but why did Harris do it? He didn’t get into a fight with Ava, so he didn’t have a reason to drink. We were shocked when we found out they were going to be in bed together. He told her that he would explain later. The writers chose to recycle the story. Shawn and Talia had a drunken encounter earlier in the year and now Stephanie and Harris did the same thing.

Interview with Serinda Swan, Shaun Sipos and Maria Sten

TV Interview!

Serinda Swan, Shaun Sipos and Maria Sten of "Reacher" on Prime Video

Press Panel

Interview with Serinda Swan, Shaun Sipos and Maria Sten of “Reacher” on Prime Video by Suzanne 12/12/23

“Reacher” season two is even better, in my opinion, than season one, and the cast additions are part of the reason. Swan and Sipos are talented and able to handle action, drama and comedy equally with no obvious effort (as they’ve proven many times).  I believe the writing is also better, and it has a lot more humor than season one.  Sipos’ character is wise-cracking, but he’s certainly not the only one that has funny lines. Of course, you know with this kind of show that they try to put in humor to balance out the serious drama (and tragedy). I enjoyed speaking to these three actors. Swan was so great in “The Inhumans” and “Coroner,” and Sipos has been in many fine shows that I love, such as “Krypton,” “Dark Matter” and “The Vampire Diaries.” This was a roundtable, so there were other journalists. I was only able to ask one question, unfortunately. Watch the new season now!

About

Reacher Season Two begins when veteran military police investigator Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) receives a coded message that the members of his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being mysteriously and brutally murdered one by one. Pulled from his drifter lifestyle, Reacher reunites with three of his former teammates turned chosen family to investigate, including Frances Neagley (Maria Sten); Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan), a forensic accountant for whom Reacher has long had a soft spot; and fast-talking, switchblade-wielding family man David O’Donnell (Shaun Sipos). Together, they begin to connect the dots in a mystery where the stakes get higher at every turn, and brings about questions of who has betrayed them—and who will die next. Using his inimitable blend of smarts and size, Reacher will stop at nothing to uncover the truth and protect the members of his unit. If there’s one thing Reacher and his team know for certain, it’s that you do not mess with the Special Investigators. This season, get ready for Reacher and the 110th to hit back hard.

Based on Bad Luck and Trouble, the 11th book in Lee Child’s global best-selling series, Reacher Season Two stars Alan Ritchson in the title role of Jack Reacher, with Maria Sten, Serinda Swan, and Shaun Sipos as key members of the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit. Rounding out the cast are Ferdinand Kingsley as A.M., a mercenary that homeland security refers to as a “ghost;” Robert Patrick as Shane Langston, head of security for a private defense contractor with a questionable track record; and Domenick Lombardozzi as tough NYPD detective Guy Russo.

Reacher is produced by Amazon Studios, Skydance Television, and Paramount Television Studios. Based on the novels by Lee Child, who serves as an executive producer, the series is written for television by Emmy-nominated writer Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break), who also executive produces and serves as showrunner. In addition to Santora and Child, the series is executive produced by Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, and Adam Higgs, with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance.Scene from "Reacher" season 2. Days Nitpicks & Flubs For The Week Of December 4, 2023

Nitpicks & Flubs

by Michele & Cheryl

Holly and Johnny

Monday

Why would Johnny ask Holly to help with his anniversary party when he knows Chanel thinks she has a crush on him?

If Darius could find Dimitri, why did the police have trouble finding him?

Tuesday

Nicole questioned Kayla about the test results. If she didn’t think the test results would be accurate, why did she want her to do them?

Kayla said there wasn’t enough DNA to test against the baby. Nicole’s DNA should be on file at the hospital because EJ’s was on file.

Wednesday

Wendy wanted to stay in the same apartment her brother was killed in. You would think she wouldn’t want to keep getting reminded that he was killed in her apartment.

Why did Ava and Harris choose to eat their food in dim lighting?

Chad’s flashback could be heard before it was shown.

Rafe has a house, but he continues to hang out with Jada at her place.

Thursday

Stefan shouldn’t have been surprised that Vivian didn’t want to help Gabi. She would still be in Salem if Gabi didn’t throw her under the bus.

Chad should have made a better effort to cover his tracks when he bought Gwen’s half of the paper. You would think he wouldn’t have made it easy to get caught buying the paper.

Friday

EJ knew that Nicole had a difficult pregnancy so why would he tell her they could try to have another baby?

Why did the adoption lawyer call Eric and not Sloan about the baby?

Interview with Jason Isaacs, Dyan Cannon, Jennifer Grant and Jeff Pope of “Archie” on Britbox by Jamie 12/5/23

From executive producer Jeff Pope, “Archie,” now on Britbox, brings the little-known story of actor Cary Grant’s rise to stardom, starting with his formative years as the troubled Archie Leach, who overcame his struggles to reinvent himself, to become the superstar the public knew.

Pope, along with Cary Grant’s daughter, Jennifer Grant, and Dyan Cannon, his ex-wife, as well as Jason Isaacs, the actor who stars in the title role, spoke with Jamie Ruby for TVMEG.COM earlier in the week.

The idea to do the series first came to Pope after reading Jennifer Grant’s book, Good Stuff, about her father. “I became fascinated with the kind of wit and humor of the man, as Jennifer relayed,” said Pope. The producer hadn’t realized that Cary had retired, and wanted to know why. “[W]hen he became a father, he gave it all up to become a stay at home dad, and I thought, that was my starting point
when you dig back into his past, you realize, because of his traumatic childhood, he was so determined that he was going to be the best father he could, and not be an absent father, which a continuing movie career would have meant.”

It was ten years ago when he first came to Cannon and told her he wanted to make the movie. “We talked it right into being and now it’s a four hour miniseries, which gives the audience a full bodied look at him,” said Cannon, who wrote memoirs from which the series was also partly based, adding that she was involved in both the casting and the biggest decision making and that she is is thrilled with the way it’s turned out, including the performances.

Jennifer Grant spoke to Isaacs’ performance in particular. “I was very grateful
that we found Jason,” she told the site. “He really had dad’s voice and dad’s mannerisms, and dad’s tenderness, especially, so it was a bizarre process watching my mom and dad.”

Series’ star Isaacs spoke about that transformation during the interview, praising the creative team for the physical part of it. “Mostly it was other people doing the work,” he said. “It was extraordinary costumes that were tailor made by the best tailors in the world and that compensated for my various punches and twists. Liz Headley, our incredible makeup artist gave me a chin and eyes and hair and, obviously, prosthetics when he gets heavy and he’s older. So, a lot of it was done for me.”

It was Grant’s voice that was the most difficult for Isaacs. “I didn’t want to do the voice he does in the movies, because I knew that nobody talks like that in real life,” he said. “I don’t mean the accent. I mean, his speech patterns were so similar, so repeated, that there was no way he was like that when he was being spontaneous. I found only one elicit recording of an interview he gave once, because he didn’t do interviews, and didn’t really want
the world to see who Cary Grant really was. Cary Grant was Archie Leach, and behind closed doors, when he stepped off screen, he was someone entirely different.”

Isaacs learned a lot about Grant during the process. “I don’t think anybody, unless they’ve read the biographies and read Dyan’s book, knew that this man who was famous for one or two things, being suave and debonair, was the very opposite, who seemed the very epitome of certainty and masculinity and solidity, was so fragile and so fractious and so angry at the world and himself,” said the actor.

Key art for "Archie" on Britbox

Coming to BritBox in North America December 7, 2023, Archie outlines the life of the infamous Cary Grant. Born in Bristol, England in 1904, to parents Elsie and Elias, Archie narrates the story of a young Archibald Alexander Leach’s troubled childhood and how extreme poverty, his father’s adultery and the loss of his older brother, John, tore the family apart and sent his loving mother into a downward spiral of grief and depression. Jeff Pope’s scripts reveal how deceit, cruelty and one, overpowering lie shaped Archie’s life. At 14 he auditioned for the music hall act, the Bob Pender Troupe, a band of acrobats, stilt walkers, clowns and comedians after seeing them perform at the Bristol Hippodrome. Lean and athletic, he learned the art of stilt walking, and when the troupe went on tour to the US, teenage Archie was intoxicated by the land of opportunity. Believing he had no family to return to in the UK, he decided to stay in the US to try to make his way in showbusiness.

With no thoughts of acting, a chance meeting with the comedian George Burns helped him find his first footing on the acting ladder and a contract with a movie studio who felt he needed to change his name, and Cary Grant was born. The drama intercuts with scenes from 1961 when at the height of his fame, living in Benedict Canyon, Los Angeles, the legendary actor was breaking all box office records, but desperately unhappy in his private life. With two failed marriages behind him, he began to woo an actress he’d seen on a TV show, Dyan Cannon. Thirty-three years his junior, Dyan, didn’t initially fall for his charms turning down his attempts to meet, because she didn’t feel they could ever be a match. Dashingly handsome, suave and sophisticated, Cary continued to pursue her, with introductions to his famous friends, until they eventually wed in Las Vegas in 1965.

The series also stars Laura Aikman (Not Going Out, Gavin and Stacey) as Cary’s formidable ex-wife, actress and filmmaker Dyan Cannon, with Harriet Walter (Succession, Ted Lasso, Killing Eve) as Elsie Leach, Cary’s mother.

Dainton Anderson (Patrick Melrose), Calam Lynch (Bridgerton) and Oaklee Pendergast (Home) play young versions of Archie Leach, and Kara Tointon (Mr Selfridge, The Halcyon, Sound of Music Live) plays young Elsie.

Archie is a 4 x 60 mins drama commissioned by ITV’s Head of Drama, Polly Hill for ITVX. Rebecca Hodgson (Sherwood, The Irregulars, Deep Water, The Road to Coronation Street) is the producer and Paul Andrew Williams (A Confession, London to Brighton, Song for Marion) directs. With the blessing of Cary Grant’s daughter, Jennifer Grant, and ex-wife Dyan Cannon, the pair serve as Executive Producers. Jeff Pope executive produces the series for Etta Pictures with Diederick Santer for BritBox International. The series is coming to BritBox in December 2023.

Days Nitpicks & Flubs For The Week Of November 27, 2023

Nitpicks & Flubs

by Michele & Cheryl

Nicole

Monday

You would think Nicole wouldn’t want to hold a baby after losing her. It was convenient that she wanted to hold Eric’s baby since the baby is hers.

Rafe basically thought Dimitri wasn’t a criminal. Did he forget that he tried to kill his sister?

Jada managed not to see Stefan in the evidence room.

Tuesday

Doug was too tired to deal with the family for Thanksgiving, but Chad made the kids stay with him and Julie.

Theresa’s accent slipped when she talked to Alex. Theresa is American so she shouldn’t sound like Gwen.

Xander was holding a drumstick one minute and it was gone the next.

What kind of friend is Kayla? Why would she want Maggie left in the dark about the type of person Konstantin is.

Theresa was looking in Alex’s direction but didn’t see him walk in the room while she was talking to Konstantin.

Wednesday

Kayla acted as if Steve had a reason to lie about Konstantin. He doesn’t gain anything by exposing Konstantin for his lies.

Thanksgiving was last week, but they were still talking about it.

Alex and Theresa were with Maggie and were suddenly at the town square the next.

Alex was supposed to punch Xander, but he clearly didn’t hit him.

Thursday

Sloan was supposed to go to the station, but she went to see EJ.

Eric told Marlena that she could check on the baby, but she said that you shouldn’t disturb a sleeping baby. She said she would peek at the baby. She didn’t realize that’s the same thing Eric suggested.

There weren’t any covers on Alex’s couch when he and Theresa had sex. It suddenly appeared after they were together.

Friday

The actor playing Tate was clearly reading his lines while he was talking to Johnny and Chanel.

Chanel was wearing a big coat, but she was wearing shorts.

Days Opinions For The Week Of November 27, 2023

Opinion Article

by Michele & Cheryl

Nicole

Nicole realized that Eric and Sloan’s baby was hers. She looked at the baby and immediately felt the maternal bond. We weren’t sure if she would feel that way immediately, but she surprised us. She held Eric’s baby for a few minutes and realized he was her baby. She was like a dog with a bone with her theory. Eric, EJ, and Sloan told her that the baby wasn’t hers. She wouldn’t believe them. We didn’t think the story would move that fast. Storylines like that usually stretch for months at a time. We’re pretty sure the writers will find a way to slow the storyline down, but we give them credit for moving it along the way they are. Arianne Zucker did a pretty good job with the material she was given. She made us believe she was a grieving mother. We were pleasantly surprised by her performance. The story was easily the best one of the week. Watching Nicole drive it home that Eric had her baby kept us glued to the screen.

Speaking of Nicole’s storyline. Holly showed that she’s more than just a lovesick teenager. She suggested that Eric get a DNA test done on the baby. Holly didn’t seem clever enough to come up with an idea that could help push the storyline alone. She went to Eric and asked him to get a DNA test done on the baby. He was willing to do it. You would think the adults in the storyline would have come up with the idea that could solve the problem. We aren’t psychics, but we know that Sloan will intercept the test, so Nicole won’t find out the truth about the baby. For now, we’ll be happy that someone was thinking in the storyline.

Since the baby storyline dominated the week, it makes sense for most of the article to focus on the baby storyline. Anyway, Dimitri figured out that Sloan took Nicole’s baby. He demanded that she clear Leo’s name or he would tell her the truth. Sloan came up with different excuses until she admitted that she had the baby. Dimitri wanted her to help Leo or else. We loved the look of panic on her face when she squirmed while he threatened her. She had to do whatever it took to help Leo, but she kept hitting dead ends. Sloan needed to get a reality check because it seemed like she was the good one at a point. She was the one who started everything in the first place. Now she must do everything Dimitri wants, or he will tell the truth. We don’t care for Dimitri, but he had her number. We will enjoy watching him blackmail her for as long as it lasts.

The DNA test was done this week. Eric took the baby to Kayla so she could do the procedure. We know that Sloan will do something to make sure that she isn’t busted right away. We have seen this happen so many times on the show that we already know that Sloan will get away with swapping the DNA results. She doesn’t know anything about fixing tests, but she will find a way to switch the results, so the story won’t end soon.

Why is everyone acting as if Steve has an axe to grind when it concerns Konstantin? He isn’t a schemer so his family and friends should trust him. He has no reason to lie about Konstantin. What does he gain from exposing him? What does Konstantin gain from lying? Konstantin has a reason to lie because he doesn’t want to get exposed. Maggie may as well paint gullible on her forehead when it concerns Konstantin. She believed every lie he told her. We want to see the look on her face when she realizes that Konstantin and Theresa schemed against her.

Chad must be reverting to his old ways. He schemed with Xander so he could get Everett fired from the paper. He thought that would keep Everett from Stephanie. His plan will blow up in his face because Everett has more time to spend with Stephanie. We won’t pretend to care about this storyline because we don’t. we see that Chad is acting like he’s the good one in the story when he’s not. Stephanie isn’t good either. She loves the fact that Everett is still in love with her. She enjoys the attention. Everett decided to call Gwen to find out why she fired him. He could easily figure out that Gwen sold Chad her half of the paper. Stephanie could also ask Everett to work for her. Chad’s plan could backfire on him.

Interview with Larry A. Thompson, producer of “Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas” on Lifetime by Suzanne 10/23/23

In a normal year, I would have been able to interview one of the great actresses in this movie, or possibly all of them. However, this interview was during the SAG-Aftra strike, so I was only allowed to speak to the movie’s executive producer. However, it was a great chat because he’s been around a long time. He worked with the Beatles when he was just starting out as a lawyer for EMI! He’s not only a producer, but a manager. In fact, he manages William Shatner, whom I love and would very much like to interview one day. It was awesome to hear his stories in this interview. I hope you enjoy it, too!

The movie is very fun – especially if you enjoy romantic Christmas movies, or if you watched primetime soaps like “Knots Landing,” “Dallas,” “Desperate Housewives,” etc. because the “ladies” of the title are LInda Grey (Sue Ellen on “Dallas”), Loni Anderson (Jennifer of “WKRP in Cincinnati, among other roles – the only “lady” not known for soaps), Morgan Fairchild (of Falcon Crest, Paper Dolls and many daytime soaps), Nicolette Sheridan (Paige of “Knots Landing” and Edie of “Desperate Housewives”), and Donna Mills (Abby in “Knots Landing”). It was great to see them all in this charming film. Thompson’s daughter, Taylor Ann, is the ingenue of the movie.  Christopher Atkins has a small role as Grey’s son (This is hilarious to me because in “Dallas,” their characters had an affair!).  I enjoyed it. It’s fun and very Christmasy. The male lead, Travis Burns, is very handsome and has a killer Aussie accent. Happy Holidays! Don’t miss the movie tomorrow, December 2nd, 2023!

With the show nearly canceled before it even begins due to the ladies’ famous diva behavior, they reluctantly agree to set aside their differences and past secrets to “act” as if they all still love each other.  When old sparks reignite between Alex and Nell, the ladies become eager to play cupid and conspire to bring the couple together. Along the way, the divas also discover that the love between them all is still very strong too.

The movie’s theme song Ladies of the ’80s was written by Song Writer Hall of Fame’s Steve Dorff and Michael Jay, produced by Steve Droff, and performed by ’80s pop sensation Tiffany (I Think We’re Alone Now).

Interview with Kristoffer Polaha, Neal McDonough and Brock Heasley of the movie “The Shift” by Suzanne 11/29/23

It was so great to speak to these three. I’m a huge fan of these actors from their past work.  I enjoyed the movie, which is SciFi but also Christian.  It’s not preachy, though, and it’s an exciting action drama. You definitely don’t have to be religious to like it. It’s a fun ride. The cast is very good. Besides these two, it also stars Sean Astin and Elizabeth Tabish. I hope you enjoy this video! I didn’t have very much time to speak with them. I could easily have chatted with them for a half hour each, or more.

TV Interview!

Actor Tim Rozon (from his Instagram)

Interview with Tim Rozon of “SurrealEstate” on Syfy by Suzanne 11/16/23

It was great to speak with Tim again. He’s very engaging and fun. I love this show – the writing, the humor, the acting, the scares…it is just worth watching for pure entertainment. Usually we interview the actors before the show starts, but we weren’t able to do that because of the SAG-AFTRA strike. However, I did interview the show’s creator/writer, George R. Olson, so that was cool. I love interviewing writers, directors and producers from shows I love, as well as the actors. I’m very grateful that we have them all back now and available.  There are 3 episodes left as I post this, so I hope you get to watch all the episodes! The last three really wrap things up nicely for this season.

Tim Rozon

Luke Roman

Tim’s first major role was playing heartthrob Tommy Quincy opposite Alexz Johnson and Laura Vandervoort for four seasons on the teen drama series “Instant Star” for TeenNick (USA) and CTV (Canada).  He was then cast as the series lead Alex Caine, playing a gang infiltrator, in “Befriend and Betray” for Shaw TV (Canada).   Recent series leads include playing Mutt Schitt on the Emmy juggernaut and Golden Globe winning CBC/Netflix hit comedy “Schitt’s Creek” opposite comedy icons Eugene Levy, Dan Levy, Catherine O’Hara and Chris Elliott; Doc Holliday, the infamous lawman and charismatic gambler, on the fan-fave SyFy series “Wynonna Earp”; Constable Carson Myers, stand up RCMP officer and love interest, on the CBC series “Diggstown” opposite Natasha Henstridge and Vinessa Antoine;  Isaac, lawyer turned outer space rogue, in the SyFy series Vagrant Queen.  Tim is delighted to currently be playing the series leading role of Luke Roman, a real estate agent specializing in haunted homes, on SyFy’s new series “SurrealEstate.”

Tim won a prestigious Gemini Award (the “Canadian Emmy”) for his performance in the series “Flashpoint” (CTV/CBS) and was nominated for another Gemini for work in “Befriend and Betray”.  Tim was thrilled when “Wynonna Earp” won the People’s Choice Award for Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy show in both 2018 and 2020.

When not acting, Tim plays the role of restaurateur in Montreal at his hit restaurants Garde Manger and Le Bremner opposite star chef Chuck Hughes.

“SurrealEstate” follows real estate agent Luke Roman and an elite team of specialists that handle the cases no one else can: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away. Gary Anthony Sturgis plays warlock Julius on "Wicked City" on ALLBLK

Interview with Gary Anthony Sturgis of “Wicked City” on ALLBLK by Suzanne 11/20/23

I had a blast chatting with Gary! He is so funny, smart and entertaining, and he loves to talk. We’ve been Facebook friends for 14 years, so it was great to finally “meet” face to face. He’s been in many great shows and movies. Not only is he a talented actor, he’s also an accomplished writer!

MORE INFO:

Gary Anthony Sturgis plays warlock Julius on "Wicked City" on ALLBLKGary Anthony Sturgis is a New Orleans born actor/writer/director best-known for his portrayal of the villain in two of Tyler Perry’s biggest hit films, “Diary of A Mad Black Woman” (as Jamison Jackson) and “Daddy’s Little Girls” (as Joseph Woods). He also co-starred opposite Terrence Howard in “Pride”, as the charming yet sinister pimp/drug dealer Franklin Washington. Recently, he has stepped out the role of bad guy to co-star in the comedy “Chicago Pulaski Jones” with Kel Mitchell and Cedric the Entertainer.

Also a professional voice artist, Sturgis has voiced network promos for UPN, CBS, PBS and ABC, cartoons and video games (Static Shock, Batman, Scooby Doo and The Cyber Chase, Fairly Odd Parents, Spiderman) and is heard on countless commercials for radio and television. His raspy bass-baritone voice that the women find hard to resist has even been heard on national movie trailers and promotions for; “Bones”, “Two Can Play That Game”, “The Others”, “The Brothers” and “The Wood” to name a select few. In addition, he is also the voice for the History Channel’s “K-9 Cops”. For another surprise, Gary also produces and writes rap music and has a successful recording under the moniker Illuminati called Fahrenheit, which is still available on iTunes.

As a writer/producer, Gary is producing some of his own feature-length screenplays (he has written more than ten), and has packaged his works into three and four picture deals and commenced to shopping them around town for financing and distribution. We have only scratched the surface of this multi-faceted creative soul.

Since Sturgis had been writing for years, the next natural progression was to direct. After directing “Lend A Hand”, a 90-second short film for the American Black Film Festival (ABFF), Gary realized that directing was yet another feather he could stick in his talented cap.

Days Nitpicks & Flubs For The Week Of November 13, 2023

Nitpicks & Flubs

by Michele & Cheryl

EJ from Days

Monday

EJ didn’t think to check Nicole’s location to find her, but Eric conveniently used it to find her.

Leo volunteered Dimitri to take Nicole’s baby to the hospital. That didn’t make sense because he is the one the police were after. Leo should have taken the baby to the hospital.

Dimitri conveniently heard Rafe talking about coming after him.

Speaking of Dimitri, he saw Rafe and EJ, but they didn’t see him holding a baby at the hospital.

How did Dimitri know where Sloan lives? He showed up at her place with Nicole’s baby, but he shouldn’t know where she lives.

Tuesday

Nicole didn’t have any bruises on her face after her car accident.

Nicole’s baby wasn’t checked out after she gave birth to him. Melinda and Sloan took their time getting him to the hospital.

Wednesday

Nicole cried without any tears.

Dr. Pierce was able to walk around the hospital wearing a medical jacket without anyone noticing.

How did Dr. Pierce find Nicole’s room without anyone getting suspicious of him?

EJ cried without any tears.

Thursday

Sarah had to rush to work, but she talked about Konstantin with Maggie.

Who would have told Chad that Dimitri’s family didn’t want to give her the money?

Friday

Maggie didn’t watch Victoria and made it easy for Theresa to kidnap her.

Days Opinions For The Week Of November 13, 2023

Opinion Article

by Michele & Cheryl

Leo Dimitri and Nicole from Days

Nicole got into an accident with Dimitri and Leo

The week got off to an electrifying start. Dimitri raced to get to the submarine and ran Nicole off the road. The accident happened in true soap style. Nicole veered off the road and went into labor. Leo helped her when she went into labor. We will get into that later. The point of this opinion is to talk about the convenience of the accident. Eric had to be the one to find Nicole on the road. He acted as if he was the only one who cared about Nicole’s well-being. EJ is her husband, but he showed up after Eric. We know the writers love pushing the idea of Eric and Nicole down our throats, but we aren’t buying it. We prefer seeing Nicole with EJ, but we know we are members of an unpopular club. The writers want us to think eric and Nicole are meant to be together, but they had their chances. They got together multiple times and didn’t work out so what’s different this time? Nicole always wants who she doesn’t have so she will go after someone else if she does get together with Eric.

Leo showed he had a decent side to him

If we didn’t see it, we wouldn’t believe it. Leo showed a different side. Normally he’s just a caricature, but he showed his decent side. Dimitri ran Nicole off the road. Dimitri wanted to keep going, but Leo stopped him. He wanted to help Nicole. Nicole asked him to stay with her and deliver her baby. He did it. Leo stayed with her while Dimitri took the baby to the hospital. He could have left her there to die, but he didn’t want to do that. Leo proved that he’s more than just jokes. He had a human side to him. It was nice to see because we don’t get a chance to see it often. We applaud the writers for giving Leo a human side instead of always making him clown around. He made jokes, but he showed he had a heart.

Melinda became the fall guy for the story

The writers clearly hate Melinda’s character. They do anything they can to write her in a bad way. She talked Sloan into keeping the truth about the baby from Eric. Sloan was the reason why they couldn’t adopt the boy. Melinda told her not to say anything. She wanted her to give her a chance to get another baby. Sloan claimed she wanted to tell the truth, but she allowed Melinda to talk her into keeping the secret. Dimitri showed up at Sloan’s place while Melinda was there. He brought Nicole’s baby to the apartment. Melinda wanted Sloan to adopt the baby. Sloan argued with her for a few minutes and caved. Sloan is responsible for keeping the truth hidden from Eric even though Melissa told her to do it. Sloan is a grown woman and didn’t have to go along with Melinda’s plan. When Eric finds out the truth, he’s not going to be mad at Melinda. He’s going to dump Sloan.

We were disgusted with Melinda. She didn’t get a chance to raise her daughter so why would she do that to another woman? She should have been the one talking Sloan out of taking the baby. Melinda didn’t have to take the baby. She will lose everything once the truth comes out. The writers will have to get rid of her character because there’s nothing left to do with her. Sloan will have to leave too. She won’t be coming back from this scheme. We know that she’s getting exposed because that always happens. The baby will need something from the biological parents and Sloan will be screwed. The writers enjoy butchering Melinda. Sloan is the villain in the story and making Melinda take the fall for Sloan’s scheme won’t change our minds.

Konstantin’s plan for Maggie

Konstantin came up with a new plan to win Maggie over. He overheard Sarah badmouthing him and wanted to do something to get back in Maggie’s good graces. Konstantin decided to take Sarah’s baby so he could look like a hero. Maggie would be grateful for saving her granddaughter. The plan couldn’t work without help. Theresa had to get involved in the plan. Konstantin made her kidnap Sarah’s baby. He thought Sarah and Maggie would pay him for saving the baby. Theresa fought him down and eventually changed her mind. She took the baby and left the mansion. We were shocked watching Maggie tend to Konstantin instead of going after Theresa. She would have caught Theresa if she went after her. Theresa loved Maggie so much and didn’t want to do it. She allowed him to blackmail her to help him. He planned on telling Alex the truth about his paternity if she didn’t do what he said. She got herself in deep trouble going along with him. Theresa is going to lose everything because she feels the need to keep working with Konstantin.

Chad, Stephanie, and Everett Triangle

We can’t stress enough that this storyline is the weakest one on the show. The writers want us to root for Stephanie to hook up with anyone at this point. They expect us to think she’s so desirable that every available man in Salem wants her. Everett is conveniently an ex-boyfriend of Stephanie’s, and he wants her. Is anyone surprised by that? He hired her to work with him at the newspaper. Chad didn’t like it and confronted Stephanie about it. He felt like she was trying to get him to marry her. She had the nerve to think there was nothing wrong with Everett getting involved in their lives. She enjoys the attention she gets from any man who looks her way. Stephanie would deserve it if Chad broke up with her. He decided to buy Gwen out of the paper so he could be Everett’s boss. We don’t see the point in this plan. He shouldn’t waste time with Stephanie anymore since she enjoyed Everett flirting with her. This storyline ruined a decent week. The triangle doesn’t hold our interest because we don’t know Everett so there’s no rooting value there. We’re not excited about this storyline at all because there’s no movement.

Gabi and Li

Gabi didn’t learn anything from Rafe

The writers decided to start a murder mystery for the fans to watch play out. We love mysteries. A great mystery makes the show exciting. Gabi arrived at Wendy’s place and found Li dead. Well, that’s her story. She chose to hold the knife and got caught doing it. Stefan walked in the room and saw Gabi holding the knife. Wendy also walked in while she was holding the knife. Gabi forgot that she is the sister of a cop. You would think she wouldn’t have touched the knife. She may as well have put the handcuffs on herself. Gabi went to prison before and did everything she could to make sure that she went back again. We know the actress was leaving, but the writers could have created a different way to write her out.

Did someone set Gabi up for murder?

As we mentioned, Gabi found Li faced down with a knife wound in his back. We didn’t see how he was stabbed, but he died. There are some people on our suspects’ list. Let’s talk about the suspects that might have killed Li and framed Gabi for it. We might be reaching, but we put Stefan on the list. He showed up at the apartment and acted weird around Gabi. Stefan had a sinister look on his face when Gabi told him that she was innocent of the murder. She wanted to run, and he told her not to go. Stefan has a motive to frame her. He might be upset that she turned Vivian in to the police, causing her to run. He got mad when she did that and he might want revenge for it. We might be reaching, but we wouldn’t be surprised if he framed her. EJ can’t wait to prosecute Gabi for the crime. He proved he would hire a hitman when he needed one. EJ has a motive for framing Gabi. He got upset when Stefan and Gabi gained control of DiMera Enterprises. EJ wasn’t happy about it. He could have hired someone to kill Li since he gave up his shares.

Kristen is on our suspect list. She could have gone to Li’s place and stabbed him. Kristen wouldn’t have a problem framing Gabi since she schemed against her. Gabi and Stefan tricked Rachel into saying that Kristen abused her. Kristen had to give up her rights so they could take her shares. She wasn’t happy about it so it wouldn’t take much for her to set Gabi up for the crime. Brady is another person on our suspect list. Gabi and Stefan let him think they could help him get Rachel back. They promised him evidence he could use for the judge. Once they got their way, they destroyed the evidence against Kristen. Brady got very upset about it. He might have gone to the apartment and stabbed Li. Harris is another suspect on our list. He might be under Megan’s influence. Harris tried to kill Stefan so he could break his heart by taking his wife away from him. There are so many people to suspect because Gabi hurt a lot of people for her personal gain. Gabi might have killed Li. She may not be innocent. We didn’t see what happened to Li. She was in the room with him.

Sarah’s attitude towards Xander

Sarah is getting on our nerves. She wants to sue Xander, but she expects him to leave her alone. Sarah asked him to postpone their case so she could be there for Xander. Xander agreed to do it. They seemed to get along when Eric arrived. He ruined it by mentioning the case. Sarah got upset with Xander again. She expects Xander not to try to win his case, but she’s allowed to do it. Sarah ran into Xander so he didn’t have time to stop the case. We hope that Sarah loses custody of the baby. She needs to pay for keeping the truth from Xander in the first place.

Jada needs to turn in her badge

It might be time for Jada to turn in her badge. She found Dimitri and Leo at a motel. The detective decided to pursue them without back up. Did she forget that Dimitri got accused of attempted murder? She shouldn’t have gone to the motel without Harris or another cop. Dimitri managed to get the drop on her and they got away from her. We shook our heads watching her lose control of the situation the way she did. She should have known better, but that wasn’t the case. Her actions made it possible for Dimitri and Leo to escape. Their escape led to the inevitable accident that will play out during the week.

Dominic Monaghan, star of "Moriarty" on Audible

Interview with Dominic Monaghan, star of “Moriarty” on Audible by Suzanne 11/8/23

It was wonderful to speak with Dominic, who seems just as nice as you might imagine he’d be from his many great roles. As a fan of “Lost,” “Lord of the Rings” and his other work (especially “Moonhaven”), I could have honestly spoken to him for hours. Normally, we only cover TV, and the occasional movie, but this project is so well written and acted, and stars many of my favorite actors, so I couldn’t pass up the chance to cover it here. “Moriarty: The Devil’s Game” premiered last year and was a huge hit. “Moriarty: The Silent Order” premieres Thursday, Nov. 9. You won’t want to miss it. Helen Mirren joins the great cast. If you only listen to ONE audio drama this year, make it this one….especially if you’re a fan of Sherlock Holmes stories.

Sloan from Days

Monday

Theresa’s flashback could be heard before it was shown.

Sloan was able to break into DiMera mansion without anyone seeing her.

Nicole and EJ managed not to see Sloan switch the test results.

Tuesday

Tripp should have heard Ava and Gil (Clyde’s henchman) talking in his apartment.

Wednesday

Brady shot down the idea of co-parenting Rachel with Kristen. You would think he would have been willing to do it so he could see Rachel.

Kristen’s flashback could be heard before it was shown.

Thursday

Maggie shouldn’t be surprised that Xander was going after full custody of Victoria. Maggie was the one who told Sarah that Xander was going to do that if she didn’t tell him the truth.

Sarah heard Konstantin say Xander’s name, but she didn’t hear anything else.

Sarah wasn’t doing anything, but she needed the nanny to put Victoria down for her nap. What was keeping Sarah from putting her down?

Friday

Gabi suddenly felt guilty about setting Kristen up for abusing Rachel. Gabi should have thought about the way she would have felt if the shoe were on the other foot before they went through with the plan.

Why was Stephanie surprised that Chad wasn’t ready to get married? He just lost his wife. What made her think he was going to suddenly be ready to marry her?

Konstantin and Theresa

We are confused with Theresa and Konstantin’s plan. They fixed Victor’s will so everyone would think Alex deserved his money. We don’t understand Theresa’ role in the plan. She wanted Alex to have everything. She could have fixed the will so Tate could get the money. She made sure her son didn’t get anything. She believes she’s going to marry Alex and get access to his money. Alex doesn’t seem attracted enough to marry her, so she has an uphill battle ahead of her. We’re curious to see what Konstantin will do to Maggie. He might go after her money. It might be good to see her involved in a big story.

Speaking of Maggie, she went off on Xander because he wants to sue Sarah for full custody of Victoria. She warned Sarah that would happen if she kept the truth from him. She shouldn’t have been surprised by that. Maggie warned her that he would go after her for lying to him. She didn’t want to listen to her. Maggie got what she deserved. Xander put Maggie in her place for lying about the baby. She needed a reality check. Maggie apologized to him. It won’t be long before she kisses up to him again.

Sarah yelled at Xander for the lawsuit. She knew he wanted custody of the baby so shouldn’t be surprised. Xander wanted to make things work, but Justin ruined that for him. She showed her evil side, and he didn’t back down. Sarah thought yelling would get her way. She found out the hard way that wasn’t the case. We hope he doesn’t back down and let her have custody. Xander has rights, but she didn’t care about them.

We watched Days of Our Lives and rolled our eyes at Stephanie. She got mad because Chad didn’t love her the same way he loved Abby. Did she really think Chad would forget about his love for Abby? Abby was Chad’s first love so he wouldn’t forget about her. Stephanie expected him to get over Abby. She knows Abby meant everything to Chad, but that didn’t matter to her. She thought he was going to forget the way he felt about his wife for someone he just started dating. Stephanie is something else. She expects all men to desire her. Chad would be a first-class jerk if he got over Abby as fast as she wanted him to do it.

Speaking of Stephanie, what was up with Steve? He was no different from Stephanie. He talked to Chad about Stephanie. He expected Chad to marry Stephanie or leave her alone. Did he forget that Chad was married to his niece? Why would he want him to move on so fast? What if something happened to Kayla? Would he move on that fast? If Stephanie was murdered, would he want Chad to move on with Abby that quickly? We feel like he wouldn’t want that to happen. He would have expected Chad to slow down with the relationship. Chad already moved in with Stephanie too fast and now he’s expected to marry her.

Gabi needs help. She was willing to let another mother get in trouble for child abuse. She and Stefan wanted Rachel to tell the judge that Kristen was abusing her just so they could get her shares. Child abuse is nothing to play around with, but she didn’t care. She wanted the shares and that’s all that mattered. Gabi let Brady think she would help him by getting proof that Rachel was getting abused. He believed it and they went through with their plan. As a mother, Gabi shouldn’t do something like that. She could have been in the same position if Will and Sonny wanted to do that to her. They blackmailed Kristen and she caved. She signed her shares to him, and they made the video disappear. They shouldn’t have done that to Kristen or Brady. We feel like the writers are setting up Gabi’s demise by having her act that way. We won’t be disappointed since she’s acting up.

Days Nitpicks & Flubs For The Week Of 10/16/23

Nitpicks & Flubs

by Michele & Cheryl

Stephanie from DOOL

Monday

Stephanie forgot Abby’s birthday. She acted as if she was close to her, but she forgot her birthday.

Kate talked to Marlena about her kids, but she didn’t mention Billie and Cassie. Did she forget she had daughters?

Stephanie shouldn’t have been surprised that Chad doesn’t love her the way he loved Abby. She knew that Chad was in love with Abby so there’s no need to be surprised that he doesn’t love her the same way.

Tuesday

Kayla pulled strings to get Talia a job at the hospital, but she was ready to go back to California.

Clyde is managing to do a lot in prison. He helped Edmund kidnap Susan. There’s no reason why they should have met each other.

Wednesday

Stefan was upset that Gabi chased Vivian away as if she hadn’t gone for a long time. She was in prison, so he wasn’t seeing her.

Dimitri was shot and was going to be arrested for attempted murder, but he didn’t have a cop outside of his room at the hospital.

Thursday

Leo didn’t know Dimitri was going to be on the run so how did he know to have a blonde wig with him?

Rachel could be heard talking to Stephan while Tate was shown.

Friday

When did Steve have a problem with Theresa? Theresa said she couldn’t stay with Kayla because Steve had a problem with her.

Emily O’Brien (Gwen/Theresa) was talking with her British accent.
