Lucky tries to persuade his captor to hire him instead of killing him for helping Dr. Isiah Cannon escape. Lucky persuades his captor to play poker with him and, when his captor loses the first poker hand to Lucky, he decides to play another poker hand with Lucky and kill him tomorrow.

Drew tells Willow that Larry McConkey was the closest thing he had to a father figure. Drew wonders if Alan would be proud of him. Willow tells him that she didn’t know Alan but she is sure that Alan would be proud of him because he is a very admirable man who inspires her every day. Drew takes Willow’s hand and thanks her for knowing the right thing to say to make him feel better. Drew can’t believe that such a beautiful woman who is so caring is there with him. Willow and Drew kiss. Michael is worried when both Drew and Willow don’t answer their phones, so he goes down to the gatehouse to look for Willow who is at the gatehouse with Drew.

Alexis is able to stop John Cates from arresting Kristina with the help of Anna. Once Kristina arrives back at Alexis’s house, she steals Alexis’s keys and takes her car and drives away.

Ava tries to persuade the hit woman that John hired to her by offering her money, but it doesn’t work The hit woman continues to drive to Pine Barron’s to kill her, but the car skids because it is raining and Ava grabs the wheel to keep the car from crashing into another car.

Dante tells Maxie and Felicia that the doctor just told him Lulu’s condition is getting worse and she might die.

John and Sonny face off. Sonny shoots John but someone else also shoots John from behind and John falls to the ground.

Violet asks Brook Lynn and Chase when they are going to have a baby. Brook Lynn and Chase tell Violet they want a baby but they don’t know when they will have one. Violet wonders when her daddy will be home and Brook Lynn and Chase explain to Violet that her daddy loves her and he is working very hard to come home as soon as possible.

Dante feels guilty for leaving Lulu alone to go on a WSB mission and then coming home from the mission and leaving her alone again to recover from PTSD. Dante lashes out at Carly for paying Brook Lynn to break up he and Lulu years ago.

Dante tells Carly she never cared about Lulu at all.

Drew has a campaign event at the park and after the event is over he gets a call from Congressman McConkey’s wife telling him that the Congressman died while he was at the airport waiting to catch a plane to go to the campaign event. Drew is hit hard by the news. Willow and Drew talk privately and he shares stories about the Congressman with her.

Willow tells Drew she will call Michal and tell him she isn’t going to the Quartermaine family dinner because she wanted to make sure he is okay.

Alexis persuades Sonny to turn himself in to John Cates because Kristina is too fragile to go through a trial. Sonny calls John to tell him he will confess to all his crimes and go to prison if he drops all the charges against Kristina. Sonny wants to go to the Quartermaine’s first to say goodbye to Dante and Michael before he goes to the police station. John tells Sonny that he will meet him at the Quartermaines and arrest him there.

Kristina tells John that she will swear on a stack of bibles at her arraignment that John is trying to use her and the death of her baby to force her father to turn himself in to the FBI. Kristina tells Alexis she has decided not to let John Cates use her to hurt her father.

Lucky tells the doctor that he was brought to the compound to make his escape and return to the United States and send the WSB to rescue him.

Laura asks Brenan to help her find Lucky. Brennan finds out that Lucky’s last known location was at a refugee camp on the border between Somalia and Ethiopia. Brennan advises Laura to send someone to get Lucky because it is hard to get a message to Lucky. Kevin and Laura decide to go search for Lucky and she asks Tracy to take care of Ace.

Kristina asks Jason to stop John Cates before he can send Sonny to prison. Jason tells Kristina that something will be done. She just can’t tell her about it.

John tells Sonny he must confess to all his crimes and go to prison to keep Kristina from going to prison. John leaves Ava in a safe house with an agent guarding her. Ava suspects that the woman isn’t an FBI agent because she is wearing very expensive shoes and is using a gun that isn’t the type of gun FBI agents are issued. Ava remembers that Sonny told her John wanted to kill her so that her written statement would stand Ava tries to get away but the woman returns to the safe house before Ava can get away.

Scott is still missing but Ric tells Heather that Scott asked him to take over her case. Molly asks Alexis if Irene had lived if she would have helped Kristina take baby Irene away from her and TJ. Alexis tells Molly she told Kristina she wasn’t going to take sides if she decided to seek custody of baby Irene.

Nikolas is unable to be Lulu’s donor because his liver function doesn’t meet the criteria for donation. Carly gets tested to see if she can be a donor for Lulu. Nikolas tells Laura she must find Lucky so he can get tested to see if he can be a donor for Lulu.

Molly continues to lash out at Kristina at baby Irene’s graveside. Molly tells Kristina that baby Irene would be alive if she hadn’t gone to Ava’s hotel suite to argue with Ava about Avery’s custody hearing. Molly tells Kristina she never loved baby Irene because she didn’t protect her. Molly feels hurt because she found the affidavit in Alexis’s briefcase that says that Kristina was planning to keep the baby and not give it to her.

Lois brings in high sale numbers for Deception products during her Home and Heart presentation but she still feels self-conscious about her Brooklyn accent.

Lulu is moved to General Hospital because her liver failure is worse. Maxie goes to see Lulu at the hospital and pleads with her to wake up because her family and friends need her to wake up. Lucky sneaks into the hospital to visit Lulu.

Laura wishes she knew where Lucky was so she could tell him that Lulu has taken a turn for the worse.

The audience sees a man in a mask chained to a chair struggling with a guard in an unknown location. The mask comes off in the struggle with the guard and the person being held prisoner is revealed to be Lucky.

Lois makes her first appearance on Home and Heart to promote Deception’s latest cream The Deceiver. Lois gets stage fright when she hears one of the Home and Heart makeup artists talking about how annoying her Brooklyn accent is and saying someone with such an annoying accent shouldn’t be on TV. Brook Lynn calms her mother down and she does a good presentation until a customer calls into the show and advises Lois to lose her accent.

Sonny advises Ava to accept his protection because John Cates wants to kill her. Ava refuses to go anywhere with Sonny. A short while later John arrives to put Ava in FBI protective custody.

Molly and TJ’s friends and family gather together to grieve at baby Irene Marie’s funeral. Dante gets a call from Laura about Lulu and he doesn’t go to the graveside service with his family. Ric arrives to be there for Molly as she grieves baby Irene Marie. Molly gets upset with Kristina at baby Irene’s graveside because she hears Kristina say goodbye to the baby but she calls the baby Adela instead of Irene. Molly cries and tells Kristina that her daughter wouldn’t be dead if she hadn’t gone to Ava’s hotel room because she wanted to protect Sonny. Molly tells Kristina hat the death of baby Irene is her fault.

Alexis tells Kristina that she should never tell Molly and TJ that she intended to keep the baby after she was born. Molly and TJ tell the family that they named the baby Irene Marie to honor the memory of TJ’s grandmother.

Alexis, Kristina, and Molly are about to leave for the funeral service for baby Irene when John arrives and wants to take Kristina to the police station to question her. Alexis reminds John the terms of Kristina’s release and that he is forbidden to come anywhere near her so, she throws John out of her house.

Ava tells Trina that she is in trouble with the FBI and she is being forced to do things she doesn’t Ava want to do. Trina encourages Ava to tell the truth and stop John from blaming Kristina for something she didn’t do. Ava tells Trina she can’t tell the truth yet but she will find a way out of this problem.

Scott is missing and John tells Anna she should question Jason about Scott’s disappearance. Anna questions Jason who tells her he hasn’t seen Scott since yesterday and has no idea where he could be. Anna encourages Jason to start a new life without Sonny. Anna tells Jason she intends to take down Sonny and she hopes that he isn’t working for Sonny when she puts Sonny in prison.

Sonny arrives at Ava’s gallery to tell Ava that he isn’t there to kill her. He is there to save her life.

Ava tells Nina the truth about what happened the day Kristina fell out of the window of her hotel room. Ava tells Nina that she never pushed Kristina. Kristina tripped over John Cates’s suitcases. Ava also tells Nina that she moved John’s suitcases so nobody would know that John was keeping his suitcases in her room. Ava also tells Nina that she lied in the statement that she gave to the police. Nina leaves Ava and makes a phone call and asks someone to do her a favor.

The judge at Kristina’s hearing gives John 48 hours to show her evidence of John’s RICO case against Sonny and that Ava is the witness against him or she will put him in jail.

The Assistsnt District Attorney tells John, if he doesn’t give him evidence for this case, he will talk to the FBI and have his badge taken away. John tells Ava he will tell her exactly what to say and how to say it before they record her statement.

Kristina is released and is able to go home while she awaits trial.

Kevin and Laura are told by Lulu’s doctor that Lulu is in liver failure.

Mac tells James that Cody is his son and that he was mad at Cody because of all the time they didn’t get to spend together. James is happy that Cody is his uncle. Mac is grateful to Cody for saving James. Mac gives Cody a hug for the first time as father and son.

John Cates tells Ava he is going to say she was a witness for the FBI and he is going to arrest Kristina for attempting to kill an FBI witness.

Jason finds the pharmacist who tells him Valentin hired him to reduce Sonny’s medication and Ava pressured him to give Sonny placebos.

Sonny tells Kristina he won’t kill Ava for her because he doesn’t want that on her conscience and on her heart.

Ava tells TJ that Kristina was enraged and told her that if she made her testify against Sonny at Avery’s custody hearing, she would be sorry. Ava leads TJ to believe that the accident was Kristina’s fault.

Laura asks Anna and Brennan to find Valentin.

John arrests Kristina in the hospital hallway in front of Alexis and Molly.

The ladies of Deception have a meeting about whether they should accept Sonny’s offer to invest in the company. Natalia promises to do a detailed audit of Corinthos coffee and, if she finds anything suspicious in the books, she will cancel the deal herself. Natallia’s assurance that she will cancel the deal persuades the ladies to let Sonny invest except for Tracy, who thinks if they accept Sonny’s investment, it will be the end of Deception and they will all end up in prison.

Willow talks to Nina about the fact that her feelings for Drew have grown since she and Drew kissed on the 4th of July. Willow tells Nina she has to put some distance between her and Drew to assure things between her and Drew won’t go too far. Willow and Nina are unaware that James is hiding nearby and accidently heard their conversation.

Maxie, Spinelli, Cody, and Sasha split up and look for James all over the large Quartermaine estate.

Felicia and Mac stay at the stables. Mac and Felicia have a long talk. Felicia reminds Mac that when he first came to Port Charles he was a lot like Cody until people in town gave him a chance and he changed and became the good honest man he is today. Felicia thinks Mac should give his son the same chance to change.

James is at the Quartermaine docks when he falls in the harbor reaching for something he dropped in the water. James calls for help as he comes up for air twice. Cody hears James and dives in the water to rescue him. James thanks Cody for getting him out of the water as Mac walks by and sees them hugging.

Brick tells Jason that the hospital security cameras show John Cates escorting the hospital pharmacist out of the hospital. Sonny tells Brick to have men follow Ava and John. Ava persuades John to tell Scott his plan of how he intends to put Sonny in prison. Scott wants to help with the plan and offers to pick up the pharmacist from the location where John is hiding him and move him to Wyndamere.

Michael persuades Sasha to open her heart to love again and pursue a relationship with Cody. Sasha tells Cody she is ready to make love and they start to make love in the Quatermaine stables.

Maxie and Felcia persuade Mac that he shouldn’t deprive James of riding horses with Cody as his instructor. James is bored at the Metro Court pool and runs away when Maxie and Spinelli aren’t watching him. Maxie goes to the Quatermaine stables looking for James and interrupts Cody and Sasha’s romantic moment.

Sonny wants to invest the money that he had set aside for the record label into Deception.

Sonny tells Brook Lynn that he will invest the money in Deception if they give Natalia a job as Chief Financial officer. Brook Lynn goes to Tracy with the idea but as soon as Tracy hears that Sonny is the investor she tells Brook Lynn that Sonny will invest over her dead body.

Drew insists on knowing why Willow wants to quit her job promoting organ and bone marrow donation. Willow tells Drew that she loves Michael and is committed to their marriage but she can’t stop thinking about the kiss they shared on the 4th of July. Willow thinks it’s best that she put as much distance between them as possible before she does something she will regret.

Carly is upset because Ava is out on bail because she pleaded not guilty. Molly and Kristina promise that they will make Ava pay for the death of Molly’s daughter.

Sonny promises Anna he will not touch a hair on Ava’s head. Sonny tells Jason he will use the picture of what happened to Kristina to prove to the judge Ava is dangerous.

Sonny tells Jason he is confident that Ava will go to jail for causing the death of his granddaughter and he will have her killed in jail for the pain he caused Kristina.

John tells Ava that he is going to wait until Sonny begins to look for the pharmacist who switched his medicine. John thinks Sonny will try to kill the pharmacist, and when he does, he will send Sonny to prison. Kristina says a painful goodbye to Blaze so Blaze can go on tour. Blaze fires Natalia from her job as her business manager before she goes on tour.
