Jada told Rafe that she slept with another man. She explained to him why and when it happened but didn’t want to tell him who it was. Rafe wanted to know if it was someone who knew. Jada said she slept with Shawn. She let him know what Arnold put her throw, but Rafe said it wasn’t him. Jada told him that she and Shawn were lost, but Rafe thought Shawn used her to get back at Belle. She said Shawn wasn’t using her. Rafe was furious that she didn’t tell him before and wasn’t sure if he would be able to trust her. She thought his reaction wasn’t fair because she was telling him now. Jada said she loved him and was telling him the truth. She said he deserved to know what happened and told him she and Shawn were hurting. When Jada said she thought Rafe turned on her and cost her her job, Rafe said it wasn’t him. Rafe said she should have known that. He wondered how she thought so little of him that she would have believed he would do those things to her. Jada said she didn’t know that he was replaced by an imposter. When she said Arnold put her through torture, Rafe said she gave up on him. Jada asked if he forgave Sami when Arnold did this before. Rafe said she wasn’t honest with him. She agreed with him and said this was where they were now and wondered if they could fix it to which Rafe said they couldn’t. He said he needed space and time and wanted to go home alone. EJ was happy to see Belle at the mansion but wondered what changed her mind about seeing him. She said she threw him out because she was going through a lot. EJ said she wasn’t lying about his feelings for her. He said he would never hurt her, but she reminded him that he hurt the people she cared about. She said she could forgive that but not dishonesty and wanted him to admit what he did to Jada and Rafe. When EJ wouldn’t tell her what he did, she drove it home that she needed to trust him. She said she wanted him to admit what he did if he wanted a future with her. EJ tried to seduce Belle, but she stopped him until he could admit to what he did. He told her he had nothing to do with what happened to Rafe so she was wearing a wire for nothing. Belle denied wearing a wire, but EJ didn’t believe her. He said it would explain her attitude change. Belle kept denying that she was wearing a wire. EJ wanted her to prove it by stripping. They continued to talk until she walked out.

Kristen went to check on Brady to find out about John. Brady told her what was going on. She told him that her mother is missing because of EJ. Brady was upset that she left Rachel in the house with EJ. Kristen said Rachel was family, so she was safe. Brady ended up telling her that he and Ava broke up because of EJ and Rachel and thought Kristen was okay with it. Kristen denied having anything to do with it. They talked about John being missing. Kristen assured him that John would be okay. Steve went in the office at the facility and shot the assassin. He looked in the office. Marlena showed up and saw the dead man who might be John. When Marlena lifted the man’s head and saw that he wasn’t John. The man was also not dead. He let them know who he was. Marlena asked him if he has seen John. The man said John was there but the men too him with the device. He said he was shot because he helped John. The only thing he said was Rosebud before he died. Paul ended up showing up. He and Steve wondered why Marlena was there. She told them about Orpheus and they all went back to the reference room to see if there was a file. Steve and Marlena looked through the paperwork. Paul went back to the hotel. Marlena found something and showed it to Steve. He said he would send it to the ISA. Orpheus pulled a gun on Andrew and made fun of him for being a terrible agent. Andrew told him he wouldn’t get away with what he’s done. Orpheus said he would kill him. When Orpheus was about to shoot Andrew, a gun shot went off. Orpheus fell to the ground. Paul ended up shooting him. Andrew was glad to see him. Paul asked Orpheus about Rosebud. Orpheus said the word meant nothing to him which caused Paul to threaten to kill him. When Kristen went home, she wanted EJ to tell her where her mother was. EJ refused to answer her. Kristen left and said it wasn’t over and walked off. She pulled out the gun from her pocketbook.

Marlena talked to Belle to catch her up about John. Orpheus arrived after she finished her phone call. Marlena was shocked to see him and wondered why he wasn’t in prison. She told him about the nuclear device that’s for sale. Orpheus was glad that she understood what was happening. The plan was to get rid of her and John for good. Putting two and two together, Marlena realized that he was the reason why John was missing. He told her that he knew where John was. She demanded to know where she could find John. Orpheus thought she should be more concerned about herself and pulled a gun on her. Marlena wanted more information about John. He was tired of her and John bothering him. Orpheus was about to pull the trigger when Marlena blocked his shot with a suitcase. Steve looked through secret files and saw Orpheus’ picture. Andrew and Paul arrived after getting rid of the guards. Steve showed them the file he found about Orpheus. It turned out that Orpheus was behind the operation. The trio realized why John got mixed up with the operation. Steve read that someone infiltrated the organization and believed that John was at the facility. He wanted to find John with Paul since Andrew is ISA. Paul agreed to help Steve. Steve wanted Andrew to check on Marlena. Andrew went to check on Marlena to tell her who was behind the operation. Marlena let him know that she knew about it. She opened the door and Orpheus was unconscious. Marlena subdued him. Andrew filled her in about Steve and Paul looking for John. He planned to take Orpheus to the police station. Marlena wanted to go to the facility. Andrew warned her that it wasn’t safe, but she didn’t care. He threatened to arrest her. She called his bluff and wanted to know how to get to the facility. Jada wanted a file from Shawn. He congratulated her for getting her job back. Shawn kept his distance from her after what happened between them. She told him that they were still friends. Rafe doesn’t know what happened between them, and he never will find out. She thought the truth would hurt Rafe.

Belle got a text from EJ. He said he missed her. She became annoyed after reading his text. Jada arrived at the townhouse and asked for her help taking EJ down. Belle wanted to help, but she had to recuse herself from the case since Jada told everyone that she was with him. Jada thought she could still help with the case. She suggested that Belle wear a wire. Belle reminded her that her relationship with EJ was over. Jada believed she could change EJ’s mind about that. Belle looked at her phone and realized it was possible. Rafe was determined to make sure that EJ paid for what he did. EJ was waiting for Belle’s response to his text. Rafe snuck into the DiMera mansion. After EJ walked out of the room, Rafe planted a mic on a statue. Rafe tried to sneak out, but EJ caught him. He said he was there to see Johnny. Rafe managed to distract EJ by reminding him that he lost his son and Belle. He tried to get EJ to spill his secrets. EJ felt like he didn’t need to feel guilty about anything. He wanted Rafe to leave. Shawn was in the interrogation room with JJ. They talked about Julie’s necklace. JJ said that Julie wasn’t sure if she was pressing charges. Shawn made a comment about people getting away with their crimes. JJ realized he was talking about EJ. Shawn told him that Jada had a plan to get EJ. They segued into a conversation about Jada. Shawn let him know that Rafe didn’t know about him being with Jada. JJ wondered if Shawn had feelings for Jada. Shawn managed not to answer him but said they were friends. Jada was working in her office when Shawn arrived. He let her know that Belle was on her way to EJ’s place. Shawn let her know that JJ knew about what happened between them. He assured her that JJ could be trusted. Jada didn’t like how their secret was out. Stephanie and JJ knew about it. She didn’t want Rafe finding out from someone else. Jada realized it was time to tell Rafe the truth. Rafe arrived as she was about to call him. Jada asked Shawn to leave the room. She asked Rafe to sit down. Belle arrived at the DiMera mansion. She told EJ that she missed him too. Andrew called the ISA to take Orpheus. While he was on the phone, Orpheus disappeared. Steve searched the facility and heard a gunshot. He ran into the room and found a gunman and a man slumped on a desk. Marlena arrived after Steve. She wondered if the man was John.

Steve waited for his contact to meet him. While he was waiting, Andrew showed up. Andrew said his father sent him to watch out for everything. He said he wanted to do everything he could to help find John since Paul was his fiancé. While he was talking, Andrew said he knew more about John’s disappearance than Paul knew. When Steve wanted to know what Andrew knew, he said it was classified. Steve understood but reminded him that he was an agent and could be trusted. Andrew decided to tell him what he knew. He said it was too dangerous to tell Paul and Marlena. Paul went to see Marlena and they talked about John and what was going on with him. While they were talking, Marlena said Paul risked his life to save John from Orpheus. Steve and Andrew went to see Marlena and Paul to tell them someone was building a nuclear device in Tallinn and John found the facility where it was being housed. Andrew said he knew where it was. Marlena tried to stop the guys from going to the facility, but it didn’t do any good.

Philip went to the pub to talk to Kate. She warned him that EJ wanted to hurt one of her children because she was out for blood. Philip told her he would be careful but thought his life was over anyway. He told her Xander thought he was having an affair with Stephanie. When he told Kate that Alex tried to choke him out, she said it was better than losing the company. Philip said he didn’t think Stephanie would risk her relationship for hm. Kate suggested that he talk to her. He reluctantly agreed to talk to Stephanie. Sarah asked Xander why he would tell Alex that Philip was sleeping with Stephanie. Xander wondered why she was upset about it. He said he didn’t intend to Alex, but he overheard Xander confronting Alex. Sarah asked why he didn’t stall him to which Xander wondered why. When she asked what happened, he told her what went on. Sarah realized why Alex was at Stephanie’s apartment. Xander thought Stephanie would tell the truth. Sarah said she hoped Stephanie would let go. When Xander kept saying that Stephanie betrayed Alex. Sarah wanted to change the subject, but Xander kept bringing it up. When Xander said he wanted to check on Alex. A horrified Sarah said she would go him. Alex wanted Stephanie to tell him the truth. Stephanie said the secret wasn’t her cheating on him. She asked if he could trust her and leave it at that, but he said he couldn’t. Despite her protests, Stephanie told Alex about the forged letter and Philip stealing half of Titan. She said Sarah convinced her to keep quiet. When Stephanie asked him to keep the secret, he refused to do it. Alex said Xander deserved to know the truth. He said it was personal because he fell for a forged letter too. Stephanie said Sarah and Xander’s marriage would be over. She told him why Sarah went along with the lie. Alex said Sarah should have trusted her husband. Stephanie said if he told the secret the stability of Titan would be gone, and his job would have been too. Alex was determined to tell Xander the truth. Before Stephanie could convince Alex not to say anything, Philip showed up. When Philip was about to say something, Alex yelled at him and told him he knew everything. He called Philip a liar and a fraud. Philip said he felt bad about lying to Xander, but they were making it work. He said they were close to taking DiMera and warned Alex not to say anything so they could protect Victor’s legacy. While they were talking, Xander and Sarah showed up. Alex said it was time for the truth to come out. Before Alex could say anything, Stephanie admitted to having an affair with Philip. Steve, Andrew, and Paul went to the facility. When Steve went in the office and saw a folder, he said he should have known. Marlena talked to Belle on the phone. When she got off the phone, Orpheus was behind her. Marlena was shocked to see him.

Holly told Doug that Julie told Maggie that he stole the necklace. She said Tate was the one who told Julie. Doug apologized for stressing her out and blamed himself for what’s going on. Holly told him it was Tate’s fault. When Doug tried to defend Tate, Holly didn’t want to hear it. She told him he could stay at the mansion for now because Maggie didn’t say he couldn’t. Holly left to confront Tate. Doug went to the Bistro to talk to Ava about an assistant manager position. While they were talking, they talked about Holly and Tate. Doug told her that Tate snitched on him to Julie. Sophia thought it would be good for him because Holly would be free to be with him. Doug said it would be good for Sophia since she wanted to be with Tate. They continued to talk about Tate and Holly. JJ showed up at Tate’s place to question him about the necklace. Tate was surprised that Julie involved the police. JJ said he was a part of the investigation now. Tate asked if Doug was getting arrested. JJ said he would be arrested if Julie pressed charges. He told Tate that he would be in touch with him soon. When JJ left, Holly showed up and confronted Tate about snitching on Doug. Tate said he did it to protect her, but she didn’t believe him. She said he did it to hurt Doug. They got into an argument. Tate was surprised to find out she gave Doug money to pay off his debt. Holly told him that he hated Doug since New Year’s Eve. She said it was Tate’s fault that Doug’s relationship with Julie was over. Tate said it was Doug’s fault. When Tate said he talked to the police, Holly ended up breaking up with him.

Melinda went to Gabi’s office to talk about the article in the Spectator. Gabi said she was glad that EJ was getting exposed. Melinda said Kristen was involved too. She told Gabi that if Kristen was in trouble, Gabi’s business as well as others would be in trouble too. Melinda said everyone was cutting ties with the company and the stock plummeted. While they were talking, JJ showed up. He said Doug stole the necklace. Melinda asked if he was sure to which JJ said it was corroborated. Melinda wondered if Holly was the other one involved. JJ wondered what she was talking about. When Melinda tried to leave, JJ told her to give the necklace back. Melinda said she couldn’t do that. Sarah went to Stephanie’s apartment to tell her they had a problem. Alex came in and offered to help with the problem. They said it was about the hospital fundraiser. When Alex offered to stay and help, Stephanie told him he could go to the office. After Alex left, Sarah told Stephanie that Xander thought she (Stephanie) and Philip were having an affair. She told Stephanie that Xander thinking they were having an affair was better than the truth. Stephanie wondered who it was better for and said it would cause trouble in her relationship. When Stephanie wanted to know what she’s supposed to do if Xander tells Alex, Sarah said to let Alex believe the lie. Stephanie couldn’t believe her and told Sarah to tell her husband the truth. Sarah refused to do that because it has been going on for too long. Stephanie couldn’t believe that Sarah wanted her to risk her relationship for something that had nothing to do with her. Sarah asked Stephanie to say she hooked up with Philip a few times. She said the truth would cost her her marriage and brought up Victoria. When Sarah left, Alex came back. Alex asked Stephanie to tell him that she wasn’t sleeping with Philip. Xander told Philip that he wanted to talk about his secret with Stephanie. A shocked Philip thought he was talking about the forged letter until Xander accused him of sleeping with Stephanie. Before Philip could say anything, Xander told him to fix it before he and Alex fought over it. Philip said the secret wasn’t about him sleeping with Stephanie. When Xander accused Philip of sleeping with Stephanie, Alex walked in the room. Alex demanded to know if it was true. When Philip didn’t answer, Alex grabbed him and yelled at him. Xander pulled them apart from each other. Alex left the room. Xander told Philip to end things with Stephanie. Philip said he would stay away from Stephanie. Tate was upset that Holly broke up with him. Holly said she was breaking up with him for Doug, breaking his promise, and getting stuck with a baby he couldn’t get rid of. She said it has been stress and drama ever since the got back together. Holly told him they weren’t meant to be together. When Sarah went home, she asked Xander if he knew why Alex looked like he wanted to punch someone. Xander said he told Alex about Stephanie and Philip.

Tate regretted telling Julie what Doug did. Sophia arrived at the townhouse to let him know that she was feeling hopeful about the adoption. Her mother had a few more questions to ask. If she approved of the answers, they would be set. Tate was glad, but he was distracted. He told Sophia what happened with Doug. Tate broke his promise to Holly to keep Doug’s actions a secret. Holly was spending more time with Doug than him so he got upset. He wasn’t thinking when he told Julie that Doug stole the necklace. Tate knew that Holly would be upset with him once she found out what he did. Paulina saw Doug sleeping on a bench at the park. She left her bag of food for him. Doug woke up when his phone went off. He told Holly that Julie threw him out. He let her know that it might have been easier if he got a chance to talk to Julie first. Doug thought Melinda was the one who told Julie the truth. Holly put it together that he was homeless and invited him to stay with her. Later Doug arrived at the Kiriakis mansion. Holly wanted him to get out of his wet clothes. He wasn’t sure that Maggie and Tate would be okay with him staying there. Holly planned on asking her grandmother if he could stay there. Julie was sitting in the living room when Maggie arrived. Maggie showed up with lemon bars for Julie and Doug. Julie told her that she kicked Doug out because he stole the necklace. Maggie was shocked to hear that. She wondered why Doug would do something like that, but Julie didn’t care because he was a thief. Doug betrayed her after she allowed him to stay there. He was supposed to be her miracle after losing Doug. Her heart was breaking again. Maggie wondered how she found out the truth. She told Maggie that Tate called her and told her about it. Julie wasn’t sure how he found out, but he told her the truth. She wished she could stop worrying about whether he was okay. They wondered how much Holly knew about it since she was spending time with Doug.

EJ went to Paulina and Abe’s place to see Johnny. Johnny stared at the knife on the table before he let EJ inside. EJ wanted Johnny to come home, but he told him that he was home. Johnny refused to go back to the mansion with him. He didn’t want anything from his father. Johnny yelled at him about what he did to Sami. EJ was thankful that Johnny was here, but he wished he weren’t. EJ begged him to let him talk, and he agreed to listen. He told Johnny that he earned Sami’s love. Sami saw the best in him and managed to forgive him. EJ hoped Johnny would be able to forgive him too. Johnny refused to forgive him. EJ gave up and decided to leave. Johnny stared at the knife again. He said that EJ was dead to him. Paulina and Chanel met at the town square. Chanel thanked her for letting her and Johnny stay with her. She told Paulina what happened with Johnny and EJ. Chanel hoped Amy wouldn’t find out the truth. Paulina said that Amy had no way of finding out what EJ did to Sami. Chanel was scared the adoption wouldn’t happen, but Paulina assured her that it would. Amy arrived while they were talking. She wondered why Chanel was worried. Chanel was able to cover up what she was talking about. Amy told her that she and her husband decided that they were comfortable with the adoption. She reached for her lawyer’s document and saw Leo’s article about EJ and the DiMeras. Amy read about the kidnapping charges and how Rachel disappeared. She asked Paulina and Chanel about what she read. Amy wanted to know why Rachel disappeared before she could testify against him. She continued reading about the DiMeras and wasn’t happy about EJ being around her grandchild. Chanel told her that she and Johnny weren’t living at the mansion anymore. Amy wanted to know why, but Chanel couldn’t tell her. She told Chanel the adoption was off. Amy walked away. Paulina comforted Chanel when Johnny arrived. He wanted to know what happened, and Chanel told him that his father happened. Maggie went home and talked to Holly about Doug. Holly thought Maggie told Julie the truth. Maggie let her know that Tate told her the truth. Holly was upset that Tate betrayed her. Amy went to Tate’s place and told him the adoption was off. She showed Tate and Sophia the article about the DiMeras. They had to find a suitable couple, or they had to raise the baby themselves.

Doug told Holly that Melinda didn’t say anything, but he thought it was time to come clean. Holly didn’t think he should say anything yet, but Doug thought time was running out. He thought it would be worse if someone else told her. Doug wanted to wait until he got the necklace back but he didn’t think it would happen. Holly was worried and thought he would hurt Julie. She thought he was brave for confessing and believed Julie would be proud of him for confessing. Tate called Julie and to tell her Doug stole the necklace. Julie didn’t believe it until he told her he heard it from Doug. Tate ended the call. When Holly went back to Tate’s place, she told him she wasn’t an accomplice anymore. She said Doug promised not to say anything about her when he confessed to Julie about the necklace. Tate told her he had to tell her something. Before Tate could tell her, Holly interrupted him to say that Doug was a good guy and hoped Julie would see it too. When Doug went home, Julie was upset. He asked her if something was wrong to which she said it was. She told him how upset she was over the necklace and how it was a family heirloom. While she was talking, she said she couldn’t believe anyone would steal the necklace for money. She asked if he would know anyone who steal the necklace for money. Julie asked if he stole the necklace. Doug told her he was going to confess to it. Julie didn’t believe him and threw him out of the house.

Brady called Marlena to find out what was going on with John. Marlena updated him and said hopefully they would see John soon. When Marlena got off the phone, Steve came in and said he didn’t have any news. He said his contracts were talking to the locals so they could find out something soon. Steve suggested that they rest. Marlena said she wanted to find John. She said the other times they separated, they knew they would see each other again. While Marlena and Steve ate breakfast, she talked to him about the times she and John saved each other over the years. Steve promised her that he would do whatever it took to reunite her with John. Ava ran into EJ and reminded him about the last time they saw each other. EJ acted as if he didn’t know what she was talking about. Ava flashed back to Melinda giving her the gun and told him she could still get justice. EJ reminded her that Brady could lose Rachel if she said anything. He told her Rachel Blake wouldn’t be a problem for her anymore. Ava let him now that he may feel safe now, but it didn’t mean he was. When Brady showed up, EJ walked away. Brady asked if they could talk, but Ava didn’t want to talk to him. She told him that Rachel Blake was gone so she wouldn’t be a problem anymore. Brady thought that would make him and Ava okay to which she reminded him about his daughter. She said something was always coming between them and said they shouldn’t see each other anymore. Ava said she knew the timing was bad, but she had to protect herself and her heart. Melinda went to the DiMera mansion to get the immunity deal. Kristen told her that EJ made her mother disappear as soon as he finds out about the immunity deal. Melinda told her that EJ had the upper hand, but Kristen said they had to force his hand. EJ showed up after Kristen told Melinda her plan. He wondered what was going on. Kristen told him she would make him CEO to bring her mother back. EJ didn’t believe her. She said having her mother back was more important than the job. Kristen asked if they had a deal. EJ said he didn’t trust her and having Rachel back was too risky. When he walked away from her, she said she would make him pay.

JJ told Julie that she needed proof that Melinda had the necklace that was stolen from the time capsule. Leo tried to talk Melinda into giving the necklace back, but she didn’t want to do it. They threatened each other, but it didn’t change anything. Leo walked away to join Javi, and Melinda had to go to the police station. Julie had proof that Melinda had the necklace from the time capsule. While they were at the station, it turned out that Julie was basically bluffing about having proof. Melinda dismissed everything and walked out of the station. Gabi noticed how happy Javi was, but she was worried about him. Javi told her that the things people say about Leo have been said about her. Gabi conceded and told him that she wouldn’t be a fan of Leo’s. She was willing to give him a chance. JJ called Gabi and asked her to meet him at the Bistro. She left the house.

Holly and Tate were spending time together when Doug reached out to her. She let him know that he wasn’t interrupting anything. Doug filled Holly in about the necklace while Tate rolled his eyes. He suggested that he and Holly go to the park. Doug wanted to come up with a plan in case the cops wanted to talk to them. Holly agreed to meet with Doug. Doug called Julie and found out that Melinda didn’t mention his name to her. He wasn’t happy that Julie planned to find the person responsible for Melinda getting the necklace. Tate was upset that Holly was involved in the stolen necklace situation. He pointed out that Doug stole from his dead grandfather’s wife. Tate wasn’t being a jealous boyfriend. He was worried about her. After Holly left, Tate called Julie to let her know that he had information about the stole necklace.

Rafe and JJ talked about Gabi and how she was upset over what happened with Arnold. JJ said he would make EJ pay for what he did. Rafe told him about the lead he and Jada had. Doug asked for Julie’s advice on how to tell a girl how he felt about her. Julie told him the thing she and Doug did. She told him about Doug taking her to the Bistro and wanted to go there. When they were on their way to the Bistro, they ran into JJ and invited him to go with them. Holly went to see Tate. He told her that Theresa went to California because Kimberly’s leukemia progressed. Holly offered sympathy for him. Tate wondered why she was being nice to him after their fight. Holly told him she loved him. They talked about their fight. Tate admitted that he was jealous of Doug and was afraid of losing her. Holly said nothing was going on between them. She needed someone to talk to since they don’t see each other that much. He told her the adoption may work out, but EJ was the problem. Holly said EJ would be able to fix things with Amy. Kristen told Jada that her mother would take the plea deal after Melinda looked at the deal. Jada warned her that time was running out. When Kristen left, Rafe showed up and invited Jada out to dinner. Jada told him she got Kristen to agree to Rachel’s testimony. Rafe said he was glad she had her job back. He said he would rather have his investigator job. Rafe said he wanted to make her his wife. He said he never made wedding plans with her and hated how Arnold ruined their wedding. While he was talking, he noticed her ring gone. Jada said she thought Arnold still had it. Rafe didn’t care about it because his focus was making her his wife.

Kristen met with Melinda at the Bistro so she could look at the plea deal. Melinda said it was a good deal for Rachel but bad for EJ. She told Kristen to have Rachel sign it and testify. When Julie, Doug, and JJ came in the Bistro, she noticed Melinda wearing the necklace Julie went to the table and asked Melinda where she got the necklace. Kristen walked away from the table. Julie told Melinda she was wearing stolen property and wanted it back. When Melinda laughed at her, Julie asked JJ to arrest her. Melinda said JJ couldn’t arrest her for wearing a necklace that looked like Julie’s grandmother’s necklace. She said she wouldn’t be wearing stolen jewelry. JJ asked where Melinda got the necklace to which she said she got it from a private jeweler. Julie said she never reported it stolen so Melinda said for them to leave. Julie wanted to report it to the police and took a picture of Melinda wearing the necklace. JJ and Julie walked out the Bistro while Doug and Melinda looked at each other. While talking to Rachel, EJ realized Kristen took a deal to sell him out. He went to the safe and took out the serum and warned her that she wouldn’t be testifying against anyone. He let her know what the plan was before he stuck her with the serum. After he stuck her with the serum, he said he wasn’t sure how much she would remember. When he asked if she had anything to say to Kristen, she demanded to know where Kristen was. Rachel pretended to lose her memory until she slipped up. When EJ realized she was pretending, she told him she remembered everything. She admitted that she saw him playing with the serum before, so she switched it out with a placebo. Rachel said she would be testifying against him after all to which EJ said she wouldn’t be and went towards her. When Kristen came home, she wondered where Rachel was. EJ said he didn’t know. He said she left without saying a word. Kristen realized he was up to something and knew he was lying. She asked where her mother was. EJ told her not to worry when there was nothing she could do about it. When he left, Kristen picked up Rachel’s gun. At the police station, Julie asked JJ how Melinda got the necklace. Melinda warned Doug that she was going to throw him under the bus if something happened to her over the necklace.

Gabi told Rafe that Belle was sleeping with EJ so there wouldn’t be justice. Rafe said he understood why she recused herself from the case. He wanted to go to the police station and see what was going on. Before he left, he told her EJ wouldn’t get away with what he did. Javi came in and told Gabi that Leo was moving in with them. Gabi said he wasn’t moving in. She reminded him of the things Leo did. to Will and Sonny. Gabi said Leo was a monster who hurt people. While Gabi was talking about Leo, Javi let her know that she was in love with him. When Leo came in, she told him to leave. Javi said he would leave if she kicked Leo out. Gabi changed her mind and agreed to let Leo stay but warned him that he would answer to her if he hurt Javi. She left them alone. Paulina went to Jada’s office. Jada told Paulina that she was certain that Rafe was being held at Aremid and told her about what happened with EJ at the DiMera mansion. Jada said Rafe was there and EJ panicked when she went down in the tunnels and moved him. Paulina said she would never get a DiMera to turn against another DiMera. Jada reminded her that Rachel wasn’t a DiMera so they could get her to flip.

At the DiMera mansion, Kristen pulled out Rachel’s gun. Rachel walked in and asked for the gun. When Kristen didn’t give her the gun, Rachel suggested putting it on the mantle. Kristen reminded her that her daughter lived there. Rachel agreed but wanted to keep it as an heirloom. While they were talking, Kristen brought up how Rachel could have taken her away from the DiMeras. When Rachel got upset, Kristen said she was glad to have her back in her life. Kristen said they had to be careful because Jada was investigating them, but Rachel wasn’t worried about it. Jada showed up at the DiMera mansion. She demanded Rachel’s testimony about Rafe. Jada warned her she would go down with EJ if she didn’t give her testimony. EJ went to the pub to confront Kate about telling Johnny how he was conceived. Kate said she didn’t want to tell him, but Johnny pushed him. While she was defending herself, she blurted out that Roman was the one who told Johnny his secret. EJ wanted to hurt Roman, but Kate stopped him by reminding him that he was already in trouble with the police. She told him actions had consequences and blamed him for what happened. Kate reminded him that he hired Arnold to take over Rafe’s life again and tempted fate by working with the man who raped Sami. She said she and Roman would never forgive him. EJ said she was just trying to pay him back to which she said she wasn’t sadistic. She reminded him of all the things that were done to Sami and thought it was time it came out. Kate said people in Salem may have forgotten what he’s done, but she hasn’t. EJ told her she may hate him, but Johnny never needed to know the truth. He said she would pay for opening her mouth. While he was talking, he threatened to expose the things she had done. He said he may ruin her sons’ lives. Kate threatened to kill him if he hurt any of her children. After EJ left, Paulina showed up. Kate told her that EJ threatened her children. Johnny ran into Rafe. They talked about EJ being responsible. Johnny said he wished he could find the proof against his father. Rafe said EJ would go to prison if there was proof of what he did. Johnny said he was happy that EJ would go to prison after what he did to his mother. Rafe thought he was talking about Arnold, but Johnny corrected him and said he was talking about EJ raping his mother. He was surprised Johnny knew about that. Johnny wanted to know why no one told him about it. Rafe apologized and said it was Sami’s story to tell. Johnny said Sami was trying to protect EJ and not him. He questioned how Sami could have married EJ and build a life with a man like that. Rafe said she was his mother and the victim. In Jada’s office, Kristen called Melinda to let her know he needed her. Jada walked in with the immunity deal for Rachel. Kristen refused the deal and said her mother had nothing to do with EJ. Jada asked if Kristen was going to let her mother live her life in a cell. She said she wanted Kristen to sell EJ out. Kristen agreed to the deal but said she wanted her lawyer to look at it first. At the DiMera mansion, Rachel let EJ know that Kristen was working out a deal for her even if it meant he was in trouble. EJ thanked her for the warning and pulled out the memory serum. He let her know that she wouldn’t say anything to the police.
