Tate went to the Kiriakis mansion to take Holly to school. Things took a turn for the worst when he mentioned Doug being a thief. Holly defended Doug, but Tate continued to make cracks about him. He didn’t understand why she kept defending Doug. She said Doug was a good guy who didn’t want to hurt Julie. Tate wondered what she meant by that. Holly admitted that Doug stole Julie’s necklace. Tate was shocked that Doug stole the necklace. Holly let him know that Julie didn’t know Doug stole the necklace. She begged Tate not to say anything. He agreed to keep the secret. They ended up fighting when she said he should understand Doug’s situation after getting Sophia pregnant and giving up the baby. He ended up telling her about the meeting with Sophia’s mother. Holly asked if that meant he was going to have to raise the baby with Sophia. When he said he didn’t know, she decided to take the bus to school. Doug went to see Leo to find out about the necklace. Leo said he found out that a woman in Salem bought it, but he didn’t know anything else. While they were talking, Leo warned him to give up on Holly. He told Doug about Holly and Tate’s relationship. Doug said he had feelings for Holly, but he wasn’t going to do anything about it. While they were talking, Leo got a text from the person who bought the necklace. She was willing to meet.

Steve went to see Marlena to tell her that he heard that John was missing. She said John’s handler lost contact with him more than a day ago. When she told him Shane wasn’t returning her calls, she wondered if that was a bad thing. Steve tried to assure her that it wasn’t a bad thing. Marlena said John needed her. Steve said John could handle himself She said she was going to find her husband and was going to start with confronting Shane. When she let Steve know that he wasn’t going to stop her, he said he wouldn’t. Steve said John was his partner. Ava went to see Brady to apologize for hanging up on him. She asked if he thought CPS would really take Rachel away if Kristen got in trouble. When Brady said they would take Rachel, Ava agreed to help him. They were upset that Kristen was going to get away with what she did but were glad that it was over. Ava said Rachel was determined to keep them apart. Brady said Rachel was making progress in therapy. Ava asked about Rachel Blake. Brady said she was an old woman to which Ava said she was dangerous. He said he didn’t want to talk about it and wanted to be with her. She wanted him to let her know if she could do anything. At the police station, Kristen was on the phone with EJ. She talked to him about her mother. While she was talking, Melinda walked in. Kristen wanted to know where her mother was. Melinda said there was a problem. She said Rachel got into a fight with an inmate. Melinda said Rachel was getting out, but she should be careful with her. She said Kristen was responsible for Rachel and it wasn’t a good look for the company. A police officer brought Rachel to Kristen. Marlena told Steve that she was going to rearrange her patients’ schedule. Steve said he was going to let Kayla know what was going on and pack. He said they would get answers. Marlena picked up John’s picture and said she would find him. Doug ran into Holly at the town square. She told him about her fight with Tate. Doug said he had good news about the necklace. He said the woman wanted to meet him. While they were talking, Melinda showed up and said she was the woman. Tate went home and asked Brady why he didn’t tell him what was going on with his grandfather. He said Andrew told him about John being missing. Brady said everyone was helping and they would get through it as a family. Theresa walked in and asked if that included her.

Alex and Joy told Stephanie that they were going to be working together at Titan. Stephanie flashed back to hearing Sarah talk about Joy’s pregnancy results. When Stephanie started to panic, Alex and Joy said they wouldn’t take the jobs. Stephanie told them they were being silly. Joy said she thought about going to the show, but she took too long to make a decision. She said she had to get a job soon so it had to be Titan. Alex let her know it was fine before he and Stephanie left. Gabi was upset that she couldn’t find anything on her brother. JJ let her know they would find Rafe and bring him home. Gabi was concerned that EJ might have killed Rafe to which JJ said EJ was too smart to commit murder because it would make things worse for him. Gabi said EJ was the only one with the answers they needed. She insisted that they had to find a way to get the answers. He warned her to be careful to which she said she would be. Gabi asked if he was going to Arnold’s room at the Salem Inn. He said he was but warned her not to do anything she would regret. When JJ left, Gabi grabbed Rafe’s gun and said she wouldn’t regret it. Shawn went to Small Bar to talk to Savannah. She said she remembered him from the bachelor party. When he pulled out his badge, she said she quit being an exotic dancer. He said he wanted to question her about the bachelor she slept with. Shawn told her the guy was an imposter pretending to be Rafe. Savannah asked if his name was Arnold. She told him about the last time she was with him. Shawn said Arnold was pretending to be Rafe for months. Savannah said she couldn’t help him because they didn’t do much talking. When they were finished, Shawn left.

EJ told Rita that they gave Rafe too much of the serum and he didn’t have his memory. He said Gabi had a DNA test done on Arnold before Rafe came back. EJ said Rafe was back, but everyone thought Rafe was Arnold and that he still had the real Rafe. Rita warned him that Rolf’s drug only lasted temporarily. EJ said he knew that but was afraid that Rafe would still remember what EJ did. He said Jada and Gabi showed up looking for answers he couldn’t give them. When he asked if Arnold was out of the picture, she let him know that Arnold was in Argentina. While they were talking, Gabi came in. Rita left them alone. When EJ tried to stop Gabi, she pulled out the gun. She demanded that he tell her where her brother was. EJ said she wouldn’t shoot him and risk going back to prison for murder. Gabi asked if he wanted to test that theory and said she would shoot him if she had to. When Gabi said she would wipe off the prints, EJ said Rita saw her coming in. He let her know that killing him wouldn’t solve her problem. Gabi wanted to know where Rafe was. In the interrogation room, Jada wanted answers from Rafe. She told him that Rafe was her boss before he was her fiancé. Rafe remembered the day he hired her. When she didn’t believe him, he told her what happened when he hired her. He told her what he remembered, including that he loved her. While he was telling her the things he remembered, he asked her what day it was and if they were married. She said they weren’t married. He said the last thing he remembered was sneaking into the DiMera mansion and seeing Arnold. Rafe said he didn’t remember EJ or anything else that happened. Jada left the room to check on the fingerprints they took off Rafe. Shawn showed up and said they caught Arnold. Jada told him the person they got was Rafe and explained why she thought he was Rafe. When she got a text, she said he was the real Rafe. When Alex and Stephanie went back to her place, he said it was obvious that she didn’t like the idea of him working with Joy. He said he said he didn’t like it either but after what he did to her; he owed it to her to work things out. Stephanie said she trusted him but was concerned about them being close to each other. She was also concerned about Joy getting attached. Alex let her know that he and Joy had nothing tying them together. When JJ went back to the Hernandez house, he noticed that Gabi and the gun were gone. Before Gabi pulled the trigger on EJ, JJ showed up in time to stop her. He said Rafe was at the police station. Jada went back in the interrogation room and told Rafe it was really him. She said she loved him with all of her heart and kissed him.

Marlena looked at John’s picture and had flashbacks of their time together. She wondered where he could be and what she would tell their children. Brady arrived at Marlena’s office looking for advice about Ava. He noticed that she seemed off so he wondered what happened. Marlena told him that she had bad news for him. John was missing. Marlena told him about her conversation with Shane. She said that Shane was trying to find John. They don’t know if John is alive or not. Brady gave her a hug. She apologized for worrying him. He was grateful to have her. Marlena told him that the ISA were going to retrace John’s steps, and they have their best people looking for him. Brady wondered if Paul knew what happened to John. Marlena let him know that he didn’t know. She had to tell Paul and Belle because she didn’t know either. He would tell Paul if she told Belle. Marlena appreciated him doing that. He wanted them to stay positive about finding John. Kayla talked to Stephanie about the flash drive she gave her, but she seemed distracted. Stephanie told her that she overheard Sarah tell someone on the phone that Joy was pregnant. They talked about it. Stephanie thought the drama between her and Alex was over. Kayla told her they didn’t know for a fact that Joy was pregnant with Alex’s baby. Stephanie asked if she could check the lab, but Kayla couldn’t do that. She didn’t know what to tell Alex so Kayla thought she shouldn’t tell him anything. Kayla warned her that the hospital could be liable for HIPAA violations if she told Alex about the baby. IT’s better for Stephanie to keep what she knew to herself. Kayla said that Joy might tell Alex about the pregnancy. Ava and Belle met at the pub to prepare her statement about the kidnapper. Belle planned to prosecute EJ, Kristen and Rachel Blake. Ava wanted to help her put EJ and Kristen away but she couldn’t do it. Belle was confused by that announcement. Ava let her know that she’s not pressing charges because of Brady. Belle didn’t understand so Ava told her that Rachel would get in trouble if she pressed charges. She didn’t plan on prosecuting a child, but Ava told her that CPS would take her from Brady and Kristen if something else happened. Belle understood, but she had to prosecute the case. She thought it might be good for CPS to get involved and let Rachel stay with Brady for a while. Ava was afraid the plan would backfire, and Brady could lose Rachel too. Belle informed her that the case falls apart without her help. She would let criminals go free. Ava knew that, but she didn’t think Brady should pay for what Kristen and her mother did. She wanted to tear Kristen apart the next time she saw her. Kristen showed up out of the blue. Belle thought it was her chance to get her.

Kristen was glad that Ava talked to Brady about everything. She wanted to protect her daughter from selfish people. Kristen looked in Belle’s direction. Belle told her that people believed in justice. Kristen wondered if she had the paperwork ready to release her mother. Belle told her the court was closed so her mother had to spend another night in jail. She left Kristen and Ava alone when she left. Kristen wondered if she had something to say. Ava stood up and slapped her. Belle went to the hospital to visit with her mother. Marlena told her there was some news about her father. Brady was at the DiMera mansion. He called Paul to tell him about their father. Kristen walked in the room with an ice pack. He wondered what happened to her so she told him about what happened with Ava. Brady told her that she was lucky he didn’t press charges against her. After Kristen walked off, Brady called Ava. He wanted to thank her for not pressing charges against Kristen. He was sorry about everything. Ava was sorry too and hung up the phone. Joy talked to Philip about working at Titan. He asked her questions about her qualifications. Philip told her that he had to talk to Xander first. She was hoping he would talk to him soon because she needed the job. As far as he’s concerned, she was hired at Titan. Meanwhile, Alex talked to Xander about getting his job back at Titan. Xander was willing to hire him at the company because they needed more family at the company. Later Philip and Xander met and talked about hiring Joy and Alex. Xander hoped Philip would be okay with Alex being at the company. Philip wondered if Joy and Alex could work together because of Stephanie. Xander thought it was okay for Joy to quit, but Alex was family. He could help them take down the DiMeras. They needed Alex. Joy ran into Alex at the town square. They talked about seeing each other in town since they were staying in Salem. Joy was about to tell him something else, but she chickened out. As they talked, they realized they would be working at Titan together. Stephanie appeared while they talked about working together again.

Marlena asked Cat about Chad. Cat told her about the fundraiser and how Chad was going to use the paper to help. Marlena thought she was putting her in a tough spot having her work with Chad. Cat said she told Chad that she was over him. Marlena asked if she was lying to him or herself. Cat said she had feelings for Chad, but her feelings were better left hidden. While they were talking, Marlena got a call. The call was from Shane. Marlena wanted him to let her know when he found out anything on John. Cat wanted to know what was going on. Marlena said John was missing. She told Cat that John did undercover work for the ISA and was missing for a while and no one knew where he was. Marlena thought it meant he went rogue or something was wrong. Cat said it was like what happened with her mother. She said if her family got a miracle, Marlena and John could too. Marlena said she and John have been through a lot but eventually time would run out. She said she didn’t know what she would do if anything happened to John. Leo wanted Chad to check a draft of an expose he was writing about the DiMeras. Chad said he wasn’t interested, but Leo continued to insist that it would be explosive. Chad decided to print the story on the front page. He wanted Leo to fact check his information because EJ was a lawyer and would come after them. Chad told Leo to leave Rachel out of it. Leo agreed to do it.

Alex ran into Joy at the pub and apologized for the way he handled the breakup. Joy said she would get over their fling. Alex pointed out that she didn’t eat her food to which she said she didn’t have much of an appetite after losing her job at Body and Soul. Alex left her alone. When Joy tried to eat a fry, she ran to the bathroom. Stephanie went to the hospital and told Sarah that she was there to talk about the hospital funds. While they were talking, they ended up talking about Philip’s forged letter. Stephanie was furious that Philip made her and Belle complicit in his fraud. Sarah didn’t like it either, but she wanted Stephanie to keep the secret. Stephanie agreed to keep quiet because of what it would do to her marriage. Sarah told Stephanie that the secret was the best thing. She thought Xander and Philip getting along would keep them from being destructive towards each other. Sarah told her that Xander invited Philip to live at the mansion. They shook and agreed to keep the secret. Philip told Xander that they had the money to take over DiMera. Xander was curious as to why Victor left him in charge of Titan. Philip wondered why he was questioning the will. Xander said there could be problems if they didn’t why Victor did what he did. Changing the subject, Xander said Mr. Shin was meeting with them today. While they were talking, Mr. Shin showed up. Mr. Shin wondered what they wanted. They told him they had a proposition for him about Titan taking over DiMera. Mr. Shin said DiMera Enterprises wasn’t for sale. Philip said there were other ways to make the deal happen. He offered Mr. Shin a powerful position. They told Mr. Shin about the scandals that could affect DiMera. Mr. Shin was confused about who was running Titan. Xander said he and Philip were working together. He asked Mr. Shin to think how the DiMeras would handle a similar situation. Xander asked if Mr. Shin was sold on the takeover. Mr. Shin said he wasn’t comfortable doing this behind Kristen’s back. Philip reminded Mr. Shin that EJ convicted the wrong person for Li’s murder. Xander said Gabi and Kristen treated Li badly. Mr. Shin said he remembered how his son was treated. Philip said Mr. Shin would be in charge of the DiMera component at Titan. Mr. Shin said he wanted everything in writing. Joy went to the hospital and told Sarah that she was having issues with her stomach. She asked if it had anything to do with being poisoned. When Sarah asked if it was the flu, Joy wondered if she could be pregnant. Joy said she was late, but it wasn’t unusual. Sarah asked if she was sexually active to which Joy said she was. She took Joy to a room to get tested. When Sarah was on the phone asking about the results of Joy’s pregnancy test, Stephanie was behind her.

Johnny, Chanel, Tate, and Sophia talked about the baby. Chanel was happy when she found out that Sophia said that she led Sunday School class. Johnny got uncomfortable with the lie. Tate understood if they changed their minds about adopting the baby, but Johnny and Chanel wanted to go through with it. Gabi had the DNA results and ran into Jada. They looked at the test results and realized the person at the house wasn’t Rafe. Jada realized that the man she was about to marry wasn’t Rafe. Gabi thought the switch happened when EJ hired Rafe. Jada thought she was right but said it didn’t prove that Arnold was the one who impersonated Rafe. She wanted to prove he was Arnold before they moved forward with anything. Gabi thought EJ was the other person who could answer their questions. Jada remembered seeing EJ in the tunnels and hearing voices. Paulina went to the DiMera mansion to talk to EJ. She thought about rehiring him as the D.A. Paulina said that Ava named him as an accessory to her kidnapping. EJ couldn’t believe the accusation. She also told him about his involvement in switching Rafe with Arnold. He tried another tactic with her. EJ threatened to expose how corrupt the police department and D.A.’s office are. The accusations would hurt her chance of getting re-elected. Johnny and Chanel arrived home and heard Paulina insulting EJ. Paulina told them that they were arguing about his old job. Johnny and Chanel told them about meeting with Sophia’s mother and that they had to be a supportive, Christian family. Chanel wanted them to get along for Amy’s sake. Paulina and EJ promised they would get along. Amy and Sophia arrived at the mansion.

Everyone at the DiMera mansion got acquainted with each other. Amy knew Nicole, and they were active with their daughter’s activities. She wondered if Nicole was going to be at the meeting. EJ informed her that they were divorced. Paulina said that Nicole was enjoying her life in Paris to get a dig in at EJ. EJ returned the favor by saying that Nicole moved on with a defrocked priest. Johnny walked in the room after he made the statement. He hoped that Sophia and Tate’s baby will be the one that helped his family with Chanel grow. Amy didn’t want to rush with her decision and wanted to get to know everyone better. Chanel walked in the room wearing a black dress and a cross. Tate had cookies from Sweet Bits. Amy didn’t like the name of the bakery. Chanel told her that the name never occurred to her. Amy asked Chanel questions about her necklace. She asked EJ about his family history. EJ told her about his history, and Amy seemed okay with it. Jada and Gabi stormed into the mansion. Gabi demanded to know where her brother was. Jada demanded answers from EJ. Johnny wanted to know what happened. Gabi announced that EJ kidnapped her brother and replaced him with Arnold. Johnny was confused because he thought Arnold was dead. Jada let everyone know that a DNA test was done and Rafe was swapped out months ago. Johnny wanted EJ to tell him that what happened wasn’t true especially after what Arnold did to his mother. EJ swore he didn’t do it. Jada wanted Johnny to show her the tunnels. EJ reminded her that she couldn’t search the tunnels without a warrant. Jada told him that she didn’t need a warrant since she’s not a cop. Johnny showed Jada the tunnels. Everyone looked at each other uncomfortably while everything happened. Tate thought they should meet another day, but EJ insisted they stay at the mansion. He thought Jada wouldn’t find anything in the tunnels. Chanel heard Johnny warn EJ that he better not be involved with the man who raped his mother. Jada came back from the tunnels and said she didn’t find anything. Jada and Gabi weren’t through with him. They stormed out of the mansion. Amy was ready to go. Paulina told her that EJ’s actions weren’t a reflection on Johnny and Chanel. Amy didn’t have time to listen to what she had to say. Sophia and Tate followed Amy out of the mansion. Chanel started crying when she realized that it would be tough to adopt Sophia’s baby. Tate and Sophia begged Amy to let them adopt the baby. He said that Jada and Gabi didn’t find anything. Sophia reminded her mother that Jada was a corrupt cop. Amy was done and didn’t want to step foot in the mansion again. Johnny yelled at his father for destroying his chance of adopting. EJ let her know that Jada and Gabi’s accusations were baseless. He swore he wasn’t holding Rafe hostage. Johnny remembered running into Rafe, and he seemed clueless. He wondered if Arnold was there the entire time. EJ thought Arnold must have replaced himself with Rafe which was why he wanted to investigate Jada. Johnny hoped EJ was telling the truth about that. If he lied, he would never see Johnny, Chanel or their family again.

Kristen walked in the room to tell EJ about her concerns about Ava being out and her mother getting arrested. EJ wasn’t worried about Ava as much as he was about Rafe. Kristen couldn’t believe he was upstairs. They didn’t like how Ava was freed before they could get to her. Kristen wanted to see her mother at the station, but EJ stopped her. Ava told what happened so the police knew who helped with the kidnapping. Kristen said she had a card up her sleeve. Rita sat with Rafe. She checked his vitals and assumed he would be fine. When the serum got in his system he could go back to his life. He might be able to get Jada back. EJ arrived in the room and talked about the plan to wipe out Rafe’s memories of what happened to him. Rita wondered how Rafe could go back to his life, and EJ said they had to get rid of Arnold. EJ let her know that the plan wasn’t his idea. Arnold showed up and knocked Rafe out. Getting his job back as the DA would be hard for him. He might be able to do it without swapping them out. Rita left to take care of Arnold. Brady arrived at the police station to talk to Belle about Ava’s kidnapping and Rachel Blake’s arrest. He wanted to talk to Kristen, but Belle said that Kristen wasn’t arrested. They wanted to do everything by the book. Brady told Belle that EJ was involved in the kidnapping and needed to be arrested too. Belle had a hard time believing what Brady told her. He let her know that EJ arrived and was going to release Ava until Rachel talked to him. Brady thought Rachel had something on EJ. He got Belle to admit that EJ hasn’t changed. Brady warned her to leave him before it was too late. He’s linked to Kristen forever, but she could get away from EJ. Kristen showed up while Brady was talking to Belle. After Belle left to confront EJ, Kristen told Brady her side of the story. She thought their daughter was the reason why she found her mother. Kristen told him that her mother wasn’t mentally stable and dealt with enough. Brady said she could talk to her mother in the interrogation room. No one was in the interrogation room. Brady told her that he would wait for Kristen to get arrested. Kristen told him that wouldn’t work because their daughter was the one who lured Ava to Aremid. If Brady pushed for her arrest, they would lose their daughter forever.

Stephanie and Jada realized that if Arnold was alive, then he didn’t cheat with the stripper. Jada admitted that she slept with Shawn. Shawn came out of the shower and shocked Stephanie. Stephanie wondered if Jada just cheated on Rafe. Shawn explained what happened between them. Stephanie and Jada told him about Arnold. Shawn remembered him, but he died. Stephanie reminded him about what the DiMeras were capable of doing. Jada thought it was possible. If she knew about Arnold, she would have figured everything out sooner. Everything started before New Year’s. She thought EJ was trying to get revenge on her. Jada felt violated by what EJ did to her. Shawn suggested they find out if he was Arnold. Jada wondered what happened to Rafe. Shawn was going to take care of that. Jada felt like she failed Rafe. Gabi wanted Savannah out of the house, but Arnold told her that she was gone. Arnold tried to leave, but Gabi stopped him. She knew he wasn’t Rafe. Gabi demanded to know what he did with her brother. He said he was Rafe, but she knew he was Arnold. Arnold tried to gaslight her, but it didn’t work. She told him about her conversations with Alex and Stephanie. Gabi tried to slap him, but he grabbed her hand. She wanted him to prove he was Rafe by answering some questions. He got the questions wrong. Arnold tried to use the fact that he was in a coma to justify getting the questions wrong. Gabi told him that he had something in his hair and plucked it. She wanted to get a DNA test done. Belle stormed into EJ’s room, but Rafe was gone. She demanded to know what he did, but he acted like he didn’t know what she was talking about. Belle didn’t believe him. She wanted to know what Rachel Blake had over him. He didn’t answer her question. Belle told him that the truth would come out between Ava and Rachel Blake. She couldn’t believe she was a fool to get involved with him again. Gabi arrived at Stephanie’s place. She told Stephanie, Jada and Shawn about her conversation with Rafe. Shawn and Jada left to get answers. Rita arrived at the Hernandez house looking for Arnold. She told him that EJ was going to make him leave the country. Rita gave him what he needed and used her taser on him. Kristen reminded Brady that CPS warned them that they would lose Rachel forever if there was one more incident. She asked him if he wanted that. Gabi and Stephanie wondered why EJ would work with Arnold to get his job back. She was worried about her brother so she went to the hospital to get the DNA test done. Rafe woke up at his house wearing Arnold’s clothes. Jada and Shawn arrived and demanded to know where Rafe was.

Kristen lets Brady know that Ava going after her would cause CPS to take Rachel from them. Brady said CPS would understand that she and her mother used Rachel. Kristen said CPS didn’t understand when they saw him before. She said they would lose Rachel unless what happened at Aremid stayed there. Kristen left to check on her mother. When Kayla went to Marlena’s office, Gabi came in and said Rafe was Arnold. She said EJ did it again. Marlena and Kayla remembered Arnold and what he did. Gabi was able to convince them that Arnold was back which explained his behavior. She said she needed Kayla’s help. When they were at the nurse’s station, Gabi said she could give her Arnold’s hair, but Kayla said she needed something to compare the DNA. It occurred to Kayla that Arnold may not have any relatives to compare the DNA against, but Rafe did. Kayla said it wouldn’t prove that it’s Arnold, but it would prove that it’s not Rafe. She said the lab was closed, but she would rush the results. Belle told EJ that she was done with him and was going to prosecute him. When he tried to flirt with her, she reminded him that Ava’s kidnapping was a serious matter. She said she was taking him down for it. After she finished talking to him, she went to talk to Marlena. She told Marlena that EJ was involved in Ava’s kidnapping and had to prosecute him. Belle said she should be glad it was just one crime. Marlena told her about Arnold being back. A shocked Belle wondered where Rafe was. Belle realized Rachel must have known and convinced EJ not to say anything about Ava. She let Marlena know that she could tell her that she was right. Marlena said people made mistakes. Belle said she chose to ignore the warning signs about EJ. She beat herself up for defending EJ to Shawn.

At the Hernandez, Rafe woke up on the kitchen table. Shawn and Jada came in and asked where Rafe was. Rafe said he didn’t remember anyone or anything. Shawn and Jada didn’t believe him. They accused him of being Arnold and was pretending to have amnesia so he wouldn’t be in trouble. When Jada asked where Rafe was, he said he didn’t know what she was talking about. Shawn arrested Rafe for suspicion of kidnapping. When they took Rafe to the station, Shawn thought Rafe may not be pretending, but Jada thought he was lying. He said he would talk to Rafe again. Jada was determined to find Rafe. Shawn said he would find out what’s going on. Before Jada left, she and Shawn talked about what they did. Shawn told her to focus on Rafe. Kristen went home and told EJ that she wasn’t able to see her mother. EJ wasn’t concerned about that. He let her know that Belle was there and was going to prosecute him as an accessory. Kristen said she made sure that Ava wouldn’t be a problem. She told him about the plan. Kristen said Ava may hate her, but she wouldn’t hurt Brady by making him lose his daughter. EJ wasn’t convinced that Ava would be concerned about Rachel. He asked if she thought Brady would be able to convince Ava to let it go. Kristen believed he would be able to convince Ava because she’s a mother. EJ let her know that Arnold was leaving Salem and Rafe was back at with his family. Kristen told him that the situation with Belle was getting to him. She apologized to him for getting him involved in this mess. EJ didn’t want to talk about Belle and was concerned about Rafe getting the right dosage. Brady went to the pub and told Ava that Kristen wasn’t arrested yet. He tried to convince her not to press charges against Kristen. Ava brought up what Kristen did to her and said she needed to be punished. Brady said Kristen did what she did to protect Rachel. Ava understood what he was saying but she wanted them to pay. Brady didn’t like the idea of Kristen and her mother getting away with what they did, but he had to protect his daughter. He asked her not to say anything. Shawn questioned Rafe, but he didn’t know what Shawn was talking about. Rafe told Shawn that he wanted a lawyer. Gabi went to Stephanie and Jada’s to tell them she was getting a DNA test done. Jada said Rafe pretended to have amnesia when she and Shawn confronted him. Gabi wondered how they were going to find Rafe.
