Uncle Vic must be rolling over in his grave– his own son, handing over his life’s work to Stefano DiMera’s demented daughter.

Xander, why are you doing this? What does Kristen have on you?

What Kristen has is a serum that will cure Sarah’s paralysis. She’ll walk again.

I thought it might. God knows I wish– I wish there was another way to help Sarah, but we haven’t found it.

Look, I certainly am sympathetic to your problem. But as legal counsel–

I don’t care about your counsel right now, Justin. This isn’t your decision to make. It’s mine. Victor gave Titan to me to do with as I choose, and I choose to trade it for this serum. There’s nothing you or anyone else can say that will change my mind.

It’s the same exact deal I offered to Brady Black. You plead guilty to attempted vehicular manslaughter for causing the drunken hit-and-run that robbed your daughter-in-law of the use of her legs, and I’ll recommend to the judge that you serve ten years in prison.

As I said, Ms. Cook, this is the best deal you’re ever going to get. You could be looking at twice that time, if not more. So you’d be wise to sign here and here so we can bring this matter to a close. [ominous music]

You also came clean to Brady Black, the man you framed for your crime. Yeah. Brady did tell us about the little talk you two had downstairs in holding.

You know, I’m sorry, but I don’t recall having any of the aforementioned conversations.

I have dealt with my fair share of contemptible, remorseless, despicable people sitting in that very chair. And you, Ms. Cook, are right up there with the worst of them.

Ugh, please, EJ, spare us your righteous indignation because when it comes to moral superiority, you are standing on a house of cards.

Trask, what are you doing here?

I’m here to stop you from badgering this woman without the benefit of counsel. Fiona, don’t say another word.

You’re representing this sociopath?

Kristen’s doing quite well as DiMera’s CEO, which you will find out soon. But I’ll remind you that my contract allows me to take outside clients, especially poor, defenseless women who are being railroaded by patriarchal misogynists.

Okay. I’ll choose to ignore the insults. But I will give you the opportunity to argue the merits of your wholly baseless accusation. How is Ms. Cook being railroaded?

It’s simple. My client is being accused of a crime she didn’t commit. She’s innocent, so I demand her release immediately.

You’re absolutely right. But you’re also right when you say that Victor saw himself in me. And we both know that if– if it was Maggie’s health that–that was at risk, Victor would move heaven and Earth. He would go to hell and back to save her, wouldn’t he?

Yeah, he would. But I am not dying. And it’s not like we need this serum to save my life. Love… you know that I have accepted the fact that I will never walk again. And I’m gonna live with that.

Darling… I know how hard you’ve tried to do just that– to learn to live with it, to accept that you’ll never walk again. And I’ve seen the brave face that you put on for me and for everyone else. But no matter how courageous you are, I– I also see what a struggle it is for you. So I couldn’t live with myself if I knew that there was– if there was something that I could do to end that struggle, to end your suffering, and instead I just chose to cling on to some empire.

Yes, I’ve struggled. And I have suffered. And I count my blessings that that accident didn’t take my life. And I have– I have so much love and support from you and my mom and our daughter. I am lucky in so many ways. And I’m getting stronger every single day. As a doctor, I’ve seen people with disabilities go on and live full, vibrant lives. And I know that I can be one of those people. Baby, you do not have to do this. Please, just call Kristen, and tell that blackmailing bitch that the deal is off and you’ve changed your mind. [soft dramatic music] Please.

Now, Gabi… it’s understandable that you feel conflicted about ending your marriage. Why wouldn’t you? You went into it hoping that it would be like Tía Hilda and Tío Gabriel’s– till death do us part. Now, we were raised to believe that marriage is a sacred bond.

Yeah.

But Stefan was the one to break our vows. I was so hurt and so angry when I found out he slept with Ava while I was rotting away in Statesville. All I wanted to do was hurt him back… by sleeping with his brother. [sighs] Not telling you anything you don’t already know?

No, you’re not. But I am getting the impression that you are not sure you want to end your marriage to Stefan.

No. I guess I’m not sure of that either. And Stefan seemed so sad the last time we spoke. I’m not sure this is what he really wants either.

Are you seriously considering staying married to Gabi after she slept with our brother?

Gabi only slept with EJ to get back at me for sleeping with Ava, which was a one-time, stupid, drunken mistake.

Yes, but at what cost? I’m not just gonna sit and watch you hand over your birthright– Victoria’s birthright– to Kristen.

Victoria’s birthright is not Titan. It’s you– you, healthy and happy. I owe Victor nothing. I owe you everything.

Darling, for years, all I cared about was earning Victor’s approval, finding my rightful place at Titan. But then I met you. And you saw me for– for who I am, and you gave me your love freely. And all you ever wanted from me was honesty. Whereas my own father couldn’t bring himself to love me while he was alive. And everything he left for me after he died– well, it doesn’t measure up to what you’ve given me in our life together. So I’m sorry, darling. Your wishes do matter to me, but my mind’s made up. When Kristin gets here, I’m– I’m going to give her Titan– lock, stock, and barrel– in exchange for the serum that can help you walk again.

Melinda, need I remind you that your client ran over Sarah Kiriakis and left her to die? That poor woman is paralyzed. She will never walk again. So there is no way in hell I am allowing Ms. Cook to walk out of here. I mean, the woman confessed, for God’s sake.

I did no such thing.

Fine. I don’t need a confession. I have two eyewitnesses– the victim and Brady Black. And both Sarah and Brady can positively identify you were the one who drove the car that struck her that night and are both willing to testify to that fact in open court.

EJ, that testimony and $ might get you bus fare to Chicago, but it most certainly won’t get you a conviction. You know it, and I know it. [dramatic music]

I am certain, Ms. Trask, that I have a strong case to make against your client. So we’ll just have to let the process play itself out, let a jury decide. But if you seriously think that any one of a dozen of your client’s peers will be unsympathetic to Dr. Sarah Horton Kiriakis, the granddaughter of the pillars of our community, the loving mother of an adorable one-year-old, when she wheels herself into court to testify to the fact that her lush of a mother-in-law ran her over, then you are less of an attorney than I first thought.

If anyone is less of an attorney here, it’s you, Elvis, because you seem to be forgetting that Sarah Kiriakis has also changed her story about what happened that night multiple times, making her, well, a not-so-credible witness. And as for Brady Black, the man’s an addict, obviously, and has been accused of, among other things, killing his uncle in a drunken rage and throwing him into the river.

If you’re referring to his Uncle Philip, the lunatic who faked his own death and then framed Brady, much in the same way that your client did.

Be that as it may, Brady Black’s testimony in this case is certain to offer reasonable doubt after reasonable doubt. The man was so intoxicated on the night of the accident that he even believed that he was driving the car. You see, he has changed his story also. So how can anyone be certain that he wasn’t really the person who hit Sarah?

You know he didn’t do it.

[scoffs]

Brady will testify that he woke up in the passenger seat of the car next to Fiona, who was behind the wheel. And he will also testify to the fact that she said that she had just hit someone.

Do you even hear yourself, EJ? When a jury hears the testimony of your two wholly unreliable witnesses, they will not even deliberate. They will acquit my client immediately. But hey, you want to take this to trial, be my guest. I will take great pleasure in tearing apart their testimony and your already tainted legal reputation. I’ll rip it to shreds. So do yourself a favor. Save the City of Salem the expense. Save yourself the embarrassment, and cut Fiona loose now.

You know, from what I hear… you never gave up on anything or anyone you ever wanted. I am your son, after all. I’d like to think I have that fighting spirit in me. And for that reason, I am not giving up on my marriage to Gabi. No, no. [soft dramatic music] I’m gonna fight for the woman that I love.

Well, I wouldn’t get too excited about that. I mean, there is a second vial, and it needs to be combined with that one to actually heal Sarah’s spinal injury. It’s just in case you tried to renege on the terms of our deal.

So when do we get the second vial?

Once your shares of Titan Industries are successfully transferred to me. [laughs] Now… [clears throat] Do you need a pen, Xander?

No, I’ve got one. Let’s get this over with.

I wouldn’t bother signing those, Xander.

Don’t try and talk me out of this now, Justin.

No, that’s not why I’m here. I’m here to let you both know that someone has filed an injunction prohibiting the transfer of Xander’s Titan stock to you. [dramatic music]

What the hell is going on, Xander?

Your guess is as good as mine. Justin, who filed the injunction? It’d have to be a family member, but–well, it can’t have been Alex. We all know he’s not Victor’s son.

I am glad to hear it. And you’re right. A pivotal scene like that should never be played off-camera.

No, never. Are you kidding me? A moment like that, the death of a beloved character– that’s the kind of scene an audience tunes in for. [dramatic music]

I mean, who’s going to go toe to toe with Kassandra? I mean, it’s not like we can go online and, you know, find someone–find a capricious, fiery actress, a soap-opera diva.

I might have a solution… if we bring back Lorna…

Madam Mayor, Your Highness, I am not suggesting Chanel or Bonnie or Hattie, for that matter. There are plenty of other actresses who could have fallen victim to… the hotness of Alex Kiriakis. I mean, that rocking body, those bedroom eyes.

“You listen to me, Regan. “You can throw your little schoolyard innuendos “in my face all you want, but you will never shake “my faith in Arrow, because we have been through “a long and tortured road, and we are finally together in every way.”

Oh, it’s going fine. Even though Chanel and I haven’t shot any scenes together yet, the photoshoot went smoothly, so not expecting any problems.

Yeah, no, nonstop stressful, actually. First, it starts out with us not being able to get coffee because she’s worried that we’re gonna miss our flight. So we get to the airport three hours early, makes me throw out my toiletries because she doesn’t want to waste time checking bags. Damn, I had some expensive moisturizers in there.

And then… we got through security with hours to spare. And all she wants to do is gossip about the other passengers, making, like, snide comments about what they’re wearing, you know, things like that. She doesn’t even let me watch the shows that I downloaded. [chuckles] Are you even listening to me?

No, not really. And no offense, but you are aware that other people have problems as well, right?

Who is all grown up and quite a handful, I might add. Oh, she is stubborn, and she’s feisty, and she’s– oh, she is full of you-know-what and vinegar.

All right, she’s a lot like her mother, the poor kid. But Bonnie, she has a knack for getting herself into the messiest of situations.

So your wife is cheating on you?

Well, now, correct me if I’m wrong now, but isn’t Alex the reason you had to come over not too long ago and use my shower because Johnny got all jealous about you two shooting those love scenes together?

No, no, no, that was the photoshoot. But we talked that out. We talked it out. It was fine.

Well, I talked to him later that day, and he admitted that it’s been harder on him than he expected.

Right, and I understand that. But what I think is that we just– once we get this first bedroom scene done and over with, everyone will realize that it is all okay, and that it is not a threat to anyone’s marriage or relationship. It’s make believe.

Oh, so you didn’t shoot the love scene yet?

No, I thought I told you. We had to put it on hold because of the whole situation with my back.

Well, on hold till when?

Tomorrow. Okay, but I think that what is really getting to Johnny is the anticipation of it also. I really do believe that once said love scene is over and done with, everything is gonna be just fine. [tense music]

No. Stephanie and I aren’t–we’re not getting back together, Dad. It didn’t work out the first time. There’s no reason why it could the second. And if you may remember, I was just married to Theresa about five minutes ago. And on top of that, Stephanie just lost somebody that was really important to her.

Everett?

Mm-hmm.

I don’t mean to be insensitive, but Everett is gone and so is Theresa.

Touché. But it doesn’t matter, Dad. You know, I just don’t think Stephanie and I are really meant to be. It’s just not like that. [soft dramatic music]

Okay, so what is it like?

Obviously, I wanted to confront him, right? My–my wife and the guy that she was having sex with. And I wanted to walk in there and just beat him to a pulp, you know? And I just– I don’t know, I went numb. I was in shock.

I get that. What about the next time you saw her?

When I saw her later, I thought– I thought that she was gonna confess, you know, tell me it was just some horrible mistake and beg for my forgiveness.

Well, would you have been okay with it if she had?

No. Obviously not, okay? But at least I could have maybe worked past it eventually. But instead of being honest with me and contrite, she just– she acted like nothing even happened. She just lied right to my face.

And then what?

Then she snuck out to see him again the next day.

Oof.

Yeah. Told me she was going to run an errand. Really, she just went over to his apartment. I saw her leave. Heard her make him swear not to say anything. Heard her call me clueless even.

Whoa. Okay, I’m sorry, but this woman sounds like a stone-cold bitch.

But she’s not, though. You know, if you would have asked me a month ago if she was capable of doing something like this, I would have said no way in hell. Now it’s like I don’t even know who she is anymore. And even though– I don’t know, the reason that I’m not confronting her, you know, telling her that I know she’s cheating on me, that I saw her, that I walked in on her cheating on me–

Yeah? What’s the reason? [sultry jazz music]

I guess it’s, uh– I feel like if I– if I actually say it, if I put it out there, then it’s real. And I would still give anything for it not to be.

Okay, so the goal is to get through this love scene and then surprise Johnny with a party. And since Alex is going to be helping with that surprise, then maybe Johnny will feel better about him. And then we can all move forward as friends.

Okay, love scene, first of all. That’s what I prefer to call it. And second of all, Mama, you’re not helping.

Well, Chanel, darling, I just– you know, I want you to have realistic expectations.

Okay. How am I being unrealistic, Mama? I truly believe that once we have gone through this experience together of Johnny directing, Alex and I acting in this lovescene, then it is just gonna be a million percent easier moving forward.

Yes, a million percent, okay? After we do this, all the weird tension and hurt feelings, that will all be over with. After tomorrow, it is going to be smooth sailing all the way.

What’s it like between Stephanie and me? Mm. Well, as you know, Dad, I was on a pretty low place when I moved back in here. Stephanie kept– she kept me steady. She helped me through the dark times. I just can’t stop thinking about… what it was like when we were together and… how badly I screwed things up, man. I was an idiot. I hurt her very badly. It took us a long time just to get back to a place of being friends again, you know?

Have you had this conversation with Stephanie?

Yeah. Many times. And she agreed that we need to just keep things the way they are.

Except that you are now, as you just described it, sort of, kind of more than friends? [soft dramatic music]

No, I have not asked Alex if he has feelings for me, because first of all, how embarrassing would it be if he says he doesn’t? And second of all, I haven’t forgotten the old Alex. He was a player and a very bad boyfriend.

Mm. Yeah, for five minutes. Through no fault of his own, so yeah, I do– I do believe that he has changed. But how much? I mean, this is a guy who has had multiple threesomes. He seems very comfortable with the friends-with-benefits thing. [sighs]

Yeah. Turns out, she and Brady were drinking the night of the accident and my mum was behind the wheel when they hit Sarah. And then rather than own up to what she did, she decided to frame Brady.

Well, I just got back from a business trip to Chicago.

Well, I just got back from the police station, where your brother didn’t want to release Brady. But Sarah and I, we managed to change his mind.

Yeah, but technically, Xander, it was Brady who alerted the police to your mother’s guilt. So I mean, you and your wife, I mean, you didn’t do anything to get Brady free.

The hell are you trying to say, Kristen?

Well, I think it’s pretty obvious, Xander. I’m gonna keep the serum.

I don’t know! He wanted you to be in torment, Chad. And he wanted your money.

[scoffs] This is about money? That’s why you pretended to be a dead woman, why–why you pretended to care about me?

I did not pretend that! Not that. I don’t expect you to believe what I’m saying, but I need you to know that I actually have feelings for you. I really do. [dramatic music]

Yeah, and she would have succeeded if Xander hadn’t have come home when he did.

Well, Xander, I’m gonna put this into simple terms. This was supposed to be a quid pro quo. You didn’t deliver on the quo.

So you’re not gonna give us the damn serum?

I didn’t say that. [chuckles] It’s your lucky day. I am feeling very generous. No, I will give you the miracle serum to cure Sarah’s paralysis.

Actually, Xander, it’s self-preservation. You see, I just came back from a very disturbingly tense meeting with the DiMera board. [sighs] And they expressed dissatisfaction in the current revenue stream and projections, a not-so-subtle way of saying that they are losing confidence in me as CEO.

[scoffs]

Now I have to pull out all stops. And if I have control of Titan…[chuckles] Well, then they would obviously regain their confidence in spades. And I will be the most successful CEO DiMera has ever had.

Well, I’m sorry to burst your bubble, Kristen, but I’m never giving you my father’s company.

[scoffs] [breathes deeply]

We all know how badly Xander wanted revenge because he believed that I had hit you with my car. He was planning on breaking both of my legs. It’s not a far stretch to think that he would have taken it one step further and maybe ended my life.

See, that night, I– the night I was arrested, I ran into this–this man. He claimed to know me from AA, but I’d never met him before. And when we shook hands, he… pricked me with–with his ring. And shortly thereafter, I was completely out of it. Everyone thought I was drunk, but I– I knew that I hadn’t touched a bottle since the night of the accident. So I assumed I had been drugged.

And then that night when the police came to my house, they caught Xander hovering over me in my bedroom. He said he was just there to confront me. I think he was there to… finish me off. Luckily, because you called the police, they stopped him from doing that.

Yeah, well, that’s what I thought initially. [scoffs] Oh. But it turns out, those pesky clinical trials and FDA approvals can take years. So if I even make a profit on this damn serum, one of my brothers could have taken my place in the CEO’s chair. So I have to act right now.

Surely, you understand, Kristen, my father left his company to me to take care of. It was his life’s work. I can’t just hand it over to the daughter of his greatest enemy.

It’s just so sad. I mean, even though he knows that he was brainwashed and he wasn’t really responsible for her death, he just carries around that tremendous guilt.

Oh, we really do. You know, when I first met you, I thought you were kind. I thought you were fun. I thought you were, you know, misunderstood. How in the hell could I have been so wrong? I keep thinking about the night– the night and the morning of the accident– how I called you in a panic because I thought that I had hit Sarah, and you told me to not jump to conclusions, Brady. Don’t turn yourself in, Brady. You made me feel innocent, even though when I didn’t believe that I was, even though now we know that you knew I was. And instead of coming forward, what did you do? You hung me out to dry. So my question is, why did you do that to– no, I have a better question. How could you do that to Sarah?

All she’s never done my whole life is disappoint me. You know, when she abandoned me, I was– you know, I was just a little boy. But even then, some part of me somehow understood that it was the best thing that ever happened to me. And yet when she showed up here in Salem claiming to have changed, I just– I just forgot about all the– the bad times and the terrible disappointments. And I just– I just turned back into that stupid little boy who wanted his mum.

Baby, I’m so sorry. I encouraged her to come here. I’m so sorry.

What are you sorry for? You didn’t– you didn’t do anything wrong. Your heart was in the right place like it always is. I mean, Sarah, when she first showed up at our– our wedding, or what was supposed to be our wedding, and she told me that I am Victor’s son and heir, I– Finally, I just felt so vindicated, so, well, self-important. And then as she started to just work her way into our lives, I– well, from then on, I just only let myself see what I wanted to see, which is my mum. She’d somehow transformed into a person of character, someone I could trust.

I should have seen through it. I know who she is, who she was, how she treated me when I was a child– How she could just abandon me without looking back. How could I not see the signs? How could I not see that she was just the same heartless drunk she’s always been?

Because it wasn’t obvious. It wasn’t obvious at all. She hid it really well.

But I’m her son. I should have known. My god, Sarah, I– I left her all alone with our daughter. I– I trusted her with our little girl. What the hell was I thinking?

Do not do that. Do not do that. She never hurt Victoria.

It’s you who she hurt so terribly. And that– that breaks my heart.

Please– please don’t let it. Please, all she did to me was remind me how awful she is. But you– look at what she did to you. Of course, I did. I deluded myself. I should have known that my mum wasn’t sober. Should’ve known she’s still the same wretched human being she’s always been, who clearly just passed on all her wretched genes to me. I was so enraged at Brady, I was going to murder him. And then you had– you had to lie to the police to save him from me. And you may have to– you might have to face the consequences of that. You might have to pay the price for what I did.

No, no, no. I am not going to be charged with perjury, I– especially now that I remember seeing Fiona behind the wheel. When– when EJ threatened me, when he wouldn’t let me retract my statement, I didn’t remember. But now, we have proof. She– she confessed to us.

Yeah, to us. God knows what she’s saying to the cops. When Jada showed up here last night to arrest her, she– she did that before we called . How– how could she have known?

It must have been Eric. He was grilling me earlier about the accident and maybe he went to the police.

Well, we have to go and set the record straight and get Brady out of jail. And not just because he doesn’t deserve to be there, but because it’s still the only way Kristin will give us Rolf’s serum, which is the only way to heal your injuries. And that’s the priority, yeah? But after that, when you’re all better, by God, we will make my mum pay for what she’s done. [tense music]

Brady, that was the last thing I wanted for you or for Sarah.

Then why– why did you drink and drive and hit Sarah and then leave her on the ground not knowing whether she was dead or alive? Hey, why didn’t you speak up when I was arrested? Why did you let me take the fall? My last question is, what did I do to deserve this, Fiona?

Nothing. You didn’t deserve this. Of course, you didn’t. And now, for what it’s worth, and I know it’s not much, you at least deserve to understand.

Brady, I wasn’t drunk that night. I was just tipsy. And so I thought it would be safer for me to drive you home than to let you get behind the wheel.

Probably would have been safest just to get a cab.

But that night I thought– I thought we’d be OK. And it was so dark, and– and Sarah, she just appeared out of nowhere. And it all happened so fast. And then when I realized I’d hit someone, I panicked. And when I realized it was Sarah, I panicked even more. Because I knew that if Xander found out, it would be the end of our relationship forever.

I see, so you thought, better– better ruin Brady’s life rather than mine, right? Is that the thinking?

No, it wasn’t premeditated. You were passed out on the seat next to me. And then I just– [panting] –I waited for some help to come for Sarah before I left her there. And then– then my foot went down on the pedal, and then we were gone. My mind was racing and my world was about to end. And there you were, blissfully ignorant!

And then the idea started formulating in my mind before I was even cognizant of it. I’d done some research on– on Xander’s Salem family after I came to town, and I knew that Maggie had been involved in an accident and framed it in a similar manner.

Wow, that’s– that’s– that’s how you got the brilliant idea. Wow.

That’s how I got the terrible idea– the cruel and heartless idea to drive you home to the parking garage and put you in the driver’s seat.

You didn’t just put me in a driver’s seat. You put me in– you put me in hell. You put me in a guilt-ridden hell right up until I found out the truth. And now it’s your turn to suffer. It’s your turn to be in hell.

She used to come into the bistro. And she was nice at first, really friendly. She even gave me her cheesecake once when I was overworked and totally starving, invited me to come sit with her.

Yeah, because she was nice, like I said. And I don’t know, she seemed kind of lonely, like she just wanted someone to talk to, I guess.

Well, we talked about you a little. I mean, she asked me if I was dating anyone. And–

Well, no, no, it’s not what I want. But even if I could forgive Tate for taking his dad’s side for hitting my Aunt Sarah and just driving off, I’m not too sure he’s going to be able to forgive me.

Well, I, kind of, was going through his dad’s room looking for evidence to use against him in the hit-and-run, and Tate caught me. And to be honest, I broke into Brady’s briefcase.

Yeah, I see.

Yeah. And to top it all off, my– ex-BFF Sophia is making a move on him and I don’t know. Pretty sure Tate is, like, into her too, so it kind of feels all hopeless, you know?

Yeah, it seemed like she was being playful or something, like, it would be a little inside joke between us. But get this, I ran into her in the square and she asked me how things were going with the guy I like. So I mentioned you, by name this time, and she freaked.

Why would she freak?

I guess I never said your name before, but this time I did. I said, Tate. And I said that you were dating Holly. And that’s when she lost it. Because apparently she lives with Holly’s family and was worried that they would all find out she had a drink at the bistro, that I would tell them. She even threatened me.

No way.

She said it was important I keep my mouth shut because her family thought she was sober. Now I know it was more than that. She also didn’t want them to know that she mowed down Sarah when she was probably smashed out of her mind.

Brady, I prayed that no one would identify your car. I prayed that you wouldn’t be implicated.

OK– I’m– OK, starting to understand here. You setting me up was your fail safe so the cops wouldn’t find you. But what about what I would think? If the cops didn’t track us down, I would just go on believing that I was guilty of this for the rest of my life.

Look, when Sarah came through her surgery and we all thought she was going to be all right, I fully intended to set the record straight. But then when we realized she was paralyzed and knowing that it was all my fault, I just couldn’t.

No, you could’ve. You could have. You could have! You just decided not to.

EJ, we, uh– we need to talk.

If you’re here to defend your mother–

Oh, she can rot in hell for all I care. We’re here to make sure that you release Brady now that you have my mother in custody.

Well, there has to be some reason behind Sarah changing her story the other day and why you two have suddenly become so desperate for me to release Brady. So until I know the whole truth, I will do no such thing.

Brady, when your car disappeared and EJ released you, you have no idea how relieved I was. And I’m so sorry that Xander tried to take the law into his own hands, but I put a stop to that, too.

Oh, you– you did. You did. Am I supposed to say thank you to you? Is that what you want to hear? Your son almost broke my legs for something that you did. And what about Jennifer’s reaction to seeing her, her own mother? So I came to the hospital yesterday, and I asked Dr. Greene to rerun the DNA test.

You did not. We talked about that. It is a violation of Abigail’s rights to run her DNA without her knowledge. You had no right to do that.

I didn’t have her DNA tested. I brought in new samples. And I told Dr. Greene they belonged to Abigail and Thomas.

But they didn’t?

No, they belonged to you and me. Dr. Greene was happy to run the test.

On our samples.

Yeah, but of course, he didn’t know that.

Well, he mentioned that the lab still had the original samples from Abigail and Jack.

I wasn’t gonna steal a sample from Abigail. But since she consented to give us that sample in the first place, I am just going to rerun the test, proving the authenticity of the original sample. It won’t be a violation of anything.
