Finn: I don’t want to spend another night apart. Steffy, this is killing me.

Steffy: Finn, this is killing me, too. I didn’t want this.

Finn: Then come home, okay? And we can work on this.

Steffy: I can’t–

Finn: Together.

Steffy: I can’t do that until I know sheila is no longer a threat. Until I know that you are not vulnerable to her anymore.

Finn: I’m not.

Steffy: I want to believe that.

Finn: Well, you should believe that because you are more important to me. I’m not going to let sheila come anywhere near to you or the kids, okay? Sheila is not the problem. Steffy, the truth is the person that’s coming between us, the real problem, it’s liam.

Ridge: I heard you and hope are getting a divorce.

Liam: Um, yeah.

Ridge: I’m sorry. I also heard that hope thinks steffy has a big part in that. That’s what I need to know. How you feel about my daughter.

Hope: So, how does the fabric feel? I mean, can you tell that it’s sustainable? Does it feel any different?

Skylar: Honestly, I can’t tell the difference.

Hope: Great. Okay. Can you give me a turn?

Rj: Beautiful.

Skylar: You don’t look too bad yourself.

Hope: Oh, hi, rj.

Rj: Hola.

Hope: Weird. Um, they’ll be expecting you in alterations. Thank you so much.

Rj: What alterations? I wouldn’t change a thing.

[ Hope clears throat ]

Hope: Are you sure you don’t want to be a designer because, I don’t know, you seem to work pretty well with the models.

Rj: I think I’m good doing what I’m doing now. Plus, I wouldn’t want to, you know, step on thomas’s toes. So, what’s going on between you two?

Rj: Yeah. Yeah. A lot’s happened since everybody got back home from rome. Mom and dad are back together. That’s crazy. And, uh, you and thomas are–

Hope: Working to build on the success of our preview.

Rj: Come on, I’m your brother, all right? You can talk to me about anything. I know that the reason why you and liam are ending your marriage has a lot to do with what happened with thomas in rome. You don’t have to talk about that, okay? I just want to talk about you and if you’re doing okay.

Ridge: I don’t want to put you on the spot. Maybe I do want to put you on the spot. You’re– you’re a father just like me. And right now my daughter is scared. Sheila’s running around and… finn, for whatever reason, he can’t cut the cord and now steffy has moved out of the house, she’s taken the kids and I guess I just want to– want to see what–

Liam: What are my intentions?

Ridge: Yeah.

Finn: Look, I’m not trying to excuse my behavior, okay? I know that I need to regain your trust, but liam, he’s the real threat to our marriage here.

Steffy: Finn, I moved out of our home because of sheila, not because of liam.

Finn: Because he admitted to my face that he’s still in love with you. That I have no idea what the two of you once shared. He still wants you back, steffy. But you… you deserve someone who treats you as their one and only. So, don’t let him back into your head, okay? Don’t let him come between us.

Hope: There’s really nothing more to say about liam and me.

Rj: So, you’re just going to give up? You’re not going to fight?

Hope: We already signed the papers.

Rj: Well, then tear them up. It’s not official yet. You don’t have to go through with this, hope.

Hope: You’re not understanding me. Like I said, it isn’t just one thing. It’s not just about my involvement with thomas. It’s also about liam and his unwillingness to fight for our relationship. His inability to forgive. I mean, his love for steffy.

Rj: What are you talking about?

Hope: Come on, rj. I mean, you know that steffy has always been a presence in our marriage and I– I tried to ignore it and just convinced myself that steffy was liam’s past and I was his future, but deep down, I think I always knew that liam would have feelings for steffy, and he probably always will.

Ridge: You know what I’m doing, right? I’m– I’m just protecting my daughter.

Liam: What do you know? I’m trying to do the same thing. That really is all I’m thinking about lately. Just how– how to protect steffy and kelly and hayes, too. It’s– it’s just wild to me. It’s really wild that– that finn has effectively invited sheila back into all our lives.

Ridge: Oh, that’s wild to me too.

Liam: And by the way– by the way, I never had an issue with him until this. It’s just when all this went down, I started thinking… how do I let him anywhere near my family?

Ridge: And we’re back to the original question.

Liam: Back to the original, right. How do I feel about steffy?

Ridge: She’s alone now. She left finn. So, what do you– thinking of reuniting? Is that what you want? You want her back?

Steffy: This is not about liam. This is about sheila and your inability to cut all ties with her.

Finn: Steffy, I will never allow sheila to hurt you or the kids. I’m not a threat because of her.

Steffy: You said that you have a connection to her, finn. Something you can’t even explain.

Finn: Well, she’s my birth mother, so it’s–

Steffy: I don’t care! I don’t care! She shot you. She shot me. She almost left our children without their parents. God, she’s an evil, disgusting woman. She’s terrorized my family. My god! Finn, do you think it was easy for me? Do you think it was easy for me to take the children and walk out the door and stay here with my grandfather? No, it was one of the hardest things I ever had to do.

Finn: Yeah, but steffy, you didn’t have to go. I was–

Steffy: I had no choice. They are my babies. And as their mother, it is my job to keep them safe. Sheila is a threat to our family. And you, obviously have conflicted feelings towards her. You can’t tell me that you don’T. So, I had to leave. I had to get out of that house, finn. That house, our home, I couldn’t stay there. The children are my first priority.

Rj: So, you really think that there’s no chance for you and liam?

Hope: I hate to say it, but I’m afraid not. Especially now that steffy has left finn.

Liam: I don’t really know how to answer that question. Okay. Do– okay. Do I view what’s happening between steffy and finn as some kind of, like, opening for me to– to– to move in on her? No. Categorically no. I– I– I hate that steffy is going through this though. And I’m angry with finn for– for putting steffy and her family in danger.

Ridge: Do you love her?

Liam: Yes, of course. Yes, of course, I love– yes, I love her and I’m always going to love her. And I– and I even– I told her that recently.

Ridge: You did?

Liam: So this– this whole thing, you know, it’s– it’s been scary for me too, right? Almost losing my daughter and sheila on the loose and I just– this– I was just letting steffy know that I’m– I’m around if she needs anything and– and– and I’m still going to do everything I can to protect her and… yeah, I love her.

Ridge: Finn is not going to like that.

Liam: No, he– he didn’t like it. He– he already knows. I– I told him. Um… I think you know this, I– I don’t have a poker face when it comes to steffy. I’m not– and I’m not– I don’t owe him hiding my feelings for her or anyone else, really. I just… she’s a remarkable woman, ridge. And she’s kelly’s mom. So, do I want her back? I mean, that’S… I don’t know how the hell I ever let her go.

Finn: It kills me.

[ Steffy sighing ] It kills me that you think that I’m a threat to the kids.

Steffy: I never wanted to feel this way, finn. I never thought I could. But it scares me. I’m– I’m terrified. I don’t– I don’t know what sheila’s going to do next. I feel like I can’t breathe sometimes. Like, I have so much anxiety. I just– like, do you even understand what I’m going through right now?

Finn: It’s exactly what I feel when I think about losing you and the kids.

Steffy: No, you don’t understand. Like, I– I lay in bed sometimes and if I hear the slightest noise, I go running to the children’s room, making sure that they’re okay. Making sure that sheila is not there trying to take them. Like I– I feel like I can– I can never let my guard down now knowing that she is out there. Have you seen her again?

Finn: Steffy, no.

Steffy: Has she reached out to you?

Finn: No!

Steffy: You know that she can’t be part of our lives again.

Finn: Steffy, I agree.

Steffy: Do you?

Finn: Yes, I agree. And I’m so sorry. I’m– I’m sorry for all of this. Honey, please. You got to forgive me.

Ridge: You want to know how you ever let her go? I can tell you that story.

Liam: Yeah, I know you can. She changed my life, you know. I mean, literally, she made me who I am. Kinda grew up together. She taught me a lot. She taught me to just kind of embrace the adventure. Like, it’s like, “it’s okay, liam. Like, you know, you don’t– you don’t always have to know exactly where you’re going all the time because half the fun is just… seeing where you land.” It was like… it was like we could see the life that we wanted in each other. It was intoxicating… just to be so desperately in love that– that nothing else mattered. And then, we learned something else. We learned what it’s like to hurt the one you love most. What it is to be hurt. Really hurt. We made mistakes, man. And still, the biggest one for me was– was– it was walking away. It was not trusting in the foundation that our love had built. I mean, I had this– I had this woman in my life and she was strong and she was smart and she was beautiful and she loved me… liam. And I walked away. I– I– I– I don’t know what’s going to happen, ridge. I– I don’t know how the story ends… but I know there’s no chapter ahead where I make that mistake again.

Ridge: Okay.

Steffy: Finn, I can see that you’re hurting… hate that I’m causing you pain. I never wanted to take the kids and bring them here but… I had no choice. I no longer felt safe there. Seeing you embracing sheila outside the judge’s chamber and then finding out what happened to kelly at the beach. Like, I– that was terrifying.

Finn: Look, I understand, okay? It was terrifying for me too, but thank god that kelly’s okay. I don’t know if I could live with myself if something happened to her. Steffy, you’re right. I was wrong to make sheila out to be some– some hero and ask you to cut her some slack. I was stupid.

Steffy: How could you ask me to do that?

Finn: I don’t know. I don’t know, I think I was just caught up in the emotion of it and the enormity of it, but it was wrong. Okay? And I’m sorry. But most importantly… I’m sorry for taking my eyes off kelly. You know, and that– that– that haunts me.

Steffy: But what about outside the judge’s chambers? You hugging sheila? Like, why– why… why did you– why did you do that? Do you want sheila to be free? Do you no longer think that she deserves to be in prison for the rest of her life?

Finn: Yeah, of course I think she needs to be in prison, steffy. And I– I can’t explain what happened in that moment. It’s just– something came over me, but you got to believe me and you got to know that that’ll never happen again. ‘Cause you– you are the– you’re the love of my life. You’re the love of my life and my world. My world was empty before you walked into it. And I’m so sorry for making you feel unsafe. But you just– you got to give me another chance, okay? You got to let me prove to you that you can count on me and that I’ll always put you and the kids first ’cause I miss you. And I miss our kids. I miss our family. And look, I know we were apart once before and I never want to be apart from you again. So please… can you come home?

Liam: So, uh, I have this, um… epiphany that I don’t have to deny my feelings for you anymore. Or our history. Something like that doesn’t just go away when I close my eyes, right? Yeah, I– I shared a life with Hope. We– we have an incredible daughter. Uh, and that is its own love story, but… sadly, it doesn’t seem like it’s going to work out. And– and I also know that things are really complicated for you and Finn right now and at the end of the day, I just– I just want you to be happy, whatever that looks like. I guess I– all I’m saying is… if I got another chance with you… if… I’d never let you go again.

Ridge: Come on, Finn. What’s going on? What are you thinking?

Finn: Ridge, it’s more complicated–

Ridge: Complicated? How is this complicated? This is the opposite of complicated. This is super simple. Some crazy lunatic tried to kill your wife. She almost killed you. And for some reason, you went out of your way to hug her after she got acquitted. It’s not complicated. It’s just dumb and I just– I don’t know. I thought you were smarter than that. Now, why would I think that? Maybe you’re not because you left a little girl on the beach. You turned your back on her, took a phone call. She almost drowned because of you. And– and now you– you’re sitting there and you wonder why your wife took the kids and left you? I’m not– I’m not wondering about that at all because it’s not complicated. It’s very simple.

Brooke: It’s absolutely gorgeous. It really adds to the collection.

Sloane: I agree. So exciting to be a part of Hope For The Future these days. The buzz is incredible.

Hope: Well, it has been a wild ride, that’s for sure.

Brooke: To put it mildly.

Sloane: No doubt you and Thomas make an incredible team.

Hope: All right, I sent the notes to alterations, so they should be expecting you.

Sloane: Sounds good. Thank you.

Hope: Don’t let what she said about me and Thomas, you know, get in your head. Doesn’t mean anything.

Brooke: Of course not.

Hope: Thank you.

Brooke: But I do have to ask, where do things stand between you and Thomas?

Hope: Well, I don’t think you have anything to worry about because my main focus is the success of my line.

Brooke: Yeah, I can see that. And you seem to be handling signing those divorce papers with Liam rather well.

Hope: It hasn’t been easy, Mom. But I’m just trying not to let it get me down.

Finn: I take full responsibility for what happened to Kelly at the beach, okay? You have no idea how guilty I feel about that.

Ridge: All right, take a breath. She’s okay.

Finn: Yeah.

Ridge: And you know better. You don’t turn your back on young kids on the– you know that, right?

Finn: I just… I screwed up. Horribly. And nothing like that will ever happen again. And when it comes to the courthouse with– with Sheila, I just… I don’t know, I just– something came over me and–

Ridge: All right. I understand part of that. I mean, look. She’s your birth mother. You have a connection. But you got to learn to step away from her. It can’t be a problem. Can’t be a problem for your life, for your family. Look what it’s doing to your relationship.

Finn: It’s a problem. But look, it can be solved, right? Between Steffy and me. You want to know what the real threat to my marriage is? It’s not just Sheila. It’s Liam… wanting to be with my wife.

Steffy: Liam, we’re always going to have a connection. I must admit though, I’m a bit shocked that you actually said that to Finn.

[ Liam laughing ]

Liam: Yeah. Well, wasn’t going to lie because I don’t think I’d be any good at it. Never had a great poker face when it came to you.

Steffy: Finn’s never going to stand by.

Liam: I know. And I don’t blame him because neither would I. Here’s what I’m saying. If given another chance… Steffy, I’d never take my eyes off you again.

Hope: I understand that Steffy moved out in order to protect her kids, but that is still a really big step to take.

Brooke: The threat of Sheila is too strong to ignore. Plus, what happened with Kelly almost drowning under Finn’s watch… Ridge was really upset.

Hope: Uh, yeah, I am not exactly surprised that he went to go confront Finn about that.

Brooke: I just hope it doesn’t make things worse between Steffy and Finn.

Ridge: So, you think Liam is responsible for what’s happening here?

Finn: He took a video of Sheila and me. Who does that? Someone looking to cause trouble did hdo with it? Did he– did he come ask me about it? No, he ran straight to Steffy and showed it to her.

Ridge: Maybe because he was concerned about her safety. Kelly’s safety.

Finn: Okay. Maybe that’s part of it, but Ridge, his ultimate goal is to undermine my marriage. It is. And I– I– I– I’m sorry that Liam and Hope’s relationship is falling apart, but that doesn’t give him the right to come make a play for my wife.

Ridge: I just had an idea. How about this? How about you take some responsibility? It’s nothing to do with Liam. It’s just everything to do– look at me! This has everything to do with you. You brought your birth mother back into the mix for whatever reason. That’s what pushed Steffy away. Not– nothing else. Wake up, get out of this little pity party you’re doing and try to fix whatever’s left of your marriage.

Steffy: Liam, I– I don’t know what to say. But we’re both married. You and Hope, you signed divorce papers. Yes, I’m– I’m separated from Finn, but that–

Liam: Hey, Steffy. This isn’t just some knee jerk reaction to the end of my marriage. It’s really not. I buried my feelings for a long time and not to pat myself on the back, but I buried them well. But I get to look at you now… freely, without my Hope goggles. And I can see the same strong, smart, beautiful, talented, charismatic force of a woman that I used to be able to see.

Steffy: Liam.

Liam: Why the hell did I let you go? Why did I do that? [ Chuckles ] I don’t know. And I don’t know what the future holds. I really don’t. All I’m saying is that if I ever got another chance, Steffy, I would hold you so tight and I would never let you go. I would make sure that you and Kelly and Hayes are safe and protected. I would make sure that you feel heard and respected… and know… that you are loved.

Hope: I completely understand why Ridge would go to Finn in defense of Steffy and her children. I mean, that’s his daughter. I mean, he– he’s a grandfather.

Brooke: Yeah, I– I love how Ridge protects his family. I just hope that he doesn’t push so hard that it makes it more difficult for Finn and Steffy to work things out.

Hope: Well, that’s always a risk, I suppose, but I mean, Mom, there was no stopping Ridge.

Brooke: And I can understand that. Finn cannot allow Sheila to get close to them or to any of us.

Hope: Well, guess now, Liam has also vowed to look after Steffy and the kids, so.

Brooke: Liam and Steffy do share a daughter together, so it makes sense that he would be concerned, especially after what happened at the beach.

Hope: No, and I– I don’t disagree. I– I– I think that’s a great thing. It just is another reminder that Liam is always going to be a part of Steffy’s life.

[ Liam sighing ]

[ Knocking on door ]

Ridge: Hey.

Liam: Hey. Uh, your timing is not the best. My dad is, uh, out of the office today.

Ridge: That makes my timing perfect because I don’t need to see your dad ever again.

[ Both laughing ]

Ridge: I’m here to see you.

Liam: Okay.

Ridge: Talked to Steffy. She told me what’s going on.

Liam: Oh, okay. So, she told you I’m a bit freaked out that Finn’s letting Sheila back in his head again. Here’s– here’s the thing for me. That hug at the courthouse, which I assume you know about.

Ridge: Yeah.

Liam: That sent a message to Sheila that directly impacts the safety of my daughter, so I– I don’t know what the hell he’s thinking.

Ridge: I asked him the same thing.

Liam: Maybe you got through to him.

Ridge: Maybe I did. We’ll see.

[ Steffy sighing ]

Liam: I don’t know what the future holds. I really don’t. If I got another chance at it, Steffy, I would hold you so tight and never let you go.

[ Knocking on door ]

Finn: Hey.

Steffy: Hi. I just– I needed to see you. Uh, you haven’t answered any of my calls, any of my texts. I’m worried, Steffy. And I– I missed you.

Steffy: I miss you too, but this is the best option for all of us.

Finn: Okay, look, there’s– there’s some things that I need you to hear, okay? So please for me, for us, for our family, would you just– will you just hear me out?

Liam: So, I take it, Finn wasn’t super open to your take on the matter.

Ridge: I don’t really care if he’s open or not. I said what I had to say. This is not about him. This is about Steffy being safe and she did the only thing that you could have done.

Liam: Yeah, I agree.

Ridge: It’s my daughter, my grandkids. Not going to sit here and pretend that they’re going to be safe in the house with Sheila sniffing around.

Liam: Yeah, this is– this is what’s driving me nuts. It’s not a mystery why Sheila is dangerous. Finn does not have to have this explained to him. And that the– this is why I took the video of Finn and Sheila at the courthouse because the fact of the matter is Steffy wouldn’t have believed it if she hadn’t seen that. I wouldn’t have believed it. And I get it. She’s– she’s his wife. She loves him. She wants to defend him at all costs. I just made this mistake, so I understand, but in this case, you know, we’re talking about an actual psychopath.

Ridge: That’s exactly what she is, and honestly, she should be in prison right now just rotting away and we’ll make that happen eventually, but right now, it’s about Steffy and her safety.

Liam: Yes. Uh, thankfully she got the kids out of there and she’s at Eric’s, so that’s good.

Ridge: That’s where she needs to be. Do– am I the only one that thought that Finn was smart? Because for some reason, he doesn’t think that he’s part of the problem. He thinks you’re the only problem because you’re trying to destroy his relationship.

Liam: Yeah, I, uh, I know he thinks that.

Ridge: Oh.

Liam: Listen, if there’s anything I can do to help, I– I’m here, you know.

Ridge: Thank you.

Liam: You shouldn’t have to thank me, I’m family.

Ridge: Can I ask you something?

Liam: Uh-oh.

Ridge: No, it’s fine. How do you feel about my daughter? Really?

Steffy: Sorry I haven’t responded. Just… I don’t know what to say.

Finn: Look, I understand and I, uh… I respect your decision. I just couldn’t stay away any longer. I had to see you. How are the kids?

Steffy: They have no idea what’s going on. They think they’re just here spending time with their great-grandfather.

Finn: I miss them a lot and… I miss you.

Steffy: I won’t put my kids in danger. Not when Sheila is out there. I will protect them.

Finn: Steffy, you know I would never let anything happen to the kids.

Steffy: I know you want to believe that.

Finn: It’s true. I mean, do you have any idea what this is doing to me?

Steffy: I’m suffering, too. Our family’s torn apart.

Finn: I know. I’m sorry. And it just… yeah, this is– this has been hell for both of us. But look, Steffy, we got to work together, okay? We have to fix this.

Steffy: You need to accept that we’re in this place because of Sheila.

Finn: You– you’re right. You’re absolutely right. It’s my fault. I know that you don’t want me to have anything to do with Sheila and you have every right to be concerned and on guard, but this, Steffy? This, living here away from me… that’s not only about Sheila, it’s about someone else, too. Your ex-husband. Honey, Liam is trying to get in your head and take advantage of the situation to get you back and I’m not going to let him. I’m not going to let him suck you back into all that. I’m going to fight for our marriage and I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure that he doesn’t destroy our family. I’m never going to stop fighting.  I’m never going to give up because I love you too much to ever let you go. And I can see that you still love me, too. I can see it in those eyes. I’m not going to let Liam interfere in our marriage. I will not lose you, Steffy.

Liam: You can’t tell me how to protect my family, finn.

Finn: Steffy is not your family.

Liam: Yes, she is. She really, really is. We have a daughter together. You– you’re the one who just said we share this history. I’m not denying that. That history runs deep.

Finn: She’s my wife.

Liam: Yes, and me respecting that fact is not the same as me respecting you putting my daughter in danger. So, I’m asking myself, how am i supposed to trust you with her? I don’t know that you will keep sheila away from her and steffy agrees.

Finn: Yeah, and steffy and I, we’re going to work through that together as a family. So, I’m warning you, liam, you need to stay away from my wife.

Steffy: Based on these numbers, we’re still reaping the benefits of the hope for the future preview. Rome was definitely money well spent.

Ridge: Well, katie and her team did a real good job promoting it.

Steffy: Yeah. Have to make sure to thank her. She’s doing a lot of hard work.

[ Steffy sighing ]

Ridge: You think it was the right choice coming to the office?

Steffy: No, it is. It is. It’s a– it’s a good distraction.

Ridge: Taking the kids away from finn was very difficult, I’m sure.

Steffy: Yeah. Feels like my heart is just ripped out of my chest. I’m just running on adrenaline.

Ridge: Yes. But you know, you– you did the right thing moving to dad’s house, right? Kids are safe.

Steffy: Saw all the beefed up security downstairs. Thank you for that.

Ridge: Sheila’s a real threat and I know how you protect your kids. I’d do the same.

Steffy: I appreciate everything you’re doing, dad.

Ridge: You know you’re loved, right? I will always be here for you.

Steffy: Thank you, dad. I feel good at granddad’s, I really do. And I know the children will be safe there.

Ridge: You can count on it.

Steffy: All right. Let’s get to work.

Brooke: The interview was amazing.

Hope: I know, a five-page spread.

Ridge: Hey.

Hope: Hi. I’m sorry, we didn’t– we didn’t realize that you would be in today.

Steffy: Why not?

Hope: Well, we just assume with, you know, everything that’s happening with sheila that you might want to work from home.

Steffy: Well, I can’t hide from the world forever. Life goes on.

Brooke: Uh, it seems like we might be interrupting something, so we can just come back.

Hope: Is– is everything okay? Are you okay?

Steffy: Well, you might as well know what’s going on. It’s going to get out eventually.

Brooke: What?

Steffy: I’ve taken the kids and I’ve moved into my grandfather’s house.

Hope: S– so, what does this mean exactly? You left finn?

Liam: Look, I get it. I know it’s got to hurt with steffy and the kids away.

Finna: Got to hurt? Liam, you have no idea how much I love steffy.

Liam: I actually do. I know a lot about loving steffy. (Buzz) we’re such great friends we should have a nickname,

Hope: I can’t believe that sheila saved kelly.

Brooke: What was sheila doing at the beach in the first place?

Steffy: Finn says he doesn’t know. He said it wasn’t planned or anything.

Ridge: It doesn’t matter if it was planned or not. She always finds a way back into his life.

Steffy: And my daughter’s life. Look, I’ll do whatever I can to protect them. That’s why I left and went to my grandfather’S.

Hope: But why do you feel like you have to protect them from finn? I mean, he’s your husband. That’s hayes’s father. You don’t actually think that he would hurt them, do you?

Steffy: Not intentionally, hope, but you didn’t see the video. He was clinging on to sheila like he did not want to let go. And then what happened yesterday with my daughter at the beach? My god.

Brooke: Well, glad she’s okay. I can only imagine what she must be feeling.

Steffy: It kills me to say this, but I don’t think I can trust finn to keep sheila away from us. Everything that’s happened recently, I just– I can’T.

Ridge: You’re doing the right thing.

Steffy: Oh, I am. I will do everything I can to protect kelly and hayes.

Brooke: And you have to think about protecting yourself too. Sheila did shoot you and shoot her own son.

Steffy: That’s why this is so confusing. Finn said he has this weird connection to sheila. I– I don’t know how she’s done it. I– I don’t know after everything she’s done to us, it’s like she’s gotten in his head.

Brooke: She is his birth mother, so maybe there’s some sort of natural innate draw to her.

Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, it breaks my heart.

Ridge: It doesn’t matter what the draw is. It puts all of us in danger and we can’t have that.

Finn: You know all about loving steffy? You better watch your mouth. You know what? You don’t know anything about true love. All right, you take advantage, and if you think I’m going to just sit back while you try to destroy my family–

Liam: Finn, steffy and i were a family once, too. We share a daughter together. We were very much in love. Now, those feelings evolve, but they don’t just magically disappear.

Finn: Man, you have an ego! You’re talking about my wife.

Liam: Okay. Whether you believe it or not, this is not about me breaking up you and steffy. This is about me protecting my family and yes, steffy is a part of my family.

Finn: I don’t believe for a second that this is about safety. You want steffy back. Your marriage to hope is imploding, so you’re doing what you always do. You’re running back to steffy. That’s why you took the video of sheila. I mean, you showed it to her.

Liam: No, I showed her the video so that she could make an informed decision, yes, about the safety of our daught– dude, you had your arms around the psychopath who tried to murder your wife, the mother of your child. This– this– this is the same woman th telling me to stay away from? Where are your priorities? If– if the roles were reversed, would you have kept quiet? Honestly? Would you? Would you keep that to yourself?

Finn: Liam, this has been going on. You’ve been trying to make steffy feel sorry for you ever since hope started making eyes at thomas. So don’t give me any of this.

Liam: You know what? I give up. I don’t care. All right, I’m not going to convince you. I don’t care what you think. I had no issue with you at all until I witnessed, with my own eyes, this connection between you and sheila, okay? Just why is this so hard for you? Just admit that you messed up! That’s it! You didn’t just embrace sheila physically. You embraced her emotionally and that choice put my daughter and steffy and yes, even your own son in jeopardy. Why would I let you continue to do that? (Vo) crabfest is back at red lobster.

Hope: This is shocking. I mean, you and finn, you seem so solid.

Steffy: Yeah, that’s how I felt. At least until sheila came back into the picture. Sheila, being finn’s birth mother, I mean, it has been difficult. Whether I wanted to admit it or not. You know, it’s been an obstacle for us. That didn’t mean I– I didn’t love him and want to be with him. This whole situation just kills me.

Ridge: Well, moving out was necessary. You did what you had to do.

Steffy: Yeah.

Brooke: I understand your feelings, but finn is your husband and he must be devastated.

Steffy: Oh, he is devastated. And so am I. He’s a wonderful father. He’s an incredible man. And like I said, I– I love him. That– that hasn’t changed.

Ridge: Okay, but there’s still this– this weakness when it comes to his mother. He can’t stay away from her.

Steffy: Yeah, I know, it’s terrifying.

Brooke: She is a sociopath, a master manipulator.

Ridge: And a threat to all of us and we will deal with this in our way, but right now I got to take care of my family, my kids, my grandkids and that means no contact with sheila. No hugging outside the courtroom. I gotta make sure your husband knows that. Excuse me.

[ Door shutting ]

Hope: Steffy, I’m– I’m so sorry that you’re having to go through this. I mean, I know a little bit about what it feels like when your entire life implodes and, um, I mean, I know liam must be worried about you and kelly.

Steffy: Yeah, he’s fiercely protective of kelly. But just to be clear, I– I… my decision to leave finn has nothing to do with liam. Okay?

Hope: Okay. But I mean, you also have to know that if it really is over between you and finn, that liam will probably be waiting there in the wings.

Finn: It– it is just so obvious that you’re trying to sabotage my relationship with steffy, but guess what, liam? You’re forgetting one thing, she loves me. She loves our family. She won’t walk away from that.

Liam: Finn, I know she loves you. But guess what? She loves her children more than anything and she can’t trust you right now. Why would she? You put her and everything that she cares about at risk because you refuse to walk away from this sick connection you have to sheila.

Finn: You need to hear me. I am not going to allow you to take my family away from me. You need to stay away from steffy.

Liam: Finn, I am hearing you, but steffy is kelly’s mother. I’m not walking away, I’m sorry.

Finn: You are so unbelievable. See, you– you– you act all righteous and honorable, but you are so– you are so toxic. You’re blatantly using my birth mother as a way to manipulate my wife against me.

Liam: Okay. All right. Here’s– here’s what I’m using, finn. I’m using the truth and the truth is you can’t be trusted right now. That’s a fact. And on top of everything else, you put my daughter at risk. Kelly almost drowned because of you.

Finn: I’m a doctor, liam. I save lives every day. No one’s more conscientious than me. And guess what? Kelly’s okay. She’s fine. So stop using what happened at the beach as an excuse to go after my wife. You are not going to have a future with steffy. I won’t allow it.

Liam: How about this? You never saw what steffy and I had. You weren’t around. So, how would you know? But it was extraordinary and I gave it up.

Finn: Yeah. Yeah, you did. And she’s so much better for it. I’m not going to allow you… to take steffy away from me. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me. I’ve been waiting for someone like her my whole life. So, any idea that you have, any thought of a future with her, you need to put that out of your mind. I won’t let it happen. (Rebecca) this can’t be real. that in the past, hearing that from steffy probably would have sent me into a tailspin worrying about how liam would react and what it would mean for our marriage, but I have to say, it is a relief not to be bogged down in that drama now.

Brooke: You say that like you don’t care that your marriage is coming to an end.

Hope: Of course, I care, mom. I never wanted this for myself or for my children, but I also can’t live in regret. I have to move forward. I have to be excited about something, like my line. I have so many new ideas, like I– I want to change the messaging and really capitalize off of the success of rome.

Brooke: And what if liam wants to be with steffy?

Hope: Well, I think you and I both know it’s not going to be that easy. There is no way finn is going to give up his marriage without a fight.

Finn: Come on, steffy. Come on, why aren’t you texting me back?

[ Knocking on door ]

[ Door clicks open ]

Ridge: I talked to someone at the nurse’s station. They told me where to find you.

Finn: Look, ridge, I know why you’re here and you can just– you can save your breath. You’re not going to tell me anything I haven’t already heard.

Ridge: Let’s find out, shall we? I trusted you with my daughter’s happiness and with her safety, and you failed on both counts, so, um, it’s a problem for me.

Liam: Okay, well, I’ll add it to the list of problems I’m dealing with right now.

Ridge: Explain something to me. You– you’re sitting there with a little bit of an attitude and I don’t get it. You created this problem. You let sheila back into your life. You put a little girl in danger. So, what’s going on with you? What are you doing?

Steffy: Thanks, donna. One scoop. Don’t let them talk you into any more.

[ Engine revving ]

Liam: Hey.

Steffy: Hi.

Liam: Uh, door was open. Also, I– I just saw donna leaving with the kids.

Steffy: Oh, no, I totally forgot that you wanted to take kelly this afternoon.

Liam: No, no. It’s okay. It’s okay. You got a lot on your mind. Um, also, uh, gives us a chance to chat. I– um, I just had a visit from finn.

Steffy: What happened?

Liam: No, it’s– it’s– it’s all right, it’s okay. Uh, no blood was shed, I promise. Uh, the only reason I bring it up is because I said something to him and I just– I– I think you should probably know about it.

Steffy: Look, I know that you’re determined to protect me, kelly, and hayes and I appreciate that but–

Liam: No, yeah, of course, I’m– I’m going to do everything in my power to– to make sure all of you are safe. And I told finn as much, but that’s not– that’s not all I said. Um…

[ Laughs ] I told him because it’s true… that I love you and I know a lot about loving you because I spent most of my adult life in love with you. I mean, we made a beautiful, smart, inquisitive little girl out of that love and you don’t– you don’t just forget a love like that. I know I haven’T. And if I had to bet, I would say you haven’t either… because it’s in you. I mean, it– it becomes a part of your dna. And… I’m a part of you, you’re a part of me. I– I don’t– I don’t think that’s ever going to change. Here’s– here’s what I’m saying. I want you to know that I know I was a fool to let you go. Steffy: Hayes fell asleep right away. Kelly wanted to play all night.

Eric: Well, I’m very happy they’re enjoying this art project outside so much.

Steffy: Yeah, enjoying a beautiful day outside. Thank you so much for everything, granddad.

Eric: Of course. You and the kids are welcomed here anytime you want. I love having you here. I just wish it was under better circumstances. You don’t have to explain those circumstances to me until your dad gets here, but I just– I want you to know that you and the kids are safe here anytime you want. This is your home, too.

Steffy: Thank you.

Ridge: Hey, you two.

Steffy: Hi.

Eric: Ridge, hey. We’re having a coffee. You want some?

Ridge: I’m okay. My daughter summoned me, so here I am. What’s up?

Steffy: Okay, there’s– uh, there’s something I wanted to fill you in on. Something happened that you don’t know about. Look, the bottom line is, the kids and I are going to be living here for a while.

Finn: Who’s the brilliant artist?

Kelly: Me. I drew it to make you come home. I missed you, finn.

[ Finn sighing ]

Finn: You’re leaving?

Steffy: I’m gonna stay

at my grandfather’S.

I need to know that the kids

are gonna be safe from sheila.

Finn: Nothing is more

Rj: Hey.

Finn: Rj.

Rj: What’s up? How are you? I was, uh– I was just headed to paradise cove, so I thought I’d stop by and, uh, say hi to you and steffy and the kids. Are they around?

Finn: Uh, no. No, they’re not.

Rj: Okay. Are they down by the beach or something? I was thinking maybe later we could go grab some lunch, if you– if you’re interested.

Finn: They’re gone, rj. They left.

Wyatt: I can’t believe kelly almost drowned. I mean, I’m– I’m– I’m so glad she’s okay. I– I just– I’m sorry this happened to you, man.

Liam: You– this happened or that finn allowed it to happen?

Wyatt: Why would he take his eyes off her at the beach?

Liam: I don’t know, man. I don’t– I don’t even know. Could you imagine how terrified she was, though? Like, if we had lo– if we had lost her that day–

Wyatt: I don’t even want to think about that. Just thank god finn was there. He realized and then–

Liam: Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. No, no, no, no, no. No, wasn’t finn. No, wasn’t finn. It was sheila. Yeah. Sheila pulled my daughter out of the water.

Rj: Finn, what do you mean that they’re gone? I thought because of the whole sheila situation, you decided to keep the kids home from– from camp, right? Until you found a new nanny?

Finn: Yeah, that– that was the plan.

Rj: Well, hey, I don’t mind entertaining them. I’m– I’m free, you know, if you need help with anything. I know you guys are up to your ears with work and everything else.

Finn: She’s going to have plenty of help at her granddad’s house. That’s where steffy went after she took the kids and left.

Rj: She… left? And you’re saying she, like, she walked out on you? Why? What happened? Why would my sister do something like that?

Finn: Because of liam.

Liam: Yep. Yep. Apparently, sheila was at the beach that day and she got to kelly first.

Wyatt: What? Was she sunbathing? I don’t understand. Why was she there?

Liam: I think you know the answer to that.

Wyatt: Of course. Finn.

Ridge: So, you’re moving in here? Okay. Why?

Steffy: I left finn. I had to get the kids out of the house as fast as possible.

Eric: I saw how upset you were last night, but I had no idea it was something this big.

Steffy: I couldn’t stay there, granddad. It was too dangerous.

Ridge: Because of sheila? What happened?

Zyrtec!

Rj: Kelly’s my niece. She could have died. It was your job to keep her safe, finn.

Finn: I know, okay? And there’s no way that I can apologize enough. I am horrified about what could have happened.

Rj: Now, I see why steffy was so upset. That’s her little girl, you know? Is– is this why she walked out on you? Is this why?

Finn: I wasn’t the one who saved kelly.

Rj: Well, who did?

Finn: Sheila. My mother saved kelly’s life.

Wyatt: Wow. I mean, this– this– this whole situation is crazy. Look, I’m glad kelly’s okay. That’s the most important thing here, but see, this– this proves that sheila’s just not going to stay away.

Liam: Oh, yeah. Oh, no, 100%. She’s barely, barely out of jail, and she’s already stalking finn and my daughter.

Wyatt: Yeah, I mean, look, I’m glad– I’m glad steffy made the decision to finally take the kids and get away because that’s just– honestly, that’s the right thing to do here.

Liam: Yeah, no, the kids– the kids are okay. They’re going to be safe at eric’s, which is really, you know, all I care about.

Wyatt: Yeah.

Liam: But whether finn wants to admit it or not, he is– he is a magnet for sheila, especially after hugging her, you know, like, sending that message. Now, she’s really gonna– she’s not gonna give up on being in his life. And– and so, thankfully, steffy and I are on the same page now. There’s– there’s no way we’re letting that monster anywhere near our family.

Ridge: What was finn thinking?

Eric: Wait, he– he took his eyes off kelly for a phone call?

Steffy: Finn is horrified about what happened, and thank god kelly is okay. But that’s only a part of the story. Finn didn’t save kelly.

Ridge: What do you mean?

Steffy: Sheila was there.

Ridge: What– what do you mean sheila was there?

Steffy: Sheila rescued kelly. Finn swears he had no idea that she was there.

Ridge: But she was there? She was watching them?

Steffy: I– I guess. I don’t know. I’m still trying to process all of it. I– I can’t believe that my daughter is alive because of sheila, that awful human being who tried to kill me and the people that I love. And after everything that happened, finn is actually defending sheila. He says that I should cut that psychopath some slack.

Eric: Cut her some slack?

Steffy: He called sheila his mother. Look, I– I love my husband. I– I really do, but he admits, he admits that he has a connection to his birth mother. And honestly, I don’t think it’s ever going to go away. After everything sheila has done to me and my family, I just… I can’t live with that.

The thought of getting screened

Rj: Well, thank god she’s okay. It could have been a lot different, finn.

Finn: I know, okay? It was all my fault. I keep seeing it play over and over in my mind. It’s terrifying.

Rj: Well, the fact that sheila was involved– yeah, I understand why steffy walked out.

Finn: Yeah, well, liam? He’s stoking it. He’s using the fact that sheila’s my birth mom to try and break up my marriage.

Rj: Finn, what are you talking about?

Finn: How did you even know

about that? You weren’t there.

Steffy: Liam told me.

Finn: Liam told you?

Steffy: He followed you.

He saw you and sheila together.

Finn: So he just–

he told you everything?

I mean, he must have loved

Steffy: He didn’t just

Finn: Liam has it out for me. He wants steffy back, so he’s doing everything he can to undermine my marriage to your sister. I’m not going to let him get away with it.

Wyatt: You and steffy seem to be a united front when it comes to sheila.

Liam: Why you got to– why you got to do that? Why you got to make it sound like that’s a– a surprise?

Wyatt: I’m not surprised. I’m just– I’m happy. But, uh, what about, uh, finn? Does steffy feel the same way that you do about her husband?

Liam: Obviously, steffy and my number one priority is keeping the kids safe. And obviously, finn has proven he’s not capable of helping us do that, so.

Wyatt: Right, but, dude, you got to admit that things are a little complicated here with your feelings, right? You– you kissed steffy twice. Once back in rome, and then recently when you got back to L.A.

Liam: Yeah, there’s– yes, there’s a lot of history there. And– and I will continue to love steffy very much, which I have been honest with you about.

Wyatt: Okay.

Liam: But god’s honest truth, man, I’m not– I wasn’t– I really wasn’t trying to break up their marriage. It was just a– it was a moment, you know? And I even– I– I told steffy, like, I will never do that again.

Wyatt: Fact of the matter is, she still walked out on finn, so there’s that.

Liam: Okay, yeah, but, bro, the whole situation is different now. I mean, like, new information came out, right? So for me, I’m just– I’m, like, tunnel vision. I’m laser focused on– on– on keeping steffy and kelly and hayes safe.

Wyatt: Right. And I get that. But, dude, I’m just saying, maybe deep down, somewhere, you realize there’s an opportunity here that you could possibly reunite with steffy.

Eric: Sweetheart, I’m sorry you’re having to go through all this. I am. I’m so glad that kelly’s okay. All right?

Steffy: Yeah.

Eric: You can stay here as long as you need to. I love you. And selfishly, I’m very glad to have you here under– under my roof.

Steffy: Thank you. And I love you, too. I feel safe here.

Eric: I’ll make sure that you have everything you need. I’ll give you two some time alone, and, uh, I’ll let the staff know you’re going to be staying. Okay.

Steffy: Yeah. So afraid for my children. The thought of kelly losing–

Steffy: I appreciate that, but I think you want to stay close to brooke.

Ridge: No. Kids are more important. She would understand that. She would do the same for her children.

Steffy: I really appreciate the offer, but I’m– I’m fine. I’m just emotionally gutted right now. My head is spinning. Everything’s just moving so quickly.

Ridge: You know finn’s going to hear from me, right?

Steffy: Yeah.

Ridge: How does he take his eyes off his daughter at the beach? How do you do that?

Steffy: Look, dad, there’s something else you need to know. I didn’t want to say it in front of granddad. I just… okay, when– when sheila was released, when she walked out of the courtroom, finn followed her and… he embraced her.

Ridge: He did what?

Steffy: He hugged sheila, his mother.

Ridge: And you know that how? You saw it? He– he told you?

Steffy: No, liam did. Liam took a video of it and he showed me. He said he was picking up this weird vibe from finn in the judge’s chambers. And when finn left, liam followed. And that’s when he saw finn and sheila.

Ridge: Hugging.

Steffy: Yeah. I– I wanted to believe in my husband. I– I really did. Like, there was some kind of explanation.

Ridge: How do you explain that? How?

Steffy: I don’t know. I don’t know. After what happened with kelly at the beach, I– I don’t know how I’m supposed to trust my husband. With finn, sheila’s always going to be part of our lives.

Ridge: I’m sorry.

Steffy: Yeah. Me, too.

Ridge: What happens now?

Finn: I know what you’re doing.

Liam: What’s that? Looking out for my daughter and her mother because you can’t?

Finn: No, no, believe me, I can take care of my family just fine.

Liam: Really, finn? Really? Because you almost got my daughter killed. She was about to drown. Steffy and I would have lost her because of you.

Finn: I know, okay? Believe me. No one feels worse about what happened than I do.

Liam: Okay. So, what do you– what do you want from me? Like, am I supposed to feel gratitude toward your psychopath mother for this? Like, what?

Finn: Sheila has done terrible things. Believe me, okay? I know firsthand. But she is the reason why kelly’s alive.

Liam: Finn. Do you– do you hear yours– the woman shot you. She shot you! She shot your wife! And you’re still– you’re still here defending her. I mean, you’re– you’re even embracing her physically.

Finn: See, the– there it is. There it is, liam. Exactly. You took that video and you didn’t come confront me about it. No, you ran straight to steffy and showed it to her, didn’t you, you little puke? I know what you want, liam.

Liam: Yeah, I’m– I’m– I’m sure you do. What I want is for steffy to have all the information so she can start making decisions to protect our kids.

Finn: That’s not the only reason! We both know that. Your marriage to hope is ending, but that does not give you the right to just cycle back and make a play for my wife and try and interfere with my marriage.

Liam: Finn, all due respect, you are doing this on your own and at least steffy has taken the kids somewhere safe.

Finn: Steffy and i love each other. We’re committed to each other. And like before, we’re gonna do whatever it takes to get over whatever obstacles come our way together. You think that you have, like, this– this in with her and this– this– this history, and you exploit that! But that’s all it is, liam. It’s ancient history. She’s with a real man now and I’m not going to let you interfere with my marriage, so you need to stay away from steffy. You need to stay away from my wife!

Hope: I do know that and I do agree, but I just don’t know what you are trying to get at right now.

Brooke: I just don’t feel that this divorce is something that you really want.

Hope: Ah. Well, we signed the papers. I– I don’t know what else you want me to tell you, Mom. Liam and I were at an impasse.

Brooke: Honey, so what? You just throw your arms up in the air and say, “that’s it?” You just give up? Just like that, jump in bed with some other guy? Come on, Hope. You have a family. You’ve gotta fight for that family. You have children.

Hope: Mom–

Brooke: This isn’t all about you.

Hope: I know that. I know all of that, Mom. And you’re right. This hasn’t been all about me, has it? Liam has always allowed Steffy to be a part of it. That’s part of the issue, Mom, and– and I’ve allowed it and I’m just tired because I don’t want to feel like I’m sharing him or his love anymore. I’m sure it’s the same way you felt about Ridge and Taylor and I don’t want that for my life, okay? It’s just about me and what I am willing to tolerate and the kind of example I want to set for my kids and, hey Mom, if I am the new It Girl of fashion, well then… this It Girl doesn’t want to come second anymore to anyone.

Finn: Wait, you just– you have to understand. I have no idea Sheila was even there in that moment. When I saw her holding Kelly in the water, all that mattered was that little girl, all right? I didn’t care who was doing the saving, I just wanted to make sure that Kelly was safe.

Li: That’s not hard for me to comprehend, Finn. Kelly is your step-daughter.

Finn: So, is it so wrong for me to be grateful to Sheila for getting swept up in the moment and calling her Mom?

Li: Of course it was. You can never call her that. And how can you ask Steffy to cut Sheila some slack. I don’t blame Steffy for taking the kids and leaving.

Steffy: What a big day for them. Hayes is already dozing off, but our girl, Kelly, yeah, she’s– she’s begging to play another game.

Liam: Yeah, well, I’m sure the adrenaline hasn’t worn off yet. When it does though…

Steffy: I’m gonna let her sleep in tomorrow. I may have to bribe her with those pancakes at a certain point to get up.

[ Liam chuckling ]

Liam: Well, if I recall correctly, those pancakes are worth getting up for at any hour.

Steffy: Yeah.

Liam: I bet Eric’s really happy you and his grandkids are here.

Steffy: Yeah. Yeah. It’ll be nice for them to spend time with their great-grandfather. You know, I can tell when you have to say something.

[ Liam chuckling ]

Liam: Yeah, I should know better by now. Uh, it’s not– it’s just– um… all right, fine. I’m a little shocked that you actually did it. You took the kids and you left.

Steffy: I didn’t want to do it, Liam. I didn’t wanna pull the kids out of their home. But, I no longer feel that their safe there and I had no choice. Finn’s too vulnerable to Sheila.

Brooke: You are saying things are over between you and Liam, so where does that leave you and Thomas?

Hope: Oh, I don’t know, Mom. I’m just trying to concentrate on work.

Brooke: Hope.

Hope: What? I really am. I’m just trying to ride this wave of excitement and enthusiasm for Hope For The Future.

Brooke: With your lead designer.

Hope: Hey, um, what can I tell you, Mom? When I’m with Thomas, I don’t have to question that I am his everything and I cannot even tell you how good that feels. After years of feeling like– like I’m not enough for Liam. Years of having to beg for reassurance that his feelings weren’t divided and now? I just– I feel… free and I’m not saying this to disparage Liam, to say that he’s not a bad guy or that he doesn’t love me, I’m not saying any of that. I’m just– I don’t wanna be a part of it anymore.

Finn: You don’t blame Steffy for leaving me? How could you say that?

Li: I understand why Steffy felt she needed to protect her kids. Unfortunately, that meant leaving her home and you.

Finn: I’ve asked for your support, Mom.

Li: I won’t coddle you. Your wife wants to feel safe and protected. Finn, you’ve done just the opposite.

Finn: What? So, I’m not allowed to say one word in support of Sheila? I mean, she saved Kelly’s life.

Li: What? Are we supposed to forget everything because Sheila was in the right place at the right time? Finn, she shot you and Steffy and she tried to kill me as well. Steffy has very strong maternal instincts. She will do anything to protect Kelly and Hayes. What happened at that beach, outside the Judge’s chamber, Finn, it could never happen again. Not if you want to regain your wife’s trust.

Finn: My marriage can withstand Sheila and Liam. We’re strong enough.

Li: Don’t be a fool. Finn, honey, do not underestimate what is happening here. Steffy walked out! She left you because you made some terrible choices. But, I still think there’s hope. This is not the end. You will reunite with Steffy.

[ Finn sighing ]

Steffy: Leaving my home, walking out on Finn, I never thought that this could be a possibility, but I had to get the children out of there. As we know, Sheila could strike at any moment.

Liam: No, you absolutely did the right thing. I’ve been so concerned about all of you, but this is– this is– this is good. I mean, you guys are gonna be safer here. Eric’s already amped up security, plus everybody in this house has your best interest at heart.

Steffy: Yeah.

Liam: That includes me, by the way. I’m gonna do everything I can to keep you and the kids safe, so.

Hope: I’m just stating a fact. Steffy has always played a big part in our marriage and I don’t know, maybe I– maybe I brought it on with my insecurities or some kind of self-fulfilling prophecy, but whatever it is, I just– I don’t want to be a part of it anymore. And right now, I have never felt more energized or alive, and quite frankly, I don’t even have the time to compete over someone’s affections, whether it’s with Steffy or anyone else, so.

Brooke: Oh, wow. Okay. I can understand why you don’t want love advice from me. I– I do, Hope. Sure, go ahead, you can get a divorce, but if you love somebody as much as I know you love Liam, you need to fight. You need to persevere.

Steffy: Oh!

Finn: Honey, I’m alive.

[ Bells tolling ]

Finn: We lost each other once. I’m not gonna let that happen again.

Steffy: Finn has always put the kids and me first. I hate that I’m even speaking poorly of my husband. I’ve always been able to trust him implicitly. Especially after everything we’ve been through. It made us closer, it made us stronger. That’s why his– his recent encounter with Sheila is so, so hurtful. She tried to take us away from our kids, our– our family. Like, what the hell was he doing? What the hell was he doing embracing her? How am I supposed to trust him now? Not to mention, our daughter almost drowned on his watch. Do you know what Finn actually said to me? He said that I should cut Sheila some slack.

Liam: Oh, boy.

Steffy: Yeah.

Liam: Well, I’m sorry you’re going through this, having to doubt your own husband, but your feelings are valid and for what it’s worth, I’m just as shocked about Finn as you are. Just, hey. Just know something. I’m here and you get to lean on me because I’m not going anywhere, okay?

At Spencer Publications, Liam is struggling to focus on work due to memories of his past with Steffy. Meanwhile, at the beach house, Finn apologizes to Steffy for the incident involving Sheila and pleads with her not to leave. Steffy expresses her concern about Finn’s ability to keep Sheila away from their family, and tension arises between them. Deacon and Sheila revel in their newfound freedom and share intimate moments together.

Later, Finn confides in his mother, Li, about Steffy walking out on him. He reveals that Steffy was upset about him suggesting to cut Sheila some slack and also about him hugging Sheila after her release from jail. Steffy and Liam meet at the Forrester mansion, where Steffy tells Liam about Kelly’s near-death experience at the beach and how Sheila seemingly saved her. Liam becomes angry and insists on not letting Finn be alone with Kelly. Steffy agrees and decides to move in with Eric for the time being.

In the end, Liam reassures Kelly of his love and promises to keep her safe, leading to an emotional moment of shared embrace between Liam, Steffy, and Kelly.

Deacon: Oh, god. That was, uh, that was insane.

Deacon: I really hated seeing you locked up, but I gotta admit, I’m not sorry to get all this pent up passion.

Liam: You know how I feel about you and kelly. I’m not– I’m not gonna sit back and put your safety at risk while finn tries to figure out his relationship with his birth mom. I love kelly way too much to put her in harm’s way and I know we’re not together, but I love you too, you know.

Steffy: Liam, hey.

Finn: You have to see what’s going on here, steffy. Liam is trying to destroy our marriage. That’s why he showed you the video of me hugging sheila. He wants you back. Don’t let him do that to us! Don’t let him erode your faith and your trust in me!

Steffy: You did that, finn. You did that. You can’t blame liam. He’s just trying to protect me and kelly. It breaks my heart, but we can’t stay in this house with you, so I am leaving, I am taking the kids, we are going to my grandfather’s where we will be more safe. I am leaving. Now. When it comes to your hair, ingredients matter.

Deacon: Only you, sheila. Only you could’ve bested bill spencer. I– I mean that guy did everything he could, everything, to make sure you spent the rest of your life behind bars.

Sheila: Yeah, well don’t remind me.

Deacon: And you got off on a technicality.

Sheila: You know, let’s– let’s not talk about that. Let’s just think of us in our cozy little hideaway and me on the road to a life back with my son.

Deacon: I just think it’s a lot to assume that you can wash away all your sins with one cleansing act in the ocean, but I should probably learn by now not to–

Liam: Hey, steffy? Hey. I, uh, I got your text to come see you right away. What– are you– you okay?

Steffy: Something happened today. Something you need to know.

Liam: Okay. Does it have to do with sheila?

Steffy: With kelly. When she was at the beach today, she, um… she got pulled out by the ocean and she, uh, she almost drowned.

[ Phone ringing ] Then, I got a call. A work call about a patient and I couldn’t hear very well. And… I took my eyes of kelly for a moment.

Li: You weren’t watching kelly?

Finn: No. I heard her suddenly and she was out there, way out there in the waters.

Li: Oh, my god. Finn!

Finn: She was trying to keep her head up and she was screaming my name.

Li: Oh, my god.

Finn: No, but then I– I raced to her.

Li: Wait, finn, no– is kelly okay?

Finn: Yeah, no, no, yes. She’s okay, thank god.

Li: Then you saved her.

Finn: No. Um… I didn’T. Someone else did.

Li: Who?

Finn: Sheila.

Li: What do you mean? Sheila was there?

Finn: Yeah.

Li: But why?

Finn: All that matters is that kelly’s all right.

Li: Because of sheila?

Liam: Oh, my god. Is kelly okay? Where is she right now?

Steffy: She’s– she’s in the other room. She’s fine. But look– look, I don’t– I don’t want to upset her. I don’t want her to dwell on it, okay?

[ Finn sighing ] I just, I– I– I admit– I was just so… I was so grateful that kelly was all right that I… I defended sheila and I– I told her that she should maybe cut her some slack.

Finn: Well, she pulled her from the ocean. I mean, she saved kelly’s life.

Li: What are you saying, finn? Are you suddenly seeing sheila differently now? Is she no longer that crazy lunatic that tried to kill you? And steffy? And me?

Finn: No, mom.

Li: Is this what you’re telling me?

Finn: All I’m saying is that we could’ve lost kelly today if it weren’t for sheila. I mean, how could I not be grateful for that?

Finn: At sheila’s hearing, after she was released, I saw her outside the judge’s chambers and she was no longer handcuffed and… she hugged me.

Li: You embraced that monster? And steffy knows this?

Finn: Yeah.

Li: No wonder she left you.

Liam: So– so sheila was just there at the beach?

Steffy: Yeah, pretty much.

Liam: Wh– okay, so– so– so, like what? She just appeared in the water? Like, how did finn not even see her approach?

Steffy: He had to take a work call and he… he turned his back on our daughter.

Liam: Wait. You’re telling me finn thought he was alone with our daughter at the beach and he still walked away from her to make a phone call? He shouldn’t have turned his back on her for a second.

Steffy: I know, I know. I’m just as upset as you are.

Liam: She could’ve drowned, steffy.

Steffy: Finn said it all happened so fast.

Liam: I don’t care. He had one job and that’s to protect kelly, to keep her safe. It’s the beach, for god’s sake.

Steffy: I know. I get that. I confronted him about it. And I also confronted him about what happened outside the judge’s chambers.

Liam: Okay, well, so… so what? Did he– did he cop to hugging sheila?

Steffy: Yeah.

Liam: Did he have an explanation for himself? Like, what did he say?

Steffy: No. None of it really makes sense. He doesn’t understand why it happened. He just knows that he wasn’T… he wasn’t hugging sheila. He was hugging the woman who gave birth to him.

Liam: Oh– oh, sure. The woman who gave birth to him and also tried to kill him and tried to kill you and tried to kill his adoptive mother. Like, do I need to write a list?

Steffy: I can’t hear this anymore. I– I can’T. This has already been a really tough day.

Liam: Yeah, I’m– I’m– I’m so– I’m sorry. You’re right. But, between you and me, what could’ve happened today.

Steffy: I know, but kelly’s okay. She’s fine. Kelly and hayes are safe, okay?

Liam: I don’t– I don’t– I’m sorry. I don’t think I want finn alone with kelly anymore. I mean, today proved that man to man, I can’t trust him to protect my daughter and he was already a liability to her safety because of this– this twisted connection he has with sheila.

Steffy: You’re right. I mean, that’s why– that’s why we’re here. I told finn that it doesn’t feel safe for me and the kids to be around him, so we packed up our stuff and we came here. We’re living here now.

Liam: What are you saying, steffy? Did you leave finn?

Steffy: Yeah.

[ Steffy sighing ]

Liam: Hey! Hi!

Kelly: Daddy, look what I drew.

Liam: Wow! That’s awesome!

Kelly: Why are you crying, mommy?

Steffy: Oh, no, I’m, uh– I’m just– mommy and daddy are really grateful that you’re okay.

Deacon: I need to get back to the restaurant. It’s not gonna run itself. Hey, um, I’m not so sure you should stay here.

Deacon: I think you gotta leave town. Today.

Wyatt: We could plaster her face all over the cover of eye on fashion. Warn everybody that that lunatic is on the loose.

Liam: I mean, listen, the– the– the press is gonna catch onto it eventually anyway and I’m sure it’s already all over social media– you know what? This doesn’t matter. This doesn’t matter. She’s free. She can do whatever she wants and there’s nothing anybody can do about it, so cheers to that.

Wyatt: Hey, hey, hey. I’m concerned about steffy, kelly and hayes here too, okay? I get it.

Liam: Because you’re a rational, ethical person and there’s every reason to be concerned.

Wyatt: Exactly, but I still have to ask you one more time, how much of this is about you wanting to get steffy back?

Deacon: Don’t you think finn and his family would be better off–

Sheila: Oh, wait, wait. Better off if I hadn’t shown up at the beach today? Better off if I didn’t save kelly’s life? No. No way. I am meant to be here. I’ve known that all along and today proved it. What happened today was a miracle, deacon. A miracle that is going to give me a second chance with my son.

Liam: Wyatt, sheila is dangerous. My family’s at risk.

Wyatt: I completely agree. This is a tough situation and we’ve got to be on our guard.

Liam: Okay, but the risk to steffy and kelly, it’s not in my head. It’s real.

Wyatt: 100%. I know that and I get that, but there is a lot more going on here. Can’t you see that? Just admit it. Just tell me that you want another shot with steffy.

Finn: I– I don’t know why I embraced sheila, okay? That’s the truth. It’s not something that I intended, okay? It’s not something that I thought through. It’s just that– in the moment, she wasn’t sheila carter. She wasn’t the woman that has caused so much damage to you and– and to us. She was just– she was my mother. She was just the woman who gave birth to me. I’m not gonna deny that. It doesn’t make any sense. It doesn’t make any sense at all, but I’m not gonna deny that. I’m not gonna make any excuses. It did, okay? It did happen.

Steffy: And you’re… you’re fine with that. You’re fine that you crossed that line?

Finn: It’s not something that I thought I was gonna need to explain or something that I even… think I could, but… how did you even know about that? You weren’t there.

Steffy: No, finn. I was in the judge’s chambers freaking out that sheila was about to be released.

Finn: Yeah, but how did you find out?

Steffy: Doesn’t matter.

Finn: It doesn’t matter. Well, it matters to me.

Steffy: Liam told me.

Steffy: He followed you. He saw you and sheila together.

Wyatt: Look, I’m not trying to make you feel uncomfortable or guilty here. Hell, I– dude, I don’t even feel like you did anything wrong. I just want a straight answer out of you.

Liam: Oh, my god! You want a straight answer? Really? Do I want steffy?

Wyatt: Yeah.

Finn: Liam’s involved? How?

Steffy: He decided to follow you when you left the chamber. He said he was picking up a weird vibe from you during the hearing.

Finn: This guy has it out for me, steffy, now that he’s left hope. You have to see that.

Steffy: He saw you hugging sheila! He didn’t just make it up.

Finn: No, but he ran to you at the first opportunity he could with this information.

Steffy: What is he supposed to do? Keep it from me? Kelly’s safety is at risk. He’s worried about us.

Finn: Yeah, well, we don’t need his worry. I can protect my own family.

Steffy: Oh, really? Really? Because it seems like sheila is stalking you and my daughter.

Finn: Oh, so he just– he told you everything? I mean, he must have loved doing that.

Steffy: He didn’t just tell me, finn. He showed me.

Finn: He showed– what are you talking about?

Steffy: He recorded it on his phone.

Finn: Oh, my– he recorded me? He recorded me? Of course, he recorded me. This– it is so obvious what he’s doing. Steffy, this is what he does. He wants you back. He’s trying to destroy our marriage.

Steffy: What are you talking about? He’s thinking about kelly. He’s concerned about her. He’s trying to protect us, keep us safe, finn.

Finn: From me. You think that you need to be protected from me. I’m barbara and I’m fromst. Joseph, michigan.

Deacon: You should be proud of yourself. You saved a life. I’m just saying, maybe you shouldn’t press your luck.

Sheila: I’m not going anywhere, deacon.

Deacon: That’s your call. I care about you, sheila. I do. I should probably get my head examined, but you just can’t stay here. I’ve got a relationship right now with brooke and with hope and it’s good and I have worked hard to have that, and if I associate with you, I could lose everything, including the restaurant.

Sheila: I– I understand.

Deacon: I’m happy for you. I want you to enjoy your new found freedom. You just can’t do it here.

Sheila: I get it. You and me, it’s– it’s complicated. But are you 100% sure with your decision?

[ Clothes dropping ]

[ Deacon chuckling ] I see you didn’t get rid of all my things.

Deacon: You really think that’s gonna work?

Sheila: Oh, yeah. I think it’s definitely going to work, daddy.

[ Liam sighing ]

Liam: Look, o– okay. All right. Okay, just… what– what happened in rome, you don’t get it, man. It– it was so unexpected. I mean, seeing… seeing hope kissing thomas in front of the colosseum, it was– it was confusing. It was devastating.

Wyatt: Sure, sure. And then you ran into steffy, right?

Liam: Wyatt, I was still reeling, you know? Before anything even started to make any sense, there she was, beautiful as ever. Mother of my child. I mean, this is someone that I have loved more than I ever thought possible. And yeah, and– you know, in that moment, especially given what I’d just seen, I started to feel like losing steffy was the worst mistake of my life and it– and it– I don’t know. It just took over. It just happened. I kissed her. The problem is… I haven’t been able to stop thinking about that kiss ever since.

Steffy: I hate this, finn. I hate this whole situation. I hate that bill’s stupid plan backfired and sheila is just roaming free. I feel like I’m in this constant state of vigilance. I’m never gonna be able to let my guard down. I hate what happened to my daughter today. I know it was a mistake. I know how much you love her, but my god, what a mistake it could’ve been.

Finn: Yeah, but it wasn’t, steffy, because my mother–

Steffy: Because of your mother. That’s what I hate most of all. I hate that sheila is your mother. She feels like she has this claim to you and through you, has some claim to my family.

Finn: She’s a part of me.

Steffy: Oh, my god. No, she is not. That is not true.

Finn: It is true. She loves me. She gave birth to me.

Steffy: She’s not capable of loving, finn. You know that. But I don’t have faith that you do anymore.

Finn: Steffy, please don’t say that. Look, you can have faith in me. Honey, look at me. You know how much I love you. You know how much I love our family. This? This is about liam. He’s manipulating you, steffy, against me. He’s showing you videos of me hugging sheila.

Steffy: You hugged sheila after she was released. There’s no explaining that away.

Finn: Yeah, I hugged sheila. Yeah, I’m grateful she saved kelly’s life, but liam? He should’ve never gotten involved. You know what? I don’t care that this is kelly’s home. I don’t want him in our house again.

Steffy: Well, I don’t think you’re gonna have to worry about that now.

Finn: What is that supposed to mean?

Steffy: Finn, I love you… but I can’t have the children here. I can’T. Not when you’re so vulnerable to sheila. My first priority and always will be protecting kelly and hayes. So, I’m taking the children and I’m leaving. Moving forward with node- positive breast cancer

Sheila: I’ve got so much burning inside of me that I want to share with you.

Deacon: Being locked up in a jail cell will do that to you.

Sheila: Come on, deacon. Come on. Mama wants her big daddy.

Liam: You got me. You got me, all right? I admit it. That moment in rome, kissing steffy… I just– I keep replaying it in my head over and over again and I… how could I not?

Wyatt: Hey, man. I get it.

Liam: But wyatt, you gotta believe me that that is not where my head’s at right now. The most important thing is kelly and yes, steffy’s well-being. And finn can’t keep them safe.

Finn: You’re– you’re leaving?

Steffy: I’m gonna stay at my grandfather’S. I need to know that the kids are gonna be safe from sheila.

Finn: Please, steffy. Don’t do this, okay? I’m sorry for what happened to kelly at the beach today, all right? And I’m sorry for hugging sheila outside the judge’s chambers. You’re right, okay? I shouldn’t have done that. I don’t know why I did. Just something overcame me.

Steffy: That’s what scares me. You have this connection to her that you can’t even explain. How am I supposed to trust that you’re not gonna give into her again?

Finn: You can trust me. You can trust in my love for you and the children.

Steffy: I wanna believe that, I really do, but I– I can’T. I can’t live this way. Not– not when you have these, like, feelings towards her.

Finn: Look, she’s my birth mother, okay? I was drawn to her in the moment. It’s not gonna happen again.

Steffy: I can’t take that chance. I’m sorry.

Finn: You can’t take that chance? You’re overreacting.

Steffy: I’m overreacting? I’m overreacting! How can you say that after everything sheila has done to us? She tried to take you and me away from our children. You know what? I– I’m leaving. I– I gotta pack–

Finn: Steffy, you wanna know something? This is not– this is about, liam, steffy.

Finn: This is what he does, okay? He puts these doubts in your mind.

Steffy: Oh, my god.

Finn: No, listen to me. I’m not blind. Now that his marriage to hope is falling apart, so now, of course, he wants you.

Steffy: Finn, this has nothing to do with liam.

Finn: Steffy, you are– you’re my whole world. I’ll protect you.

Steffy: Finn, I fell in love with you. We were building our life together and then I found out that sheila was your birth mother. Birth mother from hell.

Steffy: You can’t promise that. You cannot promise that. Sheila will find a way to see you and you said yourself that you have this– this need, this– this kind of connection to her.

Finn: No. Nothing, nothing is more important to me than you and our children. I love you. You have to believe that. Please, steffy. Don’T… don’t take the kids, okay? Don’t– don’t– I’m begging you, please, don’t walk out the door.

Steffy: What do you mean sheila saved kelly’s life? What was she doing anywhere near her?

Finn: I was– I was distracted. I was on a phone call with my nurse about my patient and that’s when– that’s when kelly–

Steffy: Was pulled out into the ocean? She almost drowned?

Finn: Yeah. That’s when I made the biggest mistake of my life and I took my eyes off her. She was screaming my name and then–

Steffy: Oh, my god.

Finn: Then that’s when sheila ran into the water and thank god for my mom because sheila saved kelly’s life.

Wyatt: I can’t believe that you showed steffy a video of finn hugging his psychopathic birth mother and she didn’t even blink an eye?

Liam: No, she blinked. There– there was blinking.

Wyatt: So, you’re–

Liam: I’m saying instinctively, she’s gonna wanna defend her husband, right? So, now I– I– I don’t know what to do.

Wyatt: Well, there’s gotta be a way to convince her that– that finn can’t be trusted. I mean, he clearly has a connection to that lunatic.

Liam: I know, but steffy wants to trust him. She wants to give him the benefit of the doubt. Now…

[ Liam chuckling ] Finn is gonna find out I’m not so generous.

Sheila: Oh.

Deacon: Here. You okay? It’s hot.

Sheila: Thank you. Ooh. Yeah, I think I’m just a little bit in shock.

Deacon: Well, you did something pretty amazing today. You saved steffy’s daughter.

Sheila: It all happened so fast and I… I didn’t even think. I just knew I had to act.

Deacon: Thank god you did because it doesn’t always end this way when it comes to kids and water. This could’ve been a very different story if you hadn’t been there.

Sheila: You know, finn, he… he only looked away for a minute. He was horrified when– when he saw what happened.

Deacon: Horrified, but grateful to you, his mother, for being there.

[ Sheila chuckling ]

Sheila: He has to know, right? I mean, he really has to know how much I love him and that I would do anything for him and his family.

Deacon: You know who you are? You are a hero. Truly. There’s no other word to describe it.

[ Sheila chuckling ]

Sheila: I did what anybody would’ve done.

Deacon: I don’t know about that. It was pretty selfless. I mean, you could’ve been pulled out of that undertow too. You may have just pulled off a miracle. Come up with a way to prove to finn that you deserve to be in his life.

Sheila: That’s– that’s not what I was trying to do. All I was thinking about was kelly and her safety and that precious, little girl, she’s a part of finn’s family, which means she’s part of my family too. I– I treasure them. Steffy and hayes too. They mean everything in the world to me. I’ve been given a second chance at freedom. I– I can– I can do this. I know I can be a– a good force in– in finn’s life. I can make that happen.

Wyatt: Sheila’s not gonna give up. I’m telling you, bro. She’s– she’s gonna keep coming and coming after steffy and finn and those kids and– and everyone knows about her twisted, insatiable need to be loved.

Liam: Yeah, and right now, she wants that love from finn.

Wyatt: Yeah. I mean, you– you gotta do something about this. I’m serious.

Liam: I intend to do something– okay, first of all, steffy can’t turn a blind eye forever, right? Secondly, what finn did was messed up and not normal and I’m not just gonna let it go because steffy asked me too. I mean, this could put all of them in danger, including my daughter.

Steffy: My baby could’ve drowned. Oh, my– oh, my god. I think I might be sick.

Finn: I know. It makes me sick too. And look, I just– I turned my back for a second.

Steffy: You never, ever turn your back on a child at the water! You know that!

Finn: I know that, I know that, and it was– it was stupid and– and– and it was careless, right? But you need to believe me, honey. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if anything happened to her, but nothing did happen to her, steffy. Look, she’s safe, okay? She’s all right and she’s in her room.

Steffy: Because of sheila.

Finn: Yes. And look, I know how you feel about my mother, rightfully so, but look, she saved kelly today. How can I not be anything but grateful for that? So maybe, you should just cut her some slack. Martial arts is my passion.

Deacon: I could– I could only imagine how finn felt seeing kelly out there in the water helpless.

Sheila: If anything had happened to her, he never would have forgiven himself.

Deacon: You were there.

Sheila: Yeah. He called me “mom.”

Deacon: What?

Sheila: Yeah, when he– when he thanked me for saving kelly’s life, he called me mom. Yeah, after everything, I just… I never thought that my heart could– could ever feel this full.

Deacon: I remember– I remember the moment that I finally felt that hope acknowledged and accepted me. It’s incredible, isn’t it?

Sheila: That love. I mean, kelly even asked him if I was his really his mother and finn told her yes, that I was his mother. That’s a moment that I am never gonna forget. I, suddenly– the past, all the terrible mistakes I made, they just didn’t matter. I was– I was just a mom. That’s it. I wasn’t a monster and I wasn’t feared. I was just a mother and that’s all I’ve ever wanted to be.

Liam: I understand steffy’s desire to defend her husband. She doesn’t wanna think that finn is vulnerable to somebody as– as sick and twisted and dangerous as sheila, but even when I showed her the video of them hugging, she still kinda, like, made excuses for him.

Wyatt: Okay, well then, you gotta keep trying, man. The stakes are way too high right now.

Liam: We agree. I’m gonna– I’m gonna keep trying. I can’t trust finn right now just as a stepfather. Like, I don’t care if he’s married to steffy.

Wyatt: Right. And– and that– that has nothing to do with this, right? 100%?

Liam: The– what?

Wyatt: The fact that finn and steffy are married and that you might be having feelings for her again.

Liam: I’m not trying to undermine steffy’s marriage. Yes, of course, I– I care about her. I’m always gonna look out for her, want her to be safe, but this is about my daughter living under that roof, right? And if finn is putting her at risk, I’m not backing down.

Steffy: You want me to cut sheila some slack?

Finn: I know you’re horrified about what could’ve happened and I am too. It’s terrifying thinking about kelly–

Steffy: Kelly drowning all alone?

Finn: Look, I’m never gonna be able to get those screams out of my mind and I am sorry. Steffy, I am so sorry.

Steffy: I know you are.

Finn: I am. I’m sorry, but we just– we need to keep reminding ourselves that kelly, she is all right and the fact that sheila was there was a miracle. I mean, she’s– she’s a hero.

Steffy: A hero?

Finn: I mean, yeah, if we’re being realistic.

Steffy: Realistic? Because of sheila, kelly almost lost her mother. Hayes almost lost both of his parents. Sheila, your hero, was willing to let us die after shooting us. Have you forgotten?

Finn: No, I haven’t– I– all I care about at this point is that kelly is here. She’s with us. We can still hold her. We can read her a bedtime story tonight. What could have happened, didn’T. Sheila prevented it. Okay, today, sheila saved a life. Hey, it’s me…your skin.

Wyatt: Okay, I’m just pointing out here. You even said yourself, right? You’ve never had an issue with finn before this.

Liam: Yeah, no, right. Which is why it’s ridiculous to think I have some ulterior motive showing steffy the video. I’m protecting my daughter.

Wyatt: Okay. And you don’t think finn would deliberately do anything to hurt kelly?

Liam: No. No. No, no, no. Of course not. But he is susceptible to sheila, who we all know is a master manipulator, so like, what if, right? What if he lets his guard down? What if he lets her in more? I’m just saying, I’m not gonna ignore what I saw. I love kelly and steffy too much to let any harm come to them by sheila.

Deacon: Well, it’s obvious how much what happened– that it means to you.

Sheila: Yeah. I suddenly feel like I can start over. That it’s not just a possibility, but a reality. It can happen.

Deacon: Okay, okay, slow down, all right? Look, I get what a big impact this has had on you.

Sheila: And on finn too.

Deacon: And finn. I got it, okay? I just don’t want you to get your hopes up. Sheila, steffy might not see it that way.

Sheila: Oh, well, she should. You know, I– I saved her daughter’s life. If it weren’t for me, kelly would’ve drowned. She’d be gone. She’s– she’s gotta be thankful for that, right? She’s gotta be thankful to me.

Steffy: Are you hearing yourself?

Finn: I know. Look, steffy. Like it or not, my mom saved kelly today–

Steffy: Oh, stop calling her your mother. My gosh. I can’t believe you’re saying these things and what was sheila doing at the beach anyway?

Finn: I don’t– I don’t know. She was just there, but thank god she was.

Steffy: Oh, so she was stalking my daughter and you?

Finn: She wasn’t stalking anyone.

[ Steffy scoffing ] Look, kelly, she’s gonna be able to grow up and have a life because of sheila.

Steffy: Oh, my god. Are you tired of clean clothes that just don’t smell clean?

Deacon: You expect steffy to thank you?

Sheila: You think that’s too much to ask for?

Deacon: Um, yeah, maybe, if you look at it from her perspective. I mean, you were lurking on the beach.

Sheila: I wasn’t lurking.

Deacon: Okay, you were “watching” from a distance. You know, I mean– never supposed to go near any of them, none of them, yet, there you are.

Sheila: And it’s a good thing that I did or kelly would be gone.

Deacon: Okay, agreed. That’s true. You– you did something wonderful, you should be proud of yourself. You did something selfless, right? Maybe you should keep doing that?

Sheila: What are you talking about?

Deacon: Being selfless. Just stay away from steffy, hayes, kelly and finn.

Sheila: What are you saying? Are you saying that I should just walk away? You’re out of your mind.

Wyatt: Did you just hear yourself there? “I love kelly and steffy.”

Liam: Oh, no. No, no. You know what I meant.

Wyatt: I know what you meant and I also know that you kissed steffy twice and then you told me about it. I also know that you have information that could potentially jeopardize her relationship with finn, okay? Look, I’m not telling you you shouldn’t have told steffy about finn hugging that psycho. That’s information you shouldn’t keep from her, but I am asking you this. You need to be honest with yourself right now, okay? How much of this is you wanting to protect steffy and kelly and how much of it is actually you wanting to get back with steffy?

Steffy: Finn, whatever happened at the beach today is still sheila. She has terrorized my family for years. She hurts people.

Finn: I know, but not today, steffy. Today, she saved your daughter. Look, she saved me. I mean, I– I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I let kelly drown. She saved me today as much as much as she saved kelly.

Steffy: Do you remember when she tried to take your life? How long do you think she watched you in the alley? Did she call for help? No. No, finn. She didn’T. She just walked away. That’s not someone you just call a hero or cut someone some slack.

Finn: Well, you weren’t there. You didn’t hear kelly screaming out my name and thank god that my mother did because she rescued kelly from the water. Steffy, I took her, still breathing, still alive, out of my mother’s arms. She gave her back to me, back to us. She gave— she gave me a second chance to do better because of my mistake, my stupid mistake of taking my eyes off of kelly and putting her in danger. It didn’t cost kelly her life and it didn’t cost me my mine because I don’t know how I would be able face myself. How would I even be able to go on knowing that happened on my watch? But kelly is okay. She’s alive and that is all that matters and she’s alive because–

Steffy: Because of sheila.

Finn: Yeah. Yeah.

Steffy: Did you thank her?

Finn: Did I thank her? Yeah, of course I thanked her. How could I not?

Steffy: Did you… embrace her?

Finn: At the beach? What? No. I– I–

Steffy: What about somewhere else?

Finn: What are you talking about?

Steffy: I found something else out today. Something I… I didn’t want to believe. After the hearing in the judge’s chamber, when we heard that bill’s plan backfired and sheila was released to terrorize our family again, you disappeared.

Finn: Why are– why are you bringing this up?

Steffy: I wondered where you went. You said you had to take care of a patient. You just left out the fact that that patient was sheila. You saw her after she was released. She was emotional, euphoric. Do you feel the same? She embraced you. And you embraced her back, didn’t you?

Finn: Yeah. Yeah, I did. I– I embraced her. I embraced sheila.

Steffy: We almost lost kelly today! We almost lost her! Everything, after everything sheila has done to our family, how she’s terrorized us, you want me, you want me to be grateful to her? God, we agreed, we agreed to keep that lunatic out of our lives for good and yet, you just admitted, you just admitted it. Oh, my god. You wrapped your arms around sheila. You hugged her! Your mother! How could you– how could you do this? How am I supposed to ever trust you again?

Finn: You saved her. Mom, you saved kelly’s life. Thank you. Mom, thank you so much.

Steffy: Finn’s not getting back to me. Straight to voicemail again. Yeah, the service can be a little spotty down at the beach.

Liam: Yeah.

Steffy: I know you wanted to spend the day with kelly, and she was excited to have her daddy daughter date, too.

Liam: Well, yeah, I mean, I figured I– I could maybe steal her away for a little bit. Just with everything going on, I feel like that’s more important than ever, you know. Maybe we go to venice, maybe we’d ride some bikes, check out the street art, visit that, uh, the ice cream shop. You know, the one on abbot kinney.

Steffy: Yeah, yeah. You know our girl.

Liam: Yeah.

Steffy: I– I am sorry that this is taking longer than I expected. Finn knows that you guys have plans.

Liam: I mean, it’s fine. It’s just– well, normally it would be fine, but–

[ Liam sighing ] Listen, I’ve always trusted finn to watch kelly. Like, you know that. Like, I’ve never had a problem with him taking her, but– but now, I don’t know, it feels a little different. Like, having seen him get all cozy with sheila, I just– now, I don’t feel like I can trust his judgment and if I can’t trust his judgment, how can I trust him to protect kelly from sheila? It’s like a whole thing.

Deacon: Okay. [ Sighing ]

Sheila: I’m going to see my son because somehow, some way, I’m going to convince him that– that I can be a positive force in his life. And his family’S.

Deacon: It’s going to take a miracle to make that happen.

[ Deacon sighing ]

Steffy: I still can’t believe sheila has been released.

Liam: I know. Tell me about it. Honestly, I’m still– I’m still just processing that. Like, I really thought that uld be put away for life, and now it’s like, oh, yeah, everything that my dad worked so hard for months to accomplish just backfired.

Steffy: Yeah, I’m surprised the court didn’t warn us that this was even an option.

Liam: I know.

Steffy: Sheila shot me. She shot her own son. It’s crazy that they’re just letting her loose.

Liam: Yeah, and now we’re right back to, you know, security guards at the house, security guards at work, cameras everywhere.

Steffy: I can’t– I really– I really can’t do it. I– I can’t talk about sheila anymore. We all know how dangerous she is. I just can’t think of her just taking over my entire life.

Liam: No, I– I understand, and– and– and I agree. We can’t do that, right? We can’t let, like, our whole existence become about sheila. It’s just– I just wish– I just wish I knew that– that–

Steffy: Kelly is safe. I know. I know.

Liam: Yeah, because– ’cause sheila’s not rational. Right? She’s not logical. She’s like, we have to treat her like a wild animal. And– and she’s proven over and over again how dangerous she is. And now what, she just– she just walks the streets, like, as she pleases?

Steffy: Liam, I promise you, nothing is going to happen to kelly, okay? I love my children and I will do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

Liam: I know you will. You’re an incredible mother. I trust you implicitly. That is not the issue. My issue right now is this– this thing going on with finn, whatever it is.

Steffy: Finn is a loving, attentive father. He loves kelly as if she were his own.

Liam: I–

Steffy: He wants to protect her as much as I do.

Liam: I know, I’m saying that is what I did believe. And now, after seeing him embrace sheila, I mean, he’s clear– he clearly has some feelings about his mom that he’s not dealing with and I worry that it could impact his judgment right now. I don’t know what’s going on with him. Maybe it’s just biological. Maybe there’s something inside of him that he can’t– it doesn’t ma– whatever the explanation is, I, as kelly’s dad, can’t in good conscience put my trust in him. Right? What’s my number one job? It’s to take care of kelly and her mother. I love kelly. I also love you. That’s not going to change, steffy.

Sheila: You don’t need to thank me. I’m just glad that I was here. But kelly is A… just precious little girl.

Finn: Yeah, she is. And I am… I am incredibly grateful, more than you will ever know. But you need to keep your distance. And I can’t see you.

Sheila: I’m just glad you’re okay. But next time you’re next to the water, you be very careful, sweetheart.

Kelly: Thank you again. Four delicious pieces of chocolate.

[ Phone buzzing ]

Steffy: You need to take that?

Liam: It’s the office. Honestly, I’m not going– I’m not going to worry about it. If it’s that important, wyatt’ll take care of it.

Steffy: Hey.

Liam: Yeah?

Steffy: Kelly’s fine. I know you’re concerned about finn being vulnerable to sheila, but you–

Liam: Well, there– well, there isn’t really a but here. I mean, sheila is a murderous psychopath. She’s a murderous psychopath who happens to be obsessed with my daughter’s stepfather. And you– you know firsthand what she’s capable of.

Steffy: Yeah, I– I do. And I don’t– I don’t want to think about it. She almost took finn away from me and my family. She cost– she cost me years apart from my mother. I’m done thinking about it.

Liam: Okay, well, then you– but then you understand why I’m so concerned.

Steffy: Okay, but we are talking about my husband. And yes, I– I did see finn embracing sheila in that video, but I do have to believe in him. I have to believe that there is some kind of explanation, because he has only been loyal and loving to me. I hate the thought of it. I hate– I hated watching that, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to protect us.

Liam: You know what I keep thinking about lately? Is the day kelly was born… I mean, oh… there was so much leading up to it, you know? So much preparation and classes and– and planning and thinking and dreaming. And then– and then, it’s like the minute she arrived, nothing prepared us for that. I mean, it’s like the minute I actually held her in my arms, I knew that my life would never be the same again. I just– I don’t think I blinked for the rest of the day, I just stared, just kept staring in awe, knowing that nothing else mattered. Knowing that I just had to do everything I could to make sure she was happy and… safe. And not just her. Her and her mother. That’s part of it. You’re part of it. My job is to protect you, too. Steffy: Liam, I can’t explain why finn embraced sheila, but I trust my husband and I know he will not put the children or me at risk. He knows what sheila is capable of, okay? But I really appreciate it. That you’re so concerned about us.

Sheila: I did. And you won’t believe what happened. I saved kelly’s life.

Steffy: Finn, where are you?

[ Steffy sighing ] Finally. You two were gone a long time. Hi, sweetheart. Did you have fun at the beach?

Kelly: Something happened, mommy. Something really scary.

Steffy: Oh, really? What happened?

Kelly: I almost drowned.

Liam: If finn really is

Wyatt: You telling steffy about finn hugging his mom.

Liam: Ah.

Liam: Um, yeah, I told her.

Wyatt: Okay, good, ’cause there’s no way that she could accept finn letting sheila anywhere near her or the kids after hearing that, right?

Deacon: So you– you ran in and you pulled kelly from the surf? How the hell did this even happen?

Sheila: That’s– I went– I went to the hospital, and I– I saw finn and kelly leaving and I followed them. They didn’t even know that I was– I was watching. And they went– they went to the beach. And they went surfing. And– and after surfing, they were playing in the sand. And finn must have got a really important phone call because he stepped away a little bit. And I kept an eye on– on kelly because she went down to the water’s edge with her bucket. Before you knew it, she got swept away. She got swept under. And I– I went– I went in after her.

Deacon: God, she– she’s okay, right?

Sheila: Yeah, she’s fine.

Deacon: I mean, sheila, if you hadn’t been there… you saved steffy’s daughter’s life.

Steffy: Oh, my god. Sweetheart, are you okay?

Finn: Kelly’s okay. I– I checked her out. She’s okay.

Kelly: I’m all right, mommy. The ocean took my bucket. I tried to get it, but got sucked in.

Deacon: I mean, I– look, I’ll admit it. I thought you were crazy– misguided for thinking that you could somehow convince finn that you deserve to be in his life, but sheila, sheila, you– you may have just pulled off the impossible today.

Wyatt: Seriously, bro. I mean, did steffy totally lose it after hearing about finn hugging his psycho bio mom?

Liam: Well, look, okay, so, you know, predictably, she wasn’t thrilled to find out that– that finn was hugging sheila outside the judge’s chambers, but she still– she didn’t react the way I did, for example.

Wyatt: What? What do you mean? Why not?

Liam: Well, you know, finn’s her husband. She wants to believe him. She wants to– she wants to think that he would never let any harm come to her or the kids. Now, obviously, I don’t share that bias, so yours truly doesn’t trust the guy now.

Steffy: Sheila? Sheila saved you?

Finn: Hey, look, I can explain.

Kelly: Can I go take a shower?

Steffy: Yes, of course you can. Oh, I’m so sorry that you had to go through that.

Kelly: It’s all right, mommy. I’m okay. I love you, too.

Steffy: I love you. What the hell happened?

Finn: Uh, kelly was fine. We were surfing, we built a sandcastle and, um… I had an important work call about a patient and I… put my earbuds in and I couldn’t hear very well. I had bad reception and I was trying to shield myself from the wind and I turned my back on her for just, like, a moment.

Steffy: You never turn your back on a child at the beach!

Finn: Look, it just– it happened so fast that– and then, I suddenly just– I heard…

Kelly: Help, finn! Help!

Finn: …I heard her crying for help and I rushed in immediately, and I– and I got her, okay? And then, that’s just– that’s– that’s when I saw her.

Steffy: Sheila.

Finn: Yeah. I mean, I was stunned, just as you are, but in that moment, it didn’t matter, okay? Kelly was safe. Yes, she got to her first, but I took her from sheila and I– I got her to the shore to make sure she was okay.

Steffy: Okay? Okay? My god, I could have lost my daughter. She could have drowned. What the hell were you thinking? You never turn your back on a child at the beach.

Finn: I know, okay? I’m sorry. I– I’m sorry.

Steffy: What the hell was sheila even doing there?

Finn: I don’t know. Okay? Honestly, I don’t know. She was just– she was there, but thank god she was… because if– because if she wasn’t, may– I mean, she saved her life. My mother saved kelly’s life.

Kelly: Okay.

Finn: Just stay right here, okay? Don’t move. Hey, can you hear me? One second. Hello? Hello? No, one second. What’s going on? Okay, no, no, no. He needs to stay on the iv drip, but we’re gonna have to move him to the icu, and– and get dr. Nick on that immediately because we need to check his levels. Send me over his chart and I’ll evaluate.

Sheila: Kelly, come on back. Come on.

Finn: Okay. No, move him to the icu as soon as you can because we can’t–

[ Kelly screaming ]

Sheila: Kelly! No! Kelly!

Liam: So, kelly is at the beach with finn?

Liam: Yeah, no, I mean, a week ago, totally. Wouldn’t have given it a second thought. But that was before I saw finn hugging sheila outside the judge’s chambers, and steffy, honestly, now I’m concerned none of you are safe on his watch.

Ridge: Well, skyler, that should just about do it. How’s it feel?

Skyler: Like a forrester.

Brooke: I still can’t believe that bill’s plan backfired. Sheila is actually free.

Ridge: Well, that woman is dangerous. She’s a threat. Not just to us, but to steffy and her family.

Steffy: Liam, I understand where you’re coming from.

Liam: I know– steffy, I know what you’re gonna say. I’m not overreacting. You do not hug somebody who shot you and your wife in cold blood. I don’t care– I do not care that she’s his birth mother. And– and by the way, please understand I am not– I’m not saying any of this to interfere in your marriage.

Ridge: What if we get steffy and finn to press charges again?

Carter: Ridge, ridge, they already recanted their statements. They refused to testify.

Brooke: Because of bill’s blackmail.

Carter: There was very little physical evidence linking sheila to the shootings, so almost everything hinged on finn and steffy’s account of what happened. Now, without new evidence–

Brooke: That means she’s free to terrorize us once again.

Carter: We’re taking every precaution here, okay? We’ve upped security personnel. We’ve added an extra layer of verification.

Ridge: She’s gonna find a way back into the building. She always does.

Brooke: True. She can evade even the best security.

Carter: It’s the best we can do at this point. Sheila’s free to live her life as she wants.

Brooke: So, she will be a threat to us indefinitely.

Ridge: And no one’s gonna be more threatened than steffy and her kids.

Liam: So, how long do you think finn and kelly will be?

Steffy: Finn knows that you guys have a daddy/daughter date. It shouldn’t be too long. Kelly’s really excited. I– I know you see her all the time, but she, uh, she misses you when you’re not here.

Liam: I miss her too.

Steffy: We knew this wasn’t gonna be an ideal situation.

Liam: Yeah, no.

Steffy: You have another daughter and we just had to make some sacrifices.

Liam: Yeah. It’s funny. It kills me to be away from either of them.

Steffy: I know how much you love your girls.

Liam: Fathers and daughters, you know? Something about that. It’s like there’s this just like, visceral, almost biological drive to– to protect them. Sometimes, I think about the day kelly was born. It’s amazing how much she looks like my mother. It’s– it’s in the eyes, it’s there, it’s just… and I know she’s young, but you can tell she’s an old soul. Big thoughts, big ideas. And I know she gets a lot of those ideas from you, which is why I love ’em so much. It actually hurts. Like, it physically hurts when I’m not with her.

Steffy: Yeah, well, they own our hearts and we do our best to do right by them.

Liam: Try to.

Steffy: You’re doing amazing. You’re an incredible father and kelly knows that.

Liam: Well, to whatever extent that’s true, this is why I’m– I’m so concerned about finn and his relationship with sheila. I know you don’t– I know you don’t want to think about it, but there is a connection there. She has a pull on him. There’s a vulnerability and– and that makes this whole situation dangerous, steffy.

Kelly: Finn, help!

Finn: What’s his heart rate?

Kelly: Help! Help, finn! Help!

[ Kelly coughing ]

Finn: It’s okay. It’s okay.

Carter: The restraining orders are being processed.

Ridge: Oh, well that is fantastic news ’cause I’m sure she’s gonna abide by them.

Carter: It’s the best we can do right now.

Ridge: Right, then what do we do? We just sit around and do nothing? She’s gonna weasel her way into finn’s life. She can’t stay away from him.

Brooke: She claims she wants to be loved, but she doesn’t even know the meaning of the word. She destroys everything that she touches.

Ridge: I know what she wants to touch. Steffy, finn and the kids. I’m not gonna stand here and wait for something terrible to happen. I’m gonna protect my daughter. We gotta think of something else.

Brooke: We will keep them safe. We’re not gonna let sheila lay a finger on any of them.

Steffy: Went straight to voicemail.

Liam: Well, I guess finn and kelly are having a really good time. Can I– can I just make sure we’re on the same page about something because you know I never would have had an issue with finn and kelly spending time together before I saw that embrace with sheila at the courthouse, right? It’s just that– that’s not the kind of thing we ignore. You– you agree with me on that, right?

Steffy: Liam, finn is my husband and I have to give him the benefit of the doubt. I owe him that much.

Liam: No, you– you don’t– you don’t owe him that much when it comes to sheila because the stakes are too high. This isn’t– this isn’t the kind of thing that we, like, we wait until something terrible happens. We act now.

[ Steffy sighing ]

Finn: Did you– did you swallow a lot of water? Huh? I’m gonna listen to your lungs when we get home, okay? I am so sorry, I didn’t– I didn’t hear you out there, okay? I just– I, um… I shouldn’t have taken my eyes off you. I’m sorry, honey.

Kelly: It’s okay.

Liam: Hey, I get why you don’t want to think about this connection finn has with his psychotic birth mother, but it’s there and it’s concerning.

Steffy: No. No.

Liam: And please don’t make me show you the video again.

Steffy: I don’t– I can’t hear it, okay? I don’t want to think about it. Finn embracing his mother, I can’t stand the thought of it, all right? Is that what you want to hear?

Liam: Steffy, you have to accept the possibility.

Steffy: No. No, I don’t want to believe it. I have to believe that my husband would never put me or our children in jeopardy. He knows exactly who sheila is. No matter what, there is nothing sheila can do to convince finn to let her back into our lives.

Liam: Steffy, it’s me. Hey. Uh, so you didn’t respond to my text. I figured I’d come and check on you. Did you– did you get a chance to talk to finn about the hug while at the courthouse?

Steffy: No, no. Finn had to pull an all nighter at the hospital. I was solo with hayes this morning and kelly’s at a sleepover. With a guard outside.

Liam: Okay, that’s good. But you got– you got to talk to him, steffy.

Steffy: Liam, I don’t even really know what I saw in the video. I know finn wouldn’t do something.

Liam: Yes, I– I– I know, you want to give him the benefit of the doubt because you and finn, you’ve– you’re married. You’ve been through a lot together, most of which at the hands of sheila, by the way, but please, I’m begging you, I’m begging you, do not blow me off or treat me like I’m– I’m overreacting here. You’re the mother of my child. I love you and kelly. I’m going to protect you forever. And when I saw finn embracing what we know to be a monster at the courthouse, I’m sorry, but my trust for him took a nosedive. I mean, how do you show a psychopath like that compassion? I mean, she– clearly, she didn’t show any for you or finn when she left you to die in that alley, right? So for me, for me, this calls into question not only his judgment, but his loyalty, for god’s sake.

Steffy: That is– that is not fair. Finn has taken care of me and the children. We are his number one priority.

Liam: You were his number one priority before sheila came into his life. That we know. But now? I don’t know, okay? And– and I’m not going to sit back and watch you and kelly and hayes’ life be put in jeopardy by– by sheila. I’m– I’m not.

[ Steffy sighing ]

Finn: My stepdaughter’s supposed to be getting dropped off here soon from sleepover. Do– do you mind just bringing her down her directly to me?

Sam: Of course.

Sam: Oh, dr. Finnegan, I heard about sheila carter’s release. I’m very sorry.

Sheila: I’ve been given

Deacon: Sheila, what exactly do you mean making the most of your newfound freedom? I mean, you did just waltz out of prison on your nine toes. Maybe you ought to keep a low profile for a while.

Sheila: Oh. You are so sweet to worry about me, but you don’t need to.

Deacon: Hm, so you telling me not to be worried? That’s got me worried.

Sheila: Well, no, I assure you. I– I mean, the stars are aligned. Everything’s going my way. Fate is smiling on me. Out of prison. A second chance to have a relationship with my son and my grandson. Everything is coming up roses for sheila.

Deacon: You seeing how you’re starting to freak me out?

You can’t look at that video and tell me otherwise and whatever– whatever his feelings for sheila are, they are an open invitation for her to come back into your lives. Deacon: I just don’t want you setting yourself up for disappointment.

Sheila: Well, that’s what I’m trying to tell you. I’m not.

Deacon: What am i missing here?

Sheila: Okay, when the judge dropped all of the charges and he gave me back my freedom, the bailiff took me out into the hallway and… I was just– I was flooded with emotion. I’m in shock. I was thankful. I was– I was grateful. And I saw my son. Finn came to me. And if you could see the look in his eyes, deacon, it was so pure. He didn’t look at me with hatred or fear or judgment. He just– he’s just looked at me. It’s like for the first time, it’s like he really saw me. I– I… I put my arms around him. I could feel his heartbeat. And he slowly put his arms around me too and he– he held on, he squeezed. Tighter and tighter. I finally had him in my arms. The way it always should have been. And that’s the feeling I am never going to forget. And he’s not going to forget it either.

Finn: I– I got a surfboard and your bathing suit and beach toys all in the car, so you and I can have some time before your daddy daughter day. And I was thinking, when we’re there, we could build, like, an epic sandcastle.

Kelly: Yeah.

Finn: Yeah? [ Chuckles ]

Sam: You two are really sweet together.

Finn: It’s because this one here is the sweetest of the sweet and it makes it easy to love her.

Kelly: I love you, too.

Finn: That means a lot. Sometimes, it’s nice to be reminded of what’s important. Uh, sam, um, I’m going to be at the beach, but I’m on call, okay? So, make sure you call me if anything changes with mr. Rodriguez’s condition, okay?

Liam: Steffy, you gotta believe me. I debated whether or not to come to you with this because I don’t– I don’t want to undermine your marriage or your relationship to finn, but this is also not the kind of thing you ignore, right? The stakes are too high.

Steffy: I know that you’re trying to lookout for me and kelly and hayes, and I appreciate it.

Liam: Okay, but there is no such thing as too careful when it comes to sheila. So don’t– just don’t let your guard down.

Steffy: I know, I know. Believe me, I’m not going to put the children at risk, but you are wrong about finn.

Liam: Okay, how do you know? Did you see the same video I did? What do you think?

Steffy: I know my husband. Yes, I– I don’t know why he hugged sheila. I’m still trying to make sense of it. It is upsetting, but I do trust that he is not going to allow sheila back into our lives. He knows how dangerous she is and he’s going to protect us. I’m sure of it.

Sheila: It was amazing. All of a sudden, it’s like this hole in my– in my heart was suddenly filled. And I know finn felt the same way.

Sheila: I told you, never underestimate the bond between a mother and her son.

Liam: Steffy, I– I’m sorry, but you– you– you can’t ask me to be giving finn the benefit of the doubt after what I saw. It’s just– that’s not a risk I’m willing to take with kelly or hayes or you.

Steffy: I understand why you’re concerned. And I respect you for telling me what you saw between sheila and finn. Yes, I– I don’t understand it. It is upsetting, especially when we agreed that sheila was not gonna come back into our lives. So, the thought of– the thought of sheila actually near him, much less with his arms wrapped around her, like, it doesn’t make sense. But he is my husband and he hasn’t given me a reason not to trust him. What he did? Yes. I– I don’t like it. I feel awful about it. I don’t understand it, but I’m not willing to throw everything I know to be true just because of one hug.

Liam: You don’t have to throw everything– what that one hug proves is that right now, you can’t just rely on finn to protect kelly and hayes.

Steffy: Liam, just stop.

Liam: No, I’m not– I’m not gonna– I’m not gonna stop because you and kelly and hayes are too important. And right now, until you have a conversation at least, finn can’t be trusted. He needs to stay on the iv drip, but we’re going to have to move him to the icu and– and get dr. Nick on that immediately because we need to check his levels. Send over his chart and I’ll evaluate.

Steffy: Liam, no, no way. No way. You must have misunderstood.

Liam: It’s not an misunderstanding and the only reason I’m saying anything is for kelly and your safety.

Steffy: Finn would never do something like that.

Liam: I saw it. I was standing right there. It happened right in front of me, right in the courthouse right after sheila was released and I’m– I’m– I’m telling you finn and sheila were physically embracing each other.

Li: Sheila’s out of prison? How? How– how on earth is that possible?

Finn: The judge dropped the charges. It– ruled that the sheila was a victim of illegal search and seizure when she confessed and he just– it– it was thrown out.

Li: A victim? You’ve gotta be kidding me.

Deacon: Sheila.

Sheila: In the flesh.

Deacon: You escaped? You– you came here? Sheila, what are you thinking?

Sheila: You know, that wasn’t the welcome that I was hoping for.

Deacon: What did you do?

Sheila: Relax, would you? I didn’t escape. They let me go.

Deacon: Okay, what the hell is going on?

[ Sheila laughing ]

Sheila: You’re looking at a free woman.

Ridge: Hey, I got your text. Uh-oh. What?

Brooke: There’s something you need to know. Wanna go ahead?

Ridge: What’s going on?

Hope: Well, you know that liam has moved out.

Ridge: Yeah, I’m sorry to hear that, but I– I’m convinced you two kids could work through it.

Hope: I’m afraid not.

Ridge: What happened?

Ridge: Divorce?

Hope: Liam asked for one. It’s not what I wanted, initially, and I– I tried to get liam to forgive me after what happened in rome, but…

Ridge: And he had divorce papers drawn up.

Hope: No. I did.

Deacon: A free woman?

Sheila: That’s right.

Deacon: All right, come on. Fess up. Tell me the truth. Guthrie. What, he helped you escape again?

Sheila: Nope. You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you speechless.

Deacon: You have that effect on me sometimes.

Sheila: I know that this is a bit of a shock.

Deacon: And yet, not the first one today.

Sheila: Well, hopefully, this is a good one.

Deacon: Tell me exactly what happened.

Sheila: The judge dropped all charges. They set me free.

Li: I still don’t understand this. I thought bill’s plan was foolproof.

Finn: Well, apparently not.

[ Li sighing ]

Li: Sheila carter? Serial criminal, free to roam the streets? Oh, how could the judge allow it? She shot you and steffy! Say you’ll testify now.

Finn: Can’T. The D.A. Dropped the charges. Unless there’s new evidence, there’s– look, I didn’t make the law. Look, mom, just please try not to worry.

Li: Of course, I’m worried. I’m sure you are too! Whatever sheila has planned, you need to protect steffy and those children of yours. Do not let sheila come back into your lives ever again.

Liam: I’m really sorry, steffy. I know this is a shocking thing to hear.

Steffy: Well, you must have misinterpreted because there’s no way finn would be in contact with sheila, let alone embrace her.

Liam: I’m sorry, steffy, but I thought you needed to know. I used to wait to run my dishwasher

Ridge: Now, you said you were desperate to hold on to your marriage, to work things out with liam. Next thing I know, you draw up divorce papers.

Hope: I realize this may seem sudden to you–

Ridge: It’s a little sudden. Let me ask you something. Does this have something to do with you sleeping with my son at all?

Brooke: Ridge!

Hope: Mom, you told him?

Brooke: Honey, I– I can’t keep secrets from him. You know that. Nobody else knows.

Hope: Uh-uh.

Ridge: It doesn’t matter. Guys, I don’t care about that. If you and liam can figure it out, that’s great. If you can’t, that’s great. That’s up to you. What I care about is my son. He’s been working really hard to get his life back together and not be obsessed with you. So, I’m asking you, despite of what happened before, how do you feel about him? How do you feel about thomas?

Deacon: So, the judge said bill’s plan didn’t hold up in court because of the way he got the confession.

Sheila: That’s right.

Deacon: Un-frickin- believable.

Sheila: I– I’ll tell ya, I was– I was fully prepared, walking into the judge’s chambers, thinking that I was gonna spend the rest of my life in prison. I can’t even put into words how scared I was. I mean, waking up every morning thinking that I was never gonna be able to touch the people that I love ever again.

Li: I can only imagine what it was like for you and steffy sitting there, looking at that woman, hearing the judge set her free.

Finn: Steffy wanted to be there to face sheila. Clearly, this was not the outcome she expected.

Li: And what about you? How are you able to hold yourself back? I would not have been able to control myself.

Finn: Yeah, um, I had a very– very strong reaction.

Liam: I don’t love having to come here and drop this bomb on you, but if finn really is vulnerable to his birth mother, then you need to know that.

Steffy: No. No, no, no. This does not make– it does not make any sense. Sheila shot me. She shot finn. She held him captive for months. Look, I can’t– I can’t explain this video, but there is no way finn would put me or my family in jeopardy.

Liam: I agree with you. I agree. It doesn’t make any sense, especially after finn saying for months and months that he’d sworn off sheila and he wants nothing to do with her and he’s gonna do everything in his power to protect you and your family from her. This is why I took the video because there is no way you would believe it otherwise. Hell, I know I wouldn’T. But steffy, at this point, you don’t know that you can trust finn to keep you and kelly and hayes safe from sheila and that’S… that’s information you deserve to have. Glad with clorox eliminates food and bacterial odors.

Hope: Well, of course I have feelings for thomas. We share a son together. We’re a great team, you know, with hope for the future and I think we are on a path that is just getting started.

Ridge: Okay. I don’t know what any of that means.

Hope: It just– it means that thomas and I share a connection and I get why you would be curious about my relationship with thomas. I mean, he’s your son. Of course, you would be concerned.

Ridge: I’m concerned about all my kids.

Hope: Steffy too?

Ridge: Yeah, steffy too.

Hope: Okay, so then he’s aware about the role that steffy kinda played with what happened with liam and me?

Ridge: What?

Brooke: Hope feels that liam is still in love with steffy.

Ridge: Okay.

Hope: We all know that steffy, liam and me, we’ve had a dynamic that has been going on for a very long time now and I just realized that I… don’t want to spend my life with a man who has divided feelings because I have seen the kind of damage that that can do. Whereas thomas has always been very clear about his feelings for me. So, I do not know what the future holds. I don’t have an answer for you. I just know that I want to work and concentrate on hope for the future and concentrate on raising my kids. I just– I don’t want to let this drag me down.

Deacon: Bill and ridge vowed to keep quiet about our relationship. Nobody knows. They’ve kept the promise.

Sheila: Yeah, but me being free doesn’t change anything. That’s why I put on this adorable little disguise. No need to draw unnecessary attention.

Deacon: I just can’t believe you fooled me again.

Sheila: Can you take a moment to– to enjoy the fact that I’m free?

Deacon: I am so happy you’re free. I hated the fact that you were rotting away in that prison cell.

Sheila: Yeah, but you know, when you came to see me, you, uh… you really helped me forget about the reality that I was living in. You helped me, you really did and I thank you for that.

Deacon: I’m just glad I could do something.

Sheila: No, I… I really felt like I– I was living in a very hopeless situation and look at me now. Look at me now! I’m here with you and a second chance. It just goes to prove that you should– you should really never give up. You just never know what gifts life is gonna give you.

Deacon: I am glad you’re free.

Sheila: I’m just really hoping that– that finn will be happy for me too.

Li: Doesn’t the judge know releasing sheila puts you, steffy and the kids in danger?

Finn: His hands were tied.

Li: I can’t believe we’re in this position again. This is just wrong! Sheila should be spending the rest of her life behind bars, right, finn?

Liam: The most important thing is keeping sheila as far away as humanly possible from you and the kids, right? And the second she’s set free, finn is cozying it up with her, so– so you just have to be realistic here and consider the possibility that finn is not capable of standing up to her to protect you and your family.

Steffy: Ugh. It makes me nauseous to see finn with his arms wrapped around sheila. Like, I can’t tell you how many times we’ve discussed sheila staying away from us. But there has to be some kind of, like, explanation. Finn just wouldn’t let his guard down. He wouldn’t endanger our family. It’s impossible.

Sheila: Deacon, I– I know this is hard for you to understand, but never underestimate the bond between a mother and her son.

Deacon: I’m not. I’m just saying, I think it would take a miracle for them to let you back into their life.

Sheila: Look at me now. I mean, anything is possible and I’m not gonna give up until finn forgives me and allows me to be a part of his life.

Li: You do agree sheila should spend the rest of her life in prison, right? Finn. I know this isn’t what you or steffy expected. Justice wasn’t served. But you have to think about steffy and the kids. The judge’s decision puts all of you at risk.

Finn: Don’t worry, all right? I will do whatever it takes to keep my family safe.

Steffy: I– I just can’t believe finn would allow himself to vulnerable to sheila after everything she’s done to us.

Liam: It’s right here, steffy. It’s on video.

Steffy: It’s a hug. That’s all.

Liam: Look, nobody wants to believe that finn has this emotional attachment to sheila, but he didn’t push her away, he didn’t scream at her, right? I mean– you know how I feel about you and kelly. I’m not– I’m not gonna sit back and put your safety at risk while finn tries to figure out his relationship with his birth mom. She’s a dangerous person.

Steffy: I know.

Liam: Okay. You know that, I know that and kelly is my daughter and it’s my job to protect her and she’s living under this roof with finn. And it’s not– it’s not– it’s not just kelly. It’s obviously– it’s hayes and you too.

Steffy: Yeah, but you’ve always been protective of us.

Liam: I know and I’m– I’m just– I’m just saying– I’m not saying there’s not some explanation. What I am saying is you cannot bury your head in the sand here.

Steffy: I’m not.

Liam: Okay, then you know exactly what you have do, right? I mean, you have to confront finn about this. You have to force him to give you an explanation for this. Now, maybe– I don’t know, maybe there’s an answer. Maybe, you know, maybe tensions were running high and he was emotional and there’s like a mother/son bond.

Steffy: What? No, no, no. He hates sheila for what she did to us.

Liam: Absolutely and he should because she has proven time and time again that she’s dangerous. Not just dangerous, but lethal and she’s manipulative and she happens to be obsessed with finn and hayes. And she’s– look, that hug, whether he knows it or not, it sent a message to sheila. He’s basically saying, “hey, guess what? I’m vulnerable to you.” And sheila is gonna take that information and she is gonna use it however she can to get close to him and hayes and kelly, and I’m not gonna just let that happen. I love kelly way too much to put her in harm’s way. And I know we’re not together, but I love you too, you know.

Liam: Dear brother, I am not out to torpedo steffy’s marriage. I am only concerned about keeping her and kelly safe from sheila.

Wyatt: And you don’t think finn feels the same way?

Liam: Did you not see the video? That is not– that is not the kind of thing I can ignore. The stakes are too high.

Wyatt: What– where are you going?

[ Chuckling ] Or do I even need to ask?

Deacon: So, you signed the papers? It’s– it’s done.

Brooke: Honey, why didn’t you wait? Liam loves you. He doesn’t really want this divorce. He’s just angry and lashing out. You still have time to fix it. Don’t give up on your marriage so easily.

Hope: Except I’m not the one who gave up on my marriage so easily, mom. That was him. This is why I avoided telling you because I knew this would be your reaction. I know you want me to fight for my marriage, mom.

Brooke: Yes, of course I do because you have a family, beth and douglas.

Hope: And liam and i are going to make sure that this is as non-disruptive for them as possible.

Deacon: I’m just so sorry that you have to go through this, sweetheart.

Hope: Me too. I mean, believe me, this was, um, not an easy decision to make.

Deacon: Well, your mother and i are here for you. You made a mistake. Mistakes don’t define you.

Brooke: Deacon’s right. I just wish a divorce wasn’t the price you have to pay for this mistake.

Hope: Well, I– I take full responsibility for what happened with thomas, but, like I said before, I also don’t want to be with someone who doesn’t fight for what we have. Who doesn’t give me the same grace that I’ve allowed him how many times before? Who still loves steffy. I mean, I’m tired of accepting that.

Brooke: I just don’t think you should give up on your marriage so easily.

Deacon: Okay, so, what are you saying here? Are you moving ahead with thomas?

Hope: I don’t know what the future holds, but I just– I just don’t want you to worry about me. I will be fine, okay? This is why I wanted you to hear this from me.

Brooke: Well, we appreciate you telling us about this and being open and honest. But honey, I am– I’m heartbroken for you. And I know your marriage matters to you. And I truly believe that liam is the love of your life.

Hope: Except, I’m not the only love of liam’s life. He also loves steffy, and I have been in competition with her for what feels like forever and I just– I don’t wanna live like that anymore.

[ Knocking on door ]

Steffy: Who is it?

Liam: Yo, it’s liam.

Steffy: Oh, my gosh.

[ Steffy sighing ]

Liam: I, uh– I just– I don’t know. I came to check on you. A lot happened today, so, just seeing how you’re doing. What’s wrong?

Steffy: It’s just so stressful. I don’t think I’m ever gonna be able to let my guard down now that sheila’s out of prison.

Liam: Yeah, that’s, uh–

[ Clears throat ] That’s kind of why I– I came to talk to you. It’s about sheila. And your husband.

[Bones cracking]

Hope: I get that you’re both concerned.

Deacon: We are, but we support you. We love you, sweetheart.

[ Phone chiming ]

Hope: I appreciate that, I do, and I love you both.

Deacon: Uh, looks like I got a package delivered upstairs. I’m gonna have to go.

Hope: Okay, well, thank you for listening to me and always being on my side.

Hope: I know.

Brooke: I just love you so much. And you and I both know that it was more than just a kiss that you shared with thomas. Is that the reason why you had these divorce papers drawn up?

Liam: And finn. Um, listen, it– I– I’m still tripping out over the fact that– that my dad’s plan just didn’t work and– and sheila’s out of prison, but right now, the focus is knowing that– that you and kelly and hayes and everyone is– is safe.

Steffy: I– I appreciate your concern, and we are taking every precaution, but you don’t have to worry about me.

Liam: Well, I’m liam, I worry. Worrying is my thing. So, tough.

Steffy: I can take care of myself. Hey, I promise you, nothing’s gonna happen to the children, okay? And I have finn. He’ll protect them.

Liam: Well, he might– you might– maybe not, okay? Maybe not.

Steffy: Liam, if this has something to do with my husband–

Liam: It does, it doe– it does have to do with that, and I’m really sorry, okay? Just– when the judge dropped the charges that– it– it was like just pure chaos in that room, right? So, I don’t know if you– if you clocked this or not?

Steffy: Clocked what?

Liam: But finn leaving the room. You– you remember that? Do you– he just– he left.

Steffy: He was checking in on a patient.

Liam: Yeah, you didn’t find that strange? Like– like, that couldn’t wait? Especially in that moment?

Steffy: What are you saying?

Liam: I was– well, I followed him out there.

Steffy: Why would you follow him?

Liam: Because it was weird, steffy. It was totally weird. Like, how– the timing of it, how he was acting, his body language, the way he was looking at sheila. Like, the whole vibe was off, and sheila had just been– she had been let out of the room ahead of him. And so, when I– when I followed them out there, what I saw blew my mind. And I debated coming to you with this, but at the end of the day, it’s all about safety, right?

Steffy: Can you just tell me what the hell you’re talking about? What did you see?

Liam: Just know this is gonna shock you.

Steffy: Tell me.

Liam: All right, but please, understand that I’m not saying any of this to like, mess with your marriage or cause problems or anything, okay? But when I– when I walked out of the room, and I saw them… sheila was in finn’s arms.

Steffy: What? N– no. No, no, that– that can’t be.

Liam: Well, it is. It’s– sheila and finn were– they were hugging, steffy.

Steffy: This is a nightmare. Sheila’s supposed to be in prison. How could the judge just let her go?

Finn: He said the confession wasn’t submissible because of bill’s plan.

Steffy: Oh, my god. Sheila is dangerous! She should be behind bars. You know that. Finn, tell me you know that.

Brooke: Hope!

Ridge: Okay. So, then let me guess. Is this about hope’s marriage to liam? Because they’re grown people, they’re not kids anymore. It was one kiss. That’s all.

Brooke: Unfortunately, it was a lot more than just one kiss.

Hope: Yeah, I might have been thinking about us.

Thomas: Yeah?

Hope: Yeah. But I’m also thinking about sheila, you know, being released from prison yet again. I mean, I just– I can’t even.

Thomas: I know. It’s ridiculous and everyone seems to be in full damage control.

Hope: Yeah, well, my mom has added extra security to the house, but you know sheila. If she sets her sights on something…

Thomas: I’m gonna keep you safe.

Hope: What?

Thomas: I– I would never let anything happen to you or to douglas or to beth.

Hope: You– you mean that, don’t you?

Thomas: Of course.

Hope: Wow, that’s just, um, I don’t know. That’s just nice to hear. Guess I’ve never really truly felt protected or secure. I mean, liam made that promise, I mean, I don’t think he would– could really mean it.

Thomas: No?

Hope: No, you know, because of his feelings for your sister, which actually there is something you should know. Liam and I signed divorce papers.

Steffy: Thank you for expediting this and for the added security here and at forrester. I really appreciate it. Oh, my gosh. I can’t believe this is our life again. I’m sure sheila can’t wait to make contact with you or, god forbid, hayes. No, we– we– I– I can’t believe this isn’t behind us. I can’t believe that we have to actually worry about sheila again. And now it’s– it’s worse than ever because she is out, scot-free. And we don’t have any recourse.

Finn: Look, hey, we got the restraining order, right? I mean, we have more security than fort knox.

Steffy: It’s not enough, finn. Come on. Look, I– I know she is your birth mother, but sheila must be far away from our home and our children. We can’t have any contact with her.

Liam: There is no reason for finn to be hugging sheila like that. I mean clearly, sheila has some pull on finn, whether he wants to admit it or not. The question is how strong of a pull is this?

Wyatt: Well, I mean, she is his birth mom, right? We– we talked about this. None of this could possibly be easy for the guy. But I’m– I’m just– I’m just gonna put this out there, all right? You’ve… you’ve been through a lot lately, right? Hope kissing thomas in rome and– and–

Liam: Yeah, wait, what does this have to do with finn and sheila?

Wyatt: I’m just saying you’ve been going through a difficult time, okay? The betrayal of your wife mixed with, you know, your– your history with your ex and–

Liam: Where are you going with this?

Wyatt: Okay, the video looks bad, right? But maybe, just maybe here… could you possibly be overreacting a little? About finn hugging sheila because of your feelings for steffy?

[Bones cracking]

Brooke: There’s something I haven’t told you yet, and I’m sorry I haven’t done that, but I– I did just recently find out myself.

Ridge: Find out what?

Brooke: You know how hope and thomas have been working closely together. And, uh, even before they went to rome, I suspected that she was developing some kind of feelings for him. And it turns out that I was right.

Ridge: We know that they kissed in rome and that’s it.

Brooke: Apparently, they took their relationship to the next level. I found them in bed together, ridge.

Thomas: So, you had the papers drawn up and not liam.

Hope: Yes. Look, I don’t really want to get into the details about it. I just– I’m trying to not dwell on it and move forward and–

Thomas: I– I understand, I mean, what you’ve been going through is heartbreaking. You and liam were together for a long time.

Hope: Yeah, I just– I hate that beth is going to have to grow up now in a household with her parents separated. I mean, I went through that and I never wanted that for her.

Thomas: You know, hope, uh, divorce papers are not… you can still put your family back together. And no one really knows what happened between you and me except for you and me and well, brooke, but still, yeah. You could work things out with liam.

Hope: Thank you for saying that, thomas. It– it does mean a lot, but frankly, liam didn’t want to work things out. He made his feelings very clear. He could not forgive what happened in rome. He couldn’t forgive that and– and he didn’t try to fight for our marriage. Those words, “I want a divorce,” just came out of his mouth so quickly and so easily and I just– I had to stop and ask myself why? Why it was so easy for him to walk away?

Thomas: I mean, I– I– I don’t understand it. I don’t understand how liam could walk away from you so easily.

Hope: Well, that’s because he was done with our life together and because he wants what he had before. He wants his life with steffy.

Finn: Hey, I, um, I need to get to the hospital. You gonna be okay?

Steffy: Yeah, yeah, I just had to finalize a few things before a conference call.

Finn: Okay. Look, hey, I love you, right? There is nothing more important to me than our family. We’re gonna– we’re gonna get through this.

Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, as long as sheila stays away from you, our children, and me, we’ll be just fine.

Liam: Are you kidding me right now? You’re– you’re gonna– you’re gonna look at this video and you’re gonna tell me I’m overreacting. Did we not– did we not just–

Wyatt: I said it looks bad. It looks bad.

Liam: Okay, it looks bad.

Wyatt: I’m just saying, are you maybe reading into this situation because of your feelings for steffy? And– and therefore, anything that finn does is– is bad.

Liam: Dude, this is not “anything” finn does. It– it’s the hugging a murderous psychopath part I got a problem with. Listen, maybe– maybe finn is having some confusing feelings right now. I don’t care. Here’s what’s not confusing, sheila tried to kill steffy. Kelly almost lost her mother. I almost lost her.

Wyatt: I know, but don’t you think you might be being overprotective of steffy?

Liam: Over– overprotect– I’m being protective. I’m just being protective and you’re damn right I’m gonna be protective when it comes to kelly and steffy. I am not– I am not going to let finn drag that woman back into all our lives. Mlb chooses t-mobile for business for 5g solutions…

Ridge: You found hope and thomas in bed together. How?

Brooke: Okay, remember when I went over to talk to thomas, to reassure him that I knew that kiss was not on his initiative, but on my daughter’s? Well, I drove up to his house and I saw my daughter’s car there and then I went to knock on the door. Nobody answered, so I went in. I called for thomas a couple of times. And then I noticed my daughter’s purse on the couch and there was muffled voices going on upstairs. So, I was worried. I ran up there.

Ridge: And you found them together.

Brooke: Yeah, that was, uh– that was the last thing I expected to see.

Ridge: Does liam know?

Brooke: My daughter just said she’s capable of making her own decisions. She’ll do what she wants and she didn’t want anybody to know, ridge. She didn’t want me to tell you. But what am I gonna do? I can’t keep secrets from you. Especially because this is something to do with your son.

Ridge: I appreciate, thank you. But that’s what I’m worried about now, thomas sliding back to obsessing over hope just because she’s unhappy in her marriage.

Brooke: So, you think hope did this because she’s upset her marriage is ending?

Ridge: I don’t know why she did what she did. I don’t know. And what do you think? Do you– do you think she really has feelings for thomas?

Thomas: How are you holding up with all this?

Hope: I’m not going to lie. It’s pretty painful to watch my marriage come to an end, but I am appreciative of how thoughtful and considerate you’ve been about all of it. But, I also don’t want you to think that I’ve forgotten about what we shared because, um, it’s kind of pretty much all that I’ve been thinking about.

Thomas: Me too.

Hope: I mean, I’ve– I have a lot of pretty complicated and conflicting things happening inside of me, but… I am sure about one thing.

Wyatt: I know how much you will always love steffy, okay?

Liam: Well, yeah, duh, that’s a no-brainer. I mean, we were married, we share a daughter. She’s had a huge impact on my life and– and who I became as a person. I mean, yeah, of course I love her. I’ll always love her, I– god, I remember the first time I…

steffy! Hey, steffy!
