Maggie went to Titan and saw Xander packing up the office. She let him know that they had until the next day to sign the papers transferring ownership of the mansion to Mr. Marino. Xander felt guilty for what happened to the company and the mansion. He was glad Victor wasn’t around to see it. Maggie thought that Victor would rise above it, and he would do the same. Xander didn’t think he deserved her kindness. Maggie has seen how he changed especially when it came to Victoria and how he handled Sarah’s relationship with Brady. He felt foolish thinking he and Sarah were getting closer again. Xander could accept that she was in love with someone else, but he would never love another woman. Maggie hoped he would find the happiness he deserved.
Gwen was upset and told Leo that she lost the hospital bid because Rafe sent the board her letter admitting to what she and EJ did to Dimitri. She looked in Leo’s direction. Leo assured her that he didn’t tell Rafe about the letter. He remembered talking to Cat about the letter. EJ ignored Cat’s call. Cat went to Rafe’s place. She was worried that EJ was suspicious now that she used to work the ISA. Rafe gave her good news. He told her that Gwen’s letter kept her from getting the hospital bid. Cat walked away as Gwen pounded on Rafe’s door. Gwen was upset that Rafe made it seem like she was working with EJ, and his experiments. Rafe reminded her that she was involved with EJ. He also reminded her that he offered her protection in exchange for what she knew about EJ. Gwen knew EJ would never pay for his crimes.
