Heather decides to sue the company that made the artificial hip that gave her metabolism and she has Elizabeth send Scott a text message telling him she is in on the lawsuit against the medical company that responsible for the faulty hip replacement.

Willow gets stuck in the Metro Court elevator with Drew and he tells her the New Tomorrow foundation is very happy with the work she is doing with their public service announcements. Drew tells Willow that donations for the foundation have gone up and the foundation wants them both to fly to California for a fundraiser.

Willow tells Drew she can’t go to California with him because Michael wants to take a family trip before Wiley starts school. Drew tells Willow she can go to California alone if she feels uncomfortable going with him.

Kristina asks Sonny to kill Ava but Alexis asks Sonny not to kill Ava because, if he does, Kristina will have to live with that the rest of her life. Sonny tells Alexis that Ava is his problem and he will handle it but he won’t kill her.

Trina listens to Heather’s apology but doesn’t forgive her. Trina tells Heather that she does believe she should get a new trial and she hopes that she will get justice.

Scotty tells Heather that she should sue the company that Ann made the faulty chip replacement that caused her cobalt poisoning.

Carly and Sonny think that Ava switched his lithium pills for placebos. Carly asks Anna to add the pill switching to the list of crimes she committed against Kristina. Anna tells Carly that she must have proof to charge Ava with another crime.

Sonny asks Jason to go to the jail and talk to Ava and see what she has to say about switching his pills. Ava tells John that what happened with Kristina was a terrible accident because she would never hurt a pregnant woman. Ava tells John she is afraid Sonny will blame her for switching his pills. Ava tells John she didn’t switch the pills, but she found out about the switch and didn’t tell Sonny about the pills being switched. Ava asks John to go find the hospital pharmacist and hide him so that Sonny can’t find him.

John goes to the hospital pharmacy and finds the pharmacist responsible for tampering with Sonny’s pills. Jason goes to jail and Ava tells him that she didn’t switch Sonny’s pills. Ava tells Jason she knows the identity of the person who switched Sonny’s pills.

Kristina asks Sonny to make Ava pay for the death of her baby.

Sonny calls Jason and asks him to bring him home from the hospital and later Kevin stops by to see if Sonny is feeling better. Sonny tells Kevin that his head feels clearer and Kevin tells Sonny that means the medicine is working. Kevin tells Sonny he will schedule two sessions a week with him until his medicine is adjusted again.

Jason stops by Sonny ‘s place to see if he is feeling better and Sonny tells Jason that he almost jumped off the roof of the hospital because Kristina losing the baby took him to a very dark place. Sonny tells Jason that a hallucination of Morgan persuaded him that he needed to live because his children and grandchildren needed him and he got down from the roof and went to ask Kevin to help him.

Jason wonders if Sonny told Kevin about his hallucination of Morgan. Sonny tells Jason he never talks to Kevin about things like that because he doesn’t trust him.

Donna is happy to see Josslyn and she tells her and Carly she took some of her daddy’s vitamins she found in Avery’s backpack. Donna shows Carly and Josslyn the bottle of pills and they take Donna to the hospital.

Carly tells Elizabeth what happened to Donna and Elizabeth takes Donna into a treatment room where the doctor pumped Donna’s stomach. Elizabeth returns a short while later and tells Sonny that Donna will be okay because there was no lithium inside the capsules Donna took because the capsules were empty.

Curtis, Jordan, and Stella help TJ pack up the nursery so the things can be donated to a shelter.

Molly goes to the jail to read the autopsy report on the death of her daughter to Ava. The autopsy report states that the baby girl weighed 5 lbs. 2 oz. and died due to blunt force trauma to the head and internal injuries. Molly tells Ava to confess to what she did and save them the pain of a trial. Ava tells Molly she would never deliberately hurt a child. Ava tells Molly that the person responsible for the death of her baby girl is Kristina because she went to her suite and attacked her.

Kevin and Laura had a quick birthday celebration for him because Laura was stuck at a long city council meeting.

Laura gives Kevin tickets to a Broadway show and tells him that they will spend the weekend after the show in New York. Kevin gets called in to the hospital after eating a few bites of his birthday cake.

Molly and TJ grieve the loss of their baby girl. TJ tells Molly they should give their daughter a name before they bury her.

Dante asks Jason to help find Sonny because he is worried about him. Sonny is standing on the roof of the hospital considering jumping off because he thinks his family would be better off without him. Sonny is only taking one-fourth the dosage of his bipolar pills, so he hallucinates he is talking to Morgan. Sonny and Morgan have a long talk and Morgan persuades Sonny that his family still needs him.

Sonny gets off the roof and heads to Kevin’s office. Sonny tells Kevin that something is wrong with him and needs help.

Kristina is taken into emergency surgery to stop her internal bleeding. The doctor tells Alexis they were able to stop the bleeding for now and avoid having to perform a hysterectomy.

Jason calls Brick and asks him to search for Sonny. Brick sends Jason the surveillance pictures that he took of what happened between Ava and Kristina in Ava’s hotel room. Jason gives the pictures to Anna. Anna gives Ava one more chance to tell the truth and when she continues to lie she shows Ava the pictures and arrests her for assault and manslaughter.

Lois refuses to leave Sonny’s office until Sonny assures her that the money he is going to use to fund the private record label isn’t mob money.

TJ asks Alexis to persuade Kristina to give him and Molly the baby just like she agreed to do.

Josslyn and Gio get a backboard under Kristina and carefully take her out of the pool. Josslyn gives Kristina CPR while they wait for the paramedics. Gio calls Sonny and tells him what happened to Kristina and that she is on the way to the hospital.

Trina tells Dante and Chase that Kristina fell out of Ava’s room and Ava was looking through the open curtains of her room to see where Kristina landed. Dante interrogates Ava inside Ava’s room. Ava lies and tells Dante that Kristina was so angry that she would have to testify against Sonny at Avery’s custody hearing that she lunged at her and when she stepped out of the way she tripped over Ava’s shoes that were on the floor and fell. Dante knows Ava’s lying because Kristina would never lunge at Ava because she isn’t a violent person and she would never put the baby at risk. Dante arrests Ava and takes her to the police station. Kristina arrives at the hospital. After Kristina is examined, the doctor tells Sonny, Alexis, and TJ that Kristina has suffered internal injuries and is in shock. The baby is in distress and the placenta is separating from the uterus, so they have to take Kristina into surgery to do an emergency
c- section.

Carly tells her family that the charges were dismissed against her because the recording they had as evidence against her disappeared.

Everyone has an extra reason to be happy as they celebrate Wiley’s birthday at the Metro Court pool.

Carly thinks Spinelli was the one who made the audio file with the evidence against her disappear but he tells her that the file couldn’t be deleted or corrupted although he tried to do both those things to help her.

Jason once again explains to Sonny why he was forced to become an FBI informant. Jason also tells Sonny that John offered to let Carly go if he gave him evidence to put him in prison and he refused again.

Dante advises Sonny not to go after John because he is falling into his trap and John will put him in prison. Sonny tells Dante he knows how to handle John.

Brick calls Sonny and tells him John is in Ava’s hotel room. Sonny tells Brick to take pictures of Ava and John together.

Molly and Kristina have a long talk and finally work out their differences about what Kristina said in the Perez Hilton interview. Kristina is served a subpoena to testify on Ava’s behalf at Avery’s custody hearing. Molly helps Kristina prepare her testimony for the hearing.

John tells Ava Sonny almost punched him outside the courtroom before Carly’s hearing. Ava decides to call Carly and Michael to testify on her behalf at the custody hearing.

John tells Ava he would love to testify on her behalf at the hearing.

Anna tells Jason she thinks Brennan made the evidence against Carly disappear but she wonders why Brennan would take such a big risk for Carly.

Wiley has his birthday party at the Metro Court pool and Willow takes the opportunity to thank Nina for helping get Michael a meeting with Congressman McConkey.

Alexis advises Molly to back off Kristina and show Kristina that she and TJ trust her.

Anna is surprised to see Jack Brennan is free and at WSB headquarters. Anna figures out the WSB needed to distance itself from Pikeman, so they let the FBI shut down Pikeman. Valentin and Charlotte are in a country without extradition.

Brennan tells Anna to be patient, John Cates may just go away.

Diane asks the court to dismiss Carl’s case and is shocked when the U.S attorney agrees to dismiss the case. The U.S attorney explains to the judge that the recording that was the evidence against Carly is gone. The judge dismisses the case against Carly and everyone wonders how the recording went missing.

John tells Sonny he will put him in prison and he will make sure Carly and Jason are in prison with him. Sonny is hurt that Carly and Jason didn’t trust him enough to tell him about the problem sooner but that is okay because he can take care of John himself

Kristina refuses to sign the papers to terminate her parental rights over the baby. Kristina tells Molly she is afraid she and TJ will break up and she has to protect the baby. Molly doesn’t believe that and insists that Kristina admit she wants to keep the baby. Kristina tells Molly that, right now, she thinks that she and Blaze would provide the baby with a more stable home. Molly is angry and she leaves because she has to go to work.

Natalia arrives and thanks Kristina for being so generous with her during the interview. Natalia tells Kristina she respects her principles and will try harder to live by the “live and let live” attitude.

Michael asks Nina to get him a meeting with Senator McConkey so he can ask him to open an investigation into John Cates in hopes of keeping Carly from going to prison. Michael tells Nina if this meeting with the Senator helps Carly go free, then, he will tell Willow that she is the person that helped Carly go free. Nina calls Senator McConkey so Michael can talk to him.

Carly tells Sonny that the FBI has a recording of her telling the five families that she is the head of Sonny’s organization when everyone thought he was dead. Carly tells Sonny that John was using that recording to force Jason to be an FBI informant.

Sonny figures out that John was only using Pikeman as an excuse to get information to put him in prison. Sonny leaves Carly to find John and kill him. Carly asks Dante to find Sonny and stop him from killing John.

Anna tells Dante that Brennan has disappeared and they need to find him because he has information about John that could help Carly go free.

Jason thinks Diane should find information on John that could tarnish his reputation when he testifies at Carly’s trial.

John tells Jason he will let Carly go if he gives him information that will put Sonny in prison.

Blaze and Kristina go on the Perez Hilton show and talk about the scandal involving Natalia’s recording that was made without her consent. Blaze and Kristina tell Perez that Natalia is the victim because she was recorded without her consent. Blaze is hopeful that she can repair her relationship with her mother.

Nina helps Willow with another public service announcement to promote bone marrow donation.

Ava asks Nina and Willow to testify on her behalf at the custody hearing but they both say no because they don’t want to get involved in the situation.

Anna asks John to let Jason go because Jason fulfilled his part of their agreement. John refuses to do it so Anna tells him she won’t rest until she ruins his career. Anna won’t allow John to twist the law in order to get revenge on Sonny.

Jason manages to persuade Carly that he needs to go do his next assignment for the FBI because she can’t turn herself in because her daughter Donna needs her. Carly goes to the Metro Court and tells the desk clerk that John Cates is checking out so he should send two bellhops upstairs to his room to pack his things and bring his suitcases downstairs.

Jason calls Danny to tell him he has to go away to his next assignment. Jason tells Danny he is a good son whom he is proud of and loves very much. Jason gets on the bus to Quantico headed for his next assignment.

Carly tells Sonny that John is after him and he won’t stop until he is in prison. Sonny tells Carly that John has no evidence to put him in prison. Sonny is more concerned about his custody battle with Ava. Sonny asks Carly to smooth things over with Michael and persuade him to talk to him again so he can apologize for their earlier argument. Carly tells Sonny to smooth things over with Micheal on his own because she won’t clean up his mess for him.

Michael talks to Kristina about her testifying for Sonny at Avery’s custody hearing. Kristina doesn’t think she would be a good witness for Sonny because she saw him beat up Dex at Brook Lynn and Chase’s wedding.

Jason tells Anna about his new assignment and he asks Anna to use her contacts at the FBI to get him out of the assignment.

John tries once again to persuade Ava to give him evidence against Sonny, but she is scared that Sonny will kill her. John tells Ava he will find another way to get Sonny. Ava is touched by John’s gesture to protect her that she gives him a kiss.

John gets called to his boss’s office because Anna called John’s boss and told him he needs to stop John because he is out of control. John later went to Anna’s office because he is upset that she called his boss. Anna tells John to stick to his agreement with Jason or she will bury him.

Jason tells Carly about his new assignment and she decides to turn herself in to the FBI.

Sonny and Tracy share memories of Luke on his birthday.

James sneaks out of his house and goes to the Quartermaine stables to talk to Cody. James tells Cody that his Grandpa Mac told him he can’t take riding lessons with him anymore. Cody calls Maxie and Spinelli to come get James. Maxie explains to James that she is the person who decides where he takes riding lessons not Grandpa Mac. Maxie and Spinelli tell James that Grandpa Mac is going through something private and they need to give him time to work things out. Maxie tells James he may have to go someplace else for riding lessons for a little while, but she will work it out for him. Cody tells Sasha he is heartbroken that James is hurting because of his situation with Mac.

Jason tells Carly that John is determined to put Sonny in prison and he has to find a way to get through to Sonny so they can work together to keep him out of prison.

Josslyn gives Trina the turtledove figurine Spencer gave her. Trina grieves Spencer once again.

Gio and Tracy talk in the Quartermaine’s kitchen. Gio tells Tracy his favorite places in New York.

Dante and Laura go to visit Lulu and they have a long talk and Laura advises to let Rocco decide when he wants to visit his mother.
