Tessa visits Mariah at the clinic in Boston and notices that she doesn’t seem any better and she looks more depressed than when she left Genoa City. Tessa wants to take her out of the clinic and move her to a clinic closer to home. Mariah tells Tessa she must stay there and do the hard work it takes to get better. Mariah tells Tessa not to come see her anymore.

In Los Angeles, the doctor tells Nick and Sharon that Noah has swelling on the brain and they have decided to put Noah in a medically induced coma so the swelling will go down and to prevent brain damage. A police detective arrives at the hospital and tells Nick and Sharon that it appears that someone hit Noah’s car and then ran away.

Kyle arrives in Los Angeles. Claire isn’t happy to see him. She tells him to go home. Kyle tells Claire that he understands what she has to do and he doesn’t want to get in her way. Kyle tells Claire that he will be in Los Angeles for a few days on business and he has taken a room at the same hotel where she is staying in case she changes her mind and wants to talk to him .

Sharon tells Nick that the Los Angeles Highway Patrol called and told her that Noah was driving a canyon road in Malibu when he lost control of his car and the car landed in a ravine. A nurse comes out and tells Nick and Sharon that Noah made it through surgery, but he has damage to his face and head.

Victoria tells Nate that she is worried about Holden being Claire’s tour guide in Los Angeles. Victoria also tells Nate that Noah was in a car accident and Nick went to Los Angeles to be with Noah and Sharon .

Holden is pulling out all the stops to impress Claire while they are in Los Angeles. Holden takes Claire to an exclusive club where his friend Sienna is the manager. Sienna wonders where Audra is and tells Holden that she is glad he isn’t with Audra anymore because Audra is trouble. Claire is determined to discover all of Holden’s secrets specially what mess he helped Audra get out of when they both lived in Los Angeles.

Kyle is determined to go to Los Angeles to protect Claire from Holden.

Jack and Diane advise Kyle not to go to Los Angeles because he might make things worse between him and Claire. Jack tells Kyle that Claire knows that Holden is only good for a causal relationship and that might be what she wants right now.

Jill talks to Sally on a video call and Jill tells Sally she will invest in Abbott Communications but only if she doesn’t tell Billy that she is the investor . Sally later tells Billy that Jill offered to invest in Abbott Communications but only if she didn’t tell him that she was the investor. Sally tells Billy that she had to tell him the truth because she didn’t want to start their business relationship with a lie. Billy wants to talk to Jill because he wants to see if she is investing for the right reasons. Sally asks Billy not to make her sorry she told him the truth about Jill’s investment in the company. Sally is worried that if Billy talks to Jill she will decide not to invest in the company.

Victor gives the okay for Newman Media to publish the article that says Collin conned a woman out of her money and used the money to help Cane start Arabesque. Lily is upset with Cane because the kids will be hurt by this article. Cane tells Lily and Jill that he had no idea that Collin conned a woman out of her money and then gave it to him to start Arabesque.

Jill tells Cane not to give up on his family and do something big to prove to them that he cares about them more than money or anything else.

Cane calls Phyllis and tells her that he needs to see her right away.

Nick is upset that Victor insists that he stay in town and not go to Los Angeles and visit Noah because the Newman’s need to work together to take on Cane.

Phyllis is worried that Daniel will be hurt by Tessa because she only wants to be friends with him since she loves Mariah. Daniel insists that he is fine being friends with Tessa.

Jack tells Diane that he intends to get the AI program from Jill and use it against Newman Enterprises. Diane thinks that is the perfect way to get revenge on Victor for all the pain he has caused the Abbott family.

Jill doesn’t believe that Colin conned an old woman out of her money and gave that money to Cane to start Arabesque. Jill wants to see the letters that Victor has as evidence of Collin’s last con.

Daniel and Tessa return from their trip and tell Sharon what they found out at the hotel where Mariah stayed on her business trip where she did something so horrible she had to go to Boston for intense therapy to help her heal from the trauma. Tessa and Daniel tell Sharon that they spoke to the bartender at the hotel bar who told them that Mariah got drunk and she met an older man and this man were intimate and then they went upstairs. Tessa did some research on the internet and found out that the man is named Will Hensley. The hotel desk clerk told Tessa and Daniel that Will left the hotel in such a hurry the next morning that he almost forgot his credit card. The desk clerk also told Daniel and Tessa that Mariah chose to leave the hotel with contactless check out and she didn’t go by the front desk. Tessa tells Sharon that before she left for Boston she told her she tried to kill someone. Tessa thinks that Will triggered memories of Ian since Will is the same height and build as Ian and that is why she tried to kill Will. Daniel worries that Mariah might be in danger because Will might try to retaliate against her because she almost killed him.

Jill refuses to believe Victor and Nikki when they both tell her that Cane is ruthless and wants to own all the companies in town and intends to use an AI program to get control of the companies. Jill thinks Cane is a good man and he isn’t trying to take over the companies in town.

Audra continues her heartfelt plea for Nate’s forgiveness. Nate tells Audra he can’t forgive her because he would always be wondering if she was lying to him. Amy tries to make Nate realize that people make mistakes and maybe, if he gives Audra another chance and they start over, maybe he can see if she has really changed.

Billy once again tells Jill that he is upset with her because she didn’t believe in him to run Abbott Chancellor and sold it to Victor. Billy leaves Jill. Cane tells Jill that Jack was right about what he told her that he was planning to take over all of the companies in Genoa City using an AI program. Cane tells Jill that he feels rejected by his family and friends so, if he can’t have them, he should at least have respect and power.

Sally persuades Audta to tell Nate how sorry she is about what she did and how much he means to her. Nate agrees to talk to Audra, and they go to the park. Audra tells Nate she is very sorry she lied to him and hurt him. Audra tells Nate there is a hole in her heart without him. Audra asks Nate if there is anything she can do to get his forgiveness.

Billy talks to Cane and tells him to stop his plan before he loses everyone that he loves. Billy tells Cane that Sally showed him that business isn’t worth losing the people that he loves. Cane agrees to try again to reconcile with his kids. Cane asks Billy to try and reconcile with Jill because he really hurt her when he got angry with her and stopped talking to her because she told Chancellor Industries back to Victor. Jill arrives and tells Billy that he really hurt her when he broke off their relationship because he is angry with her.

Kyle and Claire have an argument at the park because Kyle thinks Holden is going to try and make a move on her when they go to Los Angeles. Claire tells Kyle that she and Holden are just friends, and all that Holden is going to do is show her around Los Angeles. Claire is angry that Kyle thinks she is naive and can’t take care of herself. Kyle thinks Claire is going to get even with him for what happened with Audra in Nice. Kyle tells Claire that Victor would be proud of her. Claire tells Kyle that she hopes he knows how much damage he did to their relationship today.

Audra is listening to their argument and, when Claire leaves, Audra tells Kyle that she is going to ask Victor for the money he promised her since she was the reason for Claire and Kyle’s break up. Kyle dares Audra to go to Victor. Kyle tells Audra that if she goes to Victor he won’t stop until he destroys her and she will be sorry she ever met him.

Victor finally agrees to team up with Jack and Michael to bring down Cane.

Lauren asks Nikki to find out if Michael is working for Victor again. Nikki talks to Victor who doesn’t tell her anything about Michael. Nikki calls Lauren that Victor didn’t tell her anything, but she has a strong feeling that they are working together. Lauren confronts Michael and he tells her that he was going to spy on Cane for Victor but Cane decided nor to hire him. Lauren gets even angrier with Michael and tells him that he will never change.

Victor tells Cane that, if he teams up with him to take down Jabot, he can keep Jabot and all the other companies he owns. Cane tells Victor that, if he teams up with him, he wants Victor not to go public with the story that Colin stole the seed money for Arabesque from a rich older lady. Victor agrees to think about it and Cane agrees to think about teaming up with him.

Jack thinks he should team up with Victor to take Cane down, but Diane doesn’t think that is a good idea.

Jack, Diane, and Kyle talk later about Cane ‘s AI program and how dangerous it could be but they aren’t sure they can trust Billy to help them stop Cane.

Billy tells Sally that she was right all along that Cane’s plan is dangerous and he needs to be stopped. Billy asks Sally to forgive him because he loves her and he never should have taken her for granted.

Kyle tells Holden to stay away from Claire because he is a player who is trying to break up their relationship. Claire arrives and gets angry with Kyle for trying to control who she can have for friends.

Claire later talks to Holden in the park and tells her he doesn’t want her to think the worst of hm and that is why he doesn’t want to tell her what happened in Los Angeles with Audra. Claire tells Holden that nothing he can say can change her opinion of him. Holden tells Claire that he has feelings for her and he doesn’t want to hide it anymore.

Cane cancels the Abbott Communications launch party at Society so he can talk to Billy, Sally, and Phyllis alone. Cane has Phyllis explain to Billy and Sally that the AI program that he has can get inside any company’s financial records and make it go bankrupt. The program can also blame anyone it wants for the bankruptcy and then the program disappears from the computer. Cane tells Billy, Sally, and Phyllis that Victor is blackmailing him because he wants the program for himself. Cane tells Billy, Sally, and Phyllis he will give them the program so that they can take down Victor together but he has to keep his hands clean for the sake of his kids.

Tessa tells Daniel they should sing the song they wrote together at Danny and Christine ‘s wedding. Daniel doesn’t feel he is ready to share the song with anyone. Daniel thanks Tessa for writing the words she wrote for the song and he says the words to the song are beautiful just like her.

Mariah tells Tessa that she is going to Boston because her therapist thinks she needs more therapy. Mariah once again tells Tessa she is sorry for hurting her and Aria. Mariah finally tells Tessa that she tried to kill a man and she has been trying to deal with it.

Nick tells Phyllis to get away from Cane because the AI program is put into the computer system of any company and it takes all the money from the company until the company has no choice but to be sold to someone else to keep from going bankrupt. Nick tells Phyllis that he has consulted lawyers who told him that anyone involved in this scheme could spend ten years in prison. Phyllis agrees to spy on Cane for Nick and let him know everything Cane is doing. Kyle tells Claire that he signed a contract with Victor that if he broke her heart he would pay him five million dollars and leave Genoa City.

Kyle tells Claire that it was the only way he could think of to prove to Victor how much he loves her. Claire tells Kyle that she knows that he loves her but she needs time to decide if she can trust him.

Cane asks Michael to be his Fixer but Michael tells him he has retired. Cane shows Michael what his salary would be and Michael still refuses the job. Michael wants to know what Cane needs fixed but Cane doesn’t want to tell him the problem until he decides to take the job.

Nikki surprises Victor with a romantic evening showing him how special he is to her.
