Brady went to confront Kristen. He told her Sarah told him she used the serum to force Xander to give her Titan. Kristen admitted that she didn’t have a choice because she had to prove herself to the DiMera board since she’s under a microscope. Brady told her everything was about greed, money, and herself to which she said wasn’t true. Kristen said she did it for him. He didn’t understand what she was talking about. She explained that when she had Titan, she would give him Basic Black. He had trouble believing that she asked Xander to hand over Titan so he could control part of it. She said she was doing it for their family and that Rachel wants them to be together. Kristen asked him to consider making their relationship work for Rachel’s sake. Brady said Victor was his family and he wouldn’t Titan under DiMera’s control. He said her dream of wanting their family together wouldn’t happen like this. Kristen asked if they could be together if she didn’t want Titan in exchange for the serum. He said he wasn’t confirming that but he refused to get back together with her if she used the serum the way she was. Kate talked to Philip on the phone and told him that Vivian was arrested. Kate said Vivian didn’t say anything about the letter so their secret was safe. When Xander walked in Kate’s office, she told Philip she would call him back. He told her Philip was keeping him from making the deal with Kristen so he wanted her to put a stop to it. Kate refused to do it and said she supported Philip trying to save his father’s company. Xander said she better change her mind or the soap opera would be history because he would buy every streaming service available and cancel the soap opera. Kate thought that would be a risky move and called his bluff. She suggested that he let Philip run Titan and he did something else. When she refused to help him, he walked out of her office. Philip went to the Kiriakis mansion to see how Maggie was doing since it was her anniversary. When Sarah was nice to him, Philip was surprised that she would be nice to him since he was the reason why she didn’t have the serum. Sarah said she understood why he did it because she didn’t want Xander to give Titan to Kristen. She said he would do anything to get the serum. Philip said that would explain why he tried to kill him.

Philip told Sarah what happened with Xander. Sarah was shocked. When Philip checked the time, he said he had to go. He said he liked her and didn’t want to make things worse for her and Xander, but Xander’s actions were irrational. After they finished talking, Philip left. Kate met up with Philip at the Salem Inn. She told him about what happened with Xander and how he was trying to undermine her. Philip said he did the same thing to him. He told her what Xander did to him and how he told Sarah about it. Xander went home to see Sarah. She told him that Philip was there and told her how he tried to kill him. Xander said Philip was exaggerating to which Sarah said she knew he held the gun and pulled the trigger. Xander said Philip asked for it. Sarah said the violence had to stop because they couldn’t live this way. She said her walking again wasn’t worth throwing his life away. Brady showed up at the mansion and said he tried to reason with Kristen. Kristen spoke to Stefano’s portrait and thought he would have been proud of Brady for giving her an ultimatum of choosing between love and money. She said she hoped she did the right thing. Xander thanked Brady for trying to reason with Kristen and thought she turned him down. Brady said she didn’t and gave Sarah the serum. At the pub, Steve and Roman talked about Vivian getting arrested. While they were talking, they talked about Clyde’s escape. Steve said Clyde called Chad and told him something. He thought Chad was hiding something and probably thought he could handle Clyde. Roman didn’t think Clyde would help Chad. Steve said he might have if something was in it for him. They thought Chad and Clyde made a deal. Chad met EJ at the police station. He asked EJ why the charges against Cat weren’t dropped. EJ said he didn’t understand why Chad would want to do that after what she did. He told EJ that Clyde said he would tell him where Abby’s remains were if the charges against Cat were dropped. EJ asked why he would help Cat. Chad said he didn’t want to help her. He wanted her to suffer. EJ asked why he wanted the charges dropped. He thought Cat should pay for what she did. Chad said he wanted here to pay, but he didn’t want her blood on his hands and didn’t want her to die. He said he was going to make Clyde think he was helping him, but was going to make sure he didn’t get Cat. EJ didn’t like the plan and thought it was dangerous. Chad agreed that it was dangerous, but he had to do it. EJ said Paulina was going to be upset with him, but the charges were dropped and Cat was released. He warned Chad to be careful.

When Marlena read the anniversary card John had for her, Kristen showed up to see Brady. Marlena told her Brady wasn’t there, but Kristen said she would wait and let herself in. When Kristen noticed the flowers, Marlena told her it was her anniversary, but John was visiting his father. Kristen made smart remarks about John being out of town. While they were talking, the doorbell rang. It turned out to be Belle. When Belle noticed Kristen, they got into it about their love lives. Andrew showed up. Marlena wondered if Paul was showing up too, but Andrew said he was in San Francisco. He said he was there because of his father with a message from John. John had to go to D.C to consult on a case. Kristen made a snide remark. Marlena thanked Andrew for the message. Johnny and Paul showed up at the townhouse. Kristen was upset that she was getting ignored and demanded to know where Brady was. Johnny said he had to make a stop. Kristen decided to leave. When Kristen left, Paul proposed to Andrew.

Sarah found Maggie at the Kiriakis mansion staring at Victor’s portrait. She wished Maggie a happy anniversary. Maggie said she was thinking about the last anniversary. She said she felt lost, but Konstantin comforted her even though he never stood a chance with her. Sarah gave her a gift from Victoria that had a recording of her voice. Maggie said she would never forget Victor. Sarah suddenly felt a pain, but didn’t want her pills. Maggie said she couldn’t believe Philip would stop the transfer of Titan. She said Victor would have agreed to it. Julie showed up to see Maggie. She said Doug was feeling sick, but sent his love. While they were talking, they talked about what Chad went through with Cat. They were happy that Cat being alive meant John didn’t kill anyone. Sarah said it meant Victor didn’t send the Pawn to kill anyone. Maggie said she was glad to know Victor was innocent but it meant Konstantin killed him for nothing. Holly showed up and told everyone that she and Tate were threw. The ladies let her know that she shouldn’t give up because they have all been through breakups. They told her stories about their past. Brady went to the Kiriakis mansion to wish Maggie a happy anniversary. He told Sarah that Kristen let him know that the second serum would be ready. Sarah said that it didn’t matter since Xander couldn’t give Kristen Titan. Brady wanted to know what she was talking about. He went to the DiMera mansion to confront Kristen about the serum.

When Jada was about to arrest Vivian, Rafe called her to tell her to come to the police station. Jada told him she was arresting Vivian to which Rafe was shocked to hear. While Rafe was talking to Jada, he heard her yell at Vivian. There was a gunshot in the background. Rafe rushed to the Salem Inn and saw Vivian unconscious. Jada told him when she turned her back Vivian tried to take her gun from her and it went off. She said Vivian fell back and hit her head. While they were at the hospital, Vivian told Rafe she wanted Jada arrested. Rafe said he wasn’t back on the force yet and Jada was the commissioner. Vivian wanted to talk to the mayor and have Jada fired. Rafe and Jada let her know that wouldn’t happen. They let her know that she was going back to prison. Rafe said no one would be able to help her to which Vivian said she wanted a lawyer. Jada offered to get her phone. Rafe let her know that assaulting a police officer would be extra charges which would put her away for a long time. EJ called Chad to check on him. Chad told him he was glad he didn’t tell the children about Cat. EJ promised him he would make Cat and Mark pay for what they did. He let Chad know that he was grateful that Mark didn’t kill him. Chad said he was glad Mark didn’t kill him, but he had to deal with losing Abby all over again. While they were talking, EJ heard a noise. It was Ivan sneaking into the mansion. EJ told Chad he was going to find out what the noise was. Gabi showed up wanting to see Stefan. When EJ let her in, he said he thought she was done with Stefan. She wanted to know where Stefan was. EJ said he didn’t see him, but she could check his room. Gabi said she would check his room. Ivan said he would take care of everything for Vivian. He got Stefan’s suitcase and packed his things to make it look like he left town. When he was finished packing the suitcase, he pulled out an envelope.

When Gabi went in Stefan’s room, Ivan hid behind a door with the suitcase. She saw the envelope Ivan left. EJ showed up in the room. She handed him the letter. EJ read the letter. It said Stefan couldn’t get over what EJ and Gabi did so he was leaving Salem. Stefan said he wouldn’t forgive them and they were dead to him. Gabi ran out of the room. EJ went after her. When EJ found Gabi, she was looking at the divorce papers. While he was comforting her, she told him not to touch her. She said he was trying to take advantage of her and blamed him for the end of her marriage. While she was talking to him, she said he ruined everything. EJ reminded her that she came on to him because Stefan betrayed her. Gabi yelled at him to get out of the room to which he reminded her that it was his house. When Ivan went back to the Salem Inn, he found the police tape on her door. Vivian ended up calling him. At the hospital, Rafe told Jada that he was worried when he heard the gunshot. She thanked him for being worried about her. He said it was the least he could do after the way she worried about him. They said they loved each other. While they were talking, he proposed to her. She accepted his proposal. Gabi decided to sign the divorce papers. Steve showed up at the Horton house to check on Chad. Chad said he couldn’t believe he thought Cat was Abby even though everyone tried to warn him she wasn’t. Steve felt as if he let him down, but Chad said his children would have lost both of their parents if it weren’t for him. Chad said he saved his family to which Steve reminded him that it was his family too. While they were talking, Chad asked Steve if he could get him in to see Clyde. Steve told him Clyde escaped, but he was going to find him. Out of the blue, Chad got a call from an unknown number. It turned out to be Clyde. Clyde said he would reunite him with what was left of Abby, but Chad had to do something for him. He told Chad what he wanted offscreen. Steve asked what was going on. Clyde knew Steve was there and said he would be in touch with him soon. EJ went to see Chad and told him he was going to throw the book at Mark and Cat. Chad said he didn’t care about Mark, but he wanted Cat to go free.

Holly went to see Tate who apologized for not answering her text last night. He said he didn’t see it until the morning. She said she thought he might have been busy. He said he was with Sophia last night. Holly interrupted him to say that she didn’t want him to explain since she knew Sophia was trying to be with him and they broke up. She said she knew she messed up and hoped he would take her back. While she was talking, she said she regretted what she did and was sorry. He said he appreciated what she said and asked about Paris. She said she found out Brady was innocent and was glad he was out of prison and believed she transferred her anger at Eric to his father. While she was talking, she apologized again and asked if it was too late to work things out. When Tate tried to tell Holly about what happened with Sophia, she interrupted him. Holly said he and Sophia were friends and Sophia hated her. She wanted him to think about forgiving her and giving their relationship another chance. He said he was glad that she was home and would think about what she said. She thanked him and left for school. Sophia ran into Ava at the town square and wondered if she could change shifts so she could hang out with Tate. Ava was able to tell that she was in a good mood. Sophia told her she slept with Tate. Ava thought things were moving too fast. Sophia said she wanted it for a long time. Ava asked if they used protection to which Sophia said they did. Ava asked if Sophia had any regrets. Sophia said she didn’t have any regrets. Ava was happy for her that things went well, but wondered about Holly. Sophia asked why she was asking her so many questions when she was the one who told her to go for it. Ava said she wanted things to go well for her, but she should protect herself too. They continued talking about Tate and Holly.

Kate went to see Philip at the Salem Inn but saw Vivian. She wondered why Vivian was in her son’s room. Vivian corrected her and said he was her son. They got into an argument. Kate asked where Philip was to which Vivian said he wasn’t there. When Kate warned her to stay away from her son, Vivian said she couldn’t do that. Kate asked what she was up to. Vivian told her she was helping Philip get back Titan. Kate told her that whatever she was doing was over and was going to call the police. Vivian stopped her from calling the policed and offered to give her part of the money. She said Kate could use it to help with the soap opera. Kate wondered what Vivian brought to the table since Philip had his place. Vivian said she provided a letter saying Victor wanted to leave everything to Philip not Xander. Kate said the only way she could have gotten that letter was to forge it. Vivian called her smart and warned her that she would implicate Philip if she implicated her. She told Kate to come back to the dark side. When Vivian extended her hand to Kate, she shook it. When Philip walked into the Kiriakis mansion, Xander was talking to Victor’s painting about killing him if Kate couldn’t talk any sense into him. Philip said Victor wouldn’t like what he was saying. He opened up the safe behind the painting and pulled out a gun. After he handed Xander the gun, Philip told him to kill him. Xander told him not to play games. Philip said he knew he was all talk and no action. Xander took the gun and pointed it towards Philip and said he wasn’t afraid to use it. He said he wasn’t above doing whatever he had to do to protect his family. While he was talking, Xander said Philip was making a mistake trying to stop the transfer of Titan to Kristen. Philip said he didn’t have any proof that the serum would work. Xander said Rolf made miracles before and his concern was Sarah’s health. Philip said he didn’t deserve the fortune because he was a loser and if he wanted to lose his family, he should pull the trigger. When Xander pulled the trigger, it was empty. Philip said Maggie hated having a loaded gun in the house and took a chance on the gun being empty. Xander said if Kate couldn’t change his mind, he would be dead. Philip said Kate didn’t know he was in town to which Xander said wasn’t true because he talked to her. Philip was upset and left the mansion. When Philip went to the Salem Inn, he warned Vivian that she had to get out of town before his mother found her. Vivian said she already found her and knew about the forged letter, but not that Philip knew what was going on.

Holly debated on texting Tate to let him know she was back but changed her mind. Maggie came in and welcomed her home. She asked if Holly saw Eric. Holly said she saw him and forgave him and hoped that Tate would forgive her. They talked about Holly trying to get evidence against Brady. Maggie said Holly was feeling the pain of what happened to her father. Holly said she felt foolish acting the way she was when Brady was innocent. She regretted the way she treated Tate. Maggie advised her to tell Tate how she felt about her father’s death which caused her to act the way she did. She told Holly to apologize to Tate and tell him how much she missed him. Holly was afraid Tate would ghost her if she sent the text. Maggie told her she wouldn’t know unless she sent it. Holly sent the text, but it went unanswered. Maggie suggested watching a movie, but Holly was distracted by her phone and why Tate didn’t respond to her text. She told Holly to call Tate. Tate invited Sophia over to hang out. He apologized to her for what happened with the prom, but she said it was a long time ago. Tate suggested watching a movie but it didn’t work. He wanted to go in his room to watch it. When they went in the room, he left his phone in the living room and didn’t see Holly’s text. While they were watching the movie, Sophia told Tate how she felt about him. Tate admitted he had feelings for her. They started making out. While they were making out, Holly knocked on the door. Tate thought he heard something, but Sophia said it was her heart pounding. Holly decided to give up and left. Sophia asked Tate if he had protection to which he said he did. He grabbed a condom out of the nightstand.

At the Brady Pub, Kayla talked to Roman about Chad and fake Abby. While they were talking, Steve came in and told them that he talked to Marlena about Catharina and her mother. He told them Cat’s mother was the same one John thought he killed. Steve said she was still alive. Kayla asked where she was. Steve said he didn’t know and wasn’t sure if she was still alive. He told them that Clyde was holding her hostage. While they were talking, the warden at the prison called Steve and told him Clyde escaped during a transfer to the courthouse for a hearing. At the police station, Chad confronted Catharina. She said she hated what she did to him, but she didn’t have a choice since her mother’s life was in danger. The longer it went on the harder she fell for him. Chad wanted to know where his wife was. When Catharina was confused, Chad asked where was his wife’s body. He said he had Abby’s body exhumed and her body wasn’t in the grave. Catharina said she didn’t know where Abby was, but Chad didn’t believe her. She said she had nothing to do with Abby’s body being missing. Chad was tired of wasting his time with her and decided to talk to Clyde. She asked if he could ask Clyde about her mother if she talked to him. Catharina said she hoped her mother was alive, but she probably wasn’t. Chad said she didn’t have a right to ask for anything and left. Ava ran into Brady at the town square. She said she heard he was out of prison. Brady said he felt bad for falling off the wagon. They talked about Kristen and how she was going to help Sarah. The subject turned to Fiona and Sophia. Ava said Sophia had a crush on Tate. She said Sophia wanted to pursue Tate, but was afraid he still had feelings for Holly. Brady talked about Tate and Holly’s break up. They continued talking to each other and enjoying each other’s company.

Sarah was shocked to see Fiona at the town square and wondered why she was out of jail. Fiona said the D.A. dropped the charges which meant she was free. Sarah wondered how she managed that after everything she has done. Fiona said it was because she kept changing her story about what happened which wouldn’t hold up in court. Sarah said it wasn’t possible since Brady saw her too. Fiona said Brady wouldn’t be a reliable witness since he was drunk. Sarah said Fiona confessed, but Fiona said she didn’t confess to the police so she was free. She wondered what happened to Fiona and asked if her wanting to reunite with Xander was a lie. Fiona said everything was real and she would give anything to change what happened. She was ashamed of what happened, but drinking eased the pain of her ruining everything. When Sarah was about to leave, Fiona stopped her to ask for a favor. Justin told Xander not to sign over Titan to Kristen because someone filed a motion stopping the transfer. Xander wondered who it could be since it had to be a family member. Philip walked in and said he was going to stop Xander from throwing away his father’s business. Xander said he didn’t know what he was doing to which Philip said he was Victor’s son too. Xander reminded him that Victor didn’t leave the business to him so he didn’t have any legal rights to which Philip said wasn’t true. Before Kristen left, she told Xander he could keep the first serum and let her know when he was ready for the second one. Xander told Philip that he wasn’t in Victor’s will. Philip said that Victor did that to protect him, but now that Brady has forgiven him, he was back. He gave Justin a letter from that was given to him while he was in the facility. Justin read the letter. It was a letter from Victor before his crash. The letter said Victor left Titan to Philip, but wasn’t able to since Philip was pretending to be dead. Xander asked Justin if Philip had a case. Justin said he couldn’t say, but the letter was enough to stop the transfer. of Titan. Xander said he was doing it for Sarah. He asked Philip to drop the lawsuit. Philip refused to drop the lawsuit. He said he felt bad for Sarah but there was no guarantee the serum would work and asked if it was worth giving up a million dollar company for. Xander said it was worth it. Philip said Xander put himself in this position for believing a mother who treated him badly. He said if Xander was paying attention, he would have noticed that his mother was still an alcoholic before she hit Sarah. When Xander was about to attack Philip, Justin came between them. Justin suggested that Xander go and cool off. Xander agreed to go for a walk. Philip told Justin that his father wouldn’t want the company going to a DiMera so he was going to make sure that didn’t happen.

Xander looked at the serum and was furious with Philip. Sarah showed up and told him Fiona was free. Xander wondered how that happened. Sarah told him she would tell him later, but Fiona wanted her to give him something. She gave him a letter from Fiona. Fiona told him she was leaving Salem and didn’t expect forgiveness. She said she tried to change for him and her granddaughter, but wasn’t able to do it. One day she would change but if it didn’t happen, she wanted him to know she loved him. Xander threw away the letter and was upset that Fiona was getting away with what she did. He was thankful that she was out of their lives. Sarah asked what happened with Kristen to which he said they needed to talk. Brady talked to Eric about Fiona and how he couldn’t believe he trusted her. Eric was glad it was over and said the right person was in jail. Brady said he couldn’t thank him enough for helping him. He blamed himself for being drunk which led to Fiona driving his car. Eric reminded him that he wasn’t driving the car and that he needed to stop drinking and moved on. Brady told him Sarah could walk again thanks to Kristen. He told Eric about the serum. Eric thought it was out of character for Kristen to be generous. Brady said Kristen was full of surprises. Kristen showed up. Eric said he was going to go home. Brady thanked him for his help. Eric said he would keep in touch. After Eric left, Kristen surprised Brady with a new car. Brady was shocked that she got him the car. While they were talking, he brought up the serum. Kristen said she didn’t give him the serum yet. She said she gave him the first half, but Rolf was putting the finishing touches on it. When everything was sorted out, she would give Xander the other half of the serum. Stefan went to Stefano’s painting and said he was going to fight for his marriage. A masked man came up from behind him and put him in a choke hold. After Stefan fell on the sofa, Ivan took off the mask. Vivian walked in and complimented his work. She said when she heard about the divorce she didn’t think it was true. It was her mission to make sure Stefan didn’t fall for Gabi’s antics again. When she looked at the divorce papers, she thought Stefan was being too generous. She signed the papers and said Stefan was free. When Stefan woke up, he was tied in a trunk. He saw Ivan standing over him. Stefan asked why he was there. Ivan said he was doing what his mother wanted. Stefan wanted to know where he was going. Ivan told him they were going to Alamania so he could have a life without Gabi. Stefan said he needed to fight for his marriage. He tried to set himself free, but Ivan told him that wasn’t a good idea since his mother made sure his marriage was over. Vivian met with Philip at the Salem Inn and asked how it went. Philip said Xander was upset the way she thought he would be and said Sarah needed the drug. Vivian said Sarah would have to find another way because Titan was going to be theirs.

Bonnie went to see Abe and told him she had someone in mind to play the character of Regan. Abe wondered who she had in mind. Bonnie suggested Chloe’s sister Joy. Abe said she wasn’t on his audition list. Bonnie said she came from New York and was talented. When Abe asked if Joy had experience, Bonnie reminded him that he took a chance on her when she didn’t have experience. Abe said he didn’t want any additional problems. Bonnie said there wouldn’t be any problems. He decided to give Joy a chance. Chanel went to Alex’s apartment. They talked about Stephanie and whether or not they want a relationship. While they were talking, Abe sent Chanel a text needing to see her. She asked Alex to pick up Johnny’s cake and not to let Johnny find out. Stephanie and Paulina had a meeting to go over Paulina’s speech. Leo showed up and told them there was an emergency. He said there was a sex scandal on Body and Soul and he needed Stephanie. Paulina said the show hasn’t been on the air yet. Leo said that was why he needed Stephanie to put a stop to it. Stephanie wanted to know what was going on. Leo said he heard that Alex was having sex with one of his co-stars. Paulina said she hoped it wasn’t her daughter. Leo said he wasn’t suggesting Chanel, Bonnie or Hattie because there was plenty of actresses who could have fallen for Alex. Paulina asked why it was a scandal since co-stars fall for each other all the time. Leo said it happened on the set so they had to make the scandal go away before it ruined everything.

When Stephanie was alone, she was upset with herself for what happened with Alex. She ran into Alex while he was picking up Johnny’s cake. He noticed something was wrong with her and asked if she was okay. Stephanie said they shouldn’t sleep together ever again. Alex said he would respect her decision, but wondered what happened. She said they work together and what they did on the set was a mistake. They should remain professional. Alex agreed to what she wanted if she was sure. Stephanie said she was and walked away from him. Nancy went to Joy’s room and wondered where she was. Joy said she went to a bar and met a guy. When Nancy asked who she met, Joy flashed back to meeting Johnny. Joy said she met a guy Nancy probably didn’t know. She changed the subject by asking Nancy if she talked to her friend about the role. Nancy said Bonnie was trying to get her an audition. While they were talking, Bonnie texted Nancy and told her Abe agreed to see Joy. Chanel went to see Abe. He told her he needed her to read with an actress. She wondered who the actress was. Joy showed up and introduced herself. Abe gave them the scenes to read. Chanel and Joy went over their scenes. After the audition was over, Joy asked if she got the part. Abe said he would let her know. Marlena wished Johnny a happy birthday and gave him a cupcake from Chanel’s bakery. When Johnny didn’t want the cupcake, she noticed that something was wrong. He brought up her taking over for Charlemagne. Marlena said Leo talked her into doing it since Hattie stormed off the set. Johnny said she cursed the show. He said he felt the curse was working. When Marlena asked why he said that, Seth showed up to say he couldn’t wait to work with her. Bonnie showed up and took Marlena to the set. Seth told Johnny that there was unprofessional behavior on the set. They cast of Body and Soul started shooting scenes. After they finished shooting, Alex told Chanel that he bought the cake. When Johnny showed up, Alex left. Johnny wanted to know what he walked in on. Chanel lied and said they were running lines. Johnny called her a liar and said he knew she had sex with Alex. When she called him crazy, he said he saw them together before. He told her he followed her to Alex’s apartment and overheard them saying he was clueless. Chanel said it wasn’t what he thought, but Johnny said it was. He insulted her before he walked away from her. When Johnny walked on the set, he saw the surprised birthday party. Alex told him Chanel did everything for him. Chanel was furious and walked away. Johnny figured out that he made a mistake. Joy went back to the Salem Inn and told Nancy that the audition went well. Steve hit Mark before he could kill Chad. A surprised Chad wanted to know what was going on. Steve told him that the woman posing as Abby wasn’t the real one. He said she was an imposter and said Kayla ran another DNA test that proved she wasn’t Abby. Abby checked on Mark. Steve told Chad that Mark falsified the DNA test results. Chad asked her if it was true, but was able to tell by looking at her that it was. She admitted that she wasn’t Abby. A shocked Chad couldn’t believe it. He asked if Mark was her boyfriend. She said he was her brother. Steve said it was time to get the police involved, but Chad said he wanted answers. When Chad took Abby to another room, he wanted her to start talking. He asked why she pretended to be his wife. She wanted him to know that it wasn’t her idea and that it was Clyde’s plan. Chad wanted to know why Clyde did this. She said she didn’t know but assumed Clyde wanted to torment him and get his money. A furious Chad was shocked that she would pretend to be a dead woman for money and said she didn’t care about him. She said she didn’t expect him to believe her, but she had feelings for him. When he said he didn’t believe her, she said she cared about her and her intentions weren’t malicious. She said she hated lying to him because she fell in love with him. He asked how she knew his and Abby’s wedding vows. She said she looked through a box of mementos in the attic and found Abby’s vows written down. Chad said she was sick for making him feel this way. He said if she cared about him she would have told him the truth before he thought he had his wife back in his life and before her brother tried to kill him. She said she didn’t know her brother was coming to kill him and got in the way to keep Mark from killing him. The plan was for her to marry him and transfer his money over to Clyde and that would have been the end of it. Chad asked how she was going to explain what happened to his money. She said she was going to be gone by then. Chad said her brother or Clyde must have decided that it would have been easier for him to die. She denied knowing anything about that part of the plan.

Chad told “Abby” that a part of him knew something wasn’t right, but he believed it because he wanted it to be true. He wanted to believe Abby was back in his and the kids’ lives. It was the first time since Abby died when he wasn’t in pain. Thanks to her, he had to mourn Abby all over again. He thought Abby’s parents were going to be furious when they found out and was grateful that he didn’t tell the kids the truth. She said that was why she didn’t want him to tell them and why she wanted to go to Paris. Clyde threatened to kill her mother if they didn’t do what he wanted. She said Clyde’s men were holding her hostage and if Clyde didn’t get his money, they would kill her. Chad wanted to know how he was supposed to believe her. She said she didn’t expect him to believe her. He said he didn’t know who she was. She told him her name was Cathrina. Chad didn’t know if she was telling the truth about that and didn’t care. He said what he knew was that she and her brother committed fraud against the people who loved Abby and threatened to make her pay. Steve tied Mark to a chair. JJ walked in and wondered what was going on with the doctor. Steve said the doctor tried to kill Chad and was the brother of the woman pretending to be Abby. JJ realized his mother was right and dreaded having to tell his father the truth. Steve suggested they waited for more information before they told Jack the truth. He was convinced Clyde was involved. When Mark woke up, Steve told him they knew the truth and that his sister and Chad were talking things out. Xander went to see Kristen who told him she wasn’t giving him the serum since Brady was still behind bars. Xander said Brady was free and that his mother was the one who did it and was arrested. He explained what his mother did and how EJ didn’t want to let Brady go free until he and Sarah convinced him to do it. When Xander asked for the serum, Kristen said she had to confirm what he told her first. If Brady was out, she should be able to talk to him. Brady ran into Sarah at the police station. She told him she was glad the right person was behind bars, but she wanted to tell him something. When they went into the conference room, Brady got a call from Kristen. He let her know he was on his way home. Kristen asked him to come see Rachel and wanted to know how he got released. After Brady got off the phone, Sarah said she felt terrible for blaming him for her accident. Brady said thanks to Fiona, he thought he was guilty too. Sarah said she was the one who made a statement to the police and would understand if she never forgave her. Brady said he forgave her and had to learn to forgive himself for being weak which allowed Fiona to frame him. Sarah said he was a good man who knew not to drive so he should give himself credit for that. He asked if she was confused for why she said he was the driver. She said she lied to the police. Brady understood her wanting him to pay but couldn’t understand why she lied. Sarah said she didn’t do it to punish him. He said he had time to think about it and realized she was protecting Xander from killing him. When Sarah started crying, he knew he was right. Brady said he understood Xander wanting to get payback and thought a guilty man going to prison was better than the father of her child. She thanked him for understanding. He said he knew she tried to do the right thing by recanting her statement. Sarah said she did it because there is a serum that could help her walk again. She said the only way she could get it if she recanted her statement. Brady said he knew who made the deal. Kristen told Xander that she talked to Brady and he was released, but she figured out that Eric was the one who figured out Brady was innocent and that neither he nor Sarah had anything to do with Brady getting released. She said she was keeping the serum. Xander told her that he and Sarah convinced EJ to drop the charges against Brady. She said EJ would have dropped the charges. Since she was feeling generous, she was willing to give him the serum in exchange for Titan. Xander asked why she wanted the company when she had her own. Kristen said she wanted to merge Titan and DiMera which would make her unstoppable. She said the board wasn’t happy with the numbers and was losing faith in her. If she had Titan, she would regain their trust. Xander refused to give her his father’s company. He said she didn’t need Titan because she serum would make her a fortune. Kristen said it could take years for the serum to get on the market and by then one of her brothers could take over the company. Xander didn’t want to hand over his father’s company to the daughter of his enemy. Kristen said it was a small price to pay to help Sarah walk again. When Xander went home, he told Sarah that Kristen would give them the serum in exchange for Titan.

Johnny had a nightmare that Chanel and Alex had sex. When he woke up and realized he was dreaming. He ran into Chanel on the phone. She told him she was talking to Felicity about Sweet Bits. Chanel said he didn’t sleep in the bed last night. Johnny said he slept on the couch. He asked her about her back to which she said was stiff but feeling better. She couldn’t believe she threw her back out tying her shoes. Johnny thought about Alex making love to someone in the hospital bed. He asked if she wanted to drive to the set together. Chanel said Kate postponed her scenes until tomorrow to make sure her back was feeling better. Johnny said that would give him more time to prepare for directing her scene with Alex in bed. She asked if he was okay with directing the scene and wondered if he was still jealous. He said he wasn’t jealous. Steve talked to Kayla about Mark and how he lied about the results of the DNA test. Kayla told him it was a violation of Abby’s rights. Steve said he didn’t ask Mark to run the test on Abby. He said he gave Mark their DNA but said they were Abby and Thomas’. Steve said Mark told her Abby was Thomas’ mother. Kayla said they shouldn’t jump to conclusions. Steve said there’s no other explanation. He said there was one way to prove it since Abby and Jack’s samples were still in the lab. Kayla said she would rerun the test. Mark talked to Clyde about his reservations about killing Chad and wondered what would happen if he got caught. Clyde suggested that he doesn’t get caught and not to tell his sister about their plan. Mark asked Clyde if he was going to let his mother go once his sister married Chad. When Mark got off the phone, Felicity showed up. Mark wanted to talk to her about something. Felicity assumed it was about Abby. Mark wondered why she assumed it was about Abby. Felicity said she reminded her of their mother. Mark said he could see it in her mannerisms. He said he had to take care of their parents estate. Felicity said she missed them.

Stephanie woke up in bed with Alex. When Alex wondered why she was so jumpy, she told him they made a mistake. Stephanie got dressed and said she had to check in with Body and Soul and Paulina. When she opened the door, Chanel was there. After Stephanie left, Chanel said she didn’t know Alex and Stephanie were together. Alex said it just happened and that they were friends with benefits. Chanel wanted to talk to him about Johnny’s birthday and how she wanted to plan a surprise party for him. She said she wanted to have the party on the set and didn’t want anyone else to find out about it. While they were talking, Chanel told him that things were awkward and this would show Johnny that the set was a friendly place. Before she left, she told him to keep it between them. After she left, Alex closed the door. Johnny showed up around the corner. Abby looked at Chad and the real Abby’s wedding picture and regretted what she was doing to Chad. Chad showed up and wondered why she was crying. Abby said she was feeling a lot today. Chad said they would be happy again. Abby said she wanted that too, but she wasn’t her. Chad asked what she meant by that, but she said she meant she had a different face and didn’t have any memories of the woman in the picture. She said she was a different woman. Chad said he changed too but the only thing that matter to him was that she was Abby. He said that it was important that she remembered that she loved him. While they were talking about their feelings, Chad ignored Steve’s calls. Steve left a message for Chad to call him back. Kayla showed up and told him he was right about that woman not being Abby. Kayla said she felt bad for Jack and Chad. Steve said he wondered why Mark lied. He said Mark and the woman needed to be stopped. Steve wanted to call Jada, but they had to stop Chad. Kayla sent Chad a text saying Abby wasn’t the real Abby.

While Chad was at the hospital, he talked to Steve on the phone. Steve said he heard Chad took Abby to Paris. Chad said he hoped it would stir up some memories, but she hasn’t remembered anything concrete yet. He thought Steve was still suspicious of Abby which was why he called. Steve said he was concerned about him. Chad let him know that he was okay and that he and Abby were getting married. While Chad was talking, he said Abby remembered their vows and how happy she was that day. He said she was the one who wanted to get married because it would help her get her memory back. A suspicious Steve said he had questions and thought Chad should have some too. Before Chad got off the phone, he told Steve he was getting married and would give Abby his love. In Paris, Abby was on the phone. Holly walked by. Abby told Mark that she and Chad were getting married. She said she knew what was at stake, but she was doing it for their mother. Mark told her he saw Clyde and wanted him to do something else. While Abby was on the phone, she noticed Holly watching her on the phone. She told Mark she had to get off the phone. When Abby got off the phone, Holly introduced herself and told her she was visiting her mother. Holly said she didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but she thought she heard her say she was getting married. Abby said it was an impulse thing. A confused Holly said she thought she heard her say she was getting married because of her mother. Abby lied and said she was talking to JJ about their mother having a hard time accepting her. She said she hoped getting married would trigger a memory and then her mother would accept it. Abby excused herself to look for a dress, but Holly asked to go with her. She took Holly to the suite to see Chad. Holly told Chad she was in Paris to see her mother. When she said she was going to get a motel, he asked her to stay in their room. He said they needed a witness for the wedding and Abby needed a maid of honor. Mark was glad Abby hung up because he didn’t want to tell her that Clyde wanted him to kill Chad. Steve showed up at the hospital to see Mark. He said Kayla spoke highly of him. Steve asked him to run a DNA test on his niece. He said his family was having trouble accepting the results so a second test would give them peace of mind. When Mark agreed to do the test, Steve gave him samples of Abby and Thomas’ DNA. Mark said he would put a rush on it.

When Mark came back from the lab, he told Steve that the DNA results were conclusive and that Abby and Thomas were a match. Steve thanked Mark. When Mark left, Steve said Kayla would be surprised that they were mother and son. Steve realized Mark faked the tests results and the woman claiming to be Abby wasn’t Abby. Xander told Maggie that Kristen had a cure for Sarah’s paralysis because of Rolf. He said Kristen was willing to give the cure if they got the charges against Brady dropped. Maggie called Kristen delusional because they couldn’t get the charges dropped. Xander said Sarah’s testimony was all EJ had against Brady. He said EJ threatened to have Sarah arrested if she recanted her statement. Xander said EJ was determined to make Brady pay. He blamed himself for why Sarah wouldn’t be able to walk again. Maggie asked how this was his fault. Xander said Sarah didn’t remember Brady hitting her, but she lied to the police to keep him from killing Brady. He said he wanted justice and when she found out what he was doing, she lied to the police. When Xander told Maggie his plan, she told him nothing good could come from revenge. He said it was his fault that Brady would be locked up and Sarah wouldn’t have the cure. Xander asked if Maggie hated him to which she said she could never hate him, but his need for revenge hurts people. She said she would try to talk to Kristen to see if she could change her mind. He said she always fixes the problems he creates. Maggie said she was doing it for Sarah. Eric told Brady they needed to talk about Fiona. Brady swore he didn’t know who Fiona was when he met her. Eric asked if Fiona was drinking that night. Brady told him she was drinking. Eric said Fiona was driving that night and put him in the driver seat. Brady said he was making crazy accusations. Eric wanted him to search his brain. Brady started thinking about the night of the accident and remember Fiona driving. He told Eric he remembered Fiona driving and telling him she hit someone. Brady said he didn’t hit Sarah. Sarah remembered seeing Fiona behind the wheel when she got hit. When Fiona came in the room, Sarah said she was the one who hit her. Fiona asked where she got such a crazy idea. Sarah said Eric told her she was with Brady and drinking. Fiona said she was with Brady but that didn’t mean she had anything to do with the accident. She said she kept it a secret because of the bad blood between Xander and Brady. Fiona said she tried to convince Brady not to drive that night. She said Eric was trying to save Brady by putting ideas in her head. An unconvinced Sarah told her she knew it was her and wanted her to admit it. Fiona asked why she was doing this when she didn’t have a clear memory of what happened before. Sarah said she remembered now. Fiona thought Eric put the idea in her head. Sarah said she was sick of her antics and was going to call Xander. Fiona took the phone out of Sarah’s hand and said she couldn’t lose her son. Sarah didn’t care about that. Fiona said she was lonely and now had her family. She said it was an accident. Fiona said she was drinking, but Brady was worse. Fiona thought she was doing the right thing and never meant to hurt her. She continued to blame herself for what happened. Sarah reminded her that she framed Brady. Fiona said she didn’t want Brady to go to prison, but didn’t realize he would turn himself in. She said she thought Brady would have been in the clear until Sarah identified him. Sarah said she lied to save Xander and now Brady had to go to prison for 10 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. She said she didn’t care if EJ put her in jail for perjury because she was telling everyone what Fiona did. Fiona said she couldn’t let her do that. She pushed Sarah’s chair towards the stairs and apologized to her for the accident she was about to have. Sarah tried to fight her off, but Fiona said Xander would find her at the bottom of the stairs and think she lost control of her chair and no one would be the wiser. Xander showed up and said he would.

Melinda showed up in Gabi’s hospital room to check on her and to bring her paperwork to sign. She told Gabi that Stefan wanted her to draw up divorce papers. Melinda told her she would turn Stefan down if she didn’t want to sign the divorce papers. Gabi told her that she and Stefan agreed to the divorce so she could draw up the papers. EJ ran into Stefan and was happy that Brady was getting what was coming to him. They ended up arguing over EJ sleeping with Gabi. EJ said Stefan’s issues didn’t matter since he and Gabi were getting a divorce. He said Gabi told him about it. Stefan said he knew Gabi and she wouldn’t sleep with him since they were getting divorced. A smug EJ asked why he cared if they were getting divorced. Stefan said he wouldn’t want Gabi tied to someone like EJ. EJ said they had to learn to live civilly since they would be living together until she took everything from Stefan. Stefan said that wasn’t going to happen. He said he and Gabi talked and he would be shocked if she came in the house again. Gabi showed up at the house while Stefan was talking. EJ told Gabi he would have picked her up if he knew she was getting out. He said he was late for a meeting and left. Stefan asked how Gabi was. She said she was okay, but didn’t expect him to hire Melinda. Gabi thought it helped his case that Melinda had a crush on him and would do anything to help him win. She said she was right to take the family fortune, but as he said, there was nothing left to fight for. While she was talking, she let him know she was moving out.

At the police station, Eric told Brady that Holly was visiting Nicole in Paris. While they were talking, Brady’s plea deal came up. Brady said he was going to plead guilty. He said EJ offered him a plea deal of 10 years if he pleaded guilty to which he was okay with because he wanted to pay for what he did. Eric said Brady had a future and could make up for what he did. He said he wouldn’t lose the guilt, but he could learn from it. After they finished talking, Eric left to go to the pub. Eric talked to Roman about Brady’s case. He told Roman things didn’t add up. Sarah suddenly remembering Brady was the driver and Xander being in Brady’s room when the police showed up was suspicious. Brady not remembering drinking was suspicious too. Eric said he saw Sarah talking to Fiona about a secret. He wondered if Fiona was connected to the accident. Roman said it was possible that Fiona could have been with Brady that night. Eric said he had an idea. Sarah struggled with doing certain things. Fiona came in and comforted her. Sarah told her that she and Xander were grateful she was there. She thanked Fiona for not telling the police about her lie. It would have never happened if she didn’t think Brady was responsible for hitting her. She said she wished she could remember her. Kristen went to see Xander at Titan to find out when he was getting Brady out of jail. Xander said he would never get him out of jail. Kristen reminded him that Sarah would get out of the chair if he set Brady free. Xander said he didn’t believe her and didn’t want Sarah to be Rolf’s guinea pig in case the experiment didn’t work. Kristen said the drug was almost ready and that Rolf used the same drug on Marlena, Kayla, Kate, and Bo. Xander asked to go to the lab, but Kristen laughed at him. She said Rolf would give him data for Sarah to look over, but he had to get Sarah to recant her statement and help Brady. If Sarah didn’t do it, it would be Xander’s fault she never walked again. When Xander went home he found Sarah who was upset. She told him about the problems she had. Sarah said she shouldn’t have gotten upset when other people are able to handle it. She said there was nothing left to do. Xander said that wasn’t true. He told her about Kristen’s offer. Sarah laughed at the idea of Rolf helping her and wondered why Kristen would help him. When he told her what Kristen wanted, Sarah was floored. Sarah said she had to think about it, but Xander said it had to be done before the hearing. Later on EJ showed up and wanted to know what was going on. He told them about Brady’s plea deal, but Xander stopped him from talking. Xander said Sarah wasn’t confident about her statement. EJ asked if that was true. Sarah said she wasn’t sure to which EJ said she seemed sure before. She said the image wasn’t clear so she could have been wrong. An upset EJ asked what they were telling him. Sarah said she wanted to recant her statement. EJ said she wasn’t doing it. Eric went to the bar and asked the server if he recognized Brady. The server said he recognized Brady because of the way he acted. Eric asked why he let someone drunk leave. The server said the lady said she had it under control. Eric asked who he was talking about and showed him a picture of Fiona. The server said they left together.

EJ went to Paulina with a signed statement from Stefan recanting his statement about EJ helping Sloan with the baby switch. He said she didn’t have a reason to fire him. Paulina said Melinda didn’t want the job so she didn’t have a replacement for him. EJ said he will keep the job and wasn’t going to hold her up. She said they both knew the statement was a lie and wondered how he got Stefan to sign it. He said it was the truth and that Stefan tried to ruin him so he threatened to sue him for defamation. She asked what they were going to do when they ran out of things to use against each other. Before EJ left, he said that wouldn’t happen. Stefan went to see Gabi at the hospital. She wondered what he was there. He said he talked to his lawyer and was filing for divorce. Stefan said he was surprised she didn’t file first. Gabi said he vowed to fight for their marriage and wondered what made him rush to file for divorce. He said he didn’t rush. They were both miserable together so there was no point in dragging it out. Gabi felt it was still sudden and wondered why he did it now. Stefan told her that EJ told him he would never be able to get the image of her and EJ out of his head. Gabi said she knew what he meant because she kept seeing him with Ava. He said there was no fixing it so there was nothing left to fight for. She said when the bomb ticked off and she thought she was going to die, she found herself wanting to tell him she loved him one more time. When he came to the hospital that night, she was going to forgive him until he said he was going to have sex with Ava. He said he didn’t sleep with Ava, but she tried to sleep with EJ for a second time except he turned her down. Gabi said she wanted to hurt him the way he hurt her. She said hurting someone you’re supposed to love is something you shouldn’t do. Gabi reminded him about the way he treated her when he came back into her life. Stefan said they found their way back to each other and were happy. She said the only thing keeping her going in prison was him waiting for her and then she found out he cheated on her with Ava. He apologized to her and would give anything to erase what he did.

Stefan told Gabi that he never loved anyone the way he loved her. He said she was his everything. While he was talking, he recited what he told her on their anniversary. He said he was a fool who messed up everything. She agreed that he messed up and said she messed up too. They apologized to each other. Gabi told him the damage was done and there was nothing left for them. She told him to file for divorce so they could get it over with. They said goodbye to each other before Stefan left. When he left Gabi cried. Abby met Chad at the Horton House. Chad told her he wanted to tell the kids the truth. Abby said they couldn’t do that. She said they agreed to wait because it was too soon. Chad said the kids needed her and have gone long enough without her. He said the longer they waited, the bigger the chance of them finding out from someone else. Abby said she didn’t want them to find out from a stranger, but she was just starting to remember things. She asked what was wrong with waiting. Chad said the kids were smart and would figure it out. He said they needed their mother. Chad asked if she wanted her old life back. He thought seeing the kids would bring back memories. Abby said she felt like she disappointed him by not remembering and didn’t want to do the same thing to the kids. Julie showed up with the kids. Thomas asked who Abby was. He wondered why Abby was staring at him and why Chad was being quiet. Abby said she heard a lot about them and was a friend of the family. When Julie took the kids out of the room, Chad asked if seeing the kids triggered anything. Abby said it didn’t. He said he didn’t know what to do, but she had an idea. Ava went to the Bistro to see Stefan’s job offer still stood. Stefan asked if she was going to quit again. She said it depended on whether he was getting back together with Gabi. He said they weren’t getting back together. Ava asked if he was sure of what he was doing. He said part of him would always love Gabi but they couldn’t get past the mistakes they made. Ava said she appreciated the job, but she would take the job at the Brady Pub if it would help him get back together with Gabi. EJ went to see Gabi. He said Rafe told him to stay away from her. EJ asked her how they were going to live with each other. Gabi said it was a big house so they would figure it out. She told him Stefan was filing for divorce. While they were talking, she brought up how EJ taunted Stefan about not getting the image of them sleeping together out of his head. EJ admitted to tell Stefan that. She said he wanted to ruin her marriage. He apologized if he ruined her marriage, but he thought their marriage was over when they had sex. She said he was right and that getting upset with him was better than blaming herself. Gabi said she was the one who came on to him and he was a gentleman who turned her down when she wanted to have sex again. EJ suggested she fight for her marriage if she didn’t want it to end, but she thought it was over.

Eric went to Titan to talk to Xander about being in his parents’ house and standing over Brady. Xander said he was there to let Brady know he was going to pay for what he did to Sarah. Eric wondered how Brady got drunk, to which Xander said the same way anyone else does. Xander said Brady was drunk when he got in the apartment and then the police showed up. Eric said he didn’t believe him because he was with Brady and he said he didn’t drink. He said Brady told him about meeting a stranger who scratched his hand with a ring and then he blacked out. Xander asked if Eric was implying that he hired someone with a poisoned ring to drug Brady. Eric accused Xander of hiring someone to do his dirty work. Xander called him delusional, but Eric said he would prove Xander had something to do with what happened to Brady. Eric said Xander planned on killing Brady, but the police showed up before he could do it. Xander demanded that Eric leave his office. When Eric left, Xander was furious. Tate went to see Brady at the police station. Brady apologized that Tate had to see him the way he was the night before, but he didn’t drink. Tate wondered how Brady could say that. Brady said something knocked him out, but it wasn’t alcohol. He said he promised he wouldn’t drink again after what happened to Sarah. Tate said he believed him. Brady said he hated the fact that both of his parents were in prison. Tate told him he would be okay. Brady said he had his grandparents. Changing the subject, Brady asked about Holly. Tate said she was angry and didn’t understand. He said he couldn’t be with anyone who couldn’t understand that he loved his father and would stand by his side. While he was talking, Tate told him he caught Holly looking in Brady’s room for information. He said he suspected that she’s working with EJ and that he put her up to looking for the information. Brady said EJ was using her anger as a weapon. He told Tate not to be too hard on Holly. Brady said he was proud of Tate. When Tate left, Brady was upset with EJ.

Kristen asked EJ about having Brady arrested again when he didn’t have evidence against him. EJ told her that Sarah remembered that Brady was the one who hit her. He said Brady was going to pay for his crimes. Kristen said they both knew she was lying about Brady. She said Marlena couldn’t trigger Sarah’s memories so this total recall after finding out Brady wouldn’t facing charges was convenient. EJ said Sarah was a Horton and a model citizen. Kristen said Sarah lied about her daughter’s paternity twice. EJ said she was doing this because she loved Brady even though he hated her. Kristen said she and Brady were getting closer and that Rachel would be upset about Brady going to prison. She thought he was doing this to hurt Eric, but Brady wasn’t the reason why Nicole left him. EJ said Brady paralyzed Sarah so he had to pay for what he did. Kristen didn’t think so and left the room. Later on, Kristen went to the police station to check on Brady. She insulted EJ for doing this to Brady, but Brady said he deserved it. Kristen said he needed to fight and she would help him. He said nothing else could be done, but she said she had a plan. She said she could make Sarah disappear again. Brady told her not to do anything and let justice prevail. Kristen said she couldn’t do that because she and Rachel needed him. Before she left, she said she would do whatever it takes to save him. Sarah and Fiona went to the park. Fiona wanted to talk to her about lying to the police about Brady. Sarah wanted to know why Fiona assumed she didn’t remember Brady driving the car. Fiona said she heard her telling Xander that she lied to the police and asked why she lied. Sarah said she didn’t have a choice because Xander was going to kill Brady and make it look like a suicide. Fiona said it was her fault and blamed herself for hurting everyone. Sarah said it wasn’t her fault, but Fiona said she was to blame for everything. She asked why Fiona blamed herself. Fiona said she was with Brady when he was drinking and should have seen the signs since she’s a recovering alcoholic. She said she hoped Sarah could forgive her, but Sarah said there was nothing to forgive. Sarah said she hated lying to the police, but Brady would pay for what he did. Fiona was surprised she felt that way since she never said anything about Brady paying before. Sarah said she didn’t want him to pay at first but anyone who drove drunk should pay. She said Brady hit her and left her there. Fiona said she meant everything to her because she wouldn’t have reconciled with Xander or met her grandchild. When they hugged each other, Fiona wanted what they talked about to stay secret. Eric showed up and overheard them. EJ went to see Brady and told him he knew Kristen was there to see him. He said thanks to Sarah’s statement, Kristen couldn’t keep him out of prison. Kristen talked to Stefano’s painting about helping Brady. Rolf showed up out of the blue. Holly and Sophia got in an argument over Tate at the town square. While they were arguing, Holly slapped Sophia. Tate showed up and wondered what Holly was doing. Holly told him Sophia started the argument. Tate said she didn’t have to hit Sophia. When Tate took Sophia’s side, Holly was shocked. Sophia said she started the argument because she felt bad for him and his father. She said when she called Holly out for what she was doing to him, she slapped her. When Holly tried to explain herself, Tate told her she did enough damage. He said his father told him to give her a chance and that EJ was manipulating her, but he was done. Holly asked if he was breaking up with her. When Tate wouldn’t answer her, Holly called him a coward for not being able to say anything. Holly said they were done and that he and Sophia deserved each other.

Johnny had a nightmare of Chanel and Alex making love on the set of Body and Soul. Chanel talked to Paulina about her problems with Johnny. While they were talking, Johnny showed up. He told Chanel that he couldn’t believe she moved out after one fight. She said she went to her mother’s place to take a shower because they needed space. Johnny said she was right and he overreacted. He said the photo shoot brought up old memories, but he wanted to apologize. Chanel said she forgave him as long as he didn’t overreact again. She said she and Alex would talk to Abe and Kate about it being too soon for their characters to have sex. When Chanel left, Paulina talked to Johnny about his jealousy. He said the feeling took him by surprise because he thought he would be okay with Chanel and Alex working together. Paulina told him he was the one Chanel loved. She said he should be secure with that. Alex went to see Stephanie and apologized for keeping her up so late. He said he spent the night stressing over the show and wanted her advice on how to talk to the producers about making a mistake. Alex told her that it was too soon for his and Chanel’s characters to have sex on the show. Stephanie said he and Chanel should talk to them together. Alex sent Chanel a text about them talking to the producers together. Jada called Stephanie to tell her the truth about Everett’s death. When Stephanie told Alex that Connie murdered Everett. She couldn’t believe she invited Everett’s killer to his funeral. Every time she thought she was healing, she loses him. Alex comforted her and said he was there for her. She apologized and told him to go since he had to talk to Kate. He asked if she would be okay. She said she appreciated him being there for her.

Kate and Abe talked about the first day of shooting. She said Kayla gave them permission to use the hospital. Abe told her that Hattie gave him an ultimatum about Bonnie and said one of them had to go. He said Hattie was the star and held all the cards. Kate wondered if he felt that way because Hattie was playing his favorite character. Abe said the character held a special place in his heart and the fans loved her. Kate said Bonnie’s character is popular too. He said the fans love when the characters fight, but Hattie threatened to quit. Kate said giving in to Hattie’s demand could be dangerous because they didn’t know how long the next demand would happen. She thought other actors would do the same thing. Abe agreed with what she was saying. When Abe left, Alex showed up to talk to Kate about his love scenes with Chanel. He said it was too soon for their characters to have sex. Kate thought it was about his relationship with Chanel in the past, but he said it was just too soon. He said it was better to make the viewers wait and give them a reason to watch. When Chanel showed up, she was upset that Alex started without her. Once Chanel found out what was going on, she asked Kate if she agreed. Later on when Johnny showed up at the office, he found Chanel and Alex in there. Johnny asked if the scenes were going to be changed. Chanel said it wasn’t because Kate saw the chemistry between them. Bonnie went to Leo’s room and told him she refused to do the scenes with Hattie. Leo said he didn’t change any of the scenes and suggested that she be professional and happy to be a working actor. Bonnie thought Hattie got to him. Leo said Abe told him not to make any changes. She said that didn’t work for her, but he reminded her that they were under the gun and had to tape a show in one day. Bonnie said she knew how things worked. Leo said he wished Johnny did and told her about his jealousy. She said she understood how Johnny felt, but she was protecting her character. He said to take it up with Abe and Kate. When Bonnie left, Abe showed up to talk about Bonnie and Hattie. Leo said Bonnie showed up demanding more rewrites and was upset that Abe didn’t want to make any changes. Abe said he and Kate talked things out and Bonnie was going to be getting new pages, but not the ones she thought she was getting. Leo was shocked at the changes. He said there would be no turning back to which Abe said he understood. Hattie showed up at the pub for her scenes. When Bonnie showed up, Hattie wondered why she was there. Bonnie said she worked on the show too. Hattie said she was supposed to be fired. A shocked Bonnie couldn’t believe she went behind her back to get her fired. Hattie said she drove her crazy and wasn’t a team player. They argued with each other. While they were arguing, Leo showed up with the new pages Bonnie wanted. Leo said they were Abe’s orders. Bonnie said she was glad he came through, but Leo said it might not be with she thought. When Bonnie read the pages, she realized she was getting killed off.

Holly showed up at the hospital and was glad EJ was okay. Her concern touched EJ and he assumed he was back in her good graces. She told him she wasn’t over him lying about Jude’s paternity, but she didn’t want him to die. EJ said what he did was terrible, but he wanted to save his marriage. She said she understood about doing stupid things out of desperation. He said her empathy meant a lot to him. She said him being there for her after she found out the truth about Eric meant a lot to her. Changing the subject, she asked what he was doing about Brady hitting Sarah. He said Brady’s confession wasn’t enough evidence to put him away. EJ wondered if her determination was about justice for Sarah and making Eric pay for killing her father. She said she might have been transferring her anger onto Brady. Eric got a slap on the wrist and now Brady was going to get away with what he did. EJ said he would make Brady pay when more evidence comes to light. She said she would do whatever she could to help him. Since Eric was living a good life with her mother, Brady had to pay for what he did. EJ said he agreed with her. Sophia went to see Tate. She asked if Holly was still ignoring him to which Tate said she was. He said Holly felt she didn’t have a father because of Eric and now his father was responsible for what happened to her aunt. Sophia said Holly was ignoring her too. She said her heart broke for Holly and him. Sophia said if she had a wonderful boyfriend like him she would never push him away. While they were talking Holly showed up. Holly was upset when she noticed Sophia. Sophia told her they were just talking about her. When Sophia left to go to work, Holly apologized to Tate for ignoring him and wanted to hang out the way they used to. Tate said he wanted to hang out with her because he missed her. She asked to use his bathroom and went to Brady’s room where she found his briefcase. Tate walked in and asked what she was doing.

Eric ran into Brady at the pub. Brady said he was doing as good as to be expected and was there to check on Ava since she was attacked. Eric said he didn’t realize they were friends. Brady said they weren’t, but they got closer the night he got drunk. He said she tried to talk him out of drinking, but he didn’t listen. Sarah wouldn’t have been in an accident if he listened to her. Eric told Brady not to keep punishing himself over Sarah’s accident. Brady said he paralyzed Sarah. Eric said it was an accident and she would find a way to have a good life and he would too. Brady asked how he was supposed to have a good life after what he did to Sarah. He said he may not pay in court, but Xander was going to make sure he paid for what he did. Xander almost hit him with a bat until Fiona stopped him. Eric said Xander didn’t have the right to take the law into his own hands. He said Brady made a mistake, but Xander didn’t have the right to come after him. Eric thought Fiona kept him out of prison to Xander out of prison. Brady admitted that he and Fiona were sleeping together. Eric wondered what he was thinking. Brady said he was drinking and didn’t know she was Xander’s mother. He changed the subject to Holly. Eric said Tate told her the truth about Daniel before he had a chance to. He said Holly felt betrayed by him and Nicole. Brady said Holly needed time to process what happened and would come around. He said he needed to go to an AA meeting and left. EJ showed up and wondered if Eric was upset about Brady paralyzing Sarah which made him relive what he did to Daniel. Eric said Holly was hurt, but she would get over it. EJ said Holly wouldn’t want anything to do with Nicole since she was a liar and Eric was a drunk who killed her father. He said Holly would never trust Eric and Nicole again. Xander talked to Sarah about Brady getting away with what he did. She said she understood, but he was obsessed with getting revenge. Sarah said they needed to focus on their daughter. She said she wanted him to forgive and forget for their daughter’s sake. Xander said he would do anything to help her be there for their daughter, but he would never forgive Brady. While they were talking, he got texts from someone. He said he had business to tend to at Titan. Sarah was suspicious since the last time he tried to attack Brady with a bat. Xander promised he wouldn’t go after Brady. He met with someone at the park and gave him an untraceable gun. The man left and ran into Brady at the town square. When Brady tried to walk away, the man stopped him.

EJ told Paulina that she would look like a fool if she fired him because no one would be as good as he was. Paulina said she would replace him with Melinda. EJ said Melinda was gone and possibly had her fill of politics. Paulina reminded him that he stole a baby to which he said he allegedly stole a baby. He said they were in-laws who didn’t need the scandal, but she said if Stefan was right about what he knew, she couldn’t save him. Jada went to Connie’s apartment with another officer. When they went in the apartment, they saw blood on the floor. Jada followed the blood on the floor and saw the cardboard of Li in Connie’s room. While in Connie’s room, she noticed the ropes on the bed frame and figured out that Connie held someone captive. When Jada and the police officer searched for evidence, they found Melinda’s pocketbook. They wondered if Melinda was there and if so where was she. Jada put out an APB on Connie and Melinda and wanted to find out what Connie did with Melinda. Connie had a knife in her hand and confessed to Gabi that she stabbed Rafe. A shocked Gabi said it wasn’t true because Everett was the one who stabbed Rafe. Connie said Bobby asked her to take care of Rafe so he could be with Jada. Gabi decided to keep Connie talking while she tried to get her phone. When Gabi accused Connie of killing Bobby, Connie said she did because he was going to snitch on her. Gabi asked Connie what she did. Connie admitted to killing Li. She told Gabi that she framed her by sending her a text the night Li died. Connie said Gabi was stupid enough to fall for her trap then and to fall for her trap now. A curious Gabi asked why Connie framed her. Connie said she hated the way Gabi and Stefan treated Li and played with his emotions. She said she loved Li and had a great date with him. If it weren’t for Gabi, they would have had a wonderful life together. Thanks to Gabi’s actions, Li couldn’t fall in love again. Connie said she tried to convince Li to love again, but Gabi ruined him. She said Gabi was the one who deserved to die.

When Connie tried to attack Gabi with the knife, Gabi got out of the way. Gabi grabbed the knife and ran, but Connie went after her. Connie caught up to Gabi and dragged her into the wine cellar where Melinda was tied up. She tied Gabi up to a chair and took Melinda’s gag off. Melinda wanted to know where they were. Connie told her they were at the DiMera wine cellar. Since Melinda was still alive when she tried to kill Gabi, Connie decided to kill them together. Melinda asked why Connie didn’t kill her when they were in the apartment. Connie said she would never ruin her and Li’s love nest by killing her. She said she and Li would be together as soon as she killed Melinda and Gabi. Melinda told Connie that she didn’t want to kill again because LI didn’t want her to kill again. Connie appreciated her concern, but she could kill them both and get away with it. Melinda said the police would look down there eventually, but Connie said they wouldn’t find anything because the two of them and everything else in the house were about to be incinerated. Rafe tried to call Gabi, but she didn’t answer. Jada showed up and told him Connie wasn’t found, but might have had something to do with Li’s murder. She told him what she found in Connie’s apartment. Jada called and found out Gabi didn’t go to work. Rafe hoped Gabi took the day off to be with Stefan, but Jada said they split up because Stefan cheated on her with Ava. Paulina went to Connie’s apartment and talked to the police officer. The officer told her that Connie held Melinda hostage, but they haven’t found Melinda or Connie. Paulina saw the cardboard of Li in Connie’s bed. Ava told Stefan that she wasn’t taking the job at the Bistro because she knew he and Gabi would make up. Stefan said Gabi could rot for all he cared. Ava said he would take her back if she apologized. While they were talking, he got a call from Gabi which he ignored because he thought she was rubbing it in that she was sleeping with EJ. He tried to entice Ava to work with him at the Bistro and offered her a manager position. She decided to take the job. When they went to the Bistro, Ava said she wasn’t sure about taking the job because Gabi wouldn’t like it. Stefan said Gabi was dead to him. Ava said Gabi may be out of his life, but she went through this with Rafe and Harris so she was prepared for Stefan to go back to Gabi. Stefan said that wouldn’t happen because Gabi was with EJ that morning. EJ showed up and saw Stefan and Ava together. He thought Stefan assumed he would be in jail since he told Paulina that he stole Nicole’s baby. EJ reminded Stefan that Gabi came on to him. Stefan asked EJ about what happened that morning. EJ said there was no this morning to which Stefan said that wasn’t what Gabi told him. He told Stefan that Gabi lied to him about what happened.

Abby talked to Mark on the phone and told him Steve wouldn’t be as easy to fool as everyone else. Before she could get caught on the phone, Chad called out her name which allowed her time to get off the phone. She told him she was ordering food. When Chad said he heard her say she was freaking out, Abby came up with a lie to get out of what she said. Changing the subject, she told Chad about her conversation with Steve. Chad said he was surprised he didn’t come over sooner to see her with his own eyes. He let her know that people were going to be suspicious of her because it was too good to be true. She asked if he felt that way. He said he felt like it was the miracle he prayed for everyday since she left him and everyone loved her including him. While they were talking, he showed her their wedding album to see if it would help her memory. She said she was shocked that they were married multiple times. He said they had their share of good and bad times, but always found their way back to each other. When he read his vows to her, she was moved and said no one ever said anything like that to her before. She corrected herself and said not that she remembered before nearly kissing him. Steve told Kayla he didn’t understand why Abby lied to him saying she was on the phone with her. Kayla said it might have been a mistake, but she knew he didn’t believe it was. He said it felt like she was covering up and wondered why she would lie. Kayla wanted him to admit that he didn’t think Abby was the real Abby. Steve told her about catching Abby talking to Stefano’s portrait about her brother. Kayla reminded him about the DNA test which he said have been tampered for years. He mentioned Abby’s facial surgery and asked Kayla to run another DNA test. Kayla said she couldn’t do it because it would be a violation of the HIPPA oath. When she turned him down, he said the only solution was to find Clyde and get answers. Kayla didn’t think it would be a good idea because he might not have told him the truth. Steve said he would finish what Chad started if he didn’t tell him the truth. Kayla wondered how he would get in the prison, He said he would find a way.

Maggie asked Sarah about her session with Marlena. Sarah said it didn’t go well because even under hypnosis she still didn’t remember seeing Brady hit her. While they were talking, they talked about Xander. Fiona stopped Xander from hitting Brady with a bat. She said she had a confession to make. Xander said he wasn’t going to kill Brady. He said he was going to do to Brady what he did to Sarah. Fiona blurted out that she and Brady slept together. A shocked Xander asked why she would do something like that. She told him the underwear he found in her room was Brady’s. Xander still wanted to make Brady pay for what he did. He asked if Brady slept with his mother to pay him back for shooting Marlena. Brady and Fiona informed him that they didn’t know about him until after they slept together. When Fiona implied that she and Brady slept together multiple times, Xander wanted to know how many times they slept together. He asked if she fell off the wagon and landed on Brady. When she tried to protect Brady, Xander told her he hoped she didn’t have feelings for him. Xander said there was nothing Brady could do to make up for what he did to Sarah. He ended up firing Brady. Xander went back to the mansion. Sarah wondered why he had a bat to which he told her he wanted to make Brady pay for what he did. He said his mother stopped him by telling him she slept with him. Brady thanked Fiona for saving his life. Fiona thanked him for not telling Xander that she fell off the wagon. Before he left, he told her they shouldn’t have anything to do with each other. While Abby was looking through the wedding album, she said she couldn’t do this anymore. She got a text message asking her why she hadn’t married Chad yet and what would happen if she didn’t marry him. The message was from Clyde.

Chad met with Stephanie at the park. He apologized for missing Everett’s memorial. She let him know that she and Jada were the only ones at the service. While they were talking, she asked him how he was doing. Chad said it was hard taking the kids back to school without Abby. He said he hoped Abby got her memory back soon. On the subject of Abby, he asked Stephanie about her meeting with her. Stephanie said they had a good time and talked about the past, but something weird happened. She said Abby had a health plan with her mother, but her mother said they didn’t have anything planned. Chad said Abby might have been confused, but Stephanie couldn’t shake the feeling that she was lying. He said Abby might have been confused and thought it was another doctor, but Stephanie wondered who the other doctor could have been. She told him that she and Abby agreed to having dinner one day. He thought it would be good for Abby to be around family because it might help with her memory. Abby talked to Stefano’s portrait and apologized for lying to his son since family meant everything to him. She said it meant everything to her and her brother so she had to do what she had to do. Steve showed up to see her. He said he overheard her saying how family meant everything to her and her brother. Abby said people told her that she was close to her brother. Steve asked if she was talking about J.J. Abby wondered who else she could be talking about. Steve told her about Abe’s memory loss and how he got it back and assured her she would get her memory back too. He told her Kayla was his wife and reminded her that she talked to his daughter. Abby said they had a talk about growing up together. Steve confronted her about the health plan she said she had with Kayla. Abby said Kayla has been a big help. Steve said Kayla told him they haven’t spoken to each other. Abby said she might have mixed the doctors up since she spoke to so many doctors. She said it was hard to keep track of people when she didn’t remember who she was. Steve said he understood and told her he thought he was Stefano before. Abby said she knew people doubted who she was but the test proved she was Abby. Steve said he could imagine how hard it has been for her having her mother not believe her. He said Jack and Jennifer thought they lost their daughter and grieved her. When Steve left, Abby thought he was going to be a problem.

Gabi told Connie that she was taking everything from Stefan and was going to keep seeing EJ. Connie took a knife out of her bag and said he was going to take care of her. Before Connie could finish what she was saying, Gabi got a call. She told Connie to find Melinda because she needed the notes she took for her upcoming line. Connie said Melinda took a leave of absence and left town. At the hospital, Paulina ordered Rafe to wake up. He woke up. Paulina went to get Kayla. Melinda tried to get the ropes off of her as Jada showed up to talk to Connie. Jada heard the noise Melinda was making and let herself in the apartment. Melinda continued to make noise which caused Jada to knock on the bedroom door. When Jada was about to go in the room, Paulina called her to tell her about Rafe. Jada said she would be right there. Kayla took out Rafe’s breathing tube and said she was happy he was awake. Rafe asked what happened .Jada showed up and was happy to see him. When Connie was going to try and kill Gabi, Gabi got a call telling her Rafe was awake. When Gabi showed up at the hospital, she and Jada told Rafe what happened to him. Jada asked if he knew who stabbed him, but he didn’t remember. Gabi and Jada told him that Bobby stabbed him because he wanted Jada back. Connie went to her apartment to check on Melinda. She told Melinda that Rafe was awake. Melinda said she should be worried that he was awake. Connie said he never saw her so there was nothing to worry about. Melinda asked why she was so worried. Connie said her plan wasn’t going well since Gabi slept with EJ. She said there was only one way to make Gabi pay for what she did.

Holly told Eric that it made sense for him to be back in town to support Brady after what he did. While Sarah was sleeping, Fiona attempted to put a pillow over her head. Fiona thought twice about what she was doing, but couldn’t let Sarah remember that she was the one who hit her. Brady yelled at Justin for convincing EJ to drop the charges against him. Ava showed up and joked about him being a fugitive. He let her know he wasn’t in the mood for her jokes. She said she tried to make him feel better. He said getting away with hitting someone made him feel worse. She said she took partial responsibility for what happened since she drank with him when he fell off the wagon. He let her know there was nothing she could have done to stop the destruction. She said she remembered going back to the pub to make sure he wasn’t driving home but he was with a woman with an accent. At the Kiriakis mansion, Justin ran into Xander and let him know that EJ dropped the charges against Brady.

Holly told Eric that she knew he killed her father. Eric said he was going to tell her tonight. She said he had 17 years to tell her. Instead of telling her the truth, Nicole lied to her and everyone went along with the lie. Eric said they were trying to protect her. Holly said her mother was a manipulator. She said she never thought to look into the investigation because she believed the monster who killed her father was dead, but he was living with her all along. Tate told John that he and Holly fought over him standing by Brady. He said he knew what his father did was bad, but he couldn’t turn his back on him. John said he felt the same way. Since Brady didn’t remember hitting Sara, there could be more to the story. John said there was nothing he or Brady could do that would make him stop loving them. Fiona pressed the pillow to Sarah’s face until she heard the doorknob. Xander came in the room with soup. When Sarah woke up, he told her EJ dropped the charges against Brady. Fiona said it was ridiculous since Brady confessed. Xander agreed with her and said Brady didn’t remember what happened which was why it was important for Sarah to remember what happened. Sarah said she couldn’t see the driver’s face. Xander told her to say it was Brady since he confessed to it. Sarah refused to lie and didn’t like that he wanted her to do it. When she didn’t wan to lie, he suggested she get hypnotized. Holly told Eric that she stole her father’s life to which Eric told her wasn’t planned. He said they were a family and Nicole didn’t want to ruin it. Eric also didn’t want her to know what he did because he loved her like a daughter and thought it would ruin their relationship. She said it did because she hated him. When he tried to reach out for her, she told him she would never forgive him. Brady asked Ava if she told anyone about finding him with a woman. She said she didn’t because she was glad that they were walking to the Salem Inn and not driving. He asked her not to say anything about the woman. She asked if the woman was married. He said she was Xander’s mother. She promised not to say anything. Fiona didn’t like the idea of Sarah getting hypnotized, but Xander and Sarah told her Marlena knew what she was doing. Sarah didn’t think Marlena would help knowing it could put Brady behind bars, but Xander thought Marlena would want to do the right thing. Fiona wasn’t sure about that since he shot her. Xander asked how she knew about that. Fiona lied and said she looked him up online. He said he was a better man now and wanted Brady to pay for what he did. Sarah thought they should leave it alone, but Xander couldn’t do that. Eric apologized to Holly and said he didn’t expect her forgiveness. He said Daniel was his friend and he loved him. Holly said she never got a chance to love her father because of him. After Holly stormed off, Eric called Nicole and said he needed to tell her something.

Steve and Kayla were at Stephanie’s place because there was a problem with her plumbing. While they were talking, they got on the subject of Jack, Jennifer, and Abby. Kayla said she spoke to Jennifer and she’s devastated over not believing that Abby is her daughter. She thought Jennifer was afraid of losing her daughter again so she won’t believe it. Steve said DNA test results have been altered before. Kayla said she did the test herself and the only person involved was Mark and she trusted him. Steve wondered if Abby will get her memory back, Kayla said there was a possibility, but she recommended sessions with Marlena. Steve reminded her that he had amnesia and was afraid to remember who he was. He said he was a fool then. Chad ran into Leo at the Town Square. Leo said he thought Chad would be happy now that Abby is back. Chad said Abby didn’t remember anything, but Stephanie was going to see her to see if she remembered anything. He said he wanted to get revenge on Clyde and everyone who kept Abby from him. Leo asked if there were any leads, but Chad said there weren’t. Changing the subject, Leo brought up Everett’s service and how Stephanie was planning it. Chad said she didn’t tell him anything about it. Leo said she told him when he brought her the press release for Body and Soul. When Chad said that went through him, Leo told him about being the new head writer for Body and Soul. Chad congratulated him and asked if he was going to continue being Lady Whistleblower. Leo said he thought he could do both, but he wouldn’t be able to do it. Chad said he was sorry to see him go. Leo let him know that a story on the show may sound like his life so he didn’t want him to be offended. Chad said he should have asked him first, but Leo said amnesia stories were done all the time. When Chad said a DNA test was done, Leo said tests can be faked on soap operas. Chad said his life wasn’t a soap opera.

Abby called Mark and told that since she convinced Chad to move back home with the kids, she could breathe again. She said they had to figure out the next step in their plan. While she was on the phone, Stephanie showed up. Abby told Mark she would talk to him later. After Abby introduced herself to Stephanie, Stephanie told her who she was and how she was related to her. Stephanie brought up how Abby was talking about the next step in her plan. Abby lied about talking to her doctor. When Stephanie realized she was talking about Kayla, she told Abby she was her mother. Abby brought up how Stephanie lived with her husband after she died. Stephanie apologized and said Chad had trouble moving on after her death. Abby said she didn’t have to explain since she was supposed to be dead. Stephanie said Chad never got over her and that was why they didn’t work. She said Chad asked her to come see her to see if it would spark a memory. They talked about the past. Gabi told EJ that she didn’t know why he was nervous when he wanted to get revenge on Stefan. EJ told her she didn’t have to decide right away and had time to think about it before the truth came out. Gabi wondered why he was being nice. He said he had his own heart broken and would do anything to take the pain away. Stefan showed up and found them together. When Gabi tried to explain what was going on, Stefan said he knew what was going on. Stefan said EJ was taking advantage of Gabi and wanted to use her to get revenge on him. EJ said it was more like the other way around. Stefan said Abby convinced him to talk to Gabi and not give up. He asked if they could go somewhere and talk. Gabi agreed to talk to him. When EJ tried to put Gabi’s clothes under a rug, Stefan busted him. Stefan asked if the clothes were Gabi’s. He asked if she slept with EJ and she said she did. Stefan yelled at EJ and hit him. When EJ was about to hit him back, Gabi got in between them. Stefan couldn’t believe she was defending EJ. She said she seduced EJ. When Stefan asked why, she said she hated him and wanted to pay him back for sleeping with Ava. Stefan was upset that she would do this just to hurt him and their relationship. He said she ruined things and hoped she was happy. Stefan said he made a drunken mistake, but she did her act on purpose. Gabi admitted that she did it on purpose. He said he was killing himself trying to make it up to her. Her actions couldn’t be taken back. Gabi asked if that meant he was giving up on them. He said he was. She said when she woke up she might have had second thoughts about her plan and considered lying to him the way he did about Ava, but that would have mad her just as guilty as he was. When EJ came back, she told Stefan that his brother was better in bed than he was. Stefan said they deserved each other and walked out. Abby met with Mark at the park. She told him it was tired of being around the fake family. He told her her real family was there for her. She called him bro and he called him sis.

Abe and Paulina talked about him making Chanel a star. While they were talking about the show, he told her that Johnny and Chanel didn’t know that Alex was auditioning for a role. Paulina told him to let them know before it was too late. Johnny and Chanel talked about the show. Chanel wondered who would be playing her love interest. Johnny didn’t know if he would like the idea of someone else kissing her. When they decided to practice the love scenes, they missed Abe’s call. Alex went to Stephanie’s place and she told him that she got hired for Body and Soul. He told her he was auditioning for the show and thought it would be fun. When he said he was nervous, she offered to run lines with him. While they were rehearsing, things were intense with them, especially when it came to the kissing scene. She told him he did a good job and gave him tips to make his scene better.

Kate asked Roman if she could film the show in the pub. She also wanted to film scenes at the hospital. Hattie went to the Body and Soul office and pretended to be Marlena. Leo fell for it but didn’t want her to trick him again. Bonnie showed up and complained about Hattie’s character having more lines than her character. Hattie informed Bonnie that her character was the star of the show. Bonnie went to the pub to talked to Roman about Leo not caring about her issues with the show. She wanted to talk to Kate about Leo and Hattie. Hattie showed up and wondered if she was talking to Roman about her. She wanted Roman to decide which one was better suited for the soap opera’s magazine cover. Johnny and Chanel went to the Body and Soul office talking about how soap stars got their start. Chanel wanted to get in character and think about her mystery man. Johnny said she was torturing him. She let him know that he was her only leading man and kissed him. While they were kissing, Alex showed up for his audition. He said he would be her leading man if he got the part. Johnny and Chanel weren’t happy about that.

Brady ran into Tate and Holly at the hospital. They were there because Tate got in an accident at the beach on Smith Island. Brady was shocked to see Tate on crutches and with Holly. Tate confessed about staying at the cabin instead of going to lacrosse camp. Maggie told Sarah it was okay to be angry about the accident. Sarah said Xander was angry for the both of them and asked her how she dealt with not being able to walk. Maggie told her she learned to live a new normal and suggested that Sarah not give up. Jada told Xander that they had a suspect, but she couldn’t tell him the name. Xander demanded to know who it was. Jada said she understood that he was upset, but she was going to find the person who hit Sarah. Xander apologized for his reaction. Jada said she had to talk to the DA, but he would know something soon. At the DiMera mansion, Kristen told Stefano’s painting that Brady’s car was flat as a pancake. She said she did what she had to to protect her family. EJ walked in and wondered what she did. She said she protected the family legacy by firing Ava because of Gabi. EJ didn’t believe her and suggested that she not talk about her plans to Stefano’s painting. Marlena told John that Brady’s car was stolen, but Jada was trying to piece together a timeline. John thought Jada was connecting it to Sarah’s accident. Marlena said Brady would never hit Sarah and run away unless he was drinking. Brady asked Holly to leave him and Tate alone so they could talk. Tate asked if Brady ever lied because he was scared of how someone would react. Brady flashed back to Kristen telling him she got rid of his car. When Xander showed up, Tate apologized for what happened to Sarah. Xander said the police might have a suspect.

Sarah opened up to Maggie about not being able to keep up with Victoria when Holly came in. Holly said she and Tate was staying at the Horton Cabin. She said she used Maggie’s key to let him in the cabin. Maggie said that was why she couldn’t find the key that night. Holly wondered what night she was talking about. Maggie said Sarah was coming home to help find the key so she and Xander could go on their honeymoon, but she got hit by a car. Holly realized it was the accident was her fault. Sarah let her know that it wasn’t her fault. Holly ran out of the room. EJ assumed Kristen was plotting for Brady. Jada showed up at the mansion so she could talk to EJ about Sarah’s accident. Kristen left the room but eavesdropped on their conversation. Jada told EJ that she connected a car with the accident, but the owner said the car was stolen. Unfortunately without the car, they didn’t have proof. She asked if he wanted to indict anyway. EJ wanted to know who the suspect was. Jada told her it was Brady. EJ told her to arrest him. He let Jada know that his beef with Brady wasn’t a factor and believed he could get a conviction. When Jada went to the door, Kristen asked if she had any leads. Jada said she knew she was eavesdropping and asked if she knew anything. Kristen said she didn’t know anything and walked away. While Tate was pleading his case to Brady, Kristen sent him a text to run because the police were about to arrest him. Brady told Tate he had something to do and left. Holly ran into Tate who told her how weird his father was acting. She told him that they were responsible for Sarah’s accident. When Kristen went back to see EJ, he told her Brady was being arrested for Sarah’s accident. He said he had a feeling she knew that already. At the police station, she called for a search warrant for Brady. Brady showed up and said she didn’t need it.

Jada went to the townhouse to see Brady’s car. Brady wondered why she wanted to see it. She said it matched the description of the car that hit Sarah and they had a partial plate. When she asked to see the car, he told her it was stolen. Kristen saw Chad looking at pictures of Abby and asked where was the woman who claimed to be Abby. Chad said she was Abby and she remembered Clyde stabbing her. Kristen wondered if it was a real memory or if she was a fraud. Chad said the DNA test proved she was a match for Abby. Kristen apologized and said she was trying to protect him. She left the room. Abby met Dr. Green in the park. She told him the mansion was like a mausoleum with a lot of DiMera eyes on her. Since Chad looked at her like a puppy dog, she threw him a bone and said she remembered the night Abby was murdered. Mark said she did the right thing. Abby said she didn’t have a choice, but now she had to keep remembering things if they wanted people to believe that she’s Abby. She thanked him for changing the DNA results and said they made a great team.

Xander told Fiona that the police had a partial license plate and would hopefully find the person who hit Sarah. When Xander talked about Sarah never walking again, Fiona asked if it would change the way he felt about Sarah. Xander said he loved her more than he thought he could love anyone and nothing was going to change that. He was afraid he wasn’t going to be the man she needed to get her through this. Fiona assured him he was strong enough to handle it and was there to help after everything she has done. Xander wondered what she meant by that. She covered by saying she wasn’t there for him when he needed her. Brady lied and told Jada that his car was stolen on the morning of the 14th, the day Sarah was hit. He said he remembered that because it kept him from going to a meeting he had at Basic Black. Brady said he didn’t report it because he was slammed at work covering for Xander. Jada said the person who stole the car could have been the one who hit Sarah. She suggested he file a report at the station. Mark told Abby they needed to talk about the next part of their plan. Before they could talk, Chad showed up. Abby lied and said she was asking him for directions. When Mark left, Chad wanted Abby to talk about the night she was stabbed because it could spark memories. Marlena found Marlena taking pictures of the empty parking space. Jada said Brady told her the car was stolen. She asked Marlena when was the last time she saw the car. Marlena said she saw the car the night of the 14th, but she didn’t see Brady. Kristen showed up to see Brady at the townhouse. She told him she took his car after she saw the damage to his front bumper. Since he looked bad the night she saw him, she figured he was the one who hit Sarah. She said she got rid of the car because it would kill Rachel to see him in prison. Brady said the police had a partial plate. Kristen said without the car, Jada didn’t have anything. She told him to remain calm and do what he would normally do. Brady wondered what you would normally do when you hit a family member. She told him to visit Sarah and offer compassion. Brady said he was responsible for Sarah’s condition. Kristen said Theresa wasn’t worth throwing his life away and suggested he get sober and get his life together. She said she would help him for Rachel. When Chad asked Abby about the robe she was wearing when she was killed, she wanted to know if he didn’t believe her. Chad said a lot of people knew the story. Abby reminded him that he was the one who came to her not the other way around. She said she was doing the best she could and if it wasn’t enough, she could go back where she was. Chad apologized and said the stress was getting to him. He said he didn’t care what anyone thought because he was happy that she was back.

At the town square, Johnny ran into Hattie and mistook her for Marlena when she was reading her script. When Hattie told him she didn’t have any kids, Johnny realized she must be Hattie. He told her he was the director of the show. Hattie said she wanted to talk to him about the script because it didn’t sound like her character. Johnny suggested she talk to the writer which was what Hattie was going to do. Leo read Kimberly’s book about D.I.D. and thought Marlena was going through it. He decided to call Marlena so he could have an intervention. Abe and Kate talked about Leo’s script. She thought it was something the show needed. They talked about hiring hot young actors for the show. Hattie went to Leo’s place. She said she needed help rewriting her script. Instead of helping her with the script, he said she should be concerned about her D.I.D. They talked about different cases of the illness. While they were talking, he called her Dr. Evans. Hattie said she wasn’t Dr. Evans. Johnny talked to Chanel at the town square. He told her about his run in with Hattie. When he talked about the show, she said she wished she had an unpredictable job that ran itself. She said she wish pursued her dream even though she doesn’t know what it is. Alex and Stephanie ran into each other at the Bistro. She told him she had a new client. While Alex was talking, he spilled water on Stephanie’s computer. She assured him it was okay. When she left, Justin and Bonnie went over to Alex. Justin said he had something to make him feel better. Alex looked through the annulment papers and was glad his marriage to Theresa was over. Bonnie suggested he get back together with Stephanie, but Alex said they were just friends who weren’t looking for new relationships.

Stephanie went to the Body and Soul office. She told Abe she had a presentation for him but it was destroyed. Abe told her the job was hers if she wanted it. She accepted the job. Johnny looked through Leo’s story ideas and was intrigued by the young couple. Abe told Johnny that he and Kate haven’t found the right actors for the role. Johnny suggested Chanel because she did a great job when she auditioned for his movie. He said she was looking for a creative outlet. All they needed was a leading man with chemistry with her. Alex and Chanel ran into each other at the square. He told her about his annulment papers. Alex said it wasn’t all Theresa’s fault because he ignored the red flags. Chanel said he was driven by his hormones which lead to questionable behavior like him sleeping with her girlfriend. They talked about their threesome and how he slept with Allie when she and Allie had problems. While they were arguing, Abe and Johnny showed up. Johnny said the tension between them was intense. Abe agreed with him. Leo tried to convince Hattie that she was one of Marlena’s alters. When he tried to take her to Bayview, Kate showed up. She told Leo that Hattie was Marlena’s double. Leo apologized to Hattie for trying to get her committed. Kate hired Leo for the job as head writer at Body and Soul. When Kate left, Hattie said she was happy for him because he could change her script.

Steve came in Kayla’s office when she told someone to rush on Sarah’s results. Kayla told him Sarah didn’t have feeling in her legs. After they talked about Sarah, Kayla told him about Abby. She said Abby’s memory loss could be a psychological issue which made it hard to know when her memory would return. At the DiMera mansion, Jennifer couldn’t wait to see Abby. Chad let Jennifer know that Abby didn’t look like herself or remember who they were. Jennifer said she would take her daughter any way she could. Chad left to find out what was taking Abby so long. Abby told someone on the phone that the plan was going according to plan. She told the person she had to go because she was nervous. When Chad knocked on the door, Abby got off the phone. She told him she was on the phone with a nurse from Poplar Bluff. Chad said her parents were downstairs waiting to see her. He confronted her about being nervous and assured her she had no reason to be nervous. She thanked him for being patient with her. Chad let her know he would wait for as long as she needed him to. After Melinda fired Connie, she demanded to go in her apartment to get the laptop and phone. Connie asked if she could have a minute and closed the door. She told the cardboard Li that she didn’t know how to get revenge on Gabi and Stefan if she wasn’t working for Gabi. When Melinda knocked on the door, Connie thought of an idea. When Connie let Melinda in the apartment, she admitted that she lied on her resume because she was desperate for a job. She wanted to tell her side of the story.

Gabi told Stefan and Ava that she knew they slept together. She said Connie overheard Ava talking to Kristen about it. Stefan and Ava said Connie was mistaken. Gabi said it was possible that Connie was mistaken, but Kristen had to be too. She threw her drink in Stefan’s face and told Ava she was out of a job. Gabi said she made Kristen choose between the two and she chose her. Ava walked away. Gabi yelled at Stefan. Abby went down to see Jennifer and Jack. When Jennifer tried to touch Abby, she drew her hand back and said she wasn’t her daughter. Jack and Chad reminded her that the DNA test results proved she was. Jennifer apologized for her behavior and thought she was ready for this. She said she thought she would feel a connection but she didn’t. Jennifer ran out of the room. Abby went upstairs. Chad told Jack they had to do damage control before they drove Abby away for good. When Jennifer came back, she apologized for running away the way she did. Jack told her they should go back to Boston until Abby’s memory came back. Jennifer hesitated at first, but agreed Abby needed room to find herself. Jack said when Abby was ready, she would come to them. Connie told Melinda she had to work for Gabi. Melinda thought she was a fan of hers until Connie said she hated her. Connie told her about her vendetta against Stefan and Gabi breaking Li’s heart kept her from being with him. While Melinda was drinking her tea, she started gasping. Connie told her she put a fast-acting drug in her tea. Melinda tried to find her phone. Stefan told Gabi that he was drunk and missing her. Gabi said she was beat up in prison and put in solitary while he was having sex with Ava. He said it was only one time. Stefan said he hated himself more than she hated him. If she was willing to let him, he would spend the rest of his life making it up to her. Gabi said she didn’t care how bad he felt because it didn’t change what he did. He begged her to talk to him, but she refused to do it. She said their marriage was over.
