This is a stand-alone episode to celebrate Michelle Stafford ‘s 30th anniversary in playing the role of Phyllis Summers. Phyllis, Daniel, Summer, and Lucy are in the park. Phyllis tells Daniel, Summer, and Lucy that she thinks Sharon killed Heather and is framing Daniel for Heather’s death. Daniel and Summer find that hard to believe but Phyllis reminds them that a person will do anything to get what they want…even kill. Phyllis reminds Daniel and Summer she too has gone to extremes for the people that she loves. Lucy wants to know what Phyllis has done, so she tells Lucy about the time she put an octopus in Paul and Christine’s bed on their wedding night.

Phyllis then tells Lucy about her relationship with her grandpa Danny and how Danny got custody of Daniel when Danny found out he wasn’t Daniel’s biological father. Phyllis also tells Lucy she didn’t see Daniel again until he was a teenager.

Phyllis tells Lucy about how her Aunt Summer was born and about her relationship with Jack and Nick. Phyllis tells Lucy that she didn’t know if Jack or Nick was Summer’s father because Sharon switched the paternity test results.

Phyllis also tells Lucy how Jack helped her when her water broke inside the Newman Enterprises elevator.

The audience sees flashbacks of Michelle Stafford ‘s time on the show while Phyllis is telling Lucy the stories about her life.

Phyllis tells Daniel that he is innocent and they will get through this together as a family.

Jack and Diane have a very nasty argument at Society because Jack walks in when Diane is telling Kyle that she is going to turn him in to the police for stealing a product from Jabot. Jack accuses Diane of being a selfish opportunist who cares more about money than her own son.

Cole, Victoria, Kyle, Claire, and Victor witness the argument. Daniel tells Phyllis and Summer about the evidence that Chance found when he searched the apartment. Daniel tells Phyllis about the unsent text message that “Heather” (actually Sharon) wrote and never sent to Paul. Daniel also tells Phyllis that Sharon told Chance that Heather told her she and Daniel had an argument.

Phyllis thinks that Daniel is being framed for murder and that is what they tell Lucy. Chance tells Summer the tests on the bloody towels came back and the blood on the towels belong to Heather. Chance advises Summer to tell Daniel to get a lawyer.

Audra tells Jack that Victor is the mystery Glissade investor and that Victor has been a bad influence on Kyle. Audra offers to help Jack get Kyle back on track if he will help her get back Glissade. Jack thanks Audra for the information she gave him but he turns down her deal. Jack advises Audra to give up on Glissade because she will never best Victor.

Victor asks Adam to use Newman Media to spread rumors about trouble at Abbott-Chancellor. Victor also wants Adam to use Newman Media to smooth over Audra’s exit from Glissade. Adam refuses to do the assignment about Audra because he figures out that Victor is using Kyle to hurt Jack. Victor tells Michael that if Adam doesn’t do his job, Adam will be fired.

Daniel gives Chance Heather’s phone code but they both discover the pass code has been changed since Daniel and Heather share the same phone account. Daniel requests Heather’s pass code. Chance opens the phone and finds an unsent text message that Sharon wrote as Heather telling Paul that she and Lucy were going to Lisbon soon because she and Daniel have been fighting a lot and he is scaring her. Chance declares the apartment a crime scene and he and Lucy need to move out of the apartment.

Billy tells Phyllis that Jill demanded that he fire her and hire back Lily or she will take back control of her company. Phyllis asks Billy to give her a chance to talk to Jill and prove to her that she is the right person to help him make Abbott-Chancellor a success.

Faith talks to Lucy at Crimson Lights and allows her to cry and let out her grief about Heather’s death.

Sharon sets up a romantic picnic in the park for Nick with all of his favorite foods. Nick thinks it is a picnic between friends and isn’t aware that Sharon has feelings for him.

Phyllis persuades Daniel to allow Chance to search his apartment so Chance can find out how Heather died. Chance searches the apartment and finds Heather’s phone and the bloody towels Sharon placed in the apartment to make it look like Daniel killed Heather.

Jill has a video call with Billy and demands that Billy fires Phyllis and hire Lily again or she will fire him and take control of Abbott-Chancellor again.

Nate tells Devon that he went to California to meet with Amy Lewis because she had some memento of his father Nate Sr. that he might like to have but there was nothing of any sentimental value to him. Nate tells Devon that he got the feeling Amy was trying to get to know him better and he got a weird feeling from Amy.

Jack tells Claire he is worried that Victor is leading Kyle down a dark path from which Kyle will never return. Jack tells Claire that Victor is a fighter who loves and protects his family. Jack also tells Claire that Victor has hated him for years and he is taking pleasure in the fact that he and Kyle are arguing and that Kyle isn’t working at Glissade.

Claire cares about Kyle and offers to help Jack stop Kyle from going down a dark path. Chance tells Daniel that he thinks Heather was having an affair but Daniel tells Chance Heather would never have an affair. Daniel also tells Chance that he and Heather didn’t have an argument the night she died like Sharon told him. Daniel doesn’t think Heather would tell Sharon anything about their personal relationship because Heather and Sharon were not friends. Daniel also refuses to let Chance search the apartment.

Devon tells Lily that he thinks Victor is going to make Nikki CEO of Chancellor Industries after the takeover and push her out of the company. Lily goes to Victor to ask if he plans to make Nikki CEO of Chancellor Industries and push her out of the company. Victor doesn’t give her a straight answer so she asks Nikki to tell her the truth. Nikki tells Lily that she is right, she intends to be CEO of the company but she hopes that they can work together to make the company a success. Lily thanks Nikki for telling her that the truth and says she is done helping them take over Chancellor Industries.

Felicia warns Carly that she is being followed by the private detective and she is able to sneak out of Brennan’s office without being spotted by the private detective. Felicia tells Carly that she has to figure out why someone would pay to have a private detective follow her.

Anna tells Jason that their kiss was an isolated incident and will never happen again.

Kristina disobeys her mother and father who tell her not to go to the police because she will only make things worse and she goes to Anna and tells her she has information about John Cates murder.

Sonny tells Jason that if the gun that Alexis threw in the river isn’t found, he will have to turn himself in to the police. Jason tells Sonny that the police will have to find the gun that Alexis threw in the river.

Jason lends Lucky $150,000 and tries to persuade him not to go to Africa because his family needs him right now. Lucky doesn’t know what to do, so he goes to the hospital chapel to ask God for guidance about what to do.

Mariah and Tessa ask Claire if she would consider being Aria’s nanny since their nanny is leaving in two weeks to pursue a career as a poet. Claire tells Mariah and Tessa she will think about the job offer. Claire tells Victoria that she should ask Cole to move in with her. Vic doesn’t think she and Cole have reached that point in their relationship yet.

Chance talks to Lucy to try and see if she can lend any insight as to why Heather would want to leave town. Lucy tells Chance that Heather wanted to leave town because of the way Sharon had been behaving toward them ever since she and Faith had the car accident. Chance tells Daniel that someone used an app so Heather’s phone could not be traced. The last legitimate location for the phone was inside the apartment building.

Sharon and Nick go out to dinner. Sharon gets all dressed up because she thinks it’s a real date while Nick is dressed casually because he thinks it’s a dinner between friends. Sharon arrives home and fantasizes about making love to Nick after their date but, instead, Nick gave her an awkward hug and didn’t walk her to the door.

Cameron tells Sharon that she has work to do if she doesn’t want to get arrested for Heather ‘s murder.

Sharon is surprised when Chance arrives to question her about Heather’s death.

Billy and Sally continue to bond over how Adam and Chelsea hurt them. Billy tells Sally he almost told Chelsea that he was remembering how good their relationship was before but then Adam interrupted the moment between him and Chelsea.

Billy invites Sally to the Abbott-Chancellor launch party. Sally accepts the invitation and tells him they can make plans later. Adam tells Chelsea that Sally broke up with him because she knew that he still had feelings for her. Adam tells Chelsea that they should get back together but Chelsea tells him she loves Billy.

Chance tells Daniel and Summer that he has seen the preliminary autopsy report and Heather died from blunt force trauma to the back of the head and she was dead before she hit the water. Chance tells Summer he is back on the police force and he will find answers about Heather’s death to give her family peace. Sharon decides to kill Daniel so he can finally pay for what he did to Cassie.

Lily tells Victor they should plant a spy at Abbott-Chancellor. Victor thinks they can use Phyllis against Billy without Phyllis knowing that she is helping them take over the company. Lily tells Victor she has an idea that will help and promises Victor she has the situation under control.

Daniel tells Lucy that Heather is dead and they begin the grieving process for her. Daniel calls Paul to give him the terrible news. Phyllis tells Nick the news and he tells her she will find a way to be there for Daniel and Lucy.

Sharon turns on the news and hears that a body was found in the river. Sharon worries she will get caught by the police. The hallucination of Cameron Kirsten keeps pressuring Sharon to kill Daniel.

Kyle finds Diane’s open computer at home and steals information about Jabot’s top secret new moisturizer and takes the information to Victor. Kyle asks Victor to fire Audra in exchange for him giving him the top-secret Jabot product. Victor agrees and calls Audra into his office and fires her.

Nick observes Sharon closely because her sudden willingness to go see her doctor and get on with life seems off to him.

Daniel tells Phyllis and Summer that he is worried about Heather. Daniel calls Paul and asks him if he has heard from Heather. Paul tells Daniel that Hesther sent him a text message telling him she needed to get away for a few days. Daniel gets a call from the police telling him that a fisherman found Heather’s body in the river. The police tells Daniel that they took fingerprints and the prints were a match for Heather. Daniel goes to the police station and when the coroner lifts the sheet Daniel sees Heather’s face.

Sharon goes to Cassie’s grave to ask Cassie what she should do now that she has killed Heather. Sharon wonders if she has always been a person who wanted to hurt people and cause conflict in the lives of others.

Sharon remembers the good and bad parts of her relationship with Nick. Sharon realizes that Nick has always been there for her even when they were both in relationships with other people.

Sharon also remembers her arguments with Nikki because Nikki never thought she was good enough for Nick.

Sharon remembers burning down the Newman ranch when she had a bipolar episode. Sharon also remembers trying to build a relationship with Mariah after she found out Mariah was Cassie’s twin sister.

Sharon remembers happier moments with her family. Sharon thinks that the mistakes she has made in her life are because she couldn’t cope with the grief of losing Cassie. Sharon thanks Cassie because now she knows what she needs to do. Sharon returns home and tells Nick, Mariah, and Faith that she is fine and everything will be okay.

Heather demands to know what Sharon is doing in her and Daniel’s apartment and Sharon lies and tells Heather that Daniel told him to wait for him there until he returned from picking up Lucy.

Sharon tells Heather she was going to tell Daniel that he should leave town because it causes her too much pain to see him every day.

Heather doesn’t believe Sharon’s story because she called Daniel before she drove home and he didn’t tell her that Sharon was there waiting to talk to him.

Heather notices the broken glass on the floor and Sharon tells Heather that the glass was on the floor when she came into the apartment. Heather doesn’t believe that either and Sharon admits she picked the lock to get into the apartment. Heather wants to call the police to get Sharon help but Sharon knocks the phone out of Heather’s hand and heads toward the door to go home.

Heather goes to the door to keep Sharon from leaving the apartment. Sharon tries to open the door but can’t do it because Heather is behind her holding the door. Sharon hits Heather with her purse and Heather falls to her floor and tells Sharon she is out of her mind.

Sharon blacks out and when she wakes up she sees Heather on the floor surrounded by broken glass and blood.

Sharon checks to see if Heather has a pulse and Heather doesn’t have a pulse. The hallucination of Cameron Kirstin tells Sharon to clean up the mess and dispose of the body. Sharon cleans up the blood and wraps the body in a sheet. Sharon puts the broken glass and the empty whiskey bottle as well as Heather’s phone in an overnight bag and takes it with her.

Sharon drags the body down the stairs and puts the body and the overnight bag in the trunk of her car. Sharon drives to the river and dumps the body and the overnight bag in the river. Sharon drives home and starts to cry and tries to find a way to deal with what she has done.
