Michael tells Lauren that he has a plan to diffuse the war between Jack and Victor. Lauren is worried and tells Michael that Victor will be very upset with him if he finds out he went and talked to Jack about what Victor wanted to do. Lauren wants Michael to quit working for Victor so that he won’t get caught in the crossfire of the latest Abbott Newman battle. Michael insists that he has everything under control, and he is hurt that Lauren doesn’t believe that he can handle things.

Summer is shocked when both Chelsea and Sally tell her that they are thinking of leaving Marchetti to take other job offers.

Victoria takes Cole to the doctor because his cough and fever have gotten worse. Claire tells Kyle that Cole is sick and she is worried about him.

Claire wondered why Audra was so rude to her when she came into Crimson Lights. Kyle explains that she was telling him about her new cosmetics company that is starting Vivrante. Claire tells Kyle that Victoria told her that she saw Victor talking to Audra the other day. Claire tells Kyle that she thinks Victor is using Victoria to come after him. Kyle suspects that Victor is the person who is funding Audra’s new cosmetics company. Kyle calls someone to find out everything they can about Audra’s new cosmetics company.

Anna meets Emma’s college professor Dalton who tells her he used to teach at a college in California. Emma later admits to Anna that she tried to get into Professor Dalton’s class when he taught at her college in California, but she never could get in to the class because the class was too competitive. Emma tells Anna that she was glad when she found out that he was teaching at PCU but she didn’t follow him to Port Charles.

Professor Dalton tells Josslynn that he won’t consider her to be his research assistant because he only thinks it’s fair that he give me job to somebody who has been in class the entire semester.

Emma tells Anna that if she does well on her project she has a good chance of being Professor Dalton’s research assistant.

Emma and Gio try to persuade Tracy not to join Drew in his effort to have the city take the piers away from Sonny. Tracy tells Emma and Gio that she doesn’t like Drew but if he can get Sonny our of Port Charles she is going to join his cause. Tracy tells Jason to tell Gio the story of what Sonny did to his brother A.J. Jason explains that even though he didn’t live in Port Charles at the time Sonny told him that A.J attacked Ava Jerome and he killed him to stop the attack. Jason tells Gio that he chose to believe Sonny despite the fact that the Quartermaine’s told him that Sonny’s version of events wasn’t true. Jason tells Gio that he must now make his own choice about Sonny.

Portia gives the ketamine that Brad got for them to set a trap for Dew. Nina gives the drug to the escort and tells her to use the $ 6,000.00 he gave her to leave town and never come back. Jacinda, the escort, heads to the Port Charles grill because Drew is going there to meet with Tracy.

Drew tells Tracy that, if he can put an end to Sonny’s business, he wants to be able to use the Quartermaine name. Tracy leaves and Jacinda slips the drug in Drew’s drink and then Drew asks Jacinda to go to the Savvoy with him. Drew is doing body shots with Jacinda at Savoy while Lulu takes a picture of him with her phone.

Portia calls Nina to tell her that their plan is working better than they hoped.

Sally tells Billy that she is considering his job offer to be his second-in-command at Newman Media. Billy talks to Sally about what is expected of her in the job, and she tells him she will give him an answer as soon as possible but first she has to talk to Summer.

Chelsea tells Lauren she is considering working at Newman Media but only if Sally will take over for her at Newman Marchetti. Lauren tells her to have a plan when she and Sally talk to Summer about leaving the company.

Claire tells Nikki she wants to tell Victor she is moving in with Kyle once they find their own place. Nikki tells Claire she needs to soften Victor up first before she tells Victor she is moving in with Kyle.

Victoria is concerned about Cole’s bad cough and fever, and she wants him to go to the doctor, but he insists that he only has a bad cold and all he needs a pain reliver and rest.

Claire arrives home later, and Cole’s cough is worse, and he finally accepts that he needs to go to the doctor, he coughs one more time really hard and passes out on Victoria’s couch.

Phyllis remains fixated on persuading Daniel to work at Abbott Communications even though Daniel has told her several times that he doesn’t want to work at Abbott Communications. Billy fires Phyllis and tells her to take some time to work through the kidnapping trauma.

Audra persuades Sally to go work with Billy at Abbott Communications and Phyllis overhears Sally tell Billy she has decided to work with him at Abbott Communications, and she goes to the park to cry.

Mariah arrives home from her business trip and Tessa can tell something is bothering Mariah, but Mariah tells her that she is just tired from her flight.

Johnny noticed that Abe and Paulina’s apartment was decorated with baby items. Chanel was excited when she showed him the crib that she wanted to get. She wondered if Belle left the adoption papers. He lied to her and said she was busy and didn’t do it. Chanel hoped that Belle would drop the papers off soon because she thought something would go wrong with the adoption especially since EJ woke up. Johnny told her that EJ didn’t have a choice but to stay away from the baby. He confessed that he meant what he said about hoping his father would die. Chanel became uncomfortable and changed the subject. She told him about the places she was looking at. He thought it was beautiful, but he didn’t want to rush things. Shawn was on the phone with Hope. He tried to talk her into letting him come out to be with his parents. Hope didn’t want him to leave town. Shawn ended the call and told Jada that his father was dying. He blamed himself for shooting his father. Shawn talked to Jada about growing up thinking that his mother was dead. Bo made sure he had a good life. Jada asked him about the houseboat they lived on. Steve told her about his history. Shawn thought it was amazing. He told her that his father was the best man in the world. Jada hugged him as he started to cry. She talked to him about how she felt when she lost her father. Jada was by Marcus’ side when he died. She let him know that he wouldn’t feel any better being by his father’s side. It didn’t help her feel better. Jada said that Shawn was where he belonged. Shawn wanted to take her mind off her problems, but he unloaded his onto her. She didn’t mind helping him and wanted to get some air. Roman and Kayla talked about the auction and how it helped the hospital when Hope called. She let them know about Bo’s condition. Marlena and Steve were outside the pub. They were feeling good that the ISA would bring John back. Steve and Marlena went inside the pub and reunited with Kayla and Roman. Kayla told them about Bo’s condition. She told them that Bo took a turn for the worst. He got an infection from the ventilator. The doctors couldn’t stop the infection. It turned out that Bo has sepsis. Steve wanted to know if they were giving up on Bo. Kayla didn’t want to give up, but the diagnosis wasn’t good for him. She knew someone who worked on a drug for sepsis, and he worked at the hospital. Marlena knew about the doctor too. Kayla said the drug was still in the first stages and hadn’t been tried on humans yet. She and Steve walked out of the pub to get some air. While they were at the town square, Kayla asked Steve if he was okay. He was still trying to process what she told him about Bo. He couldn’t believe that this happened after finding Bo alive two years ago. Steve thought Bo could beat it since he cheated death before. He refused to give up. Kayla felt helpless about the situation.

Marlena and Roman were talking when Johnny arrived at the pub. Johnny and Marlena sat down and talked about everything that happened recently. She let him know that she talked to Sami about what happened. He said talking to his mother helped, but he was done with his father. Johnny wished his father were dead. She warned him that there is an ongoing investigation about his father’s shooting. Marlena didn’t think he should keep talking like that. She liked the idea that the adoption was going to happen after all. There was nothing standing in his way now. Johnny admitted that he’s standing in the way. Marlena wanted to know what he meant and how Chanel reacted to it. He didn’t know how to tell Chanel, Tate and Sophia about it. She told him that not wanting to hurt people was not a good reason to adopt. It wasn’t fair to the baby or Chanel. She advised him to talk to Chanel about the way he felt. Shawn and Jada ran into Steve and Kayla in the square. He felt guilty about what happened to his father. Steve and Kayla assured Shawn that it wasn’t his fault. They were going to get through it together. Chanel waited for Johnny to get home. She wanted to show him pictures, but he needed to talk about the adoption. Chanel looked at him in horror.

At the club, Anita asked Vernon what he was up to. He said she had her chance to have a comeback. She told him her voice has aged to which he said like fine wine. Anita said she didn’t make any decisions yet, but she loved being part of a group. She said she would consider getting back together with the group but the break up wasn’t amicable. Anita didn’t like how she treated Tracy and Sharon. Chelsea went to see Martin while he was having a nightmare. She needed his advice on threesomes. Martin told her he and Smitty were monogamous. Chelsea talked to him about her threesome with Craig and Allison. She said it felt as if Craig felt left out. Martin said straight men liked that sort of thing. Chelsea wondered what it would have been like to be alone with Allison. She talked to him about being with women before, but didn’t want to complicate things. Martin assured her that it would be okay. Later on, Martin and Vernon went to the diner. The told Vernon about his nightmare. Martin said he thought he had the nightmare because of seeing Bill. He said he would do anything he could to stop having the nightmares. Vernon wanted to talk to someone about it but didn’t want to bother Nicole with it. He said there was too much at stake. Martin said he didn’t like the idea of keeping secrets from Smitty, but he brought it on himself.

Derek got his things settled in Ashley’s apartment. They talked about needing more space. While they were getting settled, Jan showed up. She tried to get them to compromise instead of arguing. Chelsea met with Allison and told her that she kept thinking about her. She told Allison that she liked being with her without Craig. Allison said she liked variety to which Chelsea said they should meet one on one. While they were talking, they admitted to their feelings for each other. Leslie told Eva that she saw Vernon and Martin at the club. Eva wanted to know why she was bothering them. Leslie said she lost her virginity to Anita’s music. Eva told her she was playing with fire. Leslie said they all had to pay in cash. She told Eva that she wanted to move into a bigger place. They talked before Eva left to take care of a client. Leslie flashed back to her old life. When her flashback was over, she said she was supposed to be a rich wife and not the life Ted gave her. She wanted to make Ted pay by airing his dirt in public.

Lulu tells Brook Lynn that she won’t tell Dante about his son although she thinks that he should know the truth.

Ava demands a change in the payment schedule so, she and Alexis agreed to because she needs $150,000. Alexis agrees to make the payment to Ava after Ava reminds her that if she doesn’t pay her the money she will send Kristina to jail.

Molly goes to Carly’s place to show Kristina the papers that Diane drew for Alexis to have her committed. Kristina goes to Alexis’s house to show her the papers and ask for an explanation.

Willow arrives at the burn clinic in Germany to see Michael. A nurse at the clinic lies to Willow and tells her Michael doesn’t want to see her. Willow decides to return to Port Charles since she and Michael can’t talk to each other anymore. The nurse later calls Drew and tells him he lied to Willow like he asked her to do. Drew tells her that the payment he promised her will be in her account by the end of the day.

Nina tells Portia that they are going to hire a sex worker to slip something in Drew’s drink that will make him go to sleep then the woman will get into bed with Drew and take pictures of herself in bed with Drew.

The doctor tells Brick and Carly that Sonny’ surgery went well and he will make a full recovery. A woman in a surgical gown, paper cap, and surgical mask slips into Sonny’s room and injects something into his IV.

Gabi talked to Rafe about the money she spent on Alex. She said it might have been a mistake since Philip and Xander might fire her. Rafe told her that Jada wanted him to meet her at the station. He wasn’t sure if Jada forgave him yet. Gabi said she hoped Jada forgave him. When they finished talking, Gabi left to go to work. Rafe got on the laptop and looked at the recording device but the memory card was gone. Brady went to Gabi’s office. She was furious until she realized he could help her out. Gabi wanted Brady to talk Xander and Philip into letting her buy the rights back to Gabi Chic. Since they had Basic Black, they didn’t need two fashion brands. Gabi thought they would listen to Brady because he’s family. Brady asked why she thought he would help her. He said he hasn’t forgiven her and Stefan for doing him dirty in getting custody of Rachel. Also, there was too much going on with his family. He advised her to stick it out.

Jada and Shawn talked about EJ’s shooting and how Ava looked suspicious. Shawn wanted to go to the hospital to question EJ. Jada told him Rafe was stopping by. She also told Shawn that Rafe slept with Sami. When Shawn left, Rafe stopped by. Jada told Rafe their relationship wasn’t going to work anymore. She said she didn’t think they could move past what happened. Jada didn’t think they knew each other that well. Rafe said a lot happened, but he wanted to fight for their relationship. They had good times together. Jada agreed but the trust was broken and couldn’t be undone. She said EJ was at fault for a lot of their problems, but they had problems before. Jada brought up her taking his job. She still loved him but it was over. He said she meant the world to him but it was a good idea to take a break for now. Rafe said he was quitting Black Patch and was going to take an out of town job from his old boss. They told each other goodbye. Belle went to ser EJ at the hospital. He asked if her feelings were real. She admitted that she loved him. EJ said he hoped it wouldn’t fade away. He said he was a terrible person and didn’t want that to be his legacy. EJ said everyone hated him. He said he felt guilty about messing up the adoption. Belle said the adoption went through, but he couldn’t be around the baby. She said he could have a relationship with Johnny but not the baby. EJ said he didn’t like arguing with Johnny. He thanked her for being there for him. Shawn walked in. He said he had questions for EJ. EJ asked what he wanted to know. Shawn asked if he had any memory of Ava to which EJ said he didn’t. EJ said he saw her the night before and she threatened him. Shawn went back to the police station and told Jada what EJ said. An emotional Jada told Shawn that she and Rafe broke up. Shawn suggested they take a lunch to which Jada agreed. Johnny told Chanel that he couldn’t find a job. Chanel thought it was better not to start a new job when the baby comes. While she was excited, Johnny wasn’t. Chanel thought it was because of EJ waking up. Johnny said he didn’t want anything to do with his father. Chanel said she didn’t want anything to mess up the adoption. She said once he signed the papers it would be official. Later on, Johnny checked the news about the shooting. Belle showed up with the adoption papers. Johnny said he couldn’t sign them. He said he wasn’t ready to be a father. Johnny talked to Belle about his parents’ relationship. Belle told him to be honest with himself. She went back to the hospital to check on EJ. They talked about their love. Shawn told Jada about Belle and EJ. He got a call about Bo. It was bad news.

Doug felt like the pressure of his addiction was catching up with him. He turned to Nicole for help with his gambling problem. They talked about his history with gambling. During their conversation, they realized that Doug always craved winning. He loved the adrenaline and validation. It’s similar to the feeling he gets from being a surgeon. Doug admitted that he has a big debt, and it took a toll on his marriage. Nicole suggested he join a support group. He wasn’t sure about that because he thought someone might recognize him. Vanessa was upset that Diego was icing her out. He didn’t think she had a right to be upset when he rarely saw her. 

Bill spotted Naomi and Martin at the country club. They weren’t in the mood to talk to him since he broke Dani’s heart. Martin let Bill know that their time as family was done. Bill reminded Martin that it would be beneficial for them to be on good terms if he intended to run for president. Doug had a confession for Vanessa. He admitted that he was lying to her. Doug had a confession for Vanessa. He admitted that he was lying to her. Doug didn’t tell her about his addiction. He told her how he felt after their spontaneous hotel sex. The moment made him think about when they were a stronger couple. Tomas joined Bill at his table at the club. He wanted to talk about the review boards’ demands of the firm. Bill’s hand started shaking. Tomas thought he should see a doctor. Bill dismissed it as being dehydrated. A homeless woman named June was in trouble with the law. Naomi wss looking to give back to the community. Jacob called Naomi to speak with June. She didn’t want the help. June didn’t have the money to pay, and she didn’t trust Naomi as far as she could throw her. Despite her attitude, Jacob wanted Naomi to help her.

Chad and Cat talked about the fundraiser. While they were talking, JJ showed up. He let them know that things between him and Gabi weren’t any better because he accused her of murder. When Chad left, Cat let him know that Gabi would forgive him. After she finished talking, JJ asked Kayla if he could ask EJ questions. Xander went over to Sarah to see why she was talking to Philip. He thought she was being too nice to Philip. She said she wanted to be nice in public. Sarah wanted him to be nice for Maggie. When Maggie came over to them, Xander told Maggie what Philip did. Maggie pretended to be shocked. Sarah said they were all shocked. She made a mess, so Xander left to clean it up. While Xander was gone, Sarah told Maggie that she didn’t know if she could ever tell Xander the truth. Maggie wasn’t sure what she should do. Xander came back with Rachel. Sarah and Rachel left to play games. Maggie asked Xander what he was going to do about Philip. Xander said he had to play nice with him because of DiMera. Maggie advised him to have compassion for Philip because she believed Victor would have wanted them to work together. 

Kristen went to see EJ and demanded to know where her mother was. She said that was the only reason why she wanted him to survive. He acted as if he didn’t know what she was talking about. EJ said he hoped she found her mother soon. Kristen didn’t know why he was acting the way he was and thought it might have been the coma. She said she had to deal with losing DiMera and wanted a truce so they could get it back. When she assumed she could count on him, he said she couldn’t. Kristen yelled at him for turning his back on her. He said he reflected on himself while he was in the coma and wanted to be a better person. Kristen didn’t believe him, but EJ said it was true. When she brought up EJ getting shot, Kristen said her money was on Gabi. EJ said his mother had a vision of Gabi shooting him, but he thought he could be looking at her. He said he hoped she didn’t shoot him but if she did, he would forgive her. While Kristen was threatening EJ, Kayla and JJ came in. Kristen ended up leaving. EJ wondered what JJ wanted. He told JJ that he didn’t remember much about what happened the night he got shot. EJ said he was drinking and passed out. Kayla said she didn’t think the alcohol was why he didn’t remember. She said his injury was affecting his memory. EJ said he remembered Chanel and Kristen but not much else. Kayla asked JJ to leave so she could check on EJ. When JJ left, EJ thanked her for taking care of him. Kayla said he was important to people she cared about. She told him Sami and Johnny came to see him. EJ said he didn’t know that. JJ got a text from ballistics saying the bullet was too damaged but wasn’t a match for Ava’s gun.

Kat was determined to catch Eva in a lie. She wanted Tomas to help her catch Eva. He thought she might be overreacting. She told him that she met her surrogate mother Anna. Tomas told her what Eva said to him and the light bulb went off for her. Kat found out that Eva’s surrogate’s mother’s name was actually Leslie. He felt bad for telling Kat what Eva said to him. Tomas didn’t want to cause more friction between her and Eva. Kat was happy that her suspicions were right. Nicole went to see Laura at the hospital. She brought her flowers and found out that someone else gave her flowers. Laura told her that Eva sent them, and she relaxed. Nicole didn’t think Eva would do something behind her back. Eva and Leslie argued about how to handle Ted and Nicole’s relationship. They accused each other of lying. Leslie was starting to doubt Eva’s commitment to their plan. She felt like Eva’s loyalty was getting twisted. Leslie did her best to convince her that she didn’t run Laura off the road. 

Nicole assured Laura that Eva wasn’t going to take her job. She and Ted considered her family. Nicole was concerned about the spike in Laura’s potassium level which caused her to have a heart attack. Nicole wondered how it happened. Kat surprised Eva at home. She told Eva that she was feeling threatened by her bond with her parents. Kat wondered if they could be friends. Eva grabbed her phone so Kat started looking around. She took an incriminating picture. Leslie showed up while she was taking the picture. Kat recognized Leslie, and she started putting things together. After Doug and Vanessa made love, he wanted to know why she had the look in her eyes. She didn’t want to tell him about Joey so she said it was about work. They went their separate ways later on. Doug tested himself to see if he could beat his gambling addiction. Vanessa planned on meeting someone at Uptown. Joey approached her and told her that he owned the escort service that she uses. Hayley gave Bill bad news. She informed him that she’s not pregnant after all. Bill wasn’t happy or upset about the news. He wasn’t sure how he was supposed to react to her news. Hayley let him know that it was okay if he felt relieved by the news. Bill was fine with spending his life having her to himself. He admitted that there was a part of him that wanted to be a father again. They were willing to keep open minds about having children.

Lulu interviews Lucas for the story she is doing for the Lanview Banner about adoption. Brook Lynn talks to Lucas later and finds out about the story Lulu is doing from Lucas. Brook Lynn goes to Lulu’s house later to ask her why she is doing a story about adoption.

Danny tells Jason that he really misses Sa. Jason tells his son that he can talk to him about anything.

Alexis and Diane hire Marco as an associate on the condition that he will not work on any cases that have to do with Sonny or Jason because it would be a conflict of interest.

Brick and Carly are in Los Angeles with Sonny for his surgery. Carly tells Sonny that he better not give up and if he sees the pearly gates he better turn back and come back to his family because his family needs him. Sonny is thinking about his family as he goes under anesthesia.

Diane stops by the hospital to give Ric a copy of a vacation request that she is filing with the court so Avery can go on vacation with Sonny this summer. Molly is also visiting her father and help Diane pick up her papers that she dropped on the floor. Molly is doing some paperwork later and she comes across Kristina’s commitment papers that Diane drew up for Alexis. Molly accidently put the commitment papers in her briefcase when she helped Diane pick up the papers that she dropped on the floor.

Holden thinks that Damian may spend more time here with Amy but he doesn’t know if he will move to Genoa City permanently. Lily asks Audra if Holden has something on her and if that information could hurt Nate or the rest of the Winters family.

Lulu moves into her new house with help from Dante. Lulu gets a freelance assignment from the Lanview Banner to do a story about adoption.

Brook Lynn tells Lois that she and Chase want to use the same adoption agency that placed her baby in a loving home. Lois panics and calls her mom Gloria for help since they by Sonny. didn’t use an agency to place the baby. Lois later tells Brook Lynn and Chase that the agency she used to place the baby closed fifteen years ago.

Tracy gives councilman Boyle a contribution to help his campaign to move the Esplanade to the piers owned by Sonny. Laura tries to persuade Tracy that it is better to have Sonny control the piers then have Jens Sidwell control them. Laura tells Tracy that Sidwell is much more dangerous than Sonny. Tracy tells Laura that she shouldn’t associate with Sonny anymore if she still wants to be mayor.

Nina sees Ezra Boyle with a prostitute and decides to use her to set a trap for Drew.

Willow tells Drew that she is going to Germany to talk to Michael about the kids. Jason tells Carly that he persuaded Willow to talk to Michael about Wiley and Amelia. Carly doesn’t think that is a good idea because Michael is still in love with Willow and she will use his love for her to manipulate him. Jason is able to persuade Carly that Michael and Willow should decide Wiley and Amelia ‘s future.

Leslie told Nicole that their conversation on the roof had a profound effect on her. She knows what she wants to do with her life. Nicole asked what she wanted to do. Leslie said she knew what she wanted to do with her life and how she was going to get it. While Eva was talking to Ted, she spotted Leslie talking to Nicole. She tried to keep Ted from seeing them together. When Nicole was finished talking to Leslie, she was joined by Ted and Eva. Nicole loved how Ted was concerned about the event. After Eva left, Nicole thought Ted was planning something with Eva. Ted said they should cancel the party and go away together. He said he didn’t want to take what they have for granted. They complimented each other. At Uptown, Joey went to Vanessa’s table. He said he was sad that they wouldn’t be looking for houses together and had an idea on how they could extend their working relationship. Vanessa was intrigued. Joey told her that he got a real estate tip and wanted to know if it was a good deal. He wanted to work together on it to which Vanessa agreed to do it.

Andre told Doug about a documentary idea. He said he would follow Doug around the hospital, but Doug wasn’t interested. Doug said he wanted to be back in the OR. When Doug looked at his cast, he thought about his money conversation with Joey. As Andre was leaving, he noticed a scratch off on the floor. He gave it to Doug and wished him luck. Doug scratched the ticket and won $50,000. He called Randy over to him and told him about the lottery ticket. Randy said it could be a down payment to Joey. Doug said he wanted to invest it and make what he owes. Randy told him he could lose everything. Doug wanted to bet on a horse. Chelsea was surprised that Dani didn’t take her offer. Dani said there was more to their relationship than working together. She told Chelsea that she wanted to get her act together on her own. Chelsea said she and the family have heard that before and were still waiting for her to get her act together. She told Dani that she didn’t want to work with her at first. Dani told her that Pamela asked open a modeling agency. She told Chelsea that she hesitated at first because she wanted to work with Chelsea. Dani said she wanted something new and asked if Chelsea was okay with it. Chelsea said she wasn’t expecting it. They thought it was time to figure out who they were on their own. After Chelsea left, Pamela came over and they talked about the modeling agency. Dani called Andre to come over and take their picture. Doug called Randy to tell him the horse he bet on lost and he lost all the money. He was shocked that he lost all of the money gambling. When he got off the phone, he noticed Joey and Vanessa together. Eva went home and talked to Leslie about the plan. Leslie said they were going to rock Nicole’s world. Eva wondered why she was at the club. Leslie lied about being at the club. Eva called her a liar to which a shocked Leslie told her about talking to her like that.

Chad wanted JJ to go with him and the kids to the carnival fundraiser, but he wasn’t up for it. JJ told Chad about his fight with Gabi. He didn’t think they could work things out. Chad advised him to give Gabi some space. He thought the carnival would take JJ’s mind off of the fight. JJ changed his mind and decided to go. Chad, JJ and the kids arrived at the carnival. Cat took the kids to get face paint. Kayla talked to JJ about EJ’s shooting. She wondered if there were any leads on what happened. He talked about tracking down Ava. Kayla wasn’t surprised that they wanted to talk to Ava. Chad noticed Cat with his kids. He admired the way she handled his kids. Cat and Chad talked about the auction and explained it to Charlotte. She didn’t want her father to be involved in the auction because they might not bring him back. He reassured her that no one would take him away. Sarah had a nightmare that Philip told Xander about her involvement in his life. Xander woke Sarah up so they could go to the fundraiser. The couple arrived at the fundraiser, and Sarah wanted Xander to forget about Philip. He spotted Philip at the carnival. Alex told Stephanie that he was still thinking about what happened with Xander. They agreed that Xander shouldn’t find out about Sarah’s involvement in the secret. It was time to forget about the problem and focus on the fundraiser. Alex wasn’t really ready for it. Stephanie reminded him that he was part of a bachelor auction. Technically he’s a bachelor, but they were a couple. Alex and Stephanie start flirting with each other. Stephanie told him that his date with the woman who bid on him would be platonic.

Xander told Philip to get out of Salem. JJ got between them and wanted to make sure everything was okay. Xander wanted him to arrest Philip for fraud. JJ wanted more information, but Xander backed down. He told him that Philip messed up a business deal. JJ was about to leave when Xander warned him that he should stick around because he wanted to kill Philip. Sarah told JJ that it was a sibling rivalry so JJ walked away. Philip thanked EJ for not getting him in trouble with JJ. He told him that he did it because he has to work with him for the takeover at DiMera. Xander was prepared to beat Philip up so Sarah had to come between them. She sent Xander to get hot dogs while she talked to Philip. The bachelor action began. Alex was the first on the block. Stephanie and Leo bid for Alex. The bid got to $1,000 when Gabi showed up. She spotted JJ and bid $10,000 on Alex. The bidding war continued, and Gabi made it go up to $15,000. She looked at JJ to get his reaction to her bid. Leo and Javi approached JJ about accusing Gabi of attempted murder. He couldn’t believe she spent so much money to make him jealous. Sarah apologized to Philip and thanked him for not telling Xander about her involvement in his secret. She thought her marriage would be over if Xander found out the truth. He promised he wouldn’t say anything to Xander. Philip walked away from her. Xander stared at them from the background.

At the hospital, Belle admitted to Susan that she loved EJ. When Belle grabbed EJ’s hand, he stirred. EJ woke up. Susan was excited that he woke up. When Susan mentioned Belle, EJ stared at her. Belle left to get the doctor. Susan let EJ know that he was safe. She went to Belle and let her know that they should go back in EJ’s room to give him energy. Belle said she was glad that EJ was okay but wasn’t sure if she was ready to face him yet. Susan went back n EJ’s room. EJ asked her what happened. Susan said he was shot in the chest which meant he knew who shot him. EJ wanted her to tell him more about what happened because it might trigger a memory. When Susan told him what she knew, it didn’t help EJ. He said he remembered seeing someone. When Belle walked in, EJ said it was her and remembered what she did. Susan started yelling at Belle. EJ said Belle wasn’t the shooter. He said he remembered her betrayal. Susan ripped into Belle for trying to send EJ to prison after saying she loved him. EJ asked Susan to leave his room. When Susan left, EJ asked Belle if she loved him. Gabi was talking to Cat about Chad. When Gabi brought up EJ and the shooting, Susan showed up and ripped into Gabi for talking about EJ. Susan accused Gabi of being at the mansion the night EJ was shot. Gabi flashed back to when she was outside of the DiMera mansion. She denied Susan’s accusation. When Susan said EJ was awake, Gabi was shocked.

Johnny went to see Chad at the Horton House and told him he saw EJ at the hospital. He said Chad was the reason why he went to see him. Johnny said he talked to his mother and had a better understanding of her choices. He said he wanted to support Sami, but EJ was a different situation. Johnny wasn’t sure if he could forgive EJ after what he has done. Before Chad could say anything, Belle called him and said EJ was awake. When Chad got off the phone, they agreed to see EJ. Chad went to see EJ. EJ said he had Chad to thank for saving him. Chad apologized for the article being the reason he got shot. EJ said he was trying to figure out what happened that night. He said Belle, Chanel, and Kristen were there. Chad promised EJ that they would catch the shooter. Amy went to Paulina’s house, to let Chanel know that they could revisit the adoption. While they were talking, Amy brought up EJ and his involvement. Chanel assured her that EJ wouldn’t be near the baby even if he made a full recovery. Amy said she had no problem with the adoption. Sophia went to see Tate to let him know that her mother was considering the adoption. She said she wasn’t sure what her mother was going to do. Tate offered to help her with the labor. While they were practicing for Lamaze class, Sophia got a text from her mother saying she agreed to the adoption. Susan let EJ know that she was pretty sure she knew who shot him. Gabi flashed back to the night of EJ’s shooting and told herself there was no way Susan knew what she did that night.

Eva was shocked to see that Leslie bought a new dress for Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party. Leslie felt like they should dress for success. Eva was concerned that their plan could get sidelined. Leslie wanted her to focus on their plan. They still had work to do before they could be happy. Leslie bashed Nicole when Eva received a text and had to see the party planners. Leslie sent her to get something out of the car. While Eva was gone, Leslie went through her phone. Later, Nicole and Eva planned for the party. Ted arrived while the women were talking about the anniversary party. Nicole had to step away for a bit. Ted let Eva know that he needed to take a call from a jeweler so Nicole wouldn’t catch on to her present. He let Eva know that they were blessed to have her in their lives. After Ted left, Leslie arrived at the club. Eva dragged Leslie off so Ted and Nicole wouldn’t see her. Leslie planned to get a job at the club so she could be at the party. They went back and forth about the plan. Eva rushed her out so Ted and Nicole wouldn’t see her there. Ted and Nicole wanted Eva at their table regardless of how Kat felt about it. Kat saw Tomas at the law firm. She told him about what happened when the family got together. Bill and Hayley arrived so Kat told him about how much fun Dani had at the party. Hayley didn’t care to hear about it so she went to work. Kat took a job at Bill, but he just laughed at her. He walked off and warned Tomas to watch out for her. After Kat left, Bill had a job for Tomas. He wanted him to work on the board with the ladies suing the firm. Bill wanted him to tell him everything the women said. Tomas wasn’t comfortable doing that so Bill told him that he could show that he’s ready to be a partner if he did the assignment.

Ted spotted Eva and wanted to talk about the dinner. Leslie saw Nicole and smirked at her. Nicole saw her, and Leslie told her that she didn’t have much time. Hayley listened when Bill talked to Tomas about working with the women involved in the lawsuit. She heard him tell Tomas that he wanted to know everything that went on with the women. Hayley interrupted their conversation so Tomas left. She let Bill know that she overheard them talking. He wondered if she objected to the plan. Hayley wasn’t sure if being pregnant was making a difference, but she wouldn’t want her daughter to be disrespected. He told her that he wasn’t trying to cheat anyone. Bill wanted to protect the company for their children. Chelsea, Kat, and Samantha were at the club. They wanted to talk to Samantha about their plans for her at their company. Kat wanted to tell Samantha about her idea for the company. She wanted to hire Dani, but Chelsea didn’t want to. Chelsea didn’t feel like sharing their success with her mother. The cousins got into an argument about the situation. Samantha liked the idea of Dani working with the company. Andre stopped by Dani’s place to check on her. He wanted to make sure that she was drinking alcohol so he checked her glass. She told him that she wasn’t in distress. Andre and Dani started making out. Afterwards, Dani felt like he was out of line to accuse her of drinking. She realized she was turning a page in her life thanks to him pushing her to do it. Dani let him know about Pamela’s idea to run a modeling agency. Chelsea sent her a text and wanted to come over. They wondered if they should go public about their relationship. After Andre left, Chelsea arrived at Dani’s place. She offered Dani the role of chief marketing officer at her company. Dani appreciated it, but she turned down the offer.

Ava gives Ric a very expensive limited edition watch to replace the one he lost in the car accident. Ric tells Ava the watch is beautiful but she has to take it and everything she has bought back to where she bought it so people won’t wonder where she suddenly got so much money. Ava agrees to return everything she bought except a coat that she likes a lot.

Diane once again tries to persuade Alexis to have Kristina committed to save her from going to prison. Alexis tells Diane she can’t do it because Molly and Kristina have bonded and have mended their sisterly relationship.

Alexis talks to Ric at the hospital and begs him not to tell Molly that Kristina caused his accident because Kristina and Molly have mended their relationship. Ric thinks it’s time Molly find out that she was right about Kristina. Ric tells Alexis that it’s time that Molly find out that she will do anything to protect Kristina and once again didn’t consider her feelings.

A guilt-ridden Kristina tells Lucky she wants to turn herself in to the police because she has nightmares. Lucky advises Kristina to make amends to the people she hurt and let go of her vendetta against Ava. Kristina promises Lucky she will take his advice.

Kai tells Drew he wants to have the surgery. Drew asks Kai to make a documentary about the surgery and his comeback journey. Kai agrees because it is the least he can do since Drew is paying for the surgery.

Portia approves the hospital privileges for the specialist doing Kai’s surgery even though the surgery is risky because, if she doesn’t approve the credentials, he will tell Curtis she tampered with Heather’s medical records.

Carly promises Nina she won’t come after Willow so she can give her a chance to persuade Willow not to move in with Drew.

Willow begs Jason to persuade Carly not to fight on Michael’s behalf for custody of Wiley and Amelia. Jason, instead, persuades Willow to go to Germany and talk to Michael so they can decide what is best for Wiley and Amelia. Carly asks Diane to get a court date set for Wiley and Amelia ‘s custody hearing and she will decide for Michael to return to Port Charles for the hearing. Carly asks Diane to keep what she is doing a secret from Nina and Drew, so they won’t have time to react or change the court date.

Audra tells Sally she shouldn’t be jealous of Phyllis because Billy would never go back to her because their relationship was toxic. Audra tells Sally she needs to protect Billy from Phyllis because Phyllis will ruin Billy’s company.

Holden asks Audra to consider him for a job in her new company.

Nate tells Amy and Damian that Dr. Kelly called him to tell him that since Amy is responding well to the treatment she wants her to continue the treatment at a clinic in Boston. Nate tells Amy she needs to leave for Boston tonight because a spot just opened up in the Clinical trial. Amy says goodbye to Audra and heads to Boston with Damian and Nate.

Daniel asks Tessa to teach him how to play the guitar and they have their first lesson.

Billy tells Phyllis that she must accept that Daniel doesn’t want to work for Abbott Communications.

Billy thinks it’s time for Phyllis to let Daniel grieve Heather in his own way and if she doesn’t she can’t work with him at Abbott Communications.

Vanessa talked to Nicole about how worried she is about Doug. She said something changed in him. Nicole thought she was more invested in her marriage than she was letting on. She asked Vanessa if she wanted to fix her marriage. While they were talking, Ted came in and wanted Nicole to come upstairs with him. When he left, the women talked about Nicole’s marriage and how great it was that they were still passionate about each other after so many years. The Duprees went out for karaoke night.  Dani told the family about her plans. Kat reminded Chelsea to get her mother to help them on their line. Martin and Smitty talked to Vernon about what was going on with the twins. Later on, Anita talked to Vernon about what they have done for their family. Kat talked to Ted about the anniversary party. She said Eva didn’t know anything about planning a party. He wanted her to let it go. Dani wanted Anita to go to the stage and sing, but Anita said her voice wasn’t ready. Anita was afraid that she couldn’t sing anymore. Dani, Naomi, and Anita went on the stage and did a great job.

Joey told Doug that he wouldn’t be fixing hearts soon. Doug wondered what he would do for him if he couldn’t make money. He told Joey that he didn’t have any skills in Joey’s line of work. Doug told Joey that he gave him money. Joey warned him that his time was up if he didn’t respect him. Doug was shocked and let him know that he didn’t have a deadline. Joey said he did now. Doug said his assets were tied up and needed time. Joey wasn’t sure what he was going to do with him. Doug asked if someone could bail him out. When Joey kept pressuring Doug, Doug said he would talk to Vanessa. Doug said she didn’t know about his gambling problem. When Doug said Vanessa wouldn’t leave him, Joey laughed at him. Joey said Vanessa could sell some houses and give him the money. Vanessa overheard Joey telling Doug to find a solution if she wasn’t the answer. Joey let Vanessa know that he was there to check on a friend. When Joey left, Vanessa asked Doug about his hand. She asked him what was going on with him. He let her know that he went to a dark place and wouldn’t go back. Eva and Tomas were at the club. They talked about the sexual harassment case. Tomas told Eva that the guy was fired and the women got a big settlement. Eva said she couldn’t imagine taking her father down. She told him about her mother’s friend taking her in and her mother died. Tomas offered sympathy when Eva said her stepfather didn’t like her. Eva said she never wanted for anything. Tomas said it was her stepfather’s loss.

Philip went to see Belle and told her that the case she represented him for was based on fabricated evidence. She was shocked that they committed fraud. She was upset and wondered why he decided to tell her about it. Belle realized that Xander found out the truth. He told her what Vivian did and told her how Xander reacted to the news. She wondered how Xander found out when he and Vivian were the only ones who knew about it. Philip admitted that a few people knew about it. It wasn’t a good idea to tell him about it, but he apologized for getting her involved. She was upset, but she didn’t hate him for it. Belle would have felt like a hypocrite if she got mad at him and overlooked EJ’s actions. Her comment led to a discussion about EJ. She didn’t understand who she got involved with Sami’s ex-husband and why she couldn’t get over him. Belle couldn’t help him with the fraud case. She advised him to go to Justin. Sarah was about to apologize to Xander when Alex and Stephanie showed up. He told Alex and Stephanie what Philip did. They exchanged uncomfortable looks. Xander realized that they knew about it too. Sarah tried to get Xander to calm down. Xander put it together that the affair was a lie. Stephanie admitted that she knew a while ago and broke up with Philip. He wanted to know why she didn’t tell him the truth. Stephanie didn’t want to be responsible for hurting him. He thought he was being a coward. Xander looked at Alex. He wanted to know when he found out. Alex told him when he found out. He didn’t want to ruin his relationship with Philip or the takeover. Xander didn’t believe his excuse. He thought they felt he didn’t deserve to know the truth. Alex told him that Philip was responsible for what happened. They wanted to do the right thing, but Xander wasn’t so sure about that. Xander had to leave because Mr. Shin called him. Sarah apologized to Sarah and Alex for what happened. She would take the blame if Alex got fired. They talked her out of it because Xander couldn’t take another betrayal. Roman went to see Kayla to find out about EJ’s condition. She was surprised that he was concerned about it. Roman lied about looking for information for Johnny’s sake. Kayla told him that she could only mention putting him in an induced coma so his brain could heal. She let him know that Susan was in his room with him to use her psychic powers to find out the shooter. Kayla told him that EJ probably saw his shooter so Susan wouldn’t need her psychic powers. Roman looked worried when she told him that EJ probably saw his shooter.

Susan was trying to use her psychic powers when Kayla walked in the room. She blamed Kayla for disrupting her psychic connection. Susan was about to find out the identity of EJ’s shooter. They talked about EJ’s condition. Susan said EJ was getting restless. Kayla thought it was time to get EJ out of the coma. She wanted to do it slowly to make sure he didn’t have another seizure. Kayla told Susan that she was his next of kin so she had to decide when to bring him out of the coma. Susan wanted Kayla to take him out of the coma. Belle walked in while Kayla was bringing EJ out of the coma. It was a waiting game now. Kate and Rex were at the pub. She mentioned how he accused her of trying to murder EJ. Rex let her know that he thought Roman had a motive too. He suspected both of them of shooting him. Roman arrived and took Rex to the airport. After they left, Philip arrived at the pub. He told Kate that Vivian told Xander everything. He told her that Xander threw him out of the house. They couldn’t believe Vivian told Xander the truth. Kate honestly believed that Philip should have half of Titan. Philip wanted Belle to help him fight to stay out of jail. Xander told Sarah that he talked to Mr. Shin. He found out that it would compromise the takeover if the truth came out. Xander had to keep working with Philip. He couldn’t do anything about it. Belle sat by EJ’s side and talked to him. Susan tried to help him by telling him that the woman he loved was by his side. Belle was shocked to hear that. Susan let her know that you didn’t need to be psychic to know that. Belle admitted that she loved EJ. Susan wanted her to take EJ’s hand. She grabbed his hand and told him that she loved him. EJ’s heart rate started to rise, and he opened his eyes.

Emma begins her community service as a volunteer at the hospital. Josslynn begins to investigate Emma when Emma tells her the judge gave her community service because of her prior record.

Carly talks to Sonny about not fighting the vote of the people of Port Charles. Carly explains to Sonny that, if he fights the will of the people, it could hurt Laura’s re-election campaign. Carly is hurt that Sonny didn’t fight the vote and that he will look weak to the five families. If they see weakness they will attack him and his family.

Sonny tells Carly a that he is having open heart surgery next Friday. Carly is hurt that Sonny didn’t tell her about the surgery sooner but tells him she is going to Los Angeles with him for the surgery.

Jens tells Lucy that Natalia is his ex-wife, and Lucy wants Natalia out of Deception because Natalia didn’t tell her the truth. Jason goes to the Deception office to tell Brook Lynn and Maxie that Natalia didn’t tell them that Jens Sidwell was her ex-husband. Brook Lynn and Maxie want to find a way to get out of their contract with Jens but Anna tells them to just continue business as usual and she will take care of the Jens Sidwell situation.

Brook Lynn and Chase decide that the best way for them to have a family is adoption.

Felicia asks Carly to persuade Sonny not to fight the vote of the people of Port Charles if they vote to put the McConkey Esplanade on the pier that he owns. Felicia explains that if Sonny fights for the vote of the people it will look like Laura is afraid to stand up to for him.

Rocco asks Sonny not to go to watch his debate at school because if he and Laura are seen together it will turn into a media circus. Sonny is proud of Rocco for telling him the truth about what was bothering him even though it was hard for him.

Sonny and Olivia have a birthday party for Dante at Sonny’s house.

Alexis tells Marco that she and Diane will need to talk about his job offer since he didn’t tell them Sidwell was his father. Marco assures Alexis that, although he represents his father’s company, his father has never involved him in his other businesses.

Gio and Lulu talk at Dante’s party, and he tells Lulu that he was born in Los Angeles because his mother was playing a concert there when she went into labor.
