Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Johnny meets Bonnie at the Kiriakis Mansion. Bonnie excitedly asks if he read her book. Johnny confirms that he did and he passed it on to the heads of DiMera publishing. Bonnie asks what they thought. Johnny explains that DiMera has typically published non-fiction books in the past so this would be a change but they do recognize the popularity of romance novels. Bonnie wants to know about her romance novel. Johnny reveals that they read it, think it’s very exciting, and would like to make her an offer. Bonnie is thrilled and hugs Johnny.

At the hospital, Steve tells Kayla that they are good to go for the sting operation as Alex is on his way to the courthouse with an undercover officer who looks like Stephanie to pretend to get married. Steve notes that there’s still a chance that Jeremy is not the stalker, but whoever it is will definitely show up and that’s when they grab him. Kayla thinks they need to assume it is Jeremy, but questions if it’s a good idea to try and trap him as she worries if the whole thing goes sideways. Steve assures her that won’t happen because he will be there with Jada and a dozen other cops, waiting to take that psycho down. Steve reminds Kayla that Stephanie will be in Kayla’s office with a cop guarding the door. Kayla can’t wait until the day is over with Jeremy behind bars and the rest of them all home safe. Steve tells her to count on it.

Alex brings Stephanie tea at home to try to calm her down. Stephanie hates that Alex is putting himself out there as bait. Alex assures that he will be fine and the courthouse will be crawling with undercover cops. Stephanie wants to be there with him too. The stalker listens in from the bugged picture frame as Alex says he will feel a lot better knowing that Stephanie is safe in Kayla’s office and adds that when that freak makes his move, he will be in for a big surprise. Stephanie knows all signs point to Jeremy being the stalker, but for his family’s sake, she hopes he’s not. Alex says his money is on Jeremy and they are going to catch him in the act and lock him up because they have everything they need. Alex declares that if all goes according to plan, this will all finally be over.

Bonnie excitedly tells Johnny how they could give a pair of fuzzy handcuffs to everyone who buys her book and they can recreate scenes from it. Bonnie suggests Johnny take another pair to Chanel and starts talking about how her and Justin used them. Bonnie asks what Chanel thought of her book but Johnny says she’s been too busy to read it. Bonnie mentions not wanting Justin to read it until it was a real published book and now that’s really going to happen. Bonnie declares that she’s going to be a published romance novelist.

Steve notes that Kayla still looks worried. Kayla admits she feels guilty as she was just telling Marlena that all those years ago, Stephanie was in an abusive relationship with Jeremy and they didn’t do anything to protect her or know how bad it was. Kayla feels they should’ve been all over it and done more to help her when Jeremy came back to Salem. Steve insists they are doing that now. Kayla doesn’t think it’s a good idea to have Jeremy feel trapped. Kayla is trying to tell herself to be brave. Kayla talks about worrying more about their kids now that they are older. Steve says the hardest part of being a parent is not always being able to keep their kids safe, but points out that Stephanie is in Salem and promises they will keep her safe.

Jada joins Alex and Stephanie in their apartment. Jada mentions the police escorts outside while Alex reassures Stephanie that they will be safe. Jada says she’s going to update Steve on everything going on. Jada knows Stephanie is worried but assures it will all work out. Stephanie decides she’s ready to go. Alex says he will swing by the Kiriakis Mansion to give Justin a heads up about everything and share the news. Jada shows them a photo from the cop tailing Jeremy so they know what he’s wearing and advises them to keep their guard up. Stephanie thanks Jada and hugs her. Jada says they are almost to the finish line and tells Alex that she will see him at the courthouse as she exits. The stalker listens in from the bugged picture frame as Stephanie tells Alex that if all goes as planned, they can tell everybody they eloped on Valentine’s Day and are already husband and wife. Stephanie guesses she has no choice but to pretend she’s still single. Alex says not quite yet as he sometimes thinks he hasn’t told her enough how much he really loves her and calls her the best thing to ever happen to him. Stephanie says she loves him with all her heart forever and always as they kiss.

Johnny is glad Bonnie is excited and says DiMera is excited as well. Bonnie wants to see the contract he has drawn up. Justin then walks in and asks what’s going on. Bonnie informs him that Johnny is here to buy her book. Justin congratulates her. Bonnie says he’s here just in time to read over the contract and make sure she’s getting what she’s worth. Johnny shows Justin the contract but advises that they are in a very tight window to get the book out, so any back and forth could push back the publishing date. Bonnie asks if she should want more money. Justin thinks they should discuss it in private but Bonnie says she’s good with what they are offering on the condition that they have the Bakery create edible handcuffs for all of her book signings. Johnny says he’ll have to talk to Chanel but he’s sure they can figure something out. Alex then arrives.

Stephanie joins Kayla and Steve in Kayla’s office at the hospital. They check on how she’s doing. Stephanie talks about how crazy the last few months have been with the stalker situation and feels she totally brought it on herself. Stephanie feels Jeremy came back to town because he recognized the story in her book. Kayla says normal people don’t act like that. Stephanie calls Jeremy not normal and talks about how he came back remorseful so she gave him a second chance and now she worries that he’s after her and wants Alex dead. Steve insists no one is to blame except Jeremy or whoever is targeting her. Stephanie still regrets dragging them, Jada, and the police in to this. Steve says she didn’t drag anyone. Stephanie is grateful for their help but can’t believe something wonderful and exciting turned in to something horrible.. Stephanie says she had a great career and asks why she had to want more. Kayla encourages her book writing and says she’s very proud of her. Kayla tells Stephanie that she deserves to enjoy the happiness she worked for. Steve agrees not to let some loser take that away from her. Stephanie is so blessed to have the most supporting and loving parents. Stephanie thanks them for helping her through this. Kayla assures they would always do anything for her. They talk about Stephanie getting married. Steve says it took some time for him to get to know Alex, but he sees now that he’s a good man that loves her, so he definitely deserves her. Stephanie cries that she loves them both so much as they hug.

Jada is at the police station, watching security footage on her laptop that catches her eye.

Stephanie says that’s enough crying and it’s time to get to work as she thanks Kayla for letting her use her office. Kayla calls it a good place to hide while Stephanie notes that she will be doing some hospital work while there. Kayla is sure she could put that aside until after Jeremy is caught but Stephanie says EJ might not agree as he wants her to put out a press release on the success of the free clinic in it’s first three months. Kayla admits she has to applaud that the clinic is making a big difference in everyone’s lives and changing the community. Kayla asks if EJ is going to collaborate on her press release. Stephanie says he’ll probably look it over but he has other things to take care of, so he won’t be there until later. Kayla says she’ll have a nice and peaceful place to work then. Stephanie says she’ll just have to find a way to focus while all she can think of is what’s happening at the courthouse.

Alex asks what brings Johnny by the Kiriakis Mansion. Bonnie gladly informs him that DiMera decided to buy her book that Titan wouldn’t read. Alex says he’s happy it worked out and congratulates her. Johnny gets a call so he steps out to answer it. Justin is surprised Alex is here and not getting ready for his wedding. Bonnie explains that she found their wedding website which she showed to Justin immediately. Justin adds that they know they decided to elope at the courthouse today. Bonnie admits her surprise as she thought they wanted a big blowout wedding. Alex says he didn’t think they would see that. Bonnie asks if they can be there for their big moment now that they know. Alex then reveals that they aren’t eloping today because they already got married, surprising Justin and Bonnie.

Stephanie introduces Kayla to Officer Hansen, who has been keeping an eye on her. Kayla gets paged to the ER and says she’ll be back to check on them as she exits. Officer Hansen then tells Stephanie that he’ll be right outside the door.

Steve joins Jada at the police station. Jada informs him that she’s been going over the security footage of Jeremy at the town square from Halloween. Jada then shows Steve the footage shows someone in a mask wearing a scientist costume, just like Jeremy’s, and that he has a knife in his hand about to stab Alex. Steve then declares that this means Jeremy is the stalker while Jada states that they have him dead to rights.

Alex explains to Justin and Bonnie that all he knew was that Stephanie had a big Valentine’s Day surprise for him in Chicago, then he was blindfolded and led to a wedding chapel where Stephanie asked him then and there to marry her. Bonnie calls that the most ridiculously romantic thing but wishes they could have been there. Alex says he does too and wasn’t trying to keep it from them, but it just happened and now he’s here to fill them in. Justin says he’s disappointed they missed it but he’s very happy for them. Alex assures that they will still have a big wedding for family and friends. Justin asks how Stephanie came up with this surprise. Alex explains that when they went to get the marriage license for the fake elopement, she got the idea to do it for real and he loved it. Alex notes that Jada was their witness/bodyguard/maid of honor. Bonnie calls it wonderful and asks about his ring. Alex reminds them that with the stalker situation, he can’t be seen wearing it. Justin admits he’s not a fan of the sting operation. Alex assures that it was meticulously planned out. Justin worries that Jeremy is a homicidal maniac and will have a plan too. Alex insists that he’s got cops all over and being shadowed everywhere he goes. Alex promises that he’ll be fine and that after today, they’ll never have to think about this again.

Jada tells Steve that they can arrest Jeremy now on charges that will stick, so she needs to get officers over to North Salem Elementary. Steve worries about little kids seeing their teacher dragged away in handcuffs. Jada says she’ll make sure they do it right. Steve suggests waiting a few minutes school is out which Jada says is what she was thinking too as they pull out their phones. Steve calls Stephanie and tells her that they got proof that Jeremy is the stalker and the police is about to arrest him. Stephanie questions it happening already since Alex isn’t even at the courthouse yet. Steve tells her there’s no need as they got Jeremy on video from Halloween. Stephanie can’t believe it and calls it fantastic news. Stephanie says she’ll call Alex now. Steve tells her that Jada is texting him now and that it’s almost over. Stephanie thanks Steve. Steve tells her to stay in Kayla’s office until she hears from him as they hang up. Someone then enters the office dressed as a nurse. Stephanie tells them that if they’re looking for Kayla, she got called away on an emergency.

Johnny returns to the living room and asks if they know there’s a guy hanging around outside. Alex confirms that he’s with him. Bonnie asks Johnny if his long phone call was about her book. Johnny says it wasn’t as they can’t move forward with the publication until her deal is closed. Johnny tells her to look over the contract and sign it as DiMera are eager to publish One Stormy Afternoon and get it on bookshelves. Bonnie remarks that there will then be two famous authors in the family. Alex is sure when Stephanie finds out, she’ll be calling to congratulate her. Johnny tells Justin that he has a legal question before he leaves. Johnny says he and Chanel have a hearing to finalize Trey’s adoption and asks if they should do anything special to prepare for it. Justin calls it just a formality and he expects it to be very joyous. Justin recalls when he and Adrienne adopted their boys and then got pregnant with Sonny. Bonnie comments on that happening all the time. Johnny reveals that he can relate because Chanel is pregnant.

Steve calls Kayla and tells her that Jeremy should be in custody in minutes. Kayla is relieved and says she can finally breathe as she calls it great news. Kayla suggests starting an online language course so she could learn Mandarin before they go visit Tripp and Wendy in Hong Kong. Steve decides he’ll bring home Chinese takeout for dinner then as they hang up. Jada is on the phone, angrily telling her officer to find Jeremy as she hangs up. Jada then informs Steve that Jeremy wasn’t at the school and they don’t know where he is.

The man dressed as a nurse tells Stephanie that he’s just dropping things off for Kayla, but he then goes behind Stephanie and grabs her from behind with a rag over her face as she screams.

Justin congratulates Johnny as Bonnie says she understands why Chanel hasn’t had time to read her book and asks when the baby is due. Johnny notes that Chanel is three months pregnant now. Bonnie says there’s nothing better than holding a newborn and asks how Chanel is feeling. Johnny admits she’s pretty wiped out and experiencing morning sickness. Bonnie calls that a sign that the baby is doing well and asks if they know it’s a boy or a girl. Johnny says not yet but it’s a healthy baby. Justin sends their best. Johnny asks them to keep it quiet for now as they aren’t quite ready for the world to know yet which they agree to. Alex tells Johnny that he’s thrilled for them as well. Bonnie calls it a day of exciting news.

At the nurse’s desk, a nurse tells Kayla that she has another patient waiting.

Justin, Bonnie, Alex, and Johnny have a drink. Justin decides he and Bonnie should look over her contract. Bonnie thanks Johnny again and reminds him about the edible handcuffs as she and Justin leave together. Alex tells Johnny that he’s sorry if it was awkward with Bonnie’s book but he’s glad it all worked out and repeats that he’s thrilled for he and Chanel. Johnny congratulates Alex and Stephanie on the engagement. Johnny decides he should get back to the office so Alex says it was good to see him as Johnny exits. Alex then gets a text from Jada that the sting operation is off and to call for details.

Jada tells Steve that she has notified the state police and the FBI to look out for Jeremy’s car. Steve doesn’t understand how this happened. Jada says she doesn’t know either, but she’s going to find out. Jada says she will contact the officer assigned to Stephanie. She calls him but it goes straight to voicemail, so Steve orders her to try again.

Kayla goes to check on her patient Mrs. Walsh, but finds she has been replaced in the hospital bed by an unconscious Officer Hansen.

Stephanie is unconscious, gagged and tied up in a chair in an unknown location.

Best Lines provided by Barbara

Audra: Something wrong?
Claire: Oh, I’m just in a state of shock that you would hold a door open for me.
Audra: You thought I’d let it hit you in the face?
Claire: I thought you’d slam it.

Audra: I’m curious. Why were you with Holden in the first place? Was it a one-night stand you couldn’t quit? Something more?
Claire: Why do you care?
Audra: Well, he just doesn’t seem like your type. But maybe that’s what you were going for – the opposite of Kyle.

Kyle: Sorry, am I late?
Claire: You are right on time.
Kyle: Well, thanks for agreeing to have breakfast with me.
Claire: You’re welcome.
Audra: You know, maybe there’s another reason why you and Holden are done. Rebound over. Pivot back to ex.
Claire: Have a lovely day, Audra.
Audra: You too, Claire.

Tessa: Oh, Daniel, this is Sienna. I know her from LA. We were in the music scene together.
Daniel: Oh, cool. Uh, nice to meet you.
Sienna: Yeah, likewise.
Daniel: So … what brings you to town?
Sienna: Oh, um, well, it’s kind of a long story, but I live here now and uh, I’m with Noah Newman.
Daniel: Oh! With Noah. Noah and I actually share a half-sister, Summer.
Sienna: Wow. It seems like everybody in this town is related to a Newman.
Daniel: Yeah, it’s the truth.

Kyle: She’s not worth anyone’s energy. Especially yours. You’re too good of a person.
Claire: I’m not perfect.
Kyle: Eh, from where I’m sitting, you’re pretty flawless.
Claire: Flatterer.
Kyle. Besides, the less time spent on Audra opens up more time to …
Claire: To do literally, anything else? Because that would be preferable.
Kyle: Not to push, but I wouldn’t mind having breakfast more often with you.
Claire: Just breakfast?
Kyle: I’m open to lunch. And coffee. Grocery shopping.
Claire: Mm-hmm.
Kyle: I mean, I’ll pretty much take any opportunity I can get to spend more time with you.
Claire: Grocery shopping? It’s a date.

Best Lines provided by Barbara

Kyle (to Claire as she’s walking toward the bar at Society, looking down at a book she’s holding): Is that book so people won’t try talking to you? And here I am talking to you. We can just pretend that I didn’t see you.
Claire: It was one of my dad’s. The plan was to have an empanada and read some of the same words as my dad, and remember that there are good people in the world.
Kyle: Woof.

Audra: Oh, look who’s back from Los Angeles. Guess it didn’t go well if you’re back so soon. You couldn’t recapture some of that LA magic.
Holden: Seems like a bad idea for you to joke about LA, given the current circumstances.

Sally: Very nice.
Billy: Well, you set the bar pretty high. You did something like this for me not too long ago. You know, when you lived here and had a key and all that?
Sally: I think your snacks might be a little better.
Billy: Yes. Score one for me.
Sally: Half a point.

Audra: You wanted to just recapture whatever magic you had in LA, but Claire had other plans. She just wanted to find dirt on me.
Holden: Claire isn’t as obsessed with you as you are with her.
Audra (scoffs): Obsessed. She left Genoa City while her family is at war. You think that was to cuddle with you?
Holden: Ha. No.
Audra: That whole trip was about finding more dirt on me. She never would have left otherwise. And you know I’m right.

Holden: Everything happening with the Newmans, it’s … it’s intense. You hear about AI this and AI that, but this is … this is atom bomb level stuff.
Audra: Yeah, it’s insane. Wish I’d thought of it. Meanwhile, your little girlfriend runs off to California, leaving her grandpa’s side because she can’t quit me.
Holden: It’s hard to work up much sympathy for Victor since he did the same thing to Cane … among other things.
Audra: Careful. Claire’s Grandpa’s biggest fan.
Holden: Well, then she doesn’t see the big picture.
Audra: It almost sounds like you think she’s making a big mistake, but I thought she was perfect.
Holden: She’s too close to the issue. I can see things clearly. And that man doesn’t give a damn about anyone who doesn’t share his last name.
Audra: Is there something you know, Holden? Something we can use to distract Claire – or better yet, shut her up entirely?
Holden: Taking on Claire isn’t enough for you? You want to go poking around in Victor’s business? How – how have you survived this long with instincts like that?
Audra: It’s not surviving. It’s called thriving.

Audra: So, she listened to you?

Holden: I think so, yes.

Audra: But, you don’t know?

Holden: I said … I think so.
Audra: And I can guarantee you – you don’t know how to think.

Kyle: Audra is the kind of person who’s always looking for someone she can use. If she can’t exploit them now, maybe there will come a time. So she uses her humor and her confidence …
Claire: To lure men into her bed.
Kyle (laughs): It’s nothing personal. It’s just … how she functions.
Claire: I can read Audra. I think that’s probably one of the reasons why she hates me. And, uh, she’s not gonna give up on you anytime soon.
Kyle: Yeah, out of spite or because she hates losing. But as far as an actual relationship, she misses Nate and it makes sense ’cause he’s the only one who ever cared about her. God knows why, but it was real, and she blew it up.

Audra: Look, at the Shadow Room, no matter who you went home with, it was never the same woman twice. Everyone knew that’s just how you rolled. Have a little fun and move on.

Holden: And?

Audra: Except not this time. It’s like that player is gone. The man I see right now … I think he’s falling for Claire.

Holden: She’s done with me.
Audra: Wait – this whole conversation, and you’re just now telling me that?
Holden: You already called me out. You said LA didn’t go the way I wanted, and … you were right.
Audra: Well, I mean, I thought separate hotel rooms, not her sending you on your way. And why now?
Holden: She knew I was holding out on her. Which I am, and so … so she’s done. Which means that I no longer have to spend all my energy lying to her, and she doesn’t have to dig into my past or yours.

Audra: Wow. Well, she’s an idiot. Where’s she gonna find a guy like you?

Holden: Oh, now you want us back together?

Audra. God, no. You should have walked away from her months ago. Wasting your time on that psycho. She never deserved you in the first place. She never gave you the benefit of the doubt, never trusted you, and she was never willing to accept what you were willing to give. So … good riddance. For both of us. Who needs that kind of misery? Anyone who doesn’t believe in you can go straight to hell.

Audra: What’s so special about her anyway? You and Kyle, just falling for those dimples. You can find other dimples without risking jail time

Recap written by Barbara

Claire runs into Kyle at the Society bar; he invites her to join him for a drink – his treat. They talk briefly about her family situation and then about her trip to LA. She tells Kyle that the trip did not provide her with the answer to the secret of what happened with Audra (regarding her connection to the missing art dealer there). Claire indicates that she is suspicious of Audra-  she thinks she’s up to something. Kyle informs Claire that Audra is going to work with Sally, so she’ll be less interested in causing trouble and more concerned with her job. He also tells her that there was nothing real between him and Audra. Claire insists that Audra is obsessed with him and is not going to give up on him anytime soon. Kyle counters that as relationships go, the only person she misses is Nate, who was the only one who ever cared about her. Kyle admits that he’s a little jealous that Claire went on a trip to LA with Holden again.  Claire mentions that Holden is lying to her and keeping secrets, so she no longer wants to be associated with him.
Audra is at Crimson Lights, finishing up a Spectra-Charles Media business call, when Holden enters. They sit down and discuss his trip with Claire to LA.  He assures her that there’s no reason to believe that Claire learned or knows anything else about what happened with them in LA. He tells Audra that Claire isn’t as obsessed with her as she thinks. Audra isn’t convinced. She also lets Holden know that Sally hired her to work at Spectra-Charles Media, so she doesn’t want Claire to mess that up. Holden tells Audra that Claire is done with him because she knows he was holding out on her. Audra says that Claire being out of his life is good riddance for both of them.
At the Newman ranch, Victoria tells Nikki that she is postponing going to see Summer in Italy, but she’s not giving up on the idea entirely. She also expresses worry about how Nick seems off and appears to be in a lot of pain. Nikki is concerned about Nick going after Matt Clark in the condition he’s in. They also discuss Phyllis’s takeover of their family legacy. Victoria is emphatic in her determination to get back everything that belongs to them.
Back at his place, Billy pulls out all the stops with pre-dinner snacks and champagne for Sally. She tries to resist his heartfelt plea to give him a second chance and win her back. When he tells her that he wants them to be open and honest, even about things they aren’t proud of, she opens up about her alcoholic father who was a big dreamer that would do anything to chase his dreams, only to fail repeatedly. She admits that it was difficult for her, growing up with him. She also tells Billy that she feels that he chose Chancellor over her. He counters that wanting Chancellor doesn’t change the way he feels about her, that he loves her and still sees them building a life together. He gets out a pen and writes, “I love you” in her palm, just like she had done with him in Nice, and they kiss.

Days of Our Lives Update

Days of Our Lives logo

Update written by Joseph

Gabi sits in the town square on a work call. She hangs up when she gets another call from Philip, asking when he can see her again. Gabi says it’s only been five minutes and thought he was swamped at work. They agree to meet later for dinner as they hang up.

Cat goes to see Rafe, who says he doesn’t have good news. Rafe reveals that Dimitri jumped bail and fled the country, adding that it looks like it wasn’t a solo act and that he had a helping hand from Leo Stark.

Jada goes to the DiMera Mansion and tells EJ that she came to ask him if he’s heard from Dimitri. EJ says no and questions why she would assume he has. EJ says Dimitri might be family but they aren’t exactly chummy and since it’s been confirmed that he conspired with Vivian in the kidnapping plot, he’s no longer welcome and he plans to kick him out. Jada responds that it won’t be necessary since Dimitri fled Salem with the help of someone EJ might know.

Leo and Dimitri arrive at a hotel room in Alamainia. Dimitri tells Leo that he can take the bed while he takes the floor which Leo calls nice of him. Dimitri bets that Leo thought he’d try to talk him in to sharing the bed with him. Dimitri acknowledges that Leo has been very good to him and he knows how much he’s risking to help him, so he will respect his boundaries. Leo says he appreciates that and will hold him to it. Dimitri asks to borrow a pillow which Leo allows.

Vivian’s servant Ivan is on the phone with her, assuring that he will take care of everything.

EJ assumes Jada is talking about Leo which she confirms. Jada explains that Dimitri barged in the hospital with Leo, claiming a sprained ankle and needing an x-ray while Leo pulled the fire alarm, mayhem ensued and they escaped. EJ asks if they know what transport they used. Jada informs him that they took the Von Leuschner jet from a private airfield. EJ asks what the flight plan revealed. Jada reveals they landed in Alamainia.

Dimitri asks Leo about the book he’s reading. Leo says it’s called “Letting Go”. Leo then complains about Dimitri wearing Javi’s work shirt as part of his disguise to escape the hospital, so Dimitri agrees to remove it, leaving him shirtless in front of Leo.

Rafe tells Cat that they know Leo pulled the fire alarm and that the surveillance footage showed Dimitri in an EMT uniform, so he believes Leo used his relationship with Javi to help Dimitri. Cat mentions working with Dimitri when he was at the ISA and something about him rubbed her the wrong way, then when she found out he was a double agent, it all made sense. Cat mentions that Dimitri hasn’t seen her since being back in Salem and that she’s made sure to avoid him. Cat adds that her own siblings didn’t recognize her after her plastic surgery, so she questions why Dimitri would.

EJ questions why Jada is here if they suspect Dimitri to be in Alamainia. Jada presents a warrant to search Dimitri’s room and says that forensics will be there soon. EJ says he has no objection. Jada then shows him the composite sketch from the artist that Liam helped with and asks if EJ recognizes him. EJ says he doesn’t and asks if he should. Jada explains that they believe he may have been an accessory in EJ’s kidnapping. EJ says he hopes she finds whoever it is.

In Alamainia, the man from the sketch goes to Ivan and says he needs a favor, so he asks Ivan to cover his absence with Vivian because he has some business to take care of in Salem. Ivan is sure Vivian will be happy to allow him access to the private jet, especially since he will be using it to eliminate anyone who could connect her to being Peter Blake’s accomplice.

Jada runs in to Gabi in the town square, so Gabi invites her to join her table which Jada accepts. Jada asks how Valentine’s Day in Miami was with Philip. Gabi calls it a very romantic Valentine’s and says they had a wonderful time. Gabi adds that Philip has really been there for her, noting that the trip could’ve been a disaster but Philip has been amazing and supportive. Jada asks what he’s been supportive about.

Cat asks if Rafe is going to fly back to Alamainia to track down Dimitri and Leo. Rafe says it’s one thing at a time and that Andrew and Paul are on their way there now. Rafe adds that they have plenty to deal with here and asks Cat about her dinner with EJ last night. Cat says it was fine but she didn’t get any closer to getting a glimpse of the secret room, so they are no closer to finding out who was staying in there. Rafe says he knows they thought who it was would be tied to the DiMera kidnappings but now that seems unlikely. Rafe is pretty sure whoever it was is somehow tied to something corrupt going on. Rafe asks if there’s any information on EJ’s secret lab. Cat says not exactly and brings up trying to jog EJ’s memory about their time in the Italian clinic. Cat thought that would make EJ confide in her and trust her, then says it’s working maybe a little too well.

Rita goes to see EJ at the DiMera Mansion. EJ tells her that they need to talk about their Vivian Alamain project. Rita asks if he means making sure she pays for teaming up with Peter Blake. EJ says it won’t be a walk in the park since Vivian is in Alamainia, but he won’t let that get in the way of getting justice so he plans on taking matters in to his own hands. EJ tells Rita that he needs to know how the police got the sketch so he can find out who is working with Vivian. EJ adds that he also just found out that Dimitri is in Alamainia with Leo. Rita asks why that’s a problem. EJ explains that Dimitri trying to prove his innocence could end up implicating he and Gwen, which they cannot let happen at all costs. EJ adds that there’s another reason he wants Dimitri dealt with, because if he does prove Gwen kidnapped him then her assets can’t be unfrozen and that cash flow is paramount to the entire hospital project, at least until Stefano’s will is read.

Dimitri puts a shirt on and asks Leo if they should finalize their plan of attack. Leo asks if he has something new to add. Dimitri responds that he’s been setting things up and may have come up with a list of potential places he was held. Leo asks how he could identify the house if he was never able to go outside. Dimitri says he has the run of the interior since he was bored and lonely, so he memorized every inch of the place. Dimitri adds that the only thing keeping him going was the belief that he could return to his life. Dimitri is pretty sure he can rule out most of the places he wasn’t being held and then it’s just a matter of deducing where it was. Dimitri thinks the first place they should go is Vivian’s estate because he was never there and intends to prove it. Leo asks if he’s out of his mind.

The man tells Ivan that he assured Vivian that no one could connect him to her, but unfortunately that wasn’t quite true. Ivan informs him that Dimitri just landed in Alamainia, looking to clear his name. He asks if Ivan wants him to handle that before he goes. Ivan calls that a very generous offer but says they are well equipped to take care of Dimitri, so there will be no problem at all.

Gabi tells Jada about finding out that Stefan is really dead and turning in to an emotional wreck. Gabi thought she was going to ruin the whole weekend but it turned out really great because Philip is so kind and understanding. Jada tells Gabi that’s what she deserves. Gabi says she’s not so sure about that but she feels really lucky, so she hopes it doesn’t all blow up in her face. Jada questions why she would say that.

Rafe questions Cat saying EJ remembered their connection too well. Cat explains that EJ wanted to jog his memory so he had her read to him like she did in the clinic. Rafe asks how that went. Cat says they got interrupted but she was surprised at how intent EJ was about learning about that time of his life, questioning what more he needs to know. Rafe guesses EJ wonders why they have that connection. Cat says they were both victims of Clyde, not that she wants EJ finding out how she was tied to Clyde. Rafe points out that her cover would be blown, which Cat assures she will not let happen.

Rita asks EJ if he will no longer need Gwen’s help after Stefano’s will is read. EJ confirms if it goes as he expects. Rita asks if he’s concerned it might not. EJ says he drew up Stefano’s will and knows every detail, so he’s not anticipating any surprises.

Dimitri tells Leo that he thinks visiting Vivian is a very good idea. Leo argues that she won’t tell them anything. Dimitri points out that Vivian has staff, who know he was never there and how his belongings got there. Dimitri says he has money and money talks while they are both adept at extracting information from people so there’s nothing to worry about. Dimitri feels he’s faced off with far more dangerous figures than Vivian. Dimitri reveals that he also has a gun and knows how to use it, causing Leo to worry about what he’s gotten himself in to.

Rafe asks Cat if she questioned EJ about the electricity theft. Cat says he was keeping his cards close to his vest. Cat reveals that she did get a device from the ISA to get the numbers for the code for the lab. Rafe says he’ll take it there but Cat asks to do it, pointing out that Mark said EJ is working from home today and she has a built in excuse of working for EJ while Rafe doesn’t, so Rafe reluctantly agrees to let Cat go.

Rita tells EJ that she knows the particulars of Stefano’s will. EJ assures her that she will get her due. They talk about the inheritance being split among the living heirs of Stefano which EJ happily points out takes Peter, Jake, and Stefan out of the running.

Jada asks Gabi why things would blow up with Philip. Gabi responds that given her romantic history, she’s always waiting for something to go terribly wrong. Jada says she totally gets that, but just because things have gone wrong in the past doesn’t mean it always will. Jada encourages that it’s time they start telling happier stories which Gabi agrees with. Gabi is still sad that Jada and Rafe didn’t work out. Jada says it wasn’t meant to be, but tells Gabi that she went out with Theo last night and it went good, so he wants to see her again. Jada brings up their trivia double date night which Gabi thinks they can make happen.

Dimitri and Leo go to Vivian’s estate where Ivan tells Dimitri that Vivian is expecting him, so Dimitri questions where she is. Ivan responds that he’s afraid she will not see him, so Dimitri asks why the hell not.

Gabi goes home and greets Rafe, who notes that she seems to be in high spirits. Gabi confirms that she is and says Miami was the best. Gabi shows Rafe the bracelet that Philip got her for Valentine’s Day. Rafe guesses they are getting serious. Gabi admits they are and that they just get each other so it feels easy and natural with no need to pretend or impress. Gabi feels they bring out the best in each other.

Dimitri demands an answer as to where Vivian is. Leo argues that Ivan just said she was expecting him. Dimitri tells Ivan that he was never there and he knows that, so their little game is about to come to an end.

Rita asks EJ if there’s anything else. EJ says there has been something he’s been wanting to ask her which only she and Sami would know about. EJ brings up when he was laid up in the Italian hospital years ago and when he woke up to reclaim his life, his relationship with Sami had changed. EJ says at the time, he assumed it was from the trauma from the accident but he never quite understood the change of heart. EJ is beginning to think that maybe it wasn’t about Sami, but about Cat Green.

Cat goes to EJ’s lab at the hospital and prepares to sneak in.

Rafe tells Gabi that if she’s happy, he’s happy. Rafe then gets a text with the results from the handwriting analysis from Gabi’s divorce papers, so Gabi asks what it says. Rafe reveals they are inconclusive and need more handwriting samples. Rafe assures that he will find some and says he’s sorry that this leaves Gabi in limbo. Gabi says she knows now that Stefan is gone so it shouldn’t matter to her, but it does and she needs to know whether Stefan wanted their marriage to end or not.

Ivan assures Dimitri that there is no game being played and asks to keep this civilized. Dimitri asks where Vivian is and when she’s coming back. Ivan says they can discuss it over tea, noting that it’s shipped directly from India. Ivan hands them their tea, then questions why they are hesitating. Leo accuses Ivan of poisoning the tea. Ivan asks if he thinks this is a spy movie. Dimitri tells Ivan to take a sip of his tea then. Ivan responds that he has his own cup. Dimitri decides that it was a big mistake to come here and deal with Ivan. Dimitri mocks Ivan being loyal to Vivian and says he leads a sad life. Ivan disagrees and says his life is filled with laughter and joy, adding that he and Vivian count their blessings. Dimitri remarks that he’s glad they stay in this country so he never has to see them, until he comes back to get his belongings. Dimitri shouts that this is not over by a long shot as he storms out with Leo.

Rita asks EJ what Cat Green has to do with any of this. EJ explains that it’s come to his attention that they were recovering at the same hospital in Italy at the same time which he calls a strange coincidence. EJ says neither of them have great memory from that time except for Cat reading to him at his bedside. EJ declares that what he does know is that he a strong pull towards Cat now and he wonders if something happened between them that changed his feelings towards Sami.

Cat uses her decoder on the key pad to the lab.

Y&R Raves and Rants #7

Young and the Restless Opinion Article

Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Noah (Lucase Adams) on "Young and the Restless" on CBS/Paramount+ (screencap)

Article written by Barbara 3/1/26

Here is what I liked and disliked about Y&R for the week of 2/23/2026 (just my humble opinions, no particular order, just random musings)

Raves: 👍

I really, really enjoyed the light, flirty banter between Audra and Noah at the GCAC bar, reminiscing about their time together in London and chatting. Talk about chemistry – these two have it in spades! Noah was energized and grinning; he sparkled when he and Audra were chatting… a stark contrast to how he comes across like a misguided puppy dog chasing after old lady Sienna, who IMHO has no appeal whatsoever. The way Noah looked at Audra during the friendly and flirty part of their conversation, the gleam in his eyes … nice.

Too bad it went south with Noah and Audra after she told him she got a job as co-CEO of Spectra-Charles Media (the re-branded Newman Media, which was stolen from Noah’s Uncle Adam), because I could easily have gotten behind these two as a couple.

Audra, Noah and Kyle, the three of them hanging out at the GCAC bar … 😁

I like Victoria and Nate together. He gets her.
Jack taking digs at Victor had me literally LOL. 🤣

I like how they incorporated the actor, Michael Graziadei (Daniel), who plays the guitar in real life into his character’s storyline. Added bonus – his character’s father and quasi-girlfriend both being musicians on-screen and in real life.

Lauren looked beautiful in the dress she was wearing on Friday’s episode. Very pretty haircut and color, too.

So nice to see another pair of women best friends – Phyllis and Lauren. In fact, that same day, they showcased both sets of women BFF’s – Phyllis/Lauren and Sally/Audra.

Rants: 👎

I’m tired of Victor’s evasiveness with Nikki/his wife. It’s getting old and making her come off like a nag (about his continuing to keep her out of the loop regarding his secretive efforts to reclaim Newman Enterprises).

Sienna and Noah are back together. Ugh. She has moved from LA to Genoa City to be with him, and I had to look away from the screen each time they leaned in to kiss. 🤢 She has not zero, but negative appeal. I cannot stand the way she talks and looks. Must admit, I enjoyed seeing the frown on Nick’s face when Sienna mentioned that she decided to live in Genoa City and be with his son.

Detective Cardboard, oops, Detective Burrow, was back on the scene, telling Nick, Sharon, Noah and Sienna that he can’t do anything to help them with Matt being released from jail and out on the loose, since Matt was let go legally, on a technicality. Fine with me, because I’d much rather watch Nick and the Newmans deal with Matt than Detective Useless. I couldn’t believe what they had him say – he appeared to be addressing Nick when he said that although he would normally caution against taking the law into his (referring to Nick) own hand, in this case, it might be his (Nick’s) only choice. What a waste of air space this character is and the actor who plays him is a dud. Pair the detective with Sienna and send them back to LA together.

The dress Phyllis wore for her first day in her office at her newly acquired Newman Enterprises was beautiful, but it wasn’t appropriate for a C-Suite. (It looked perfect on her at the GCAC dining room, where Lauren took her for a fancy, celebratory breakfast.)

The opinions in these articles are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of TVMEG.COM or its other volunteers.

Lauren: Now, what on earth would I do that for?
Phyllis: I don’t know. Because you’re empty handed. You don’t have flowers or champagne or anything. Et tu, Brute?
Lauren: Oh, we’re quoting The Bard, now?
Phyllis: Well, yeah. I mean, Victor quoted Shakespeare, so I figure I can do whatever I want. But really, I – I’m so tired of character assassinations by people who are triggered by my success. So …
Lauren: Well, then … let me rewrite Julius Caesar for you. I have not come to bury you. I have come to praise you.

Phyllis (sitting with Lauren in the GCAC dining room, shouting): Breakfast for everyone! Breakfast on me. (Lowers voice) They can eat their hearts out.
Lauren: (laughs)
Billy: That sounds great. I’ll take a side of bacon.
Lauren: Oh. Hello, Billy.
Phyllis: You look happy, Billy.
Billy: Well, I’m just happy to see you two beautiful women here together, although I am surprised that you’re here together.
Lauren: Why? We’ve been friends forever.
Billy: Yeah, I know, but you’re also married to Michael Baldwin, so the fact that you are here together could mean one of two things. You’re either in the process of chastising her for the coup that she just pulled off, or maybe you’re actually happy that she was the one that screwed Victor over because of the amount of times that he screwed Michael over in the past. She’s the one to make it happen. Maybe you’re okay with that.
Phyllis: Lauren is the only one who’s not passing judgment on me.
Billy: Hey, now, I was on board from the get-go.
Lauren: Well, of course you were all for it. Everybody knows you hate Victor Newman and probably jumped at the chance to be part of his demise.
Billy: Honestly, I had nothing to do with it. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

Billy: So this is just the two of you being gal pals? I’m supposed to believe you’re not using your decades-long friendship to try and convince Phyllis that she made a mistake?
Lauren: Oh. That’s a page out of your playbook, Billy, not mine. I’m not that devious. Especially with my friends. And Phyllis is a very important friend to me, whether you believe it or not.
Phyllis: Phyllis is right here.
Billy: I’m very much aware of that. I would say proceed with caution where your friends and enemies are concerned because I’m sure they’re coming at you at all angles. Don’t cave under the pressure. Don’t let anyone convince you you don’t deserve this. You’ve come way too far to have someone talk you out of your success now. Good to see you.

Audra: Sharing so much as a stick of gum with him is a huge mistake and something you should avoid at all costs.
Sally: Okay, you make it sound like I lose all sense of myself when I’m around him.
Audra: This so-called dinner can only go one of two ways. Either he convinces you to get back with him, and you’ll end up back on that roller coaster you swore you were done riding. Or you’ll stand your ground, in which case he won’t take no for an answer. And if that happens, you two adults could end up being anything but civil.
Sally: There’s no way I’m letting Billy talk me into getting back together with him, okay? I made it very clear to him, and now to you, I am moving forward.

Phyllis: This is the way I see it. This is my last chance, Lauren. This is quite possibly my only chance to change my life. For the better. Do you understand what I’m saying? Maybe do something good in the world. It’s incredible to me that I am the villain and the Newmans are the victims in my dastardly deeds. That’s how people see it. The Newman family, no matter what crisis befalls them, they come out on top. I mean, I can’t believe doing what I did has affected my friends and family the way it has, that they wanna alienate me. These are the same people who chastised me for going toe to toe with Victor Newman and winning, and I won – I won, Lauren. Nobody has been able to do that. And I did it. But somehow I’m alone because of it. I’m the town pariah?am? Really? Listen, if that means I have to go solo, fine. If that’s my only option, so be it – I don’t care.
Lauren: I’m – I’m so sorry, and if there’s anything … that I can do to help you, just you say the word, okay?
Phyllis: Maybe there is.
Lauren: Name it.
Phyllis: Come work for me.
Lauren: I’m so flattered and, uh, touched by the offer. I – You know, I think I’m content where I am right now.
Phyllis: Mm. Is that really contentment that you feel?
Lauren: Well, as opposed to what?
Phyllis: As opposed to complacency, maybe? You know, to be honest, you’re due for an adventure, you know, something besides picking out wedding dresses for the Bug, you know, while beautiful, but still, putting together bachelorette parties. You’re better than that. Come work for me. Just think about it just a bit. But don’t let Michael talk you out of this, please. But imagine us together. We could take over the world.

Victor (Eric Braeden) on "The Young and The Restless" on CBS/Paramount+ (screencap)

Victoria (to her father/Victor): Can I ask you exactly what is it that you object to? Do you think it’s not gonna work, or are you upset that I’m willingly not gonna sit and watch you fix everything?

Phyllis: You know what? I’m done. I’m done. I’m going to the door. Press your little button thingy, and tell Shrek to get out of the way.
Cane: You are not going anywhere until I get what I want.

Phyllis: It’s about love. It was all about love. Profound.
Cane: I can’t give up on – on three people that I love most in my life. I just can’t. All that time I didn’t know where Lily and my kids were … and I was fearing for their safety … I realized that … the only time I’ve ever felt whole was when we were together. As a family. When we were happy. I felt like the richest, smartest, most powerful man in the world when my kids would come to me and ask for advice. Or support. I miss hugging them. I miss hearing them tell me they love me.
Phyllis: I get it. It’s about love, right?
Cane: Family is everything. Love is everything. And there’s no amount of … power or wealth or even vindication that’s worth losing all of that. Is there, Phyllis?

Victor (to Victoria): Sweetheart, I can assure you, if Matt Clark shows his damn face again, he’ll sign his own death warrant.

Sharon: The problem is, thinking that Matt would want to avoid another confrontation – that’s rational. But Matt is not rational. Nick and I know. He thrives on hand-to-hand combat.
Nick: Sharon’s right. It might take years. It might take decades. This guy always comes back.
Sharon: And if his actions so far are any indication, this go-round, he’s not wasting any time.

Sienna: Look, I really wanna believe that Matt is gonna play it safe, and he’s gonna go back to hiding under that rock that he slithered out from under, but … I think that Sharon’s right. And honestly, I don’t think I’ve got the stomach to handle another showdown with that despicable man.
Sharon: Take that feeling and multiply it tenfold, and that’s about scratching the surface of how Nick and I feel.

Detective Burrow: I don’t know. Matt got extremely lucky getting his case thrown out. You really think he’s stupid enough to return to the scene of the crime, do something to get himself locked up again?
Noah: I’ve gotta think that he’d think twice before taking that risk.
Nick: You all need to stop assuming that this guy is going to make the smart move. He’s not gonna do that. It’s not who he is. He’s a relentless psycho. He will be back. It’s just a matter of when.

Cane: Don’t you agree, Phyllis, that … all the power and wealth in the world isn’t worth it if you lose the only people you love in this life?
Phyllis: Yeah. Love and family are the only things that matter, right? You sound like Victor Newman. Ohh. Except he’s full of hot air and, um, look at how unhinged he is by – by losing all the power and money he could ever want.

Y&R Best Lines Tuesday, 2/24/26

Nate (Sean Dominic) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) on "Young and the Restless" on CBS/Paramount+ (screencap)

Best Lines provided by Barbara

Victoria: I’m the lucky one. My favorite drink waiting for me.
Nate: You know, I was seriously considering peppermint hot chocolate, but you sounded like you needed some fortification.
Victoria (takes a sip from a glass of red wine): You’re a wise man.

Jack: Victor! How’s that short game coming along these days?
Victor (chuckling): I don’t have time for this.
Jack: I haven’t seen you in awhile – not that I’ve missed you. I just assumed you’d flown south with the rest of the snowbirds to enjoy the links, you know, the fresh air, the ocean breezes.
Victor (chuckling): Let me ask you something, Jack. Have you lost your mind? I mean … you seem to be more of a blithering idiot than before.
Jack: Oh, golf’s not your game? Maybe you should try pickleball. I mean you got a lotta time on your hands now that you’ve lost Newman Enterprises. Tell me … how’s it feel to be retired?
Victor: I’ll leave the game playing to you and that punk brother of yours.
Jack: Good luck filling your day. Uh … shuffleboard may be more your game. (leaves)

Nikki: What was that all about?

Victor: Jack Abbott blowing smoke.

Jack: I live to make you happy.
Diane: Hmm. Well, then, can you make Victor and Nikki disappear?

Jack: Well I, for one, am very happy that Victor has crawled out from whatever rock he climbed under. That way I can rub salt in his self-inflicted wounds and, to tell the truth, I really like doing it.

Diane: I know you’re not one to take pleasure in other people’s misfortunes.
Jack: But in Victor’s case, I’m willing to make an exception. No, I enjoy watching him toppled from his self-made throne, especially since that fall happened through the same means he intended to use to destroy me.

Diane: Well, as long as he stays down this time. That man has more lives than a cat.
Jack: That is the rub, isn’t it?
Diane: Yeah.
Jack: Every time he’s down, no matter how hopeless, he seems to get back up, and I don’t know… better positioned than when it all started.
Diane: Well, it’s beyond infuriating.
Jack: Yeah. I would admire that quality in anyone else. In Victor, I find it nauseating.

Diane: It’s just seeing Victor and Nikki out and about in a public place looking so satisfied. I can’t — I can’t help but be suspicious.
Jack: It’s a weak attempt to maintain appearances. Victor is never going to admit defeat. In fact, we’ll probably bury that bastard with that “never say die” look on his face.

Nikki (standing in front of the long mirror in the GCAC ladies’ room, next to Diane, as the two women freshen their make-up): You followed me in here for a reason, so why don’t you just say what you wanna say?
Diane: Fine. I want you to stop using the tragedy your husband brought on you and your family as a way to score sympathy points with mine. Now, Jack might offer you some compassion because he’s kind and decent and obviously patient, but you really need to find another shoulder to cry on.

Nikki: Mm. Why are you so threatened?

Diane: Oh. I’m not threatened. I’m just tired of constantly finding poor, sniveling Nikki every time I turn around.
Nikki: Of course you feel threatened, Diane. Jack and I have been very close for a very long time, and I haven’t put him through a fraction of the agony you have over the years, which makes me think maybe you have serious doubts that you are capable of holding onto a man that you don’t deserve.

Nikki: I’m not the one who’s so insecure I need to accost someone in the ladies’ room.
Diane: Oh, I’m just freshening up. But it wouldn’t be a bad idea for you to stay away from my husband.
Nikki: Ah, well, that will never happen because Jack and I share a very special bond, something that you don’t understand or ever could.
Diane: No, it could happen if you would stop playing “damsel in distress” at every turn.
Nikki: I don’t go looking for sympathy from my dear friend. He just gives it to me.
Diane: (scoffs)
Nikki: That’s what friends do, but you wouldn’t know anything about that because you don’t have any. Oh. And that lip color? Not one of Jabot’s best. (exits)

Nate: I’m just trying to minimize that pain by encouraging you to think of other ventures that might give you equal satisfaction.
Victoria (laughs): Such as?
Nate: I don’t know, um … maybe you have an idea of starting your own company? Or maybe you wanna go in a completely different direction. Have you … seen yourself as a professor? Taking after Cole?
Victoria: What? In a classroom full of students teaching (laughs) Business 101? No. No, thank you.
Nate: Okay, uh, maybe, I don’t know, what did you wanna be when you were a kid?
Victoria: A CEO.
Nate: Oh. What?
Victoria: Yeah.

Nate: Uh, say, what about a dancer?

Victoria: Mm. Two left feet.
Nate: A singer?
Victoria: Tone deaf. Don’t say cook, either, because you know I can’t cook. I can bake chocolate chip cookies, but that’s baking.
Nate: You win for now. I’m just trying to open your mind to other possibilities.
Victoria: Understood. And I appreciate that. But right now, I’m focusing all of my energy on succeeding. I want Newman Enterprises back, and I’m gonna get it.

Jack: Oh, would you look at that. The façade has already crumbled. I guess Victor got some bad news. (chuckling) Couldn’t happen to a more deserving son of a bitch.

Noah (Lucas and Adams) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) on "Young and The Restless" on CBS/Paramount+ (from screencap)

Best Lines provided by Barbara

Audra: So, are you back in Genoa City for good?
Noah: Ooh, that is a question I don’t have an answer for. My family’s going through a lot. I’m here to support them. And once everything gets back to our version of normal, I’ll figure it out then.

Audra: You and umbrellas. How many did you lose? Like a dozen? More? Every single time it rained, you’d start with an umbrella in hand, but somehow, by the end of the day, you just managed to lose it.
Noah: Yeah. I guess I always thought of them as a single use kind of thing, you know? Once the sun came out, what was the point?

Victoria: I’m going to use Summer’s unhappiness against Phyllis.
Nick: Well, you’re gonna have a lot to work with.
Victoria: That’s it? That’s all you got?
Nick: Yeah.
Victoria. Okay, um, who are you … and what did you do with my brother?

Audra: Maybe I just like Champagne.
Noah: Well, that would be new for you. At least from what I remember, and when we were together in London, you only drank vodka, and it had to be ice cold.
Audra: Oh, good memory.
Noah: Yeah, hard to forget. You took me to a bar that the walls were literally frozen so we could enjoy our shots in sub-zero temps. Yeah, I nearly froze everything off that night.
Audra: Yeah, well, I don’t remember you complaining at the time.
Noah: I was having too much fun.
Audra: You know, I think you liked it a little because you ended up moving to a place that gets even colder than that.

Audra: Now, the only toasts I believe in are the ones I make to myself. (Takes a sip of champagne) To me.

Kyle (to Noah): I heard you were back. It’s good to see you. And the accident – I was actually in LA when it happened.
Noah: Oh, you were? What brought you to LA?
Audra: He was stalking his ex.
Kyle: Business.

Kyle: How’s Nick doing? How are you doing? You look great considering.
Noah: I’m back to 100%. My dad’s, you know, on the mend, getting better every day.
Kyle: Hey, hey, cheers to that. (Looks over at Audra) You gonna sit this one out?
Audra: Feel free to enjoy your drink somewhere else.

Noah: So you have no problem with my family being destroyed?
Kyle: Well, what’s happening to Victor is exactly what he swore he was gonna do to my family. And it’s not like he hasn’t threatened or hurt half this town, so … yeah, I’m good.
Noah: Yeah. This isn’t just Victor being affected.
Kyle: Oh, you mean his little attack dog Adam? Again, no tears.

Noah: Look, I know my grandfather has stepped on more than a few toes.
Audra: You think?
Kyle: That’s the understatement of the century.
Audra: It’s so quaint-sounding, like a bad dance partner.

Audra: The only crime here was that it took so long for karma to kick in. Victor and Adam have gotten exactly what they deserve.
Kyle: Yeah, those two being knocked down to size has been a long time coming. The number of people in this town that would celebrate … there might even be a parade.

Kyle: Just saying that Victor and Adam had it coming, and it’s poetic that Billy helped light the torch.

Noah: So no big deal that the entire family’s been gutted, my grandfather’s lost his life’s work, my family’s lost their legacy?
Kyle: Eh, Nikki can sell some jewelry. The Newmans will be dandy.

Audra: (in a hushed tone, talking to Kyle, quoting Kyle’s words back to him): “Nikki can sell some jewelry”?!
Kyle (laughs): Too far?
Audra: Classic.

Audra: Weird.
Kyle: What?
Audra: It’s almost like we’re on the same side.
